- 0:41Let's go. Let's go for the rest of our
- 0:47life. Just get you fired up in the
- 1:03morning. Welcome back, ladies and
- 1:05gentlemen, to the FINAL TIME OUT.
- 1:08I am your host, HG. We are here in NPR friends for
- 1:15another week talking some sports.
- 1:18It's exciting times, man. We've got the, we got the MLB
- 1:23and WNBA. They're starting their their
- 1:25late season playoff pushes there training camp just around the
- 1:29corner. We have NFL football.
- 1:32I'll be a preseason, but NFL football will be on tomorrow
- 1:35night. Ladies and gentlemen, I I can't
- 1:39wait. I mean, we're going to have
- 1:40Super Bowl champion Kenny Pickett facing off against
- 1:43national champion Carson back. It's going to truly be a duel
- 1:47for the ages. Panthers, Cardinals, Hall of
- 1:51Fame game tomorrow night. But yeah, we're going to just
- 1:58jump into it because we had a a pretty busy MLB trade deadline.
- 2:04A lot of people getting dealt around, a lot of teams selling.
- 2:10We're just going to go over lot the top 25 trades of this past
- 2:16trade deadline. There were a lot and to no one's
- 2:19surprise, we're going to have the the number one trade really
- 2:23be the Dodgers acquiring Tariq Skubal, the back-to-back Cy
- 2:28Young winner. I mean, they really didn't have
- 2:32to give up a whole lot for him. Couple of prospects really that
- 2:40was about it. You know, couple of pitching
- 2:45prospects. So just three guys to get a back
- 2:50to backside young winner. Yeah.
- 2:53I mean, any team would really take that deal.
- 2:56So I mean, now you're going to have like that bullpen with
- 2:59Yamamoto Scubal now Blake Snell Glasnails through the come off
- 3:08IL, Shohei Otani obviously in there.
- 3:14It was already a really great bullpen and now they've just got
- 3:17another elite pitching prospect into it.
- 3:22Excuse me, sorry. It's going to be very difficult
- 3:25for the Dodgers for a lot of teams to take down the Dodgers.
- 3:29Rather they are definitely a juggernaut now.
- 3:34However, I'll say they have lost five straight and Scuba made his
- 3:41debut last night. Didn't exactly go the way you
- 3:47would you would want it. He didn't have a a terrible
- 3:52game. He pitched 6 innings, did only
- 3:56give up two runs, walked two, two batters, only four hits in
- 4:03total ERA of two. Did have 6 KS.
- 4:07One of those hits did turn into a home run.
- 4:09So, you know, a little bit of a lackluster debut for him, but
- 4:18guy did just get to LA, give him some time to get his get his
- 4:22feet under him. But five in the row for the
- 4:25Dodgers. So a lot of the people
- 4:28definitely not happy about this trade and how LA keeps ending up
- 4:34with all these elite players on their team past three seasons.
- 4:40And look right now the odds on favorite to be the the World
- 4:45Series champions for the third year in the row.
- 4:49But they do. They're looking a little human.
- 4:52You know, it is still just the beginning of August.
- 4:55We'll give it some time. We'll talk.
- 4:56We're going to talk some other trades though as well here.
- 5:01Number one, we got at #2 Adli Ruchman, the former number one
- 5:09overall pick from the 2019 draft catcher is going to the Red Sox.
- 5:14Orioles are, yeah, really in the trenches and the American League
- 5:20East struggling to even stay at 500.
- 5:26It's really turned into an interesting three team race
- 5:28there. And the Red Sox, the hottest
- 5:30team in baseball since the calendar turned July, get even
- 5:34better at the catcher position. Given up a couple of
- 5:39right-handed pitching prospects and outfielder.
- 5:41And they sent a catcher back in return, as well as there's some
- 5:46cash considerations and other things between both teams there.
- 5:50But yeah, a really and still young, really talented catcher
- 6:01that you can add to a team that's already got some.
- 6:05The pitching just looked elite since the this like winning
- 6:10streak and this hot streak that they've been on, the bats are
- 6:13really flying. So I mean, just maybe 1 area
- 6:16where they could have used a little improvement is the
- 6:19catching. And so now a team that's only
- 6:21lost four games since the beginning of July, adding a
- 6:26really talented player that's just, I think could really help
- 6:32them make a push. They're only six games back
- 6:39behind the Rays. And right now, Boston does not
- 6:43do a lot of losing. So call me crazy, but I I
- 6:49wouldn't be shocked at all if the Red Sox come back and end up
- 6:52winning the American League East.
- 6:54It's going to be a fascinating race between them, the Yankees
- 6:58and the Rays. Yankees still a bit banged up.
- 7:02We'll see what happens when they start to get healthy, but
- 7:06fascinating race there. Number third or #3 trade here.
- 7:12Second baseman Luis Alvarez is heading to the Phillies along
- 7:17with right-handed pitcher Caleb Killian.
- 7:19Giants making that trade. This a big one for the Phillies.
- 7:26Trying to keep pace with the Braves and the nationally E.
- 7:32None of them necessarily can't catch Atlanta, but they're in a
- 7:36pretty intense wild card race as well with teams like the Chicago
- 7:40Cubs. The Diamondbacks aren't too far
- 7:42behind them, so this could really be the move that helps
- 7:47them get that top wild card spot, be a little bit more
- 7:54advantageous for them. But this is really an aspect to
- 8:00the offense that Philly's been missing.
- 8:03Erez is batting 324 and has only struck out and MLB load 21 times
- 8:12this season. Philly's a team that is the 7th
- 8:17most struck out team in all of baseball.
- 8:21So definitely somebody you could really use that help you stay
- 8:28get on base more and just keep, you know, keep your your bats
- 8:35moving and keep you alive longer in an inning.
- 8:39So big trade there. Really love this one for the
- 8:44Phillies. Next one we got KC Mees to the
- 8:49Padres. So right hand the pitcher, KC
- 8:53Mees and an Enfield man engaged Workman.
- 8:56They're going to San Diego Padres get cash Mayfield and
- 9:02Jackson Wolf couple of left-handed prospects.
- 9:05Padres is a team that have one that 1/8 of their last night
- 9:09heading into the deadline day one game off of a playoff spot
- 9:15in the National League and they've had a pretty injury
- 9:20ravaged rotation. That's so This is why I really
- 9:22like this move for them. I mean, you just need some more
- 9:25bodies in there, a team that is sort of underperforming for what
- 9:30they could be. The injury bugs got them.
- 9:33It's just been hard for them to really put it all together this
- 9:36season. So you get some reinforcements
- 9:38in there and you hope that that will be enough to help keep you
- 9:44full out and push you through to the playoffs.
- 9:51Coming up to the next trade, the Padres also going and getting
- 9:55Robbie Ray from the Giants, Giants surprisingly some big
- 9:59sellers at this one. So they send back a Miguel
- 10:05Mendez and shortstop Julio Hernandez.
- 10:10So another just another guy that really adds to the rotation
- 10:13there. Again, very banged up.
- 10:15Get a left-hander in there for a little bit of variety.
- 10:22Nothing good trade there by the Padres.
- 10:24They definitely, I think that's just the big thing they need is
- 10:26to try to try to get some reinforcements in their bullpen
- 10:32and just not be so injury riddled there and that'll give
- 10:38them a really good shot to make some noise in this playoff and
- 10:42wild card race. Another team that's from red hot
- 10:46making some buy in at the deadline.
- 10:50The Chicago Cubs acquire right-handed pitcher Kevin
- 10:53Golsman from the Blue Jays, send back an outfielder and an
- 10:57infielder. Yeah, the the Cubs, another team
- 11:02with some guys that have been sidelined, some of their usual
- 11:09star there's and then James Italian hasn't really been
- 11:14pitching all too well. Cubs definitely needed another
- 11:20guy to add to the rotation here. They have their their bats are
- 11:25fantastic. They're hitting really well.
- 11:28The one thing that's been a bit of a a negative for them this
- 11:31year is the pitching. But all of a sudden they become
- 11:36a real problem for the Brewers. I mean, they're Milwaukee, the
- 11:40first team in the league to reach 70 wins and crazy enough,
- 11:44they really don't have too too safe of a lead.
- 11:47Chicago is catching some steam. They're right on their tail at
- 11:5165 wins there. So this is a a good move for
- 11:57them could make them a very dangerous team.
- 12:02Next trade here. The Yankees get some help on
- 12:04first base with Luis Garcia junior traded from the
- 12:09Nationals. They're sending back a couple of
- 12:14a good haul of pitching prospects for the Nationals.
- 12:17But yeah, that's just a good move to potentially help the
- 12:22Yankees out with some infield defense as well.
- 12:26Guy who has 23 homers this season, really good slugging
- 12:31percentage. He's 5th in the MLB and RB is so
- 12:38especially now that you know some of the big hitters dealing
- 12:41with some injuries Judge obviously been hurt, Juan Carlo
- 12:48dealing with some injuries. Rice been banged up as well.
- 12:51So Cody Bellinger as well actually.
- 12:56So, yeah, they just need another.
- 13:00They just need to get some more some more sluggers that are
- 13:04really back into that their bat rotation there a tough race that
- 13:09they've got. I mean, they're currently second
- 13:13in the AL East, but you could really make the argument that
- 13:16they are the only the the third best team in that that league
- 13:21with how hot the Red Sox has been.
- 13:23So good move for them there going through some more of
- 13:28these. Cubs also acquire another
- 13:30right-handed pitcher and Clay Holmes outfielder Tyrone Taylor.
- 13:35The Rays get a kind of catcher slash first baseman and Liam
- 13:40Hicks from the Marlins. They needed at least one bat to
- 13:47really length on the top heavy lineup of the big three with
- 13:51that Diaz, Aronada and Camareo. So yeah, guys, he's got fourteen
- 14:00home runs, but he's hitting pretty well.
- 14:02He's getting on base 54 RB is he'll be.
- 14:07He'll just really give you some some power and some consistency
- 14:11in the back end of that rotation there Blue Jays team that had
- 14:16been mostly selling does go and trade for a right-handed pitcher
- 14:20and Jose Serino. That's more of a future building
- 14:24move. I don't know if that's going to
- 14:25do a whole lot to help Toronto this year.
- 14:27I think they're it's pretty unlikely that they make the
- 14:31playoffs here. They're at the very bottom of
- 14:33the American League. They would really need to lock
- 14:36in and get hot at the right time.
- 14:40Kind of I feel like an underrated trade here.
