- 0:00Speaker 1: Hi, Hi, Hi there, Hi. How are you doing? Oh good?
- 0:05Speaker 1: How are you just trying not to eat? Are you serious?
- 0:11Speaker 1: Just walking around my kitchen just thinking about all the
- 0:14Speaker 1: things I want to eat, but I'm not going to eat.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Why I'm trying to get skinny, dude. But you gotta
- 0:20Speaker 1: eat to get skinny, though, that's the thing, that's the no. No.
- 0:24Speaker 1: But I had a smoothie. I had a healthy smoothe
- 0:27Speaker 1: and I enjoyed that. And then it was like I
- 0:30Speaker 1: was like, all right, leave the fucking kitchen, don't eat.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Why are you right now? It's all relative everyone has
- 0:37Speaker 1: a gold on it. It's all relative to we're trying
- 0:39Speaker 1: to weigh under one hundred pounds? Is that your goal? No?
- 0:42Speaker 1: I'd like to just lose. I'd like to lose a
- 0:44Speaker 1: little of my melted candle around my love handles. Got
- 0:49Speaker 1: it feeling, yeah? Good luck. I used to have a
- 0:53Speaker 1: trainer named Jurgen Bill Lawrence still uses him, and yes,
- 0:56Speaker 1: and he used to he had all these catchphrases and
- 0:59Speaker 1: he'd go, h, I go, I'm so hungry, and he'd
- 1:02Speaker 1: grabbed my love handle and he'd go, tell your body
- 1:04Speaker 1: to eat this shit. That's buddy, did you lose weight
- 1:13Speaker 1: working out with Yer, Yeah I got I got in
- 1:16Speaker 1: grade shape with Yorgan. But his point was like, tell
- 1:18Speaker 1: your body to eat that fat instead of whatever nonsense
- 1:21Speaker 1: you're gonna eat. I don't know. It's hard. Everybody, what's
- 1:24Speaker 1: the best shape in your life? What's the best shape
- 1:27Speaker 1: you've ever been in? Um? A couple times, I don't know.
- 1:31Speaker 1: I mean, you know, I it's it's it's a lot
- 1:34Speaker 1: of work. It's so much work. I mean obviously the
- 1:38Speaker 1: older you get. I'm forty five years old, it's a
- 1:40Speaker 1: lot more work. And I never was that into fitness.
- 1:43Speaker 1: And I'm not trying to be like ripped, that's just two.
- 1:45Speaker 1: That's a job. These people we all see on Instagram
- 1:49Speaker 1: that were like, fuck, look at that body, Like that's
- 1:51Speaker 1: like their job, that's all they do. I don't want
- 1:54Speaker 1: that to be my job. I just would like to
- 1:57Speaker 1: be not like post holiday bod. I totally understand what
- 2:03Speaker 1: you mean. I've been ripped twice in my life, like
- 2:05Speaker 1: ripped where there was like zero body, not zero, but
- 2:08Speaker 1: like very little body fat on me. And that was
- 2:11Speaker 1: for remember the Titans. I got ripped for that. That
- 2:14Speaker 1: was my first time ever really working out too, like
- 2:17Speaker 1: I learned how to work out doing that movie. And
- 2:20Speaker 1: then when I did Kick Ass two, I got super
- 2:25Speaker 1: ripped for that, thinking it's I'm gonna get the chance
- 2:29Speaker 1: to show my muscles and stuff, and I didn't. I
- 2:31Speaker 1: had a suit on the whole time. But you want
- 2:33Speaker 1: to talk about being in shape, that's the best I've
- 2:35Speaker 1: ever been in shape in my life, I know. But
- 2:37Speaker 1: it's such a full time job. I just want to
- 2:39Speaker 1: I don't know, I just want to be thinned. And
- 2:41Speaker 1: but it's hard, man, and and and what they tell
- 2:44Speaker 1: you about the older you get, the harder it is, like,
- 2:46Speaker 1: you know, man, it's like you could train hard for
- 2:50Speaker 1: a month at forty five, and it's like there's like
- 2:53Speaker 1: incremental changes. Well it really doesn't. You were right. It
- 2:57Speaker 1: does depend on what you eat. And when you're younger,
- 3:00Speaker 1: doesn't you know, you can have a few cheap meals
- 3:03Speaker 1: here and there. But now at forty I'm forty six
- 3:06Speaker 1: years old. Now if I want to lose, if I
- 3:08Speaker 1: want to get ripped, I literally have to eat chicken,
- 3:12Speaker 1: broccoli and drink a shit ton of water all day
- 3:16Speaker 1: and lots of other finished you finish, don't eat late, like,
- 3:20Speaker 1: don't have any sugar. Don't have any booze, booze booze.
- 3:24Speaker 1: If you're a drinker and you want to lose weight,
- 3:26Speaker 1: I'm telling you the quickest thing, the quickest difference is
- 3:28Speaker 1: just cut out booze, right because it just falls off
- 3:31Speaker 1: your body. That's that is one thing that makes a
- 3:32Speaker 1: big difference. And supplements also, you know, putting the right
- 3:36Speaker 1: vitamins in your body because you're no longer getting the
- 3:38Speaker 1: right supplements because you've taken taken away so much nutrition
- 3:43Speaker 1: by dieting. I drink this shake that's like everything you're
- 3:48Speaker 1: exposed to have in a given day in one shake.
- 3:52Speaker 1: It's like everything from like probiotics to proteins to all
- 3:57Speaker 1: the vitamins. It's like everything. It's like a fucking your dream,
- 4:01Speaker 1: your body's dream meal in a chocolate shake. You know.
- 4:06Speaker 1: I drink the kimbucha. Whenever I get I do drink
- 4:08Speaker 1: GT's kombucha. Whenever I get like whenever I get like
- 4:13Speaker 1: a craving and I want something sweet or I want
- 4:16Speaker 1: something that's gonna you know, I drink that. Or if
- 4:19Speaker 1: I want to drink, you know, some booze or something
- 4:22Speaker 1: like that, I will drink GT's Kombucha. Um, that does help.
- 4:27Speaker 1: We're gonna have him on, right, Joel. Yeah, We're gonna
- 4:30Speaker 1: have the founder of GTS on because whenever we talk
- 4:32Speaker 1: about GTS it's kind of hard because we don't fully understand.
- 4:36Speaker 1: I mean, we understand what a probiotic is and we
- 4:38Speaker 1: love the taste of it. But this guy is a
- 4:41Speaker 1: really interesting guy, self made businessman, and he's gonna tell
- 4:46Speaker 1: us all more about it because I'd actually like to
- 4:48Speaker 1: learn more about why it a tastes so good and
- 4:52Speaker 1: be is supposedly so good for your body's health. Yeah,
- 4:56Speaker 1: I want to learn that. I want to learn how
- 4:58Speaker 1: he decided to turn something that a lot of Americans
- 5:01Speaker 1: were doing into a you know, multimillion dollar industry as
- 5:07Speaker 1: well too. We gotta ask him how rich he is. Also,
- 5:10Speaker 1: I dare you, I dare you, Ida, He's a really
- 5:14Speaker 1: fun character. I'm sure he'll answer. I want to ask
- 5:17Speaker 1: him what his thoughts are about people mixing booze in
- 5:20Speaker 1: with it, because I do know some people who mix
- 5:22Speaker 1: it with tequila or mix it with vodka. And he's
- 5:24Speaker 1: mister health nuts, so I wonder what his thoughts are
- 5:26Speaker 1: on like, what do you what do you think when
- 5:28Speaker 1: people say they they occasionally mix it in. I'm sure
- 5:33Speaker 1: he's up for it. Should we tell people what happened? No,
- 5:37Speaker 1: I want to go ahead. Well this is the premier
- 5:40Speaker 1: of season four. Yes, everybody, welcome to season four. Hello,
- 5:46Speaker 1: Hi everybody. Donald and I got in an argument on Friday,
- 5:50Speaker 1: and we're unable to record this episode. Now you're unable
- 5:53Speaker 1: to record? Yeah, that was good to go. Yes, Donald
- 5:56Speaker 1: was fine to drop it and move on, and I
- 5:58Speaker 1: was pissed and certainly not feel like pivoting and doing
- 6:01Speaker 1: a comedy podcast. You know, I do know where we
- 6:05Speaker 1: hung up. When we hung up, Joel was like, do
- 6:07Speaker 1: we still have a show? Is this? That's not what
- 6:10Speaker 1: I said? I like, Joel, I didn't think this is
- 6:13Speaker 1: how it ends. Yeah, you're crazy that this sounds like
- 6:16Speaker 1: a fight. Joel has horrible Internet at her place. Yeah,
- 6:23Speaker 1: I don't know what this new house is doing so far, Joel.
- 6:26Speaker 1: But I don't fault. It's not her fault. It's spectrum
- 6:30Speaker 1: as his spectrum is a freaking nightmare. Oh, Daniel, stop
- 6:34Speaker 1: jumping to the defense. She doesn't make my girl. I
- 6:38Speaker 1: always want a defender. She's a grown ass woman. She's
- 6:43Speaker 1: by the way. I love that Joel's she's still going
- 6:46Speaker 1: on in a monologue even though she's muted. Oh you
- 6:48Speaker 1: know what we got there? We got kitchen is nice, Joelle,
- 6:54Speaker 1: Thank you. It's so big we can actually all cook
- 6:57Speaker 1: the three of us in there at the same time.
- 6:58Speaker 1: And then are you gonna get a little sorry to
- 7:00Speaker 1: already weigh in on home decord, but get a little
- 7:02Speaker 1: really middle island thing like a chopping ball. Yeah, I
- 7:07Speaker 1: found the perfect one. It's got wine storage, yes in it.
- 7:10Speaker 1: It's so cute and cottage you were did you guys
- 7:15Speaker 1: buy or you renting? We are renting smart Smart Smart.
- 7:20Speaker 1: We are not in a space to purchase yet. Yeah,
- 7:24Speaker 1: let's let's let's talk about that, because you know, homes
- 7:26Speaker 1: are just you know, we talk about how the economy
- 7:29Speaker 1: is failing and everything like that, but Holmes seem to
- 7:31Speaker 1: be going up and up and up and up and up.
- 7:33Speaker 1: That hasn't gone down yet, but the rent has tanked
- 7:37Speaker 1: and that's really moved into this giant space. Yes, we're
- 7:42Speaker 1: looking to move and we can't. We can't find anything
- 7:45Speaker 1: that we like for they need like an eleven bedroom house. Yeah,
- 7:48Speaker 1: we don't need a lot of I do have a
- 7:50Speaker 1: lot of kids, um, wait a second. So Donald and
- 7:52Speaker 1: I got in an argument and I was it was fine,
- 7:56Speaker 1: it wasn't that big a deal, but I was pissed off,
- 8:00Speaker 1: and whereas Johnald was like, all right, well, let's go
- 8:02Speaker 1: just do a show, and I was like, I'm not
- 8:05Speaker 1: in the mood to like try and be funny right now.
- 8:09Speaker 1: And I do have to say I once took a
- 8:11Speaker 1: self help course and one thing I remembered was they said,
- 8:16Speaker 1: one of the most powerful skills you can develop as
- 8:19Speaker 1: a human being is the ability to drop it and
- 8:21Speaker 1: get over it and move on. Well, we took the
- 8:24Speaker 1: same course. That's why I know, but I was unable.
- 8:26Speaker 1: But I was unable to drop it. I tried to
- 8:29Speaker 1: use my skills, but they didn't work. And I when
- 8:32Speaker 1: I would later after I had cooled down and was
- 8:34Speaker 1: whatever it was, fucking whatever it was, I was calling
- 8:38Speaker 1: myself out by like, you know, you didn't really nail
- 8:42Speaker 1: that thing you got from the class about being able
- 8:45Speaker 1: to drop it, drop an argument and move on. So
- 8:48Speaker 1: that's the most I mean, it's it's nothing. Obviously it's nothing,
- 8:52Speaker 1: but that was one of the most important things I
- 8:54Speaker 1: got from that where it was like, look, your temper
- 8:57Speaker 1: can get to the level of bow. But if you're
- 9:02Speaker 1: able to say that was just the that was that moment,
- 9:06Speaker 1: I can drop it. Let's go forward. Now. Are you
- 9:09Speaker 1: able to do that with your wife? No? I have
- 9:10Speaker 1: a hard time with my boy. I imagine it's very
- 9:12Speaker 1: hard in relationships because but I mean, that's where the
- 9:15Speaker 1: mastery of it really comes in. Um. You know, if
- 9:18Speaker 1: you can have a heated argument like all couples do,
- 9:22Speaker 1: and then kind of get to someplace of a completion
- 9:26Speaker 1: and then go okay, clean slight new chapter. I mean,
- 9:30Speaker 1: that's pretty that's pretty awesome to be able to do that.
- 9:32Speaker 1: I can. I can do it sometimes, but certainly not
- 9:34Speaker 1: all the time. I can do it sometimes. That was
- 9:36Speaker 1: the first time in a long time that I was like,
- 9:38Speaker 1: I can do it right now. You wanted me to
- 9:40Speaker 1: try and be funny, and I wanted to strangle you anyway.
