- 2:28The listen to the be forever cool podcast.
- 2:30My name is Rex 45. Welcome to another episode of
- 2:35the podcast. I'm excited even though I'm
- 2:38having camera issues, but we'll we'll make it do what it do I'm
- 2:42excited. I was in Rhode Atlanta for the
- 2:43weekend to take in automotive America around.
- 2:47It was good to catch up with some of the guys and and some
- 2:50folks that we've had on the show and all that fun stuff.
- 2:52So it was a good time. It's a little different going to
- 2:57racetrack and and not racing, I got to say, but we'll, we'll,
- 3:00we'll dive into all that. I want to thank all the folks
- 3:04that are liking and commenting and subscribing.
- 3:06Really appreciate it. It makes it easier for us to do
- 3:10what we do. Also, you know, go to woodcraft,
- 3:14go to our website and check out our our cool fans, for lack of a
- 3:20better word, and check out Woodcraft and you know, mention
- 3:23Rexy to get a discount at Woodcraft.
- 3:27Also Pirelli tires. If you're interested in Pirelli
- 3:31tires to go racing, just scan the QR code.
- 3:36Talk to my guy mentioned Rexy 45.
- 3:38It'll be forever cool podcast. Just some race tires.
- 3:41We like what we're doing. Every purchase helps grow the
- 3:44show, which is what we're trying to do and can't do without you
- 3:48guys. So I definitely appreciate it.
- 3:50But now that we got all this public service announcements
- 3:53stuff out the way, let's get into it and see what these guys
- 3:56have been up to. I wouldn't say any order, but
- 4:00let's go to TJTJ, man. Welcome to the show, man.
- 4:03How you doing today? I'm doing good, had a good
- 4:07weekend of watching Moto America and I'm just waiting for the
- 4:12good way to come. And we got our couple weeks out
- 4:15of the way, right, no racing. So we're back at it with Moto GP
- 4:19coming up and yeah, we're a super bike also this this past
- 4:23weekend. So we're back out of a racing.
- 4:26I'm excited. I got to say, you know, you know
- 4:29it losing that Qatar round definitely, you know, freed up
- 4:34some time for me to do stuff I don't want to do, like maybe
- 4:37change oil on generator and stuff like that.
- 4:40So it's nice to have racing back so I can not necessarily sit
- 4:44back and do nothing, but at least enjoy the past time.
- 4:48So yeah, it was good to see. It's good to see World Super
- 4:50Bike as well. It was a crazy weekend just
- 4:53being at Rd. Atlanta and then also just
- 4:55trying to keep up. What's going on in World Super
- 4:58Bike. I see the Celtics doing their
- 5:01thing. Are you excited for that OF?
- 5:04Course, you know, you know, New England's always in the sports
- 5:08talks. So now Patriots out of the way,
- 5:11we got the Celtics this go around and we'll see what we can
- 5:14do. We're looking good, OK.
- 5:15OK, that's right, right. Go to the Super Bowl.
- 5:19I mean, I'll tell you being what you're going to do.
- 5:22Reese, man. Welcome to the show, man.
- 5:23How you doing tonight, man? You're you're back home on a few
- 5:26times. You've gotten home before me.
- 5:30Exactly, man, just exhausted right now from heat and pollen,
- 5:36I want to say from being in Royal Atlanta.
- 5:38But yeah. Yeah.
- 5:39Oh good. Nice.
- 5:40Yeah, I definitely say the heat on Saturday was wild.
- 5:43I, I think I got a little bit of heat stroke, I'm not going to
- 5:45lie. And then just, you know, trying
- 5:48to cut, get a cover as much as the track as possible.
- 5:51Need like a dust mask, man. I mean, I was, I was eating dirt
- 5:53for a little bit too, man. It was.
- 5:55It was bad, man, that that pollen was killing me.
- 5:58I couldn't stop. Eyes are red, coughing,
- 6:01sneezing. I'm like, yeah, it's time to go
- 6:03home. You know, listen, I mean, it's a
- 6:05good it's a good way to end the weekend.
- 6:07Y'all you guys got the W on Sunday after having the crazy
- 6:11Saturday. So it's it's I mean, you can't
- 6:13ask for a better turn around than that.
- 6:14Nope. Great way to redeem ourselves
- 6:17and get it back on the podium and see if we can build off of
- 6:21that momentum. All right, I'm pretty sure Louis
- 6:23is going to have a couple of questions for you and you guys
- 6:26on what happened. So we, we, we going to keep it
- 6:29moving. But Louis, man, welcome to the
- 6:31show. I'm glad you're upright.
- 6:33And we thought I might have to send you some chicken soup or
- 6:36something like that, man. How you doing, man?
- 6:38Doing better, doing better. I know I've missed a couple of
- 6:40shows, been under the weather, traveling.
- 6:42It's just been a combination of everything possible to keep you
- 6:45off the show for the last couple of weeks.
- 6:47But I'm a trooper through this one and 'cause I, I was, I was
- 6:52actually missing interacting with the fellas and and having
- 6:58some of the banter that we have. So I really wanted to get on the
- 7:00show this today. Nice, nice.
- 7:03Well, we got we got a lot to cover today, man so it's it's
- 7:06going to be crazy man. It was good to see you face to
- 7:09face again and you as well, Reese.
- 7:10I mean, it's we've been doing this show for a little bit and
- 7:14and you know now hopefully this year we'll we'll see a lot more
- 7:17of each other in person versus the on the screen only.
- 7:21Well, let's talk about motor America before we dive into
- 7:23world super bike. It's officially the second
- 7:27round. But for you guys, the Super bike
- 7:29guys, it's really the first round.
- 7:31So it's kind of a weird kind of situation for you guys because
- 7:35you guys got to say second round, I suppose, but really you
- 7:39guys didn't have like like the DNF.
- 7:41So we'll start with Reese, man, Let's talk about the weekend.
- 7:44And and from your perspective, it must be nice to be, you know,
- 7:48back on back at with the team, not just testing and and now in
- 7:51the mix and stuff like that. So who?
- 7:53Who was the first person to drop a wrench?
- 7:57Probably me, but probably me. But no, it's nice to be back
- 8:05with the guys. It's nice to be back in colours,
- 8:08you know, not just testing. It's good to be back in front of
- 8:12the fans and not just, you know, just the crew.
- 8:15So it, it's kind of nice now and, and to put on the show and
- 8:20you know, we had our little UPS, you know, our little hiccups in
- 8:23the beginning like any other people would.
- 8:24But you know, Race 2 came out, redeemed ourselves, and we put
- 8:29on a show. Man, is it is it one of those
- 8:33things where you guys are like, you know what a relief, get it
- 8:37out the way. Hopefully y'all done with with
- 8:39crashing for the rest of the season or is it?
- 8:42Is it kind of like man already like you know, or is it just you
- 8:46guys are professionals and y'all, y'all?
- 8:48It doesn't matter if you you make the three or not.
- 8:50You you don't. You don't change your facial
- 8:52expression. I mean, hopefully we're done
- 8:56with crashing, but I mean, that's part of racing.
- 8:59I know Richard always says, you know, you rather whatever you
- 9:02got to do, don't crash in the race.
- 9:05You know, gain as many points as you can possibly you can.
- 9:08You know, that's the name of the game.
- 9:09Try to gain as maximum you can win both points If if you need
- 9:13to pick it back up and go, go. But you know, crashing practice
- 9:20or warm ups or, you know, whatever.
- 9:22That's a little bit different than crashing in a race because
- 9:24then, you know, we want the most points we can because at the end
- 9:26of the day, you may come down to that last race and you may need
- 9:29that two points or one point. Right, right, right.
- 9:33Yeah, I know can definitely see that.
- 9:35TJ, man, I mean, you know, you and I were fans of the sport at
- 9:39the at the highest level here. What is it like for you to have
- 9:43Motor America back and and you know you you got some more time
- 9:46to fill but watching races? No, it's good to see Motor
- 9:51America back and I like it because, you know, being a local
- 9:56rider, you know, we have some riders that participate in Motor
- 9:59America. So huge supporter and just what
- 10:05the season, how the season left off last year.
- 10:08Just very excited to see how the Super bike class will start.
- 10:11And as we all had our eyes on, you know, the top top runners
- 10:15like Beau BA and and and who we got Beau BA and Sean Daniel
- 10:26Kelly, Bobby Fong, you know Bobby Fong.
- 10:29Yeah, sorry to Jacob, but it was good to see like Schultz come
- 10:33out of nowhere and and just just run the, you know, the table
- 10:38basically the first race. It's just he's at a huge pace,
- 10:42you know what I mean? So it was just, you know, just
- 10:45to see someone come from super bike class, super sport class
- 10:48and and do that and it was just this side of weekend to see like
- 10:53how the season's going to go. So it's just off to a good
- 10:55start, I say. Yeah, I mean, depends on who you
- 10:58ask about that. Good start because we're going
- 11:00to dive into that PJS crash moving up from, you know, super
- 11:04sport to super bike. We talk about Schultz who who
- 11:07won and another guy broke a finger and, you know, and got
- 11:10concussed. You know, Lewis, man, you know,
- 11:13you were back in action this weekend and been traveling and
- 11:16all that. Do you do you take time out to
- 11:19sit on the hill, put your take your shoes off, you know, get
- 11:22your fingers in the dirt and and enjoy the race?
- 11:25What's what's happening? Nah, I usually will watch the
- 11:30race from from one of the TV's in the area or I'll try to be in
- 11:35a corner or somewhere and maybe watch the front straightaway.
- 11:38But I usually watch them on the TV's just so you can get a
- 11:42little bit better view of around the track versus just that one
- 11:45corner you're at. So you know, I'm either I'm in
- 11:50the somebody's paddock watching it or I'm watching it on the big
- 11:53screen with the rest of the fans at the podium.
- 11:56That's kind of where I was for most of the day on Saturday.
