- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: one of everyone's jammal sales.
- 0:01[SPEAKER_01]: I'm your host to the fantasy NFL today show.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_01]: I got me.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_01]: This is sports ethos for action.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_01]: I got my crusty co-host mini.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be supporting me.
- 0:09[SPEAKER_01]: And I got my main guy.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think warrant that we'll be talking about why receivers today.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_01]: See just dropped his white receiver ranking.
- 0:15[SPEAKER_01]: I think what's going on.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, how's it going?
- 0:17[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody happy to talk.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_00]: Why receivers?
- 0:19[SPEAKER_00]: Just happy to be here as always overall.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yep, I'm a little under the weather.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_01]: It's a long weekend.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_01]: So I think it's going to be carrying me fireman carrying me through this podcast.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_01]: But we should be good because it's wide receivers and it won't, you know, wide receivers are easy, right?
- 0:33[SPEAKER_00]: No, hopefully they're easy.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_00]: I would like to think so, but I mean, things can always just get complicated, especially with receivers moving, some crowded rooms, some underwhelming off ends as if some studs, like there's just a whole lot going on.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: So hopefully we can help you guys just kind of sort
- 0:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we're just talking on a pre-show.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_01]: It's like historically, I feel the elite super-star-wide receivers were the safe bet, right?
- 0:59[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe you take a second, third, you're just in Jefferson, sixth, seventh overall, you know you're pretty much getting a 17 game to lead production.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_01]: But it was the running backs where it's like, I really wanna take, you know, Jonathan Taylor, third overall, and then he plays, you know, 11 games in your seasons a bus.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_01]: But for some reason, it's flipped last two years.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_01]: I've pretty much every superstar running back State Healthy, CMC exception two years ago.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_01]: And these wider seabers are going down like crazy.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_01]: Even Justin Jefferson, Miss Simon, what two years ago, well, a hamstring, maybe three, but last year, Malik neighbors went down.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_01]: CD Lamb Miss Games helped me out here.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_01]: The T-Higgins got hurt again.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I was little and I was thinking.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, Tampa.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_01]: I met the book of that hurt.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_01]: My Kevin's got her crisp oven got hurt.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: Like, yeah, Tampa was a mess.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: J.L.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_00]: McDonald and Mr. First App is easing a little kind of just another additional guy, but Jordan Addison I think missed some time too.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: Dispension out of the air.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: You'll oh sure, yeah, but like it's, yeah, it really does almost seem like
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: We've kind of flipped and even to your point where, you know, we would always draft, you know, we'd feel like the wide receivers, we were safe to draft.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_00]: I was thinking of the year I think it was in Tonya Brown, who Leo Jones and Otto Beckham were like the top three picks, like you were trusting those guys.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: And for the most part, what I'll maybe depending on the season, like they stood out for like in Tonya Brown, stood out for you.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: Of Leo Jones stood out for you.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't crack just turn the week, but he went out and dominated on Sundays.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: And now, you know, then now we take, I use the right Mac, like you said, and now here we are.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's time to make sense of something.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: So with the injuries, it's, unless there's an injury like right now, or like you're still recovering from an injury, I try not to think about that stuff a little.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I try not to overthink that because we could just never truly predict it.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, my thing is I like to go what have you done the last two seasons right if you missed time in both seasons I would have not you if you played you know for you know like CD lamb right played I think what 14 games something last year two years ago I think he made me miss one or two.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_01]: It's only a slight knock right he's still not a leader lead But if it's like Jason CD lamb Jason ever missed his time.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'll take I'll take Jason over lamb like you know Because it's at the upper levels right you're just nitpicking
- 3:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I actually need pick.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: I have them back to back.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and perfect.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, there I go.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_01]: So with the wider severs, what are you?
- 3:17[SPEAKER_01]: Are you, what are you ranking them the elites based on?
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: Are you going ceiling, floor, the offense?
- 3:25[SPEAKER_01]: Like, what are your top three kind of determining factors?
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: So for me, it's obviously the talent has to be there.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_00]: The offensive environment has to be there, the role, which I guess kind of ties in with all of that.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: And then honestly, the consistency and like the history, like have you been at the top before?
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: Like all of those things, because when you're at the top, you're like, like we talked about Chase and the glam.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: Surprise, surprise.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: I have a remarks, Jason Book and Ikuah, one and two respectively.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: We're splitting hairs, right?
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's either one, like I'm fine with tapping and that is the number one over all guy.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: For them, just again, just to catch out of the bag.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I don't think it's a prize that they're at the top.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: I have it tomorrow at number one, because the bangles pass the ball more than the ram to do.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: The bangles pass the ball last year, like a 64% clip.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_00]: While the ram typically sit at like a 55% clip.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: And so that matters to me when we're splitting hairs.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Ram is a really high last year, I agree with you.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_00]: Generally speaking for the rams, like you last year might have been and they may have been a little bit higher.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: But I am large under me today, like they passed them all.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: It's their past runs plus or 55, 45.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_00]: And the bangles under Taylor, they throw the ball pretty much 60 plus per cent of the time.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, 43, 57.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_01]: But even for me, I think Chase is clear to one because Count, Chase and Gouka, usage, probably, boom, boom, boom, boom, the right there.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_01]: I think five day follows off.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_01]: So that's make more Gouka.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but schedule.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_01]: Fangles got the second easy schedule and I think the ramp will pivot to a more run heavy, uh, right with Stafford aging, demonic, and this amazing defense, right?
- 5:03[SPEAKER_01]: They got miles Garrett.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_01]: They got the two corners from Kansas City ran fine of the best defense in the league.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_01]: So they're going to be up, you know, probably 21 seven in the second half run it and it just be run in the ball.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: especially with Blake Corom kind of stepping out of secondhand black proving he belongs the NFL and imagine I feel like we have We heard a little rumbleings of this one when the Rams traitors from miles Garrett, but I didn't fair.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_00]: Donald does come out of retirement and just like Like you're right like they might second half of game the entire season.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: They may just be running out
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and also, I mean, I guess, for help, you know, Barrow Stafford, you could maybe argue that the Stafford has been healthier.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_01]: But like last two, they were talking about putting them on the injured reserve to start the season.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_01]: He's 38 coming off the best season as life.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he had 46 touchdowns last year.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_01]: I think he has like, six, one of your touchdowns is about that.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_01]: I, like, it's, you're giving me odds on who those more touchdowns, Barrow or Stafford?
- 5:57[SPEAKER_01]: Like, Barrow.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, but bro would have to be like minus 200, I think, right?
