- 1:48go. I'll see you live on the Wealth Hotline. So
- 1:59now I've done that. Let's go to the first caller. Let's
- 2:02do this. This is Caroline. Here we go. This is
- 2:07a bit of roulette because sometimes you don't know if they're gonna answer. Caroline
- 2:22Lloyd. Yes,
- 2:27you're on the world hotline and I've got your Australian mobile number
- 2:30here so. Yes. No,
- 2:38that's okay. I think you're doing a wonderful job of being easy to contact. So thank
- 2:41This is a fabulous opportunity.
- 2:46So I really appreciate it. The last time you put it out there. Yeah,
- 2:49I was just reluctant only because I thought there might be
- 2:52other people more deserving or whatever. But this time having seen what
- 2:58And there you go. I love it. Thank you for throwing your hat. I'm excited for you to
- 3:01throw your hat. So Carolyn, what question do you have
- 3:07I'm trying to work out where I'm at regarding what to do with my
- 3:10cash and I have a fear about putting all of this cash into investments
- 3:15given that I have still property, which
- 3:19is mortgage. So I'm looking, you
- 3:22did ask me when we last interacted and
- 3:26I've been in Newcastle, I'm in Newcastle, I'm sorting out
- 3:34What is your underlying like core question that
- 3:37you need answered? Like what is on your mind? What
- 3:44I think it's validating, I've sort of worked out
- 3:47one approach, it may not be the only one, but I've worked out
- 3:51one approach with my cash. Because
- 3:55it's not a case of I can't hold on to cash, but I'm worried about
- 3:58putting it in stocks and shares, and then it not going up for
- 4:02Got it. Okay. So you're wanting to know how to deploy your cash
- 4:10Some of that will be potentially buying my mother's apartment,
- 4:18We have all these options. So we have on the options for cash, we have
- 4:21do nothing and leave it in an account. We have put into a term deposit
- 4:25and get some returns. We have pay off debt. We
- 4:29have keep properties and pay off debt. We have perhaps
- 4:32investing in some other assets like shares, et cetera. We've
- 4:39So my question to you is, irrespective of the size of the cash, What
- 4:44is your overall objective? Like, what do you want to achieve financially?
- 4:52Well, it rolls into one, but it's in
- 4:57I'm in a situation now where if I use my money sensibly,
- 5:01I can be reasonably comfortable. But
- 5:06that intention is, I'm not at the moment, rich
- 5:10enough to be able to do whatever I want. But the nice
- 5:14thing about being reasonably comfortable is I can now create
- 5:17another business and involve other people
- 5:22without having so much concern about my security,
- 5:39It's working out the
- 5:43method for paying down some of these mortgages.
- 5:47I've taken on board your comment about potentially
- 5:55Okay, so let's look at it like this. You've got, how
- 6:01At the moment, there may be some calls on it, but in the UK,
- 6:14That doesn't matter. And about $205,000 in
- 6:19Okay, so let's say there's say 200K Aussie and there's about, so
- 6:23you probably got around 800K total or 700K Aussie, yeah?
- 6:27Yeah. Okay. So how much debt do you have
- 6:35My UK properties, it's 500 and
- 6:40just looking at the form, 551,000. Pounds?
