- 1:17Speaker 3: I know there are people who need to know this. Uh,
- 1:19Speaker 3: Paddington and Peru will be available to rental. Guy, I
- 1:24Speaker 3: know there's a there's a fan base out there.
- 1:28Speaker 4: People love that second Paddington movie. I know it's huge,
- 1:32Speaker 4: and I have not seen it.
- 1:33Speaker 1: I saw the first one, but I didn't see the
- 1:35Speaker 1: second one. I don't know which number this one is.
- 1:37Speaker 1: This one's the third or fourth one? Maybe? Yeah, but
- 1:39Speaker 1: now you know third you can own it tomorrow.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Well good, Yeah, And kind of excited about this one
- 1:47Speaker 3: because I knew nothing about it before yesterday. Kevin Bacon
- 1:51Speaker 3: in The Bondsman on Prime Video, I heard I've heard
- 1:54Speaker 3: something about it. Yeah, he's a he dead and he
- 1:58Speaker 3: went to hell, but the devil said, you know, go
- 2:00Speaker 3: back up, go up top, and you know, bring back
- 2:03Speaker 3: some demons for me. And he's a demon hunter up
- 2:07Speaker 3: on the top there, and he's hoping to make the
- 2:10Speaker 3: most of his life on top. And these are very short.
- 2:13Speaker 3: This is like eight half hour episodes. So this is
- 2:16Speaker 3: a very short series. And so day start on Thursday
- 2:20Speaker 3: on Prime Video. So it says here along the way
- 2:23Speaker 3: he'll get a second chance of life. Love and a
- 2:25Speaker 3: country music career. So I'm thinking this is the Bacon
- 2:28Speaker 3: Brothers origin story could be. Yeah, the only way that
- 2:32Speaker 3: band came about Deal with the Devil.
- 2:34Speaker 1: There was another show that is basically this show. I
- 2:37Speaker 1: can think of a few.
- 2:38Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, it's just this time it's Kevin Bacon Drive Angry.
- 2:43Speaker 1: There was a TV series. Only last we were talking
- 2:46Speaker 1: about it on Geek Show and I can't remember.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Now what is anyway, but yeah, I think I know
- 2:50Speaker 3: exactly where you're talking about, but not the name.
- 2:53Speaker 1: It's scaping me completely.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Also on Thursday on Netflix Pulse, if you like The Pit,
- 2:59Speaker 3: this is a is pepsi okay of the Pit. It's
- 3:03Speaker 3: a it's a medical drama. It's set in Miami, all right,
- 3:07Speaker 3: and from a producers behind Lost in the Equalizer, and
- 3:12Speaker 3: it's said, we're prepping for a major hurricane in Miami,
- 3:16Speaker 3: and of course we're still going to have time, you know,
- 3:18Speaker 3: We're still going to be able to make time for
- 3:20Speaker 3: sexy times of course, and distraught relationships and everything.
- 3:24Speaker 1: So the revival of the medical drama is here. It's back. Yeah.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Yeah, the Pit is surprisingly good. Oh people love the Pit.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, so I got hooked on it. Yeah, but
- 3:34Speaker 2: did the medical drama Ever Go Away.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Really not really, but it's a you know, we're seeing
- 3:39Speaker 3: more of them. Yeah. Also on Thursday, the third season
- 3:43Speaker 3: of A Surreal Estate, a Canadian import on Sci Fi.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Which surprises me that it's still around.
- 3:48Speaker 3: I know.
- 3:48Speaker 4: I watched the first few episodes of the first season
- 3:51Speaker 4: and I was bored.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:54Speaker 3: The main guy here is Luke Roman and the character
- 3:57Speaker 3: Tim Rosen from a good looking doc Holiday went on
- 4:00Speaker 3: a herb but without the mustache.
- 4:02Speaker 1: So's you might not at all?
- 4:06Speaker 3: And uh, you've probably seen a lot of ads for
- 4:09Speaker 3: this one on Hulu. On Friday, Dying for Sex, starring
- 4:12Speaker 3: Michelle Williams. This is a based on a Wondery podcast.
- 4:16Speaker 3: Oh yeah, and it's about a woman who is diagnosed
- 4:19Speaker 3: with late stage breast cancer, so she leaves her husband
- 4:22Speaker 3: played by j Duplas. Can you blame her? It's J
- 4:25Speaker 3: Duplass exactly, and her she's going on a sexual walk
- 4:29Speaker 3: about with guidance from her friend played by Jenny Slate.
- 4:33Speaker 1: That would be the reason I would, I think, so yeah, yes,
- 4:37Speaker 1: but I don't know if I'll watch Thisee. Williams is
- 4:39Speaker 1: really good. She is good. Yeah.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Also in here, Rob Rob Delaney, Sissy Spacek, David Rash Sledgehammer.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, I do too. I found it on
- 4:50Speaker 3: one of the free streamers with ads. I can't remember
- 4:54Speaker 3: off the top of my head which one it was.
