- 0:00SPEAKER_02: We've had a little bit of uh food chat here going on in the past few minutes.
- 0:03SPEAKER_02: I have to ask you a question.
- 0:04SPEAKER_02: Something I've not uh investigated in your relationship currently.
- 0:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah uh do you have snack battles?
- 0:12SPEAKER_01: Um do you mean snack battles on like what are we gonna buy?
- 0:16SPEAKER_02: Let me put it this way.
- 0:17SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 0:18SPEAKER_02: In the past, I've known that there were snacks hidden.
- 0:22SPEAKER_01: Uh there were That was a few relationships ago.
- 0:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 0:25SPEAKER_01: And rightfully, rightfully so, because he just he was a big snacker.
- 0:29SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, Well, yeah, come on, leave me one, you know?
- 0:31SPEAKER_02: Right, exactly.
- 0:32SPEAKER_02: So, but you're not having that uh uh with uh with today's Zach.
- 0:37SPEAKER_02: No, we don't today and tomorrow.
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: We don't snack the same, even get oh, so remember when Rural King dropped off the snacks on Friday?
- 0:45SPEAKER_02: In fact, right now, I can just have some or trail mix right here.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: They had dropped off these little baby dark chocolate buckeyes.
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: And I ate so many of them that finally, and I left them over the weekend.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: I was gone in Cleveland and Zach was home.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: So I I said, help yourself, eat them, eat them, eat them.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: And he still left me some.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: Very sweet, right?
- 1:04SPEAKER_01: I mean, this is still like, you know, first year relationship stuff.
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: Because I'm sure by what are you guys in year three or four?
- 1:10SPEAKER_02: I think so, yes.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you don't even know.
- 1:13SPEAKER_02: Down the line of ways.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: But by this point, we know that Scott eats the last of something.
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: Because that's also.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: Because on the podcast, it also came up that you eat all the snacks.
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: Not all of them.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: That was like about ten podcasts ago, not for air podcasts.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: And and you so yesterday there was still like three of the buckeyes left.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: Please just eat them.
- 1:39SPEAKER_02: No, but but I guess now it brings up this question.
- 1:42SPEAKER_02: When you say you snack differently, because I know you eat the god-awful Quest chips, and uh nobody will ever say, Hey, I uh I ate all the Quest chips.
- 1:51SPEAKER_02: I can't wait to have a fart chip.
- 1:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, you know, it's like he ain't going for those.
- 1:55SPEAKER_02: Is he not a sweets kind of guy when it comes to the chocolate snacks?
- 1:58SPEAKER_02: Is he more of a like a I don't know, a checks mix or a potato chips guy?
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: I'll tell you what his go-to snack is.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: All right, tell me.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: He's kind of like Lydia.
- 2:04SPEAKER_01: He loves like cheese and crackers.
- 2:06SPEAKER_01: He's like a charcuterie guy.
- 2:08SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 2:08SPEAKER_02: So it's not so much opening the bag and and going, okay, that's fine.
- 2:13SPEAKER_02: Although he does love ice cream.
- 2:14SPEAKER_02: Uh well, yeah, I think everybody's got a weakness for at least one sweet somewhere.
- 2:19SPEAKER_02: But your regular snacks, okay, so he's gonna go get a block of cheese and cut it and get some triskets.
- 2:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah, fair enough.
- 2:25SPEAKER_02: Last night, uh apparently, and and by the way, this is off the table.
- 2:29SPEAKER_02: I'm just officially announcing this.
- 2:31SPEAKER_02: If Tiffany thinks that she's gonna throw a snarky comment to me about this, this is off the table.
- 2:37SPEAKER_02: So we bought at Trader Joe's, you know how they know how he thinks he's gonna tell her what to do.
- 2:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that that's not happening.
- 2:43SPEAKER_02: But anyway, you know how uh have you ever had the Trader Joe's chips?
- 2:47SPEAKER_02: Uh it I forget what they're called, but it's like all their different varieties of chips in one bag.
- 2:51SPEAKER_01: Oh, it's like garbage chips or something like that.
- 2:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah, well, they're excellent, right?
- 2:55SPEAKER_02: And apparently I only left a few in the bottom of this bag.
- 2:58SPEAKER_02: Here's where the statute of limitations comes in.
- 3:01SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 3:01SPEAKER_02: We haven't been to Trader Joe's together when we bought those in well over a month.
- 3:06SPEAKER_02: So it's over with.
- 3:08SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 3:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you've had up A month.
- 3:10SPEAKER_02: You don't know.
- 3:11SPEAKER_02: You don't get to come around six weeks later and suddenly go, Oh, I really wanted some of those.
- 3:18SPEAKER_02: No, you buy them because you're going to eat them in the not too distant future.
