- 0:14Speaker 1: Welcome back to I Do Part two. It's your favorite
- 0:18Speaker 1: golden goal. Susan Knowles and Kathy Schwartz. We're stepping in
- 0:24Speaker 1: and we love being here on I Do Part two.
- 0:28Speaker 2: We certainly do. It's not our first time. Hey, everybody,
- 0:31Speaker 2: welcome back. Today. We've got to unpack all the divorce
- 0:36Speaker 2: related news in the headlines here.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Oh got it. There's so many people, what the hell
- 0:42Speaker 1: is in its holiday time and everyone's getting divorced telling.
- 0:45Speaker 2: It's either some people pass away or they're announcing separations
- 0:49Speaker 2: and divorces. I can't win, all right, So let's talk
- 0:52Speaker 2: right about this one.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Let's start jump right in.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Jerry O'Connell and John Stamos taking a selfie together. Now
- 1:00Speaker 2: that's news.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Okay, okay, but wait, let's talk about it. I mean
- 1:06Speaker 1: they were Jerry O'Connell was is married now to Rebecca Romain.
- 1:15Speaker 1: He okay, Stamos was married to Rebecca Romaine years ago, Like,
- 1:20Speaker 1: can we please get over it? Can we?
- 1:23Speaker 3: Well?
- 1:24Speaker 2: He did want to read his memoir. That was like
- 1:26Speaker 2: a big deal.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Okay, wait, wait, I gotta say I think Jerry O'Connell
- 1:33Speaker 1: not reading Stamus John Stamis's memoir is brilliant. Look what
- 1:38Speaker 1: has gone on with our season with Gary Turner and
- 1:42Speaker 1: his memoir and Teresa like, it's just mud slinging. So
- 1:48Speaker 1: I think probably a good point.
- 1:51Speaker 2: One's on one podcast, bad mounted the other because she
- 1:54Speaker 2: don't know what's in the book yet. I mean, it
- 1:56Speaker 2: goes on and on. But these two, okay, right of this,
- 2:01Speaker 2: actually I think make amends. And of course Mandel takes
- 2:07Speaker 2: all the credit.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Well because Howie Mandel had the party. But wait a minute,
- 2:12Speaker 1: John Stamos had a dui in twenty fifteen. Okay, your kids.
- 2:17Speaker 1: You know we we as parents, we've been down that
- 2:19Speaker 1: road with our kids. Here's the thing. John Stamos blamed Romaine,
- 2:26Speaker 1: he blamed his Yeah, hated her like it's her fault.
- 2:31Speaker 1: What did she do inject the alcohol into his vein?
- 2:34Speaker 1: So I have a problem with that. But here's the thing.
- 2:37Speaker 1: I love that they've came together. It just shows you
- 2:44Speaker 1: that you can get it together, you can finally come back.
- 2:49Speaker 2: I think Stamos admitting eventually that he had some part
- 2:54Speaker 2: of play in the split, and he started he even
- 2:58Speaker 2: had quote she wasn't the maybe I was as much
- 3:02Speaker 2: to blame as her.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Finally, Susan the operative word. Maybe I'm going to go with, yes,
- 3:10Speaker 1: you were. But you know what, here's the deal. Divorce sucks,
- 3:15Speaker 1: it happens. It happens for a reason. I think that
- 3:21Speaker 1: uh O'Connell shared some words. He said, you know, gorgeous
- 3:26Speaker 1: family and gorgeous people. And the picture has John Stamos
- 3:31Speaker 1: on one side, the lovely lady in the middle, and
- 3:35Speaker 1: O'Connell on the side. So you know what is it?
- 3:38Speaker 1: All's well? That ends well? Is that? What is that?
- 3:40Speaker 1: Where we are?
- 3:41Speaker 2: Do you agree that Jerry was standing up for his
- 3:45Speaker 2: wife by not reading the memoir or what are your
- 3:48Speaker 2: thoughts on that? Because people are saying you know this,
- 3:50Speaker 2: that and the third?
- 3:52Speaker 1: I think, what do you think it was he was?
- 3:55Speaker 2: I mean, that's his wife, he's talk trash. He don't
- 3:59Speaker 2: know what's in that reading it. I believe he was
- 4:03Speaker 2: standing up for his one.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Well, now you know, you and I always agree and disagree,
- 4:07Speaker 1: and here we're gonna I'm going to go with it's
- 4:12Speaker 1: like he couldn't be bothered reading it. I mean, he
- 4:16Speaker 1: just could not be bothered to read it. Is it
- 4:18Speaker 1: stand up for his wife? Maybe? I mean I would
- 4:21Speaker 1: like to think that is the case. He's got a
- 4:24Speaker 1: golf game at six, and he had to choose between
- 4:26Speaker 1: reading the book. He had to read the book or
- 4:29Speaker 1: go golfing.
- 4:30Speaker 2: I don't know, Howie. You can take the credit if
- 4:33Speaker 2: he wants, since you had the party, I'm really happy
- 4:36Speaker 2: that they all did this finally.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Can I just say it took a little bit of time,
- 4:43Speaker 1: So thank you, Howie Mandel. The only problem I have?
- 4:47Speaker 1: You know the problem I have, Susan. Yeah, he didn't
- 4:50Speaker 1: invite us to his birthday.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Bring you together with somebody.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Let's go through. Okay, so the picture, it's for all
- 4:59Speaker 1: of us to see. We've got John Stamos on the right,
- 5:02Speaker 1: we got Caitlin in the middle, and we have Jerry
- 5:06Speaker 1: O'Connor on the left. It is out there forever and
- 5:10Speaker 1: a day. The three are now friends at.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Least that we can all smiling.
- 5:15Speaker 1: And that is the point. All right. We got to
- 5:17Speaker 1: move on to my favorite couple, and I'm it's actually
- 5:21Speaker 1: the saddest one. Susan. Nicole Kidman shares her personal update
- 5:27Speaker 1: amid keith urban divorce. Let's talk about that.
- 5:30Speaker 2: One can tell you how shocked I thought they were
- 5:36Speaker 2: like the perfect little couple. I'm serious.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Tell me why because they're just perfect together, and she's
- 5:44Speaker 1: feeling like she.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Keeps a low profile. She doesn't want a lot of
- 5:49Speaker 2: people to know her business.
- 5:50Speaker 1: They're talking about she's an oscar winner. She's more famous than.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Profile about her marriage and her home life.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Okay, let me just say these two were married almost
- 6:02Speaker 1: twenty years. They have two children together. They're both fifty
- 6:06Speaker 1: eight years old. They have two girls, a seventeen year
- 6:10Speaker 1: old and a fourteen year old. I don't know about you, Susan,
- 6:13Speaker 1: but the last thing I wanted would be to have
- 6:16Speaker 1: a child at forty one and at forty five. And
- 6:19Speaker 1: she has two kids from Tom Cruise, who I think
- 6:22Speaker 1: in their thirties. So let's talk about what that is like.
- 6:28Speaker 2: All, look at my daughter had one. Later, When you're
- 6:31Speaker 2: with a second husband and they want a child, you
- 6:35Speaker 2: do it.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Okay, well you do it. I'm not.
- 6:40Speaker 2: I'm all happy for you, but would do it.
- 6:43Speaker 1: I'll tell you. Okay, But here's the thing. I've done
- 6:46Speaker 1: a little research, and I love I mean, Big Little Eyes,
- 6:50Speaker 1: my favorite TV show. I think Nicole Kidman is such
- 6:54Speaker 1: a talented actress. I love that she's taller than he is,
- 6:57Speaker 1: and she wore it proudly all those things. But if
- 7:00Speaker 1: you look back, he credits Keith Urban, credits Nicole Kidman
- 7:07Speaker 1: with his recovery. He has been sober I think since
- 7:11Speaker 1: like two thousand and five, two thousand and six, a
- 7:13Speaker 1: long time, And he credits Nicole. She's been the glue
- 7:18Speaker 1: of that family, and any of us strong women know
- 7:23Speaker 1: what it's like to be the glue for our family.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Right, women are the blue women have the strength.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Okay, so let's talk about that. What do you think happened?
