- 0:05Speaker 1: List after after the after we recorded the ten minute fight,
- 0:09Speaker 1: I'm afraid to ever say anything to you. No, no, no,
- 0:12Speaker 1: that was I'm so sorry. You should never be afraid
- 0:14Speaker 1: of me. That release the fight. A lot of fans
- 0:17Speaker 1: want us to release the fight. Fuck, that's like the
- 0:20Speaker 1: Zack Snyder cut. Release the fight cut. Speaking of the
- 0:26Speaker 1: black and white, Speaking of Zack Snyder cut, how was it? Oh, dude,
- 0:33Speaker 1: it was amazing. The fans were incredible and like so
- 0:37Speaker 1: gracious and I've never like you know me, What I
- 0:40Speaker 1: love about fans is like their passion and their drive,
- 0:43Speaker 1: and then like the sense of community, and this is
- 0:45Speaker 1: an entire community people who rallied around something that literally
- 0:48Speaker 1: an entire studio was like, it's never going to happen,
- 0:51Speaker 1: and they were like, we're gonna, We're we will put
- 0:53Speaker 1: up billboards, we will fly planes, Like what do we
- 0:56Speaker 1: need to do to convince you to do it? And
- 0:58Speaker 1: then the craziness of the pandemic happened and they were like,
- 1:01Speaker 1: I guess you can have it as a treat. And
- 1:03Speaker 1: I really liked the movie I was. I wasn't sure
- 1:06Speaker 1: what I was going to expect, but I thought it
- 1:08Speaker 1: was a lot of fun. It's like very polished and
- 1:11Speaker 1: like this is a really cool experience to hang out
- 1:13Speaker 1: with a bunch of like really awesome people. There were
- 1:15Speaker 1: some surprises which I won't spoil if you haven't had
- 1:17Speaker 1: a chance to see the Red Card VID yet. But
- 1:19Speaker 1: it was really great. Right on. I'm really happy for you, Joel,
- 1:23Speaker 1: And the movie was good. You liked the movie? You see? Yeah? Yes,
- 1:26Speaker 1: I did. Yes, it all four four and seven seconds
- 1:31Speaker 1: of it. I found enjoyable. Wow, Um, did you? And
- 1:35Speaker 1: did you solve the query about whether it's in black
- 1:38Speaker 1: and white or color? There's there's two releases, so there
- 1:41Speaker 1: you can choose yes, so you can watch justices gray.
- 1:44Speaker 1: That's a black and white version from the only difference
- 1:46Speaker 1: of Color. Yeah, that I saw. I only got through
- 1:49Speaker 1: the first few chapters of the great version, but I'm
- 1:53Speaker 1: pretty sure. I'm pretty sure it's the same movie. Now, Donald,
- 1:56Speaker 1: which one will you be selecting? I'm watching color man.
- 1:58Speaker 1: I grew up in the color TV era. I remember
- 2:00Speaker 1: I had a black and white TV for a really
- 2:02Speaker 1: long time, and when color came to life, it was
- 2:04Speaker 1: like those kids when they walked into that room in
- 2:06Speaker 1: the Wonka Willy Wonka chocolate factory and it was full
- 2:09Speaker 1: of candy. And this was a crap TV. Like we
- 2:11Speaker 1: found it in the in the in the garbage compactor room,
- 2:16Speaker 1: and my dad was like, I think it's a color TV.
- 2:18Speaker 1: And we were like okay, and he plugged it in
- 2:20Speaker 1: and it took like five minutes to finally turn off. Yeah,
- 2:29Speaker 1: but finally I got to watch Vultron and I was
- 2:33Speaker 1: very surprised at how close I was to the color
- 2:36Speaker 1: pattern of Vultron's lions. Like I knew the colors were red, yellow, blue, green,
- 2:43Speaker 1: and black, but I didn't know which was which. I
- 2:45Speaker 1: didn't know which hand was green or right, and so
- 2:49Speaker 1: I would always guess. And when I got the color
- 2:52Speaker 1: TV finally, I was like, I was close as you
- 3:00Speaker 1: didn't compare it to the Wizard of Oz, which I
- 3:02Speaker 1: just learned. What's a cowboy switch? I had no clue
- 3:05Speaker 1: that when she goes from the Cepia tone black and
- 3:07Speaker 1: white to the like full color, that that's a cowboy switch?
- 3:12Speaker 1: What do you mean? Yeah? Do you mean? So they
- 3:14Speaker 1: painted the house Cepia toned, right, They had her stand
- 3:19Speaker 1: in opens, you know, when she opens the door to
- 3:21Speaker 1: her house after she gets caught up in the tornado,
- 3:22Speaker 1: and then she walked in the OZ. So that is
- 3:25Speaker 1: shot in color. It's just painted cepia tone. They made
- 3:28Speaker 1: a cepia toned dress for the stand in. They gave
- 3:30Speaker 1: her like black and gray makeup. She opens the doorsteps
- 3:34Speaker 1: off camera, and then Judy Garland steps into camera in
- 3:37Speaker 1: the full color dress and walks out into the real world.
- 3:39Speaker 1: That it blew my mind. I watched it again. Joel
- 3:42Speaker 1: are you Are you a big Wizard of Oz fan?
- 3:45Speaker 1: I love Wizard of Oz. It's like one of the
- 3:46Speaker 1: first movies I can remember watching. Okay that I've been looking.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I've been cleaning out my office and I stumbled across
- 3:52Speaker 1: a great present. I didn't know who to give it
- 3:54Speaker 1: to until this moment. What is happening? Rainbow? You know,
- 4:01Speaker 1: I'll let you, I'll let you do it. I'll let
- 4:02Speaker 1: you do this, but I'll tell you right now. Apollo Theater,
- 4:05Speaker 1: somewhere over the Rainbow has been sung so well and
- 4:09Speaker 1: so bad it goes. I totally lost track of what
- 4:15Speaker 1: I heard Apollo Theater and then what so that song
- 4:18Speaker 1: somewhere over the Rainbow is always sung at at showtime
- 4:22Speaker 1: at the Apollo. Right have you ever watched showtime at
- 4:24Speaker 1: the Apollo. Of course, my classmate Lauren Hill was on
- 4:27Speaker 1: long before she was famous, and got almost booed off.
- 4:30Speaker 1: So when you were talking about the guy almost came
- 4:32Speaker 1: and got her with the hook. She made it through
- 4:36Speaker 1: your your your gift that you're about to reveal to everyone.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Reminded me of how many times somewhere over the Rainbow
- 4:46Speaker 1: is sung at the Apollo. Showtime at the Apollo. I
- 4:49Speaker 1: didn't know how to go to it that one, and
- 4:51Speaker 1: and I telling you, go, you're the best man I've
- 5:03Speaker 1: ever known. There's no way I can ever go. No, no, no,
- 5:09Speaker 1: no way, no no no no, I'm nav I'm not naming,
- 5:18Speaker 1: cannot naming. I don't want to be free. Oh god,
- 5:25Speaker 1: a time of class some mountain. Hey, I don't know.
- 5:28Speaker 1: She says, that's the number. That is a great number.
- 5:33Speaker 1: So you were talking, Wizard of oz Um. That was
- 5:41Speaker 1: quite a non secutor you should would be. I did
- 5:47Speaker 1: hit it twice. You didn't hear it because crazy you didn't?
- 5:51Speaker 1: Was it not loud enough? Daniel, I heard it, I
- 5:55Speaker 1: didn't eat hear it. It It gets gated and zoom, but
- 5:57Speaker 1: it'll be loud enough on the recording. Oh, it gets
- 5:59Speaker 1: gated and zoom, which must be audio speak, but you're
- 6:01Speaker 1: gonna hear it. It sounds funny. Um. Anyway, cleaning out
- 6:05Speaker 1: my office, emptying those boxes that we all stare at
- 6:08Speaker 1: that have never been emptied, and I found someone had
- 6:12Speaker 1: gifted me a script of Wizard of Oz signed by
- 6:16Speaker 1: many Munchkins. Why and I don't think that many of
- 6:20Speaker 1: them are still with us. Um wow. But and it
- 6:23Speaker 1: might even have some cast members that aren't Munchkins. But
- 6:25Speaker 1: I feel like it's probably got at least ten or
- 6:28Speaker 1: so cast signatures on it. Um. I finally watched Tenant. Oh,
- 6:35Speaker 1: how did you feel? Um? It's very confusing, and I
- 6:39Speaker 1: had even read some things like what to know before
- 6:42Speaker 1: you watch Tenant, And I just don't think I'm smart
- 6:45Speaker 1: enough to fully get the physics of it all. It
- 6:50Speaker 1: is physics, right, Daniel, I'm traveled. I don't really I
- 6:54Speaker 1: don't really understand. I mean, even after reading some primers,
- 6:58Speaker 1: I don't fully understand the time travel. All that haven't
- 7:00Speaker 1: been said. It is incredibly shot and it looks like
- 7:04Speaker 1: they had infinite amount of money. Which they did, and
- 7:08Speaker 1: and there's some incredible action. Donald. I think you'd really
- 7:12Speaker 1: like the action. It's it's it's it's huge. I mean,
- 7:15Speaker 1: if you just kind of watch it and just don't
- 7:17Speaker 1: get obsessed with trying to track the time travel at all. Um,
- 7:22Speaker 1: maybe out of second viewing you'll get more out of it.
- 7:24Speaker 1: But the first viewing was just kind of like, I'm
- 7:27Speaker 1: just gonna enjoy this and understand and be patient with
- 7:30Speaker 1: the fact that I'm not going to get at all.
- 7:31Speaker 1: That's the only problem I have with time travel. That's
- 7:34Speaker 1: the only problem if you're gonna make a time travel movie.
- 7:36Speaker 1: I don't want to have to think about time travel,
- 7:38Speaker 1: you know what I mean. I don't want to have
- 7:40Speaker 1: to think about theory. I don't have to think about
- 7:42Speaker 1: any of that. I will see Tenant, however, because I
- 7:45Speaker 1: do like I do like Nolan, and I do I do.
- 7:49Speaker 1: I knew the start thing when he was a kid,
- 7:55Speaker 1: you know what I mean. He introduced himself I think
- 7:58Speaker 1: outside of the Staples Center one night. He walked by
- 8:01Speaker 1: and he was like, my dad's didn'tzel Washington? And I
- 8:03Speaker 1: was like, yeah, right, kid, Yeah, sure, he is right.
- 8:07Speaker 1: You know, it's interesting. He really sounds like Denzel at times.