- 4:55Speaker 1: There's police Squad, I want to watch police. I'll look
- 4:57Speaker 1: for it. I'll see if I find it. Thank you.
- 4:59Speaker 3: And David du Coveney got a job in the History Channel.
- 5:02Speaker 3: He's hosting Secrets to Classified with David Dukeveney for him.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Yeah, he's molder, he's being molder, Yes he is.
- 5:09Speaker 4: He's ran away from it for so long that now
- 5:11Speaker 4: he's embracing it.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Yep. And produced by those ancient aliens guys.
- 5:16Speaker 3: Could be yeah, could be. Don't know much about it.
- 5:18Speaker 3: Other I couldn't even find a trailer for it, and
- 5:20Speaker 3: it's coming out this week. I could not find a
- 5:22Speaker 3: trailer for it. Uh.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Saturday Night Live, Jack Black host, Well, it's got to
- 5:27Speaker 1: be better than this last episode. I was gonna ask,
- 5:29Speaker 1: I haven't. I didn't watch. It is not so good.
- 5:33Speaker 1: It was not even hit.
- 5:35Speaker 4: I mean, other than the news, the cartoon at the end.
- 5:38Speaker 1: What made it bad? The writing?
- 5:40Speaker 4: I can't even blame Mikey Mikey Madison Madison. I can't
- 5:44Speaker 4: blame anybody in the cast. They tried.
- 5:46Speaker 1: What else do you think? Morgan Wallen just walked off
- 5:48Speaker 1: at the end. All the sketches were just pretty flat,
- 5:52Speaker 1: pittiful flat. Yeah, didn't make the most of Mikey Madison. No,
- 5:56Speaker 1: they didn't know. And on Sunday, Uh oh yeah.
- 6:00Speaker 3: The musical guest on Saturday Night Life is Elton John
- 6:02Speaker 3: and Brandy Carlyle. They've been collaborating for a couple of
- 6:04Speaker 3: years now.
- 6:05Speaker 1: I didn't know that.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Yeah, And which leads into Sunday and Evening with Elton
- 6:10Speaker 3: John and Brandy Carlyle. Brandy Carlisle one of Utah's favorite singers.
- 6:16Speaker 3: And uh, it's gonna be Uh it's on CBS and
- 6:19Speaker 3: Paramount Plus. Uh film just last week, and it's gonna
- 6:22Speaker 3: bean all around. Uh, we're gonna play music, we're gonna talk,
- 6:25Speaker 3: we're gonna be interviewed.
- 6:26Speaker 1: I thought it was Blinda Carlisle. That's different Carlisle when
- 6:30Speaker 1: I read that first. Carlisle. Yeah, and uh that that
- 6:34Speaker 1: special will be hosted by Dan Levy.
- 6:36Speaker 3: Oh okay, so there you go. And uh a couple
- 6:39Speaker 3: of shows. Well the studio, My god, if you have
- 6:42Speaker 3: not liked the studio. Wow, you got to see it.
- 6:45Speaker 3: It's the player.
- 6:46Speaker 4: I think it was your your daughter who told me
- 6:48Speaker 4: it was just so good, he says, if you're interested
- 6:50Speaker 4: in how the sausage is made. So it's very much
- 6:53Speaker 4: So I got to use my Apple TV subscription for
- 6:56Speaker 4: something besides severance.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Yeah, is it? Is it too inside base?
- 6:59Speaker 3: No, No, it's not the Remember the the franchise from
- 7:04Speaker 3: last year on HBO behind the scenes of a big
- 7:07Speaker 3: Marvel type movie that was probably two inside. This is
- 7:11Speaker 3: more relatable. You can you can understand what's going on.
- 7:14Speaker 3: It's not You're not lost in a biz jargon or anything.
- 7:17Speaker 4: Robert, Robert in the chat room reminds me Brimstone is
- 7:20Speaker 4: the show. Oh yeah, Fox, It's it's the same show,
- 7:24Speaker 4: except this one has Kevin.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Bake Fox Friday nights.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Yeah, and also, uh might urge you to give mid
- 7:32Speaker 3: century modern a chance. Even though it's a set up
- 7:34Speaker 3: like a sitcom and it's got a laugh track and everything.
- 7:37Speaker 4: Everything I've read about it says that it's that it's
- 7:40Speaker 4: the Golden Girls without the fun.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Well, this has got some of the fun.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Three guys, Yeah, Nathan Lane, Nathan, I always forget his name,
- 7:48Speaker 3: and uh, Matt Boehmer. Yeah, and you've got people like
- 7:51Speaker 3: Pamela Adlon in here, Linda Lavin made it through most
- 7:55Speaker 3: of the season, and uh, just some real comedy killers.
