Latest / Michelle Explains Anime, Poorly / The Winter 2026 Anime Season
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, it's your person, Michelle. Kind of. I have a
- 0:05Speaker 1: cold and I do not feel good, so I apologize
- 0:08Speaker 1: also that I probably don't sound good. I can only
- 0:11Speaker 1: breathe out of one nostril and it's tough. But I
- 0:16Speaker 1: guess I really looked out. Because this is gonna be
- 0:18Speaker 1: a short episode. We're just gonna talk about what's airing
- 0:20Speaker 1: in this season of anime and Winter twenty twenty six,
- 0:24Speaker 1: and then we'll do another's up next week, and hopefully
- 0:27Speaker 1: by the time I have to record that episode, I'll
- 0:29Speaker 1: be able to talk for a little bit longer. So
- 0:33Speaker 1: let's just get right into it. Uh first, I'm just
- 0:36Speaker 1: gonna tell you about some of the shows that are
- 0:37Speaker 1: returning with new seasons that I'm interested in, and yeah,
- 0:41Speaker 1: we'll go from there. So the first thing is jiu
- 0:45Speaker 1: Jitsu Kaizen has its third season. I guess it's The
- 0:49Speaker 1: Cullen Games Part one, and it stays at the same studio.
- 0:53Speaker 1: It's still Studio MAPA. It's still being directed by Shotako Shozo. Oh,
- 0:58Speaker 1: I think I got that right? Yeah? Cool. I just
- 1:04Speaker 1: sit off the top of my head and then I
- 1:05Speaker 1: looked down. I was like, no, that's his name. Yay,
- 1:08Speaker 1: showed up Ghosho Zono awesome. He's the director, so yeah.
- 1:12Speaker 1: He also directed the second season of Jiu Jitsu Kaisen
- 1:15Speaker 1: and it was really directed pretty well. We did have
- 1:19Speaker 1: some problems towards the end of the season. If you
- 1:21Speaker 1: watch Jiu Jitsu Kaisen, you might remember like they just
- 1:25Speaker 1: didn't have time to finish everything, and animators were like
- 1:27Speaker 1: apologizing and shit, it looked really cool, but it wasn't
- 1:31Speaker 1: enough for them. So I'm interested to see what happens
- 1:34Speaker 1: with them, if timelines are gonna make more sense this time,
- 1:37Speaker 1: because if they're not, like I just don't want to
- 1:39Speaker 1: see everyone like struggling to survive, you know, the ship
- 1:42Speaker 1: going down in flames or whatever the hell metaphor you
- 1:46Speaker 1: want there. But I saw the first episode, well, I
- 1:48Speaker 1: saw the first two episodes. They had aired as a
- 1:51Speaker 1: like a little movie in theaters, and I didn't see
- 1:54Speaker 1: it in theater because I don't really like Jiu Jitsu
- 1:55Speaker 1: Kisen enough to do that. But now that the first
- 1:59Speaker 1: two episodes are are released and have been released in
- 2:01Speaker 1: Japan on TV and I got to see them, they
- 2:04Speaker 1: were amazing. They were so so good, so beautiful, so
- 2:09Speaker 1: fucking well directed, and like I don't know how to
- 2:13Speaker 1: explain this to you, because, like, I'm just sad because
- 2:16Speaker 1: I don't really like the Clen game arc I have read,
- 2:22Speaker 1: I guess most of Jiujitsu Kaisen. I really really didn't
- 2:26Speaker 1: like this arc. There were too many new characters that
- 2:29Speaker 1: I didn't care about that were introduced too quickly, and like,
- 2:33Speaker 1: I just want to know what's going on with the
- 2:35Speaker 1: main guys, And there were just so many things in
- 2:37Speaker 1: this arc that I was just like, why is this here?
- 2:40Speaker 1: And then it's like never talked about again, and I
- 2:42Speaker 1: like didn't totally understand what the point of it even
- 2:45Speaker 1: was and stuff like that. So I wish that this
- 2:50Speaker 1: talent was actually going to something that I liked a
- 2:53Speaker 1: little bit more. But what can you say. I'm sure
- 2:57Speaker 1: that major Jujitsu Kaisen fans are super excited, and I'm
- 3:01Speaker 1: not saying I don't like Jiujitsu Kaisen actually because I do.