- 9:43Speaker 1: By the way, I have the whole I was laughing
- 9:45Speaker 1: to myself, going, we should do a rewatch podcast of
- 9:48Speaker 1: our fight because I have the whole thing of recording.
- 9:50Speaker 1: So do I. I haven't listened to it. I haven't
- 9:53Speaker 1: listened to it. Not what do you think I sat
- 9:55Speaker 1: and listened to it back I just, I just, I
- 9:57Speaker 1: just I was laughing, going we should do a rewatch
- 9:59Speaker 1: podcast of our argument and Daniel could like stop and
- 10:02Speaker 1: start it and we could be like, see that was
- 10:03Speaker 1: a good point recap. Like all I remember was Daniel's
- 10:13Speaker 1: face was like his eyes were so big the whole time.
- 10:16Speaker 1: He was like, what the fuck is my parents are fighting?
- 10:22Speaker 1: Oh my god. Well, fans, let us know if you
- 10:24Speaker 1: want us to do a rewatch podcast of our argument. No, no, no, no,
- 10:26Speaker 1: I don't need to hear that shit. It's about ten
- 10:28Speaker 1: minutes long. And we have it all on tape. And
- 10:33Speaker 1: you guys, because you're the best fans and listeners in
- 10:36Speaker 1: the world. Um, it's season four and we have Heather Graham,
- 10:39Speaker 1: the Heather Graham in the house. Before we get gone,
- 10:42Speaker 1: we should probably five six about show we made about nurses.
- 10:53Speaker 1: He got stories sound. Yeah, what are you going to
- 11:08Speaker 1: bring to season four? That's that's unique and fresh and different, Donald,
- 11:12Speaker 1: because listen, we're running out of seasons everywhere having too
- 11:15Speaker 1: much fun. Although I'm going back to work, that's gonna
- 11:19Speaker 1: be all be tricky. But listen, I go back to
- 11:21Speaker 1: work too, man, this is gonna be very different. I
- 11:23Speaker 1: know we're gonna have to get clever. We'll talk about that.
- 11:26Speaker 1: I got it, I gotta I gotta tell you, man,
- 11:30Speaker 1: I'm a little nervous about Are you traveling for your movie? No,
- 11:34Speaker 1: it's it's it's here, Thank goodness. Man, I gotta tell you,
- 11:37Speaker 1: I'm worried about traveling for projects and stuff like that.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Where's your next project located? Well, the project I'm doing
- 11:44Speaker 1: now is still in Los Angeles, but there's a possibility
- 11:47Speaker 1: that something could happen in the at L and I'm
- 11:53Speaker 1: nervous about that because the atl has different rules than law,
- 12:00Speaker 1: so Angeles has What are you giggling about over there too? Well,
- 12:02Speaker 1: you can. I have a lot of cousins in the ATL.
- 12:04Speaker 1: I have a group chat that's mostly based in that area.
- 12:07Speaker 1: And so, uh, there's still apprehension is warranted. What about
- 12:14Speaker 1: LA opening back up even though it's fucking a crisis.
- 12:19Speaker 1: But the numbers are going down, so I can see
- 12:21Speaker 1: where he's where they're coming from. This guy did a
- 12:23Speaker 1: funny video. I retweeted. You can find it on my
- 12:25Speaker 1: Twitter where he was. It was really funny. He just rifted.
- 12:28Speaker 1: It was like, so basically LA is like go out,
- 12:31Speaker 1: but don't. But if you want to go out, you can,
- 12:33Speaker 1: but the restaurants are gonna be open, but don't go
- 12:34Speaker 1: because it's not safe. But if you do, go to restaurants,
- 12:37Speaker 1: but if you don't, sit outside. But if you do,
- 12:39Speaker 1: you're home. But do you know, I'm fucking rifting a
- 12:42Speaker 1: horrible version of it. But it was really funny. At
- 12:43Speaker 1: zero percent capacity in our hospitals no sense. Yes, I
- 12:49Speaker 1: thought we were at twelve percent. Now we're still at
- 12:52Speaker 1: zero percent. The big, big snowball makes no sense to
- 12:56Speaker 1: open up. But I guess, people, why do you know,
- 12:58Speaker 1: why are they opening up? I mean, obviously business is needed,
- 13:00Speaker 1: but I mean why profits over people? Baby? No, But
- 13:05Speaker 1: the state of California as a whole is uh, the
- 13:09Speaker 1: numbers have gotten better as a whole of the state
- 13:12Speaker 1: in the state. Why is Los Angeles opening up? I
- 13:15Speaker 1: have no idea why. I've gotten all these emails from
- 13:17Speaker 1: restaurants that I'm that I go to like yeah, we're
- 13:20Speaker 1: back open. I'm like yeah, I'm just it just it's
- 13:23Speaker 1: really scary right about now, Like there's new strands coming out.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Apparently the vaccine is holding steady and will combat against
- 13:31Speaker 1: these new strands, but some of them are more contagious
- 13:36Speaker 1: and deadlier, you know, and the world still moving. I
- 13:41Speaker 1: get it. I need to, you know, sack up and
- 13:44Speaker 1: get out and make things happen. I got to pay
- 13:46Speaker 1: my bills, just like everybody else does. But this ship
- 13:49Speaker 1: is scary, Zach. This ain't no, this isn't I'm scared.
- 13:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna go outside and I'm gonna see the bully.
- 13:55Speaker 1: This is I'm scared. I'm gonna go outside and there's
- 13:57Speaker 1: a possibility. Not only do I gotta worry about violence,
- 14:01Speaker 1: Not only do I gotta worry about you know, uh,
- 14:05Speaker 1: that unknown element out that evil element out there, that's
- 14:09Speaker 1: that's that's gunning to kill me. Now, I gotta worry
- 14:12Speaker 1: about a virus like people were talking about how it's
- 14:15Speaker 1: like the flu. I don't know nobody to die. I
- 14:17Speaker 1: don't know anyone to die from the flu. I don't
- 14:19Speaker 1: know one person that died from the flu. Not one.
- 14:22Speaker 1: I'm trying to think. I'm sure there are people out
- 14:25Speaker 1: there that do, but I don't know one person. I
- 14:27Speaker 1: know a few people that have died from COVID nineteen.
- 14:31Speaker 1: It's scary, man, it's legit. You're You're right to be scared.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Um all you can do is be as safe as
- 14:36Speaker 1: you can. I don't. I barely leave my house these
- 14:39Speaker 1: days because I just I think it's it's not safe,
- 14:41Speaker 1: It's not worth it. What am I going to do?
- 14:42Speaker 1: The car wash is just not worth it. I think
- 14:45Speaker 1: the one thing that could be said about this entire
- 14:46Speaker 1: thing is that this is a failure of policy on
- 14:50Speaker 1: our government across the board. I don't care where you are.
- 14:53Speaker 1: You look at every other country in the world, and
- 14:56Speaker 1: the and the empathy that the people had for each
- 14:59Speaker 1: other and the epathy that the government had for its
- 15:01Speaker 1: people allowed them to progress and move forward. And in
- 15:05Speaker 1: this country, it is that lack of empathy for the
- 15:08Speaker 1: people themselves and this need for profit, this need to
- 15:12Speaker 1: keep everything going, that has gotten us to where we
- 15:15Speaker 1: are now. We do need to keep everything going, we
- 15:18Speaker 1: need to start our life over again, but we just
- 15:20Speaker 1: did not take the steps to earn that. And so
- 15:23Speaker 1: you feel like California, which is supposed to be like
- 15:25Speaker 1: the example of of well, I don't know if it's
- 15:29Speaker 1: supposed to be the example, but it is like the
- 15:31Speaker 1: most liberal state, right, I mean, maybe except for Washington
- 15:34Speaker 1: or I don't know, sure are one populated, we're the
- 15:37Speaker 1: most populous, right, Dan, Yeah, I think so. Yeah. I
- 15:40Speaker 1: mean California is the ninth biggest economy in the world. Yeah,
- 15:44Speaker 1: And I just think it's embarrassing how poorly it's been
- 15:47Speaker 1: handled here where we like to think that things run better.
- 15:51Speaker 1: But didn't we have it on track? Weren't we on
- 15:53Speaker 1: track for a good portion of the Like I remember,
- 15:58Speaker 1: at one point in time, we were the model, we
- 16:00Speaker 1: were the we were the the Yeah. In April we
- 16:04Speaker 1: were right the curves started going like this, and we
- 16:07Speaker 1: saw the curves starting to go down, and people were like, great,
- 16:11Speaker 1: open to clubs, and then it went straight back up. Right, people,
- 16:15Speaker 1: people had to go see uh um, what's his name? Bow? Wow?
- 16:18Speaker 1: You had to go see a little bow Wow. Listen,
- 16:20Speaker 1: let's switch to a positive topic, like Heather fucking Graham.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Who's here? Hanger inn hotness, holy funny, And I gotta say,
- 16:30Speaker 1: what bullshit that j D would ever get Heather Graham.
- 16:33Speaker 1: But let's bring her in. Let's bring her in. I
- 16:35Speaker 1: wonder if she looks like Heather Graham. Oh, look at
- 16:39Speaker 1: her apart there. I gotta start recording myself, right, what's happening?
- 16:50Speaker 1: High beautiful? Oh my god, so good to see you. Hello.
- 16:55Speaker 1: I just I just said the sentence that had to
- 16:57Speaker 1: start things off, that there's no fucking way j D
- 17:00Speaker 1: he could have ever gotten Molly clock. Oh come on, look,
- 17:04Speaker 1: we know the real love stories between you guys. Okay
- 17:09Speaker 1: is between you two, of course. But Heather, I just
- 17:12Speaker 1: want to say that. You know, Donald and I've been
- 17:14Speaker 1: doing this. We haven't watched the show in twenty almost
- 17:17Speaker 1: twenty years, and every we're having all these fun times
- 17:20Speaker 1: rewatching it and laughing at things, and I just got
- 17:23Speaker 1: to say, right off the bat, you are so fucking
- 17:25Speaker 1: funny on the show. Let's work I want to do
- 17:28Speaker 1: now that watching I'm like, oh my god, I want
- 17:30Speaker 1: to work on it again. You know, it looks so
- 17:34Speaker 1: fun I don't know if I've truly appreciated how great
- 17:37Speaker 1: it was at the moment. Like Bill Lawrence is pretty genius.
- 17:40Speaker 1: He is, and I think he gave you a really
- 17:41Speaker 1: hard character to play. And I didn't realize that, say
- 17:45Speaker 1: he is so smart, because that is actually a lot
- 17:47Speaker 1: like what my personality really is. I remember how he
- 17:49Speaker 1: described it to me. He's like, she's um because I'm
- 17:52Speaker 1: super into psychology, right, so she's really perceptive and smart,
- 17:56Speaker 1: but she comes off kind of spacey, and you know,
- 17:58Speaker 1: she's really sweet, but she has like some bad romantic instincts. Yeah,
- 18:03Speaker 1: I'm like that. It's kind of looking back, I'm like,
- 18:06Speaker 1: that's a pretty perceptive reader, like Bill Regie, like Bill Readie,
- 18:13Speaker 1: like a tarot card. But I was I was watching
- 18:15Speaker 1: it going, you're playing so many things at once. You're
- 18:18Speaker 1: playing she's a doctor. She's obviously charming, but she's kind
- 18:22Speaker 1: of kooky. She talks to herself, she holds people's faces,
- 18:25Speaker 1: she sits alone, she's looking for friendship. I mean, she's
- 18:28Speaker 1: she's like, you're playing like ten different things. You're juggling
- 18:31Speaker 1: all these balls, and I really I'm not just blowing smoke.
- 18:33Speaker 1: I thought you were very very funny in this funny,
- 18:37Speaker 1: very charming, very very charming too. Well. Look, I think
- 18:40Speaker 1: it's a mixture of the fact that I'm great and
- 18:42Speaker 1: also that Bell is a good writer, Like he wrote
- 18:46Speaker 1: a smart character, Like you can't play a complicated character
- 18:48Speaker 1: like that unless someone writes it for you. So he
- 18:51Speaker 1: gave me a great shot in writing that character. Now,
- 18:53Speaker 1: how did it come about hither? Because obviously we knew you.
- 18:56Speaker 1: I remember us being told you we're gonna do the show.
- 18:58Speaker 1: And we were like, oh my god, how the Graham's
- 18:59Speaker 1: gonna to our show? And I was like, oh my god,
- 19:02Speaker 1: Heather Graham might be one of my love inters. And
- 19:04Speaker 1: so how did it? Did Bill just reach out to
- 19:06Speaker 1: your agents? How did it come about? Yeah? I think
- 19:09Speaker 1: he reached out to my agents, and of course you
- 19:11Speaker 1: guys are all fabulous. So I was so flattered and
- 19:13Speaker 1: I was really excited to be on the show. I mean,
- 19:17Speaker 1: watching it, it really holds up like it's really a
- 19:19Speaker 1: good show, Like I really want to be on it more.