- 11:59I was watching it at the big screen because I like to be
- 12:01around other people and that I don't know, and just kind of
- 12:05listening to conversations of what people say.
- 12:07Sometimes people will say really smart things, sometimes people
- 12:11say really dumb things. And it's entertaining to listen
- 12:14to people that sometimes have ridden motorcycles on the track
- 12:18and kind of know a little bit and then other times you can
- 12:20tell within the 1st 5 words this person never ridden a bike in
- 12:25their life to to anywhere near its potential.
- 12:28You did a lot of sneezing and and mumbling under your breath.
- 12:31Yeah, yeah, yeah. I, I keep the shades on and I
- 12:35just keep a big grin on my face the entire time.
- 12:37As I, you know, I listen to people sometimes.
- 12:40It's it's pretty hilarious. No, it, it is, I, I think, you
- 12:44know, I don't know what it is. It's, it's like, you know, too
- 12:46much fresh air. It's not you all at once, you
- 12:49know? You start daydreaming,
- 12:51hallucinating, and start saying things that you can't do and
- 12:55stuff like that. It just, it just reminds me of
- 12:57that that guy at the bar that starts talking about back in
- 13:00high school, his four touchdown game.
- 13:05Al Bundy. Is Al Bundy?
- 13:09Yeah, yeah, and the story gets better and better.
- 13:13Let's talk about super before we talk about super bike, guys.
- 13:17Kayla, you know, got first place on the grid, got pole position,
- 13:22I believe. And correct me if I'm wrong,
- 13:24guys, she's the first female to get pole position in the modern
- 13:27era, at least overall at this level.
- 13:31Pretty impressive to see. I was I was a little shocked.
- 13:35I'm not going to I'm not, I'm not going to lie.
- 13:36I know she was finishing top five last year and stuff like
- 13:39that. But out the gate I was a little
- 13:42surprised to see see her get pole position.
- 13:45What your thoughts TV on on Kayla getting pole position?
- 13:49What it does for the sport overall, because she's up.
- 13:52She's up the mindset that she wants to race with the boys.
- 13:55She's not. She doesn't want to be put in a
- 13:57in a in a any other box, but she wants to race with the boys.
- 14:02Yeah, she she's definitely proven herself for sure.
- 14:06Yeah, I'm very happy for her. I mean, you can see she's been
- 14:09putting in the work in the offseason.
- 14:11I mean, she had a pretty solid year last year and coming into
- 14:14this year, her mind has been set to to win and to start off the
- 14:20season like this to get pole position.
- 14:22It's just good to see she's up here to stay and what she's
- 14:28doing for the sport, especially for the females, is pretty
- 14:31awesome because she's just showing that you can win.
- 14:34And like she's been she's in battle with the boys since day
- 14:37one. And like, yeah, I'm just even if
- 14:40she didn't get on the, you know, she started first but didn't end
- 14:46so that bad, but she still still was top five.
- 14:49So she she did very well, very, very happy for her.
- 14:53So see what happens next round. No doubt, no doubt.
- 14:56What are your thoughts? Reese?
- 14:57Saw what Kayla did the Super sport class and I think she she
- 15:01even LED a couple of laps as well.
- 15:03So pretty impressed. And I mean, as a as a rider
- 15:06competitor, I mean, it's a good way to build on a season, you
- 15:10know what I'm saying? To to get podium in Daytona, to
- 15:13get pole position, to finish top five pretty good.
- 15:17What are your thoughts, Reese? I mean, I was pretty impressed.
- 15:20I mean, she did she did very well.
- 15:22I mean, there's a bunch of guys, you know, people in her group
- 15:24that's very fast and you got Heron, you got a you know, you
- 15:28got Blake. There's a couple of guys in
- 15:31there that that is Sharks and Bender.
- 15:35Of course, you know, they beat the actual, you know, but you
- 15:39know, for his defense, it is his first time in the track.
- 15:42But he you know, she did very well and talking to speeds, you
- 15:47know, about her talking to him over the weekend.
- 15:50She's been put in a heck of a lot of work.
- 15:52She's been in Jennings. She's that every time you turn
- 15:55around, she's on the track, she's doing something with
- 15:57either whether it's a bike or whether it's a mini bike, you
- 16:01know, so she's getting her work in and Ben says she's she's
- 16:04coming along very well. So I was very impressed to see
- 16:07that. Yeah, it's nice.
- 16:09Yeah, likewise, man. I mean, like I said it, it it
- 16:12for for me. Like I said, I I was a little
- 16:14surprised this came this soon, but this this the Super sport
- 16:18class is I mean, everybody's going to be in trouble if she's
- 16:21already doing this. We thought Louis on how she did
- 16:24and and we'll jump into the rest of the the race weekend.
- 16:29I mean, she did well, I think for considering this is what,
- 16:32her second, third year, now third.
- 16:36Year. 3rd year, I mean, you know, this is the progression
- 16:39you want to see from somebody in their third year in the class,
- 16:42especially on a top team like Ray Hall.
- 16:44You know, they've kind of set a pedigree for themselves where
- 16:47they do put out very, very competitive bikes.
- 16:49They have competitive teams. So this is the progression you
- 16:53want to see and hopefully she can keep kind of moving it
- 16:56forward. You know, I, I still think that
- 17:01there's a little bit of recency biased where people keep
- 17:04forgetting that Elena Myers did a lot of these things 1520 years
- 17:08ago. And because Moto America is not
- 17:12owned by the same company that owned the racing back when Elena
- 17:16Myers was doing it, Moto America kind of kind of puts it in the
- 17:20back burner and kind of like, whoa, she's the first one in
- 17:23Motor America to do this. And she's when the first one.
- 17:26Well, Motor America might be Motor America.
- 17:28US motorcycle racing, AMA racing's been around longer than
- 17:32Motor America. And they should still, you know,
- 17:34I always say they should still kind of give a little bit of a
- 17:37tip of the hat to the people that came before and not
- 17:40completely just, you know, make them disappear or make them
- 17:45irrelevant or make their contributions irrelevant.
- 17:49I mean, it took a long time for a woman to get back to where
- 17:53Kayla is now because after Elena Myers, for a long time, we had
- 17:57women come and go, but they really didn't do any kind of
- 17:59impact. And Elena's.
- 18:01So for me, Kayla's the first one making an impact since Elena.
- 18:05And there's a lot of racers that hate on Elena for whatever
- 18:08reason. I mean, it's if you go through
- 18:09the paddock, you can actually ask people and some people just
- 18:12have this weird just dislike of her for whatever reason.
- 18:16But you can't discredit what she did at her time.
- 18:19I mean, she rode up, she rode a Moto GP bike, she rode, she won
- 18:23at Daytona on Super Sport. She beat guys, she ruined, she
- 18:27won, she raced super bike like she did a lot of stuff.
- 18:29So I hope Kayla can continue to grow in her progression and keep
- 18:35bringing it to the guys on a regular basis.
- 18:37And, you know, again, make it just a racer against a race has
- 18:41nothing to do with her being female racing against guys.
- 18:44She's just another racer out there competing on the same
- 18:47level on equal equipment and having the same results.
- 18:50Like, I almost want to get to the point where it's kind of
- 18:52irrelevant of, you know, yeah, she's a woman.
- 18:55It's kind of irrelevant when this is Motorsports.
- 18:58This isn't basketball. You know, it's not Angel Reese,
- 19:01you know, squaring up against LeBron James.
- 19:06You know, this is that kind of, you know, if you train hard, if
- 19:09you work hard, if you put in the time, if you got the right bike
- 19:12and you've got the right skill, everything else falls into
- 19:15place. Right, right.
- 19:17Yeah. So I mean, I, I, I, I, I get
- 19:19what I, I hear what you're saying and I get it.
- 19:22Like it, it we and I think it might be more the people that
- 19:27are asking the question. So the folks in the media, I
- 19:30think it's low, not necessarily, I don't say low hanging fruit,
- 19:33but it's easier to say you're a woman competing in this sport
- 19:36and just, rather than just ask how she felt or what you know,
- 19:39or, or how did you put it together and that kind of thing.
- 19:42I mean, I, I think, you know, again, that's, that's a, that's
- 19:46media doing that part of it. And, you know, we'll try our
- 19:50best not to be like that, but let's let's jump into the race
- 19:52one on Saturday. I mean, it was, it was a lot of
- 19:56action on on Saturday. I mean, for me, it was crazy
- 20:00because I'm I'm running around trying to learn the track and,
- 20:03and trying to miss people and stuff like that.
- 20:07But were you guys a little bit surprised that Darren was able
- 20:09to pull that one off and and and win that or just kind of decide
- 20:14from Daytona and stuff like that?
- 20:16Because I mean, obviously race 2 was different.
- 20:21You start with TJ. Well, I mean, he's on the
- 20:25Ducati. I mean, I knew Dan Brin is going
- 20:27to be a firm runner and that draft is pretty serious at at
- 20:31that track. But I mean, I didn't expect him
- 20:33to to get that much of a gap and take off like he did.
- 20:39But he had a hell of a race. I mean, like Blake Davis, Tyler
- 20:43Scott, I mean Kayla, they were all hanging in the first couple
- 20:45laps. But, you know, I'm sure it was
- 20:50really hot there and I had lots of a little bit to do with it.
- 20:54But yeah, he wrote a hell of a race and never looked back
- 20:57really after that. Right.
- 20:59Yeah, yeah, no doubt. Reese.
- 21:01I mean, were you surprised by how scrappy he was been he was
- 21:05little scrappy. You surprised at all?
- 21:09Nope, not at all. I mean, I expected him to come
- 21:13in and do that. I expected him to be scrappy.
- 21:16I expected him to. I almost expected him to die.
- 21:19Bomb a couple people, you know, Yeah, Surprise.
- 21:23Exactly. I I was expecting that, but I
- 21:26didn't see it. So.
