- 0:00So to just launch into it. Yeah, dude, whatever, he's ready,
- 0:03whatever the fuck, whatever the fuck, were just driving, were just
- 0:06driving, ship word, what's happening? Ladies and jellysmimons And that feels like
- 0:13an omen I started the show about the time we went to UH to see
- 0:23a good friend of the show and longtime friend of mine, David Adomino play
- 0:29Max Biali Stock and the Producers an incredible performance. I mean, everybody in
- 0:40that show was outstanding. That show was just outstanding as a general rule,
- 0:44like it was phenomenal. It is really good, like the show itself is
- 0:50to begin with this amazing, but then you get the fucking cast like that,
- 0:55like that professional and god damn it, dude, it was so good.
- 1:00Before getting too far into it, did you want to, oh kay,
- 1:06did you want to tell everybody your experience with producers? First? None?
- 1:11Literally none. I had I had never seen the producers. I had
- 1:17never seen any version of it. I knew of it. I knew parts
- 1:22about it, like, for example, I knew that the musically put on
- 1:25was called Springtime for Hitler. There's there's a lot that I did not know
- 1:30and found fastly amusing. What was what was funny to me? Was I
- 1:37mean, aside from aside from the Grannies, which were just generally always funny
- 1:42to me, Grannies were pretty damn amazing. Yes, keep going straight.
- 1:47Yeah, I hate this thing. I remember this, Yep, I've been
- 1:49down here once. It's it's freaky being in the left hand lane. Yeah,
- 1:56and then it doesn't help. May we have the fog going to on
- 1:57top of it, brit feels like maybe this is like the ukge. Yeah,
- 2:06so anyway, Yeah, I had never seen anything new of the movie
- 2:08with zero Mustelle and Gene Wilder, knew of the the Broadway revival of Nathan
- 2:14Lane and Matthew Broderick and all that ship, had just never never seen it,
- 2:19never never got around seeing it, never never had a production of it
- 2:23in my area. Really, that's true to you anywhere? Hear us?
- 2:27Yeah? Not not, not that I know of anyway, And and certainly
- 2:30nobody that I know was in a production of it. So so it kind
- 2:35of flew under my radar. I mean, I knew it was gonna be
- 2:38funny. It's It's mel Brooks. How can it not be? But yeah,
- 2:42pretty much everything melt Books does. I'm not gonna say is gold because
- 2:45there's a couple are like okay, yeah, and that there are some jokes
- 2:47that haven't aged well right, which it happens everything though too. Yeah.
- 2:53Having having said that, like the Springtime for Hitler, the whole the whole
- 2:58segment was just pure mad like I absolutely I I loved every second of that.
- 3:04That was it is super never a bad time to ship on Hitler.
- 3:12And the guy who played the director Slash, stepped in to play Hitler at
- 3:17the last minute. That guy was so good. He was incredible, absolutely
- 3:27incredible, even just so impressed with everybody, so impressed with everybody. I
- 3:34mean, obviously Dave, like I knew I knew going in Dave was gonna
- 3:38knock it out of the bar, like he does everything with the level of
- 3:45talent that he brings to the table, it's just awesome. It's always I've
- 3:51never I've never seen I've never seen or heard a bad performance from him.
- 3:54Ever, this when not even when you were in college, not even not
- 4:00even the Resident Evil movie and the the the what was that the River City
- 4:06Ransom movies before before college, in in high school, like when he did
- 4:13that ship in high school, Like even then, he's easily one of the
- 4:17most entertaining parts of those movies. Like it's hard not to enjoy him in
- 4:24those And I'll be honest, I love those movies. But not everybody's up
- 4:29to his level. We're even close. But that's like fair to say with
- 4:34anything. I mean, yeah, he was. He was killing it even
- 4:38back in the day, so it was I was not surprised that his performance
- 4:43was as good as it was. I knew I was going to enjoy it.
- 4:46I think it's everything else that's surprised me. Did you know you're gonna
- 4:48enjoy it that much? Yeah, I had a feeling I would. I
- 4:53went in knowing this was gonna be a good day one way or the other.
- 4:56Like that's that's a David Atovino guarantee. He's gonna he's gonna pleasure you.
- 5:00Yeah, he's gonna fully pleasure you from and you're you're you're not gonna
- 5:05be the same after the experience here. You always come awa changed a little
- 5:09bit every time. I'm still sticky, ye, then yeah, that note,
- 5:21I'm not the one who ran to hug him in the last second.
- 5:24I love him so much, dude, Like he's such a great guy and
- 5:29he's an incredible human and he's taught me a lot. Like I obviously I
- 5:32don't know him as well as you do. You guys went to school together.
- 5:35I've only known him through you and then he sung out with a few
- 5:38times with us. But in a few times hanging out with him, I've
- 5:42been confident enough to just d M him message him when we talked, dude,
- 5:45like mostly it's about recording equipment and like actual physical equipment and sounded engineer
- 5:50crap, because he knows all that stuff. He knows microphones all that,
- 5:54and me I don't, so I asked the guy does, and then before
- 6:00going ahead with the audio book for Thane and me being nervous and paranoid the
- 6:04whole fucking time, like I don't want to fuck this up and ship almost
- 6:09like the Jam Hughes thing with fucking Alan Rickman. You know, it's like
- 6:13I'm doing something with real fucking professionals and not have to say you're not a
- 6:17professional or anything. But there's other like there's other people in this thing that's
- 6:21way up there, and it's like, fuck, man, if I didn't
- 6:25like step up my game, like I'm gonna look like a jump and everybody
- 6:30else I mean, and it's it's very clearly had nothing to worry about.
- 6:35You stepped up your well. I think a lot of it came to one
- 6:39year direction, which helped a ton, and like the emphasis on where I
- 6:43had to be, and then talking to Dave, like the two or three
- 6:46days prior, because I kept going to him for advice. I'm like,
- 6:48hey, man, like what should I do to warm up? What should
- 6:50I do about this? Like? How should I like take this thing?
