- 0:00That is not allowed on the show. What?
- 0:04So you make a list of everyone you want to work with, right?
- 0:06And then now they're starting to manifest right before your eyes.
- 0:09I know. Did you always imagine when you
- 0:10were making this list? Did you imagine it as a solo
- 0:12artist or did you imagine it in a girl group?
- 0:14It was mostly solo but like looking back I'm so glad that I
- 0:19ended up being a girl group. Hello Besties and welcome back
- 0:37to another episode, Lulu of Delulu with Ryan Liu.
- 0:41We have a very exciting guest joining us today.
- 0:43She is one of my favorite artists ever and I'm genuinely
- 0:46so pumped that she is joining us in the Delulu studios.
- 0:49She is a multi faceted artist. She is a performer, songwriter,
- 0:53dancer, actor, girl, what can you not do?
- 0:55She's also really good at directions, which we learned as
- 0:57she was on her way here, which is very impressive, especially
- 1:00in LA. And she is one of the original
- 1:02members of the iconic girl group GRL, and you might recognize
- 1:07them from their big hits such as Ugly Heart, Wild Wild Love,
- 1:10Featuring Pitbull, and Vacation. Of course.
- 1:14She's performed on stages all around the world and worked with
- 1:17legendary producers such as Max Martin.
- 1:19And now she's stepping into a new era as a solo artist,
- 1:22holistic healer, and a lip print reader.
- 1:25Please welcome my manifestation icon bestie Lulu Natasha Sladen.
- 1:30Hi. Natasha, thank you for joining
- 1:32us today. I'm so excited to talk to.
- 1:34You. I'm so proud of you for all of
- 1:35this and thank you so much for having me.
- 1:37What an honor. That was such a nice intro.
- 1:40We're gonna get into so much more of your accomplishments
- 1:42'cause there's so much of it to get into, and I'm just excited
- 1:44that year. I love hanging out with you.
- 1:45I love hanging out with you too. I love.
- 1:47Hanging out with you and I feel so comfortable and I feel good.
- 1:49And we have our do. Lulu Bears.
- 1:51They're so cute. On Little comfort to Lulu bears.
- 1:53They're so cute. She named hers Lulu.
- 1:56I did. Okay and then I guess mines
- 1:58bright Lulu because he's he's also a boy one I guess.
- 2:01Now I thought you were going to. Meet I was but then a girl I
- 2:04know. But then Brett did the whole
- 2:05thing about the the bear being a boy and I was like, you know
- 2:07what? Yeah, we'll we'll name it after
- 2:08Brett. So this is Brett Lulu.
- 2:10Yeah, this is. Just Lulu, but he's a boy too,
- 2:13OK? Well, we love both of them.
- 2:15Well, Natasha, I like I said with your introduction there,
- 2:18you have done so much and you're so multifaceted.
- 2:21There's so many different sides to you.
- 2:23So where did it all begin with you?
- 2:26Because like I said, you're a singer, you're a songwriter,
- 2:28you're a dancer, you're an actor, and you did child acting.
- 2:31Too. I did.
- 2:32I did. I acted when I was growing up.
- 2:34I begged my parents to get into the business, actually.
- 2:37So as a Leo and only child, as a Leo and only child, I very much
- 2:43came out just wanting to perform.
- 2:45Performing. Yeah.
- 2:45So singing, dancing, acting, all the things right off the bat and
- 2:50grew up, you know, in dance classes, singing classes, music
- 2:53classes, all the things. And then, yeah, I begged my
- 2:56parents to get into the business.
- 2:58As soon as Buffy the Vampire Slayer came out.
- 3:00I was like, this is non negotiable.
- 3:01I have to do this right now too. Started really young, very
- 3:05young. I felt, it's funny because I
- 3:07felt like an old soul. Oh.
- 3:09My gosh, you're. And and even when I was 8 years
- 3:12old, I was like man, if I'm not successful successful before I
- 3:15turn double digits, then I am a failure.
- 3:18That is crazy. You're talking 10 years old.
- 3:21I'm not as successful at 10. It was the strong anxiety that I
- 3:24had you. Put a lot of pressure on
- 3:25yourself from like the get go. From the get go, yeah.
- 3:27And I'm finally just undoing a lot of that pressure and
- 3:30learning to be more in the flow. But yeah, yeah.
- 3:33I mean, it's a lifelong process to like move through that and
- 3:35get over that too. Especially like starting off
- 3:38knowing what you want so strongly and then having to
- 3:40adapt with life and. Absolutely life.
- 3:42Be life, Absolutely. So you started child acting and
- 3:46I remember that you mentioned before that you started very,
- 3:49very young and you were taken out of it.
- 3:50And then, like you said, you begged your parents to get back
- 3:53into. It you have such a good memory,
- 3:54Yeah. And it's actually a really cool
- 3:55manifestation story if you want me to tell.
- 3:56A little bit about that. I love that.
- 3:58To hear it guys, probably my first remembered experience with
- 4:01extreme manifestation. So yeah, like 2 years old, my
- 4:05parents had put me into commercial auditions.
- 4:10They got me an agent, but they felt really bad.
- 4:13They were never stage parents. And so I was scared.
- 4:15I didn't know what was going on. And so I'd get all these call
- 4:17backs, but they were like, OK, listen, she's a total ham.
- 4:19She's made for this, but she's not comfortable.
- 4:21We have to take her out. So that was really sweet.
- 4:24Yeah. And so they took me out of it.
- 4:26And then like I said, when I was like 8 years old, I got this an
- 4:31extreme wave of undeniable passion just knowing that I had
- 4:36to be in this business. And she begged and begged and
- 4:38begged. Yeah, absolutely.
- 4:39And my parents were not wanting to put me in the business, you
- 4:42know, cuz at that time I didn't know like all of the things that
- 4:44can happen with child actors and like all of the, you know,
- 4:48potentially. Young It was just fun and like
- 4:50exciting for you and you really wanted to do it.
- 4:51Yeah, I just wanted to act. Absolutely.
- 4:53So one day I was actually over at a friend's house and her
- 4:57brother, her little brother was an actor.
- 5:00And so my mom was coming to pick me up and we had a very distinct
- 5:03name. Her name's Teddy.
- 5:04And when she walked in the door to pick me up, her mom had been
- 5:08on the phone with the agent of the of the little boy.
- 5:12And she said, oh, hi, Teddy. And they were like, wait a
- 5:15minute, Is that Natasha Slayton's mom?
- 5:17And I don't know how they knew that because they had no idea
- 5:20that I was there. And it was the agent that I'd
- 5:22had when I was a little girl. So they were like, put her on
- 5:24the phone, put her on the phone. And mind you, I had been begging
- 5:27my parents to get back into acting.
- 5:29And they kind of were like, we don't know, you know, you've
- 5:31been. Out of it for so long at that
- 5:32point. Yeah.
- 5:32Yeah. And they remembered.
- 5:33Absolutely. And so they were like, Oh my
- 5:35gosh, you've got to put Natasha back and acting like we'd love
- 5:37to have her. And so that kind of spiraled the
- 5:39whole thing. And at the same time, what was
- 5:42really interesting is that my dad was on ATV show called the
- 5:45Tom Show. I don't know if that's a
- 5:46necessary detail, but there were two there.
- 5:49I don't even know if it's available because it was that
- 5:51long ago, but there were two little kids on the show. 1 was
- 5:54my age and then one was like 13. And I just wanted to be both of
- 5:57them. And so I'd gone to the set a
- 6:00couple of times with him and he had, I remember it was like
- 6:03stage 42 or 43, I think 42. And he had, you know, a little
- 6:08trailer dressing room. And I would go visit the set
- 6:10with him and he was on a few times.
- 6:11Fast forward to a year later, not only did I book a series,
- 6:15regular TV show, which is crazy, but it was on the exact same
- 6:20sound sound stage. The exact same back lot.
- 6:22So universal. Yeah, and the exact same stage
- 6:25you. Know what?
- 6:26You probably visualized it when you're visiting your dad.
- 6:28Absolutely. Yeah, and you got your own
- 6:29parking spot. Yes, I had my own parking spot.
- 6:31I love your memories. 10 years old.
- 6:33It was, Yeah, which I did not need.
- 6:34But my parents used when they would take me to set.
- 6:37Oh, my God. And it was like this running
- 6:38joke. And when my dad would take me to
- 6:39set, he would run into all these people because he's a, he's a
- 6:41comedian and actor. I did not get this role because
- 6:45of him, but maybe a little help, you know, and.
- 6:48There's nothing wrong with that. Yeah, he like guided me on like
- 6:51OK, you know, here's we can do it this way, we can do it that
- 6:53way and gave me some cuz. Your dad is in the entertainment
- 6:56industry. He was in Comedian.
- 6:58Yes, yeah. Comedian and actor.
- 6:59And so he would come to the set, visit me, and he would run into
- 7:02some of his friends that were shooting other things on the
- 7:04back lot. And they'd be like, hey, Bobby,
- 7:05like, what are you shooting? Yeah, I'm with my daughter.
- 7:09So really really fun times though.
- 7:11That's incredible. And honestly, for you to have
- 7:13your own parking space at 10 years old, I am 28 and I do not
- 7:18have my own designated parking space on my set here.
- 7:21So you're doing so much better than me at 10.
- 7:23You accomplished it pressure, met everything, met like you're
- 7:26doing it well. That's so exciting.
- 7:28And that's when you started kind of like delving into your
- 7:30entertainment career. Yeah.
- 7:32Right. Yeah.
- 7:32So being in the entertainment industry, being so young, but
- 7:35you also had a passion for singing and performing, not just
- 7:39acting, so you looked up to people such as to Spice Girls.
- 7:43For sure of. Course Britney Christina like
- 7:45you loved all the girls, you loved seeing them perform and
- 7:48you also knew you had a talent for singing.
- 7:50Yes, Yeah. And I grew up listening to,
- 7:51like, Blues and Motown and just Rolling Stones and all the
- 7:57things that my dad put me on to, my mom put me on, too.
- 7:59And, you know, that really drove my passion.
- 8:03Yeah. Absolutely, because Natasha is
- 8:06an incredible performer. We actually met in 2019 prior to
- 8:10the pan Demi Lovato was like right before it.
- 8:13She was performing a show here in Lai did not live in LA at the
- 8:15time. And I drove so far to go see her
- 8:19and I saw her and you were so mind blowingly talented and you
- 8:23were so good and it was so amazing and you gave it.
- 8:27It was such a special experience for me.
- 8:28So for context, Lulu besties, I'm a huge, huge, huge, huge,
- 8:32huge Natasha Slaton fan and I've always been a huge Natasha
- 8:34Slaton fan, of course. So me coming out to see you and
- 8:37you being so lovely to me and I was how old was I, 2019 it?
- 8:41Was 2020? I think because it was right
- 8:42before the pandemic. It was right before the
- 8:43pandemic, OK? I think 2020, like right before
- 8:46it hit, right before I remember we talked about it, was like,
- 8:48oh, that's it, because you're going to do more shows.
- 8:50Yes, and I think that's how we bonded too, because as soon as
- 8:52there was lockdown, we were texting each other like, Oh my
- 8:55gosh, can't believe this is going on, right, Isn't it?
- 8:57Crazy. We just saw each other and I
- 8:59think that's what was crazy. I think that was like one of the
- 9:01last things that happened right before everything shut down.
- 9:04When I remember too. It's so interesting.
- 9:06I'm so honored that you're such a fan and like for some of the
- 9:09listeners, I'm sure you guys haven't even heard of GRL and
- 9:11that's totally fine. Well, they're gonna they're
- 9:13gonna hear about it right now. Besties.
- 9:15We're about to stream after this.
- 9:16But you're just always so nice to me.
- 9:18You would DM me the sweetest things you would comment on my
- 9:20post and I just felt the genuine love there.
- 9:22And so there was an immediate connection, not just because you
- 9:25were like love bombing, but in the in the best.
- 9:28Thing I do do that a little. That a bad thing.
- 9:30That's that's a good thing. Love bombing is like when you're
- 9:32intensely like putting on a lot of love and then you like pull
- 9:35it away. Never mind.
- 9:36Well, you're just, you know. Yeah, give you some love.
- 9:38I was consistently loving. Yeah, and it wasn't just because
- 9:41of that, but I immediately felt a kindred spirit in you and just
- 9:43like. Thank you.
- 9:44Thank you for seeing that in me. And honestly, I was like so
- 9:47honored. My journal entries from meeting
- 9:49you and talking to you were always so excited.
- 9:51And you know what? Fun fact, Lulu besties Natasha
- 9:54was one of my first tick tock followers ever and she was.
- 9:57Crazy, you're right. You were you were like 39 or 40
- 10:01and I remember you were being so sweet and excited for me and
- 10:03there's nothing happening on my tick tock at the time.
- 10:05She was just so like she was like, Oh my God, I love your
- 10:08videos and and I was like. I was like, I did, I do.
- 10:11They were so good. Thank you and they were Oh my
- 10:14gosh. And at the time it wasn't even
- 10:15anything I'm doing now or the content I'm doing now and you
- 10:17followed me and I was like that is so sweet because you did not
- 10:19need to and I was just like a fan.
- 10:21It was super sweet and honestly, you're my good luck charm
- 10:24because literally I think I started blowing up.
- 10:27You were blowing up on TikTok too.
- 10:28And then I. Started blowing video.
- 10:30Oh, it went, it went. It went it went it.
- 10:32Went and that's because of you too, because I was like I give
- 10:35up. I don't even want to be posting
- 10:36on TikTok, but I needed to because we were doing the GRL
- 10:38reunion. I think that's right.
- 10:39Oh, wait. Yeah, it was heading there.
- 10:41You guys were about to start it because then it started in 2021,
- 10:43but you were gaining a lot of. Traction.
- 10:45You know you know more than I do about my life.
- 10:48Go ahead. We're.
- 10:48Going to get into all of it. So she was posting on TikTok in
- 10:522020, as most of us were, and she was posting incredible dance
- 10:56videos that she was doing and they were going massively viral.
- 10:58I was, I remember sitting in my parents house on my TikTok
- 11:01refreshing your page and I would text you so excited and you'd be
- 11:05like Natasha, you want up another 2000?
- 11:06I'm like, Oh my God, you're getting there.
- 11:07I was like, you're going to hit 25 K by today.
- 11:09Like I was so excited, excited for you and it was it was really
- 11:12exciting. Genuinely, I was like, yes, it's
- 11:13happening, Everything is working and then you were getting ready
- 11:16for I don't think I think I don't know if discussion started
- 11:19at this point. So this is what we're going to
- 11:20get into the T Lulu with URL later.
- 11:22But yeah, GRL did have another manifestation of mine.
- 11:28But GRL did start another reunion in 2021.
- 11:32And actually I want to take credit for that when I'm going
- 11:34to because I had a manifestation journal, my little Navy blue
- 11:38journal, the little gold stars that I talked about in episode
- 11:411. But in that journal, I just
- 11:43started seriously manifestation, sitting down and manifesting.
- 11:46And it was like my 4th or fifth one I wrote in there.
- 11:49And I was like, I am so thankful GRL reunited and they're like
- 11:53performing again, releasing music.
- 11:54And I really, really wanted it. And this was at the end of 2020.
- 11:58I. Remember you telling me about
- 12:00that too? Yes.
- 12:00Yeah. And then they, they had a
- 12:04formative reunion discussion. It it half manifested and it's
- 12:07still manifesting by the way. Well, you know what's
- 12:09interesting about that is because I think we Co manifested
- 12:11it and I definitely give you a lot of credit for this because
- 12:13you were talking about it and talking about it and I'm like,
- 12:15oh, you're right. Like I want this too.
- 12:17Like this is amazing. And your energy, of course, like
- 12:18when you put something out there, it happens like.
- 12:21They're all reuniting y'all. You heard it here first.
- 12:23It happens and at the same time I had done some work with this,
- 12:27this master healer that I do a lot of work with.
- 12:29Right. And I was telling her how I kind
- 12:32of just wanted to jump timelines.
- 12:34I was like, man, I, you know, until she kind of helped me go
- 12:36from point A to point Z. And I don't know that I actually
- 12:39thought it was going to be GRL related, but I remember I'd kind
- 12:42of thought about GRL that week. And then we had our session.
- 12:46And then all of a sudden, it just so happened that Paula, one
- 12:49of the girls in the girl group, for anyone that doesn't know,
- 12:52was on a hike randomly with our day-to-day manager who had
- 12:56worked with us in the past. And I was like, what?
- 12:58That's so random. And she was like, and yeah, we
- 12:59talked about potentially doing a GRL reunion and I'm like, what?
- 13:02So from there it really like spiraled super quickly.