- 7:34Speaker 1: Because the rumors are that he's dating some guitarist named
- 7:39Speaker 1: Maggie in his bad.
- 7:40Speaker 2: How about him changing the words to a song that what?
- 7:43Speaker 2: That took me back?
- 7:44Speaker 1: I know, but the rumors have it. You know, if
- 7:48Speaker 1: you read the sheets that he's had, he's he's dipped.
- 7:53Speaker 1: What's the expression, he's dabbled on the other side, you know,
- 7:57Speaker 1: he's had a few affairs whatever. I don't want to say. Yeah,
- 8:01Speaker 1: I think before Why do you think it? Because that's
- 8:04Speaker 1: what I read in the tabloids, and and everything in
- 8:06Speaker 1: the tabloids is true.
- 8:07Speaker 2: You know that we don't think we read or see
- 8:11Speaker 2: on social media. But I love that they're in agreement
- 8:14Speaker 2: of the custody, like.
- 8:15Speaker 1: She's not excuse me, agreement, she's got the kids. Let's
- 8:20Speaker 1: count the days sick days. Yeah, and he gets them
- 8:23Speaker 1: fifty nine. So what does that tell you? Is his
- 8:26Speaker 1: copybook clean? I don't think so.
- 8:28Speaker 2: They mutually signed off on a proposal that she gets
- 8:33Speaker 2: them three hundred and six days and he gets them
- 8:35Speaker 2: fifty nine. He's probably touring making music, you know what
- 8:39Speaker 2: I'm saying.
- 8:40Speaker 1: So you're excusing him not being a good parent because
- 8:43Speaker 1: he's touring.
- 8:43Speaker 2: On me say it was not being a good parent.
- 8:46Speaker 2: But on old school, most most of the time children
- 8:51Speaker 2: belong with their mothers.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Well, well most of the time, not all, Susan, are
- 8:58Speaker 1: you really we're gonna disagree this early end in this podcast.
- 9:04Speaker 1: You don't believe in the fifty to fifty rule, and
- 9:08Speaker 1: sometimes I do, yes, I always believe a dad is
- 9:13Speaker 1: as important in a child's life.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Dads don't have the time that moms do. All all though, today.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I'm sorry, Nicole, I'm sorry, Susan, I got to interrupt
- 9:22Speaker 1: to you. Nicole Kidman, I would argue, is a bigger
- 9:27Speaker 1: star than Keith Urban. She works, she is an Oscar winner,
- 9:31Speaker 1: she's got shows, she's got movies.
- 9:34Speaker 2: But when someone says they mutually signed off on an agreement,
- 9:39Speaker 2: he agreed to it, Kathy, So why would you like that.
- 9:44Speaker 1: He agreed Susan clearly? Okay for all y'all listening. Susan,
- 9:51Speaker 1: as you know, is divorced from her husband, Dicky Knowles,
- 9:54Speaker 1: and they had a very easy time of their divorce.
- 9:57Speaker 1: They agreed on most things. Newsfly. Most people don't have
- 10:03Speaker 1: quite that amenable a divorce. And I'm guessing, I am
- 10:08Speaker 1: guessing that Keith, there's probably some This is just the
- 10:13Speaker 1: world according to Kathy. But you know, Kathy's always right. Always.
- 10:19Speaker 1: I think that there were there was some infidelity going
- 10:25Speaker 1: on over the time of their marriage, not just now.
- 10:29Speaker 1: And I think the fact that Keith and Nicholl's kids
- 10:32Speaker 1: are almost grown, they're getting there, that she said enough
- 10:37Speaker 1: is enough. And I don't blame her if that's the case,
- 10:40Speaker 1: If infidelity is the deal, I don't blame her for,
- 10:44Speaker 1: you know, for saying see you later.
- 10:46Speaker 2: And we're still in the same city, not in the
- 10:48Speaker 2: same house.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Right, so it's easy for the kids to go back
- 10:51Speaker 1: and forth. But I got to say to you, you
- 10:53Speaker 1: and I you know, I'm a hopeful romantic you're a
- 10:57Speaker 1: hopeless romantic.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Wait were you?
- 11:01Speaker 1: Yes? Did you not see this guy? When Keith Urban
- 11:04Speaker 1: gets his awards, he looks over at her, dreamy eyed
- 11:07Speaker 1: and says, you know all to my beautiful wife, Nicole,
- 11:10Speaker 1: And she sits there demure, blinking her eyes, her little
- 11:13Speaker 1: doe eyes. I'm like, these two are going to put
- 11:16Speaker 1: Hollywood to shame. They're going to make it forever.
- 11:20Speaker 2: It's sad. It's so sad.
- 11:23Speaker 1: It's so sad. Oh god, what's next. I don't even
- 11:25Speaker 1: know Rachel, Rachel Zoe. Oh gosh, and get them filtered.
- 11:35Speaker 2: But I loved her honesty and she says, I feel
- 11:39Speaker 2: different on every level. And she's very honest about what
- 11:44Speaker 2: she's dealing with. Okay, Bravo hit Rachel's project. Okay, we
- 11:50Speaker 2: know that about her. She said, my goal is really
- 11:54Speaker 2: to share the reality of my life and everyone's going
- 11:58Speaker 2: through stuff. Isn't that true?
- 12:01Speaker 1: Everybody's going through stuff. I got a bad haircut, I'm
- 12:04Speaker 1: going through bad haircut. Here's the deal with Rachel. This
- 12:09Speaker 1: is a direct quote. She is divorcing Roger Berman. She says, quote,
- 12:15Speaker 1: I'm independent financially, professionally, and socially. And she says that
- 12:23Speaker 1: is important for a woman, no matter and I don't
- 12:26Speaker 1: not sure if she said this or some podcast she
- 12:30Speaker 1: was on. She says, no matter what life throws at you,
- 12:35Speaker 1: you have to be able to stand up on your own.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Let me let me take issue that for one second.
- 12:41Speaker 2: One more thing that she quote, I quote, you have
- 12:43Speaker 2: to have your own things to wake up for every day,
- 12:47Speaker 2: so you can't count on a man for your life.
- 12:51Speaker 2: You have don't do it for yourself, and then you
- 12:54Speaker 2: join somebody's life. I get it.
- 12:57Speaker 1: I agree. Now that's Hollywood. Let's talk reality. Rachel is
- 13:03Speaker 1: a very successful TV star. She has made a lot
- 13:07Speaker 1: of money. She will continue, She's going back to reality TV.
- 13:12Speaker 1: This is a woman who has resources. So while I
- 13:17Speaker 1: agree with her that every woman should be independent financially,
- 13:23Speaker 1: professionally and socially, that's not always the case, is it.
- 13:28Speaker 2: Not all women are now some women depend on.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Their husbands financially.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Totally different.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Divorce so well, but many divorces. I'm saying, in Hollywood,
- 13:42Speaker 1: sometimes you have two power a power couple, right, and
- 13:45Speaker 1: they can walk away and they're arguing over you know,
- 13:48Speaker 1: who gets the horse and the stables and the and
- 13:52Speaker 1: the maserati. I mean that that's Hollywood, but in reality,
- 13:58Speaker 1: women unfortunately in our society sometimes don't have the upper
- 14:04Speaker 1: hand because they've stayed home, they raise children.
- 14:07Speaker 2: They have careers, absolutely, but we're talking about them and
- 14:12Speaker 2: she's fine. But she says there that she wants to
- 14:15Speaker 2: help other women, and her point is do your own thing,
- 14:21Speaker 2: be stable financially. But not all women have careers. It's
- 14:24Speaker 2: easy for her to say.