- 8:11Speaker 1: He really they have the same similar vocal intonation. That's great.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Um anyway, I recommended. And the other thing I watched
- 8:20Speaker 1: that I recommend is um a show, a documentary called
- 8:26Speaker 1: Five Came Back. Is this awesome documentary about the five
- 8:29Speaker 1: biggest filmmakers in the world at the time of World
- 8:32Speaker 1: War Two and how they went over to UH to
- 8:35Speaker 1: Europe to make documentaries and films for the government and
- 8:40Speaker 1: UH and and how it affected their filmmaking. And it's
- 8:43Speaker 1: really really fascinating documentary that I saw. Um. I believe
- 8:45Speaker 1: it's on Netflix. So there you go. There's my recommendations
- 8:48Speaker 1: of the week. I have zero recommendations. I did, however,
- 8:51Speaker 1: see that Falcon and the Winter Soldier final trailer. I'm
- 8:55Speaker 1: keeping I wish you've probably seen it already, Joe. I
- 9:02Speaker 1: know it's fire. I know it's fired. But listen, I'm
- 9:04Speaker 1: gonna tell you something right now. If you are in
- 9:07Speaker 1: the business of making TV shows with superheroes in it,
- 9:13Speaker 1: there's the blueprint right there, y'all. Like freaking Marvel got
- 9:17Speaker 1: it on locked, dude, Like how do you how do
- 9:20Speaker 1: how does anyone compete with the level of special effects?
- 9:24Speaker 1: Like the like how do you do it? Like, what
- 9:27Speaker 1: do you do? You just gotta say, you know what.
- 9:29Speaker 1: They do their thing and we're just gonna do ours.
- 9:31Speaker 1: They don't seem to miss miss have not yet. Well,
- 9:39Speaker 1: I would say in the early days they missed with
- 9:41Speaker 1: the first Hulk. Uh and even though it had some
- 9:46Speaker 1: even though it had a good tie in, it wasn't
- 9:49Speaker 1: necessarily uh, the right move because they started with that movie. Right,
- 9:54Speaker 1: The Hawk is the movie they start with, and then
- 9:56Speaker 1: they go into Iron Man. Am I right? Like Ed
- 9:58Speaker 1: Norton as Ed Norton as the Hawk was? Was Was Ed
- 10:01Speaker 1: Norton as the Hawk first? And then Iron Man happened.
- 10:05Speaker 1: I kind of canonically out of the MCU, No, canonically
- 10:09Speaker 1: out of them. No, the Ed Norton Hawk is in
- 10:11Speaker 1: the MCU. They use all of That's why I thought
- 10:15Speaker 1: that Mark Ruffalo was the MCU. He's the other one.
- 10:18Speaker 1: It can change as there's only two. Oh, there's two Hulks,
- 10:25Speaker 1: there's three in movie form. No, I'm saying in the
- 10:28Speaker 1: world of MCU, there's only one. Well, there could be
- 10:31Speaker 1: more than that. It could all be uh what you
- 10:33Speaker 1: would call it uh uh multi verses. Also. Anyway, my
- 10:37Speaker 1: point is they really got it on lock. You just
- 10:40Speaker 1: gotta just say, you know what you do, what they do,
- 10:42Speaker 1: what they do. I'm gonna do what I do. You know,
- 10:44Speaker 1: what's the behind the scenes thing they just released for
- 10:47Speaker 1: one division? I did. And the fact that these guys
- 10:49Speaker 1: were on wires and flying in the street and it
- 10:53Speaker 1: was practical was amazing. I thought that, look, that's what
- 10:57Speaker 1: made it look sort of realistic, that they're being pushed
- 11:00Speaker 1: and thrown through the air and gliding sort of like
- 11:03Speaker 1: Peter Pan Sandy Duncan back in the day, that you
- 11:06Speaker 1: might understand that, Oh I do. I wish Sandy Duncan
- 11:08Speaker 1: was in the MCU. All right, let's talk about the
- 11:16Speaker 1: show Scrubs five six, about show we made about a
- 11:23Speaker 1: bunch of nurses stories never so yead around here? Are
- 11:35Speaker 1: yeat around here? Very funny episode, the Colin Farrell, The
- 11:44Speaker 1: Colin Farrell, very wacky episode two. I know, but I
- 11:47Speaker 1: laughed a lot. I laughed quite a bit. But this
- 11:50Speaker 1: I didn't even try and get Colin. I didn't even try. Sorry,
- 11:54Speaker 1: I'm tired of being humbled by these giant movie stars
- 11:57Speaker 1: who won't come on the show, so I didn't even try.
- 12:00Speaker 1: My father would be disappointed. I didn't. I didn't make
- 12:03Speaker 1: the big ask that I should have asked. So it's
- 12:06Speaker 1: quite all right. I thought this was really funny. Um,
- 12:10Speaker 1: I laughed a bunch. The first thing that made me
- 12:12Speaker 1: laugh is that Jade, this woman wants to come in
- 12:14Speaker 1: the hospital and she's she's messed up her foot, but
- 12:18Speaker 1: she's got a weird nose, and she's like, that's not
- 12:21Speaker 1: my problem. My problem is something else, and I say,
- 12:24Speaker 1: and then I accidentally opened the counter and the coffee
- 12:27Speaker 1: goes flying all over her face and she's screaming, and
- 12:30Speaker 1: I'm like, you know, with the face burns, we can
- 12:32Speaker 1: probably admit you now. That wasn't what made me laugh.
- 12:35Speaker 1: What made me laugh was when the door slams on
- 12:37Speaker 1: your hand and you go, oh my meat, time plans, No,
- 12:41Speaker 1: my meat, time hand, me time hitting right, my mea
- 12:44Speaker 1: time hand, Oh my mea time hand. I was very
- 12:51Speaker 1: silly in this episode. I mean, I feel like I
- 12:53Speaker 1: was making shit up left and right. And oh dude,
- 12:55Speaker 1: there's a lot in this episode where my wife and
- 12:57Speaker 1: I we were watching it like yo, Casey started to
- 13:00Speaker 1: watch Scrubs now, like when we finally gone in four
- 13:03Speaker 1: years four seasons in Yeah, she's now starting to watch,
- 13:06Speaker 1: but we're watching it, and she was like, oh my god,
- 13:08Speaker 1: like I can't believe we're getting away. I said this
- 13:12Speaker 1: to myself. Also, we said a lot of racy things
- 13:15Speaker 1: in this many time hand in two thousand and five,
- 13:18Speaker 1: but nothing compares to the no not it says, nothing
- 13:22Speaker 1: compares to the Wop performance on the Grammys? Did you
- 13:24Speaker 1: catch that? Amazing? I texted Donald, I was like, are
- 13:28Speaker 1: your kids watching this? I couldn't believe that that was
- 13:31Speaker 1: on CBS at fucking seven thirty at night or whatever
- 13:34Speaker 1: time it was. I don't know that that. No, I
- 13:38Speaker 1: don't think you should. But I'm just saying that I
- 13:41Speaker 1: am the opposite of someone who would complain about something
- 13:44Speaker 1: like that. But I as your god, as your kids godfather,
- 13:48Speaker 1: I'm watching this, and I knew you and Casey were
- 13:49Speaker 1: watching it, and I'm watching this Whop performance, And I
- 13:52Speaker 1: text Donald casing, I'm like, your kids aren't watching the No? No, no,
- 13:56Speaker 1: no no. I don't know what Wilder would do she
- 14:00Speaker 1: was watching it at that moment, like she would be like, like, okay,
- 14:04Speaker 1: so um Rocco was playing with the dog this weekend,
- 14:08Speaker 1: and the dog got a massive erection the lipstick came out,
- 14:13Speaker 1: and I've never seen Rocko jump so much, you know,
- 14:15Speaker 1: he jumped up off the dog, like, holy shit, I
- 14:17Speaker 1: broke the dog's penis, right, something's wrong with the dad,
- 14:20Speaker 1: something's wrong with the dog. So I said, no, rock
- 14:22Speaker 1: that's the dog's penis. What did he say? He was like,
- 14:28Speaker 1: he was like, oh my god, it's so horrifying it.
- 14:35Speaker 1: He goes what is that at the bottom of it?
- 14:37Speaker 1: And I was like, that's his that's the dog's balls.
- 14:39Speaker 1: And he was like, why does it look like it's
- 14:41Speaker 1: gonna explode? And oh my god. And I was like, oh, buddy, right.
- 14:47Speaker 1: So Casey gets a little uncomfortable and she's like, Rocko,
- 14:50Speaker 1: you don't need to be talking about the dogs. And
- 14:52Speaker 1: in my mind, I'm like, let's keep this as innocent
- 14:55Speaker 1: as possible for as long as we can. I'm gonna
- 14:58Speaker 1: go in. Let's go in. So he I'm like, we
- 15:01Speaker 1: start talking. We started talking. I was like, so tell me, man,
- 15:05Speaker 1: what happened? And he was like it was like I
- 15:07Speaker 1: was playing with him and out of nowhere, it came
- 15:11Speaker 1: out and I got scared and I was like, yeah, man,
- 15:13Speaker 1: I was like yeah. I was like. He was like
- 15:15Speaker 1: why did he do that? And I was like, you know,
- 15:17Speaker 1: I don't know. To be honest with you, I have
- 15:19Speaker 1: no idea why I did that. You know, um, dogs
- 15:23Speaker 1: that happened. Sometimes dogs do crazy things. So he goes
- 15:26Speaker 1: into the scratch. He goes into the bathroom and starts
- 15:30Speaker 1: brushing his teeth, right, and I'm brushing my teeth and
- 15:34Speaker 1: in the mirror Rockle goes, oh my god. And he
- 15:37Speaker 1: turned and we turned around, and now the dogs humping
- 15:40Speaker 1: the bed. And he's like, well, why is he doing
- 15:46Speaker 1: Why is he doing that? I said, well, what is
- 15:51Speaker 1: he doing? He's like, he's dancing with the thing. Hey,
- 15:53Speaker 1: dancing with the bed. Why is he Why is he dirty?
- 15:57Speaker 1: Dancing with the bed. No, he didn't say dirty, You
- 16:00Speaker 1: just said dancing. Dude. Oh my goodness, Yeah, he's dancing
- 16:07Speaker 1: with my fucking bad kid. You're right. That's as far
- 16:09Speaker 1: as was the dog able to finish. Oh no, it's horrible.
- 16:17Speaker 1: That's horrible for yourself, for yourself? Is it for yourself? Zach?
- 16:26Speaker 1: All right, listen, I'll be saying that in real life. Um,
- 16:31Speaker 1: my me, time hand, My me time hand was very funny.
- 16:34Speaker 1: So one of the big themes of the episode is that. Um,
- 16:37Speaker 1: Carla and Elliott are constantly making plans to do something,
- 16:42Speaker 1: but then they never do. I feel like this is
- 16:45Speaker 1: a very I don't know if in other places if
- 16:47Speaker 1: this is a very popular thing, but in Los Angeles
- 16:49Speaker 1: this is very popular. Everyone's like, we gotta do this,
- 16:51Speaker 1: we gotta do this. Oh my god, let's do this.