- 6:02[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I think it's going to be, you know, I think bro's from I for 46 and Safer's going to throw for like 20 to 32.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_01]: So for me, taste no, no brain out.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_01]: Like, but Pukka is also insane.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know,
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and spitting hairs, I could very much see why somebody would have Puka as number one, like I also get that argument, like that's charming based and incredible offense.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: Like, a statford is very clearly so capable of competing at an MVP level.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_00]: It's one of the MVP last year.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: Like, Kuka is the center of that offense.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: So I get it against putting hairs, but I recently, to both agree, maybe to varying levels.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: That tomorrow, Chase is the water receiver one this year.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_01]: So, and then you've got your Ammanra in the Zomker area and even as well, since we talked a lot about Ammanra, we love Ammanra.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_01]: I agree with you, but I think just the way I like to draft that, I might take Ammanra over Puka, just safer.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_01]: I know Detroit, they got the easiest schedule, and they're probably gonna run more, but I know Ammanra has given me 1210 touchdowns, right?
- 7:01[SPEAKER_00]: And that's the thing where, you know, I know, I'm going to maybe miss his portions of games, but I'm going to buy a large as available, and Pooka has historically missed some time.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_00]: So like, yeah, it's, I understand that as well.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you know, you want to take almond ride.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: I probably wouldn't, but like, I certainly see, I certainly see that, but yeah, I'm going to run just as early as the tier of his own three stray wadversy for three seasons.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: uh the only receiver with like 10 bucks out of bounds 12 hundred yards and on your 15 targets the past three seasons um each of the past three seasons that is so just very clearly I think in a tier of his own may not have the ceiling as for why receiver one overall like something guys in the tier below but there's something to be said about knowing that you are going to get an elite asset and not having that variance.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I just remember he remember last year he had the bad ankle injury on the thing that said day, and then maybe it was Thanksgiving, it was like Thursday versus the cowboys, and there's like no candy place.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_01]: He played it and had a great game, right?
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there was no fall off.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_00]: So it's, yeah, there there's something to be said about that consistency, even if it doesn't have that true wide receiver one ceiling, like wide receiver three in the first round, I will, if I'm guaranteed that I'm going to take it, ten out of ten times.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because I'll fill up my draft later on.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so another, I won't let's go chase that, right?
- 8:19[SPEAKER_01]: So this end was my guy last year.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_01]: I got you on to him kind of, what am we going to do in our pods?
- 8:23[SPEAKER_01]: Because I was so high on him, you know, not that it was, you know, galaxy brain thinking, but, right.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_01]: You know, but he led the lead lead 36% target share, right?
- 8:32[SPEAKER_01]: That's not really sustainable.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_00]: I looked back the last few years.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_01]: I think the high somebody had was it was like 32.5 or something very free point, something.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_01]: So a dramatically high, you know, they didn't really go get another wide receiver of those Corey Horton's pretty good, Cooper Cup kind of washed, but also she's, she kind of saw it.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_01]: People like G'day Barnard, they're a credit, they were run heavy team.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_01]: I just think if that target share goes to 30, which is still elite and could lead to lead to lead.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: So, I think he was, he was a wide receiver two last years, I think, Boocker, I ended up as the Wiosie for one.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'd fun to go pass the points for game and, or yeah, drill.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: I currently have Jason as a wide receiver four, so I don't know if it's a fall off, it's going to be that big, because he's still going to be, like he's still, like, very clearly the best player on that offense.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_00]: So he's going to be the focal point.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to get 10 plus targets to gain him.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: So it'll be there, it's especially helpful in PPR leagues.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: But I just don't know that he's going to repeat what he did last year, especially losing Clinkoo, Bianco, really was just a terrific bike hauler.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: New exactly the right buttons to push when to do what at the right time.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: And so they're going to be learning any offense as well.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: And so it's just I think he's still going to be great, but just tough to project him as as a tough to option again.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and it's like my favorite thing, one is all you supoble with with a camera, he said, like, never chase that career year, right?
- 9:56[SPEAKER_01]: I call it taste in the ghost now.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_01]: I made a mountain and it's a lot of a tip.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_01]: But if you're just, you guys had the best season of its career, it's like it never, never replicates, right?
- 10:08[SPEAKER_01]: You felt really good season, right?
- 10:09[SPEAKER_01]: Tomorrow chase two seasons ago, right?
- 10:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, like 20 touchdowns, it was crazy, right?
- 10:14[SPEAKER_01]: Last season, you know, stuff that stuff goes wrong, right?
- 10:17[SPEAKER_01]: You just never get that back-to-back-grade season.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_01]: That's one of the higher-payment pride.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_01]: Barclay two years ago, right?
- 10:22[SPEAKER_01]: First year, Billy, crazy season last year.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_01]: You couldn't break a tackle to save his life, right?
- 10:26[SPEAKER_01]: So just Jason said, I don't even want to call it an L-lire, but this is everything worked right, crazy, awesome, and same season.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_01]: Based on this crazy usage, and so it's just he's just not something I'm dropping with season.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but then you also get the guys like crook while we're, you know, he did it his rookie season.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: It was like, wow, like, it's the, and then he did it again.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: All in a bird game basis, and everybody's got some injuries.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like, a bird game basis here, like he did it again.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: And the last year, he just did it, like, something like that, that hate rate is hit rate, probably small, as far as guys that are just going to keep doing that, that I level that's why, you know, the top two years of top two year.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_00]: So I understand that, but I guess you just got to pick your spots and if you really believe in the guy like that's when you go and on them on that on that career year and When he pays off with some of the things they said, I just don't know.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think I agree with you.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: I don't Think, well, pay a sentence and you're going to repeat that.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_00]: You still could be a top five or six wide receiver.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_00]: I think, but Repeating that Elite elite season from last year is just going to be really difficult to do.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_01]: I love it's so love them, but yeah, and then okay, let's, I guess we got a time to move a little quicker here because we would just say, I hang them on the cup guys, but I do, there it is really important, right?
- 11:35[SPEAKER_01]: Because you got that first round, so quick, they just, Justin Jefferson, like what do we do?
- 11:39[SPEAKER_01]: I think he is a wide receiver 22 last season.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_01]: You couldn't even play him late in the season.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_01]: like he was so bad, right?
- 11:47[SPEAKER_01]: He was getting like three for 40, but played the whole season.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_01]: Now maybe you get, you know, you get from the worst he'll be in the league, the Kyla Murray, who I'm out of a fan of, I just, what are you doing with Jefferson?