- 6:54He was really cool about all of him. Man. Yeah, like he's
- 6:57just an all around good guy. He's he loves his Yeah, he's a
- 7:00fantastic just just from head to tout, absolutely perfect. The world is better
- 7:06with him in for sure. And I'm sure his wife and children degree,
- 7:14Yes, I'm pretty sure. Yeah. So why don't we talk about the
- 7:17beginning of the trip first? Yeah, we started at the end. We
- 7:20started. Yeah, sorry, we we just we just left there were just
- 7:26so excited. We just had a great time. So this day was planned
- 7:30to start with. We came out the game and yeah, it's we were
- 7:39We were planning on heading to Rochester and we decided to do a couple of
- 7:42things. First off, we made the hour and fifteen minute trip, hour
- 7:47and a half trip something like that. And got to ROCHESTERA and and we
- 7:56took a stop at the largest court game store. While all right, largest
- 8:00game store in America, the largest game store in the US, shoot the
- 8:07entire country, or at least it was at some point, because they still
- 8:11touted largest game store in the US. We're not getting off. I guess
- 8:18we're staying all right. I just got confused for a second. It's all
- 8:22good, It's like it looks weird. So we went to the largest sport
- 8:30games store in the US Millennium games. Yes. And this when I say
- 8:35it's the largest game store in the US, imagine imagine a full Sears Yes,
- 8:41like an honest Scott, an honest Scott in honest Scott's department store,
- 8:46except take all the department ship out and just fill it with games. Yes,
- 8:50Like half of half of the building is this giant ass playroom with tables
- 8:56and chairs and ship all set up ready to go. I think there is
- 9:00some open box games in there. I don't know. I never went in.
- 9:03I couldn't go in today because they were having some kind of tournament.
- 9:05A lot of Yeah, they had some kind of tournament going on. And
- 9:09so I didn't go in the back this time, and the first time I
- 9:13went, I didn't go in the back either, just because I didn't look
- 9:16like I'd seen. I was more interested in picking stuff up. Uh and
- 9:22and uh also I didn't know anybody, so that always puts a stop to
- 9:26my exploring, especially places where I may not belong I don't like. Uh.
- 9:37So I turned around and like, I'd much rather look at stuff I
- 9:39could buy. So and then the other half of the building is full of
- 9:43stuff you can buy, yes, I said, there is. There is
- 9:48an entire uh, there was an entire wing. I should say that is
- 9:54just war games and war games and minis. And then the the other wing
- 10:00is more like family friendly stuff and some It also got some Manda yes,
- 10:03and and a lot of a lot of cool like they had like I think
- 10:07they were Japanese like vending machines, alls gotcha machines. Yeah, yatcha machine.
- 10:15Yeah, they had little gotcha machines, which I thought was a really
- 10:16cool touch. And of course, I, you know me, like I
- 10:22went straight to the board games and I was like, now it's it's not
- 10:26a matter of how much I'm spending, it's a matter of what I'm spending
- 10:28that money on, he's already gone, already spend I walked every time I'm
- 10:35walk into a Millennium Games because it's an hour and fifteen minutes away. Every
- 10:39single time I'm walking with the intention of not coming out with less than one
- 10:41hundred dollars worth of stuff because it's such a long trip. Like I want
- 10:46to make sure it's worth it. Not like I didn't make that decision myself,
- 10:50but anyway, you know, and I'm an adult and I can do
- 10:54what I want. But having said that, I'm like, let's make it
- 10:56worth it. So I you know, I looked around and I found some
- 11:01stuff, and uh, they have a massive section of used games. Yeah,
- 11:07I think that whole wall, which I was impressed by. Like I'm
- 11:09like thinking about seriously, like the next time I come up, just just
- 11:13putting a ton of used games that if we don't play anymore, they're just
- 11:18sitting in my closet, just throw them in the trunk and bring with me,
- 11:22uh and maybe see if I can get some store credit for them.
- 11:26It'd be worth it, especially for you if they're games you're not gonna play,
- 11:28and you know there's games there that you will play, Yeah, absolutly.
- 11:33Uh. And I picked up I picked up a game that I've been
- 11:35after for a long time. It's been on my wish list for quite some
- 11:39time. It's it's called Multiplay Now and it's a it's a worker placement games
- 11:45about lamas. What yeah, are trying to farm at? I think you
- 11:50might be a Lama rancher. I'm not entirely sure how it works, yeah,
- 11:56but I'm pretty sure that's your job. Like you, you're basically hurting
- 11:58lamas, ring out with pack us and whatever. So looking forward to that
- 12:03absurdity. That sounds fun, man, Like, let's get stoned and play
- 12:07that game. It should it should be fun. Let's do edibles and loves,
- 12:11Let's do this. That sounds like a band named Waiting. We happened
- 12:18right? Yeah, this story was nice. Man. It was so much
- 12:20D and D stuff in there, Like it was kind of ridiculous, between
- 12:24miniatures, dice books out, I mean, everything you can think of for
- 12:28D and D. It was kind of nice. They even had some of
- 12:31the because I know now it's only fifth edition and ship I'm not into fifth
- 12:35but three point five was my game and I'll even point it out like how
- 12:39like like he ran all role playing game with us, so when he was
- 12:45surprised at like the fact that they had an entire bookshelf, like the top
- 12:50shelf, bottom shelf full of boks. Yeah, like endless material too,
- 12:58yeah, and one supplemental stuff, Like there was so much of everything,
- 13:03Like you walk in and there's just so much. Like I was hard pressed
- 13:09to think of a game that they didn't have, aside from like you know,
- 13:13really old stuff that could possibly still have wound up being in their use
- 13:16games, right ship, dude. I even got because they have tables throughout
- 13:20the place with like discounts, like discount of table stuff. You know.
- 13:24The table I found was seventy percent and I found a Checkers game that was
- 13:30what was it, uh? I remember for Christmas Checkers game seventy percent off.
- 13:35I was like it it cost me five books, and I was like,
- 13:39yeah, I feel like I know who might love that. Yeah,
- 13:41that's where it's going. And I got I got a manga for the kid
- 13:45nice yeah, yeah, Demon Slayers, Like let's let's teach it the right
- 13:50way like Beckwards because of the teats. The right way read you read from
- 13:56right to left, left to rights. Yeah, occover on cover too,
- 14:01Like that was a culvert school. Even tells you if you open it up
- 14:05from like the leftover, if you're gonna start, it tells you you're reading
- 14:09from the wrong side America American read Bega right. Well, that place was
- 14:16definitely impressive. We spent like about an hour there, I think because I
- 14:20went through the store of minimum three times. I went around three. Yeah.