- 16:52Speaker 1: And then no one ever follows through on anything. That's
- 16:54Speaker 1: like the last day of a movie when you're done
- 16:57Speaker 1: filming a movie and you see and all the actors
- 16:59Speaker 1: are saying and boy to each other, and the crew saying, by,
- 17:02Speaker 1: we're gonna hang out when we get back to La, right,
- 17:05Speaker 1: you know it, man, I can't wait to see you.
- 17:07Speaker 1: I don't even know why I was saying goodbye, I'm
- 17:09Speaker 1: talking to you tomorrow, right. Nope. Some for us, baby,
- 17:14Speaker 1: well yeah, because we got season two. No, but I
- 17:20Speaker 1: mean even after we finished oh yeah, no, no doubt.
- 17:23Speaker 1: But like, if it wasn't for that summer of me
- 17:26Speaker 1: being in New York and you being in New York
- 17:29Speaker 1: and the show going another year, like that was a
- 17:32Speaker 1: pivotal moment for us. Dude, that was a very big
- 17:35Speaker 1: moment bonding in New York City. Yea, Um, but I
- 17:39Speaker 1: do feel like I don't know if it's a function
- 17:41Speaker 1: of my age or what, but I'm I'm always I
- 17:44Speaker 1: feel like these characters do. When you're excited to make plans,
- 17:48Speaker 1: and then when the plans are coming up, you're like, Oh,
- 17:50Speaker 1: wouldn't it be great if they canceled? We wouldn't have
- 17:52Speaker 1: to go anyway. That's me all the time. You guys
- 17:56Speaker 1: feel that too, that that was me at a very
- 17:59Speaker 1: young age too. It's so exciting, like making the plans
- 18:02Speaker 1: like this, do this, and then we're gonna do this,
- 18:04Speaker 1: and then we can invite them and then we should
- 18:06Speaker 1: go there. And then the day of comes you're like, oh,
- 18:10Speaker 1: I don't want great on the couch. So let me
- 18:14Speaker 1: ask you a question. When we make plans and I
- 18:17Speaker 1: cancel and you give me shit, are you just giving
- 18:20Speaker 1: me shit to just freaking no, because sometimes you cancel.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Very often you and your wife cancel, Like while I'm
- 18:27Speaker 1: on the way to the restaurant, I'd never have done
- 18:30Speaker 1: that to you, as you have never in Donald, I'm
- 18:34Speaker 1: more than anyone I know you and your wife are
- 18:36Speaker 1: the king and Queen of Like, sorry, guys, kids, some
- 18:40Speaker 1: shit happen. We're out and I'm like sitting there being like,
- 18:44Speaker 1: it's actually gonna be a table for one. You can
- 18:50Speaker 1: cancel the extra bread. Will I be able to return
- 18:58Speaker 1: these two margaritas? Oh? Yeah. The thing about people with kids,
- 19:08Speaker 1: they always blame it on the kids. If you don't
- 19:11Speaker 1: have kids, If you don't have kids, it's tough to
- 19:13Speaker 1: blame it on anything. You can be like I don't,
- 19:16Speaker 1: I don't, I'm tired and I don't feel good. I
- 19:17Speaker 1: guess is the go to. But people, whenever anybody, whenever
- 19:21Speaker 1: anybody blames it on the dog, I'm like, get the
- 19:23Speaker 1: funk out of here. But kids, I'm always like, yeah, okay,
- 19:25Speaker 1: I understand. I understand, it's a it's a real having kids.
- 19:29Speaker 1: I understand. How things can you know, monkey wrenches can
- 19:33Speaker 1: get thrown into the system very easy. The funny thing
- 19:36Speaker 1: is that Bill wrote this UM and Bill and Chris
- 19:40Speaker 1: to do this a lot. Whenever I'm with them, we
- 19:41Speaker 1: always are like, oh my god, and then we should
- 19:43Speaker 1: go here, and do you want to guys go up
- 19:44Speaker 1: to you, guys want to go to big sir, and
- 19:46Speaker 1: we should do this, and we should do that. And
- 19:48Speaker 1: I'm like I'm just thinking, I'm like smiling and talking
- 19:50Speaker 1: to I'm like, this shit's never never gonna happen. Yeah,
- 19:54Speaker 1: one of my favorite moments in this episode. And I
- 19:57Speaker 1: was watching this with my wife and I laughed really
- 19:59Speaker 1: hard and so did she. Johnny C Doctor Cox to Jordan,
- 20:05Speaker 1: when was the last time we kissed? Jordan? About a
- 20:08Speaker 1: month ago, Doctor Cox. When was the last time we
- 20:13Speaker 1: had sex? Jordan? Yesterday? If you are married, you can
- 20:22Speaker 1: you know all about this man. You don't have to
- 20:25Speaker 1: kiss to have sex. Oh God, your wife every day down.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Oh no, dude, Me and my wife kiss all the time.
- 20:33Speaker 1: But when having sex, sometimes we don't kiss at all.
- 20:36Speaker 1: When happens, what do you do? Sometimes? Sometimes it's not
- 20:41Speaker 1: even necessary. Sometimes it's sometimes it's bam, shower, good night. Okay,
- 20:49Speaker 1: it sounds great. Marriage is awesome, dude. Listen, I'm gonna
- 20:52Speaker 1: tell you something right now. You can you can hate
- 20:54Speaker 1: on that all you want to, but that ship is fire. Okay,
- 21:00Speaker 1: just putting it out there. Okay, what about when we
- 21:03Speaker 1: switch chairs because we're JD and Turk are so boring
- 21:05Speaker 1: that they don't want to do anything, and they they're
- 21:09Speaker 1: big plans for the night, are gonna switch that one
- 21:13Speaker 1: of them is on the couch and one of them
- 21:14Speaker 1: on a chair, and then when I get into the chair,
- 21:17Speaker 1: I say, your ass indentation is so deep, it's like
- 21:19Speaker 1: I'm sitting in a giant inner tube. That felt the
- 21:24Speaker 1: most like us, I get because I have a big ass,
- 21:26Speaker 1: You're drunk in the trunk indented the chair. Yeah, I
- 21:29Speaker 1: get it. That felt the most like us, though, too.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Even the way you're looking at me when we're talking,
- 21:34Speaker 1: with the smirk on your face and YE like that.
- 21:37Speaker 1: That was very much like it is, like how funny
- 21:40Speaker 1: is it? Later when we cut back and we're playing
- 21:42Speaker 1: goldfish and you're asleep, and I go, do you have
- 21:44Speaker 1: any sevens? And you're asleep? And I look and I go,
- 21:47Speaker 1: You've got lots of That was one of the hardest
- 21:55Speaker 1: because that felt like very like us. I'd be like, oh,
- 21:57Speaker 1: you're sleeping, let me see, Oh you got Do you
- 22:00Speaker 1: remember that time I passed out on the couch while
- 22:02Speaker 1: you guys played poker? Yes? You dog? Do you remember that? Yeah?
- 22:10Speaker 1: I remember that you gotz I got woozy, all that
- 22:13Speaker 1: hypnotic you who is it? You build me somebody else? Anyway,
- 22:19Speaker 1: I don't I don't know. I just know that you
- 22:20Speaker 1: got woozy and he used to have a big rock
- 22:23Speaker 1: wiler and you were spooning the rock wilder and you
- 22:25Speaker 1: were out like a baby. Were sitting in your living
- 22:28Speaker 1: room playing poker while you snored. Well sort you and
- 22:32Speaker 1: the dog. Yeah, Um, John's in shape, dude. Johnny looks good.
- 22:37Speaker 1: He's running down riverside drives, screaming to the world that
- 22:41Speaker 1: he is not going to be a father again. Jordan
- 22:45Speaker 1: is not pregnant. It's blue. It's blue. Um. Yeah, he's very,
- 22:50Speaker 1: very stoked. So you can reverse your vest sect to me.
- 22:54Speaker 1: I don't know why you would do that. Let's say
- 22:58Speaker 1: a man's wife passes away and he would like and
- 23:04Speaker 1: then he falls in love years later again, and the
- 23:07Speaker 1: new wife would like to have children, and he wants
- 23:09Speaker 1: to make her dreams come true. I feel like there's
- 23:13Speaker 1: other ways to make dreams come of course, I'm just
- 23:15Speaker 1: saying I'm trying to think up a scenario. Do you
- 23:17Speaker 1: guys know any scenarios where someone would reverse their thing?
- 23:21Speaker 1: But it's doable. As my point, right, I think that's
- 23:24Speaker 1: you could change your mind. I'm saying, if you ever
- 23:26Speaker 1: decide to. Yeah, no, I don't think I will. Um,
- 23:30Speaker 1: let's say Casey leaves you and you and I move
- 23:33Speaker 1: in together, and I of course want my own children.
- 23:46Speaker 1: I wish everybody could see Donald's face right now. It's
- 23:49Speaker 1: a little bit like Steve Harvey's on Family Food. By
- 23:53Speaker 1: the way, should I reveal a little bit of more
- 23:55Speaker 1: intel about Family Food? Yea, Donald? Do you know this
- 23:58Speaker 1: intel that we are going up against Neil Flynn and
- 24:03Speaker 1: his uh improv group? Wow? That sort of takes the
- 24:08Speaker 1: heat out of my announcement. Know what's going on that? Well,
- 24:16Speaker 1: I don't really know how to. I don't know how
- 24:18Speaker 1: much of an alley oop that was. It was more
- 24:20Speaker 1: like you, um, Donald, h Yeah, we're going to be
- 24:33Speaker 1: playing Neil Flynn and his improv group. Daniel, you can
- 24:38Speaker 1: save the time it would take you to put in
- 24:40Speaker 1: a drum roll because Donald, But no, it's gonna I
- 24:46Speaker 1: don't have more details other than um. As we know,
- 24:49Speaker 1: Neil is an amazing improv comedian and he's got a
- 24:52Speaker 1: troop group whatever you call it, that he works with,
- 24:55Speaker 1: and as I understand, they are going to be our
- 24:58Speaker 1: opponents for Family Food. That's amazing. So we know it's
- 25:02Speaker 1: gonna be we know it's gonna be funny and for
- 25:05Speaker 1: the fans. You not only have the four of us
- 25:07Speaker 1: and Bill on one team, but you've got the Neil
- 25:11Speaker 1: Flynn and his hilarious posse on the other, so we
- 25:14Speaker 1: know we're gonna laugh our asses off. Yes, I'm a
- 25:17Speaker 1: little worried about winning now, though, because Neil is super smart.