- 6:52Okay, so let me ask this question. How many properties do
- 6:59Class four. So that's five. Two of
- 7:08Five total. Okay,
- 7:13total properties, how many total properties do you own? And
- 7:19Six total, but the
- 7:25Okay, perfect, wonderful, excellent. So let me ask
- 7:28this question. What is preventing you from just paying off
- 7:32all the debt of those properties and having them all debt free and having them
- 7:43trying to work out what the best way of using
- 7:50So. So my question to you is though, if
- 7:53you've already got the properties, they're already producing income, you've
- 7:56already transacted them, what's preventing
- 8:00you just paying off the entire balance of the debt and have them all
- 8:03debt-free, all producing passive income to you? So you can
- 8:13Because I'm looking at buying my sister's half of
- 8:22Well, I'm getting valuations at the moment, but I guess is
- 8:26I may have to pay her eight or
- 8:32So is your objective to just accumulate properties
- 8:40The latter, but I'm trying to put in
- 8:43some backup plans because things are not good
- 8:48Sure, okay. So you want to diversify your real estate holdings
- 8:54So what would prevent you from selling one of your properties over there
- 8:58and adding it to your cash and buying the
- 9:04Well, that's what I'm looking at at the moment, as well as paying down
- 9:12What's interesting, Caroline, about your situation with six properties with
- 9:15only 550 odd thousand pounds of debt on it
- 9:19with all your cash too, is that you
- 9:23have the ability now to
- 9:29have probably four of them. fully
- 9:33paid off and unencumbered if you include the Australian one. So you
- 9:36can potentially sell two in UK and
- 9:40use the cash to buy the one here in Australia and you'd have
- 9:44to pay off the debts. But you have the opportunity now with your cash and
- 9:47your equity in your portfolio to actually own probably
- 9:51four of them outright. And
- 9:56so you're actually like a breath away from financial freedom.
- 10:00Like you're one decision away. And I think what
- 10:03happens to people is they get confused thinking they always have to invest in
- 10:07some other asset class. Like, I have to invest in shares. I have to know everything about
- 10:10everything. I have to invest in gold. I have to invest in, you don't have to
- 10:13do everything and anything. You could just, like real estate's a very solid asset,
- 10:18particularly if you're looking at real estate in major Western
- 10:22countries, right? So there's probably nothing
- 10:26stopping you from having financial freedom and independence with just a
- 10:29paid off property portfolio. Like
- 10:38I'm not arguing with you. It's just because
- 10:47And at times you don't have someone to bounce ideas
- 10:52Therefore, having a backup, I
- 10:55can see that since two of my, or
- 10:59all my rental properties, I hold in a limited company.
- 11:04They were bought with a director's loan so that all the income can,
- 11:09for 10 or 20 years, be put into me tax-free. The
- 11:16only other thing I was going to say is one of the benefits I've had from
- 11:19doing your course, apart from looking at things with a different hat,
- 11:24is because the properties are owned by a company, I
- 11:28can own them up until I think I'm 80. I've got another
- 11:3110 years before I'm forced to pay off mortgages. So
- 11:35I've realized that I could, for example, for one of
- 11:38them, pay down 70. So I'd
- 11:42have the current repayment would be interest
- 11:47Yeah, but I think you're complicating it. I
- 11:51think you're complicating it. I like if the roles were reversed, I
- 11:55would. Apart
- 12:00from this one, you want to buy it. You're just in a position where you can be debt
- 12:03free off on six properties. Like it's one
- 12:07decision away. Yeah,
- 12:14so I think it's like, that's why I asked at the very outset of the call, what's the
- 12:17objective? And a lot of people can get carried away with objectively just
- 12:21building empires for the sake of empire building without a real clear
- 12:24understanding of what they're trying to actually achieve with their life. So that's why
- 12:28that's why the question is, what kind of life do you want to live? Not how many properties do
- 12:31you want? So it would be what if with
- 12:35one fell swoop, you could pay off pretty much all the debt of
- 12:38all the properties, perhaps tuck away a bit of extra cash for for
- 12:41emergencies, etc. But all the income from those properties with
- 12:45no debt on them will provide you enough passive income to literally live a life
- 12:52I guess I'm not taking that on board yet. It's the
