- 0:01Well, howdy guys. Thank you for tuning in.
- 0:03We have a great show in store for you.
- 0:06We have Stephen Whitlow here from Clear Truth Media and Clear
- 0:11Truth conference.com. He's got a big conference coming
- 0:14up. The Pastor Mark speaking at,
- 0:16it's very exciting. First conference in a couple
- 0:18years. We told him to make sure he puts
- 0:20the gay pole dancer stripper after Pastor Mark.
- 0:24If you don't get that joke, somebody in the comments will
- 0:26help you understand. We get into everything from the
- 0:29Epstein files to why Madami socialistic plan is not working
- 0:33for New York. So buckle up, get ready, you're
- 0:36in for a great show today. This is a fiscal crisis that was
- 1:00not created by working in middle class New Yorkers.
- 1:02It should not be placed on their backs in order for the city to
- 1:05resolve. It Mayor Zoran Mamdani
- 1:06repeatedly emphasized he does not want to raise property taxes
- 1:10on New Yorkers already struggling to afford their homes
- 1:13nor dip into the city's rainy day fund.
- 1:16He's presenting state leaders with an ultimatum to help him
- 1:19fill the $5.4 billion hole in the city budget.
- 1:23Raise taxes on millionaires or corporations or he'll have no
- 1:26choice but to raise those properties.
- 1:28Taxes. The mayor was asked repeatedly
- 1:30about if New Yorkers would feel betrayed.
- 1:33We're not talking about free buses.
- 1:34We're talking about dipping into the rainy day fund.
- 1:36We're not talking about taxing millionaires, we're talking
- 1:38about taxing working class people.
- 1:41Well, I am talking about taxing millionaires.
- 1:43What we need to do is reckon with the structural nature of
- 1:45this and put ourselves back on the kind of footing that allows
- 1:49us to advance an agenda. The budget gap is mainly due to
- 1:53ballooning rental assistance programs and spending to reduce
- 1:56class sizes in schools. The main.
- 1:58Mayor says he's already working to find savings throughout city
- 2:01government, but budget observers like the Citizens Budget
- 2:04Commission call a wealth tax versus property tax debate a
- 2:07false choice. Well, Pastor Mark and Steven, I
- 2:10feel like we are just seeing that socialism works, like we're
- 2:14just seeing a flourishing state, a flourishing city.
- 2:17It is beautiful what's happening in New York.
- 2:19Everywhere socialism goes, it just absolutely works incredibly
- 2:24well. History proves it and so it's so
- 2:26wise to continue the the experiment.
- 2:29It's fantastic. It is in.
- 2:31I'm curious why that? Doesn't the Gospel teach
- 2:33socialism? What's really wild is so he he's
- 2:35been in office how long? Well, since January.
- 2:38So what are we, seven weeks? It's already ending.
- 2:43That was such a classic clip. I mean, you couldn't have
- 2:46written that back December any better than what they just did
- 2:49there. Yeah, we're seven weeks in and
- 2:51it's not working. It's.
- 2:53Not working seven weeks. Like you could still get an
- 2:57annulment if this was a marriage I mean.
- 2:59Maybe this city should ask for that.
- 3:02So it's already the highest income tax rate for high
- 3:05earners, It's already 15% there. So Seattle and New York have got
- 3:10socialistic mayors running on the same agenda, and they're
- 3:14both just breakneck speed trying to determine who can do insanity
- 3:18fastest. And so, yeah, in Seattle,
- 3:21they're looking at within the city, going to 19% income tax
- 3:24would supersede New York. So right now, Seattle and New
- 3:28York, it's like, who can be the most drunk driver in America?
- 3:33Who can, you know, who can blow the highest blood alcohol level?
- 3:36I mean, it's wild, but this is what happens when you hire a guy
- 3:39who has no business experience whatsoever, and he's never run a
- 3:43company. He's never had payroll, never
- 3:45had cash flow, doesn't understand business whatsoever.
- 3:47You give him the biggest city in America and then it's a
- 3:51sanctuary city. So you open it up, people come
- 3:54in #1 now you're driving up housing prices because it's a
- 3:58supply demand situation. Now people can't afford housing,
- 4:01so now the government's going to subsidize housing.
- 4:03Now you've got people that have not financially contributed to
- 4:06the city and they're needing schools and services and they
- 4:09are draining and depleting the city.
- 4:11And all of this is just self-inflicted.
- 4:13And and on top of it all, you've got a guy who's a socialist,
- 4:17which is a violation of the 8th commandment.
- 4:19Thou shalt not steal. And if you own something and the
- 4:22government takes it, they are negating private property
- 4:25ownership and through taxation you are disobeying and defying
- 4:29God and the 8th commandment. And so this is just, you don't
- 4:33even need to believe in Jesus. You need to believe in math, you
- 4:35need to believe in history, you need to believe in reality.
- 4:39And if you do believe in God, you know that actually he'll
- 4:41never bless this because it's completely Antichrist and it's
- 4:45against what the Scriptures teach.
- 4:47We've talked about this a little bit.
- 4:48It feels like the Islam Muslims, they're they're treating the
- 4:55liberals as useful idiots and like we're destroying one of the
- 5:00most flourishing cities. For the longest time, the stock
- 5:02market, the that's it was the the hub for immigration and for
- 5:06a lot of the financial system is, is in New York and we're
- 5:09taking it and pushing all the wealthy businessmen and
- 5:13conservatives out. Trump, Trump towers there.
- 5:15It's he'd been there most of his life and he can't be there now.
- 5:19What's behind all that? Why are we pushing out some of
- 5:21the best men in these cities? It's interesting because you, as
- 5:26you bring up New York, there you have the two opposite
- 5:28perspectives of money. You got Wall Street, you got the
- 5:31movie Greed. You have that idea and then you
- 5:33swing all the way to the other side and you have a completely
- 5:36different form of greed, which is government.
- 5:38Great. And the clip started off by him
- 5:41saying and that the middle class and the working class, they
- 5:44didn't create this problem. What didn't go on to say is who
- 5:46did create the problem, which was the government itself.
- 5:49And then he went on to try to create more government solutions
- 5:53while not addressing the core issue which he actually brought
- 5:56up. He said this is a structural
- 5:58problem, but by that what he means is capitalism, not a
- 6:03structural problem of government overreach through theft.
- 6:06Well, and for those that are Christians, so the, the
- 6:09discussion among younger progressives is rich versus
- 6:13poor, which is completely Marxist.
- 6:15And, and it's, it's, it's a debate that's atheistic and its
- 6:19origination, and I've said it for a long time, but there are
- 6:22four kinds of people in the Bible.
- 6:23It comes to money. There's righteous rich and
- 6:26righteous poor. There's unrighteous rich and
- 6:28there's unrighteous poor. And in the left, they
- 6:30automatically assume that rich people are unrighteous and poor
- 6:34people are righteous. You can have very righteous rich
- 6:36people. You've got guys like Abraham
- 6:39who's very wealthy. You know, ultimately, just
- 6:43because someone has wealth, they may have worked hard, they may
- 6:45have invested. This may be generational, you
- 6:48know, obedience to God and and inheritance.
- 6:52You can have very wealthy, very righteous people.
- 6:55You can have poor people that are very unrighteous.
- 6:58They're not working, they're dependent.
- 7:01They are not intending to get married and, you know, father
- 7:05their own children. And, and a lot of this I would
- 7:07put on the doorstep of fatherlessness that ultimately,
- 7:10when you have a community that doesn't have men, then all of a
- 7:14sudden to replace those men, you need a gigantic government.
- 7:16But the problem with the government is if the men aren't
- 7:18working, there's no one to tax to pay for the government to do
- 7:21the work that the men should be doing.
