- 0:08Speaker 3: Snoopy Deagle Double Jizzle. Bang, boom, what you gonna do?
- 0:11Speaker 2: John Jay and Rich.
- 0:13Speaker 3: We're not talking about Ren 1010. We're not talking about Lassie.
- 0:16Speaker 4: It's the one and only dog, y'all.
- 0:17Speaker 3: The classy, sassy, big Snoopy Deagle Double Jizzle. In your
- 0:20Speaker 3: face to me and in the place to be. And
- 0:22Speaker 3: you're listening to John Jay and Rich. Wake your ass up.
- 0:25Speaker 3: Today is National.
- 0:27Speaker 5: Not only is it Tuesday, Taco Tuesday, but it's also
- 0:32Speaker 5: National Taco Day. Please observe accordingly. It's also National Noodle Day.
- 0:37Speaker 5: I'm talking spaghetti, ramen, egg noodles, all of the noodles. And,
- 0:41Speaker 5: John Jay, zero inbox day, which sounds like less of
- 0:44Speaker 5: a holiday and more of a nightmare for you. How
- 0:46Speaker 5: many unanswered emails currently in your inbox?
- 0:49Speaker 3: Can you let me know there?
- 0:51Speaker 6: You guys, you want to bet? Is it over 10,000
- 0:53Speaker 6: or under 10,000?
- 0:54Speaker 3: I think it's over 10,000. I think we're under. I
- 0:56Speaker 3: think we're over. Even though he's tried to clear them out. I...
- 0:59Speaker 3: I have cleared my successfully, but I'm at 3,500. I've
- 1:01Speaker 3: been in the hundreds of thousands before. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:06Speaker 6: Do you guys see this Buzzfeed article?
- 1:10Speaker 7: It's hilarious.
- 1:12Speaker 6: It's kind of like people have started realizing, am I
- 1:14Speaker 6: doing this just because this is how everyone's always done it?
- 1:17Speaker 8: What?
- 1:18Speaker 7: I don't want to do it that way.
- 1:19Speaker 6: So they put out these piece of like the things
- 1:21Speaker 6: people are doing that are, they're ditching societal norms. They
- 1:24Speaker 6: realized they never actually agreed with, for instance, Sleeping in
- 1:28Speaker 6: separate bedrooms, even if they're happily married.
- 1:30Speaker 7: It's like, why do we have to sleep in the
- 1:31Speaker 7: same bedroom? Same bed. Why do we have to sleep together?
- 1:34Speaker 3: The sleep divorce.
- 1:34Speaker 7: We've talked about that a lot.
- 1:36Speaker 6: And it's gotten so popular that like sleep divorce has
- 1:39Speaker 6: kind of become a thing. And we've heard a lot
- 1:40Speaker 6: of people say they've ditched that societal norm and it's
- 1:43Speaker 6: worked for them. So they also have chimed in with this,
- 1:47Speaker 6: not answering the phone just because it rings. Just because
- 1:51Speaker 6: you call me and I see your call doesn't necessarily mean.
- 1:54Speaker 7: I have to pick it up.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Unless you're in a place where they can see you.
- 1:57Speaker 3: That's the part that's embarrassing.
- 1:59Speaker 7: Then that would maybe just be rude.
- 2:00Speaker 3: If you're out and about.
- 2:02Speaker 7: Leaving a party without doing the 20 minute goodbye. This
- 2:05Speaker 7: is a big John Jay.
- 2:06Speaker 6: You haven't ever really conformed to that societal norm. This
- 2:09Speaker 6: is one I cannot do. I've tried to stick out
- 2:11Speaker 6: before and I just feel rude and I have to
- 2:13Speaker 6: say goodbye to everyone.
- 2:14Speaker 9: I actually just went to a wedding where the DJ
- 2:17Speaker 9: announced like, hey, like. The bride and groom are so
- 2:20Speaker 9: happy that you're here. But if they're out dancing on
- 2:22Speaker 9: the dance floor, like, just leave. Please don't come and
- 2:25Speaker 9: say bye and take them out of the moment. Yeah.
- 2:28Speaker 9: That's weird. Just leave. They're super thankful that you're here.
- 2:30Speaker 9: Send them a text tomorrow morning. But do not interrupt
- 2:33Speaker 9: the dance floor.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Wow.
- 2:35Speaker 6: That kind of makes sense because they want to keep
- 2:36Speaker 6: the flow and everyone excited.
- 2:38Speaker 3: So you have a list of things that are normal
- 2:40Speaker 3: in society, but we want to stop doing them.
- 2:42Speaker 6: There's societal norms that people have decided to ditch because
- 2:44Speaker 6: they don't agree with them anyway.
- 2:46Speaker 3: So like off the top of my head, there's one
- 2:48Speaker 3: that always bothers me and it is the one where
- 2:50Speaker 3: you have to wait for everyone to be served at
- 2:51Speaker 3: a restaurant before you eat.
- 2:52Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 2:53Speaker 3: I just want to get my food and eat.
- 2:55Speaker 10: Manners, right?
- 2:56Speaker 1: I know.
- 2:57Speaker 5: Well, I think you can say man is for all
- 2:58Speaker 5: of these things. I feel like if you ask, hey,
- 3:01Speaker 5: can I start? Most people would say yes. But what
- 3:03Speaker 5: about the person who says, no, I'm not comfortable with that.
- 3:05Speaker 5: You need to wait for it.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Well, that's usually my wife. Or if I start, she'll
- 3:09Speaker 3: be like, you can't start until you're ready. My wife says,
- 3:11Speaker 3: and I don't know if this is true. You wait
- 3:12Speaker 3: till everybody gets served for you. But if you're at
- 3:14Speaker 3: a buffet... As soon as you come back from your food,
- 3:17Speaker 3: you can go, hey, you don't have to wait for
- 3:18Speaker 3: everyone to sit down.
- 3:18Speaker 9: That makes sense.
- 3:19Speaker 11: Interesting.
- 3:19Speaker 9: I feel like if it's you and one other person,
- 3:21Speaker 9: you should probably wait until they get their food. But
- 3:23Speaker 9: if you're at like a big 15-person dinner, you might
- 3:26Speaker 9: be able to get away with it.
- 3:26Speaker 5: What about this one? When somebody asks you a question,
- 3:28Speaker 5: they just want you to say, yeah, that's great. When
- 3:30Speaker 5: they're like, hey, how are you? I just want to say, well,
- 3:33Speaker 5: my knee really hurts and I'm dead inside.
- 3:35Speaker 3: How are you?
- 3:35Speaker 7: Actually answering.
- 3:37Speaker 6: The societal norm is saying, yeah, good, but you actually
- 3:40Speaker 6: want to tell them.
- 3:40Speaker 3: They want you to hear.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Good, how are you?
- 3:42Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what they want. You want to tell them
- 3:44Speaker 3: the truth. Yeah, I want to tell them the truth.
- 3:46Speaker 6: So another one on the list is not forcing kids
- 3:49Speaker 6: to hug relatives. This is like, I'm like such a hugger,
- 3:53Speaker 6: but I also have seen this all over, like, my
- 3:56Speaker 6: Instagram algorithms and stuff like that. If like your kids
- 3:58Speaker 6: don't want to hug someone, don't make them hug someone.
- 4:00Speaker 6: And that does totally make sense to me. So the
- 4:04Speaker 6: next societal norm that people are saying we're done with,
- 4:06Speaker 6: we didn't even agree with it in the first place
- 4:08Speaker 6: was not making small talk with strangers. If I don't
- 4:10Speaker 6: want to talk to you, I'm just not going to
- 4:12Speaker 6: talk to you.
- 4:12Speaker 7: If it's awkward in the elevator.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Oh, well, I'm a big fan of that one. How
- 4:18Speaker 3: are you going to make friends if you don't talk
- 4:19Speaker 3: to strangers?
- 4:20Speaker 7: Well, sometimes those strangers, maybe those strangers don't even want
- 4:22Speaker 7: you to talk to them.
- 4:23Speaker 10: Right.
- 4:24Speaker 7: Either way.
- 4:26Speaker 6: The next one is saying no without giving a big explanation.
- 4:30Speaker 6: It's like something that's really hard for people. And that's
- 4:34Speaker 6: also something really hard for people to accept because sometimes
- 4:37Speaker 6: they're like, they just said no.
- 4:38Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:38Speaker 7: They didn't even explain why. I struggle with that. Like,
- 4:40Speaker 7: I think I deserve an explanation.
- 4:42Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 4:42Speaker 3: So you're saying that, explain that one to me.
- 4:46Speaker 6: So- There is like a phrase now that I think
- 4:49Speaker 6: is trying to help people who are trying to do this.
- 4:51Speaker 3: That it's okay to say no.
- 4:52Speaker 7: No is a complete sentence.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, okay.
- 4:55Speaker 7: So you can say.
- 4:56Speaker 6: No without going, no, because I have to go here, here,
- 4:58Speaker 6: and here. You could just say, no, I can't do that.
- 5:01Speaker 3: That's true.
- 5:01Speaker 7: And that's a hard one for people to do.
- 5:03Speaker 9: Because like, what if you don't have anything to do
- 5:05Speaker 9: and you just want to chill? Exactly. Because I get
- 5:07Speaker 9: in that and then I like start coming up with
- 5:09Speaker 9: a story that I'm going to tell them. And then
- 5:10Speaker 9: at that point, now I'm just lying to you.
- 5:12Speaker 3: You might as well just go. Exactly. Right.
- 5:16Speaker 6: So the next one is not keeping relationships with family
- 5:20Speaker 6: members just because they're family. Apparently that is a societal
- 5:23Speaker 6: norm that people say, I didn't agree with in the
- 5:25Speaker 6: first place. So if I don't want to be around you,
- 5:28Speaker 6: I don't care if you're family.
- 5:29Speaker 9: Heck yeah. I am with that one and I stand
- 5:31Speaker 9: 10 toes down on that.
- 5:32Speaker 3: I like to not have to hold the door for
- 5:34Speaker 3: someone when they're that... too uncomfortable distance far away.
- 5:37Speaker 7: And then you have to hit the little trot.
- 5:39Speaker 2: No problem.
- 5:40Speaker 3: I got to hold it in a way. Now I
- 5:41Speaker 3: look at him like, hey, hurry up a little bit
- 5:43Speaker 3: because I'm closer right now. What do you say? Hey,
- 5:45Speaker 3: no problem at all. What about this? What about when
- 5:47Speaker 3: somebody's super late and you're like, oh, no worries. There
- 5:49Speaker 3: are worries. You're 40 minutes late.
- 5:51Speaker 9: Worries.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Oh, believe me. I don't say no worries. I know
- 5:54Speaker 3: you don't. I know you don't.
- 5:55Speaker 6: John Jay makes it known that there are definitely worries.
- 6:01Speaker 6: This one is going to dinner or movies alone. It's
- 6:03Speaker 6: a societal norm to always be with someone. But if
- 6:06Speaker 6: I want to do things alone, I am doing them alone.
- 6:09Speaker 6: says these people on this BuzzFeed article. The societal norms
- 6:13Speaker 6: of people say, I know this is what people have
- 6:15Speaker 6: always done in the past, but I'm not doing it
- 6:17Speaker 6: because I didn't agree with it in the first place.
- 6:19Speaker 9: I love that. I love a good solo happy hour.
- 6:22Speaker 5: I don't like that my wife always wants to stop
- 6:24Speaker 5: and get a bottle of wine to bring to somebody's
- 6:26Speaker 5: house party. Like, if you invited us over, you'd probably
- 6:29Speaker 5: have a bottle of wine.
- 6:30Speaker 3: You'd probably don't need ours.
- 6:32Speaker 6: That's just being nice. You don't want to show up empty-handed.
- 6:36Speaker 7: What a tribute to the party.
- 6:39Speaker 3: I am the gift to your party. That was great, Kyle.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Thanks.
- 6:44Speaker 3: That was fun.
- 6:45Speaker 9: Break the norm.
- 6:45Speaker 3: What would we do without BuzzFeed? Nothing. Payton, what's the
- 7:00Speaker 3: vibe for horoscopes today?
- 7:01Speaker 9: I'm letting you know exactly what your zodiac sign does
- 7:05Speaker 9: the minute that you get left on read. If it's
- 7:07Speaker 9: your birthday today, you are a Libra. We are in
- 7:10Speaker 9: the thick of Libra season, and you share a birthday
- 7:12Speaker 9: with Addison Rae, Ronnie James, and Braxton Berrios. Kyle, you're
- 7:16Speaker 9: our Libra in the room, so I'm just going to
- 7:17Speaker 9: start off with you. Give us good Libra vibes this morning.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Okay.
- 7:20Speaker 9: So, when you guys get ghosted, It's your season, so
- 7:24Speaker 9: you don't really stress. You kind of just open up
- 7:25Speaker 9: like three other text threads with backup options who will
- 7:28Speaker 9: reply to you in under 10 seconds.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:32Speaker 7: But it is also sometimes frustrating when you don't know why.
- 7:34Speaker 9: Yeah. You're like, um.
- 7:35Speaker 7: Like no closure, but all right.
- 7:37Speaker 9: Right at 970.
- 7:38Speaker 7: Next up.
- 7:40Speaker 9: Next in line.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Thank you. Let's say hello to Nicole. Good morning, Nicole.
- 7:44Speaker 3: What's your sign?
- 7:46Speaker 9: Good morning. I'm a Gemini. All right, Nicole, when you
- 7:49Speaker 9: get left on read, you will instantly start typing out
- 7:51Speaker 9: three different paragraphs. Delete all of them and then go
- 7:54Speaker 9: and post like some chaotic thing on your story just
- 7:57Speaker 9: to see if they watched it. And when they do,
- 7:59Speaker 9: you will go back to that red text and blow
- 8:01Speaker 9: them up and let them know about themselves.
- 8:04Speaker 12: All about communication.
- 8:07Speaker 9: Exactly.
- 8:07Speaker 7: Oh, I love your little laugh.
- 8:10Speaker 3: Thanks, Nicole.
- 8:11Speaker 13: Have a nice day.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Bye.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Hello, Emily. What's your sign?
- 8:16Speaker 14: I am a Pisces.
- 8:17Speaker 9: Okay, Pisces. Rich is also our Pisces in the room.
- 8:21Speaker 9: So when you guys get left on read, you will
- 8:23Speaker 9: make up a story for them where maybe they lost
- 8:26Speaker 9: their phone in the ocean. Maybe they got in an
- 8:28Speaker 9: accident and they lost their memory. Or maybe they secretly
- 8:31Speaker 9: joined a cult. You are making up any and every
- 8:33Speaker 9: excuse on why they left you on read.
- 8:37Speaker 5: Emily, I don't know about you, but I do that
- 8:38Speaker 5: when I leave people's voicemail when they're not picking up
- 8:40Speaker 5: the phone. You must be taking a nap or maybe
- 8:43Speaker 5: you're in Asia today.
- 8:44Speaker 9: Yeah, you just make things up to make yourself feel better.
- 8:47Speaker 3: How about Leos?
- 8:48Speaker 9: Yeah, I'm a Leo, us Leos. When we get left
- 8:51Speaker 9: on read, we will gasp out loud, double check our
- 8:54Speaker 9: hair in the front facing camera, and then post a
- 8:56Speaker 9: selfie two minutes later to remind them what they are ignoring.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Okay. Let me guess Virgos real quick. When I get
- 9:03Speaker 3: left on read, and you're talking about a text, right?
- 9:06Speaker 3: And for some reason, that's a feature some people have
- 9:08Speaker 3: on their phone, which I don't understand why you have it.
- 9:10Speaker 9: I turn mine off.
- 9:11Speaker 3: I was going to say, so do I. But so
- 9:12Speaker 3: I have this friend of mine, I can see when
- 9:14Speaker 3: he reads stuff. And sometimes he'll, it'll say red and
- 9:17Speaker 3: he hasn't responded. And I have this immediate, like for
- 9:20Speaker 3: a second, it's like, did I do something wrong? And
- 9:23Speaker 3: then it's like, why wouldn't he respond? Like what's up?
- 9:27Speaker 3: And I get like a little irritated and then I
- 9:29Speaker 3: move on because then usually he just texts me something else.
- 9:31Speaker 10: Right.
- 9:32Speaker 3: But so there's that, but then the people that leave
- 9:33Speaker 3: you on delivered or it's, but you know, they, I
- 9:36Speaker 3: know they saw this text. It's been three days. It's
- 9:39Speaker 3: been three days. You son of a, so, so what,
- 9:42Speaker 3: what do Virgos do?
- 9:43Speaker 9: Well, Virgos, when you guys get left on read, you're
- 9:46Speaker 9: going to go and check their activity status across all
- 9:49Speaker 9: of the apps that you follow them on. You're going
- 9:51Speaker 9: to calculate how long it's been down to the exact minute.
- 9:55Speaker 9: And if they don't respond to you, you have completely
- 9:57Speaker 9: filed them away under unreliable and unreliable.
- 10:00Speaker 7: Unfriendly.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Interesting. I'm not that into it, but I will explain myself.