- 3:04Speaker 1: It's just like not one of my absolute favorites. And
- 3:08Speaker 1: I'm hoping, actually that this will change the way I
- 3:11Speaker 1: feel about the Cullen Game arc. Maybe I'll end up
- 3:16Speaker 1: really really liking it and I'll understand it better. I mean,
- 3:19Speaker 1: I didn't understand that whole screenshot where they just showed
- 3:22Speaker 1: you all the rules they did in episode like two
- 3:24Speaker 1: or whatever. Just now, that was hard. But I've got
- 3:28Speaker 1: high hopes for it. And even if I don't end
- 3:30Speaker 1: up liking this arc, I think the direction is gonna
- 3:33Speaker 1: just be phenomenal. So I'm excited for it anyway. Moving on,
- 3:39Speaker 1: something else I'm really excited for is Golden Kamui. The
- 3:43Speaker 1: final season, which I believe is like season five or
- 3:45Speaker 1: something or four. I should have looked that up, doesn't matter,
- 3:48Speaker 1: the final one. This is the end. It is being
- 3:51Speaker 1: done by Studio brain Space, and the director is Sh'S
- 3:55Speaker 1: Ataka Sugahata. I don't know if you know anything about
- 3:59Speaker 1: Golden Kamui, but basically it's historical fiction. I mean, it's
- 4:05Speaker 1: very very fiction, but in a historical setting. So I
- 4:08Speaker 1: believe that's historical fiction about the Iknew, which is a
- 4:14Speaker 1: native tribe in Japan in Hokkaido. So basically, like a
- 4:19Speaker 1: soldier and an i New girl trying to find gold
- 4:23Speaker 1: that has been hidden and there's a map that's been
- 4:27Speaker 1: tattooed on the back of prisoners and just stuff like that.
- 4:30Speaker 1: It's I don't know how that sounds to you. But
- 4:32Speaker 1: it is like insane, it's so fucking weird. It's really
- 4:36Speaker 1: really good. It's just like really out there humor wise,
- 4:41Speaker 1: and it's been fun. I didn't totally love last season
- 4:45Speaker 1: of it, and I don't mean story wise, I mean
- 4:47Speaker 1: direction wise. So unfortunately it's going back to that same
- 4:51Speaker 1: director again, because I believe it's switched studios or directors
- 4:54Speaker 1: at some point. And it's like never like beautifully animated.
- 4:59Speaker 1: It's not poorly I made it at all, but like
- 5:01Speaker 1: it's not one of those like top tier. We wanted
- 5:04Speaker 1: to make this look like a movie anime like I
- 5:06Speaker 1: don't think they have the money for that. But the
- 5:08Speaker 1: story is really good. The manga has already finished, and
- 5:10Speaker 1: I believe most people like the ending. I have not
- 5:13Speaker 1: read all of the manga, so I am excited for it.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Of course, I watched the first episode. Another one came out,
- 5:19Speaker 1: but I fell asleep so I couldn't watch it last night.
- 5:22Speaker 1: And anyway, with the first episode, I liked it, except
- 5:25Speaker 1: I had no idea what was going on, so I
- 5:28Speaker 1: really got to go back and watch the last season again.
- 5:30Speaker 1: But yeah, that next we have Hell's Paradise. I guess
- 5:35Speaker 1: that's Jigoko daku if I'm pronouncing that right. Having season two,
- 5:39Speaker 1: which is I guess fine. I liked Hell's Paradise season one.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I didn't think it was great. I didn't think that MAPA,
- 5:46Speaker 1: the studio that's you know, working on it, put in
- 5:49Speaker 1: as much time and I guess energy and money into
- 5:53Speaker 1: it as they did like Jujitsu Kaisen for instance, or
- 5:56Speaker 1: even chainsaw Man. And there were just things I remember
- 5:59Speaker 1: seeing and going like I wish someone would fix that,
- 6:02Speaker 1: or like that kind of doesn't look like he's walking guys,
- 6:05Speaker 1: but not bad, just not up to like amazing, amazing quality.