- 13:06Well, you know what? That's The funny thing about the
- 13:09second reunion of GRL and how that manifested is that wasn't
- 13:14even the first time that you manifested GRL because before
- 13:17GRL even came into existence, Natasha literally created.
- 13:20So I will give Natasha the credit for this one.
- 13:22Natasha originated GRL. We'll get into it, but I want to
- 13:27talk about your journey in GRL. So Bestie Lulu's, if you don't
- 13:31know about GRL, please look them up.
- 13:33They're so incredible. I love their music.
- 13:35I love them. They are true, like best friends
- 13:39and sisters and everything a girl group should be and they
- 13:42were so iconic. They're still so iconic.
- 13:44Look up ugly Heart, the music video, it just passed 100
- 13:47million views recently. Actually not even recently.
- 13:50It was like 3 years ago. It's way past that now.
- 13:52But yeah guys, look it up. But with GRL, Natasha is one of
- 13:55the original members of GRL and I wanted to talk to you about
- 13:58like how you got into GRL, how GRL became a thing.
- 14:01I know it started with an iteration of The Pussycat Dolls
- 14:052 point O and that's what you were initially slated to do.
- 14:08Yeah, so, OK, I love that. You also mentioned earlier how I
- 14:12was really inspired by like the Spice Girls and Pussycat Dolls
- 14:15and Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears.
- 14:17And it's so interesting because these these groups and people
- 14:22were definitely huge influences on me growing up.
- 14:25And I always wanted to be like a powerhouse solo artist, but also
- 14:30love the idea of being in a girl group, especially those
- 14:32specifically. And I don't know really where to
- 14:35start this story because it can get a little bit long winded.
- 14:38And I want to give you like an exciting version.
- 14:39Well, you know what? You were in the first original
- 14:42lineup of the next version of Pussycat Dolls.
- 14:45I was so one of the members. You see how that came up?
- 14:47Oh, yeah. You want to tell it?
- 14:48Yeah, I want you to tell that I would love.
- 14:49For you to. Tell OK, let me try then you
- 14:52chime in at any moment because you do really know a lot of
- 14:54details. So one of my ex's was a
- 14:56professional dancer and he was friends with.
- 14:59Laurens boyfriend. Yeah, you.
- 15:01Already know who was also a professional dancer?
- 15:03Laurens. Another girl in GRO.
- 15:07I love it, yes. Say it in unison with me.
- 15:08It's like we're harmonizing. My God, it's like weird GRO cuz
- 15:12you guys did that in your interviews you.
- 15:13Guys, that's true. You are an honor.
- 15:16You guys, if you're not watching the video version of the
- 15:19podcast, I am wearing a shirt that says I'm with the band cuz
- 15:22I am with the band. I am an honorary GRO, right?
- 15:25Now you are actually. I'm a Gerald always, but yes,
- 15:28always right now. But go ahead.
- 15:30So yeah, so he knew Kenny, who's Lawrence husband now actually
- 15:35crazy. And so that's kind of How I Met
- 15:37her and she just found out. I think through them hanging out
- 15:40together, our boyfriends that I sang and I danced.
- 15:45And so back then she, you know, we didn't have Instagram, which
- 15:48is so crazy. It was not.
- 15:49That long ago, y'all. When we started GRL, we did, but
- 15:52like, at this point I don't think we did.
- 15:54So she was searching, yeah, she was searching me on like YouTube
- 15:57and kind of found a few of my videos.
- 15:58And she told Robin she was like, Oh my God, you've got to see
- 16:01this girl. Like, she's so good.
- 16:02And I didn't know this was happening.
- 16:04And so she had me meet Robin a few times.
- 16:06And I actually did go to one of the Pussycat Doll auditions and.
- 16:09Robin is the founder, the creator of The Pussycat Dolls,
- 16:12and she also is the and founder of GRL.
- 16:15Yes, yes. So this is where they're meeting
- 16:16for the first time. Go ahead.
- 16:18I love you chiming in. This is so good.
- 16:19Can you always help me tell my story?
- 16:20Oh my God, I want to. I need it.
- 16:23And yeah, so I, I ended up meeting with her and I think,
- 16:27you know, there were a couple versions of that.
- 16:29And and for whatever reason, like they'd had different
- 16:31versions of PCD 2 point O, like they did a commercial for the
- 16:34Super Bowl and all these things and I wasn't a part of those
- 16:36things. And the girls kept shifting out
- 16:39to the lineup. Kept shifting out for the
- 16:41pisscat. Dolls 2.0 so at this time guys
- 16:43it was late 2010's The Pussycat Dolls had disbanded and Robin
- 16:47was working on a 2.0 version of the girl group and this is where
- 16:51Natasha was coming in Paula was actually and Lauren we're.
- 16:54Paula and Lauren we're. Part of their The Pussycat Doll
- 16:562.0 lineup, which are also two other members of GRL.
- 17:00Go ahead. And I love you so much.
- 17:03And what's also interesting about this is I had been a fan
- 17:06of Paula's from So You Think You Could Dance.
- 17:07And I was like, I want to be best friends with this girl.
- 17:09I didn't know why. And then with Lauren, I had
- 17:13like, seen her in a hallway at Millennium Dance Complex and was
- 17:16like, who is this girl? Like, so stunning.
- 17:18And like, I just, I just want to be friends with her, not just
- 17:20because she's pretty, but like, you know, I just felt this
- 17:22connection. To her.
- 17:24I was drawn to her and same thing with Paula.
- 17:26And so anyways, I got this call or this text in the middle of
- 17:30the night that I'd like woken up to and Lauren was reaching out
- 17:32saying, hey, would you want to meet with Robin Anton, who's the
- 17:35creator of the Biscayet dolls, which I was a huge fan of.
- 17:38And Larry Rudolph, who had started Britney Spears's career
- 17:41and managed her throughout like her entire career.
- 17:44And Ron Fair, who had kick started Christina Aguilera's
- 17:47career. And so these were mega people
- 17:49that I'd been wanting to work with and had looked up to since
- 17:52I was a little girl. Yeah.
- 17:54And when I got that text, I would like big names.
- 17:57Yes. I would like to meet with them.
- 17:58What are you talking about? And so even though I was like,
- 18:00so nervous and overcome with all these emotions, I was like, what
- 18:03is happening right now? Holy moly.
- 18:05Like, this is just an undeniable.
- 18:06Yeah. So of course I said yes.
- 18:08And. And yeah, I went in to sing for
- 18:11all of them. I don't think Larry was there
- 18:12the first time. And Robin was a little bit,
- 18:15she's like, OK, she's an amazing singer.
- 18:16She's an amazing dancer. But like, we don't know her that
- 18:19well. Like, you know, so they, they
- 18:20kind of put me a little bit through the ringer at first, but
- 18:23I knew that I was in. Oh, yeah.
- 18:25For some reason I like just know.
- 18:26That's also manifestation, just knowing and also believing in
- 18:29owning it. Yeah.
- 18:30And by the way, you manifested that too, because you mentioned
- 18:32before to me when we would hang out that you made a list when
- 18:36you were younger of everyone you wanted to work with.
- 18:38And this list literally manifested beat by beat, person
- 18:41by person. Yeah.
- 18:42When you joined GRL isn't. That crazy and then you know,
- 18:46it's also interesting is before Pussycat Dolls 2 point O was
- 18:50happening, Robin had ATV show called Girlicious.
- 18:53And so one of the girls, Natalie in that group, I had been
- 18:56obsessed with her, like so obsessed and also was really
- 18:59drawn to her and want to be friends.
- 19:00And so she was actually in after I joined.
- 19:03Then Natalie joined PCD 2 point O.
- 19:05She didn't end up doing GRL with us, but she was part of that.
- 19:08So that was another crazy manifestation.
- 19:10And like, as an only child, I had so much time to Daydream.
- 19:15So my favorite part about that is like, I've always been a
- 19:18little bit delulu. Oh, period.
- 19:20Yeah, you're in the right show. Always been a little bit delulu
- 19:24to the point of like, I just love to Daydream and fantasize
- 19:28about things that I want to have happen.
- 19:29And even if I don't know that they will or how they will,
- 19:32like, it's still fun to imagine those things.
- 19:37And so back then, before I even realized fully what I was doing,
- 19:40I think at that point, like I kind of really got into like
- 19:43love, attraction and the secret and everything when I was like
- 19:4618. So it was working and it was
- 19:47working by this point, I kind of knew.
- 19:49But even before that, I'd been imagining like, PCD and Spice
- 19:52Girls and Christina and Britney and all these things.
- 19:54So you make a list of everyone you want to work with, right?
- 19:56And then now they're starting to manifest right before your eyes.
- 19:58Crazy, I know. Did you always imagine when you
- 20:01were making this list? Did you imagine it as a solo
- 20:03artist or did you imagine it in a girl group?
- 20:05That's a really good question and I think I it was mostly
- 20:09solo, but like looking back, I'm so glad that I ended up being a
- 20:13girl group because Lauren had been in a girl group before GRL.
- 20:17And like she said it best, when you're by yourself, it's super
- 20:20lonely. And there's, you know, there's
- 20:23pros and cons to working in a group as far as and working
- 20:26solo, but I think there's so many more pros when you're in a
- 20:29group. Yeah.
- 20:30And then you have that like genuine camaraderie.
- 20:32Absolutely. You have each other clothes you
- 20:34can help each other get. Ready.
- 20:35And then you have each other through everything you're
- 20:37experiencing all together, and that's beautiful.
- 20:38And what I always say I love about GRL is that you guys not
- 20:42only looked like you loved each other, but you really did.
- 20:44You're really best friends. It was friends.
- 20:46The chemistry is unmatched to this day.
- 20:49I'm not seeing that chemistry in girl groups now.
- 20:52I mean, I could be wrong. Also I don't really pay
- 20:54attention to girl groups right now but the chemistry was
- 20:56insane. Thank you.
- 20:57I think that's why everyone, kind of not everyone, but I
- 21:00think that's why there were so many different versions of the
- 21:02group, because the universe was really saying like, OK, who can
- 21:05we put together to really make this the perfect, perfect?
- 21:08It was the perfect one too, and I feel like it needed to go
- 21:11through all those lives and iterations and lineups because
- 21:14then where we ended up, which was Natasha Slate in Lauren
- 21:17Bennett, Paula Van Open and Melina Estrada and Simone
- 21:20Battle, the original 5 girls of GRL.
- 21:23It was so magic like that cannot even be recreated, which is
- 21:27insane. You guys dominated.
- 21:29Oh my gosh. And we were lucky to experience
- 21:31it. I was lucky to experience it
- 21:32first hand. I was such such a fan.
- 21:34Still a fan obviously. So I wanted to ask you about
- 21:36this list that you had. Can you name some of the names
- 21:39that that were on that list that you ended up working with?
- 21:41Yeah, well, there was Robin, Anton, Robin Rudolph, Ron Fair,
- 21:46Natalie, Lauren, Paula. Yeah, for sure.
- 21:48I didn't know Emmeline or Simone or they definitely would have
- 21:50been on the list as well. Yeah, then.
- 21:54Max Martin. Did I not say Max no Max Martin
- 21:56Max 100% Max? Martin, you've been wanting to
- 21:58work with Max. Martin Yeah, All the people we
- 22:01worked with were just incredible.
- 22:02And then of course there's Pitbull.
- 22:03Pitbull was like, especially when he first had come out when
- 22:08I was like 16 or 17, like I had all of his original first
- 22:12albums. How is it being on Wild Wild
- 22:14Love with Pitbull which was an international hit but also hit
- 22:18here in the US GRL featured on Wild Wild Love.
- 22:22It was amazing, yeah. And you guys went to the Playboy
- 22:24Mansion. That was another manifestation.
- 22:26Another manifestation, yeah. I don't know what it was, but
- 22:28you always had an obsession with Playboy, especially like back in
- 22:31the 90s where there was just like Pamela Anderson and all
- 22:34those things. I also loved Girls Next Door,
- 22:36but yeah, at that time I really had an obsession with like the
- 22:40Playboy Mansion and Playboy. I know there's so many things
- 22:43that could be said about that now, but like, yeah, it was.
- 22:45It was. I mean, it's such an iconic part
- 22:47of pop culture. Totally.
- 22:48So to be able to film there was like.
- 22:49Film there would be a part of it that's so crazy do you ever
- 22:52reflect on everything that you manifested just leading into GRL
- 22:55like and you think about and like I really.
- 22:57Manifested that, yeah, absolutely.
- 22:59And it's been something that I think I thought about a lot more
- 23:04back then. And it has just become part of
- 23:06my story to the point where now I can really believe what's
- 23:09possible manifestationally, Everything but that.
- 23:11Yeah, absolutely. But then at the same time, my
- 23:13idea of manifestation has also shifted a lot because now I'm
- 23:16more like, OK, let me follow Spirit, let me follow God.
- 23:19Interesting. And let's see where I get LED.
- 23:21Because if I'm just listening to my ego wants and needs, then,
- 23:25you know, that's my ego leading the show, right?
- 23:27And it's not really God leading. And so now it's I try you're.
- 23:31Going. With the flow less resistance
- 23:33and also less hold on what the outcome might be because I know
- 23:39that God has or universe spirit whatever your terminology is of.
- 23:44Course. But for me I just say God and
- 23:48Spirit. Me too.
- 23:49I actually also say the universe.
- 23:51Yeah, what's the same to me? God and universe are the same to
- 23:55me. It's 100%.
- 23:57And so yeah. So now by me just following what
- 24:01that intuition says, yeah, then I'm also able to to have even
- 24:06better things come to me and also things that aren't just
- 24:08going to feed me, but hopefully also be able to give back to
- 24:11others. And being able to share that is
- 24:12so incredible. Even you telling the story is
- 24:14very inspiring. And I'm the bestie Lulus are
- 24:16going to feel really inspired by it.
- 24:18But I want to talk about that manifestation journey.
- 24:20OK, so you started with manifesting things from the ego,
- 24:23from things that you wanted. And obviously being younger,
- 24:26that's natural. We all, we're all, we're excited
- 24:28about things, we want things and we want to manifest those
- 24:31things, which is great. I'm I feel like I'm still there.
- 24:33But you said you shifted in your manifestation journey to now
- 24:36letting it just happen and you're being more open to
- 24:39receiving and whatever forms those manifestations can happen
- 24:41for you. So how did that intentional
- 24:44shift come about? I love that question.
- 24:46I mean, yeah, from the time I was really little, I've always
- 24:50believed in magic. And, you know, we were talking
- 24:52about being Tululu and being able to like fantasize and
- 24:54Daydream and, and those things. I think we're such a part of my
- 24:59story from a super young age. And then by the time I
- 25:03discovered like the secret and the Law of Attraction and Esther
- 25:06and Jerry Hicks and all those things, I was really able to
- 25:09take that on board and kind of then reflect on all the things
- 25:12that I had manifested thus far and realized, oh, wow, Like I
- 25:15actually had so much more. I don't know if power's the
- 25:20right word, but power in this that I realized you.
- 25:23Were powerful and you're creating that.
- 25:24And it gave me even more of a sense of like, wow, OK, I hold
- 25:28the keys here. And then there's a lot of
- 25:30learning that went on there. And I think just through all of
- 25:34the honestly hard situations I've been through all the
- 25:38challenges, all the losses, that's and, and the work I've
- 25:41done with some of the master healers that I've worked with.
- 25:44Right. That's really helped me to just
- 25:47keep growing with my manifestation journey.
- 25:49So that's how it's taken a turn from being like, oh, let me
- 25:52manifest this to like, OK, let me, let me yes, manifest, but
- 25:57also welcome in the. Yeah, exactly.
- 25:59So it's just like essentially life happens and you know, you
- 26:03had an ego death. Over and over, every single day,
- 26:07with every single trigger. But you were here and now you're
- 26:10so open to receiving better things, like you said.
- 26:13And I feel like better things are coming to you.
- 26:14Like we're celebrating so many wins for you.
- 26:17And I feel like every time I talk to you, we're excited about
- 26:19things and things that are happening.
- 26:20I feel like where I am in my manifestation journey, I'm still
- 26:22coming from a place of ego, but I'm not even that young.
- 26:25But I feel like I'm just in a place where thank you.
- 26:27Not not really thank you, but I feel like I'm in a place where I
- 26:32still am trying to manifest. Like I don't know, I'm very
- 26:34career oriented oriented, so I feel like a lot of things I
- 26:37manifest or career related and I find it to be successful.
- 26:40But you know, you actually had this quote that you said and I
- 26:44want to talk to you about and get your advice Lulu on it.
- 26:46But you've said that if you can go back, one thing that you
- 26:50would do is be more present in the moment and you know, really
- 26:54enjoy the journey more. That's something I feel like I'm
- 26:56struggling with. I even journaled about it last
- 26:57night when I was getting ready for this with you because I was
- 27:00doing my research, of course. And I was like, I'm not present
- 27:04in the moment because this is like for me doing the show, it's
- 27:06just, it's just the beginning for us besties.