- 19:22Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, I want to I want Molly Molly
- 19:24Speaker 1: to have some more and more plotlines. I was so
- 19:26Speaker 1: happy when you texted me. I was texting Heather and
- 19:29Speaker 1: she goes, I want to do more episodes of this.
- 19:32Speaker 1: That would be great. You think, all go back and
- 19:36Speaker 1: do this show all over again, just for a season.
- 19:40Speaker 1: I know everybody who ever was on the show for
- 19:44Speaker 1: more than like eight episodes, and get them back and
- 19:47Speaker 1: then let's just recreate one last season of Scrubs with it.
- 19:52Speaker 1: It would be fun. But the thing is is that,
- 19:54Speaker 1: I mean, we always get asked this to do this,
- 19:56Speaker 1: but you'd need Bill to do it. Obviously, Bill do it.
- 20:00Speaker 1: I can do it. He just has a time management
- 20:01Speaker 1: problem because he has he has you know, my friend's
- 20:05Speaker 1: working on a show right now, my friend Jamie Lee.
- 20:08Speaker 1: I think she sent you her script, Yeah, which one?
- 20:11Speaker 1: Oh and ted Lasso. Oh yes, I did read her script.
- 20:14Speaker 1: It's great. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's really she's one of
- 20:16Speaker 1: the writers on ted Lasso. Yeah yeah, yeah. Yeah. So
- 20:19Speaker 1: Bill has so much going on, and but I think
- 20:22Speaker 1: you'd obviously need him to be involved, you need him
- 20:24Speaker 1: to focus, And I just don't know that right now
- 20:26Speaker 1: that that's that's possible because he's gotten so many things
- 20:28Speaker 1: on his plate. Then yeah, I mean time has had
- 20:32Speaker 1: time has to be right because everybody's everybody's just you know.
- 20:36Speaker 1: But it's such a good show. It really holds up,
- 20:39Speaker 1: like you know how some things you think they're great
- 20:40Speaker 1: and then you watch him later and you're like that's
- 20:42Speaker 1: not that good, you know, But Scrubs is really good,
- 20:44Speaker 1: like later, like years later. It's it's really smart. It's
- 20:48Speaker 1: really good. Heather, you guys are great. I get made
- 20:51Speaker 1: fun of on this podcast because I always talk too much,
- 20:54Speaker 1: apparently about my favorite episode, which is the one I
- 20:57Speaker 1: first one I directed, which The whole point of the
- 21:00Speaker 1: episode is the downline going to quest the permissions, sweet
- 21:06Speaker 1: permissions lived from Elliott that we're allowed to have sex.
- 21:09Speaker 1: And I just think, um, that episode was so special. No,
- 21:13Speaker 1: that was so fun. I mean, obviously you're such a
- 21:16Speaker 1: fabulous director. I mean it was so fun to work
- 21:18Speaker 1: with you. I mean, come on, You're like, we don't
- 21:21Speaker 1: need to rush through this second. But you're being so modest,
- 21:24Speaker 1: not like you're dating some like hot starlet right now, Like, oh,
- 21:28Speaker 1: you know I am, but I'm very flattered that you'd
- 21:31Speaker 1: want you'd want to date me in scrubs. I listen,
- 21:35Speaker 1: the joke of is continues that the TV guys get
- 21:39Speaker 1: way hotter girls than they deserve and JD getting Molly
- 21:42Speaker 1: clock is. But you know what's funny is that, like,
- 21:45Speaker 1: you know, when you look at yourself, you don't really
- 21:47Speaker 1: think like, oh I'm attractive, but like looking at the show,
- 21:50Speaker 1: I'm like, wow, I was much prettier than I thought.
- 21:52Speaker 1: I mean it's like, do you want to look at yourself?
- 21:54Speaker 1: I'm sorry, Like, Donald, you, how did you go? I
- 22:02Speaker 1: just want to. I just want to because I don't
- 22:04Speaker 1: know how this is possible. You're saying that when you
- 22:07Speaker 1: look in the mirror, you sometimes say I'm not attractive. Well, no,
- 22:12Speaker 1: I think it's like anyone on his planet could look
- 22:20Speaker 1: at Heather Gram that's nice. Others like, well, no, no,
- 22:25Speaker 1: I mean, come on, but I feel like a troll
- 22:28Speaker 1: right now. I'm just like in the pandemic sitting in
- 22:30Speaker 1: my apartment, like I can't go out troll any person. No, no, no,
- 22:36Speaker 1: But isn't everyone insecure? Like I think I looked at
- 22:39Speaker 1: the episode, I was like, wow, like I think I
- 22:41Speaker 1: was insecure. I you know, you don't think I don't know,
- 22:44Speaker 1: did I mean? Did you guys think wow, I'm just
- 22:46Speaker 1: like so gorgeous and like all the ladies. Honey. I
- 22:49Speaker 1: never think that though. But my record, however, is you
- 22:54Speaker 1: know I got Casey Cobb and that's it, and I'm happy,
- 22:57Speaker 1: you know, Donald and I don't really look you to
- 22:59Speaker 1: oursel and think we ever really, I mean, you guys
- 23:01Speaker 1: are like right, I'm sure. I occasionally will see a
- 23:07Speaker 1: picture of me that I think is good and I'm like, oh,
- 23:10Speaker 1: a picture of me, I like, I look, I look,
- 23:13Speaker 1: my nose is at a decent angle there. I like
- 23:15Speaker 1: you you were doing some chess nudity in these episodes.
- 23:18Speaker 1: I was in decent shape. Well, this was clearly coming
- 23:21Speaker 1: back from a hiatus season. You look pretty fit. Yeah,
- 23:26Speaker 1: I must have been in somewhat ship. Yeah, because season
- 23:28Speaker 1: three when you came back, you weren't as I know.
- 23:30Speaker 1: I was Doughey, I was something was up. But I
- 23:33Speaker 1: really like my hair in this too. I thought, my god, good,
- 23:36Speaker 1: I thought Sarah's new hair looked good. We're done with
- 23:38Speaker 1: the No, she's great. I love Sarah on the podcast.
- 23:42Speaker 1: I gotta go back and listen. We had her on
- 23:43Speaker 1: a bunch. We're gonna have her on maybe next episode.
- 23:47Speaker 1: But let's go through so I had. The way this
- 23:49Speaker 1: works is Donald will first do a summary of the episode,
- 23:53Speaker 1: and he does it in roughly thirty to forty seconds, right, Donald,
- 23:57Speaker 1: something like that in that in that range, and then
- 24:00Speaker 1: we'll discuss the episode after. So I get my time
- 24:02Speaker 1: around Heather because I like to time Donald how fast
- 24:05Speaker 1: he can do it? Wait, wait, Zach, where are you?
- 24:08Speaker 1: I'm in Los Angeles? Okay, cool, looking at your window.
- 24:11Speaker 1: I don't know why. It looks like it was like
- 24:12Speaker 1: snowing or something. No, no, no, it's sunny, although normally cold.
- 24:17Speaker 1: All right, Donald, are you ready I believe I am.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Please impress Heather because you know she vip guests. All
- 24:25Speaker 1: right on your marks, gets set go. Season four starts
- 24:29Speaker 1: off with a bang. We gotta have the Graham, y'all.
- 24:33Speaker 1: The gang's all grown up. There'll be doctors in one week.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Jad's excited, Elliott feels left out. Carlin Turk are really
- 24:41Speaker 1: feeling the pressure of their new nuptials, and Cox has
- 24:44Speaker 1: seen it all before. Responsibility. I'm not a fan of
- 24:48Speaker 1: the word, but I understand its importance. When we're young,
- 24:52Speaker 1: we can't wait to have it, but once we get it,
- 24:55Speaker 1: we are often overwhelmed. I am the hairy irresp bonsible,
- 25:00Speaker 1: but thank goodness for Casey Cobb. Yeah. Amen, Wow, that
- 25:05Speaker 1: was a good wrap up. Wrap it up. You stuck
- 25:08Speaker 1: the landing with a testament to your wife. You know
- 25:11Speaker 1: you always gotta when when when talking about your flaws,
- 25:14Speaker 1: you talk about what makes it so your flaws are
- 25:17Speaker 1: acceptable to the world. And I am lucky because I
- 25:20Speaker 1: have Casey Cobb who takes my flaws and says it's
- 25:24Speaker 1: his flaws. Love him for it. Oh that's so great.
- 25:27Speaker 1: You're so lucky to have a woman like that. I do,
- 25:29Speaker 1: I gotta I got I got the best hype man
- 25:31Speaker 1: like you knows me bleak, I got freaking Casey. He's
- 25:36Speaker 1: your Farnsworth Bentley. No, no, no, no no, that's that's
- 25:39Speaker 1: like your that's like your assistant. Was it fun riding
- 25:43Speaker 1: on those scooters? It looked fun. That wasn't us, by
- 25:46Speaker 1: the way, how did they do that? How did they
- 25:48Speaker 1: do because that look like us? By the way, I
- 25:50Speaker 1: gotta say, it's funny you bring that up because I
- 25:53Speaker 1: am a tech film geek. I liked to zoom in
- 25:56Speaker 1: and figure out how shit was done, and I miss
- 25:59Speaker 1: The only thing I can assume on that scooter gag
- 26:02Speaker 1: is that the stuntmen are slightly out of focus and
- 26:04Speaker 1: they look enough like us that you can't tell. But
- 26:07Speaker 1: we're making my face, they're making our faces and everything.
- 26:10Speaker 1: But it's not green screen, and it's certainly not us
- 26:13Speaker 1: doing scooter tricks. So I don't know what the fuck
- 26:15Speaker 1: would they did. This is an ask Bill question Season
- 26:18Speaker 1: four asks. I don't know if Bill will know. It
- 26:19Speaker 1: might be an ask Randall question? Can we get Randall? Okay,
- 26:22Speaker 1: let's ask Oh yeah, we have the power. Okay. This
- 26:24Speaker 1: is our first edition of Ask Randall. You gotta put
- 26:28Speaker 1: some fancy music here, Yes, and maybe it needs to
- 26:31Speaker 1: be like village people herd. Wait, your dog is so cute?
- 26:37Speaker 1: What kind of is that your new dogs? Yes, that
- 26:40Speaker 1: is my dog who's one year old. Her name is Billy,
- 26:42Speaker 1: and she's a rescue and she's my favorite creature. But wait,
- 26:47Speaker 1: I wanted to say so, Randall. So how the We're
- 26:49Speaker 1: gonna ask Randall a question? He won't answer it live here, obviously,
- 26:52Speaker 1: but we'll put in the answer. Randall, how did we
- 26:56Speaker 1: do that scooter gag? Because it's so uh, it looks
- 27:01Speaker 1: so good. I know that Donald and I obviously weren't
- 27:03Speaker 1: doing tricks like that, and it's not Green Scream, but
- 27:07Speaker 1: it kind of looks like us. My only thought is
- 27:09Speaker 1: that the stuntmen are enough out of focus that you
- 27:12Speaker 1: can't tell that they're stuntmen. I don't know, but it's
- 27:16Speaker 1: it's duped. It's it's it's it's what's the word? It's
- 27:18Speaker 1: not duped? To me? What is the expression? It's I
- 27:22Speaker 1: was duped. I've been duped. I've been tricked. I've been fooled.
- 27:26Speaker 1: How did you do it? Randall? How did we do it?
- 27:28Speaker 1: As a team? The scooter thing from episode one. Season four.
- 27:33Speaker 1: It's really funny, it's great. What I guess what you
- 27:37Speaker 1: need to know is it was season four, so that
- 27:39Speaker 1: deep into a show. We had regular stunt people who
- 27:43Speaker 1: always doubled for Zach and Donald and as much fun
- 27:47Speaker 1: as we were having. And when you have people around
- 27:48Speaker 1: like that, they get to know the actors and they're
- 27:50Speaker 1: they're fans of the show, so they know the mannerisms
- 27:53Speaker 1: and the faces. And then we put um Judy scooter
- 27:57Speaker 1: on our rig so she held steady. Well, they did
- 28:01Speaker 1: their well, they did their thing, and obviously as a fan,
- 28:05Speaker 1: you know that scooter gags became a big part of
- 28:09Speaker 1: the show. So that's it, but definitely fun and memorable.
- 28:16Speaker 1: If I did do it, I don't remember. How about that.
- 28:19Speaker 1: We didn't do it, dude. They're doing they're doing like
- 28:21Speaker 1: serious tricks and they're they're like spinning around on the bike.
- 28:25Speaker 1: But the one where he's riding the scooter and his
- 28:27Speaker 1: feet are on the ground and he's sliding right, I
- 28:31Speaker 1: don't know how they did it. Thank you, Randall, Thank
- 28:34Speaker 1: you Randall. All right, we need to take a break,
- 28:36Speaker 1: you all ye all right, we'll be right back after
- 28:38Speaker 1: these fine words with the Heather Graham. You guys, the
- 28:41Speaker 1: Heather Graham. All right, Heather, so you get your big entrance.
