Transcript
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: Hello everyone.
- 0:03SPEAKER_00: Welcome back to Crushing Strongholds.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: This is a place where we turn pain into power, trauma into triumph, and a place where we can expose the lives of the enemy and all of the curses that have been upon us.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: And you know, how do we do that?
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: How how does it how does that work?
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: Well, it works through equipping believers to walk in lasting freedom through the grace and the power of Jesus Christ.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: That's how it works, okay?
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: And you see your voice and your testimony, it it matters because it it definitely dismantles strongholds.
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: And that's what this podcast is about, and that's the heart of this podcast.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: We want to dismantle strongholds that keep people um stuck and um confused and miserable, and whatever, whatever you're going through, we want to break that off.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: We want to bring joy and peace and happiness and love.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: And um, again, that's what crushing strongholds is.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: So, welcome in, everybody.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: My name is Mickey.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: I'm a Christian life coach, and I am your host today.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: So we are on day five.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: Day five already, can you believe it?
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: We passed the middle mark of our seven-day challenge workshop on overflow.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: I'm super excited about today's topic.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: Today, we are talking about guarding your cup.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: So, as we've been talking about our cup filling up, our cup um flowing over, and where does the source come from that we put into our cup, as well as um are we blocking the flow so we can't even get anything in our cup?
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: We've been talking about a lot of overflow today.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: And as we continue, we have two more days after this, um, as we start to wrap up um the conversation.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: But today I want to talk about um the guard.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: What are we guarding?
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: Okay, we need to protect our cup.
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: And that that might sound like, well, what are you talking about?
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: So I have a question to ask you.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: Do you have a favorite cup that you drink out of?
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: Like a favorite coffee cup or a water cup or like a soda cup or whatever it is that you drink throughout the day.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: Do you have a favorite cup?
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: So when you go to the cupboard, that's your cup, and everyone around you and everyone in the household knows not to drink out of that cup because it's your cup.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: Do you have that?
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: Well, I live in a household with nine people, and you might say, well, and that's including myself, but nine, there's nine of us.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: And I don't know about you.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: I have a few cups that I drink out of.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: I have one for tea, and I don't drink coffee, but I have one for tea and hot cocoa.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: I have one for um water, you know, I have one if I drink soda.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: Um, it just depends on what I'm drinking.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: But I have a cup, I just have a couple of cups in the cupboard that are mine.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: And I cringe when I go and I see someone drinking out of my cup.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, oh no, that's my cup.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: And and it's not that I'm stingy or selfish, but um, I just think it's kind of weird to do that.
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: Now, if it was the only cup in the house and we didn't have any cups other than one, I would I wouldn't mind sharing it.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: I mean, I'm I'm really not stingy, but they have their own cups, so and I don't use their cups, so I don't want them using mine.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: So I don't want to sound like, I don't know, ungrateful or like like I wouldn't share with anybody because I would, but I do kind of cringe when I see people drinking out of my cup.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: So I was thinking about that in this message because um there's a point in time in my life where, which I've talked about before, is you know, when I'm constantly drained and mentally and emotionally and you know, spiritually, I'm just drained and I need my cup to be refilled, okay?
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: Um, but if I'm not guarding my cup, someone else could be drinking it, someone else could be using it.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: So as I'm as you know, I always pour into other people's cups.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: I don't mind sharing, like like I said, but um how many times have you poured out into someone else's cup, but your cup stayed empty?
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: You just kept giving and giving and giving and giving.
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: Um, so there's a couple ways that we need to learn to guard our cup, okay?
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: One, we need to recognize what our cup is, and then we need to protect it.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: We need to protect what's coming in and what's going out.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: Because if we don't, then it's kind of like the trash man.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: Like we just go and fill up with trash, and then we dump trash, and we fill up with trash, and we dump trash.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: That's not the purpose of our cup.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: God doesn't give us trash, he gives us treasures.
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: And so we need to be very careful and very mindful when we're when we're thinking about um filling up our cup, because we need to know what's in it and what we're pouring out of it, and we need to know where it's at, okay?