- 14:43But Freddy Peralta to the Rays, just we're kind of losers on the
- 14:53Tyree Scubal sweepstakes. But a quick pivot to get Freddy
- 14:58Peralta, you know, good, good prospect out of the Mets there.
- 15:05He's, you know, finished top five in voting for the the Cy
- 15:11Young couple of times. So, I mean, not you really want
- 15:17Scubal, but I think this is a a fair follow up to bolster your
- 15:24rotation there for Tampa Bay. We're going to the Guardians now
- 15:30who are trying desperately to keep pace with the White Sox,
- 15:35who have jumped in the first into the American League
- 15:37Central. Lots of that's pretty tight race
- 15:39there. And they got Detroit, who's kind
- 15:42of they turned into big sellers. But the Twins made some moves so
- 15:45they they could be looking to make a playoff push as well, get
- 15:49the left-hander Foster Griffin. And to their rotation, another
- 15:55move by the Yankees, getting an outfielder there again.
- 15:59I mean, they're just missing three of their big, their main
- 16:02outfielder guys and three of their big bats in their rotation
- 16:09all sidelined. So another guy that could really
- 16:13help them keep afloat until they can get healthy.
- 16:17The Diamondbacks also acquire an outfielder and Lars no bat from
- 16:21the Cardinals entered they the D backs had a bottom 10 OPS
- 16:30percentage in entering the trade deadline on Monday.
- 16:36So and I was with Corbin Carroll being an 822 mark.
- 16:39So wars Novak pretty good OPS out there for him this year, 742
- 16:46over his career. Guy has struggled a little bit
- 16:51with injury, but they needed to try to make somewhat of a move
- 16:55to keep them in a well. There's just going to be an
- 16:59absolutely wild, wild card race for the NL East moving along the
- 17:04Marlins or Mariners rather acquire Taylor Ward from the
- 17:09Orioles. The Astros are getting Dalton
- 17:13Vera Shall from the Blue Jays, so a lefty outfielder hit her
- 17:21one of Houston's greatest needs, and I think they have addressed
- 17:23that. Amazingly.
- 17:25Former Golden Glove winner Vera Shall is going to be a free
- 17:28agent after this season. But they could, this could be a
- 17:32move to, you know, get him there in the building and then work on
- 17:37giving him a contract while he's there.
- 17:39So big move for the Astros there.
- 17:44Outfielder Joe Addles head to the Guardians Exchange for Jacob
- 17:49Corzat, Who's going to the Angels?
- 17:53Luis Castillo. Castillo is traded from the
- 17:57Mariners to the White Sox. So Seattle, just the team that
- 18:03had a kind of a heavy starting pitching surplus and that needed
- 18:07to, you know, make some trades for some outfielders as well,
- 18:12really able to take that. So I think that's going to do a
- 18:15good job. Just bolster the White Sox
- 18:18rotation as well. Castillos is just a really good
- 18:22star there in this league as well.
- 18:27Luke Weaver going to the Pirates, Pittsburgh team that
- 18:31was a sort of quiet, but they did make a a good move here to
- 18:35get a right-handed pitcher here team that, you know, one of the
- 18:39top arms that was available at the deadline.
- 18:44He's on the contract through 2027, a really good 1.84 ERA.
- 18:52He's been one of the long bright spots for the Mets this year.
- 18:55Now he's on Pittsburgh team that we're going to make a push to
- 18:59the playoffs as well. It's really close, a lot of
- 19:03these races. And then just to round out our
- 19:07top 20, Dustin May, JoJo Romero to the Brewers.
- 19:11Yeah. I mean, the Brewers, again, just
- 19:15not being aggressive, not pushing all the chips in to go
- 19:19get Scubal. This is a solid, I guess, solid
- 19:25consolation prize. But again, they're just too
- 19:27scared to try to win it all. Cubs out of the right-handed
- 19:31pitcher and Ray and Ryan Zefferon.
- 19:36The Blue Jays sent Jeff Holman to the Twins.
- 19:40Marcelo Mayer is headed to the Giants from the Red Sox in
- 19:47exchange for a left-handed pitcher and Eric Miller and
- 19:51Carlos Gutierrez. Chris Bubic to the Dodgers, so
- 19:56just some more pitching depth for LA Guardians are getting
- 20:02designated hit. Hit her in first baseman
- 20:05Nathaniel Lowe from the Reds. That runs out of the kind of our
- 20:09top 25. Some other teams have sold a
- 20:13lot. You know, the Rockies definitely
- 20:16were made some trades sent to like Brenton Doyle, Victor Von
- 20:21Dick and Antonio. Sent Zala out.
- 20:27Angels were big sellers. The Braves made a couple of
- 20:34trades. Just add some depth to a team
- 20:38that's really strong. It was really good, top heavy,
- 20:41but they just lacked some depth there.
- 20:43So injuries were kind of becoming the problem for them,
- 20:47but now they've got so much needed depth to help them out
- 20:51there. But looking at the the playoff
- 20:55push, I mean, obviously Dodgers were huge winners here, but we
- 20:59haven't really seen that materializing anything.
- 21:02I think the Red Sox also massive winners as well.
- 21:07Red and White Sox, both of the sock teams were big winners as
- 21:11well. The Cubs, I think we're huge
- 21:14winners. They got some really good
- 21:15players there. The Brewers, disappointing.
- 21:20One of my teams are very disappointing for me.
- 21:24I want, I was sort of expecting to see the Braves make a a
- 21:28bigger swing. I don't hate their moves, but
- 21:33you know, trying to keep pace with LA and Milwaukee is going
- 21:40to be tough. And Philly definitely got better
- 21:44at the trade deadline here. So that could be could be an
- 21:49area of concern for them. Maybe you still host A6 game
- 21:53lead. All right, we've been going for
- 21:55a little while now. We're going to go ahead and jump
- 21:57into our first music break. When we come back, we'll take a
- 22:01look at the couple trades that happened in WNBA and look at
- 22:05some award odds there as well. So stay with us.
- 22:08You're watching The Final Time out here on military broadcast
- 22:12radio. The station where our veterans
- 26:36voices are heard. MBR talk.
- 26:39Hey, thanks for supporting our channel by watching and
- 26:41listening. Time out here on the military
- 26:57broadcast radio. And when we left off, we were
- 27:01going over all the trades that happened at the MLB deadline.
- 27:05But I didn't realize, I didn't even address the elephant in the
- 27:09room, which is, does this move to get Scubal to the Dodgers?
- 27:16Is this going to force a lockout?
- 27:18Are we going to see a salary cap?
- 27:20Does the MLB need the salary cap and is there going to be an MLB
- 27:27season next year? That all questions.
- 27:31I want to hear what you do viewers think.
- 27:35Personally, I don't think there will.
- 27:38We'll get to the point where there isn't a season, but
- 27:42there's certainly going to be a lot of problems.
- 27:49My my thoughts on it are, I don't necessarily think a salary
- 27:54cap is the answer. I mean, it doesn't really do
- 27:57anything except punish the players.
- 27:59I think good area to start is maybe with the Dodgers
- 28:04sweetheart TV deal that helps them be really insanely
- 28:08profitable and things like that. If there could be an incentive,
- 28:15some financial incentive for teams to be competitive, you
- 28:18know, we will see the we will see shifting gears a little bit
- 28:27going over a couple of trades that were made in the WNBA.
- 28:33So back on July 31st, the Connecticut Sun, who were we're
- 28:42just having a really tough season, traded Anissa Moro to
- 28:45the Toronto tempo. I don't know if this will be
- 28:48enough to save the tempo season. They're currently sitting at 10
- 28:54and 20. But this is a future building
- 28:57move, which is I think this was here, you know, a team that is
- 29:00selling. I don't think the tempo have
- 29:03aspirations of necessarily making it to the playoffs, but
- 29:08you have a pretty dynamic forward who's, you know, capable
- 29:13of going out there and giving you like 1213 a night.
- 29:17And she can also pull in, you know, 89 boards and dish out a
- 29:21couple of assists who's also a solid defender.
- 29:25So just adding a piece piece of depth.
- 29:29This is the one of the newest expansion teams here, so I don't
- 29:34think they're trying to make some moves and build up their
- 29:39their line up a little bit. But the big move here I really
- 29:43the only other big trade that's that's gone down recently is
- 29:47Kelsey Plum short lived returned to Los Angeles.
- 29:53She's been traded to the Phoenix Mercury, which is giant move for
- 30:01them. Phoenix is a team on the outside
- 30:05looking in. They're actually right now
- 30:09behind the the sparks in the standings, but they definitely
- 30:18could use use the help they aside from a Kalia copper, they
- 30:26haven't had the best production from guards and she's really had
- 30:31to. She's definitely more of a a
- 30:35scorer. Alyssa Thomas has taken on a lot
- 30:41of the play making duties. She currently leads the team in
- 30:45rebounds per game, assists per game, steals per game and blocks
- 30:51per game. So it's they just really needed
- 30:57another guard in there to kind of run the offense through.
- 30:59I think this is this really helped them out.
- 31:02They're going to look a lot better in the half court.
- 31:08Hopefully this will help get their their turnovers down a
- 31:11little bit of team that's averaging, you know, 13 a game
- 31:17Now. Plum's just a really dynamic
- 31:19shooter as well. She can and let's see, she's
- 31:26shooting this season, you know, 39 percent, 39 1/2% from the
- 31:31field shooting, 53% from the field, averaging 23, two and
- 31:39six. We know she's a good defender.
- 31:42She's got very active hands, can add some perimeter defense for
- 31:49them as well. I like this move for the
- 31:53Mercury. I think this addressed a pretty
- 31:56big need for them and with her finally being there, they could.
- 32:07I mean, they're going to really have to lock it in here at the
- 32:10end of the season. Go see how many weeks we got
- 32:15left. I believe we are going till the
- 32:2820 now. Till 29th is the final week of
- 32:38the regular season. So there aren't too many games
- 32:40left for these teams. So you're think each team's
- 32:45looking at anywhere from like 7 to 8 more games this month or
- 32:53this year. So it's coming down to the nitty
- 32:56gritty. They really need to stack up
- 32:58some wins looking at the standings.
- 33:01I mean, it'll be tough. They're currently 12 and 19 and
- 33:1210th place in the league. They'll definitely need some
- 33:15teams to start losing. The Washington Mystic or the New
- 33:21York Liberty would be their best bets here.
- 33:26If they can keep Plum long term, I think they'll definitely be a
- 33:28better team next year. This move might have been a
- 33:31little too late for them. It's going to be really tough
- 33:38for them to to make it. We're going to take a look at
- 33:43how many games they have left here.
