- 0:004 all move kind of quickly. They're all the same theme,
- 0:04which is the need for some Kha and mitzah to feel a joy to
- 0:08enjoy all they're doing in this foot.
- 0:10The next level of love about Hashem.
- 0:14Page 395 very important. And of course that idea of some
- 0:19value to emphasize also is endless.
- 0:21We mentioned and clarified hopefully yesterday, which is
- 0:24that a person should feel like I am doing and living my purpose
- 0:28when I am so high. I heard a quote yesterday rented
- 0:31and that quote was there's no greater pain for certain people
- 0:36and feeling like you're not living life's purpose.
- 0:38I don't know where it came from. It sounds like it's my apostle.
- 0:40Go somewhere. The hardest thing in life is you
- 0:44feel like you're not living your purpose.
- 0:46It's a very vague statement, very gentle as someone could
- 0:49define it the way they want. But on the other hand, when you
- 0:52feel like you are living your purpose and flip side's
- 0:54important for us, you feel like you are living a life of
- 0:57meaning. All living purpose is all
- 0:58greater feeling, even if it's a spiritual purpose, even if it's
- 1:02son that's, you know, top part of not part of the regular
- 1:05structure of life. If you feel like you're doing
- 1:07something of meaning, that gives you a great level of joy.
- 1:09Now the next level of avant of love of a champion is not joy.
- 1:15Another display of love. This is very important.
- 1:19This may sound strong. It's kinna.
- 1:22Well, it's kinna, can I mean jealously?
- 1:24But here it means the English word zealousness.
- 1:29To be zealous, that means to be zealous.
- 1:33That means if something bothers you, no, if something you hear
- 1:39is anti Hashem in the world, something comes up in anti
- 1:43Hashem. We're not supposed to feel bad
- 1:45about it. We are actually supposed to be
- 1:48angry about. I'll give you multiple examples.
- 1:51I'll play it out when you hear a law as anti the Jewish way, when
- 1:56you hear you see something public, it's a moral heaven is
- 2:00old when you hear exactly when you see someone say a common
- 2:04like the world is 2 and a half million years old.
- 2:06All these things. This is the bother you bother
- 2:08me. I don't get bothered.
- 2:09I'm a nice guy, I'm an easy guy. What is this made-up?
- 2:14What you think about this trait is very important is that this
- 2:20trait includes and shows all things that you think are bad.
- 2:25It shows anger, it shows upset, it shows frustration.
- 2:30It shows all those different traits which we normally say
- 2:34shouldn't exist. We shouldn't have it.
- 2:36It's the one area in Judaism, I think literally the only one,
- 2:41where the bad traits are supposed to show themselves.
- 2:45What do I mean? Example, Classic example, Pincus
- 2:49or you can't even. We gave you one halacha today,
- 2:51we'll give you another one. Pincus Pechas Benazzar Benadron
- 2:56Acquain. He's so in a more immoral left
- 3:00between a leader and a non Jewish woman and he got up and
- 3:05he killed the two of them. As a zealot, as a man with this
- 3:10me dog, I normally one would say that is a sign of anger.
- 3:14That was a sign of frustration as a sign of emotion.
- 3:18And the reality we're trying to show you is no, it is true that
- 3:22you are reflecting it with anger.
- 3:24What it really is. It's a sign that you care.
- 3:27The whole idea. This means Ivy dies.
- 3:29Do you care or are you in different Classic example of a
- 3:34parent sees another mother yelling at your child.
- 3:39What do you do? You see a mother yelling at your
- 3:42child. You're a nice person.
- 3:43You defend each other. You're a nice person.
- 3:46You're a soft person. You never get angry, but
- 3:48someone's yelling at my child. But get her.
- 3:50I'm a different why? Because I care about a nice
- 3:53person, but here I can't bother me.
- 3:55Someone insults your wife in front of you, You're not happy
- 4:02someone that's right, because you care.
- 4:04But in general, you're indifferent to these things.
- 4:06You don't really care about these things, but when it hurts,
- 4:08you should defend. You care.
- 4:09So you should see some level of defense needs to be hacked.
- 4:12But the natural reaction is that you care when someone, they'll
- 4:17just be put a similar concept, insults God's way.
- 4:22You care. If you care, you react.
- 4:26So when you heard about some of the laws of marriage becoming
- 4:30normal in America years ago, it bothered you.
- 4:34It bothers you deeply. It bothers you because you're
- 4:36children in your office of the world.
- 4:37But more than that, it bothers you because you care about
- 4:41Hashem's way being part of the norm.