- 27:08But doing the show is a dream come true for me.
- 27:11But I'm so incredibly stressed. I feel like I have so much
- 27:14pressure for the success of the show and I work so hard on it
- 27:17that I just feel like it's non-stop.
- 27:18I never sleep so I'm not enjoying it.
- 27:21And I even when I tried forcing myself to enjoy it last night in
- 27:23my journal entry, I was like, I'm enjoying this.
- 27:25And I was like, why are you journaling right now?
- 27:27You have a show tomorrow morning and you need to go live and you
- 27:30need to promote the show and you didn't answer emails and all.
- 27:32Those things that work is actually what needs to take
- 27:35precedence. We need to still our minds
- 27:37before we do the things. So there's always going to be an
- 27:39element of ego because we're humans having a human
- 27:42experience. So there is that natural
- 27:43duality. So getting rid of the ego
- 27:45completely is not actually the goal, of course, but also, you
- 27:50know, that stillness and that like, let me get present 1st and
- 27:54then everything else can get done because you can get done
- 27:58100 more things. This is just a random number,
- 28:00but you know, 100 more things than you could get done if you
- 28:03didn't get with yourself 1st. And I mean, it takes a lot less
- 28:07energy, a lot less effort. And you know, when things just
- 28:09flow OK, or like you kind of just let go and all of a sudden,
- 28:12oh, I have the answer to this, right?
- 28:13Or oh, wait, this just happened. So there is effort and action
- 28:16that needs to take place when we're doing certain things.
- 28:19And of course, during stressful situations, it's way harder to
- 28:21get present and to enjoy, but that's where the work is.
- 28:24And the more that we can get present, the more that we can,
- 28:28you know, be here and try to enjoy and relax, the better
- 28:32everything works out. And we just have to continuously
- 28:34prove that to ourselves. And it's funny because even
- 28:36today, like I was coming here, I planned to be early.
- 28:39I was 15 minutes late. So sorry.
- 28:41I love you. You're.
- 28:42You're never late for me, don't worry.
- 28:44There was like, there were three construction zones I had to go
- 28:47through and my, my apartment building maintenance decided to
- 28:51come like right as I was leaving and I'm like, Oh my gosh.
- 28:54And so I got tested. And so I'm like, Nope, you know
- 28:56what? I can't let myself get stressed
- 28:57because then that energy is going to go into the podcast.
- 29:00And so I was being tested like, Natasha, even now, can you
- 29:03trust? Can you chill?
- 29:04And I was like and. Everything is fine, like you got
- 29:08here and it was fine. Everything was chill, like
- 29:09honestly no rushy washy really. But it like you know it takes.
- 29:13Yeah, there could be challenges. Those things that have to like
- 29:16you have to experience and then you have to kind of set your ego
- 29:19down and just be like, OK. It's a lot of ego challenges
- 29:23that get you to the point of not only like recognizing,
- 29:25realizing, reflecting and healing, but then humbling you.
- 29:29100% and everyday. And This is why it's so
- 29:32important for us to stay grounded and like mindful and
- 29:35grateful and being present. So I love that you said that.
- 29:38Do you feel like when you were in GRL, Right.
- 29:40It's so much what's happening. Like I'm out here saying, oh,
- 29:43this shows so much work, which it is, by the way.
- 29:45But you were, you were international pop star, you were
- 29:49travelling the world, you were performing everywhere.
- 29:51You would get up so much earlier than me.
- 29:54I woke up at 8:00 AM today and I was really bitching about that.
- 29:57But you would, I mean you would get up at 2:00 AM.
- 29:59Sometime to get. Your makeup done before
- 30:01performing on Good Morning America, right?
- 30:03It's always different. The scheduling was always
- 30:05different. There were definitely days where
- 30:06I woke up at like 11 or 12, so trust me.
- 30:09Claiming, claiming, claiming, claiming.
- 30:10I'm not gonna experience that for a while, y'all.
- 30:12So I hope you love the show. Please rate it five stars.
- 30:15Rate it five stars. So, yeah, there were, there was
- 30:18so much going on and there was so much happening so quickly
- 30:20that even with my manifestations rolling out like piece by piece
- 30:24and like Bing Bing boom, it was still really hard to, you know,
- 30:28if you're sleep deprived or if you're stressed or if you're
- 30:30worried about something or, you know, there was so much
- 30:33happening so fast that it was very difficult to be present and
- 30:36to enjoy and like it was. Always the next thing.
- 30:38Absolutely and I remember, you know, logically I understood I
- 30:41need to be having fun. These are my dreams like this is
- 30:43so important. But if you like aren't there
- 30:47emotionally or energetically, like I don't know how to explain
- 30:51it but like you can understand something logically and still
- 30:53not be able to maybe show up in the exact way.
- 30:56We're human, right? Like we're going to really
- 30:58embrace the emotions that we're feeling in the moment.
- 30:59And if you're stressed, that takes over.
- 31:01Absolutely. And it's a stressful situation.
- 31:03Like you said, you're living your dreams.
- 31:05You want to be grateful for it. But at the same time, it's just
- 31:06like it's still very real and valid that you have a lot of
- 31:09things you need to get done. Yeah, there are marks you need
- 31:11to hit. Yeah, there's pressure that
- 31:13you're under, right? And so many people like, you
- 31:15know, have an opinion, thinking about every little thing you're
- 31:17doing. And you're like, even the things
- 31:18that weren't stressing you out before, and now all of a sudden
- 31:20they're stressing you. Out, of course.
- 31:22And then you have people that you're working with who are
- 31:23telling you what to do, what to say, where to be.
- 31:26And I remember Robin, during one rehearsal, she looked at me, and
- 31:31she could probably tell that I was a little bit off or maybe
- 31:35taking myself too seriously or something because I always took
- 31:37myself so seriously. As you should.
- 31:38I do, too. Yeah.
- 31:39Always hard working, always serious.
- 31:41And yeah, that's very important. But then also, you know, having
- 31:43an element of fun can make that even more.
- 31:45Whatever you're doing can make it even more effective.
- 31:47But she had looked at me, and she was like, you know, you're
- 31:4925 and you're going to blink and you're going to be 35.
- 31:53And the interesting thing is I knew she was right.
- 31:57But when you're 25, it feels like the time from being 15 to
- 32:0225, which is the same kind of 10 year jump is, is actually a
- 32:05lifetime. But let me tell you, I blinked
- 32:09and now I'm, you know, Oh. My.
- 32:13Gosh, I don't, but. Now I'm scared of bling because
- 32:15I I want to really enjoy this and like, enjoy doing this.
- 32:19Obviously yours is so much more pressure.
- 32:21No, no, no. I mean, we all have the, you
- 32:23know, our own pressures and our own versions of things.
- 32:25And so I think if there's anything that I could tell my
- 32:28younger self, it would be, you know, you're going to be OK,
- 32:31just trust, like know that more is taken care of than you than
- 32:36you think. And, and I did believe that, but
- 32:38it was also like this inability to let go into that because it
- 32:41was like I wasn't quite sure. And you know what, being young,
- 32:45it's like that ego is a daily wrestle.
- 32:48It really is a daily wrestle. I mean, even now, yes, I still
- 32:51think I'm young, but you know, it's.
- 32:52Fine, I mean you already on it so I don't even know why we
- 32:54acting like you're not. But honestly I just received
- 32:56that. Everything is just that.
- 32:57I literally just absorbed and I was like, wait, that was so
- 32:59healing and good for me. And it's like it's something I
- 33:01needed to hear right now just because we're, we're really in
- 33:03the thick of production here and it's it's a lot.
- 33:06We just launched the show. By the time this episode comes
- 33:09out, we'll be a couple episodes in, but we just launched the
- 33:11show as if where we're filming and it's been a lot of press
- 33:14press. But it's, it's really reassuring
- 33:16to know that not only did you do it so well for yourself with
- 33:19everything that you were doing in GRL, but to know that coming
- 33:23out of it, you're all right, you're feeling good, you're
- 33:26peaceful, you're grounded. That's also really reassuring
- 33:28and healing too. Thank you.
- 33:30It did all manifest quickly. It wasn't just that when you
- 33:33were in GRL, it was also getting into GRL because you mentioned
- 33:37that it started with that text with Lauren and then now you
- 33:40meet with Robin Anton, and now you're meeting with Ron Fair.
- 33:42And now you're suddenly getting put into the group and then
- 33:45everything just takes off from there.
- 33:46It's it's quick. Your life entirely changed.
- 33:50That's crazy. And then do you, do you even
- 33:52think about how quick that was when that was happening or it
- 33:54was just, it was just like, OK, next thing, next thing.
- 33:57Honestly, well, you know, what I do think about actually is I
- 33:59think about the way that I felt before because I did have those
- 34:04doubts where it's like, OK, I'm allowing myself to be delulu to
- 34:07a certain point, but like, what if this never happens?
- 34:10And back then, like especially when I was growing up, you know,
- 34:14Brittany, she popped off at like 16 years old.
- 34:16So by the time I joined PCD 2 point O before it was GRLI was
- 34:2123. So that was terrifying to think,
- 34:24oh shoot, my career is over. You know what I mean?
- 34:27Like my window's gone. And now it's very different, you
- 34:29know, thank gosh. Like we've grown so much as a
- 34:31society and with social media and it's amazing.
- 34:34But back then like so. Funny to say all in your mid 20s
- 34:38though when GRL. Formed.
- 34:39I was the oldest and I was used to being the youngest, which is
- 34:42so interesting. And you're also used to being an
- 34:43only child. And of course, you're a Leo.
- 34:46So now we're putting in four other girls that we have to
- 34:48share. You got four sisters out of
- 34:51nowhere and you adapted, though. You guys really, really, really
- 34:53loved each other. And got along and.
- 34:55Also beautiful and you know what, one of the things that you
- 34:57manifested, you worked with the legendary producer Max Martin,
- 35:01who was behind GRL Deep Cut. Show me what you got.
- 35:04Super iconic Bang Bang, maybe one More time, Teenage Dream,
- 35:08California girls, we can go on. But.
- 35:10Taylor Swift, Ariana Taylor Swift Shake off.
- 35:13Water under the bridge. Yeah, exactly.
- 35:15Oh, my God. I can rattle it off, but you
- 35:17worked with legendary producer Max Martin, and he is
- 35:20incredible. He's been behind so many hits,
- 35:23and he's told you in the booth. Do you want to tell this?
- 35:26You can tell it cause like, listen, it's one of the most
- 35:28special moments that I had, but I don't.
- 35:31I don't like sounding like I'm bragging, but it is.
- 35:32Let me brag for you, you have a you have a lot that I could flex
- 35:35for you and I'm going to Max Martin.
- 35:37This is a quote, direct quote y'all.
- 35:40Natasha was in the booth recording for GRL and then he
- 35:44stopped the recording so he can give her feedback and he told
- 35:48her, you make me want to come to work.
- 35:50How validating is that? It just, it just made my soul
- 35:56very happy. I felt like all the work that I
- 35:58put in, Oh no, wow, I'm getting emotional, no.
- 36:02You deserve. It no, I really felt like it was
- 36:05just like all the work that I'd put in for so long.
- 36:07It was really being seen and appreciated.
- 36:10And he was someone that I'd wanted to work with for so long
- 36:13and of course, really respect him.
- 36:15And all the people we worked with were so special.
- 36:19We got to work with a lot of amazing people.
- 36:21And having him say that was like, my gosh.
- 36:24And you know, Legend is like for me.
- 36:25And he was so humble too, like the most kind man, so humble, so
- 36:30talented, and it was really special.
- 36:32For him to recognize that in you, that's incredible.
- 36:35And he's also said more things, too.
- 36:37He's also said that you're a mix of Christina and Brittany, which
- 36:40special, very special. And honestly, he's he.
- 36:44He has an eye for legends and stars and that's incredible to
- 36:48hear. Like that's incredibly
- 36:49validating. And to have music with him and
- 36:52working with him. It was awesome.
- 36:53And he had so much love for the entire group and all of us as
- 36:55individuals. And, you know, he really was so
- 36:59great at helping us showcase each of our talents and each of
- 37:02our strong suits. And yeah.
- 37:04It was so incredible and he's he's amazing.
- 37:06And you worked with other legendary producers such as like
- 37:08Circuit and J Cash? J Cash, Doctor Luke, Yeah.
- 37:13Yeah, it was the best pop music ever.
- 37:15Peak pop music, honestly. We need more, but we'll get into
- 37:19that. Well, congratulations on Max
- 37:21Marin. And you really, really did
- 37:23manifest that because you've said that you've been wanting to
- 37:25work with him. Well, yeah, I mean, ever since
- 37:27I'd heard Brittany's baby one more time when I was like 9.
- 37:30There you go. And then Fast forward, you're in
- 37:32the booth with him. Insane, yeah, that I did not
- 37:35process in live time. Oh my gosh, crazy.
- 37:38And you manifested that? Absolutely.
- 37:40For sure. Absolutely manifested that.
- 37:42So when you were in GRL, was there a moment that you
- 37:44recognize that you were like, this is bigger than us, bigger
- 37:48than just us girls? Yeah, I mean, I can't pinpoint
- 37:53exactly when that would have been everything.
- 37:55Was fast. Because yeah, I was so fast and
- 37:57everything was happening so quickly.
- 37:59But honestly, I think pretty much from the get go, like as
- 38:03soon as we as soon as we started recording and and just working
- 38:10together, you could feel the magic and it was like, oh, there
- 38:12it goes. That's incredible.
- 38:14And then of course, you know, there's so much that goes into
- 38:16it. There's, we really had to get
- 38:17like lightning in a bottle to become the successful group.
- 38:20There's so many groups that, you know, try to make it and so many
- 38:23artists. And so we got really, really,
- 38:25really lucky. But it was a long time in the
- 38:26making. So as fast as it happened, there
- 38:28was so much work behind the scenes that had to happen.
- 38:31So and and so much work that we all put into ourselves like
- 38:34before we even met each other or come onto the project so.
- 38:37Right. And then meeting each other and
- 38:38making sure you get along. Yeah.
- 38:40And then working with the team that you worked with, because
- 38:42you guys were under Robin Anton, Doctor Luke's label, Kemosabe,
- 38:47Kemosabe, Dr. Luke's label, working with Larry Rudolph,
- 38:51managing the group as well. Like powerhouse names in the
- 38:55music industry signed to, was it RC and Sony as well?
- 38:58Yeah, RC. And Sony with the umbrella
- 39:00labels. Massive, massive, massive
- 39:02massive names, massive labels and these were all backing GRL
- 39:06like it was it was the. Perfect story about really wild.
- 39:09That's crazy. And the experience in GRL was
- 39:12like something that you reflect on and you're like, as quick as
- 39:15it was, like you said, it was life changing in every way.
- 39:18Definitely, definitely, but also just felt like it was meant to
- 39:21be. Absolutely, and it was such a
- 39:23great part of the early 20 tens to when everything was coming
- 39:27out and the GRLEP is one of my favorite projects ever and my
- 39:31gosh, it needs more love besties.
- 39:33But it's really, really crazy that it's like not only have you
- 39:36been were able to manifest all of that, but then you start
- 39:40moving into other things that you've been trying to manifest
- 39:42with your life. Now you're performing in bigger
- 39:43stages, right? You're performing in front of
- 39:46massive audiences and you have this giant platform.
- 39:49Do you recall any performances that are your favorite when
- 39:51you're a part of DRO? OK, so our first big one, if my
- 39:55memory serves me correctly, was iTunes Southwest.
- 39:58That's my favorite 1 for me. All that is.
- 40:00It's definitely Austin, right? One of my favorite ones.
- 40:03Yeah. Austin, TX.
- 40:04Austin, TX. You really know your stuff.
- 40:06Oh it's such a good show, your stuff.
- 40:07I watch it religiously on YouTube.
- 40:09It's so. Incredible.
- 40:10I mean, I want to go back and redo it.
- 40:12So like with all of the things that I know now, like I just, I
- 40:15wish we could, you know, just be able to do so much for SGRF.
- 40:19Everyone feels that we have everything.
- 40:20You know, but that one was very special and there were so many
- 40:24special shows like X Factor. Australia was really cool that.
- 40:27Was such a good. Performance.
- 40:29I don't like the way I looked in that, but that was a really,
- 40:31really special thing. And there were all those
- 40:32piratonics. Is that the right word?
- 40:34Fire that's. Right.
- 40:36Terrifying. Dangling from the thing that
- 40:39comes from the ceiling. And then you drop.
- 40:41Down guys, look up the GRL X Factor, Ugly Heart, Performance
- 40:47X Factor Australia. It's incredible.