- 33:51Yeah, we'll see. That'll be the that's that's
- 33:56what we always have to do do with these trades.
- 33:58You kind of have to wait and see.
- 34:01I'm just not super confident that it's going to make too much
- 34:04of a difference for them this year, but next year they'll
- 34:06certainly be a force to be reckoned with.
- 34:09We're going to take a look at some of these award-winning odds
- 34:14to see who's leading the race in some of the big awards.
- 34:18MVPI mean Asia Wilson's just running away with it.
- 34:23Your next closest as of an hour ago on the updated odds through
- 34:30Caesar Sports Book is you've got Caitlin Clark, Olivia Miles,
- 34:36both plus 1400. You got pagebackers at +2000
- 34:43Asia -290. I mean, it's just it looks like
- 34:48she is well on her way to winning her fifth MVP.
- 34:56Just one conference player of the week.
- 34:58She was averaging 32, 10 and 3212 and 5.
- 35:08She's averaging almost 27 points per game, averaging 2 blocks a
- 35:13game, call it 10 rebounds a game, basically 9.6.
- 35:18She shoots 5354% from the field and she's all shooting almost
- 35:2345% from 3. Just she's just unstoppable
- 35:30right now. You gotta give a shout out to
- 35:32Olivia the rookie to be even, you know, and considered the MVP
- 35:38race. But to be top 3 is really
- 35:43impressive, averaging 22 points a game and six assists and
- 35:50shooting 50% from three over this little winning streak that
- 35:56the the links have been on. And hey, her credit to her team.
- 35:58They they are first in the league looking at some of the
- 36:02Depoy odds, not as much of AA runaway, but Asia's still with a
- 36:09pretty big lead over everybody at plus 320.
- 36:13Your ex closest is Gabby Williams at plus 1000 yeah,
- 36:19Natasha Howard at plus 25 hundreds.
- 36:28So I think Asia, we could be looking on her fifth MVP and her
- 36:334th deploy just yeah, absolutely unreal.
- 36:38I think it she might, I mean, in my opinion, she was already to
- 36:43go to the West, but I think she's proud.
- 36:45I think this will this will solidify it with all these.
- 36:48I mean she's won 3 championships as well, could potentially win
- 36:55the 4th as well. Yeah.
- 36:58I mean she's just her ability to protect the rim rebound is
- 37:02unnatched and I mean she's a good defender away from the
- 37:06basket, anchoring the the 6th ranked scoring defense in the
- 37:12league. Give that Gabby Williams some
- 37:15credit. She is the the best defender on
- 37:21the top scoring defense in the league.
- 37:23Golden State only allows 77 points per game.
- 37:29That's like nearly six points fewer than the next closest
- 37:32team, which is Washington getting, you know, nearly two
- 37:39steals a game. For Williams, she takes on a lot
- 37:43of the difficult perimeter assignments.
- 37:47It's really tough defending on the perimeter night after night.
- 37:50And to do it at a high level, she's a big reason on why this
- 37:55team is 20 and 9 and why they rank 5th with eight steals a
- 38:02game. And they have one of the best
- 38:04scoring differentials in the league.
- 38:08So I wouldn't be. I think Gabby, we could see here
- 38:11creep up on the odds. This one's not as much of A
- 38:13runaway. I don't know if Natasha Howard
- 38:16there, then Brian Howard's the next closest could catch up.
- 38:19But I wouldn't be surprised if Gabby can't get that.
- 38:23Get them there. Yeah, let me know is Asia going
- 38:29to secure her 5th and MVP and 4th DPOI or the somebody else
- 38:34catcher? Let me know what you think
- 38:36taking a look at some of our next awards.
- 38:39The most improved Jessica Shepherd currently leading that
- 38:44plus 1/15. She's just really turned into a
- 38:51great all around front court player.
- 38:55Tied for first with in terms of rebounds per game 11.8.
- 38:59So you know, almost 12 points, 12 rebounds a game, 14 points
- 39:06and five assists. Shooting 58% from the field.
- 39:11Super well-rounded. Recorded 19 double double s this
- 39:18season and a league high for triple double s.
- 39:24Just a really crucial piece or a very improved Dallas Wings team
- 39:32overall. You've got Carla Levy from the
- 39:40Portland Fire also looking. She's at +800.
- 39:47I think we could see her jump up as well though.
- 39:54She actually became the youngest player in WNBA history to record
- 39:57multiple games with at least 20 points and 10 assists.
- 40:03So I mean she is just a scoring engine, whether that be
- 40:08generating points through assist or just getting the the ball in
- 40:14the hoop herself. But yeah, averaging 15 1/2
- 40:22points per game and 6.2 assists. She shoots 44% from the from the
- 40:30field and 36 point or almost 37% from 3.
- 40:36So wouldn't be surprised to see her jump up Shepherd's.
- 40:42I still think Shepherd's probably got this locked.
- 40:44I mean, her overall impact across the board, I think it's
- 40:51just heavier, especially like she's just such a demon on the
- 40:57the boards and the fact that she's still able to like average
- 41:02around 5 assists a game. I think she's just overall the
- 41:08more impactful player for her team and in general.
- 41:11But yeah, Carla is real a really special playmaker, 6th woman of
- 41:19the year. You've got Janelle Sala for the
- 41:23the Valkyries kind of running away with it, man.
- 41:26She's played, I mean, the big thing, availability.
- 41:29She's played in all 29 of their games, coming off the bench and
- 41:37shooting 40% from 3 and averaging, you know, only
- 41:42playing around 22.22 minutes a game, averaging 13 points and
- 41:46four rebounds. Very efficient.
- 41:50Again, a really great defender as well for her team off the
- 41:54bench. I think it's really hers to
- 41:56lose. The next closest you got Sophie
- 41:59Cunningham at +700. Some of the other ladies were
- 42:03just way behind like Cameron brings that plus 3000 jewel
- 42:06Lloyd that +5000. Now Cunningham has only missed
- 42:13three games this year. She's averaging 92 and, and one,
- 42:19her big thing is she's just a really great 3 point shooter
- 42:25averaging 45% from 3. So just a really efficient
- 42:30perimeter score, which is great. That's something you really want
- 42:34for a bench player, but Solana is just way more impactful and
- 42:43and every other aspect and she isn't even that much worse at
- 42:48shooting the three. So I think it's her hers to
- 42:51lose. That's that's a look at those
- 42:56WNBA awards player. The players that I didn't know
- 43:01they're missing that you think the odds makers got wrong, like
- 43:04who's who else is got the potential to to win some of
- 43:09those awards? Let me know what your thoughts
- 43:11are in the comments. We're going to go ahead and hit
- 43:16another music break. When we come back, we'll we'll
- 43:23talk about some stuff going around, going around NFL
- 43:27training camp and maybe take a look at some of the preseason
- 43:32games that we got coming up this weekend.
- 43:34So stay with us. Don't go anywhere.

- 47:00MV Radio dot US. Welcome back, ladies and
- 47:07gentlemen, it's the final time out your military broadcast
- 47:11radio having a good time hanging out with you all this morning.
- 47:16Keep in mind the phone lines are open.
- 47:17The text lines are open. Leave a comment, ask me
- 47:20questions. I'm here to answer them.
- 47:23I'm just here for y'all. All right, anything, anything
- 47:25you got. If you just want to vent about
- 47:28your team, how crappy they are too One of the stuff man, we I,
- 47:31I'm I'm all for it beauty talking sports.
- 47:36Well, waiting on waiting on people to call in and things
- 47:41like that. Going to go ahead and jump over
- 47:43to some NFL training camp and pre season news.
- 47:48I'm actually going to start by putting the San Francisco 49ers
- 47:54on blast and just the media in general.
- 47:59But we all heard the seen the memes and the jokes about the
- 48:06electrical substation that is apparently causing all these
- 48:11injuries for the San Francisco, for the Niners.
- 48:15And, well, I got to say that you're a 49ers strand.
- 48:19Or if you want the 49ers to be good again for whatever, excuse
- 48:22me, For whatever reason, all you're all you do in my playing,
- 48:27in these memes is helping them duck accountability.
- 48:31Because a team does not be. It starts with the leadership
- 48:38and it starts with the people and the facility.
- 48:41A big common nominator is Dustin Perry.
- 48:46He's been the vice president of players, player health and
- 48:49performance for eight years now. You've got your head strength
- 48:58and conditioning coach Mike the Colony, but guys like that are
- 49:05in charge of keeping these, these players healthy.
- 49:08It's the way how the way you practice.
- 49:12Like you, I saw a couple of clips just from this past
- 49:18training camp session. They're doing walkthroughs
- 49:21without any pads on. And you've got guys like
- 49:23punching at the football and you know, hitting their guy like
- 49:28Fred Warner try to punch out of the football.
- 49:30It's it's a walkthrough like, and there's it's more contact
- 49:34than you need to do when you're doing a walkthrough.
- 49:36So and like Kyle Shanahan, like should not be you should be
- 49:41getting on guys about that. Like, hey, like we don't need to
- 49:44be hurting our own players in walkthroughs and doing things
- 49:47like this. We just received a text.
- 49:49HG Michael from Canada says should star players play at all
- 49:56during the upcoming pre season? It's it's very situational
- 50:03there. Michael, depending on what the
- 50:08the situation is like a guy that's on a new team.
- 50:11I think absolutely does need to play a little bit.
- 50:15You can practice in training camp and and just practice all
- 50:19season long. But like the preseason is like
- 50:22real game speed and it gives you a chance to practice to do those
- 50:29plays the and see these concepts in a real game situation.
- 50:36Guys that have been with a team longer and you know, have, if
- 50:42the playbook hasn't changed a whole lot and there isn't too
- 50:47many new things for you to learn, I think that's better for
- 50:50those guys to sit and rest or the just play very sparingly.
- 50:55But I think we're going to see guys that are in new situations
- 50:59definitely play a little bit. And I think overall, I know it's
- 51:05risky to have your players play in the preseason, but I, I think
- 51:11even just getting them a driver to a game is good to get them
- 51:16used. You know, it's a long offseason.
- 51:18You kind of need to just get yourself acclimated back to the
- 51:21football game speed. But some teams like to just
- 51:26treat those first few weeks of the season like it's a preseason
- 51:29and that not play as many of their star players.
- 51:34Timmy from Texas, right? Tim, which team do you think is
- 51:39going to be flying under the radar this year?