- 28:55Speaker 1: Anytime there's a leading lady entrance onto Scrubs, they always
- 28:59Speaker 1: have of their beautiful blowing entrance. Uh, we always. I
- 29:04Speaker 1: feel like you, more than any character in the nine
- 29:06Speaker 1: years of Scrubs, had the most slow motion fan. Really. Oh,
- 29:11Speaker 1: I'm so flattered. I mean it is cool, like as
- 29:13Speaker 1: a woman to get like some fans on you and
- 29:16Speaker 1: like a slow motion entrance. I did feel like, I'm
- 29:19Speaker 1: grateful and you don't discriminate. It's not just a fan
- 29:23Speaker 1: entrance for the women. Scott body got a lovely fan. Wow,
- 29:27Speaker 1: that's cool. Yeah, that's cool. And in yours we reveal
- 29:30Speaker 1: that the janitor is holding a fan on you. That's true, right,
- 29:34Speaker 1: because he's drying wet. You're because somebody you're urinated on
- 29:37Speaker 1: the floor. Yeah, was there a urine problem? It's well,
- 29:44Speaker 1: do you know what I noticed? I don't know. Did
- 29:45Speaker 1: you guys notice this? From watching? I recognize that I
- 29:47Speaker 1: got to keep a lot of my clothes, and I
- 29:50Speaker 1: was recognizing my clothes. I'm like, oh, that's where I
- 29:52Speaker 1: got those shirts and skirts. Welcome to Welcome to Scrubs.
- 29:56Speaker 1: We all we all took what we needed. Yeah. I
- 30:00Speaker 1: the sequence of us missing each other and being reunited
- 30:04Speaker 1: is so funny. When Donald's back from his honeymoon, I
- 30:07Speaker 1: think it's like you really feel the love you guys
- 30:10Speaker 1: have for each other, which I think is in real
- 30:11Speaker 1: in life and on the show you can feel that love.
- 30:15Speaker 1: What really caught me off guard, though, was when they
- 30:17Speaker 1: were right next to each other. What was their plan?
- 30:21Speaker 1: Why they had so much trouble? Meaning up right, we'll
- 30:24Speaker 1: call that from here on out, we'll call this roof a. Yeah,
- 30:29Speaker 1: this happened. It's just over and over again, t J.
- 30:34Speaker 1: And then they run past each other in the hallway. Yeah,
- 30:38Speaker 1: it's like so so broad And then iunt you that
- 30:42Speaker 1: is the first mount backwards eagle Scrub's history, the reverse eagle.
- 30:48Speaker 1: What the reverse I remember us coming up with that
- 30:50Speaker 1: on the day and being like this is so stupid,
- 30:53Speaker 1: But we were fucking laughing so hard. We were so
- 30:56Speaker 1: kitty about it, like we literally Well, the funny thing
- 30:59Speaker 1: is we had been in separated for the hiatus, so
- 31:02Speaker 1: we really were like we really were feeling like that,
- 31:05Speaker 1: Like I really I didn't understand why did Turk and
- 31:12Speaker 1: Carl decide to immediately leave from the plane go to
- 31:17Speaker 1: the hospital, like from the from their airport. Well, maybe
- 31:21Speaker 1: they timed it out so they had a shift they
- 31:23Speaker 1: had to get back to just in time. They maximize
- 31:25Speaker 1: them just the dumbest maneuvered by them. It also might
- 31:29Speaker 1: be a TV show where it's better for them to
- 31:31Speaker 1: arrive it. I'm gonna go with the ladder, I'm gonna go.
- 31:33Speaker 1: How about the sugar Hill Gang alarm clock? That's that
- 31:36Speaker 1: was cool. That was very cool. I am a fan
- 31:39Speaker 1: of the sugar Hill Gang. That was one of the
- 31:41Speaker 1: that That is the second rap that I ever learned.
- 31:44Speaker 1: The first one was because these all the breaks, break
- 31:48Speaker 1: it up, break it up, break it up, or you
- 31:51Speaker 1: could do break it up, break it up, break it up,
- 31:53Speaker 1: break down. What's that Curtis blow baby? Do the sugar
- 31:58Speaker 1: Does the sugar Hill Gang have other songs um that
- 32:00Speaker 1: are popular besides this one? Hop hippity hop to the
- 32:05Speaker 1: hipp You don't that's just I mean, it's the hip
- 32:07Speaker 1: hop anthem though, Like that's one of the that's did
- 32:10Speaker 1: you guys get to meet them? You guys get to
- 32:12Speaker 1: hang out with them? They did the scene where I'm
- 32:14Speaker 1: where they're in the Mini Cooper and they're rapping and
- 32:19Speaker 1: I got to dance spinning. What was it like, Donald,
- 32:25Speaker 1: because you know you you had liked them, I remember,
- 32:27Speaker 1: I mean I knew the song, but I wasn't a
- 32:29Speaker 1: huge fan of them. But I must have been fun
- 32:31Speaker 1: for you to meet them. It was a lot of
- 32:33Speaker 1: fun for me to meet them. That's royalty, you know
- 32:34Speaker 1: what I mean. That was they're like the some of
- 32:38Speaker 1: the they're like the originators of hip hop. You know,
- 32:41Speaker 1: if you just listen to the sound and the way
- 32:43Speaker 1: and the way it comes up, and there was you know,
- 32:46Speaker 1: it was one of the longest songs ever too back
- 32:48Speaker 1: in the day, so you could rock out to it,
- 32:50Speaker 1: and and the beat was five boom boom boom boom
- 32:55Speaker 1: boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom. That
- 32:58Speaker 1: shit is fun. There was I noticed in the alarm
- 33:01Speaker 1: clock moment they're both everyone gets a chance to wrap
- 33:03Speaker 1: exempt one guy, and so he was just kind of
- 33:05Speaker 1: there like bob in his head, excuse the bebop. Guess what, America,
- 33:11Speaker 1: we love you give another guy a chance to rap guys. Um,
- 33:16Speaker 1: I laughed out loud um when I hit snooze and
- 33:20Speaker 1: the Sugar Hill Gang falls asleep. That was clever. Now
- 33:29Speaker 1: Carlo's chairs another funny thing. So Carla has moved into
- 33:32Speaker 1: the apartment and she's brought with her these those chairs
- 33:36Speaker 1: that you kind of just kneel on and uh and
- 33:39Speaker 1: I laughed out loud when I I fall over, and
- 33:41Speaker 1: I'm like, it's like a bear trap. Did you were
- 33:44Speaker 1: you really connected to the trair? Or was I really
- 33:46Speaker 1: went over in that thing? Really? That's a lot of pain, dude.
- 33:52Speaker 1: I went onto a thin matt and it was fine. Okay,
- 33:55Speaker 1: it was definitely didn't hurt as much as other things
- 33:57Speaker 1: I've done for for America to laugh fat. Do you
- 34:00Speaker 1: remember Rice Dream? Rice Dream was right? Yes, yes, I
- 34:06Speaker 1: remember that. Health not you probably drank a lot of
- 34:09Speaker 1: Rice Dream ice cream, but yeah it was ice cream.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Did you eat iceream? Well? Okay, look, do you remember
- 34:18Speaker 1: that the no fat eating craze where like we all
- 34:21Speaker 1: just ate all the sugar but as we try not
- 34:23Speaker 1: to eat fat. Yeah, well you know we were wrong.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Why because you're supposed to have some fat right now?
- 34:30Speaker 1: But Rice Dream? Yeah, Fat's good and sugar is bad
- 34:33Speaker 1: now we know. But um, basically rice dream is if
- 34:35Speaker 1: you don't want to have dairy ice cream, you can
- 34:37Speaker 1: have ice cream made out of rice icing, but it's
- 34:41Speaker 1: way more sugar and it's got tons of sugar. Everybody's
- 34:44Speaker 1: so crazy about this beyond meat and all of this,
- 34:47Speaker 1: you know, beyond stuff. It's processed so much, you and
- 34:52Speaker 1: and and and that's just as bad as eating red meat.
- 34:55Speaker 1: You know what. Well, no, if you have a if
- 34:57Speaker 1: you have a feeling that you don't want to eat animals,
- 35:02Speaker 1: that have that level of consciousness, Um right, okay, Well
- 35:06Speaker 1: that's a different thing. If you're like, I don't want
- 35:07Speaker 1: to eat animals because they're alive and I want everything
- 35:10Speaker 1: to live. I totally understand that I have a question
- 35:14Speaker 1: about plants. Then also, but um that being said, I know,
- 35:19Speaker 1: but I mean, for example, did you watch that octopus, teacher?
- 35:22Speaker 1: Is that what it's called? Guys? Oh, I don't want
- 35:23Speaker 1: to eat anymore. I don't want to eat an octopus anymore.
- 35:27Speaker 1: I don't. Yeah, I'll never eating dolphin either, I'll never
- 35:29Speaker 1: eat dolphin. Watch octopus, teacher, I know that I saw
- 35:33Speaker 1: that octopus freaking opened up a freaking jar from the inside.
- 35:36Speaker 1: I know you don't watch things, but we Please watch this.
- 35:40Speaker 1: Pretend there's a Star Wars subplot. You have to watch this.
- 35:43Speaker 1: Do they blow up at the death Star in it?
- 35:45Speaker 1: I'll I'll, I'll sit next to you and be like,
- 35:48Speaker 1: imagine that this moment, that that's Anakin, that fish is Anakin.
- 35:54Speaker 1: I man, no, it's so good. That's the title, right
- 35:57Speaker 1: you guys? Joel? Yeah, my octop his teacher. If you
- 36:00Speaker 1: haven't watched it, please watch it. It really well. At
- 36:05Speaker 1: the very least, it made me go, well, I'll never
- 36:06Speaker 1: eat octopus again. They're super smart. Yeah, I was crying.
- 36:10Speaker 1: I thought it was inspiring. Oh my god, it broke
- 36:13Speaker 1: my heart. I was crying too. Yeah, yeah, mine's out.
- 36:16Speaker 1: It's beautiful. They snuggle at the end. Oh, I want
- 36:20Speaker 1: to snuggle. I know he was in love. Did you
- 36:23Speaker 1: guys get that thing I sent you in a text
- 36:26Speaker 1: message with the two dogs that keep posing for the camera.
- 36:29Speaker 1: Oh yeah, the white and black dog. The white and
- 36:31Speaker 1: black dog kind of reminded me of us. Oh um,
- 36:36Speaker 1: great rant from Johnny. Yes, Johnny has a very long, epic,
- 36:40Speaker 1: funny monologue that we couldn't possibly do justice too. But
- 36:43Speaker 1: it's listing. It's like a season four opener. It's like
- 36:46Speaker 1: listing all of the things he hates, including Hugh jack Jackman.
- 36:49Speaker 1: Is this the first time he mentions hating he this
- 36:51Speaker 1: is where the hate began for Hugh Jackman. Now, people
- 36:54Speaker 1: have always asked us, why does doctor Cox hate Hugh Jackman,
- 36:57Speaker 1: And I think Bill's answer is usually let the he
- 37:00Speaker 1: was jealous that that Hugh Jackman was good at so
- 37:02Speaker 1: many things. It has to be that, because I don't
- 37:05Speaker 1: know how you can hate Hugh Jackman. Yeah, nobody hates
- 37:07Speaker 1: Hugh Jackman. He's Wolverine's not easy wolverine, but he didn't
- 37:11Speaker 1: sing and dance. I'm about to say, not only that,
- 37:13Speaker 1: he's a phenomenal act. He's about to star once Covid
- 37:16Speaker 1: is over in The Music Man with Sutton Foster on Broadway.
- 37:20Speaker 1: I mean, you gotta come up, going, girls, she went
- 37:23Speaker 1: from younger to freaking to freaking. Sutton Foster is first
- 37:30Speaker 1: and foremost a Broadway dancer, musical theater star. But she
- 37:34Speaker 1: was in Younger too, right, Yeah, she got younger after
- 37:36Speaker 1: her success on Broadway. Ask thirly Modern Millie. Yeah. And
- 37:41Speaker 1: the Drowsy Chaperone, Oh yes, love Drowsy Chaperone. She's like
- 37:46Speaker 1: the scarlet Johansson of Broadway musicals. Oh shit, her dancing
- 37:52Speaker 1: is so insane that whereas some people um on Broadway,
- 37:57Speaker 1: you go, wow, she has a sick voice and she's
- 37:59Speaker 1: an okay dancer or oh my god, she's a dancer,
- 38:01Speaker 1: but she can kind of thing. Sutton is like level
- 38:03Speaker 1: ten on both Well, I ain't seeing her due to
- 38:06Speaker 1: freaking I think my buck getting big challenge yet, so
- 38:09Speaker 1: I don't know about all of that. What's the I
- 38:12Speaker 1: think my bud getting big challenge. It's the buzzet challenge.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Oh you dropping? Yes, exactly. I don't think Sutton's that
- 38:21Speaker 1: kind of dancer. Did she did? She ain't my type.
