- 0:00Speaker 1: It's still.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Welcome everybody. Welcome to this week's edition this No Realda
- 0:20Speaker 2: Show EPISO number seven and seventy one for November twenty first,
- 0:24Speaker 2: twenty twenty four. Welcome to your aw full year preview
- 0:28Speaker 2: and Predictions edition of f RT.
- 0:32Speaker 1: You.
- 0:33Speaker 2: I am one half the show. I am Jeff Peck
- 0:36Speaker 2: joined every single week my coast one only doctor Trey Franklin,
- 0:40Speaker 2: Doctor Trey. I felt like this was the first time
- 0:41Speaker 2: I did a normal introduction again, my friend.
- 0:44Speaker 3: I know there was part of me that felt so
- 0:46Speaker 3: bad for the listeners because the last few weeks you've
- 0:48Speaker 3: kind of struggled on the welcome part. But yeah, no,
- 0:52Speaker 3: you sound great. I was you were talking off here.
- 0:54Speaker 3: I feel horrible. I feel completely under the weather. So
- 0:58Speaker 3: I blame myself for kind of semi mocking.
- 1:01Speaker 1: You to myself.
- 1:04Speaker 3: But you know, between you being sick and then having
- 1:07Speaker 3: you know, Luke throw up all over you right before
- 1:09Speaker 3: last week's show, you've had it rough. So I guess
- 1:12Speaker 3: this is my this is my karmic retribution coming back
- 1:15Speaker 3: on me for you know, just kind of like laughing
- 1:18Speaker 3: quietly to myself about your your struggles the last couple
- 1:21Speaker 3: of weeks.
- 1:21Speaker 2: It all comes back in different ways. My friend, I
- 1:24Speaker 2: actually like remember doing the intro of the last two
- 1:27Speaker 2: weeks and it's like does my voice have enough to
- 1:30Speaker 2: get there? And it would get there, but it's undlike shit.
- 1:33Speaker 2: So I apologize to everybody. We pushed through here seven
- 1:36Speaker 2: and seventy one straight weeks of SRTU and you know,
- 1:39Speaker 2: can't miss it. So here we are. We're an injured
- 1:42Speaker 2: bunch here on srt you each and every week, and
- 1:45Speaker 2: we are racking up the doctor's bills between Doctor Trey
- 1:48Speaker 2: and I just on sicknesses alone, all the other stuff, surgeries, whatever,
- 1:52Speaker 2: you that's a whole nother bucket for another, a whole
- 1:55Speaker 2: nother day. Welcome to this week's edition of sr T
- 1:59Speaker 2: It's it's not I said, Doctor Try and I are
- 2:01Speaker 2: here talking with one other that Packers and Niners. Our
- 2:04Speaker 2: teams are going into a big show down this weekend.
- 2:07Speaker 2: It is in November and not in January, where January
- 2:11Speaker 2: Doctor Tray's team typically kicks the ass of my team,
- 2:14Speaker 2: the Green Bay Packers. But here we are in November.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Dot Tray and I are are. We're on good terms
- 2:19Speaker 2: right now, right going into this. There's no beef here
- 2:21Speaker 2: there's no feud.
- 2:23Speaker 3: No, I mean, I think we're good because all in all,
- 2:25Speaker 3: the biggest thing about the season, like, look, there's a
- 2:28Speaker 3: competitive rivalry between Packers and Niners.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I don't think there's a hatred.
- 2:32Speaker 3: But the Cowboys suck this year, which I think makes
- 2:35Speaker 3: everybody happy.
- 2:36Speaker 2: See, that's always the one that for those that are
- 2:38Speaker 2: not an NFL fans, football fans, American football fans, and
- 2:40Speaker 2: my apologies, but for those that are, you're gonna get
- 2:42Speaker 2: what I'm saying is you could have a rival, semi
- 2:46Speaker 2: rival because I think Niners and Packers I liked this
- 2:50Speaker 2: semi rivalry.
- 2:52Speaker 1: It's like a B plus. It's like a B plus rivalry.
- 2:55Speaker 2: I think it's always on respect and it's as long
- 2:58Speaker 2: as I've remembered this rival read Doctor Trey. It's there
- 3:01Speaker 2: was a period of time where the Niners dominated, then
- 3:04Speaker 2: there was a stretch of time where the Packers dominated,
- 3:06Speaker 2: and right now we're in the stretch of time where
- 3:08Speaker 2: the Niners have dominated, like the last ten years. And
- 3:10Speaker 2: that's not typically how a rivalry goes. So I would
- 3:13Speaker 2: just say it's like one of those showdowns you get
- 3:15Speaker 2: excited about, Like even me outside looking in speaking about
- 3:18Speaker 2: your Niners. Whenever I see Cowboys versus Niners, I'm like,
- 3:22Speaker 2: that's exciting because that reminds me of the nostalgic football
- 3:25Speaker 2: when I was growing up. Packers Cowboys, Packers, Niners. I
- 3:28Speaker 2: feel like it's a triple threat. And as doctor Trey
- 3:31Speaker 2: pointed out to while there may be a healthy respect
- 3:34Speaker 2: and rivalry between the Green Bay Packers and the San
- 3:37Speaker 2: Francisco forty nine Ers, us the Niners fans and all
- 3:40Speaker 2: the other NFL fans can all agree upon we hate
- 3:43Speaker 2: those Cowboys.
- 3:44Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean there was a time when I was
- 3:48Speaker 3: growing up in Heisland, Arkansas, like everybody Arkansas's a Cowboys fan,
- 3:52Speaker 3: and I felt like I was on an island unto
- 3:53Speaker 3: myself because every and as also like during the late
- 3:57Speaker 3: nineties when they were fantastic and just dealing with that.
- 4:00Speaker 3: But then the last thirty years, basically since about ninety
- 4:04Speaker 3: five ninety six through now, it's been great. But yeah,
- 4:07Speaker 3: whenever I don't want to see him to get hurt,
- 4:09Speaker 3: but you know, Dak goes down, backups come in and
- 4:12Speaker 3: you're just like, yeah, they're really struggling.
- 4:16Speaker 1: This is the best time to kind of beat up
- 4:17Speaker 1: on Cowboys. Fans.
- 4:18Speaker 3: So I'm like, the only thing I can ever troll
- 4:20Speaker 3: Packers fans on right now is well, you're well, as
- 4:25Speaker 3: I go, well, your coach came from our coach's coaching tree,
- 4:28Speaker 3: so it was kay, yeah, it's like, well, yeah, you're
- 4:31Speaker 3: you're good because your coach came from our team. So
- 4:35Speaker 3: that's why you guys are so good right now. And
- 4:37Speaker 3: you know, the best quarterback you guys had the last
- 4:39Speaker 3: twenty years grew up as a Niners fan. So those
- 4:43Speaker 3: are the two things I can always kind of troll
- 4:45Speaker 3: Packers fans with for the most part, but other than that,
- 4:47Speaker 3: I actually respect. Like I've been to Green Bay, it
- 4:51Speaker 3: is not a comfortable place to be at times. So
- 4:54Speaker 3: the fact that people show up fifty sixty seventy thousand
- 4:58Speaker 3: fans to a Packers game in like negative twenty, Yeah,
- 5:03Speaker 3: you guys always have my respect.
- 5:05Speaker 2: For that counterpoints to doctor Trey. They are saying that
- 5:08Speaker 2: our best quarterback the last twenty years grew up a
- 5:10Speaker 2: Niners fan. I do want to mention that the Niners
- 5:13Speaker 2: did pass on that same quarterback for Alex Smith.
- 5:16Speaker 3: Yes, I recall it, but that was also not our fault.
- 5:19Speaker 3: That was the Jeff Tedford effector all the cal quarterbacks
- 5:22Speaker 3: coming into the league sucked.
- 5:25Speaker 1: So we're like, well, we'll take a chance on a
- 5:26Speaker 1: guy from.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Utah because that's how bad Kyle Boehler was in the
- 5:30Speaker 3: previous couple drafts.
- 5:32Speaker 2: And despite the Niners playing in more Super Bowls than
- 5:34Speaker 2: the Kareema Packers in the last twenty five thirty years,
- 5:37Speaker 2: Green Bay has won more.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Doctor Trey, Yes, yes, and that's only well, well, do
- 5:41Speaker 3: we count the do you guys count the AFL championships
- 5:44Speaker 3: and stuff?
- 5:45Speaker 1: Well, they do.
- 5:46Speaker 2: They are references thirteen time world champions in the Super
- 5:50Speaker 2: Bowl era. Yeah, I mean they're five time champions, but
- 5:54Speaker 2: we have five also, champions Championships are championships, right, yeah.
- 6:00Speaker 3: So but then you guys have been around for longer,
- 6:02Speaker 3: because up until about the mid sixties, San Francisco is
- 6:06Speaker 3: not a real place.
- 6:07Speaker 2: No, no, it wasn't. We just discovered in the sixties.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Speaking of wrestling talk, let's let's tie this all in.
- 6:14Speaker 2: So we're talking about the Dallas Cowboys who play in
- 6:16Speaker 2: at and T Stadium, which is also the home of
- 6:18Speaker 2: WrestleMania thirty eight. I saw a funny statistic this past weekend.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Doctor Trey Jake Paul, the brother of Logan Paul, former
- 6:26Speaker 2: w United States Champion who took on WWE Hall of
- 6:29Speaker 2: Famer Mike Tyson in a boxing match, now has more
- 6:35Speaker 2: wins in AT and T Stadium this year than the
- 6:37Speaker 2: Dallas Cowboys.
- 6:39Speaker 1: So does the Texas A and M.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Maggie's for there you go, Gigam.
- 6:42Speaker 3: I learned that one from the radio show you and
- 6:46Speaker 3: I were talking about Haffe or the Colon or the
- 6:48Speaker 3: Macroy and Kublic show. That was one of the fancy
- 6:50Speaker 3: stats they threw out because Texas A and M in
- 6:53Speaker 3: Texas is a big game coming up, I think next Saturday.
- 6:58Speaker 3: But yeah, they're like, yeah, Texas AM actually has more
- 7:00Speaker 3: wins in AT and T Stadium than the Cowboys do
- 7:02Speaker 3: this year.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Did you watch the Fight Doctor try to have Netflix? Yes?
- 7:05Speaker 1: I did so.
- 7:06Speaker 3: By the way, how cool is it that in one
- 7:08Speaker 3: year we've had two Hall of Famers be in two big,
- 7:13Speaker 3: big events non restling related. You have one Hall of
- 7:16Speaker 3: Famer running for president and one Hall of Famer fighting
- 7:19Speaker 3: Jake Paul.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Crazy Yeah, one Hall of Famer who is a two
- 7:23Speaker 2: time winner of an election. Now and his countinate is
- 7:27Speaker 2: going to be filled with the now separated wife of
- 7:30Speaker 2: the former founder, CEO and chairman of the board of
- 7:33Speaker 2: World rest Entertainment One, Linda McMahon remembered to be in
- 7:37Speaker 2: the Department of Education. But you know how this goes.