- 14:26I kept coming back and forth and back and forth, waffling on what
- 14:28I wanted. Finally Augie brought a piece of wisdom to me. He's like,
- 14:33you don't have to buy three games. And I was like, I
- 14:35don't have to buy three games, like you used the Jedi mind Ship game
- 14:41and then splurge for your seat. He's like, yeah, then you can
- 14:45spoorge on dinner. Like I wasn't going to do that anyway. You are
- 14:48a slave thinking motherfucker. But to be fair, I was like this is
- 14:52this definitely made me feel better about getting the dessert because I was like,
- 14:56I didn't spend the game, so I'm spending ten on it. It's not
- 15:00that bad money this way. Yeah, So it speaking, which so I
- 15:03came out of it with Ultiplano and what else, Oh, the Taverns of
- 15:07Teethenthal, Yeah, which is another strategy game about, you know, building
- 15:13the best tavern and getting all the customers and so forth. So I'm looking
- 15:18forward to I'm looking forward to that. And uh, yeah, that's that's
- 15:22what I got. Did you get anything or no? Fair enough? Fair
- 15:28enough? So we went from there and decided to get a bite to eat.
- 15:33We had a couple of options. Uh, there was a cafe literally
- 15:37right next to the theater, but we took a look at the online menu,
- 15:41and not for nothing, it was it was a lot of a lot
- 15:45of vegan stuff. Like I don't I don't have an objection to that,
- 15:48but it's it's just not my bag. I mean, I don't mind if
- 15:54somebody took me, like if somebody, like if Caroline took me to a
- 15:58vegan rest, like, yeah, I'll try something stuff, sure, But
- 16:02you know, the three of us had our choice. So I'm like,
- 16:04let's let's get something almost get something a little bit more on our speed.
- 16:08And I was, I was, I was starving. I was so hungry.
- 16:11I'd barely eaten anything for breakfast. So I was like, let's get
- 16:15a proper meal and I'm glad I did because we went to a place called
- 16:18the Distillery. Yeah. Uh, and this is it was like it was
- 16:22not far from the it was surprisingly not so funny how close we were point
- 16:33we could walk, it was we could have walked. It was a two
- 16:34minute drive. Were seriously could have walked. Yeah, it's called the Distillery.
- 16:41It's a little it's a little bar and restaurant. It's it's it's it's
- 16:45like crapped is like a sports mar because there's TVs fucking everywhere, and I
- 16:48mean everywhere, like they're side by side, like there's I'm pretty sure there
- 16:52were TVs on the ceiling. There might have even been one on the floor.
- 16:55I don't know. They were everywhere. They were fucking everywhere. You
- 16:56couldn't turn around without walking into a fucking TV. Like god damn. That's
- 17:03pretty much all we did throughout the meal. I was I was kind of
- 17:06irritated. I'm like, I wish the TV would go away. So we
- 17:08just talk and none of us don't really talk about it. What was like,
- 17:12Yeah, yeah, so we were hypnotized. It's our generation, but
- 17:18we grew up with those TVs. Man, it fights like an attraction it's
- 17:21almost like a fucking mosquito today. To be fair, we're still addicted to
- 17:25screens and I know, I am, you know, it's still We were
- 17:30out, we were having a good time. Uh and uh So we went
- 17:33to this place and I was, I was, I don't know what I
- 17:34was expecting, Like the reviews are good but not great, Like I think
- 17:38they have a four point one out of five, so solid but not not
- 17:44not the best ever. So I was a little bit nervous when I walked
- 17:45in and I was like, oh, this place is your dead? It
- 17:48was. Nobody here was like yeah it was. It was. I mean,
- 17:53it was raining, so I'm not surprised if people just chose not to
- 17:56come out today until but we were like fuckhead, we were like this,
- 18:03just walk in and just just have it right time. Uh So we sat
- 18:07down and this this waitress came over and at first she she couldn't be less
- 18:11interested. I was. I was genuinely like, wow, she is not
- 18:15having it. She's not please, She's just yeah, what can I get
- 18:18you to eat here? Yeah? Now, mind you? She she perked
- 18:25up over the course of the thing. I think did I think maybe she
- 18:27was like like though I don't know what. Maybe she thought something about us
- 18:30and then realized she was wrong. I don't Here's the other thing. Yes,
- 18:33I was coming back from the restroom and she left early. She was
- 18:37leaving because she just like, like you leaving the shift or She's like,
- 18:41no, I'm not feeling well. And I was like, yeah, she's
- 18:41gonna go. Oh I didn't know. Yeah, so I guess she was
- 18:45sick, not feeling well. No, neither of us, none of it.
- 18:48She didn't say anything. I just happened to overhear them as I was
- 18:52walking back because she was leaving. I was like, oh, well that
- 18:53makes sense. So she was just tribbles to feel like shit, Well she
- 18:57was a ruder. I mean, no, she wasn't. She wasn't.
- 19:00She just wasn't good. Yeah, she wasn't. She wasn't in a great
- 19:03mood. You can tell which. And I didn't know if it was us
- 19:07or what. But now I'm glad to well, I'm not glad, I'm
- 19:08glad to know it wasn't us, but I'm sorry she was. Ye,
- 19:11but but but she definitely improved, Like by the time, she was super
- 19:17kind and courteous and she was she was double checking that we had all the
- 19:19stuff we wanted. Like. She was honestly great. Yeah, And now
- 19:22that I know she was sick by the first part, I'm like, man,
- 19:26uh, solid work. I'm glad I overtook her. I took her
- 19:29like thirty three percent. I gave her a full ten bucks on a thirty
- 19:32dollars to have. I'm like, fuck it, dude, it is but
- 19:37I got. Let's see, I got. I got a bacon burger uh
- 19:41and fries. And when I tell you that this is one of the best
- 19:48burgers, I think I've ever had that good. It was so good,
- 19:52brother, it was so good. The juice was dripping down the side of
- 19:57my lips, like like all the way down my chin. It was.
- 20:00It was just it was absolutely perfect. The bacon was great. It was
- 20:07was crispy but not too crispy. And it was cooked the medium well,
- 20:15which is what I always asked for. And they usually get it wrong.
