- 0:04Let's talk. Honestly I already knew kids can
- 0:07get it with it but why did they kill like 5 kids?
- 0:13They killed everybody. It was like, all right, here are
- 0:18all these characters that you can get to know.
- 0:20You can go home with them. You get to know their families.
- 0:24Oops, sorry, they're dead. This flying baby just heated
- 0:29these kids in this movie theater and they're going to be picking
- 0:33up their DNA. For decades.
- 0:35Oh my God, what a great way to put picking up their DNA.
- 0:39It was blood everywhere. There was pieces everywhere.
- 0:43Everywhere. Lily walked out of the of the
- 0:46theater holding the little girl's.
- 0:49Hands. That little girl is honestly the
- 0:52female version of Georgie. Yes.
- 0:55No, yes. You know.
- 0:58With the tall kid, yes. My goodness.
- 1:02I didn't even think about that. Yeah, I was.
- 1:05Showing the same vibe because they just full on killed this
- 1:07super sweet tiny girl these other kids right that we thought
- 1:12were going to be our main character I mean they're.
- 1:14On the poster. You feel me like it's completely
- 1:19throwing me off and I don't appreciate it.
- 1:21I don't appreciate it, but I knew from the start that this
- 1:25was going to be my type of show for sure.
- 1:27So like if you want to do you want to start at the beginning?
- 1:29Yes, spoilers ahead. Oh, come on now.
- 1:32Yes, there's going to be plenty of spoilers.
- 1:35Watch the episode and then come back, please.
- 1:37OK, so we start in the movie theater and the poor little boy,
- 1:43what was his name? Maddie.
- 1:46Maddie. I'm like, what was his name?
- 1:50Ed Straws. Yeah, it was Maddie.
- 1:52He is sitting there watching a movie and he's got bruises all
- 1:55over his face. And so you're like, OK, He's
- 1:58clearly abused. He's sucking on the little
- 2:01pacifier like his life. Depended on it.
- 2:04That was his whoopie. Like that was his comfort
- 2:06blanket. Like a pacifier.
- 2:08You know, we all got our things. His thing was a little creepy,
- 2:11yeah. It was, and I feel like he knew
- 2:13it was creepy because later when he was trying to flag down a
- 2:16ride he'd pop it out in his mouth Like anybody stop it for a
- 2:18kid with pacifier. I mean, and the sound it was
- 2:22making, I was like. Child, calm down, right?
- 2:25But he clearly needed some some soothing.
- 2:29I mean I guess if a pass easier thing, right?
- 2:32And then the guy decides he makes it his mission in life to
- 2:36kick him out of the movie. Theater down.
- 2:38It doesn't matter if this kid wants to be in the movie
- 2:40theater, it's not. You're drowning anyway.
- 2:43There's no difference in him sitting in that seat and not
- 2:46sitting in that seat. Nobody else was sitting there.
- 2:48But, but whatever. He's the police.
- 2:50He needs to, you know, get that. But then we meet What's the
- 2:54girl's name? Ronnie.
- 2:57Ronnie. Yes, that one.
- 3:00Then we meet Ronnie. She's super sweet.
- 3:01She. Yeah, you know, tells her dad
- 3:03that he went the other direction so he can get out, but he ends
- 3:06up getting caught anyway and he runs out the theater.
- 3:08Right, Right. So that's a pretty good setup.
- 3:10Decent. We know where we are invested.
- 3:12Who's? This child, what's gonna happen
- 3:14to him? What has happened to him?
- 3:16Right? And then he starts walking down
- 3:20the street, leaving dairy. Leaving.
- 3:22He wants to leave dairy so he doesn't want to be with his
- 3:24parents anymore. Rightfully so.
- 3:25Bye. Clearly, what's going on with
- 3:27his face, exactly? And then a car pulls over for
- 3:30him, and it's like the most perfect family, right?
- 3:34Or so we thought. So isn't that what Pennywise
- 3:37does? Isn't that what it does?