- 6:09Speaker 1: I also have to go back and watch the end
- 6:11Speaker 1: of the first season again because I watched the first
- 6:13Speaker 1: episode of the second season yesterday and I was like,
- 6:16Speaker 1: I don't know what's happening, but he'll probably be pretty
- 6:20Speaker 1: decent maybe, I guess. Basically, it's a bunch of convicts
- 6:23Speaker 1: on an island. They were sent there they gotta find
- 6:26Speaker 1: I guess, like the elixir of eternal youth or whatever
- 6:28Speaker 1: the fuck. But they're these big, scary monsters and stuff,
- 6:32Speaker 1: and no one has ever come back from the islands,
- 6:34Speaker 1: probably because there's like immortal shape shifting monsters on it.
- 6:37Speaker 1: I don't know, but yeah, the main character is like
- 6:40Speaker 1: a criminal, like I guess he's like an assassin and
- 6:44Speaker 1: he's pretty cool. Yeah, that's stuff, right. Another thing I
- 6:49Speaker 1: wanted to point out here because I was like looking
- 6:52Speaker 1: into who was directing all of these really quickly, is
- 6:54Speaker 1: that the director of Hell's Paradise is Kaori Makda. And
- 7:01Speaker 1: I didn't know this last time I saw Hell's Paradise
- 7:05Speaker 1: because I didn't know this at all last time, but
- 7:09Speaker 1: she did some episode direction on Banana Fish, specifically episode three, seven, fourteen, nineteen,
- 7:15Speaker 1: and twenty four. She was the episode director's four. So
- 7:21Speaker 1: I was just listening back to some of the podcasts
- 7:24Speaker 1: about Banana Fish the other day, I'm sorry, and I
- 7:29Speaker 1: remembered that I like love the direction from episode seven,
- 7:32Speaker 1: So to see her name pop up for this, I
- 7:34Speaker 1: was like, oh shit, Like maybe she is a really
- 7:36Speaker 1: good director. I think she's fine, but like episode seven
- 7:39Speaker 1: of Banana Fish and twenty four really pretty well directed.
- 7:43Speaker 1: So I'm rooting for is all I can say. Really. Okay,
- 7:49Speaker 1: So another thing that's getting another season is ohh no,
- 7:52Speaker 1: co Let's getting the third season. That's at Doga Kubo
- 7:56Speaker 1: Studio and the director is dis Ski Hitamaki. I like
- 8:01Speaker 1: Oshi no co I really think it's interesting. It's about
- 8:06Speaker 1: two people who get reincarnated as their favorite idol's children,
- 8:11Speaker 1: which is the weirdest premise, and yeah, it's sad, and
- 8:16Speaker 1: it's about the acting in music industry a little bit.
- 8:20Speaker 1: The problem is for me, I have not read the manga,
- 8:24Speaker 1: but I have heard only horrible things about the ending
- 8:28Speaker 1: of this. It is written by the same person who
- 8:31Speaker 1: wrote Kagya Sama Love is War, and from what I've
- 8:36Speaker 1: gathered from what people have said on the internet, they
- 8:39Speaker 1: just get tired of what they're writing towards the end
- 8:41Speaker 1: and they just kind of try to wrap it up quickly,
- 8:43Speaker 1: or they just kind of can't do endings, which it's
- 8:46Speaker 1: hard to do. It's hard to make a really convincing ending,
- 8:48Speaker 1: and they just fail at making good endings. So I
- 8:51Speaker 1: know people were like pissed off about the end of
- 8:54Speaker 1: Oshio Coo. So I'll be interested to see if we
- 8:57Speaker 1: start heading in the same direction. Not that I know
- 8:59Speaker 1: what it was. I kind of might know what happens
- 9:01Speaker 1: at the end of Ohinoko, but I'm definitely gonna spoil
- 9:04Speaker 1: it for you. But yeah, I'll be watching that, I
- 9:07Speaker 1: liked the other seasons, kind of waiting for it to
- 9:09Speaker 1: fall apart, honestly, and right towards the end of last
- 9:12Speaker 1: season there was a really big reveal and it was
- 9:16Speaker 1: like super well done. So yeah, I'm kind of excited
- 9:20Speaker 1: about that. There are so many things coming back. But
- 9:24Speaker 1: since I just talked about Ohinoko, that isn't the only
- 9:28Speaker 1: series that Aka Akasaka, the actual writer of Ochinoko, has
- 9:34Speaker 1: that's currently doing anime stuff with. I just looked up
- 9:36Speaker 1: the name. That's why I didn't say before. Kakya Sama
- 9:40Speaker 1: Love is War got two episodes, just two episodes, not
- 9:45Speaker 1: more than that that I watched called The Stairway to Adulthood,
- 9:50Speaker 1: and then I think there's gonna be some sort of
- 9:52Speaker 1: conclusion movie, like we're not gonna get a final season
- 9:55Speaker 1: of that because also people didn't like the end of
- 9:59Speaker 1: the mo or something, but they also like skipped tons
- 10:05Speaker 1: of tons of chapters, Like I think the last thing
- 10:07Speaker 1: we had before The Stairway to Adulthood was that like
- 10:11Speaker 1: movie like The Kiss That Never Ends? Oh God, what
- 10:15Speaker 1: is it called? No, that's it. I just looked it up.