- 12:58Well, if you had your home paid off and
- 13:02you had five properties debt-free producing income, how
- 13:08Well, that's what I'm just sort of net. I'm sort of working
- 13:12through. I've done that number. Yep. I
- 13:15haven't done it for the paid off. At
- 13:18the moment, let me just look at the table
- 13:25Here's what I would suggest to you. Here's what I would suggest. I
- 13:28would suggest looking at how much passive net
- 13:33income. So net income means after costs of running the property. So
- 13:36the operating costs, how much net income after
- 13:41tax goes into your pocket on a
- 13:44weekly or monthly or annual basis without
- 13:48any debt on those properties. And if the
- 13:51answer is, well, actually that's pretty much like a full-time salary. You're
- 13:56literally living like the 1% of the 1% of the 1% of the
- 13:59world. And you can then start to really
- 14:02decide on how do you want to actually live your life. Now, that doesn't mean you have to stop
- 14:06working either, by the way. You can do both. You could have passive income coming
- 14:09in plus keep working. But you have a choice then to really
- 14:12work on what you want to work on. And I just,
- 14:17I don't think you need to complicate it that much because
- 14:20you've done all the hard work already. Like to have
- 14:24a home paid off and potentially in a breath have five
- 14:27other property investments paid off producing passive income. You're in
- 14:30a seat that you're the envy of the world and
- 14:34your mindset might be stopping you from just making that decision because perhaps you're
- 14:44I'm listening. This is why I joined
- 14:48your group. Yeah, this is why you called in. No, no,
- 14:51totally. Because people sometimes call into me or talk to me and say, oh,
- 14:55Lloyd doesn't like property. Of course, property
- 14:59is an effective asset. It produces cash flow, grows in value of time. I
- 15:02just don't like overpriced property, like anyone. And I
- 15:05also don't like big mortgage debt. And I like optionality. So
- 15:09I just think about your situation, think, God, you've got all these properties, you've
- 15:12paid the transaction costs already, they're already in place, they're already producing
- 15:16income, you've got this cash, I mean, you
- 15:19eliminate the debt, you've got no debt on it, fully risk free, like, you know,
- 15:23there's no debt risk, no financial risk. And then you've just got you're
- 15:27passive income tricking and you've got multiple doors. So you've got multiple
- 15:31properties, so it fortifies the income, it's diversified across
- 15:34multiple properties, you don't have any home mortgage debt, and you're at an age where
- 15:38you can keep working and have both. And I really do think that your
- 15:41decision where to deploy the cash, it doesn't have to be complex. right?
- 15:46It's just where's the most, where's probably the most obvious place
- 15:49to deploy it to get the life you want. And if I know where
- 15:52that is, and if I were your age and where
- 15:56you're at with everything, I think you're just so close to having financial freedom. So
- 15:59I would say to you this, to finish the call, look at the amount
- 16:02of income you can make with debt free properties. And
- 16:08make the decision of where to deploy the cash based on what is the safest, fastest,
- 16:13most effective route to getting passive income for the rest of your life. And
- 16:16take the path you understand. You don't have to play in games you don't understand just
- 16:20because. And
- 16:23if the income's not enough, then keep working until it is enough. But
- 16:27I would argue that
- 16:30if you can't live a nice life on no
- 16:34mortgage debt and five paid off property investments, then
- 16:40perhaps you just need to bring a laptop. Yeah, it'll be a lot. And I think you're
- 16:44there. So I would say to you, go check out the numbers. And
- 16:48then when you get to the number, shoot me a DM on Instagram, whatever it is, and just
- 17:01Okay. Home mortgage, 1.97% interest. So
- 17:05really to pay that off when I've got another two years at that rate.
- 17:10Secondly, what I learned from you is I could pay 18 down on
- 17:13a property and invest 40. And in 10 years, when I
- 17:17have to redeem the mortgage, I can come out with 8% interest
- 17:21at 102,000. So, you know, I can
- 17:25pay less down if I use some of the investment strategy, as
- 17:28long as it works. That's why I'm being careful and trying to
- 17:35Well, it just means you've got to learn a whole new landscape. That's
- 17:40all. It's all. And what's very tricky at
- 17:43the moment is how do you deploy large amounts of cash into any market?