- 7:22And so ultimately, as a Bible believing pastor, I see all of
- 7:26this is if Christianity was functionally in place, these
- 7:29problems would cease to exist. And so ultimately, it's a
- 7:32spiritual, it's a spiritual issue.
- 7:34It's people who don't know our God and don't worship our God
- 7:36and don't believe in our God. And instead, they either believe
- 7:39in Islam or they believe in Marxism, both of which are
- 7:43bankrupt ideologies. And, and I mean, if we're seven
- 7:46weeks in, imagine what New York could look like in four years.
- 7:52Well, we can't imagine. If you've been to Europe anytime
- 7:54lately, you probably can right in in what and where this stuff
- 7:59and the trajectory of this stuff heads.
- 8:01And what you said a few moments ago, it's the exact opposite of
- 8:06the plan that God lays out in the Bible.
- 8:08And so they're really just living out their own sin and
- 8:12they're going to see the destructive nature of it.
- 8:15So what advice you guys are both pastors, what advice would you
- 8:18give the people of of New York, the people that are living
- 8:21there, maybe, maybe the faithful Christians that are still there?
- 8:24Yeah, like our friend Mike Signorelli, who's there slugging
- 8:26it out. I mean, I'm just texting with
- 8:28him this week. He's in Gotham.
- 8:30He's trying to lead people to Jesus.
- 8:32He's in the fight, you know, But man alive, he's fighting
- 8:35gravity. And the thought of.
- 8:38So part of it, too, is I'm at the age now where I'm a grandpa.
- 8:42And so I start to think about not what's going to work for me,
- 8:45but what's going to work for my grandkids.
- 8:48And you start to look at certain cities, Seattle, Portland, NY,
- 8:53Minneapolis. And you ask, OK, what is it
- 8:56going to be like in 20 years when your son, who's 2, cowboy
- 9:00just, you know, left the ranch here in 20 years, let's say when
- 9:04he goes to get married? At this trajectory, what does it
- 9:07look like for a family to buy a house, to have multiple
- 9:11children, maybe for mom to stay home with the kids and be
- 9:14primary caregiver? Is it a sustainable future?
- 9:17And so people will hang in there for a long time.
- 9:20But once it starts to rob your kids and grandkids of a viable
- 9:24future, I think as a man in the head of household, I think you
- 9:28have a you have you have a decision to make.
- 9:30And that is, I need to leave for the sake of the future.
- 9:34Yeah, and if you're This is why a lot of the guys in the Bible,
- 9:37Paul, Jesus, Jeremiah, you know, Elijah, certain dudes are single
- 9:41and God sends those guys into impossible situations to have
- 9:45the head on collisions. But you know, you can imagine
- 9:47the apostle Paul or Elijah if they had a, you know, a stroller
- 9:51with twins in it. I mean, it's just, it's not a
- 9:54it's not a viable life. It just isn't.
- 9:57And so once you get married and once you start thinking about
- 10:00generational legacy, it becomes really hard to justify staying
- 10:03in a place like this. And if you're a pastor, you are
- 10:07a pastor in Seattle. And we were just back there and
- 10:10like, it's, it's tough and it's dark and it's getting darker.
- 10:13What advice would you have for pastors to pray through their
- 10:16calling and figure out next steps for their family in trying
- 10:19to lead and shepherd and lead a flock?
- 10:21Because it doesn't seem like there's a sustainable future for
- 10:24people's kids in these places. There aren't and as they as they
- 10:28continue to increase, not only like income tax within property
- 10:31tax. You know, if, if you're, if
- 10:33you're a head of household, you just reach a point where even if
- 10:36you love your city and you want to reach people for Christ, you
- 10:38can't, you can't afford it. Well, we know a great gentleman
- 10:41up in Seattle is property tax is now 2 grand a month.
- 10:44That's rent in Arizona. Unlike a $600,000 house.
- 10:48So if you bought that house, you know, when interest rates were
- 10:51low a few years ago, that's your mortgage.
- 10:53Totally. And what that means is you
- 10:54actually never own your home or your land.
- 10:57The government does, and you're renting it from them in
- 10:59perpetuity. And $2000 is the floor.
- 11:02It's only going to go up from here.
- 11:04It doesn't ever go down. That's why DeSantis is floating
- 11:07the possibility of trying to eliminate property taxes.
- 11:10I think it would be wise. Yeah.
- 11:12And so, you know, if you're in a place like that and you're a
- 11:14pastor, you know, reduce your debt, increase your security,
- 11:18have a, a place that is a bit of an arc for your family.
- 11:23And, and if need be, you may need at some point to live
- 11:26somewhere and come in for ministry.
- 11:29And that is like a missionary, but that is ultimately not your
- 11:32home for your family. Yeah, 100%.
- 11:35And you're 45 minutes or 45 miles South of Detroit, which is
- 11:38another one of the hubs. We're really seeing this.
- 11:40What? What are you feeling?
- 11:42What are you seeing? Yeah, I mean, so we we see as
- 11:44much of the the Islam stuff as we see the socialism stuff.
- 11:47But I think with in particular to the socialism stuff to remind
- 11:52ourselves that this is an intentional plan.
- 11:54They know what they're doing. They're they're intentionally
- 11:57defunding the ability for the family to thrive.
- 12:00And so they're trying to ruin where mom can stay home.
- 12:03They're trying to destroy any ability to build wealth.
- 12:07And if you talk to European brothers and sisters in Christ
- 12:09who are trying to fund gospel centered style churches, these
- 12:13they can't do it. Why?
- 12:14Because nobody has any money. And so you never own a home.
- 12:18You never get to build any wealth.
- 12:19You certainly have nothing to pass on to another generation.
- 12:22It is a targeted attack. You use things like taxation in
- 12:26order to bankrupt these people and eventually you strip the
- 12:29gospel and churches out of these places.
- 12:32I think what you just said, Pastor Mark, is right on.
- 12:34If I'm a pastor in there, I just have to understand where I'm at,
- 12:39where you at? You're, you're and you can seek
- 12:42the welfare of the city. You're allowed to do that.
- 12:44They weren't allowed to leave, but when they were given the
- 12:47option to leave, they did. And so it's both can be OK
- 12:51options. You just have to decide what
- 12:52you're going to do. But what you're probably not
- 12:54going to do if you stay in New York is have a financially
- 12:57sustainable ministry, environment or leave anything to
- 13:01your kids because you're not going to have anything left.
- 13:03Yeah, yeah. And, and in that too, it is, you
- 13:08know, I love cities, but at the end of the day, family is what
- 13:12matters, you know, and like I, I did 2 decades of tour of duty
- 13:17and the CHOP, you know, section of the People's Republic of
- 13:21Seattle. And if we would have stayed
- 13:24there, I know everybody's story is different.
- 13:27I know for a fact that our kids and grandkids would not have
- 13:30stayed there. Like Len is my son-in-law and
- 13:34like you wouldn't, you wouldn't be there raising your your, you
- 13:37wouldn't have your family raise your son there.
- 13:39Because I wouldn't think my son will have my grandkids there,
- 13:42and that would be devastating. If my son has to leave the
- 13:45state, I'm raising a family and to go have his own kids.
- 13:48I want to be in a place where I see generations.
- 13:51Yeah. A future.
- 13:53Yeah. Just looking at it currently,
- 13:57we're at around 5 million Muslims in the country and
- 14:00that's looking to grow because they're putting more people in
- 14:03the future than Christians are. They are.
- 14:05Be fruitful and multiply. They grabbed our verse.
