- 0:00Cultivating a culture of continuous Improvement.
- 0:04What does that mean? What does that look like?
- 0:07Something I'm really excited about is to share a few updates
- 0:10person. Foremost, I'm excited to
- 0:14announce that a lot of the efforts moving forward in my
- 0:18career, going to be based around a few core focuses.
- 0:21And a lot of that is going to be based around building.
- 0:25My time, my effort, my initiatives around cultivating,
- 0:28a culture of continuous Improvement because a lot of the
- 0:31companies and I'm associating myself with Are companies that
- 0:36are rooted in that, in that religion.
- 0:41Right. I think, what do you look at
- 0:45diversion? Whether you look at all Miss.
- 0:50whether you look at Beyond brand, whether you look at,
- 0:57whether you look at the work that we did with mine stand,
- 1:01whether you look at the work that we did with Beyond resume.
- 1:06And I'm just, I'm just going to keep going right?
- 1:08Whether you look at the work that we're doing with, you know,
- 1:12Top employers. Everything is about continuous
- 1:16Improvement. Everything is about momentum.
- 1:21Everything is about fine-tuning. And I think that's an element
- 1:25that a lot of organizations missed the Mark 1.
- 1:28So let's dive deeper first thing.
- 1:30I think that a lot of organizations don't think about
- 1:34is there should be significant amount of energy resources time
- 1:41thought expectations policies values.
- 1:48Deliverables. And core focuses around
- 1:51decision-making that all are based around tweaking and
- 1:55adjusting every single element of your organization period that
- 2:00impacts your people. I'll go down the list of the
- 2:03now. I respect the companies that
- 2:06every single year audit, their compensation model models and
- 2:11policies and Frameworks. With our measuring and they're
- 2:16in there. There are justing and making
- 2:18sure things are Equitable every year.
- 2:22And they're pushing the limits, you understand how their
- 2:25competitors are doing? They're pushing the limits to
- 2:28understand how happy their people are today.
- 2:33Around certain things around compensation.
- 2:36They're challenging themselves who think outside the box and
- 2:39even get more creative based off of employee feedback.
- 2:42It's an expectation. It's built into the budget.
- 2:46I love companies that literally build culture Improvement.
- 2:50Best practices technology initiatives into the literal
- 2:55budget. That's how you know, it's real.
- 2:59When you're actually putting your money, where your mouth is
- 3:01your money, where your energy is, that's how you know, it's
- 3:04true. A lot of companies say, a lot.
- 3:09But when get do a lot and invest in a diverse shoe, when you do a
- 3:13lot and you vest and invest in the Beyond brand, when you do a
- 3:17lot and you invest in everything, we could do a lot
- 3:21and you invest in it and you're not just talking, it's impactful
- 3:25and you continuously make tweaks.
- 3:28I love companies that consistently look at the
- 3:30feedback in the data from their employees around how their
- 3:33leadership and their managers are doing the expectation that
- 3:37the hold their managers to The standards.
- 3:43Continuous Improvement. Means, looking at every single
- 3:46piece of your organization and making changes whether that's
- 3:49quarterly. Whether whether that's whether
- 3:54that's twice a year, whether that's once a year, whether its
- 3:57monthly but you make changes and you put your money where your
- 3:59mouth is. You invest for the future, you
- 4:04think strategically, you're thoughtful, you utilize
- 4:07employees, First Data, and you really do a good job to really
- 4:11care about your people. Cultivating.
- 4:13A culture of continuous Improvement.
- 4:15Looks like that. It looks like the CEO.
- 4:22It looks like the board. It looks like the CFO we're all
- 4:25in the same page. Our number-one responsibility
- 4:29here. As you think about our product
- 4:30road maps as we think about our services as something about our
- 4:33bottom line, as we think about our PR, as we think about our
- 4:36marketing, as we think about our product, as we think, about
- 4:39every single phase of this company, we're going to think
- 4:42about it from an employee's. First lens, we're going to think
- 4:45about it from a continuous movement on.
- 4:49Not only a Improvement of culture.
- 4:52But an improvement of humanity. And it's something a lot of
- 4:58people don't think about. a lot of companies don't think about
- 5:05And so for me, I'll end up this way.
- 5:08Creating a culture of continuous Improvement should be the
- 5:12literal literal religion. The foundation.
- 5:19Of the company managers and leaders that do not want to keep
- 5:24that a part of who they are. And, I mean, that throughout the
- 5:27culture, it doesn't just have to be on the people sector side of
- 5:31things, from a internal comms, or recruiting initiatives, or
- 5:34employer branding or, or, or deu.
- 5:37Not then have to be those things.
- 5:39It can be literally within the sales and Partnerships teams.
- 5:42It can be on the product team. Every single month, I need to be
- 5:45figuring out how to make better LinkedIn, copy every single
- 5:48month. I need to figure out how to
- 5:49improve my my partnership strategy, my channel partnership
- 5:52strategy, my pitch every single month, we need to figure out how
- 5:56to design better. Write, write better code, work,
- 6:01faster, work smarter together. Continuous Improvement is out of
- 6:06a culture, does not just exist on the employee experience, that
- 6:09it exists literally within the foundation in the core of the
- 6:12operations of the day-to-day. It's about being better.
- 6:20It's about doing better. All the time.
- 6:26No brakes. Consistently.
- 6:31It's what I believe in. That's what you should do.
- 6:37So as always, just a few thoughts, Just a few
- 6:42perspectives. We'll talk soon.
- 6:44We'll talk soon.