- 3:39He gives you this thing that you think you want, and then he
- 3:42twists it exactly and he messes. With your mind, it's your worst
- 3:45fear, always. So he wanted a family, Yeah.
- 3:48And he got. This perfect little family.
- 3:50He's got a sister, a brother over there trying to spell a
- 3:53dad, and a mom who's pregnant. OK, you feel me?
- 4:01You feel me Like I went into this being like, OK, we're going
- 4:03to see Pennywise for sure. No.
- 4:06We saw a birth. The weirdest, most gruesome
- 4:11birth ever. We saw her coochie.
- 4:16We did for like a. We did when when the 2 headed
- 4:20zombie baby was coming out it just went like just.
- 4:29Yeah. You all are thinking about
- 4:31having kids. Don't like start showing that in
- 4:35schools and be like evil. Do not have sex because this
- 4:40could happen to you. Not the fear mongering, that's
- 4:43crazy work right there. Oh my God, no.
- 4:45But this? Devil Baby popped out of
- 4:48everything and it was still attached to the umbilical.
- 4:51Cord. Oh my God, yeah.
- 4:53And they're trying to like, wrangle it said.
- 4:56Excuse me? Yeah.
- 4:59So they're lassoing the demon baby with the umbilical cord,
- 5:03which is crazy, right? And then he decides he wants to
- 5:06go after Maddie. Yeah.
- 5:11And poor Maddie, he's just like hands over his ears.
- 5:14He's. Yeah, the whole family is
- 5:16spelling out. Oh, you too.
- 5:19Right over and over and over again.
- 5:21I'm so his freaking brother. He gets the Pennywise eyes, but.
- 5:25Yeah, the different and the little.
- 5:26Yeah, yeah, we shouldn't call it Pennywise Eyes, some people.
- 5:33I like that though. Pennywise eyes, you got them.
- 5:38But they lock in on this child who's freaking out.
- 5:41His worst nightmare. He can't get out the car.
- 5:43The baby stops flying, just looks at him.
- 5:45Oh my. God, with both heads, yeah,
- 5:48yeah, cuz he's got another one right head and there's no
- 5:50eyeballs in the big. One.
- 5:52No. Yeah, no.
- 5:54And he only has one wing. Like make him as creepy as
- 5:57possible. And they did and they did, and
- 6:00they locked in on this kid and we go out the car, smash, we see
- 6:05the blood and then the. The path he goes.
- 6:08Flying out into the stream, we go into the tunnels, it's
- 6:13welcome to dairy and we're like. I was like, shit, I'm in.
- 6:17This is for me. This show is for me.
- 6:21I don't know what is happening, but there's a lot of horror TV
- 6:25shows that aren't scary or that don't lean into whatever The
- 6:30thing is. And if you've read this.
- 6:32Thick ass book, my gosh. Then you know that Stephen King
- 6:38his mind. Is wild.
- 6:41And the things he came up with. Because who, right?
- 6:45Why should I be concerned? Maybe.
- 6:53Real, right, real. But honestly, at that point we
- 6:56were just like, OK, we're in. What's next?
- 6:59Who's dying next? Well, I was thinking nobody was
- 7:02dying right away. I was just like, cool, let's
- 7:05meet all these kids because we meet Lily, we meet Teddy, and we
- 7:09meet Phil. Phil, who I love.
- 7:12We like Phil so much. The tall kid.
- 7:14He's the new Richie. Yes, he was so hilarious and so
- 7:17neurotic because I love me a neurotic character.
- 7:20I don't know what I see in myself, but I love me a neurotic
- 7:23character. And he was so fun and we
- 7:27instantly fell in love. Absolutely.
- 7:31This is. We're our group, so we're like,
- 7:33OK, we got our characters. This is a Stranger Things all
- 7:36over again. This is it all over again.
- 7:37So here's our people. We learn about them.
- 7:40We got the Jewish kid, we got the funny kid.