- 20:18They usually do it very well. What well done? Yeah, and I
- 20:26want it done, you know, pretty well, but not blackened, you
- 20:30know what I mean. So very pleased with the burger I got. It
- 20:34was delicious, and those fries were excellent. They were so good. They
- 20:38were exact kind of fries. I like, yeah, well, I mean
- 20:42not not not the uber thick ones. Yeah, not the wedges, but
- 20:48but they were they were individual fries, but they were cut thick, a
- 20:51lot thicker than like crinkle cut. But yeah, like crinkle cut size without
- 20:56the crinkle. Yeah, that that size. It is so good, so
- 21:00good. I ended up getting potato skins and fried pickles because I don't know,
- 21:07I'm fucking weird, honestly, Like I was looking at the menu and
- 21:11I couldn't decide on an actual like a main course, Like, yeah,
- 21:17I should have tried. I should have tried. One was good for it.
- 21:22I mean the fried parks definitely not. They were fried in fucking butter
- 21:25milk batter. So that was like a heart attack. I'm sure that's definitely
- 21:27not healthy for me, but it was. It was good. I like,
- 21:30I really enjoy my PEPSI hell, yeah, I'll good you several wings
- 21:37and uh got foot buffalo gets wings? Makes sense? Yeah they were pretty
- 21:42good. Yeah they were good man. They were barbecuings. Yeah yeah,
- 21:48yeah, yeah, they look good. I was tempted to ask for one,
- 21:52but I'm like, uh, I'm gonna I'm gonna respect the man,
- 21:56but it was nice. We looked out there for a bit too, because
- 21:57we had so much time. We had we had so much time. In
- 22:00fact, we had too much. We found out too our dismay. But
- 22:06anyway, before we left, just to extend the time we were there,
- 22:08and also because I didn't buy that fourth Report game, I got Apple crispe
- 22:14for dessert. Yeah. This was incredible. When I tell you, I
- 22:18mean when I tell you that, this is one of the best dining out
- 22:22experiences I've had for a long time, like probably the best since Arthur's Holy
- 22:26Ship. Yeah, man, it was. It was so good. The
- 22:32burger, Yeah, absolutely, the burger, the fucking fries, the pile
- 22:36of crisp, paller mode. Everything was perfect and delicious and fantastic. Yes,
- 22:42so yeah, I was. I was. I was bowled over by
- 22:45how good the distillery was. Yeah, considering the reviews, the great ist
- 22:49and it was just like a sports bar in the middle of Rochester And you
- 22:55know, reviews weren't great, but I mean that food was absolutely spectacular.
- 22:59I mean, bravo, Like if if those reviews are must be indicative of
- 23:04how they were, and they've been improving because I mean honestly, it was
- 23:07so good. Yeah. I would definitely go back to it again. Yeah,
- 23:10I would eat there again one thousand percent. I would eat there again.
- 23:12I would specifically go back there. Yeah, it's like a game.
- 23:18It's a distillery run, you know, seriously, might as well combined the
- 23:22two get dinner when you're there after two. So we rolled out of the
- 23:27restaurant at like what was a quarter to six something like that, something like
- 23:33that seven, and we're like, okay, let's roll over and see where
- 23:37the theater is. And it was like, literally we made two turns and
- 23:38we were there. Yeah. And when I say two turns, I mean
- 23:41we drove out of the parking lot for about ten seconds, made a turn,
- 23:45followed that for about five more seconds, made another turn. Oh look,
- 23:48we're in the parking lot at the theater. Like literally just Katie corner
- 23:52to the fucking restaurant. I could have walked. I could have watched,
- 23:56because I could have I could have picked Stevie up and thrown him there easily.
- 24:00Like like it was it was so close, like we were like,
- 24:03what the hell did we just do? Yeah, and so we're like it's
- 24:07five forty five. The show doesn't start into seven thirty. Now what do
- 24:10we do? Are we just gonna sit around and bullshit for an hour and
- 24:12a half? Uh And and that's when Stevie said, there are any arcades
- 24:17here? And I'm like arcades ship all right? Right? So I look
- 24:21it up in the map, like arcades and I can't. There was a
- 24:22v arcade which might have been fun but probably would have been expensive. Yeah.
- 24:27Expensive, and again touching other people's VR stuff. I had not like
- 24:30that. I had my own. People are dirty, man, and other
- 24:36people are really fucking dirty. They're not as clean as me. I'm anacause
- 24:38I'm a neat freak man. Oh god, I couldn't even again on their
- 24:42skin's you weirdo? But yeah, found a found an arcade out of your
- 24:52arcade. Yeah the other there was another one, but it was it was
- 24:56closing at six, and I'm like, we're not We're not gonna make it
- 24:57there, and like what I so we got Dave and Busters, Daven fucking
- 25:03Busters what I'm all right? This fuck it? This could be fun.
- 25:11Have been to David Buss years Yeah, but we have no plans to go
- 25:15back. Yeah, Like the feel like the idea was strong. Have a
- 25:21borrowing video game cool ship. Yeah, it was a great idea, great
- 25:25concept. The way they did it did not achieve what it should up.
- 25:27Yeah yeah, I mean it's just it's just the fact that it's a giant
- 25:30rip off. It makes it hard to makes it hard to swallow. So,
- 25:34like we got the package, like you could get like for twenty five
- 25:38bucks, not twenty bucks. Twenty five you get one hundred credits. Mind
- 25:42you, each game requires at minimum seven. Like, I didn't see a
- 25:48single game that costs less than seven of these credits, so I'm like Jesus,
- 25:53and most cost more than that. Yeah, those where ticket vertable too,
- 26:00Yeah ticket any machine that would hurt tickets towards their their tickets there or
- 26:07at least a bit of ten. It depended. It depended on the game.
- 26:12Like the Monopoly one that I played was ten. Uh. The trivia
- 26:17one that I played was seven, And so I did a lot of the
- 26:21trivia games because I fucking wreck the trivia because I enjoy that ship. I
- 26:26like knowing useless stuff. So anyway, so I played a bunch of that
- 26:33I played. I pretty much stuck to like the game show on trivia stuff
- 26:37just because I wasn't really feeling any of the games that they had. I
- 26:41mean, granted, once I saw you guys on the Mario Card, I
- 26:42did want to do that, but I was out of credits. Well we
- 26:48did. By the time you guys were done, it was time to go,
- 26:51so we found I found it too late, basically, But there's a
- 26:53bunch of there's a bunch of shooting games and racing games, and there there
- 26:57was one Guitar Hero game, but every time I saw it, it was
- 27:00occupied, and I was like, I wanted to play that with you so
- 27:03bad. I would. I wouldn't have been a hot would have been like
- 27:06easier off to hook off, to bring over my external heart driveing up a
- 27:11clone Hero and we can hook up a couple of guitars and play like we
- 27:15got. I could play to all the songs and a microphone microphones. Well
- 27:22it's a PC slash Microsoft Xbox. We're good, while you're a guitar,
- 27:29We're good. I mean it's from three sixty. Are will still work Fox
- 27:33one here? All right? They did on the old one ship. I'm
- 27:37in bring your over, But yeah, I say, I think I still
- 27:41have rockmand three or four on the fucking p S four ship I think I
- 27:47remember, I remember jumping through fucking hoops to get all my songs back.