- 10:17Speaker 1: It's The Kiss That Never Ends. Anyway, they had that movie.
- 10:20Speaker 1: That was the last thing that we had from Kagya Sama,
- 10:23Speaker 1: and I really liked that a lot. But between that
- 10:27Speaker 1: and the new two episodes, they skipped like tons of chapters,
- 10:33Speaker 1: and I think what I heard is that the Stairway
- 10:35Speaker 1: to Adulthood is like the end of the manga and
- 10:37Speaker 1: that the movie is gonna be like a conclusion that's
- 10:40Speaker 1: further in the future. I don't know, but I found
- 10:44Speaker 1: the two new episodes totally fucking confusing, Like everything was different.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Kaga is like looking at pictures of like when they
- 10:51Speaker 1: were in school, and it's like, it's weird to bring
- 10:53Speaker 1: up this motif all of a sudden because we haven't
- 10:54Speaker 1: been doing that, and everything is just over, like what
- 10:58Speaker 1: the fuck? Like it wasn't bad, I guess, but I
- 11:02Speaker 1: just felt totally lost. And it's not because I don't
- 11:06Speaker 1: remember what happened last in the anime, so it wasn't
- 11:09Speaker 1: the world honestly. But that's over already. So if you
- 11:13Speaker 1: want to go watch those two episodes, they're already up
- 11:16Speaker 1: and there's not more of a season. So yeah, okay,
- 11:19Speaker 1: we still got like two more returning seasons of shows
- 11:22Speaker 1: that I want to talk about. So the first one
- 11:24Speaker 1: is Trygun Stargaze, which is the follow up to try
- 11:27Speaker 1: Gun Stampede that I actually talked about on this podcast.
- 11:31Speaker 1: If you guys remember that I didn't like uh, I
- 11:36Speaker 1: don't know if you know that I didn't like it.
- 11:39Speaker 1: I think I was pretty nice about what I said
- 11:42Speaker 1: about it when I was actually talking about it here,
- 11:45Speaker 1: but I did not like it. I really thought, out
- 11:49Speaker 1: of all of the Trigun things that are almost like
- 11:52Speaker 1: parallel universes of each other at this point, the manga,
- 11:56Speaker 1: the nineteen ninety eight anime, and Stampede, I think Stampede
- 12:00Speaker 1: was the least good, And it sucks that I feel
- 12:03Speaker 1: that way, but I do. So I'm gonna watch Trygun Stargates.
- 12:07Speaker 1: The first episode is already out, but I haven't yet
- 12:10Speaker 1: because I kind of don't want to because I kind
- 12:14Speaker 1: of don't want it to suck and me watch it suck,
- 12:19Speaker 1: but I will. It's at Studio Orange again. Obviously, it's
- 12:24Speaker 1: in three D animation still, but there's a new director
- 12:28Speaker 1: I think, which I thought was really interesting. Stampede was
- 12:31Speaker 1: directed by Kenji Muto, and this season or Stargaz or
- 12:35Speaker 1: whatever is directed by Masako Sato. I don't know why
- 12:39Speaker 1: the changes. But Masako Sato you might know from being
- 12:42Speaker 1: the director of Hiq, which I haven't ever watched, but
- 12:45Speaker 1: that's a pretty big important anime, I think, so maybe
- 12:50Speaker 1: this will be good. Maybe having a new director will
- 12:52Speaker 1: kind of, I don't know, change this in a way
- 12:54Speaker 1: that makes me love this because I really do love
- 12:58Speaker 1: try Gun and we really don't want to see stuff
- 13:02Speaker 1: I don't like done to try Gun basically, And it's
- 13:05Speaker 1: totally okay if you liked Trygun Stampede. I didn't think
- 13:09Speaker 1: it was objectively bad or anything. I just it's just
- 13:13Speaker 1: not what I wanted. So yeah, I am like gonna
- 13:18Speaker 1: watch it. I don't know if I'm looking forward to
- 13:20Speaker 1: it though, So yeah, all right, one more thing. We're
- 13:24Speaker 1: almost done, guys. Sorry, free Retten. Beyond the Journey's End
- 13:28Speaker 1: gets season two. It's starting on the sixteenth, which is
- 13:32Speaker 1: the only one I'm telling you about the day starts
- 13:34Speaker 1: on because it's the only one that's relevant. Let's say, yeah,
- 13:38Speaker 1: it's starting like tomorrow. I guess if this is Thursday.