- 51:44Flying under the radar? I've got, I've got a few in
- 51:53mind. This is what the first seems
- 51:59like. The Dallas Cowboys not
- 52:01necessarily are going to be flying under the radar, but I do
- 52:06think have the capacity. We always think them as all
- 52:09they, yeah, they'll be great in the regular season and choke in
- 52:12the playoffs. But over the past few years,
- 52:15we've seen some of the best play we've seen out of Dak Prescott.
- 52:22I think Schottenheimer's really done it.
- 52:25Or their coach. It's not Schottenheimer.
- 52:29I'm blanking on his name, but the new head coach, he was
- 52:31really good last year. I think I have a lot of optimism
- 52:35about Christian Parker as the defensive coordinator.
- 52:39I think the Cowboys are a team capable of of putting together a
- 52:44potentially deep run isn't necessarily their year.
- 52:47The NFC is brutal. It's very tough.
- 52:51But I think they realistically could be the best team in the
- 52:54NFC East and I wouldn't be all surprised to see them shock some
- 53:00people and go to like the the conference championship.
- 53:04The team I think that will fly under the radar the most is the
- 53:09New Orleans Saints, though. Obviously they weren't too good
- 53:11at second year quarterback who played really well at the end of
- 53:16the season, but they added so much.
- 53:17They just have so much speed at that wide receiver position.
- 53:21They didn't really lose anything too crucial on the defensive
- 53:27side of the ball. The division isn't very tough.
- 53:33I think what sets them apart from every other team in their
- 53:36division right now is that Chase Young really looks like that
- 53:39disruptive edge rusher that you have there.
- 53:43The running backroom is absolutely stacked, so they're a
- 53:48team that could, I mean really flip their win total and go from
- 53:54they won what, six games last year to I wouldn't be surprised
- 53:59if the chips fall right for them.
- 54:01They have a pretty easy schedule as well and they win 1112 games.
- 54:06So those are the two teams to to really watch out for in my
- 54:12opinion. I'll also give the Colts a shout
- 54:14out. I think they got really bad luck
- 54:17with injuries. I think if they stay healthy,
- 54:21that offensive line is still one of the best in football.
- 54:25Jonathan Taylor is really good and Daniel Jones, I I believe in
- 54:35what him and Shane Styken can do there.
- 54:38It looked good all right and I think if Taylor's with a elite
- 54:42back like Taylor, I mean all you have to do is protect the
- 54:45football. Their defense is really good as
- 54:48well. They can they can survive off of
- 54:52being a run heavy team on the run steady defense or run steady
- 54:57diet rather so I wouldn't yeah, I wouldn't sleep on the Colts
- 55:03either. They could surprise some people.
- 55:07But last little note I had on the the 49ers, it's not just a
- 55:12substation. You've been the most injured
- 55:15team or in the top 10 most injured teams 12 out of the last
- 55:1813 seasons. You got to do something
- 55:20different. People got to be held
- 55:22accountable there. On to some other news that we
- 55:26got. Keep those questions coming.
- 55:28Guys. Love answering them.
- 55:29On some other news that we got though, Dijon Robinson just
- 55:34became the highest paid running back in NFL history with a
- 55:40record setting four or three-year $75 million
- 55:48extension. He's going to get at least 51
- 55:55million guaranteed and 37 million at signing.
- 56:00So huge, huge contract for Bichon and how the pressure is
- 56:07on the Lions. You're going to have to pay
- 56:09Jameer Gibbs and it's going to cost a lot.
- 56:14It's not going to be fun. You're not going to want to pay
- 56:17that, but you're going to have to.
- 56:20That certainly puts a lot of pressure on whoever is going to
- 56:24be quarterbacking, the Chicago, not the Chicago, the Atlanta
- 56:29Falcons. You're going to have.
- 56:34I mean it. You just extended your running
- 56:37back. The defense is solid.
- 56:39They did lose their promising rookie edge rusher Jalen Walker
- 56:44toward his ACL and looks like that's going to be a season
- 56:50ending for him. But the defense, so the side of
- 56:54the ball still got some talent there.
- 56:57You've got a lot of elite weapons on offense, Kyle Pitts,
- 57:02Drake London, Bijan Robinson now throwing a lot of excuses for
- 57:09the Falcons team. And I mean, it's like it'll be
- 57:11make or break for Michael Pennix or a last chance for two of
- 57:15whoever ends up being the quarterback.
- 57:17There doesn't really seem like they have a clear a clear
- 57:24decision on who's going to be quarterback in Atlanta on Week
- 57:271. Some other extensions, Bijan or
- 57:32I said be John Zay Flowers getting a four year, $140
- 57:37million extension. So the Ravens are still all in
- 57:43on Zay Flowers there. You know, he's got, he's still
- 57:48one of the elite catch and run receivers.
- 57:51He's so dynamic with the ball in his hands.
- 57:59And another big extension, Darnell Wright going to become
- 58:04the highest paid or one of the highest paid offensive lineman
- 58:09in the NFL. Four year, $116 million deal,
- 58:1693,000,000 guaranteed. Former first rounder is cashing
- 58:21in in a big way, but he deserves it.
- 58:24He is one of the elite, elite offensive lineman in football
- 58:29for a tackle. His size, the way he's able to
- 58:31move his feet, the power and athleticism, that is a rare
- 58:37combo. That is a guy you want on your
- 58:40offensive line and that you want protecting your star quarterback
- 58:45and opening up running lanes for your running backs.
- 58:50So huge, big, big signing there for the Bears.
- 58:55Good for them. Some unfortunate news for
- 58:59Chicago. Kobe Bryant probably going to
- 59:01miss the first couple weeks of the season.
- 59:05He's expected to be sidelined with a hyperextended knee bone
- 59:08bruise. 8 to 10 weeks. I'll be unfortunate for the
- 59:15Bears. Yeah, they're especially.
- 59:17They could really use a good safety like him back there for
- 59:21them. Chicago, they were a really fun
- 59:25team last year. But one thing that worries me is
- 59:30they didn't make a ton of improvements defensively.
- 59:34I like Kobe Bryant was great for the secondary.
- 59:38They still don't have a lot of speed or disruptive ability on
- 59:41their defensive front. Be tough to live in the OR
- 59:45escape on those one score games. I just don't think they're going
- 59:49to have as many takeaways as they did last year.
- 59:53Jadeveon Clowney, a reunion with the Cleveland or with the
- 59:58Houston Texans coming back for you know, we'll see.
- 1:00:03It's a one year deal, but can't hurt to have even more depth to
- 1:00:09just an already insanely stacked defensive line.
- 1:00:15Houston, my prediction. I mean, there is really, there's
- 1:00:18no reason they shouldn't be the number one defense in football.
- 1:00:22They didn't really lose anybody too instrumental to their team.
- 1:00:27They get Kaden McDonald in the draft and they also bring in
- 1:00:32Reed Blankenship. I mean, this should be an elite
- 1:00:34defensive unit here. Fortunate for Ricky Pearsall,
- 1:00:40that was tragic to hear that he's going to have to go under
- 1:00:43seat. Season ending surgery.
- 1:00:45Got a guy that was so healthy in college and just I can't just
- 1:00:53can't seem to stay on the field. It really sucks, man.
- 1:00:55It really, really sucks. Yeah.
- 1:01:02Hope he gets better soon. The another big extension here,
- 1:01:10the Falcons, their guard Matthew Bergon, a huge extension there.
- 1:01:16So that's going to be again, part of that offensive core.
- 1:01:21They're the Falcons are going all in, but I just don't think
- 1:01:25they have the quarterback for that.
- 1:01:28As we get through the regular season in the coming weeks, I'm
- 1:01:32going to have power rankings and record predictions for all the
- 1:01:37team. So stay tuned, look forward to
- 1:01:40that. We're going to have some
- 1:01:41preseason games coming up this weekend.
- 1:01:43So I just want to take a look at some of those and let you know
- 1:01:48where or some intriguing stories might be.
- 1:01:52Obviously we've got the Hall of Fame Game tonight or tomorrow
- 1:01:55night. That'll be exciting.
- 1:02:00And then the rest of the preseason doesn't really get
- 1:02:02going until August 13th. Keeping an eye on this, this
- 1:02:10Colts game. I'm just, I want to see what
- 1:02:13Anthony Richardson's got. Have they made any improvements
- 1:02:19to his mechanics and his intermediate passing?
- 1:02:22And he's got such a nuke of an arm.
- 1:02:25It'd be such a shame. And he's just so much
- 1:02:28athleticism. So just be like, can they find
- 1:02:32the role for him? Can something I'm going to be
- 1:02:35watching from the Colts all preseason, can they kind of
- 1:02:38carve out a, a niche for him there?
- 1:02:45Cam Ward and Carnell Tay, I'm excited to see what they've got
- 1:02:49potentially coming up as they take on the the 49ers.
- 1:02:57Obviously my Broncos, they're playing the the Falcons on
- 1:03:00Friday, August 14th. I want to see Jalen Waddle in
- 1:03:05action. So hopefully we get some some
- 1:03:08Waddle action there. The Jets could have an
- 1:03:12interesting quarterback battle on their hands.
- 1:03:16We're going to probably see Gina.
- 1:03:17We're going to see Kate Klubnik, maybe Tyrod Taylor if he's still
- 1:03:20there. I can't even really remember
- 1:03:22everyone in that that quarterback room.
- 1:03:28Bills. Do we get to see a little Josh
- 1:03:30Allen and DJ Moore connection? That'll be fun.
- 1:03:33Vikings first look at Kyler Murray playing for the the
- 1:03:37Vikings. Will we see any Miles Garrett
- 1:03:41when the Rams take on the Chiefs?
- 1:03:43That's something that I'll be I'll be eager to see.
- 1:03:46How is he looking on that Rams defense?
- 1:03:53The Seahawks taking out the Cowboys, something to watch in
- 1:03:58that game. Kind of a running back that
- 1:04:01battle here. I mean, the Seahawks spent a
- 1:04:03first round pick on, excuse me, I got the hiccups on Jadarian
- 1:04:07Price. Are we going to see, you know,
- 1:04:14him getting a lot of the reps? Is he going to be cutting into
- 1:04:17Jack Zach Charbonnay's work? Who's going to look more
- 1:04:21impressive that there's kind of an RB battle there in Seattle
- 1:04:25going on throughout the season? Hey, y'all, I'm, I'm obviously
- 1:04:29fishing for some stuff. It's preseason.
- 1:04:31It's a lot of just guys trying to make the roster, teams trying
- 1:04:35to to work out the the kinks and their game plans and their their
- 1:04:39playbooks. But yeah, still some intriguing
- 1:04:41things to to look forward to. Another thing to look forward
- 1:04:45to, college football is going to be back very, very soon.