- 27:52That was not fun. That was not fun because we we downloaded so many
- 27:56songs for Rockman went to and three, and they were transferable between those three
- 28:00games. So when you played rock Band three, you can still access all
- 28:03your old DLC unless they weren't licensed again, which I think a couple of
- 28:07songs happened, but none of the ones we balked it. You got to
- 28:11keep mall every rush song. Fuck yes pack Yeah, the coh Cambria stuff
- 28:18fuckcast absolutely so good. Unfortunately, did you get the plane, your guitar,
- 28:23your old rock band there, No, but we would love to.
- 28:27I would love to do that, Chicken. Yeah, Oggie and I did
- 28:30a motorcycle racing game. Yeah, that was fun. That was love.
- 28:34Yeah I did. Let's see. I played the Tribute one. I enjoyed
- 28:38that. I played the Dealer No Deal game. That game is genuinely fun.
- 28:41That is genuinely fun. And I should have I should have stuck to
- 28:45my guns. I had it. I played the game down to a fifty
- 28:48to fifty and I had I had either fifty tickets or beats. Oh wow,
- 28:52and the deal was for thirty. Oh. It was like, so
- 28:55the deal is actually in my favor. I'm like, oh, ship for
- 28:57the deal. I took the deal for the thirty. And then it turned
- 29:00out I had the fifties actually gave away twenty like you saw. But then
- 29:06I played the fucking Monopoly game and I racked that thing. I mean,
- 29:11it's it's a it's it's not the greatest game in the world. It's it's
- 29:14really Monopoly dumbed down to an unbelievable Like it's just a spinner game. You
- 29:18grab a spinner and spin it and that determines what role you get. And
- 29:23if you if you land on a place that doesn't have any hotels, you
- 29:26immediately place a hotel on it and you get the rent for without a hotel.
- 29:32Yeah. Oh you just you just land on you just own it,
- 29:33like it's just just just And some some spaces start with hotels on them immediately,
- 29:38so you can actually get up a monopoly pretty quickly. Nice, and
- 29:42when you do, you get a bonus for it. But you gotta you
- 29:45gotta land on the right role to get it sort of thing, right,
- 29:48But one run I had was absolutely fucking epic, Like, uh, I
- 29:55can't remember what I think. I just rolled like a twelve and then an
- 29:57eleven, so just racing around the fucking board, you know, just grabbing
- 30:03up the free money. And then I landed on what was it? Was
- 30:06it a chance thing or I can't remember what it was, but I wound
- 30:10up going to park Place. It might have just been rolls, I don't
- 30:15remember. But what I do remember is that Boardwalk starts with the hotel on
- 30:18it. So when I land out of park Place, I immediately got a
- 30:21fucking monopoly on the most expensive fucking space on the board. And I basically
- 30:27like took in a whole shitload of cash, like I think three grams,
- 30:33and if you manage to get a monopoly on those two and land on Boardwalk,
- 30:36you're talking ten gram wow. And I was like, and this is
- 30:41this is money, mind you. It transfers to like almost one hundred dollars
- 30:47for a ticket. So so I was sitting at like thirty tickets space most
- 30:52but but it's not it's not quite that the the echinery. It's actually a
- 30:55little bit better like some maybe like eighty dollars for a ticket. I don't
- 30:57know where it is, but it's it's it's it's still was a damn good
- 31:03run. And when I finished, I got one hundred and thirty four tickets
- 31:06on one playing like I just want ape ship that looks really good to ship
- 31:11man I had. I had a great deal of fun, like I wound
- 31:15up making two more monopolies before the game ended, landed on go got a
- 31:18free roll like I just kept going, I'm just like, let's just ride
- 31:22this. This is a good, good, damn game. I'm gonna ride
- 31:26it into the ground. That's where a queens. Yeah, that's where all
- 31:30my tickets went. I have absolutely no idea what they're worth. Probably nothing.
- 31:34I might be able to get, like a single Tootsie roll if I
- 31:38remember, if I remember how it works, and Damon Busters to be fair,
- 31:45like the one one time. There was only one time I can think
- 31:49of in Damon Buster's history where playing David Busters was actually worth it, and
- 31:53it was mostly because everybody else gave me their tickets. Was it to get
- 31:57a video game? Yeah, it was a party of some kind of who
- 32:00it was, but it was one of those parties where everybody gets the twenty
- 32:05dollars meal and free token steel and you got additional token to the top of
- 32:09that. So I wound up just sitting at the fucking super trivia thing and
- 32:14owning everybody Like people would come over and add to the pile, and the
- 32:17more people played, the higher the jackpont one. And I'm like, all
- 32:20right, I'm gonna school you fuckers, and the player who gets the most
- 32:22right, and if there's a tie, the player who answered the fastest wins
- 32:28the entire pot. You can read, quit, I read, I read.
- 32:31I'm a speed reader. Basically I can speed read, so so I
- 32:36usually I have an ability to get to the answer faster than some of the
- 32:39other players, which plays to my advantage. Now, if I don't know
- 32:43the answer that I'm fucked by, I just have to make it up or
- 32:46try and figure out like logic it out like man, sometimes you can tell
- 32:53what the answer is based on one of the answers being there that doesn't look
- 32:58like it should be there. I don't know how to describe it, like
- 33:00if the if there was a question of like how many decibels does like the
- 33:07you know, a penny hitting like the water make and it's like it's like
- 33:10one decibel, thirty decibels or minus twenty decibels. Yeah, you go,
- 33:16why is that minus twenty there? Why is it there? Why? Why?
- 33:22Why would why would anyone include that? That feels obviously wrong? But
- 33:29somebody broke this question, so it almost feels like it has to be the
- 33:32correct answer, even though it's so far like out of the rama possible.