- 11:56[SPEAKER_01]: Because he's no longer to be broke, but he is the most out-of-wider-severant football.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_00]: and the talent is why I still have him in that tier tier 3, the fourth, why does she was fourth through six with J.S.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_00]: and C.D.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_00]: Lamb and then Justin Jefferson.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_00]: He's third for a reason.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_00]: I'm I'm just nervous about the offensive environment.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_00]: I like Kevin McConnell and I like the the scheme and and and all of that stuff, but quarterback situation is just ugly and I mean,
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: Conmer was able to support the Andre Hopkins couple seasons and Arizona, so he can support a guy and so that's another reason why I kind of kept Justin Jefferson in that top six range.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_00]: I'm more so downgraded the other weapons in Minnesota because the quarterbacks and tried to just think like luck before or before last season, right, before Jason McCarthy.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_00]: Justin Jefferson was quarterback proof.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_00]: He has a wide receiver one season.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_00]: He has multiple top five seasons like.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: He is that dude, and so I really tried to keep that in perspective, and I'm just kind of back to the wins one.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_00]: And maybe I'm wrong, and maybe as we get some notes growing the off season, you know, obviously we may adjust, and you know, obviously as a season goes on, once we enter the enter this season, and we have the sample size, and we see how things are playing out, we need to be fluid, and just like if the Vikings are struggling, just be good to be adjust, and Jefferson is the
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: doesn't mean that in October second, Justin Jefferson needs to remain inside of the top, if that's not the case.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: And so that's kind of just how I'm looking at it from a Justin Jefferson perspective.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, okay, so no, because I agree you have to rank him, you know, where you put them.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_01]: But it's like when you do rankings, it's just good that guys there doesn't mean you take them.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_01]: Like we will you draft us in Jefferson?
- 13:56[SPEAKER_01]: You got 8th and I pick, well, Team League called OPPR.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_01]: Like, are you going to pull the trigger or play just a little safe?
- 14:04[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, if lamb falls there or even below, like, great, great London, right?
- 14:09[SPEAKER_01]: Like, if Drake London or Justin Jefferson, like, I don't know what I'm doing there.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_00]: I'm probably still going to take Justin Jefferson there's yeah he just never says at the end of the tear so I would more so be looking at another position.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_00]: Like, say, you know, teams cook or Justin Jefferson.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that's my lead, my lean James cook because teams cook.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yet, as like 15 tough shots of basketball season, he led the lead in rushing last year.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_00]: He was top five, well, but like that, that's kind of like, I'm taking Justin Jefferson as the wide receiver six.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I'm taking, um, the top five above and obviously.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_00]: So if I'm passing on him late in the first, it's going to be four or one.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, okay.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, the only line of quote last thing of deficit.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_01]: I just watch a lot of Minnesota because I feel like I like betting his Jeff.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_01]: I like betting Jeff some crops is like my favorite bet because it could be 80 and a half and he he too, you know, it can be, you know, go two catches go over right.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_01]: Don't look it.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_01]: But he had two touchdowns last year.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_01]: I just watched so much Minnesota.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_01]: He can't score in the red zone, but Chris, he's so good.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_01]: He has double teamed every time.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_01]: So it's just weird thing where it's like, if he's done a score, it's got to be him 40 or that 40 or so, which he can.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_01]: Whereas I feel like, I don't know, it's not a route thing or a ability to, it's just he gets to blank in it.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_01]: So I just worry that his touchdown ability is a, is a little compromised because of how healthy it is.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_00]: It's like the Julio Jones, the fact that I think that one year or three, and I forgot what year I've thought of my head, the other one year or just wasn't score touchdowns because it's just so dominant that yeah, it seems bracketing like you do a gunner on special teams when you're inside the five yard line and they made you in a positive order of them.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Justin Jefferson faces them.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's just it's tough.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, but like you said, Justin Jefferson could take one of the house for anywhere.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_00]: So it, you just been on the talent and and be fluid throughout the season.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I think it was a Calvin Ridley for a year.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like 10 touchdowns, but like he wasn't any good.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he just be open.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's what happens when you are a talent like Julia Jones and Justin Jefferson.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so let's keep going.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_01]: So then we got another this other tier.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, like, Uber talented players, all players that could almost, maybe not be the White Receiver one, like Chris Alavi was a White Receiver six, Nico Collins was kind of one of my must draft players, he had one of the, what was Nico last year?
- 16:33[SPEAKER_01]: He had, like, one of the most frustrating seasons of all time that actually wasn't that bad, why did receiver nine, right?
- 16:40[SPEAKER_00]: Trake London's finished.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think in the top five a couple of times George Peckins during the stretch that C. Lame was hurt.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_00]: What's the wide receiver too?
- 16:48[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, this is and I just love to hit a lot.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_00]: I made you a brown is just Got to be that dude.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_00]: I think in the wing.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_00]: So this is my short list.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_00]: Now that we've named them all and look at and a very assortors This is my short list of the rest of the guy that I think truly do have top five potential
- 17:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's it's so tough because it's like I kind of like all these wider seabers and it put
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: How why is there probably all pretty much the same, right?
- 17:15[SPEAKER_01]: I'd say maybe you've been nitpicked a little bit, but so I guess you go with situation, right, the QB.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_01]: Like Tyler Chuck might be the worst QB on that group, but you struggle for like 260 yards.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_01]: That's the past where it's office with Kalimore.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_01]: They don't have, you know, that many weapons, right?
- 17:30[SPEAKER_01]: If you told me Chris a lobby with playing 17 games, are you taking him over anyone in this fear?
- 17:37[SPEAKER_00]: No, and that's why I have from rank number one in this tier.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_00]: And so obviously the injuries for him are risk.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_00]: I think he proved last year that he can remain relatively healthy.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, he just has that talent.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_00]: I think he has the golf answer to the Ironman with talent more.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just going to, I'm just going to believe in Tyler Shot.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_00]: Kelly Moore does, Kelly Moore made it work with him last year.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_00]: Drafted him in the second round.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_00]: So I think a lot of people surprises.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_00]: He could be three off the board.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_00]: I'm who's going to ride it.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just going to ride the train.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to ride the talent.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_00]: Chris O'Lave is, he's my wife received for seven.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely, can finish at the top.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and again, it's about what how much where your risk profile is.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I'm probably wouldn't take a lot of a because I got burned by him two years ago.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_01]: And he screwed me.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_01]: And I just, I'll take a little bit safer.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure who, like, I mean, Nico's on my kind of my guy.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_01]: I would probably take seconds.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_01]: This is out.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I would take seconds, but.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's just you'll look at situation, right?
