- Lucas: Hej och välkomna tillbaka till Learn Swedish with Fexingo. I'm Lucas. Luna: And I'm Luna. We're so glad you're here with us again. Lucas: Before we dive into today's little adventure, I just want to say something. If Fexingo has been helping you make actual progress with Swedish, it would mean a lot if you could support the show. You can do that at buy me a coffee dot com slash fexingo. Luna: Yeah, every little bit helps us keep making these episodes. And we love doing this, so we're grateful for any support. Lucas: Exactly. Now, today we're going to a home goods store, because we're going to buy something for our plants. Remember last episode we were at the plant shop? Well, now we need a pot to put the plant in. Luna: Oh, right. I do need a nice pot for my new little green friend. Lucas: So today's phrase number one is: Jag skulle vilja ha en kruka. Which means 'I would like to have a plant pot.' Let's break it down slowly. Jag skulle vilja ha... en kruka. Luna: Jag skulle vilja ha en kruka. That's a mouthful, but I think I can say it. Jag skulle vilja ha en kruka. Lucas: Perfect, Luna. You said it exactly right. Now, when you're in the store, you might see different sizes, so you'll want to ask for a bigger one. That brings us to phrase two: Har ni den i en större storlek? Meaning 'Do you have it in a bigger size?' Luna: Har ni den i en större storlek? That's a useful one. I know I sometimes need a bigger size. Lucas: And if you're not sure what sizes they have, you can ask: Vilken storlek har ni? Which means 'What sizes do you have?' Luna: Vilken storlek har ni? So I can ask what sizes they have in stock. Lucas: Exactly. And before you decide, you might want to look at it more closely. That's phrase four: Får jag titta på den här? Meaning 'May I look at this one?' Luna: Får jag titta på den här? That's polite and handy. So I can ask to examine the pot. Lucas: And when you've made your choice, you say: Jag tar den här, tack. Which means 'I'll take this one, thanks.' Luna: Jag tar den här, tack. Simple and clear. I like that. Lucas: So let's put it all together in a little scene. Imagine we walk into the store, and you see a pot you like. You say: Jag skulle vilja ha en kruka. Luna: Jag skulle vilja ha en kruka. Lucas: The salesperson shows you a small one. You say: Har ni den i en större storlek? Luna: Har ni den i en större storlek? Lucas: They bring out a bigger one and ask what size you'd like. You ask: Vilken storlek har ni? Luna: Vilken storlek har ni? Lucas: You pick up the bigger pot and say: Får jag titta på den här? Luna: Får jag titta på den här? Lucas: And finally, you decide to take it: Jag tar den här, tack. Luna: Jag tar den här, tack. That feels like a complete shopping trip. Lucas: And it is, Luna. Now, let's practice one more time. Repeat after me: Jag skulle vilja ha en kruka. Luna: Jag skulle vilja ha en kruka. Lucas: Har ni den i en större storlek? Luna: Har ni den i en större storlek? Lucas: Vilken storlek har ni? Luna: Vilken storlek har ni? Lucas: Får jag titta på den här? Luna: Får jag titta på den här? Lucas: Jag tar den här, tack. Luna: Jag tar den här, tack. Lucas: Perfect. Now you're all set to buy a plant pot in Swedish. Remember, practice makes progress, so try using these phrases next time you're at a store. Luna: Yeah, and if you enjoyed this episode, don't forget to share it with a friend who's also learning Swedish. We'll see you next time. Lucas: Hejdå! Luna: Hejdå!