- 14:26Speaker 1: That that's your singing my song, so you knows. As
- 14:30Speaker 1: much as I agree philosophically with her point of view,
- 14:34Speaker 1: I struggle because life throws a lot of things and
- 14:38Speaker 1: a lot of us and women who have lots of
- 14:42Speaker 1: kids who haven't had the education or haven't had the
- 14:45Speaker 1: luck to have a great career, they are unfortunately must
- 14:52Speaker 1: rely on the good either really good lawyer.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Well look at mine for instance. I just said on
- 14:59Speaker 2: our podcast the other day that I stayed in a marriage,
- 15:04Speaker 2: but we weren't really together in our house for my
- 15:07Speaker 2: children until they were old enough. And I'll never forget
- 15:11Speaker 2: my son saying Mom, why did you wait so long?
- 15:14Speaker 2: We know you're not happy because we didn't fight and
- 15:17Speaker 2: things like that, but I thought it was best for
- 15:19Speaker 2: my children to have both parents around, even though Dicky
- 15:24Speaker 2: was all playing ball, and you know, it was just
- 15:26Speaker 2: more stable. Was I right? Maybe not?
- 15:30Speaker 1: Well, let me ask you something, did you guys did
- 15:33Speaker 1: you guys have a pre nup? Would you have done
- 15:37Speaker 1: it now? Would you do it now? If you got
- 15:40Speaker 1: married again.
- 15:41Speaker 2: Have a prenup?
- 15:42Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 15:43Speaker 2: It depends on who I married. If he didn't need mine.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Then what. I don't know. I just I just feel
- 15:50Speaker 1: like in some of these marriages, one or the other
- 15:56Speaker 1: makes more money, is more famous, and I feel like
- 16:00Speaker 1: in this case, Rachel is the one with the bucks,
- 16:04Speaker 1: and so it's very easy to make those statements, to
- 16:08Speaker 1: make those statements. You know, every everybody's going through stuff.
- 16:12Speaker 1: She's going through stuff with a lot of money, a
- 16:14Speaker 1: lot of power.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Because she's died up right now and she's on the
- 16:18Speaker 2: on the good ride right now. You know what I'm saying.
- 16:21Speaker 2: If she was at the end of her career or
- 16:23Speaker 2: not having work or something, it might be a totally
- 16:25Speaker 2: different well.
- 16:27Speaker 1: And that's I think. I think it's easy for her
- 16:31Speaker 1: to say, you have to be able to stand on
- 16:33Speaker 1: your own, you just have to. I think throw you
- 16:37Speaker 1: know a guy, let's let's say I know it never happens.
- 16:41Speaker 1: But let's talk about a man who is has had
- 16:45Speaker 1: some infidelity. Let's say in their marriage, it never happens.
- 16:48Speaker 1: I know. But and and you know, you've got three
- 16:51Speaker 1: kids under ten and you're running the girl Scout meeting
- 16:55Speaker 1: because you don't you know, you don't have a career,
- 16:59Speaker 1: because your career was being a mom. And I know
- 17:02Speaker 1: that today a lot of women have careers and they
- 17:05Speaker 1: have nanny's and all that.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Most of Hollywood, if you will, every everyday couple you
- 17:10Speaker 2: know that work and want to stay at home mom
- 17:13Speaker 2: don't have a nanny.
- 17:15Speaker 1: So I think that exactly their kids go to daycare.
- 17:19Speaker 1: I don't know. I just think that that for her.
- 17:23Speaker 1: You know, I don't even know who Roger Berman is.
- 17:25Speaker 1: That's who she's divorcing. She's the big name here, not him,
- 17:29Speaker 1: And so I think it's very easy for her to
- 17:32Speaker 1: walk away.
- 17:33Speaker 2: We haven't heard side, right.
- 17:35Speaker 1: But here's the thing. I bet there's more juicy details
- 17:38Speaker 1: coming Susan because he ran her business. So let's find
- 17:41Speaker 1: out what you know, there's.
- 17:42Speaker 3: Gonna be more coming out of that story.
- 17:53Speaker 1: All right, give me the next one. What do you got?
- 17:56Speaker 2: And this next title is Scott Wolf Sharing of his
- 18:01Speaker 2: estranged wife Kelly hugging son Miller and mid their divorce.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Okay, what do you think about that?
- 18:08Speaker 2: And he put out the instagram all kinds of tribute
- 18:12Speaker 2: to Miller, who was turning thirteen on his birthday. I
- 18:16Speaker 2: mean he I think he did a nice He's a teenage,
- 18:22Speaker 2: A teenager now fastening our chin straps.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Okay, hold on, here's the thing. Scott Wolf is a guy.
- 18:31Speaker 1: I gotta be honest. I didn't watch his show. He
- 18:34Speaker 1: was on Party of five. But here's the news there.
- 18:38Speaker 1: He has got soul, physical and legal custody and the
- 18:45Speaker 1: raining order and guess what else? He has sole use
- 18:48Speaker 1: of the family home in Utah, which, by the way, Scott,
- 18:51Speaker 1: if you're listening, I like to ski, give me a call.
- 18:54Speaker 1: But he wished her happy birthday. This is the guy,
- 18:58Speaker 1: I think again, I don't know. I'm not an insider here.
- 19:01Speaker 2: But he also had a temporary restraining order against her.
- 19:04Speaker 1: So what do you think is going on?
- 19:06Speaker 2: Why are you wishing your happy birthday and posting all
- 19:09Speaker 2: these things? If you don't want to near you.
- 19:11Speaker 1: I'll tell you why. My guess is Kelly has some
- 19:17Speaker 1: serious mental health, maybe some alcohol issues going on and
- 19:22Speaker 1: you know what, he's probably it's holiday time. He probably
- 19:26Speaker 1: feels sorry. You know, she's maybe has some addictions. I
- 19:30Speaker 1: my hat, I give him great props. I you know,
- 19:35Speaker 1: I don't know if you have any of those issues
- 19:36Speaker 1: in your family, But I grew up with an alcoholic stepfather.
- 19:40Speaker 1: And it's tough and it's scary, and you know, can
- 19:45Speaker 1: you imagine having a child and your spouse is alcoholic?
- 19:51Speaker 2: Yes, addiction by what it is. But there's something, Yes,
- 19:55Speaker 2: there's something another twenty one, It was twenty seven years. Yeah,
- 20:00Speaker 2: that's a long time.
- 20:02Speaker 1: But so here, let me just ask you a little
- 20:04Speaker 1: interlude question here. How much do you think it takes
- 20:10Speaker 1: for someone to walk away after twenty twenty five years?
- 20:15Speaker 1: What do you think it takes? One thing? What do
- 20:17Speaker 1: you think happens?
- 20:19Speaker 2: Well, sometimes infidelity could start it, but personally, we didn't
- 20:24Speaker 2: each other do anything wrong.
- 20:26Speaker 1: We just are you right? You and Dickie?
- 20:28Speaker 2: Yes, we grew separately in separate ways, and my likes
- 20:34Speaker 2: and desires and wants and his were totally different. And
- 20:38Speaker 2: that's how do you keep that gown? You agree to disagree,
- 20:43Speaker 2: but then there comes a time where there's nothing in
- 20:46Speaker 2: common any right, right, that's not a good marrons.
- 20:50Speaker 1: So you know in my marriage, so you and are
- 20:53Speaker 1: that's I mean, it's so funny. We're such good friends,
- 20:55Speaker 1: but we've had such different backgrounds and we have such
- 20:58Speaker 1: different lives because I was married almost forty six years
- 21:03Speaker 1: before my husband took his life and marriage is never perfect.
- 21:07Speaker 1: But he was a great guy. We have three kids,
- 21:10Speaker 1: you know, we had the dog, the cat, the car,
- 21:13Speaker 1: the picket fence, the whole bit. And yet we had
- 21:17Speaker 1: issues too.
