- 0:00Speaker 1: Mister New York Mark Simone. He's on seven tenon Hey.
- 0:11Speaker 1: A lot going on now, there's a it's a pretty
- 0:13Speaker 1: bad situation there. Forty second Street between second and third.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Stay away from that area. Forty second three between second
- 0:22Speaker 1: and third. There's remember the Peiser building, Pfiser headquarters was
- 0:28Speaker 1: on that block, and it's a big skyscraper. Well, Pfizer's
- 0:31Speaker 1: I guess, moved out and they've been doing massive construction
- 0:34Speaker 1: in that building and the building became unstable and started
- 0:40Speaker 1: to buckle. I mean the support beams were actually buckling
- 0:45Speaker 1: as the construction was going on, and floors started to
- 0:48Speaker 1: cave in in this building and bricks flying off the building. Now,
- 0:54Speaker 1: luckily all the construction workers managed to get out of
- 0:56Speaker 1: the building safely, but the whole block is closed. The
- 1:01Speaker 1: area around there is massive chaos. It's fire trucks and
- 1:05Speaker 1: emergency vehicles. Forty second between second and third, So you
- 1:09Speaker 1: don't want to go anywhere near there. And that's a
- 1:11Speaker 1: busy area with the un and everything. I used to
- 1:13Speaker 1: work on that block forty second between second and third
- 1:18Speaker 1: when I first came to New York, I was on
- 1:19Speaker 1: WPIX FM. You remember that station, Well, it was in
- 1:23Speaker 1: the Daily News building because it was owned by the
- 1:25Speaker 1: Daily News, then the largest newspaper in America. And that
- 1:30Speaker 1: was forty second between second and third, right across from
- 1:32Speaker 1: the Speiser building. And then next door is the hotel.
- 1:36Speaker 1: It was the Helmsley Hotel. It's called something else. Now
- 1:39Speaker 1: what else on that block? That's the two biggest landmarks
- 1:43Speaker 1: on that block. And then actually forty second and third, Yeah,
- 1:49Speaker 1: I worked on that corner too. That's where WNW was.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Forty second and third, that's the building where the Autumn
- 1:55Speaker 1: at was, So I know that block. Well, it'll be
- 1:59Speaker 1: a close. This is a bad, bad situation. It's a
- 2:03Speaker 1: big skyscraper, support beams, buckling, floor's caving in just to stabilize.
- 2:08Speaker 1: This could take a long long time. This block could
- 2:12Speaker 1: be closed for quite a while, and you got to
- 2:16Speaker 1: worry about the building collapse. You got to worry about
- 2:18Speaker 1: all kinds of things. So I don't see this block
- 2:20Speaker 1: getting open for a long time. Hey, Iran, as we
- 2:26Speaker 1: mentioned last hour, been cheating like crazy. All of a sudden,
- 2:30Speaker 1: work taking place at some of their nuclear sites by them,
- 2:34Speaker 1: So who knows what they're up to. Now you've got
- 2:36Speaker 1: to remember the president has had this peace agreement, and
- 2:42Speaker 1: this has been going on for a couple of months.
- 2:44Speaker 1: He's waited a long time, so we may have to
- 2:46Speaker 1: go in and finish the job. But the good part
- 2:49Speaker 1: of all this is because of the two to three
- 2:52Speaker 1: months of peace agreements giving them a chance. Months a
- 2:56Speaker 1: couple of months have given them a chance. That kind
- 2:58Speaker 1: of gives them the okay to now go in on
- 3:01Speaker 1: a much higher level than last time. I mean, you know,
- 3:04Speaker 1: last time we were taken out military stuff, we were
- 3:06Speaker 1: taken out nuclear stuff. But you can't go in and
- 3:09Speaker 1: just wipe out a whole country. You can't just go
- 3:11Speaker 1: wipe out everything. But you kind of can do it now.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Because he was at least optics wise, it looked like
- 3:19Speaker 1: he was being pretty fair. Gave them plenty of time,
- 3:22Speaker 1: gave them a presagreement, gave them plenty of chances, months
- 3:25Speaker 1: and months and months of chances. So it gives them
- 3:30Speaker 1: license now to go in if we have to really
- 3:33Speaker 1: wipe out stuff, to do it now, so that could
- 3:36Speaker 1: I know they're planning all of that right now. President
- 3:38Speaker 1: Trump is in Turkey today for the NATO summit, and
- 3:42Speaker 1: I imagine in the most secret private meetings, that's what
- 3:45Speaker 1: they're discussing finishing off Iran. Turkey is of course not
- 3:51Speaker 1: a friend of ours. President Trump meeting with air Towan
- 3:56Speaker 1: and Turkey. Aired One wants to buy aircraft, all his
- 4:00Speaker 1: fighter jets, that kind of stuff. Israel publicly saying don't
- 4:04Speaker 1: sell them anything because there the worst people in the
- 4:07Speaker 1: world there, and who knows who they'll help or support.