- 21:27But no, I expected him to be right there, you know, and do
- 21:31what he did. But I mean, he was very good and
- 21:34he he actually picked the track up faster than I thought he
- 21:36would be. So, yeah, yeah, it's impressive
- 21:40how, you know, the folks at that level can learn to track faster
- 21:46and and we see, you know, some some folks that come in that are
- 21:50also racing in different classes and it's the first time at the
- 21:52track and when we see the struggles that they have.
- 21:56Louis, what are your thoughts on Bender?
- 21:59You know, is it, I mean, it's not the same as Petrucci coming
- 22:03over as some of these other guys.
- 22:04We're in the sense that, you know, he's not on a super bike.
- 22:06He's he's on a super sport. Can he run away with the title?
- 22:12I mean, you know, in Moto 2 and Moto GP he did struggle.
- 22:17So it wasn't clear that he he would be a front runner coming
- 22:21out here. And, and again, you know, we'll
- 22:22jump into Race 2 because it, you know, it seems like Karen's
- 22:25like, you know, not on my watch on, on, on the Sunday race.
- 22:30Yeah, I mean, I, I was surprised that he's going to get pick up
- 22:33any track fast. I mean, if you're fast, you're
- 22:35fast anywhere you go. I always said that really fast
- 22:38guys within one, 1 1/2, maybe 2 sessions should be at the pace
- 22:44of the guys at the front. If you're truly fast, fast knows
- 22:48how to go fast, Fast figures that out.
- 22:50You sit down, you get the track layout, you already go out there
- 22:53with a lot of data, you already know what gear you need to be in
- 22:56when you go into a corner. So now you're really just
- 22:58working on your break markers and understanding how the break
- 23:01markers line up with the track and finding your markers on the
- 23:05track. So you know exactly where you're
- 23:06shifting, but you already know before you even get on the bike
- 23:09at this level. Turn one, I'm supposed to be in
- 23:12this gear. Turn 3, I'm supposed to be in
- 23:14this gear. Turn 5, I'm supposed to be in
- 23:16this gear. Turn 7, I'm supposed to be in
- 23:17this gear. You already know that part.
- 23:20And that's that's where a lot of people struggle because when you
- 23:23go to a track as a track day person, you're kind of going out
- 23:27there figuring out this all stuff.
- 23:28But at this level, these guys already have a notebook and
- 23:31they're told, hey, for this bike, this is the gearing that
- 23:35we're using. These are the sprocket setups
- 23:37that we have. And by using the sprocket setup,
- 23:40more or less, these are the gearing where you should be in
- 23:42the gears throughout the track based on the data that we have.
- 23:46Now you go out there, if you can do something slightly different,
- 23:49if you can carry a gear a little longer, if you can go to full
- 23:51throttle a little faster than some things might change, but
- 23:54more or less this is where you need to be.
- 23:57So I didn't think he was going to have any problem getting up
- 23:59to speed. He's he knows how to go fast.
- 24:03I still say that that class is still Josh Herons to lose.
- 24:06And I won't change that tune until something drastic happens
- 24:11because I mean, this is a guy that's won that class multiple
- 24:14times. This is a 2, you know, multi
- 24:16time super bike champion who's kind of been relegated back to
- 24:19super sport. And it's not like he wants to
- 24:22stay in super sport. So for him, you know, I think
- 24:25even though he might not put pressure on himself, the the
- 24:28only person with pressure to win in that class is Josh Herring.
- 24:32Nobody else there is expected to beat him.
- 24:35So if he doesn't come away with a with the championship this
- 24:38year, anything less than the championship for them, for him
- 24:41is is a loss. Whereas everybody else, second
- 24:44or third place is great. You know, if Kayla ends up
- 24:47second place at the end of the year, nobody expected her to be
- 24:50there. So, you know, there's no
- 24:53pressure on her. There's no pressure on anybody
- 24:55else. The guy to beat in that class is
- 24:57Josh Herron until something else happens.
- 24:59And I think Darren Bender, if anything, will keep Josh Heron a
- 25:03little honest this year where he won't walk away.
- 25:06But there's going to be tracks where you're going to see that
- 25:09Josh Heron has a lot of time on these tracks.
- 25:12He understands his track better than anybody else.
- 25:14And he might win a couple of races in that class by like 8-9
- 25:18or 10 seconds, to be honest with you.
- 25:20Like he might actually walk away from the field at a couple of
- 25:23tracks where he's just known to be really fast.
- 25:25All right. Well, let's see guys.
- 25:27Let's see TJ, you heard all what Lewis just said that you think
- 25:32it's it's herons to lose. I mean, you know, we hear how
- 25:36strong Kayla worked in this offseason and stuff like that.
- 25:40So he's probably saying, hey, this might be mine to win.
- 25:42So what are your thoughts, man? Is it is it his to lose?
- 25:45And, and I'll say this too, because I, I don't, he lost the
- 25:50just, he lost the seat and he, and he's kind of being demoted
- 25:53too, right, because he's going back to super sport.
- 25:55And that's a different mentality you have to deal with mentally
- 25:58versus somebody who's on the progression of moving upward.
- 26:01Not, you know, now you're sitting here trying to, you
- 26:04know, now let's say have a second coming, but like, you
- 26:07know, you're, you're trying to hopefully get back to super
- 26:10bike. I assume Josh wants to get back
- 26:12to super Bike. Yeah, I mean, I mean with his
- 26:16resume for sure, like every any series he goes out in, he's
- 26:22pretty much respected for himself I would say to try to
- 26:25win because basically he's he's got a lot of championships under
- 26:29his belt. It's such that the way the
- 26:32season played out, it basically got demoted and had to find a
- 26:37ride. And he's now in super sport and
- 26:40with his class of riding, it just goes to tell like, yeah,
- 26:44you're supposed to win. I don't know if he's thinking
- 26:47that way, but I think that if he's now in super sport, it's
- 26:51more defending his titles that he has where he can't just go
- 26:55there to lose. So I think he, it is his season
- 27:00to lose basically because you know, his resume, like he's he's
- 27:05trying to get back to the Super bike.
- 27:06So he's definitely going to have to show that he can go down a
- 27:12class and still win and get back to where it's supposed to be.
- 27:15But you know the contacts work so.
- 27:18Yeah, I mean, Reese, what are you?
- 27:19What are you, what are your thoughts on is it Herron Saluz
- 27:22and is it safe to assume Herron should have the same mindset as
- 27:28Schultz? I don't know if the reason why
- 27:30he, you know, they got back to the Super sport class and have
- 27:33to not to say redeem themselves, but you know, earn another spot
- 27:36in in world super bike world and in super bike class at Motor
- 27:40America. Is this championship parents to
- 27:43lose? It definitely is.
- 27:45It definitely is his to lose. I mean, he's had the most wins,
- 27:47he's the most consistent. So he it is his to lose.
- 27:53I mean, look how many Daytona championships the guy has and he
- 27:57didn't like, Lewis said. He knows these tracks better
- 28:00than anyone, especially like Atlanta Lagunas is around, you
- 28:06know, and then, you know, he could stretch the legs out in
- 28:08the Ducati and write in Rd. America and Barbara.
- 28:11He's going to he's going to do very well.
- 28:13So, you know, this is his championship to lose.
- 28:16It's not, yeah, you've been kind of demoted and then go back and
- 28:20redeem yourself and prove yourself.
- 28:22But it, it, it there's a lot of things when you go down to
- 28:25redeem yourself into another class, it's not only can you
- 28:29still ride, it's also attitude and a humbleness.
- 28:34Once you can put all three of those together, it's hey, let's
- 28:38go ride. OK, all right, no doubt, no
- 28:41doubt. Let's talk about the rest.
- 28:44Well, not the rest, but let's talk about the top, right,
- 28:46Because I mean Kayla, Ty Scott, which I mean Ty Scott, I mean,
- 28:51he's he's done well at Loudon And and I mean this guy, he he
- 28:55fights and fights and fights. And I'll say he has the same bad
- 28:57luck that Oliveira has, but he's definitely like, I'm pretty sure
- 29:01he feels like he shot more wins under his belt than he currently
- 29:04has. So we got Kayla, we got Tyler,
- 29:07we got Josh, we got Darren. I mean, I, I, I got to say like
- 29:11these, these might be the full bike riders that are going to be
- 29:14out front this year to, to win it.
- 29:16Is there anyone else that you got that that you see at the
- 29:19moment that can come in there? I know Blake should be there,
- 29:22but the way these other riders have had these first two rounds,
- 29:26I mean, they're kind of setting themselves above everyone else.
- 29:29What are your thoughts, TJ? Yeah, I'm just looking down the
- 29:33list and looking at the times that they've been pulling out
- 29:37and I should see like that's the top five for me, who's just kind
- 29:43of nailed it. I would love to see someone else
- 29:46to step up a little bit. But yeah, Josh, Taylor, Blake,
- 29:52Tyler and Darren feel like that's going to be the top five
- 29:57that's going to be fighting for the championship this year.
- 29:59And I think it's going to be a heck of a battle because they're
- 30:02all right there like with the intense from each other.
- 30:06I know Josh has the most experience, but you know, you
- 30:10got Darren Bender coming from, you know, the other side and and
- 30:15and you know, he ain't afraid either.
- 30:18So especially how we talked about how we learned this track
- 30:21very fast. So we see other GP riders come
- 30:25in like Petrucci and Lawrence Baz and a couple other guys
- 30:30where they had no trouble either.
- 30:32So. Right.
- 30:33No, no doubt. What are your thoughts, Reese,
- 30:35man? I mean, are these are these the
- 30:37four contenders for the championship?
- 30:39I know I didn't mention Josh Hayes and there's some other
- 30:42writers that, you know, DeMarco and, and these guys, I mean that
- 30:45they they, they could, but it seems like right now these are
- 30:48the top four or five guys. I mean, I think they are the top
- 30:52four or five guys. I mean, he's still got the old
- 30:55dog in there, Josh Hayes. I mean, he's still, I mean, race
- 30:591 he looked very, very strong. He looked very competitive.