- 17:48See, when you pay off debt with cash, it's
- 17:52a guaranteed riskless investment. Because
- 17:57paying off debt, your return on investment is the debt. You
- 18:01don't have to pay the cost of the debt, right? So it's an absolute guaranteed return
- 18:04when you pay off debt. Whereas when you're going into, say, the markets, you've
- 18:08got to remember that it's a very richly valued market. And
- 18:11it's tricky to deploy half a million pounds, whatever it is, into that. Because
- 18:15what if the market goes sideways for 10 years, collapses? The
- 18:19best way to invest in alternative assets or even
- 18:23stocks, if you've got lump sums, is to actually dollar cost average
- 18:37I don't know if you have to because the entire
- 18:41objective of investing is to get enough passive income to just not work again, as far
- 18:44as I'm concerned. So you're just so close to that. Now,
- 18:48if you happen to, for example, have 1.95% of
- 18:52your mortgage, you don't want to put your money there because there's not a high return on investment of
- 18:56the debt. Perhaps even a high interest account
- 18:59of some sort would be better at 5% because it's better than a mortgage of 1.9%. So
- 19:03just something that's... that it doesn't have to be
- 19:07risky, but something that's gonna compound more than 1.9% would
- 19:11be fairly appropriate. But once that term expires
- 19:15and the interest rates trigger back up, you will wanna pay the
- 19:18debt off because the interest rate will be higher. So I think just optionality
- 19:23is an asset as is having debt-free assets. Got
- 19:27it? So I can't say to you, Caroline, go and
- 19:30put your money in this stock or that if I can't give you the financial advice. But
- 19:34what I can say is, I don't
- 19:37think it has to be risk assets. I don't think it has to be complex. I don't think it has
- 19:40to be anything but probably pay off the high interest debt
- 19:44as soon as possible and
- 19:49sit on the cash in a high interest term sort of account for a while until the other mortgage
- 19:53kicks up a gear and then pay it off. Or you could just pay it all off
- 19:56now and just get it over with and you live your life. You
- 19:59know, I just think it's that close. So here's my suggestion. One,
- 20:04figure out the amount per year coming in from the debt-free properties, okay?
- 20:07And then once you do it, send it to me on Instagram. I wanna see what it is. Okay?
- 20:12That's your task. Cool. All right. No worries.
- 20:25There you go. Interesting, isn't it? Keep
- 20:30things simple. Simple scales, complex fails. You
- 20:33don't always have to... God, financial independence is so close to
- 20:37so many people. It's just like, let's just do the step and get the freedom today. Let's
- 20:40just do it now. It's almost like people are afraid of
- 20:44that sometimes, which is normal, because it's like, oh my God, I actually have the
- 20:47thing I really wanted all this time, freedom. Oh my God, I'm scared now. What am
- 20:50I gonna do? Because it's a very unknown area, right? So, I mean, so
- 20:54cool to see Carolyn. She's so close to freedom. She's there already. I mean, it's pretty
- 20:57simple stuff. But hey, paying off debt at
- 21:00a time when debt is quite getting more expensive as well, in
- 21:05many cases from what it was, it's a pretty good return, right?
- 21:08Like last time I checked, you can't go broke with no debt. Okay,
- 21:13let's do another one. Let's go Kirstie now. We'll give her a call here. See
- 21:17if I can copy.
- 21:22So these will typically go for 10 minutes. That one was a bit longer. That
- 21:25was a bit more protracted, but let's go for Kirstie here. See
- 21:31if she answers. Here we go. Wonder
- 21:35what the question's gonna be here. Kirstie
- 21:47Lloyd Wow, what's up?
- 21:50Perfect timing hope they're asleep
- 21:54Wonderful excellent put him in front of the box brilliant. So is this a
- 21:57good time? Oh Marvelous,
- 22:10so we're on the Wealth Hotline. Oh, exciting. So
- 22:17Amazing. On my mind was how to
- 22:23bring value, I guess, as like,
- 22:27I'm not exactly a fresh startup, but I do pet for keepsakes. And
- 22:31I'm like, how do I bring that as a value perspective to someone
- 22:35like yourself or a person of influence to get the word out there about the
- 22:41Yeah. Um, as in like, um, family pet
- 22:45passes and they keep a bit of fur and I can set them
- 22:52So when the pet, so when the pet passes away, you give keepsakes.
