- 0:27Hey everybody, good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:31So today I want to talk to you about being a professional
- 0:34warrior in my opinion. Again, this is just my opinion.
- 0:38While everybody worries, I think women really do an excellent job
- 0:42of worrying. And I know I'm the top warrior
- 0:46of Reformed, I should say and, but am I really reformed?
- 0:49I don't know. I always wonder about that
- 0:51because I still have things that I worry about.
- 0:53But I used to be way worse, way worse than I am now.
- 0:58Am I still? Do I still have the tendencies
- 1:00to do it? Can I still go there?
- 1:02Absolutely. But worrying what?
- 1:05What is the F, you know, what is the cause of it?
- 1:08What is the the reason that we go to it so easily?
- 1:11What is the the the root cause that makes women particularly be
- 1:17a warrior? So thinking about this and
- 1:20really digging into this with my clients and researching and
- 1:25looking through everything, there's no direct correlation
- 1:29for a lot of it other than, you know, the the pace at which we
- 1:33live. But I think women have always
- 1:35been warriors. I mean, my mother was a
- 1:37professional warrior as well and her mother was a professional
- 1:41warrior. So you can go back and think,
- 1:44well, you know, no doubt hundreds and hundreds and
- 1:47hundreds, if not thousands of years this has been the case.
- 1:51And in my opinion, I truly believe that a lot of the
- 1:54worrying that we do as women just comes from the the the
- 1:58place of being a nurturer that our nature as women is to
- 2:04nurture. That is part of our hard wiring.
- 2:07We can't get away from that. Women always want to nurture
- 2:11things, whether it's, you know, their children, their families,
- 2:15their homes, their farms, their workers, their their projects.
- 2:20It doesn't matter. They women just love to grow
- 2:24things. They love to nurture things.
- 2:26They love to see them blossom, if you will.
- 2:30Now, is this across the board for every single woman?
- 2:34No. And it shouldn't be.
- 2:35But those, most of us, the preponderance of us, have this.
- 2:41And again I think it's just in our nature.
- 2:44I think it's just part of our DNA and part of our hard wiring
- 2:48just like you know safety, survival, all of that that's
- 2:51there. We just have different ways to
- 2:53get there than most men and worrying is part of it.
- 2:58Remember our emotions are tied to us to help us get information
- 3:03and quickly course correct. So worrying is and was a way
- 3:07that gets us to pay attention to something that needs attention
- 3:11in order to shift and move in a different direction to get to
- 3:14the right place. But this world we live in now,
- 3:19the society this, the way information comes at us, it's so
- 3:22fast and so furious and so much that our brains just cannot
- 3:27possibly comprehend it all coming at once.
- 3:29So we just effectively delete, delete, delete, delete, delete,
- 3:33and we move on. And then we choose the things
- 3:36that we're going to worry about. And when we pick them, they seem
- 3:39to stick to us like nasty boogers, if you will.
- 3:42They just don't get off. And we try.
- 3:44We try to get them off and they don't.
- 3:47And the nature of this comes from a good place.
- 3:52So I have the experience myself beating myself up for feeling a
- 3:58certain way and thinking what the hell is wrong with me?
- 4:01You know, going to this place of self deprecation so that I can
- 4:05try to beat it out of myself. But as you've heard me say
- 4:08before, when you subscribe to the methodology of the beatings
- 4:12will continue until morale improves.
- 4:14You're screwed because you can't beat yourself up enough to
- 4:18change the situation. So recognizing that the root
- 4:22cause of this, the root place that this all comes from, is
- 4:27nurturing, eases it. It gives me the place of of of
- 4:33going to that's much more relaxed, much more like, OK,
- 4:36this is coming from my nurturing side.
- 4:39This means I'm I'm attempting to care for something which is
- 4:44good, that is good. OK, those are right thoughts in
- 4:48my opinion. However, when they turn and they
- 4:51become a problem, that's when they go to wrong thinking and
- 4:54you have to kind of swirl yourself around and say OK, this
- 4:57is too much. I went too far and allowing
- 5:00other people to have their experiences, IE if you're
- 5:03worried about your children all the time, they have to learn and
- 5:06many of them as I know I was one of those kids.
- 5:10I had to learn through my own experience and I did not learn
- 5:15all the time through the experience of others.
- 5:18There did hit a point in my life where I said OK, I see that
- 5:21happening to them. I do not want that happen to me.
- 5:24And I stopped myself from where I was headed, and that was a
- 5:27gift because I was able to learn from someone else's experience.
- 5:30And to me, that's the relative, the the relationship with true
- 5:34intelligence. When you can look at something
- 5:36that someone else did and learn from them, that is true
- 5:39intelligence. We learn so much that way.
- 5:42But certain other experiences, we let it go.
- 5:45And that's where you start to say, OK, I've moved into a
- 5:49different level of intelligence when I can do that.
- 5:51And you can do that with worrying as well.
- 5:53You can do that by recognizing this is part of your nature and
- 5:57directed in the right way, coming from the right intent.
- 6:01It's all good. And when you start to see that,
- 6:04it's easier to let go of it. When you start to see that, it's
- 6:07easier to stop beating yourself up for being a warrior and it's
- 6:10also easier to think outside of those conditions and say I would
- 6:15like to make this happen instead of worrying and then you can
- 6:18start to move towards that. So hopefully this helps my
- 6:22professional warriors out there the way it helps me and I hope
- 6:26you guys have a blessed day and I will see you tomorrow.
- 6:29Bye.