- 4:44When you hear all these liberal concepts becoming part of the
- 4:48mainstream will be out there or being spoken about, it pained
- 4:51you not simply because it's against your thoughts, because
- 4:55really you're you're defended, you're zealous about this.
- 4:59You're angry about this because you care.
- 5:01And a person has to be a person who actually gets angry, gets
- 5:07disturbed when there are ideas being publicized.
- 5:11And our guys this way, just being a guy who's Mr. Nice Guy
- 5:14is a beautiful thing every other area of life, but there are
- 5:17times there's No 2. Choose to have the same outlook
- 5:19on anything. Good.
- 5:20So it's simpler when there are things that are cut and joy,
- 5:24it's grayer, Gray area when there are all these
- 5:27controversial issues and yes, I can't cover it on any of them.
- 5:32All those ones that are going on Israel today, between the two
- 5:36sides, all the ones that are Gray areas, many ray areas,
- 5:40something's happened in the community where people make big
- 5:43stinks about things. All those areas.
- 5:47The starting point is they need to come from a good place, you
- 5:50know, the overall ideas. They need to develop a level of
- 5:54care and just say to yourself, I'm indifferent of these things,
- 5:58about these things. I don't ever react.
- 6:00Abouk, you don't ever react. But if let's say Haji Shalom
- 6:04reform took over a big footprint of people around here, you'd
- 6:10react, all right. If someone came in an ideology
- 6:13into the schools that was and I thought you thought was correct,
- 6:18you react right. If someone change how we do our
- 6:23weddings, you react. If someone change how our
- 6:26schooling is run, you'd be upset if someone change how our school
- 6:31systems are going to frustrate you.
- 6:33All these ideas are implication and revealing the fact that you
- 6:39care, and it's important to know that I care about in this way
- 6:42and I have kidna. I have zealotry of zealous when
- 6:48it comes to this area in general.
- 6:50I'm a nice guy in this area. I get fresher and I get angry
- 6:53and it's a point to be. That way, but you get angry.
- 6:55That's the problem there. Yeah, and you're allowed to.
- 6:58You're allowed to. You're supposed to.
- 7:00If it's something, if you heard about the laws of marriage being
- 7:04changed in America in 2008 or whatever it was 2910, if you
- 7:08didn't get angry, it's because you don't care.
- 7:11You're supposed to get angry, and that doesn't mean you can do
- 7:13anything about it. But getting angry is already
- 7:16half the positive battle in the eyes of God.
- 7:19Why go one level deeper? The concept is a kabochamaya
- 7:26should be a front and center of our mind.
- 7:29Kabochamaya. And when something like that
- 7:32happens and you don't care, it means I don't really care about
- 7:36kabochamaya. That's a big problem.
- 7:38I need to be in defence of Kabochamaya.
- 7:42Now you see yourself. How often in my life do these
- 7:44things come up? They come up all the time.
- 7:47Every time someone makes a move in the community that bothers
- 7:50you, every time the wrong person stands at the helm of an
- 7:54institution, every time you hear something public about someone
- 7:59so doing something I all these things bother you and make sure
- 8:04of this. Make sure they continue to
- 8:06bother you. The fact that we're in this nice
- 8:08cozy, everyone gets a long world should not allow, but this need
- 8:14not to go away. You need to be bothered, you
- 8:17need to protest and you definitely need to tell your
- 8:19family about the fact I did not approve of that activity.
- 8:23Now a general shall love is paramount, shall love is #1
- 8:29getting along, being soft spoken, being happy, happy,
- 8:33frustrated, not get angry in every other area of life and
- 8:37correct, correct, correct this one.
- 8:40Stand up. But is it to get angry?
- 8:42To teach your own family? Like knows you can't control the
- 8:44world to control your own family.
- 8:45No, it's both. It's get angry to have an
- 8:48opinion and it's also get angry to to tell your family you have
- 8:52to have an opinion. Why?
- 8:54Because God cares and God is that son over there who feels
- 8:59hurt when someone is doing something against this cover
- 9:03under the law or someone openly doing something in the community
- 9:05that's wrong. God is hurt and if we don't
- 9:08care, God is even more hurt. But if we do care and we can't
- 9:12do anything about it, but God is happier.
- 9:15It's literally like that. Standing up the Cavocha Mayim is
- 9:19paramount and you saw something I don't want to give any
- 9:23examples much out of this power to have the community, but if
- 9:26you saw something that bothered you right, You know the
- 9:32something that bothered you something that according to your
- 9:34upbringing is wrong. Something going to your
- 9:37knowledge of Torah is I am correct.
- 9:40You saw it, you watch it If you just go in here my way.