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: Um, it's kind of like when you fill up your cup and let's say you have a you have your cup full and you spill the whole thing, and you're like, oh man.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: I mean, I don't know about you, but um my daughter loves to go to Dutch Bros all the time.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: She buys these big drinks, right?
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: And there's a couple of times when she would call me and she'd just be really, really irritated.
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: And I'd be like, What's the matter?
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: And she she would tell me, I just went to Dutch Bros.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: I just paid X amount of dollars for this big drink, and it spilt all over.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: It's gone, it's completely empty.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: And she'd be really discouraged about that.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: And she should be, you know.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: Um, she took the time to go and get it, and you know, the gas and the mileage and whatever in her day, and then she paid for it, and she wanted to drink it and enjoy it, and she didn't get to because it went to waste.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: So when we're guarding our cup, we need to think of that as well.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: We don't want to be wasteful.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: Um, so not only are we going to protect what's going in our cup, but we need to protect what we're doing with our cup.
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: We don't want it just to spill over randomly wherever.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: We need to be protective and guard our cup, okay?
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: Um, we also need to make sure that when we're protecting our cup, we set boundaries.
- 6:30SPEAKER_00: And what does that look like?
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: Well, for me, um, I had to set boundaries with without guilt, without guilt.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: Because I used to be like wanting to pour my cup out on everyone and everything, and then and then sometimes people would just expect me to continue to pour out something that I didn't have because I was empty.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: And then I'd feel guilty about it because I couldn't provide or I couldn't do or whatever, and it it would really bother me.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: So I had to learn to say um no, you know.
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: You know, you can't take your car and drive it down the road and um give someone a ride if you don't have any gasoline.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: So it's okay to say no, and it's okay to say no without guilt, because that's that's protecting and guarding your cup.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: Because sometimes your cup needs rest.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: You need a rest so that God can replenish you and God can fill you with what He wants you to have.
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: So I think about these things in this mix, and we're gonna look at some scriptures here, and I can't wait to dive in because um I'm gonna try and go a little bit fast because I don't want to take up your whole day, but I have four scriptures and I really want to get through them.
- 7:40SPEAKER_00: So if you guys, you know, if you have your Bibles, please get them out.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: I have my Bible right here, and excuse me, get them in your hand so that way you can actually read the word for yourself.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: And I am gonna go kind of quickly, but if you need to um, you know, go back and watch this part of the podcast again, you can because I'm gonna share the scriptures with you.
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: I have them all marked in my Bible, but I also have them in my notes, so I am gonna go a little bit quickly.
- 8:10SPEAKER_00: So the first scripture I want to talk about today is Psalms 37.4.
- 8:14SPEAKER_00: Okay, 37.4.
- 8:16SPEAKER_00: And it says, Um, delight yourself also in the Lord, and he shall give you the desires of your heart.
- 8:24SPEAKER_00: You know, God wants to give us what we desire.
- 8:29SPEAKER_00: So if I want to go to Dutch Bros and spend ten dollars on a big old whatever drink, okay, um, God doesn't care if you do that.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: I mean, he doesn't care if you do that.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: He wants to give you the desires of your heart.
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you like it, and it's something that you you get to enjoy.
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: And maybe it's a your perk in the day, and that maybe that's something that you reward yourself with from working long hours or whatever it whatever it is that you do.
- 8:56SPEAKER_00: See, God doesn't want to take things away from us, he wants us to have um the desires of our heart, but we also have to delight in him in order to get that.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: So if we want to desire things, um, we need to be focused on God and obedient.
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: And then God's got God's not gonna have a problem with us doing certain things.
- 9:17SPEAKER_00: He's not trying to take away freedom or any of that.
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: Matter of fact, he's trying to give us freedom.
- 9:22SPEAKER_00: So some people go, oh man, that you know, being obedient to God is like taking a taking so much away.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: Um, it may look like that in the beginning, but it's really not like that.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: Um, God is definitely not um a God that forces anything, and he doesn't like he's not gonna take away your freedom when you serve him, okay?