- 18:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, okay, you want to team with a bad defense because you want them to be throwing, right?
- 18:38[SPEAKER_01]: You want to team with a fast first mentality, you want team with a good QB, right?
- 18:41[SPEAKER_01]: Whereas, like, so Houston, I love Niko, but they have a great defense.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_01]: So they may not be throwing late, right?
- 18:47[SPEAKER_01]: They're offensive systems, not that great.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_01]: See, they stroud is proved to be, I don't want your work to be, you know, wonder, right?
- 18:54[SPEAKER_01]: We're looking at all the offenses kind of in these fears, right, they Houston ones, probably the one
- 19:02[SPEAKER_00]: You detrust it any less than you trust Atlanta.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_00]: So just for clarity of the order I have on my sixth, it's Chris Alave, Drake London, AJ Brown.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_00]: George Peck-N, who is the first water receiver to you on the board.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_00]: Nico Collins, and then I did sneak jail a lot of the end of this, end of the board.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_00]: We use things, Houston's offensive environment is worse than Atlanta's.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_00]: I guess it's probably the other one that's, they don't have a settle quarterback,
- 19:32[SPEAKER_01]: they got two guys who can do it and it's not often made a team environment because the Houston defense is so good.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_01]: I think the Houston probably caught for a deep end where it's Atlanta.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_01]: There it's secondary was amazing last year for some reason in terms of limiting passing yards, but I don't really trust
- 19:48[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that's going to be replicable.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_01]: I always forget which who they brought in, because that Robinson, I think, went to Tampa, but I forget if they brought in the, they got from the Niners or, like, a trauma phase 3.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_01]: But I just, I trust the way they use Drake London, right?
- 20:02[SPEAKER_01]: Crazy high-cargert chair.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_01]: There are other wide receiver too.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_01]: We'll definitely have Brian to rookie.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_01]: Why do you like, right?
- 20:08[SPEAKER_01]: Pits doesn't do a lot.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_01]: But really, you know everything's getting funneled through fish on and great.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_01]: So like that, I just have complete faith and trust it.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, okay, I mean, I do have Drake London ranked higher than Nico Collins, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I think a little higher on the Texans by as a whole than the rest of, I think the fantasy world, but the Houston offense is actually really crowded as well with Ted and Haygames.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_00]: Tank down the well, and then they have two very capable Ryan back.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_00]: So another reason why I do you have Drickland in a couple spots higher is he's like he is like one of three Elite players a lot of fans will like that's it
- 20:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I think he had a three four-week stretch where he was like in the four weeks.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_01]: He was a wide receiver, one wide receiver, two, I just, I like the way they funneled in the ball.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just, I would be great guy again.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_01]: I was big, you kind of got me on at Lannel last year.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_01]: And then I started to leave Dr. gonna Kool-Aid and then he kind of see, he's screwed you.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_01]: He played the few things, but regardless, okay.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_01]: So, well, quickly, let's do the stand-alone model.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_01]: Because you're higher on him than me.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of get it because Denver, you think they'd be a more of a run-first team with that great O line too, running back.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_01]: But they were, I think, their top eight-top seven-paths that we've been with with Scott for me, with the stats.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_01]: They bring in Jalen Waddle.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_01]: The Y-2-C-1, best QD they've ever had, potentially.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_01]: What's the argument, though, that he's been a chance to truly break out, which is probably double due to touchdown 12-1400 yards.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think he's going to be the focal point of the offense.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_00]: He is now the best player on the offense.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_00]: Colin Sighton is good.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_00]: He's a tough star machine.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's had doubled in his house since the past couple of years, but he's on the wrong side of 30 now.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_00]: Troy, I didn't know that.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know he's not.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's 30.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_00]: I'm pretty sure I looked up.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_00]: Let me double check before completely miss.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there he's starting.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he'll be 31 in the middle of this season.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_00]: So he's getting older.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_00]: He was never the thing dominant like Y receiver one for.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_00]: So he's a very consistent guy.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_00]: He used to have trouble getting touchdowns.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_00]: That's kind of corrected, but Trump ain't traded a first round pick to go out and get in jail and model.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_00]: He's always had an elite wide receiver in his offense with a little Marcus Colston.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_00]: We had the Mike Thomas years.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he loves us too.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_00]: I just think that the sky is the limit for J. LaLodel.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_00]: The environment's there.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_00]: There are defense.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_00]: I know it would be pretty good, but the offense isn't going to be able to score points.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_00]: They don't have a true talent that can compare with J. LaLodel.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_00]: and Sean Payton knows that.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_00]: And that's why Sean Payton made it a point to go out and get him, because where they were in the draft, like this draft class wasn't the strongest, like he knew he wasn't going to get a caliber weapon to put them over the top, because they there's a real contender.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_00]: They were a bonus injury away from potentially competing in the Super Bowl, right?
- 23:06[SPEAKER_00]: Sean Payton recognizes that.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that he thinks that you're on a lot of old
- 23:15[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, yeah.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I get all the arguments.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_01]: I was kind of like water.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_01]: I just worry because there are so many weapons on Denver, right?
- 23:22[SPEAKER_01]: Like I was talking about this with Brian on last week.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_01]: Do you know how I guess how many targets strike Franklin had last year?
- 23:28[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he just get over under.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, which is crazy to me, right?
- 23:31[SPEAKER_01]: It says, are you guys and then he's still the Marvin Mims?
- 23:34[SPEAKER_01]: They said, but they like Patrick Brian.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_01]: It seemed like a lot of guys.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure if Bonyx is kind of that.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_01]: single target first read kind of guy.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_01]: We've haven't seen it up and his deep ball pass has been inconsistent.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_01]: He was good as rookie with a very good last year.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just that you could be drafting water and he's got the worst QB in terms of like getting him the ball of that group of the entire kind of tear.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_01]: That's just my work.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_00]: No, yeah, and he's at the bottom of the tier, and I, and we were talking kind of, I think Prisho, while I was here and I was like, I asked you if it was crazy to sneak him in here and you said a little bit.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_00]: And so I kind of recognize that, but you know, sometimes when doing rankings, it's about projection and it's just about having a conviction.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_00]: And for me, I just didn't jail him a lot.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_00]: I just think he's going to be that dude this year that is going to jump around or two and maybe be the next year.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, not great.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_01]: Like, good crazy, right?