- 14:07So this is this is the point I was I was trying to make earlier
- 14:10is so the Muslims and Islam were they're using the liberal agenda
- 14:16to get rid of America because the families can't flourish, but
- 14:20their families can and they're they're just trying to out.
- 14:22They're really good at business. Very good a business.
- 14:25Very good a business. They they build wealth and they
- 14:28do it in a ways where sometimes even can make us feel
- 14:32uncomfortable in in certain tactics, but they're very
- 14:35intentional. We're going to build wealth,
- 14:37we're going to pass it down because it's going to be through
- 14:39economic means. And then we're going to that
- 14:42we're going to take over. And they use the liberals to
- 14:44open up the door right to allow them.
- 14:47And they use soft liberal language.
- 14:50And then they they have a heyday.
- 14:52Well, sometimes they mass wealth through corruption.
- 14:54And I know that sounds, you know, bigoted, but just go to
- 14:58Minneapolis. You've got an entire subculture
- 15:01community that is Muslim, not assimilated, now is reportedly
- 15:05doing genital mutilation of their daughters and whole
- 15:08sections of the town operating under Sharia law, operating in
- 15:13corruption and fraud to take from a nation that they've not
- 15:16contributed to. And at the end of the day, you
- 15:18could say diversity is our strength, but that diversity
- 15:20does not strengthen anything. No, no, that's where as a pastor
- 15:24myself, I'm, I'm just very concerned looking into the
- 15:26future, that if pastors don't wake up to the problem and they
- 15:29don't start talking about politics and we'll get into that
- 15:31later. We're going to have a situation
- 15:34on our hands in a, in a generation or two where the
- 15:38Islam is planning for generations and we're worried
- 15:41about the next. We can't plan for the next 7
- 15:44weeks. The agenda is not working.
- 15:47It's killing America. So yeah, it's it's.
- 15:51It's highly concerning. It's.
- 15:53Highly concerning. And, you know, the pastors that
- 15:56are still arguing over Calvinism versus Arminianism or speaking
- 15:59in songs or speaking tongues or traditional worship or
- 16:03contemporary worship is like you're on the cutting edge of
- 16:06the 1850s. Really need to catch up.
- 16:09For sure. Yeah.
- 16:11For sure. Well, wasn't there a survey that
- 16:13came out a couple of weeks ago? It might have been a couple of
- 16:15months ago now that one of the top concerns for evangelical
- 16:21moms was a discussion around Islam.
- 16:24And who's having this conversation?
- 16:27A handful of churches, maybe across the.
- 16:29Country. But not nearly enough to handle
- 16:32a top issue from the very audience that we're supposed to
- 16:36be serving. Yeah, well, and that's where to
- 16:40the the pulpit has been turned into previously largely
- 16:46psychological self help principles for better living,
- 16:49not Christian worldview. And so Jesus really doesn't
- 16:53apply to politics, economics, cultural, social issues,
- 16:57marriage, gender, family. It's about, you know, you having
- 17:00personal fulfillment or satisfaction or achievement.
- 17:04And it's like, well, Christ is more than a life coach and the
- 17:06Bible has more than just, you know, fortune cookie, you know,
- 17:12altruisms to sort of motivate you until lunch.
- 17:15I mean it. And so there's a diminished view
- 17:18of the dominion and sovereignty of God over all things.
- 17:21And it's a very small view of God.
- 17:23It is and it, and it's shameful in the pulpit and, and to the a
- 17:27lot of the churches like the, the governance is set up that
- 17:30the pastor has to stay out of trouble.
- 17:31Otherwise, he gets in trouble with the board, he gets in
- 17:33trouble with the denomination, he gets in trouble with the
- 17:35network. And so most, most pastors are,
- 17:38are very soft, they're very quiet, they're very weak and,
- 17:42and as a result, their people are starving to death and they
- 17:45have a lot of big questions. And if the church won't answer
- 17:48them then, then where else do you go?
- 17:53Go ahead. And it as you were talking
- 17:55about, it's a, it's a lot of that Hezekiah mindset.
- 17:57Well, I'm going to be OK. Screw the next generation and
- 18:01and. So selfish.
- 18:03It is you have all these pastors, they've got their jobs,
- 18:05they've got their paychecks. And so why, why, you know,
- 18:09shake, shake things up or, or speak the truth because I might
- 18:12lose my gig, I might lose my job.
- 18:14And what we did over the last 40 years is we took all of that
- 18:18self help stuff and we threw it on a bunch of Christians who
- 18:22actually had been pretty well doctrinally trained.
- 18:24And so the church could stay strong for a while because they
- 18:27were they were strong. But then you give them 30 years
- 18:30of candy and the church gets weak.
- 18:33And so then to a weak church, the leftist agenda blows and
- 18:37knocks it over just like that. The fact that we have to have a
- 18:40conversation around is socialism biblical?
- 18:44Is all the evidence that we need.
- 18:46Most of the people will say it's the most loving, loving your
- 18:48neighbor thing to do. Yeah, because they haven't been
- 18:51taught anything in the last 30 to 40 years of proper doctrine
- 18:55that would allow them to say, well, no, there's some pretty
- 18:57easy arguments against that. Socialism isn't biblical.
- 19:01I mean it was in Jesus's like top 4 sermon rotation was money
- 19:05and finances and stewardship, and it's not in any of the
- 19:08pastor's top 4. Anymore or just read Genesis 1
- 19:11and two. Yeah, it it makes it pretty
- 19:13clear. 100%. Well, Pastor Mark here wanting

- 20:18armed 21 year old named Austin Tucker Martin drove into the
- 20:21secure perimeter of Mar A Lago carrying a shotgun and a gas
- 20:24can, and he was fatally shot as after he raised his weapon.
- 20:30It wasn't well planned. Trump was in Washington at the
- 20:33time and just tangentially, but Ryan Routh, who tried to make an
- 20:39attempt on Trump in 2024, was sent sentenced to life plus 84
- 20:43months. I don't know what they extra 84
- 20:45months are for, but for his assassination attempt.
- 20:48But we're seeing young men attack Trump and ruin their
- 20:53entire life. I mean, this, this kid, child
- 20:55lost his life. You have a son about this age.
- 20:57And I mean, Oh my gosh, that if you got that call that your son
- 21:02decided to go make a try to make a statement and.
- 21:06This is where you're seeing you're seeing mental health.
- 21:09I mean, this is a this is AI don't know the guy obviously,
- 21:11but like this is a mental health issue.
- 21:13When, when you read something on the Internet and you say, I'm
- 21:15going to grab a rifle and a gas can and walk into Meryl Largo,
- 21:19you, you have mental health. I mean, this is death by cop.
- 21:22This is this is not a tactical plan.
- 21:24This is this is just emotional knee jerk response to somebody
- 21:29who has been online too much. 100% And it it's really
- 21:33interesting that the media response, CNN covered it for 18
- 21:38seconds and no other major show touched it.
- 21:41And it was an assassination attempt on the president.
- 21:44So we're just seeing the the left kind of accepts the
- 21:47violence and things like the we saw the horrible response to the
- 21:52Charlie Kirk assassination and then the attempts on Trump's
- 21:55life. Very, very sad.
- 21:57But yeah, we're seeing young men just devastate their lives with
- 21:59mental health, demonic issues, the trans agenda, all that where
- 22:03they'll they will die for this cause.
- 22:06And it does not seem rational or ground.
- 22:09A lot of the school shooters, they're all trans.
- 22:11I mean, there's a high percentage that are trans and we
- 22:13and we know that. And even the guy who shot up,
- 22:15you know, the, the hockey match recently, I mean, he's, he's
- 22:20trans. I mean, it's like it's mental
- 22:21health, it's demonic confusion, and sometimes it's poisoning of
- 22:25the body with hormones and then people act out in insane ways.