- 31:01I don't know happen race 2 maybe that they they messed up on a
- 31:04set up because you know, the temperature dropped really bad.
- 31:07It was really cool. But he looked very strong.
- 31:12I mean, like you said, you still got Blake.
- 31:14Blake looked strong race one and then kind of fell a little
- 31:18behind on race 2. But then we're going to another
- 31:22round. We're going to Barber where it's
- 31:23going to be definitely a little a whole lot warmer.
- 31:27So those are the top guys up there, but they're also some
- 31:32some other guys in that class that is going to is probably
- 31:35going to surprise a bunch of people.
- 31:37OK, all right. No doubt, no doubt.
- 31:40Lewis, man, I, I, I, I know you got a lot to say.
- 31:42I, we, we got these four riders that, that we feel that, well,
- 31:46I'm saying that, you know, can run away with it.
- 31:48I'm sure you're going to add a few more that we haven't noticed
- 31:52and maybe why one of the ones we we mentioned shouldn't be there.
- 31:55I mean, right off the bat, just looking at real quick, the first
- 31:58one that I would say is, you know, Ducati definitely is kind
- 32:02of already put in their stamp that they have the best bike in
- 32:05the grid right now. Obviously the Yamaha had to do
- 32:09the conversion back to its stock swing arm.
- 32:11So they're racing it with a stock swing arm that's a little
- 32:13bit shorter. I guess they are figuring some
- 32:16stuff out because we do have some Yamahas towards the front.
- 32:19But it's not like it was last year.
- 32:21Like last year it was the Matthew Schultz and Blake Davis
- 32:24show with only one Ducati, and now it's a bunch of Ducatis.
- 32:28And I think there's going to be more Ducatis inching their way
- 32:31up into this top five top 6 before more Yamahas inch their
- 32:36way up into this top ten. Let's put it that way.
- 32:38All right, he was like. A Jamaican Canadian that jumped
- 32:42out the gate against Lewis back in the day in the Olympics.
- 32:48I like, I like Tyler Scott, you know, I'm a Suzuki guy, you can
- 32:52see. But until he shaves that thing
- 32:54off his upper lip, I could never root for him because that thing
- 32:57just looks horrible. I don't know what it is, it's
- 33:01been growing there or trying to grow for a couple years.
- 33:03He just needs to let it go man. It's not happening bro.
- 33:06You know, when I see him he reminds me it was Albert Buttus
- 33:09or whatever his first name is in four below 1 though. 4 below
- 33:13one. They they they used to write for
- 33:15Mercedes racing Mercedes. Sometimes you got to just
- 33:18understand that nature didn't give you the ability to grow a
- 33:21mustache and just just live with it, man.
- 33:23Because that thing just looks worse every year, man.
- 33:27It's so harsh, man, It's so harsh.
- 33:31Blake Davis I, you know, I hope he does well, but again, I think
- 33:35the Yamaha is going to struggle this year and I don't think he's
- 33:37going to be at the front where he wants to be just because the
- 33:40Ducatis are strong and you got a lot of strong riders this year.
- 33:43You know, last year was really the PJ and Matthew show and he
- 33:47was there. Tyler had a couple of flashes of
- 33:51brilliance, but not anything sustained.
- 33:55So even getting into the top five and finishing the top five
- 33:58this year is probably going to be very, very hard for Blake and
- 34:01it's going to be a tough pill for him to swallow at the end of
- 34:03the year. And if there's anyone missing,
- 34:06and I've talked to him quite a bit this past weekend, is
- 34:09Alessandro Demario, man. I mean, he's still a rookie in
- 34:12his class, but I would not, would not underestimate what
- 34:17this kid can do on the bike, man, once you kind of get
- 34:19something sorted, He had a mechanical issue.
- 34:23He had one crash, which was a setup issue that he had.
- 34:27They went the wrong way with the setup and he didn't have the
- 34:30right feel. And that's why he crashed in
- 34:31turn 1. And then the second race, he
- 34:34just had a horrible start. He just, you know, let the
- 34:36clutch go at the start and the bike just stalled on him almost.
- 34:39It just sputtered, sputtered, sputtered.
- 34:41Nothing happened. And he kind of just got
- 34:43relegated a little bit further back than he wanted.
- 34:45He had to battle through some guys to kind of finish where he
- 34:48finished. But again, these are growing
- 34:51pains for a rookie. But you know, talent wise, this
- 34:55kids going to put it together, man.
- 34:57And he's going to surprise some people and there's going to be
- 34:59some races where he's going to be right at the front battling.
- 35:02And as long as he keeps his level head and races the way he
- 35:04races, I mean, I really think he will end up in the top 7 at the
- 35:08end of the year. Yeah, no, I I agree.
- 35:11I agree. There's some there's a lot of
- 35:13good names in the in the field right now and and I'm looking
- 35:18forward to see as the season progress where they end up
- 35:20because it's pretty crazy. Let's talk about world super
- 35:23bike, man. We'll put you on a hot seat.
- 35:24Reese. Reese, what happened in race
- 35:26One? Man, what happened?
- 35:32Was I was going to say what happened was I saw the back of
- 35:35my eyelids. I didn't even get a chance to
- 35:36see it honestly. Nice.
- 35:39So that's the crazy part. I saw the back of my eyelids.
- 35:42I'm not even going to lie to you on that one.
- 35:45You know, being up at 6:00 and 5:00 in the morning, I I wasn't
- 35:49even paying attention to the world super bike.
- 35:51I was paying attention my we're. Talking, We're talking about
- 35:54Super Bike Boat America, you know.
- 35:57You said world super bike. OK, so.
- 36:00My bad, my bad. I'm getting getting ahead of
- 36:02myself. What happened in race one?
- 36:07I mean, Bobby tucked the front. That was it.
- 36:13I mean, you know, like he tucked the front and he had Marshalls
- 36:18jumping in and telling the guy not to, to kind of get away from
- 36:22the bike and he wanted to pick up the bike and keep running.
- 36:25And then all of a sudden you had a red flag.
- 36:28Somebody end up crashing and they had a red flag that race.
- 36:32So he went back to restart it and got it restarted.
- 36:35So he brought it in and he was trying to repair it.
- 36:37But because, you know, rules say if you kind of abandoned the
- 36:41bike, you don't actively trying to get it started and it's a red
- 36:44flag you can't restart. So that was a deal.
- 36:48But how can you restart if the marshals are in your way telling
- 36:51you to go away? Got you.
- 36:53And and so is that a, do you guys think is that a more
- 36:56clarification needs to come from race direction?
- 37:00I don't think it needs to be more clarification.
- 37:01I think it needs to be for race direction.
- 37:03I think it needs to be better training for the Marshalls.
- 37:06If you actually see a rider trying to restart, because those
- 37:09Marshalls don't know, they don't know pretty much the logistics
- 37:13or or mechanical things of the bike.
- 37:15Can he, can he get it restarted? Is it on fire or is it working?
- 37:19Is it rideable? You know, you, they have no
- 37:22idea, you know, they just see a bike down.
- 37:24Oh well, they can't get it restarted.
- 37:26You know, they just hearing the bike trying to restart and
- 37:29they're like, oh, it won't restart, but not knowing that
- 37:31the pump needs to be reset and a couple things, you know, that
- 37:35needs to go on trying to get that bike started.
- 37:36It'll start. Sometimes it takes a little
- 37:40second, but I think they need to be better training for them to
- 37:43let the the riders, at least if you see them going back to the
- 37:46bike, let them try to get it started because that that could
- 37:50that could be detrimental in the long run.
- 37:54No, no, no. No doubt, TJ.
- 37:56Man, did you get to see race one?
- 37:59Oh, yeah. What?
- 38:00What are your thoughts, man? What?
- 38:03Do you got it is for we want to talk about that situation.
- 38:08It was a crazy start of a race, first of all, with a couple
- 38:13crashes and then the bike crashing in the middle of the
- 38:16track that caused a red flag. You know, you had Bobby a
- 38:21starting from the way back, you know, so it's it's a it's a
- 38:25couple of things. And but to see Bobby tuck the
- 38:28front, it was it wasn't a good look to see that, you know, I
- 38:32want to see him finish. But when, when they brought up
- 38:35that rule, like they literally saw like like the first thing he
- 38:39did was pick up his bike. And when the crash happens like
- 38:43that, like there's like a certain window of time that you
- 38:46really have to get out of the way of for safety and stuff like
- 38:49that. So like, you know, I felt like
- 38:52the marshals kind of pushed him out of the way because maybe it
- 38:55took too long, but like he tried and right as that happened, you
- 38:59know, the red flag hit. So I felt like he should still
- 39:02have an opportunity to, to, to restart, but I don't think he
- 39:09abandoned his bike at all. It was more of like he was
- 39:11listening to the marshals, like following the rules of of the
- 39:15situation. But I I don't think he should
- 39:18have been penalized for that. But it was a good win for for
- 39:21Schultz and just to see his pace in the first race, you know, I
- 39:26was just wondering who could keep up with that pace.
- 39:29So Race 2 is much different than it was good on on that end.
- 39:33So. OK.
- 39:35OK, I'll, I'll, I'll say this real quick, TJ.
- 39:39Bobby was keeping that pace. Oh yeah, he was.
- 39:43Oh yeah. Well, yeah, I guess, yeah.
- 39:45It happened so fast. So it was the first first.
- 39:48It was like 2-2 laps in and something like that.
- 39:51Yeah. So.
- 39:52Yeah, he had a good show, said a hell of a start.
- 39:56Like he had a hell of a start. But Bobby did track that pace
- 40:00down, so I'll give him that. OK, Louis man, I, I, I see you
- 40:05got Paul Asparagus Suzuki suit behind you there.