- 25:20Speaker 1: He's very smart. He was, he's He's one of those
- 25:22Speaker 1: guys that just like the New York Times crossword puzzles,
- 25:25Speaker 1: and I just worry now. I don't know how much
- 25:27Speaker 1: that translates to your ability to guess what one hundred
- 25:30Speaker 1: random people said to a question. But he is quick,
- 25:33Speaker 1: witted and smart. I'm concerned about winning. It's the wit
- 25:36Speaker 1: that that worries me, because you have to be fast
- 25:38Speaker 1: with the wit. I'm scared that I'm gonna get up
- 25:40Speaker 1: there and they'll be like, we asked a hundred people,
- 25:44Speaker 1: do you use a washcloth in the shower? Oh? Yeah,
- 25:48Speaker 1: And you're gonna have to be like, we're African Americans.
- 25:53Speaker 1: I don't think you're allowed to ask qualifying questions. Excuse
- 25:56Speaker 1: me one second, Steve, were those Caucasian? Oh my god,
- 26:05Speaker 1: I'm so excited for this. It's gonna be blast, It's
- 26:08Speaker 1: gonna be a blast. I love that. When I heard
- 26:11Speaker 1: that it was Neil, I was My first reaction was like,
- 26:13Speaker 1: oh my god, that will be hilarious. The fans will
- 26:15Speaker 1: love it. So dope. And then I was like, oh,
- 26:17Speaker 1: I can fucking lose. He's so smart, come on now, sorry, sorry,
- 26:21Speaker 1: I'm just say I was like, I'm smart too. You
- 26:24Speaker 1: can't answer every question just saying the competition got as
- 26:28Speaker 1: stiff as Donald's dogs penis. Oh my gosh, let's go
- 26:31Speaker 1: to break on that note. We will go to break.
- 26:33Speaker 1: We will be right back. We will be right back,
- 26:36Speaker 1: thank you. And so Colin Farrell. I mean, the gag
- 26:48Speaker 1: of this episode basically is like everyone is so attracted
- 26:52Speaker 1: to Colin Farrell that his looks and charm reek havoc
- 26:55Speaker 1: across the hospital. Yes, so much so that my wife
- 26:59Speaker 1: is willing to sheet on me. I sorry, so much
- 27:02Speaker 1: so that Turk's wife is willing to cheat on him
- 27:06Speaker 1: in front of his face. Yes, and we catch her
- 27:08Speaker 1: and we're both like baby, yeah, it's very funny. M
- 27:14Speaker 1: Colin was a lot of fun I remember I think
- 27:16Speaker 1: he was only there one day, right, yeah, one one,
- 27:20Speaker 1: one or two days something like that, But he was
- 27:22Speaker 1: in was one I remember they I think we got
- 27:24Speaker 1: him and he was and it was he was super
- 27:26Speaker 1: cool and I think he was like on the fence
- 27:30Speaker 1: and we were like and then then we were like,
- 27:32Speaker 1: you know, you could give and the network was going
- 27:34Speaker 1: to write him a juicy check and everyone was like,
- 27:35Speaker 1: you know, you could give this to your favorite charity,
- 27:37Speaker 1: and he was like okay, okay, and so he gave
- 27:40Speaker 1: the dope check they wrote him to his favorite charity.
- 27:42Speaker 1: I remember thinking that was super sweet and menshi of him,
- 27:47Speaker 1: and he was just great. But I remember like, just
- 27:50Speaker 1: like in the show, just like in the show, the
- 27:54Speaker 1: entire crew was all giddy. I was so I was
- 27:57Speaker 1: so I wrote that down. I was so excited that
- 28:00Speaker 1: he was on the show. I think, I think this
- 28:03Speaker 1: is the most I ever fanned out for someone when
- 28:06Speaker 1: they came on the show, other than Billy d william
- 28:08Speaker 1: I was other than Billy d Williams, Like this is
- 28:12Speaker 1: this is like and I don't know what it is
- 28:14Speaker 1: about this guy. Man, he just has a charisma about
- 28:17Speaker 1: him that is very uh, it's charming and you're charmed
- 28:21Speaker 1: easily by him. Um, well, he's got everything. He's not
- 28:24Speaker 1: only is he very handsome, but he's just he just
- 28:27Speaker 1: exudes charm and confidence. And you know, if you're attracted
- 28:32Speaker 1: to men, you want to sleep with him. If you're not,
- 28:34Speaker 1: you want to be his buddy. He's just um, he's
- 28:37Speaker 1: just one of those guys, you know. Yeah, man, and
- 28:40Speaker 1: and and good on Bill for writing a a you
- 28:43Speaker 1: know this part for him. Now I'm gonna say this,
- 28:46Speaker 1: I didn't. This is when I started not reading the
- 28:49Speaker 1: scripts because I didn't understand when we were shooting this.
- 28:55Speaker 1: I remember shooting and being like, I don't understand what
- 28:57Speaker 1: the fuck is going on? And and so we're watching
- 29:01Speaker 1: it now and it finally hit me, Oh shit, he's
- 29:04Speaker 1: the dude that knocked out the guy at the bar, right,
- 29:07Speaker 1: but he doesn't reveal that until the end of the
- 29:09Speaker 1: Oh you didn't. You didn't remember because you never read
- 29:11Speaker 1: this episode. I had never read think I think, I mean,
- 29:13Speaker 1: let's be honest, let's keep it real. As you say,
- 29:16Speaker 1: I don't think you were reading the scripts for many
- 29:18Speaker 1: seasons thus far. This is no, this is when it started.
- 29:21Speaker 1: This is around the time it started, so before season four,
- 29:24Speaker 1: you took the time to actually read. When I got
- 29:26Speaker 1: divorced is when I started getting divorced and everything was
- 29:29Speaker 1: when I started not necessarily focusing on the scripts anymore
- 29:34Speaker 1: and started focusing on yeah, me and all of that stuff. Um,
- 29:40Speaker 1: and so that's that's honestly what happened. Um, so that
- 29:45Speaker 1: I know that, it was about three seasons in. I
- 29:48Speaker 1: just remember whispering to you. Sometimes I'm like, Oh, this
- 29:51Speaker 1: is what's happening. This is why we're this is what's
- 29:53Speaker 1: going on, and thank you ye looking out, good looking out,
- 29:57Speaker 1: good looking out. Yeah. Sometimes it'll be like, don't gonna
- 29:59Speaker 1: be like, why are we standing up this table. I'm like, oh,
- 30:01Speaker 1: because what happened in the previous scene. He's like all right, thanks, yeah,
- 30:06Speaker 1: but this is around the time that started happening. Um. Well.
- 30:10Speaker 1: This episode has one of the greatest moments in The
- 30:12Speaker 1: Scrub's history, when JD fantasizes about an Irish brother and
- 30:18Speaker 1: we see Donald's becoming a lepre con saying top of
- 30:21Speaker 1: the mizzle to you, my lizzles, Yes, lizzles, my lads, oh,
- 30:27Speaker 1: my lads. Yeah, up with the mizzle to you my lizzles. Yeah,
- 30:32Speaker 1: I was trying to do you remember doing that, Yeah, dude,
- 30:35Speaker 1: I remember this. I remember this. When you remember I
- 30:39Speaker 1: remember it, well, I didn't remember know that I forgot
- 30:41Speaker 1: that it was the Colin episode. How appropriate that we're
- 30:45Speaker 1: doing this right before? Saint Patrick's right, it's tomorrow, although
- 30:49Speaker 1: although this will air on when Friday, So, but we are,
- 30:52Speaker 1: we are recording this on the sixteenth. Um, so yes, Donald,
- 30:55Speaker 1: look at how I'm appropriate? Right? Yeah, well we plan that,
- 30:58Speaker 1: we plan. That's how it goes. That's how it goes. Oh, Joel,
- 31:00Speaker 1: did you settle in on the episode we're going to
- 31:02Speaker 1: be doing for the live show? Yeah? My quarantine? How appropriate? Again?
- 31:07Speaker 1: What my quarantine? Everybody, let's look that up on my
- 31:12Speaker 1: cheat sheet here. My quarantine is episode four sixteen, So
- 31:19Speaker 1: if you're going to be joining us for the live show,
- 31:22Speaker 1: you definitely want to watch for sixteen. My Quarantine, directed
- 31:26Speaker 1: by Michael Spiller. JD suspects a patient has stars and
- 31:31Speaker 1: gets the staff quarantine in the hospital during his first
- 31:34Speaker 1: date with Kylie. You remember Christy Faris who plays Kylie
- 31:39Speaker 1: and Turk discovers Carla and doctor Cox used to date.
- 31:43Speaker 1: Done done, knew that was coming. And Tara Reid's back
- 31:46Speaker 1: as Danny Sullivan. I remember she's the one who says
- 31:48Speaker 1: quarantines anyone. Yes. When the quarantine first happened. People were
- 31:53Speaker 1: sending me that that meme of Tara Reid saying quarantines. Anyway,
- 31:59Speaker 1: So if you're joining us for the live show, that's
- 32:01Speaker 1: the episode that we will be discussing. Oh my gosh,
- 32:06Speaker 1: it's gonna be so much fun. I'm starting to like,
- 32:08Speaker 1: I think I should start watching now so I could
- 32:10Speaker 1: get this rap right. Yeah, I really need you. The
- 32:13Speaker 1: audience is really needing you to not phone that one in.
- 32:17Speaker 1: I have a feeling they're asking for the real deal
- 32:20Speaker 1: holy Field. So I'm gonna see what I can do. Yeah,
- 32:22Speaker 1: you gotta bring it. You really set the bar high.
- 32:24Speaker 1: And um, I'm actually excited slash nervous about the big
- 32:28Speaker 1: live show. IM I'm putting together. We're gonna have a
- 32:32Speaker 1: rehearsal Joel right where we just go over some of
- 32:34Speaker 1: the tech stuff. We've got a bunch of surprises. We've
- 32:37Speaker 1: got a theme song for um for Joel's dating segment
- 32:43Speaker 1: that we're gonna debut. We do who wrote it? A fan? Yeah,
- 32:49Speaker 1: a fan wrote it and we it was great and
- 32:51Speaker 1: we're gonna use it. So we got his permission, right, Yes,
- 32:54Speaker 1: he is green. It's good. I'm sure if he wrote
- 32:57Speaker 1: a song about Joel dating, and he would want to
- 33:00Speaker 1: be heard, but I just want to make sure we
- 33:01Speaker 1: have his permission. Yes, um, we have a musical guest surprise.
- 33:06Speaker 1: I think I know who it is. It's not Josh Raden,
- 33:10Speaker 1: but don't tell one. I do, but Josh Rayden does.