- 33:37Yeah, you're literally playing the quiz master. Yeah, but I mean you
- 33:43watch you watch enough episodes of The Chase, you'll start going, why is
- 33:46that answer there? That makes sense? Actually, I don't live the Chase,
- 33:51man, it's so fatal. Should we take a short break at thirty
- 33:55five minutes already? I think, yeah, it's good, all right,
- 34:00be right back when more stories that we're a trip to Racha cha when we

- 35:21Out part of the od God Media Network. Hey man, welcome back.
- 35:37We were discussing our trip to Roger Job to see David Atovino and the production
- 35:42of the producers, which was absolutely bong taster was banging man incredible. Like,
- 35:50seriously, if you got the opportunity to see like real theater, go
- 35:52do it because it's an experience and it's such a good one, which got
- 35:57people like David damn. Yeah, even had thirty bucks a ticket, which
- 36:01is what this costs. It worth it. It's worth it. It was
- 36:06a good time. It was absolutely it was like three hours if you think
- 36:08about it. Yeah, no, it was. It was a good show.
- 36:10It was. It was over what an hour and a half close to
- 36:15the intermission. Yeah, yeah, all right, wasn't that long. I
- 36:20can do that too, actually, just liked it. Movies. Yeah,
- 36:28so we left off David Busters. Yeah, yeah, I said what I
- 36:31was doing, what were you guys doing? Hocking? And I jumped on
- 36:35that motorcycle game first, I think, but then we went over to the
- 36:38new time Crisis. It was at times tie twitters high Crisis. Yeah,
- 36:45because the time Graces one is like you got the gun, you know,
- 36:49it's it's coop, which is great, big screen and you have pedals normally
- 36:52to duck out or to raise recovered, except this machine had two pedals,
- 36:58one for left and one for right, So depending on how you wanted to
- 37:00come out from cover for the right side or left side, you could and
- 37:04then you can actually go around the enemies by pressing on another pedal like or
- 37:07left or something. So it was really cool. So like if Aggie was
- 37:12facing a bunch of guys with shields and stuff, I can go around behind
- 37:15them and shoot them type of thing, or he could do the same thing.
- 37:17We got pretty fire in it. It was it was really fun.
- 37:21And I think you got what four different types of guns in that one or
- 37:23something so like it was. It was fucking insane, like a draigular pistol.
- 37:29And then you got she was like a rocket launcher. He was a
- 37:31laser gun like me. S that sounds like the one of the later Time
- 37:37Crisis is I remember when a Time Crisis came out for the PS three.
- 37:40I never wound up getting it, but I remember looking at it and like
- 37:45magazines and ship and being like Jesus, like this is this is not It's
- 37:51not the same game that I remember her. Holy crap, you just come
- 37:54stacked with different guns. You can just swap between him. Yeah, it's
- 37:59crazy, man, It's it's come a long way from the first one,
- 38:00like I always been the first and second one into the arcades. I love
- 38:05one because that was the first two of the ship. Yes, dude played
- 38:10so many quarters man at the Castle and thoughts, I still feel bad.
- 38:21I'm gonnas all A quick story. I my brother and I have somewhat strained
- 38:29relationship and it's it's mostly my fault. It's mostly my fault. Like we
- 38:36you know, we're we're brothers, but we don't really talk or hang or
- 38:39anything like that. And I think this incident might be one of those things
- 38:44that sealed that particular deal we were. Uh. I remember my brother asking
- 38:51me for a ride to the mall because he was participating in a tournament there,
- 38:58and I was like, really what tournament. He's like, oh,
- 39:00time graces too, and I was like, oh shit, And I was
- 39:02like, I played a fair amount of that game. And I remember just
- 39:07like just like we we rolled up. He signed up, and I think,
- 39:15just on a whim, I'm like, you don't mind if I sign
- 39:17up too, right, He's like, yeah, go ahead, So I
- 39:22signed up and uh and uh, I just sat and watched as everyone else
- 39:28like played, because I wound up going like last and I kept noticing.
- 39:32I'm like, oh, oh you can you can shoot guys up to three
- 39:37times and each hit adds your multiplayer Yes. I'm like, oh, so,
- 39:44like that's the key to like, And I watched a lot of people,
- 39:47you know, like shooting him once and moving on to the next,
- 39:51and once and moving on to the next. So but they were looking for
- 39:54high score the game. So I'm like, I think I got this and
- 40:01I was like, all right, so I just won by one. Every
- 40:05single dude, bat pat pat, next one bat bat bat reload, next
- 40:08one bat bat bat again, just triple hit every single one. Tried really
- 40:14hard not to miss because of course missing, you know, kills your multiplier
- 40:17again. And I won the fucking tournament like like I want first places,
- 40:24like literally literally first place I want. I don't remember what I want.
- 40:30I seem to recall. I think there was like a chance to win,
- 40:32like an actual whole arcade versions of time graces too, but it wasn't like
- 40:37another tournament or like anything like that. Your name got put into a drawing,
- 40:42and I think it was it was a Laddin's Castles across the country or
- 40:45whatever. That was the last time, and I got just then I got
- 40:50like a bunch of free swag, I think, And my brother was not
- 40:54pleased. If I recall, I could be wrong. Well did he go
- 40:59in second? Uh no, Okay, he did not come second. Maybe
- 41:02given second, it would have made sense, might have. He might have
- 41:07been third or fourth, but it wasn't. It wasn't that close. It
- 41:09wasn't. And I just remember feeling kind of awesome but also kind of bad.
- 41:15Yeah, I'm like, I'm like, this is it wasn't even my
- 41:21idea, Like he just like he needed a ride and it was like,
- 41:23oh, I guess I'll I'll tag along and then and then I fucking win
- 41:29the thing. Yes, And I'm like, you know, i'd be pissed
- 41:34at me too, you know, like I came here to do this is
- 41:37my thing. Yeah. So, yeah, the time crisis is a little
- 41:45bit of a sore spot, that's fair, but this one was fun,
- 41:50man, it was. And then uh, after time Splitters or time Splitters
- 41:55times, we went to Luisi's Luigi's mansion, right, Yeah, it was
- 42:02like a weird oh sit down Luigi's Mansion, but instead of shooting guns,
- 42:10you used to vacuum the cover of ghosts and it actually looked like the vacuum
- 42:15was weird. Yeah. Actually, like Louise's, he had pulted geist thing.