- 22:30But we're in a culture that's saying we cannot say that mental
- 22:34health is bad. We need to affirm it.
- 22:36It's like, no, if we really love people, we need to say you have
- 22:39mental health issues and you need some help.
- 22:42We don't need to value you. We we need to help you.
- 22:46Where would you draw the line past the mark between a demonic
- 22:50issue and a mental health issue? Like, how do you, how do you
- 22:52discern that? So this is, it's a very, very
- 22:55blurry line. And so you know a human being,
- 22:58you know, you, you've got a body, you've got a soul, you've
- 23:00got the material and the immaterial part of your
- 23:02existence. And these are not
- 23:05compartmentalized. You're, you're one person in two
- 23:09parts. And so like the DSM, the
- 23:11Diagnostic Statistical Manual of Mental Health Disorders, it
- 23:15mentions the human soul 0 times. It does not recognize that you
- 23:20have an immaterial portion of your existence.
- 23:23Well, that means that all you're doing is treating half of a
- 23:26human being with any condition that's not actually helping
- 23:29them. So only Christianity and
- 23:32Christian worldview and prayer and regeneration and ministry,
- 23:35the Holy Spirit, those are the only things that really actually
- 23:38help a whole person. And, and so, but where is that
- 23:43line? It's very, very, very, very
- 23:45blurry. I mean, what people are hearing
- 23:48voices, is that them having negative self talk or is that,
- 23:52you know, is that demonic? I mean, if they're hearing, you
- 23:54know, to kill someone to harm themselves, to do evil, like is
- 23:59that just that they have a negative self esteem and a poor
- 24:01inner dialogue? Or is that literally that Satan
- 24:04is speaking to them, that the demonic is actually
- 24:07communicating with them? And, and, and again, if you talk
- 24:10about this in the mainstream with psychologists that only
- 24:13treat the body, they think it's crazy, but you're starting to
- 24:16see people that have genuine demonic manifestations and they
- 24:21believe that what they're doing is actually noble, right and
- 24:24good. And it's just pure evil.
- 24:26It's, it's murderous victims everywhere.
- 24:29I mean, even with the assassination, you know of, of
- 24:31Charlie Kirk, friend of mine, I mean, it just seems to like a
- 24:35lot of the violence just keeps coming from the left.
- 24:37Yeah, Why do you do you feel like the left is inspiring
- 24:40political violence and hatred towards the right?
- 24:43Well, so if someone is wrong, you disagree with them.
- 24:45If someone is evil, you to be moral and just, you have to stop
- 24:48them. And so now it used to be the
- 24:51Christianity was seen as dumb or wrong or irrelevant or it works
- 24:54for you. Christianity Today is now seen
- 24:57as immoral, unjust. The God of the Bible is a moral
- 25:01monster. It's patriarchal, it's
- 25:02chauvinistic, it's it's anti woman, it's anti-gay, it's anti
- 25:06trans. Therefore it's oppressive.
- 25:08And so if if the Bible and the world view that it provides is
- 25:11evil, you are morally obligated to war against it and stop it.
- 25:17And So what you're seeing on the hard left is the attack on
- 25:20Christian values and beliefs is what is called justice.
- 25:27Gosh, and leftist movements have always gone toward violence.
- 25:32They always do. It's our political structure and
- 25:34our justice structure that we've had up until this point that has
- 25:38stopped it from going further. But left wing movements going
- 25:42violent is not anything new in human history.
- 25:45This is always gone this way. You, you never go a little left.
- 25:48And so you open up the door, you're just going to keep
- 25:51walking down it. So do you think that as a
- 25:53pastor, I mean, we, we pastor churches, that pastors and
- 25:57churches should really be taking a hard, serious look at
- 26:00security, security checkpoints, just making sure the houses of
- 26:04worship are safe and protected for God's people to be together.
- 26:09Yeah. And I'm sure both of our
- 26:10churches have a pretty robust security plans.
- 26:12I know people do. But I mean, it is part of our
- 26:14obligation to to keep the the flock safe.
- 26:17And this is a, it's a new, you know, a new frontier in this
- 26:21way. Fortunately, these things are
- 26:23still relatively rare, but they're increasing.
- 26:26And and so I think we have to increase at that same rate.
- 26:29Yeah, but the the average church is very soft target.
- 26:33Yes, the average church. The average church.
- 26:36Yes. And, and I think, you know,
- 26:39churches like, like ours, where you're more outspoken, where
- 26:41you're speaking the truth, those types of things, obviously
- 26:44security should be high. And I would also imagine that
- 26:47that churches like ours too, that we're taking, we're taking
- 26:50the stuff seriously and knowing our, our people are at risk.
- 26:54Yeah, I, I think even the churches that you got the gun
- 26:59toting alpha males, we all think we're going to respond well,
- 27:03yeah, but without training in in a shooting, I I don't know that
- 27:08most Christians are going to respond like they think they're
- 27:10going to. We watch that in Texas a few
- 27:12years ago, guy drove into the drove into the church, got out,
- 27:15shot a bunch of people, including the pastor's daughter,
- 27:17got back in his truck and left. In Texas, everyone's like, oh,
- 27:20in Texas, we all got guns. Everyone freezes and you fall to
- 27:23the level of your training in a moment like that.
- 27:25So I think you can't over emphasize enough that churches
- 27:29need to run drills, do training, be equipped and equip their men
- 27:33to handle situations. You've got a good friend, John
- 27:36Level, that does some of this training.
- 27:38It's got a full curriculum for churches.
- 27:40Free resource. They can have it all for free.
- 27:42We could put that in the comments.
- 27:44John's a wonderfully fantastic man.
- 27:46Yeah. So in moments like that, yeah,
- 27:48we fall to our level of training and churches need to take it
- 27:51serious, not just, oh, we all have guns because most men
- 27:54freeze in moments like that. And we don't want to.
- 27:56We want to be the men that protect women and children.
- 27:58We'll see what just happened even in there was in Minneapolis
- 28:01where people just walk in took over a whole service and so they
- 28:04shut the service down and all the Christians left.
- 28:06I'm like you just surrendered dominion of your church.
- 28:09But the pastor came out with a good statement and later and
- 28:11seems like a decent guy and all that.
- 28:12I get it. But like man alive you, you've
- 28:15got to have a plan and the plan can't be.
- 28:17We'll let them take over and then we'll go meet and come up
- 28:20with a plan. Yeah, I mean, if a shepherd's
- 28:22plan for their flock was all the wolves, come, let me well, here,
- 28:26here's the sheep. Like that's not a shepherd's
- 28:28heart. So shepherd's need to protect
- 28:30their flock in every sense of that word.
- 28:33So, yeah, we're not we're not seeing pastors ready for it.
- 28:36And I think people need to dial up to to 10 on the seriousness
- 28:40of security of their church. And you, you do trainings with
- 28:43with the guys, so you're equipped, so they're equipped,
- 28:46so. You need concentric circles,
- 28:48security perimeter checkpoints, you need people that are
- 28:51trained, you need people on COM so they can communicate, You
- 28:54need the right technology. And if you're in a, you know, an
- 28:57urban area, hire an off duty cop, put their patrol car out
- 29:00front, put them out there with the vest on.
- 29:02And all the good guys are like, glad to see you.
- 29:04And all the bad guys are like, I guess we're not going here.
- 29:07Yep, Yep, we're in the country and we do that and we got the
- 29:09car parked out right in front of the church every single week,
- 29:12right? That armed a guy in his uniform
- 29:14sitting out there. It's also a unique and new
- 29:16opportunity for a lot of guys who are in military or in in any
- 29:21kind of policing, anything like that, to serve in their church.