- 10:06Speaker 3: If you missed your sign there, I'll post it on
- 10:08Speaker 3: our website, johnjainrich.com. Isn't the view spectacular? 104.7 KISS FM,
- 10:17Speaker 3: John Jane Rich.
- 10:19Speaker 12: Olivia.
- 10:20Speaker 15: Yes.
- 10:21Speaker 3: We're going to play a little game here where you
- 10:22Speaker 3: can win a prize.
- 10:24Speaker 8: Yay.
- 10:24Speaker 3: How much is the prize, Rich?
- 10:26Speaker 5: I think it's $ 250, isn't it?
- 10:28Speaker 3: $ 250, Olivia, if you watch The Voice.
- 10:29Speaker 5: Well, The Voice continues tonight at 7 on NBC12 News.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Okay, Olivia.
- 10:34Speaker 5: So when you go to a sporting event, sometimes teams,
- 10:37Speaker 5: they're going to reward you with a T-shirt. They shoot
- 10:39Speaker 5: them out of a cannon. Coach Riley Green, he's got
- 10:42Speaker 5: his own take on how to reward the live audience
- 10:44Speaker 5: with voice T-shirts. How does he do it?
- 10:51Speaker 13: Oh, I think he actually casts out like a fishing
- 10:55Speaker 13: line or something like that.
- 10:56Speaker 3: Well, that is correct.
- 10:57Speaker 8: You win.
- 10:58Speaker 3: Yeah. Good job, Olivia.
- 11:01Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 11:02Speaker 5: Boy, Best Voice wins. The winning musician, Queen Latifah, Riley Green,
- 11:06Speaker 5: they join Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine as coaches for
- 11:09Speaker 5: the milestone 30th season of the award-winning musical competition series,
- 11:14Speaker 5: The Voice. It continues tonight on NBC12 News.
- 11:18Speaker 3: Congratulations, Olivia.
- 11:19Speaker 16: Yay.
- 11:20Speaker 8: Thank you.
- 11:21Speaker 13: Thank you to you guys, and thank you to The Voice.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Karen, good morning.
- 11:28Speaker 17: Good morning.
- 11:29Speaker 3: So, Karen, just to remind everyone, because I know you're
- 11:33Speaker 3: the person that had a, you were like, I'm debating
- 11:36Speaker 3: whether I should post this video or not. And it's
- 11:38Speaker 3: because you're a photographer, and there was a woman that
- 11:41Speaker 3: wanted to spread her aunt's, your aunt's ashes, right?
- 11:45Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 11:46Speaker 3: On a horse.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Yes.
- 11:47Speaker 3: And you filmed it. And by the way, the film
- 11:49Speaker 3: quality was amazing. You posted it. We reposted it on
- 11:53Speaker 3: our stories. I guess you're calling for an update. What's
- 11:56Speaker 3: the latest?
- 11:57Speaker 4: Not much except for the fact that I did have
- 12:00Speaker 4: a sequel. It was my 85-year-old mother that picked up
- 12:04Speaker 4: the bag of ashes that had fallen into the field.
- 12:08Speaker 4: And she picked it up and she decided to spread
- 12:10Speaker 4: the rest of them. And it looks like a scene from,
- 12:13Speaker 4: I don't know, a mix between the sound of music
- 12:17Speaker 4: and the scene in the proposal.
- 12:19Speaker 3: Is she dancing around with the ashes? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 12:22Speaker 12: So she's doing it.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Twirling?
- 12:25Speaker 12: Yes, the whole nine.
- 12:26Speaker 4: And most people actually think that that's actually funnier than
- 12:30Speaker 4: the original video.
- 12:33Speaker 3: So how did the video, because you did post it,
- 12:35Speaker 3: how did the original video do as far as likes
- 12:38Speaker 3: and views go?
- 12:39Speaker 14: Oh, I think it's viral.
- 12:40Speaker 18: I think there's Oh, gosh.
- 12:42Speaker 12: I think it was like 200 and something thousand.
- 12:45Speaker 9: Yeah, I just pulled it up. There's 218,000 views and
- 12:49Speaker 9: almost 11,000 likes and 5,000 shares.
- 12:51Speaker 5: Karen, if I'm your aunt, I would love that my
- 12:55Speaker 5: ashes did so much comedy for people.
- 12:58Speaker 12: Oh, for sure. And generally, like most of the comments...
- 13:02Speaker 12: are you know like i'm sorry for your loss but
- 13:05Speaker 12: that's really super funny like i mean people at least
- 13:09Speaker 12: have a sense of humor about it you.
- 13:10Speaker 7: Know yeah which is what you said your aunt would
- 13:12Speaker 7: have wanted oh.
- 13:14Speaker 12: She probably did it like she was she had a hand.
- 13:17Speaker 9: In it oh my gosh the comments are hilarious like
- 13:21Speaker 9: what like the horse is like if you miss her
- 13:25Speaker 9: so much go be with her The horse is like,
- 13:28Speaker 9: there's a ghost chasing me.
- 13:30Speaker 3: Yeah. Do you have the second part of the video
- 13:34Speaker 3: that you talked about with your mom where she's spreading
- 13:35Speaker 3: the rest?
- 13:37Speaker 12: Yeah, it's up on there as well.
- 13:38Speaker 3: Oh, it is?
- 13:39Speaker 12: You know, the funny thing is that I have another
- 13:41Speaker 12: video up there. It's a tearjerker one, but it's of
- 13:44Speaker 12: her as well. For some reason, TikTok loves my mother.
- 13:48Speaker 12: But anyway, it was with her being reunited with her
- 13:52Speaker 12: horse and It's gone two point something million.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Wow.
- 13:56Speaker 11: Wow.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:57Speaker 3: We're going to repost. We're going to repost both of
- 13:58Speaker 3: them on our stories. Okay.
- 14:00Speaker 8: Oh, that's awesome.
- 14:01Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 14:02Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 14:02Speaker 11: They love her.
- 14:03Speaker 3: All right, Karen. Thanks for calling in for the update.
- 14:06Speaker 12: No problem. You guys have a great day.
- 14:08Speaker 3: If you want to see the horse that bucked the
- 14:11Speaker 3: woman off as she was spreading ashes, it's hilarious. It's
- 14:15Speaker 3: going to be in our stories with all the other
- 14:16Speaker 3: ones that John Jane rich on Instagram.
- 14:21Speaker 14: Good morning.
- 14:22Speaker 3: I wake up with my favorite artist.
- 14:24Speaker 17: Hey, this is Sabrina Carpenter.
- 14:26Speaker 3: What's up, guys?
- 14:26Speaker 8: This is Post Malone.
- 14:27Speaker 7: It's Benson Boone, and you're waking up with John Jay
- 14:30Speaker 7: and Rich.
- 14:30Speaker 3: All right, it's time for Stacks and Hacks. I have
- 14:37Speaker 3: stacks of information. Rich has life hacks. What would you do?
- 14:42Speaker 3: If you went to the ATM, saw a bag on
- 14:44Speaker 3: top of the ATM machine, grabbed the bag, you're like, oh,
- 14:45Speaker 3: what's this about? And inside the bag was $ 128, 000. Oh,
- 14:48Speaker 3: that's a lot. Wow, wow, wow. And also not your money.
- 14:53Speaker 3: That happened to a guy. He found it on top
- 14:56Speaker 3: of a Bank of America ATM. And he thought there
- 14:59Speaker 3: was a Chick-fil-A down the street. He goes, this probably
- 15:01Speaker 3: belongs to Chick-fil-A. So he took it to Chick-fil-A. And
- 15:03Speaker 3: the Chick-fil-A manager goes, it's not ours. Which is, Interesting, too,
- 15:07Speaker 3: because I'd be like, yeah, yeah, sure, leave it there. Anyway.
- 15:10Speaker 3: Right into the bank where the ATM is? No, I
- 15:12Speaker 3: don't know what happened. It's got to be from Chick-fil-A. Anyway,
- 15:16Speaker 3: he turned it in.
- 15:17Speaker 5: Oh.
- 15:18Speaker 9: That's good karma.
- 15:18Speaker 7: Good for him.
- 15:19Speaker 9: I hope whoever, you know, left that money gave him
- 15:22Speaker 9: a little bit of cash just for a thank you.
- 15:24Speaker 3: Investigators think a Brinks technician serviced the ATM, was supposed
- 15:28Speaker 3: to take the money, but left it by the machine.
- 15:30Speaker 7: I bet you that was, he got in big trouble
- 15:33Speaker 7: later that day.
- 15:34Speaker 9: He's lucky that they kept that.
- 15:36Speaker 3: This happened in Arizona, by the way, and I've been
- 15:38Speaker 3: watching this story and watching this story and hoping to
- 15:41Speaker 3: get some sort of update. There's no update. This happened
- 15:44Speaker 3: a couple of days ago in Gilbert on Lindsay and Guadalupe.
- 15:48Speaker 3: There was an emu stuck in a canal. Oh, I
- 15:51Speaker 3: saw that. A giant emu. And the cops caught the emu.
- 15:55Speaker 3: And then put it in the back of their car
- 15:57Speaker 3: and took it to an animal rescue place. They don't
- 15:58Speaker 3: know whose emu it is. They still don't know.
- 16:01Speaker 7: They don't tag them like doggies?
- 16:03Speaker 8: No.
- 16:04Speaker 3: It's not chipped.
- 16:04Speaker 5: And you know that cop that was like his first
- 16:06Speaker 5: day on training on the job?
- 16:08Speaker 3: Oh, really?
- 16:08Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 16:09Speaker 3: He goes, oh, my gosh, not what I thought I'd
- 16:11Speaker 3: be doing today.
- 16:11Speaker 5: Because I think some nice bystanders were able to get
- 16:15Speaker 5: the emu out of the drain.
- 16:18Speaker 3: They had the body cam footage of the cops getting
- 16:20Speaker 3: it out of there. It's pretty wild. I watched it.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Have you guys heard about boomers hoarding jobs?
- 16:24Speaker 1: No.
- 16:25Speaker 3: Neither do me.
- 16:25Speaker 7: Hoarding jobs.
- 16:26Speaker 3: I guess there's boomers or hoarding jobs. Gen Z wants
- 16:28Speaker 3: millennials to retire so they can have their jobs.
- 16:31Speaker 7: Millennials to retire?
- 16:32Speaker 3: I guess. Old enough to retire. Where is the germiest
- 16:37Speaker 3: place you go without realizing it?
- 16:39Speaker 9: Port-a-potties. Well, I guess you realize that that's germy.
- 16:41Speaker 3: You know that is. I would say. I think you'd
- 16:44Speaker 3: be very surprised by this answer. I would say the
- 16:46Speaker 3: grocery store, like wherever you press buttons.
- 16:47Speaker 7: That's kind of what I was thinking.
- 16:48Speaker 9: Close.
- 16:49Speaker 3: The germiest place you go without realizing a new report
- 16:52Speaker 3: says it's the pharmacy, especially the ones in stores like
- 16:54Speaker 3: CVS or Walgreens where many people are sick and touching everything.
- 16:58Speaker 6: I think about that every time I walk by a pharmacy. Like,
- 17:01Speaker 6: I have to hold my breath.
- 17:02Speaker 3: Yeah. The dating app Upward, never heard of it, but
- 17:06Speaker 3: it's called Upward, has a new feature where it's called
- 17:08Speaker 3: chivalry mode. It's for women who don't want to make
- 17:11Speaker 3: the first move. There's also a marriage timeline which lets
- 17:14Speaker 3: you suggest a proposed wedding date.
- 17:16Speaker 7: Whoa.
- 17:17Speaker 3: Ridiculous. A little aggressive. A 26-year-old guy in Georgia was
- 17:20Speaker 3: arrested last week after he faked a medical emergency and
- 17:22Speaker 3: called 911 to avoid pain for his red lobster. I
- 17:26Speaker 3: saw that. He owed $ 63, thought his illness would get
- 17:28Speaker 3: him out of it. Ridiculous. Researchers just looked at breakfast
- 17:32Speaker 3: times of more than 31,000 adults, and they found that
- 17:34Speaker 3: the healthiest time to eat your first meal was between
- 17:37Speaker 3: 7 and 8 a.m. People who waited until noon to
- 17:41Speaker 3: eat breakfast had a 29% higher risk of death.
- 17:44Speaker 4: What?
- 17:45Speaker 7: Oh, my gosh.
- 17:46Speaker 3: I don't eat until 1. Get your eggs in. I'm
- 17:47Speaker 3: out of that window, I think. A poll asked people
- 17:50Speaker 3: who say they've seen spirits or ghosts, if they believe
- 17:53Speaker 3: they were good or evil. That's a good question. 35%
- 17:58Speaker 3: of people think the spirits or ghosts were good. 5%
- 18:01Speaker 3: said they were evil. Most people say neutral. They've seen
- 18:06Speaker 3: a mix of good and bad. A neutral ghost.
- 18:07Speaker 7: Yeah, I feel like I have seen both.
- 18:09Speaker 8: Really?
- 18:09Speaker 3: You have? Cause you had that one. It was like
- 18:11Speaker 3: your alarm clock or whatever. All that.
- 18:13Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 18:13Speaker 6: I didn't see that, but I did hear that one,
- 18:15Speaker 6: but I did see a different, very evil one.
- 18:18Speaker 3: Yeah. And this is a fun one to wrap up
- 18:20Speaker 3: my part of stacks and hacks. If the monopoly properties
- 18:24Speaker 3: were adjusted based on today's prices. Okay. What do you
- 18:28Speaker 3: think is the lowest? What do you think is the highest,
- 18:30Speaker 3: most expensive property? Baltic would probably be the lowest. Mediterranean
- 18:34Speaker 3: Avenue would be the lowest. Hmm. That's the light blue one.
- 18:37Speaker 18: The first one.
- 18:38Speaker 3: No, that's what do you think could be the most
- 18:39Speaker 3: expensive park place? Boardwalk and Park Place would not be
- 18:43Speaker 3: the most expensive. It would fall to sixth. The most
- 18:46Speaker 3: expensive rent would be Marvin Gardens, one of the yellows,
- 18:50Speaker 3: followed by Pacific Avenue, a green, Connecticut Avenue, the light blue-gray,
- 18:54Speaker 3: Virginia Avenue, purple, and North Carolina Avenue, which is green.
- 18:57Speaker 3: Because of all the gentrification and monopoly? Connecticut.
- 19:01Speaker 7: The light blue, that surprises me. That's one of the
- 19:03Speaker 7: cheapest ones.
- 19:04Speaker 3: What do you got for life hacks, Rich?
- 19:06Speaker 5: Well, if you're constantly forgetting the little things that you
- 19:08Speaker 5: need to get done. Anybody like that?
- 19:09Speaker 3: Yeah. You forgot the little things?
- 19:11Speaker 5: Well, experts say, you know, there is a really good
- 19:14Speaker 5: way to do this, and you should kind of do
- 19:16Speaker 5: it every day. So write your list in the Notes app.
- 19:21Speaker 5: Take a screenshot and make that picture of your phone's
- 19:24Speaker 5: lock screen. So now every time you grab your phone,
- 19:27Speaker 5: there it is. Return the package, grab the dog food,
- 19:29Speaker 5: call the dentist, whatever. You keep forgetting. And as you
- 19:31Speaker 5: knock things out, you can update the screenshot automatically. But
- 19:34Speaker 5: there's something weirdly satisfying about watching that list disappear. Your
- 19:38Speaker 5: phone actually distracts you.
- 19:39Speaker 3: All day anyway.
- 19:40Speaker 5: Might as well make it remind you of something useful.
- 19:43Speaker 5: That life hack and many more can be found at JohnGeneRich.com.
- 19:46Speaker 3: All right, we're getting ready for second date update. Fiona,
- 19:49Speaker 3: what's a little bit going on? on in your dating world?
- 19:51Speaker 13: I don't even want to go on another date with
- 19:53Speaker 13: this guy, but I do want to know why he's
- 19:56Speaker 13: ghosting me. I just want to understand why he doesn't
- 20:00Speaker 13: want to go on another date with me.
- 20:01Speaker 3: All right, you got it. We'll find out why. We'll
- 20:03Speaker 3: get him on the phone. Let's hear your story. We'll
- 20:04Speaker 3: hear about the date and find out why he's pulling
- 20:06Speaker 3: you off. Second date update starts next with John Jay
- 20:08Speaker 3: and Rich. These beautiful things that I've got. It's time
- 20:11Speaker 3: for second date update. You meet somebody on an app,
- 20:15Speaker 3: a church, a bar, through your parents. However, you go
- 20:18Speaker 3: on a date with them. You have a great time.
- 20:19Speaker 3: You expect there to be a second date and there
- 20:21Speaker 3: isn't one. And you don't know why you haven't got
- 20:23Speaker 3: called for the second date. So you come to us.
- 20:25Speaker 3: We're going to find out why. Let us say hello
- 20:27Speaker 3: to Fiona. Good morning, Fiona. Welcome to second date update,
- 20:30Speaker 3: John Jay and Rich.
- 20:31Speaker 8: Good morning.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Hi. Hi.
- 20:32Speaker 3: What's your story?
- 20:34Speaker 8: Okay.