- 24:29[SPEAKER_01]: Cause like, as a rookie, I think he broke the rookie record for reception at the time he did.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he was a top, he was a top time pick, too.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_00]: Like, let's not forget that.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_00]: Like, if he is, he was an Uber talented prospect.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_00]: And he is, I mean, he's unfortunately, maybe not have the best quarterback offensive environment, type deals in his career.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_00]: But now I think.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_00]: And so I just, I mean, I'm all in on jail, a lot of
- 24:54[SPEAKER_01]: I like him getting a cool convinced kind of running to me a little bit of like kind of AJ Brown, right?
- 25:00[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone like you don't tend to see everyone like him, but then contain Hellsuck, they kind of forgot about him because traded Billy's foome, right, full smash show, and then now get traded again in fat.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_01]: We should talk a bit of AJ Brown, but we gotta keep going.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so the next tier is kind of on me my favorite tier, because it's got my guy, but just it's the upside, upside,
- 25:21[SPEAKER_01]: Right, you put lad, lad above my, my guy at Macca, but I get it, right?
- 25:26[SPEAKER_01]: It's not as much of a lad as there's much of the charger, right?
- 25:29[SPEAKER_00]: Correct.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_00]: For me, it's, it's Mike McDaniel.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_00]: He's, he has an incredible, you know, obviously things didn't work out in Miami, his end of coach.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_00]: Finally, not the greatest head coach, but he is a terrific way caller and schematics and knowing, knowing ball, he's one of the, he's one of the
- 25:50[SPEAKER_00]: And as of now, like, Lad Maconkey is the one.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_00]: He is the guy that should be getting the volume.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we have Crane Johnson, who is more of a field stretcher, train errors, probably fits that same vein.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_00]: So, Lad Maconkey's in the get, I think, just a ton of volume.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_00]: And Mike McDonald is just going to scheme him open.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_00]: And
- 26:11[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just, I'm just, I'm just really high on the chargers, especially with Justin Justin Herbert.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_00]: I think Mike may date all locks in our level for him, so we know he's a top-vite talent.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_00]: He just also, he just hasn't, for whatever reason the chargers is having been able to surround him with the right pieces, but this, this feels like it's it.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so guys, just if you're enjoying this, give us a little thumbs up, the likes, subscribe to YouTube channel, that'd be great, right?
- 26:37[SPEAKER_01]: We just recently got the, or just fantasy football drop guide.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_01]: You can find Anthony's, you know, ranking their shortly, plus he's doing a little but the best ball stop, all right, so quick little promo piece for you.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_01]: So the old sitting with Herbert would just in Herbert are we getting right it's first two seasons he was crazy Yet when I think every five let's not shout out to each of them and then he's gone on this dip We think it's like this great Roman dip and he really is who he's capable of or is this weird thing that's happened?
- 27:02[SPEAKER_01]: We're like guys peak early like time of homes kind of peak early gosh out and they've changed the play calling But he's guys had to have these crazy numbers early in their career and then they plateau to like 28 to 30 faster gotcha
- 27:16[SPEAKER_00]: I'm willing to bet for Justin Herbert, it was just the Greg Roman, the fact Greg Roman loves to run the ball.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_00]: We all know that he had, this is going to be the best offensive coordinator about his had and his career so far.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, let's talk to my guy.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'm happy to have a book up.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_01]: He is, I am all in on him.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_01]: I've fed everything.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_01]: I think he could be, honestly, I think he could be the one who see Re1 in the season.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_01]: I was gonna say about my Jason last year.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's going crazy.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_01]: I think we got a pass for his offense.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_01]: We got a Baker Mayfield pissed off, contract year.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my God.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_01]: When I saw that news, I just relayed everything back to the book.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_01]: I was like,
- 27:54[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go, right?
- 27:55[SPEAKER_01]: Baker 41 touchdowns two years ago.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_01]: Mike Evans gone, Chris Godwin, watched Jail Smith Film Cating and stay healthy.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_01]: It could be, it could be a JSN 32% target chair, 1500 year 12 touchdown season.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_01]: I just, I get, you have to put, you can't put them too high.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_01]: I probably kind of like where you put them.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_01]: I would have snuck them into the next beer, but because, you know, I'm, you know, degenerated.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_01]: But,
- 28:19[SPEAKER_01]: Talk to me.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_01]: Do you have any concerns about him?
- 28:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's rolling the offense.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't get hurt his first season of the hamstring.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_01]: Like, what are you, what are you potential to do?
- 28:27[SPEAKER_00]: And so my thought just quickly is that you probably would have put, just that I think really something, you probably would have felt like a book and model.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_00]: If yeah, yeah, he's that bad bite feels about right for you.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_01]: I can't tell you.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_00]: Putty Lover Nico, like, that's his, like, you know, that's by so I love me to make Mackayabuka.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think my biggest concern with him if you even want to call a doc because I know my cafe isn't there anymore.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_00]: But the second half this season, he just really fell off with all this, he.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have a stats in front of me, but I know in the first six or so weeks, he was like a top 10.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of him, a lot of him, a lot of him leaks, isn't it?
- 29:05[SPEAKER_01]: But just before he told me he had the hamstring strength.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_00]: It was longer than the season that he was that effective.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_00]: I thought I don't know if it was for six weeks or so, because I think kind of once Chris Godwin came back into the fold, he started to decline it in either way.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_00]: By the end of the season, he was really, you couldn't start, by the end of the house.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_01]: And so that week 10, he had 13 targets, six reception, 115 yards in the touchdown.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_01]: That's what we tend to this.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_00]: All right, all right, so week 10.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_00]: But so that's kind of my, I think biggest concern with him, although he very well could could end up jumping into the next year, like you said, I do love the talent.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_00]: And his soft baker may feel just excellent for fantasy.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_00]: We all love that you're about.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, he's a guy that can, he's another guy that can jump up around or two.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_00]: in an ADP come next season.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_01]: Three rounds.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_01]: He is my must draft, do not leave home without him player to see a guy just because bringing into that Robinson from Atlanta, we just saw what he did as LC there, right?
- 30:10[SPEAKER_01]: High-precording your start, right?