- 13:41Speaker 1: I think Thursday's the fifteenth, it is, So yeah, if
- 13:46Speaker 1: you're listening to this on Thursday, don't forget to watch it.
- 13:48Speaker 1: It'll be on tomorrow, I guess if that's what you
- 13:51Speaker 1: want anyway. Free Rean was a huge big deal last year.
- 13:58Speaker 1: I don't know if last year was twenty twenty five now,
- 14:01Speaker 1: but it feels like it was about a year ago
- 14:03Speaker 1: that we had the first season. It was directed beautifully,
- 14:07Speaker 1: the story is very nice. It's one of a bunch
- 14:10Speaker 1: of anime that I think is objectively good that I
- 14:14Speaker 1: don't love. I really really like it. I like the
- 14:19Speaker 1: message for the most part, but there's something about maybe
- 14:23Speaker 1: Freeran as a character or the story that doesn't click
- 14:26Speaker 1: with me, and I don't know what it is, and
- 14:29Speaker 1: I don't even know of anyone else who feels like that.
- 14:31Speaker 1: So I think that you should watch it. I mean,
- 14:34Speaker 1: if you haven't seen it at all, I would go
- 14:36Speaker 1: ahead and watch the first season and see if you
- 14:38Speaker 1: like it, because you probably are going to. But it's
- 14:42Speaker 1: just not perfect for me. But again, you should watch it.
- 14:47Speaker 1: I did want to say, though, that it's being done
- 14:50Speaker 1: by Studio Madhouse, which is totally good. I mean, they
- 14:54Speaker 1: do good and bad things, but it's being directed by
- 14:57Speaker 1: Tamoya Kitagawa, which I thought was really weird because that's
- 15:01Speaker 1: not the director from season one. Season one was Saito Kchiro,
- 15:05Speaker 1: who I think is a great director, And so I
- 15:09Speaker 1: was looking at it, and it looks like they flipped roles.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Season one, Tamoya Kitagawa was the assistant director and Saito
- 15:17Speaker 1: Kchiro was the director, and now they're flipped. So Sito
- 15:21Speaker 1: Kichiro is an assistant director now and Tamoya Kitagawa is
- 15:27Speaker 1: the main director, or at least Tomoya Kitagawa used to
- 15:30Speaker 1: be something for the show. I don't know, So I
- 15:33Speaker 1: don't know why the switch. Maybe Sito Kchiro is doing
- 15:36Speaker 1: a bunch of other things and he doesn't have time.
- 15:38Speaker 1: I don't know, but I'm sure it'll still be really good.