- 20:34Speaker 13: So I went on this date with this guy and
- 20:37Speaker 13: now he's completely ghosting me. And I mean, at this point,
- 20:41Speaker 13: I am honestly just like more confused than her because
- 20:45Speaker 13: I don't really understand why he would ghost me because
- 20:48Speaker 13: I paid for the entire dinner, like the entire meal
- 20:52Speaker 13: I paid for. And I felt like I was the
- 20:54Speaker 13: one that was carrying on the conversation the entire time,
- 20:56Speaker 13: like almost to the level where I felt like I
- 20:59Speaker 13: was an interviewer and he was like a candidate, like
- 21:01Speaker 13: at a job or something. And I was asking all
- 21:04Speaker 13: the questions and I was trying to keep it fun,
- 21:07Speaker 13: make sure there weren't awkward silences. And like, I just
- 21:10Speaker 13: feel like I did the heavy, heavy lifting. And I
- 21:13Speaker 13: didn't even think the date was even that bad. Like
- 21:15Speaker 13: even with me doing all that work, I felt like, okay,
- 21:18Speaker 13: this like still isn't bad, but now I'm sitting here like,
- 21:21Speaker 13: why would you be ghosting me after I fed you
- 21:25Speaker 13: and like entertained you for like over two hours? I
- 21:28Speaker 13: just think that's actually insane behavior. So I just want
- 21:32Speaker 13: to know what happened at this point. And it's less
- 21:34Speaker 13: about like getting another date and more about just like,
- 21:36Speaker 13: I don't know, the like audacity.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Of this man. He should be wanting to get a
- 21:42Speaker 3: second date with you. Yeah.
- 21:44Speaker 14: I mean, that's what I thought.
- 21:45Speaker 13: I was like, I think I'm a great date. So
- 21:47Speaker 13: I'm just really confused.
- 21:48Speaker 3: Did the date end with any kind of romance or
- 21:50Speaker 3: make out session or anything?
- 21:52Speaker 13: Um, definitely not like a makeout, but I definitely thought
- 21:55Speaker 13: that we like held eye contact really well, especially at
- 21:58Speaker 13: the end. So I felt kind of this like lingering thing.
- 22:00Speaker 13: I was like, okay, well maybe he's just shy and he,
- 22:04Speaker 13: you know, is trying to be respectful, which I actually
- 22:07Speaker 13: really liked.
- 22:08Speaker 3: Was there anything like, you know, at the end of
- 22:09Speaker 3: the day, like, Hey, did he text you to make
- 22:12Speaker 3: sure you got home safe? Was there any caring at all?
- 22:14Speaker 13: He didn't text me, but again, I felt like Maybe
- 22:17Speaker 13: he's trying not to come on too strong because he
- 22:19Speaker 13: really did like me. I was feeling like we had
- 22:23Speaker 13: vibes during.
- 22:24Speaker 14: The date, so I was just kind of confused.
- 22:26Speaker 3: I hope that's not.
- 22:27Speaker 9: His MO, just going on dates just to get a
- 22:30Speaker 9: free meal. How did you end up paying for the meal?
- 22:33Speaker 9: That's wild. Did he forget his card or were you like, oh,
- 22:36Speaker 9: I got it? Because I don't think I would be
- 22:38Speaker 9: down to pay for a first date.
- 22:39Speaker 13: I wouldn't, but I felt like he went to the
- 22:42Speaker 13: bathroom right before dinner. the check came and I felt
- 22:45Speaker 13: like he was kind of gone for a little bit.
- 22:47Speaker 13: So I was like, you know what? I'll get this
- 22:48Speaker 13: first one. Maybe he will think that that's like nice
- 22:51Speaker 13: or cute or something. Cause I'm sure he's so used
- 22:53Speaker 13: to like paying for meals. I would think that was
- 22:57Speaker 13: like kind of cute and cheeky, but he didn't even
- 23:00Speaker 13: really thank me. He just kind of.
- 23:02Speaker 3: That's weird.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:04Speaker 13: It got weird.
- 23:04Speaker 3: You think something happened when he was gone to go
- 23:06Speaker 3: to the bathroom?
- 23:08Speaker 13: I don't know. I just, like, well, then I was, like, well,
- 23:10Speaker 13: maybe he's, like, sick. Maybe he doesn't, like, feel super great.
- 23:12Speaker 13: I don't know. It was so long. I was just, like, okay,
- 23:14Speaker 13: at this point, I'm just going to pay for it. And,
- 23:15Speaker 13: I mean, if I was a man, I would think
- 23:18Speaker 13: that that was, like, nice and.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Like, sweet.
- 23:19Speaker 3: For sure. I wouldn't. That would bother me. That would
- 23:21Speaker 3: bother me. Maybe that's it. Maybe that's it. Maybe it's, like,
- 23:24Speaker 3: you took away his chivalry.
- 23:25Speaker 6: Why would he leave right at that time conveniently?
- 23:28Speaker 9: And also, like, if you come back and you realize
- 23:30Speaker 9: your date picked up the tab, like, hey, what's your Venmo?
- 23:33Speaker 3: Can I split it?
- 23:34Speaker 9: Or at least.
- 23:35Speaker 3: Thank you. Yeah.
- 23:36Speaker 9: Or at least. That was really nice of you.
- 23:38Speaker 3: Maybe he was humiliated. Maybe he comes from a culture
- 23:40Speaker 3: where that's not cool. I remember going to dinner with
- 23:43Speaker 3: a guy from another country. Two different guys from two
- 23:45Speaker 3: different countries. And it's their culture where they pick up
- 23:48Speaker 3: the tab. And if you don't, they get so pissed
- 23:50Speaker 3: off and insulted.
- 23:51Speaker 7: Well, I want to hang out with them.
- 23:53Speaker 3: All right. What's his name, Fiona?
- 23:55Speaker 13: William.
- 23:56Speaker 3: Okay. We're going to call William. We're going to find
- 23:57Speaker 3: out why he's blowing you off. Second Aid Update continues
- 24:00Speaker 3: next with John Jane Rich.
- 24:05Speaker 5: This is the story of Fiona and William. The romantic
- 24:10Speaker 5: comedy that never was. Why would a guy ghost Fiona,
- 24:15Speaker 5: especially when she paid for the entire night?
- 24:19Speaker 3: She did all the talking. She asked questions.
- 24:21Speaker 5: She brought the entertainment. She gave, as she says, good date.
- 24:26Speaker 5: But he is not responding at all. The Vibe Check.
- 24:31Speaker 5: The Second Date Update. Starts right now.
- 24:34Speaker 3: You know, it's interesting. Before you patch them through, I
- 24:37Speaker 3: keep thinking Princess Fiona. Isn't that Shrek?
- 24:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:40Speaker 3: And there's a Prince William. A real one. We got
- 24:43Speaker 3: a little Prince action going on here.
- 24:45Speaker 7: Very royal.
- 24:46Speaker 3: Anyway, Fiona, are you ready?
- 24:47Speaker 13: Yes, I'm so ready to find out.
- 24:49Speaker 3: All right. Patch them through. He's cool to go on
- 24:51Speaker 3: the air. Hold on a second.
- 24:52Speaker 11: Hey, William.
- 24:53Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 24:54Speaker 3: Hey, you're cool jumping on the air with us real quick, right?
- 24:57Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 24:57Speaker 3: Okay, so listen. We're talking to Fiona. She says you're
- 25:01Speaker 3: ghosting her. You went on a date. She asked us
- 25:05Speaker 3: to find out why. I thought we'd just kind of
- 25:06Speaker 3: get to it. Why are you blowing her off? What happened?
- 25:08Speaker 3: What are we missing here? Dude, she's like 6'3, man. Like,
- 25:13Speaker 3: she's the jolly green giant. I'm 5'11 1⁄2, and I
- 25:17Speaker 3: showed up and immediately was like, absolutely not. Like, I've
- 25:21Speaker 3: never climbed a tree before, and I'm not going to
- 25:23Speaker 3: start now. Like, dude, the whole time she just kept talking,
- 25:26Speaker 3: and I'm just sitting there thinking, how the f * * *
- 25:29Speaker 3: did you leave 6'3 out of the conversation? Like, I
- 25:34Speaker 3: like my girls little. I want to look down. I
- 25:36Speaker 3: don't want to be making.
- 25:37Speaker 14: Eye contact with your collarbone.
- 25:39Speaker 1: She's kind of a cool girl or whatever.
- 25:41Speaker 14: But, like, I'm not trying to date someone who can
- 25:43Speaker 14: get things off the top shelf for me.
- 25:45Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying?
- 25:46Speaker 9: Oh, my God.
- 25:47Speaker 13: You talk about short man syndrome.
- 25:50Speaker 12: William, you are pathetic.
- 25:52Speaker 14: So pathetic.
- 25:53Speaker 8: Oh, my God.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Of course she's on the phone. All right.
- 25:56Speaker 15: Yeah, I'm on the phone, dipshit.
- 25:57Speaker 13: You had no problem sitting across from my 6'3 ass
- 26:00Speaker 13: when I was paying for your dinner.
- 26:03Speaker 12: Can I not like tall girls?
- 26:04Speaker 3: Is that illegal now?
- 26:06Speaker 13: You can like whoever the f * * * you want. Just, like,
- 26:08Speaker 13: don't be a d * * * about it.
- 26:09Speaker 3: Fair. I'm not being a d * * * about it.
- 26:11Speaker 3: I'm just saying you're taller than me. That's not what
- 26:14Speaker 3: I'm into.
- 26:16Speaker 13: You literally just called me the Jolly Green Giant. Like,
- 26:18Speaker 13: that's not a preference. Like, that's you just being, like,
- 26:21Speaker 13: a loser.
- 26:22Speaker 14: Okay, well, you also never told me you're 6'3.
- 26:24Speaker 13: Was I supposed to send you my, like, stats.
- 26:28Speaker 14: Before the date?
- 26:29Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean, if you play in the WNBA, yeah.
- 26:32Speaker 3: A heads up.
- 26:34Speaker 13: Would have been nice. You are 5'11 1⁄2. Also, the
- 26:37Speaker 13: fact that you keep including the half tells me everything.
- 26:43Speaker 12: I need to know about you.
- 26:46Speaker 7: Because I am.
- 26:47Speaker 8: 5'11 1⁄2.
- 26:48Speaker 14: Oh, my God. Congratulations. Congratulations.
- 26:51Speaker 13: Put it on your booster seat next time you go
- 26:53Speaker 13: to a restaurant.
- 26:54Speaker 3: See, now you're making fun of me in my height.
- 26:57Speaker 5: Have you stopped growing? Do you think there's a chance
- 27:00Speaker 5: you might hit a growth spurt there, William?
- 27:01Speaker 3: Maybe catch up? I mean, it's possible.
- 27:03Speaker 12: Anything's possible.
- 27:04Speaker 7: I don't know, William.
- 27:05Speaker 9: It just seems like you can definitely have a preference
- 27:08Speaker 9: by all means, but like.
- 27:10Speaker 8: Yeah, that's just another holiday.
- 27:11Speaker 9: I mean, but like you can communicate about it or
- 27:14Speaker 9: like in the middle of the date, you know what
- 27:15Speaker 9: I mean? At least try to engage in the conversation
- 27:18Speaker 9: because what Fiona was telling us was that she was
- 27:19Speaker 9: carrying the whole thing.
- 27:20Speaker 6: Also, I think if like you weren't planning on having
- 27:23Speaker 6: another date, at least paying for half of the meal
- 27:26Speaker 6: or thanking her for the meal, that would be one thing.
- 27:28Speaker 7: I was like, oh, okay.
- 27:30Speaker 6: He doesn't know she's on the phone and he's saying
- 27:32Speaker 6: all these things. But then you know she was on
- 27:34Speaker 6: the phone and then you kept saying all the things.
- 27:36Speaker 7: So I was like, there's no really excuse for you.
- 27:39Speaker 7: You just are kind of... Not that nice.
- 27:42Speaker 3: I mean, she just whipped out the credit card, and
- 27:44Speaker 3: I was like, all right, well, I'm not going to
- 27:46Speaker 3: stop her, you know?
- 27:47Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 27:48Speaker 3: But at the same time, like, she knows.
- 27:52Speaker 12: She knows she's, you know, like, an NBA player.
- 27:56Speaker 14: Like, she should.
- 27:58Speaker 3: She should warn you? Why?
- 28:00Speaker 11: If I had.
- 28:01Speaker 3: Some physical abnormality. I might. What? Abnormality?
- 28:05Speaker 12: Yeah, it's abnormal for a woman to be 6'3. Now
- 28:09Speaker 12: that's ridiculous.
- 28:10Speaker 3: If you're saying that's normal.
- 28:11Speaker 9: Okay, now you sound.
- 28:12Speaker 3: You're saying you're going to go with that's normal.
- 28:13Speaker 15: There's a bunch of you Amazonians walking around.
- 28:16Speaker 1: I don't think so.
- 28:17Speaker 6: See, it's like you can't even like him a little bit.
- 28:21Speaker 9: Also, I know plenty of people that love a stallion. So,
- 28:25Speaker 9: I mean, obviously, like, I mean, Fiona, he's not the
- 28:28Speaker 9: one for you. I feel like his insecurities are probably
- 28:30Speaker 9: definitely coming out.
- 28:32Speaker 3: Yeah, our phone's going to blow up for Fiona, first
- 28:34Speaker 3: of all.
- 28:34Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 28:34Speaker 3: She's tall. She's pretty. And she pays for dinner. It's
- 28:37Speaker 3: going to never stop. Also, though, his whole personality is
- 28:41Speaker 3: rubbing me the wrong way. But if you strip apart
- 28:43Speaker 3: the personality... I could see how in the conversation before
- 28:47Speaker 3: the date, it should be mentioned that, by the way,
- 28:49Speaker 3: like if he was 5'2, if he was a short
- 28:52Speaker 3: guy and you're going, hey, by the way, I'm whatever.
- 28:56Speaker 3: I think height comes up a lot on everything. So
- 28:59Speaker 3: I would think that it should have come up.
- 29:00Speaker 12: If I showed up in a wheelchair, you'd be like,
- 29:02Speaker 12: why didn't you mention this?
- 29:03Speaker 3: At the same time, I don't know, Fiona, are you
- 29:04Speaker 3: at all insecure about your height? You could be. I'm
- 29:07Speaker 3: not saying you should be, but are you?
- 29:09Speaker 8: No, I'm not.
- 29:10Speaker 13: And I actually feel like a lot of men like it.
- 29:13Speaker 13: Even men that are, like, I've dated men that are 5'10, 5'11.
- 29:15Speaker 17: Right.
- 29:15Speaker 13: Probably the shortest they go is, like, probably 5'9, if
- 29:18Speaker 13: he's amazing. But, yeah, I've dated men. They love it.
- 29:21Speaker 13: And they think I'm hot. And I'm, like, a model.
- 29:23Speaker 13: I get it. At least that's what they've said.
- 29:25Speaker 5: They, like, love it.
- 29:26Speaker 14: So he should be secure.
- 29:27Speaker 3: I would just think that it would come up in
- 29:29Speaker 3: a conversation before the date. But I can't.
- 29:32Speaker 8: Like.
- 29:33Speaker 9: Unless Fiona assumes that William's.
- 29:35Speaker 3: Like five short kings at five eight no also calling
- 29:38Speaker 3: you a short king at five i don't think 5
- 29:39Speaker 3: 11 is short at all 5 11 and a half
- 29:41Speaker 3: but when you're 6 3 i can see it but.
- 29:43Speaker 9: He's giving that energy you.
- 29:45Speaker 3: Know i know so at any rate she wanted to
- 29:47Speaker 3: know why you're blowing her off she didn't want a
- 29:49Speaker 3: second date with you she just want to know so
- 29:51Speaker 3: fiona you got the answer he's insecure about your height it's.
- 29:54Speaker 13: Not you I got it, and I'm glad I know now.
- 29:58Speaker 13: And I think everybody here knows now, and you're a loser.
- 30:01Speaker 3: It's not like he's a nice guy, and she's too tall.
- 30:04Speaker 3: It's not like he's a nice guy going, she's just
- 30:08Speaker 3: too tall for me. It's like he's saying she's too tall,
- 30:12Speaker 3: and he's rude about it.
- 30:13Speaker 7: In like a mean way, yeah.
- 30:16Speaker 3: All right, William, thanks for jumping on the air with us. Fiona,
- 30:18Speaker 3: we will find you a tall person if you want.
- 30:21Speaker 3: We can find you great people. I would love that.
- 30:24Speaker 19: Thank you.
- 30:24Speaker 3: All right. We'll hold on to that. That's Second Aid Update,
- 30:27Speaker 3: you guys. John G. and Rich. Oh, man. Second Aid
- 30:33Speaker 3: Update is a phone burner. Kim, good morning. Your thoughts? Oh,
- 30:39Speaker 3: my gosh.
- 30:39Speaker 11: That guy fired me up.
- 30:41Speaker 3: Right.
- 30:41Speaker 11: He's a complete douchebag. I don't know if I can
- 30:44Speaker 11: say that, but.
- 30:45Speaker 14: Sure.