- 8:00Speaker 3: And I talked about this on the TV TAN podcast
- 8:03Speaker 3: when we recorded last night.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Poor Matt Boehmer is just in the middle.
- 8:06Speaker 3: Uh he can't keep up with well, no, all these
- 8:09Speaker 3: comedy heavy hitters.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Nathan Lee Graham. Nathan Lee Graham. Yes, it's just real fast,
- 8:15Speaker 1: real funny.
- 8:16Speaker 3: It's got that you know, it's from the producers of
- 8:18Speaker 3: Will and Grace, so it's got that, you know, vibe
- 8:21Speaker 3: to it, that gay vibe.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Yes.
- 8:23Speaker 4: I mean, if you're Matt Bohmer and you're there in
- 8:25Speaker 4: that room, you don't even try to keep up.
- 8:27Speaker 1: You just play the straight guy. He's just playing the
- 8:30Speaker 1: dumb guy. Yeah, the dumb guy. Yeah. But it's a
- 8:32Speaker 1: it's funnier than I imagined it would be.
- 8:35Speaker 4: See I've been staying away from it.
- 8:38Speaker 1: It's awesome.
- 8:38Speaker 3: It's also got some Mormon references. What it is on
- 8:42Speaker 3: uh Hulu. All ten episodes are available now on huluk.
- 8:47Speaker 3: And of course we were talking before we got on
- 8:49Speaker 3: the air. Yellow Jackets just getting getting dark.
- 8:54Speaker 1: It was always dark, but it's gotten darker. It's just Wow,
- 8:59Speaker 1: I'm still blow away and I love it.
- 9:01Speaker 3: I love an episode that closes with a sleeper Kenney song.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Yes, is the coach still around on his crutches? Well,
- 9:11Speaker 1: I guess by our silence you made it betray what happens.
- 9:16Speaker 1: It's how it happened though.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, I haven't say I haven't gotten into
- 9:20Speaker 2: this season yet.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Yeah, Joel McHale shows up late late in the season,
- 9:24Speaker 3: as does Oh man, I'm forgetting your name already.
- 9:29Speaker 4: Yeah, anyway, but yeah, Joel McHale playing this tracker, you know.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Yeah, he's an outdoorsman who's a little too well groomed.
- 9:37Speaker 1: His name's Kodiak. Yeah.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Good, and I uh white Lotus Last Night, the second
- 9:43Speaker 2: to the there's.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Only one more episode. Yeah, I can't figure out how
- 9:46Speaker 1: they're gonna I like it, dude. It's getting mixed reviews.
- 9:49Speaker 1: I caught the episode last generally good reviews.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Yeah, it's uh it's last night was like, okay, okay,
- 9:59Speaker 2: we get out of this. Yeah, and Uncle Rico sitting
- 10:02Speaker 2: over there in the dark staring at people.
- 10:05Speaker 1: That was that was a rough scene.
- 10:08Speaker 4: Oh, I finally watched because it is available on streaming.
- 10:12Speaker 4: That's complete unknown the Bob Dylan.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, i'd you like it really quite good.
- 10:17Speaker 1: I was well pleased. That's right. It's on Hulu, isn't it.
- 10:20Speaker 1: I watched it on Disney Plus. Well it just seems
- 10:22Speaker 1: naughtier that way. Yeah. A lot of Hulu stuff is
- 10:25Speaker 1: also on Disney Plus a lot of crossover. Does Challow
- 10:28Speaker 1: May capture Dylan's essence? He does.
- 10:31Speaker 4: He was really good, yeah, and sang his own stuff,
- 10:34Speaker 4: and I was I didn't.
- 10:37Speaker 1: I went in expecting nothing and I got a lot
- 10:40Speaker 1: goes electric Shallo May goes electric.
- 10:42Speaker 4: That's the story is that it's it's leading up to
- 10:44Speaker 4: Bob Dylan going electric and the fallout from that.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Which was you know, which was which was a lie
- 10:51Speaker 2: that I don't know how that got perpetrated because Bob
- 10:54Speaker 2: Dylan had been electric before that moment, well she had
- 10:56Speaker 2: done electric.
- 10:57Speaker 1: But he was doing it at a folk festival. That's
- 11:00Speaker 1: why it was, I guess, but it was just like
- 11:02Speaker 1: he's gone electric.
- 11:05Speaker 4: M hm.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Any.
- 11:06Speaker 4: The guy who played Johnny Cash was really good too,
- 11:09Speaker 4: and he ed Norton is really good as Norton's.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Good as anyway, all right, well, thank you Bill Frost.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Bill Frost dot TV. You will find all things frosty.