- 7:42He's a little bit broken. The girl mental baby away.
- 7:47Not because her dad died. And apparently a weird place.
- 7:51Yeah, and the pickle thing. Kids are so mean.
- 7:55Like her dad got ground up in the Pickles.
- 8:02In the Pickles. And they were like, let's put
- 8:03her locker full of Pickles. Full of Pickles what?
- 8:06Jerks. Evil.
- 8:08I know, right? So she's got her thing.
- 8:12Yeah, she's not. Part of the cool group, even her
- 8:15friend who's trying to be her friend and but she really wants
- 8:19to be over there with the cool girls but they don't like.
- 8:21Her. No.
- 8:22Yeah, I don't like her friend either.
- 8:23She's sketchy. No, and so it makes sense that
- 8:26she linked up with the other castaways with the cast outs who
- 8:31all three of them kind of dissed Maddie when he was just looking
- 8:35for. He needed somebody, yeah.
- 8:37Like affection, friendship, something they had to be paid,
- 8:41apparently, to go to his. Birthday with candy too.
- 8:44And he's like, it wasn't really payment, it was candy.
- 8:46It's. Like that's worse actually.
- 8:49Exactly. And then just the whole thing or
- 8:51just like you get to see this background of Maddie and it's
- 8:54like, man, he was clearly abused at home.
- 8:57He didn't have any friends or any true friends.
- 8:59He really liked Lily. He went in to kiss her and
- 9:03cringe. I could not.
- 9:07I could not. I had to cover my hand.
- 9:09Oh my God, I don't like that. Poor baby.
- 9:13All it was was just like a kiss on the cheek would have been
- 9:15fine, but she said no. She backed away in disgust.
- 9:19Well, that's her prerogative. She didn't have to kiss him.
- 9:23No, she didn't. She didn't.
- 9:25And it's just like all of it, all of it kind of just
- 9:28snowballed. Into.
- 9:29This thing and it's like he just wanted to leave.
- 9:32Yeah, and he was emotionally available for Pennywise to come
- 9:35get him. God, and that's the point.
- 9:38Pennywise just breaks all these kids down and when you just
- 9:41don't care anymore, he comes and he gets.
- 9:42You and he gets you Exactly. And apparently Bill Skarsgard is
- 9:47coming back. Yes, to play Pennywise, which
- 9:50is. Big.
- 9:51Usually they recast roles like Yeah.
- 9:53I'm so excited because who else can play Pennywise?
- 9:55Sorry no one like. Absolutely no one.
- 9:58If you want the real fear from these children, you got to bring
- 10:01them. Absolutely, because he kills as
- 10:03him. Yes, I loved him.
- 10:05Right, right. So excited, love it.
- 10:08We have our core group. We know the town military guy
- 10:13his name. Leroy Hamlin Hamlin.
- 10:17Blackest name ever. Leroy, they were like, he's
- 10:24black, just in case you didn't know.
- 10:27And the script, all you had to put was his name, not his.
- 10:29You know you. Usually do.
- 10:30Yeah, like. 50s African American.
- 10:33It's like Leroy. Leroy Hamlin, But you were about
- 10:36to say. Hamlin.
- 10:38Hamlin. Mike Hamlin's dad.
- 10:40I'm assuming. I don't know.
- 10:41I don't. I don't.
- 10:42I don't know. But I'm thinking.
- 10:44Yeah, it's a very specific name and there's not very many black
- 10:46people in the town, so no period it makes.
- 10:48Sense so we locked in immediately.
- 10:50The bad part is that we know how his parents died.
- 10:53Which is. He was in a fire when he was
- 10:55young and he. Was pretty young now.
- 11:00I don't know how young. Well, they showed a picture and
- 11:03I was trying to me watch it on our television, not on her
- 11:05phone. So I couldn't like zoom in, but
- 11:07he looked like he came up to about here.
- 11:10So. I don't know.
- 11:12What if they like? What if they like, die at the
- 11:14end of the series? I'm here.