- 30:45Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 30:46Speaker 11: If he was not interested, he should have just said
- 30:49Speaker 11: something right away. He didn't have to be rude and say, well,
- 30:52Speaker 11: you're too tall for me. But he could have just said,
- 30:54Speaker 11: you know what, I'm not feeling it. Thanks for meeting me,
- 30:57Speaker 11: but I'm going to go. Or if he was thinking, hey,
- 31:02Speaker 11: I'll just stay and eat with her, pay for your meal.
- 31:06Speaker 11: Or be a gentleman and pay for her, too. But, oh,
- 31:09Speaker 11: my gosh, to bring her on that way, not say anything,
- 31:11Speaker 11: and then the way he talked about her, well.
- 31:14Speaker 1: He still said no.
- 31:16Speaker 3: You can hear it. You sound like you're drowning right now. Well, yeah.
- 31:21Speaker 5: You would think, even on the radio, he'd be like, hey, no,
- 31:23Speaker 5: it didn't really work out. He didn't have to go
- 31:25Speaker 5: for the rudest thing he could possibly do.
- 31:28Speaker 9: Yeah, it was like slam after slam for no reason.
- 31:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I didn't like him.
- 31:33Speaker 9: No.
- 31:33Speaker 11: I mean, I had a little bit of a similar
- 31:35Speaker 11: date to that. I had a feeling that in the
- 31:37Speaker 11: beginning he wasn't interested, but he saw my picture.
- 31:40Speaker 15: He knew what I looked like, and.
- 31:43Speaker 11: That was like the worst day. So maybe it's a
- 31:45Speaker 11: little bit of trauma.
- 31:47Speaker 3: What was his, what was your thing? What do you mean?
- 31:49Speaker 3: He was like, what were you too tall? Were you different? Like,
- 31:52Speaker 3: what was it?
- 31:54Speaker 14: I don't know.
- 31:55Speaker 11: I mean, I am a little bit of a heavier girl,
- 31:57Speaker 11: but he again saw my pictures. Let me just say
- 32:00Speaker 11: he was heavier than I was. I was fine with that,
- 32:03Speaker 11: but I don't know what it was, but I thought
- 32:05Speaker 11: maybe he was just nervous. He wasn't talking. I was
- 32:09Speaker 11: the one carrying the conversation and, I'm actually an introvert,
- 32:12Speaker 11: so for me to carry the conversation is very uncomfortable. But, yeah,
- 32:17Speaker 11: I never heard from him afterwards. And it was just,
- 32:21Speaker 11: I mean, we were at Texas Roadhouse, and he was
- 32:24Speaker 11: looking at, you know how they have TVs behind the bar?
- 32:27Speaker 11: He was staring at the TVs, like, the whole time.
- 32:30Speaker 11: And I'm like, I had so many times I just
- 32:33Speaker 11: wanted to get up and say, you know what, I
- 32:34Speaker 11: guess we're not feeling it. I'm going to go, but
- 32:37Speaker 11: I was trying to be nice.
- 32:39Speaker 3: Whatever. It's only 45 minutes. Kim, thanks for calling in.
- 32:43Speaker 3: Thank you for listening. Mary Kay, your thoughts, second date update.
- 32:49Speaker 3: Go ahead. Hello.
- 32:55Speaker 11: Hello.
- 32:55Speaker 14: Good morning.
- 32:56Speaker 3: Good morning.
- 32:58Speaker 14: Hi.
- 32:58Speaker 3: Hi.
- 32:58Speaker 17: I had a few thoughts on the second date update
- 33:01Speaker 17: with Fiona. I was wondering since this guy has a
- 33:07Speaker 17: height complex, clearly he's, If Fiona would be interested in
- 33:11Speaker 17: going out with me.
- 33:16Speaker 3: What is your story, Mary Kay?
- 33:19Speaker 17: Well, my story is pretty simple. I've been single working
- 33:25Speaker 17: on myself for a couple of years and I'm ready
- 33:28Speaker 17: to mingle. And Fiona sounds incredible.
- 33:31Speaker 3: But are you? Are you 6'3? Are you, like, are you,
- 33:35Speaker 3: you know, like if you were doing a bio? Oh,
- 33:37Speaker 3: my gosh.
- 33:38Speaker 2: No, I wish.
- 33:38Speaker 17: I'm 5'8 1⁄2.
- 33:40Speaker 3: Are you always into girls? Because that never popped up
- 33:43Speaker 3: talking to Fiona.
- 33:47Speaker 17: Well, that's why I was just going to see what
- 33:49Speaker 17: was going to happen.
- 33:50Speaker 3: Sure.
- 33:50Speaker 17: And like you said, shoot my shot.
- 33:51Speaker 3: I love that. So you've never been with a girl before?
- 33:54Speaker 17: She seems like an amazing woman.
- 33:56Speaker 15: Me?
- 33:56Speaker 17: Oh, yes, I have. I don't know if she has,
- 33:58Speaker 17: but I'll educate her.
- 34:00Speaker 3: Oh, very nice.
- 34:01Speaker 9: It's fun to dabble a little.
- 34:02Speaker 3: Okay, Mary Kay, we'll find out for you.
- 34:04Speaker 9: I love your energy.
- 34:06Speaker 3: You said a couple things. What else? Is that it?
- 34:09Speaker 17: Well, just that I think tall women are absolutely amazing
- 34:13Speaker 17: and they should never be discounted like that. So if
- 34:16Speaker 17: a man can't show her how To respect her, I
- 34:20Speaker 17: can do that.
- 34:21Speaker 3: Stand up and applaud.
- 34:22Speaker 7: Okay, Mary Kay.
- 34:23Speaker 9: Yes, ma'am.
- 34:25Speaker 7: I love the confidence.
- 34:27Speaker 3: All right, Mary Kay. Thank you for calling in.
- 34:29Speaker 17: Well, thanks, guys.
- 34:30Speaker 3: You're welcome. Hello, Macy. You're on the air.
- 34:33Speaker 15: Hi, how are you guys?
- 34:36Speaker 3: Excellent. What's going down?
- 34:39Speaker 15: Okay, so that second day update really made me mad
- 34:43Speaker 15: because like Fiona, I'm six foot. I'm tall. Um, it's
- 34:48Speaker 15: not just even like he could have said something before
- 34:50Speaker 15: the day. I usually disclose my height before the date too,
- 34:53Speaker 15: but I've gotten some rude feedback too. I'm like, Hey,
- 34:55Speaker 15: I'm six foot. And then I've been called little big foot.
- 34:59Speaker 12: Hmm.
- 35:00Speaker 3: That's cute. Little big foot.
- 35:02Speaker 9: No, that's me.
- 35:03Speaker 8: No, no.
- 35:04Speaker 3: What size shoe do you wear?
- 35:07Speaker 15: I'm a 12 and women.
- 35:09Speaker 3: What's that? Men's. I think that's a 13.
- 35:12Speaker 15: I'm like, No, it's like an 11, 11 and a half,
- 35:16Speaker 15: but I was a D1 athlete, so I was like.
- 35:20Speaker 3: What did you play?
- 35:22Speaker 15: I played softball, but I felt really bad for Fiona
- 35:26Speaker 15: because I've gone through a similar situation.
- 35:30Speaker 3: And what happened? So what about now? Are you happily
- 35:32Speaker 3: ever after?
- 35:34Speaker 15: No, I'm still single. I'm still trying to find Mr. Right,
- 35:38Speaker 15: but I am not as insecure about my height as
- 35:40Speaker 15: I was before.
- 35:42Speaker 9: So, Macy, as, like, a tall girly, do you prefer
- 35:44Speaker 9: taller men or, like, are you totally down with dating
- 35:47Speaker 9: someone shorter than you two?
- 35:50Speaker 15: I mean, I would be fine, like, dating, like, 5'10.
- 35:52Speaker 15: If I'm 11, I've tried. But, like, every time they've
- 35:55Speaker 15: always made, like, little snide comments about my height.
- 35:59Speaker 9: No one wants to be with someone like that.
- 36:00Speaker 3: Yeah, that's not cool.
- 36:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 36:01Speaker 3: All right, Macy, well, thank you for listening.
- 36:05Speaker 15: Thank you, guys.
- 36:05Speaker 3: Hi, Michelle.
- 36:09Speaker 14: Hey.
- 36:09Speaker 3: Hey, you're on the air.
- 36:11Speaker 1: Great. So I want to know, I'd really like to
- 36:14Speaker 1: know what the guy looks like, first of all. But secondly,
- 36:16Speaker 1: I want to know why and why do people have
- 36:21Speaker 1: dates that are so lengthy? When you haven't met somebody,
- 36:26Speaker 1: why don't you go meet someone for a quick 15,
- 36:29Speaker 1: 30 minutes?
- 36:30Speaker 3: Cup of coffee. It's valid. You're right. Yeah.
- 36:33Speaker 1: I wouldn't want to feel like I'm being held hostage,
- 36:36Speaker 1: and I wouldn't want the guy. And I make that
- 36:37Speaker 1: very clear.
- 36:38Speaker 5: Back in the day, I set one of my kids'
- 36:42Speaker 5: babysitters up with a date from some guy who worked
- 36:44Speaker 5: at a restaurant. Their date, they hung out at dinner,
- 36:48Speaker 5: hung out for two hours after dinner, left, went to
- 36:51Speaker 5: a bar, like went over to each other's house, and
- 36:53Speaker 5: then that was it.
- 36:53Speaker 3: They're like, yeah, it didn't work out. What? Five hours
- 36:57Speaker 3: of it not working out. We just wanted to really
- 37:01Speaker 3: make sure.
- 37:02Speaker 5: We decided to make love and have children, and it
- 37:05Speaker 5: did not work out, so we're done.
- 37:06Speaker 3: Yeah, no, no.
- 37:09Speaker 1: Well, I think a quick 15, 30 minute, and I'm
- 37:12Speaker 1: very upfront. I tell them, let's meet for 15, 30 minutes,
- 37:14Speaker 1: see how we feel. This way, nobody feels like they're
- 37:17Speaker 1: being held hostage.
- 37:18Speaker 16: If it goes longer, great.
- 37:19Speaker 3: If not, no loss.
- 37:20Speaker 1: We made a new friend. I would never sit down
- 37:22Speaker 1: at dinner or expect it.
- 37:24Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't even think you give them the nighttime.
- 37:25Speaker 5: I think it's a lunch, like a lunch snack kind
- 37:27Speaker 5: of thing.
- 37:28Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. I think that goes for everything at work, too.
- 37:31Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:31Speaker 7: 15, 15 minutes.
- 37:32Speaker 3: Nothing should be more than 15 minutes. I was on
- 37:34Speaker 3: a Zoom call. I was on a Zoom call with
- 37:36Speaker 3: my wife the other day. I was driving. And she
- 37:38Speaker 3: was on the call. And it was forever. And when
- 37:42Speaker 3: you finish, I go, that was so unnecessary. 15 minutes.
- 37:45Speaker 3: But they all like to yap. Anyway, thank you, Michelle.
- 37:48Speaker 3: Thanks for calling in.
- 37:50Speaker 1: Girls get smarter. Just do a quick drive-thru.
- 37:54Speaker 3: Stephanie, you're on the air. Second date update. Go ahead.
- 37:58Speaker 7: Hey, guys.
- 38:00Speaker 15: My boyfriend, I'm 4'11, and my boyfriend is 6'5.
- 38:05Speaker 3: That's cute.
- 38:06Speaker 15: The tallest man that I've dated is 6'8.
- 38:08Speaker 10: Oh. Dang.
- 38:09Speaker 7: Holy moly.
- 38:13Speaker 3: Some thoughts on that? Other than that? Nope.
- 38:17Speaker 1: From me?
- 38:19Speaker 3: Yeah. What do you say about all that?
- 38:24Speaker 15: Apparently, I'm tall. I don't know.
- 38:27Speaker 3: There's a nickname for people like Stephanie.
- 38:29Speaker 10: What?
- 38:30Speaker 3: I think they call them spinners. I don't know if
- 38:34Speaker 3: we want the explanation. We don't want the explanation.
- 38:37Speaker 11: Don't ask.
- 38:38Speaker 3: Don't ask. What did you say, Stephanie?
- 38:42Speaker 15: Dime spinner.
- 38:43Speaker 3: Dime spinner? I haven't heard that one. But thank you, Stephanie.
- 38:46Speaker 3: See what happens when you call and speak on your phone.
- 38:48Speaker 3: There's a disconnect. I know. I mean, it's like... Monica,
- 38:51Speaker 3: you're on the air. Second date update. Go ahead.
- 38:54Speaker 2: Hey, good morning, guys.
- 38:55Speaker 3: Hi.
- 38:56Speaker 1: So it was just basically about the age... Or excuse me,
- 38:59Speaker 1: the age gap.
- 39:00Speaker 3: The height gap. Um.
- 39:02Speaker 14: Not about me, but.
- 39:04Speaker 1: My sister was actually in a relationship with her ex.
- 39:08Speaker 1: He was, I believe, 6'8 or 6'9. And my sister
- 39:12Speaker 1: is 5'2.
- 39:13Speaker 3: It's cute. I think the issue is the other way
- 39:16Speaker 3: around where people are like, whoa, guys don't want, you know,
- 39:19Speaker 3: because of the masculinity. And there are guys that are
- 39:21Speaker 3: okay with it. In fact, I remember this girl. We
- 39:23Speaker 3: did a charity event with this girl, with this event
- 39:26Speaker 3: one time. And I remember the girl was beautiful. And
- 39:29Speaker 3: her husband... was this short little dude. And she was like,
- 39:32Speaker 3: I love short guys. Do you remember her? I do
- 39:35Speaker 3: remember that. I remember them. Yeah, like he was really little. Yeah,
- 39:38Speaker 3: but he loved her and she loved him.
- 39:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:42Speaker 3: Monica, thanks for calling in. Of course. Bye. We're going
- 39:46Speaker 3: to hit the minute to win it. We need a
- 39:48Speaker 3: contestant at 877-937-1047. A couple text messages. Well, a couple
- 39:54Speaker 3: on Second Aid. I'm updating some other things. Second Aid update.
- 39:58Speaker 3: This guy's also a douchebag. If he knew the moment
- 40:01Speaker 3: he saw her, he wasn't interested, he should have manned
- 40:02Speaker 3: up and said something.
- 40:03Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 40:04Speaker 5: And we don't know what he looks like, but I
- 40:05Speaker 5: heard his voice, and I think he looks like he
- 40:07Speaker 5: has a little rat face, a little rubbery rat face.
- 40:10Speaker 3: Great call about the date that went wrong. She should
- 40:12Speaker 3: have told him that it didn't matter because he wasn't
- 40:15Speaker 3: tall enough anyways to ride that ride. That's funny. Here's
- 40:22Speaker 3: a text. It says, tell me you guys are watching
- 40:24Speaker 3: Wonka the Golden Ticket on Netflix. My kids and I
- 40:27Speaker 3: are obsessed.
- 40:28Speaker 7: Yes, we watched the whole thing.
- 40:29Speaker 3: Oh, you did?
- 40:30Speaker 6: Yeah, it was really fun to watch with the kids,
- 40:33Speaker 6: but I also just enjoyed it on my own because
- 40:34Speaker 6: it was very nostalgic. They literally recreated Wonka's factory and
- 40:39Speaker 6: turned it into a reality game show. It was awesome.
- 40:43Speaker 6: All the episodes are out now, so if you want
- 40:45Speaker 6: to binge it now, now's the time.
- 40:46Speaker 3: What does the winner get?
- 40:48Speaker 7: Lifetime supply of money.
- 40:50Speaker 10: Oh.
- 40:50Speaker 3: A lifetime supply of money? It's like $ 3 million.
- 40:52Speaker 6: Yeah, so $ 3 million, but they get paid every single
- 40:54Speaker 6: year for 30 years.
- 40:56Speaker 3: Oh, nice. Is it kids? Like a kid wins that
- 40:58Speaker 3: or a family wins that?
- 40:59Speaker 7: It's like a, they're like adults.
- 41:01Speaker 3: What if you don't live.
- 41:02Speaker 9: For the 30 years?
- 41:03Speaker 3: Well, that's your problem.
- 41:05Speaker 6: Well, then you find someone to give your lifetime money
- 41:08Speaker 6: supply to you in your will.
- 41:09Speaker 3: That argument is like, so the lottery is 400 million,
- 41:11Speaker 3: but you can't. Well, what if you don't.
- 41:14Speaker 9: Live long enough?
- 41:15Speaker 3: I'm sure you can leave it in a will. Give
- 41:17Speaker 3: it to me now.
- 41:18Speaker 6: It just sounds cool to say lifetime supply of money.
- 41:21Speaker 3: That show got me.
- 41:21Speaker 9: Unless you die. It doesn't work.
- 41:24Speaker 7: But then you got it for your whole life.
- 41:25Speaker 3: I can't.
- 41:27Speaker 5: I was going to say the thing that I loved
- 41:28Speaker 5: about that show is the room where everything is made
- 41:30Speaker 5: out of candy, like for real, just like in Willy Wonka.
- 41:33Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 41:34Speaker 3: And you could eat the grass. I mean, it was
- 41:35Speaker 3: all candy.
- 41:36Speaker 9: I saw the one video of the girl who got
- 41:38Speaker 9: sick from spinning in circles.