- 40:49They come down from a platform, a custom made general platform.
- 40:52They're performing. You guys are holding on for
- 40:53their life. Yeah, holding on for my life.
- 40:55I think I asked to be on the side so I could hold on to the
- 40:57thing. I can't remember.
- 40:59But then actually another one of my favorite performances was our
- 41:02last performance, which was Good Morning America.
- 41:05And of course, didn't know it was going to be our last
- 41:08performance at the time. But yeah, it was right around
- 41:10the time of my birthday. And that was the one I had to
- 41:12wake up at 2:00 in the morning for because we would rotate who
- 41:15would get ready 1st. And basically that's the only
- 41:17way we could make it fair is like, OK, who's going to get
- 41:19ready this time? And I was like, hello, it's my
- 41:22birthday, can I not have a pass? Right.
- 41:23But no, no. So I woke up first.
- 41:27We flew in like the night before, 2 hours of sleep
- 41:29basically. And then and then, yeah, we had
- 41:32to perform pretty early. I think like 6 or 7.
- 41:34I can't remember what time they record, but so interesting too
- 41:37cuz like our vocals were turned down and I don't know why, but
- 41:41our vocals were turned down. And I just remember that being
- 41:44one of the strongest I had ever sung.
- 41:45And especially at that hour, I was like, Oh my God, this is
- 41:48great. But at least I know how I
- 41:50sounded and I felt really good about it.
- 41:51But we all looked amazing and we all had so much fun.
- 41:54Yeah, so. And it was such an incredible
- 41:56performance. You said, as you mentioned, it
- 41:59was the last performance that you guys had as A5 and
- 42:02navigating the loss of Simone and moving forward from that era
- 42:06of GRL. How are you able to transition
- 42:09out of that? It's been years long process,
- 42:15right? I'm going to try not to cry.
- 42:17Oh my God, you're welcome. It's such a hard conversation to
- 42:19talk about because sometimes I'm fine and I don't get super
- 42:22emotional and like, OK, because there's been so much healing, so
- 42:25many different layers and levels.
- 42:27And you know, grieving is grieving is a lifelong.
- 42:29Thing, it's definitely not linear.
- 42:30It's not. It's definitely not linear.
- 42:34It was such a shock. And basically everything that
- 42:38transpired after that, like we, you know, we took a couple
- 42:41months off I think, and then we got right back into the studio
- 42:44so we could honour her with Lighthouse and do some
- 42:46performances and, you know, try to try to just honour her as
- 42:51best we could and like, keep the group going.
- 42:53We're like, is this what, you know, would she have wanted
- 42:55this? Would she you know so but not
- 42:57wanting to go on without her and like so many conflicting
- 43:00emotions, ultimately we disbanded not really by our
- 43:06choice like our label let us know I think a month before that
- 43:09they were letting us go was. This after lighthouse came out.
- 43:11Yeah, yeah, yeah. This was after I think, I think
- 43:14probably like 6 or seven months after.
- 43:18I can't really remember timelines but because.
- 43:21You guys were anticipating to continue forward.
- 43:23I was, I was hoping that we would, I mean, I, that had been
- 43:27my life for. The past few years, that time of
- 43:30your life, that was entirely your life.
- 43:33Yeah. And then it's not only dealing
- 43:34with the loss of a band member and a sister and a best friend,
- 43:38it's also mourning the loss of that era of JRL.
- 43:41Yeah. And then transitioning.
- 43:43Out of that, the dreams that we'd worked so hard for and
- 43:46there's so many layers. And so then I kind of just had
- 43:50to go straight into survival mode because I was like, well,
- 43:53if the label let's us go, I have no idea where I'm going to make
- 43:55my income or how I'm going to make money.
- 43:56And we have like I've got like a month to figure it out and maybe
- 44:00to some people that's a lot of time, but like dealing and
- 44:02processing size. I was like, what am I going to
- 44:04do? You know, I've like.
- 44:06Because. I've never really had a normal.
- 44:08Job. Job as well, yeah.
- 44:09Yes, so lots of things. And then not even a year and a
- 44:12half later, my mom suddenly passed, who was my best friend.
- 44:17And, you know, that came out of absolutely nowhere.
- 44:21And so then there was like that whole situation, of course, that
- 44:24I had to grieve. So there was a lot of loss in a
- 44:26very short amount of time, which interestingly, I guess I'm
- 44:29grateful that it happened in a chunk like that because it
- 44:34really forced me to like I had no other choice but to OK, look
- 44:39at this, sit with this. I can either be completely
- 44:42debilitated and and just wrecked for the rest of my life, which
- 44:46was very much an option. And that's completely.
- 44:48Fair. You know, I can somehow pick up
- 44:53the pieces even if it's one by one, even if I drop them along
- 44:56the way and I have to pick them back up like whatever it is and
- 44:58just keep. Going.
- 45:00It's absolutely a process. Well, navigating all that loss
- 45:03and then of course, moving on to the next chapter of your life at
- 45:06the time. So, you know, now you have to
- 45:08find a job now. The girl group had ended.
- 45:12You guys had worked so hard on it.
- 45:14How scary was that? And how like, how were you able
- 45:16to like, be able to navigate it while going through grief?
- 45:19I was just in survival mode, you know there.
- 45:22Was just time, yeah. There were so many different
- 45:25emotions and different feelings and, and every day I think was
- 45:29different. But at the time it was just
- 45:31like, OK, how am I just going to survive?
- 45:34Not just financially, but just emotionally, Like how am I going
- 45:37to get out of bed? So and then now without the
- 45:40group anymore, like the girls aren't there anymore to support
- 45:43you, were you? Of course, you were probably
- 45:44still there for each other, but not to the same capacity.
- 45:48Yeah. No, we've always really been
- 45:50there for each other. So yeah, I don't know what you
- 45:54went through this. Life changing experience
- 45:56together and you're going through this massive loss
- 45:59together. You know, like that kind of
- 46:02bonding is it's, it's forever. It's like solidified now.
- 46:05Yeah, we're, we've been bonded for life ever since we started
- 46:08GRL and then everything we've gone through together.
- 46:11Robin too, you know, of course. So now that you're like looking
- 46:15for any other job, did you think about like pursuing like, OK,
- 46:18I'm just going to try to be a solo artist now?
- 46:19Or did you think, OK, let me just get paid, let me make sure
- 46:22I can make money? I just needed to make money.
- 46:24Yeah. So I started doing like,
- 46:25whatever, like dance jobs would come up.
- 46:27I got into social media marketing and creative marketing
- 46:30back when that wasn't actually that big because Instagram was
- 46:33still only like a couple years old and I started helping
- 46:37different companies, which actually LED into some of the
- 46:39work that I do now. Like I still have a couple of
- 46:41private clients that I work for and like help them with their
- 46:43social media and creative marketing.
- 46:45So it did lead into other things that like work wise, but at the
- 46:50same time it also it actually gave me the ability to step back
- 46:56from some of the choices I was making for myself that were
- 46:59toxic and be able to heal those things.
- 47:02So were you also like, as you're pivoting away from the group,
- 47:06did you, did you tell yourself that you were going to come back
- 47:09to trying to be an artist at some point?
- 47:11I did want to be, but I feel like as much as I was trying and
- 47:15as much as I was working with certain people, I, I, I just was
- 47:20so in such a hard place in life that it, it just wasn't the
- 47:25right timing for me. And the universe knew that.
- 47:27So as much as I was trying to maybe record or write songs like
- 47:31that was great for my creative process and great for an
- 47:33emotional outlet, but it just wasn't supposed to happen at
- 47:36that time. Otherwise I feel like it would
- 47:38have. So I did want to, but there also
- 47:40weren't opportunities that were presenting themselves that could
- 47:42have like helped me do that. During this entire time post
- 47:47URL, grieving, pivoting, adapting, did you start leaning
- 47:51more into your own spiritual path for healing and comfort and
- 47:55guidance? Definitely, because that's the
- 47:57only way I feel like I could have fully come out.
- 48:01Yeah. Of.
- 48:03Because you were, you were in a dark place at the time.
- 48:06And not even just then like being in GRL, as amazing as it
- 48:10was, like, you know, you're still a person, you're still a
- 48:12human. You're carrying whatever
- 48:13stressors and personal issues you're dealing with and you
- 48:16know, you, we're in a situation where it was a high stress
- 48:20situation. You're in Hollywood, you're in
- 48:21entertainment, you're dealing with a lot.
- 48:23Like you know you had to find different ways to cope with it
- 48:25or embrace it, right? Well, and I know you wanted to
- 48:28talk about this, so I'll just lay it all out on the table.
- 48:31So before I had joined GRL, that boyfriend that I'd been talking
- 48:36about earlier, that new Kenny, that new Lauren's boyfriend.
- 48:40So sorry, Sir, we're putting you on blast.
- 48:45No, but there's a it was a really toxic relationship, like
- 48:47really, really toxic. And I didn't know it was really
- 48:49toxic until about the last year of the relationship.
- 48:52And so at that time, like I, I drank occasionally, you know
- 48:57what I mean? But it was definitely not a
- 49:00problem. Like it was, you know, like out
- 49:02when I was having fun with friends or whatever, right?
- 49:05But as soon as our relationship started to spiral, I definitely
- 49:08leaned on alcohol. And that also turned into a
- 49:11substance addiction that developed over the course of a
- 49:18couple of years. And I didn't really fully
- 49:21realize it had become an addiction until I was like, no,
- 49:23wait, this is the definition of an addiction, right?
- 49:25You know, and I used it because I didn't have strength in my
- 49:31other tools, right? And I used it to anesthetize
- 49:36and, and try to reach a higher space.
- 49:38I actually would. Like if I was drinking or, or
- 49:42using, I would go and, like, sit in my split machine right in my
- 49:45journal, like do all these things to help me feel better.
- 49:48But I could not get out of the mental hamster wheel.
- 49:53Really. Yeah.
- 49:54You're under the. Cycle.
- 49:55Yeah, so. So I did end up with a problem
- 50:00and that did carry over to some of my work with GRL.
- 50:02I mean, I was pretty good about like taking breaks like when I
- 50:05had to and like being really on my, on my stuff when it came to
- 50:09professional things and like making sure I was doing my work.
- 50:11But I can't even imagine how much better I would have been in
- 50:14every single way had I not been doing that.
- 50:16But I couldn't get out of it and I was really stuck in that.
- 50:19So when GRL, you know, disbanded not by choice, that did give me
- 50:26the opportunity to take some time and really sit with myself.
- 50:29And it actually took like I'd there'd been many times where I
- 50:33tried to force it or tried to stop on my own, get help in
- 50:36different ways that are all part of my story that I would never
- 50:40take back and definitely helped me to get to where I am now.
- 50:43But it wasn't until after my mom passed and then I was gifted so
- 50:48generously this session with this master healer that I've
- 50:50been working with for so long that I was really able to cut
- 50:55that off and then fully start my healing journey.
- 50:58Because you can't really heal when that those toxic things are
- 51:01in your system. Absolutely.
- 51:03It's just just the cycle will keep repeating.
- 51:07Do you feel like if JRL had continued on you wouldn't have
- 51:11been able to heal and get through those?
- 51:13I do believe that. I do believe that.
- 51:16I like to believe that that wouldn't be true.
- 51:19But if I really think about it, then yeah, I feel like, I feel
- 51:23like I would have been in a really bad place.
- 51:25I already was in a really bad place, and I don't think it
- 51:29would have gotten better. I think it would have gotten
- 51:30worse. So we talk about like all these
- 51:32hits that you're experiencing and they're they're big and
- 51:35they're devastating. And now you're really leaning
- 51:37into your own path with your spiritual journey and getting
- 51:41into holistic healing also for yourself.
- 51:43And I know that you're very, very into holistic healing.
- 51:47You have studied it as well with.
- 51:50Ayurveda. Ayurveda.
- 51:51Ayurveda I'm. So sorry guys, I practice it so
- 51:54much. I thought it was Ayurveda before
- 51:56I went to school for it too. So you're all good?
- 51:58It's hard to. Say I feel better.
- 51:59I feel better. And then you, you went to school
- 52:01for it. This was after GRL.
- 52:02This was after GRL, so ever since I was a tiny tot, like
- 52:06back when I first became super passionate about entertainment,
- 52:09like I was also really passionate about everything
- 52:11spiritual. Like I just came out like that.
- 52:13Definitely past life remembrance for sure.
- 52:15Holistic medicine, all the things.
- 52:18And so I always imagined myself delving into that world in some
- 52:22form or another at some point. I didn't anticipate doing it so
- 52:25soon, but when the pandemic hit, my dad and stepmom actually
- 52:30approached me and they were like, hey, so we think you
- 52:33should go back to school. Like you need to do something
- 52:35cuz like what you're doing right now isn't really working.
- 52:38And I really, it was such an ego blow and they did this to me
- 52:40when I had COVID. So I was like.
- 52:43Not when you're down. Yeah, and at the same time, No,
- 52:46at the same time, my apartment had flooded, so I was like,
- 52:51pipes are leaking, My emotions are going crazy.
- 52:53It was so symbolic. Another ego.
- 52:56Yeah, it was such a breakthrough.
- 52:57The universe was like, we got to make this so obvious for her.
- 52:59And so it was a really beautiful experience.
- 53:01I did go back to school for two years.
- 53:02I went through the whole process.
- 53:04I worked at a Wellness Center for a while.
- 53:06After that I worked with some private clients and really
- 53:09beautiful experience that I still take with me and and lots
- 53:14of pieces of that play a part in everything I'm doing now and I
- 53:17imagine will only continue to play a huge role.
- 53:20Yeah, and it was such a like, I feel like it's literally, I can
- 53:23tell how different you are. I feel like you've really leaned
- 53:26into that and it really aligns with your spirituality.
- 53:28I tell my friends all the time because I'm, I'm quite spiritual
- 53:31myself, but like I told my friends all the time, Natasha is
- 53:34beyond spiritual. Every time I see you, you're
- 53:36like, you're rattling off something else.
- 53:38I'm like I have no idea. My life, it's my version of
- 53:41delulu, like normal people. I'm sure.
- 53:43I'm sure you and the listeners will probably understand me, but
- 53:46but normal people are kind of like, they'll look at me like is
- 53:49and I just forget that I'm a little bit weird, but it's fine.
- 53:52No, it's it's actually so normal in Hollywood too.
- 53:55Like, you're fine, you're in the right place.
- 53:56That's true. That's true.
- 53:57Born and raised in LA So I'm just naturally like, you know, I
- 53:59lean into that, Yeah, but. Well, this is happening during
- 54:02the pandemic that your stepdad and your stepmother talk to you
- 54:05about this. My real dad, but yeah.
- 54:06Your real dad, so sorry, your real dad and your stepmother
- 54:09talk to you about this and then you start going to school.
- 54:11But then following that, you actually release your debut solo
- 54:14single love Me like me in 2021. And this is such a powerful
- 54:20affirmation song. Everyone stream it right after
- 54:23you rate the show. 5 stars. Natasha Sladen Love me like me
- 54:26and I actually saw you perform it live right before the
- 54:28pandemic started. And I actually begged you that
- 54:30was and I like the most I begged you to release.
- 54:32I begged you to release. I begged you to release it.
- 54:33And then you finally dropped it in 2021.
- 54:35And this is your true entry as Natasha Slain and solo artist.
- 54:39You know, how is that dynamic different from, you know,
- 54:42releasing in a group as you had been?
- 54:43Doing Oh my gosh, so different. I mean, this very much embodied
- 54:46me and my journey and. Everything we just think about
- 54:49right now is all in that. Song, all of it.
- 54:52And you know, even if I release nothing else ever in my life,
- 54:56and I hope that's not the case, but even if I will be so happy
- 54:59that that song out there. It's such an incredible,
- 55:02powerful song, Oh my God. There's like, you know, not a
- 55:04lot of promotion. I had to pay out of pocket for,
- 55:07you know, my publicist friend to get me in a few little outlets
- 55:10here and there and like do a couple podcasts and things like
- 55:12that. But.
- 55:13Yeah, it's hard when you're indie, especially coming from a
- 55:15giant machine where you had everyone handling it for you and
- 55:18you just knew you had like, show up at this time, you know, be.
- 55:21Here, say this, this is what you're doing.
- 55:23But The thing is too is like that's why I hadn't released
- 55:27because it's like, OK, well, I there's this certain now that
- 55:31I'm expecting to be able to live up to with GRL and not that this
- 55:33song does, but this is so me that it feels.
- 55:37It deserves its life it. Deserves.
- 55:38So right to be seen and heard, Absolutely.
- 55:41Yeah, I'm still proud of it. You should be proud of it.
- 55:43I want to sing it right now, but I don't want to.
- 55:44Sing, go, sing, go sing. OK, wait, I'm not going to sing.