- 7:39Speaker 2: We don't talk politics nor religion here at this dinner table,
- 7:43Speaker 2: that is SRTU.
- 7:46Speaker 3: I do have one funny thing about that. So as
- 7:48Speaker 3: I got home from work today, they were mentioning Linda
- 7:52Speaker 3: McMahon being probably going to be nominated by Trump to
- 7:54Speaker 3: head that department. The people on the news mispronounced her
- 7:58Speaker 3: last name man macmahone. Never I've never heard it called that,
- 8:06Speaker 3: but they referenced her as Linda mcmahone three times and
- 8:10Speaker 3: then mentioned her husband, Vince. And it's all because of
- 8:14Speaker 3: the lawsuit and things like that.
- 8:16Speaker 1: But I was I'm.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Sitting here like egregiously offended that the news mispronounced McMahon
- 8:23Speaker 3: and called it macmahone.
- 8:25Speaker 1: I was like, you're not even close. You quit the
- 8:29Speaker 1: news at this point.
- 8:30Speaker 2: I thought you were going to say they pronounced it
- 8:31Speaker 2: like Gerald Briscoe did back in the days of US
- 8:34Speaker 2: War in the late nineties.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Mister MacMahon, we're not that southern on the news. But yeah,
- 8:40Speaker 3: it's just hearing macmahone. I was like, I I because
- 8:44Speaker 3: I wasn't even kind of it was like the news
- 8:46Speaker 3: was on, the sound was on, but I wasn't really
- 8:48Speaker 3: watching it. And then I heard Linda mcmahone. I'm like, macmahone,
- 8:52Speaker 3: what the had to turn in? There she was, and
- 8:54Speaker 3: I'm like, please, don't do that again. Please somebody correct her,
- 8:58Speaker 3: some producer jump in and get in the earbut and
- 9:01Speaker 3: say no, it's McMahon, it's bicmahon And I'm like, like, seriously,
- 9:05Speaker 3: there's Jim McMahon too.
- 9:06Speaker 1: There's other McMahon's in the world.
- 9:08Speaker 3: This cannot be a foreig and last name that you
- 9:11Speaker 3: have never excuse me, ever seen before. And it's just
- 9:15Speaker 3: befuddling you to pronounce it. I've never heard it pronounced
- 9:19Speaker 3: that way. It just it kind of made me mad,
- 9:22Speaker 3: and I had to turn up the news and watch Netflix.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Well, Doctor Trey, you and I are old now, so
- 9:25Speaker 2: I think we need to do what every old person does.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Can you go on their Facebook page and leave like
- 9:29Speaker 2: a nasty comment.
- 9:31Speaker 1: I actually thought about that.
- 9:33Speaker 3: I thought about, like, because I know some people that
- 9:35Speaker 3: work at the station, be like, guys, seriously, do we
- 9:38Speaker 3: need to have an annunciation class and you guys like
- 9:41Speaker 3: to prepare the anchors, like, Hey, we're gonna do a
- 9:44Speaker 3: story in this person. This is how you pronounce their
- 9:46Speaker 3: name before you go on air.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Well, you gotta love it. I mean it's so simple, right,
- 9:50Speaker 2: I mean you're not. This isn't like crazy.
- 9:53Speaker 3: So no, it's not like you're trying to pronounce vivek
- 9:56Speaker 3: Ramashwami or whatever that guy's name is. This is a McMahon.
- 9:59Speaker 3: They've been around for quite a while. I'm sure you've
- 10:03Speaker 3: heard of wrestling at some point in your life and
- 10:06Speaker 3: you've heard somebody say the name Vince McMahon. How like
- 10:10Speaker 3: it was just like when somebody says something that dumb.
- 10:12Speaker 3: I just I can't listen to anything else I say,
- 10:14Speaker 3: because I'm like, you've lost all credibility by mispronouncing a
- 10:18Speaker 3: simple last name.
- 10:19Speaker 2: So, speaking on Netflix, Fight there, Doctor Trace. So there
- 10:22Speaker 2: was some news and notes there takeaways, at least for
- 10:25Speaker 2: WWE's launch on January the sixth, for Raw one. They
- 10:28Speaker 2: released a new logo for Raw which I think looks terrible.
- 10:32Speaker 2: Looks like it's a Monday night baw baw. And then
- 10:36Speaker 2: obviously were you one of the I think like five
- 10:39Speaker 2: hundred thousand people out of sixty million, which is absurd
- 10:43Speaker 2: that had issues with connections of watching the fight live.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Yeah, from like early on, you can kind of.
- 10:50Speaker 3: Tell when people tuned in, because it felt like early
- 10:53Speaker 3: on I didn't have any issues. I got to about
- 10:56Speaker 3: the second middle of the second fight, and it started
- 10:58Speaker 3: glitching in.
- 11:00Speaker 1: And I live in the middle of nowhere, I live
- 11:03Speaker 1: in the country.
- 11:04Speaker 3: I thought it was my internet connection, and then I
- 11:05Speaker 3: checked my Facebook and I see people all over my
- 11:08Speaker 3: Facebook feed talking about the you know, buffering and freezing out.
- 11:12Speaker 3: I had to constantly back out and go back in
- 11:15Speaker 3: to get to the live feeds. So, yeah, if it
- 11:17Speaker 3: was only five hundred thousand, I'm actually surprised the number.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Is that low.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Yeah, it was. I felt like it was more from
- 11:24Speaker 2: what you saw on social media, but I think that's
- 11:25Speaker 2: what they're reporting. So according to reports, we is obviously
- 11:29Speaker 2: concerned about that. I don't think sixty million people will
- 11:32Speaker 2: be watching the debut of Monday Night Roll, but I
- 11:35Speaker 2: think it could be potentially the biggest audience of all
- 11:37Speaker 2: time if there's a lot of hype in this show.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Doctor Troy.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, if you got sixty million for a
- 11:43Speaker 3: Tyson fight, which is a nostalgia. I mean, if you say, hey,
- 11:45Speaker 3: we're going to have if you throw other Stone called
- 11:47Speaker 3: Steve Austin appearance for the first time Monday Row, you're
- 11:50Speaker 3: going to draw ten to fifteen at least.
- 11:51Speaker 1: I think.
- 11:52Speaker 3: I really think there's I was amazed that sixty million
- 11:55Speaker 3: people had Netflix because that's like one out of every
- 11:57Speaker 3: six people have it, you know, So I'm like, if
- 12:01Speaker 3: you can draw ten million, you know, that's a huge,
- 12:04Speaker 3: huge get for a wrestling that's as we haven't seen
- 12:08Speaker 3: since you know, the nineties, Like that would be a
- 12:10Speaker 3: huge number. I think the debut episode will be way
- 12:13Speaker 3: more than their the number that they're saying that they
- 12:16Speaker 3: get now, like what two to two point five on
- 12:19Speaker 3: a good raw. I think I think you'll probably triple
- 12:22Speaker 3: that if promoted and you know, hyped the way it
- 12:26Speaker 3: should be.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I expect this to be the biggest Monday Night
- 12:29Speaker 2: raw of all time. And because it's just the amount
- 12:31Speaker 2: of money that Netflix has thrown out their five billion
- 12:33Speaker 2: dollars over ten years, Like, I don't think it's out
- 12:36Speaker 2: of the roma possibility. You said, like a stone Cold
- 12:38Speaker 2: see Boston appearance, I don't think it's out of the
- 12:41Speaker 2: roma possibility that the Rock is there and the Rock
- 12:44Speaker 2: wrestles on this car. Doctor Trey.
- 12:46Speaker 3: Yeah, I like for me, if I'm WWE for the debut,
- 12:49Speaker 3: I'm pulling out I'm bringing up everybody that is still around.
- 12:54Speaker 3: I'll bring in Hogan. I will find a way to
- 12:56Speaker 3: get Flair out of his AAW contract. I'll somehow have
- 12:59Speaker 3: Rock and Austin have an interaction in the ring. You know,
- 13:03Speaker 3: I will pull out every bell in a whistle I
- 13:06Speaker 3: possibly can. Because it is a transitioning not only of networks,
- 13:10Speaker 3: but of platforms as well, So you got to make
- 13:12Speaker 3: sure everybody knows where you're going. It's not like when
- 13:16Speaker 3: they left USA it went to Spike and people had
- 13:19Speaker 3: to go find them. You know, this is an entire
- 13:22Speaker 3: platform shift and a new way of a new business
- 13:26Speaker 3: model as well for them. So you got to make
- 13:28Speaker 3: sure that the audience easily confined you. And right now
- 13:32Speaker 3: you better make sure Netflix has all their stuff tighten
- 13:34Speaker 3: up so you don't go through what they went through
- 13:36Speaker 3: with the Tyson Paul flight.
- 13:37Speaker 2: That is less than eight weeks away, so a lots
- 13:40Speaker 2: to discuss in regards to the first edition, of Monday
- 13:44Speaker 2: Night Raw on Netflix on January sixth. As we get
- 13:47Speaker 2: closer to they announce the Into It Home in Los Angeles, California,
- 13:51Speaker 2: the new Arena where the Los Angeles Clippers play that
- 13:55Speaker 2: is like this amazing arena right now. If you watch
- 13:58Speaker 2: any of the NBA stuff, they this entire section called
- 14:01Speaker 2: the Wall, which is just insane to see on television.
- 14:05Speaker 2: It's really really cool. Travis Scott, who's a rapper, Doctor Trey,
- 14:10Speaker 2: and I'm gonna guess Doctor Tray as listen to his music.
- 14:12Speaker 2: I've heard some of it that doesn't really do it
- 14:14Speaker 2: for me, but you know, John Cena is being promoted
- 14:17Speaker 2: for the show Roman reigns Cody Rhodes. I expect it
- 14:20Speaker 2: to be the biggest Raw of all time, and I'm
- 14:22Speaker 2: sure we're going to be talking about that a lot
- 14:23Speaker 2: here as we get in the month of December and
- 14:26Speaker 2: that card starts to take shape, and some more announcements
- 14:28Speaker 2: come out for that first show of twenty twenty five
- 14:32Speaker 2: and the first on the Netflix era. But the one
- 14:34Speaker 2: thing I wanted to talk about here to kick off
- 14:36Speaker 2: the show this week, Doctor Trey formally kick off the
- 14:39Speaker 2: show was twenty twenty four one of the big themes
- 14:41Speaker 2: was going to be the swath of free agents that
- 14:44Speaker 2: were going to be available to the market for All
- 14:46Speaker 2: Eat Wrestling. We figure there's gonna be a lot of
- 14:49Speaker 2: free agency wars as we went into this year, and
- 14:53Speaker 2: those certainly existed, but probably not to the degree that
- 14:56Speaker 2: we were hoping now that we look back at it.