- 30:12[SPEAKER_01]: It was everything.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_01]: So I think of my try and maybe run a bit more, but they didn't really carry the running backs last year, leaving home like you're talking to the running backs.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_01]: So I guess that Robinson will because he'd like be John Luddling receiving yards, but it's just as if he can say healthy, Baker Gross for 35 pet staff.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_01]: I know Ebook is going to blow the doors off.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_01]: I'll fantasy the click this year.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_01]: So it's just, I can't find any negative things.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_01]: The only thing is the hamstring, if it's a recurring thing.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_01]: But also, yeah, last year he faded because he had the hamstring, but Baker was also hurt.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_01]: That entire offer is kind of fell off.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, let's keep going.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_01]: So, okay, let's take two guys in and let's just hear that you want to talk about.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_01]: We're not talking about neighbors.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_01]: If you want to go, we're not talking neighbors.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_00]: It was looking so key smooth that I'm ready to move up.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_00]: I'll just leave it with your neighbors.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to do tat, zay.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_00]: I want to go to Fonte Adams if I'm being completely honest with it.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_00]: They didn't do anything to add to the receiver room.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of people expect them to drop a Kylam in there at 13.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_00]: They ended up going with, I didn't be quarterback in the future.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_00]: And Ty Simpson, I think to Fonte Adams is a very real chance to double down as the NFL's received me, so I shall later this year.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_00]: He has a very clear red zone rule like that's that's where he makes his money is in the red zone with this all facts.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_00]: And again, nothing is particularly changed.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_00]: As far as them, I mean, I know, like corn may have a little more of a role than he did, at least in the beginning of last season,
- 31:55[SPEAKER_00]: I don't get it, I don't understand.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_00]: You just hate gold.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_00]: You hate the olds and I get it.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_01]: I proven it is a hard line.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_01]: He's defied last year fine.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_01]: But look, my favorite is Julio Jones.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_01]: You're talking about him earlier.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_01]: One of the best wide receivers ever, right?
- 32:10[SPEAKER_01]: He's 31.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_01]: Boom, he's the wide receiver three as his massive season.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_01]: Turns 32, not these like the wide receiver 66.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_01]: It happens to everyone, and then there are markers, right?
- 32:20[SPEAKER_01]: I get it, Demont had this outlier season.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_01]: He'd let the league in red zone target.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_01]: He had like 61 year touchdown.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_01]: Look at his receiving yards.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_01]: He was in what, eight, like 860s under 1000 yards.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_01]: He can't get this separation.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_01]: He also got hurt late in the season.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_01]: He's not going to stay healthy.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_01]: He's not going to be effective.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_01]: They're not going to pass for these one year touchdowns.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_01]: They were just trying to get saffered, the record.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to run it in the season.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_01]: I don't, I think Demont is going to have, would it, how many touchdowns did you have last year?
- 32:45[SPEAKER_01]: 14 take and take the one off.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_01]: He's gonna have four touchdown You know, I think you still not draft the Vante Adams.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_01]: I beg I beg you people.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_00]: I beg you I think you I didn't want to add them again ten plus he's he's still that dude I'm gonna ride I'm gonna ride it so we'll fall off.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_00]: That's fine.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_00]: They're off.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry to my day Yeah, I used to I did love you.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, okay.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's in the to get one more guy in this here
- 33:12[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see, Devontos Smith is interesting to me.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_00]: I don't really know where to rank, right?
- 33:21[SPEAKER_00]: He's the clear one now in Philly, and I completely understand that, and that's a good role to have, because they hyper-target their one or two, they're very condensed offense.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_00]: But I just don't know.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it feels like they, and I knew they changed off as an coordinator.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_00]: They just feel very under like, from a passing perspective.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_00]: Jalen Hertz runs the ball and he's a powerful ton.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_00]: Say it won't barcally, I think he's going to have a bounce back season.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_00]: And so maybe it's just, it just feels ugly.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_00]: I do have him.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_00]: Again, he's my wider receiver 15.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like that's fine.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_00]: He's just not the most comfortable click for me, personally.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's tough, because some clients, there's this a broader dissidence, I guess, between what we think happen and what actually happened.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like everyone and I have, we all had it with Philly.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, oh, when they won't pass the ball, yeah, Dale hurts runs too much, the often step in the mud.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_01]: And then you go with the numbers, Dale worked on the least like rushing air to his career through the most passing question of those career.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_01]: Um, it just, it was just weird thing that happened that he was actually just so
- 34:35[SPEAKER_01]: that the quantity was there for the quality was great, right?
- 34:37[SPEAKER_01]: I think they led the league in turnover.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_01]: So he's not turning the ball over, but when he does throw it, there's a lot of them are touchdowns.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_01]: Unfortunately, they were going to Dallas, got it, who has like 11, which is like almost more than yet in his career.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_01]: But, yes, they hypercargeted their guys, which is good.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_01]: So Devante's going from the White and CB2, getting the promotion.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_01]: And even now, the White and CB2.tv and Wix on the Kyleman won't be as good as Devante Smith for the very good chance that Devante is able to thrive
- 35:05[SPEAKER_01]: So I really like the talent there, but I, yes, I don't the filly offensive is run first.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's like having the water see for one in kind of a thoughtful or Baltimore.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_01]: You know, they're going to run in the red zone.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_01]: You know, they like they kind of target the tight ends in the red zone.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_01]: It's like how many quality, you know, rows are you going to get?
- 35:22[SPEAKER_01]: So it's tough.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_01]: If Devante is that guy, maybe he just breaks through and has up 14, 1500-yard season.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_01]: But it's just every other circumstantial back there's against him, where he's like, right down, doesn't like to take chances.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_01]: The defense is going to be great, but run first.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_01]: So it's just he's fighting uphill.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I've 15 feels very fair.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_00]: I feel, for sure.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_00]: It probably, it's, thinking about it's probably like the fair is probably like the fair is ranking, I think that I feel on this list overall.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_00]: And so we can move to the next tier, not just kind of believe we're the point.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_00]: Anybody want to talk about it in tier five?
- 35:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's a plough win.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_01]: analysis and I start so early it's it's just it's sad because sometimes he'll I'll start with that hypothesis and then I'll get the heavens up kind of backing up and then it's a summer goes on I feel like I was either maybe getting confirmation bias or like looking for the support like I was like okay Burm was kind of a fluke he had like a good week one week three and then he had two good weeks to finish the season that's it I love the Chicago offense but Rome's been my guy and I love colt the lovelin but he is you might find that
- 36:28[SPEAKER_01]: So I was like, okay, maybe burden, you know, burden shouldn't be ranked that high.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_01]: But then it's like everything you are seeing out of half, it's been Johnson and then the burden free-purs and it's like, okay, maybe I got to flip this and be like, you know what, screw it?
