- 3:37Speaker 7: Oh, I'm sorry everyone, Good evening everyone. I am Blue
- 3:46Speaker 7: Diamond filling in for a Black Diamond tonight. She couldn't
- 3:49Speaker 7: be with us, but she says all her love to you.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Guys.
- 3:53Speaker 7: Hi, Welcome to Basic Black After Dark podcast, the show
- 3:57Speaker 7: that meets you where you are and gives you what
- 3:59Speaker 7: you at. I'm a person who likes to celebrate. I've
- 4:03Speaker 7: seen first hand how important candles are, especially when you're
- 4:06Speaker 7: blowing out candles on your birthday cake. As I grew up,
- 4:11Speaker 7: I realized candles are not just for decorating a birthday cake.
- 4:14Speaker 7: They are used for comfort and peace.
- 4:16Speaker 2: They have an.
- 4:17Speaker 7: Entirely different story and explanation. Candles are energizing and uplifting.
- 4:23Speaker 7: It causes a sensation that signals the senses, which continuously
- 4:27Speaker 7: sends a message causing the senses to react. I'm pretty
- 4:33Speaker 7: sure everyone out there enjoys a good candle, no matter
- 4:37Speaker 7: where you get it from. And in twenty twenty, I
- 4:41Speaker 7: experienced head eights, well you know, the whole thing with
- 4:47Speaker 7: COVID coming in and ravaging the nations. It being the
- 4:53Speaker 7: first pandemic that I experienced in my lifetime, and was warmth,
- 5:03Speaker 7: comfort and a sense of knowing that soon everything will
- 5:08Speaker 7: be okay. I understand that COVID is not over. People
- 5:11Speaker 7: are finding each and every day to eradicate this deadly virus.
- 5:21Speaker 7: I've had COVID twice. I didn't know I had it
- 5:24Speaker 7: the first time. It was it was, you know, the
- 5:30Speaker 7: hustle and bustle of trying to work, take care of kids,
- 5:35Speaker 7: go to school, take car home, make sure that everybody
- 5:39Speaker 7: here was safe, and understanding that we were on lockdown.
- 5:44Speaker 7: I've never seen in my entire life a nation on lockdown,
- 5:50Speaker 7: like they literally did not want anyone outside, being forced
- 5:55Speaker 7: to wear masks to go into certain places. The overus
- 6:00Speaker 7: said hand sanitizer, cough medicine, and chlorox. Oh my goodness,
- 6:07Speaker 7: the chlorox when it came to that, I can deal
- 6:11Speaker 7: with it now because I love who doesn't love white
- 6:14Speaker 7: sheets and clean linen, But I could not deal with
- 6:19Speaker 7: the smell of bleach. It was everywhere, bleaching everything. Chlorox
- 6:24Speaker 7: and lightsol became my new perfume and body splash. I
- 6:31Speaker 7: smelled like Clorox and lightsol so much that they just
- 6:35Speaker 7: knew I was cleaning something. With that being said, I
- 6:42Speaker 7: feel as though candles were the way to go. Candles
- 6:47Speaker 7: were the way to go because it changed the healthed
- 6:51Speaker 7: the senses know that there were other fragrances out there
- 6:54Speaker 7: other than the strong chemical smell of hospital grade disinfectants lightsol,
- 6:59Speaker 7: Chlorix and the septics and the smell of robotesting benadrill
- 7:07Speaker 7: and everything you can think of to help combat the
- 7:11Speaker 7: symptoms of having COVID nineteen. I pulled through and then
- 7:16Speaker 7: I that was at the launch of the pandemic. More
- 7:21Speaker 7: so towards the end, I ended up having it again,
- 7:26Speaker 7: and I'm like, oh my gosh, I can't smell anything.
- 7:29Speaker 7: I couldn't smell the bleach, I couldn't smell lfesile, couldn't
- 7:32Speaker 7: smell the sea breeze. And I was like, I can't
- 7:36Speaker 7: do this, Like, what is going to get me through
- 7:41Speaker 7: having this virus and not being able to be around anyone?