- 21:18Speaker 2: Of everybody does everybody. There's not a perfect relationship. You're
- 21:23Speaker 2: going to have disagreements.
- 21:26Speaker 1: But here, yeah, I agree. Here is one of the differences.
- 21:30Speaker 1: You and I were not and are not under a microscope.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Our marriages were our marriages. These people everybody's watching them.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Everybody's looking to see. Oh and when when when news
- 21:46Speaker 1: comes of a dui.
- 21:48Speaker 2: We're on TV? Everybody knows your business, like Kathy when
- 21:54Speaker 2: we were on TV. What how about our emails and
- 21:57Speaker 2: the and the messages and the statements that people write?
- 22:01Speaker 2: Like social media can be a bitch it really.
- 22:06Speaker 1: I agree. I agree social media plays a role, but
- 22:10Speaker 1: I think these people, if they're micro managed and micro
- 22:15Speaker 1: viewed every move they take and photographed and then something imagine,
- 22:22Speaker 1: you know, a guy steps out, they've got some video
- 22:25Speaker 1: of it. Some I don't know. I think that would
- 22:28Speaker 1: be hard to keep a marriage together when you're barraged
- 22:32Speaker 1: with this happened, that happened.
- 22:35Speaker 2: But then you have to if you're there, you how
- 22:38Speaker 2: to understand that they know. Tabloids are tabloids. You know,
- 22:42Speaker 2: people don't always print the truth. But I don't think
- 22:47Speaker 2: that's the cause of any of these new divorces.
- 22:51Speaker 1: You don't no.
- 22:54Speaker 2: Why we just said this one. Obviously she's having some
- 22:58Speaker 2: kind of an issue and he's protecting.
- 23:00Speaker 1: His kids kids. Yeah, I know, I do what Yeah,
- 23:06Speaker 1: I do feel sorry. You know, Kelly is saying he's
- 23:10Speaker 1: one of the best dads she's ever met. I think,
- 23:14Speaker 1: you know, mental health. I hate to say it, but
- 23:17Speaker 1: it plays you know, it plays a role in my family.
- 23:20Speaker 1: It plays a role in many families. And and I
- 23:24Speaker 1: you know, I read these headlines and I think, how
- 23:28Speaker 1: lucky are we that our life is not that public.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Dicky was a major League baseball player, so we were watched,
- 23:35Speaker 2: but nothing like being on television.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Well, but when you guys were married, Susan, there was
- 23:41Speaker 1: not the social media the attention. I mean literally, you know,
- 23:47Speaker 1: the guy photographs you. It's on Instagram, It's on every.
- 23:52Speaker 2: Social How about it?
- 23:54Speaker 1: I don't know. I think it's got to be hard. Okay,
- 23:56Speaker 1: So our next story is Candy Burris feels divorced from
- 24:01Speaker 1: Todd Tucker. It's been brewing for a while. That's the headline.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Holy smokes and My Housewives. I gotta love this.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Okay, But how long is a while? This is what
- 24:14Speaker 1: I want to know. How long is a while? What
- 24:18Speaker 1: do you think about that? Well?
- 24:20Speaker 2: First of all, I love the housewives?
- 24:21Speaker 1: Okay, Yeah, so she was on just she was on
- 24:27Speaker 1: the Housewives of Atlanta I think for like fourteen seasons.
- 24:31Speaker 1: So she is divorcing Todd. She said that when she filed,
- 24:36Speaker 1: you know, things have been up and down. I would
- 24:39Speaker 1: say a lot more down than up. But the divorce
- 24:42Speaker 1: has been a long time in coming. They were married,
- 24:45Speaker 1: I believe eleven years. They've got got two kids who
- 24:49Speaker 1: are nine and six. She has said repeatedly, the kids
- 24:53Speaker 1: come first. Here's what I gotta say. Anybody who is
- 24:57Speaker 1: in the limelight like she is, who can say, great, dad,
- 25:03Speaker 1: I want an amicable divorce. The kids come first. I
- 25:06Speaker 1: give her great props. What do you think?
- 25:09Speaker 2: Absolutely, that tells me she wanted the divorce more so.
- 25:14Speaker 2: I don't know why, but just because of that. And
- 25:18Speaker 2: she came out with the Amazon Live Okay, confirming she
- 25:22Speaker 2: filed on Friday, and she says it's been pretty crazy
- 25:28Speaker 2: since then. Yeah, she's going to be very honest with us.
- 25:31Speaker 2: She's up and down, but obviously going through a divorce
- 25:36Speaker 2: is definitely not the easiest time. Well, I'll agree to that.
- 25:40Speaker 2: No is easy, right, Sometimes you're cool and sometimes you're said,
- 25:46Speaker 2: I mean, it's ups and downs.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Yeah, although she said, this is why I agree with you.
- 25:52Speaker 1: I think it is her asking for the divorce, she said.
- 25:56Speaker 1: She addressed the online reactions to her split, saying it's
- 26:00Speaker 1: been quote hard and quote everyone's making their own narrative
- 26:06Speaker 1: of what's going on, which tells me she's trying to
- 26:10Speaker 1: take the high road. She doesn't want to give too
- 26:13Speaker 1: many details. I really do give her great props, and
- 26:16Speaker 1: you know why I do. She's got two young kids.
- 26:19Speaker 1: It's not like some of these other couples that have
- 26:22Speaker 1: grown children. They have a long time of co parenting.
- 26:27Speaker 2: Come in their way, and did you read and this
- 26:30Speaker 2: touchtne for me? When she said there are moments she
- 26:34Speaker 2: wants to reply to these online comments. Do you know
- 26:38Speaker 2: how many times that you get that negative? And she
- 26:41Speaker 2: said I'm all over the place, later saying sometimes things
- 26:46Speaker 2: just don't work out.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Yes, but here's the thing. How long do you think
- 26:50Speaker 1: that was going on? I mean, seriously, do you think
- 26:54Speaker 1: more often than not people know divorces coming, or do
- 26:58Speaker 1: you think people just sit in their own happiness? What
- 27:00Speaker 1: do you think sit in their own happiness or unhappiness happiness?
- 27:05Speaker 2: I think a lot of people realize it but don't
- 27:09Speaker 2: act upon it right. They don't want to be the
- 27:12Speaker 2: one and both of them might be feeling that until
- 27:16Speaker 2: they come to their senses and share it with each other.
- 27:19Speaker 2: But more times than not, it's usually one that wants
- 27:22Speaker 2: out more than the other.
- 27:25Speaker 1: That's funny. You say that. I mean again, I'm you're divorced.
- 27:30Speaker 1: I'm not, but you got it. Let me just say,
- 27:33Speaker 1: and I didn't say this before all these divorces with kids.
- 27:37Speaker 1: My parents were divorced when I was six. My dad
- 27:42Speaker 1: remarried the same year, and he remarried an amazing woman.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Was really I was, yeah, she absolutely she I considered
- 27:52Speaker 1: her my mom, but I have to say my parents
- 27:57Speaker 1: had a divorce like the word of the Roses. I mean,
- 28:01Speaker 1: it was screaming fits. It was not pleasant. It really
- 28:05Speaker 1: was not pleasant, and which of course made me work
- 28:07Speaker 1: harder on my own marriage. But I got to say,
- 28:11Speaker 1: people who try to do it right for their young kids,
- 28:17Speaker 1: I don't even know what that looks like, because, as
- 28:19Speaker 1: I just said, my parents didn't do it. They didn't
- 28:22Speaker 1: do it right. But I gotta feel, like, what do
- 28:25Speaker 1: you think? It's like I'm kind of role playing here,
- 28:28Speaker 1: like when you said to Dicky, I want out because
- 28:32Speaker 1: you asked for the divorce, right, Like was he shocked?
- 28:36Speaker 1: Did he know what was coming?