- 15:43Speaker 1: So yeah, and with that, I think that that's it
- 15:47Speaker 1: for new seasons of shows that you may have seen
- 15:50Speaker 1: before and that I'm interested in. At least, I was
- 15:55Speaker 1: going to tell you that there weren't any new shows
- 15:57Speaker 1: that aren't sequels that I was excited, but yay, that
- 16:01Speaker 1: isn't true anymore. Thanks reddits. So there are two new
- 16:06Speaker 1: shows that I'm interested in that I didn't write a
- 16:08Speaker 1: lot about because when I wrote all my notes it
- 16:10Speaker 1: was before I decided to cover these. So the first
- 16:13Speaker 1: one is sentenced to be a hero, which I basically
- 16:17Speaker 1: know nothing about. I didn't even write down what studio's
- 16:19Speaker 1: doing it here, but I guess the basic line is
- 16:22Speaker 1: that like they're, you know, criminals or something, and if
- 16:26Speaker 1: you're a criminal, then you have to let go and
- 16:28Speaker 1: you know, save people and do heroqu stuff because it's
- 16:30Speaker 1: dangerous or whatever. I don't know something like that. Maybe
- 16:35Speaker 1: I literally have no idea, but I heard that the
- 16:36Speaker 1: first episode was really good, so I'm gonna check it out,
- 16:39Speaker 1: and maybe you can too, if that's something that you
- 16:41Speaker 1: think could be interested in. And the other thing, which
- 16:44Speaker 1: is totally out of left field, I did not know
- 16:46Speaker 1: about it at all until like the day before yesterday
- 16:50Speaker 1: is Shibo Yugi playing death games to put food on
- 16:53Speaker 1: the table, which you probably guessed it from the long
- 16:56Speaker 1: title is based on a light novel. When I first
- 17:01Speaker 1: heard about this two days ago, I thought maybe it
- 17:03Speaker 1: was gonna be a comedy, because that sounds really I
- 17:07Speaker 1: don't know why, it just it seemed like it could
- 17:09Speaker 1: have been one of those like kind of offbeat comedies.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Two days ago, when I first saw it, I was like, hey,
- 17:15Speaker 1: I'm probably not gonna watch it, and then I saw
- 17:17Speaker 1: people saying like that was a really good episode. I
- 17:20Speaker 1: don't know if I can watch this whole thing though,
- 17:22Speaker 1: And I was like, oh, is it like really soul crushing?
- 17:24Speaker 1: Do I need to watch this now? So I watched
- 17:27Speaker 1: the episode, and I want to tell you, like, it
- 17:30Speaker 1: was like forty three minutes long or something. So I
- 17:32Speaker 1: guess it was a double episode or like an hour
- 17:35Speaker 1: on TV or something. And I did not realize it
- 17:38Speaker 1: was that long until I was done, basically, and I
- 17:42Speaker 1: looked at the clock and I was like, oh shit,
- 17:44Speaker 1: that was not twenty minutes, which is a really big
- 17:46Speaker 1: deal for me because usually when an anime does that,
- 17:50Speaker 1: when you have like a double episode, it's the first episode,
- 17:53Speaker 1: I know, because it feels like it's been going on forever.
- 17:56Speaker 1: This was just so interesting and good that I didn't
- 18:00Speaker 1: notice the time. But basically, it's not a comedy at all,
- 18:05Speaker 1: as you probably figured it out. It's really really fucked
- 18:08Speaker 1: up and sad, I think. And I guess the main character,
- 18:11Speaker 1: whose name is Yuki, is like the title suggests, participating
- 18:15Speaker 1: in like death games that would be put on TV
- 18:18Speaker 1: or something in order to make money. And I guess everyone,
- 18:22Speaker 1: for the most part is participating in the death games
- 18:25Speaker 1: to make money, except for a couple of people who
- 18:26Speaker 1: seem like they have been coerced or forced to, you know,
- 18:32Speaker 1: actually participate in them. But the difference between her and
- 18:35Speaker 1: them is that she is like a veteran. She's done
- 18:37Speaker 1: this like twenty eight times or something crazy like that,
- 18:40Speaker 1: so she's gonna be really helpful to these new players
- 18:43Speaker 1: and stuff. And yeah, I'm not gonna tell you any
- 18:46Speaker 1: more than that. It was. It was really upsetting. I
- 18:49Speaker 1: really really liked it. So I'm hoping that we can
- 18:52Speaker 1: kind of stick to this and it won't get like
- 18:54Speaker 1: either Stale or I guess Stale was really the only
- 18:58Speaker 1: thing I could get that would upset me. So I
- 19:01Speaker 1: was gonna like say more things, but I'm not going
- 19:03Speaker 1: to just watch it if that sounds interesting to you.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Lots of death obviously, it's a death game, all right.
- 19:10Speaker 1: So that's pretty much all I am watching this season.