- 1:04:53And week zero, Week 1 living on the call.
- 1:04:58It's going to be upon us pretty quickly looking at some of the
- 1:05:05first games that we're going to get this month.
- 1:05:14August 29th should be game on the 22nd.
- 1:05:18I'm not sure why, ESP NS not showing that, but we're looking
- 1:05:21at some of these matchups here on August 29th, some of the
- 1:05:25intrigue that we could have here.
- 1:05:30Sacramento State, their first game in the FBS level.
- 1:05:35They'll be taking on Eastern Michigan.
- 1:05:38Be fun to watch there. We've got a couple of conference
- 1:05:42matchups. I mean, NC State playing
- 1:05:44Virginia, there's intrigue there, especially because NC
- 1:05:50State's sort of had Virginia's number past couple years.
- 1:05:53But Virginia did come very close to winning the ACC last year.
- 1:06:00Also, North Dakota State, their first game at the FBS level,
- 1:06:04they'll be hosting Jacksonville State.
- 1:06:08Two Group of Six teams that have some playoff hopes and our
- 1:06:13favorites to potentially win their respective conferences.
- 1:06:17You've got Memphis taken on UNLV.
- 1:06:19Memphis, one of the the teams to favorite to potentially win the
- 1:06:24American UNLV with Boise State out of the picture and in the
- 1:06:28PAC 12. It's really, really be even of
- 1:06:31these year to be the top dog and to win the win the Mountain
- 1:06:37West. And then I think the matchup I'm
- 1:06:40really looking forward to North Carolina.
- 1:06:42Really disappointing season last year.
- 1:06:44So they are going to want to come back strong.
- 1:06:48They're taking on a TCU team that is in a very competitive
- 1:06:53and difficult Big 12. So that will be a very
- 1:06:59intriguing game to watch. That is our Aer Lingus College
- 1:07:03Football Classic. And I want to also be rolling
- 1:07:09out my own preseason top 25, some of my favorite group of Six
- 1:07:14teams to watch in the coming weeks as well.
- 1:07:18So stay tuned for that. But my favorite time of the year
- 1:07:21is almost back. It's The Saturdays and Sundays.
- 1:07:25It's just football, football, football.
- 1:07:27I mean, Thursday, Friday, even in the Monday, we've just got
- 1:07:32College in the NFL to to feed this.
- 1:07:36So I'm very excited. So it's getting to that time of
- 1:07:39the year again. So I can't wait.
- 1:07:40And I'll be here to keep you all updated.
- 1:07:44And we're going to be we're previewing and looking ahead to
- 1:07:47the season. So stay tuned to keep an eye out
- 1:07:50for that. Come up on that time though, to
- 1:07:53take another break. We're going to go ahead and hit
- 1:07:57our one of our final music break of the show today.
- 1:07:59Most likely when we come back, I'm going to go ahead and do
- 1:08:03another mock draft. So if you've got a, you know
- 1:08:08where you're picking and you know what your league's format
- 1:08:12is, your roster format, let me know.
- 1:08:14I'd be happy to mock draft for you and just give you my
- 1:08:17thoughts. If not though, we're going to
- 1:08:20take a stab at a late round pick.
- 1:08:22I'm thinking 8 or 9, kind of a difficult spot to pick out,
- 1:08:27especially in the 12 man league, but we're going to take a shot
- 1:08:29and show you how to construct a really good team from that
- 1:08:32position. So don't go anywhere.
- 1:08:34We're watching the final time out.
- 1:08:36You're on military broadcaster. Yeah.

- 1:10:16Call lines are open. Please send in your questions if
- 1:10:20you got them Love to answer those.
- 1:10:23And we're going to go ahead and do a a mock draft.
- 1:10:26So let me get this up for y'all. I think we're going to go take
- 1:10:29this at the number ninth position.
- 1:10:32It's a tough place to draft in. You know, it can be a little can
- 1:10:35be a little daunting, but obviously somebody's got a draft
- 1:10:38there and that's going to be us for this this experiment.
- 1:10:44So we're jumping into it. We're going to just get right
- 1:10:49in. I've got it ready to go.
- 1:10:52And yeah, we're at standard PPR scoring to keep that in mind.
- 1:11:00That's PPR is the way to go. We're just going to go hit it.
- 1:11:05So maybe, I guess not. This one's going to require me
- 1:11:12to use the sign in. All right, stand by everyone.
- 1:11:30#9 pick, all right, we're in. All right, so here we are then.
- 1:11:41That pick 9, A guy that kind of scares me that is available is
- 1:11:46Derrick Henry. I'm not super high on taking
- 1:11:50Henry in the first round. I think if you can get him in
- 1:11:53the second round, like if you swing back around and get
- 1:11:56Derrick Henry, I'd love that. But I think this year, new
- 1:12:02offensive coordinator, the offensive line, still one of the
- 1:12:09best in football, A.J. Brown out of the picture.
- 1:12:15So I think you're going to just see a lot more volume for this
- 1:12:19guy. I really love Saquon Barkley
- 1:12:21right here since this is PPR, Almond Raw, St.
- 1:12:25Brown also an insanely safe pick.
- 1:12:29If you don't, if you're not feel, if you're feeling a little
- 1:12:32uncomfortable about these 3 running backs are going to
- 1:12:34probably be available here. Almond Raw or even CD are both
- 1:12:39very great safe value picks. You can take them and swing back
- 1:12:43around, but I really like Saquon.
- 1:12:45He's going to be one of the top 10 running backs that go in
- 1:12:49fantasy drafts and a lot of times your top 10 finishes in
- 1:12:52fantasy for the running back position.
- 1:12:55They go in the first and second round.
- 1:12:56So I'm going to go ahead and snag him.
- 1:12:58There's just more depth at the wide receiver position.
- 1:13:03So Bam Gente off the board. Now I'm going to go with a
- 1:13:09little bit of an interesting strategy here for you.
- 1:13:15But like I mentioned, there's a lot of depth at the wide
- 1:13:18receiver position. There's just more value there.
- 1:13:22This is called the 2 running back strategy.
- 1:13:25You can go ahead, just pick two really top tier running backs
- 1:13:30early and then pick go swing for some high value upside players
- 1:13:41later. So at this point, we're going to
- 1:13:45go with Kenneth Walker. I know Justin Jefferson's there.
- 1:13:47That's probably who I'd take if I was going to go with a wide
- 1:13:50receiver in this position. But we're going to take Kenneth
- 1:13:53Walker now. I think we've got really, I
- 1:13:55mean, two guys that don't have a lot of competition in their
- 1:13:59backfields and are going to get a ton of carries.
- 1:14:05They're both pass catching threats.
- 1:14:07Now we can go and take a look at some guys at the wide receiver
- 1:14:10position. So a little worried about Malik
- 1:14:12Neighbors coming off of the ACL, same with Rasheed Rice.
- 1:14:16Just looking at everyone we've got available at the wide
- 1:14:22receiver position. I'm actually going to go ahead
- 1:14:24and take Zay Flowers here. The Ravens just extended him.
- 1:14:29There isn't a lot of competition for him besides maybe rookie
- 1:14:33Jacoby Lane. I mean, he's still the wide
- 1:14:35receiver one there in Baltimore. Obviously, you've got one of the
- 1:14:40best quarterbacks in the league throwing to him.
- 1:14:43And my only concern would maybe be the brain and Todd Munkin no
- 1:14:49longer being there at the offensive coordinated position.
- 1:14:52But I still think he'll see a high, high percentage of the
- 1:14:56targets. Devante Smith also an insanely
- 1:14:59safe pick. I just have Saquan.
- 1:15:00So I don't like those guys having the same bye week.
- 1:15:03Wouldn't hate taking Waddle here as well, but I'm going to go and
- 1:15:05say in this position, all right, here we go.
- 1:15:13And now I mean Jalen Waddle still on the board for me.
- 1:15:22Adams, Adams is he's questionable to me.
- 1:15:28I might take him here, but a lot of his production came from red
- 1:15:33zone targets and touchdowns. That's not necessarily going to
- 1:15:37be the case. I don't know if that's going to
- 1:15:39be just a sustainable strategy for him.
- 1:15:42You know, it'll be hard to replicate all those red zone
- 1:15:45targets that he got, especially with Puka getting that that
- 1:15:49extension. So I'm going to go with Waddle
- 1:15:52here. He's a guy in a new situation.
- 1:15:55Those new situations can be where they're just advantageous
- 1:15:59for those players or just that was like 4 of the top 10
- 1:16:03finishes last year or might have been three in terms of wide
- 1:16:07receivers like the past couple seasons usually see three or
- 1:16:09four guys in new situations finish within the top 10
- 1:16:14fantasy. So Waddle going to go take him
- 1:16:18there now. I think we're coming up on pick
- 1:16:205. This will be a good time to take
- 1:16:21a look at our quarterback position.
- 1:16:24You can see all these picks that are coming off here what we've
- 1:16:29got. Let's take a look at everybody
- 1:16:32that's still available here. All right.
- 1:16:37Just some of our quarterbacks that they're available.
- 1:16:44I'm actually going to break my own rule.
- 1:16:46I'm not going to go take a quarterback here.
- 1:16:48We're going to go take a tight end guy that I think has a lot
- 1:16:53of high upside, somebody who we imagine is going to get a lot of
- 1:16:57targets. I do like Tyler Warren.
- 1:16:59I'm more partial to Tucker Craft a bit more proven he's coming
- 1:17:04off of an injury, but couple of major pass cashiers out in Green
- 1:17:09Bay. He's so explosive with the ball
- 1:17:13in his hands as well. Travis Kelsey, like prime Travis
- 1:17:16Kelsey, like athleticism. We're going to take Tucker now
- 1:17:24comes back to us. We're just going to swing around
- 1:17:28and grab Drake May. I love his situation.
- 1:17:32I mean, the line's still pretty good.
- 1:17:36Schedule's going to be a little bit tougher, but you add Romeo
- 1:17:40Dobbs and A.J. Brown to that pass catching
- 1:17:43room, I don't think there's any reason to believe that Drake Man
- 1:17:46can't replicate his production from last year and finish top
- 1:17:5015, top 10 fantasy. Now we just continue to look for
- 1:17:59depth. Now we're going to start looking
- 1:18:00for depth and value picks here. A couple of guys that really
- 1:18:08stand out to me. Again, DJ Moore, another guy
- 1:18:09that's in a great situation. Play Coram.