- 40:09This is don't insult this suit by saying Paul Asparagus
- 40:12brother. This is not one of the Asparagus
- 40:14brothers. This is this is World Moto GP
- 40:18champion Johan Meer. OK, OK, that's what's up.
- 40:23That's what's up. I'm a fan of me.
- 40:24How are your thoughts on super on Super bike Motor America?
- 40:29Let me get the world out of there and you know on Bobby.
- 40:33I got a question on what's actively competing.
- 40:35Do you have to actively be competing in your sport or can
- 40:39you just be like punching Marshalls in the face and say,
- 40:42hey, I'm actively competing in the UFC until there's a red flag
- 40:45and then I can pick my bike up? Because I think this is, again,
- 40:49this is Motor America breakdown. When Motor America goes to
- 40:52different tracks, they look for volunteers to work as corner
- 40:56marshals. They're trained for a minimal
- 40:59amount of time and then they go, they go out there and they have
- 41:02to do the best they have with the training they have.
- 41:06If a rider is trying to pick up their bike, are they being told
- 41:10to help the rider? Are they being told to pull the
- 41:13rider off the track? Because obviously they're in an
- 41:15impact zone because if they crash there, somebody else can
- 41:17crash there. So there's two different things
- 41:19going on right now. But if a rider's trying to pick
- 41:21up their bike to get back up and running, I'm not saying the
- 41:24Marshall needs to go out there and help them, but the Marshall
- 41:27did not, should not go out there and hinder them either because
- 41:30he's actively trying to compete. And we had this, you know, we
- 41:34had a similar situation happened a couple years ago at Barber.
- 41:38So that was completely different.
- 41:39The rider was there screaming and yelling at the bike instead
- 41:42of actually trying to pick up the bike.
- 41:43So yeah, he wasn't actively competing, but this wasn't the
- 41:47situation. This rider was actually trying
- 41:49to pick up the bike was getting pulled away from the marshals.
- 41:52Another bike goes down. So he does get the bike up and
- 41:54running. And now he's told, well, you
- 41:57weren't actively competing when the bike crashed, so now you
- 42:00can't restart. Like, it's like, you know, you
- 42:04need to train your corner brokers better.
- 42:06Right. Or there needs to be a little
- 42:08bit more clarification in the rule.
- 42:09It can't just be because you were pulled away from the bike
- 42:12or you weren't actively lifting the bike that you're not
- 42:15actively competing. You know, you could be getting
- 42:18up from the dirt. Let's say Bobby slid and he's
- 42:20laying in the dirt and he's getting up.
- 42:21Just as he's getting up, somebody crashes and red flags.
- 42:24You're not actively competing because you're laying in the
- 42:26dirt. I have to lay in the dirt before
- 42:29I get up. I just crashed.
- 42:30Like like fix this rule. This rule is stupid.
- 42:34It's it doesn't have enough clarification and it doesn't
- 42:37have enough like Gray area to let riders actually compete and
- 42:42give them time to show they're competing.
- 42:44If I crash and I slide 20 feet away from my bike and I get up
- 42:48and I'm coming back to my bike, the other bike red flags when
- 42:52I'm 10 feet away from my bike, I'm not actively competing.
- 42:55Why? Because I didn't Sprint 20 feet
- 42:57to pick up the bike. Like this is some, this is some
- 43:00bullshit, man. Let's call it what it is.
- 43:01This is some mode America, once again, Gray area bullshit that
- 43:05they don't want to define because if they define it,
- 43:08they'll be locked into this and they'll have to live with this
- 43:11rule. Whereas if they leave it Gray,
- 43:13you know, one person can be actively and compete not
- 43:15competing and one person can. And hey, this is there's not
- 43:18clear definition in the rule who who are you to argue with us?
- 43:23So just make this shit up as we go.
- 43:25Do do do corner workers need, you know, like play cards like
- 43:31like quarterbacks have and they and they just yell out, yell out
- 43:34and play from from the tower and they can look at the cards and
- 43:38see what to do. Is it is it time to implement
- 43:40the tech where where tech just tells them to the corner work?
- 43:44What's to do? And and they and they don't have
- 43:46to think. Well, corner workers have
- 43:48speakers and headphones. That's how they're able to, but
- 43:51kind of, hey, we got a, we got a man down to turn whatever.
- 43:53We got a person down to turn whatever.
- 43:55We've got fluid down. We've got, you know, this is how
- 43:57they're able to communicate. So is it race control doesn't
- 44:01have enough visual means to see every corner of the track And
- 44:06they just kind of go about what they see on the screen when the
- 44:08screen kind of goes to that corner and there's a delay
- 44:11sometimes even at the track when you move a camera from one place
- 44:14to another. So there might be a 1015 seconds
- 44:17delay and all of a sudden it looks like the guy's not
- 44:20competing but actually live in that corner, right?
- 44:22Then the bike, the guys trying to pick up the bike like there
- 44:26is just, there's just either have to train people better or
- 44:30they have to have a dedicated amount of corner workers that go
- 44:34to every event. They can't rely on volunteers at
- 44:37every single event because then that brings in another thing.
- 44:40Let's say we go to Majello and every corner worker is a
- 44:44volunteer at Majello and Marquez crashes.
- 44:47How many of them mother fuckers are going to come help Marquez
- 44:49at Majello? All of.
- 44:52Them, all of them. All of.
- 44:53Them. Yeah, they're going to help
- 44:54them. They're going to light the bike
- 44:57on fire. You know, this is what I mean.
- 45:01You have that, you're a professional sports league.
- 45:04You don't go from town to town hiring temporary referees.
- 45:08You have to have a certain amount of referees that go to
- 45:10every event and are stationed in every corner and you can station
- 45:141 full time corner worker with four or five volunteers because
- 45:20then you at least have somebody that's well trained and can use
- 45:23the tools that they have there. That's what I'm saying.
- 45:27You want to be a pro league, act like a pro league.
- 45:30You got to invest some money. You can't be doing mistakes like
- 45:33this. This looks, it looks, it looks
- 45:36really bad, man. Like that's the worst way I
- 45:37could do it, and not just because it's Bobby.
- 45:39Had it been anybody else, I'd still be on the same rant like
- 45:42this doesn't look professional. Well, and and it causes at the
- 45:46end of the season, if you lose by X amount of points below the
- 45:50DNF. Now all of a sudden it's just
- 45:51like it could have been a different story, especially with
- 45:53the red flag after to yeah, back out there.
- 45:57You have a valid point for. Sure, Bobby loses by 10 points
- 46:00at the end of the season. Right there is where he lost the
- 46:02championship. Yeah.
- 46:05Technically, you could say right there is where he lost the
- 46:06championship. Or, or at least train the corner
- 46:09workers, like instead of just bringing them in for a couple
- 46:12days before, you know, during the like race weekend, say, hey,
- 46:15that's what we're going to do on what's that Thursday when we
- 46:18roll in? This is how you do it.
- 46:20No, bring him in all we like, you know, on a Monday.
- 46:24How many? Corner How many corner worker
- 46:26stations are at Rd. Atlanta?
- 46:28At Rd. Atlanta is it 1310 or 1310 or 13
- 46:32corner worker stations? I.
- 46:35Don't. Remember, let's say, let's say
- 46:36let's say there's 13. You telling me you can't have 13
- 46:40full time people on staff that go to every single event and
- 46:43cover 13 corners because every track is going to have more or
- 46:46less the same amount of corner worker stations?
- 46:49They got to, they got to, they got to do a certain amount of
- 46:51hours at club racing level before they.
- 46:53Get, hey, maybe that's maybe that's what they got to do.
- 46:56You know, maybe they, or they get trained by Motor America,
- 46:58you know, they get flown out to all the, there's people that get
- 47:01flown out to all the races by Motor America.
- 47:03Now they do other jobs that are not as consequential to the
- 47:06finished product. They're not as consequential to
- 47:08the race, but their staff members, they get paid.
- 47:12They get flown out every weekend to do these events and then
- 47:15after the weekend they get a check cut and we'll see you in a
- 47:17month at the next event and that's it at.
- 47:19The next event. That's it.
- 47:20So if this is going to cost, let's say you know, you got 10
- 47:23guys three weekends, let's say this ends up costing 25 grand
- 47:33per weekend. But you can eliminate the amount
- 47:36of of mistakes, you could possibly eliminate the amount of
- 47:39injuries or eliminate the amounts of problems on the
- 47:42track. You have people at every corner
- 47:44that a little bit more well trained and like medical
- 47:47response. All of this adds up.
- 47:51I think, you know, investing a quarter million bucks throughout
- 47:54the entire year to make a better product and to keep your riders
- 47:57safe is probably worth it. Right, I agree.
- 48:00I I still think that the decision could have been better
- 48:04as well. Besides, the corner work is
- 48:06because I feel like he was still actively participating in the
- 48:10race, like he was still kind of on track when the red flag took
- 48:13place. I believe.
- 48:15It's not like he crashed 5 laps of four and then he's already
- 48:19sitting in the paddock and then a red flag appeared.
- 48:21So like I feel like, I feel like he should have still like, you
- 48:26know, it shouldn't even have been a, it should have been a no
- 48:29brainer. Like especially the effort that
- 48:31he put in to try to pick up his own bike.
- 48:33So I felt like he got screwed. No, I, I agree it is.
- 48:37And and you know, there's winners and losers when it comes
- 48:40to crashing and red and red flags.
- 48:41I mean, we see, we see the Moto GP as well with timing and stuff
- 48:45like that and, and their reaction.
- 48:47So it's crazy, I mean. He rode the bike in, so he did
- 48:52ride it in. Yeah, yeah.
- 48:54So it's. Well, but what it should have.
- 48:59We'll see what happens at the end of the year.