- 28:38Speaker 2: Because we were not even living together. We were in
- 28:41Speaker 2: the same house, but not together. You know, we were
- 28:44Speaker 2: passing ships through the night. Like when he was on
- 28:48Speaker 2: the road, I ran the house, which was most of
- 28:51Speaker 2: the time, and when he come home, he'd started to
- 28:53Speaker 2: do his parenting and it was different than mine. So right,
- 28:57Speaker 2: we kind of didn't agree on a lot of things.
- 29:00Speaker 2: And then my boys gave us trouble when they got
- 29:02Speaker 2: a little older, and that was a really rough part.
- 29:05Speaker 2: But we were stood together on that.
- 29:08Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, I hear you. One particular friend I have,
- 29:12Speaker 1: I still have her. Her husband traveled for business, not sports,
- 29:16Speaker 1: but his business is traveling to do his job. He's
- 29:20Speaker 1: a lawyer, and they will never it's he's he was
- 29:25Speaker 1: never there. And I remember her saying to me at
- 29:31Speaker 1: the time, like, do you think he has another family?
- 29:34Speaker 1: Do you think? But I didn't have that.
- 29:36Speaker 2: That does happen, actually does happen. That's crazy.
- 29:40Speaker 1: I mean my husband was home. But I just wonder
- 29:45Speaker 1: some of these stories that were some of these headlines
- 29:48Speaker 1: that we're talking about.
- 29:49Speaker 2: A lot of them are both professionals, so they both
- 29:52Speaker 2: have outside lives, right and movies. They're playing a guitar.
- 29:57Speaker 2: I mean, they're in a band, they're traveling their road trip.
- 30:00Speaker 1: So how hard do you think, I mean, you had it.
- 30:02Speaker 1: How hard is it to have a marriage where there's travel?
- 30:07Speaker 2: Very hard? Very difficult, because you know there's days when
- 30:11Speaker 2: you know when he will come home from work and
- 30:13Speaker 2: you're just like, oh what a day, Like take them,
- 30:15Speaker 2: I don't want any part of the treat, you know,
- 30:18Speaker 2: But I didn't have that.
- 30:20Speaker 1: I say that now about my cats. There's just no
- 30:22Speaker 1: one to take care of them.
- 30:24Speaker 2: I think he does some speaking engagements and I'll ever
- 30:27Speaker 2: forget he was doing the talk and he goes, you know,
- 30:30Speaker 2: I come home from a road trip. My wife looked
- 30:33Speaker 2: like don king her hair. There is magic mark or
- 30:37Speaker 2: a lipstick on the wall.
- 30:39Speaker 1: She was spent.
- 30:40Speaker 2: That was it. There was one of those weeks and
- 30:44Speaker 2: a three year old.
- 30:45Speaker 1: You know really, So, I mean I can see where
- 30:50Speaker 1: where Yeah, I mean think about it in the divorce
- 30:55Speaker 1: is like so is traumatic for most people. Some people,
- 30:59Speaker 1: I guess just say walk away. Say it's been real
- 31:01Speaker 1: if they walk away. But for a lot of people,
- 31:04Speaker 1: it's from out Can you imagine the headlines? Can you imagine?
- 31:09Speaker 1: And so I got to say these women that say,
- 31:12Speaker 1: are these men that say in this case, you know
- 31:17Speaker 1: candy saying it's been brewing for a while, Like that
- 31:21Speaker 1: really means it's been going down for a while, and
- 31:24Speaker 1: I'm done.
- 31:25Speaker 2: Some disagreements going on, and they knew it was coming.
- 31:39Speaker 2: On a better note the next one that's.
- 31:43Speaker 1: Okay, okay.
- 31:44Speaker 2: On Goslin's new wife, Stephanie reveals the important promise he
- 31:51Speaker 2: made during his wedding vows when I tell you, I
- 31:55Speaker 2: thought that was so so.
- 31:57Speaker 1: Special, Tell me why.
- 32:00Speaker 2: Okay, that was very emotional wedding and John Goslin will
- 32:04Speaker 2: remember from Johnny Kate plus eight. Do you remember that?
- 32:07Speaker 1: Oh? I do.
- 32:09Speaker 2: Stephanie was a former beautician. Yeah again I can relate.
- 32:14Speaker 2: Married in an intimate ceremony in Leicester, just on Sunday,
- 32:20Speaker 2: November twenty third, as they stood in the altar in
- 32:25Speaker 2: front of their one hundred and eighty guests, John made
- 32:29Speaker 2: such a touching promise to his bride quote, I promised
- 32:33Speaker 2: to love you with conditions, to lift you up when
- 32:37Speaker 2: you are tired, to laugh with you, enjoy and hold
- 32:41Speaker 2: you in sorrow. I like, like you know, I'm almost okay.
- 32:46Speaker 1: Wait, first of all, I gotta get throw some humans.
- 32:49Speaker 2: One thing, he says, Katy, this part she put me
- 32:52Speaker 2: over the top. I promised to love your daughter as
- 32:56Speaker 2: my own daughter, referring to his wife's Stephanie's daughter. Right,
- 33:03Speaker 2: He says, it means the world to her and he
- 33:06Speaker 2: didn't feel what what didn't you feel?
- 33:09Speaker 1: Okay? Here's you know me? Because Susan is hopeless romantic.
- 33:14Speaker 1: I'm the realist. I think. First of all, I'm so
- 33:17Speaker 1: happy that John has found Stephanie. But can I just
- 33:21Speaker 1: say he's got how many children from his first man?
- 33:27Speaker 1: So Stephanie deserves a crown. Let me just say a
- 33:30Speaker 1: crown with a diamond stud for each stepchild. That's I
- 33:36Speaker 1: don't care. I don't care. Okay, let me say I
- 33:40Speaker 1: have a step mom. So this warmed my heart because
- 33:44Speaker 1: I just told you my stepmother was is my world.
- 33:48Speaker 1: She passed away two years ago, but she was my mom.
- 33:51Speaker 1: I think it's interesting. Let me say he's got eight kids. Yes,
- 33:55Speaker 1: he's got quintuplets, quadruplets, whatever the hell they're called. Only
- 34:00Speaker 1: two of the kids came to the wedding, So I'm
- 34:02Speaker 1: already thinking we got problems in paradise here because not
- 34:07Speaker 1: all the kids came to the wedding. That's number one.
- 34:09Speaker 1: Number two, I want to know why. I think it's
- 34:15Speaker 1: lovely that he mentioned Stephanie's daughter in the vows. I
- 34:20Speaker 1: think it's so sweet, but I'm But then the realist,
- 34:23Speaker 1: Kathy is saying, did we not have these conversations about
- 34:27Speaker 1: your daughter before we got married, that you know she's gonna,
- 34:31Speaker 1: oh my god, I have another daughter, Like, did we
- 34:33Speaker 1: not have this conversation? Noticeably absent was her comment about
- 34:38Speaker 1: how thrilled she was to have eight step children. We
- 34:41Speaker 1: didn't hear about that, And I want to say that
- 34:44Speaker 1: my son, you're the wedding efficient here. So I'm coming
- 34:47Speaker 1: back to you in a second with a question. My
- 34:50Speaker 1: son married an amazing woman two years ago, and yes,
- 34:54Speaker 1: Susan Knowles was the wedding efficient and did a fabulous job.
- 34:59Speaker 1: My son married a woman who has three sons. My
- 35:03Speaker 1: son has a daughter, so there are four children, not eight,
- 35:09Speaker 1: but half of that, and they are a complete family.
- 35:13Speaker 1: But they had the conversations before about you know, raising
- 35:20Speaker 1: children and their values and working as a united family.
- 35:25Speaker 2: I don't think he did. Is that what you're saying,
- 35:27Speaker 2: You don't conversation took place. I'm saying the woman's not waring.
- 35:33Speaker 2: She knows there's eight kids involved.
- 35:35Speaker 1: It's Johnny, Listen, I'm a hard ass sometimes. Why is
- 35:40Speaker 1: it so sweet that she mentioned, you know, he's got
- 35:45Speaker 1: nine eggs out of a dozen.