- 55:47You can sing or need it. I'm so nervous.
- 55:49I was looking in the mirror. I can't do it.
- 55:52I'm too nervous of singing it, but I would.
- 55:53I'll sing it all the way on the way here.
- 55:55It's such a great affirmation song.
- 55:57So guys, if you haven't listened to it, it's also just like
- 55:59confronting sobriety. It's not necessarily a sobriety
- 56:01song, but just coming clean with yourself and embracing yourself
- 56:04and realizing that you truly do not need love outside of the
- 56:08love that you give yourself. And I think that's so powerful.
- 56:10Yeah, it's about really finding that feeling that we're all
- 56:12searching for. So instead of anesthetizing
- 56:14ourselves with whatever it is you know.
- 56:17You had to write the song for yourself, but honestly, it's
- 56:19healing for the world. I think that's something that
- 56:21the world needs to hear and needs to embrace as well.
- 56:23Just because I think a lot of us naturally search for love and
- 56:26validation and other people and other things and
- 56:28accomplishments. But, you know, taking the time
- 56:30to sit down and reflect and being like, you know what?
- 56:32Loving myself is more than enough.
- 56:34And you had to go through everything that you went through
- 56:36for the songs to even come about.
- 56:37Absolutely. Well, I'm a huge fan of Loving
- 56:40Like Me. Honestly, it's extremely
- 56:41inspiring. It is the Affirmation song, but
- 56:44I also wanted to know if we were gonna get any more Natasha
- 56:46Slaton solo music. Hopefully eventually I would
- 56:50love to do that. The timing hasn't presented
- 56:52itself. And you know, what's so
- 56:53interesting is that, at least to me, it's interesting.
- 56:56But a couple of years ago when I was going through school, I was
- 57:00feeling so much discord between wanting to go to school and
- 57:03wanting to, you know, delve into holistic medicine in in such an
- 57:07in depth way, but then also being conflicted and wanting to
- 57:10keep pursuing music. And I literally had a moment
- 57:13where I asked God and I said, please, please take this desire
- 57:18away from me. If it's not what you're wanting
- 57:21me to pursue right now, OK. And for the first time in my
- 57:24entire life, that desire just went.
- 57:28Where's it now? It is still there.
- 57:30It's coming back. It's coming back slowly but
- 57:32surely. But it really did get kind of
- 57:35lifted off of me for the time being where I was able to focus
- 57:37more on what I was currently needing to pursue, which was
- 57:40really great because it allowed me to be more present in that
- 57:42moment versus feeling that like. But yeah, so now that I'm
- 57:47feeling more and more like performing again and doing music
- 57:50again and feeling like there is a market and that I'm not aged
- 57:54out completely. You're not aged out at all.
- 57:57Seriously. I feel I would like to.
- 57:58I feel like everyone. Feels that way too.
- 58:00I'd love to do a GRL reunion too.
- 58:02Oh, we're gonna get into that. Oh my gosh.
- 58:03I'm still to this day manifesting this GRL reunion and
- 58:07I know it's happening. I want it to happen.
- 58:09I know it's happening. Lauren now lives in London.
- 58:11That's where she's from. Emmalin's back in Canada, where
- 58:13she's from. Paula and I are still here.
- 58:16But yeah, I mean, logistically it's a little bit more
- 58:18difficult. Emmeline and Paula or Emmeline
- 58:20and Paula? Emmeline and Lauren have kids
- 58:21now, but it's still totally possible.
- 58:24And you guys were crushing. You guys were when you guys
- 58:27chum. So for context, Lulu JRL did
- 58:31have a little reunion in 2021. The four original girls got back
- 58:36together and they started working on new music and.
- 58:39Then Paula left. Paula.
- 58:40Paula left. Paula, she is.
- 58:42She's really a Gemini. So yeah.
- 58:44Yeah, she is. Happy birthday to Paula's Gemini
- 58:47season. She's a Gemini, so she backed
- 58:50out of the project. But my gosh, Natasha and
- 58:53Emmeline and Lauren continued on as a three as far as they could
- 58:57go before I think Emmeline had to go back to Canada and then.
- 59:00Yeah, There was just not a lot of, you know, like funding going
- 59:03on. And we, you know, we are all
- 59:04adults. We have to pay for our lives.
- 59:06We have to do our things. So the timing just wasn't right.
- 59:08You know, we were still in the middle of the pandemic.
- 59:10Yeah. There were a lot of different
- 59:11variables that made it not so easy.
- 59:13And so, you know, we just thought that it would be better
- 59:16to stop forcing it. Not that we didn't want to do
- 59:18it. We just felt like there would be
- 59:19a time. And then, you know, Emmeline
- 59:21didn't have kids at that time. So then that happened.
- 59:23And, you know, there's a lot of different things that have
- 59:25developed. Yeah.
- 59:26Life happens. But I know we all still want to.
- 59:29And Paula actually does want to be part of it.
- 59:31So she, as far as I know, she'll be back.
- 59:34Oh. My gosh.
- 59:35Paula. Please, for me, for me
- 59:37personally, Paula, will you please do it?
- 59:40Yeah, no, she wants to. So we'll see.
- 59:41We'll see what happens. Oh my God.
- 59:42Can't say when because I don't know but.
- 59:45What about all the music that you had recorded in that new
- 59:47iteration of GRL? Good.
- 59:49It's so good. So many songs, it really is good
- 59:54and I don't like to toot my own horn all the time.
- 59:57Can I toot it? Can I toot it?
- 59:58Natasha played me some of the songs in my car.
- 1:00:01I lost my. Breaking Deacon mind y'all.
- 1:00:05It is so good and it's so perfectly GRL.
- 1:00:07It really is GRL in the 20 twenties.
- 1:00:10I cannot believe how perfect it is.
- 1:00:12To hear it so. We're manifesting it, Bessie
- 1:00:14Lulu's, we're all setting an intention new GRL music and
- 1:00:17we're all streaming it and supporting it and we're so
- 1:00:19excited to hear it. And we're also excited to hear
- 1:00:21your solo music as well. Thank you.
- 1:00:22And of course, we believe in divine timing.
- 1:00:24Whenever it's right, you know we're ready for you.
- 1:00:26We're ready for to experience it and hear it.
- 1:00:29Thanks, Ryan, of course. Thank you.
- 1:00:30Oh. My God, I'm going to be the
- 1:00:31first person. You make it so easy to be
- 1:00:33supportive. I love everything you do.
- 1:00:35I love everything you do, including what you're doing now.
- 1:00:38So, Natasha, I was going. To be like, what am I doing now?
- 1:00:41But I totally know, yeah. We're we're about a segue.
- 1:00:43Natasha is also a very talented lip print reader.
- 1:00:48And if you guys don't know what lip printing yet, it's
- 1:00:50essentially like tarot, but it's looking into your lip print.
- 1:00:54You put lipstick on, you kiss the paper and Natasha can read
- 1:00:58your lip print to tell you a little bit more about yourself.
- 1:00:59You uncover a little bit more about who you are, attributes of
- 1:01:03yourself. I've gone in so many from
- 1:01:04Natasha. I have them on my office wall
- 1:01:06and I look at them all the time. Not only is it beautiful in art,
- 1:01:09but she nails it. Oh, thank you.
- 1:01:10Nail it. You're so good at it.
- 1:01:12You're so talented at it. It's such a random thing that
- 1:01:14came up that I didn't even know about until a few years ago,
- 1:01:16literally when I was finishing my last year of school, right,
- 1:01:20and someone was doing it at this bridal shower that I went to.
- 1:01:23And immediately I was like, Oh my God, what is this?
- 1:01:26I geeked out. I girled out.
- 1:01:28I was like, I need this in my life.
- 1:01:30It's absolutely love right now. Yeah, 100%.
- 1:01:32It was like this spirituality mixed with the glam and it fun
- 1:01:35fact, it actually is half research science and half
- 1:01:38intuitive art form. So while it is reminiscent of
- 1:01:40things like Tarot or Palma St. it also is very rooted in those
- 1:01:44things are rooted in a bit of science as well.
- 1:01:46But some people will debate. Yeah, but it's also a lot like
- 1:01:49graphology or the study of handwriting analysis.
- 1:01:52But yeah, it's it's a very much a snapshot of the current
- 1:01:55moment. And it's also very much like a
- 1:01:57love letter from your highest self to you.
- 1:01:59So it gives you a lot of like confirmations and it talks about
- 1:02:01your personality traits and your energy and your stress levels
- 1:02:04and sometimes things like guardian angels or health
- 1:02:06concerns will pop up. But it's very loving and very.
- 1:02:10It's very reassuring. I always feel like when you give
- 1:02:12me a lip reading, a lip print reading, I feel like you're.
- 1:02:15It's a hug. It's thank.
- 1:02:16You. Reassurance and I need it.
- 1:02:18Like I never even know how bad I need until you give it to me.
- 1:02:21And it's also beautiful, too. It's cool the way that you know
- 1:02:25someone's lip prints will show up on the page because it's
- 1:02:28exactly what you need in that moment.
- 1:02:29So you know what you what shows up on the page for you one time
- 1:02:34might actually change, you know, from moment to moment because of
- 1:02:37the way that your like brain waves and your blood vessels
- 1:02:40like make help you make the lip print like it's really cool the
- 1:02:43way. I'm so excited, Natasha, would
- 1:02:45you be down to give me a really quick lip print reading?
- 1:02:47Yes. So we could show the bestie
- 1:02:48Lulu. Yes.
- 1:02:50I'm so curious because last time we did this, you everything was
- 1:02:54so nice and positive and good. I was definitely in a different
- 1:02:56part of my life and where I am today.
- 1:02:57I'm so curious. OK, let me just see what's going
- 1:03:00on over here. And reach around.
- 1:03:01Can you get it? Yeah.
- 1:03:02You want to hand me the pen? And here we go.
- 1:03:04So brought you a brand new lipstick.
- 1:03:06Thank you. Shout out, Lollis.
- 1:03:07Shout out Lollis Vegan, right? Yeah.
- 1:03:09Vegan. Multi free.
- 1:03:10It's also available in Sephora. You know what, they're not
- 1:03:12paying me to say that. Shout out Lollis.
- 1:03:14OK, so we're going to do a little lip print reading.
- 1:03:17Beautiful. I'm going.
- 1:03:18To make eye contact with you while I'm putting it on.
- 1:03:21It's going to be our lip print reading.
- 1:03:23OK, that's what I want it to be OK, I'm I'm applying some
- 1:03:26lipstick on right now. Bestie Lulu's.
- 1:03:27For anyone who's not watching the video version of the
- 1:03:30podcast, which is available exclusively on Spotify, please
- 1:03:32check it out so you can see Natasha's gorgeous face.
- 1:03:35Of course, in me applying lipstick.
- 1:03:40I can't multitask. Sorry.
- 1:03:42I'm so. Good at this?
- 1:03:43Yeah. I don't really wear lipstick,
- 1:03:46it's pretty on me though. Pro It is pretty.
- 1:03:48Thank you. And it needs to be really dark,
- 1:03:51pigmented color, bright color, so that I can really see the lip
- 1:03:54print on the page. So like, go in.
- 1:03:57No, I can't tell you what to do. Oh, OK, OK.
- 1:04:00No, no feedback. All right, I.
- 1:04:04I just wanted to give them a reason as to why the color is
- 1:04:07like so extreme. Well, I like this color, Brett.
- 1:04:09What do we think? Brett's next.
- 1:04:13We have one for you too. That's true.
- 1:04:16Is this my colour, Brett? Thank you.
- 1:04:20Brett says. It's my colour.
- 1:04:21OK, I feel good about that. OK, so after we apply the
- 1:04:25lipstick we just take, we do a little little pucker, a little
- 1:04:28kiss pretty. Beautiful.
- 1:04:34OK, show me. Here's the kiss print besties
- 1:04:37and Natasha's. Can you get into it?
- 1:04:39Tell me. Tell us everything.
- 1:04:40Tell us the T Lulu about me. I I want to know.
- 1:04:42So first and foremost, first thing that shows up is that your
- 1:04:45lip print is between the sizes of medium and big, but more so
- 1:04:48on the big side. So this tells me you're a go
- 1:04:50bigger, go home type of personality.
- 1:04:51I am You prefer quality over quantity.
- 1:04:53You want to do things right or not at all, and you don't like
- 1:04:55to be nitpicked on things like time or budget.
- 1:04:57You're like, I need to just do this the right way and that's
- 1:04:59it, yes. Oh my God.
- 1:05:01Brett's like, yeah, it's all of that.
- 1:05:03I have all of that. Absolutely.
- 1:05:05Can't promise that my right is going to be super good right
- 1:05:07now. No.
- 1:05:08I'm you're because I'm writing on.
- 1:05:09My mind trust. Me but then because you also are
- 1:05:12giving like medium lip print mixed with the big, it's telling
- 1:05:16me, you know, you're a bit of a busy beat.
- 1:05:17You've got a lot of things going on.
- 1:05:19You'll be juggling over here, juggling over there.
- 1:05:21Always have something going on, always have something to do and
- 1:05:23like to schedule yourself well in advance when possible.
- 1:05:26Well in advance. But if things don't go exactly
- 1:05:28according to plan, you might have a tendency to beat yourself
- 1:05:31up just a little bit. Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:05:33Your lip prints are asking you to take time.
- 1:05:36Interesting. Be present.
- 1:05:37You're nailing it. Get a little bit more grounded
- 1:05:40and really enjoy the process and also take time to acknowledge
- 1:05:44the things that you're doing. Give yourself credit for all you
- 1:05:46do. Thank you.
- 1:05:47You're welcome. That's immediately so insightful
- 1:05:50and resonating because like, yes, especially where I am in my
- 1:05:52life right now. Yeah, definitely.
- 1:05:55And it might also be pretty detail oriented, which I
- 1:05:58actually know to be true because the top lip is coming in a bit
- 1:06:01more thin than then maybe we would see in a typical like big
- 1:06:07all the way through sized lip print.
- 1:06:09Yeah, that is telling me that you are a bit detail oriented
- 1:06:11and you, you know, you're very good with the details.
- 1:06:14I am very detail oriented besties.
- 1:06:17The way that the corners are coming in, they're actually cut
- 1:06:20off. Can you see this?
- 1:06:21I don't know if I need to show show you.
- 1:06:23They're not attached to each. Other yeah, yeah.
- 1:06:25So the corners are cut off on the sides, which tells me you
- 1:06:27are really focused on taking care of business at the current
- 1:06:30moment. So this is another affirmation
- 1:06:31that getting present, yeah, with yourself in the current time and
- 1:06:35like really enjoying the process of what you're going through,
- 1:06:37OK, is going to be super important right now.
- 1:06:39Just slowing down, taking a breath.
- 1:06:41I could use that too right now. So this is just that reminder.
- 1:06:45Yeah, this is eating me a lot. No, but this is these are all
- 1:06:47good things on the bottom lip. So top lip represents external
- 1:06:50world, things that are going on outside of the self.
- 1:06:53So people, circumstances, situations and events that are
- 1:06:56going on outside of the self. Whereas bottom lip is more
- 1:06:58internal world, things to do with the self.
- 1:07:01Now, when we look at the internal world, we do have seeds
- 1:07:05of transformation coming up. So these are a lot of new
- 1:07:07things, new projects that are going on, things that will
- 1:07:10either affect you in a positive way.
- 1:07:12Oh, absolutely. But as well as the community or
- 1:07:15world at large. So the things that you're
- 1:07:17working on right now keep going. This is your confirmation of
- 1:07:20those things. These are good.
- 1:07:21Oh. My God, claiming I needed that
- 1:07:23so bad. Thank you so much.
- 1:07:25Keep going. And if any ideas are coming up,
- 1:07:27I know you're working on things right now, literally as we
- 1:07:29speak, but if any new inspirations come up, yeah,
- 1:07:31follow those, OK. Yeah, OK.
- 1:07:33Absolutely. Going keep writing is terrible
- 1:07:36right now. That's so good.
- 1:07:37It's so reassuring. Get grounded.
- 1:07:43Let's see what else. Energetically speaking, the lip
- 1:07:46print is a little bit, what I would say splotchy in
- 1:07:49colorization. So like some of the pieces are
- 1:07:52very pigmented, others are a little bit more light.
- 1:07:54This tells me there's some up and down energy going on.
- 1:07:56So like you'll have bursts of energy and then you'll be really
- 1:07:58tired. It's almost like your go, go, go
- 1:08:01until no, no, no, you crash and burn and have to stop and take a
- 1:08:04rest. So more rest more often.
- 1:08:06I think this all comes down to everything we've already been
- 1:08:08talking about, right? When it comes to, like, family
- 1:08:15and friends right now, you're actually very energized.
- 1:08:17There's like some prominent energy there.