- 4:10Speaker 1: So we'll see what happens at the end. He's there today,
- 4:14Speaker 1: then tomorrow, then comes back Platner. Well, he's out. He
- 4:20Speaker 1: said he's suspending, he's reflecting. What did he say? What
- 4:24Speaker 1: do you say reflecting that he's reflecting, which he also said,
- 4:28Speaker 1: let me see he says suspending here, so regardless of
- 4:31Speaker 1: the inaccuracy of the reporting, but mindful of political reality,
- 4:34Speaker 1: it will inflect. We are taking the time to reflect
- 4:37Speaker 1: on the best path forward. Yeah, reflecting. I guess he
- 4:42Speaker 1: didn't want to use the word suspending. But whenever you
- 4:44Speaker 1: reflect or suspend, nobody's ever. I can't think of any
- 4:47Speaker 1: campaign that ever came back after suspending. Now you can
- 4:52Speaker 1: always count on Fetterman to be the one still saying
- 4:56Speaker 1: still rational democrat, never back to platinir And now Fetterman
- 5:03Speaker 1: is demanding that Bernie Sanders apologize for backing this predator.
- 5:09Speaker 1: He should include Elizabeth Warren in that. Actually, Warren. I mean,
- 5:14Speaker 1: listen to Warren. Everybody's playing this clip over and over again.
- 5:17Speaker 1: This is Warren. A few weeks ago.
- 5:18Speaker 2: I said to myself, that's my kind of man, because
- 5:27Speaker 2: that is a man who not only has the values,
- 5:33Speaker 2: but a man who believes in accountability.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Yeah, a history of rape, lying, he's got a huge
- 5:39Speaker 1: Nazi death camp tattoo all over his chest. That's what
- 5:44Speaker 1: did she say.
- 5:45Speaker 2: I said to myself, that's my kind of man.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Yeah, so a fetterman. As this morning demanded an apology
- 5:53Speaker 1: from Bernie Sanders. I really call on Bernie Sanders to
- 5:57Speaker 1: apologize for pushing this kind of predator more than anyone.
- 6:02Speaker 1: And we'll see. I don't think Bernie Sanders going to
- 6:05Speaker 1: say anything. Elizabeth Warren wouldn't say anything. Her office put
- 6:08Speaker 1: out a statement she didn't want to actually sayings. Sanders
- 6:12Speaker 1: has remained silent. Fox News says they tried to contact
- 6:16Speaker 1: his office for some kind of statement. Silent, He would
- 6:19Speaker 1: not give a statement about this. Yesterday was the beginning
- 6:25Speaker 1: of the court hearings for the assassin that killed Charlie Kirk.
- 6:31Speaker 1: It's tough to watch, very tough to watch the assassin.
- 6:35Speaker 1: It's a nice looking guy, and he's sort of if
- 6:37Speaker 1: he didn't know, he's like a normal looking guy like that.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Luigi Mangione looks a little nuts. This guy, although it's
- 6:45Speaker 1: just a shot from the side, he didn't look that nuts,
- 6:48Speaker 1: but obviously he is. Erica Kirk, the widow, was there
- 6:53Speaker 1: with Charlie's parents and other family members that had to
- 6:56Speaker 1: sit there in the courtroom and look at this assassin.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Officer Charles Begley, he's the witness heard the rifle shot,
- 7:04Speaker 1: watched Charlie Kirk get shot. He was testifying yesterday. The
- 7:09Speaker 1: accused assassen, Tyler Robinson, who does face the death penalty
- 7:13Speaker 1: they have it in that state, was actually seen smiling
- 7:16Speaker 1: while talking to his attorney. At various points. Robinson appeared
- 7:20Speaker 1: in a gray suit, shackled at the wrists. Seems stoic
- 7:24Speaker 1: as prosecutors displayed photos of the campus and rooftop from
- 7:28Speaker 1: which he allegedly shot the Turning Point USA founder, So
- 7:32Speaker 1: it was rough. Donald Trump Junior was there in the courtroom,
- 7:35Speaker 1: very close to Charlie Kirk. He flew in for that
- 7:39Speaker 1: and it was very, very tough. Now they played video.