- 11:17I mean, it is what it is. We're here for the children,
- 11:19first of all, OK, right. We follow the kids.
- 11:23Those are main. Characters Adults are
- 11:25expendable. Yes.
- 11:28Well, clearly the children are too.
- 11:30Well, yeah, But yes, I am. Because what we've talked about
- 11:35on a bunch of shows, movies that are like from my generation that
- 11:40focus on the kids, the parents are, I don't know, they're at
- 11:43work. They're just doing something.
- 11:45Yeah. Nobody really is focused on the
- 11:46parents, and so the dad dying and the parents dying in a fire
- 11:51has to impact our main character in some way.
- 11:54Yeah. And so you know, is what it is.
- 11:57I don't like it so now we know he's there.
- 12:02Shout out to them actually docking the racist.
- 12:04Guy, yes, that was. Great.
- 12:07That was great because obviously we're set in the 60s.
- 12:10He's a Sergeant. He's high, he's a commander or
- 12:14something around, I'm not sure he's.
- 12:15Like up there. So obviously we're going to deal
- 12:18with all the those issues as well.
- 12:20But yeah, actually punishing him, I wasn't expecting that.
- 12:25I thought it was going to be like a this is a beef, right?
- 12:28That's going to go unchecked for the rest of the series.
- 12:31Yeah, he's going to have to check it himself though,
- 12:32clearly. Yeah, because I know he was.
- 12:35He was the guy in the mask. For sure he was in there trying
- 12:38to beat him up and and get the because I don't think he really
- 12:41wanted the plans for whatever this B52 thing is that they're
- 12:45focused on. I think he wanted to be able to
- 12:47say that he gave up the plan. The plans.
- 12:50Yeah, and it's like, oh, so he's this big shot, but he's giving
- 12:53away these plans and so that. Didn't work.
- 12:56Sure didn't. Because his little buddy, his
- 12:58little, yeah, his little guy came running in little.
- 13:00He's solid. He's going to die.
- 13:04Yes, you know he's going to die. He's going to die.
- 13:06Apparently all the people we like are going to die, so he's
- 13:08he's gone. All right, bye.
- 13:11Bye. It was named Russo, I think so.
- 13:13Bye, Guy. Bye.
- 13:14We like you, but. But Pennywise, he's already
- 13:18started screwing with these damn kids, right?
- 13:20Which? We haven't even seen.
- 13:21Him. We haven't seen him.
- 13:22We saw his fingers come up through the Those were his
- 13:26fingers. I thought they were little child
- 13:27fingers. Were they child fingers?
- 13:29Yeah, I wasn't focused on that. I was just like, there's
- 13:31somebody in the pipes, somebody's messing with Lily in
- 13:37the pipes or singing a song to a musical.
- 13:39And then Teddy learns about what happened to his ancestors, that
- 13:45their skin was being used for lampshades.
- 13:47And then Pennywise does that to him in his.
- 13:49Room valid crash out. Yeah, I was like.
- 13:53Oh my God. I'd be screaming underneath my
- 13:55table too. You see all the the little seams
- 14:00in the in? The head and it was the stitches
- 14:02over the thing. Horrifying new fear unlocked.
- 14:06But he will always take the things that you don't even have
- 14:08to verbalize that you're afraid of them.
- 14:10And it's like how he's gotten in their heads and he knows they're
- 14:13afraid of these things. Yeah, that's really unfair,
- 14:15right? Formancy needs children, Yeah,
- 14:18like there's no. Escape my OP can get in my head.
- 14:22That seems unfair. Not the OP.
- 14:28He is my OP. He's everybody's OP.
- 14:30If you're a child, clearly, clearly right.
- 14:33And then so they come together. They what his name?
- 14:36Phil has his little sister because he has to have her.
- 14:41He has to babysit her or whatever.
- 14:43They just needed a babysitter. Yes, they needed a babysitter.