- 38:24Speaker 1: She don't dance. So do you go look at are
- 38:26Speaker 1: you on tikknock now? Donald looking at these? I am
- 38:28Speaker 1: not on TikTok but that I think my bucket big,
- 38:31Speaker 1: my bucket big. And then it's it's like women standing
- 38:34Speaker 1: there like this right, like they're normal, like this right,
- 38:38Speaker 1: and it goes I think my bucking big, my bluckin big,
- 38:42Speaker 1: my bucketing big. And they turned to the side, drop
- 38:46Speaker 1: right right, and then another down like this what they
- 38:49Speaker 1: ask They twerk that ass in the camera. If you
- 38:57Speaker 1: get the chance, look for you seeing these if you're
- 38:59Speaker 1: not on tick talk because they show up on Instagram.
- 39:03Speaker 1: I'm going research for the show solely just for the show,
- 39:06Speaker 1: So don't how do you think it have? Don I'll
- 39:09Speaker 1: just I think my butt getting bigger? What's it called?
- 39:12Speaker 1: What's it called, Joe called? The challenge? Is the challenge?
- 39:16Speaker 1: How do you spell busteed? Challenge? Joe? I think the USS?
- 39:20Speaker 1: I right, bust find out? Because this is important. Yeah, yeah,
- 39:24Speaker 1: this is very important because I've seen some of the
- 39:26Speaker 1: I've seen some of the I've seen some people that
- 39:29Speaker 1: I didn't think they but could get big like that.
- 39:31Speaker 1: I was surprised that day but got big. All right, Well,
- 39:35Speaker 1: I'm gonna research for the show, just for the show.
- 39:38Speaker 1: Do it for a show, because that's why any time
- 39:40Speaker 1: I go on TikTok, I have gone on TikTok just
- 39:41Speaker 1: because I'm curious what everybody's up to, and you can
- 39:44Speaker 1: get lost in some crazy shit like what well, I mean,
- 39:49Speaker 1: I'm not even I'm not even talking about there's a
- 39:51Speaker 1: lot of sexual stuff, obviously, people dancing provocatively, but I
- 39:54Speaker 1: just mean, like, no matter what you think of you
- 39:56Speaker 1: can get down a wormhole. I mean, like anything on
- 39:58Speaker 1: the internet, you can get down the craziest wormhole of
- 40:02Speaker 1: conspiracy theorists and crazy people. Joel you on TikTok No
- 40:06Speaker 1: TikTok scares me. I'm overwhelmed by all of the content
- 40:11Speaker 1: and all the options you have, and I was like,
- 40:13Speaker 1: how do you even press record on? Here? It's for
- 40:15Speaker 1: young people, and I'm officially, well, there's a lot of
- 40:18Speaker 1: young people that aren't on it. I mean, it started
- 40:20Speaker 1: I think is like kids doing the choreograph dance, but
- 40:23Speaker 1: now there's a lot of other aspects to it. Wait,
- 40:24Speaker 1: he's holding up his phone. Are you gonna show us
- 40:26Speaker 1: a bust? It's blown out? Can you fix it? We
- 40:29Speaker 1: can't see it. Can you fix it? So it's not
- 40:31Speaker 1: blown out? All right? Woman? Oh, they change clothes as
- 40:34Speaker 1: well when they yes, oh essential. I never thought i'd
- 40:39Speaker 1: be watching twerk videos with Heather Gram. But here we
- 40:41Speaker 1: are supposed to be like, you're in casual clothes and
- 40:46Speaker 1: then once you drop it down. So here's somebody would
- 40:51Speaker 1: have never guessed. Okay, attractive woman in her sweatpants just
- 40:54Speaker 1: hanging around and I feel like she's about to bust it,
- 40:58Speaker 1: and she does. That's interesting. Yeah, we missed we missed
- 41:07Speaker 1: the butt the bucket big, we missed a butt get big.
- 41:10Speaker 1: All right, let's focus on scrubs. As much as I
- 41:13Speaker 1: want to do a bus set rewatch show, we should,
- 41:15Speaker 1: we should totally do a bust re rot show. We'll
- 41:18Speaker 1: do after we're done smooth scrubs. We'll just review bustet videos.
- 41:22Speaker 1: We'll just review, So send your bustet videos to Oh
- 41:25Speaker 1: my god, no, please don't, please don't, please don't. I
- 41:28Speaker 1: don't need that ship. My wife would be like, yo,
- 41:30Speaker 1: what the fuck is like? Sorry, honey, it's my job.
- 41:33Speaker 1: I now review bust video. You guys have not changed
- 41:38Speaker 1: very much, I know for better he u um, what
- 41:54Speaker 1: are we talking about here? Well, of course you'll beat
- 41:56Speaker 1: her son. She's having half her brain removed. Oh yeah,
- 42:00Speaker 1: that was funny. So Kelsell says that to me when
- 42:01Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, I'm trying to be nice to my bagient,
- 42:03Speaker 1: and I'm like, when I get back here, we're gonna
- 42:06Speaker 1: play scrabble, I'm gonna beat you, and Kelsey goes, well,
- 42:10Speaker 1: of course you'll beat her son. She's having half her
- 42:12Speaker 1: brain removed. Yeah, a dick. Malik blew up, Malik blew up. Yes,
- 42:19Speaker 1: the car blew up by anyway, Were you there when
- 42:21Speaker 1: they blew the car up? Yes, that was I remember
- 42:24Speaker 1: the heat. That was the one thing I remember from
- 42:26Speaker 1: that was I don't there wasn't. I don't remember like
- 42:29Speaker 1: the sonic boom from the explosion. I think they added
- 42:32Speaker 1: that the boom, but I do remember the heat. The
- 42:35Speaker 1: because the car did explode in some you know what
- 42:38Speaker 1: I mean, they must have added like some sort of
- 42:40Speaker 1: pyrotechnic explosion. But then they added the sound and post.
- 42:44Speaker 1: Is that what happened? Yeah, well no, it was allowed.
- 42:46Speaker 1: It exploded and I was far away from it. But
- 42:49Speaker 1: I just I don't remember the I don't remember. I
- 42:51Speaker 1: remember feeling like, all right, it's kind of blow. Don't
- 42:53Speaker 1: anticipate it, and when it blows, do the jump. But
- 42:56Speaker 1: then the heat that came after it was really surprised.
- 43:01Speaker 1: That was a surprising part. Did you ask anyone before
- 43:03Speaker 1: you film that scene so close to an exploding car
- 43:06Speaker 1: if they had remembered to empty the gas tank? I
- 43:09Speaker 1: did not. I feel like I would have been like, hey, guys,
- 43:11Speaker 1: just just checking in on a little question. I remember
- 43:16Speaker 1: the pilot when I was doing the gag. I've told
- 43:18Speaker 1: you guys this when I was doing the gag of
- 43:20Speaker 1: the eighteen wheelers headed right for me. The way we
- 43:23Speaker 1: did it was it was started at my face and
- 43:26Speaker 1: then he floored it in reverse. Now granted as Sami
- 43:29Speaker 1: doesn't reverse very fast, but still it would have killed me.
- 43:32Speaker 1: And I remember being like, just double check in you're
- 43:35Speaker 1: in reverse, sir. He was like, yep, I mean that's
- 43:39Speaker 1: a lot of pressure. Double checker in reverse. You sing
- 43:43Speaker 1: the sad song in this that is so funny. We
- 43:47Speaker 1: acknowledged the sad song finally. Yeah, So this is that moment.
- 43:50Speaker 1: If you guys remember if you haven't watched the episode
- 43:51Speaker 1: where Jad talks about the score of the show, which
- 43:55Speaker 1: at this point season beginning season four, we were already
- 43:58Speaker 1: kind of making fun of the fact that they were
- 43:59Speaker 1: only like six ques that they ever used, and whenever
- 44:02Speaker 1: there was a sad moment, it was blah blah blah
- 44:04Speaker 1: bah bah bah bah bah blah blah blah blah blah
- 44:08Speaker 1: bah bah and j D for the first time, totally
- 44:13Speaker 1: breaking the fourth wall, comments on the score in his head. Well, no,
- 44:18Speaker 1: he says it to doctor Cox first. He says to Cox,
- 44:20Speaker 1: He's like, you know, I'm just I'm just ready for
- 44:24Speaker 1: the whatever it is, the news that you're gonna give me,
- 44:26Speaker 1: because I have the song ready to play in my head.
- 44:28Speaker 1: It's usually it goes something like this bah and then
- 44:33Speaker 1: he cuts you off and then at the end it
- 44:35Speaker 1: goes to the song and the real score comes on right,
- 44:39Speaker 1: and then you go, there it is. That's so clever. Yeah,
- 44:43Speaker 1: that was really clever. Yeah. Um, I laughed out loud
- 44:47Speaker 1: when you go, um, there's nothing many about me, and
- 44:49Speaker 1: I go, there isn't. That was a really good joke.
- 44:57Speaker 1: I'm so earnest Donald. There isn't. There isn't. It's like
- 45:00Speaker 1: it's sort of like, uh, what was his name? Steadman.
- 45:03Speaker 1: It's like a baghuette, like a baguette. JD is Turk's
- 45:06Speaker 1: hype man sometimes. Yeah, he's very proud of how thick
- 45:09Speaker 1: you are. Yeah, you were proud, very bad. I'm proud
- 45:12Speaker 1: of my man, proud of my man's girth. Now we
- 45:16Speaker 1: say wolverine, Wolverines. Let's roll. I've never seen the wolverines.
- 45:20Speaker 1: Is that a bad thing? We talked about this. You've
- 45:23Speaker 1: never seen Red Dawn? Have you never seen Red Dawn
- 45:26Speaker 1: or Wolverines? There's two Red Dawn is the Wolverines? Movie
- 45:28Speaker 1: The Wolverines, Let's Roll. Well they don't go Let's roll,
- 45:32Speaker 1: but they're like the wolf If you get a chance
- 45:34Speaker 1: to check it out. Patrick Swayze's in it. I don't
- 45:36Speaker 1: see Thomas. I don't think I want to watch Red Dawn. Really,
- 45:39Speaker 1: we're not. I just feel like I've got a lot
- 45:41Speaker 1: of stuff to watch. I don't know if Red Dawn's
- 45:43Speaker 1: gonna make the list. Okay, well it's a lot of fun.
- 45:45Speaker 1: Don't watch the remake, watch the original. You know, we're
- 45:47Speaker 1: watching non stop right now. We're binging like crazy. Is
- 45:50Speaker 1: Top Chef? Do you ever watched Top? Yeah? So good,
- 45:54Speaker 1: so fun, you know, because I really love the competition
- 45:58Speaker 1: of it all. I love competition games, shows where talent
- 46:01Speaker 1: is the thing that makes you succeed, you know, And
- 46:06Speaker 1: I like that. And this is so fun to watch
- 46:08Speaker 1: these amazing chefs. It makes you hungry, though, don't you
- 46:11Speaker 1: watch and get hungry? Yeah? No, you shouldn't watch if
- 46:14Speaker 1: you've had a weed gummy because then you're like, oh,
- 46:16Speaker 1: and that's like the Great, the Great British bake Off.
- 46:20Speaker 1: That makes you so you just like want to get kid?
- 46:24Speaker 1: Can I wait through both of those? You know what
- 46:27Speaker 1: show you know what show I don't necessarily watch, but
- 46:30Speaker 1: I love it because I got uh, I got some
- 46:33Speaker 1: sex because of it. What go on? Is that the
- 46:37Speaker 1: name of the African very amasive African American male and
- 46:48Speaker 1: so and so. In the last episode, in the last
- 46:51Speaker 1: episode of the season, there's like this whole scene where
- 46:54Speaker 1: they have sex finally, and he says a lot. He's like,
- 46:57Speaker 1: I've burned for you. I just happened to be in
- 47:01Speaker 1: the area when this shit happened. And I heard that,
- 47:04Speaker 1: and you know, there was an audible from my right
- 47:09Speaker 1: and I was like, Oh, it's gonna happen to night.
- 47:13Speaker 1: It's gonna happen to night. So I waited till she
- 47:16Speaker 1: packed up everything. She put all of the stuff away,
- 47:19Speaker 1: and she was like, I'm about to go to bed.
- 47:20Speaker 1: I was like, baby, I burned for you. She said, shuck,
- 47:26Speaker 1: get upstairs. That is so funny. I wonder if across
- 47:34Speaker 1: the earth, because this Bridgerton show is so popular, if
- 47:37Speaker 1: men are getting more laid because their women are getting
- 47:39Speaker 1: all round, they gotta be anybody, especially if they've got
- 47:45Speaker 1: Like I mean, it's a show about it's about humans
- 47:49Speaker 1: rich and poor and uh. Instead of it being about
- 47:53Speaker 1: race uh, none of that's, none of that matters. It's
- 47:57Speaker 1: about who's rich, and it's a class. They just make
- 48:00Speaker 1: it about class, and they make it more they ignore
- 48:03Speaker 1: what color anyone is, right exactly, and so because of
- 48:07Speaker 1: that you have everybody fucking everybody, dude. And but is
- 48:10Speaker 1: the sex sexy, Joel, you watch it? Well, that's the thing.