- 33:14Speaker 1: And we should end today's episode with his beautiful song Today,
- 33:17Speaker 1: which ends this episode. He did a he does a
- 33:20Speaker 1: great job every time he's on this show. Yes, but
- 33:23Speaker 1: he does sitch sweet. He got really upset when I
- 33:25Speaker 1: told him that he switches to his his radio voice.
- 33:28Speaker 1: He was in defense. He got what do you say?
- 33:32Speaker 1: He was like, I do not, and I was like, yes,
- 33:34Speaker 1: you do. You switch to a sort of soft time.
- 33:37Speaker 1: You get real soft on the mic when you're freaking
- 33:39Speaker 1: car It's his public voice. Even on his Instagram stories
- 33:43Speaker 1: he switches to like heaywise, it's Josh here? Fuck? Is
- 33:49Speaker 1: this like public radio DJ? I can't I can't wait
- 33:53Speaker 1: to get my hands on your sweaty balls. Yes. The
- 33:56Speaker 1: second I'm speaking in front of a lot of people,
- 33:58Speaker 1: I I switched to this sort of kind voice. It's
- 34:03Speaker 1: just kindness dripping out of my ears. I think I'll
- 34:05Speaker 1: put a tree over here by the window. Yes, then maybe,
- 34:10Speaker 1: oh you're doing Bob Ross. Yeah, maybe you're right. It's
- 34:12Speaker 1: a little bob rossy. It is a little Bob Ross.
- 34:15Speaker 1: You never sing a song for you guys, And it's
- 34:16Speaker 1: gonna be a boy, a little squirrel, a little happy squirrel.
- 34:23Speaker 1: I never knew how to describe it. That's what it is.
- 34:25Speaker 1: It's his, it's his bob Ross stick. Yeah. Can you
- 34:28Speaker 1: imagine Bob Ross is like shooting doing his painting and
- 34:30Speaker 1: they're like, and that's a cut Bob. He's like, you
- 34:33Speaker 1: motherfucker's This light was in my face the whole time.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Please God see the fucking squirrel. Please God, No, God
- 34:40Speaker 1: rest his soul, please God. No. All right, I grew up.
- 34:44Speaker 1: You grew up on him, obviously. Did you ever try
- 34:46Speaker 1: to paint like him? Anybody? No? No, But I tried it.
- 34:51Speaker 1: I tried it. Yeah. I tried a couple of times.
- 34:54Speaker 1: And that ship doesn't work. First of all, that paint
- 34:55Speaker 1: is expensive, so you can't get that. So I tried
- 34:57Speaker 1: to do it with like pencils. It it doesn't work.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Like I I could do the birds. The birds were easy.
- 35:03Speaker 1: He makes it look so easy, but like he's like,
- 35:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna put a window here? How he gonna put
- 35:08Speaker 1: a window on that? Also, doesn't he use he doesn't
- 35:11Speaker 1: use brushes? I mean he used buster. Doesn't he use
- 35:13Speaker 1: a lot of like blades? Yeah? It skills unmatched. That
- 35:18Speaker 1: was so soothing as a as a kid, so soon
- 35:20Speaker 1: I loved it. It was it was like it was
- 35:22Speaker 1: like Josh Rayden talking to you on a podcast, so relaxing.
- 35:27Speaker 1: So the janitor is busting chops. That's his whole thing,
- 35:30Speaker 1: busting chop buston chop busting. Um, and he really is
- 35:35Speaker 1: enjoying fucking with everybody. Like when Sarah and Judy are
- 35:38Speaker 1: both lying to get out of their hangout they planned,
- 35:41Speaker 1: He's like calling them out, sorry, chop busting. It's same thing.
- 35:45Speaker 1: He does the same thing to doctor Cox when doctor Cox. Uh,
- 35:48Speaker 1: when doctor Cox comes Wait when doctor Cox, like Kelso,
- 35:55Speaker 1: Kelso bust Cox with the lie on the vasectomy? Right? Um?
- 36:01Speaker 1: Is it that or the fishing because because Cox first
- 36:04Speaker 1: says that he's going that he caught a marlin, he
- 36:07Speaker 1: went fishing when instead of saying the ot a vasectomy, right,
- 36:10Speaker 1: But that's that's the janitor. And then and then down
- 36:13Speaker 1: in the lobby Cox Kelso says I know that limp, right,
- 36:18Speaker 1: that's a vasect of you got a vsector me. He lied, right,
- 36:21Speaker 1: Cox lies to Carla, and the janitor reveals that something changed,
- 36:26Speaker 1: that there was something. Yeah, now there's another clue that
- 36:28Speaker 1: we're in Los Angeles here, even though Bill made great
- 36:31Speaker 1: pains to say that we are anywhere USA and the clue.
- 36:36Speaker 1: But he claims that he went fishing in San Diego, UM,
- 36:40Speaker 1: which would be a relatively nearby place to go fishing.
- 36:44Speaker 1: But the hours that it took him to get to
- 36:47Speaker 1: San Diego seemed a little long. Just put it out
- 36:51Speaker 1: there compared to coming from I'm just saying, it's not
- 36:55Speaker 1: in the Midwest, it's not on the East Coast. I
- 36:57Speaker 1: mean went, he went on a weekend trip to San Diego.
- 37:00Speaker 1: But to get to San Diego it only takes two
- 37:01Speaker 1: hours from Los Angeles. It was something like a sick
- 37:03Speaker 1: don't I don't recall with the time, just saying, I'm
- 37:06Speaker 1: just saying, if you're gonna go deep cut, let's go
- 37:08Speaker 1: deep cut. I'm just saying. Occasionally, there are little clues
- 37:11Speaker 1: that the show takes place in Los Angeles, much to
- 37:13Speaker 1: Bill's chagrin. We also, of course have the famous one
- 37:18Speaker 1: that is Sarah takes a train to Sea World. I
- 37:24Speaker 1: don't even know if there is a train to San Diego.
- 37:26Speaker 1: Is there? Yeah, absolutely there is. I was was that
- 37:30Speaker 1: Was that a goal of the show for it to
- 37:32Speaker 1: be anywhere USA? Yes? At first it was. Bill was
- 37:35Speaker 1: painting out palm trees and he was doing anything he
- 37:38Speaker 1: wanted it to feel like any city USA. There's never
- 37:41Speaker 1: it's never. It's never specifically said, but every once in
- 37:44Speaker 1: a while you'll see a palm tree, or every once
- 37:46Speaker 1: in a while there'll be a thing like someone took
- 37:47Speaker 1: the train to see World a night. Doctor Cox went
- 37:50Speaker 1: fishing for the weekend in San Diego. And that's why
- 37:52Speaker 1: it was a big deal when several episodes ago, when
- 37:55Speaker 1: you do the final scene when you guys are eating
- 37:57Speaker 1: dinner on like the balcony, you can see like downtown
- 37:59Speaker 1: out you can see Santa Monica pretty clearly, and people
- 38:02Speaker 1: were like, I think that's Santa Monica right there. Yeah.
- 38:04Speaker 1: I mean, now that you rewatch it, there's clues like
- 38:07Speaker 1: that it's la right. I mean, you can't hide it
- 38:09Speaker 1: if you film it there, you know it's New York.
- 38:14Speaker 1: I think in the beginning he was really trying to
- 38:16Speaker 1: keep it out of there. Um, oh so that. I
- 38:20Speaker 1: laughed out loud. When we make him do the frosted
- 38:23Speaker 1: lucky charms, they're magically delicious, and I go, I told
- 38:26Speaker 1: you he was irish. He's irish. And then you go, yeah,
- 38:32Speaker 1: like that, we're such fucking idiots. That's our tests for
- 38:34Speaker 1: if someone's truly irish. If you right, if you know
- 38:39Speaker 1: the order of the lucky charms, yeah, such idiots were like, no,
- 38:43Speaker 1: that's like their favorite thing. They know the lucky charms, marshmallows,
- 38:48Speaker 1: blue stars, yellow moons, green clovers. And then I go
- 38:52Speaker 1: and then I go, we live together, not not live together?
- 38:55Speaker 1: And I do like the ass slapt like that was
- 38:58Speaker 1: the first time together. Right the case he goes, oh
- 39:01Speaker 1: my god, why because I'm doing a gesture a gesture.
- 39:08Speaker 1: And then when you did the Nipper one, she was like,
- 39:10Speaker 1: oh my god, I know that was funny, though, didn't
- 39:12Speaker 1: you laugh at the night? I laughed. I laughed out loud.
- 39:15Speaker 1: There were a lot of inappropriate moments that I laughed
- 39:17Speaker 1: out loud. Well, there's a lot of um bisexuality going
- 39:22Speaker 1: on in this episode. The Todd is fully standing with
- 39:25Speaker 1: all the women. Um really appreciate. Todd really livid, and
- 39:29Speaker 1: he says, the Todd appreciates hot. Oh, he goes, the
- 39:32Speaker 1: Todd appreciate the Todd appreciates hot regardless of gender. Yeah,
- 39:37Speaker 1: all the women are pissed that the j D and
- 39:40Speaker 1: Turk had arrested and called the cops. And they're all
- 39:44Speaker 1: lined up and there's Todd in the middle. Let's cat
- 39:48Speaker 1: fight before we get intent. Aren't they supposed to do that?
- 39:50Speaker 1: Aren't they supposed to isn't it? They're both as doctors too.
- 39:55Speaker 1: If there's a felony, if something happens, aren't they like,
- 39:57Speaker 1: how do you let that go? I guess technically that's
- 40:00Speaker 1: what the rule is that if we find out that
- 40:03Speaker 1: who hurt this man who's clearly he's in the ICU
- 40:05Speaker 1: for God's sakes, Um, we would need to tell the authorities.
- 40:09Speaker 1: He's in the ICU unconscious for hours too. Yeah on
- 40:14Speaker 1: an IV right, he's not in good shape at all,
- 40:20Speaker 1: and um and and and they let it. And when
- 40:22Speaker 1: they find out, there's like this moment of what should
- 40:26Speaker 1: we do even though JD's already called the cops, and
- 40:30Speaker 1: he blames it on Turk, which is fucked up. Dude,
- 40:32Speaker 1: I'm not gonna lie. We got a call from Christopher
- 40:35Speaker 1: Turk when the cops show up. Yeah, because I used
- 40:38Speaker 1: your name, because I said it's easier, it's easier just
- 40:41Speaker 1: to hear on the phone. Bullshit. I know he just
- 40:45Speaker 1: didn't want to call the cops. He blames on you.