- 7:46Speaker 7: Actually being isolated and not having anyone to be around me,
- 7:56Speaker 7: you know, having a text and order food and didn't
- 8:01Speaker 7: have that. You know, people have kids, so not having
- 8:04Speaker 7: them being able to be around me. I'm like, this
- 8:07Speaker 7: can't be life. So anybody ever experienced actually having the
- 8:14Speaker 7: COVID so you know the sense of smell completely gone,
- 8:20Speaker 7: a sense of taste completely gone. I have put trees grumble.
- 8:25Speaker 7: I sure do love me at this smelling candle. I'm
- 8:28Speaker 7: glad you said that for trees, because I have something
- 8:32Speaker 7: that you would love. So here, basic Black. We have
- 8:38Speaker 7: a special gift for everyone and anyone who cares to
- 8:41Speaker 7: experience this gift. Me and this Black Diamond have curated
- 8:47Speaker 7: this amazing candle. This is our part of This is
- 8:52Speaker 7: number one of our bedroom candle collection. This one is
- 8:58Speaker 7: called Contagious and oh this smells so good. It's a
- 9:05Speaker 7: three wick candle. I don't know if you can see it.
- 9:07Speaker 7: Oh there we go, three wicks soy based candle, organic
- 9:13Speaker 7: soy and this single candle can burn for forty hours straight.
- 9:18Speaker 7: I don't recommend you burn your candle that long, but
- 9:21Speaker 7: it burns for forty hours straight. So about I'll say
- 9:29Speaker 7: about three years ago. Black Diamonds started Basic Black.
- 9:35Speaker 1: And.
- 9:37Speaker 7: You know, it helped her get through the pandemic and
- 9:40Speaker 7: having her sense of smell return. She was able to
- 9:44Speaker 7: start smelling candles and she was battling COVID as well.
- 9:51Speaker 7: This is this is my favorite candle in the bedroom
- 9:57Speaker 7: collection of the Basic Black candles. And this one again
- 10:02Speaker 7: three weeks. This one is actually my favorite, has that
- 10:10Speaker 7: lemon grass sent to it and other aromatics. So but
- 10:16Speaker 7: that one, that one is my favorite one. It helps.
- 10:21Speaker 7: The candles helped bring her sense of smell back and
- 10:25Speaker 7: she overcame having to deal with COVID as well. We
- 10:33Speaker 7: have candles. We actually have a shop and studio. It
- 10:40Speaker 7: is called Basic Black Candle Bar, and that is where
- 10:44Speaker 7: you can purchase these bedroom candles. I am the bartender
- 10:49Speaker 7: of Basic Black Candle Bar. Again, my name is Blue.
- 10:53Speaker 7: And this one you know you guys can from lining
- 10:57Speaker 7: it up right. This one is called Breathless and yeah,
- 11:07Speaker 7: this one also a three wick soy candle. This one
- 11:12Speaker 7: is it's worth the purchase, I promise you, Like I
- 11:16Speaker 7: said again it's a forty hour burning candle. This is yes, yes, yes,
- 11:29Speaker 7: this is forty hour burning candle.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Three wins.
- 11:34Speaker 7: I would recommend you burn if you were to purchase
- 11:37Speaker 7: this candle that burned all three wicks at the same time,
- 11:39Speaker 7: so the candle can burn evenly. So where I want
- 11:50Speaker 7: to tell you guys so much more about Basic Black
- 11:52Speaker 7: and so after this break, I'm gonna tell you what
- 11:57Speaker 7: we do at Basic Black the bar, so we're gonna
- 12:01Speaker 7: go to commercial with else. See you guys very soon.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Okay, do turn off the legs.
- 12:26Speaker 8: Candle tonight a man matin, Let's take a shower.
- 12:44Speaker 9: Shower together. I wash a bunet, you wash my god
- 12:59Speaker 9: some day.
- 13:10Speaker 5: Turn Over, You're all want to care of you. What's
- 13:22Speaker 5: a special treat? You're so sweet?
- 13:26Speaker 7: Turn Over. Hey you guys, I'm welcome back. I am
- 13:35Speaker 7: Blue filling in for Miss Black Diamond here at Basic Black.