- 9:45SPEAKER_00: It in fact he's gonna give you a lot of it.
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: So we're gonna look at Matthew 6.33, and um, I'm just gonna turn there real fast, real fast, real fast.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: Okay, because I am like really on it today with this scripture.
- 9:57SPEAKER_00: Okay, Matthew uh 6.33, it says, but seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all of these things will be added to you.
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: Okay, so if you seek the kingdom first and God's righteousness, he's gonna keep adding to your cup.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: So one way we get to protect and guard our cup is by what we're seeking out to put in our cup, and we want God's um um righteousness over us, and we want to know that his kingdom is at hand and um it's accessible to us.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: So if we're not seeking that and um delighting ourselves in it, as Psalm said, then um we're missing the boat.
- 10:47SPEAKER_00: We're really not guarding our cup.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: We're putting in everything from the world, and we're gonna go into that too when we look at Jeremiah.
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: That's the next scripture.
- 10:55SPEAKER_00: Jeremiah 17, 9.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: Now listen to this.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: It says the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: Who can know it?
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: See, our hearts, because we live in the world, we were born into sin.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we're gonna desire things of this world because we can be deceived.
- 11:15SPEAKER_00: We, you know, look at Adam and Eve.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: They were received, they were deceived by a snake over an apple, and look all of the mess it made.
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: So that's how easily we can be deceived, and that's how easily our heart can turn into wickedness, that easily, that quickly.
- 11:33SPEAKER_00: So if we keep our eyes and our focus on God, um above all things, okay, we need to understand that we can steer clear from the wickedness if we're paying attention to it.
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: Because if we're paying attention to the world and everything that's going on, um, and you know, stay in God's word and do what he says, we're gonna see, we're gonna see the enemy when he comes around.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: You're gonna see the snake.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: You know, it won't be so deceiving because you're gonna be aware of it and you're gonna be paying attention to it because you want to protect and guard what's going into your cup.
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: So I think that's really important to know.
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: It says, who can know it?
- 12:15SPEAKER_00: Who can know it?
- 12:16SPEAKER_00: Who knows if the enemy's deceiving you or not?
- 12:19SPEAKER_00: If you're in the word of God, you're gonna know it.
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: You'll you're gonna recognize it.
- 12:23SPEAKER_00: You'll learn the difference between righteousness and evil and wickedness.
- 12:27SPEAKER_00: So we gotta be really careful with that.
- 12:29SPEAKER_00: Okay, moving on.
- 12:30SPEAKER_00: Like I said, we have a lot of scripture today.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: I don't want to keep you all day, so let's get to moving.
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: So John 10.
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, John 10 10, whoops, need to turn my page real quick.
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: Okay, now this should be a very familiar scripture to most Christians.
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: They don't they know this um scripture.
- 12:49SPEAKER_00: So John 10 10 says, the thief does not come except to steal, to kill, and to destroy.
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: There's that word, abundantly.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: So, how do we get overflow right here?
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: Okay, we need to know who we're getting it from.
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: If we're if if we're allowing the enemy to come, he's not giving and pouring into us, he's coming to kill, steal, and destroy anything and everything in our lives.
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: He's destructive, he's not doing anything for our good.
- 13:32SPEAKER_00: And God, on the other hand, is completely opposite of that.
- 13:35SPEAKER_00: He literally has come to give us life and have it more, I love that, more abundantly, not just abundantly, but even more so.
- 13:45SPEAKER_00: So, today I want you guys to do this, okay?
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: When we jump into our challenge, okay.
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: We need to look at a couple of things um when regarding ourselves.
- 13:58SPEAKER_00: Did you know that when you allow certain things to come into your cup, um, it can actually make you ill?
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: Um, it can bog you down, it can um just like drinking out of a dirty cup.
- 14:13SPEAKER_00: Have you ever gone and got your cup out of out of the sink and and you didn't wash it, you just rinsed it out and you drank it?
- 14:18SPEAKER_00: Well, that can make you really sick if you're not washing the cup, if you're not cleaning it, if you're not taking care of it.