- 19:13Speaker 1: I think there are some things that are coming back
- 19:18Speaker 1: that I'm not gonna watch, and you can't make me,
- 19:20Speaker 1: but I will tell you about them anyway in case
- 19:22Speaker 1: you want to watch them, because you should watch whatever
- 19:25Speaker 1: you want to watch, even if I don't like it,
- 19:28Speaker 1: especially because I probably don't even know you, so you
- 19:30Speaker 1: can watch it and I would never even know. You
- 19:33Speaker 1: don't even have to lie to me because we don't
- 19:34Speaker 1: talk to each other. You could talk to me though,
- 19:37Speaker 1: if you want. Anyway, there are like four of these
- 19:40Speaker 1: shows that I don't have any interest in continuing, but
- 19:44Speaker 1: I saw part of them. So the first one is
- 19:46Speaker 1: My hero Academia Vigilantes season two. I don't know why.
- 19:50Speaker 1: I've heard that people really like Vigilantes, but I watched
- 19:55Speaker 1: the first maybe three or four episodes of the first
- 19:58Speaker 1: season and I was just bored and I didn't really
- 20:00Speaker 1: like the characters. So I'm done. I'm just done with
- 20:03Speaker 1: my hero Academia in general. I haven't watched the main
- 20:06Speaker 1: one in many, many seasons because I got just bored,
- 20:12Speaker 1: just exceedingly exceedingly tired with just tons of filler, and
- 20:17Speaker 1: I don't want to see them do school stuff. I'm
- 20:19Speaker 1: sorry anyway. So there's that. There's Fire Force season three,
- 20:23Speaker 1: Part two. I forgot that there was a season two,
- 20:25Speaker 1: and that's fine. I can't there's too much fan service
- 20:29Speaker 1: in it for me to take it seriously. Sorry. Then
- 20:33Speaker 1: we have the second season of Chains Soldier that is out.
- 20:37Speaker 1: I'm not really into Etchy, so this is not really
- 20:40Speaker 1: for me. I didn't like the couple of episodes I saw,
- 20:43Speaker 1: but maybe you do, and that's totally fine. And then finally,
- 20:47Speaker 1: and this one, I'll say with a little bit of hesitation,
- 20:50Speaker 1: Undead Unluck has its winter arc coming up. I don't
- 20:54Speaker 1: dislike Undead Unluck. I just I didn't like it that
- 20:58Speaker 1: much either. I'm trying to decide if I wanna watch
- 21:01Speaker 1: more of it or not. I feel like I missed
- 21:04Speaker 1: a bunch though, so probably not. But I wouldn't say
- 21:08Speaker 1: it's bad or anything. So that's kind of what I
- 21:12Speaker 1: have for you today. I hope that that was enough
- 21:16Speaker 1: and that you feel like you learn something or you're like, oh, yeah,
- 21:20Speaker 1: I'm watching all those two and then you like discussing
- 21:22Speaker 1: them with me, cause I like discussing them with you,
- 21:25Speaker 1: except that I feel terrible. So yeah, and if not,
- 21:29Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I'm really sorry that I've done this too
- 21:33Speaker 1: and that you hated it. Anyway, I will see you
- 21:36Speaker 1: next week because we're starting Given and I'm actually really
- 21:40Speaker 1: excited about it because I already took notes on the
- 21:42Speaker 1: first episode and it was really fun. Because I think
- 21:45Speaker 1: I've said this before, but not all of the shows
- 21:47Speaker 1: that I write notes on end up being fun. Like
- 21:50Speaker 1: I always choose shows that I think I'm gonna enjoy
- 21:53Speaker 1: because it's it's better that way. But sometimes the writing
- 21:58Speaker 1: of notes processes is like stressful or annoying or taxing.
- 22:03Speaker 1: And the first episode was just fun. I had a
- 22:05Speaker 1: good time. So yeah, that's happening next week unless I
- 22:11Speaker 1: can't get over this cold and this is the end
- 22:13Speaker 1: of my life. I hope not. I'm pretty sure it's
- 22:16Speaker 1: just the cold. I have horrible anxiety. So I'm gonna
- 22:21Speaker 1: go and I'm gonna get this all polished up so
- 22:24Speaker 1: that you can like listen to it, and maybe I'll
- 22:27Speaker 1: even start recording the first episode of Given or Not.
- 22:31Speaker 1: I don't really know. That is pretty much it again.
- 22:35Speaker 1: I just said that, So have a really good whatever,
- 22:40Speaker 1: and don't get a really bad cold because it's not
- 22:42Speaker 1: fun and I don't like not being able to sleep
- 22:45Speaker 1: because my notes is running later webs