- 41:40Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 41:42Speaker 9: Oh, that poor thing.
- 41:43Speaker 3: I used to do that for fun as a kid.
- 41:44Speaker 3: Just spinning, spinning, spinning, spinning. Did you guys ever do that?
- 41:48Speaker 3: You spin until you fall down?
- 41:49Speaker 7: No, this was like a half an hour of spinning, though.
- 41:51Speaker 3: Like she had to spin herself?
- 41:52Speaker 9: I was like holding on to like almost like a
- 41:54Speaker 9: circular monkey bar, and they were spinning them in circles.
- 41:58Speaker 3: Oh, like that girl that got rescued off of Calvac
- 41:59Speaker 3: Mountain that one time? Yeah, just like that.
- 42:03Speaker 7: Maybe not that intense.
- 42:06Speaker 3: Chantel, good morning.
- 42:08Speaker 15: Morning.
- 42:08Speaker 3: All right, you were calling to play Minute to Win
- 42:10Speaker 3: it for $ 1, 000 of Pat Hickey's money, correct?
- 42:13Speaker 17: Yes.
- 42:14Speaker 3: Okay. I hear you on speakerphone. That's on you.
- 42:18Speaker 14: Uh, no, actually I'm not on speaker.
- 42:20Speaker 3: Now she's not. All right. Uh, what part of town
- 42:22Speaker 3: are you in right now? Chantel?
- 42:24Speaker 2: I'm in East Mesa.
- 42:26Speaker 3: All right, let's go. Let's see. What do you do
- 42:27Speaker 3: for a living?
- 42:29Speaker 14: Um, I'm a speech language pathologist.
- 42:31Speaker 3: All right, let's play.
- 42:33Speaker 6: John Jay and Rich have $ 1, 000 cash for you from
- 42:36Speaker 6: Peoria Ford right now.
- 42:37Speaker 3: Minute to win it.
- 42:39Speaker 5: I feel good about you, Chantel. Let's do the 60
- 42:41Speaker 5: seconds on the clock.
- 42:42Speaker 3: Get them all right. You win $ 1, 000. Here we go.
- 42:45Speaker 3: What is the name of Amazon's voice assistant?
- 42:51Speaker 14: Alexa.
- 42:52Speaker 5: Who had a breakout hit in 2021 with driver's license?
- 42:58Speaker 13: Olivia Rodrigo.
- 43:02Speaker 3: What U.S. city is home to the Liberty Bell? Philadelphia.
- 43:09Speaker 5: In Roman mythology, what god of love is often depicted
- 43:12Speaker 5: with a bow and arrow?
- 43:16Speaker 17: Cupid.
- 43:23Speaker 5: What Netflix series features cash-strapped contestants competing in a deadly
- 43:27Speaker 5: version of children's games?
- 43:29Speaker 19: Squid Game.
- 43:32Speaker 5: The Vince Lombardi Trophy is awarded to the champion of
- 43:35Speaker 5: what professional sports league?
- 43:38Speaker 3: Oh, gosh.
- 43:38Speaker 14: What was that again?
- 43:40Speaker 5: The Vince Lombardi trophy is awarded to the champion of
- 43:42Speaker 5: what professional sports league?
- 43:43Speaker 17: Oh, you're.
- 43:49Speaker 12: Out of time.
- 43:51Speaker 3: Win it at the Super Bowl. When you win the
- 43:54Speaker 3: Super Bowl.
- 43:54Speaker 12: Oh, my God.
- 43:54Speaker 9: Football.
- 43:55Speaker 1: Football.
- 43:57Speaker 3: Yes, I would have also accepted the NFL. The NFL.
- 43:59Speaker 3: All right, Chantel. How many did she get? Five. Well,
- 44:03Speaker 3: you get a Del Taco gift card, Chantel. Thanks for playing.
- 44:06Speaker 17: Okay.
- 44:07Speaker 3: Thank you for listening. Speaking of this. Football. I saw
- 44:11Speaker 3: a thing, and I don't know how reliable it is,
- 44:13Speaker 3: that Apple Music leaked a thing. Did you see this yet?
- 44:15Speaker 8: No.
- 44:16Speaker 7: Yeah, I saw the picture on Instagram.
- 44:18Speaker 1: It was a.
- 44:18Speaker 3: Silhouette of the Super Bowl halftime performer, and they said
- 44:20Speaker 3: it was Miley Cyrus.
- 44:21Speaker 9: Yeah, it looks just like Miley Cyrus. And if that's
- 44:23Speaker 9: the case, I wonder if they leak it, and then
- 44:26Speaker 9: they're like, okay, well, now we can't have Miley. We
- 44:28Speaker 9: have to pivot and find someone else.
- 44:31Speaker 3: They leak it on purpose to see if people are.
- 44:33Speaker 7: Excited about it.
- 44:34Speaker 3: Well, I'm pumped. If they have a contract, then it
- 44:36Speaker 3: doesn't matter if it leaked. Like, she can't say, hey, man,
- 44:38Speaker 3: I already agreed to do all this. You can't not
- 44:40Speaker 3: get somebody else because it leaked.
- 44:42Speaker 9: Well, I wonder if someone, like, accidentally scheduled out the
- 44:44Speaker 9: post too early.
- 44:45Speaker 3: Janet, good morning. What's happening?
- 44:48Speaker 2: Well, you know, I'm calling you from Missoula, Montana. And
- 44:51Speaker 2: I just heard your segment on the how'd you get
- 44:54Speaker 2: out of a speeding ticket.
- 44:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 44:56Speaker 2: And I have come to the best story ever.
- 44:58Speaker 3: Oh, my God. Let's hear the best story ever.
- 45:02Speaker 2: Well, so I worked downtown and we used to razz
- 45:06Speaker 2: the local beat cop out the window all the time.
- 45:09Speaker 2: And we were on really good relationship with them, giving
- 45:11Speaker 2: them a hard time if he gave somebody a ticket
- 45:14Speaker 2: for being a smidge over the line or whatever. And
- 45:18Speaker 2: one day I was hauling butt through town. I was
- 45:21Speaker 2: doing about C8 in a 25 zone. And he happened
- 45:26Speaker 2: to be the one that pulled me over. And he
- 45:28Speaker 2: walks up to my window and he says, What would
- 45:31Speaker 2: you say if I told you I caught you doing
- 45:33Speaker 2: 38 back there? And I said, I'd tell you you're
- 45:35Speaker 2: a damn liar. I was going way faster than that.
- 45:38Speaker 2: Because I'm a very firm believer I am never lying
- 45:41Speaker 2: to the cops. They get lied to all day. Your
- 45:44Speaker 2: best bet is to be honest. And he kind of
- 45:47Speaker 2: shook his head at me and he goes, well, what
- 45:48Speaker 2: would you say if I told you I was going
- 45:50Speaker 2: to give you a warning? And I said, you want
- 45:54Speaker 2: to see my personality traits? You know what I'm saying? My,
- 46:03Speaker 2: my personality, the ones.
- 46:04Speaker 3: On my chest. Oh, Oh my God. I thought you
- 46:08Speaker 3: were mentally. Okay. So you say you want to see,
- 46:11Speaker 3: you didn't say the word personalities though, right?
- 46:14Speaker 2: I was a little more descriptive than that.
- 46:17Speaker 3: Okay. And then what happened?
- 46:20Speaker 2: I got pulled over three more times that week.
- 46:24Speaker 3: So he let you go.
- 46:27Speaker 15: You let me go.
- 46:27Speaker 3: And you showed him your personalities.
- 46:30Speaker 2: All four of the cops let me go.
- 46:33Speaker 3: But you showed him your personalities then.
- 46:35Speaker 2: Of course I showed him my personality. That was the deal, right?
- 46:41Speaker 3: How long does that last? You pull him out for what?
- 46:43Speaker 3: Five seconds? For a half hour?
- 46:48Speaker 17: Just a flash.
- 46:49Speaker 3: Just a flash. Okay. And then you got pulled over
- 46:51Speaker 3: again and the same thing.
- 46:54Speaker 2: Yeah, three more times that week.
- 46:55Speaker 5: You're like, guys, let me tell you the most effective
- 46:58Speaker 5: way to do 58 to 25. Tell everybody at work.
- 47:02Speaker 3: That's a great story.
- 47:03Speaker 7: That's awesome.
- 47:03Speaker 3: I would let you go, too.
- 47:04Speaker 6: You must have real nice personalities.
- 47:07Speaker 5: You know what's weird is he was going to let
- 47:09Speaker 5: you go with a warning anyway. You didn't have to
- 47:11Speaker 5: pull out the personalities.
- 47:14Speaker 7: That was her thank you.
- 47:18Speaker 3: Way to go, Janet. I wish you lived here. I
- 47:21Speaker 3: wish you would speed here. Thanks for listening. That is great.
- 47:28Speaker 3: Oh my God. Hey, today's a very special day, by
- 47:31Speaker 3: the way. Welcome, friends. I've got a question. Who wants
- 47:35Speaker 3: a taco? So, tacos? Who wants tacos?
- 47:38Speaker 5: I'm buying.
- 47:38Speaker 3: Who wants little tiny tacos?
- 47:41Speaker 7: Today is National Taco Day.
- 47:42Speaker 10: Taco about something we can all agree to celebrate.
- 47:45Speaker 7: It's taco.
- 47:46Speaker 14: Taco!
- 47:47Speaker 3: Tacos! Happy National Taco Day.
- 47:50Speaker 7: Probably one of the best days of the year.
- 47:52Speaker 10: Tacos, tacos, tacos, tacos.
- 47:53Speaker 3: It's your time. I got some taco-related stats. 2% of
- 47:57Speaker 3: Americans have never eaten a taco.
- 47:59Speaker 1: What?
- 48:00Speaker 3: What are these people doing? What is wrong? 90% of us,
- 48:04Speaker 3: of adults, like to eat tacos. 83% of us say
- 48:08Speaker 3: that they eat Mexican food at least once a month. 71%
- 48:11Speaker 3: of us prefer tacos over burritos. Half of us prefer
- 48:15Speaker 3: soft taco shells. The average hard taco fan eats 7.3
- 48:19Speaker 3: tacos a month. Arizona residents eat the most tacos in
- 48:25Speaker 3: one sitting. Good for us. 47 out of 50 states
- 48:30Speaker 3: chose cheese as their favorite taco topping.
- 48:32Speaker 9: Sour cream for me.
- 48:34Speaker 3: That's my participation in the food news. You got food news, Rich?
- 48:37Speaker 3: I do.
- 48:38Speaker 5: As a matter of fact, 7-Up has a flavor called
- 48:41Speaker 5: Miami Vice that they're releasing, like the old TV show.
- 48:44Speaker 5: It's their lemon-lime soda mixed with strawberry, daiquiri, and pina
- 48:47Speaker 5: colada flavors, like the frozen cocktail. And for the holidays...
- 48:51Speaker 5: 7up has a Shirley Temple for the third year in
- 48:53Speaker 5: a row. They say that's their best seller, which is
- 48:56Speaker 5: kind of interesting. Now, McDonald's has pickle juice for runners.
- 48:59Speaker 5: So if you're running a marathon and you need to
- 49:02Speaker 5: get some pickle juice, you stop into McDonald's and they've
- 49:05Speaker 5: got it on the menu now. For the Chicago Marathon,
- 49:08Speaker 5: they're taking the brine from their pickles, bottling and calling
- 49:11Speaker 5: it Pickle Boost.
- 49:12Speaker 7: That's cool.
- 49:12Speaker 3: That's pretty sweet, isn't it? I love the taste of
- 49:15Speaker 3: pickle juice.
- 49:17Speaker 5: This might actually serve you, Kyle, especially in your neighborhood,
- 49:20Speaker 5: because you've got a great trick-or-treating.
- 49:21Speaker 3: Neighborhood, I feel like.
- 49:22Speaker 5: Reese's wants to look for the best trick-or-treat street in America.
- 49:27Speaker 5: They're using everything from candy, costume buying, decorations, walkability of
- 49:30Speaker 5: the neighborhood, participation. And then the winning streak, it's a
- 49:35Speaker 5: giant Reese's Halloween block party, a special trick-or-treat experience. The
- 49:40Speaker 5: winner gets announced on October 21st, but you can nominate
- 49:44Speaker 5: your neighborhood at Reese's.com.
- 49:46Speaker 7: That's pretty cool.
- 49:47Speaker 6: Did you see Starbucks just dropped their holiday menu today, too?
- 49:49Speaker 7: What's that? It's like November 5th.
- 49:52Speaker 6: All of their holiday drinks, like the peppermint mocha, the
- 49:55Speaker 6: caramel brulee, the sugar cookie, gingerbread chai, those are all back.
- 49:58Speaker 3: Well, that's exciting.
- 49:59Speaker 7: I know.
- 50:00Speaker 11: I know.
- 50:00Speaker 7: I'm like, ooh, it's like getting into the holidays.
- 50:02Speaker 3: I love it. It's National Taco Day.
- 50:04Speaker 15: National Taco Day.
- 50:05Speaker 9: I'm kind of in the mood for tacos.
- 50:07Speaker 7: Every day is Taco Day.
- 50:08Speaker 3: Can I get my tacos?
- 50:09Speaker 11: Delicious.
- 50:10Speaker 3: Making some fish tacos.
- 50:12Speaker 9: All right.
- 50:12Speaker 3: I'm going to taste this. Delicious and adorable. All right.
- 50:17Speaker 7: It's raining tacos. Raining tacos.
- 50:24Speaker 13: Raining tacos.
- 50:32Speaker 3: Taco Day. Yo quiero Taco Bell. Licking a stack of
- 50:36Speaker 3: taco shells. And I love them, and I'll take care
- 50:39Speaker 3: of them. We love them too much. The music is awesome,
- 50:41Speaker 3: and the tacos are for real. Very delicious. All right,
- 50:46Speaker 3: real quick. November 7th is Love Pub Family Fest at
- 50:52Speaker 3: Ratuccio Farms. We've done it every year for I don't
- 50:55Speaker 3: know how many years. We usually have a big artist
- 50:57Speaker 3: performing a bunch of bands, and it's free, free, free, free.
- 51:00Speaker 3: We have locked in this year's headliner. I will tell
- 51:04Speaker 3: you who that is and just know it's absolutely free.
- 51:06Speaker 3: So save the date, November 7th. The Love Pub Family
- 51:09Speaker 3: Fest headliner. I will tell you next with John Jay
- 51:12Speaker 3: and Rich. What's up, Gabby?
- 51:29Speaker 12: Hey, Dante.
- 51:30Speaker 3: Hi.
- 51:30Speaker 14: I'm so excited for y'all to announce the headliners of
- 51:35Speaker 14: Love Pop.
- 51:36Speaker 3: Oh, I was just going to do that right now.
- 51:37Speaker 3: I'm glad you called.
- 51:40Speaker 15: I'm so excited.
- 51:41Speaker 14: I need you to tell me immediately.
- 51:42Speaker 3: It starts at 4 p.m.
- 51:44Speaker 15: 4 p.m., perfect.
- 51:46Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 51:47Speaker 14: I'm so excited.
- 51:48Speaker 3: All right, so I can tell you this. There's a
- 51:50Speaker 3: corn maze. There's going to be dog rescues from all
- 51:52Speaker 3: over the valley setting up their dogs. It's a huge
- 51:55Speaker 3: adoption event. It's absolutely free. I mean, we'd like people
- 51:57Speaker 3: to bring in a donation, like canned food or a
- 51:59Speaker 3: leash or a collar or puppy pads, but it's absolutely free.
- 52:02Speaker 3: We make a big donation pile, and then we give
- 52:04Speaker 3: everything to all the rescues there.
- 52:05Speaker 12: I'll definitely be there.
- 52:06Speaker 3: Okay, well, hold on. I haven't even told you the headliners.
- 52:09Speaker 3: So a Rich Bear band is performing. Richard Band's performing.
- 52:13Speaker 3: Gino Plager from America's Got Talent is going to be
- 52:17Speaker 3: doing magic on stage there. Yeah, he's huge. And the headliner, Gabby,
- 52:22Speaker 3: performing for free, at this year's Love Pup Family Fest. Hey,
- 52:27Speaker 3: I'm Gavin DeGraw.
- 52:43Speaker 8: Ladies and gentlemen, your performer for the 10th annual Love
- 52:47Speaker 8: Club Family Fest, it's Gavin DeGraw. If you ask me
- 53:11Speaker 8: how I'm doing, I would say I'm doing just fine.
- 53:16Speaker 8: I would lie and say that you're not on my mind.
- 53:28Speaker 8: I think it's important when you're writing songs that you
- 53:42Speaker 8: have to be honest enough to not always be the
- 53:45Speaker 8: hero in the.
- 53:46Speaker 10: Song, you know?
- 53:47Speaker 20: Love Pup Family Fest, a John Jay and Rich annual tradition,
- 53:51Speaker 20: returns November 7th at Vertuccio Farms in Mesa.
- 53:54Speaker 8: No matter what I say, I'm not over you.

- 54:09Speaker 14: Thank you.
- 54:09Speaker 3: Peyton, I am so impressed.
- 54:12Speaker 9: Well, okay, so, like, One Tree Hill was my jam.