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: Again, part of guarding it.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: Um, one that would be a really good way to guard your cup is by keeping it clean.
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: So um you have to be careful when we're dealing with people and circumstances that we're only allowing the flow of God to fill our cup up.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: Because, for one, when we want to pour out onto others, we have to be careful and prone to the deception and the wickedness, so that we're not taking that dirt and that filth and and and the vile stuff that could be going into our cup and pouring that out onto others.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: So we got to be really careful about that.
- 15:00SPEAKER_00: It's super important that we pay attention to that.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: So we need to understand that the enemy is not our friend and he has nothing in mind for our goodness.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: We need to literally keep illness, we need to keep deceit away, keep it completely away.
- 15:20SPEAKER_00: So if we keep our eyes on God, we're less likely to allow our cup to be filled with that evil.
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: So just remember that today, okay?
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: That's how we protect our cup.
- 15:31SPEAKER_00: So today's daily challenge: take 10 or 15 minutes, no distractions, no phones.
- 15:35SPEAKER_00: Okay, we've said this, this is the fifth time we've said that this this week, because it's important that you learn to take time for God.
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: And God wants you to be part of that, He wants you in it.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: Okay, He wants to spend that time with you.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: Um, stop and think of all of the negative impact that the enemy tries to use in your daily life.
- 16:02SPEAKER_00: What does that look like?
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: Have you been up against the wall?
- 16:06SPEAKER_00: Are you battling anything?
- 16:09SPEAKER_00: What does your cup look like?
- 16:11SPEAKER_00: Is it full of goodness, mercy, and grace?
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: Or is there some evil in there?
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: Okay, my cup, um, depending on the day and what I was up against or struggling with or going through, um, it varied across the board.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: My cup wasn't always a pleasant cup to drink.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: Sometimes it was the poison.
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: And I didn't know it.
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: I I didn't recognize it.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 16:39SPEAKER_00: So what is in your cup?
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: Once you think about that today, I want you to think about it.
- 16:45SPEAKER_00: And then I challenge you over the next 24 hours.
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: This is a this is a big challenge, even though it's small, okay?
- 16:53SPEAKER_00: No homework, it's just just a challenge.
- 16:56SPEAKER_00: Over the next 24 hours, turn off the negativity, all of it.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: It's not acceptable.
- 17:05SPEAKER_00: Um, we're not gonna put up with it, and how are you gonna handle it?
- 17:08SPEAKER_00: Because you we know we know that negativity exists and it and it can show itself anytime it wants to.
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: Um sometimes I'm at home, I'm having a good day, and one of the kids will come home from school, and they are just in the worst mood, and they're cranky, and they're they're irritable, and they're griping, and they're groaning, and excuse me, and nothing has just gone right for them.
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: So um it kind of takes my day, my the happiness of my day, and it kind of puts a damper on it.
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: Now I can I can let that affect me negatively, or I can let it affect me positively.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: It's not my day that's going bad, it's it's their day.
- 17:48SPEAKER_00: But do I jump on the the the let's have a bad day wagon, or do I um think about the negativity and try to help you know the other person?
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: Hey, this is what you're going through.
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry I had a bad day.
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: What can I do to make it better?
- 18:02SPEAKER_00: Let's make it better so the negativity can go away.
- 18:05SPEAKER_00: How are we gonna address it?
- 18:06SPEAKER_00: And um sometimes we allow other people's negativity to affect us, and we don't want to do that, we want to shut down all negativity for 24 hours.
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: It's kind of like shut the door, lock it, and nothing else can enter.
- 18:19SPEAKER_00: And so I want to see if you can do that today.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: That is your challenge today.
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: And again, it doesn't seem like a hard challenge, but as soon as you start thinking about it, things happen.
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: I'm not even kidding you.
- 18:33SPEAKER_00: They they literally will happen, okay?
- 18:36SPEAKER_00: Um, anyway, I want to get going here.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: Okay, so before we close in prayer, I want to ask you guys to do me a favor.