- 49:02What happened, Speaking of the end of the year, guys, who which
- 49:09manufacturers and as much as you can say, Reese, I know you're
- 49:11going to say Yamaha, but which who you know, which one walks
- 49:15away this weekend with the wins, the losses that we did all
- 49:19right? Because I mean, we see two
- 49:21Yamahas when BMW was on the podium, Ducati was on the
- 49:26podium, you know, what are your what are your thoughts, TJ?
- 49:30Which, which manufacturer walked away with the win?
- 49:34I mean, obviously, yeah, I got the win, but.
- 49:38I got to say BMW for me, like Sean Dillon, Kelly really proved
- 49:44that he's a really good rider and like getting on that bike
- 49:47and putting it on the podium. I just felt like it's a good
- 49:51start for them, you know? So it's definitely a a big win.
- 49:56That's that's what I'll say, BMW.
- 49:59I I like that I like that. I mean, listen, I mean you, you
- 50:03guys are the only ones that's not struggling Moto GP world
- 50:05super bike the Yamaha struggling.
- 50:08You guys out here, you know, you got back-to-back wins.
- 50:11I know you got you would have preferred to have the attack
- 50:13Yamaha get both. Can you answer the question
- 50:17subjectively? Yeah, my answer is subjective.
- 50:20I still say Yamaha. I mean, it's not even just, you
- 50:26know, because I'm there. It's literally, if you look at
- 50:29Race 1, you had Schultz, then you have Bobby sitting in second
- 50:35for a while until he crashed out.
- 50:38But then come Race 2, you had two Yamahas on a box.
- 50:42So, and overall, you know, there's got to be a Yamaha.
- 50:47And one broke, broke and limped across the line, right?
- 50:50Bobby, not Bobby, Matt limped across and then you had JD back
- 50:54and forth. So so I mean, both of your guys
- 50:57are in top five, both of your guys, all three guys are in top
- 51:00five when a lot, a lot of fans were counting this out like, oh,
- 51:04the Ducati and BMWs are going to run it, but I like, hey, don't
- 51:09poke a sleeping. Bear.
- 51:10OK, all right, all right, nothing.
- 51:12They hibernate though. Don't poke a sleeping bear, man,
- 51:18Leave them alone. What are your thoughts, Lewis,
- 51:21man? I mean, is, is it BMW that they
- 51:24kind of did all right? Is it Yamaha all the way?
- 51:29Ducati should have done better when you look at what was
- 51:31happening in in Wilson Bike. I think everything kind of fell
- 51:35right into place where it should be.
- 51:37You know, I think Yamaha, you know, is the veteran champion
- 51:40bike of the series for how many years now?
- 51:44You know, it's always been a competitive bike.
- 51:46Even when it's not competitive, it's still competitive.
- 51:48It still pulls out some some tents every year that weren't
- 51:52there the year before. A lot of people I know we're big
- 51:56on Ducati coming in this year and dominating, but this being a
- 51:59different Ducati than last year. And most of the teams didn't get
- 52:02their bikes till very, very late to even test.
- 52:05So like the Ray Hall team, I think they only got their bike
- 52:08like 2-3 weeks ago. So they've barely been able to
- 52:10test on his bike. So they've had, they have almost
- 52:12no data and all the data they they have is based on what
- 52:19they've done in Europe. And all the testing that they've
- 52:21done in Europe is based on Pirelli tires.
- 52:24So when you get that data here, now you have to kind of convert
- 52:27that data into how to make this work with Dunlop tires, which
- 52:31aren't the same beast. You know, they're just not, no
- 52:34matter what anybody thinks, they're not the same beast.
- 52:37They work differently and you kind of see it.
- 52:41You know, there's struggles with Cameron Beaubiet.
- 52:43You could see where he has speed, but he has some issues
- 52:46coming out of corners. It seems like coming out of
- 52:48corners, that bike wants to go left, right, left, right, left,
- 52:51right, left, right, straight. And it's because it's got, no,
- 52:53it's for some reason it can't put the power down because that
- 52:56rear tire is just not gripping up.
- 52:58Is that after you watch the P JS crash?
- 53:01No, that was he went. He went right, left, right,
- 53:03left, right. Left crash he.
- 53:05Was different. It wasn't the same.
- 53:08No, he went right, left, right, left, then over the bar, then
- 53:11splash. I I feel bad for PJ man.
- 53:14That was that was a hard crash because I mean, when you go face
- 53:17first like that, that that those are the ones that suck, man,
- 53:20because you wake up just looking at the dirt through your helmet.
- 53:23And what's bad is not. There.
- 53:26I put I put the 2 two videos together.
- 53:31He looked like if you go back, you know, back in the day, you
- 53:34he looked the way he crashed. He crashed and laid faith first
- 53:38into the ground looking like a Simicelli.
- 53:40He looked exactly like him. I was like, oh God, I.
- 53:44Was. Like God, I feel bad so.
- 53:47But, you know, so the Ducatis are going to have a little bit
- 53:50of a teething pain until they can kind of sort it out.
- 53:53And maybe they'll sort it out by like the third round or the
- 53:55fourth round. I mean, they have speed.
- 53:57That's one thing that Ducati does not miss.
- 54:01I'm surprised that, you know, BMW had two guys in the top five
- 54:07or six the first race and then two guys in the top ten in the
- 54:11second race. I mean, I know Jason Eribe hurt
- 54:14his hand. I think he's got like two or
- 54:16three broken bones in his wrist, but still finished to eke out a
- 54:20top 10 or top 11 in the second race.
- 54:23And SDK is showing that, you know, he can put it together.
- 54:27The bike and the team are working well and they've got a
- 54:30strong package. It's, it's going to be hard to
- 54:33say which manufacturer is really going to be the breakout.
- 54:36You know, I think for now I'll stick with Reese, with Yamaha,
- 54:40You know, I, I think those guys are, are nobody expects them to
- 54:44be doing much of anything every year.
- 54:46So it's, it's almost like every year they come in as the
- 54:47underdog because Ducati is going to do this and BMW is going to
- 54:51do that and somebody else is going to do that.
- 54:54But at the end of the day, you know, there's two Yamahas in the
- 54:56top 4, there's 3 Yamahas in the top 8, and after that, you know,
- 55:04it's a mix of Ducatis, Suzuki's and BMW.
- 55:08So I think Yamaha has the most people in that top 6-7 range
- 55:12right now. You had JD in fourth, you have
- 55:16Matt in second, you have Bobby in first and in race one, if you
- 55:21know JD didn't fry his clutch, he would have been probably on
- 55:25the podium. Nice, nice.
- 55:28I'm excited. I'll I'll say this guys, before
- 55:30we talk about world super bike a little bit and then get out of
- 55:32here and we talked a little bit about P JS crash.
- 55:37Should we? Should Motor America have been
- 55:38shown that crash over and over a few times?
- 55:42That's their MO, man. You know, that's their MO
- 55:46knocked out, man. I mean, let let's leave that for
- 55:48WWE. Any of these other sports.
- 55:52Like, you know, the man's knocked out.
- 55:54Like, why, why? Like why?
- 55:56Show it over. That's their MO, man.
- 55:59Knock them out like Fight Night. That's their MO for summary.
- 56:05I don't know who it is that their that does their like put
- 56:09together their their packet, their real packages and their
- 56:13producer that actually cuts the pieces for like Instagram,
- 56:17Facebook, social media, online, even their own internal
- 56:20commercials. But they love to, you know,
- 56:24crashes bring attention, man. When you're driving on the
- 56:26highway and you see a crash, everybody's looking, everybody's
- 56:32looking. Why is there so much traffic?
- 56:33Because everybody's looking. You fade out before he fades to
- 56:36black. Man, come on.
- 56:37Just you don't have to show that part.
- 56:44You know what I mean? I, I get, I get what you're
- 56:46saying. I mean, cause at least with Moto
- 56:48GP they, they tend to when it, when rider is out, they tend not
- 56:51to show that in Moto GP these days.
- 56:52Not to say that was always the case, but if a rider is out like
- 56:56the last couple of years, they don't really show it.
- 56:59Yeah, they don't. They don't show the after
- 57:00effects. They show the in action footage,
- 57:02the guy flying through the air, hitting the ground, sliding,
- 57:05stuff like that. But then they cut hard cut.
- 57:08But if you go watch it, you know the whole.
- 57:10You watch the release, then you see the.
- 57:16Guy all mangled and balled up in the corner.
- 57:18The guys running out with the little the big doctor signs.
- 57:27He looks like a racer. Let's let's talk let's talk
- 57:29about like which I'm happy that motorcycle racing is back here
- 57:35and and abroad. You know, we talked about ZX
- 57:39motor last time. We got a lot of we got a lot of
- 57:42people had a lot to say. ZX motor again looks pretty good
- 57:46out there in that super sport class.
- 57:49And I mean, I think he would have got away with it if Messi,
- 57:52German Messi, man, that boy can ride that.
- 57:56That was a that was a hell of a finish.
- 57:57What are you what are your thoughts on the Super sport
- 57:59class? We know Reese was was counting
- 58:02sheep. So what do you have to have to
- 58:04DJ? Oh, I mean the Super port class.
- 58:11I mean, yeah, that I didn't really see much of it either.
- 58:15But I mean, the there's the the CF Moto does vices pretty much
- 58:22killing the game right now. They're definitely stepping it
- 58:24up and showing that you know they're bite to be breaking
- 58:29with, you know, they they're pulling, pulling some strings
- 58:32right now. Right, right, right.
- 58:34No doubt. It seems like we might have to
- 58:37do the Apollo section here when they don't watch the the races,
- 58:40Reese I mean, Lewis, I don't know.
- 58:42You know we have time to watch all these races, right?
- 58:47Lewis on on the Super sport. No, I think I, I mean, I've
- 58:51always liked super sport, man. I always, I've always said that
- 58:54it's similar to Moto 2. It's like the most competitive
- 58:57racing for the most part. You can get groups of like up to
- 59:007 or 8. So it looks like a Moto 2 or
- 59:02Moto 3 grid sometimes and super sport, you know, especially now
- 59:06with the level of talent that's in super sport, it's crazy when
- 59:10you look at the names that are in super sport, it's like X
- 59:14Moto, 2X Moto, 2X Moto this X Moto.