- 40:47Speaker 1: Ye blames it on Turk. The cat um, the uh,
- 40:53Speaker 1: the cat fight was was intense. I didn't know that
- 40:56Speaker 1: Carla and Elliott got into a all out cat fight
- 41:00Speaker 1: one episode. I had forgotten about that also, and it
- 41:04Speaker 1: was very funny when Todd pauses him, he then he
- 41:08Speaker 1: puts the chair down and see everyone thinks. Everyone think
- 41:13Speaker 1: he's gonna break it up, but he just wants the
- 41:15Speaker 1: front ro seat right. Because everybody's betting all that the
- 41:18Speaker 1: nursesn't cheering on, the doctor isn't cheering on. Everybody's been
- 41:22Speaker 1: waiting for this. I wonder if that happens in hospitals. No,
- 41:26Speaker 1: I don't think that there's all out fist fights amongst
- 41:29Speaker 1: the staff in hospitals. I bet you there. I bet
- 41:32Speaker 1: you it's happened before. If it's happening, sure, but then
- 41:34Speaker 1: the people probably get fired. They're not like going back
- 41:36Speaker 1: to work and Okay, if it's happened, I don't think
- 41:39Speaker 1: you're allowed to have a big fight. If you've had
- 41:42Speaker 1: like a correct Cobra kai type fight in your hospital,
- 41:49Speaker 1: please write in, yeah, we know when you're bullshitting. Um.
- 41:53Speaker 1: Elliott knows how to fight because her parents haven't orchard
- 41:58Speaker 1: and um and she was I'm simply fighting off apple thieves.
- 42:03Speaker 1: That's how Elliott knows how to fight. Is that she was.
- 42:07Speaker 1: I guess her parents seemed to put her in charge
- 42:10Speaker 1: of security for the orchard. Yeah, at a very young age.
- 42:14Speaker 1: To at a very young age and a very young Yeah.
- 42:17Speaker 1: I just want to talk about something that we haven't
- 42:19Speaker 1: talked about the whole show. Jerry, the dead guy. Ye
- 42:23Speaker 1: had me laughing the whole episode. Man, Why why didn't
- 42:27Speaker 1: he come back? First of all, how the hell is
- 42:29Speaker 1: this dude in the I see you? Dude? How is
- 42:31Speaker 1: he walking around? I see you? Why? I don't know,
- 42:34Speaker 1: no one, no one's keeping him out. He's got walking
- 42:36Speaker 1: corpse syndrome, which I really wonder if that's a real thing.
- 42:39Speaker 1: I mean, I would imagine it is, since since we
- 42:41Speaker 1: base our stories on real things. But he believes he's
- 42:45Speaker 1: dead and he's walking around thinking he's a ghost, and
- 42:47Speaker 1: everyone's like, Jerry not dead. Yeah, but every monologue he
- 42:51Speaker 1: does is from the ghost perspective of being dead, though
- 42:55Speaker 1: it's not like he's like except for when he talks
- 42:57Speaker 1: to Colin, where he's like, I'm dead and that the
- 42:58Speaker 1: two of them have a conversation. That would have been
- 43:00Speaker 1: a good recurring character. You're right, But everything else, Man,
- 43:04Speaker 1: was from the point of view of I've been dead
- 43:06Speaker 1: for a while and I'm haunting this hospital. Um yeah,
- 43:11Speaker 1: I mean yeah, how about how funny is it? Um?
- 43:14Speaker 1: When when we go back to the room and the
- 43:17Speaker 1: patient that Colin beat up wakes up and then I
- 43:20Speaker 1: scream and fall to the floor. That was funny. That
- 43:22Speaker 1: was very funny. You're like, oh, you think that's funny.
- 43:25Speaker 1: You think that's funny. You like scaring people. He's like, yeah,
- 43:27Speaker 1: oh yeah, well you're gonna die. Yeah yeah, So that's
- 43:32Speaker 1: so petty of j d Oh wait, I forgot to
- 43:34Speaker 1: mention earth thing. I laughed out loud when Colin goes, oh,
- 43:36Speaker 1: you guys gonna be tearing it up, and I, well,
- 43:39Speaker 1: it's it's less tearing and more more folding, gently folding.
- 43:47Speaker 1: That was funny. We had to be on the couch
- 43:49Speaker 1: playing playing go Fish. No, but we did it at
- 43:53Speaker 1: the bar at the end. Yeah we did, Yeah we did.
- 43:56Speaker 1: They did it at the bar. I think we should
- 43:58Speaker 1: go to break. We gotta guess. Okay, guest is here
- 44:00Speaker 1: from a break, will be right back, and we're bad.
- 44:09Speaker 1: All right, let's invite the caller in Daniel always exciting
- 44:13Speaker 1: to have a guest the Hello to Demetrius Daniels. Demitrius Daniel.
- 44:30Speaker 1: Oh my god, they've done latch? Is that a bat suit?
- 44:34Speaker 1: They've done latched? Demitrius Daniel is welcome to get program.
- 44:38Speaker 1: Seems like you might be in a full bat suit.
- 44:41Speaker 1: Please explain what's going on. Oh my god, are you
- 44:46Speaker 1: a cost player? I'm guessing yes, uh really just as Batman.
- 44:51Speaker 1: Batman's my go to plus. I bought the suit, so
- 44:55Speaker 1: this is the costume for the next few years. You look,
- 44:59Speaker 1: you're looking incredible and it looks like a really perfect
- 45:02Speaker 1: I mean, it looks like the suit. Where did you
- 45:04Speaker 1: buy that from? Um online? It's called UD Replicas. They
- 45:08Speaker 1: do really good work. Is it bulletproof? Um? So? It's uh,
- 45:15Speaker 1: it is made out of keV larn, but it's originally
- 45:17Speaker 1: a a motorcycle suit. So it is made out of
- 45:21Speaker 1: keV larn I understand this. Have you had dreams of
- 45:26Speaker 1: putting the mask on and hitting the streets as a vigilante.
- 45:31Speaker 1: I do have a bulletproof mask. I will say, Oh
- 45:35Speaker 1: my gosh, we have a real life vision. But you
- 45:38Speaker 1: have not. You have not hit the stream. I never
- 45:40Speaker 1: heard I never even heard of a bulletproof mask. I
- 45:44Speaker 1: didn't know that was the thing. I want one just
- 45:45Speaker 1: for my regular life, probably the Ethan. Now. Wow, So wait, Demetrius,
- 45:52Speaker 1: do you go to uh? I mean obviously not now,
- 45:55Speaker 1: but when the world opens up? Will you go to
- 45:57Speaker 1: UM comic cons and stuff like that, or events like
- 45:59Speaker 1: what do you do with a dope ass batman suit?
- 46:02Speaker 1: So the original plan is I got this UM I
- 46:07Speaker 1: think like late twenty nine, and at the time I
- 46:11Speaker 1: was planning to go to like all the comic cons
- 46:13Speaker 1: and whatnot, And then twenty came and so you just
- 46:17Speaker 1: right around the house. You gotta get the mileage, man,
- 46:22Speaker 1: get that mileage. Well, I'm sure Joel is probably just
- 46:27Speaker 1: as excited as you at the possibility of comic CON's
- 46:31Speaker 1: returning sometimes soon. I think we're all really excited about it.
- 46:36Speaker 1: Speaking of Demetrius, are you excited for the Snyder cut?
- 46:42Speaker 1: Oh god, yes, I'm I'm ready for it. I can
- 46:47Speaker 1: tell you're ready for it. Yeah, as I'm watching it
- 46:50Speaker 1: right on, Right on that, Demetrius. Have you always been
- 46:53Speaker 1: into Batman? Has you always been your favorite superhero? Yes? Yeah,
- 46:57Speaker 1: right on. It's it's that that you know idea of
- 47:02Speaker 1: you know, he goes against all these superheroes, but like
- 47:05Speaker 1: human will will triumph over anything. That's what's up. Who's
- 47:09Speaker 1: the lovely young lady next to you? Man? This beautiful?
- 47:15Speaker 1: This is my best friend future wife? Probably. Yeah, Well,
- 47:22Speaker 1: there's a lot that I have to get done first
- 47:24Speaker 1: before all of that. What do you mean we'll get
- 47:28Speaker 1: to that life? Okay? Now does she cause players Alfred?
- 47:34Speaker 1: How does it work out between you two? No? No,
- 47:37Speaker 1: but I did have to help him get the suit on.
- 47:40Speaker 1: So all right, sir, do you have a question for us? Um? Yes,
- 47:49Speaker 1: So in my musical, during the like last song when
- 47:54Speaker 1: the patient is like going under, you know, we hear
- 47:58Speaker 1: the song You're going to be Okay, that's what's gonna happen.
- 48:01Speaker 1: But then we hear j D say are saying we hope,
- 48:06Speaker 1: and so I'm just like, is that the last thing
- 48:09Speaker 1: she heard before she went your surgery. I don't know
- 48:13Speaker 1: that she heard it. I think it was trying to
- 48:17Speaker 1: say the hospital is optimistic that they're gonna that they're
- 48:21Speaker 1: gonna be able to operate on this tumor um, but
- 48:26Speaker 1: the chances of her surviving it are, you know, are
- 48:32Speaker 1: up in air. It's a fifty fifty. Oh yeah. We're
- 48:34Speaker 1: trying to comfort her, and I think, you're you're gonna
- 48:36Speaker 1: be okay, you just like a real doctor would, You're
- 48:37Speaker 1: gonna be okay, You're gonna do great. And then I
- 48:39Speaker 1: think my understanding it was once she's unconscious, like you know,
- 48:43Speaker 1: to each other, we're like, we hope you know, like
- 48:45Speaker 1: you never one one never knows, of course, but that's
- 48:49Speaker 1: how I like, That's how I originally took it. But
- 48:51Speaker 1: the fact that it was still being sung and she
- 48:53Speaker 1: could only hear and song, I was like, did she well,
- 48:56Speaker 1: she did hear it, because everybody because she did hear it,
- 48:59Speaker 1: because everybody goes, yeah, wow, get out of a weird
- 49:05Speaker 1: way to end that. I'm gonna tell you you just
- 49:09Speaker 1: reminded me that I was thinking of the song. Everything
- 49:12Speaker 1: comes down to pooh, because I have this nutritionist, and
- 49:15Speaker 1: she said, we got to check the pooh, and um,
- 49:19Speaker 1: I had never had my pooh checks. But you have
- 49:22Speaker 1: to send you know, let's have you seen those commercials.