- 42:23And I've never played Luigi's Mansion, so I know nothing about it,
- 42:27but you used to play that all the time, right yeah, yeah,
- 42:30the ArKade. She definitely would not help explain anything with Luigi's mansion. Long
- 42:37story short, is luigi one the mansion that he never put in for and
- 42:45it's haunted a private want to mention that he never entered the contest for yes,
- 42:52and it turns out to be Haunted and his brother as she told me,
- 43:00gonna play to win a mansion like I won. It's so awesome.
- 43:07Yeah, Like it was a launch title for Game Cute wherever Luigi was the
- 43:12protagonists, and uh, it wasn't received well at the time because you know,
- 43:17it wasn't Mario. You were Luigi saving Mario. Oh Mario stuck in
- 43:22the mansion. Yeah, oh no ship. Yeah. It was like a
- 43:25like role reversal, and I think that's why I didn't go over well,
- 43:30was because it's like way saving Mario. This is makes sense, supposed to
- 43:36be the other way, but like they needed to do something with him.
- 43:37He was literally just a guy like nothing will be to give something before,
- 43:45like you can't make completely useless. Unfortunately, people didn't like it very much,
- 43:50but I enjoyed the shot out of it, and that game was fun,
- 43:52like playing with you, we're just trying to like shortly after where that's
- 44:00when we discovered that Mario card game, which was pretty Yeah, there was
- 44:04a Mario Kart, sit down car racing game, no idea, but like
- 44:07you actually sit down like an arcade style racing game, and it's Mario Car.
- 44:12You got a wheel, you got your brake metal, your gas pedal,
- 44:15accelerator, and then you had like your item one like if you collected
- 44:19a shell or something to shoot it off. But this game had a co
- 44:22op mode, which was fucking cool. So you choose your your driver,
- 44:29and then after you choose your driver, you choose single player co op or
- 44:32first or co op. You chose co op because you know we're on the
- 44:36same team whatever. Yeah, and then you hit Then there's like a real
- 44:39like a slot machine reel going on here. You hit the button and you
- 44:43hit your power ups that way for some queer, greasy, strange how that
- 44:46started. But then it also tells you there's a what was it a tank
- 44:52mode or something, basically fuse your your your cards together. Yeah, so
- 44:59the who players initiates and when they fused with their teammate, the person who
- 45:06initiates it gets control of GUD while the teammate continues driving and quite interesting stuff.
- 45:14Yeah, because the turret on the car once you're fusing together is controlled
- 45:19by your steering wheel, so you're attempting to aim at other cars in a
- 45:22three hundred and sixty degree thing, but your wheel can either go one to
- 45:24eighty so right, or when he needs a lot to doesn't actually go all
- 45:28the way around right, So it's kind of fucked up, and you're trying
- 45:30to aim and to like shoot these green shells as the other person's driving your
- 45:34car. But yeah, dude, like that game. That was actually very
- 45:37enjoyable that we played a couple of times. I watched you get some good
- 45:42shots him as the gunner. The first time you guys fused, I'm like,
- 45:45damn, it was neat. It was really neat. And then I
- 45:47found out you could drift and stuff. And then I was like, oh,
- 45:51that's how you do it. So you have to slam on the break
- 45:52and hit the gas and slam on the break and hit the how you boost?
- 45:55Yeah, it was it was really fun. So yeah, David,
- 45:59Butler's was not, as my opinion this time, No, I had.
- 46:02I had a pretty good time and we got through our hour that we needed
- 46:05to there. Oh yeah, I forgot to finish tell the story. Oh
- 46:07story, I'm sorry. I was talking about going on the the birthday party
- 46:13and I wound up going on the the uh the fucking trivia thing and racking
- 46:19people. Oh yeah, and then I had like thousands of tickets by the
- 46:23time I was done, like thousands, and my friends were like, oh
- 46:28damn, you have a ship ton like because back in those days they actually
- 46:32gave you physical tickets. Yeah, they came out with you a little bucket.
- 46:37And my bucket was stacked full like it was it was obnoxiously full,
- 46:40like it was hard to carry around. And my friends were like, well,
- 46:45you know, we're not really gonna get anything, so you might as
- 46:46well take our tickets too. You might as well take our tickets too,
- 46:50and so on and so forth. And I went over there. I'm like,
- 46:52I'm like, how many tickets is this? And they're like, uh,
- 46:55this is over five thousands. You can actually do you want? You
- 47:00want something that. I looked at it and I was like, holy shit,
- 47:04I have enough tickets to get fucking Call of Duty Modern Warfare for the
- 47:08p S three. Yes. I'm like, fuck, yes, I'll do
- 47:13that. And I'm like, I spent twenty bucks tops at this fucking party
- 47:16and I'm going home with Call of Duty four. I was there because I
- 47:20remember this motherfucker walking around with the Carcheries. That was a disc but yeah,
- 47:24yeah, it was like literally like fuck, I fucking I fucking what
- 47:29can I say? I wrecked people on Tribute. It was so god damn.
- 47:32That is the one time that I've legitimately had a great time to day
- 47:36the Busters and feel like I got my money's worth. Yes, oh,
- 47:39we definitely got our money. I think we got our money's worth this time
- 47:42because I can't pick so many points still in my car. I had sixty
- 47:45eight points left or something like, yeah, I didn't still have credits left.
- 47:50So we can go back and do this again. You guys be fine,
- 47:52Yeah, like yeah, I got like I got I got like three
- 47:54hundred tickets and that's it. You got tickets on I've burned. I've burned
- 47:58through all my ship. I'm like, I'm just But anyway, this this
- 48:01took only an hour, Like we've turned this into like a twenty minute discussion
- 48:06or something. It took place over now, but it was like ten to
- 48:09seven. We're like, let's get out of here. We gotta go catch
- 48:12that show. Yeah, so we rolled over and check out the theater.