- 1:08:19Yeah. So I don't know if that's giving
- 1:08:20you some extra life right now. It's the only thing giving you
- 1:08:23like right now. Thank you, besties.
- 1:08:26There are some stress lines, so finding ways to, you know,
- 1:08:31relieve some stress or figuring out ways that can help you feel
- 1:08:37a little bit less physically and emotionally drained will be
- 1:08:39helpful. Right now, again, a lot going
- 1:08:41on. It's easier said than done.
- 1:08:42I understand that. And then last thing I'll say,
- 1:08:46there's so much more to say. There's so much here.
- 1:08:48I feel like it's like our. I want to keep reading.
- 1:08:52We are having a bit of a WAVY lower print.
- 1:08:55So this is waviness represents like creativity and what is on
- 1:08:59the lower print because we're talking internal world has to do
- 1:09:02with the self. This might be telling you to if
- 1:09:05you've if you've got some creativity that you're not fully
- 1:09:08sharing yet. That you.
- 1:09:10Can and should be sharing more of this, sharing more of
- 1:09:12yourself. If you've got it, flaunt it, so
- 1:09:14to speak. OK, I got it.
- 1:09:15I'm gonna, I'm gonna start flaunting.
- 1:09:17Yeah. Oh my gosh, I love that.
- 1:09:18Thank you. What part of the lip print says
- 1:09:22how to Lulu I am? Good question.
- 1:09:28It doesn't really though. OK, well the Duluth is up here.
- 1:09:31Yeah, yeah, there's, you know, there's that creativity that's
- 1:09:34coming through. You have a couple.
- 1:09:36I didn't actually even talk about shape.
- 1:09:38So we've got a round shape. We've also got a diamond and we
- 1:09:40also have a square or a rectangle.
- 1:09:43So the rectangle tells me you are good at solving problems of
- 1:09:46a problem solver and go to person like people feel
- 1:09:48comfortable going to you to solve these problems, right.
- 1:09:51But you're also a bit of a peacekeeper.
- 1:09:52Like you like things running smoothly.
- 1:09:54You don't like not a fan of things like controversy or
- 1:09:56confusion? Nailing it.
- 1:09:57Brett could have read this. Don't even have to know how to
- 1:10:01do a lip part reading. Just talk about Ryan, OK, It's
- 1:10:03all right here. It's.
- 1:10:05It's all there. And then there is also an
- 1:10:07element of there being a diamond, which, you know, makes
- 1:10:10sense because it's like diamonds.
- 1:10:11You know, diamonds are a girl's best friend.
- 1:10:13The diamond people are everyone's best friend.
- 1:10:15They're also successful in the things that they do sometimes in
- 1:10:18all of the things they do. And if there's something that
- 1:10:20you that you feel you should could be doing or could be doing
- 1:10:23like this, is that recognition that you're going to be
- 1:10:25successful doing it And you're also really good at helping
- 1:10:28other people to become successful.
- 1:10:29So if you know how to do something, you know to teach
- 1:10:31someone else how to do it. Thank you.
- 1:10:32Oh my God, I love all that. And that's exactly what I want
- 1:10:35to do too. Like I want to bring everyone up
- 1:10:37with me. I want to see everyone succeed.
- 1:10:39So I love hearing that. And it reassures me that I'm
- 1:10:42like, OK, I'm not like just egotistical.
- 1:10:45No, not at all. And I'm gonna.
- 1:10:46I'll finish writing down the things when we're done, but for
- 1:10:48the sake of the show, I'm gonna. No, I love that.
- 1:10:50That was so good. You're so talented and you did
- 1:10:52it so like quick. Thank you.
- 1:10:54I'm so passionate about it. It's so much fun and you know, a
- 1:10:57lot of times we'll have slower readings or longer readings.
- 1:11:00I can take my time and not be like, oh peppy, peppy, peppy.
- 1:11:03Here's this, here's that. Absolutely.
- 1:11:04You know the faster readings you get my.
- 1:11:07Still very, very, very in depth though, like even though you
- 1:11:11were doing a quick one for us and we so appreciate it.
- 1:11:13But also best if you want to get a lip reading, lip print reading
- 1:11:16from Natasha, you can go to Kiss and Tell by natasha.com or hit
- 1:11:20up Natasha on Instagram. You can DM her at Natasha
- 1:11:24Slayton. Or at Kiss and Tell by Natasha
- 1:11:26or. At Kiss and Tell by Natasha as
- 1:11:28well and it is a. Really interesting.
- 1:11:30Oh. My God, of course everyone can
- 1:11:31go get a lip print reading with Natasha.
- 1:11:33She could do it virtually as well.
- 1:11:34I can do it virtually, Yeah. I mostly do like parties and
- 1:11:37events, yeah. And then I do have
- 1:11:39individualized readings as well. And I'm going to set up an
- 1:11:41easier, more streamlined system. So probably by the time this
- 1:11:44episode comes out, there'll be a way to actually book.
- 1:11:47But for now, you can still book. You just have to reach out to
- 1:11:49me, whether e-mail or RTM. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
- 1:11:53Get your lip prints red besties. That was incredible.
- 1:11:55Thank you. Of course, thanks for letting me
- 1:11:57share. Of course.
- 1:11:58Oh my God that was super fun. Love reading your lip prints?
- 1:12:00Thank you. You're really good at it.
- 1:12:01And it's interesting because actually, like I said before,
- 1:12:03when you read me last time, I was in AI guess a little more
- 1:12:06LAX place in my life and everything was kind of chill,
- 1:12:08easy breezy peasy, right? And I am feeling like I'm so
- 1:12:12focused on this project, which is the podcast right now.
- 1:12:15And like it showed up in the lips.
- 1:12:18In the lips. Yeah, it definitely did for
- 1:12:19sure. It's, it's telling you all the
- 1:12:21things that we already talked about, which is like getting
- 1:12:23present and, you know, taking more time for yourself and
- 1:12:26really enjoying the current moment, giving yourself credit
- 1:12:28for all the things you're doing. That's what I really want to do
- 1:12:31right now in this moment in my life is be more present.
- 1:12:33Like even right now talking to you, looking at you filming
- 1:12:36this, like I'm really trying to grab myself and be here because
- 1:12:39like it's always what's next. I have to get to the next thing.
- 1:12:42Natasha, we're going to do our game here on delulu WWADGD,
- 1:12:46which is what would a delulu girl do?
- 1:12:49But specifically for this episode, it is what would a
- 1:12:52delulu GRL do? What?
- 1:12:55You did there, yes. I'm so excited to say that.
- 1:12:58So this is where our bestie Lulu submit their questions,
- 1:13:01concerns, situations, anything that they want advice on and we
- 1:13:04give our delulu take or series take, whatever advice we have to
- 1:13:08give them. OK, I love.
- 1:13:09That OK? Are you ready?
- 1:13:10Yeah. So the first one that we have
- 1:13:13here is from an anonymous bestie.
- 1:13:15I regret breaking up with my boyfriend and I feel like he
- 1:13:17looks so much better about me. Should I initiate getting back
- 1:13:20together? What do you think?
- 1:13:25I feel like here's my answer. If you truly want them back
- 1:13:29because you miss the relationship, you miss them.
- 1:13:31I think you should. But if it's because you think
- 1:13:34they look better about you, you have to.
- 1:13:36Like say that. Just reflect a little like, you
- 1:13:38know what I mean? Like is it it's it your ego that
- 1:13:40wants them back or is it like you truly want them back?
- 1:13:43And then I think when you answer that question and you could, you
- 1:13:46could take it from there. Yeah, that's really good advice.
- 1:13:48I actually I very much agree with that and didn't mean to
- 1:13:50laugh. But no I was thinking like the
- 1:13:52same thing like. That's good advice.
- 1:13:54Yeah. You know what's crazy?
- 1:13:55I use my advice isn't like, not that good.
- 1:13:56I don't know where that came from.
- 1:13:58OK, so that's the like, really reflect on that.
- 1:14:00Yeah. I think it's cuz of our
- 1:14:01conversation during this show so far.
- 1:14:04I'm just like, yeah, you're right.
- 1:14:05Like I'm enlightened now. Yeah, and and reflect on the
- 1:14:07reasons why you broke up in the 1st place, Yeah.
- 1:14:10Think about it if you. Can make a deal, yeah.
- 1:14:12Right, so we have another one from another anonymous best a
- 1:14:15non. They're asking how do I move on
- 1:14:17from an ex. I have one.
- 1:14:21OK, go. You're the you're coming out
- 1:14:22with all the advice right now. Well, they come off the Dome.
- 1:14:25I think what I do is I force myself to hate them.
- 1:14:28I give myself the ick from them and then I'm good clean guys.
- 1:14:32I think it depends like that's The thing is because it like did
- 1:14:36the person break up with them or did they break up with?
- 1:14:39Yeah, there's a lot of new. Ones, you know, there's a lot
- 1:14:41of, like, little things. So I think when you're getting
- 1:14:43over someone, focusing on yourself is really the best
- 1:14:47thing you can do because of that person.
- 1:14:49And this actually goes for the last question as well.
- 1:14:50If the person is supposed to come back into your life, I
- 1:14:52really, truly believe that they will.
- 1:14:54Me too. And it'll happen organically.
- 1:14:57But sometimes it also takes time to get over someone if you were
- 1:15:00really in love with them. Like my pass X took me.
- 1:15:03Not the toxic one we talked about earlier, but like the most
- 1:15:06recent one. Yeah.
- 1:15:07Took me a really long time, like years.
- 1:15:09There were so many things. Yeah.
- 1:15:10Because I didn't date anyone. I haven't dated anyone for
- 1:15:12years. So it's like, you know.
- 1:15:14Yeah, I think it really does come down to like where you are
- 1:15:17in your life too. Like there's no rush bestie
- 1:15:20either with moving on. It really is your situation and
- 1:15:22you know it better than yourself.
- 1:15:23And I would honestly just say don't apply pressures to
- 1:15:26yourself to move on either. Like give it time.
- 1:15:28It's a healing process and it's a process.
- 1:15:30It's a journey. And every, every day is a new
- 1:15:32step forward to that. So I just wouldn't rush yourself
- 1:15:35if you're trying to move on. I think that's the best thing
- 1:15:36you could do. You shouldn't try to force
- 1:15:38yourself to move on either. Like I can see where you're
- 1:15:39coming from. But yeah, give it time.
- 1:15:42Take your time with it. It's what I think that's a good
- 1:15:45one too. I'm on a roll.
- 1:15:46You're on a roll, yeah. Well, I think I started a
- 1:15:48little. I started on that one a little
- 1:15:50week. I was like, give yourself the IT
- 1:15:51girl. But yeah, give yourself time is
- 1:15:53what we're going to go with. So we have another one.
- 1:15:57This is from another anonymous bestie.
- 1:15:59Should I believe in the signs that I see?
- 1:16:01Yes, Same. Immediate yes.
- 1:16:03Immediate, yes. And especially because
- 1:16:05intuitively, you know, like you'll, you'll know if you're
- 1:16:07reaching, like if you're seeing something random and you're
- 1:16:10like, oh, that's this. But if you do feel that, then
- 1:16:12yes, it is. And you know, what I would say
- 1:16:14too, is not to share it with everyone because they're not
- 1:16:16going to relate to those signs as much as you do.
- 1:16:18And so that could water it down for you or like take away the
- 1:16:22validity, but if you feel like something is a sign 1,000,000%
- 1:16:25it is. That's really good advice about
- 1:16:26not telling people. I've never even considered that.
- 1:16:28Yeah, they're not. Gonna get it the way you do and
- 1:16:30if and. Then they'll question it, and
- 1:16:31then, and then you're gonna feel less about it.
- 1:16:33And they don't get as excited. And that, like, makes me sad.
- 1:16:35I'm like, hello, like, jump, jump up and down.
- 1:16:38Come on. Absolutely.
- 1:16:39I'm jumping up and down. I just saw that sign.
- 1:16:42I absolutely believe in signs, besties.
- 1:16:44I think the universe gives you signs for a reason, like if you
- 1:16:46need the reassurance, if you need a reminder, if you need
- 1:16:49some sort of affirmation that things are happier working out.
- 1:16:51Because I actually think a lot of people look at
- 1:16:54synchronicities of signs and look at people were like, oh,
- 1:16:56people are so delulu derogatory and like silly about it.
- 1:16:59But really what I always say is like, if it gives you
- 1:17:02reassurance, then believe it. Absolutely.
- 1:17:04And synchronicities come in when you are aligned vibrationally.
- 1:17:07So it's like. That's why.
- 1:17:08You notice it. Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:17:10Believe in the signs. Absolutely.
- 1:17:11Like. And it doesn't matter if it's
- 1:17:13silly, if it feels silly, if it means something to you, it means
- 1:17:15something to you. Absolutely.
- 1:17:17I'm on a roll. Mic drop.
- 1:17:19I kind of we're going to play back the other WWADGS and
- 1:17:22they're not OK so this is our last one.
- 1:17:27So what would a dululu GRL do? Should I take him back if he
- 1:17:31cheated on me before a vacation moment?
- 1:17:36Listen, my I couldn't. That would be a hard no.
- 1:17:41But again, it really depends. Like, did this person go through
- 1:17:46a huge, massive growth period, period?
- 1:17:48Do they really do the work on themselves?
- 1:17:50Yeah. Are they like transforming up
- 1:17:53and down, inside out? Most likely, in most cases that
- 1:17:56is a no. Realistic Lulu.
- 1:17:59But if they really did the work on themselves and, and it's
- 1:18:02probably not going to happen in a week or a month even like
- 1:18:05they, you know, then. But that's a tough one because
- 1:18:09it's hard. Trust is the hardest thing to
- 1:18:11build. And once you break it, can you
- 1:18:13trust? So you would never take back
- 1:18:15anyone who's cheated on? You.
- 1:18:16I can't say never, but I haven't OK to this day and especially.
- 1:18:19Because have you been cheated on?
- 1:18:21Yes, that toxic person I was talking about, it was awful.
- 1:18:24Oh no. Were you one of the girls going
- 1:18:26through the breakups in Vacation?
- 1:18:28Yes. So for GRL lore besties, when
- 1:18:32Vacation was being recorded, three of the girly worries in
- 1:18:35GRL and Natasha being one of them were actually going through
- 1:18:38a breakup. I believe it was Lauren as well.
- 1:18:40Yeah, I set off the dominoes and it was like all of a sudden
- 1:18:43everybody was going through breakups, which was perfect
- 1:18:45because then we got to sing our song and mean every word of it.
- 1:18:47Oh absolutely. Y'all were on vacation that
- 1:18:50night. Absolutely.
- 1:18:51OK well everyone stream Vacation by GRL Co written by Bonnie
- 1:18:54McKee. Incredible song.
- 1:18:56And was that Max too? So fun.
- 1:18:59Incredible song. It's fun.
- 1:19:01Breakup song, if you will. That's what Emily says, Yeah.
- 1:19:05OK well I think this is bad advice and I actually
- 1:19:08acknowledge this but I feel like I should be honest and
- 1:19:10transparent. Yes I think it would take back
- 1:19:13someone who cheated on me but I think it's cuz I have low self
- 1:19:15esteem and that's me acknowledging that I think I
- 1:19:17have low self esteem. So I feel like I'd be like,
- 1:19:18well, I don't blame them. Ryan Oh my God.
- 1:19:25But each step, I love you. Oh my God.
- 1:19:29That's so silly. Thank you.
- 1:19:30Well, yeah, I mean, I think I'm everything.
- 1:19:32I really think I'm everything I really do.
- 1:19:34But also I don't know, I guess like relationship Lulu for me
- 1:19:37I'm like. Does it depend on who the person
- 1:19:40is though? I mean, if they suck, then it's
- 1:19:44fine. If it's someone like I don't
- 1:19:45know, actually, I wouldn't know. I've never been in that
- 1:19:47situation. I've never been in that
- 1:19:48situation. It's a hypothetical for me.
- 1:19:50So that's what me thinks. OK, that's fair.
- 1:19:54Yeah, I think it's, it's individualized.
- 1:19:56If you can really get over it and really grow through it and
- 1:19:58you really believe the other person's done their work, then.
- 1:20:01You know what? I.
- 1:20:02That makes sense I. Think with me, I get really
- 1:20:04obsessive. So I think I'd just be, I'd
- 1:20:06probably be if I'm at that point in a relationship with them, I'd
- 1:20:08probably be really obsessive about them.
- 1:20:10And then I think I'd be like, no, I'd do anything to say like
- 1:20:12view of you. And then maybe I'll even
- 1:20:14understand. Well, but then that's then
- 1:20:16that's your truth and that's OK. Daniel, that's crazy.