- 1:18:14I really do like, I think he's going to become the RV one in in
- 1:18:21LA, but that's a it's just like he's a bit of a stasher.
- 1:18:25So it's a bit risky to take him here honestly.
- 1:18:28Who I'm going with his Parker Washington.
- 1:18:30He exploded at the end of the year.
- 1:18:35And I mean there's just Brian Thomas junior had a bit of a
- 1:18:40slump off. I mean, you losing some pass
- 1:18:43catching ability and Travis Etn, Liam Cohen's just very creative
- 1:18:48getting a guy who's explosive with the ball, getting him space
- 1:18:54to run. So I I just think we might see
- 1:18:57him even get a little bit involved with rushing.
- 1:18:59I love Parker WA as our flex. I just see Brandon Aubrey go
- 1:19:05that's insane. All right now here's where we
- 1:19:09probably go grab some RB depth. Taking a look at some of the
- 1:19:12guys here don't hate Jacory Croskey merit in this situation.
- 1:19:18I'm going to go with Kenneth Gainwell though.
- 1:19:23He just showed so much elite pass catching potential.
- 1:19:27I mean, it's just hard, especially like losing Mike
- 1:19:30Evans. I mean, like, it's hard.
- 1:19:32It'll be really hard for the Buccaneers to not get Gain well
- 1:19:37out there on the field. So I know Bucky Irving is the
- 1:19:41RB1 there, but Gainwell is just way too productive as a pass
- 1:19:47catcher. He's really good running back as
- 1:19:49well. I think Bucky's a guy who I kind
- 1:19:53of want to avoid because of Kenneth Daniel.
- 1:19:55I think Gainwell's really going to eat into his workload and I
- 1:19:58don't hate having them on my team.
- 1:20:09I got the long wait back to us. All right.
- 1:20:17Well, you have, I like our three receivers.
- 1:20:20We've got a couple of a couple of interesting options here at
- 1:20:27this point. I do, I do want to take another
- 1:20:33running back because again, I feel like we can still find some
- 1:20:36value from receivers. And I think this is where we're
- 1:20:40going to start seeing our the running backs.
- 1:20:45I mean, as you can see, they're going to start taking a sharp
- 1:20:48dip from here. Like I said, Charbonnet, a guy
- 1:20:57that I was a little, I'm a little hesitant to take because
- 1:21:00I could see Price eating into his workload a lot.
- 1:21:06However, he's not. I'm going to take him because
- 1:21:10you can draft players to have for just part of the season and
- 1:21:14then drop later. I think early on we're still
- 1:21:18going to see Charbonnay be the RB 1 he is.
- 1:21:22The more he's the more power back and that in that room.
- 1:21:27So and early in the season, I think his goal line and red zone
- 1:21:33work will still be higher. He's a guy that I think will be
- 1:21:37beneficial to have on my team early and then I don't hate
- 1:21:41moving on from later when when I'm trying to target people on
- 1:21:49the waiver wires. All right, going to go ahead and
- 1:21:52take a look at some of our other options.
- 1:21:58I'm all right. Couple of guys to jump out to
- 1:22:02me. Jayden Reed, again, so explosive
- 1:22:05and dynamic, but his health has been a concern for me.
- 1:22:11Xavier Worthy, another guy that could be really good.
- 1:22:19I just, I'm on again, the health problems, if Rice is actually
- 1:22:24able to stay out there on the field, I wonder if his targets
- 1:22:27will come down. He's also kind of a boom or bust
- 1:22:30player where a lot of his points can be generated just based off
- 1:22:33of explosive plays. For me, a really safe pick.
- 1:22:37I mean, Romeo Dobbs, opposite of A.J.
- 1:22:39Brown, you can, we can stack him with Drake May.
- 1:22:46I think that's a good pick here for us.
- 1:22:48So we're going to go ahead and get Dobbs undrafted free.
- 1:22:55Free agent Stefan Dick is getting drafted.
- 1:22:57It's just blowing my mind. OK, taking another look here in
- 1:23:07pick or in round 11. Not a bad idea to consider your
- 1:23:15backup quarterback spot at this point.
- 1:23:19We do have a pretty quick turn around.
- 1:23:21So I'm actually gonna take see, let's look at kickers defense
- 1:23:27here. Honestly at this spot, I
- 1:23:34wouldn't hate taking the defense here if we can get one of the
- 1:23:37really elite ones and look at that.
- 1:23:39We got probably the top three defenses still available.
- 1:23:46The Rams would definitely have to be there and then to round
- 1:23:50out the top five in terms of defenses in the league.
- 1:23:55Maybe the Eagles, but I would probably give it to the Vikings.
- 1:24:00Honestly, I think we can go get the Texans here.
- 1:24:06This is an elite defense that we can start for pretty much the
- 1:24:09entire year. I I just don't see any reason
- 1:24:11why you wouldn't. The Texans wouldn't be a good
- 1:24:13start. They're going to be a team that
- 1:24:15can generate a lot of sacks and takeaways.
- 1:24:19Now we can go ahead and get ourselves a, a backup
- 1:24:24quarterback. I like Drake May, but I'm a guy
- 1:24:28that I think it's important to just have a, a really solid
- 1:24:32backup that you can even besides just the bye week, if you don't
- 1:24:36have a very favorable matchup for your QB, you can go to
- 1:24:39somebody else. I love Jared Goff.
- 1:24:41I mean Jared Goff really had an MVP caliber type of season.
- 1:24:47They still have all those weapons there.
- 1:24:50I don't see any reason why he can't go for like 3800 to 4000
- 1:24:55yards passing and throw 33 to 36 touchdowns again.
- 1:25:00So go ahead and secure golf. Just need a kicker and some more
- 1:25:08depth here. Take a look at everybody that's
- 1:25:15still available. Tyler Algiers going to have to
- 1:25:18deal with a lot of the to. Darion Price could potentially
- 1:25:24take a backup tight end in this spot, but I just don't really
- 1:25:27see any reason for that. Go ahead and hit the waivers,
- 1:25:32but one week we might need to get Tucker Craft on the by.
- 1:25:36There will be somebody there that you can grab.
- 1:25:41I just don't think it's worth risk wasting a roster spot on
- 1:25:44the back up tight end. Honestly, the guy that jumps out
- 1:25:47to me in this spot, I think KC conceptual and I mean he has
- 1:25:51really no competition there. I know the offense for the
- 1:25:55Browns is going to probably be pretty putrid.
- 1:25:57Who knows? I mean that we could see five
- 1:26:01different quarterbacks for Cleveland this year.
- 1:26:03It's a real toss up on who they're going to be.
- 1:26:05They lost a lot of the pieces on their offensive line, but
- 1:26:09there's just nobody really did. There's not a lot of competition
- 1:26:14and pick around 13. He's an absolute steal at this
- 1:26:19spot, so we're going to go ahead and grab him, keep going.
- 1:26:25I think it's worth it to just wait, take a kicker in our final
- 1:26:30round, see what we got here. So we've got 5 receivers, we've
- 1:26:38got 4 running backs and maybe take a shot on the RB.
- 1:26:43Let's see who's here. Not really loving what we've got
- 1:26:50here. Be interesting here.
- 1:26:54He's just got a lot of a lot of competition there.
- 1:27:03Well, I'll tell you what we're going to do here.
- 1:27:09Couple options. So we could draft and stash
- 1:27:13approach with Jonah Coleman. JK Dobbins has had some injury
- 1:27:18issues. Could be a guy you just want to
- 1:27:21try to stash on your team or something.
- 1:27:24Or Braylon Allen does see a lot of red zone work.
- 1:27:31Throw him on the bottom of your roster there and see if you know
- 1:27:36he's if it's worth it to have him there or you can go and just
- 1:27:42load up in the wide receiver position again.
- 1:27:45Definitely some more value there.
- 1:27:50I wouldn't hate taking Omar Cooper junior alongside Garrett
- 1:27:55Wilson. You know what?
- 1:27:56I think that's what I'm going to do here.
- 1:27:58I'd probably go either Braylon Allen or Wilson, but like the
- 1:28:03running backs we have, again, we went really top heavy early on
- 1:28:07so we're not going to need to play too many different running
- 1:28:11backs. Now we've got our final pick
- 1:28:13here and we just got to go ahead and grab our kicker.
- 1:28:18Got a couple of established guys, but you know who I think
- 1:28:24just based off of some statistics will be have a really
- 1:28:28great year? Charlie Smith of the New Orleans
- 1:28:33Saints, a team that kicked a lot of field goals last year, but
- 1:28:39they just didn't have a lot of good.
- 1:28:42They just didn't have a really good kicker.
- 1:28:44But he came in and he was one of the top kickers in the leagues
- 1:28:49leagues. So I think I'm going to go with
- 1:28:52Cairo just because he's a little more established, better, not as
- 1:28:59a young of a player, bigger leg and everything.
- 1:29:01So he's probably the play there. But Smith is just a guy to keep
- 1:29:06on your radar, All right? I don't know if a lot of people
- 1:29:09are going to draft him and he has a real potential to be a top
- 1:29:1310 kicker in fantasy. Just keep him on your radar.
- 1:29:16I'm going to go Cairo because the Bears I think are a team
- 1:29:19that's going to be kicking a lot of field goals.
- 1:29:20Their offense is good enough to get the ball in the field goal
- 1:29:25range, but I could see them stalling out a good amount and
- 1:29:31they're going to the defense didn't improve a whole lot.
- 1:29:34So they're going to probably need to score a lot of points in
- 1:29:39a game a lot of weeks. So all right, well, let's take a
- 1:29:44look at the final product We get AB grade from this website B
- 1:29:50minus. They're saying our star of their
- 1:29:54strength is 6 to 12. I don't know how there's their
- 1:29:58scoring works in this or why they're saying we'd only average
- 1:30:0188 points. That's the league average.
- 1:30:04We'd be averaging 87.9. But and let me know what you
- 1:30:09think of this team, how I did on this.
- 1:30:16The two running back strategy can be a little risky.
- 1:30:19I think it works better if you're a top getting a top five
- 1:30:24pick cuz then you can take one of the really elite running
- 1:30:27backs there. But these two guys just have
- 1:30:30basically no competition and a huge workload, which is why I
- 1:30:33fit. I took a swing and took them
- 1:30:37with the two RV strategy. I will say I would probably
- 1:30:44stick to it if you're in the top five unless you have been doing
- 1:30:48fantasy football for a while. But we'll, I'll, I'll show you a
- 1:30:53demo of that next week as well when we do some more mock drafts
- 1:30:58and everything like that. But that wraps up this mock
- 1:31:01draft. I really like our bench.