- 48:13Speaker 1: It's not. It's not basically a softcore porn like really,
- 48:16Speaker 1: but oh yeah, there's like the nudity is way beyond
- 48:19Speaker 1: like what you would see. It's like more than Game
- 48:21Speaker 1: of Thrones. No, no, no, no, no no no, it's
- 48:23Speaker 1: not more than Game of Thrones. Shanda Rhymes found a
- 48:26Speaker 1: way to make it so that you could see the
- 48:29Speaker 1: ass you want to see. Well, it's Netflix, so you
- 48:31Speaker 1: can have more nudity than a whea am I corrected.
- 48:36Speaker 1: It is Shonda's first Netflix show. Yes, so Shanda. Shanda
- 48:40Speaker 1: moved to Netflix from Abc and like a colossal, gargantean
- 48:45Speaker 1: Oprah sized deal and this is her first show and
- 48:48Speaker 1: she put out a period piece. But it's like a
- 48:51Speaker 1: buzz second night. Yeah, you know, I've seen the ads.
- 48:53Speaker 1: I just haven't watched it yet, but now you should
- 48:55Speaker 1: watch it. You can check it out. Yeah, I found
- 48:59Speaker 1: I found doubt about it through my wife because she
- 49:01Speaker 1: was watching this show and I was like, what the
- 49:03Speaker 1: heck is this? And I took five minutes and I realized, Okay,
- 49:08Speaker 1: this isn't for me, but my wife now has porn.
- 49:13Speaker 1: I think that's important. You know, we need are porn too,
- 49:15Speaker 1: you know, because my porn is pretty disturbing sometimes. Yeah,
- 49:18Speaker 1: women stereotypically women don't like the porn that men watch.
- 49:24Speaker 1: They like something like fifty Shades of Gray or Bridgerton. Right.
- 49:30Speaker 1: I think as a woman's occasionally looking at porn, it's
- 49:32Speaker 1: like some of it is really dark. You're like this,
- 49:35Speaker 1: I just wanted to watch like some people having sex.
- 49:37Speaker 1: You know, maybe some like interesting situations, but I don't
- 49:40Speaker 1: want to watch like people getting hurt or it's they
- 49:43Speaker 1: have a lot of weird incests stuff on there. I
- 49:45Speaker 1: think that's kind of creepy. Yeah, it is creepy, right,
- 49:47Speaker 1: It's like a lot of there's a lot of that.
- 49:49Speaker 1: Why has that become such a trend. Do you think
- 49:51Speaker 1: it's because the taboos are all gone and people are like,
- 49:53Speaker 1: well that's the final taboo. I mean, I guess. So
- 49:57Speaker 1: it's a lot of my step mom step dead right,
- 50:00Speaker 1: and I don't want to see like an under Like
- 50:02Speaker 1: I don't want to see a girl that looks like
- 50:04Speaker 1: she's like fourteen either. I'm like, this is disturbing. Like
- 50:07Speaker 1: if they're like consenting adults, I would be like, okay,
- 50:09Speaker 1: you know, but if like some girl like looks like
- 50:12Speaker 1: she's like still in high school and she really looks
- 50:14Speaker 1: like that, I'm like, this is too disturbing. Yeah, it
- 50:17Speaker 1: seems to me that someone should start a pouring company
- 50:20Speaker 1: that's specifically for women. They have Actually, there are some
- 50:25Speaker 1: online um. I mean not that I'm an authority, but
- 50:28Speaker 1: I did notice there was one Donald. Do you want
- 50:31Speaker 1: to start this company with me? I would love to,
- 50:33Speaker 1: But that means we got to go an audition hot guys.
- 50:36Speaker 1: I'm fine with that. I can weigh in on that's right.
- 50:39Speaker 1: I have no problem. I could totally tell when a
- 50:41Speaker 1: man is handsome and when a man is not. Lindsome right,
- 50:44Speaker 1: so we can say, Okay, James, I like your abs.
- 50:48Speaker 1: You're hired. But I think there's a lot of like
- 50:51Speaker 1: not cute guys important Like the women are always pretty hot.
- 50:54Speaker 1: I feel like that the guys are not as because
- 50:57Speaker 1: the point is made for men, and that don't even
- 51:01Speaker 1: interesting and they don't even show the man, right. They
- 51:03Speaker 1: usually showed just the woman watching porn together, and she
- 51:10Speaker 1: was like, well, what are they going to show the guy?
- 51:12Speaker 1: I said, oh, babe, that's not how porn works. But
- 51:15Speaker 1: I bet you can find I mean, I'm not an
- 51:17Speaker 1: expert on on this, but I'm sure you can find
- 51:20Speaker 1: porn that's that's probably more geared towards if you want
- 51:23Speaker 1: to watch something with your with your woman that's going
- 51:26Speaker 1: to turn you both on something that's not sort of
- 51:29Speaker 1: that aggressive male point of view. But if not, Donald
- 51:33Speaker 1: and I are going to start a company. Awesome. This
- 51:36Speaker 1: is our press release. I laughed really hard at Acbar
- 51:40Speaker 1: saying runaway with Me. That was so funny when Heather,
- 51:45Speaker 1: when you hold the guy's head and you go at
- 51:49Speaker 1: heute best delivery, by the way, it's it's funny that
- 51:56Speaker 1: you have the character Molly has this technique to hold
- 51:59Speaker 1: the people's faces. Because I've told everyone on the podcast before,
- 52:03Speaker 1: and I'll remind you guys this technique I have for
- 52:06Speaker 1: remembering people's names. You just picture someone from your life
- 52:10Speaker 1: in that position, like, all right, I'll explain it better.
- 52:16Speaker 1: Did I tell the guard Gate story before. There was
- 52:20Speaker 1: this guy at the guard gate at one of the backlots,
- 52:22Speaker 1: and I always had to say hi to him. I
- 52:24Speaker 1: could never remember his name, and his name is Mark.
- 52:27Speaker 1: So I picked And in my school there was like
- 52:31Speaker 1: a kid named Mark and he was a jock and
- 52:34Speaker 1: he was a drinker and he was kind of nuts
- 52:37Speaker 1: and it was a character and he had red hair,
- 52:40Speaker 1: and I pictured it was like the first Mark that
- 52:42Speaker 1: came in my mind. And so I just pictured that
- 52:44Speaker 1: character from my life in the guard booth. Huh. And
- 52:49Speaker 1: but what if you don't know someone with the same name,
- 52:52Speaker 1: you will I mean, unless it's a really rare name. Yeah,
- 52:55Speaker 1: I go with the name. Yeah, I would picture you.
- 52:59Speaker 1: My point is is that your brain, my brain, and
- 53:01Speaker 1: people's brains have a way of storing it better. So
- 53:03Speaker 1: next time you plup to that garden, you picture the
- 53:06Speaker 1: person that you remember in that guard booth and you
- 53:08Speaker 1: and I just went, oh, Mark, Hey, Mark, And he
- 53:10Speaker 1: looked at me like, wow, you remember my name. That technique,
- 53:13Speaker 1: by the way, is called the memory palace. Okay, So
- 53:15Speaker 1: when you place things in a space and give them
- 53:18Speaker 1: a very specific, pointed memory that allows you to remember them.
- 53:21Speaker 1: It's called the memory Palace. Okay, well guys, if you
- 53:23Speaker 1: I'm telling you, try the Memory Palace, you don't forget.
- 53:27Speaker 1: If you like I'm gonna, you don't forget. And I'm
- 53:29Speaker 1: horrible with names. And it just made me think of
- 53:31Speaker 1: this again when when Molly the character is doing this thing,
- 53:34Speaker 1: she's holding everyone's faces and saying their names sometimes because
- 53:37Speaker 1: how many times you meet someone and shake their hand
- 53:39Speaker 1: and you walk away and go, wait, fuck, what is
- 53:41Speaker 1: his name? Because you know you're nervous to meet someone
- 53:43Speaker 1: or whatever, and you're not focusing on on on undigested.
- 53:47Speaker 1: It's funny how people have different reactions to Molly trying
- 53:49Speaker 1: to remember their names, Like the you know, Acbar is
- 53:51Speaker 1: sort of like oh, and then the other guy, you know,
- 53:54Speaker 1: one Guy's like, let go on my face. Kels is
- 53:59Speaker 1: like yeah, I mean, even as beautiful as you are,
- 54:02Speaker 1: I don't know that i'd want a stranger coming up
- 54:04Speaker 1: to me and grabbing my face. Well, we'll not during
- 54:07Speaker 1: COVID times especially, dude, we could totally see our old
- 54:11Speaker 1: cars in the parking lot. Are you checking? Have you
- 54:14Speaker 1: been looking at? This? Is my which car? Is it?
- 54:16Speaker 1: You have? The z At this point they that you
- 54:19Speaker 1: made fun the silver one. You have the silver one
- 54:22Speaker 1: right before the porch listen, the three fifty Z came out.
- 54:25Speaker 1: I told you this, and I thought it was the
- 54:27Speaker 1: sexiest car in the world. And I was so happy
- 54:29Speaker 1: to get a fancy car. And Donald made fun of me.
- 54:31Speaker 1: He's like, that's the car you got. I was like, dude,
- 54:34Speaker 1: you got a freaking sitcom check now. Yeah, I think
- 54:38Speaker 1: maybe now is the time. Did I tell you that
- 54:40Speaker 1: I'm now in season four? Him all in my head
- 54:42Speaker 1: if I've told all these stories ready, But did I
- 54:43Speaker 1: tell you the story about what one of the guys
- 54:45Speaker 1: who I beat out for the part I ran into
- 54:48Speaker 1: him and it was like awkward, and he kind of
- 54:49Speaker 1: looked at me. He's like, oh, congratsman, what card you get?
- 54:54Speaker 1: Did you say I got the Z? Yeah? I didn't
- 54:57Speaker 1: know that it was uncool to say I'd want a
- 54:58Speaker 1: three fifty Z when you said that? Was he like, oh, well,
- 55:02Speaker 1: congrats to I don't think I get I don't think
- 55:04Speaker 1: I had bought a cool car yet. It like just happened,
- 55:07Speaker 1: and I'm just like my brain his brain was like
- 55:10Speaker 1: I get this part. I'm getting a car? Well yeah, man,
- 55:13Speaker 1: I mean everybody. That's everybody right. When you auditioned for
- 55:16Speaker 1: a role, that's the thing. It's the hardest thing to
- 55:19Speaker 1: be in a moment for these auditions. Like you get
- 55:22Speaker 1: the audition and you're like, I'm so excited to audition
- 55:24Speaker 1: for this. You look at the sides, and then all
- 55:26Speaker 1: of a sudden, your head, your mind wanders off into
- 55:30Speaker 1: all the things that you're gonna do after you get
- 55:33Speaker 1: the part. You know what I mean, after I get
- 55:34Speaker 1: this part, I'm gonna go on vacation. I'm gonna I'm
- 55:38Speaker 1: what I'm gonna do with this money. I'm gonna I'm
- 55:39Speaker 1: gonna get me, I'm gonna get shit, my girl gonna
- 55:41Speaker 1: get a I'm gonna get a role. And you think
- 55:43Speaker 1: about all of the things you're gonna do with this
- 55:46Speaker 1: money and all of the fame that's gonna come with
- 55:49Speaker 1: this part before you even get it, and then you
- 55:52Speaker 1: go on to your audition. Helps you get it? Never
- 55:55Speaker 1: helps because you go on to your audition and when
- 55:56Speaker 1: you walk out, you're like, well, I guess I gotta
- 55:59Speaker 1: wait for the next aud to get that, you know
- 56:01Speaker 1: what I mean, Like it's the worst man, Like I
- 56:04Speaker 1: always do that, the one the auditions that I do
- 56:06Speaker 1: great on are the ones where I'm like, I don't
- 56:08Speaker 1: give a fuck, man, I'm just gonna go in there.