- 22:56Okay. That's your business. Yeah. Yeah. Excellent. So
- 22:59the question is, how do you build a brand around it and get the message
- 23:07like to do is to reach out to people like to
- 23:10obviously build endorsement and awareness about the brand. At
- 23:14the moment I like locally is
- 23:18where I've sort of started with it is to go and approach vet clinics to
- 23:21then get referrals for their clients. I'm like okay I need to
- 23:24think bigger than that and more outside of the box than that. How
- 23:29can I approach yeah like famous
- 23:33people, for want of a better word. Yeah,
- 23:37to sort of build my brand awareness, but also to give back to them. Cause
- 23:40I don't want to just go, Oh look, this is a cool thing. You know,
- 23:48So how many, do you sell products? Do you sell a specific amount
- 23:51now? Like is it consistent sales? Are you doing, you got- They're
- 24:04Ideal customer is probably dog owners or
- 24:07horse owners. Horse owners are helpful because they're
- 24:11large animals and they're very hard to cremate.
- 24:18Okay, cool. So they're the specific animals that
- 24:21people become attached to the most, like a family member? Yeah. Okay,
- 24:25cool. So how do you get your keepsakes in front
- 24:28of more people? So I think it's a matter of, you're
- 24:32already kind of doing it with the vets, but a couple of things I would
- 24:35do. Firstly, I would
- 24:39be blogging and posting on Instagram every
- 24:52Okay. So I'd be doing, I'd be aiming for at least two posts a
- 24:55day. And what I would be doing too, is I
- 24:59would be, I would be learning the
- 25:02ins and outs of Instagram and I
- 25:06would be, uh, I'd be doing a
- 25:10different variety of content, but more often than not, it's just
- 25:14documenting your journey with your business. Okay. So don't
- 25:17have to overthink it. You don't have to be super creative, but the most important
- 25:20thing is people know you exist because you can't sell a secret. And
- 25:24so the idea of the Instagram would be, over time, you
- 25:28would want to be doing collaborative, shareable
- 25:33content with the vets via their own Instagram account, so
- 25:37that it's going to their audience. So if I think about
- 25:40all the partnerships you want to create, you'd want to create partnerships with
- 25:45people like pet angels who come and collect your pet when it passes away.
- 25:49And pet angels have their own keepsakes, but at the same time,
- 25:52you could definitely partner with them for things they don't provide. And
- 25:57there's more than just pet angels that would do that service. So it's those
- 26:00services, it's definitely vets, but you could specifically
- 26:04partner with a type of vet that has a large Instagram following and
- 26:09database. And what you'd want to do is you'd want to incentivize them.
- 26:13So you either pay for placement or you give them certain things
- 26:17for their audience that they value. So you don't, so you actually like
- 26:22Yeah, exactly. And that was where I sort of was hitting a bit of a wall. I'm
- 26:25like, I don't want to just cold message without a
- 26:31Well, you can. Well, we've got a purpose for me, but for someone else, what are
- 26:34they getting out of it? Yeah, so you can cold message and how you would do
- 26:37it would be, you would start with $200 per referral
- 26:42in the top message in a DM. So they know
- 26:45they're going to get paid for whatever it is they're about to look at and read. And
- 26:49you can literally just start the sentence with that. And then you could just
- 26:52DM them and say, Hey, this is, I have keepsakes. I'm looking to collaborate. I'm
- 26:56open to paying for collaboration and shout outs and cross-pollination
- 27:00of audiences. Is this something you're open to? Would you be open
- 27:04to, I do this, I'm looking to build my business. I want to
- 27:07work with local vets. You caught my attention because of these reasons. Would
- 27:11you be open to a collaboration that's a win-win outcome? Because
- 27:15people aren't gonna be closed off to a win-win outcome. They're gonna be open to it,
- 27:19right? No one's gonna say, no, I'm not interested in a win-win outcome. But when
- 27:23it comes to yet, when they say, yeah, I'm open, you have to definitely have something
- 27:26that's of value to them. Because what's of value to you is their
- 27:29audience. And so what they'll be saying is what's in
- 27:33it for me, right? And the fastest way
- 27:36to get what's in it for them is give them money. That's
- 27:41the five like I'll just give you money, right? So you got it you could start there
- 27:44and as you start to evolve this and have more conversations You
- 27:48may want to actually then decide well actually I've got this in it for you So
- 27:52there'll be other things you can provide that that might not be money. But at
- 27:55the outset it's gonna be money and what you want Yeah,
- 28:01totally and so you can literally DM every
- 28:05vet that's in Australia on Instagram
- 28:10And DM them on LinkedIn too. I don't know if Vets, I think Vets might
- 28:14be on LinkedIn as well. But they're definitely gonna have Instagram accounts for their own business. They're
- 28:17probably maybe gonna have Facebook account, but Instagram is easier to get in touch with them.