- 1:20:20Bestie Lulu's. Honestly as a BFF to you I don't
- 1:20:23I think you should take back anyone cheat on you just are so
- 1:20:25much better than that and honestly I do too so hopefully
- 1:20:28that never happens though. OK well that was www.adg we
- 1:20:32started really strong. I feel like I ended it with
- 1:20:35like. The saddest thing?
- 1:20:35Really good you. Think so?
- 1:20:37OK, and at least anyone can know you're getting the real Lulu
- 1:20:42here. Plus you're giving different
- 1:20:43perspectives. That's what I like about that
- 1:20:45game. And being transparent.
- 1:20:46Yes, that's what I like about that game.
- 1:20:48Well, Natasha, I want to get into the T Lulu here with you on
- 1:20:53Tululu. So you have obviously been in
- 1:20:56the entertainment industry. You have done everything under
- 1:20:58the sun in the entertainment industry.
- 1:21:01I know you know some shit. And I want to ask you if you
- 1:21:05have any, any hot Goss, anything you want to share, any, anything
- 1:21:09on your mind? I don't, Yeah.
- 1:21:11Is that so boring? No, I.
- 1:21:12Really don't. And you know what's?
- 1:21:14That's interesting because you've been in it for a.
- 1:21:15While and I feel like if someone were to be like, what are you
- 1:21:18talking about? There's this, there's that and
- 1:21:20I'd be like, Oh yeah, but I maybe I'm a little bit, I don't
- 1:21:23have anything. Maybe I'm numb to it.
- 1:21:25I don't. Know them?
- 1:21:26I have a list. Do you?
- 1:21:27I mean, maybe I just, I don't have anything that's coming to
- 1:21:30mind. OK, well, actually not anything
- 1:21:33current. I do have questions for you that
- 1:21:35aren't any any hot Goss or anything Scandi just T Lulu I
- 1:21:38want to know great from GRL Natasha Slayton herself.
- 1:21:42OK, so who's your favorite Spice Girl?
- 1:21:46So sporty because she had the powerhouse vocals.
- 1:21:49She was always my favorite and I love them all.
- 1:21:51Yeah, and you're so into the powerhouse vocals you're
- 1:21:54inspired by early Mariah. Absolutely.
- 1:21:56And sporty spice. For real, she was.
- 1:21:58My favorite Christina. Absolutely.
- 1:21:59And all of the peeps. Yeah, all.
- 1:22:02The Divas with the voice. Yeah, at a James, Aretha,
- 1:22:04Whitney, everybody Big ones. But what's interesting is I feel
- 1:22:09like I keep saying what's interesting and it's.
- 1:22:11All interesting. It's all interesting.
- 1:22:13But the girls would call me Posh Spice and I'm totally Posh.
- 1:22:18Definitely Posh Spice, definitely, that's for sure.
- 1:22:20You are especially girly GRL. You are girly GRL in GRL.
- 1:22:24Yeah, girly girl. Girly girl, yes, I so see that
- 1:22:28you're so unicorns and rainbows and bubbles and.
- 1:22:31Yeah, and I'm not a sporty girl at all, but unless you count
- 1:22:34like dance and stuff. But I.
- 1:22:36Love and that is pretty sporty. That's that's sporty and the
- 1:22:39dance that you do to like your pole dancing is very sporty.
- 1:22:43Yeah, it takes so much strength and like sporty weightlifting
- 1:22:46and Stairmaster and all that stuff.
- 1:22:47So you're a sporty spice. I guess so.
- 1:22:49Just just no balls, nothing flying at my face.
- 1:22:52That's that clueless line. I don't know.
- 1:22:54I haven't seen clueless. What?
- 1:22:56I'm gonna have to watch it right after that.
- 1:22:57Wait. Never.
- 1:22:59Never. Yeah, Brett told me it's for, so
- 1:23:02that's why I've never seen. That is not allowed on the show.
- 1:23:05What? Sorry, I had a sneak on.
- 1:23:12I had a sneak on for you. You have to see clueless.
- 1:23:16I'm going to see Clueless. OK?
- 1:23:17Can we watch it together? Yes.
- 1:23:19Do you love it? Yes.
- 1:23:20OK, Wait. Oh, I was thinking Legally
- 1:23:22Blonde. We have to.
- 1:23:24See, clearly you are Legally Blonde because what is that
- 1:23:26comment? That's amazing you haven't seen
- 1:23:28Legally Blonde. No.
- 1:23:33Oh my God, what? Oh my God this is the most like
- 1:23:36baffled you've been the entire show.
- 1:23:38I'm in shock. I haven't seen any of that.
- 1:23:40I know, and it's kind of up my alley.
- 1:23:41Have you seen Mean Girls? Yes, I love mean.
- 1:23:44Girls don't yes mean like that with you literally haven't seen
- 1:23:47the other. Two love Mean Girls, I don't
- 1:23:49know why. The other ones I don't know.
- 1:23:51Wild. OK, we're gonna watch them
- 1:23:52immediately. OK, sleepover.
- 1:23:55OK, girls, night. It has to happen.
- 1:23:57OK, we're doing it tonight. OK, then I guess we're not
- 1:24:02watching it. No.
- 1:24:02It's happening. OK, it's happening, it's
- 1:24:04happening. OK, So I want to know.
- 1:24:07I'm so excited about this question because I want to
- 1:24:08answer it, OK. What's your favorite GRL song?
- 1:24:13That's such a hard question. It's hard, right?
- 1:24:15I have so many for different reasons.
- 1:24:17OK. Can you give?
- 1:24:18Us so. I want to know so bad.
- 1:24:20OK, this is so hard. I'm going to name like all of
- 1:24:24them. OK, I'll start.
- 1:24:25I'm literally going to name all of them.
- 1:24:27You should. I can name all of them right
- 1:24:28now. So when we were recording, I
- 1:24:29think Girls Are Always Right was like my fave.
- 1:24:31The second I heard that, it had such a nostalgic like late 90s,
- 1:24:34early 2000s feeling to it. So I immediately love that.
- 1:24:36Plus I love things with like a little bit of an R&B feel.
- 1:24:39But show me what you got Also had that Rewind also really had
- 1:24:42that Rewind was my favorite to perform because the dance just
- 1:24:44felt so good in my body. But then Ugly Heart, which is
- 1:24:47our biggest song, and it just gives Simone all of her flowers.
- 1:24:51And so I just love that song so much for all that it is and all
- 1:24:54that it was for all of us. And then Lighthouse, because of
- 1:24:59the depth of that song and how much that honors Simone.
- 1:25:02And then? These are all my favorites.
- 1:25:04I mean like. I'm literally, but I also like
- 1:25:06all the other ones that I didn't mention.
- 1:25:08Yeah. So, yeah.
- 1:25:09I love all of those You actually nailed like probably all of my
- 1:25:13favorites. I love lighthouse so so, so so
- 1:25:15much. It moves me every single time.
- 1:25:17And I think my favorite is show me what you got I.
- 1:25:21Love that song. It's you know, Max is singing
- 1:25:23that. Yes, yes, yes, yes.
- 1:25:26You told me that. That's T Lulu that you told me
- 1:25:28before someone listened to it. And Emmalin.
- 1:25:29Emmalin's singing. It was mixed in.
- 1:25:31Right. Yeah, it was so good.
- 1:25:33And there are so many incredible Giro songs that were
- 1:25:36unfortunately not even release that are also favorites like.
- 1:25:39Oh, like I. Fan favorite like I do.
- 1:25:42That is probably all of our favorites only because we never
- 1:25:45got to release it and it's such a strong song.
- 1:25:47Can you talk to us about like I do?
- 1:25:51I think Max did it right. Max did it.
- 1:25:53Max did it, Max Martin did like I do.
- 1:25:54It's an unreleased GRO gem and can you talk to us about
- 1:26:00recording that song and it never made the EP?
- 1:26:02It never made the EP because of, you know, everything that
- 1:26:05happened. And so we it was just one of the
- 1:26:08last things that we recorded. It was the last thing we
- 1:26:10recorded as a five piece, as a five piece.
- 1:26:12So it just never came out. It wasn't supposed to be on the
- 1:26:14EP. It was supposed to come out
- 1:26:15after because we were working on songs to release a Believe a
- 1:26:18full length. Right.
- 1:26:19So when you were when the EP came out and you guys were
- 1:26:23actively working on an album, right?
- 1:26:26And like I Do was meant for the album.
- 1:26:27Yeah, as far as I remember. My gosh.
- 1:26:29And then what about the other songs that were happening during
- 1:26:31that time? Well, we had two songs that I
- 1:26:34don't think did make the cut, but I loved them.
- 1:26:37Yeah. Want Forever and Turn Up The
- 1:26:39Radio Obsessed. And then we had a couple of
- 1:26:44other songs that we recorded at that time too that never came
- 1:26:46out that were also really good. Where?
- 1:26:49Are these songs now I? Don't know.
- 1:26:50It's like there's so there's so much political stuff that goes
- 1:26:54on. Yeah, it's a business.
- 1:26:56Yeah, And there's, like, writers and producers and, you know,
- 1:26:59this person belongs to this label and this person belongs to
- 1:27:01that label and just, you know, so many different factors that
- 1:27:04come into play. And then with the recent songs,
- 1:27:05we just didn't have the budget to actually release them.
- 1:27:09And there's just so much. Oh my gosh, the the world needs
- 1:27:13this. The the GRO music that hasn't
- 1:27:16come out. But like, I do like so good.
- 1:27:19It's so, so, so incredible. Yeah, I forgot I played that.
- 1:27:21She also played it for me secretly.
- 1:27:27Yeah, it was so good. I'm really good about not
- 1:27:30leaking things. Yeah, I don't have no idea how
- 1:27:33that one, it was like the finished version or any.
- 1:27:37I have no idea how that came out.
- 1:27:38And then all the other unreleased music from GRO and
- 1:27:41the GRO revival that is also unreleased.
- 1:27:43Like we're still manifesting that that all comes.
- 1:27:45I hope so, yeah. Because that's what we didn't
- 1:27:47have the budget to release at first, which I don't know, Like
- 1:27:49I'm not really supposed to say that we didn't have the budget,
- 1:27:52but that's the truth. Well, we're going to work on
- 1:27:54that because we're going to manifest being, you know, able
- 1:27:57to do whatever projects we want to do with no constraints.
- 1:28:00That's that's where I'm coming from.
- 1:28:01You know what I was going to say initially, guys?
- 1:28:02And this is what I learned through the show.
- 1:28:04My ego was going to we're gonna manifesting being billionaires.
- 1:28:06But then I changed it because it's like I want to be open.
- 1:28:08So I said we're gonna be able to do the projects we want to do
- 1:28:10with no constraints. Yeah, there we go and watch it
- 1:28:13happen now. And we will be streaming the new
- 1:28:15GRO music. So this is kind of along the
- 1:28:17lines of what we already talked about a little bit, but you
- 1:28:20would be so down for a GRO revival.
- 1:28:22Absolutely. And the other girls 1. 1000% I
- 1:28:25think so, yeah. I don't see why not.
- 1:28:27We got to make it happen. OK, I'm manifesting it.
- 1:28:29I'm a start in my next manifestation journal because
- 1:28:31the first time I did it, it did happen.
- 1:28:34That's true. Robin literally just sent me a
- 1:28:36voice note about she's like, let's do it.
- 1:28:38I'm like Rob, hello, I've told you I'm so down.
- 1:28:41Like what do you mean? Robin, I'm on board, yes.
- 1:28:45But Paula took her class and sort of teased that there was
- 1:28:47going to be a GRO reunion. I'm like, what are you saying to
- 1:28:49these fans? They're going to get so hyped.
- 1:28:51I don't even know about this. I am getting highs right now on
- 1:28:53camera. What do you mean?
- 1:28:54Paula don't play with us. She's a Gemini though, so we'll
- 1:28:57take it. We'll take them a grain of salt,
- 1:28:59but we would love. We would all be.
- 1:29:01So fun. And then?
- 1:29:02OK well my last T Lulu question for you is how far along was
- 1:29:06this GRL album? So we was the first original 5
- 1:29:09songs on the GRL EP Ugly Heart. Show me what You got.
- 1:29:12Rewind Girls are Always Right and don't Talk about Love.
- 1:29:15Were they all going to be on the album as.
- 1:29:16Well, I think so. They should.
- 1:29:19I imagine that that yeah, that was just like the EP and that
- 1:29:21they were also going to be on the album and that we would have
- 1:29:23had, I guess, maybe double the amount of songs or I'm.
- 1:29:26Not sure we have a tea Lulu question for you.
- 1:29:29So during that time period, you know, you had management and you
- 1:29:32had a lot of people, a lot of cooks in the kitchen.
- 1:29:34Kind of like telling y'all what to do and you know where to go
- 1:29:37and what you know, you're hitting your marks, right?
- 1:29:39What was that experience like? Just being like directed, you
- 1:29:42know, the entire time? I mean, as far as being
- 1:29:46directed, I think that was more to do with like maybe the
- 1:29:49choreography and stage direction and things like that.
- 1:29:51But we did have our own say with like how we felt about certain
- 1:29:56things. I think the thing that we had
- 1:29:58the least amount of say in was like the music we were
- 1:30:00recording. But they always made sure we
- 1:30:02liked it. OK, But there were so.
- 1:30:03If there's anything you hated, they would be flexible if.
- 1:30:06You know, 100% there was nothing we hated like they were really
- 1:30:08good at, like bringing. It made sense.
- 1:30:10The music that made sense, yeah, that they knew it was us.
- 1:30:14But I mean OK Robin is a really close friend now but we
- 1:30:20definitely collided at the beginning.
- 1:30:23Like it was always a love hate relationship with shadow Robin.
- 1:30:26She'll she. Hi, Robin.
- 1:30:27You know, I was in a different place and she was definitely in
- 1:30:30a different place for sure. So that was difficult at times.
- 1:30:35And it's interesting because now you guys are the other thing.
- 1:30:38It's interesting again. It is.
- 1:30:39That is genuinely interesting. This is all interesting.
- 1:30:41Because, you know, I had an idea of, like, what I wanted to look
- 1:30:45like in the kind of clothes I wanted to wear and the kind of
- 1:30:47image I wanted to have. And she really had that image in
- 1:30:49her mind as well. So I think more of my pushback
- 1:30:52probably came from a fear of like, maybe they don't see, you
- 1:30:55know, who I'm wanting to be. And I don't want to be molded
- 1:30:57into something. And there was a long time where
- 1:30:59she, like, really wanted me to be a redhead.
- 1:31:00And I was like, I'm not going to be a redhead Robin.
- 1:31:03I am brunette. And that could have worked, but
- 1:31:05it just didn't feel right. So like things like that where I
- 1:31:07was like, no. That is insane and I was not.
- 1:31:10Afraid to say no, I was never afraid to say.
- 1:31:12No, I'm also really not afraid to say no.
- 1:31:15But good. I'm glad that you really
- 1:31:16advocated for yourself. Yeah.
- 1:31:17I can't even imagine you as a redhead.
- 1:31:19I mean, you had looked incredible.
- 1:31:20Of course. Thank you.
- 1:31:20But you're you're you're a brunette.
- 1:31:22You know it. Was more so when Natalie was in
- 1:31:24the group because she was already known to a lot of the
- 1:31:27fan base and she was a brunette. So that was.
- 1:31:29Before GRL when it was PCD. Well, you know what?
- 1:31:31We're going to do a little rewind right now, which by the
- 1:31:34way, is a GRO reference. It's on the EP, but we're going
- 1:31:37to do a quick little rewind. I have a fun fact, Lulu, about
- 1:31:40this GRO lore, and I think it'd be interesting to talk about.
- 1:31:44But when you were originally in PCD 2 point O and it
- 1:31:48transitioned to GRO, you've actually talked about how you
- 1:31:51cry. You did not want to do it.
- 1:31:53You did not want to do it. You wanted to do PCD 2 point O.
- 1:31:57It's it turned out so much better in retrospect for us.
- 1:32:00Like we got to be our a brand new thing and we got to also
- 1:32:03like bring in some of that like Spice Girl energy, which is
- 1:32:06really, you know, part of the energy that we were cultivating.
- 1:32:09Yeah. And we still got to have, of
- 1:32:12course, some of that put together all sexiness.
- 1:32:14But because I was so like, I loved like, the R&B and the
- 1:32:19sexiness at that time and like, it just felt very me.
- 1:32:23Yeah. But then I can't deny that GRL
- 1:32:25was me as well. So it's like, but when they told
- 1:32:28us they were like changing the name and doing all this and.
- 1:32:30And I was a little bit overwhelmed at the news, but
- 1:32:33quickly it became a positive thing.
- 1:32:35I mean, it ended up being a cultural phenomenon and I feel
- 1:32:37like with, you know, Pussycat Dolls 2 point O, it just would
- 1:32:40have been another iteration of what was redone.
