- 0:12SPEAKER_00: In Montur, they have one next weekend on the third.

- 0:16SPEAKER_01: So let me write down on the calendar where you want to put yet another festival of whatever you're about to say.
- 0:22SPEAKER_01: This is gonna be sounds like a great idea, guys.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: This is gonna be so good.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: Why don't we have a Mark Twain festival where people dress up like Mark Twain?
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: Can you imagine a little parade of Mark Twain's?
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: How cool would that be?
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: I love my own freaking idea.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 0:37SPEAKER_01: I love my freaking idea so much.
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: But what what's the hook?
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: Are we just all gonna read uh, you know, uh This is a great idea.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: I mean, is it I love I love what you're saying already.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: So we could do it.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: I don't love what I'm saying, but alright.
- 0:51SPEAKER_01: I do like let's all get together and read Huck Finn.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: Well, I think that, or you could dress like Mark Twain characters.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: Not a bad audio.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: Um what would did did Mark Twain have like a favorite food or something?
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: Anyway, it doesn't matter.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: I think what it is is just celebrating Mark Twain.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: Since everyone has such a love affair with Mark Twain here.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: We do do a glass fest.
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: We celebrate glass.
- 1:13SPEAKER_01: That's exactly inanimate object, but it happened to make a city.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: Elmira downtown, are you listening?
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: There is something to do.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: Marshall Ferrari, are you listening?
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: Actually, it can almost be a giant mustache party, whether you could have I mean, I'm still looking for the fun factor in this, other than walking around with a mustache.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: Seneca Lodge does a mustache party for their opening party.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: Now that's in April.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: That's something totally different.
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's very different.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: But I do like what you're saying because we all could be, and it it has to be a warmer month, and the reason why is think about what Mark I'm not not warmer, I'm sorry, cooler month.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: Think about what Mark Twain wears.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: With a white suit.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: You don't want to wear a suit in July.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: You don't want to have a mustache and be so sweaty.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: You gotta have you gotta have this in like, you know, an October.
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: Oh, another thing in October.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: Let me put that on the calendar.
- 2:04SPEAKER_01: Mark Twain Festival in between every other effing thing going on.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: What about what about maybe March?
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, March might be.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: March for March.
- 2:13SPEAKER_01: Hold on.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: Okay, look it up.
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: You know, I don't know this.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: Hold on a second.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: I I don't know it either.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: But dun dun dun Oh, we could even do that.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: Trolley, they have a Mark Twain trolley, don't you?
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: November 30th.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: That's a good day.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: That is a really good day.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: Hold on a second.
- 2:31SPEAKER_01: Um we're all fat and sassy after having uh Thanksgiving.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: Okay, I got something else.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: Apparently he preferred writing while in bed.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: We could do the the uh the bed races that we've talked about for 20 years.
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: Okay, now you're starting to add a hook that's got me interested.
- 2:47SPEAKER_01: Because no offense, it a parade of people dressed as Mark Twain, so we can sit down and quietly read books.
- 2:53SPEAKER_01: No, but that's dull.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: We don't have to quietly read, but he also has a cat lover.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: So we could have like cat stuff, we could have the bed races, we could have the Mark Twain look-alike contest.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: I just think that we are not monopolizing on what we have here, which is Mark Twain.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: Oh, wait, and um, let's see.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: His famous pen name comes from a nautical term used by a Mississipp Mississippi Riverboat.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: So we could be like a riverboat over on the Shmong River?
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: Yes, I don't think it'll float.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: Did you know he was a steamboat pilot?
- 3:29SPEAKER_01: I did not.
- 3:29SPEAKER_01: Did you know what his real name was?
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: Sam Clemens.
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: I did that I did know.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: Because I went to something at this was a while back.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: I was at the Clemens Center, and they had like a Mark Twain specialist.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: That's not that's not his title.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: Homie isn't even from here, but that's here nor there.
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but this was more of a this was a beloved area for him.
- 3:53SPEAKER_01: Well, he's here now forever.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: Of course, because this is the best area.
- 3:56SPEAKER_01: Did you hear what I said?
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: He's now here forever.
- 3:58SPEAKER_01: Because he's in the ground up the road.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I've been there.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: Just went there about a year or two ago for the first time.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: Anyway, that's my idea.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: Take it or leave it.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: I like the mustaches, I like the bed races.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: The cat stuff.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: Come on.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: Dress up, sure.
- 4:11SPEAKER_01: We could do it on camera.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: There's enough kook balls in this area that'll we could easily get cat people out.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: Oh, totally.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: Just weird mustache people.
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: No, that's true.