- 29:24Total. Percent.
- 29:25And now they get a chance to do it, and they do it in a way that
- 29:27they know how to do. 100% yeah, that's a that's a really good
- 29:30word. It's you get out of the military
- 29:32and you want to find a purpose. And that's, that's a huge need.
- 29:35And if your church doesn't have security, go offer to the senior
- 29:39pastor. If you're, if you're out of the
- 29:40military and you're trying to find a way to serve and you
- 29:42don't fit on the greeting team, ask your pastor if you can start
- 29:45a security team and go watch Pastor John Lovell's courses on
- 29:49it and build a structure and protect your church.
- 29:51It's going to get more and more important.
- 29:53Yeah, because and of course that being heard of it is we're only
- 29:56responsible for that which God has given us dominion for.
- 29:59Yes. So like I don't have dominion
- 30:01over Mar a Lago. Now that's not my
- 30:03responsibility. But like your church, my
- 30:05whatever our dominion is, that's our sphere of responsibility.
- 30:09And we need to, we need to exercise dominion.
- 30:12We need to secure the areas that God has given us authority and
- 30:14oversight. And and if everybody does that,
- 30:17you know, we'll start covering more of the gaps.
- 30:19And if we don't, we've got a real problem.
- 30:21But like, I know you can go through Bible college and go
- 30:23through seminar. I know for a fact there's
- 30:25nothing on security, there's nothing on conflict, there's
- 30:30nothing on PR, there's nothing, There's nothing.
- 30:33I'm like all the things a shepherd should do.
- 30:36It's not part of the training. And so you walk out, you're
- 30:38like, I lived on a secure environment, Bible college or
- 30:41seminary campus. Surrounded by beta males.
- 30:44Yeah, they had. No, I just was told to just get
- 30:47up and teach the Bible. It's like, well, I'll tell you
- 30:49right now, if, if you don't know how to do more than that, you
- 30:52are, you are a risk to your people.
- 30:55A. 100 percent, 100%. Well, Speaking of safety,
- 31:01security and making arrests, really, the UK has made the
- 31:06first arrests in EU in the absentee files.
- 31:08So let's check out who they have arrested.
- 31:12The state, the police have arrested Andrew Mountbatten
- 31:16Windsor. It's an extraordinary,
- 31:18extraordinary revelation and development on this story
- 31:22involving the Epstein files and all the allegations that have
- 31:24been swirling around about Andrew over the many years from
- 31:28Virginia Giuffre, now sadly deceased and since then, and
- 31:32certainly what's been contained in the Epstein files as released
- 31:35in the last few weeks. But the police have arrived at
- 31:38Sandringham Estate this morning where Andrew has made his new
- 31:42home. It's his 66th birthday today.
- 31:45What a birthday present that is. He has been arrested by the
- 31:50police, of course, the brother of the current King, the second
- 31:54son of our late Queen Elizabeth. This is an extraordinary
- 31:57development. Those of us have been talking an
- 31:59awful lot about establishment cover ups and lack of, shall we
- 32:03say, interest by the police in what are very, very serious
- 32:07allegations against Andrew. Perhaps they're pleased that
- 32:10that pressure is finally being put on the police and they have
- 32:14done the job of actually looking into these issues seriously.
- 32:17Must bear in mind, of course, that the the Prince has not been
- 32:20charged with any crime at this point and he has always denied
- 32:23any wrongdoing in relation to any of the allegations.
- 32:28So first royal arrest in 400 years.
- 32:31That's, I mean it seems like the UK is going to make an example
- 32:35out of him and kind of an example for the entire world on
- 32:38how to handle this. What are your guys thoughts just
- 32:40initially seeing that? That's a bad birthday for one.
- 32:45Really bad hope that's not actually at 60.
- 32:47Six birthday, that's that's bad. I mean, it does seem like
- 32:51they're trying to make an example.
- 32:52I think that, but an example in a good way is a good thing.
- 32:57And so let's hope that it is an example that other people will
- 33:00take seriously. And it looks like maybe in our
- 33:02own country we need to take it a little bit more seriously.
- 33:04It feels like in our own country, we're just, we're not
- 33:07really sure what to do with it. And the people want stuff done
- 33:10with it, but the government doesn't know what to do with it
- 33:12because it would strip out most of the system if they dealt with
- 33:15it. But yeah.
- 33:16Pastor Mark what? What are your thoughts seeing
- 33:18that I mean? So this is one of those issues
- 33:21that was kind of out on the fringe and conspiracy theorists
- 33:25and then just continually is moving right into the center and
- 33:29is undeniable. I mean, that's where we're at
- 33:32right now. And what's really shocking about
- 33:36it all is you just don't know how far it goes.
- 33:39I mean, you know, there, there's continuing to be dated dumped.
- 33:43Now we find that there's, you know, additional data.
- 33:46The amount of data this man kept or those with him kept is really
- 33:49wild for the amount of the, the audacity of the crimes and evils
- 33:53that they're committing and then to, you know, sort of capture
- 33:56and retain, all of that is breathtaking.
- 33:59Usually when you're that evil and maniacal, you, you try to
- 34:02hide it, not to revisit it and to record it.
- 34:06And for the average person, it seems to me like what's driving
- 34:10this is like, if there's not moral outrage for this, then
- 34:14what is their moral outrage for? I mean, my friend Steve Days, he
- 34:18said, you know, Epstein was these are guys that treated
- 34:21children like chew toys, you know, and it's, it's just a,
- 34:25it's a violence. And when it's a violence against
- 34:28women, but especially underage with girls that are, that are
- 34:35being exploited because of vulnerability, because of
- 34:38poverty or some sort of need. And then you have men who are in
- 34:41positions of extraordinary power and wealth who are gaming the
- 34:46system to do that, which is unspeakable and diabolical.
- 34:51And then for nothing to happen, I mean, it's the best of my
- 34:54knowledge in the US, we don't have an arrest.
- 34:56No. Nobody, nobody.
- 34:59Now there's certain guys are like, oh, I got caught saying I
- 35:01like the rape video, so I'll sell my company and then retire,
- 35:05which is like, OK, that's it. Like you get not a pay penance
- 35:08moment. Yeah, like Justice.
- 35:10Like you cash out and go to Belize.
- 35:12I mean, that's, that's not there's no justice in that.
- 35:14So what you're seeing in this, we're made the image and likes
- 35:16of God with the conscience. And even if you don't believe in
- 35:20God and even if you don't like, you know, law and order, when
- 35:23you see evil, the conscience in you appeals to some external
- 35:28standard of right and wrong and you want justice.
- 35:30So even now the average person is like, I don't believe in God
- 35:33and I believe in right and wrong, but this is just evil and
- 35:36how come we're not doing something?
- 35:38So what you're seeing here, people made in God's image when
- 35:41it's so obvious that it's undeniable.
- 35:44That's where there's this public outrage and outcry.
- 35:48And you know, I voted for Trump and I, I'm glad that we have the
- 35:51president that we do. But the administration's
- 35:54handling of this is not endearing them to their base,
- 35:59and it's not building trust with the base.
- 36:02It's like if, if, if this is an issue that doesn't get some
- 36:05attention and traction, then what does?
- 36:07I mean, what? What other kind of horrific
- 36:09abuse could there be that would move those in power to expose it
- 36:14and to bring to justice those who are responsible for it?
- 36:17Yeah, and you made the parallel a couple weeks ago.
- 36:20Jeffrey Epstein Ahab, his wife Jezebel.
- 36:25The seeking of power and control through sexual sin and deviance.
- 36:29Of politics and money. 100% And you look across this, I mean,
- 36:33they've got Princess and presidents and like some of the
- 36:37most powerful men in the world are named in this list.