- 7:42Speaker 1: I don't know if you've ever seen the actual video
- 7:45Speaker 1: of when Charlie Kirk is hit by the bullet. I
- 7:48Speaker 1: do not recommend you watch it. You'll never forget it.
- 7:51Speaker 1: It's so hideous and graphic and it's awful. They had
- 7:55Speaker 1: to show it in the courtroom and they say even
- 7:57Speaker 1: the judge winced. Even the judge been through a million
- 8:00Speaker 1: of these cases, winced. You can see his head go back.
- 8:04Speaker 1: It was tough for even the judge to see it.
- 8:07Speaker 1: So well. I think we're done with the fireworks Fourth
- 8:11Speaker 1: of July. Those fireworks it's getting out of control. I mean,
- 8:15Speaker 1: it's great to see Macy's fireworks. The ones in DC
- 8:17Speaker 1: were the biggest and best ever in America. The small towns,
- 8:21Speaker 1: the suburbs, they all do you know, three or four fireworks.
- 8:25Speaker 1: But the worst thing is these amateur fireworks. A lot
- 8:27Speaker 1: of just regular amateur civilians getting a hold of fireworks
- 8:32Speaker 1: and just firing them off on Fourth of July, causing
- 8:34Speaker 1: all kinds of problems. It's caused fires, it's caused injuries.
- 8:38Speaker 1: And look at this Brooklyn high rise, it was hit
- 8:43Speaker 1: with fireworks. Tenants the Brooklyn high Rise has balconies, so
- 8:46Speaker 1: a lot of people going out to watch the Macy's
- 8:48Speaker 1: fireworks and then getting hit. One woman says, I got
- 8:50Speaker 1: hit in the chest with the fireworks, and the fireworks
- 8:53Speaker 1: are hitting this building, damaging windows. This is just from
- 8:56Speaker 1: idiots in the neighborhood sending them off onlookers getting showered
- 9:00Speaker 1: with sparks, rooftop party goers fleeing. Actually, although the good
- 9:07Speaker 1: news is nine to one to one, they get complaints
- 9:10Speaker 1: from people illegally setting off fireworks. They said they got
- 9:12Speaker 1: less less calls this year, twenty two hundred. Last year
- 9:16Speaker 1: it was thirty one hundred. So I guess it's improving
- 9:19Speaker 1: a little. Hey that crazy mom, Donnie, our crazy amateur mayor,
- 9:29Speaker 1: Now this is not good. He in the new budget.
- 9:31Speaker 1: He's got this crazy new budget that's absolutely insane. Remember,
- 9:35Speaker 1: so total amateur doesn't know anything about management or running
- 9:38Speaker 1: a city and certainly knows nothing about budgets. Allowed this
- 9:42Speaker 1: budget to go through. That is absolutely ludicrous. It's one
- 9:45Speaker 1: hundred and twenty six billion for New York City. It
- 9:48Speaker 1: probably should be like one third of that. This is
- 9:52Speaker 1: like double the budget of Florida, and Florida has more
- 9:55Speaker 1: people than New York A lot more people in New
- 9:58Speaker 1: York City, so it's in now. The Department of Education
- 10:03Speaker 1: is a total disaster. The New York City Department of
- 10:07Speaker 1: Education is absolute disaster. Kids are not being taught anything.
- 10:14Speaker 1: The scores that get coming out of the New York
- 10:17Speaker 1: City schools are disastrous. Half of them can't read. I mean,
- 10:21Speaker 1: it's just a disaster in these schools, and the budget
- 10:24Speaker 1: on them is way way too high. They should cut
- 10:28Speaker 1: the budget dramatically, which would mean getting rid of layers
- 10:32Speaker 1: and layers and layers of bureaucracy. That's the problem with
- 10:35Speaker 1: our Board of Education. Every time you throw a dollar in,
- 10:38Speaker 1: maybe four cents gets to the classroom. The rest of
- 10:41Speaker 1: it eaten up by layers and layers and layers and
- 10:44Speaker 1: layers of bureaucracy that serve no purpose. So as bad
- 10:48Speaker 1: as this is, as much as you need to cut
- 10:50Speaker 1: that out, all that waste and fat in the Department
- 10:54Speaker 1: of Education. In the new budget, it turns out, mom,
- 10:57Speaker 1: Donnie quietly added eight hundred million to this eight hundred million,
- 11:01Speaker 1: that's what he added to the school's budget. Our Department
- 11:05Speaker 1: of Education currently is getting the hold on to something.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Our Department of education is currently getting thirty eight billion.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Thirty eight billion, that's that's preposterous. It should be five billion,
- 11:20Speaker 1: maybe maybe at the most. And again this is more.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Thirty eight billion is more than the budget of most cities.