- 14:58Speaker 2: We thought that there was gonna be the bidding war
- 14:59Speaker 2: of twenty twenty four between AWN and WWE for the
- 15:04Speaker 2: rights of MGF that never really came to fruition. We
- 15:08Speaker 2: knew will Ospur is gonna hit the market, and by
- 15:10Speaker 2: this time a year ago, at the end of twenty
- 15:12Speaker 2: twenty three, made his inclinations known that he was going
- 15:15Speaker 2: to go to All Elite Wrestling. At the Full Gear
- 15:17Speaker 2: pay per view, we announced that in twenty twenty four,
- 15:20Speaker 2: there were some glimmer of hopes that maybe Okada does
- 15:23Speaker 2: make it interesting he goes to WWE, or at least
- 15:27Speaker 2: listens to w he ends up in AW. Mercedes Bone
- 15:30Speaker 2: was rumored to potentially be returning to WWW in late
- 15:33Speaker 2: twenty twenty three. That didn't work out, and those rumors
- 15:36Speaker 2: quickly switched to her eventually signing with AW and it
- 15:40Speaker 2: took her three months to debut, and then I guess
- 15:42Speaker 2: the real last one for AW was the signing of
- 15:45Speaker 2: Bobby Lashley MVP and Shelton Benjamin as the Hurt Syndicate,
- 15:49Speaker 2: the former Hurt business in all Elite Wrestling. On the
- 15:52Speaker 2: WA side of things, you have the MotorCity Machine Guns,
- 15:55Speaker 2: the current w Tag Team champions. They signed with the company,
- 15:57Speaker 2: and I think all of us going into this year
- 15:59Speaker 2: figured that if mcmg was available, they were gonna be
- 16:02Speaker 2: going AW. They had over wrestled Aware I think once
- 16:05Speaker 2: or twice, and they had a great relationship with the Buck,
- 16:07Speaker 2: so figured they would go there. They flipped the script
- 16:10Speaker 2: and ended up in WA. W signed Stephanie Vakor, who's
- 16:13Speaker 2: currently performing in an NXT, shortly after she performed at
- 16:16Speaker 2: the AW New Japan Pro Wrestling for Bidden Door twenty
- 16:19Speaker 2: twenty four pay per view, taking a loss from Mercedes
- 16:22Speaker 2: Bone in that match. Then Julia, who has always been
- 16:26Speaker 2: rumored to be going over to w W, she appears
- 16:28Speaker 2: in NXT. Zaria, who is not a real big name
- 16:33Speaker 2: per se. I did not know her work heading into
- 16:35Speaker 2: this year, but she's been impressive so far in her
- 16:38Speaker 2: short time in NXT. And she was known as I
- 16:41Speaker 2: Believe Delta in Australia. The last one on the W
- 16:45Speaker 2: side of things was a big name in the MLW world.
- 16:49Speaker 2: He was a MLW champion for over eight hundred days
- 16:52Speaker 2: and that was Jacob Foto signed with the company. Now
- 16:55Speaker 2: he's performing with a new bloodline and is one of
- 16:58Speaker 2: the big up in coming risers that I could see
- 17:02Speaker 2: in two three years time, maybe even shorter as being
- 17:04Speaker 2: one of the top stars in the company. WWE certainly
- 17:07Speaker 2: believes in him, likes this look, likes his feel, and
- 17:09Speaker 2: has big things planned for Jacob fat two down the line.
- 17:12Speaker 2: So when you look back at everything there, doctor Trey,
- 17:15Speaker 2: and you recap the free agents of twenty twenty four,
- 17:18Speaker 2: aw Will Osprey, Becazisco Cotta, Mercedes Moone and that hurts
- 17:21Speaker 2: syndicate w W WI, Motor City, machine Gun, stephie Vakor,
- 17:25Speaker 2: Julia Zari and Jacob Fattwo And maybe there's some free
- 17:28Speaker 2: agents I'm missing here. Please feel free to jump in
- 17:30Speaker 2: if I am missing Anny. But with that said, which
- 17:33Speaker 2: group of free agents had more of an impact for
- 17:36Speaker 2: the company that they joined this past year?
- 17:39Speaker 3: And that's that's a really I'm doing the math in
- 17:42Speaker 3: my head, I'm like, that's actually kind of a tricky question,
- 17:46Speaker 3: Like I would say, like just overall impact on their programs,
- 17:49Speaker 3: I'd probably give the edge to AW.
- 17:52Speaker 1: I think Ospray's been a fantastic signing.
- 17:55Speaker 2: Uh.
- 17:55Speaker 1: He's made me more and more of a fan of
- 17:57Speaker 1: his the Mora watch him.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Uh.
- 18:00Speaker 3: The Okada signing to me has fallen kind of flat
- 18:05Speaker 3: over the last few months. The Mode signing was great
- 18:09Speaker 3: for AW as far as viewership and getting people's attention,
- 18:12Speaker 3: but once again I kind of feel like it's plateaued
- 18:15Speaker 3: a little bit. The Heart Syndicate is a great signing.
- 18:18Speaker 3: I think there's gonna be a huge They're gonna be
- 18:20Speaker 3: huge business, but it's still early in the signing to
- 18:24Speaker 3: kind of get a gauge on it. WWE the Women, Julia,
- 18:30Speaker 3: Stefanie vacor Tzaria. They're impactful signings for down the road,
- 18:36Speaker 3: but being NXT signings, they're not really a huge boom
- 18:41Speaker 3: to overall business. I think the Most City Machine Guns
- 18:45Speaker 3: is a solid signing, but I don't think it really
- 18:48Speaker 3: moves the needle ton. I think Jacob Fatoo signing, I guess,
- 18:52Speaker 3: was another one, kind of like the Girls in the
- 18:54Speaker 3: sense of it's a really solid signing. He's made an impact,
- 18:57Speaker 3: but I think we'll feel his impact more here in
- 19:00Speaker 3: a couple years. Because I'm with you, I think he's
- 19:02Speaker 3: a future, main event caliber talent. So I think just
- 19:06Speaker 3: an overall to each respective company's business, I give the
- 19:10Speaker 3: edge to aaw Yeah.
- 19:12Speaker 2: So the answer to my question impact wise aw WWA,
- 19:17Speaker 2: I think the biggest impact is aw right. I think Ospray, Ocada,
- 19:22Speaker 2: Monet Hertzyndicate have had the most impact. It gets interesting
- 19:27Speaker 2: when you go, all right, which company has done a
- 19:29Speaker 2: better job with these free agents though? And I think
- 19:32Speaker 2: you can make a strong case that's w A. Right now,
- 19:35Speaker 2: Doctor tre MotorCity machine Guns are doing really well, Vakor
- 19:39Speaker 2: Juliet Zaria doing very well in NXC. Jacob Fatu is
- 19:42Speaker 2: on the rise, like they're doing more to do character
- 19:45Speaker 2: development and build them up for the future. While aew
- 19:48Speaker 2: like I've loved Ospray, I've loved Osprey twenty twenty four,
- 19:53Speaker 2: I would say the final quarter of twenty twenty four
- 19:55Speaker 2: he has fallen off a little bit. The stuff with
- 19:58Speaker 2: Kyle Fletcher that feud is inter I've seen makes sense.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Should be a good match on Saturday. But he's fallen
- 20:03Speaker 2: off a little bit, and that has nothing to do
- 20:05Speaker 2: with its in ring ability, but his character development and
- 20:08Speaker 2: time on television Okata. You pointed it out like I
- 20:12Speaker 2: don't even I don't know if his contract has very
- 20:14Speaker 2: unlimited dates, but I feel like the American audience has
- 20:18Speaker 2: not had a great taste of Okada, and maybe that
- 20:20Speaker 2: changes for the final five to six weeks of the
- 20:22Speaker 2: year with the Continental Classic returning on AW television. Mercedes
- 20:26Speaker 2: Monet sort of great out of the gate. I think
- 20:29Speaker 2: she has completely fallen off a cliff and I know
- 20:31Speaker 2: you are the Mercedes Monet hater and I'm the defender.
- 20:34Speaker 2: I am not enjoying her character right now. The stuff
- 20:37Speaker 2: with Camill as the brick house as the bodyguard, it
- 20:40Speaker 2: has gotten to the point where it makes no sense
- 20:42Speaker 2: at all. Why is Camill being booked as like a
- 20:44Speaker 2: comedy act? Makes no sense to me at all. Does
- 20:47Speaker 2: her syndicate They've done good but it's been a very
- 20:50Speaker 2: short time. One of my issues that I have with
- 20:53Speaker 2: this past Wednesday's edition Dynamite, Why are we having Bobby
- 20:56Speaker 2: Lashley's first match in AW on Dynamite and with little
- 21:00Speaker 2: to no fanfare no promotion behind it whatsoever. Bobby Lashley's
- 21:04Speaker 2: going to make his AW debut, why are you not
- 21:06Speaker 2: saving it for the pay per view on Saturday against
- 21:09Speaker 2: Worth Strickland unless he's potentially taken an owl? So impact. Yes,
- 21:13Speaker 2: aw's free agents has had more of an impact. Who
- 21:16Speaker 2: has done the best job with their free agents though
- 21:18Speaker 2: that they've entered this year? I think it's WW.
- 21:21Speaker 3: We doubt to try, Yeah, but we're not you and
- 21:25Speaker 3: I are not surprised by that because that's kind of
- 21:29Speaker 3: been the mo for these two companies of the last
- 21:31Speaker 3: you know, at least the last two years. Like WW
- 21:34Speaker 3: does a better job of developing characters for their television product.
- 21:39Speaker 3: AW maybe showcases their talent in ring better, but the
- 21:44Speaker 3: character developments not there. Like we have Okada but the
- 21:47Speaker 3: Bucks left, So is Ocada still is still the elite?
- 21:51Speaker 1: Is Ocada still a heel?
- 21:52Speaker 3: Are we going to see a different Okada with the
- 21:55Speaker 3: Continental Classic?
- 21:56Speaker 2: Like?
- 21:56Speaker 1: What are we going to do?
- 21:57Speaker 3: Osprey has been enjoyable. I've actually learned more about Osprey
- 22:00Speaker 3: during his time. But you know the Mercedes Monette thing
- 22:03Speaker 3: that I mean to me, you know I mentioned Kyle Boller.
- 22:08Speaker 3: I mean this is like the JaMarcus Russell drafting number
- 22:11Speaker 3: one by the Raiders.
- 22:12Speaker 1: I mean to me, it's a complete.
- 22:13Speaker 3: Bust now, like nothing she does looks good and nothing
- 22:18Speaker 3: in her problem was look good. It looks like a complete,
- 22:20Speaker 3: you know, albatross of a contract the her syndicate early on.