- 1:31:03I think we've got a lot of a lot of upside here.
- 1:31:07Couple of guys that I wouldn't hate moving on from 2:00 as
- 1:31:10well. That can at least provide us
- 1:31:12some value early on in the season.
- 1:31:15But this is a really good team, elite defense.
- 1:31:22We've got plenty of options to go through through wide receiver
- 1:31:25and I just don't really think we're be any reason why we would
- 1:31:28be taking these two out except for bye weeks.
- 1:31:30So pretty good team. They're going to go ahead and do
- 1:31:34our final music break of the show today.
- 1:31:36But when we come back, it's going to be the 82 and no
- 1:31:40challenge. So to stay tuned for that.

- 1:35:45MV Radio dot US. Welcome back, ladies and
- 1:35:51gentlemen. Still finishing my doughnut.
- 1:35:55I apologize, but yeah, it's the final time out about the fun
- 1:36:04show today. Really excited to do not mock
- 1:36:08draft, talking about football, breaking down some of these MLB
- 1:36:12trades. Now all my favorite segments to
- 1:36:17do the team building exercise. And I'm putting together a
- 1:36:36special team. We're back challenge on the 80
- 1:36:44tl.com playing hoop IQ. We got to try to build a roster
- 1:36:48that can go 82 and based off of a decade stat averages.
- 1:36:55Can we put together the perfect roster?
- 1:36:58We don't we don't get to know any of the stats.
- 1:37:00We just got to pull, pull it out of the bag.
- 1:37:03Couple of re spins if we need them.
- 1:37:06Washington in the 60s. All right.
- 1:37:15I don't know if Wes unselder Walt Bellamy was averaging more.
- 1:37:21This isn't a terrible place to start, though.
- 1:37:23I'm going to go with Wes Unseld. Put them in their center.
- 1:37:29The good thing about those, the very old teams is that they
- 1:37:33their centers were just African ridiculous amounts of stats.
- 1:37:39Oh man, we got Indiana. We're going to re spend the
- 1:37:41team. That's really one of the worst
- 1:37:43ones to get. Boston in the 2000s isn't too
- 1:37:46bad. It's not OK.
- 1:37:50We go like Ray Allen, Allen Ray. I think we got like a Paul,
- 1:37:57what's his name, Paul Pierce here, though.
- 1:37:59That's yeah, I'm overthinking this.
- 1:38:02Paul, Paul Pierce is the way to go.
- 1:38:05We'll throw them in our small forward spot.
- 1:38:10That's true position. Dang.
- 1:38:12We get Cleveland in the 220 twenties, which is the best.
- 1:38:18We would have preferred to get the 2000s, but we can take
- 1:38:23Donovan Mitchell as our point guard.
- 1:38:28I got absolutely no problem with that.
- 1:38:30Oh, this is beautiful. Now we can go in that, get Luca.
- 1:38:36Where is he? Luke?
- 1:38:39Don Chiches, our shooting guard. That's really good there.
- 1:38:42Now we just need a strong power forward here.
- 1:38:47Ah, man, I can't play Yokich as Dang man.
- 1:38:53Wow. Well, we would have loved to get
- 1:38:55Nicola Yokich to end it off here.
- 1:38:57There we go. Aaron Gordon, I think is.
- 1:39:02Can I even play Michael Porter, Junior L SAP?
- 1:39:10I don't think he was doing enough.
- 1:39:12I think we got to just go Aaron Gordon here.
- 1:39:15I don't think that's going to be enough, though.
- 1:39:18Dang. Yeah.
- 1:39:21Well, Jesus. Like, that AG can't kind of
- 1:39:23killed us. And it was Walt Bellamy.
- 1:39:27Walt was averaging more scoring for Washington in the 60s.
- 1:39:32That's on me. I I wasn't alive in the 1960s,
- 1:39:38so it's tough to remember that far back for me, but but I get
- 1:39:44my best. That was a that was a solid
- 1:39:46start though 65 and 17. That's nothing to scoff at
- 1:39:49there. Alice in the 90s three early on
- 1:39:55that we risk going with our Reese been here.
- 1:39:57I mean, Adrian Dantley bad Alex English wasn't doing a whole
- 1:40:02lot. For Dallas, maybe Michael Finley
- 1:40:07see if there's any other names. I mean I just don't daily is a
- 1:40:17bit of a risk. Dirk was too too young.
- 1:40:21He just didn't do enough in the 90s to be that to contribute
- 1:40:26that much for us and there's and there's weren't really a lot of
- 1:40:31hot Rod Williams awesome name. We're going to re spin the era.
- 1:40:34Hopefully we get Luca. Well, we didn't get the best
- 1:40:40Luca, but that's 2010's Luca. Ain't terrible.
- 1:40:44We'll we'll take that, have them.
- 1:40:47We'll put them in our point guard for now.
- 1:40:48We might move them to our shooting guard spot.
- 1:40:52Oh, we get Chicago. We'll probably just go Derrick
- 1:40:57Rose here. Can I play?
- 1:41:01OK, so yeah, we'll just need to move Luca, the shooting guard.
- 1:41:05I'll put Derrick Rose as our point guard.
- 1:41:10It's solid. I don't know if it's Oh my God,
- 1:41:11forget the Chicago again. OK, well, I feel like we're
- 1:41:20going to have to go Elton Brand. He's which I don't love, but I
- 1:41:25don't know if I want to re spin here.
- 1:41:28Yeah, this one's kind of washed already.
- 1:41:29We're just we'll throw Brand in there.
- 1:41:32I don't think it's happening on this run.
- 1:41:37Well, yeah, then look at this. We get the the Nets that we'll
- 1:41:44just re spin the 80s. Screw it.
- 1:41:49I'm sorry. I'm not.
- 1:41:50I don't, I don't really know who to go with.
- 1:41:52That's in the 80s. Bernard Chain.
- 1:41:58I'll take Bernard Chain, throw them on there.
- 1:42:04Boy. Cleveland in the 70s.
- 1:42:05I think it is Bob Rule who's the best here.
- 1:42:07Yeah. Hammer.
- 1:42:09Nate Thurman. Go Bob Rule.
- 1:42:13We'll see. Wow.
- 1:42:14Oh, this was an abysmal team. What did we?
- 1:42:18Yeah. Oh, yeah.
- 1:42:20No. Oh, my God.
- 1:42:23Who? Who was Bob Rule hooping with?
- 1:42:25I thought it was Cleveland. Maybe it was.
- 1:42:28Maybe it was the the Bulls of the 70s Well that's my bad y'all
- 1:42:33not not the best team there 47. I think that's got to be a new
- 1:42:37low for this challenge. Hey wait a second is this does
- 1:42:42this give us LeBron so just barely make it?
- 1:42:50He does not Oh that sucks Well actually this thing this ain't
- 1:42:53the worst we take Where's the envoy Dwayne way that throw him
- 1:42:57out shooting guard his true position for now we can move him
- 1:43:01to point guard if we need it Sacramento in the 80s Danny
- 1:43:13Ainge here alrighty Johnson Cliff potentially God this is
- 1:43:25tough I'm going to re spend the team.
- 1:43:28I feel like we can get a better team in the 80s.
- 1:43:31Well, Washington, not much better, but we'll take Bernard
- 1:43:36King again. So I just don't think, I just
- 1:43:43don't think there's anybody too much better than him there.
- 1:43:46Denver in the 2000s, Well, here we go.
- 1:43:48We can get mellow, throw him in our power for that's pretty
- 1:43:53good. We'll take that.
- 1:43:54We will take that. Houston of the 80s.
- 1:44:00Hell, you can barely get Hakeem, but I believe Moses was.
- 1:44:07Yeah, it was Moses that was better, better averages for
- 1:44:11them, the 80s. So we're going to take that 90s.
- 1:44:13Hakeem is is dominant now. We need a point guard from
- 1:44:16Orlando in the 2000s. Oh, I'm going to be honest with
- 1:44:21you, DJ Augustine. I can't beat Alfred Peyton.
- 1:44:31This is, you know what we're it's so we're going to if we re
- 1:44:35spin the air, are we going to get a better point guard?
- 1:44:39We're going to just go for it. Why not?
- 1:44:422000s? Yeah, no, I'm going to say too
- 1:44:45much about her. I think it might honestly be
- 1:44:48Anthony Black. Oh, is there anybody I'm not
- 1:44:53thinking of? Nope.
- 1:44:56Yeah, We're going to just go black.
- 1:44:59Anthony Black here, I guess. Oh, Oh no, that was the
- 1:45:04horrible. It was a horrible pick by me.
- 1:45:07Rest of the team was pretty good.
- 1:45:10I just can't think of anybody better on Washington than the
- 1:45:13arc king. But maybe there's somebody I'm
- 1:45:14forgetting. I could have helped us out
- 1:45:16there. We we continue on.
- 1:45:19Also, if you want to shame me for my ball knowledge and and
- 1:45:23tell me, oh, you're an idiot, go with this guy.
- 1:45:26Please. Do I you know what?
- 1:45:29This challenge has been pretty tough.
- 1:45:31Any help would be appreciated from you to your viewers.
- 1:45:35This I think we're going to just go Mr. what's his name?
- 1:45:39Zion. There another power for there
- 1:45:45can't stay healthy. But boy, when he is on the
- 1:45:47court, it's it's fun to watch. Damon Stoudamire here.
- 1:45:56See, am I forgetting anybody? It's it's feeling.
- 1:46:01It's got to be a guard. No, I'm not Roy stardom.
- 1:46:07I think it's going to be averaging the most, which is
- 1:46:10what, which is what's important for us here.
- 1:46:14I love that less champagne. He's not very good, but we could
- 1:46:18take a fire on Aldridge. I just don't think the averages
- 1:46:21are high enough or we'll re spin the era.
- 1:46:26Screw this. Let's try to get the 20
- 1:46:27twenties, the 90s instead, OK, I can get Clyde for in the 90s,
- 1:46:38can't I? Let's see a Ford.
- 1:46:44Can I get there? He is Clyde Drexler.
- 1:46:48All right, that worked out a little bit better.
- 1:46:50I'll take Clyde Toronto with the 20 twenties.
- 1:46:56I think we just got to get all right.
- 1:47:00We're going to need to move him over there because I want Kawhi
- 1:47:04Leonard Mr. see that qualify for Oh wait, that's right.
- 1:47:13He just got back. Oh, OK.
- 1:47:17Then this is this is suddenly becomes a lot more interesting.