- 36:42[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I love the offense.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_01]: So I got to love Luca Burton.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_00]: They, everything we're hearing out of camp and all the buzz on Twitter, they love themselves, some Luther birds and up there in Chicago.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_00]: And I love Luther birds and too.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's normally an archetype, I don't chase, and I probably have some content, whether it's articles or something.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_00]: tweets or some video of me saying that's not it's just not an art type that I chase.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_00]: It's like the Debo Samular type.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_00]: We have plenty of Debo and the next Debo Samular.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_00]: There's only one Debo Samular.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to chase it with Luther burden because I think he's in the perfect offensive scheme to make it happen with Ben Johnson.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_00]: And so I'm just I just think I think Luther Burns
- 37:32[SPEAKER_01]: No, for sure, for sure.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's possible, but he's got a higher bus potential than a lot of the other names.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_01]: He's never done it, right?
- 37:40[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you know, Mike Evans broke the records.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_01]: DJ Moore has had a top 5 wide receiver season.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_01]: Al Pierce's led to League and yards per reception.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_01]: He is a row, James Williams.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_01]: I think YBC for 12, based points per game.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_01]: Paramah果oma is top 5, two years ago.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_01]: Chrono Taterap before, you know.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_01]: And Luther Burton's got like what 450, like career career receiving yards?
- 38:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's a very small sample size of the production that we could potentially get from the Uber and I understand that, but this is the projection part.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_00]: I just, I'm gonna be, I wanna be in on Luther Burden earlier.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_00]: And not even though I think I haven't ranked tremendously higher than like anybody else does, but like I wanna be young early.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_00]: I just, I don't wanna miss out on Luther Burden.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_00]: If it burns me, it burns me.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_00]: Like that's fine.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't, I don't wanna miss out.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we can log even maybe where you have them in the care, but it's just like, okay, well, what do I think Caleb's gonna pass for this year 44 to 46 yards.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, how many touchdown 30 to 35.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, and then it's like Rome.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_01]: He's got this put issue.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_01]: That's the new normal.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever the hell that means.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_01]: Like if Roen gets hurt again, and it's just loop or burdened costs a lot of them.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Jesus Christ, loop or burden is going to go insane.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_01]: He's not having to be popping for 80 a game, and then with the touchdown, because we bears are going to be scoring 30 every game.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_01]: The defense isn't very good.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_01]: It's just like, oh, Chicago is like, Mark or Mark or Mark, every marker hit.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like, why wouldn't I just, you know, take a little fly or I'm burdened?
- 39:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this is maybe a little earlier than you would call a flyer, but yeah, I mean, again, this is just where you have conviction on a guy and you just you kind of just hang your ground and that's Luke are burdened for me, he's he's one of my guys for sure this year.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_00]: I do have room of dunes just for what it's worth ranked.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_00]: just a couple spots lower.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_00]: He's fit in this tier.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_00]: There's always a chance that the the footstuff is overblown.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a little worried about it.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_00]: He's another guy that after the first six, seven, eight weeks was really completely, with the injury, just completely unusable.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_00]: And just with the buzz with Luther Burden, I also really like Cole's
- 39:47[SPEAKER_00]: There's just some concern that Roma-Dune suddenly finds himself as the third option in the pasting game, but still a tremendous talent, it's top 10 offense.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_00]: If you look at Matt Arman's reception perception, he is a high-success rate on every route that he runs like the entire route tree, so he's super talented, so he's still definitely deserving of being in this tier for sure, but just a little more concerns I thank for me.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and as the art for reception was super high, it's just like I keep trying to look for set the back up my fading burden and everything I find is telling me the opposite.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm so I'm very close to just flipping.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_00]: You have to be clear.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_00]: You have to be fluid.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know for sure.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_01]: And then as I look at the rest of these guys, like Christian Watson, I know people are big and him up.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, he's never ever ever ever ever stayed healthy.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_01]: Like, why am I taking him?
- 40:39[SPEAKER_01]: Like sure, yeah, fancy points for game.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_01]: He's great.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_01]: He scores a lot of touchdowns.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_01]: But it's like, I just, no, no, no, no.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not taking Christian watch.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not taking, I get turned every year.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_01]: Or this early.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_01]: So hear me out.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_00]: He had, he had an insane recovery time for that injury that he, I think he towards ACL right.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_00]: He had an insane recovery.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_00]: He beat the timeline, tremendous thing.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_00]: He came out and he produced his second half of his season, and I don't think he usually hurt when he came back last year.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_00]: There was always a thing about his hamstrings, and then he went through that mysterious hamstring treatment, and like, what if that worked?
- 41:13[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes I feel like the best thing to do was just when making rankings is asked, like, what if?
- 41:20[SPEAKER_00]: Like what if Christian Watson is just beyond his hamstring issues and ACLs can happen anything nowadays.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_00]: Like what if you just got his hamstring issues and like this is who he is now?
- 41:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's like a couple years ago before the James Cook break out again back to running backs.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_00]: You know, everyone was, they don't use him in the red zone, they don't use him in the red zone, they don't use him in the red zone, they just trash out on, they had whoever else that they give the carries inside the five and
- 41:43[SPEAKER_00]: James Cook was clearly very, very talented, and I just, my question when drafting that off season, why I was so high on a battlefield season was, what if they just use him in the red zone more?
- 41:54[SPEAKER_00]: Then he had 16 touchdowns.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_00]: And so sometimes he just have to ask what if.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_01]: Sure, yeah, that's fine, but then I just pull into the game log, right?