- 9:44Couple things are happening. As David mentioned, your
- 9:47children are watching you and they're saying if you don't
- 9:49care, we don't care if we don't care no norm Part 1 Part 2 God
- 9:56is watching you and God is saying if you don't care, that
- 10:00means you don't care about me. If you don't care, that means
- 10:03you're not defending my honor. I thought a Jew is here for his
- 10:08sake of what's your mind? Where's he going?
- 10:11That's the idea. So yes, in this one area, we
- 10:15should be strong, we should be angry, we should be frustrated,
- 10:20we should, we should protest, we should even lash out in this one
- 10:26area. Now, it might be once or twice
- 10:29in your life, right? Once or twice in your life, if
- 10:32you know of someone who is publicizing that X kind of
- 10:36marriage is OK. All right, look, I'll give you
- 10:40that easy example. And year or so ago someone told
- 10:43me that is a kid, you know, community all over Instagram,
- 10:48one of those type of things. And there's a keeper.
- 10:51He's wearing a keeper. And people even went all right,
- 10:54either boys told me, this young guy told me this, I got angry
- 10:58and men, I got angry and I said that's a disgusting thing and
- 11:02that person's a terrible person. I said all those languages I
- 11:05never ever used, they were surprised.
- 11:08I said if I don't stand my ground, something, if I have any
- 11:11principle, what am I worth? If the fact that I'm OK with
- 11:14everything, if you OK certain things, then the Jewish people
- 11:18will change. That's a reality if we accept
- 11:21it. You know, someone brought up the
- 11:23edict downstairs and we didn't have an edict.
- 11:25Our community would have changed and we ought to have the modern
- 11:30day unwritten edict which is basically everyone's acceptance
- 11:34of certain norms and not allowing certain people to come
- 11:38into our fold. And we didn't have the modern
- 11:40day version. Then the community would have
- 11:42changed too. The world is changing.
- 11:44Why costume would not happen to us.
- 11:46Don't want anything standing in the way of this is shame.
- 11:50Shocking point. That's the mothers.
- 11:52It's the mothers and it's a shame.
- 11:54It's the embarrassment of evil feeling.
- 11:56I am going to be shunned. I'm out.
- 11:59They won't accept me. Why would they accept him?
- 12:01They won't accept him because they don't accept the ways
- 12:04against God. And that has to be public.
- 12:07That has to be known and has to be expected that there will be a
- 12:11reaction that knows who to get away with.
- 12:14If there's no such expectation, people will do the things that
- 12:17are wrong. That's just a reality of life.
- 12:20No one does something wrong because they want to.
- 12:22They do it because they're pressures.
- 12:23They do it cause temptation. They do it because they're out
- 12:25there in the world and they need something holding them back.
- 12:29The only thing holding people back reality strongest the
- 12:33turret is shame. Jail and shame baby.
- 12:36That's it. So we need to have shame front
- 12:40and foremost, first and foremost.
- 12:42You know, you and I can't just decide whether we're going to
- 12:44shame people. You can't shame a guy for having
- 12:46a Mercedes and you can't shame a guy for having a house in the
- 12:48ocean and you can't shame people for spending money.
- 12:51You got to pick and choose and it's got to be once and twice in
- 12:53your life, but it's got to be there.
- 12:55It has to be something you stay on your ground.
- 12:59And you and I raise our families.
- 13:01This has to be clear. Maybe our kids never even need
- 13:04to know. Michelle don't even need to
- 13:06know. They don't even need to see the
- 13:08conversation. But it has to be.
- 13:10You have a light and you will not allow anyone around you to
- 13:14cross. And if they cross, it gone out,
- 13:18out of bounds. I'll see you later.
- 13:20It has to be if that comes from a sense and a feeling of
- 13:25Kabochumai. I care about God.
- 13:28I'm lost about God. Divea medak #1.
- 13:31Most positive, loving, caring person out there.
- 13:35And he said these words to bring the pasuka at the bottom.
- 13:38We'll close this. Hello, Miss Aneka Shen Esna.
- 13:41The people who hate you. God, I hate that, and the people
- 13:49who rise up and I fight with the people who rise up against you,
- 13:53those who rebelled against Hashem, they're out of my book.
- 13:57They're gone. I'll see them later.
- 13:59I hate them. Whoever used the language hate
- 14:02You don't use the language hate normally, but you do
- 14:04unaccompositors. 3 or 4 examples that we can think of of cases
- 14:10that are extreme. We have to have a line by
- 14:13ourselves. Foul family.
- 14:17That's the God's honor. That's the idea.
- 14:18Stop with this.