- 35:47Speaker 2: Now, I mean he didn't expect it. She didn't expect
- 35:52Speaker 2: that I would one of his vows.
- 35:55Speaker 1: I would.
- 35:55Speaker 2: That's what took her back. I would, Okay, Kathy, I've
- 36:01Speaker 2: been honest.
- 36:02Speaker 1: If I'm marrying a man and I have children, look, I.
- 36:06Speaker 2: Am a wedding efficient. A lot of people write their
- 36:10Speaker 2: own valves. Some of them just write words they took
- 36:13Speaker 2: off the internet. Some of them make me cry. It's unbelievable.
- 36:19Speaker 2: Some of them stutter over it. Some say forget this
- 36:22Speaker 2: and rip up the paper and just speak from their heart.
- 36:25Speaker 2: That is beautiful, and what that man said meant the
- 36:29Speaker 2: world to her.
- 36:31Speaker 1: No, I'm not taking it away. I'm saying I think
- 36:36Speaker 1: it's lovely. But noticeably absent is her saying. And I
- 36:41Speaker 1: cannot believe I'm the mother of nine.
- 36:44Speaker 2: Oh kind of tell you?
- 36:46Speaker 1: I break out in a sweat.
- 36:47Speaker 2: She's not the mother of nine. They have a mother.
- 36:52Speaker 2: She is their father's wife. That's all. She don't have
- 36:56Speaker 2: to raise those eight kids. They're raised. Okay, they're twenty one,
- 37:01Speaker 2: they're adults.
- 37:02Speaker 1: She is their stepmother.
- 37:04Speaker 2: What through the through the words stepmother? Because you married
- 37:08Speaker 2: their dad. That does it really make you a mom?
- 37:11Speaker 1: I am speechless. My stepmother was my mother because.
- 37:16Speaker 2: You were yet little and under her roof. Yes, she
- 37:19Speaker 2: raised you, She helped raise you. These children don't need
- 37:22Speaker 2: to be raised her daughter maybe who is the younger one.
- 37:29Speaker 1: I don't care. I think, as you and I both know,
- 37:31Speaker 1: children are children for life. It's not like they turned
- 37:35Speaker 1: eighteen and all of a sudden their problems go away.
- 37:37Speaker 2: I'm not saying he's not their father anymore, just that
- 37:39Speaker 2: because he got married doesn't make this new wife their mother.
- 37:44Speaker 2: And as far as the words, I think they're beautiful.
- 37:48Speaker 2: Care you, John, you should have called me. I could
- 37:51Speaker 2: have been there.
- 37:53Speaker 1: He says, I'm trying to be a good father to her,
- 37:56Speaker 1: just like one of my own. You know, I hope
- 38:00Speaker 1: he was a great father to his own children. I mean,
- 38:02Speaker 1: I don't know. I wasn't there. I think it's sweet,
- 38:05Speaker 1: But you know me, I'm not going to listen to
- 38:07Speaker 1: the words as much as I'm going to look at
- 38:09Speaker 1: his actions. So John, I'm going to be watching John.
- 38:13Speaker 1: I'm gonna be watching John, all right. Moving along, go ahead.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Who we got next?
- 38:18Speaker 2: Here? Next we have Brian Austin Green reflects on extremely
- 38:23Speaker 2: tumultuous split from x Vanessa Marcel, but he hints at
- 38:29Speaker 2: where they stand. Now.
- 38:31Speaker 1: Okay, I'm just gonna say to you, Susan, you need
- 38:34Speaker 1: a then diagram to understand this.
- 38:36Speaker 2: Because we got Megan Fox.
- 38:38Speaker 1: He had Megan Fox and he has young kids with her,
- 38:41Speaker 1: but prior to that he was engaged to Vanessa. He's
- 38:46Speaker 1: got a twenty three year old with her. They don't
- 38:49Speaker 1: get along so well. Twenty three years later, they're still
- 38:54Speaker 1: not getting along. Now it just let's add a little
- 38:56Speaker 1: more oil to the vinegar. Now he is in Gauge
- 39:00Speaker 1: to a lovely woman named Shawna Shanna rgis Urgis. So
- 39:08Speaker 1: now he's engaged. He's he's apparently gets along really well
- 39:12Speaker 1: with Megan, knows how to parent.
- 39:14Speaker 2: Everybody's doing good for the ones.
- 39:17Speaker 1: I'm like, what is the deal you You you have
- 39:21Speaker 1: this son with this woman. This kid is like, he's
- 39:25Speaker 1: not a kid. He's twenty three, twenty two, twenty three
- 39:27Speaker 1: years old. You cannot co parent that child well with
- 39:33Speaker 1: this woman, and yet you can you can co parent
- 39:39Speaker 1: with Megan Fox the next young younger children. What is
- 39:44Speaker 1: the deal? He says, you know, the transition from excess
- 39:49Speaker 1: to successful co parenting. I'm trying to figure out why
- 39:54Speaker 1: after having two kids with Megan Fox, he cannot figure
- 39:58Speaker 1: out that number one and the oldest one. Maybe he
- 40:02Speaker 1: should take some lessons and go back and see if
- 40:04Speaker 1: he can repair that relationship.
- 40:07Speaker 2: Here's how well him and Megan. They get along, they're fine,
- 40:11Speaker 2: and they co parent. They stay out of each other's way, right.
- 40:15Speaker 1: Yeah, but they are three kids together, so they're.
- 40:19Speaker 2: Past eleven and nine, and he realized early on people
- 40:23Speaker 2: separate for our reason. We're not all of a sudden
- 40:27Speaker 2: going to be just great friends. As they co parent,
- 40:31Speaker 2: we stop being together because we didn't get along as
- 40:34Speaker 2: well as we did when we first got together. So
- 40:38Speaker 2: let's take that expectation out of it and just resign
- 40:42Speaker 2: to the fact that I only care about the health
- 40:45Speaker 2: and wellness of my kids. So it sounds like, you know,
- 40:48Speaker 2: everybody's thinking, oh, they're great, they're great. He's not that great.
- 40:51Speaker 2: He's doing it. He respects it, but stay the buck
- 40:54Speaker 2: away from me.
- 40:55Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't think I feel sorry that.
- 41:00Speaker 1: I get it. He never married Vanessa. I get it.
- 41:04Speaker 1: They had this kid together, but you know what, the
- 41:07Speaker 1: kid deserves better. I'm sorry. You know, the you'rero is
- 41:10Speaker 1: the one saying marriage piece of paper. They had a
- 41:14Speaker 1: kid together. You know, it's sad. It's sad that he
- 41:18Speaker 1: could not figure out how to parent with her, and
- 41:21Speaker 1: now being engaged again, I sure hoped hell he figures
- 41:25Speaker 1: it out, because I'm guessing there's going to be more
- 41:28Speaker 1: kids coming down the pike, just as a wild guests.
- 41:32Speaker 2: How about him? Saying, and I could it was a
- 41:34Speaker 2: very tumultious separation because you have this thing in your
- 41:38Speaker 2: head of how you want to win.
- 41:40Speaker 1: Yeah, well, you know what if that's your parenting a
- 41:43Speaker 1: child is about winning, that's another problem there. I don't know.
- 41:46Speaker 1: I have to say to you.
- 41:48Speaker 2: The smarter one of the two, you want to be
- 41:50Speaker 2: acknowledged for that?
- 41:52Speaker 1: WHOA I want to ask you, Susan, what do you
- 42:06Speaker 1: think about a couple, a grown couple. We're not talking
- 42:09Speaker 1: twenty year olds. There a grown couple who cannot get
- 42:14Speaker 1: be on good terms, who cannot get along so many
- 42:18Speaker 1: years later. I think there's a problem.