- 14:47And they go to the library and the first thing I said, I was
- 14:51like, don't go in the basement. Am I thinking about the same
- 14:52movie that something happened in the basement?
- 14:54Because Ben. Yeah, yes.
- 14:58He went in the basement and he got tormented and chased down by
- 15:01a leper. A leper, The little.
- 15:05I remember, I remember the little bubbly pop thingies you.
- 15:08Know Eddie's favorite? He said look be carried, same
- 15:15carried cuz all the thing that's the thing with the movies and
- 15:18with now this TV show. The special effects are great.
- 15:22The practical effects are great. The makeup is fantastic because
- 15:25I felt every single one of the things, even though they weren't
- 15:29necessarily my worst fears, right.
- 15:31I was like valid, valid. I'm running away from the bubble
- 15:33face guy too. I'd be yeah, yeah.
- 15:35I don't like it, you know? And it sucks when these kids and
- 15:40their fears start to intertwine because why was Ben getting
- 15:43chased by a leper? That's Eddie's.
- 15:45Fear, exactly, but they were. Talking, and he knows, and now
- 15:48they're all just fears jumbled up together and you're being
- 15:52tormented. Maybe because they were
- 15:54connected, they were friends and they were kind of sharing
- 15:57because didn't they share their fears at some point?
- 16:00They did, did they? I feel like they were camping or
- 16:04something and then they shared their fears.
- 16:06They were at the. Quarry, weren't they?
- 16:07I believe, Yeah, they're getting all personal.
- 16:11It's been a while since I watched the movie, Don't come
- 16:12from me if I got it wrong, but I feel like there's a connection
- 16:16and that's maybe why they were intertwining.
- 16:17Right. Yeah, yeah.
- 16:19But they're in the library. They're looking at the biggest
- 16:21microfiche machine I've ever seen in my life.
- 16:24That's what it's called, yes. I was like this big thing on the
- 16:28counter is taking up all this space.
- 16:30I've already said once today, go ahead and bury me because she
- 16:33said something that made me feel extremely old.
- 16:35But yes, there is a microfiche machine.
- 16:38It had all of the newspapers in there, so people didn't have to
- 16:41keep just like stacks of newspapers.
- 16:43They would scan them. Smart.
- 16:44Yeah. And then you can find.
- 16:46So they did that. It LED them to Ronnie and Ronnie
- 16:52told them what happened at the movie.
- 16:53Theater, right? And she was hearing voices and
- 16:56sing songy and the pipes as well.
- 16:58Yes. And then she remember, she
- 17:00recognized the song, took him to the movie theater at night.
- 17:03Yeah. Why?
- 17:05Everything is at night. My goodness.
- 17:07Because this is horror. It has to be a.
- 17:08Daytime. Please, we need daytime.
- 17:10Activities. I know bad things happen in the
- 17:11daytime, but it makes you feel better.
- 17:14Yes, agreed, Agreed. Right.
- 17:17So they go in there, they sit down, they're watching this
- 17:19musical, which you were like, this is a bop.
- 17:22No. It was kind of slapping though,
- 17:24wasn't it? It was kind of eating.
- 17:27I was like, wait, OK. You're like.
- 17:29Because he kind of broke it up and it was like 2 count and then
- 17:31he went to an 8 count and I was like, OK, it was kind of eating.
- 17:37It was. It was.
- 17:39See, you're a secret musical lover.
- 17:42Secret I love. Music.
- 17:44And he kind of ate with that. Musicals, Musicals.
- 17:47Yes. See yes.
- 17:50Let's not put that out there. I'm.
- 17:51Putting it out there because I like a musical.
- 17:53Man in the Heights. In the Heights.
- 17:57Probably my favorite right now. I grew up on A Chorus Line and
- 18:00to this day I can still quote the entire movie.
- 18:03Is that right? The entire thing.
- 18:05I'm going to put you on a spot. You should, I mean we should
- 18:07pull it up one day. I think I tried to show you and
- 18:09your sister. No, you did Chorus Line, didn't
- 18:11you? Yeah, you guys are like, this is
- 18:13so boring. Did we?
