- 0:00Welcome back. And we're going to continue our
- 0:01discussion now with Rick Lyon, who has a long history with the
- 0:05Urantia Book and the Urantia Book movement as we move
- 0:09forward. And we talk about some of the
- 0:11more interesting aspects of the Urantia Book and what it
- 0:14predicts for the future as we continue our discussion with
- 0:17Rick Lyon on this wonderful episode of the Urantia Radio
- 0:21Podcast. And I know that, you know, we're
- 0:53talking about that the government type thing.
- 0:55One of the things that really grabbed me early on with the
- 0:58ranch book was the, I think I'll use the term institution of the,
- 1:04you know, planetary government. Because I knew that there had to
- 1:07be so much more than what we have here.
- 1:11That God was something bigger and the universe was something
- 1:14bigger than what we could even imagine.
- 1:17So when I found the ranch book and started reading about, well,
- 1:20there's a planetary Prince, there's a planetary government,
- 1:22we have a local universe, there's a super universe.
- 1:25And even on up to Havona, there's this organization,
- 1:29there's these leaders and different, you know, like the
- 1:35ancients of days, the judicial branch, if you want to put it
- 1:37that way. That was one of the things that
- 1:39really grabbed me early on with the ranch book, was that there
- 1:43is all the way from here all the way to paradise.
- 1:46There's this vast organization that it's not just chaos, it's
- 1:51not just ran, you know? There is somebody in charge of
- 1:56everything. Random is a good word, you know,
- 1:59Right. I think I can say that I am
- 2:03satisfied in a one way, maybe dissatisfied in another, because
- 2:07I want to know more. If there's any dissatisfaction
- 2:10with the Ascension plan is that I want to know more about it.
- 2:13And I think about that, and while I'm not wishing to catch
- 2:17the bus to Mansonia anytime soon, I am eager to participate
- 2:21in that Ascension plan and be part of all that and all that
- 2:25awaits us, you know, from here to paradise for sure.
- 2:30Do you think that the Urantia revelators give a a a reasonable
- 2:35expectation of what the future will be like on our world, with
- 2:39the advancement toward light and life and the elongation of
- 2:42living and more peace and brotherhood?
- 2:45Do you? Do you?
- 2:46Are you satisfied with its projection of our future as a
- 2:50race, as a species, as a planet? And can you think of any other
- 2:53book that presents this kind of scenario?
- 2:58Absolutely not. I don't know of any other book
- 3:01that presents even a glimpse of such a future as what the Ranch
- 3:05book lays out just for this planet and life on this planet.
- 3:10So I think that's that's another one of those things I would like
- 3:16to know more. But I think what the arrange
- 3:18book is telling us is that there is this period of light in life.
- 3:22There is a day when there'll be, you know, no more pain and no
- 3:25more war and all that kind of stuff that, you know, that's
- 3:28right out of the Bible too. And but how we get there is
- 3:33based on the uplifting of the individual.
- 3:37You know, there's a quote that says the hope of a better nation
- 3:40or a better world relies in the Enlightenment of the individual.
- 3:44And I think that's the key to getting our world to that point.
- 3:49We're not going to be here. We're going to be farther on
- 3:52down the line when that happens. But we are trying to to help
- 3:56take help humanity take that evolutionary step toward that
- 4:01goal. And that's our part of our
- 4:05participation in Michael's plan for his local universe is to
- 4:10help bring this world up to that level of light and life.
- 4:14So there's one more world that has accomplished that, so that
- 4:18eventually all his world will be settled in light and life and
- 4:22something, something really great is going to happen when
- 4:26that day comes. So we're just trying to do our
- 4:30little part here to help advance this world.
- 4:33And and also, you know, it's, it's not about advancing the
- 4:35world too. It's also about advancing people
- 4:39because, you know, we're trying to help people find God.
- 4:43We're trying to help people become closer to God.
- 4:46We're hoping or helping people find value and meaning and
- 4:49purpose in their life because so many people are out there today
- 4:53that don't understand what their real purpose is.
- 4:58You know, the ranch book talks about we're going to become
- 5:01finalators and then eventually we have some role to play in the
- 5:05outer space levels. And so just even contemplating
- 5:09the Ascension plan up to and including all that, even after
- 5:13we become finalators, Oh my gosh, it's just, I don't even
- 5:18know. You know, it just blows me away
- 5:20to even contemplate what's ahead of us.
- 5:23So it's pretty, I keep using the word exciting because it is.
- 5:26It is exciting for me for sure. I can see that being like a
- 5:31child entering kindergarten. So when the child gets ready to
- 5:34get on the bus for their first day of kindergarten, what do
- 5:37they do? Stand there and cry because
- 5:39they're scared. You know, what the where am I
- 5:42going? What's going to happen?
- 5:43What's coming next? I don't know.
- 5:45You know, I don't understand any of this.
- 5:47But yet, as you're saying, as I go through junior high in high
- 5:50school and college, you know, it all becomes with this wonderful
- 5:53thing. And we're in that kindergarten
- 5:55stage where we're looking ahead and we don't know.
- 5:57We don't really know what's ahead.
- 5:59We don't know really what's going to be expected of us or,
- 6:02or what's going to happen. So often times people are afraid
- 6:05of that. So, but as far as the ranch book
- 6:09being another religion, no. What do your ranch book does
- 6:14concerning religion? It does two things.
- 6:16One, it points out the the problems with religion nowadays,
- 6:21the organized religion, and it tells us that, you know,
- 6:24whenever you get a group of people together, they will form
- 6:27these organizations, these churches, these did a different
- 6:32face and things like that. And that's not a bad thing, but
- 6:35what it does tell you is the real religion is within you.
- 6:40It's the divine within. And that's a that's becoming a
- 6:44brand name that we're using for the Center for Unity is the
- 6:47divine within. And that's where real religion
- 6:50is. It's your personal relationship
- 6:52with God. And how you how you strengthen
- 6:56that relationship is through prayer.
- 6:59You know, if you don't communicate with somebody, your
- 7:01relationship fades away. So the more you communicate, the
- 7:04stronger your relationship with anyone becomes, whether it's
- 7:07your, your wife or your brother or your sister or your coworkers
- 7:10or whatever. So, so prayer and communication
- 7:14with God is how you strengthen that relationship.
- 7:17And that relationship is what is true religion.
- 7:21And that's what the ranch book is trying to get through to us.
- 7:24Is that your? Your personal religion is what's
- 7:28important, and that's your relationship with God.
- 7:31Urantiabooktutor.com and also the Ask Jesus app which is out
- 7:36there. So there's much more.
- 7:38Ask Jesus, chatbot.com. And then there's
- 7:41discoverjesus.com. What's the the home address for
- 7:45Center for unity.org? Is that it?
- 7:48Correct. Our main website is the Center
- 7:50for unity.org and like I say, then we've got
- 7:54discoverjesus.com, we've got Durant your book podpod.com,
- 8:00then we have Durant book tudor.com and then the other one
- 8:03that's real interesting is Divine Mother productions.com.
- 8:07That's our film project that we have a trailer on there about
- 8:11the spiritual equality of women. And so we're trying to put
- 8:15together this streaming film series that is going to bring
- 8:21the ranch book into a streaming film series or ATV series or
- 8:25something like that. So Divine Mother productions.com
- 8:29is another one that's really good.
- 8:31Very good. All right, well, exciting times
- 8:34ahead to be sure. This is a whole new time, So
- 8:36thank you so much Again, Rick Lyon joining me here on the