- 49:24Speaker 1: We're like yeah, every time I see those commercials, I'm like, like,
- 49:28Speaker 1: I'm gonna fucking poop in a box and send it
- 49:31Speaker 1: in the mail. Cut to me pooping in a box
- 49:33Speaker 1: and sending You don't poop in a box, You wipe
- 49:36Speaker 1: your button, you send the tissues. So I know I
- 49:38Speaker 1: did the whole thing. No, it's a little scooter is
- 49:40Speaker 1: a little gross, little plastic sport and it is the
- 49:44Speaker 1: grossest thing. I'm not ready. I'm not ready for changing
- 49:47Speaker 1: diapers because I had to basically changed my own diaper,
- 49:51Speaker 1: and and then and then my every my friends were
- 49:54Speaker 1: asking me about it. I was like, well, here's what
- 49:56Speaker 1: I know. Um check the pooh. You gotta check the pooh,
- 50:03Speaker 1: whether it's a touch of the flu. I'd like to
- 50:06Speaker 1: move on. Please, won't you pick us off a side
- 50:09Speaker 1: clue number two. If there's no no, if there's no breeze, please,
- 50:17Speaker 1: Everything comes down to do do do do do do anyway,
- 50:27Speaker 1: So my poo is somewhere via FedEx above the skies
- 50:30Speaker 1: right now, I hope do who is my poo is
- 50:33Speaker 1: going on an adventure more than right now that's true,
- 50:38Speaker 1: my plo is going on a vacation somewhere. Do you
- 50:41Speaker 1: remember what the original line was? Like a coral or
- 50:45Speaker 1: a letter JA? As long as it's a yes, they
- 50:49Speaker 1: made us cut. They made us cut of hum calling
- 50:53Speaker 1: the pooh a letter J or core when you when
- 50:57Speaker 1: you when you when you look at this, that made
- 51:00Speaker 1: it onto scrubs, like even now we're talking about how
- 51:03Speaker 1: the ship that's in this episode, and then then you
- 51:06Speaker 1: like let things that the network was finally like, no,
- 51:09Speaker 1: we're putting our foot down. You cannot describe a poop
- 51:11Speaker 1: as the letter J. Demetrius, do you have another question
- 51:19Speaker 1: for us, sir? I do um in all of your
- 51:23Speaker 1: careers a pride jack that you look back on, you're
- 51:31Speaker 1: like that was the idea or I probably shouldn't have
- 51:35Speaker 1: been that that you just forget? Do you know I've
- 51:40Speaker 1: I've made it a purpose now never to uh dis
- 51:44Speaker 1: any of the things that I did back in the days,
- 51:48Speaker 1: because I was a part of it and you know
- 51:50Speaker 1: it's in the past. But um, so there's really no
- 51:55Speaker 1: if anything, I would want people to go see my
- 51:58Speaker 1: missteps and everything like that. I think it's fun to
- 52:00Speaker 1: watch where people have made, you know, movies that aren't
- 52:05Speaker 1: necessarily as good as things that they're known for. I
- 52:11Speaker 1: think it's fun to find little uh projects that people
- 52:15Speaker 1: have worked on so uh. Instead of looking back and
- 52:17Speaker 1: saying I don't like that, I I encourage people to
- 52:20Speaker 1: go watch all of the movies that I've been in. Yeah.
- 52:23Speaker 1: I don't want to just anything specific, because when you
- 52:25Speaker 1: think about it, there there are people that worked on
- 52:27Speaker 1: it really hard, and it was their child. There their
- 52:31Speaker 1: their baby, and I don't want to I don't want
- 52:32Speaker 1: to hurt anyone's feelings, but I will say that, yeah,
- 52:35Speaker 1: there's things that didn't work out, and you can. All
- 52:36Speaker 1: you can do, like any thing in any career path,
- 52:40Speaker 1: is going why didn't that work? And you know what?
- 52:42Speaker 1: Do the money morning quarterbacking and going, well, what was
- 52:45Speaker 1: wrong about that? And then hopefully use that knowledge to
- 52:48Speaker 1: not fall into that trap again and go, you know what,
- 52:51Speaker 1: this set of ingredients led up to that thing not working.
- 52:54Speaker 1: Let me try and learn from that and do better
- 52:56Speaker 1: next time. But you're constantly constantly continuing to learn. You learn,
- 53:01Speaker 1: you learn, you see the same pattern often, like Zach
- 53:05Speaker 1: just said, it comes up again and again, especially in
- 53:08Speaker 1: this career, where and it's always tempting because it's either
- 53:11Speaker 1: there's something a part of it that is that is alluring,
- 53:17Speaker 1: you know what I mean, whether it be the money,
- 53:19Speaker 1: or whether it be something that you've always wanted to
- 53:21Speaker 1: be a part of, or whether it's really it's really interesting,
- 53:24Speaker 1: and then you take the job and you regret it
- 53:26Speaker 1: the whole time, and then after it comes out you're
- 53:28Speaker 1: embarrassed and you wanted to go away because I said
- 53:35Speaker 1: I would do the job from you know, I decided
- 53:40Speaker 1: a long time ago I'll put all the effort forward
- 53:42Speaker 1: even if I don't agree with how the well the
- 53:44Speaker 1: movie was going to be. I will still push forward
- 53:47Speaker 1: and help promote and do all of those things. A
- 53:49Speaker 1: lot of people don't do that. Yeah. Another thing I'll
- 53:52Speaker 1: say is that one mistake I have made repeatedly that
- 53:55Speaker 1: I don't want to make anymore is I go, I
- 53:58Speaker 1: like that person, I'm going to work with them, meaning
- 54:02Speaker 1: I'm basing it solely on liking them socially, which is
- 54:07Speaker 1: which is a mistake I encourage you not to to do,
- 54:10Speaker 1: because you can love someone and they can be incredible, um,
- 54:15Speaker 1: and they can be one of your best friends, but
- 54:17Speaker 1: they certainly might not be right for the assignment that
- 54:20Speaker 1: they are taking on, or they might not be the
- 54:22Speaker 1: right collaborator, or you guys might not collaborate well in
- 54:26Speaker 1: a creative environment. And I've caught myself making that mistake
- 54:29Speaker 1: many times, going I like so and so they're fun
- 54:33Speaker 1: to be around. Yeah, I'll do the project with them,
- 54:35Speaker 1: and then it turns out not to be great, and
- 54:37Speaker 1: you go, oh, yeah, because just because you like someone
- 54:39Speaker 1: and are friends with them doesn't mean that you're going
- 54:41Speaker 1: to collaborate well together. The signs are always there. But
- 54:44Speaker 1: the signs are always there. You just got to be,
- 54:47Speaker 1: you know, wake enough to recognize them. You have to
- 54:49Speaker 1: base your desire to collaborate with someone on their work
- 54:53Speaker 1: and on their reputation and what other people say about
- 54:57Speaker 1: them and what you know, other than just like, oh
- 55:00Speaker 1: they're cool. That's not smart. Okay, all right, sir, it's
- 55:05Speaker 1: time for Gotham's favorite segment. It's time to fix your life.
- 55:14Speaker 1: It's time to fix your life, sir. It's time to
- 55:17Speaker 1: fix your life. So would you like us to fix
- 55:20Speaker 1: your life? So? Um? So? Currently uh, I'm going through
- 55:29Speaker 1: a very contentious divorce right now. Um. And it's not
- 55:35Speaker 1: so much about the divorce, it's you know when you
- 55:44Speaker 1: were like when you when you have those memories pop up,
- 55:47Speaker 1: like there's that joy that's with him, but now there's
- 55:49Speaker 1: that pang of like hurt, like I'm never gonna experience
- 55:53Speaker 1: this again with that person. Um. And so it's more
- 55:57Speaker 1: so when like, what's the process that you all have
- 56:02Speaker 1: gone through to kind of like move on from that
- 56:06Speaker 1: hurt because I don't want it to be five years
- 56:08Speaker 1: from now with my new partner. Um. And she thinks
- 56:13Speaker 1: I'm still hung up on you know, my past. M hm.
- 56:18Speaker 1: How long were you marrying? Not long? Like I got
- 56:22Speaker 1: married and divorced in twenty twenty. Oh wow, I mean
- 56:26Speaker 1: that's a that's a story I want to hear from
- 56:28Speaker 1: for a whole another podcast. Um. And do you have
- 56:31Speaker 1: any children with that woman? No, it was a year
- 56:36Speaker 1: a house, but he has a baby in a year. Donald,
- 56:39Speaker 1: if they could have gotten married, gotten pregnant, had a
- 56:42Speaker 1: baby nine months later, then got divorced, it's ten months.
- 56:46Speaker 1: It's ten months. It's ten months. Still less than a year.
- 56:49Speaker 1: I still less than twelve. Well, let me do they
- 56:54Speaker 1: gotta they gotta get married first. No, you want to? Yeah,
- 57:00Speaker 1: don't do the freaking bong hit on this ship. You do,
- 57:02Speaker 1: you're the one that's freaking Yeah, he got the sound
- 57:07Speaker 1: pad working man, he's already mad about the bong sound effect.
- 57:15Speaker 1: I'm not mad about it, but you're using it for
- 57:16Speaker 1: like you're just using it just to use it. Man,
- 57:19Speaker 1: that was okay. I'm sorry. I'll save my bongb noise
- 57:21Speaker 1: for more apropriate times. Thank you to start talking about
- 57:26Speaker 1: your women. I didn't mean to hit deb. I didn't
- 57:28Speaker 1: mean to hit deb. I mean doing I mean to
- 57:31Speaker 1: hit this one? Do or do not? There is no try. Sorry, Okay,
- 57:36Speaker 1: I'm praying. I got I haven't labeled. I haven't labeled this.
- 57:40Speaker 1: I gotta label Okay, just give me a chance to label. Okay.
- 57:47Speaker 1: I do not like the sound board. I'm gonna I
- 57:50Speaker 1: do like that. You're trying to get into what is here?
- 58:00Speaker 1: Um demetrius um. Donald can speak to divorce more accurately
- 58:03Speaker 1: than the rest of us. Okay, I will say, of course,
- 58:07Speaker 1: we can relate to bad breakups, which I'm sure we've
- 58:11Speaker 1: all lived through, but divorce is something something different. Go ahead, Donald,
- 58:14Speaker 1: I don't know about you, but I was very happy
- 58:16Speaker 1: not to be married anymore at that time. It was
- 58:18Speaker 1: a stressful part in my life. It wasn't a it
- 58:21Speaker 1: wasn't a healthy relationship, even though we had children and stuff.
- 58:27Speaker 1: It was we were hurting each other by staying together
- 58:32Speaker 1: because neither one of us wanted to be there. So
- 58:35Speaker 1: when you say even though it turned out to be
- 58:38Speaker 1: an ugly divorce, because breakups usually are hard to do,
- 58:44Speaker 1: regardless if you want to or you don't want to,
- 58:46Speaker 1: it's always difficult. Yo, Look um, I was happy. So
- 58:53Speaker 1: I've never met anyone where I've said to them where
- 58:57Speaker 1: you know, you hear somebody says somebody always says, you know, so,
- 59:01Speaker 1: how are things with you? Oh I got a divorce
- 59:03Speaker 1: and they go, oh, I'm sorry to hear about that.