- 22:25Speaker 1: So far, I have enjoyed their build.
- 22:27Speaker 3: They've this may be the best booked Shelton Benjamin I've
- 22:31Speaker 3: ever seen, Like he looks like a legit badass in
- 22:33Speaker 3: these matches, and the last stuff is good, and then
- 22:36Speaker 3: there's a little bit entry like who else is going
- 22:38Speaker 3: to join? But you also have Swerve come out and
- 22:40Speaker 3: kind of clean house. Well, you still got to make
- 22:43Speaker 3: your heels look like dominate heel faction to create those
- 22:47Speaker 3: obstacles for baby Face to overcome. So but ww, I
- 22:51Speaker 3: didn't know who Zaria was. I didn't really know who
- 22:53Speaker 3: Julia was. I didn't really know who Stephanie Vakor was
- 22:55Speaker 3: when they signed I'm interested. I knew a little bit
- 22:57Speaker 3: about Jacob Fatoo, and they've done a great job with
- 23:00Speaker 3: him and the machine guns.
- 23:02Speaker 1: God bless him.
- 23:03Speaker 3: One of the greatest tag teams of modern generation, but
- 23:08Speaker 3: maybe not the best personalities. They've actually tried to give
- 23:12Speaker 3: them a personality and then create intrigue around them with
- 23:16Speaker 3: talent that can help flush out their characters. Having Champa
- 23:20Speaker 3: and Gargato, having the Street profits, getting involved with the
- 23:23Speaker 3: Bloodline to win the titles. Those are all characters people
- 23:26Speaker 3: care about, so it makes them care about what the
- 23:28Speaker 3: machine Guns are doing. And that's so W's just doing
- 23:30Speaker 3: a better job of developing those characters. And I would
- 23:34Speaker 3: say almost maybe with these signings long term, we might
- 23:37Speaker 3: look back in five years and say this class was
- 23:39Speaker 3: better for WWE than what aw's classes.
- 23:42Speaker 2: And the last thing I'll talk about hearing these free
- 23:44Speaker 2: aging classes for twenty twenty four Doctor Trey, because I
- 23:46Speaker 2: think they are notable. I think there's something that makes
- 23:48Speaker 2: an impact on these two brands for years to come,
- 23:51Speaker 2: the next five to ten years. Is it's very interesting
- 23:54Speaker 2: because Ospriocatta mone were like the big names on the
- 23:57Speaker 2: market this year. They all went to AW, which we
- 23:59Speaker 2: all suspected that they would, and again we knew a
- 24:02Speaker 2: year from now, a year ago that Austray was going there.
- 24:05Speaker 2: What's funny is the year has gone on. MotorCity machine
- 24:08Speaker 2: Guns would have figured they would have gone to AW.
- 24:10Speaker 2: They go to WA Stephanie Vakor you figured she'd go
- 24:13Speaker 2: to AW, she goes to WA. Juliazaria Jacobatu always felt
- 24:18Speaker 2: like they were W bound, but you started to see
- 24:20Speaker 2: a shift in the mid to late part of twenty
- 24:23Speaker 2: twenty four where the free agents were considering W more
- 24:28Speaker 2: than AW. The AW. AW was like the place for
- 24:31Speaker 2: free agents to go because w was a little bit
- 24:34Speaker 2: of a cesspool. There was no maybe not as good
- 24:38Speaker 2: of an environment as W as AW was. And it's
- 24:41Speaker 2: completely one eighty. Both companies have completely won eight and
- 24:45Speaker 2: I found that to be very telling doctor Trade that
- 24:47Speaker 2: you're seeing more free agents considered WE as a likely
- 24:51Speaker 2: landing spot than AW, because I feel like a lot
- 24:54Speaker 2: of people that were coming from TNA, coming from the
- 24:56Speaker 2: independent scene, coming from Japan, were gonna just they were
- 25:00Speaker 2: basically just considering AW and that was it. The only
- 25:03Speaker 2: difference here is obviously the hurt syindecon joining WAW later
- 25:06Speaker 2: this year, and that's because we let their contracts run
- 25:10Speaker 2: out or they were let go like Sheldon Bejamin. So
- 25:13Speaker 2: I just felt like that was very talent this year,
- 25:15Speaker 2: and I think it's something that it's a sign of
- 25:16Speaker 2: the time, because AAW is not an enjoyable watch. W
- 25:22Speaker 2: is an enjoyable watch, and now you're starting to see
- 25:25Speaker 2: that play out with free agents on their likely landing
- 25:27Speaker 2: spots as the year has gone on as well.
- 25:30Speaker 1: Oh yeah, by the way, you forgot a signing for
- 25:32Speaker 1: w the Gorillas of Destiny.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's a big one. That was another one
- 25:35Speaker 2: you would have figured would have gone to AW, right.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I mean technically speaking, I mean they are
- 25:41Speaker 3: somewhat related to the bloodline. But yeah, like if with
- 25:45Speaker 3: their ties to New Japan, you figured they would tie
- 25:48Speaker 3: in with the AW stuff.
- 25:49Speaker 2: So well you figure with the Bucks working and Kenny
- 25:52Speaker 2: are working with the Bullet Club, right, Yeah.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Well, I mean the Bullet Club is basically split between
- 25:57Speaker 3: the two shows because you still have the finn aj
- 26:00Speaker 3: Good Brothers tie in in WWE, and then you have
- 26:03Speaker 3: the AAW Kenny Bucks Ja those guys, So the Bullet
- 26:09Speaker 3: Club is basically split in half, half on one show,
- 26:12Speaker 3: half on the other.
- 26:12Speaker 2: They basically have the mid to early twenty tens version
- 26:15Speaker 2: of the Bullet Club in w and then the mid
- 26:18Speaker 2: to late twenty tens version of the Bullet Club in AAW.
- 26:22Speaker 3: But the Good have been around so long they've been
- 26:24Speaker 3: parts of both branches.
- 26:26Speaker 2: Yes, and Cody was part of the later one and
- 26:28Speaker 2: he's in w A so, But.
- 26:30Speaker 3: As far as you know, the change in philosophy, I
- 26:35Speaker 3: think is the telling part, because you and I have
- 26:37Speaker 3: been talking about ever since Vince left, like w's kind
- 26:39Speaker 3: of and since the merger especially, like we've changed the
- 26:42Speaker 3: business model.
- 26:43Speaker 1: The guys are people.
- 26:44Speaker 3: The workers are getting more time off, they're getting more freedom.
- 26:48Speaker 3: We're seeing aj Go wrestle and Noah, you know Shin's
- 26:51Speaker 3: k wrestling in Japan, like we're seeing these guys. Lexus
- 26:54Speaker 3: King actually had an independent booking in Georgia recently as well,
- 26:57Speaker 3: which is something you'd never see all those guys do
- 27:01Speaker 3: under the Vince regime.
- 27:02Speaker 1: Like you, we're seeing those w talents go in other places.
- 27:06Speaker 3: And then the TNA crossover, which I think, although maybe
- 27:09Speaker 3: ratings wise isn't as good as the Kenny crossover, the
- 27:13Speaker 3: AW crossover, But as far as building talent and highlighting talent,
- 27:20Speaker 3: I mean the Joe Henry stuff, the stuff with the Rascals,
- 27:22Speaker 3: the Jordan Gray stuff has been good for TNA to
- 27:25Speaker 3: get them exposure on NXT television and it allows NXT
- 27:29Speaker 3: talents another place to go work outside of that bubble
- 27:33Speaker 3: to get that kind of experience. So it's just been
- 27:35Speaker 3: a shift in philosophy I think has made it more
- 27:37Speaker 3: welcoming for those independent talents to come in and go, Hey,
- 27:41Speaker 3: I can come in. I can still kind of do
- 27:44Speaker 3: my thing, but just under the format of WW instead
- 27:48Speaker 3: of coming in and having to triple my work dates
- 27:51Speaker 3: and do whatever. Vince says, there's a lot more flexibility
- 27:55Speaker 3: and freedom in this new WWE as opposed to what
- 27:58Speaker 3: it was two three years.
- 28:00Speaker 2: And I would say that WE is doing the things
- 28:03Speaker 2: that made AW so appealing and they're adding it to
- 28:06Speaker 2: their business model now, less house shows, more time at home,
- 28:12Speaker 2: more flexibility to do outside projects. The stuff that they
- 28:15Speaker 2: were getting bashed for and why people were going to AW,
- 28:18Speaker 2: they're now doing it in this new business model, and
- 28:20Speaker 2: it's making it more of an attractive place for wrestlers
- 28:23Speaker 2: to go to because the business had to evolve. I mean,
- 28:29Speaker 2: Vince wasn't the only game in town anymore, and he
- 28:32Speaker 2: didn't seem to know that when he was running the show,
- 28:34Speaker 2: where it was like, well, if you don't want to
- 28:35Speaker 2: work here, then screw you, and a lot of people
- 28:37Speaker 2: didn't want to work there, anymore, and they went to AW,
- 28:40Speaker 2: and that's when AW was most successful. It's just it's
- 28:43Speaker 2: very and this could be set for another day, and
- 28:45Speaker 2: we got a lot of shows to wrap up the
- 28:47Speaker 2: year that maybe this has talked about, but really the
- 28:50Speaker 2: biggest turning point in wrestling for Bothe and AW was
- 28:54Speaker 2: Vince retiring and leaving and the book being handed over
- 28:58Speaker 2: to Triple H. Because when you saw WWE get better,
- 29:01Speaker 2: and that's where you saw AW get worse, and W
- 29:05Speaker 2: started to pull away and AW started to fall down
- 29:08Speaker 2: the ladder. The erosion of good faith that wrestling fans
- 29:14Speaker 2: in AW is eroding. I mean, look at the viewership
- 29:16Speaker 2: each week for Dynamite Rampage and Collision. Rampage and Collision
- 29:20Speaker 2: viewership is almost embarrassing at this point. I mean it's
- 29:24Speaker 2: in levels that even the worst WE shit didn't even touch.
- 29:29Speaker 2: I mean, Dynamite is competing below where NXT was right now,
- 29:34Speaker 2: and TBS and TNT are supposed to be in equal
- 29:38Speaker 2: homes as to the USA Network or parts of it.
- 29:42Speaker 2: You know, it's just crazy to see. So the free
- 29:45Speaker 2: agentcy of twenty twenty four biggest impact immediate definitely on
- 29:50Speaker 2: the AW side. Best character development w WE most potential
- 29:54Speaker 2: for long term, it's got to be W right now
- 29:57Speaker 2: because fakor Julia Zaria too. These are people that could
- 30:01Speaker 2: all be top stars in five years. I'd like to
- 30:04Speaker 2: throw the owner City Machine Guns in that list, But
- 30:06Speaker 2: I'm still very optimistic when it comes to the tag
- 30:08Speaker 2: TM division in WEE Doctor Trey.