- 42:21Speaker 2: There have to be something so detrimental that you can't
- 42:25Speaker 2: forgive or move on. I think it's ridiculous. I think
- 42:29Speaker 2: you have to respect each other because you're both parents
- 42:33Speaker 2: of the your family. Yeah, you know what, be well,
- 42:36Speaker 2: if I just wish the next person, well maybe not immediately,
- 42:40Speaker 2: it takes time, but you have to have relationships with
- 42:46Speaker 2: your children, and children were with the expouse, so there
- 42:50Speaker 2: has to be some kind of a relationship there. If
- 42:53Speaker 2: there's a crisis, you're gonna call the spouse.
- 42:56Speaker 1: Right, Yeah, Well you're going to call somebody the spouse,
- 42:59Speaker 1: the fiance you're gonna call somebody.
- 43:01Speaker 2: I run into people all the time that dread the
- 43:04Speaker 2: people that are getting married that I'll interview with and say,
- 43:08Speaker 2: I don't know what I'm gonna do with my parents.
- 43:10Speaker 2: My dad's bringing his girlfriend and my mom doesn't have
- 43:13Speaker 2: and it's like they can't even be in the same
- 43:16Speaker 2: room together. I can't comprehend.
- 43:18Speaker 1: My can I just tell you my parents, my real
- 43:22Speaker 1: mother and my father, are like that. When I got married,
- 43:26Speaker 1: they didn't sit at the same table, they didn't talk.
- 43:29Speaker 1: I told you War of the Roses. Here's here's what
- 43:33Speaker 1: I would say. He is now engaged to another woman.
- 43:38Speaker 1: You know, Meghan is uh, Megan, Meghan's long gone. I
- 43:42Speaker 1: mean they co parent well, the two children they have.
- 43:45Speaker 1: I think that at this point Brian ought to just
- 43:50Speaker 1: figure out how he can have a great relationship with
- 43:54Speaker 1: his son in.
- 43:55Speaker 2: It all, just get that well.
- 43:56Speaker 1: I just think I think it's too bad. I think
- 43:59Speaker 1: he missed the I guess, is what I'm saying. I
- 44:01Speaker 1: wish he could have co parented well with the child's
- 44:05Speaker 1: mom with Vanessa, but he couldn't do it. And I
- 44:08Speaker 1: think it's honestly, I think it's sad. My parents didn't
- 44:11Speaker 1: co parent well, and I feel like it's really sad.
- 44:14Speaker 1: But you know what's more sad is our next headline,
- 44:18Speaker 1: which is Tory spelling and Dean McDermot staggering seven figure
- 44:26Speaker 1: tax step revealed in the divorce settlement.
- 44:30Speaker 2: Hey, oh so much money? Oh good? Over one point
- 44:36Speaker 2: seven million in unpaid federal and state taxes. I mean one,
- 44:43Speaker 2: they are one point two million into the ire I know.
- 44:48Speaker 2: And they also own more than five hundred thousand and
- 44:52Speaker 2: unpaid taxes to the California.
- 44:54Speaker 1: Franch Okay, wait, wait, I love the fact that I
- 45:00Speaker 1: feel bad. How did that happen?
- 45:03Speaker 2: Poor?
- 45:03Speaker 1: Debt includes the Beverly Hills nine O two one zero
- 45:08Speaker 1: alump ohing two hundred eighty eight thousand to a private individual,
- 45:13Speaker 1: sixty nine thousand to another individual, over ten thousand for
- 45:18Speaker 1: medical expenses.
- 45:21Speaker 2: Uninsured, oh my god, two thousand from a student loan,
- 45:26Speaker 2: and twenty thousand in his own uninsuredble Okay, talk about
- 45:30Speaker 2: debt and divorce. We're losing a spouse and money.
- 45:35Speaker 1: Wait, they have five kids together, can you imagine? Wait?
- 45:41Speaker 2: I want to know how this happened. How do you
- 45:44Speaker 2: get so far behind? You make deals with the irs. Okay,
- 45:48Speaker 2: well students the first knut game. Okay, take this and
- 45:51Speaker 2: this out of my thing every month. I mean, come on,
- 45:54Speaker 2: this is ridiculous, Tori, What were you thinking.
- 46:01Speaker 1: So Aaron? I mean, I don't know. The rumor has
- 46:04Speaker 1: it that Aaron her father did not leave her a
- 46:10Speaker 1: lot of money, so you know, the poor thing had
- 46:12Speaker 1: to earn her own income. Was so, you know, poor her.
- 46:17Speaker 1: But I actually met her once. She's a lovely woman.
- 46:20Speaker 1: So I you know, I'm just saying I gotta say,
- 46:25Speaker 1: I think, Well, it happens because you spend you don't
- 46:30Speaker 1: pay your bills.
- 46:32Speaker 2: What are their agents that he still owes for college? Well,
- 46:36Speaker 2: would you just ignore it? You thought it was going
- 46:38Speaker 2: to go away.
- 46:40Speaker 1: You forget to put susan It could happen to anybody.
- 46:43Speaker 1: You forget to put a stamp on the envelope. Loans.
- 46:47Speaker 2: Yeah, these students loans. So these two have both already
- 46:52Speaker 2: been married. I think they figured it out the first time. No, no, no,
- 46:56Speaker 2: when you're getting remarried, when do you have that financial.
- 47:00Speaker 1: Okay, first of all, just because they've each been married
- 47:04Speaker 1: a couple of times does not mean that they have
- 47:07Speaker 1: the sense, the desire, the ethics, whatever it is to
- 47:12Speaker 1: pay their bills, their student loans, the irs. That has
- 47:16Speaker 1: nothing to do.
- 47:17Speaker 2: And right there, just pause, Say you're getting married, you
- 47:21Speaker 2: don't want to know?
- 47:22Speaker 1: Do we start with me dating? Could we start with
- 47:24Speaker 1: me dating.
- 47:25Speaker 2: That you're dating first? You love him, you're going to
- 47:27Speaker 2: marry him. You're not going to have a conversation if
- 47:29Speaker 2: he's in debt or not.
- 47:30Speaker 1: Okay, let's let's okay. Now I'm gonna be serious. We
- 47:35Speaker 1: are both in I Do Part two. We're both in
- 47:38Speaker 1: our second stage, just looking for love, our second and
- 47:42Speaker 1: hopefully final deal at love. Here, I can tell you honestly,
- 47:47Speaker 1: and you know I've taken a lot of flak for it.
- 47:50Speaker 1: I will not date men who don't have a secure income,
- 47:56Speaker 1: a retirement, a you know, own a home. If you
- 48:02Speaker 1: if if one has not discussed finances with their partner to.
- 48:08Speaker 2: The marriage or once you met, you're going to marry,
- 48:11Speaker 2: are you You're serious? Right to have that conversation, That's
- 48:15Speaker 2: what I'm saying.
- 48:16Speaker 1: But but long before marriage, Susan.
- 48:19Speaker 2: When when you're deciding that you're talking about.
- 48:22Speaker 1: No, no, no, When I'm when I first go out with
- 48:24Speaker 1: a guy, literally by the second or third date because.
- 48:29Speaker 2: You asked ten million questions for you, You're not the norm. Okay,
- 48:33Speaker 2: let's just say most women won't ask certain questions until
- 48:38Speaker 2: well into it. No, and by the second third date,
- 48:42Speaker 2: you could tell what Yes.
- 48:44Speaker 1: No, I'm saying to you on the second or third date,
- 48:47Speaker 1: I'm talking to somebody about where they live, where, if
- 48:50Speaker 1: they traveled, what do they do? What if I'm saying
- 48:54Speaker 1: by the third day, Susan, when do you ask six
- 48:56Speaker 1: years into the marriage? Yeah?
- 48:57Speaker 2: I try to just try to figure it out on
- 48:59Speaker 2: my own, and I will say, I will say how
- 49:04Speaker 2: much debt are you in? You know, when conversation comes,
- 49:07Speaker 2: do you have a big debt?