- 18:44SPEAKER_00: Wherever you're watching this podcast from, I need you to go in and like it, share it, or like it, comment, and share it with five people or more, but five.
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: At least five, okay?
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: Share it with five people.
- 18:58SPEAKER_00: Now, I don't know about you.
- 18:59SPEAKER_00: If you're going around every day going, hey, I'm, you know, I just listened to this podcast and I'm learning about overflow.
- 19:05SPEAKER_00: Today we're talking about guarding our cup and protecting ourselves from the enemy so that we can we can flow onto others um um that that good fruit that we want to give to people, not the poisonous fruit.
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: So I wanted to share that with you.
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: A lot of people don't do that, so just share it.
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: I'll do it for you.
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: Okay, that's what I'm doing.
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: That's what this podcast is all about, overflow.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: And that's why God laid it on my heart to pour out for seven days, seven straight days.
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: And I just pray that He just blesses this week.
- 19:37SPEAKER_00: And it's been a challenge because I usually only podcast once a week.
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: So this has been huge for me, but I am I've enjoyed it so much because I'm pouring out onto others, and I would like you to do the same thing.
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: And then if you want, you can comment and you know, say anything, give me, you know, give me your feedback if you like too.
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: I'd appreciate that.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: So um, overflow starts with sharing and engaging.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: Get involved, get in your word, share the scripture, just share what God lays on your heart, share what God's doing in your life, okay?
- 20:07SPEAKER_00: The enemy hates it, by the way.
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: That's one way to shut off the negativity.
- 20:11SPEAKER_00: Um, so sharing um the word of God and engaging, okay?
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: Participate in it.
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: Okay, that's why I'm giving you a challenge.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: I need you to do the work, I need you to participate.
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: Okay, let's jump into prayer real quick so we can um shut this down um today so that we you can focus on shutting out the negativity.
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: Okay, so let's pray.
- 20:33SPEAKER_00: Dear Heavenly Father, God, Lord, we just thank you, Lord, for this day.
- 20:36SPEAKER_00: Um, Lord, not or Lord, help us not to be affected by the enemy.
- 20:41SPEAKER_00: God, please, Lord.
- 20:42SPEAKER_00: Um, help us recognize the enemy.
- 20:45SPEAKER_00: And um we know, Lord, that the enemy only wants to bring us harm, but you want to bring us what is good.
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: Okay, we know this, Lord, and we just ask that you just help us guard our cup.
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: Help us so that when we overflow onto others, we're not spewing out poison, Lord.
- 21:01SPEAKER_00: Help us to see the difference between the good and the evil, Lord.
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: Help us to see that.
- 21:07SPEAKER_00: Lord, we just thank you for always replenishing us, helping us keep going and overflowing in your love and mercy and grace.
- 21:15SPEAKER_00: And Lord, help us to say no when we need to say no.
- 21:17SPEAKER_00: Help us to recognize there's no guilt in that.
- 21:20SPEAKER_00: There's no guilt in guarding our own cup and protecting ourselves from whatever depletes us, Lord.
- 21:28SPEAKER_00: We don't need to be depleted.
- 21:30SPEAKER_00: There's a balance to everything, God.
- 21:31SPEAKER_00: And I know that that your your word shares that with us and it teaches us, Lord.
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: And I just thank you so much for everything that you pour out to us, Lord.
- 21:41SPEAKER_00: And Lord, we just thank you.
- 21:43SPEAKER_00: Thank you for overflow.
- 21:44SPEAKER_00: We thank you for protection and provision.
- 21:46SPEAKER_00: Um, as we as we learn to seek you, Lord, please guard our cup so we can be diligent in overflowing onto others.
- 21:54SPEAKER_00: We love you, God.
- 21:55SPEAKER_00: We love you so much.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: We just ask that you just be with us today and help us stay away.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: From the negativity.
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: Help us to recognize negativity so we can shut the door and lock it.
- 22:04SPEAKER_00: So it can't enter, it can't affect us, and we know how to handle it without it without it having or or imposing negativity on ourselves.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: Lord, we just thank you so much for today.