- 30:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean really on the AW side, when you
- 30:13Speaker 3: look at the signings, it's like, is Okada going to
- 30:15Speaker 3: be any better than he is right now in five
- 30:17Speaker 3: years now? I mean probably not mercedesmen A, Probably not
- 30:22Speaker 3: Bobby Lashley Sheldon, those guys that are in their mid forties.
- 30:24Speaker 3: Are they gonna be any better in five years than
- 30:26Speaker 3: they're at right now? Probably not Ospray's these. If Ospray
- 30:29Speaker 3: becomes the face of AW and starts generating by rates
- 30:34Speaker 3: and generating ratings increases, then that that line becomes a
- 30:39Speaker 3: little more blurred as to which class is better, because
- 30:42Speaker 3: you can have one person offsets five people.
- 30:45Speaker 1: In that situation.
- 30:46Speaker 3: If he becomes the hottest star in the business at
- 30:48Speaker 3: BOOM is kind of like you know, Stone Cold versus
- 30:50Speaker 3: the nWo, and if he has honest things, stone Cold
- 30:53Speaker 3: takes off and he basically ran the other company out
- 30:56Speaker 3: of business.
- 30:58Speaker 1: But that means you have to trust in the.
- 31:00Speaker 3: Booking of AAW putting ospray in that position, in ospray
- 31:04Speaker 3: generating those results. Otherwise, Yeah, five years from now, we're
- 31:07Speaker 3: gonna look back and be like, you know, WWE smoked
- 31:10Speaker 3: this class because A, these guys are all these people
- 31:13Speaker 3: are all big stars, and B they didn't cost as
- 31:16Speaker 3: much as the other guys, So you're getting a return
- 31:19Speaker 3: on investment that's much better. I think right now you
- 31:21Speaker 3: look at aw go and is your return on investment
- 31:25Speaker 3: really generating the results you wanted. I think wwkn honestly
- 31:29Speaker 3: say that, Yeah, our class is even now generating return
- 31:33Speaker 3: on investment better than what they thought they were going
- 31:35Speaker 3: to get.
- 31:36Speaker 1: And I don't know. In AW you can't say that
- 31:38Speaker 1: right now.
- 31:39Speaker 2: WWE is a better product. As the year has gone
- 31:42Speaker 2: on with these free agents. Aw is a less than
- 31:45Speaker 2: product than it was at the start of the year
- 31:47Speaker 2: with the addition of these free agents. And that's shocking
- 31:50Speaker 2: because you would figure, and we said it in the
- 31:51Speaker 2: early onset of twenty twenty four, like Osprey locatam on
- 31:54Speaker 2: A this should inject some life in the company. And
- 31:57Speaker 2: it's been the complete opposite. It's like reverse osmosis for
- 32:00Speaker 2: all leave wrestling. So it's been a very interesting year
- 32:04Speaker 2: for free agents and it's something that as we get
- 32:07Speaker 2: close to the end of twenty twenty four, I was
- 32:08Speaker 2: really thinking about as we get to these last couple
- 32:11Speaker 2: of weeks of the year, because it was such a
- 32:14Speaker 2: big year. It was such a big topic of discussion
- 32:17Speaker 2: was the free agent market and professional wrestling for this year.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Speaking of we speaking of good character development, doctor Trey.
- 32:24Speaker 2: One of those people that has really benefited from that
- 32:26Speaker 2: in twenty twenty four is one solo Socoa. I've watched
- 32:31Speaker 2: in the last couple of weeks on Raw and SmackDown
- 32:35Speaker 2: and I was like, man, it's under the radar, but
- 32:38Speaker 2: this guy has gotten really good. He has found his confidence,
- 32:41Speaker 2: he has found his personality. He is extremely likable, even
- 32:45Speaker 2: though playing one of the top heels in the SmackDown brand.
- 32:47Speaker 2: I think this is a guy that could be like
- 32:49Speaker 2: a really big baby face at some point because his personality,
- 32:51Speaker 2: which is the same for his brothers like Jay and Jimmy,
- 32:54Speaker 2: are like very magnetic, have great charisma, great personalities that
- 32:59Speaker 2: I think the just kind of adhere to and they
- 33:01Speaker 2: love I think Solo could get there someday, but he's
- 33:04Speaker 2: been so great as a heel. I'm just like thinking
- 33:06Speaker 2: to myself, we got the award show coming up, which,
- 33:09Speaker 2: by the way, we will formally announce a holiday programming
- 33:11Speaker 2: schedule on our Thanksgiving special on next week's edition of SRTU.
- 33:15Speaker 2: And I'm like, we keep talking about could it be
- 33:17Speaker 2: Ospre for Breakout Start of the year, could it be
- 33:19Speaker 2: Swerve the breakout start of the year, Like who could
- 33:22Speaker 2: be the breakout start of the year. I'm like, why
- 33:24Speaker 2: aren't we consitting considering Solo Soca? So I asked you this,
- 33:28Speaker 2: doctor Trey, should Solo Socoa be strongly considered for the
- 33:30Speaker 2: Breakout Start of the Year award? When we talk in
- 33:33Speaker 2: about a little over a month, and do we over
- 33:36Speaker 2: have we overlooked Solo Socoa after a really strong year
- 33:40Speaker 2: in twenty twenty four?
- 33:42Speaker 3: So my answering versary, so have we overlooked him? Absolute
- 33:45Speaker 3: frecolutely and the evolution of his character? Nine months ago
- 33:49Speaker 3: he didn't speak and now he cuts. He's one of
- 33:53Speaker 3: the best promo guys that we see on television and
- 33:56Speaker 3: in a lot of ways. And I saw somebody suppose
- 33:58Speaker 3: his picture of it was two weeks ago he came
- 34:01Speaker 3: out in like a black turtleneck with a gold chain.
- 34:03Speaker 3: I'm like, he has gone from Umaga to the Rock
- 34:06Speaker 3: in nine months. I mean that's the evolution of solo
- 34:09Speaker 3: in this and it's an incredible transformation.
- 34:13Speaker 1: And he's helped elevate, you know.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Toma Tonga, Tongolowa and Jacob Fatu into being upper mid
- 34:21Speaker 3: carb borderline main event stars just by being in his orbit,
- 34:24Speaker 3: which is what The Rock did for Dilo, Mark Henry
- 34:27Speaker 3: and the Godfather back in the Nation of Domination days.
- 34:29Speaker 3: So yeah, he's a completely we've completely overlooked him and yeah,
- 34:33Speaker 3: absolutely is Should he be considered in that breakout level?
- 34:37Speaker 1: Yeah, because he's done.
- 34:39Speaker 3: What we're seeing is if you remember when he was
- 34:40Speaker 3: in nxteen, when he came in, he was a heel,
- 34:43Speaker 3: but because his personality was so inviting and he was
- 34:48Speaker 3: hit that a little bit of that swag and charisma
- 34:49Speaker 3: to him, they turned him Babyface before he got moved
- 34:52Speaker 3: to the main roster just for that reason. So I
- 34:56Speaker 3: think he's been overshadowed by the Aweso spray import to
- 35:01Speaker 3: the United States, and that's why we kind of just
- 35:04Speaker 3: kind of took Solo for granted, and you know there's
- 35:08Speaker 3: people have a bias excuse me against Solo because of
- 35:12Speaker 3: you know, he's just getting he's in his spot because
- 35:14Speaker 3: of his family and everybody else. We've seen you and
- 35:18Speaker 3: I've been watching wrestling for a long time. We've seen
- 35:21Speaker 3: nepotism hires and some do great and some are David Flair.
- 35:27Speaker 1: So it's just because you get the spot doesn't mean
- 35:30Speaker 1: you keep the spot.
- 35:31Speaker 3: And Solo has done everything correct since we were the
- 35:35Speaker 3: main roster to earn his place on the card where
- 35:37Speaker 3: he's at right now.
- 35:38Speaker 1: And absolutely, I mean breakout star.
- 35:41Speaker 3: I mean Ospray May I guess ospray for the United
- 35:44Speaker 3: States the audience is a breakout star. But Solo, for
- 35:47Speaker 3: evolution of character in nine months has just been incredible
- 35:51Speaker 3: this year.
- 35:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm watching the show and I'm like, man, why
- 35:54Speaker 2: are we not mentioning him more as a breakouts are
- 35:57Speaker 2: of the year. It's been completely well lost brace for whoever.
- 36:00Speaker 2: And it's like Solo has as you said, and you
- 36:03Speaker 2: hit it on the head and these are the things
- 36:04Speaker 2: I would think about. He went from not talking to
- 36:06Speaker 2: talking all the time and having a lot of confidence
- 36:09Speaker 2: and charisma on the microphone. One of the subtle things,
- 36:12Speaker 2: and I don't know if you've seen this on social
- 36:14Speaker 2: media dotch tray at all, but one of my favorite
- 36:15Speaker 2: things that like pop up on my algorithm now for
- 36:18Speaker 2: various different social media accounts is these Solo Socoa like
- 36:23Speaker 2: dark matches or events, stuff at house shows, or him
- 36:28Speaker 2: out out to like day to day life where he's
- 36:32Speaker 2: like helping someone like put put luggage on an airplane
- 36:36Speaker 2: that always pops up. He's like walking into an arena
- 36:40Speaker 2: and somebody calls him like the fake tribal chief or whatever,
- 36:45Speaker 2: and he like makes him flinch. He messes with people
- 36:49Speaker 2: at ringside during commercial breaks. There's a great one where
- 36:54Speaker 2: there's this famous picture of the usos as kids plus Solo,
- 36:59Speaker 2: and Solo's like very young, probably like eleven years old,
- 37:01Speaker 2: and he's got like a backwards hat on. It's everything
- 37:03Speaker 2: that you'd seen like the late nineties, early two thousands,
- 37:07Speaker 2: and it was like, this is not my tribal chief.
- 37:10Speaker 2: And they put that picture on the sign at ringside
- 37:14Speaker 2: and he just is like staring it down. There's a
- 37:17Speaker 2: lot of good stuff by about him, and I really
- 37:19Speaker 2: think Solo at some point someday will be a very
- 37:22Speaker 2: over babyface because he is so damn likable and is
- 37:26Speaker 2: having so much fun and that resonates on television and
- 37:30Speaker 2: he still has that magnetic personality and that like he's
- 37:33Speaker 2: having a lot of fun on we television, but it's
- 37:35Speaker 2: correlating extremely well as a heel right now. So yeah,
- 37:39Speaker 2: I don't know, Doc Trey, I thought that this was
- 37:41Speaker 2: kind of like a slam dunk decision this year, but
- 37:43Speaker 2: I feel like Solziko has made a real strong push
- 37:46Speaker 2: to close out twenty twenty four right now.