- 3:21SPEAKER_02: Like 48 hours.
- 3:23SPEAKER_02: Well, maybe, maybe a week.
- 3:24SPEAKER_02: Maybe a week and maybe a week and a half.
- 3:26SPEAKER_01: I'm with you on this.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: So Scott brought in some snacks that you guys have had how long in your your cabinet?
- 3:32SPEAKER_02: Oh, God, that one bag of the spicy Cheetos.
- 3:34SPEAKER_02: I'm like, they've never been opened.
- 3:36SPEAKER_02: If she asks me after six months where the spicy Cheetos, I'm gonna be like, I gave them away.
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: Hold on a second.
- 3:43SPEAKER_01: I want to see the four.
- 3:44SPEAKER_02: We all no, I've already thrown it out.
- 3:46SPEAKER_02: Uh it was gone.
- 3:46SPEAKER_02: It was gone.
- 3:47SPEAKER_02: There was like four left.
- 3:48SPEAKER_02: Oh, I'm sorry.
- 3:49SPEAKER_02: Did you want them?
- 3:51SPEAKER_02: You did not.
- 3:51SPEAKER_02: I didn't want them.
- 3:53SPEAKER_02: I wanted to.
- 3:54SPEAKER_02: You can't do this at home, Mommy.
- 3:55SPEAKER_02: Get it out! You had the chance!
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: But I'm sick, so I didn't want to put my dirty paws in there.
- 4:00SPEAKER_01: Go get a plate and pour them on the plate! No, I just didn't want to touch it.
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: I just was like avoiding.
- 4:04SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, I don't want to hear this.
- 4:05SPEAKER_02: I can't, because now I'm having some sort of like, you know, third level universes.
- 4:10SPEAKER_02: So at any rate, um Yes.
- 4:13SPEAKER_02: So uh I get that little speaking to last night because I'm a believer if you get snacks, because there's one of a couple ways to keep snacks.
- 4:20SPEAKER_02: You have some on the shelf for reserve purposes of people coming over, or when you run out of the bag of whatever, you open a new bag of it.
- 4:28SPEAKER_02: Not the bag's been open for five weeks and you've just decided to go for something.
- 4:33SPEAKER_01: Wait, it's been open it's been open for five weeks?
- 4:35SPEAKER_02: No, maybe four.
- 4:36SPEAKER_01: Um my gosh, those chips must be so stale.
- 4:38SPEAKER_02: No, no, no, no, no.
- 4:39SPEAKER_02: We because we wrap them tight and clip them and all that.
- 4:41SPEAKER_02: And they're so they they they were surviving.
- 4:44SPEAKER_02: But the point to it is you don't get that chance.
- 4:46SPEAKER_02: After six weeks of having purchased them, see you bye.
- 4:48SPEAKER_02: I'm with you.
- 4:49SPEAKER_02: You have to eat them.
- 4:49SPEAKER_02: Unless it's a new bag.
- 4:51SPEAKER_01: I uh you have to eat them at least within a week.
- 4:53SPEAKER_01: Because or it's fair game for me.
- 4:55SPEAKER_02: Okay, there you go.
- 4:56SPEAKER_02: Once the bag's been open, and I remember she originally opened the bag, and she was the one that she goes, Oh, try these, and I'm like, oh my god, they're gonna be.
- 5:04SPEAKER_01: How did you not eat the whole bag right then and there?
- 5:06SPEAKER_02: It's tough not to.
- 5:07SPEAKER_02: But then his dad runs into a problem with his Doritos and his kid.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: I was eating from a bag of Doritos, and I realized that one of my children's been taking Doritos out of the bag and then licking all of them and putting them back in the bag.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: And I noticed that because I was eating them and I was like, There's virtually no flavor on these.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: It's like they didn't put any dust on these.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: And then I watched them pull Doritos out of the bag and lick it and put it back in the bag.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: And when I was like, What are you doing?
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: They were like, I always do this.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: What are you talking about?
- 5:32SPEAKER_01: For how long this has been happening.
- 5:34SPEAKER_01: That's hilarious.
- 5:35SPEAKER_01: And that's such a kid thing, too.
- 5:37SPEAKER_01: Because you don't even think to teach your kid to not lick and put something back.
- 5:41SPEAKER_02: No.
- 5:41SPEAKER_01: Until you catch them.
- 5:42SPEAKER_01: And then it's okay.
- 5:44SPEAKER_01: We're not gonna do this anymore.
- 5:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, here's a lesson.
- 5:46SPEAKER_01: We don't do that.
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: If your mouth has touched it, no one else mouths no one else's mouth needs to touch it.
- 5:52SPEAKER_02: It's really a life lesson up until they're past college.