- 11:28Speaker 1: And our Department of Education is a total disaster. Nobody's
- 11:33Speaker 1: learning anything. So this is a Mamdani continuing this, actually
- 11:36Speaker 1: expanding this disaster. The other thing is in the budget.
- 11:41Speaker 1: You know, we're supposed to put in more policemen because
- 11:45Speaker 1: we're losing cops by the thousands. They're retiring. So Mam
- 11:50Speaker 1: Donnie did not put in any money for the police
- 11:53Speaker 1: out of this new budget. Nothing, nothing, So you're not
- 11:59Speaker 1: replacing anybody. And it's basically he's defunding the police. He's
- 12:02Speaker 1: found a way to do it, a way to shrink
- 12:04Speaker 1: the police force because as they retire by the thousands,
- 12:09Speaker 1: he could bring down the amount of officers down by
- 12:11Speaker 1: five thousand in the next couple of years, which is
- 12:14Speaker 1: absolutely disastrous. We're already way below the number we should have,
- 12:19Speaker 1: way below the number we usually have. You know, this
- 12:21Speaker 1: department was up to forty thousand, I think forty two
- 12:25Speaker 1: thousand at one point. It's down around thirty thousand. There's
- 12:28Speaker 1: not enough cops, and he's causing this defunding by just
- 12:34Speaker 1: not replacing the cops that are retiring, and obviously they're
- 12:37Speaker 1: retiring at a much bigger pace. Now, Hey, good news,
- 12:40Speaker 1: Bruce Blakeman. In the real pulse. Forget these public poles.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Those are just cheap, flimsy, stupid public pols. The real polls,
- 12:48Speaker 1: the behind the scenes, super expensive, scientific, deadly accurate polls
- 12:53Speaker 1: have Blakeman almost He's catching up. He was said twenty
- 12:57Speaker 1: points behind a couple of weeks ago, he was eight
- 13:00Speaker 1: points behind. Looks like he's about six points behind right
- 13:02Speaker 1: now in the real poles. That's important. Blakeman wants to
- 13:07Speaker 1: debate Kathy Hochel. She is ducking him. She will not
- 13:11Speaker 1: debate him because if it's a debate and everybody's watching,
- 13:15Speaker 1: he's going to just rattle off some stuff in front
- 13:17Speaker 1: of her. You know, our electric bills went crazy. Then
- 13:20Speaker 1: it used to be one hundred a month. That's four
- 13:22Speaker 1: hundred a month. The electric bills are going crazy. First
- 13:24Speaker 1: Cuomo shuts down Indian Point, and then after Hokeel got in,
- 13:29Speaker 1: she started putting all kinds of fees and taxes on
- 13:32Speaker 1: your electric bill to pay for these stupid green scheme things.
- 13:35Speaker 1: So she has increased your electric bill deliberately with all
- 13:39Speaker 1: these taxes she's putting on electricity, and he's going to
- 13:43Speaker 1: bring that up. Also, she refuses to take the net.
- 13:45Speaker 1: We're sitting on a ton of natural gas underneath us
- 13:48Speaker 1: here in New York State. She refuses to drill it,
- 13:52Speaker 1: refuses while at the same time buying natural gas from Pennsylvania.
- 13:57Speaker 1: We got our own natural gas here. She could bring
- 13:59Speaker 1: your electric build down by about two hundred percent easily,
- 14:03Speaker 1: just do this. So he's going to bring all that
- 14:04Speaker 1: up in a debate. She does not want that said
- 14:07Speaker 1: publicly with her standing there, so he's trying to debate her.
- 14:10Speaker 1: She keeps stuck on him. But Bruce Blakeman, he'd be
- 14:13Speaker 1: a great governor. He want to help. Go to blakemanfronewyork
- 14:16Speaker 1: dot com. If you things I hope he wins, will
- 14:19Speaker 1: help him win. Go to Bruce. Go to blakemanfromew York
- 14:22Speaker 1: dot com blakemanfronew York dot com and donate or volunteer
- 14:29Speaker 1: or whatever you can do. Hey, we'll take some calls.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Next eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is
- 14:35Speaker 1: the number eight hundred three two one zero seven ten