- 37:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, you can tell he's sat under some
- 37:51Speaker 3: good learning trees because he has some of the best facials,
- 37:54Speaker 3: Like he can just look at the camera and you
- 37:56Speaker 3: know exactly how he's feeling, and a lot of that's
- 38:00Speaker 3: is It's a lot of the same stuff we were
- 38:01Speaker 3: saying about Roman towards the end of the Blood like
- 38:04Speaker 3: like he was so affable and likable being a heel
- 38:08Speaker 3: that you knew once.
- 38:09Speaker 1: They turned a baby face they would kind of blow up.
- 38:11Speaker 3: And Solo's in that same realm right now, like his
- 38:13Speaker 3: confidence is just oozing out and bubbling over, and a
- 38:17Speaker 3: lot of the same things that Roman was doing there
- 38:19Speaker 3: those just remember like Roman was like yelling at Paul
- 38:22Speaker 3: him I think when they were in England for Class
- 38:24Speaker 3: of the Castle, like how he hates this place and
- 38:27Speaker 3: how stupid the fan. Like those little things were things
- 38:30Speaker 3: that you and I would go, that's a babyface thing
- 38:33Speaker 3: that would actually get people to laugh and like him
- 38:34Speaker 3: a lot more if he was a good guy. Solo's
- 38:37Speaker 3: the same way, So he's he's really picked up a
- 38:40Speaker 3: lot of the stuff. And then once again, when you're
- 38:41Speaker 3: the son of Rakishi and you're the brother to the
- 38:44Speaker 3: Usos and the cousin to Roman reigns and these are
- 38:47Speaker 3: four of the biggest stars wrestlings ever had, it's it's
- 38:51Speaker 3: kind of hard not to pick up on those things
- 38:53Speaker 3: to help you get over You just have to know
- 38:56Speaker 3: how to apply it in the right way to really
- 38:58Speaker 3: get the audience to react to you.
- 39:00Speaker 1: And he's done a great job.
- 39:01Speaker 3: Like if you had ever told me that somebody who
- 39:04Speaker 3: basically was booked like Umaga would be the focal point
- 39:08Speaker 3: heal and not have a mouthpiece with them what I
- 39:11Speaker 3: told you, there's no way a guy can pull it off.
- 39:13Speaker 3: He's pulled it off, and he's made this race for
- 39:15Speaker 3: breakout star really really close and interesting because as he
- 39:19Speaker 3: keeps ascending and getting better, we see Osprey not getting
- 39:23Speaker 3: booked as well, so he might catch him by the end,
- 39:26Speaker 3: because it feels like the Tortoise and the Hair where
- 39:30Speaker 3: Ospray got out to a big lead, but he's kind
- 39:33Speaker 3: of slowing down here at the end, and Solo just
- 39:35Speaker 3: keeps getting better and better week after week, and he
- 39:38Speaker 3: might catch him by the end of the year.
- 39:39Speaker 2: In twelve months, so Sokoa has pinned both John Cena
- 39:43Speaker 2: and Roman Reigns at a major plae for World Hours Entertainment.
- 39:47Speaker 2: That is no small feat. Doctor Trey switching gears to
- 39:53Speaker 2: all the wrestling will preven predict your full gear momentarily.
- 39:56Speaker 2: But there was a big comment made from John Mock
- 40:00Speaker 2: recently where he talks about why AW needs to be
- 40:04Speaker 2: successful or it will set the business back. He had
- 40:07Speaker 2: an interview with Sam Fishman and he said, and I quote,
- 40:13Speaker 2: AW has to be a success. If it's not, the
- 40:16Speaker 2: business gets set back another twenty fucking years. I'm not
- 40:19Speaker 2: willing to go through that again. Others who I've known
- 40:21Speaker 2: for fifteen to twenty years are not willing to go
- 40:23Speaker 2: through that again. It's at the hands of our generation.
- 40:26Speaker 2: This is what we wanted to do in all we've
- 40:27Speaker 2: ever wanted to do. The future is in our hands.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Whatever AW will become in the future is up to us. Frankly,
- 40:34Speaker 2: in five years nothing has been built. We're going to
- 40:36Speaker 2: build it right now. There has been no flag. AD
- 40:38Speaker 2: was not really nailed down its identity, but being a
- 40:41Speaker 2: young company, and that's fine. There has been a known
- 40:44Speaker 2: flag for everyone to unify and say, this is who
- 40:46Speaker 2: we are and who we are what we do in
- 40:49Speaker 2: the direction we're going. We're going to plan our flag.
- 40:52Speaker 2: That's starting with me and a few people watching my back.
- 40:54Speaker 2: In others, we're going to demand more of everybody around us.
- 40:58Speaker 2: I think the big telling thing here to Treys is
- 41:01Speaker 2: Moxley saying AW has to be success. If it's not,
- 41:03Speaker 2: the business gets set back in another twenty years. Do
- 41:06Speaker 2: you agree with that statement, Because as much as the
- 41:11Speaker 2: influence of the last few years of five years of
- 41:13Speaker 2: wrestling is due to the launch of awwwe got better
- 41:17Speaker 2: because it was heavily influenced by the launch of AW
- 41:19Speaker 2: and they needed to get better. Do you really think
- 41:22Speaker 2: if AW was not successful the business gets set back
- 41:24Speaker 2: in another twenty years.
- 41:27Speaker 1: I actually agree with them on that.
- 41:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I do, because when you look at when WCW,
- 41:32Speaker 3: even in the early eighties, when the NWA was battling WWF,
- 41:35Speaker 3: there was still that pressure on WWF to beat your competition.
- 41:40Speaker 3: There was still that line there, and it still gave
- 41:42Speaker 3: guys an opportunity to go somewhere else and still make
- 41:45Speaker 3: a good living. So the talent pool built because wrestling
- 41:50Speaker 3: was a viable career for these guys, you know, and
- 41:55Speaker 3: even all the way up through the nineties, and when
- 41:57Speaker 3: you look at when WCW died, like wrestling got really
- 42:02Speaker 3: bad for a long time, there was no opportunities. When
- 42:05Speaker 3: guys got released, there was nowhere else to go to
- 42:08Speaker 3: make the kind of money that they were making in WWE.
- 42:12Speaker 3: With the launch of AAW, it gave guys a platform
- 42:15Speaker 3: and an option that, hey, if I don't like what
- 42:18Speaker 3: ww's doing with me, I can go here and still
- 42:21Speaker 3: make a good living. And we saw a lot of
- 42:24Speaker 3: those guys make that move out from under Vince and
- 42:27Speaker 3: make that move to AW for those reasons.
- 42:30Speaker 1: Whether it's Moxley, Jericho FTR, you know.
- 42:32Speaker 3: All those guys in those early days of AAW, that
- 42:35Speaker 3: was what it was, and if AW goes away, you know,
- 42:39Speaker 3: I heard a guy say today like when in absence
- 42:42Speaker 3: of leadership, a power vacuum develops as somebody fills that role.
- 42:48Speaker 1: We saw that a little bit in the early.
- 42:50Speaker 3: Two thousand and twenty tens with the rise of TNA
- 42:53Speaker 3: and Ring of Honor, but they were never really viable
- 42:56Speaker 3: competition on the level of economics. Like AAW does, AW
- 43:01Speaker 3: has enough bankroll to match WWE. If that goes away,
- 43:07Speaker 3: is anybody gonna be running to go jump a new
- 43:09Speaker 3: jumpstart a new wrestling promotion if AAW dies, no, because
- 43:13Speaker 3: they're gonna look at going Well, TNA didn't succeed, ECW
- 43:17Speaker 3: didn't succeed, Ring of Honored in seed, and now AAW
- 43:19Speaker 3: that had a billionaire backing them up, they didn't succeed.
- 43:23Speaker 3: Maybe this is a one trick ponent kind of business
- 43:25Speaker 3: with WWE. So I think that we need that second
- 43:30Speaker 3: option to keep the health of wrestling going.
- 43:33Speaker 1: Because wrestling is a smarteressboard.
- 43:35Speaker 3: There's different flavors for everybody in between AW and WWE,
- 43:38Speaker 3: you get your bases covered. But like I said, when
- 43:41Speaker 3: WCW died, WW is the only option in town, and
- 43:45Speaker 3: the ratings went down the talent kind of went down,
- 43:48Speaker 3: like we got really like the Jeff, there was times
- 43:52Speaker 3: that you and I thought about quitting this show because
- 43:54Speaker 3: wrestling was so bad in that window of time between
- 43:57Speaker 3: twenty twelve and twenty sixteen. You know, it took an
- 44:01Speaker 3: AW to reinvigorate the WW product. So I think you
- 44:05Speaker 3: need some kind of healthy option. And if AW dies
- 44:09Speaker 3: in a billionaire fails, I don't think any BAILS is
- 44:11Speaker 3: jumping up to fill that void for the next twenty years.
- 44:15Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I agree with you on that where we
- 44:18Speaker 2: need that second option. I guess the part that I
- 44:22Speaker 2: will find a little debatable is I think WWE has
- 44:27Speaker 2: learned from their ways and I can't see the current book,
- 44:30Speaker 2: the current creative, the current business model, the current guys
- 44:34Speaker 2: running the company, the TKO board, letting WW fall back
- 44:40Speaker 2: into the trap that after two thousand and one when
- 44:42Speaker 2: WWNECW folded, that are just got to like wrestle their
- 44:45Speaker 2: laurels and if somebody pops up, great, But the most
- 44:48Speaker 2: likelihood is that WE dominates for twenty plus years. That
- 44:51Speaker 2: part I don't think will happen again. I think Vince
- 44:55Speaker 2: didn't have a desire to appease his audience after those
- 45:00Speaker 2: companies folded and there was no competition left. I think
- 45:03Speaker 2: the folks now it's a bit different because of the
- 45:05Speaker 2: television contracts, Doctor Trey. So, I mean, they have to
- 45:09Speaker 2: perform to earn that five billion dollars from Netflix, they
- 45:13Speaker 2: have to perform to earn that money from the USA network,
- 45:15Speaker 2: they have to perform to earn that money from the
- 45:17Speaker 2: CW network, And they have to perform for people to
- 45:20Speaker 2: watch want to watch their pls on the Peacocks platform
- 45:23Speaker 2: in the United States. So I think things have changed
- 45:26Speaker 2: a bit where we do want a second company. We
- 45:29Speaker 2: do want a company that is going to push AWWE
- 45:32Speaker 2: in aw and we also want a company that's going
- 45:35Speaker 2: to push ine AWW better. But I don't think it
- 45:39Speaker 2: will have the same ramifications it did in two thousand
- 45:42Speaker 2: and one when WCWNCW closed.
- 45:44Speaker 1: If that makes sense, Yeah, it does a lot of that.
