Casino. Siamo con il direttore Massimo Lualdi
• 1:17
che introduce l 'argomento odierno. What are
• 1:20
we talking about today? Music. Originally from
• 1:22
Slovenia, father engineer, mother singer and
• 1:24
polka in the band of Frank John Jankovic, Andrea
• 1:27
True, pseudonym of Andrea Marie Truden, entered
• 1:30
the musical world at the age of 15 in the television
• 1:32
broadcast Teen Beat, on the local TV WTVF in
• 1:37
Nashville, Tennessee, then cultivating his talent
• 1:40
by studying singing and performance first in
• 1:42
a Catholic school in Nashville and then at George
• 1:45
Peet Body College at the University of Vanderbilt.
• 1:49
At 19, Andrea True married David Wolf, but divorced
• 1:53
very soon. After moving to New York and having
• 1:57
tried, without particular success, to enter the
• 2:00
world of the show as a dancer, singer and actress,
• 2:03
in 1972 she started her career as a porn star
• 2:06
with the film Meatball. In reality, in the world
• 2:09
of art, Andrea debuted with the name of art of
• 2:12
Sing Low, even if then it would be assumed that
• 2:15
he had already shot other films in Scandinavian
• 2:18
red lights, shooting about 50 films, also under
• 2:20
the nicknames of Inger Kissin, Sandra Lips, Andrea
• 2:24
Trevis and Catherine Warren. Andrea also had
• 2:27
a role as a director in the film, always pornographic,
• 2:30
Once Overnightly. Completely by chance, in 1975,
• 2:34
on the occasion of the recording of a spot in
• 2:37
Jamaica for a real estate company, she happened
• 2:39
to record the demo of what would have become
• 2:42
her first big success album. More, more, more.
• 3:02
song on which he had worked with his partner
• 3:04
as well as record producer Greg Diamond thus
• 3:07
giving way to his musical career. The single
• 3:11
More, More, More, ironic in its role as actress
• 3:14
Arda, achieved great success and, although it
• 3:16
was hypothesized as an extraordinary project,
• 3:19
in fact it was the abandonment of the porn world
• 3:21
of Andrea True for the new career, much more
• 3:24
profitable as a musical interpreter. A musical
• 3:26
path based mainly on videos and titles, for example
• 3:29
White Witch, containing references to past indifference.
• 3:33
In 1977, the success of More, More, More was
• 3:38
replicated with the famous What's Your Name,
• 3:40
What's Your Number, which followed other pieces,
• 3:59
although without the same commercial result.
• 4:21
At the beginning of the 80s, however, she was
• 4:24
diagnosed with a lump around the vocal cords,
• 4:27
whose surgical removal in fact concluded her
• 4:29
musical career, which, however, already seemed
• 4:31
to be over. Subsequently, Andrea retired to private
• 4:35
life in his house in Woodstock, where he led
• 4:38
a simple, reserved and quiet life. Andrea True
• 4:42
did occasional jobs far from the world of the
• 4:45
show, worked in the real estate field, in telemarketing,
• 4:48
but also as an astrologer, integrating the constant
• 4:50
discussion of the copyrights of her songs. She
• 4:53
rarely gave interviews and remained almost away
• 4:56
from the fans, making an exception in 2005 when
• 4:59
she appeared in the documentary Inside Deep Goal,
• 5:02
obviously referring to the famous porn film Deep
• 5:04
Goal with Linda Lovelace. Andrea True died in
• 5:08
2011 at the age of 68 due to a heart problem.