- 42:02[SPEAKER_01]: His receptions, he comes back 4, 2, 2, 4, 5, 4, 4, 3, 2, 5, like his usage isn't high, he's boom bust.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's a run-first offense, it's just, he's just, he's just, he's just not a guy I'm ever graphic.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_01]: great career career games right 10 59 14 most yards he's had 620 I this it's just I this the risk is way too high for at this point for me and so one more new I thought one more new before we move on the packers notably moved on from Romeo dobsis off season as well as on table on wicks I know he was a little lower on a total poll but
- 42:39[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he was useful in spots.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think to me that shows that the packers are trying to maybe condense their offense a little bit more because their library series was always so frustrating because they were so deep.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_00]: They now run 3D with Christian Watson, Jaden Reed and Matthew Gold.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that they move on from two guys that they clearly add levels of trust in.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_00]: If they don't believe the Christian Watson has moved past some of those health issues.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, maybe.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_01]: But also maybe, oh, that's why I kind of like Matthew Golden.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_01]: I'm kind of, I'm really grown on him.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_01]: But, okay, so another guy quickly.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_01]: So out here, it's, it's, it's, it's like,
- 43:18[SPEAKER_01]: Right, lead lead in in your work at cat with his grade like 22.6, but he doesn't get any volume.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like if I'm in a PPR league, it's like I'm getting no point for these taxes.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_01]: So it's just I need he has to get four for 80, but he, you know, he's he's getting two for 40 sure that looks great in the yard for cat for that doesn't help me.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_01]: That doesn't help me win my week.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's, you hit it.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_00]: First, well, I just thought quickly, like they paid him to be the one.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, follow the money.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes it doesn't work out, but generally speaking, like follow the money, and that's where the opportunities will go.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_00]: Second, just like we were talking about with Christian Watson and the Packers, the cults had a ton of targets last year.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_00]: Michael Pittman was the one last year.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_00]: Started as the one, you know, obviously, I like Pierce College, I've over.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_00]: they let him go, they they traded him, they didn't really do anything to address the offense.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, I know Tyler Warren tight end, site on podcast later on, is going to probably take a step up.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_00]: but they've also now condensed their often.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_00]: And so, they've, Alec Pierce has done a twice in a row, where he's led the league in Yardsburg Target.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_00]: He's done a twice in a row where he has been a reliable target that you can draft leading your drafts often and pick up on the waiver wire.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_00]: And sometimes when a guy does it twice, like the first year wasn't a flu, like the second year like, maybe he's just that guy now.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_00]: And the moves they made, the cult did in the off season of the connection that Alec Pierce had with Daniel Jones, both can be in the coming off of different ankle injuries.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_00]: Shame-stike and I think is a good offense in mind.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_00]: I think he kind of finally figured out what he wanted to do over there in Indian Alps.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_00]: He kind of finally found the guys to do it with, and he's just making that down like these are the dubs that we're rolling with.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_00]: And Alec Pierce is the top dog in that receiver role.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_00]: And when it comes to PPR, I think just to touch on that, share the volume is obviously kind of outweighs a little bit more of the production.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_00]: But his yards and touchdowns still matter.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_00]: Like, don't get hung up on the one-dale Robinson who is going to get under 40 targets, but not a clip 700 yards.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_00]: And we'll talk more about Rob, Rob, Rob, and some later, maybe, or you'll just see about it in my rankings.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_00]: last season up exactly as well well we'll talk about that potentially so it's important not to just get caught up on I need I need this guy to get a hundred plus catches because that might only turn into seven hundred yards if you're on the Robinson it's important to get the guys that can have the big plays and the touch touch because that's still scores points sure yeah we're not to make this a two part or we're just we've got on up with these I love it I love it
- 46:13[SPEAKER_01]: But I feel I so pierce is like one of those guys that is lead format dependent standard, right?
- 46:19[SPEAKER_01]: I'm moving him up, you know, a maybe a full tier or something whereas in PPR, it's like, I think there's a good chance to wash downs, how's more fancy points in him in a PPR format?
- 46:31[SPEAKER_00]: that is entirely possible.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_00]: So I do this based off half point people.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_00]: And so maybe I could have put my shots down a little bit closer, but I have Josh Towns in the interior below just for a spoiler or for part two, maybe we'll start with Josh Towns.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_00]: I'd be good bookends.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_00]: We kind of talk about like Pierce with the cults and why I think he is a tier above and we can get into Josh Towns.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_00]: So one of the podcasts and you can you can state through claim.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we're going to go another couple more minutes here, but yeah, which we could have like just a bill board or something where it's like, you know, we just put it up.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_01]: You say, I was going to score more than a few points.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_01]: I say, Josh down.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_01]: And then we could remember it or something.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_01]: I'm happy great.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_00]: Or he can like we can we can start that.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, I just, I don't, okay, quickly though, let's just tennis.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_01]: We got Brian Thomas Jr. At the bottom of your tier, I'm at your first Jaguar.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_01]: I've talked to Brian about the Jags.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody knows anything.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_01]: What do you, what do you, what do you do with these three winters?
- 47:26[SPEAKER_01]: Brian Thomas Jr. Watch three reports of the rookie, Parker Washington and Merge kind of as that.
- 47:30[SPEAKER_01]: Why do people want?
- 47:31[SPEAKER_01]: But they trade for Duke Kobe Myers, Apricot to the TD and he would have the touchdown monster.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_01]: We love the Jags offense.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_01]: We like to have a roach, we love Liam Cohen.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_01]: I honestly, I don't know what to
- 47:42[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm going with Brian Thomas Jr. first at this moment because he be because of the talent he was a top he was a first round pick I don't remember where Jack thought he was drafted I think top half the first round it's very least he had a monster rookie season like you like to say that I'll let you know in the NFL he had a monster rookie season yeah you're saying he first ran draft from college and he's like a fourth hit
- 48:11[SPEAKER_01]: I think you've talked about Google.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_00]: And so, me, no, he was out in the first round.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_00]: I'm pretty positive for that.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_00]: And so, I'm gonna lean on that.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_00]: All right, I'm kind of buying into Arthur Washington.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_00]: maybe it on a small pick and others need pick.
- 48:28[SPEAKER_00]: He's also in the tier right below.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll have gloves and plenty of good things to talk about in the next tier.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_00]: So I'll kind of save my part of Washington's left for the next show.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_00]: But Brian Thomas, you know, like he, he wasn't a lead prospect.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_00]: Again, he had an elite season and now you like to say that that was what I think was Max Jones at the time or whoever the backup was.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it was Max Jones right.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_00]: And maybe that's the case because in the
- 48:54[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it was rocky road for them, and you know, they felt the need to trade for Jacobi Myers.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_00]: Um, they gave Parker Washington's a more open opportunity to move this step up, but I just, I have a hard time believing that that level of prospect just completely falls off what's an upgrade in quarterback.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_00]: So maybe, which is them getting used to each other, maybe it was the first year in the new steam of Liam.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_00]: Paul and Andrew Hill, he was injured.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the injuries.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_00]: I'm willing to overlook last season for a variety of reasons and just bet on the talent.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_00]: There are certainly some concerns, which is why he lands into your five, which once this gets published early next week.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_00]: You'll see, like, this is the tier where I truly, maybe I've side of neighbors who's in the tier above.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_00]: This is where I truly, you can truly start to question some guys and kind of as far as more of the variance where they should be really higher or really lower as far as here the where they are.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_00]: This is kind of where you start to get in those valid questions.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_00]: And Brian Thomas Jr. at the bottom of this tier is one of those guys where it's a valid question and whether he should be this high, whether he should be lower.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_00]: on people may even want to have empire based off of the talent that he actually is.