- 1:32:43Yeah, we can't redo that, and The Pussycat Dolls were so epic
- 1:32:45and iconic and definitely deserved to stand on their own.
- 1:32:48And if there ever is a PCD 2.0, because again, never say never,
- 1:32:52I'm sure that'll be amazing as well.
- 1:32:54Yeah, the whole idea behind it was how they had the weed, like
- 1:32:59the live burlesque shows, and how those lead singers would
- 1:33:02always change and like everything was always moving and
- 1:33:05flowing. So she kind of wanted to do the
- 1:33:06same thing and keep it alive with the groups and not
- 1:33:08necessarily make it the same thing, but just be able to keep
- 1:33:12it going would. All 5 girls be the lead in PCD 2
- 1:33:16point O it. Would have been the same as with
- 1:33:17GRL. OK, it just would have been
- 1:33:19under the branding of Pussycats Dolls.
- 1:33:21Got it. OK, well now you reflect on that
- 1:33:24and it's like it happened exactly how it was.
- 1:33:27Totally, Totally, totally, totally.
- 1:33:28Yeah, Yeah. And then Gerald was such a
- 1:33:29bright bubbly. It was just fun, like energetic.
- 1:33:32Young, it was everything it needed to be.
- 1:33:34It it definitely was and you brought the right energy to it.
- 1:33:37Thank you. So we talked a lot about your
- 1:33:38delulu throughout the show and you have been the OG delulu.
- 1:33:43You've been delulu since you're very, very.
- 1:33:44Young. Me too girl.
- 1:33:47So I wanted to talk to you about your most delulu take.
- 1:33:51I know you got them. I have so many and I think, you
- 1:33:53know, I don't necessarily think you're going to think I'm
- 1:33:55delulu, and I don't even think your listeners will.
- 1:33:57I just think day-to-day I've always believed in magic.
- 1:34:01You know, everything is energy. And so I think from a young age,
- 1:34:05just knowing that that was real and believing that was real when
- 1:34:09I come into contact with most people, that's not necessarily.
- 1:34:12They're not always going to see eye to eye, Yeah.
- 1:34:14So to them I might seem to Lulu. I mean, I also have this
- 1:34:18feeling, 'cause I watch so many monster movies in so much
- 1:34:20Twilight Zone and Outer Limits when I was younger, that if I'm
- 1:34:22in the deep end of a pool or any part of the pool, that it's
- 1:34:24gonna open up to another dimension and monsters are gonna
- 1:34:27come out and eat me. I hate water I don't even want.
- 1:34:29To get in water? Totally possible.
- 1:34:31I mean, it is possible like absolutely.
- 1:34:33That's not delulu at all. And I think.
- 1:34:35Juicy. It didn't help that like my dad
- 1:34:36had a huge life-size creature from the Black Lagoon statue.
- 1:34:39He's obsessed with Monster. That's horrifying.
- 1:34:41So actually, I mean, I felt protected by the creature, I'm
- 1:34:44not gonna lie. That one's delulu.
- 1:34:46I think that one's delulu. He's sweet, you know, it's fine.
- 1:34:50No, But so, yeah, I always think there's something going to be
- 1:34:51something that grabs me, even in a pool.
- 1:34:53OK, but I'm also the girl that wears Moldavite and his estulate
- 1:34:57taped to her third eye some nights for a spiritual expansion
- 1:35:00when I sleep and that I don't think that's delulu.
- 1:35:03Delulu at all. I don't think any of us are
- 1:35:05gonna think that's delulu. I will say I'm being comforted
- 1:35:07by the Black Lagoon Monster is a little delulu to me.
- 1:35:11I'll take that one. He's strong, you know, scares
- 1:35:14off the bad guys. OK, well, I need him then,
- 1:35:15because obviously, yeah, I wouldn't mind that energy in my
- 1:35:19life. So you know what?
- 1:35:19I take it back. I'm happy being delulu, it's
- 1:35:21fine. Me too.
- 1:35:22I love being delulu. It's like why?
- 1:35:24I think it's why I'm so positive.
- 1:35:25Everyone who's asked me like why are you so positive?
- 1:35:27First, I'm faking it. And two, I do.
- 1:35:31It's because, yeah, I like living in my own little world,
- 1:35:33you know what I mean? So.
- 1:35:35And then I'd rather just be, you know, I'd rather be focusing on
- 1:35:38the positive things in life. Yeah, that's so important, but
- 1:35:40it's also important not to not that you're doing this, but you
- 1:35:43know, not to spiritually bypass or bypass any of the emotions
- 1:35:46that might come up or the things that so we'd.
- 1:35:48Feel what you need to feel them, absolutely.
- 1:35:50And we acknowledge them and then, and then we can try to.
- 1:35:53And be a. Dreamer.
- 1:35:54Yeah, totally. Always be a dreamer.
- 1:35:56I love that. So honestly, yeah, you're right.
- 1:35:58I don't think any of that felt that delulu to me, but I can see
- 1:36:01how maybe, yeah. Unless you got anything wild.
- 1:36:06Have I ever shared anything that's like very delulu?
- 1:36:09No, because I believe everything that you tell me really
- 1:36:11strongly. But I'm quite delulu myself so.
- 1:36:14Like I believe in mermaids and fairies, I just think that I'm
- 1:36:17not getting on the frequency that they're on in order to see
- 1:36:19them A. 100%, I have a little TV show I'm doing with mermaids
- 1:36:23soon. They're mermaid twins.
- 1:36:25Their names are Olivia and Anita, and it's gonna be a cute
- 1:36:29little thing. I'm gonna do a sync with
- 1:36:30Netflix, OK? I have little toys and dolls of
- 1:36:32them, too. What?
- 1:36:34Yeah. I'll show you later.
- 1:36:35OK. OK.
- 1:36:36Yay. You're gonna support that show?
- 1:36:38Yeah. The Lulu OK do you believe that
- 1:36:40inanimate objects have feelings? Because like, I if this bear was
- 1:36:44like sitting by itself, I would cry, OK?
- 1:36:47Like, I would be so sad. Or like, if plants are neglected
- 1:36:50at a store and you, I will cry. You have to buy that plant.
- 1:36:55That dying plant is so sad. Are you kidding?
- 1:36:57Or like, I'm really nice to my objects.
- 1:36:59Like if I run into my trash can accidentally I'm like I'm so
- 1:37:01sorry. Really.
- 1:37:02Because you want to respect your space, and it's still all
- 1:37:04energy, and it still carries a signature of.
- 1:37:06When you explain it like that, I'm on board, but I don't know
- 1:37:10because then oh, sorry, see. See, he just apologized to the
- 1:37:15microphone. OK.
- 1:37:16For context, Lulu, it's because Brett doesn't like it when I hit
- 1:37:18it. So I was apologizing.
- 1:37:20I was apologizing to editing Brett.
- 1:37:22In the future, OK, fair enough. But also, sorry, microphone I.
- 1:37:26Projected. It's OK.
- 1:37:28It's OK. I wanted to clarify Lulu that,
- 1:37:30but with the teddy bear. Lulu, he was sitting there
- 1:37:34waiting for you. What?
- 1:37:35Yeah. He's so soft.
- 1:37:37Isn't he cool? Yeah, he's.
- 1:37:38Good. I've been petting him this whole
- 1:37:39time and probably just like. I know we need to put, we need
- 1:37:43to put out for the Hulu besties. Oh, his hair is all over me.
- 1:37:46OK, if you guys see that I'm covered in fuzz in the video,
- 1:37:49it's Lulu. It's Lulu.
- 1:37:50It's Lulu. OK, so we're going to play
- 1:37:53another game. Oh my gosh.
- 1:37:54OK. Yeah, this one's fun.
- 1:37:55This one's going to be a quick fire one.
- 1:37:57OK, so we're going to play a game of claim or rebuke, OK,
- 1:38:00claim being you accept and rebuke being you reject.
- 1:38:03You don't want that. Strong words.
- 1:38:05Strong words. So really.
- 1:38:06You feel strongly. Feel strongly about these.
- 1:38:08I got I got 4 for you. OK.
- 1:38:11Strongly about all of these. So Are you ready?
- 1:38:13Yeah. Are we claiming or rebuking boy
- 1:38:15bands? Oh my gosh, claiming.
- 1:38:17What's your favorite boy band? Insync.
- 1:38:19Really. Yeah, I think mine's One
- 1:38:21Direction. OK, that, I mean you're younger
- 1:38:23than me, so that's. The only one I know actually.
- 1:38:25Are there other boy bands? You don't know In Sync or
- 1:38:27Backstreet Boys. I'm aware of them.
- 1:38:30Wow. By the way, Max Martin did also
- 1:38:31do music for both of them. Yeah, there you go.
- 1:38:34That's how I know them. I'm a big Max.
- 1:38:36Martin, that was my time back in my day.
- 1:38:38Oh my God, it's you're not even that much older than me.
- 1:38:40You could trust me. OK so I I'm also claiming boy
- 1:38:43bands to be honest. Absolutely, I love them all.
- 1:38:45OK, are we claiming or rebuking touring again?
- 1:38:48Oh, claiming, claiming that was so.
- 1:38:49Fun. I also really want a tour.
- 1:38:50Yeah, I'm claiming that one. Really heavy.
- 1:38:52That would be so fun. How was the clearest tour?
- 1:38:55Oh no. What's T Lulu?
- 1:38:57What's T Lulu? The T is that we just, we didn't
- 1:38:59really get to perform. We performed like twice on that
- 1:39:01tour and. It was more like a meeting.
- 1:39:04Loose hair is literally all over me.
- 1:39:06I see it flying everywhere. Flying.
- 1:39:08Everywhere I I saw that it was, it was more like a mall meet and
- 1:39:11greet. Yeah, there were a lot of mall
- 1:39:12meet and greets and so I think, you know, the the bus wasn't
- 1:39:15like it was cool. It was cool on the outside.
- 1:39:18I mean, you guys see your big ass versions of yourself, yeah?
- 1:39:20It was really, it was really awesome.
- 1:39:22OK, wait, I don't want to seem ungrateful.
- 1:39:23It was. Really.
- 1:39:24Cool, you're allowed to be on top.
- 1:39:25Also, we didn't get to record or I'm sorry, we didn't get to tour
- 1:39:29that much. OK, Oh my.
- 1:39:30God no. What am I saying?
- 1:39:32You toured in Australia as well, Yeah?
- 1:39:34We didn't get to perform. OK, yeah.
- 1:39:36And then but then now moving on to like the All About That Bass
- 1:39:39Tour when you open for Meghan Trainer.
- 1:39:40That was so fun. That looks incredible, that.
- 1:39:42Was really fun, but we only had a few shows.
- 1:39:44Yeah, so. When the Australian fans are so
- 1:39:47massive of GRL and I'm sure they're watching this right now.
- 1:39:50Yeah OK. Are we claiming or rebuking a
- 1:39:54GRL revival? Claim, Claim.
- 1:39:56Claim. Claiming hard, yeah.
- 1:39:58It's meant to be claim. Oh, it's meant to be.
- 1:40:00It's meant to be. It's meant to be.
- 1:40:01It's meant to be. It's happening.
- 1:40:03OK. Or are we claiming rebuking
- 1:40:06joining an entirely New Girl group?
- 1:40:09No rebuke, review. It just wouldn't feel right.
- 1:40:12I get that hearts. With GRL.
- 1:40:14Absolutely. Yeah, and they could be amazing,
- 1:40:16but yeah, OK. I mean, never say never, right?
- 1:40:20But yeah, it's safe to say rebuke.
- 1:40:22OK, I think rebuke too. Strong word, but.
- 1:40:24I'm rebuking that you will join another one.
- 1:40:26I feel like what's happening. I feel like my identity just got
- 1:40:29split. Yeah, it doesn't make sense.
- 1:40:30OK, that's fair for me. OK, that was fun.
- 1:40:33How do you feel about that? Those did I pass.
- 1:40:35Well, you did the best you. Did Fair enough.
- 1:40:38Yes, you passed, You passed, you passed, you passed.
- 1:40:40There was no definite. You didn't pass.
- 1:40:42Let's actually talk about that. You need to see you passed that
- 1:40:45part of the game. But like, OK, we need to.
- 1:40:47Let's get into it, get you into **NSYNC and Backstreet Boys,
- 1:40:50Legally Blonde and Clueless. Like right away.
- 1:40:52OK, those those are my doses of delulu that we need again too.
- 1:40:56OK, I will. I'll start with the the boy band
- 1:40:58ones because I can stream those and other ones are movies.
- 1:41:01I don't have time for those right now.
- 1:41:02You. Know I'll make fair.
- 1:41:03No, it's fair. I'll make time.
- 1:41:04We'll make time when the timing's right, when it aligns.
- 1:41:07Absolutely. We're all about.
- 1:41:09Timing. Yeah, exactly.
- 1:41:10OK, you passed. It's fine.
- 1:41:11OK, good. We restored.
- 1:41:12We. I, I I redeemed myself.
- 1:41:14Yeah. OK.
- 1:41:15I love that. Well, Natasha, this has been
- 1:41:18beyond incredible. Love you so much.
- 1:41:20Thank you for having me. I'm so proud of you and I'm so
- 1:41:22thankful that you guys hung out with me this whole time.
- 1:41:24No, this was so much fun. Are you kidding me?
- 1:41:26And like everything that you said was so empowering and
- 1:41:28insightful and like, I learned so much more about you and I
- 1:41:30feel like I know you really well already.
- 1:41:32You know me better than I know myself.
- 1:41:33And not true the. Truth.
- 1:41:35You remember more about me than I remember.
- 1:41:37I do remember a lot of things. It's just because I'm from
- 1:41:40Georgia. I'm from country like that.
- 1:41:42I love it, Georgia, the state. But yeah, so I really appreciate
- 1:41:46you being here. And this was really healing for
- 1:41:49me, too. I'm honestly taking a lot of
- 1:41:51what you said, I'm going to apply it to my life.
- 1:41:53I feel like I'm even more grounded.
- 1:41:54I'm sad that we're closing the show right now, but that's how I
- 1:41:57know I'm a presence in the moment because I'm sad that the
- 1:42:00show's closing. But we end every show by
- 1:42:03manifesting together. We're going to speak what we
- 1:42:05want into existence and the universe is listening and we're
- 1:42:08gonna we're gonna have it manifest.
- 1:42:10So is there anything right now that you want to manifest?
- 1:42:13It could be serious, silly fun, anything you want.
- 1:42:17I'll. I'll start.
- 1:42:18OK. I'm manifesting A Jaro revival
- 1:42:20period. Claiming yeah, I that I set up
- 1:42:23the entire show for that one. I.
- 1:42:25Knew it. I knew it.
- 1:42:26So, Paula, please commit. She's she's in.
- 1:42:29She's. In OK, I believe you.
- 1:42:33And then I am. I'm manifesting my ability to
- 1:42:39continue tuning in with spirit and listening to where I'm being
- 1:42:43called. Why are you laughing at me?
- 1:42:44No, because there's so much more enlightened and better than
- 1:42:47mine. Yeah, I'm trying to, I'm trying
- 1:42:48to listen and just, you know, whatever is meant for my highest
- 1:42:50good because I don't want to get in the way.
- 1:42:53I feel like you already have all that, too, and that's nice.
- 1:42:55So we're welcome more of it. Yeah.
- 1:42:56Welcome me and more of it, Yeah. You're deeply enlightened.
- 1:42:59Like I tell all my besties that you're the most spiritual person
- 1:43:01I know. Genuinely.
- 1:43:03You're super spiritual and it shows.
- 1:43:05It's just how I live. And like my friend Kate, who's a
- 1:43:09sound healer, she says. She's part woo woo, part true
- 1:43:11true, And she's about to be. Part to Lulu.
- 1:43:15I'm on that train. OK, well, can I ask you?
- 1:43:18Yeah. Do you feel like this is the
- 1:43:19most peaceful you've ever been? In your life?
- 1:43:22In my life, yes, absolutely. And it was a quite a journey to
- 1:43:26get here. Yeah, and it helps that I've
- 1:43:27been on a cleanse for a really long time.
- 1:43:30You have. So I feel like.
- 1:43:31I'm in all my recent memory you have been on this.
- 1:43:34Yeah, it's very, it's been very long.
- 1:43:35Yeah, well, you were glowing. So it's working.
- 1:43:38I fear it's working. I love you.
- 1:43:40Well, I'm manifesting that Gerald reunion.
- 1:43:42OK. And we're manifesting staying
- 1:43:45closer, a higher self. Yes.
- 1:43:46And that's that's beautiful. Honestly, both can exist.
- 1:43:49Both can exist. Both can exist.
- 1:43:51Well, Natasha, thank you, thank you, thank you SO.