- 45:49Speaker 3: On the level of it makes sense that they would
- 45:52Speaker 3: continue on doing what they're doing. Makes sense, but we
- 45:54Speaker 3: also know that they're no longer a privately owned company.
- 45:58Speaker 3: They're part of a corporate and every corporation goes through
- 46:02Speaker 3: ups and downs, and there are times like well, if
- 46:04Speaker 3: you don't have any competition. Do we need to be
- 46:07Speaker 3: paying these exorbitant salaries to people? Do we need to
- 46:09Speaker 3: be paying Do we need to be offering Becky Lynch
- 46:12Speaker 3: three million dollars a year if she has nowhere else
- 46:15Speaker 3: to go?
- 46:16Speaker 1: Can we get it? For one?
- 46:17Speaker 3: And so if you start shrinking the budgets and shrinking
- 46:20Speaker 3: the things up like that, because you're assuming that when
- 46:24Speaker 3: aw folds up that that audience will translate over, that's
- 46:28Speaker 3: not always the case.
- 46:29Speaker 1: So there is a little bit of hesitancy and me
- 46:32Speaker 1: to sit.
- 46:32Speaker 3: There and say that, yeah, you're absolutely right, it'll actually
- 46:34Speaker 3: go that way, because we've seen it in business models
- 46:36Speaker 3: before that when competition dies off, whoever survives that battle
- 46:42Speaker 3: does kind of shrink down their their costs to maximize
- 46:47Speaker 3: their revenues, and then the product actually suffers a little bit.
- 46:50Speaker 3: So that's that's my nervousness in it, because we've seen
- 46:53Speaker 3: it before that when these companies go out of business,
- 46:55Speaker 3: whether it was the Independent Territories in the eighties or
- 46:58Speaker 3: WCWN the in the two thousands, when the competition dies
- 47:03Speaker 3: up or dries up, the winner doesn't go, hey, let's
- 47:07Speaker 3: go spend crazily and just blow this out of the water,
- 47:09Speaker 3: they shrink up their piece of the pie. Also bring
- 47:12Speaker 3: everything in house to maximize their revenue. So that's that's
- 47:15Speaker 3: my nervousness in that kind of concept.
- 47:17Speaker 2: Well, it's funny because it's the same old it's the pendulum, right.
- 47:21Speaker 2: I mean, we just saw it in the United States
- 47:22Speaker 2: a couple of years ago, where the pendulum was swinging
- 47:25Speaker 2: for the very first time to the employees. Job market
- 47:28Speaker 2: was tight, people weren't there was plenty of open jobs.
- 47:31Speaker 2: People could leave their jobs at any given moment, and employees.
- 47:34Speaker 2: Employers want to do everything possible to make their employees
- 47:37Speaker 2: happy and give them all these benefits, the ability to
- 47:39Speaker 2: work from home, travel here, stipend there, blah blah blah
- 47:43Speaker 2: blah blah, and that was all well and good as
- 47:46Speaker 2: the economy took a shit. Then all of a sudden,
- 47:49Speaker 2: the power went back to the employers and cuts are
- 47:51Speaker 2: happening and everybody's going to return to the office. So
- 47:54Speaker 2: it's just funny how things work. And right now the
- 47:58Speaker 2: power is in the fans and the power is in
- 48:01Speaker 2: the wrestler. The organization does not have the power, and
- 48:04Speaker 2: that has been consistent right now for five years. So
- 48:08Speaker 2: you're starting to see more ability being thrown back to
- 48:11Speaker 2: the fans and more ability thrown back to the wrestlers.
- 48:14Speaker 2: You would figure it at some point that maybe the organizations,
- 48:17Speaker 2: the employers get that power back right now. But as
- 48:20Speaker 2: long as they are in number two and they're they're
- 48:21Speaker 2: vying and pushing w to be better, then I don't
- 48:25Speaker 2: think that will happen. But I guess the one thing
- 48:28Speaker 2: that I'll say, just to wrap this all up, doctor Trey,
- 48:30Speaker 2: is I mean, is aw And a number two anymore?
- 48:35Speaker 2: I mean there are times I'm watching Dynamite rampage collision.
- 48:38Speaker 2: The crowd reactions are very poor. They are an arenas
- 48:41Speaker 2: that they should not be in anymore because the attendance
- 48:44Speaker 2: is so low. I think the MVP arena in Albany
- 48:48Speaker 2: where they just had collision recently, and I'm going to
- 48:52Speaker 2: double check this real quick, but I'm pretty sure that
- 48:56Speaker 2: fills over like ten thousand people and they sevente five
- 49:03Speaker 2: hundred people, and they may have had two thousand in
- 49:06Speaker 2: there for collision this past Saturday night, and you could
- 49:09Speaker 2: see that most of that arena was blacked off. I mean,
- 49:12Speaker 2: are they a number two right now? I mean they're
- 49:15Speaker 2: falling behind in viewership to NXT. I mean, I understand
- 49:18Speaker 2: that this may open the floodgates to a conversation, but
- 49:21Speaker 2: I guess on the short term here and in a
- 49:24Speaker 2: short term response short response, are they are they a
- 49:28Speaker 2: viable number two right now?
- 49:29Speaker 3: I think they're still I think they're still a viable
- 49:31Speaker 3: number two. It is a little bit of and I'm
- 49:34Speaker 3: not saying they're closing up shop or they're going out.
- 49:36Speaker 1: I don't want to. It's mistaking me for that.
- 49:38Speaker 3: It does feel a little bit like the end of WCW,
- 49:40Speaker 3: where you can still find WCW products out in your sword.
- 49:43Speaker 3: You can still buy the t shirts, the action figures
- 49:45Speaker 3: also like and that is still brand visibility. They still
- 49:49Speaker 3: have more brand visibility than any other company out there.
- 49:53Speaker 3: That's why when the Joe Henry phenomenon took offer. But
- 49:56Speaker 3: it's like, what's this TNA stuff? And TDA got a
- 49:58Speaker 3: little bit of a bump in viewership for where they're
- 50:00Speaker 3: at before because it was just kind of like, oh,
- 50:02Speaker 3: I thought they went out of business or I thought
- 50:04Speaker 3: they had kind of close up shop. AW is still
- 50:07Speaker 3: a recognizable brand, Like they still have international deals, they
- 50:11Speaker 3: still have their wal like Walt, their products are walmarts
- 50:14Speaker 3: and targets and you know, hot topics and things like
- 50:17Speaker 3: that place, so you can still get their stuff in
- 50:20Speaker 3: brick and mortar stores. Is not all online like an
- 50:23Speaker 3: MLW or you know any of these other you know,
- 50:25Speaker 3: even TNA for that matter, there's still a recognizable brand.
- 50:29Speaker 3: The problem is is that if you don't stop the slide,
- 50:34Speaker 3: you're not going to bring new viewership in.
- 50:36Speaker 1: You're going to continue to slide.
- 50:38Speaker 3: You have to find a way to write the ship,
- 50:39Speaker 3: which I thought Moxley in that interview made some great
- 50:41Speaker 3: salium points, which is some of the things that you
- 50:43Speaker 3: and I have been saying the last couple of years,
- 50:44Speaker 3: Like the brand doesn't have an identity, and you have
- 50:48Speaker 3: to create one, and whether it's like downsizing into small
- 50:51Speaker 3: arenas and going more to like what ECW did at
- 50:54Speaker 3: something like when they've got rebranded into Extreme Championship Wrestling
- 50:57Speaker 3: and found their little niche products to create buzz again
- 51:01Speaker 3: and draw people in to watch it. Hey, maybe that works,
- 51:05Speaker 3: and then you have the already have the infrastructure in
- 51:07Speaker 3: place to re expand the business out. They are in
- 51:11Speaker 3: an identity crisis right now, and that's why I think
- 51:14Speaker 3: that a lot of the viewers have gone away because
- 51:16Speaker 3: it's like, well, we don't really know what we're getting
- 51:18Speaker 3: from week to week. There's no consistency in the product.
- 51:21Speaker 3: There's no consistency in the inn ring performance, there's no
- 51:26Speaker 3: consistency in the storylines. And if you don't have consistency,
- 51:29Speaker 3: you can't build loyalty.
- 51:32Speaker 2: That's a great way to end it, right there. Not
- 51:33Speaker 2: sure I think that is the perfect way to end it.
- 51:36Speaker 2: So let's get into the big show this Saturday for
- 51:39Speaker 2: aw Full Gear Previeum predictions this Saturday from the Prudential
- 51:43Speaker 2: Center in Newark, New Jersey. We'll start of the pre
- 51:45Speaker 2: show match here, Doctor Trey, one of your favorites, Big
- 51:48Speaker 2: boom AJ taken on QT Marshall. I'm going to take
- 51:51Speaker 2: on Big Boom AJ from the Costco guys. I am
- 51:55Speaker 2: not in this Costco guys Metaverse multiverse? Are you Dot
- 52:00Speaker 2: Tray and who do you like in this match?
- 52:02Speaker 1: I don't. I don't know who any of those people are.
- 52:04Speaker 1: I know Qt Marshall, I saw his rap video.
- 52:08Speaker 2: You don't know, you don't know the Rizzler.
- 52:11Speaker 1: It was, is that like Bizarro Riddler.
- 52:14Speaker 2: It's like this eight year old kid that this is
- 52:16Speaker 2: like weird thing with his face.
- 52:18Speaker 1: Is that like Ryan's world.
- 52:19Speaker 3: I know that guy I saw.
- 52:20Speaker 1: I saw his stuff at Walmart. I don't know.
- 52:23Speaker 3: Like when they when they start talking about this, I
- 52:25Speaker 3: was like, I don't know. This is like when like
- 52:28Speaker 3: music award shows come on now and I'm the old
- 52:30Speaker 3: guy going on.
- 52:30Speaker 1: I don't know who. I don't know who any of
- 52:32Speaker 1: these people are. What the hell I don't know? I
- 52:34Speaker 1: thought Big Boom and a J.
- 52:35Speaker 3: I thought Aj Francis was making like a debut for
- 52:38Speaker 3: aw from TNA. It's what I literally thought, and then
- 52:41Speaker 3: somebody had to educate me a little bit on it.
- 52:43Speaker 3: I'm like, I don't know who this is. I will
- 52:45Speaker 3: take Big Boom AJ in the Wrizzler just because there's three.
- 52:48Speaker 3: There's only one QT Marshall.
- 52:50Speaker 2: I don't think it's a three on one match, but
- 52:52Speaker 2: we'll go with Big Boom AJ. I can't wait for
- 52:55Speaker 2: you to watch this match and give your feedback on it.
- 52:58Speaker 2: MJF versus Roger Shrunk to Trey, Who do you like
- 53:00Speaker 2: in this one?
- 53:01Speaker 1: I got MJF, but I don't know about you.