- 18:15Yeah, you guys were pretty young.
- 18:16But no, we you were not failing it.
- 18:19Well. Yes, but anyway, sorry, right?
- 18:24They play this musical and then it starts to change and you see
- 18:27Maddie holding a baby and then the family from the car, we're
- 18:33standing behind him and it just kind of zooms in on him and he's
- 18:36calling their names and he's walking towards the camera and
- 18:40then the baby jumps out and it's the demon baby baby.
- 18:43But it's. Huge.
- 18:45It's bigger. And so my theory and please
- 18:48people could probably be like, well, duh, of course that's
- 18:51what's happening. But I feel like he gets bigger
- 18:54because this is the beginning of Pennywise for sure.
- 18:57And he gets bigger once he eats more children.
- 19:00Yeah. And so he eats their fears.
- 19:02Yeah, he eats their. Fears exactly like I can.
- 19:04Smell your fear, whatever he said in the original movie.
- 19:07Right. And so this demon baby obviously
- 19:09is going to turn into Pennywise, but he's bigger because he's
- 19:13already fed on Maddie. Maddie provided all that.
- 19:18Maddie had a lot of fears. He seemed a little.
- 19:22Scary. Don't be fearful.
- 19:26So how big do you think he's going to be after eating
- 19:27everybody in the? Theater.
- 19:29Huge. Absolutely huge.
- 19:32Oh my goodness. But has he's not going to have
- 19:34his hair. Yet you know.
- 19:37He's so he's just going to be bigger and gross.
- 19:40And gross. That's saying that the baby is
- 19:43Pennywise. That is saying that.
- 19:45Because I know in the what is it the second movie, The second
- 19:50movie, Chapter 2 Beth Beth, Beth Beth.
- 19:55Beth maybe. Maybe whatever her name is,
- 19:57yeah. I'm blanking on her name.
- 20:00I think it's Beth. Beth.
- 20:01Yeah. Ben, Ben Beth.
- 20:03Something like that. She goes to her old apartment
- 20:07and she meets this woman and this woman's like, Oh yeah, My
- 20:10dad, I think, used to. Run, Yeah.
- 20:14So I thought he was like a normal person and he got blown
- 20:17away into the sewers and became Pennywise, if that's a real
- 20:23story. Yeah, if that's a real story.
- 20:25But that makes sense. And so he's down in the sewers
- 20:28or he's because Pennywise is an alien, right?
- 20:33Yes, I think. And so if he's coming here in
- 20:37this form and he has to grow from that, like he was birthed
- 20:42through this thing that he created because the family
- 20:45wasn't real. They were, you know, they were
- 20:48figments of Maddie's imagination through Pennywise.
- 20:51And so is that how he came like more?
- 20:54Fear more? Fear.
- 20:55Right Exactly. And then you.
- 20:57Will that make sense? Be birthed that way.
- 21:00Yeah, that's creepy. So his original form.
- 21:03Was his baby originally human and then baby?
- 21:07Then baby. Yeah.
- 21:09And then he chose a clown because he figured that's an
- 21:11easier way to get children. Clowns are scary as fuck.
- 21:15Really. I don't like clowns.
- 21:16I don't mind clowns. I don't think they're scary.
- 21:19I also don't think they're like the craziest, like most friendly
- 21:22thing ever. I think they're just like
- 21:24they're there. They're not funny, I just don't
- 21:28know what it is about them, but they are creepy to me.
- 21:32Really. Yeah.
- 21:32I don't know what it is, the makeup, the big shoes, the nose,
- 21:35the hair, like the clothes. Just pick it the way they talk.
- 21:37Oh, like I don't like it. Right.
- 21:42Not so. No one should like hanging
- 21:44around kids that much. She said what she.
- 21:49Said suspect. Suspect.
- 21:52Exactly. And.