- 49:09Speaker 1: Do you? Oh?
- 49:10Speaker 2: Do you do you own?
- 49:11Speaker 1: Okay? Wait, no, I'm going to break this down. When
- 49:14Speaker 1: you're dating, do you ask do you ask someone? Do
- 49:19Speaker 1: you ask the guy you're dating do you own your home?
- 49:21Speaker 1: I do? Do you? Yes?
- 49:23Speaker 2: Is this your house?
- 49:24Speaker 1: Yeah? Do you ask if he owned it or has
- 49:27Speaker 1: a mortgage? I do? Yeah?
- 49:29Speaker 2: I could ask that. I have asked that how many
- 49:32Speaker 2: years left on your mortgage? Is the way I would
- 49:36Speaker 2: I asked.
- 49:36Speaker 1: Okay, do you ask a man? I mean I don't
- 49:39Speaker 1: have to see their four oh one k but if
- 49:42Speaker 1: I see the car the guide drives, I ask him
- 49:45Speaker 1: where he big?
- 49:46Speaker 2: You have your eyes of him. But we can't assume anything.
- 49:50Speaker 2: For all we know they're debt free or quite the opposite.
- 49:53Speaker 2: They're a trillion dollars in debt. How do you know
- 49:56Speaker 2: without a call?
- 49:57Speaker 1: Well, I can assure you if a guy's a trillion
- 49:59Speaker 1: dollars in debt, I'm out the door so fast it
- 50:01Speaker 1: feels like a nor'easter blew through the room.
- 50:04Speaker 2: I was never comfortable bringing it up to say.
- 50:06Speaker 1: Would you divorce someone if they were in debt?
- 50:11Speaker 2: Because if you're with somebody, you're married to them.
- 50:16Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, no. Listen, if you're there's dating, okay,
- 50:21Speaker 1: So when you're okay, when you're there's two things here.
- 50:25Speaker 1: When you're dating and you think about getting married, then
- 50:29Speaker 1: it's like, are we going to split the mortgage? Who's
- 50:31Speaker 1: pending the electricity? Who's paying? Okay? So you have those conversations,
- 50:37Speaker 1: right at least, I do, okay.
- 50:40Speaker 2: How are we going to do?
- 50:41Speaker 1: How are we going to how are we going to
- 50:42Speaker 1: do our finances? Now let's jump ahead and you're you're
- 50:46Speaker 1: Tory spelling, and you find out that you know your
- 50:49Speaker 1: husband forgot to put a stamp on the envelope to
- 50:52Speaker 1: the I R S and didn't pay his bills to
- 50:54Speaker 1: the University of Watchahouchi and now owns sixty nine thou dos,
- 51:00Speaker 1: At what point are you going to walk away when
- 51:02Speaker 1: you find out your guy's got a you know, he
- 51:05Speaker 1: bets on pony number nine and he's lost his fortune.
- 51:09Speaker 2: Are we saying that he's the one with all the debt.
- 51:13Speaker 1: Or okay, she forgot to lick the stamp. I'm saying,
- 51:18Speaker 1: when when do you make the decision to get out?
- 51:23Speaker 1: Do you ever do that?
- 51:24Speaker 2: Because it's a financial thing and it's a marriage, so
- 51:27Speaker 2: you got to sit down and decide how we're going
- 51:29Speaker 2: to do this. It's both of them.
- 51:32Speaker 1: Wow, I can assure you if you and I are
- 51:35Speaker 1: so different, because if I were married to a guy,
- 51:40Speaker 1: my husband was never like this. But if I were
- 51:42Speaker 1: married to a guy and I found out that he'd
- 51:45Speaker 1: been evading the irs or he had a betting gambling
- 51:50Speaker 1: habit and he was in debt.
- 51:52Speaker 2: That's an easy one. Caat of course, you walk away,
- 51:56Speaker 2: you're given all big big he's in debt. If you
- 52:00Speaker 2: find out you didn't know already, that's what I mean
- 52:03Speaker 2: that conversation. In other words, if he was not telling
- 52:07Speaker 2: you the.
- 52:07Speaker 1: Truth, yeah, I'm out.
- 52:11Speaker 2: I'm out if you go and get together.
- 52:15Speaker 1: Okay, So I'm telling you before I get married, if
- 52:18Speaker 1: should that happen to me again, I'm going to see
- 52:21Speaker 1: this guy's credit report. I'm going to see his bank accounts.
- 52:25Speaker 1: There's going to be prenups. I am never ever go
- 52:30Speaker 1: at our age, going to walk into a relationship to
- 52:35Speaker 1: pay somebody's debt.
- 52:36Speaker 2: And it says that either one of them paid two
- 52:41Speaker 2: of their debts, like nobody's doing anything here.
- 52:44Speaker 1: Yeah, well, let me be clear. It's unless I, you know,
- 52:48Speaker 1: take flak from people commenting when I say he, it
- 52:51Speaker 1: could easily be she. You know, in this case, Torri
- 52:56Speaker 1: owes buckets of money. Uh and and so does he.
- 53:00Speaker 1: And you know what, I'm not here to judge. Tory
- 53:03Speaker 1: grew up in a very wealthy family. So I get it.
- 53:07Speaker 1: You know, she went from you know, top drawer to
- 53:11Speaker 1: you know, she went from Nemon Markets to Tarja. I
- 53:14Speaker 1: get it. But but I'm saying those are things people
- 53:18Speaker 1: need to find out long before they walked down the aisle.
- 53:23Speaker 1: And you know what, when you're married, saying I didn't
- 53:26Speaker 1: know is no excuse.
- 53:28Speaker 2: Two hundred and eighty eight thousand to a private individual
- 53:32Speaker 2: and sixty nine thousand to another unidentified Why do you
- 53:36Speaker 2: all that money?
- 53:38Speaker 1: They owe it to me and I'm going after it.
- 53:43Speaker 2: I just don't get it. That's something that you should
- 53:46Speaker 2: talk about. But they were still making money. Why are
- 53:49Speaker 2: you not paying your debts? Are they both just saying
- 53:53Speaker 2: f the IRS?
- 53:54Speaker 1: Or they got one beautiful Jaguar in that garage. They
- 53:58Speaker 1: have an a Maserati and a whole home at the beach.
- 54:00Speaker 2: I mean, I'm still not good with the student loan party.
- 54:04Speaker 1: Wait, can I just tell you don't leave home without
- 54:07Speaker 1: it their American Express card? They didn't. They just forgot
- 54:11Speaker 1: to leave home and pay the bill.
- 54:13Speaker 2: You're not young enough to make this kind of money
- 54:16Speaker 2: to pay it back. That would take an entire lifetime.
- 54:20Speaker 2: IRS is not gentle. Trust me, They'll come after you.
- 54:27Speaker 1: All I can say is all I can say is
- 54:29Speaker 1: I'm going to get my lawyer on it. I mean,
- 54:32Speaker 1: I'm guessing they don't even know who they owe the
- 54:34Speaker 1: individual money to. I'm going to put an acclaim.
- 54:36Speaker 2: This is the divorce settlement. They're fake. They're just now
- 54:40Speaker 2: figuring this out during the divorce. How much they owe.
- 54:44Speaker 1: No no, no no no no no no no no
- 54:47Speaker 1: no no. They both knew this is coming out in
- 54:51Speaker 1: the divorce papers. This is this is the price you pay,
- 54:54Speaker 1: Susan for being a famous person. This is the price
- 54:59Speaker 1: you pay.
- 55:00Speaker 2: People make famous money. What did they do with the money.
- 55:03Speaker 1: I'm going to get Toy on the phone and I'm
- 55:05Speaker 1: going to get back to on that. But I don't know.
- 55:08Speaker 1: This was a lot to break down, Susan, and I
- 55:11Speaker 1: just want everyone out there to know if you are
- 55:14Speaker 1: single or divorced, or you've lost a spouse, truly, we