- 54:18Speaker 9: don't want to be so yeah I love that I
- 54:20Speaker 9: love that show so I'm really.

- 54:31Speaker 3: of little surprises going on I already know Rich has
- 54:33Speaker 3: got a surprise popping up on stage with him I
- 54:35Speaker 3: think Gavin DeGraw's got a couple surprises up his sleeve
- 54:37Speaker 3: too keep in mind it's at Vertuccio Farms in Mesa
- 54:39Speaker 3: which is right off of Powell Road I think it's
- 54:41Speaker 3: more Gilbert Queen Creek-ish right there it's a divide bring
- 54:45Speaker 3: your dogs, bring your kids. It's absolutely free. And if
- 54:48Speaker 3: you're looking for a dog, you're looking for a puppy,

- 55:58Speaker 3: Is going to be the headliner at Love Pug Family
- 56:00Speaker 3: Fest November 7th. Gavin DeGraw, it's absolutely free. Now, it
- 56:05Speaker 3: is spooky season. And we are now kicking off the
- 56:08Speaker 3: John Jay and Rich spooky season. With what we do
- 56:11Speaker 3: every year, you find out about what are you afraid
- 56:13Speaker 3: of that's irrational. An irrational fear. You know it's a
- 56:17Speaker 3: little silly, but you're still a little scared. Like Jessica, you,
- 56:21Speaker 3: what's your irrational fear, Jessica?
- 56:24Speaker 2: I'm terrified of touching ice cubes.
- 56:28Speaker 3: You're terrified of picking ice cubes? Touching?
- 56:30Speaker 10: Touching them.
- 56:31Speaker 3: Oh, touching ice cubes.
- 56:32Speaker 9: Because of the cold?
- 56:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I can't stand the thought.
- 56:34Speaker 1: Of touching an ice cube.
- 56:37Speaker 3: With your mouth while you're drinking, it's okay, but you're
- 56:39Speaker 3: just saying with your fingers?
- 56:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 56:43Speaker 7: Do you know where that comes from?
- 56:45Speaker 2: I think it's because when I was young, we always
- 56:48Speaker 2: watched Christmas Story when he got his tongue stuck in
- 56:53Speaker 2: a pole.
- 56:53Speaker 17: I think it traumatized me.
- 56:55Speaker 3: I only know that from Dumb and Dumber. Was that
- 56:57Speaker 3: on Dumb and Dumber? You got his tongue stuck in
- 56:58Speaker 3: a pole? Was it also on Christmas? Yeah. I never
- 57:01Speaker 3: saw Christmas Story, so I don't know.
- 57:03Speaker 17: Oh, you're missing out.
- 57:04Speaker 3: I hear that every year.
- 57:04Speaker 7: You never saw I'll Shoot Your Eye Out?
- 57:06Speaker 3: No.
- 57:07Speaker 1: What?
- 57:08Speaker 3: Mm-mm.
- 57:09Speaker 7: It's a Christmas card.
- 57:10Speaker 5: I kind of wonder how you've missed it. They play
- 57:12Speaker 5: that 24-7. Let me tell.
- 57:13Speaker 3: You how many times we've talked about this. You've actually
- 57:15Speaker 3: given me the DVD. Jessica, thanks for calling in. Irrational Fears. Mary,
- 57:23Speaker 3: what's yours?
- 57:25Speaker 18: My irrational fear is empty swimming pools.
- 57:29Speaker 3: Empty swimming pools. Why?
- 57:34Speaker 18: It wouldn't be irrational if I knew. When I was
- 57:37Speaker 18: a kid, my school was right next to like a
- 57:40Speaker 18: big kind of like regional park. And they had one
- 57:43Speaker 18: of those huge community pools that had like Olympic lanes
- 57:47Speaker 18: and a diving sides. And in the winter, they would
- 57:50Speaker 18: drain the pool and I would see it every day,
- 57:54Speaker 18: like going into school. And I just I couldn't look
- 57:59Speaker 18: at it. And like my breathing would get like labored.
- 58:04Speaker 18: I wouldn't be hyperventilating, but I would feel this weird like.
- 58:08Speaker 18: just like oppressive weight in my body. I, I were like,
- 58:13Speaker 18: I don't know if you're like a reincarnation person. Did
- 58:16Speaker 18: I drown in a past life? I don't know.
- 58:18Speaker 3: That makes sense.
- 58:19Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 58:20Speaker 18: Empty swimming pools like freak me out even to this day.
- 58:23Speaker 5: Makes sense to me. Isn't that what happened to Barb
- 58:25Speaker 5: in the upside down and a stranger things?
- 58:27Speaker 9: She was in a pool. Yeah.
- 58:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 58:29Speaker 3: Um, Mary, when I was a kid and I grew
- 58:31Speaker 3: up in Tucson, we lived in the hood and I
- 58:33Speaker 3: have to walk to school and there was an abandoned
- 58:35Speaker 3: house on the way to school. that we all thought
- 58:38Speaker 3: was haunted. So every time we had to walk in
- 58:40Speaker 3: front of the house, we would sprint in the backyard.
- 58:43Speaker 3: It had an empty pool. The rumor was someone drowned there.
- 58:46Speaker 7: Oh, that's creepy.
- 58:49Speaker 3: I just think now as an adult, I think it
- 58:51Speaker 3: was just for sale. Thanks, Mary. Hey, I mean, irrational fear.
- 58:57Speaker 3: I think we've all talked about this before. You're in
- 58:59Speaker 3: the swimming pool and you think somebody's going to grab
- 59:00Speaker 3: you by the ankle and pull you underwater. that's irrational
- 59:04Speaker 3: fear irrational thanks mary thank you sammy.
- 59:11Speaker 14: Uh my irrational fear is michael myers and i still
- 59:15Speaker 14: have to check in my closets and underneath my bed
- 59:19Speaker 14: and i'm 41 years old that.
- 59:20Speaker 5: Makes sense to me you see that that stuff when
- 59:23Speaker 5: you see that way too early like most of us
- 59:25Speaker 5: did That stays with you.
- 59:27Speaker 3: You think it's real.
- 59:27Speaker 9: But it's only Michael Myers specifically. It's not just a
- 59:30Speaker 9: random man under your bed or in your closet.
- 59:32Speaker 3: No, it's Michael.
- 59:34Speaker 2: Honestly, Michael.
- 59:35Speaker 5: Honestly, I still don't like to sleep with like a
- 59:38Speaker 5: leg or an arm hanging over the side of the bed.
- 59:41Speaker 9: Grow up, Rich.
- 59:42Speaker 3: Something will get it.
- 59:44Speaker 9: No, I get that.
- 59:45Speaker 3: You know, you're just leaving yourself exposed.
- 59:48Speaker 5: If you're on the bed under the covers, you are safe.
- 59:51Speaker 1: Right.
- 59:51Speaker 9: Because I mean, whatever like intruder monster that's in there
- 59:54Speaker 9: isn't going to take you.
- 59:56Speaker 3: They can't violate that.
- 59:57Speaker 14: So if I'm under the bed or if I'm under
- 1:00:01Speaker 14: the covers in bed and the closet doors open. My
- 1:00:04Speaker 14: husband has to get out of bed and look in
- 1:00:07Speaker 14: the closet and.
- 1:00:08Speaker 13: Shut it before he's allowed to get back in bed.
- 1:00:10Speaker 9: Well, that makes sense because closets are portals anyway, so
- 1:00:13Speaker 9: you should definitely be shutting your closets at night anyway.
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: Yeah, we're not helping Sammy at all here, are we?
- 1:00:18Speaker 14: No. I just feel very justified for my behaviors.
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: I'm 41 years old.
- 1:00:23Speaker 6: Do you think like it would be, you would like
- 1:00:26Speaker 6: leave your husband if he ever just like put a
- 1:00:28Speaker 6: Michael Myers mask in your closet just to prank you?
- 1:00:32Speaker 14: Oh, he would never.
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: What if it was like why you guys were making love?
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: He put it on in the middle.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: Ew.
- 1:00:40Speaker 14: Oh, he'd get punched so hard in the face.
- 1:00:42Speaker 5: You should really hire somebody during that to pop out
- 1:00:45Speaker 5: of your closet.
- 1:00:46Speaker 14: Okay, so that's where it all stemmed from was my
- 1:00:48Speaker 14: dad did this to me as a kid. We lived
- 1:00:52Speaker 14: in the outskirts of Illinois in the suburbs. And we
- 1:00:56Speaker 14: had a boat that used to go out on Lake Michigan.
- 1:01:00Speaker 14: It was like a yacht. So during the wintertime, he'd
- 1:01:02Speaker 14: put it next to the house. And me and my
- 1:01:04Speaker 14: little friends would all want to sleep in it. And
- 1:01:06Speaker 14: then he would come up, you know, like the bow
- 1:01:09Speaker 14: of the boat where they got the little windows. He'd
- 1:01:12Speaker 14: come up with his Michael Myers mask and scare us all.
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: No wonder.
- 1:01:16Speaker 14: And then one time he sent my mom out to
- 1:01:18Speaker 14: go get pizza, and all I saw in the ditch
- 1:01:20Speaker 14: was her car and them being carried.
- 1:01:22Speaker 12: Across the field.
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: He went too far.
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: So he went full in. So I just created a
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: whole Saturday Night Live skit by something you just said.
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: You said he would scare us all. What if there's
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: a Saturday Night Live skit where there's a can of
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: spray and it scares us all? For Halloween, you spray
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: it and everybody screams. Scaramous salt. Take it, SNL. Sammy,
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: thanks for calling in.
- 1:01:45Speaker 11: Yeah, no problem.
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: Daisy, what's your irrational fear?
- 1:01:51Speaker 19: So mine, last year, it was last year, it was
- 1:01:55Speaker 19: the heater, my heater. So basically, for some reason, well,
- 1:02:00Speaker 19: not for some reason, my rental company changed.
- 1:02:03Speaker 14: To a digital thermostat.
- 1:02:06Speaker 19: Something triggered in me, and every time it would.
- 1:02:09Speaker 14: Turn on, I would lose my cool.
- 1:02:12Speaker 9: I don't know why.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: I would lose my, but I guess, long story short,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: I got diagnosed with OCD.
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: Oh, you did?
- 1:02:20Speaker 5: Well, she's not wrong. She lost her cool because the
- 1:02:23Speaker 5: heater was on. That's how you lose your cool. It
- 1:02:25Speaker 5: gets warm.
- 1:02:26Speaker 19: Yeah, but it was so bad. It was so bad where, like,
- 1:02:30Speaker 19: I don't know what triggered it, but seeing it and
- 1:02:33Speaker 19: seeing the temperature on my wall, like, every time it
- 1:02:35Speaker 19: would turn on, I would, like, pace.
- 1:02:37Speaker 12: I would, like, it was so bad.
- 1:02:39Speaker 19: I stopped eating for two weeks, ended up.
- 1:02:40Speaker 7: In the ER.
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh, you poor thing.
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: Yeah, but then it's OCD. Yeah.
- 1:02:46Speaker 19: I guess repetitive things annoy me apparently, but I'm medicated now.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: I think I'm okay.
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: You sound good. What medicine do you take for OCD?
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: Uh, they have me on Sertraline.
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: Never heard of it. Well, good luck, Daisy.
- 1:03:01Speaker 19: Well, thank you so much.
- 1:03:03Speaker 3: That's the thing. It's like irrational fears. Like I'm afraid
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: we talked about being a swimming pool and someone grabbed
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: my leg and pulled me under and that couldn't happen.
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: Other than that, I think all the things I'm afraid
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: of are legitimate. Like scorpion snakes, murderers, serial killers. To me,
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: to be afraid of a serial killer makes perfect sense
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: to me. I feel like they're out there. In your lifetime,
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: you've passed 20 serial killers in your life. Which is wild.
- 1:03:25Speaker 5: That's a medical fact. I feel like that on the road.
- 1:03:29Speaker 5: If somebody passes me because I'm going too slow, I
- 1:03:31Speaker 5: think they're going to shoot at me.
- 1:03:32Speaker 7: Oh, jeez.
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: Well, that could happen. That's not irrational.
- 1:03:36Speaker 5: Well, yours, I think, is because you're afraid that the
- 1:03:39Speaker 5: serial killer in your world, and you think this totally
- 1:03:42Speaker 5: makes sense, is somehow holding their breath in your cold plunge.
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: Waiting for you to get into it. That's why it's irrational.
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: That's the one irrational fear I have. The rest seem rational.
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: In fact, if you guys watch the show, and I
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: know we were talking about this yesterday, but you guys
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: didn't watch it, Kyle and Peyton, but it's lanterns. One
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: of the things to be the Green Lantern is you
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: can't ever show fear and have no fear. They would
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: never hire me as a Green Lantern because I'm afraid
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: of a lot of things. As you should be. I know.
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: But the Green Lantern guy is not afraid of anything. Anyway,
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: I highly recommend Green Lantern on HBO. Peyton has a
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: Halloween dilemma. Am I right, Peyton? Yeah. What is it
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: really quick?
- 1:04:17Speaker 9: So I was talking to my husband, Kadeem, and we, a.k.a. I,
- 1:04:22Speaker 9: have decided that we're going to be Spider-Man and MJ
- 1:04:25Speaker 9: on Halloween when we're handing out candy to all the kids, right?
- 1:04:27Speaker 14: Cute.
- 1:04:28Speaker 9: But he is protesting because he says that technically he
- 1:04:32Speaker 9: would be the only one in a costume because me
- 1:04:34Speaker 9: dressing up as MJ isn't really a costume. And I disagree.
- 1:04:38Speaker 7: But I kind of agree with Kadeem. You're just being
- 1:04:40Speaker 7: an outfit. Like, how do you dress as MJ?
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: You'd be dressed like yourself.
- 1:04:42Speaker 9: I would put on some glasses. I would maybe, you know...
- 1:04:45Speaker 9: Do like a blowout with my hair.
- 1:04:46Speaker 7: But what are you actually wearing? Just normal clothes, right?
- 1:04:50Speaker 5: Cargo pants and a white t-shirt and a flannel.
- 1:04:53Speaker 6: You're not in a costume just because you put on glasses.
- 1:04:56Speaker 5: I think the glasses make it the costume.
- 1:05:00Speaker 7: No, because you've worn the glasses on a regular day.
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: It was like one year for Halloween, I went as
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: Joey from Friends. Because I've just worn a shirt and
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: a pair of pants.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: Oh, go ahead. Join the friends. That way I just
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: showed up to the party as I was.
- 1:05:13Speaker 9: Well, he needs to take one for the team and
- 1:05:14Speaker 9: just dress up as Spider-Man.
- 1:05:15Speaker 5: I don't think he's protesting that. He's protesting you not
- 1:05:18Speaker 5: dressing up. If he dresses up as Spider-Man, you should
- 1:05:21Speaker 5: dress up as the female Spider-Man.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: Who's that? Spider-Gwen. Black Widow? Are you thinking of?
- 1:05:26Speaker 18: No.
- 1:05:27Speaker 3: I feel like it was What's-Her-Face from Stranger Things. Oh,
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: she was Jean What's-Her-Face.
- 1:05:31Speaker 7: I was thinking the cartoon one.
- 1:05:32Speaker 9: I was too. The pink and white one. The pink
- 1:05:33Speaker 9: and white one. That's the one I was thinking of.
- 1:05:35Speaker 3: Madam Web. We'll see. Something like that.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:05:38Speaker 3: By the way, you know the first call we took?
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: The first call we took, Jessica was afraid of ice.
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: Nick is telling me that we didn't let her finish
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: her story. The comedy in it, she's afraid of ice.
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: Her last name is Zamboni. Jessica Zamboni, and she's afraid
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: of ice cubes. That's a screamer for Nick. He's back
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: there howling over that one. Sombra tickets could be yours
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: for free in less than 20 minutes. We're going to
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: play a game. Kyle Payton right now is going to
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: break down everything entertainment-like.
- 1:06:05Speaker 6: Chris Rock just admitted there is one decision he made
- 1:06:08Speaker 6: years ago that still haunts him.
- 1:06:09Speaker 7: I'll tell you what that is next with John Jay
- 1:06:11Speaker 7: and Rich.
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: More coming up next. You know how many times I've
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: unsubscribed to an email?
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: I know.
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: And I still get them.
- 1:06:18Speaker 7: It's so frustrating.
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: I'm like, I unsubscribed. It's like a scam.
- 1:06:22Speaker 7: I know.
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: Click here to unsubscribe. And then another email comes later
- 1:06:25Speaker 3: that day or the next day. Pisses me off.
- 1:06:27Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:06:27Speaker 3: Somebody needs to figure that out. Anyway, let's get some
- 1:06:29Speaker 3: entertainment news. Kyle, pay what he has got.
- 1:06:31Speaker 6: Taylor Swift just got her 16th number one song in
- 1:06:34Speaker 6: the Billboard Hot 100 with Patient Zero. And now there
- 1:06:37Speaker 6: are only two artists ahead of her in the entire
- 1:06:40Speaker 6: history of the chart.
- 1:06:41Speaker 7: It's Mariah Carey and the Beatles.