- 21:54So, you know, he, he kills all these kids, which shocks the
- 21:57hell out of us. Oh.
- 21:58My goodness, tell me why he got yeated on the the the screen and
- 22:02you see his face and he's like. What?
- 22:05Yeah. I thought maybe they'd get away.
- 22:07Maybe they'd get hurt. Yeah, for sure.
- 22:08No, but he ate them all. And then he made it very clear
- 22:12that the little sister got killed too, because she was
- 22:15there and he got drug away. And then she's holding her hand
- 22:18later. And so then we go from all of
- 22:21these kids who are on the poster main characters to now we just
- 22:25have these two girls, like these two girls and Leroy.
- 22:29Leroy and his family. I'm assuming his family is gonna
- 22:34get introduced later on. I would assume so.
- 22:36We need a bigger cast than this. We do.
- 22:38And maybe there'll be more children.
- 22:40Maybe we'll do a time jump. Maybe we'll see them as adults.
- 22:43Like, I have no idea what's gonna happen.
- 22:45And I kind of love that. Yeah.
- 22:47Because I hate when I can guess what's going to happen.
- 22:51It doesn't ruin this the the moment for me.
- 22:54But then I'm just like, OK, well, then go ahead and happen,
- 22:56right? But now I'm just, I'm a viewer.
- 22:59Yeah, I'm being entertained. I'm just, I'm so excited to sit
- 23:02down and watch this next episode because me too.
- 23:04I'm just like, I don't know. Like where are we now?
- 23:07They completely ruined all of our expectations.
- 23:09So like, where are we going from here exactly?
- 23:12Love it. Exactly me too.
- 23:14Love it. Me too, I love it.
- 23:16So we're in for this. We will probably do more
- 23:20episodes, maybe if a big thing happens or something, because I
- 23:24can really tell that there's going to be more shocking
- 23:26moments. Oh, for sure.
- 23:27Because they set the tone like if you're going to murder 1000
- 23:30kids in the first episode, then OK, anyone can get it.
- 23:34Free run. We're good, you know.
- 23:38And I'm all for that. You know when I write stuff,
- 23:40kids can get it. Cruel.
- 23:43So cruel. I mean, it is what it is.
- 23:48I wouldn't actually hurt anybody.
- 23:50You do know that, right? Maybe.
- 23:53No, I'm kidding. I know that.
- 23:54I know that she put it, I know that.
- 24:00But honestly, I think the only thing that could make it any
- 24:03more shock is if they start hurting animals.
- 24:08Well. Because, I mean, we got adults
- 24:10dying, we got kids dying, we got like this town.
- 24:13Yeah, it's just like, there's certain rules, though, in
- 24:15storytelling. Like, it's really hard to, like,
- 24:19capture people if you hurt animals.
- 24:21Like, clearly you can kill all the children you want and all
- 24:24the adults you want, but if you hurt a dog, people be like,
- 24:27there's actually a website out there I think that says, does
- 24:29the dog die? And so you can research ahead of
- 24:33watching something, whether an animal is hurt before you watch,
- 24:36because people just don't want to see that, really.
- 24:39Yeah, don't watch I am Legend then.
- 24:43Or John Wick. But John Wick was like, yeah.
- 24:47But that was so. Evil it was.
- 24:50I cried. Hear the little the yelps of
- 24:52the. Screams when he was kicking.
- 24:54The dog don't don't do it. So but that led to 4 movies or
- 24:59five movies. True, because you hurt his dog.
- 25:02And so that's justifiable. Like yes, there's a reason why
- 25:05he did this. It wasn't his wife, it was the
- 25:07dog. It was the dog, right?
- 25:09And so, like you said, I am legend for Samantha.
- 25:12Yeah, she went, but you can't really hurt animals.
- 25:15And so, like, there's just more children, I guess.
- 25:19Line them up. What line them?
- 25:24Up is crazy work. OK, so did you have a take away?
- 25:29Honestly, my take away is go further.