- 36:41In this list, there's a lot of influence and power in the
- 36:45political world and donors and all that stuff.
- 36:49I'd be really curious what's happening behind the scenes to
- 36:51keep the stuff suppressed and not dealt with from favors being
- 36:56called in and pressure being put on and threats happening.
- 36:59Like they, they seem so mixed in with so many different buckets
- 37:03of people from the UK to our, to donors in the in the country to
- 37:07presidents to I mean, even like this week, I think it was last
- 37:11week Trump came out or it came out that Trump put the FBI on to
- 37:16Epstein back in the early 2000 was like, this guy's a bad dude.
- 37:20But that hasn't come out till now.
- 37:21So there's like why? Why is it such a slow drip of
- 37:24information? And why is it a denial of
- 37:27information and then a dumping of information?
- 37:30Is very weird. So and then, and then at some
- 37:32point, you know, you don't trust the news anymore and you wonder
- 37:34what's conspiratorial and what's actually factual.
- 37:36But like they're saying, you know, now there's storage
- 37:39lockers across the country that have more evidence that needs to
- 37:42be seized. And there's a ranch in New
- 37:43Mexico, but they don't know anything about.
- 37:45And it's got, you know, a chimney coming out of it.
- 37:48And it may have an incinerator for the girls that they
- 37:50murdered. And you could have you have
- 37:52murder, you know, and body dumping.
- 37:55And you're just. We see Madame's mom there with
- 37:57Jeffrey Epstein. He's just like, well, hey, could
- 38:00we please make this a priority And just like.
- 38:02Deal with. It to the bottom of it and let
- 38:04us know like exactly what this is.
- 38:07So. It's the category of the
- 38:08demonic, like this is just demonic, it's satanic, this is
- 38:12evil. This is beyond a human being in
- 38:15their sinful fallen nature doing some disgusting things like this
- 38:20is this is hell. Come up for a visit.
- 38:24Do you feel like does the conservative, does the
- 38:26Republican side have a chance to for re election in midterms and
- 38:32in 2028 if they don't deal with this?
- 38:36Well, so, yeah, with the midterms coming, I mean, if you
- 38:38want to pull anybody in the middle, the issue is the economy
- 38:42and it's inflation, it's affordability, it's housing.
- 38:44Those are the issues. They're very practical.
- 38:46If you're looking at the far right voter base, it is issues
- 38:51of justice and things like the Epstein files are like, hey, we
- 38:54we voted you in and you said you would deliver.
- 38:57Where's the results? And there and there it's trust
- 39:00and credibility and, and in leadership, it's always down to
- 39:03trust. Like can I trust you?
- 39:05If I appoint you to do something, will you freaking do
- 39:08it? And if not, then then you no
- 39:10longer have my support. Well, voter, voter and midterms
- 39:14are always about voter turn out and I think that's the big
- 39:16danger here. Yeah, 34% of Christians are
- 39:18registered to vote. They actually do vote.
- 39:20About 50% are registered to vote, 34% actually vote.
- 39:24Yeah. And I don't know when, when they
- 39:26vote, if that's in presidentials or what.
- 39:28It's almost once every four years.
- 39:29Yeah, please skip the midterm. Yes.
- 39:30And midterms, again are all about voter turn out.
- 39:33And so when you're at the top, you're asking questions of the
- 39:36president, you're asking questions of the attorney
- 39:39general, you're asking questions of the FBI director.
- 39:41You have to think that somewhere down the line that suppresses
- 39:44voter turn out in midterm elections.
- 39:45And so we have important congressional elections,
- 39:48important senator elections, important gubernatorial.
- 39:50Elections. That are going to dictate what
- 39:53the rest of the next two years look like and what Trump is able
- 39:57to do before 28. And so if they don't handle this
- 40:02stuff and you know, conservative base that when you're just
- 40:06talking about the love of justice doesn't turn out.
- 40:08And then you could be handing the House, you could be handing
- 40:10Senate seats that you're not going to get back for six years.
- 40:12Well, in states like Arizona, I mean, attorney generals,
- 40:15governors, I mean, we learned during COVID that your attorney
- 40:18general and your governor are incredibly important because you
- 40:22could be living in one of two Americas.
- 40:25And so those midterm elections are crucial.
- 40:27So like for us in Arizona, like right now, I mean, we have a
- 40:30clown show for a governor and an attorney general.
- 40:34And if we don't fix the problem, then we're just a suburb of
- 40:37California. Yeah, yeah, We see similar in
- 40:41Ohio. We've got a, we got a
- 40:42gubernatorial election and where they are COVID Dr. is running on
- 40:47the Democratic ticket. I mean, she basically just wants
- 40:50to bring us back to 2020, right? And then on the other side, we
- 40:53have Vivek Ramaswami who's running for the Republican side.
- 40:56Then we have a senatorial election that Ohio just won
- 41:00back. And if we hand that back over to
- 41:02the the left, that's six years then of congestion in the
- 41:06Senate. And so this is a, it's an
- 41:08important midterm, like every election seems to be important
- 41:10now. And I do think this issue needs
- 41:12to be they need it for something out.

- 42:14That's gold code.com/realfaith. I think that brings us to our
- 42:20final segment on pastors being involved in politics, pastors
- 42:24preaching truth and getting bold and courageous.
- 42:28We're seeing a world that's getting dark.
- 42:31Our country's getting dark fast. Feels like we could be a
- 42:33generation away from, I mean, this thing failing, this big
- 42:37experiment of America failing, which was founded on great
- 42:40values, founded on freedom of religion, founded by some really
- 42:43good men that believe that we could do it a different way.
- 42:46And we are, we are following, following into the demonic, It
- 42:50feels very, very quickly. And pastors are just watching it
- 42:53go. And some of them are jumping
- 42:54right in and supporting the way we're going.
- 42:57So what is a pastor's role? Should they be talking about
- 42:59politics in the pulpit? Yes.
- 43:04All right, we're done. Yeah.
- 43:06Absolutely should. But I think we have to ask the
- 43:07question, why don't they? Yeah, because we can.
- 43:10We can say yes, but we have to understand the reason they
- 43:13don't. Sometimes it is just bad
- 43:15doctrine and those who can sit down, you can talk with people,
- 43:18you can work through some scripture and that might that
- 43:22might change some minds. But really I think what is
- 43:24deeper than that is because they have bought a lie.
- 43:28The, the mega church era dominated the last 40 years of
- 43:31American evangelicalism. And I, I think it died in 2020,
- 43:36but it's, it's leg is kind of still twitching, right?
- 43:39And, and so it still has an influence over people and people
- 43:42still think that that's the era that we're in.
- 43:44And so they're following the old playbook.
- 43:47And the old playbook says, don't talk about politics.
- 43:50It's the quickest way to ruin your church.
- 43:53What we need to remember now is one that's actually
- 43:56statistically not true. I think younger generations are
- 44:00craving this. 80% of churchgoers want their pastor to talk about
- 44:04it. But they want Charlie Kirk was a
- 44:06generational phenomenon. He's like, I love Jesus and I'm
- 44:09willing to talk about cultural, political issues.
- 44:12And young people, especially young men, were like, praise
- 44:15God, we were hoping someone would do this.
- 44:18And we saw this big influx in the aftermath of the martyrdom
- 44:22of Charlie Kirk, of young men showing up to church and very
- 44:26few churches kept. Saying or doing anything?
- 44:28Yeah. We saw a 25% influx in two weeks
- 44:31and they did not leave. Most churches, they left yours,
- 44:36they stayed yours. They stayed a good friend, Ryan
- 44:38Visconti. He captured that growth because
- 44:40he said the things the young men needed to hear, which is what
- 44:43Charlie was saying, which was faith in politics.