- 28:21And possibly LinkedIn, right? Okay, sweet.
- 28:33But you don't have to be there in physical in person to give you
- 28:50Fine, so it can be everywhere, because a Zoom call
- 28:54is as good as a meeting. But referral partnerships is
- 28:57one form of marketing. What you want to look at from your Instagram is
- 29:00you want to probably find a couple of reels that work well. So
- 29:06when you're putting content out, watch for the content that really hits
- 29:09home to get a lot of followers. And those
- 29:13that work well, all you would probably want to do in the first instance
- 29:16is start paying and hit the blue button that says boost and boost for followers
- 29:20for that particular reel that you did. And as people
- 29:23are coming in and following you, you want to hit the follow back button and
- 29:26then you want to actually have a conversation with them in the DMs. Got
- 29:31it? So, yeah. So, and one of the things you
- 29:34can do is like, you can also follow the pet
- 29:39accessory pages because all your perfect
- 29:43clients are on those, following those pages. So pet accessories, et cetera. Potentially
- 29:47pet food, depending on what kind of pet food it is. Dogs obviously is
- 29:50one that you want to go for. And if you just went and
- 29:54followed those accounts, all your perfect customers are in the comments. And
- 30:00so you can actually like, you can start
- 30:04to DM and follow some of those key customers, particularly ones that have,
- 30:07you know, a few hundred friends on their Instagram. And you can start to
- 30:10have conversations with your customer. Right? And
- 30:14they'll find your page and so forth. Now, when their dog passes, they might see
- 30:17you, but what will happen is you'll start to attract that followership to
- 30:21your Instagram account. And then as you start to
- 30:25boost more of your stuff and advertise your product range, you
- 30:29can very much, like you can select your audience. And
- 30:33what you'll want to do is have a specific reel for
- 30:36one product that is your best selling product and have a
- 30:39link for them to actually go and buy it. So
- 30:44you could do a reel that's selling your best keepsake and
- 30:48have an ad that's crafted to hit an audience where they've just lost a
- 30:52dog. And you can literally pop
- 30:55up in front of their feed with that ad and either have it
- 30:58click a link to go buy your thing or click follow to follow
- 31:02here. And you can have a conversation in the DMs. But paid ad
- 31:05strategies to a specific audience targeted
- 31:08for a specific time for a specific thing is
- 31:12the power of paid traffic, and you need to harness it. But at the same
- 31:15time, you're building your Instagram account organically, you're looking at
- 31:18what works, you're testing different content, and then
- 31:22one that hits, do an ad around it, pay the money to target your audience,
- 31:25get them to come in, buy your keepsakes. And that's probably the fastest
- 31:28way to build customer acquisition. Meanwhile,
- 31:38Yeah. Like, I guess
- 31:42I targeted that mostly because they would be
- 31:49They're referral partners. So they will send
- 31:52you consistent, hopefully over time, consistent customers. But
- 31:56you can also target people who literally have just lost their pet today in
- 32:04You just put an Instagram ad together. If
- 32:07you go to Udemy, have you heard of Udemy? U-D-E-M-Y.