- 59:17That's like, man, this is just like a, this is a killer's role.
- 59:21Like how do these people get on 9 hundreds?
- 59:25Like how do these people get on like super sport bikes?
- 59:27It's crazy. Dude, I feel bad for Cat, Cat on
- 59:30Chew 'cause I, I think he's, he's like, Manzi's gone all
- 59:34right? Nah, here comes, here comes all
- 59:37these other like killers. Just straight killers.
- 59:40Arenas. Arenas isn't playing.
- 59:41It is. I'm his first win since 2020.
- 59:47And that's the thing, once these guys, especially guys that
- 59:49haven't had a win in a long time, they've been battling,
- 59:52they get that first taste of Prosecco, man.
- 59:56They want more and they get that bonus check that they haven't
- 59:59seen in like 6 years. They definitely want more of
- 1:00:02those. I mean, I'm, I'm, you know, I'm
- 1:00:07super happy with the mix of bikes too.
- 1:00:10It's not just one manufacturer running away with it.
- 1:00:13Like there's our nines in there. There's a little bit of
- 1:00:15everything. It's not just one thing, It's
- 1:00:17not Ducati running away with it. It's not Yamaha running away
- 1:00:20with it. Like if the bikes are
- 1:00:22competitive, the bikes are pretty for the most part, they
- 1:00:26seem to be pretty evenly matched.
- 1:00:29Maybe some have a little bit of a gain here and a loss here and
- 1:00:33some of them have a loss here and a gain here.
- 1:00:34But I mean, this is this is turning out to be the better of
- 1:00:39the two championships this year because World Super bike outside
- 1:00:42of, you know, this weekend when ITCA finally like started
- 1:00:45stepping up, it's been a little bit of a snooze fest.
- 1:00:48Yeah, yeah, no, I, I, I agree the Super sport class has been
- 1:00:52really good. The sport bike classes as well.
- 1:00:56I got to say it's, it's it's fun to watch a little bit more speed
- 1:01:01than the 300 super sport that they that they were running.
- 1:01:04And it's and again, talk about mix of bikes, because you got
- 1:01:07the triumph six 60s in there. You got the Rs 660 in there, the
- 1:01:11Prolia, you got the R sevens, I believe, and also you got the
- 1:01:15Suzuki and I think there's even the Kawasaki in there too, if
- 1:01:18I'm not, if I'm not mistaken, in the in the sport bike class.
- 1:01:22But let's but let's talk about this super bike class before we
- 1:01:25get out of here. We do have Moto GP coming up
- 1:01:27this weekend. Ika's getting close guys.
- 1:01:31I mean, you know, I mean the rain.
- 1:01:33He definitely let some laps and and you know, I don't, I don't
- 1:01:37know. Buluga figured it out and put
- 1:01:41his head down and and and and and got the win.
- 1:01:44He he has thirteen wins in a row top to tie top rock in the in
- 1:01:50the most consecutive amount of win.
- 1:01:53Can the other BMWs stop? Buluga, PJ.
- 1:02:01Can the other BMW, the other Ducatis?
- 1:02:11My bad. I'm fine.
- 1:02:13I think the closest one is obviously Eagle Eagle.
- 1:02:17I hope that he would pull one out this weekend.
- 1:02:20But you know, Bulgar has just been too much.
- 1:02:24I mean, he's had Eco had, you know, a shot where, you know,
- 1:02:28Bulika, you know, sort of die bombed him, but it clean took
- 1:02:32took the lead. So yeah, I think it'll be a
- 1:02:36Ducati for sure now. Now take Bulika.
- 1:02:39I just don't know who, but I say Eco will be probably the first
- 1:02:42one. I mean, he's right behind him.
- 1:02:45He's his biggest Bullock, his biggest challenge right now.
- 1:02:49Right, right, right. So.
- 1:02:52Likewise our Reese, I mean, who's who's going to start
- 1:02:54Bulaga? I mean, when you have your, when
- 1:02:57you have a teammate that looks like they're going to be 1 and 2
- 1:03:00for the season. I I mean, you know when, when,
- 1:03:03when you're, when you're down and you're trying to get your
- 1:03:06rider to, to run up front. It's one thing when you're 1 and
- 1:03:092. What's the speech like?
- 1:03:13Just don't take each other out. That's pretty much it.
- 1:03:18Do what y'all do but just don't take each other out.
- 1:03:21No, no, you can say. Yeah, I mean, as a as, as a crew
- 1:03:25member, who do you root for? Who's bringing you coffee in the
- 1:03:27morning? Who says hello to you more, you
- 1:03:32know, as a rider? Just root for where we're going
- 1:03:38to win. That's it.
- 1:03:39One or the other, like is both on the same team.
- 1:03:41I'm like, well, we're getting a championship, so good luck that
- 1:03:48that that's. Pretty much.
- 1:03:49But you know, all jokes aside though, I mean, can anyone else?
- 1:03:52I mean, these other Ducatis, I mean, Batista looks good, not
- 1:03:56the Lowe's brother didn't crash and either one of them.
- 1:03:59So that's pretty good. All the Ducatis look pretty
- 1:04:01good. You know, for the most part.
- 1:04:03I think one race was like top five or something like that.
- 1:04:06Ducati's, I mean anyone you know, is it, is it something you
- 1:04:10can chip away at, you know, over, over the course of the
- 1:04:13season to, to get to you know, where you're, you're right,
- 1:04:16you're finishing only a half a second behind them, maybe even
- 1:04:19less. You can you can chip away just
- 1:04:22inch every so closer. But I mean, at this point in
- 1:04:25time, who's really going to beat Bullocka?
- 1:04:26I mean, it's like Lewis is sometimes becoming a snooze
- 1:04:29fest. And you know, I watched the the
- 1:04:31past rounds. Unfortunately, like I said, I
- 1:04:32didn't get a chance to watch this one because we were just
- 1:04:35slammed, you know, trying to get everything ready.
- 1:04:37But at this point in time, it's pretty much a Bullock series.
- 1:04:41It's just his. It's his championship to the I.
- 1:04:44I I disagree since I watched this weekend, it looked pretty
- 1:04:48close. We we can't forget about you
- 1:04:50know it, it will play a part in the championship.
- 1:04:56You know, Lewis, the the lowest brothers didn't crash this
- 1:04:59weekend. They look pretty good. 123
- 1:05:02Ducati, you know, not the same as last round because we had the
- 1:05:07BMW in there, you know, Petrucci finished in front of Oliveira.
- 1:05:13I said he had to do something. I think the man heard me, you
- 1:05:16know what I'm saying? So what?
- 1:05:17What are your thoughts? Yeah, this this championship is
- 1:05:22definitely Nicola Bulogas to lose like so that's that's a not
- 1:05:26even not a non starter. I mean, he, he, he had a quote
- 1:05:31this weekend that was pretty telling.
- 1:05:34He's saying he, he said he misses racing against top rack
- 1:05:39because it's lonely at the front.
- 1:05:44And it's like, damn, like that's kind of a slap in the face to
- 1:05:48the seven guys behind you. Careful what you wish for too,
- 1:05:51right? Because.
- 1:05:52Yeah, because and I and I know that, you know, we've spoken
- 1:05:56about this before. I know the Ika Lakawona is a
- 1:06:00talent. The dude can do a lot with a
- 1:06:02bike. I just think that Nicola Bulaga
- 1:06:05has got just that one extra thing that Ika doesn't have just
- 1:06:10yet. More, more see time on Ducati
- 1:06:12and you know, running against top rack for the last couple of
- 1:06:15years. Here's the thing.
- 1:06:17Yeah, exactly. You've been, you've been running
- 1:06:19with top rack. So you are, you're as sharp as
- 1:06:21you're ever going to be because you 2 sharpened each other to
- 1:06:24the point where you guys are the the razor blades in the in the
- 1:06:28class, Everybody else is a sword.
- 1:06:30You guys are razor blades. Nikolai now needs to sharpen
- 1:06:34himself into a razor blade if he really wants to compete with
- 1:06:37Nicola. And there's going to be tracks
- 1:06:39where he's probably going to compete because some of his
- 1:06:41skills work better there. But dude, when they get to the
- 1:06:44Italian rounds, you think you think Nicola is not going to
- 1:06:47stretch him something off of the Italian rounds when they get to
- 1:06:51some of these other races where like, you know, Nicolas
- 1:06:56strengths can really show he's he's just going to go back to
- 1:07:00stretching these guys and then managing the pace from the
- 1:07:02front. You know, and that's the other
- 1:07:03thing is right now Nicola is showing a level of mind
- 1:07:07strength, a level of mental fortitude.
- 1:07:10That's like next level because when you win this many races in
- 1:07:13a row, you are so mentally strong.
- 1:07:16Like you're so tuned into your bike, your tires, you know, you
- 1:07:20can feel every bolt in the bike vibrating through your butt
- 1:07:24cheeks, but you know, you, you, you know everything that's going
- 1:07:27on the bike. You can tell them.
- 1:07:29You can tell them how how tight the valve springs are.
- 1:07:32Like you're that tuned in with the bike?
- 1:07:35I'll play devil's advocate a little bit.
- 1:07:36You know, you, you, you know, you mentioned tap rock.
- 1:07:39You know, iron sharpeners, iron of his sword.
- 1:07:41Sharpen the sword. I mean, he could get bored.
- 1:07:46And and that's the only problem is he could get bored.
- 1:07:49But I think what will happen is they'll the world super bike
- 1:07:54will bring in the their rule where it either adds weight or
- 1:08:00brings down the RPM. They'll they'll bring in that
- 1:08:04rule that they have in place to like restrict riders that seem
- 1:08:07to be walking away with the championship.