- 44:46You can't separate them. You can't separate them.
- 44:49Why are so many pastors trying to separate them?
- 44:52Again, because they've been trained, because they think that
- 44:55this is the right way to do church.
- 44:57Some of them really do just believe a lie that to to not
- 45:03separate them. They're alienating the
- 45:05unbeliever and and so they're, they're believing a lie.
- 45:08Others of them, I think we're seeing this more and more.
- 45:11They're actually just leftist and they don't want to be
- 45:14exposed as leftist because their churches are still predominantly
- 45:17funded by conservatives and one of the areas of Christianity
- 45:21that is probably bugging me the most right now are the upper
- 45:26middle class conservatives. Who are some bill funding these
- 45:30weak or woke churches. It is time to leave to find the
- 45:34Clear Truth Church in your area that is actually speaking what
- 45:38needs to be spoken and start funding those things.
- 45:41Yeah, and for me, when I didn't, I didn't grow up in the church.
- 45:44I didn't grow up and it have been jonquilism.
- 45:46I I really don't fit. I've gotten exited, which is
- 45:49fine. It's great.
- 45:50But I mean, I'm a Bible teacher. So like I'm an Exodus, which is
- 45:54like my 40th book of the Bible that I preached or taught
- 45:56through. And I think a lot of it too is a
- 46:00lack of, I'll just call it a lack of expositional Bible
- 46:03teacher. If you're going through a book
- 46:05of the Bible, there are some issues you're just going to have
- 46:09to deal with. Like I'm in Exodus early on.
- 46:12Why does God crush Egypt? They want to kill the children
- 46:16and deny religious liberty for worship.
- 46:18And God's like, I'm pro-life and I'm pro religious freedom, so
- 46:21I'm crushing Egypt. And I'm sure the Pharaoh would
- 46:24have said, man, I wish God stayed out of politics.
- 46:26He just crushed my economy, destroyed my nation and drowned
- 46:29my army. It it felt rather political to
- 46:32the Pharaoh, you know, And so and then you get into the 10
- 46:35commandments, which is where I'm at right now.
- 46:36It's like don't, don't take innocent life.
- 46:39Well, we have to talk about the unborn because it's the leading
- 46:42cause of death in America. You know, it talks about
- 46:46adultery and it talks about the sanctity of marriage and the
- 46:49establishing of family. And well, then that that has a
- 46:52lot of political implications. You go over to the issue of, you
- 46:56know, private property ownership.
- 46:57Don't steal like that. That negates socialism and
- 47:00communism. And so if you just preach
- 47:02through books of the Bible and actually deal with the reality,
- 47:06you end up having to explain in the biblical worldview things.
- 47:09So like, and even the 10 commandments they're given
- 47:12between Israel being occupied and Egypt being exited, and God
- 47:19gives the 10 commandments because they're going to start a
- 47:21nation. And he's like, OK, here's how it
- 47:24starts. First, God is over government #2
- 47:27we rule through law so that there's justice under the law
- 47:31and #3 the laws need to promote life and marriage and family and
- 47:38private property ownership. God's like those are the
- 47:40foundational elements for a nation.
- 47:43And if you say, well, I, I just, I teach the 10 commandments as
- 47:46your personal moral piety, It's like it was actually given to a
- 47:48few million people to found a nation.
- 47:50And so to, to me, I, I could argue all day.
- 47:53I could argue from Nehemiah, who works for the government.
- 47:55I could work for Joseph, you know, who works for the
- 47:57government. I could talk about Daniel who
- 47:59serves multiple terms and multiple nations and political
- 48:03entities. I mean, we just do this all day.
- 48:06And, and at the end of the day, much of the backdrop of the
- 48:08Bible is God versus government all the way down to Jezebel and
- 48:11Ahab and, and issues in Israel. And so to me, the, the people
- 48:15are going to just preach the gospel.
- 48:16Take, we'll teach the Bible. And if you teach the Bible,
- 48:20you're going to deal with issues that are culturally politically
- 48:23implicated because they're in violation of the word of God.
- 48:27And so to me, this is a do you believe in the inerrancy of
- 48:29scripture? Are you a Bible teacher and
- 48:32actually willing to connect the text to the context and teach
- 48:35worldview? And if not, go get another
- 48:38freaking job, because that's the job.
- 48:41And a lot of times, a lot of the stories you're coming up, those
- 48:43guys are coming up against demonic other religion.
- 48:46Percent. And America's facing that.
- 48:48And pastors aren't doing anything about it other than
- 48:51what we should be accepting and love those people.
- 48:53And I mean the I've been doing a bit of a deep dive on Islam and
- 49:00like Muhammad belongs on that scene list.
- 49:02He. He.
- 49:03He. Has a he married a six year old
- 49:06in his 50s? So you're in your 50s, you marry
- 49:09a six year old and consummate when she's 9, and that's the
- 49:12founder of the fastest growing religion in the world right now,
- 49:16Yes. Who's held up as the picture of
- 49:18the perfect man? Oh yeah, yeah, like pastors,
- 49:22this one's not hard. People are outraged on the
- 49:24Epstein list. Mohammed, like the founder of
- 49:28Islam, openly admitted, and he did this and pastors aren't
- 49:33saying a damn thing. There's a few great people, the
- 49:36Sedras, who we'll see later, and a few people that are really
- 49:39shouting it from the rooftops. Hey guys, you don't realize
- 49:41what's coming for America right now.
- 49:43They're putting more people in the future.
- 49:45Pastors are like, here's the four ways to live a better life
- 49:48right now. It's like, well, Nope, we're not
- 49:50going to have a life to live in a couple decades.
- 49:53When a lot of it is honestly, it's the failure of my
- 49:55generation of pastors. They all went, they almost all
- 49:58went woke or soft woke and they all adopted Third way
- 50:03evangelicalism, which is, you know, don't go to the right,
- 50:05don't go to the left, stay in the middle.
- 50:07And the problem is, well, what about when the center moves far
- 50:10to the left? Are you still in the middle?
- 50:11Because what was going to be far left 20 years ago is now center
- 50:15today. Like today, we're not talking
- 50:18about Republicans and Democrats. We're talking about socialists.
- 50:22Like we've added a whole nother category to the to the far left.
- 50:25Bernie Sanders is close to the middle now.
- 50:27I mean, it's wild and so, but it is a generation of pastors my
- 50:31age that are now running Bible colleges and seminaries and
- 50:34platforms and publishing houses and they are freaking worthless.
- 50:38They are worthless cowards. And, and they're failing young
- 50:41men and, and young men are needing to go into ministry.
- 50:45And the best guys are not coming out of Bible college or
- 50:47seminaries. They're coming out of the
- 50:49military. They're coming out of law
- 50:50enforcement. They're guys who've been on the
- 50:52street and see the reality of a failed worldview and are willing
- 50:56to have conflict and battle. And but my generation is a
- 51:00damnable failure for pastoral leadership.
- 51:04And most of them what they're doing today is it's, it's
- 51:08actually laughable. I mean, the sermon series, the
- 51:12pulling of all the punches, the neglecting of all of the issues.
- 51:15And then the, the smarmy white knight virtue signaling on
- 51:18social media. It's, it's, it is, it is
- 51:22nauseating. I I'm ashamed of most of the
- 51:25guys that I started in Ministry of I'm ABS.
- 51:28I won't name them, but they're, they're just, they're shameful.
- 51:33They are they, they truly are. So to a little bit of the
- 51:36solution, the reason Stevens out is you're speaking at a
- 51:40conference for first time in a couple years.