- 32:13Go in there, get a course for cheap on how to craft
- 32:17an Instagram ad. Watch it, then
- 32:21go craft an Instagram ad to your perfect audience, to
- 32:24your best keepsake and see if you can make a sale. Yeah,
- 32:28right? Beyond that, there's things that you can do with your landing page, where
- 32:31they're going, et cetera, et cetera. There's more to it than just that. But
- 32:35try just with Udemy, craft the ad on your Instagram, and
- 32:38then go and see if you can develop a sale of one of your keepsakes. But
- 32:43there's lots to it, right? There's branding over time, content you gotta put out
- 32:46each day, do your referral partnerships with your vet, but at the same time,
- 32:49do a small paid strategy. But the most important
- 32:53thing is that you have to understand that this is gonna
- 32:56be consistent action every day for the next 10 years. That's
- 33:02just how it is. Got it?
- 33:06Totally. Yeah, absolutely. So go do that. Yeah,
- 33:11absolutely. Absolutely. Absolutely. Just stay with it. But go and keep
- 33:14testing these things. And also, last bit, find an
- 33:17account that's already marketing keepsakes like yours, perhaps
- 33:21in a different country like the United States, and model exactly
- 33:25what they're doing. Clone them. So
- 33:30how they post, you post. Model their ads. Model their
- 33:34organic feeds. Ask them questions. Model their whole setup.
- 33:38Model their landing page. Funnel hack them. Instagram hack
- 33:41them. Literally just model them as close as you can. That's probably one
- 33:52Bloody marvelous. Thank you for calling to the Wealth Hotline. It's been awesome chatting with
- 34:02Bye-bye. There you go. Pretty
- 34:05tricky one, that one, because there's so much to, Building
- 34:10a business. But you can't sell a secret. So I
- 34:13think a lot of people don't realize that you've got to document what you're doing on
- 34:17social media. It's the biggest notice board in the world. And you can't
- 34:20sell a secret. You've got to be on there. You've got to be documenting, paid traffic, referral
- 34:23partners, bit by bit, each day, each day, each day. Yeah,
- 34:28what are the comments? Comments! Come on, come on the comments. Here
- 34:31we go. G'day, how you going? Get
- 34:35a bloke up here, man. We run a
- 34:38home dog room biz. Both of us work full-time. Cool revenues for today.
- 34:42Wow. Wow. That's so good. Revenue five to six K a week. Current
- 34:46expense is $300 a week. That is so good. Looking at a
- 34:49shop, $800 a week rent. How
- 34:52do we judge if this movie is financially viable and sustainable? That's a really good
- 34:56question. Get a bloke up
- 34:59here. Home, dog grooming, biz, both
- 35:03work full-time. So I'm assuming you're working full-time
- 35:06on the business. So you're making five
- 35:10to six grand a week on $300 a week. So my question is,
- 35:14why do you need a shop? And
- 35:17if the answer to that question is because we wanna separate our business from our
- 35:20home, we feel like we can charge more if we have a place, we can find
- 35:25efficiencies by having a workplace, et cetera. If
- 35:29that's the case, then you gotta understand, is
- 35:33the 800 a week, is the juice worth the squeeze? And does the 800 a
- 35:36week eliminate the 300 a week, or is it 800 plus 300, so it's
- 35:401100? Looking at the margins of the business, the business can easily, I
- 35:43don't understand the other costs, but it looks like it's only 300 bucks. So you're probably
- 35:47netting five grand a week. You can easily afford a
- 35:51shop for 800 a week, you can. But you've got to make sure what's the
- 35:54objective. Is it just so you can say you've got a place of residence, or
- 35:57is it actually going to create efficiencies that are worth more than 800 a
- 36:00week? So if you can earn more than 800 a week, you can either put
- 36:04your prices up, you can build efficiencies, you can leverage more,
- 36:07you can build better, like whatever it is, it's
- 36:10got to be worth more than 800 a week. Otherwise, stay
- 36:14where you are, right? So judge it
- 36:17like that. Would the juice be worth the squeeze? But from all
- 36:20accounts of what you give me here in the comments, you
- 36:25can, the business can handle it. Does that make sense? So there
- 36:28you go. And it's also tax deduction. So anyway, that's a cool question. You
- 36:31can't sell the secrets of teaming, create partnerships. This must be Alicia. This
- 36:35is my amazing wife. This is why you got to marry well. That's the best advice I
- 36:38can give you on money. Marry well. Think about it for them. She's on there. All
- 36:42right, that's it. Cool. That was a fun one. We got a little time left
- 36:45here. We got time for one more, huh? Two
- 36:49more, okay, let's go. What have we got? Next person. That
- 36:52was a fun one with Kirstie. Go, Kirstie, that's awesome. Okay, let's call Mark here.