- 1:08:10At a certain point, they're going to put that rule into
- 1:08:12place for him. They're going to either add
- 1:08:13reduce his RPMS or they're going to do something to slow him down
- 1:08:17because he can't just keep walking away like this.
- 1:08:21And they might do it for all the Ducatis, because Ducatis in
- 1:08:23general are kind of like running the show right now.
- 1:08:27Yeah, yeah. I mean, but the Yamahas, the
- 1:08:30Yamahas look good. They they look good this past
- 1:08:32weekend, so choppy looked good on on that 97.
- 1:08:38The big motors look good. Groloff looked good on the
- 1:08:40Cowie. I mean you know, even the BMWs
- 1:08:43are looking good guys. I mean you know what I mean It's
- 1:08:45it's it's close. I think Groloff.
- 1:08:48Was back in like I forgot what somebody said.
- 1:08:51Yeah, like 10. Yeah, but you can look good from
- 1:08:53back there. Look.
- 1:08:54Good. Did you?
- 1:08:55Say you look good back there. I mean just just the.
- 1:08:58Colors, you know, not crashing, just.
- 1:09:00Look good, not crashing, passing people, being active, being
- 1:09:04actively competitive. I got a question for Lewis,
- 1:09:12though, 'cause somebody asked me this question.
- 1:09:14It was like, why is there no ZX 10s actively competing in Moto
- 1:09:19America or anywhere besides the one of Garrett?
- 1:09:23I know the answer. Yeah, I gave an answer, but I
- 1:09:28want to hear Lewis's answer. It says no ZX10 money in the US.
- 1:09:34Like if you look at every manufacturer that's out there,
- 1:09:37people are racing them because there's some money to either be
- 1:09:39made or some money to help you go racing.
- 1:09:42Like Honda's putting a lot of money in right now.
- 1:09:44If you look at all the Hondas that are in stock 1000 class,
- 1:09:48you know, Andrew Lee this weekend won on the stock 1000
- 1:09:51class, which is races within the Super bike classes.
- 1:09:55Honda is putting out a lot of money for these people to go
- 1:09:57race. This is why they're doing it.
- 1:10:00You know, This is why they're out there because there's an
- 1:10:02opportunity to race to get paid, your bills paid for and probably
- 1:10:05make some money. But here in the US, Kawasaki
- 1:10:08racing is non existent. There's no money in it.
- 1:10:12They don't have any contingency support.
- 1:10:14They don't have any race support.
- 1:10:15They don't have anything, which is crazy to me because they were
- 1:10:18the number one selling motorcycle brand last year in
- 1:10:22the US, but they're investing 0.0 back into St. riding.
- 1:10:28They do a shit ton in the dirt with supercross and everything
- 1:10:32else, but when it comes to the street they invest 0.0, which is
- 1:10:36crazy when you think about the amount of ZX 10's and six three
- 1:10:40sixes and everything else that they sell here in the US.
- 1:10:44Now, how many of those 63 sixes actually make it out of the
- 1:10:46showroom floor without imploding?
- 1:10:48That's a different story. But they should just fix that.
- 1:10:51That's, you know, that's just a shitty bike, but you know,
- 1:10:53they're, they used to have AZX 9 years ago.
- 1:10:57Oh yeah, I remember. They could be racing AZX 9 in
- 1:11:01Super Sport technically, but they're not.
- 1:11:04They're not doing anything that shows that they want to actually
- 1:11:07competitively be in Rd. racing outside of the 300 and the 400.
- 1:11:13And that's it. There's no replacement for a 636
- 1:11:18that can be used in Super Sport, there's no ZX10R that is getting
- 1:11:24any kind of push in the US to go racing here, and there's a lot
- 1:11:27of fast guys that'll be willing to jump on a Kawasaki if
- 1:11:30Kawasaki was actually willing to put some money forward.
- 1:11:32But they're just not. Right, Tough, tough, tough
- 1:11:39business guys. We got Moto GP this coming
- 1:11:42weekend in Spain and before we get out of here, what are you,
- 1:11:48what are you hoping to expect as far as you know?
- 1:11:54Is Zuccotti going to be back on top?
- 1:11:56Run away with it? What what, what are you thought?
- 1:11:58Just thought with TJ, go around the horn and also pick your
- 1:12:01writers for Sprint and GP. So we so no one gets the DNF.
- 1:12:08Lewis I. Was expecting Zuccotti to bounce
- 1:12:14back at least so they can, you know, compete a little more with
- 1:12:19Aprilia. So hoping to see that and the
- 1:12:25way Martinez riding, he's competing for a championship
- 1:12:29right now. So I'm hoping to see that Bez
- 1:12:32will stay on track and you know, compete for a title for himself.
- 1:12:38You know, so hopefully he can continue winning because I
- 1:12:42thought about it, I think it'll be very it'll it'll probably be
- 1:12:44devastating to see Martine win a championship on Aprilia after
- 1:12:48the work that best put in. So I'm just hoping that he can
- 1:12:52stay, you know, the number one guy and not see Martine kind of
- 1:12:56tip away. So hopefully best game, you
- 1:12:59know, be a mistake free and hopefully see Ducati bounce back
- 1:13:02a little bit all. Right, OK, no doubt.
- 1:13:05So who you who your 3 writers for the Sprint and and three
- 1:13:09riders for the the main race and they can be 1 and the same
- 1:13:12depends on what you want to do. So y'all gonna have to come back
- 1:13:15to me on that one because y'all always get me to go first.
- 1:13:18So I gotta think, I gotta think about this for a second.
- 1:13:21I'll I'll even go second. Give give me a second on that.
- 1:13:25You got it, Reed Lewis. Who?
- 1:13:27Who wants it? I'll take it where we going, I
- 1:13:34would say. Hey.
- 1:13:44Martine, Mark, Mark and. Bez.
- 1:13:49Yeah, Bez. OK, safe bet there, right there.
- 1:13:55And for the race? Is it for both I'm?
- 1:13:58Going No, I'm going for what? Bez Mark and I'm going Acosta.
- 1:14:10OK, Yeah. That's a little bit of a tough
- 1:14:19one. I this I predict that this
- 1:14:22weekend Bizecki's race win streak will come to an end.
- 1:14:28So that is, that means that I need to go ahead and I need to
- 1:14:35pick a winner that's not going to be Bazecki for the actual
- 1:14:38race, OK? And I don't think Bazecki's
- 1:14:41going to win the Sprint. OK.
- 1:14:43So I'm going to go Marquez, Martine, Acosta and the Sprint.
- 1:14:52OK. And I'm going to go Martine,
- 1:14:56Marquez and Bazecki in the race. OK, I like that.
- 1:15:00That's not bad. I hate to give my team credit,
- 1:15:05but we've seen what he did last last time out both races.
- 1:15:11I think he's finally kind of getting over his injuries and
- 1:15:15you know, the Aprilia has shown that it is the bike to beat.
- 1:15:19It's got that one little step up on the Ducati.
- 1:15:22I think Ducati will maybe close the gap a little bit this week,
- 1:15:25but I still think in the short race and in the long race,
- 1:15:31Bazecki will not be in the top step.
- 1:15:33I think there'll be two different Spaniards at the top
- 1:15:35step. Wow.
- 1:15:36Yeah. OK, You you ready, TJ?
- 1:15:39You want me to go for you? No, I I can pick.
- 1:15:42So yeah, I was going to say the the Sprint.
- 1:15:46I'll say Mark Bazecki and Acosta and then I'll say for.
- 1:15:56So that's the Sprint GPI got to say Mark Pezzacki and Martine.
- 1:16:06Man, all right, all right, hey, that's pretty good.
- 1:16:10So I'm going to go with Martine for both Sprint and main race.
- 1:16:19I'm going to go with Bez for the main race.
- 1:16:26Man, this is tricky. I'm going to go with Agura for
- 1:16:31the main race and then I what I need one more for the Sprint.
- 1:16:36Now that's tough. I'm going to go with.
- 1:16:47I'm going to go with Digia in the Sprint.
- 1:16:51I'm going with. Digia, he is on the street.
- 1:16:54Yeah, yeah. I'll go with Digia in the Sprint
- 1:16:57so. No, I think I'm I'm not rooting
- 1:17:00for Digi this weekend. I'm hoping he falls apart this
- 1:17:03weekend. As you can see, the scores,
- 1:17:10guys, not too shabby. Not too shabby.
- 1:17:15At some point I'll have the rules.
- 1:17:16Who know? I don't know exactly how it
- 1:17:17works, but you know. There's a, there's a Gray area,
- 1:17:22you know? There's always a Gray area, you
- 1:17:25know. Well, that was the thought room,
- 1:17:29but we're working on to the fourth room.
- 1:17:31Long as I'm in the middle. Long as I'm in the middle then.
- 1:17:35But I think, well, I can I show the host, there we go.
- 1:17:42Gives us some totals. So not too bad. 171 for me.
- 1:17:48TJ 144, Reese one 57 and Lewis won 47.
- 1:17:55And and I didn't even did I miss around.
- 1:17:57Yeah, you did. So look at.
- 1:17:59That man I should be like 200 something points.
- 1:18:03That's what all races say, huh? Exactly.
- 1:18:06You know what man? That was?
- 1:18:08That was my weekend of not actively competing.
- 1:18:11There you go. All racing shirts I'm.
- 1:18:22Not actively competing. Can't.
- 1:18:26Afford no DNS. Can't afford no DNS.
- 1:18:29No, no, you might get away with one, but not many more.
- 1:18:34It's a long season. So guys, I want to thank you for
- 1:18:38coming on. We got TJ with two wheels and
- 1:18:41coffee. We got Reese from Attack Yamaha.
- 1:18:43Congrats. Over the weekend we got the real
- 1:18:45Louis Ortega. Glad to see you upright again,
- 1:18:48man Peace. Peace.
- 1:18:51Take care everyone.