- 56:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna do whatever the fuck it is I do,
- 56:12Speaker 1: and I'm gonna leave and I'm not gonna talk. I'm
- 56:15Speaker 1: not gonna try, and I'm not gonna try and whole
- 56:16Speaker 1: anybody with the freaking what I've been doing in my
- 56:20Speaker 1: off time. Fuck that shit. I'm gonna go in there,
- 56:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna fucking do the audition, and I'm gonna leave. Yeah,
- 56:26Speaker 1: And those are the ones where I usually get Heather,
- 56:28Speaker 1: do you still audition for things occasionally? Well, that's what
- 56:31Speaker 1: I was wanting, you know. I feel like, you know,
- 56:32Speaker 1: when we were auditioning for things, like, I just feel
- 56:35Speaker 1: like people don't audition in person anymore, and now I
- 56:37Speaker 1: feel like everyone has to send a tape if you
- 56:38Speaker 1: ever do, like you do you guys ever audition in
- 56:41Speaker 1: person anymore? Well? No, well, not during COVID, but before
- 56:45Speaker 1: COVID occasionally, Heather, when it was like it was like
- 56:47Speaker 1: a super fancy director. Yeah, yeah, by the way, but
- 56:50Speaker 1: by the way, the director wouldn't necessarily be there. It
- 56:52Speaker 1: was like some mega A list director, but they're interested,
- 56:56Speaker 1: they want you to go in and if it was
- 56:58Speaker 1: someone I'm dying to work with, I would do it. Yeah,
- 57:01Speaker 1: but yeah, you're right, say I actually think. I actually
- 57:03Speaker 1: think it's better, though, Heather, because you have more really
- 57:06Speaker 1: self tape. Well, don't get me wrong. It's great to
- 57:09Speaker 1: go in the room and meet the director and shoot
- 57:10Speaker 1: the ship and see if you have a connection. But
- 57:13Speaker 1: I do think a self tape you can at least
- 57:15Speaker 1: shape and practice it. Only send the best one. But
- 57:19Speaker 1: I think most some people might be surprised that. You know,
- 57:22Speaker 1: no matter even when you've had success in this business,
- 57:25Speaker 1: you still have to go out in campaign to get parts.
- 57:28Speaker 1: Auditioning is terrifying, it really is. It's the hardest thing
- 57:31Speaker 1: on the planet when it comes. Yeah, that's the hardest
- 57:33Speaker 1: thing in acting. Forget parts, forget doing the role, forget
- 57:37Speaker 1: all of the other stuff, forget everything that comes after
- 57:39Speaker 1: you get the part or before you get the part.
- 57:42Speaker 1: The audition is that's the toughest thing to do. It's
- 57:48Speaker 1: sure the actual role had one shot to nail it.
- 57:52Speaker 1: Get one shot, and if you're lucky, the director says,
- 57:54Speaker 1: I like that, let's try it again this way. And
- 57:57Speaker 1: usually when that happens. That doesn't necessarily mean got the role.
- 58:00Speaker 1: That just means your preparation wasn't what the director saw,
- 58:05Speaker 1: you know what I mean. And so it's like it's
- 58:07Speaker 1: the it's the hardest thing ever, and so to get
- 58:10Speaker 1: roles and I'm always I'm always so appreciative that an
- 58:15Speaker 1: audition was all it was what it took for me
- 58:19Speaker 1: to you know, you liked what I did in the room,
- 58:21Speaker 1: You're gonna love what I do when I when when
- 58:22Speaker 1: the cameras rolling, then it does feel like I'm there's
- 58:25Speaker 1: no other way to really do it. But but but
- 58:27Speaker 1: it does feel like not a great test for how
- 58:30Speaker 1: well you're going to be on set because you're coming
- 58:32Speaker 1: in with all this adrenaline, you're coming in with nerves,
- 58:34Speaker 1: You're doing it in front of how are many random people,
- 58:37Speaker 1: and so it's not it's it's it's a bit like
- 58:39Speaker 1: an obstacle course, you know what I mean, Like you
- 58:41Speaker 1: have to like do it now under pressure. Go. But yeah,
- 58:45Speaker 1: like either it's such a high though when when you
- 58:48Speaker 1: know you killed it and they know you killed it,
- 58:49Speaker 1: and there's like, yeah, it is amazing. It's crazy in
- 58:52Speaker 1: the waiting room too, though, when you see other, the
- 58:54Speaker 1: other people that are are auditioning. You know what if
- 58:55Speaker 1: there if you know them, or yeah it's you play
- 58:58Speaker 1: mind games too. I remember back in the day, like
- 59:01Speaker 1: all these people would be like I really was aware
- 59:03Speaker 1: of the psychology of the waiting room, how people would
- 59:06Speaker 1: try and distract you. How people would, you know, start
- 59:09Speaker 1: conversation with you, like they knew you were going next,
- 59:12Speaker 1: so they would like try and keep take your mind
- 59:14Speaker 1: off of learning, you know, working on the lines. And no.
- 59:17Speaker 1: I just remember this one kid where I was up
- 59:20Speaker 1: for this part and he came out of the room
- 59:22Speaker 1: and he was swiping away his tears and he's like,
- 59:25Speaker 1: break a leg, guys, and we all looked at each other,
- 59:29Speaker 1: like flipping through the sides, like where's the fucking crying scene?
- 59:36Speaker 1: And this dude I got to know him, and he
- 59:39Speaker 1: could just cry on queue, and so he would just
- 59:40Speaker 1: put it into any audition to show off that he
- 59:42Speaker 1: could like cry, even if the scene didn't called for it,
- 59:45Speaker 1: because he thought it was like going to blow their minds.
- 59:48Speaker 1: And I remember I asked him once I go, so
- 59:51Speaker 1: you're just crying in like every audition He's like, yeah,
- 59:53Speaker 1: I tried to just to like show him what I
- 59:54Speaker 1: can do and I was like, wow, um, okay, well
- 59:57Speaker 1: what do you why do you do that? He goes,
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: I just think anyone doing anything bad animals. Oh, I
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: was like, you know what. Okay, waiting in the waiting
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: room when you hear someone else killing is also sucks.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: Right when you're waiting and you can hear that person
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: who's in there is like just killing and everyone loves them.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: That's also horrible. But don't you also remember those times
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: when you're in there and you hear someone go and
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: they're like and they suck, and you're like, yeah, some
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: matter than that. God. Yeah, we should go to break.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: We gotta go a break. Yeah, and I gotta pee.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: And then we're gonna come back with a caller and
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: it's gonna be so exciting. We'll be right back. We'll
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: be right back, and we're back with the The The
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: The Heather Graham, she gets three these, Heather. We take
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: a caller on the show. Because the fans seem to
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: think it's super fun. We invite someone that Joel has
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: pre screened to make sure they're not a psycho crazy
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: person and um, and then they ask one or two
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: questions and then they ask us to fix their life
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: in some way. So we we we And you're very
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: good at this because you're spiritual and you know a
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: lot about psychology, so you're probably gonna be very helpful
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: in fixing their life. So let's invite them in. Daniel,
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: no problem here, like come, Brittany Rogers, Britney Rogers. Day's
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: guest is gonna need some give it up for Brittany
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: Rogers and friend. Oh my god, Brandy. Hi, guys, nice
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: to meet you. Can you fix your camera so we
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: can see your beautiful faces? Oh? There you go? Hih?
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: Is your friend with you? Britney Rogers? Okay, well, technically
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: i'm the guest. My name is Alex and this is Brittany. Hi,
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: Alex Rodgers and Alex. There you go. You got your
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: Oprah voice introduction. That's the Heather Graham you got Daniel
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: and Joel. Oh my gosh. Yeah, I know. I'm excited too.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: I get it. That's how I feel whenever I see Heather. Um, So, guys,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: where are you calling from? Yeah? Outside of Atlanta? Oh
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: at l in the house, I think at LS where
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: the Little Bow Wow concert was. Were you guys at
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: the Little Bow Wow concert? I don't even know who
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: still did shows that here. Yeah, you can talk about
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: we want you to be, we want you to be
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: speak freely. Oh my god, this is crazy. Okay, Zach,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: I have to tell you I had the hugest crush
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: on you. Why does it have to be past tense
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: because you are ugly? Now? Why the I mean? I
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: know I'm old as fucked right, can't you have an
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: old crush? It's not past tense, it's one present, thank you.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: But I can't say that because I have an even
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: bigger crush on your girlfriend. Yes, me too, so beautiful,
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: Yes she is. I'm very lucky, very you are. I'm
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: super jealous. I get it. I get a girl. Um listen,
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: do you guys have a question? You can ask anything
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: you want for any of us. It could be just
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: anything that comes to your mind, preferably a little bit
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: about scrubs. But it doesn't have to be okay, Um, Well,
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: I do want to do a shout out for all
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: the pharmacy techs because we don't get shout out. It's
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: very often shout out to all the pharmacies. Say did
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: you get your vaccine? Yes? I did? Actually I got
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: the fiser one which covers the other two strains. So
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: I'm good Maderna doesn't Maderna doesn't cover the other two strains.
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: Is that? Is this what we're learning so far? That's
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: what is there? There isn't research yet saying that it
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: has but Fiser does they have done the research? Okay,
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: I have a question. What can a UM pharmacy tech
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: do not? Do? You know? What? What what are they
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: allowed to do? And what does the pharmacists have to do? Okay? Well? Um,
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: so I do. I work in the er. I do
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: patient interviews and like I asked them what medications they're taking,
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: so that like they don't take something that counter aunt
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: with something that we give them, and then the pharmacists
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: reviews those I see. We do a lot of like
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: hands on and then all of our work is checked
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: by the pharmacists. Got it? But are you allowed to
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: pour out the pills and make sure the right amounts
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: in or is it? Yeah? Yeah? So I work in
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: a hospital, Like I said, so, a lot of the
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: stuff I do are like IV bags and which is
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: my favorite thing to do. Got it, make like epibags
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: and capra stuff like that. That's that's great. I have
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: another question. Can I ask you another question about the
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: it's not the side effects I'm worried about when it
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: comes to the fer vaccine. What are the allergic reactions
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: when it? Like they say, if you're allergic to certain
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: things in medicine, you shouldn't take the Fiser. Is this correct? Like,
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: if you're I ca'll tell you. With all vaccines, Um,
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: I did I study vaccines in school. It's part of
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: you know, the pharmacy program. Um, and all vaccines the
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: main component is eggs. Um. So if you're allergic to eggs,
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: you can't get any vaccines. Okay? Um. But as far
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: as the fisor one, the allergic reactions are usually like
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: not as well known because it's so new. They tested
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: it on people with different allergies, and um, you know,
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: I was told from the research that we've done as
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: a hospital that the reactions are minimal as far as
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: allergic reactions. Did you get every Did you get a
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: reaction to it? No? Um? So I don't like getting
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: the flu vaccine, but I do it because it's part
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: of my job and it hurts going in. But the
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: Fiser vaccine I barely felt it at all. I got
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: some really major like fatigue in my arm though, like okay,
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: and it lasted like five or six hours. I like literally,
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: I was like, uh, my arm could barely lift it.
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: But other than that, to not get COVID though, that's
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: a pretty good price to pay. Yeah. Yeah, And it
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: all the lasted a couple of hours and that was it.
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: I played golf recently with some seniors, some retired seniors,
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: a couple of days ago, and they were talking about,
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: you know, how they were trying to set up their
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: appointments to go get it. And I was and I
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: was like, are you guys worried about any type of
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: side effects? And one dude straight up said to me,
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: I'm not worried about COVID than I am these damn
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: side effects, man, Let's be honest, like, you know. And
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: when he said that, it was really clear for me. Yeah. Absolutely,
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: the last thing I want to get right now is
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: COVID nineteen. Amen. All right, guys, in the interest of time,
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: let's segue to your question. Go ahead. It could be
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: about anything, okay. So the question that I had was,
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: there's a moment in season five where JD like has
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: this realization that he's turning thirty and he's like living
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: on that piece of land that he buys the half aker. Yeah,
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: and he feels like he has like nothing to show
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: for all these years of you know, no house, no girlfriend,
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: and um every people. I feel like when I watched
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: the show, I was like, you're a doctor, Like what
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: an accomplishment? Yeah, but that's not said in the show.
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: So I guess my question is like, have you ever
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: felt like this, and like, how does it compare to
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: now that you're older and past the age of thirty.
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: That's a great question. That's a great question. In fact,
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: just the other day I was thinking about something like
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: this and thinking when I got to be forty five,
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: I thought to myself, Wow, I really have accomplished a
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: lot of my goals, but at I sort of sitting
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: back now and not being as hungry and and proactive
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: at at trying to experience new things for no reason.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: I think I got to be forty five and was like, Okay,
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: I accomplished a lot. There's still a lot I want
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: to do, but I'm gonna lean back in my chair
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: a little bit. And then I called myself out on that, like,
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: I don't I don't want to be like that. I
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: want to be someone who's who's you know. I don't
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: really believe in an afterlife personally, so it's for me,
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: it's like this is it? What else? What else are
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: you going to? What else are you gonna do? You know?
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: I was telling telling my girlfriend and we were watching
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: Top Chef obsessively and I was thinking, God, you know,
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: I've I've participated. This is just an example. I participated
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: in financing restaurants and that's been fun. I think one
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: life goal would be, like really be involved in creating
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: a restaurant and like with the decor and the menu
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: and really really really being involved, not just an investor.
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: There's just a random example the king of my mind,
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: but but things that I that I really want to
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: accomplish because I feel like this is this is it?