- 53:04Speaker 3: Could Could I see Roderick turn on Adam Cole at
- 53:07Speaker 3: the end of this match, like Adam comes out to
- 53:09Speaker 3: help or Adam Cole comes out to him help Roderick
- 53:14Speaker 3: cost him the match, and then we find out that
- 53:16Speaker 3: MJF is actually the head of the of the Enniscuta Kingdom.
- 53:19Speaker 3: Right now, I think that is possibility, Okay, but I'm
- 53:22Speaker 3: taking I'm taking MJF just because I I we had
- 53:25Speaker 3: to build to MJF and Adam Cole, so MJFF losing
- 53:28Speaker 3: to roder doesn't make sense.
- 53:29Speaker 1: So I'm taking MJF to win.
- 53:31Speaker 3: By the way, the MJO maybe mjf's joined the patriarchy
- 53:35Speaker 3: because there are some vicious shots at Roderick Strong's dead
- 53:38Speaker 3: father this past week.
- 53:41Speaker 2: Those vignettes that they've been airing. By the way, I'm
- 53:43Speaker 2: taking MGF as well. Those vignettes that they've been airing
- 53:46Speaker 2: after all these matches with Adam Cole and and Roger Strong,
- 53:50Speaker 2: they are got awful. I'm not a fan. I mean,
- 53:53Speaker 2: there's it's sunlight and it's it's it's a nighttime show,
- 53:56Speaker 2: like where is the Iceland? Like what do we do?
- 54:00Speaker 2: I mean that that I like the creativity, but that
- 54:03Speaker 2: those have been bad.
- 54:03Speaker 3: Doctor Trey, Well, I mean this is you know, this
- 54:06Speaker 3: is what moxis talking about we've we've tried some stuff
- 54:08Speaker 3: that didn't work, we got out what actually works, and
- 54:11Speaker 3: apparently taping a show at night but doing your vignettes
- 54:14Speaker 3: in the middle of the day that air post match
- 54:16Speaker 3: doesn't make a lot of sense.
- 54:18Speaker 2: Next match, here is j Why taking on Hangman Adam Paige.
- 54:21Speaker 2: J White is going on about on and on about
- 54:24Speaker 2: how he has Hangman out in Page's number. He won
- 54:27Speaker 2: the match at Wrestled Dreams. Therefore I'm gonna go with
- 54:30Speaker 2: Hangman at a Page in this one.
- 54:31Speaker 3: Doctor Trey, Yeah, I'm doing like the same with the situation,
- 54:34Speaker 3: Like if if Jay got to win, Hangman gets a
- 54:36Speaker 3: win because aaw Tipley does fifty to fifty booking anyway
- 54:39Speaker 3: on with her big stars, So it's time for Hangman
- 54:41Speaker 3: to get a win and get back into the title.
- 54:44Speaker 3: We got to figure out where Hangman lies in this
- 54:46Speaker 3: whole bcc aw takeover storyline at some point, or does
- 54:50Speaker 3: he get involved with Swerbigan at some point after this
- 54:52Speaker 3: hurt business thing dies off.
- 54:55Speaker 2: Next match here is Private Party defending the aw Tech
- 54:58Speaker 2: World Tag Team Championship in a four way tag team
- 55:00Speaker 2: match against the Outrunners. Came to the Black Throne and
- 55:03Speaker 2: the acclaimed Doctor Trey. Who do you like in this one?
- 55:06Speaker 1: Well, I'd love to see the outrunners win.
- 55:09Speaker 3: I don't think, like, how do you put the belts
- 55:11Speaker 3: on Private Party and take it right back off them?
- 55:13Speaker 3: To me, House of Black is the most deserving team
- 55:15Speaker 3: to get to win, But I'm still taking Private Party
- 55:17Speaker 3: just because they just got the belts a month ago.
- 55:21Speaker 3: You gotta let him hang on to it for a
- 55:22Speaker 3: little while if you're trying to actually build your tag
- 55:25Speaker 3: team division again.
- 55:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm with you here. I don't think you take
- 55:28Speaker 2: the titles off Private Party right now. Mercedes Monete defends
- 55:32Speaker 2: the AWTBS Championship against Chris Statlander. I'm gonna take Mercedes
- 55:36Speaker 2: money in this one, not to try.
- 55:38Speaker 1: By the way, did you see this segment with her
- 55:40Speaker 1: trying to hit the backstabber?
- 55:41Speaker 2: Yeah, it was awful.
- 55:44Speaker 3: That was so bad, and it messed up her tombstone
- 55:47Speaker 3: as well because she couldn't get one hundred and twenty
- 55:49Speaker 3: pound person into position. Like it's just it's got awful.
- 55:54Speaker 3: I really want to pick stat Lander in this match,
- 55:56Speaker 3: and it's hard because I kind of want to see them,
- 55:59Speaker 3: but with Yama kind of still heading up the women's
- 56:01Speaker 3: title division. I think I think Mercedes Monet gets the
- 56:05Speaker 3: wins one. What are why are all the champions Eminem?
- 56:08Speaker 3: By the way, I just now did the map on
- 56:10Speaker 3: that too.
- 56:10Speaker 2: But the Eminem collection isn't a champion.
- 56:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 56:13Speaker 2: Next match Strickland taking on Bobby Lashley Doctor Trey. Who
- 56:18Speaker 2: do you like in this one?
- 56:19Speaker 1: I'm going to numbers Games again.
- 56:21Speaker 3: I'm gonna take Lashley getting the win here because you
- 56:22Speaker 3: still have Sheldon, you still have MVP, And as much
- 56:25Speaker 3: as I love Prince Nana, is he really a threat
- 56:28Speaker 3: against MVP or you know Sheldon to get involved. So
- 56:32Speaker 3: I will take Lashley getting the win by hook and
- 56:34Speaker 3: by crook.
- 56:35Speaker 2: I'm going to take Bobby Lashley getting this victory as well.
- 56:37Speaker 2: I don't think you signed him to have his first
- 56:40Speaker 2: to have him lose on the first paper he's involved with.
- 56:44Speaker 2: Next match is Jack Perry defend the AWT and T
- 56:46Speaker 2: Champion against Daniy Garcia. This has been some really good
- 56:49Speaker 2: vignettes and segments so far, a lot of Batman and
- 56:52Speaker 2: Joker stuff. With that said, I would love to pick
- 56:55Speaker 2: Daniel Garcia in this one, but the way they left
- 56:57Speaker 2: it off on Dynamite, I am going to pick Jack Perry,
- 56:59Speaker 2: Doctor Truck.
- 57:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm picking Perry as well, just because you destroyed
- 57:04Speaker 3: the Man's ice cream truck.
- 57:06Speaker 1: Whatever that thing is, I don't really know.
- 57:08Speaker 2: Is it plus old school bus?
- 57:09Speaker 3: Right, it's an old school bus. It looked like he
- 57:11Speaker 3: stole from the ice cream Man. Also, I don't really know.
- 57:13Speaker 3: It looks like he got a leftover thing from a
- 57:16Speaker 3: Samoa Joe's Twisted Metal TV show and turned into a vehicle.
- 57:20Speaker 3: But I'm taking Perry as well because of that, and
- 57:22Speaker 3: also I just watched nine of two and oh and
- 57:24Speaker 3: his dad was on it, So I'll take Jack Perry.
- 57:26Speaker 2: Next match is Will Osprey taken on Kyle Fletcher, Doctor Tree.
- 57:29Speaker 2: Who do you like? In this one?
- 57:30Speaker 3: I'm taking will Osprey to beat the fake as Eminem,
- 57:34Speaker 3: So yeah, I.
- 57:35Speaker 2: Am taking Will Ospray as well. And then the main
- 57:37Speaker 2: event here, John Moxley defends the aw World Champions against
- 57:40Speaker 2: Orange Cassidy. Decent build, decent feud. I'd like the character
- 57:44Speaker 2: development of Orange Cassidy, the John Moxley Death Riders storyline,
- 57:49Speaker 2: I'm starting to potentially lose interest in. With that said,
- 57:54Speaker 2: I am going to take John Moxley in this one.
- 57:57Speaker 3: I'm taking Moxley as well, because Orange Cassie's stood up,
- 58:00Speaker 3: uh in put his hands in his pocket to close
- 58:04Speaker 3: out Dynamite or was it that Mite, So he's showing
- 58:08Speaker 3: his uh, you know, fu to the man, so to speak.
- 58:11Speaker 3: But I'm taking Moxie because as much as we love
- 58:13Speaker 3: Morenge Cassidy, he's not the biggest baby face in the company,
- 58:16Speaker 3: and we got to get to the death writers against
- 58:18Speaker 3: the bigger baby faces.
- 58:20Speaker 1: Uh So I'm taking Moxley to Weather.
- 58:23Speaker 3: And why the hell did we have Claudia beat the
- 58:24Speaker 3: hell out of Darby Allen last week as well?
- 58:26Speaker 1: I don't I don't get that.
- 58:27Speaker 2: Uh you just brought up like the top baby faces.
- 58:30Speaker 2: I would figure the next guy in line would be
- 58:32Speaker 2: Darby Allen. And I was just gonna. I was thinking
- 58:34Speaker 2: the same stuff, like why is Darby getting jobbed out
- 58:37Speaker 2: hard to Claudia Castagnulli right now?
- 58:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean to me, I get I mean, if
- 58:42Speaker 3: I'm going off top baby faces, it's Swerve and Ospray
- 58:44Speaker 3: and Swerves feeding with a new a new stable that
- 58:48Speaker 3: just showed up. Ospray's you with another stable, and we
- 58:51Speaker 3: have another stable over here that basically is going up
- 58:54Speaker 3: against the upper middle card of aw right now, and
- 58:57Speaker 3: they're supposed to be the biggest storyline, so I don't
- 58:59Speaker 3: get it. So I I just assume that after this
- 59:01Speaker 3: we're moving on to bigger and better things with the
- 59:03Speaker 3: death writers other because I do feel like Moxley is
- 59:06Speaker 3: kind of running the show right now.
- 59:08Speaker 2: So with that said, we will recap review full Gear,
- 59:10Speaker 2: we will preven predictivity, we surviviseries, war games all on
- 59:14Speaker 2: our very special Thanksgiving edition of srt We'll also announce
- 59:18Speaker 2: the holiday programming schedule for everyone on next week's edition
- 59:21Speaker 2: of SRTU. We'll try to get that episode out a
- 59:24Speaker 2: little bit early because I would envision dot trene and
- 59:26Speaker 2: we'll talk about it off air. I envision that we
- 59:28Speaker 2: will be recording early next week, probably not going to
- 59:31Speaker 2: record on Thanksgiving because we'll be busy, and so we'll
- 59:34Speaker 2: try to get that out to you guys sooner rather
- 59:37Speaker 2: than later so you can enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday or

- 59:41Speaker 2: away from the family during the Thanksgiving holiday. Would that said,