- 25:33You know, I think people who like horror, they like horror
- 25:36for all the things that horror has to offer.
- 25:38If you don't like horror, honestly just don't, right?
- 25:41You know what I mean? It's OK.
- 25:43You don't have to be like, I like certain types of horror.
- 25:45Just say yes or no because this horror is like diving all the
- 25:49way in. It's rated R We're seeing all
- 25:52the blood, all of it. Yeah.
- 25:53And I think that's OK, you know, for people.
- 25:55Who like horror, Yeah. You know, like, if you like it,
- 25:58dive all the way in. Yeah, done it.
- 26:01Don't have your? Foot in, yeah.
- 26:03No, no. Just do it cuz people are gonna
- 26:05appreciate it. Also, people are gonna like hate
- 26:07it. I get it.
- 26:08Yeah, but some people are gonna really like it.
- 26:11Right, cuz there's a reason. And it's not like we're like pro
- 26:14hurting children. What it is is this is the book
- 26:17and this was in Stephen King's mind when he wrote the book.
- 26:20I don't know what was going on that he wrote a clown that feeds
- 26:25off of children. And so this is just following
- 26:28the book. It's not like it just came out
- 26:29of nowhere. Right, it's all good.
- 26:31Yeah, yeah. But I'm really excited to see
- 26:33where it goes. Me too.
- 26:35If y'all have fan theories or if you actually read the book and
- 26:38remember the book and like have some insight please drop it cuz
- 26:42I want the Nuggets. Right.
- 26:43I guess all of that. I need the Nuggets.
- 26:45Fan theories are already out there, I was reading them all.
- 26:48That really Did you read anything that you liked or that
- 26:50you remember? No, it wasn't anything that was
- 26:52like huge. It was just kind of like there
- 26:55was one guy who kind of went off centered and it was very
- 26:57spiritual with the way that he referenced the things.
- 27:01And The thing is, it's not about right or wrong or whether I
- 27:04agree or don't agree. I just love that there's things
- 27:07out there. There's content out there that
- 27:09people are excited to create theories about who want to sit
- 27:13down and actually be like, where is this going?
- 27:16What does this mean? Right.
- 27:17It was a lot of Easter eggs, apparently, if you're very
- 27:19familiar with the book, really. I saw a couple of videos and so.
- 27:22Yeah, really. Yeah.
- 27:24So I just love that we have something new for the people who
- 27:28like this kind of genre to be able to dive into, for sure.
- 27:31Yeah, so I think they HBOI know it's already made and
- 27:35everything, but if you're thinking of like a spin off or
- 27:38like a season 2 or whatever, ignore all the negative comments
- 27:41and the negative reviews because it really just comes down to
- 27:44people who like horror and they don't like horror because you're
- 27:46going in either biased or unbiased.
- 27:48Very true. Because if people just don't
- 27:49like horror and they're like, oh, I hate horror.
- 27:51So it's like, all right. I don't watch it, but you know,
- 27:53people are going to watch it and they're going to have some bad
- 27:55reviews. And it's like, I get it.
- 27:57But this thing is this thing that's been built by this guy
- 28:01who has 1000 books, and all of them are a little bit dark,
- 28:05whether they're, you know, you know, Yes.
- 28:09So if you see his name on something, don't be surprised if
- 28:11you have that shock value. That's all I'm saying.
- 28:15Absolutely. You know, But yeah, I'm excited.
- 28:17Me too, my take away let me not forget.
- 28:21OK, so this is just inspired by the author Stephen King, because
- 28:24clearly he was going through something when he wrote this and
- 28:26that's F them kids Dang, because I feel like that was rolling
- 28:32through his head when he wrote the what?
- 28:34Because what? This kid is 10.
- 28:36Thousand word you know page novel about this like what was
- 28:39going. On sanity, yeah.
- 28:41But I dig it. Thanks for giving it to us.
- 28:46I love it all right, y'all. Peace, Deuces.