- 13:42Speaker 7: I have a question from Ms Patrees. We're currently working
- 13:48Speaker 7: with our software developer to finish with creating our website,
- 13:54Speaker 7: so it's not quite yet, but we are in the
- 13:57Speaker 7: Greater Maryland area. We're in the Harford County area of Maryland,
- 14:03Speaker 7: right off of Root forty where you can come and
- 14:08Speaker 7: purchase a candle. We are also well just really rebuilding
- 14:15Speaker 7: it because we have a men's line, so we have
- 14:19Speaker 7: we want to bring the men's line of the candles
- 14:23Speaker 7: and everything else we have at Basic Black Candle Bar.
- 14:29Speaker 7: Basic Black Candle Bar is a place where you can
- 14:33Speaker 7: come and buy your bath bombs, bath salts, body butter's
- 14:37Speaker 7: body wash. We have anything and everything to help you
- 14:41Speaker 7: relax and take the stress away and release into the
- 14:47Speaker 7: serenity of the peace fullness of a nice hot bath
- 14:53Speaker 7: end or shower. Like I said, I am the bar tender.
- 15:01Speaker 7: Along with the candle bar, we now have a candle studio.
- 15:07Speaker 7: Our candle studio is a place where you, friends, significant others,
- 15:13Speaker 7: family can come and set up a time for you
- 15:21Speaker 7: to make your own candle. You pick out your you
- 15:26Speaker 7: get your you pick out your jar, you pick out
- 15:30Speaker 7: your fragrance, and you are taught by the instructor there
- 15:41Speaker 7: how to make your own candle. You then create your
- 15:47Speaker 7: own label, so it's as if this is your own
- 15:51Speaker 7: I mean it is actually your own personal candle. You
- 15:59Speaker 7: pick out your boxes and you know, put your decals
- 16:05Speaker 7: and everything on there, have it stamped, and you know
- 16:08Speaker 7: they're at Basic Black and shop shop UH in the
- 16:15Speaker 7: candle bar while you wait for your candle to develop.
- 16:28Speaker 7: We have.
- 16:33Speaker 1: We have.
- 16:36Speaker 7: UH plenty plenty for you.
- 16:39Speaker 2: To shop for.
- 16:41Speaker 7: They're at the candle bar.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Mm hm.
- 16:51Speaker 7: Oh ms. Patrice, you were reading the names of the
- 16:56Speaker 7: candles and I think the one you wanted to see. Oh,
- 17:02Speaker 7: here it is. This is Breathless. You can Yes, you
- 17:08Speaker 7: can burn. This is from the Crew podcast. Yes you
- 17:12Speaker 7: can burn all. I recommend you burn all three wicks.
- 17:16Speaker 7: That way, your candle burns evenly, because you know it'll
- 17:21Speaker 7: start melting. Your candle burns evenly. It's a pretty big
- 17:25Speaker 7: candle cell. You want to burn all three wicks, so
- 17:29Speaker 7: you don't want to just burn this one and then
- 17:31Speaker 7: this side is down, or just these two and then
- 17:34Speaker 7: this side of the cand you know that side of
- 17:36Speaker 7: the candle is down. You want to burn them all evenly.
- 17:40Speaker 7: Burn you know, you light them all at one time.
- 17:44Speaker 7: I recommend using not a traditional lighter, but there's lighters
- 17:49Speaker 7: you can purchase there at Basic Black Candle Studio. And
- 17:54Speaker 7: this electric so it's flameless and it'll help with the
- 17:59Speaker 7: burning the wicks, so you're not trying to meet the
- 18:03Speaker 7: wick with a flame. Of a traditional like cigarette lighter.
- 18:12Speaker 7: We also have sell bath bombs for men, bath salts,
- 18:18Speaker 7: bath lotions, hand soaps, candles, affirmation pillows, affirmation pillows, and
- 18:25Speaker 7: occasionally Miss Black Diamond greases us with her presence and
- 18:31Speaker 7: has a book signing where you can actually meet her,
- 18:35Speaker 7: greet her and purchase a book and have it signed
- 18:38Speaker 7: by her the author of her mini books, so who
- 18:42Speaker 7: knows which book it will be. She may have a
- 18:46Speaker 7: surprise coming up for you guys soon. Not gonna tell