- 1:06:43Speaker 6: So yes, we've apparently reached the point where those are
- 1:06:45Speaker 6: the records Taylor is chasing.
- 1:06:46Speaker 7: She also is the first.
- 1:06:47Speaker 6: One to knock Ella Langley off that top number one spot.
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: That's just crazy pants and I'm so proud of her.
- 1:06:53Speaker 6: I know, she also released like a little bit of
- 1:06:55Speaker 6: a behind the scenes of making of the video for
- 1:06:58Speaker 6: Patient Zero. And in it, you see this one part
- 1:07:01Speaker 6: where Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell, they're arguing over a table.
- 1:07:05Speaker 6: And in the behind the scenes video, you find out
- 1:07:07Speaker 6: what they're actually arguing about.
- 1:07:09Speaker 9: I'm pretty obsessed with like making a shot symmetrical. It just,
- 1:07:12Speaker 9: it makes my brain feel good. And there's this symmetrical
- 1:07:16Speaker 9: pool landing. And then we see through the house, Dakota here,
- 1:07:20Speaker 9: Colin here, fighting across the table in the background. I'm
- 1:07:23Speaker 9: telling you, Brendan Fraser and.
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: Tarzan. It's like the dumbest fight ever.
- 1:07:31Speaker 6: What we saw was a very intense fight on screen,
- 1:07:33Speaker 6: but they were literally arguing about whether or not Brendan
- 1:07:36Speaker 6: Fraser played Tarzan or George of the Jungle.
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: He was George of the Jungle. Hilarious. He was shredded.
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: Did you see them out for their birthday last night?
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift walking to New York, paparazzi everywhere,
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: talking to them.
- 1:07:51Speaker 14: I know.
- 1:07:51Speaker 6: Chris Rock just admitted there is one decision from his
- 1:07:54Speaker 6: past that still haunts him.
- 1:07:57Speaker 10: A guy named Roger Logan, who I grew up with,
- 1:08:00Speaker 10: he's one of my best friend's brothers, went to jail
- 1:08:03Speaker 10: for 19 years for a murder he didn't commit.
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: Here's a weird thing. Yeah.
- 1:08:08Speaker 10: His brother used to plead with me to pay for
- 1:08:11Speaker 10: a lawyer, and I never did it. I always had
- 1:08:13Speaker 10: like a no lawyer thing, like I'll pay your mortgage,
- 1:08:16Speaker 10: I'll put whatever. I always stay out of lawyers because
- 1:08:19Speaker 10: it's so open-ended. It still f * * * s
- 1:08:21Speaker 10: with me. I was like, I had the means to
- 1:08:24Speaker 10: help him, and I didn't.
- 1:08:27Speaker 7: And he said that was tough.
- 1:08:28Speaker 6: The guy eventually got cleared after spending 19 years for
- 1:08:32Speaker 6: that murder that he didn't commit and later received millions
- 1:08:35Speaker 6: of dollars in settlements. But like, Chris Rock was like,
- 1:08:38Speaker 6: I should have helped him while I could. But it
- 1:08:40Speaker 6: was like this policy that he had in his mind,
- 1:08:42Speaker 6: and he just couldn't get past it.
- 1:08:44Speaker 7: But yeah, he still regrets it.
- 1:08:45Speaker 9: Sidney Sweeney and Scooter Braun are taking some major steps
- 1:08:48Speaker 9: towards their future together. So Sidney has met with two
- 1:08:51Speaker 9: rabbis because she is considering converting to Judaism. So they
- 1:08:55Speaker 9: are openly discussing marriage, starting their own family. Scooter is
- 1:08:58Speaker 9: apparently going to propose eventually. the next couple of months.
- 1:09:01Speaker 9: And Sydney's potential conversion is going to be like a
- 1:09:04Speaker 9: huge personal milestone for their relationship. I was like, dang.
- 1:09:08Speaker 10: Okay.
- 1:09:08Speaker 3: Doesn't that make you think of that show? The Netflix show?
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: I was like, I've seen this show before. Nobody wants this.
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: Because I remember in season one or season two, it's
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: like a lot of work to convert.
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:09:18Speaker 3: A lot of work to convert. In fact, I've already
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: seen the trailer for season three.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: I know.
- 1:09:22Speaker 9: It comes out, I think, later this month. In a
- 1:09:24Speaker 9: couple weeks. Yeah, I think so. Asap Rocky, he is
- 1:09:27Speaker 9: paying it forward to the next generation. He announced a
- 1:09:30Speaker 9: four-year full tuition scholarship for a student to attend the
- 1:09:33Speaker 9: Rock Nation School of Music, Sports, and Entertainment at LIU Brooklyn.
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: That's the coolest.
- 1:09:38Speaker 9: So he is going to cover a first-time freshman entering
- 1:09:40Speaker 9: fall in 2027. He said that the initiative is basically
- 1:09:44Speaker 9: just about empowering young creatives to turn their ambition and
- 1:09:47Speaker 9: vision into a reality.
- 1:09:48Speaker 7: I love that.
- 1:09:49Speaker 6: Because don't you remember, I think it was when Chadwick
- 1:09:51Speaker 6: Boseman was accepting one of his awards.
- 1:09:53Speaker 7: He was like.
- 1:09:56Speaker 6: Denzel Washington paid for his college or paid for something
- 1:09:58Speaker 6: of his. And now, it's like this kid's going to
- 1:10:01Speaker 6: be able to say, ASAP Rocky paid for my school.
- 1:10:03Speaker 9: I think that's so awesome when they have the ability
- 1:10:05Speaker 9: to be able to give back like that. Why not?
- 1:10:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:10:08Speaker 9: I think that's great.
- 1:10:08Speaker 7: Very cool.
- 1:10:09Speaker 6: Carly Rae Jepsen fans are basically getting another Me album
- 1:10:12Speaker 6: this Friday. She's dropping eight more songs from her Day
- 1:10:15Speaker 6: and Night era. They're like the unreleased B-sides, including a
- 1:10:20Speaker 6: bunch of songs.
- 1:10:21Speaker 7: One of them is called Yes, and then Wedding Season,
- 1:10:22Speaker 7: and then Next Year.
- 1:10:23Speaker 9: What?
- 1:10:24Speaker 6: She's taking the whole thing on a 26-city North American tour.
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: I was like, why'd you call me? Text me.
- 1:10:30Speaker 7: Maybe that's it.
- 1:10:31Speaker 8: I don't know.
- 1:10:32Speaker 6: I don't have the lyrics to that song yet, but
- 1:10:34Speaker 6: Carly Rae Jepsen fans are very excited. Now, imagine spending
- 1:10:38Speaker 6: money on a concert ticket. And they're not cheap these days, right?
- 1:10:43Speaker 6: someone actually bought a ticket to Logic's concert and stood
- 1:10:46Speaker 6: there in the middle of his set and just kept yelling,
- 1:10:48Speaker 6: this is whack.
- 1:10:49Speaker 7: This is whack.
- 1:10:51Speaker 6: So loud that Logic heard it and stopped down his
- 1:10:54Speaker 6: show to ask the guy what the deal was.
- 1:10:58Speaker 3: No, no, stop the music. This guy, what'd you say?
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: He said it's whack? He said it's whack? No, no,
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: what'd you say? He said it's whack. I just want
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: to know. Don't get mad at him.
- 1:11:08Speaker 5: Are you not having a good time?
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: You're not having a good time?
- 1:11:14Speaker 10: Why are you here?
- 1:11:15Speaker 3: This is a human being with feelings, clearly.
- 1:11:18Speaker 6: He was like, he was entitled to his opinion, but
- 1:11:21Speaker 6: I also do kind of ask that you be respectful.
- 1:11:23Speaker 9: For sure. Halle Berry, she has publicly spoken out, identifying
- 1:11:27Speaker 9: herself as a domestic violence victim shortly after a judge
- 1:11:31Speaker 9: has granted temporary sole decision making custody of her 10-year-old son, Maceo,
- 1:11:35Speaker 9: just last week. So her ex-husband, Oliver Martinez, is the
- 1:11:39Speaker 9: one who has all of custody of him right now.
- 1:11:41Speaker 9: But this is coming months after legal filings where Halle
- 1:11:45Speaker 9: has alleged that Oliver refused to cooperate with court-ordered co-parenting therapy,
- 1:11:50Speaker 9: that he displayed chaotic behavior. So Hallie is sharing that
- 1:11:53Speaker 9: she is continuing to fight for her son's safety and well-being,
- 1:11:57Speaker 9: navigating this emotional toll of the court's latest ruling.
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: Well, I saw it over the weekend. So the son
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: was at her house, and she grabbed him and choked him,
- 1:12:04Speaker 3: and he texted his dad and said, come get me.
- 1:12:07Speaker 3: And then the dad put a restraining order on her.
- 1:12:09Speaker 9: And she said that she did not do that, and
- 1:12:11Speaker 9: that is not the case. So, I mean, just messy.
- 1:12:15Speaker 9: And their poor son, 10 years old, like he's going
- 1:12:17Speaker 9: to really remember this.
- 1:12:19Speaker 8: Olivier, no.
- 1:12:20Speaker 3: That's right. Go ahead. No, no, no. You got it. Go.
- 1:12:24Speaker 3: All right. We got somber tickets. We're going to play
- 1:12:26Speaker 3: a game. We need a contestant. 877-937-1047. We're going to
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: play after somber. All right. We got somber tickets. We'll
- 1:12:41Speaker 3: be here next week. We are playing Resale Prices Right Rich.
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: We have all our contestants on the line ready to go.
- 1:12:46Speaker 3: How do we play this game?
- 1:12:48Speaker 5: Well, I'm going to read some items that I've picked
- 1:12:50Speaker 5: for each of you on the show from things like Craigslist, Depop, Poshmark,
- 1:12:55Speaker 5: all the resale sites. And you will guess what the
- 1:12:58Speaker 5: asking price is. Our contestants will guess if you've gone
- 1:13:02Speaker 5: too high or too low. And that is how we
- 1:13:05Speaker 5: will find our winner. And we're going to start with Megan. Megan,
- 1:13:09Speaker 5: you're our first contestant on Resale Prizes Ride.
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: Come on down.
- 1:13:16Speaker 7: Let's go.
- 1:13:17Speaker 3: Okay, Megan, this item I have found for John J.
- 1:13:20Speaker 3: John J. Van Ness. John J.
- 1:13:23Speaker 5: I know on this show that you've been talking about
- 1:13:25Speaker 5: looking for a non-plastic coffee pot.
- 1:13:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:13:29Speaker 5: And the ones that you found are $ 400- ish, right? $ 495, 000.
- 1:13:34Speaker 3: Not here, pal.
- 1:13:35Speaker 5: Not here. I went on Craigslist in the West Valley.
- 1:13:37Speaker 5: Check this out. Sit your bougie self down. Let's go
- 1:13:41Speaker 5: for a real antique. I found this on Craigslist. It's
- 1:13:44Speaker 5: a broken in speckled gray granite where coffee boiler old
- 1:13:49Speaker 5: school made out of enamel where campfire ready. Maybe it's
- 1:13:53Speaker 5: got a little rust inside, but zero plastic because even
- 1:13:57Speaker 5: cowboys on the range knew that microplastics might screw with
- 1:14:00Speaker 5: their DHEA level someday like you do. and maybe even
- 1:14:03Speaker 5: mess with their whoop strap data. You don't have to
- 1:14:05Speaker 5: worry about that, John Jay. Get the plastic out of
- 1:14:08Speaker 5: my coffee. I got cattle to drive. This thing looks
- 1:14:11Speaker 5: like it survived the Dust Bowl, maybe two world wars.
- 1:14:14Speaker 5: At least four different men named Earl. It is from
- 1:14:16Speaker 5: the 40s. What are they asking for this coffee boiler,
- 1:14:21Speaker 5: John Jay?
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: If it's what I just found in my garage from
- 1:14:23Speaker 3: my son's Eagle Scout days, I feel that that thing
- 1:14:27Speaker 3: is about $ 12. $ 12, says John Jay. Okay, Megan, is
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: he too high or too low?
- 1:14:34Speaker 12: I think he's too low.
- 1:14:36Speaker 5: Actual retail price, $ 65. You are going to the Showcase Showdown, Megan.
- 1:14:42Speaker 7: Yay, good job, Megan.
- 1:14:43Speaker 8: Woo-hoo!
- 1:14:44Speaker 3: Right on, hang on the line. We move on to Sarah. Sarah,
- 1:14:48Speaker 3: you're the next contestant in the retail prizes ride. Come
- 1:14:52Speaker 3: on down.
- 1:14:53Speaker 10: Woo-hoo!
- 1:14:55Speaker 5: Okay, this is for Kyle. Kyle on Craig's list. Kyle,
- 1:14:58Speaker 5: we have solved your, well, I need new mom friends
- 1:15:00Speaker 5: wish list. You know what the answer is? It's pickleball.
- 1:15:04Speaker 5: It's basically LinkedIn for moms. And apparently, now you need lessons.
- 1:15:09Speaker 5: Lessons for pickleball, which seems really easy. A sport where
- 1:15:12Speaker 5: somebody just hands you a paddle, points to a wiffle ball,
- 1:15:15Speaker 5: and two minutes later, you're a pro. But there are lessons.
- 1:15:18Speaker 5: In fact, Adam will find you a screened local coach
- 1:15:21Speaker 5: for private one-on-one lessons so that you can get clubhouse
- 1:15:24Speaker 5: ready to slay that court, Kyle. Learn the game, meet
- 1:15:27Speaker 5: some moms, and within a week, start saying things like, Sorry,
- 1:15:31Speaker 5: I can't.
- 1:15:31Speaker 3: I have to pickle. What do you think one hour
- 1:15:35Speaker 3: lessons of pickleball costs?
- 1:15:37Speaker 6: Okay, so it's for the actual lessons, not for him
- 1:15:39Speaker 6: to find you the lesson.
- 1:15:40Speaker 3: For the actual lessons.
- 1:15:41Speaker 7: Got it. One hour of pickleball lessons. Sounds fancy. I'm
- 1:15:46Speaker 7: going to say that is $ 45, Richard.
- 1:15:47Speaker 8: $ 45.
- 1:15:48Speaker 7: Is Kyle too high or too low, Sarah?
- 1:15:49Speaker 3: Oh, I feel like it's just a little too low.
- 1:15:59Speaker 3: You are correct.
- 1:16:00Speaker 5: They're asking $ 75 an hour, which is preposterous.
- 1:16:01Speaker 3: That's crazy. Especially on Craigslist.
- 1:16:04Speaker 7: Good job, Sarah.
- 1:16:05Speaker 5: But you, too, go in the Showcase Showdown. Okay, Peyton,
- 1:16:09Speaker 5: no pressure, but you are playing for Abby. Abby, you're
- 1:16:12Speaker 5: the next and final contestant on the Resale Prices Ride.
- 1:16:16Speaker 9: Come on down!
- 1:16:19Speaker 3: Okay, Peyton, from Craigslist, it's a book because you're part
- 1:16:22Speaker 3: of a book club.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: Hey!
- 1:16:24Speaker 3: And used books on Craigslist. This is great. This is
- 1:16:26Speaker 3: actually a fitness book, and it's from 1954. It's called... Vintage.
- 1:16:31Speaker 5: Let's Eat Right to Keep Fit from the Golden Age of...
- 1:16:35Speaker 5: When a couple of cigarettes whilst cooking was probably good
- 1:16:38Speaker 5: for the lungs. Crisco was basically a vegetable. And your
- 1:16:41Speaker 5: morning workout was shaking that mercury thermometer. The original owner
- 1:16:45Speaker 5: has since passed, which isn't exactly a five-star review for
- 1:16:48Speaker 5: the program. This is a hardcover book. The condition is fair...
- 1:16:52Speaker 5: How much for the 72-year-old health advice book?
- 1:16:57Speaker 9: On Craigslist?
- 1:16:57Speaker 3: On Craigslist.
- 1:16:58Speaker 9: I'm going to say that health and fitness book goes
- 1:17:01Speaker 9: for $ 15.
- 1:17:02Speaker 3: Okay, Abby, is Peyton too high or too low?
- 1:17:05Speaker 7: That's too low.
- 1:17:07Speaker 3: I'm sorry, you went correct there. I'm only asking.
- 1:17:09Speaker 9: Almost died.
- 1:17:15Speaker 5: Sorry, you were eliminated, Abby. And now we go to
- 1:17:18Speaker 5: the Showcase Showdown with Sarah and Megan. Sarah and Megan,
- 1:17:23Speaker 5: I have asked Kyle before we even started, this is
- 1:17:25Speaker 5: almost like a magic trick, to pick a number between
- 1:17:28Speaker 5: one and ten. So whoever gets the closest without going
- 1:17:34Speaker 5: over wins the prize.
- 1:17:37Speaker 3: Megan, you go first. Five.
- 1:17:38Speaker 10: Oh, sorry.
- 1:17:39Speaker 12: I'm going to say eight.
- 1:17:40Speaker 3: Wait a minute. Megan, what did you say?
- 1:17:44Speaker 12: Megan says eight.
- 1:17:45Speaker 3: Okay. And Sarah, you said what? Five. Five is correct.