- 59:06Speaker 1: I've never heard anybody go, oh, thank you so much
- 59:08Speaker 1: because I'm in so much pain. If anything, I hear,
- 59:11Speaker 1: oh no, no, no, no, it was the right thing
- 59:14Speaker 1: to do. So if y'all aren't meant to be together,
- 59:17Speaker 1: then why are you worried about anything that came in
- 59:20Speaker 1: the past. It was a year in I mean, I
- 59:23Speaker 1: hate to get all loud with you and everything but
- 59:26Speaker 1: I mean, it's I don't see how this should damage
- 59:29Speaker 1: the relationship between the two of you because it ended
- 59:32Speaker 1: so quick, you know what I mean, happy you are?
- 59:34Speaker 1: I mean, and now you got someone, dude, you got
- 59:38Speaker 1: someone who's willing to sit next to you while you
- 59:40Speaker 1: wear a Batman suit. Bro, you know what I mean?
- 59:42Speaker 1: Like you you know, and then zip and zip the
- 59:45Speaker 1: ship up man like She's like, honey, don't forget your
- 59:48Speaker 1: head armor. Right, So like so like like this past relationship,
- 59:54Speaker 1: it's in the past, and you're going through it. And
- 59:56Speaker 1: I know, I know where you're coming from when you
- 59:58Speaker 1: say a lot of thing things are brought up, but
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: it's brought up because someone's trying to I'm not saying
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: it's her. I'm not saying it's you. But the divorce
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: is a difficult one. If it were easy divorce, if
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: it was just hey, sign here, I'll sign here, will
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: split fifty fifty piece out, you wouldn't have any of this, this,
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: this conversation wouldn't be anything. But because there's so much
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: drama in between on who owns this ship and that
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: ship's mind and this over here belongs to me, you're
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: going to experience this I'm just gonna say this, go
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: through it, and at the end of the day, you
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: have a very lovely woman next to you who seems
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: to really really like you, you know what I mean,
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: And focus on that. Focus on that, because what's going
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: on right now it's going to be negative. It's a breakup.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: That's how it goes. Focus on on the gratitude man,
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: and being grateful because there's so many people out there
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: going through a divorce who their biggest fear is, Oh,
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: I'm gonna be alone the rest of my life, or oh,
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: I fucking got to go back out there and try
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: dating again. And and you're so blessed that you have
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: this person that you're crazy about sitting right next to you,
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: and and and can be you're not only your best friend,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: but help you through this this really tricky time. Is
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: there anything that we don't You don't have to share
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: too much, but is there is there? Is there a
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: reason that it's so contentious? Why Why can't you guys
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: just go your show? I mean, I assume you of
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: a house to sell and everything is there? What's going
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: on making it difficult? She's declared bankruptcy, so there's like
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: a whole other layer, like we were I was finding
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: like I was going to give her the house. Um,
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: Like she just had to sign off on a bunch
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: of paperwork. She refused to sign it. Um, And like
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: there's a couch that was leased in my name and
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: there's just a bunch of stuff. And now that she's
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: declared bankruptcy, all of that debt that she's going to
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: be absolved from falls on me. Wow through wow goodness,
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: that's wow wow. Well the plus thought, you don't have children,
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: that's a really positive thing. Um. So again, try and
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: focus on the gratitude, Um, you have love in your life.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: You don't have to deal with the pains of navigating
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: this with children, the financial stuff. You know, I know,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: I'm sure anyone listening you can hear how smart you
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: are and and and you'll you'll be able to navigate it.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: Um And this too shall pass. As they say, it's
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: gonna not gonna be easy. Donald, this is can tell
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: you it doesn't. It doesn't. You know, you can't expect it.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: It's all gonna get cleaned up right away. But just
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: focus on the positives. Focus on you know, the new
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: relationship you have, Focus on your your badass Batman suit.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: Focus on but also you know, focus on not to
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: focus on what went wrong and everything like that. But
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: learn the lesson too, you know what I mean? There
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: are signs. I don't know how long you guys were
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: together before you decided to get married, but you know,
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: it took me a really long time for it took
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: a really long time for my I have to agree
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: to marry me. But I'm so happy she did because
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: now we're you know, we've been together for a really
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: long time and we have such an amazing family. And
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: you know, I didn't think after I got divorced, I
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: would ever experience this again, and so um, you know
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: you have to and and I rushed into a marriage
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: when I was younger, and so like, just realize what
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: went wrong. You have to recognize what went wrong so
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: you don't make that mistake again. Yeah, I agree with that.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: And also my you know, coming from a family of
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: psychologists and family therapists, I would really advise if you
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: can afford it, um Um, you can either do it
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: with with someone you find online or using one of
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: the apps that we advertise here to do some like
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: pre marriage counseling. Oh great, great, better health, better help.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: Um is perfect. And you know, my my stepmother is
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: always like people people study. My stepmother is a marriage counselor,
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: and she's like people study everything that they want to
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: do with their lives, and then they get into a
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: marriage that's a lifelong commitment and they don't have any
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: advice or any education in how to be a couple.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: And especially since you went through a quick marriage. Um,
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: I can hear my stepmother here saying, Um, you know,
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: take a higher a therapist or take a course. There's
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: a zillion things you can do. Just google like pre relation,
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: pre marriage counseling, and so it'll it'll help you guys,
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: create a framework for arguing, for how to disagree, how
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: to fight without being cruel, all that stuff that I
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: think since you've had this horrible experience, you can you
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: can go into this new awesome relationship with with a
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: bit of a tool chest. You know what I'm saying. Definitely, UM.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: I just I want to shout out to Joel, Um,
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: you are well though she didn't do anything. Whoa take
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: that didn't do anything? I'm sorry. My message like so
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: like early in the morning, and she was just so quick,
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: like hey, can you be on at too. I was like,
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: I need to go buy today. I got my I
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: got my Stemmi And then I got on the show
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: like it's been a really great day. Almost the first
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: part you got your what Oh they're coming? They are
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: they are they landing? Yeah? I got mine today. Congratulations.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: So it just goes electronically into your account. Ye yeah,
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: wow nice, that's great. Um, I'm very happy for you.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: I wanted to also say we are going to have
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: a very special episode coming up. I think it's next, right, Joel. Yeah,
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: just because we stumbled in the top of the doors, Um,
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: we're going to have my mom on the show. Um,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: and then we're gonna do an episode with Donald's mom.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: And we thought, not only could our moms come on
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: and talk about just like us as kids and and
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: how we got into performing and all that stuff. I
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: think that could be funny, but also each of our
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: moms is has a specialty. My mom is a therapist
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: and has written a new children's book. She's a psychologist,
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: and she's written a book that is meant to be
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: read to your children if you're going through divorce ages
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: six to ten. And so my mom looked out there
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: because this is her field, and she wasn't liking or
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: finding the right book to read the children when you're
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: going through a divorce, and so she wrote one. And
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: so we're going to be talking about that with my mom,
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: amongst many other things. So, by the way, if you
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: have a child, if you're going through divorce and you
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: have a child in the six to ten age range,
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: please reach out to our email and let you well know,
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: because we might just have you on as a guest.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: It is what's the main Gmail Jowell, scrubs I h
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: at gmail dot com. Scrubs iHeart at gmail dot com.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: If you're going through a divorce and dealing with having
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: to tell a child about it who's roughly six to ten,
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: put in the subject heading divorce so Joel can spot
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: it amongst all the other emails she gets, and maybe
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: we'll have you on. And then Donald's mom is a
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: very big, very successful agent. So after we talk about
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: Donald's childhood and growing up and being a performer, we
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: can also get some advice for all your young actors
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: out there who are trying to make it happen. Where
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: to go, how to get your stuff seen when you
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: can't get seen by the big agents. My mom knows
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: how to get it. Yeah, so that we're gonna have
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: two Mom shows in a row, right, well, in a row.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: We gotta see if Shirley's available. We gotta see if
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: my mom's available. I don't know if she'll be able.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: I mean, I imagine she'd be geeked out of her
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: mind to talk to a bunch of people, because you know,
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: if you've ever sat down with my mom, you already
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: know she's a talker. Mom. Well, she's talker, but she's
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: very funny and very funny. Yes, my mom is Um,
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: my Mom's gonna be great. Maybe you should be on
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: your best behavior. Maybe just go a little bit light
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: on the jazz cabbage. I'm not gonna I'm not gonna
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: smoke a whole blunt. I will just smoke. Maybe just
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: rub the blunt under your nose. I think maybe I'll
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: just eat it instead of smoking it in honor of
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: my mom. Don't get too high. I will I will
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: come through. I will come through. I will even use
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: the vizine, I promise you. I think my mom knows
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: that you enjoy jazz cabbage. I'm sure she does. Um.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: All right, well, um, you guys, stay on, stay on
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: because I think we did the whole show. Dude, we
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: did the whole show. Yes, I want to give a
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: shout out to my brother Dominique Daniels. Um just love him.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: He just got married and they're pregnant, and I would
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: like to showcase this beautiful young woman's arts. Yes, please
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: get the pains in. Well, where can we where can
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: we find it? Where can we find it? It's great
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: for us to see, but where can we where can
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: the fans find it? Uh? Bailey sixteen, So I did
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: choke a bow painting lovely? That is? I love chokea bows. Yeah,
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: I know what a choke a bo is. But it's
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: a beautiful bird. It's a bird for Final Fantasy, the
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: video game series. It looks very mythical. I feel the feeling.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: You guys are a match made in heaven. You we've known,
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: it's been what eleven years we've been friends. Oh, Demetrius,
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: I think you got it right the second time around.
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: Um so wait, well you just for everyone who wants
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: to wait, wait one second, for everyone who wants to

- 1:10:00Speaker 1: You actually tell them you're very talented, So I suggest
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: that you figure out how you could go about selling
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: your work. That's that was beautiful. I put that on
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: my wall. Demetrius, what are you doing? Man? You better
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: not let this woman slip away from you. Demitrius, how
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: are you not going to fuck this up? You know
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: what I mean? I bet you asked. Wife didn't do
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: stuff like this? You asks wife didn't zip your ass
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: up in the batman sip bit. No, she did not.
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: She was like, take that shit off. She was like,
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: you better take that shit off, damn it. Yeah, and
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: through the dishes. And I know why you're laughing, because
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: it's true. You remember all of this ship. We're gonna
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: give him. You're gonna give him, You're gonna give him nights.
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: He's like, she's next door. Check up. Fuck up? We
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: still lived together. I didn't tell you that we're in