- 36:57Let's go here, Mark. Cool,
- 37:00let's see if Mark's, oh, he might be in a meeting. He did
- 37:04say in the email, oh yeah, he's in a meeting. We can't call him yet. We'll maybe call him
- 37:07after. Let's try this one. This
- 37:17I've gotta see if this one will work. Put
- 37:23the country code in. Here we go. Let's see if this works. Joseph.
- 37:32Your call has been forwarded to voicemail. The person you're trying to
- 37:35reach is not available. At the tone, please record your
- 37:42Joseph, Lloyd, you're on the world hotline, my friend. Anyway,
- 37:47we've phoned you, you may have been held up. So just
- 37:50leaving you a voice message to say, hey, perhaps next month, if you're free, we can jump on again.
- 37:54But shoot me a text back when you get this and I'll talk to you soon, bye. Okay, let's
- 37:59have a look what else we got. And we can't call,
- 38:03so we've done Caroline and Kirstie. Can't call Joseph's
- 38:06away. Mark and
- 38:10then. I've
- 38:18got another one here somewhere. Where was it? I
- 38:31think that's all we have today. And the other one we just did in the comments. So
- 38:36we can't call Mark. We'll try and call Mark, shall we? You know I shouldn't, but I'm
- 38:39going to. We'll call Mark because he put it and he's just
- 38:43said, I'm in a meeting maybe. So let's see. He's
- 38:50gonna watch this back and be funny. Let's
- 38:56call him. We
- 38:59might catch him. May
- 39:07not catch him. I don't
- 39:13think he's gonna pick up. So that'll be it
- 39:16today for our Wealth Hotline. We've done three good questions there.
- 39:20The other two guys, they're incapacitated at this
- 39:23present time. So that's what happens if you do it at lunchtime. Everyone's at work, right?
- 39:28So anyway, look, here's what we do. With the new Wealth Hotline, this
- 39:31is how it works. Every month, I send out a
- 39:36little invitation to our Telegram channel. That's lloydstelegram.com. Also,
- 39:41if you follow me on Instagram, there's an Instagram broadcast channel there you can follow.
- 39:44I put it in there as well. And then potentially to specific people
- 39:47back on our database and in our Facebook group, which is Money Buys Happiness. So
- 39:51if you want to call in for a call about anything related to wealth, obviously
- 39:55you heard some business stuff there, some money stuff, investing stuff, whatever it is,
- 40:00you're welcome to call in. We just do this once a month for an hour a month,
- 40:03all right? And each call typically goes for 10 minutes. You're welcome to ask the question.
- 40:07So if you see that go out, you can actually call in
- 40:10and hive high value calls that can
- 40:13change the future for you. So I hope that makes sense. I hope you've
- 40:16enjoyed it. And thanks for leaving the comments. It's great to get some interaction there in the comments.
- 40:20If you've got any questions or other comments, pop them below. I'll come
- 40:23and reply to them. And I'll look forward to doing this again live next