- 22:15SPEAKER_00: We thank you for this podcast.
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: Thank you for everyone that's listening.
- 22:18SPEAKER_00: Lord, I just ask that you bless them and just give them a little extra, um, a little extra little push and a little extra overflow of your blessing, Lord.
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: We just thank you, Lord.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
- 22:30SPEAKER_00: So if you prayed that, thank you.
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: I I appreciate you all being here.
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: I do want to share real quickly, so I before we get off here, um, the salvation prayer, because I don't know if everyone who's listening is a Christian or not, or if you know Jesus.
- 22:44SPEAKER_00: So I'm just gonna read the sinner's prayer and I want you to say it out loud.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: See, the enemy cannot hear our thoughts, but he can hear what comes out of our mouth.
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: So when we pray this prayer, it's really important to pray it out loud because it sends the enemy away.
- 22:57SPEAKER_00: Okay?
- 22:57SPEAKER_00: Because anytime we say the name of Jesus, the enemy has to flee.
- 23:00SPEAKER_00: So I want to say the salvation prayer, and if you're not saved, say it along with me.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: Okay?
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: Dear God, I come to you admitting that I am a sinner.
- 23:09SPEAKER_00: I believe that your son, Jesus, died on the cross to take away my sin.
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: I also believe he rose from the dead so I can be justified and made righteous through faith in him.
- 23:20SPEAKER_00: Jesus, I chose to follow you, and I ask that you fill me with the power of the Holy Spirit.
- 23:26SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Lord.
- 23:27SPEAKER_00: Thank you for saving me.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: Amen.
- 23:30SPEAKER_00: Congratulations if you just prayed that prayer.
- 23:32SPEAKER_00: Well, welcome to the to the family.
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: Now you're in the kingdom.
- 23:36SPEAKER_00: Um, if you did pray that prayer, please go on to CrushingStrongholds.com.
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: Go in and fill out the welcome information and put in the notes, I accepted Jesus.
- 23:45SPEAKER_00: And if you do that, I'm gonna send you a gift, okay?
- 23:48SPEAKER_00: I I want to um welcome anybody and everybody that that um accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
- 23:54SPEAKER_00: Now, the other thing I want to tell you is if you are new as a Christian or you just prayed that prayer, the best place to start in the Word of God, right here, is to me, I this is what I believe, is in the Gospels, okay?
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: It's um in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
- 24:09SPEAKER_00: Those are the four gospels.
- 24:10SPEAKER_00: It's a great place to start.
- 24:12SPEAKER_00: Not that the whole Bible's not great, it is, but the more you learn about Jesus, being that you just accepted him as your savior, the better off you're gonna be.
- 24:20SPEAKER_00: So I think that's really important.
- 24:21SPEAKER_00: It's also important to get into a word-believing church so that you can learn and grow.
- 24:26SPEAKER_00: Discipleship is also important.
- 24:28SPEAKER_00: Um, I wish growing up early on, people would have taught me, taught me, taught me, taught me how to um get discipled when I was really young, right after I got saved.
- 24:42SPEAKER_00: I got saved at 10 years old, but I didn't get discipleship until years, years, years later.
- 24:46SPEAKER_00: And so I feel like I lost some of some of that time.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: So anyway, do that and seek it out.
- 24:51SPEAKER_00: And um, no matter where you're at, God wants to meet you where you are.
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: So thank you again for joining me today on this um this episode, day five, day five, day five.
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: And we have day six coming up tomorrow.
- 25:02SPEAKER_00: I'm super excited about that.
- 25:04SPEAKER_00: So tune in tomorrow.
- 25:05SPEAKER_00: We have two more days left.
- 25:07SPEAKER_00: And oh my gosh, I can't believe the week is almost over.
- 25:10SPEAKER_00: It's just been so exciting, very invigorating, and I just can't believe we've actually been able to finish this.
- 25:17SPEAKER_00: So, again, thank you for joining us in um another episode of Cross You Strongholds.
- 25:22SPEAKER_00: God bless you and take care.