- 1:47:23Man, Toronto, the 20 twenties is kind of bad.
- 1:47:27We might just. Yeah, let's let's go for a re
- 1:47:30spin here. They haven't really been that
- 1:47:32good. Memphis in the 20 twenties.
- 1:47:35Well, we'll just go with John Morant.
- 1:47:41There he is. Mr. John Morant.
- 1:47:44Welcome to the squad. We need a small Ford.
- 1:47:48Oh, my God. Washington in the 90s.
- 1:47:50You're killing me with this dude.
- 1:47:52They're killing me with this Washington crap.
- 1:47:55Young Ben Wallace. Oh wait, do Chris Weber as my
- 1:48:04center. I don't know, that might be a
- 1:48:05bad play, but we'll take him see.
- 1:48:08What? Just such a good rebounder.
- 1:48:17I can go Jimmy at small 4th I guess.
- 1:48:22Oh dude we're getting some pretty terrible spins.
- 1:48:27Not like a bad team at all, but just need some like this game
- 1:48:34really values high averages. It's it's unfortunate.
- 1:48:39Oh Dang, I got really excited because I saw chapter in the 80s
- 1:48:43and then it landed on Charlotte. The God damn.
- 1:48:48I'm just respecting the team. Please give me the Bulls.
- 1:48:51I'm not taking fucking Hornets. Oh, let's go the Sacramento
- 1:48:58Kings. This is off to a terrible start.
- 1:49:03Who do we go with here? I might be selling the entire
- 1:49:11run. You're like, is this the team?
- 1:49:16Cliff Robinson's decent? This is going to be, this is all
- 1:49:25going to be experimental here, painting the best here.
- 1:49:34We're going to experiment. We're going to take Cliff
- 1:49:35Robinson. Hopefully I didn't just sell the
- 1:49:38run, but I I probably did. Cleveland of the 90s.
- 1:49:43Yeah. I mean, just absolutely
- 1:49:44atrocious. We'll take Brad Caldery, I
- 1:49:46guess. Washington of the 80s.
- 1:49:54I mean these are just putrid spins just absolutely file.
- 1:50:01Should we take a take a fire I mean where we are experimenting
- 1:50:05here Who am I thinking of oh see how muggsy bugs those averages
- 1:50:17are probably terrible. This is this is not the run.
- 1:50:21Oh my God, we're going to just try to re spin here.
- 1:50:23I'd like are you kidding me? What are the spins right now?
- 1:50:31Yeah, this is this is not much better.
- 1:50:33I I mean can I take him even? What's his name Is there traffic
- 1:50:43come? Oh, I cannot think of his name
- 1:50:48Got I got cooked by Bruce Brown that one series D Angelo
- 1:50:55Russell. There we go.
- 1:50:58Is he available now? He's not trying to move you.
- 1:51:01I can't oh, Courtney Lee, welcome to the squad.
- 1:51:07This is going to be such a bad team Utah and that's why I mean
- 1:51:11like it's just absolutely abysmal.
- 1:51:16I need a small Ford. I'm just for the the memes.
- 1:51:22AK47. Andre Karolinko.
- 1:51:25Wow, we barely went over 500 with this one.
- 1:51:28Yeah, mugsy bows wasn't good. This this was just an absolutely
- 1:51:33horrid team. Come on, wheel.
- 1:51:36Come on, Spinner. Give me a little bit better.
- 1:51:40I don't hate this. I'll take Adrian Dantley.
- 1:51:45That's a little bit better. New York in the 60s, I'm going
- 1:51:52to re spin the team. There's some really good teams
- 1:51:55you can get in the 60s. We're going to risk it here.
- 1:51:58We get Phoenix, which isn't necessarily 1 great teams.
- 1:52:04GAIL Goodrich is a beast for them, I know that.
- 1:52:10Yeah. We'll go.
- 1:52:10GAIL Goodrich. Yeah, no, it's GAIL Goodrich,
- 1:52:14not Dick. We'll put GAIL, put them in the
- 1:52:18point guard spot for now. Washington in the twenty 20s
- 1:52:28Russell Westbrook, actually, where is he at?
- 1:52:32He's our OK. I'm going to move GAIL to my
- 1:52:34shooting guard. Russ is averaging a triple
- 1:52:37double, so we'll take that. 2211 and 11.
- 1:52:42He was hooping on on the Miami teams.
- 1:52:45We're going to reach for the air.
- 1:52:46This is hell of risky to like you get hosed by this, but we
- 1:52:48get LeBron James, which is exactly what we were hoping for.
- 1:52:55Come here, Mr. LeBron James. All right, I'm not hating this.
- 1:52:58This is team shaping up pretty good.
- 1:53:00We might have a shot here. We get Phoenix in the 60s again.
- 1:53:06We got two options like Jim Fox, I'm pretty sure is the guy.
- 1:53:12Oh man, we just got absolutely hosed on that final span.
- 1:53:17I think if we could have gotten a really good Sunny, we would
- 1:53:21have had a shot. We haven't even Crest seventy
- 1:53:23wins. This has been an absolutely
- 1:53:25brutal attempt at the 82. Another challenge today.
- 1:53:30You're going to. We have days like this, though.
- 1:53:33It just doesn't go your way. Milwaukee in the 70s before
- 1:53:37Kareem left. He's still there.
- 1:53:40There we go. That's great start Boston in the
- 1:53:462000s. Paul, Mr. Paul Pierce.
- 1:53:58That's small for I'm liking this start.
- 1:54:01Really good start. Can we keep it going?
- 1:54:03Cleveland of the 20 tens perfect.
- 1:54:07We can get Lebronathan on this squad.
- 1:54:14We'll have him play power for it right now.
- 1:54:21That's the beauty of him. We can move him around.
- 1:54:24We need Dame dollar sign. This is feeling really good.
- 1:54:28This could be the one. Let's finish strong here,
- 1:54:33Boston. So, all right, this is perfect
- 1:54:36because I'm going to move you. Actually, I'll leave you there.
- 1:54:39I'm going to move you to our shooting guard and we get Larry
- 1:54:45Legend. This is the best.
- 1:54:46This has to be it. Oh, you're kidding me.
- 1:54:52You're kidding me. Two losses, Joel.
- 1:54:57We were going so strong. All this whole run here after
- 1:55:03just getting, man, is it Paul? Is Paul the one dragging us
- 1:55:08down? There's just really nobody I
- 1:55:12guess I could try ray but or KG, but like Paul Pierce's, he's got
- 1:55:18the highest. I think he's averaging the most
- 1:55:20points per game. The 2000s are kind of rough to
- 1:55:23get man 80 and two. I really that felt good.
- 1:55:28I cannot believe that didn't we didn't get it there all right,
- 1:55:33we got a few more chances here. I'm going to re spin the air.
- 1:55:36I just don't want to take the Thunder again, but I think it's
- 1:55:43Ray Allen who's averaging the most in this.
- 1:55:49Gary Payton. That's Ray.
- 1:55:50And we're we're going to go Ray Allen.
- 1:55:53The start here. Not nearly as good of a start as
- 1:55:56we had last one. Dude, what is up with the
- 1:55:58Phoenix Suns? I don't want the Phoenix Suns.
- 1:56:05Eddie Johnson. Small Ford give get off of the
- 1:56:11Phoenix Suns. Oh, my God, The Thunder and the
- 1:56:17Suns. Dude, it's just back end.
- 1:56:22Go KD. Where is he at?
- 1:56:28Christ. Well, this is a terrible run,
- 1:56:30guys. We're just going to block you in
- 1:56:34the 80s. Oh, this is after Kareem's gone,
- 1:56:36isn't it? Yeah, we'll Reese with the team.
- 1:56:42Screw it. I don't like any.
- 1:56:44I don't really like that team. Oh, perfect.
- 1:56:46Well, oh, my God, dude, I can't even.
- 1:56:52I can't even get Michael Jordan. I can't even get Michael Jordan.
- 1:56:58Are you kidding me? The key only place.
- 1:57:03Oh my God, dude, this is awful. This is awful.
- 1:57:08Reggie Thies, welcome aboard big dog.
- 1:57:12Can we add that strong on the center Detroit in the 70s.
- 1:57:17I think we got Bob Lanier terrible just I mean we did the
- 1:57:24best with what we could work with that after going 80 and two
- 1:57:27to followed up with that terrible.
- 1:57:31This will likely be our final run.
- 1:57:33We'll see. We got Detroit of the 90s.
- 1:57:39You're here, man. This is we'll go Grant.
- 1:57:46I think it's I hope that's not like the Grant Hill.
- 1:57:50It's not averaging enough. New York in the 80s.
- 1:57:54I could get Ewing here. I think is I can't take Bernard
- 1:58:00King. OK.
- 1:58:04It's a little like this is after Walt Freezers time.
- 1:58:06That's right. All right.
- 1:58:08We're probably going to go with Patrick Ewing.
- 1:58:13Yeah, we'll just come with Patrick Ewing Center for now.
- 1:58:16We can move in the power for it. Potentially.
- 1:58:19Watch the twenty 20s. We'll take Russell Westbrook
- 1:58:24again. Why not?
- 1:58:29Why not Dallas of the 20 tens grab Luca, All right, we need
- 1:58:38the power forward here. I'm not feeling super optimistic
- 1:58:42about this. Oh my goodness, dude.
- 1:58:53I mean, I this I don't even know 70s kings.
- 1:59:01This is a tough one. I think it's I'm just guessing
- 1:59:10we're going Bill Turner here. I'm not OK now.
- 1:59:15It was not Bill Turner there. That wasn't terrible.
- 1:59:18I I've sold on that final. I probably should use recent.
- 1:59:21All right, we're going to speed three.
- 1:59:22Can we got time for one more. This is a run.
- 1:59:26OK, wow, way to fake me out and think I was freaking.
- 1:59:32What's his name? Michael Jordan.
- 1:59:34We'll take Walt Frazier spin again.
- 1:59:39Houston of the 80s. I'm going with Elvin Hayes here,
- 1:59:46hopefully. And so that might be the wrong
- 1:59:47Elvin Hayes. But Miami, the 80s, we spend the
- 1:59:51year 2010. Perfect LeBron.
- 2:00:03Final final two spins Manchester the 20 tens No, we're give me a
- 2:00:07new team. Give me a new team.
- 2:00:10So the Kevin Love actually we'll go cat final spin here before we
- 2:00:18get off the air. I'm going to city Sunday in the
- 2:00:2170s. That's terrible.
- 2:00:23Dennis Johnson, 57 and 20. Wow.