- 1:17:48Speaker 3: Sarah wins the Showcase Showdown. All right, Sarah, you're going
- 1:17:53Speaker 3: to go see Somber. Congratulations.
- 1:17:55Speaker 19: Thank you, thank you, thank you.
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: You got it. Speaking of my coffee pot dilemma. You know,
- 1:18:13Speaker 3: I'm essentially new to the coffee world. And so I
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: want to get this coffee pot that has no plastic
- 1:18:18Speaker 3: in it. And someone DM'd me yesterday because I told
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: you the thing I looked at was $ 495. I was like,
- 1:18:22Speaker 3: I don't want to spend that. And someone says, here's
- 1:18:25Speaker 3: what you need. And it was at Creightonboro and it's
- 1:18:28Speaker 3: called the French Press. Oh, yeah. I've heard of that.
- 1:18:31Speaker 3: Those are cheap. I've heard French Press. But so I'm on,
- 1:18:34Speaker 3: I go to Chachapoutin. I'm like, what's the difference between
- 1:18:36Speaker 3: a French Press and a coffee pot? and it explains
- 1:18:39Speaker 3: it all to me, and I don't understand it. And
- 1:18:41Speaker 3: I don't know what else to do when I can't
- 1:18:43Speaker 3: understand Chachapoutis. And I even asked Chachapoutis, can you dumb
- 1:18:46Speaker 3: that down for me? What's the difference?
- 1:18:48Speaker 5: I own one, but mine is plastic, and I got
- 1:18:49Speaker 5: it from Target. It was probably $ 11.
- 1:18:51Speaker 3: This was like $ 40. But I imagine it would be glass.
- 1:18:55Speaker 5: So basically, you know how you put tea bags in
- 1:19:00Speaker 5: water and you let it steep? This is basically a
- 1:19:02Speaker 5: version of that, and it gets your coffee tasting pretty good.
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: You just got to grind your beans. You would need
- 1:19:07Speaker 3: a bean grinder probably, too. I got one of those,
- 1:19:08Speaker 3: and it's plastic. Oh, so you want to or you
- 1:19:11Speaker 3: could buy it already pre ground. You know, you're you're.
- 1:19:14Speaker 3: So what's the coffee pot for the coffee pot?
- 1:19:16Speaker 5: Basically, you put the water in the coffee and at
- 1:19:19Speaker 5: the same time and it sits there like three minutes
- 1:19:22Speaker 5: and it gets perfectly good in the French press.
- 1:19:24Speaker 3: You press it down. You press the grounds down.
- 1:19:26Speaker 5: And what's above that is coffee.
- 1:19:29Speaker 3: Really good tasting coffee. What's faster?
- 1:19:31Speaker 5: It's not slow. It's about three minutes. You can do
- 1:19:33Speaker 5: about three minutes. But you can get a metal French press.
- 1:19:35Speaker 5: Do you understand it? I still don't understand it. I
- 1:19:37Speaker 5: think I need to see it.
- 1:19:38Speaker 7: Yeah, I kind of feel like I need to see it.
- 1:19:40Speaker 7: I'm not a coffee drinker.
- 1:19:41Speaker 3: It's like pumping a well a little bit.
- 1:19:43Speaker 5: It's like you've got a little pusher that pushes the
- 1:19:45Speaker 5: grounds down, and then the water comes up, and then
- 1:19:47Speaker 5: when the water comes up.
- 1:19:48Speaker 3: It's coffee.
- 1:19:48Speaker 6: So a coffee machine, the water drips out of it
- 1:19:52Speaker 6: and turns into coffee. The coffee press, you actually have
- 1:19:55Speaker 6: to let it sit for a while, and then you
- 1:19:57Speaker 6: push it down, and then the coffee comes up?
- 1:20:00Speaker 3: Yes, exactly. What's easy?
- 1:20:02Speaker 9: It says that the biggest difference is how the water
- 1:20:04Speaker 9: interacts with the coffee grounds. So for a coffee pot,
- 1:20:08Speaker 9: hot water passes through the grounds through a paper mesh filter,
- 1:20:12Speaker 9: then drips into the pot. It's usually cleaner, lighter, smoother,
- 1:20:15Speaker 9: and more consistent. A French press. The grounds sit directly
- 1:20:19Speaker 9: in the hot water for about four minutes. Then you
- 1:20:21Speaker 9: push a metal filter down because there is no paper filter.
- 1:20:25Speaker 3: That's right.
- 1:20:25Speaker 9: So more of the coffee's natural oils and tiny particles
- 1:20:28Speaker 9: may stay in your cup.
- 1:20:29Speaker 3: I think it tastes better.
- 1:20:29Speaker 9: It tastes richer, heavier, bolder, and more full-bodied.
- 1:20:32Speaker 5: And you're a black coffee drinker. I think that tastes better.
- 1:20:34Speaker 5: It's just a little bit of a process for you.
- 1:20:36Speaker 3: It just still seems complicated. I need to see it.
- 1:20:39Speaker 3: By the way, if you missed Second Aid Update this morning,
- 1:20:41Speaker 3: you go to John Jay and Rich on Instagram, type
- 1:20:43Speaker 3: in the word date in the most recent post. We'll
- 1:20:45Speaker 3: send it directly to your phone. And it was big.
- 1:20:48Speaker 3: There's lots of people complaining. A lot of people got
- 1:20:50Speaker 3: fired up over that. Your next shot, $ 1, 000 plus a
- 1:20:53Speaker 3: trip to New York for Jingle Ball at Madison Square
- 1:20:55Speaker 3: Garden is less than 20 minutes. You got to keep
- 1:20:56Speaker 3: at least for the keyword. We also got $ 250 from
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: NBC 12 News and The Voice. If you love The Voice,
- 1:21:03Speaker 3: call us right now because we got a trivia question
- 1:21:05Speaker 3: for you and you can win. Also, coming up, what
- 1:21:08Speaker 3: we need to know.
- 1:21:09Speaker 6: There is a newer piece of tech that is already
- 1:21:11Speaker 6: getting banned. I will tell you what you need to
- 1:21:13Speaker 6: know next with John Jay and Rich.
- 1:21:15Speaker 14: Hey.
- 1:21:16Speaker 9: Better wake up.
- 1:21:17Speaker 3: Wake up. We're not.
- 1:21:19Speaker 9: John Jay and Rich wake you up.
- 1:21:21Speaker 3: Cal and Fogg, what do we need to know today?
- 1:21:24Speaker 6: Okay, this is something that's causing a lot of controversy.
- 1:21:27Speaker 6: It's become super viral.
- 1:21:29Speaker 7: I don't know if you guys have seen it. I know, Rich,
- 1:21:30Speaker 7: you have.
- 1:21:30Speaker 6: We were just talking about it this morning. There's a
- 1:21:32Speaker 6: video of an ASU student. Her name is Erin Bonner,
- 1:21:34Speaker 6: and she's getting arrested on Mill Avenue. And this video
- 1:21:37Speaker 6: is blowing up.
- 1:21:38Speaker 7: Once you see it.
- 1:21:39Speaker 6: you kind of understand why people have so many opinions
- 1:21:42Speaker 6: about it. So the video kind of starts when police
- 1:21:44Speaker 6: are arresting two guys that she knew.
- 1:21:46Speaker 7: They were in a fight. She kept coming over.
- 1:21:48Speaker 6: And kind of yelling at the officers to let one
- 1:21:50Speaker 6: of the guys go. Police repeatedly told her to back up.
- 1:21:53Speaker 6: And at one point, though, an officer literally shoves her
- 1:21:56Speaker 6: to the ground. She gets back up to approach him again.
- 1:21:59Speaker 6: Then things get physical. The video then shows her being
- 1:22:03Speaker 6: thrown into a police bike on the ground. There is
- 1:22:05Speaker 6: a struggle where she's hitting the officer multiple times. And
- 1:22:08Speaker 6: then he clocks her right in the face, which is
- 1:22:12Speaker 6: why you can hear the outrage.
- 1:22:15Speaker 7: That's what's coming from.
- 1:22:16Speaker 6: She now has a lawyer who says what we're seeing
- 1:22:19Speaker 6: on this video is excessive force. He wants the officer
- 1:22:21Speaker 6: or she wants the officer fired. And police are saying
- 1:22:24Speaker 6: you have to look at everything that happened and not
- 1:22:27Speaker 6: just the viral clips. She is now facing two misdemeanor charges,
- 1:22:31Speaker 6: which she has pled not guilty to. And the Tempe
- 1:22:33Speaker 6: Police Department says they are reviewing whether the officer's actions.
- 1:22:36Speaker 7: Were appropriate or not. It is intense. It's tough to watch.
- 1:22:41Speaker 3: It's violent.
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:22:42Speaker 3: Well, she's interfering with an arrest or something, right? I mean,
- 1:22:47Speaker 3: the cop is doing his job and she's getting away.
- 1:22:49Speaker 3: And these cops put their life on the line. I
- 1:22:51Speaker 3: haven't seen the video.
- 1:22:52Speaker 7: You've got to watch the video.
- 1:22:53Speaker 3: But these cops put their life on the line every
- 1:22:54Speaker 3: single day. They don't know if she's got a knife
- 1:22:56Speaker 3: or a gun or a grenade.
- 1:22:58Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:22:58Speaker 3: I mean, I haven't seen it yet.
- 1:22:59Speaker 6: You should watch the video. Definitely watch the video. But
- 1:23:02Speaker 6: I know what you're saying. They're saying there's two sides
- 1:23:05Speaker 6: to the story right now, so people are arguing both ways.
- 1:23:09Speaker 6: It's really tough to watch, though. If you are job
- 1:23:11Speaker 6: hunting right now and staring at listings thinking, I don't
- 1:23:14Speaker 6: even know if I even qualify for this, LinkedIn wants
- 1:23:17Speaker 6: AI to figure it out for you. So they are
- 1:23:19Speaker 6: adding an AI career coach that.
- 1:23:22Speaker 7: Can look at your experience.
- 1:23:23Speaker 6: And kind of already knows your personality and suggest jobs
- 1:23:27Speaker 6: you might actually be fit for, tell you what skills
- 1:23:30Speaker 6: you're missing and even help you kind of get ready
- 1:23:31Speaker 6: for the interview, which I think is pretty cool.
- 1:23:33Speaker 3: That'd be fun for all of us to do is
- 1:23:35Speaker 3: to tell us what jobs we should really have. That'd
- 1:23:37Speaker 3: be great. How do you do it?
- 1:23:39Speaker 7: Definitely not qualified for that.
- 1:23:41Speaker 3: What do you do again? How do you do it?
- 1:23:42Speaker 3: What do you do?
- 1:23:42Speaker 7: You go on LinkedIn and they have like a new
- 1:23:44Speaker 7: AI career.
- 1:23:45Speaker 3: I don't have a LinkedIn. Rich, you have a LinkedIn.
- 1:23:48Speaker 3: Find out what you should really be doing and then
- 1:23:49Speaker 3: go do it. I'll do it. My friend John Jay
- 1:23:53Speaker 3: doesn't even have a LinkedIn. What should he do? Do
- 1:23:55Speaker 3: you guys have LinkedIn?
- 1:23:56Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:23:57Speaker 3: I don't know. Maybe.
- 1:23:58Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 1:23:59Speaker 3: So if you have one, Peyton, you have one, Rich,
- 1:24:01Speaker 3: you guys should do it for fun. See what it says. Okay.
- 1:24:04Speaker 6: If your kid has ever asked to use ChatGPT and
- 1:24:07Speaker 6: you've thought, I don't think you're old enough for that.
- 1:24:08Speaker 7: I don't know if that's appropriate. OpenAI is like, let's
- 1:24:11Speaker 7: make it appropriate.
- 1:24:12Speaker 6: So they just launched ChatGPT Junior specifically for kids under 13. Apparently,
- 1:24:18Speaker 6: there are stronger filters, parental controls. You can actually link
- 1:24:21Speaker 6: their account to yours. and set whatever limits and control
- 1:24:24Speaker 6: certain features that you want.
- 1:24:26Speaker 3: The robots are everywhere. All the stuff I ask chat
- 1:24:28Speaker 3: GPT is pretty much the education level of someone 13
- 1:24:31Speaker 3: and under. Right.
- 1:24:33Speaker 8: Okay.
- 1:24:34Speaker 7: We all know AI glasses, they're around.
- 1:24:36Speaker 6: They are somewhat becoming a normal thing people wear, but
- 1:24:40Speaker 6: they are already.
- 1:24:41Speaker 7: getting banned in places.
- 1:24:42Speaker 6: A lot of places already have signs up saying, yeah,
- 1:24:45Speaker 6: you can't wear those in here. Specifically, Norway is leading
- 1:24:48Speaker 6: the charge in this, moving to a temporary ban in
- 1:24:50Speaker 6: certain public places. Because if somebody walks in wearing those glasses,
- 1:24:54Speaker 6: people around them may have no idea that they're being recorded.
- 1:24:57Speaker 7: And that's not really cool.
- 1:24:58Speaker 6: So you may actually start seeing signs pop up in gyms.
- 1:25:02Speaker 6: You might see them in restaurants that say, no AI glasses,
- 1:25:05Speaker 6: no phone. It's kind of like, you know, no phones
- 1:25:07Speaker 6: at school, like no AI glasses at schools as well.
- 1:25:10Speaker 7: So just, Keep an eye out for those.
- 1:25:12Speaker 6: This is super cool and something that we will continue
- 1:25:15Speaker 6: to follow. An Arizona singer, she's actually from Tucson. Her
- 1:25:18Speaker 6: name is Kaylee Matthews. She was on The Voice last
- 1:25:21Speaker 6: night and she performed. It's their blind auditions right now.
- 1:25:25Speaker 6: So she's on the stage. The four judges or coaches
- 1:25:29Speaker 6: are turned around. She sings Vince Gill's When I Call
- 1:25:32Speaker 6: Your Name. And before she even gets through the chorus,
- 1:25:36Speaker 6: every single coach had turned for her.
- 1:25:44Speaker 9: Thank you.
- 1:25:56Speaker 7: All four chairs turn around.
- 1:25:57Speaker 6: You got Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, Riley Greene, and Queen
- 1:26:00Speaker 6: Latifah all fighting over her. And then it comes down to, well,
- 1:26:03Speaker 6: she has to pick which coach she wants to work with.
- 1:26:07Speaker 20: I got to just go with my heart and my
- 1:26:09Speaker 20: gut and what I know. And I would love the
- 1:26:13Speaker 20: opportunity to work with Queen Latifah.
- 1:26:14Speaker 16: Whoa. I'm excited to work with country. I love country music,
- 1:26:21Speaker 16: but she's beyond country. Country is also soul, rhythm, blues.
- 1:26:26Speaker 16: You know, I'm just here to make sure that she
- 1:26:28Speaker 16: has fuel and play.
- 1:26:30Speaker 8: Go.
- 1:26:31Speaker 6: So the blind auditions actually end tonight, and it'll be
- 1:26:34Speaker 6: interesting to watch Kaylee's journey.
- 1:26:36Speaker 7: See, the Arizona girly competes. Pretty fun.
- 1:26:38Speaker 3: She sounds great.
- 1:26:39Speaker 7: Yeah, and that's what you need to know.
- 1:26:41Speaker 3: Ashley.
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: Yes, hi.
- 1:26:43Speaker 3: Speaking of The Voice, we have a $ 250 gift card.
- 1:26:47Speaker 3: If you get this voice question right. Rich, what do
- 1:26:50Speaker 3: you got?
- 1:26:51Speaker 5: Contested Brandon Diaz, Ashley Diaz first appeared on The Voice
- 1:26:55Speaker 5: season four when he was 14 years old. He did
- 1:26:59Speaker 5: not get a chair turn, but he's back this season
- 1:27:02Speaker 5: and gets two of the coaches to turn their chairs
- 1:27:04Speaker 5: with the other two regretting that they didn't push their buttons. Now,
- 1:27:07Speaker 5: Brandon goes with his gut and picks the coach that
- 1:27:10Speaker 5: turned first.
- 1:27:12Speaker 3: Which coach was it?
- 1:27:16Speaker 17: Oh, you broke out on the last one.
- 1:27:17Speaker 14: Was the question, what coach.
- 1:27:19Speaker 9: Did he pick?
- 1:27:20Speaker 3: Which coach did he pick?
- 1:27:23Speaker 7: Okay. Queen Latifah.
- 1:27:29Speaker 3: Queen Latifah.
- 1:27:30Speaker 2: And Adam Tern.
- 1:27:31Speaker 3: Well, you are right. He did pick Queen Latifah, so
- 1:27:34Speaker 3: that means you win.
- 1:27:35Speaker 11: Way to go, Ashley.
- 1:27:35Speaker 3: Way to go. Yeah, the voice is back.
- 1:27:38Speaker 12: Adam turned and Queen Latifah and he picked Queen Latifah.
- 1:27:41Speaker 3: That's right.
- 1:27:41Speaker 5: Watch and listen to The Voice and listen to us
- 1:27:44Speaker 5: every morning for a chance to win $ 250. Don't miss
- 1:27:47Speaker 5: The Voice tonight at 7 on NBC 12 News.