- 48:16Now, this is a neat theater. I like this. It's called o
- 48:21FC Creations in Rochester, and they have a banging schedule like of shows that
- 48:27are they're planning to do that, they're coming, they're they're planning on doing
- 48:30with some incredible talent. So that's gonna be that's gonna be wild. To
- 48:36keep your eye in the Rochester area or you're gonna be in the area,
- 48:38fucking go check it out. Thirty yeah ticket. Yeah. It was a
- 48:43damn good time, and the concessions are affordable. I like, you know,
- 48:49I went to like last time I went to a theater, like you
- 48:52couldn't get a drink and a candy without spending over like twelve dollars. Oh
- 48:57yeah, like you know at least. And I was like shuddering. I
- 49:00was like, how much is it going to be for like a coke and
- 49:01a box of M and ms. She's like six bucks. I'm like,
- 49:05oh, that's reasonable, you know, And it is technically still high,
- 49:10but you know, consider you can buy these things for like a dollar each
- 49:14of the Always Store, but I mean it is. It is a theater.
- 49:17So their mark up was not excessive, not excessive, it was reasonable.
- 49:22So I'm like, okay, fair enough, you win. And they
- 49:27also had coffee. They had coffee and and yeah that was the other thing,
- 49:30like they don't mind you bringing food and drink into the theater and that
- 49:34is so rare, which insane. Usually usually people are like, you do
- 49:37not bring anything resembling food or drink. If you have like a plushy toy
- 49:44that looks like a box of fries, you will punch you and take it,
- 49:49you know. But they while you watch it, cry, No,
- 49:59I'm just saying, there's drinks. But this place was like, no,
- 50:01it's cool, man. If you can buy stuff from us, you can
- 50:04go and take it on in there. It's fine. Uh So I saw
- 50:07people in there like white Claws and ship like you know, they're like wine
- 50:13drinks, specialty drinks for the show. Yeah, they came up with specialty
- 50:16drinks based on the show. They had one called Taking Blue, which was
- 50:22it was champagne with pomegran was it. Yeah, there's there's was pomeg champagne
- 50:31and yeah that was that wash. That's an amazing like, oh man,
- 50:39I could have gotten a drink that would have been the one. I love
- 50:42champagne so good. And we talked about this while we were in the theater,
- 50:45Like the theater build is interesting, like it's a proscenium stage, meaning
- 50:52like there's a demarcated line between the audience and the stage, and it's just
- 50:55like it's just like there's the stage and there's the audience, you know,
- 51:00and that that's it. Like it's it wasn't like theater in the round or
- 51:04anything like that. It was just a plain old stage. But what was
- 51:07interesting to me was this theater was wider than it was deep. Yes,
- 51:13like there was only takes almost eight rows of chairs, just eight think about
- 51:20how thin that is, and and they stretched it like that. These rows
- 51:23went on for quite some distance. So it was it was this was a
- 51:27long theater probably two hundred and fifty seats, oh yeah, somewhere around there.
- 51:32So it was just an interesting design to me. But I mean it
- 51:37worked. It fucking worked like every every even from where we were we were
- 51:42at seven rows back, like we were only seven rows from the theater,
- 51:45like from the stage like everything, you know, you could see everything from
- 51:49anywhere in that theater like it's it's it's it's a simple design, but it
- 51:53fucking works. Any acoustics, I know, they were liked up, but
- 51:57still yeah, no, it was very very good. Everything about that production
- 52:02was outstanding. The set design, I mean the multiple you know sets of
- 52:08lights, letters, the letters and lights, the springtime travelers that have I
- 52:16like that that must have taken forever put together, and then to get them
- 52:20out there that click and hang them back up. All it was. It
- 52:24was an impressive production on I think every level. Like it was such a
- 52:30good show and I had such a great time, Like that was that was
- 52:35phenomenal. Like live theater is is a dying art. Some people say it
- 52:42isn't dying, but I have to disagree. Like the amount of theaters that
- 52:45are in use I think has been dwarfed somewhat, especially thanks to COVID.
- 52:50Yeah, Like I mean, and I felt a little self conscious just being
- 52:54in the same room with a couple hundred people, Like that was a little
- 52:59nerve racking. That took my extra medication to I took three times as much
- 53:02as I normally do. But I mean, fuck that. But there's there's
- 53:07a reason why theater is so powerful and why it's why it's a different experience
- 53:15from like movies, TV shows, books might happen nowadays, it's not like
- 53:20acting is like at least energy, the energy of a live performance is so
- 53:24different. It's so different, and it's it's powerful and it's intoxicating. Oh
- 53:31yeah, and that show was incredible. Yeah, dude, I'm wired still
- 53:37like I'm usually in bed like three hours ago. I'm fucking wired. I
- 53:40need to have coffee, like I was gonna get cofee. I'm like,
- 53:44I didn't need any coffee. I'm good. Like it was so good.
- 53:47God damn. So thank you Dave of course, one hundred percent good friend
- 53:52of the show. Thank you so much. Thank you to OFC Creations Theater
- 53:58in Rochester for being an incredible host. They were everybody there, their whole
- 54:02staff. Yeah, and thank you Stevian Augie for letting me drag you an
- 54:08hour and a half across the Stateum, you know, we'll see my college
- 54:14buddy in a production that I didn't know if i'd ever get to see again.
- 54:17And then he tells me, like a couple of days before, oh
- 54:21yeah, I'm doing it again in Buffalo, much closer to where you live.
- 54:23Oh fucker, so you're telling me I dragged my just waited a couple
- 54:31of weeks, waited a couple of weeks. But if I got on a
- 54:35high wile watching it, Yeah, no, it was amazing, So thank
- 54:42you to everybody. It's incredible day. Thank you, incredible day. Thank
- 54:45you for taking us to this. Man. Yeah, man, we knew,
- 54:49we knew what we were getting into with the story of the Producers,
- 54:52but you knew we were getting into with Dave's production and how his performance is
- 54:58gonna be. And heaven those two can buying together. It was a perfect
- 55:00heating man. Yeah, it really really was. It was awesome. Yeah.
- 55:04Yeah, I'm gonna see if I can get to the one in Buffalo.
- 55:07I'm gonna see if I can watch the movie the Producers there. Dude,
- 55:09it's so good. Yeah, we got it. I got DVD.
- 55:15Man, all right, well, I think that is just about going to
- 55:20wrap it up. I think worried about the hour mark, and that works
- 55:22for me. Sometime we apologize that this is recorded on the road on Stevie's
- 55:28phone. Yeah, so the quality is probably not gonna be Yeah, I
- 55:31think the quality might be worse than you're used to. But we promise we're
- 55:36going back. We're going back to the old way. Promise, swear we'll
- 55:39get back to the recorder. I swear I ran out batteries and I didn't

- 55:51weeks and go see Yeah, we go see DAP and Buffalo. We'll put