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: You have to seize the day and make should happen. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: I feel I you know, I feel like that. Of course,
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: I think I think we'd all be crazy to not
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: feel like that. I think it's only natural. Um, and
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: I've accomplished a lot of my goals already, but I
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: can micro manage that and turn that and turn those
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: accomplishments into But I didn't accomplish this. I can get
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: even I shouldn't say micromanage that. I could get more
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: specific about my goal and say I didn't I didn't
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: accomplish this. And that's what I find myself doing a lot.
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: I don't dwell on Nobody dwells on their success. Nobody
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: thinks about how successful they are, especially if you want
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: to become more successful. You know, there are some people
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: that are like, you know, what I did, what I
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: said I was going to do. I'm good. That's not me.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: I don't think that's anybody on this call right now,
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: you know. And so I've accomplished a lot, but there's
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: so much more that I want to do, especially when
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: I get specific about it. What about you, Heather, Yeah,
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: I feel like I still have a lot I want
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: to do. I mean, I think it's really exciting now
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: that people care more about women's stories, like I do.
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: Feel like I kind of came up in a time
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: or it was really male dominated. So it's exciting now
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: that people are like, oh, what are the voices of
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: women and what do women think? And me too, and
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: that extending into like female writers and directors and stories
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: with female protagonists, Like I think that's really exciting, Heather,
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: Are you going to direct? Yeah? I think I'm working
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: because you directed a short, right, Yeah. No, I actually
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: did direct a movie. It's called Half Magic, and I
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: have a second movie that I now have a financier for.
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: And oh my god, Donald, what are you doing? Oh
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: that's your wife? Anyway, Yes, I'm going to direct another
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: movie called Chosen Family that my friend Andre Rellis is
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: going to produce and we're just actually casting it right now.
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: I think we're going to shoot it in Montana. That's great, beautiful.
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: I remember you directing a short and yeah, I did
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: a short too, Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, I mean it's
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: so fun, like what you know, look what you did
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: as well, like just directing stuff. It's so fun to
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: feel like you want to tell a story for me.
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: I feel like there should be more empowering stories for
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: women out there, and stories from our point of view,
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: of course, and there's such a demand now and I
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: notice a real movement in the business to hire more
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: women and to tell more female driven stories. Um, all right, gals,
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: that's answer to question one. What about question two? Okay,
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: So my second question is why doesn't Brittany Rogers ever
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: talk she's shy. No, I'm just down too. Southern wife
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: talk about to hear his wife talks talk like, hey, y'all, y'all,
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: I'm I'm from Texas where we talk slow a suburb
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: of Waco. We went trip to Wake. Actually, it's so
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: southern down here that I have a friend that told
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: me she's from Alabama. She said, yeah. One time in school,
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: they took us to Daga for a field trip and
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: they took the school bus all on the track. Wait,
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: what do you mean they put the school bus on
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: the track. Where did the where they take the school
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: bus the trip to Talladega talent Todega today and they
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: went on the track. I remember Casey was once talking
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: about one of her relatives house and and how inexpensive
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: it was, and she was like, y'all, and it was
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: a nice house. It had a swing set in the semen.
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: You know, you know they southern, like I say July.
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: You know it's a Southern person when they say July.
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: But I just love that. One of the one of
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: the selling points for Casey about the house being nice
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: was that the swing set was in the semen. Right.
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: It wasn't one of those it wasn't one of those
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: bullshit all over. Yeah. I think Southern accents are super cute, right,
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: so cute. Yeah, there you go, girls. That's from Heather Ground.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: Ahead ahead with your question. Okay, So my next question
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: is what moments in television or theater or movies, uh,
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: where you felt like you could relate to those moments
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: and where you said, yes, that's exactly how that feels.
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: What were those moments for you? Well, at the end
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: of La La Land, obviously in our show, where you
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: just meaning like in film and TV, well in general.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: I asked that question because I mean, it's not just
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: the finale, it's you know that episode where you guys
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: lose three patients. It just expresses the real version of death.
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: It doesn't sugarcoat it. And that was a moment for me.
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: So I was just curious if you guys had moments
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: like that that you were a part over, that you
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: just witnessed as a regular movie viewer. You know, I know,
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: I know we have Heather Graham on the show, but
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: my first time seeing Swingers, I had just moved out
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: to Los Angeles and I really felt like that was
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: how it felt to be in Los Angeles in the
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: industry and struggling as an actor. And so when I
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: saw that movie and the ending after he gets the number,
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: after he gets Heather's number and they're you know, talking
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: at the car and they get to the he gets
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: to the house and she's already called him and everything
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: like that, I just thought, this is the next day
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: she's called him. I just thought I was like, this
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: is perfect. This is exactly what it feels like to
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: be in this moment right now. Like it felt like
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: when when when when Fabre's buddy says to him, we
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: made it. We're here, you know what I mean. We're
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: not in New York anymore. That's the success story right there.
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: That felt real to me. You know, It's funny. I
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: totally forgot that Heather is the dreaming girl at the
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: end of Swingers. Heather, we love that movie. We talked
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: about the movie all the time. That's cool. Yeah, Well,
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: you know they made that movie for like two hundred
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: and fifty thousand dollars, and that we shot on a
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: lot of locations they didn't like. They didn't have them
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: shut for the shoot because we didn't have enough money.
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: So it was open and there were all these people
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: in the bar, just regular people and we just they
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: had a camera. It was very gorilla. Yeah, it was
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: so great of the amazing. Yeah, and Donald's right, if
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: you want to, if you're curious to know at least
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: a certain time, I mean, what it was like to
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: come out and be a struggling actor in la I
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: think it's probably it's probably all. It probably all still
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: holds up. It's just that was nineties, right, Like nobody
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: has the what was the ship that we used to
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: put on our cars to stop people from stealing it? Oh?
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: The club? The club we all got low jack. Now, Um,
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: all right, let's move on to Fix your Life. Are
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: you ready? Yeah, I'm ready. It's time too fix You're
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: now listen. Not only do we have Heather Graham here
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: because she's a great actress, but she's also very smart
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: and very into therapy and new age stuff. She's going
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: to really lead the charge here with your question, So
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: you're getting a real pro a. Heay. Um, I guess
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: my Fix my Life would be. I was supposed to
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: come on the podcast originally for the Turk and Carlo
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: wedding episode. What happened? Um, well, my fiance of five
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: years messed up there was there was a little bit
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: of you know, double dipping. Heaho, Oh my god, you
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: found out that he was unfaithful to you, Yes, the
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: day before Christmas Eve. Oh that sucks. So after you
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: killed him, we need you need us to help you
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: bury the body? Is that was? No? No? Wait, wait
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: finished what happened? When happened? We're gonna come on the
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: show and you had to cancel because this is some
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: serious drama. So yeah, so I had to, you know,
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: go through all of that of canceling the wedding and
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: I'm in the process of still moving out and yeah,
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: so it's is he frozen like that? I'm sorry. I mean,
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: we're trying to be funny, but I'm so sorry for you.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: That's fucking horrible. I'm so sorry that that happened here.
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: It sucks. I guess that's where my first question came from,
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: is just like, you know, where do I go from here? Like, okay, wait,
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: I have a good one. Reject is God's protection? Maybe
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: he's dodged a bullet. I mean, you could have married him.
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: Let me tell you say, he's gonna cheat on you
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: while you're fucking engaged before the wedding. You think that's
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: not gonna happen over and over and over again. Fuck
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: that guy. No, better to find out now before you've
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: married him. You know, great, whatever she said, that's what
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: she said. I said, you're not Heather Grant. It's funny
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: because in the episode actually it's the second episode of
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: season four. Um, you know, everyone's giving Sarah's character advice,
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: but she won't listen to anyone, but she listens to me.
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: This guy hardly gets mad about it. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: Now you desire to be happy? Sorry, go to listen
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: when when someone shows you who they are, believe them.
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: And if you think that guy was not going to
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: do that over and over again, if he's doing that
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: before the wedding, like leading up to the wedding, yeah,
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: I mean that is the ultimate example of bullet dodged. Well,
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: come on, you're another strong female voice. Yeah no, get
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: first of all, screw that guy for life, Like, what
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: is wrong with you? So I don't ever understand, like
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: if you don't want to do this, like you could
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: just be honest about it and we can. I don't
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: like people wasting my time, as I'm sure you feel.
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: So I'm glad you're like out of that space and
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: glad you have such a good friend as Brittany. Brittany,
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: we were because we were going to try to coordinate,
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: you know, Alex like getting married like on the same day.
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: We talked about having like Randall coming in officiating and
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: so like, and she planned a lot of this for
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: her fiance and so it's like it's clear to me
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: out So you have like so much love to give
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: and that you like truly care. So I would say,
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: like take the time to heal from this, because you've
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: got a more in the relationship. Like that's it's a
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: big loss. But once you're over that, once you've you've
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: put that in its place and gotten on with it.
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: I like you have like it's almost a gift. You've
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: been given like a whole new opportunity to evaluate like
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: what's really important to you, so that the next time
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: you're ready to like give your heart to someone, you're
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: going to be like I know exactly what I'm looking
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: for and when I'm not, and you're to be just
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: so ready for that experience. Five years is a really
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: really long time to be with somebody. How did you
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: find out by the way I found him at her apartment.
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: You walked in on them. I pulled up on them.
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: I saw him walking out of her apartment. It was
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: kind of like a movie. Did you already know? Did
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: you already have a clue that this was going on?
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: Or was this something that caught you totally off guard? Um?
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: There were signs. I just didn't want to see them,
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: like I found her. It was the snapchat, and I
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: know how Donald feels about snapchat. It was the snapchat
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: that I He was on her snapchat, but there was
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: no conversation that I could read, and so yeah, it
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: was deleted. So when I pulled, I pulled. I went
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: left work early, came home. His car wasn't there. It
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: was actually my car. My car wasn't there at three
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: o'clock in the morning because I worked night shift. I
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: just kind of drove to the last place that he
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: had pinged on his phone and my car was out there,
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: and I saw him walking out of her apartment. Did
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: you confront him right there? Oh yeah? Oh yeah, Oh
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: my god. Did he deny it or did you admit it? Um?
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: I mean he didn't deny I was helping her with
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: the laundry in the morning. Actually he was doing he
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: was doing what Donald loves, which is God's lettuce. Yeah,
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: so that's what he originally told me that that was
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: the intention. But yeah, no, he had her hair on
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: his shoulder. Oh my god, I'm so sorry. I'm sorry
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: to hear this. You deserve you deserve much better. Well,
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: thank you. That means so how old are you? I'm
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: twenty six, Yeah, you're so young time. Yeah, what was
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: you doing getting married anyway when you got No, I
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: wasn't twenty one we got engaged. I was twenty one
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: when we started dating. I know. But you've been with
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: that guy and faithful and committed for five years. Ye,
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: and he went and did you dirty? So now you're
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: gonna go live your best life. I'm gonna tell you
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: how you do it only fans, No, not the only
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: way to do it. I see a lot of it's
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: the only way to do it. No, it's a it's
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: a it's a it's a site heather where women go
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: and shake their booties, where they do it in bust.
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: A challenge a lot. You know what you should get clear,
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: get clear, get clear what you want and go after
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: what you want. And who cares about someone who? He's
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: not what you want right, So go after what you want. Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: I agree with Heather. I mean, I think that you're
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: going to find someone who's gonna love you and be
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: faithful to you and uh and not fucking cheat on you.
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: That's horrible. Plus, I think you changed a lot in
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: the late twenties. You get, you go through a lot,
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: and by the time you're in your like twenty twenty nine,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: you may be attracted to a totally to fron guy
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: than you liked when you were twenty. You know, I
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: don't think I'll be attracted to cheaters. No, Yeah, you
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: want someone Listen, And I gotta tell you, you know
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: that you I'm so upset. You seem like such a
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: nice person and you deserve so much better, And you're
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: gonna have so much fun once this fucking pandemic is over.
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: You're gonna think about all the fun you're gonna have dating.
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: In the meantime, there's people dating now. I want you
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: to know. I mean really no, but I have. I have.
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: I have some friends that have gone on some well
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: I mean, you know, a walking coffee day. You know,
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: I know people that are dating. I dipped my toe
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: in the dating pool and I'm already exhausted. Oh really,
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: just from dipping. I've never had a toe dipped in me,
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: but I'd like to try it inappropriately. I would let
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: flow dip a toe in. Okay maybe okay, wait, yeah,
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: maybe you're going after the wrong gender because it's sounds
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: like you're pretty excited by the ladies. Yeah, maybe you
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: want to try to dabble with the ladies. Um, yeah,
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: I have dabbled before. Okay, well it might be time
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: to read dabble. We lost Joelle, she'd be weighing in
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: on this conversation. Heavily are better. You just realized, like,
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: maybe you need to go for the ladies instead, right, yeah, yeah,

- 1:23:30Speaker 1: crazy for a while. Wait, wait, I have something great
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: to say. Okay, have you read this book. It's called
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: Untamed by Glenn and Doyle. This book is amazing. It's
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: about this woman. She was married and she's an inspirational writer,
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: and then she realized she was in love with a woman,
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: and she left her husband and like she fell in