- 51:43I don't leave home anymore. Your conference is the only
- 51:45event I'm going to and like 2 years.
- 51:47We're glad you are so if you are going to have a pole dancer like
- 51:50a gay pole dancer after. He said we have to do it after
- 51:53after. Him after him.
- 51:55So the one of the reasons he's speaking there is because you're
- 51:58making a difference and that's why he's going to go travel and
- 52:02and do that. I'm going to Ohio in March.
- 52:05That's right there. I know.
- 52:08There's nobody going that way from.
- 52:10Scott, you're the only one. Yeah, Yeah.
- 52:12Tell us about your ministry. Tell us about clear truth.
- 52:15Like what? What is the mission?
- 52:17What? What are you seeing that the
- 52:18world needs today? Well, clear truth has always
- 52:21been about the unfiltered Word of God.
- 52:23And in the last era of American evangelicalism, you could hide
- 52:27understatements like, well, if the text brings it up, I'll talk
- 52:30about it. Because if you only pick topical
- 52:32sermon series, you never will never bring it up totally.
- 52:35And so then you don't have to do anything controversial.
- 52:38And so growing up in the, the mega church era, kind of growing
- 52:42up in ministry, I sat right in that and I went to all the
- 52:46conferences. I, I heard all of the, the talks
- 52:48and, you know, leadership summit, everything else.
- 52:51And it was always about church growth, church growth, church
- 52:54growth and church growth isn't bad.
- 52:55I love it when my church grows. I think we all do.
- 52:57But how you obtain that church, church growth really matters.
- 53:00And we sit in a time where we need a retraining of America's
- 53:05pastors. And we also need to provide
- 53:09content for the everyday believer that isn't woke in any
- 53:12of our churches. You can still have good faithful
- 53:15followers of Christ running to content from the last 10 to 20
- 53:18years that is subtly moving them to the left.
- 53:21And so we need a replacement there.
- 53:22And we also need to stop perpetuating the problem.
- 53:25We can't keep planting churches under the old mindset, the old
- 53:30mindset that was transplanted through a lot of the leaders
- 53:32that that Pastor Mark was just talking about.
- 53:35If we keep planting those style of churches, we're never going
- 53:38to solve the problem. And so Clear Truth was an
- 53:41attempt to and is an attempt to begin to push things back in the
- 53:46other direction, to challenge churches to stand for truth and
- 53:50to proclaim the unfiltered Word of God, and to begin to look at
- 53:53church through a new era and a new lens.
- 53:56That's awesome. That's awesome.
- 53:58And Pastor Mark, you do something similar training and
- 54:00clipping pastors trying to trying to make a difference
- 54:03right now. Yeah, and again, I mean, if
- 54:05you're planting under an existing denomination or
- 54:07network, the odds are you're getting resources, but you're
- 54:10also not getting good advice on how to actually succeed.
- 54:15I mean, I come from the future, you know, doing 20 years duty in
- 54:18the chop zone in downtown Seattle.
- 54:21Like all I know is conflict and head on collisions and being
- 54:24controversial and getting in trouble.
- 54:26And the new pastors just got to know that that is the reality
- 54:29that we used to be a bright blue dot is now most of American
- 54:32culture. And even if they don't live in
- 54:34your town, they're going to find you online and they're going to
- 54:36give you hell there. Yep.
- 54:37And so one way or another, the fight is coming to you and.
- 54:41If you're not controversial right now.
- 54:43If you're not making some noise, you might not be true to the
- 54:46gospel. Well, that's what I tell our
- 54:48people all the time. I said, you're going to hear,
- 54:49hey, your pastor is controversial.
- 54:51And my response to our people is ask how come your pastor is not?
- 54:55I mean, if right now to the leading cultural forces shaping
- 54:59or trying to shape the paradigm of the future is Marxism and
- 55:03Islam, and the guy who believes in Jesus and teaches the Bible
- 55:06doesn't get in any trouble, I wonder if he's doing his job.
- 55:10To what? Controversial To what?
- 55:12To the word of God? All I have to do is preach what?
- 55:16Romans won. Absolutely.
- 55:18If I just talk about what I learned in the church in the
- 55:2190s, all of a sudden I'm controversial and I hate this
- 55:25line that people always say, well, you just moved that way
- 55:28because you wanted to grow. You moved that way.
- 55:31No, by being biblically faithful, people respond, Hungry
- 55:35people will find food and they've been tired.
- 55:38They are tired of being taught the lie of getting these sugar
- 55:41candied sermons. And so they're going to find the
- 55:44church in their town that's actually preaching the word of
- 55:46God. And we have an entire generation
- 55:49of young men who are craving this and an incredible
- 55:52opportunity to actually discipline them, that their
- 55:55church engagement and their discipleship is beyond just
- 55:59serve, give and make sure you're in a group.
- 56:01Yeah, those are good things. That's a small fraction of what
- 56:03it looks like to be a godly man. And we have an opportunity not
- 56:06to train this generation to do that.
- 56:08Yeah, yeah. I think what you talked about
- 56:09earlier, that upper middle class conservative person that's just
- 56:13sitting in a woke church and paying their dues and feeling
- 56:16some status, it feels like maybe a little bit like the Pharisees
- 56:19were in the Bible to Jesus of like they didn't like Jesus.
- 56:22He was really controversial and he he bucked the system because
- 56:26he was biblical and he he taught the real gospel and pastors that
- 56:30stay true to that are controversial, but in the exact
- 56:33right way and. What are you getting in trouble
- 56:35for? Yeah, he constantly got in
- 56:37trouble for, I mean, he got killed by religious people.
- 56:40So thank you, both of you men for standing firm and teaching
- 56:44the Bible. That's unfortunately very rare
- 56:47nowadays. That's something a little bit
- 56:49about the conference as we closed.
- 56:50What are you working on? What are you hoping to do?
- 56:52What? What am I getting into?
- 56:53What do I need to prepare for? Any openers that you should know
- 56:56about? None of those.
- 56:59This conference has always been about what we we stole this
- 57:02term. We commandeered at post
- 57:04denominationalism. And what we mean by that is not
- 57:06that denominations are are bad. Some can be, but not
- 57:09necessarily. What we mean is that we are in
- 57:11an era now where as Christians we have to unify around core
- 57:14doctrine. And you mentioned this earlier.
- 57:17If we're still arguing about communism and Arminianism,
- 57:19cessationism and continuationism, we are deaf to
- 57:22what is going on around us. Our people don't need that.
- 57:25And our churches certainly don't need to be so caught up in that,
- 57:28that we are forgetting that they're transiting our our our
- 57:31kids and they're or aborting them in the womb.
- 57:33And so there is a bigger battle for us to be fighting.
- 57:36And so at our conference, all three years we've done it here,
- 57:40you're going to see a variety of speakers.
- 57:42And I mean, we have yourself, we have Doug Wilson, Rob McCoy,
- 57:47Frank Turek, David Engelhardt. I mean, you're across the
- 57:50spectrum of American evangelicalism there.
- 57:53But what do these guys have? They're not woke and and they're
- 57:56not heretics. And so that's that's kind of our
- 57:59box. We want those who are brothers
- 58:02in Christ who are willing to put some of these doctrinal things
- 58:05behind us and say, let's focus on the fact that once we restore
- 58:09truth to the public square, then we can start arguing about our
- 58:12favorite topics again and which church planning organization is
- 58:15best. But in the meantime, we need to
- 58:17band together and we need to fight the battle together.
- 58:19So that's what the conference has always been about.
- 58:21OK, that'd be fun. I'm looking forward to going.
- 58:25Yeah, I've never been at a Christian nationalist event.
- 58:28This will be. Exciting, I know you officially
