[SPEAKER_00]: You are a man of God in a world against masculinity, willing to stand in the gap.
0:04
[SPEAKER_00]: An example of its good, you feel the pressure is to conform.
0:07
[SPEAKER_00]: But you're part of a growing few, rejecting your inner-passivity.
0:10
[SPEAKER_00]: So you can love others well.
0:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Stand for truth and lead on apologetically.
0:14
[SPEAKER_00]: The grain is not your path.
0:17
[SPEAKER_00]: You press four as a resolute man.
0:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, Giants, how's your week going so far?
0:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Mid, point, have you gotten done?
0:24
[SPEAKER_00]: What you need to get done by this point?
0:26
[SPEAKER_00]: How are you gonna tackle the remaining days of your week?
0:29
[SPEAKER_00]: So you could be present with your family.
0:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's not be procrastinated.
0:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's not be the easier things.
0:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Whatever's on your list, do the hardest things first.
0:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Conquer it in the next two days.
0:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Have peace on the weekend with your family and enjoy yourselves.
0:41
[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
0:41
[SPEAKER_00]: This episode is teaching Proverbs chapter three, 13 through 18, a few more verses today, because they all go together really well.
0:49
[SPEAKER_00]: WORTH MORE THING GOALED.
0:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Ooh, we get to talk about gold today with your children.
0:55
[SPEAKER_00]: This is going to be fun, right?
0:57
[SPEAKER_00]: It's the first to challenge whatever the challenge is that men experience and prevent them from teaching the Bible to their families.
1:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Or spiritually, here's a big one.
1:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Hard to do it in front of the wife.
1:08
[SPEAKER_00]: For some reason, it's hard for most men to even pray in front of their wives.
1:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Pray for their wives in front of her.
1:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Pray with their wives.
1:15
[SPEAKER_00]: and initiate that.
1:16
[SPEAKER_00]: It's hard for men, for some reason when their wife is present, teach the Bible, open the Bible and teach the family.
1:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Why is that?
1:23
[SPEAKER_00]: It depends on the family I think, it depends on the marriage, but if that's you, you should try and figure out why that is.
1:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you should talk to your wife about the challenge.
1:31
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if you don't know why it is, you can say, I don't know why it is, but I don't put it on her, but just be able to talk about it and sister pray for you.
1:38
[SPEAKER_00]: But you need to figure that hard to do it in front of the wife.
1:41
[SPEAKER_00]: That's a real issue.
1:42
[SPEAKER_00]: You need to be honest about that if that's you.
1:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's because you think your wife is critiquing you.
1:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's because you think she's better at knowledge of the Bible than you are.
1:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's because that's been heard domain in teaching the family.
1:54
[SPEAKER_00]: And you haven't really stepped into that.
1:56
[SPEAKER_00]: And it feels awkward.
1:57
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what it is.
1:58
[SPEAKER_00]: But solution is this is you stepping in reorientating your own.
2:02
[SPEAKER_00]: You need to reorientate your own and show up as a leader.
2:06
[SPEAKER_00]: and teach your children the Bible.
2:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Your legacy is depending on the prayer.
2:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Promote read, ask questions, you're in to know the Bible better.
2:14
[SPEAKER_00]: As you get better and better at this, the R for read, you can also teach.
2:19
[SPEAKER_00]: which is great.
2:19
[SPEAKER_00]: We need to promote, right?
2:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Before we do the couple tips for you, dads, it's important to tell your children to be wise, but your children need to know why.
2:27
[SPEAKER_00]: They have to know why, it's vital.
2:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Make knowing wisdom attractive to your family.
2:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Follow what God's doing here.
2:34
[SPEAKER_00]: So often we can just teach them something, but we don't make it attractive.
2:38
[SPEAKER_00]: We don't teach them the wise behind it.
2:39
[SPEAKER_00]: We don't tell them the benefits of it.
2:41
[SPEAKER_00]: All human beings need to know the benefits of it.
2:44
[SPEAKER_00]: You're not gonna do a real estate transaction.
2:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
2:49
[SPEAKER_00]: So you need to understand that.
2:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Children need to understand the benefits.
2:52
[SPEAKER_00]: There's an unbelievable benefits of following after God or being God.
2:56
[SPEAKER_00]: We want to do it because we love Him, but we need to know the benefits to the motivate people.
3:01
[SPEAKER_00]: We need to make this a thing attractive.
3:02
[SPEAKER_00]: This next section makes it super attractive using a word picture.
3:06
[SPEAKER_00]: So God's making it attractive.
3:07
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a good example for us.
3:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Here's a teaching tip.
3:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Deliver words on a silver.
3:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Platter, too often we can just go bless it is the one who finds wisdom and the one who gets understanding for the game from hers, better than game from silver, or profit better than gold.
3:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Anybody have a thought on this?
3:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, that is not attractive.
3:30
[SPEAKER_00]: That is not winning.
3:32
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, honestly, because it's scripture, it is still winning after crack myself.
3:36
[SPEAKER_00]: It is still winning.
3:37
[SPEAKER_00]: They heard scripture from dad's lips.
3:39
[SPEAKER_00]: That's true, but now we've been doing this a while.
3:42
[SPEAKER_00]: I wanna amp it up a little bit.
3:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Start delivering it on a silver platter.
3:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Start being thoughtful about your words.
3:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe just a little bit of more prep time.
3:49
[SPEAKER_00]: and think about what you're gonna say.
3:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes it's just the energy, it's like this, it's like blessed is the one who finds wisdom and the one who gets understanding for the gain from her is better than gain from.
4:03
[SPEAKER_00]: What do you think God's gonna say?
4:05
[SPEAKER_00]: Better than gain from silver and are profit better than gold.
4:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Gold right now is worth X amount.
4:13
[SPEAKER_00]: That's when you listen to this, you could look it up and sprouts for just one little coin.
4:17
[SPEAKER_00]: It's worth that much money.
4:19
[SPEAKER_00]: And you know what's worth more than that is wisdom.
4:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Bless is the one has wisdom, right?
4:25
[SPEAKER_00]: So that's how you wanna read these things.
4:27
[SPEAKER_00]: So but before we go into that scripture, a way to promote it would be something like this.
4:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, let's say we go to the river children with a pan looking for gold.
4:35
[SPEAKER_00]: When that be fun, would you be excited if you found a big chunk of gold?
4:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Of course they're going to be excited about that, right?
4:42
[SPEAKER_00]: You would be excited about that, right?
4:44
[SPEAKER_00]: So, here's a way to get their attention.
4:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Is sharing a story or hypothetical, and would you be excited about that?
4:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Getting their mind working.
4:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, wisdom is even better than finding that big chunk of golders were thousands and thousands of dollars.
4:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Wisdom is even better.
5:02
[SPEAKER_00]: I get to share with you today and we get to discuss so you guys ready?
5:05
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, and then you go into verse 13 through 14.
5:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Bless is the one who finds wisdom.
5:09
[SPEAKER_00]: The one who gets understanding for the game from her is better than game from silver or profit better than gold.
5:15
[SPEAKER_00]: So worldly people can look like they're living the good life.
5:19
[SPEAKER_00]: And they can make it look like that is the way to be.
5:23
[SPEAKER_00]: All the things it looks like their life is easy.
5:26
[SPEAKER_00]: It looks like they're unbelievably happy and having the best time in their life.
5:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Social media will constantly promote people's highlights and ever see their lowlights and so it's a false reality And you can see that wow these people living after the world have freedom and they must be blessed The reality is if you could pull the curtain back is that people that don't have God They do not have the joy
5:48
[SPEAKER_00]: in the same way that people that do have God, and no God.
5:51
[SPEAKER_00]: The real blessing is relationship with God and knowing God.
5:56
[SPEAKER_00]: That surpasses anything the world has to offer.
5:58
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what this is talking about.
6:00
[SPEAKER_00]: And so don't be tricked by what people promote about their lives when they're following the world.
6:05
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't be tricked either by even Christians that only put their highlights out there.
6:10
[SPEAKER_00]: and not their lowlights and not their reality.
6:12
[SPEAKER_00]: You're not seeing a full picture and you could easily get in the comparison.
6:15
[SPEAKER_00]: You could easily cause yourself to doubt things and things like that.
6:18
[SPEAKER_00]: So it's really important.
6:19
[SPEAKER_00]: You guys are on social media, but someday you will be and you're gonna notice that.
6:23
[SPEAKER_00]: It's really prevalent and people are more depressed and I'm excited than ever.
6:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Because they're only looking at people's highlights and comparing their own life to that.
6:31
[SPEAKER_00]: When in reality, their life might even be far better richer
6:35
[SPEAKER_00]: in deeper meaning than that person that's only showing the highlights on social media.
6:38
[SPEAKER_00]: You have to prepare them.
6:40
[SPEAKER_00]: That's proactive leadership rate though.
6:41
[SPEAKER_00]: You're teaching them things before they experience it.
6:44
[SPEAKER_00]: So they're ready when they experience it.
6:46
[SPEAKER_00]: You're equipping your children from unprecedented times.
6:48
[SPEAKER_00]: You have to be a proactive leader, okay?
6:51
[SPEAKER_00]: So right here it says, less is the one who finds wisdom.
6:54
[SPEAKER_00]: There's an action word.
6:55
[SPEAKER_00]: I like finding action words.
6:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Finds.
6:57
[SPEAKER_00]: and better than, oh, and then it says get somewhere, too.
7:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Her is better than game for silver and her profit better than gold, and one who gets understanding.
7:06
[SPEAKER_00]: So one who finds wisdom and gets understanding.
7:09
[SPEAKER_00]: I would really highlight that to your children.
7:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Finds get, because that's not sitting on the couch waiting for something happen.
7:14
[SPEAKER_00]: That is finding proactive, searching, wanting, seeking, desiring,
7:21
[SPEAKER_00]: And getting, that's going after something.
7:23
[SPEAKER_00]: We need to go after wisdom just like a young man would go after his bride And that's kind of the analogy here.
7:30
[SPEAKER_00]: God's using.
7:31
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not bad to make money It's even saying right here is missing the next point for the gain from hers better than gain from silver and her profit better in the gold There's two business terms used here children
7:42
[SPEAKER_00]: gains and profits right and so it's using actual business terms But you know what it's using them and then wisdom is better than the financial gains Isn't that beautiful wisdom is better than financial gains?
7:55
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not bad to make money.
7:57
[SPEAKER_00]: You got to teach your kids write some churches teach this really wrong
7:59
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not bad to make money.
8:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Good thing to make money.
8:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Money is a resource.
8:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Money itself is not bad or good.
8:05
[SPEAKER_00]: I would say it's more neutral.
8:06
[SPEAKER_00]: I'd say a lot of times it's good because that's how we trade for things and be able to get the things we need.
8:12
[SPEAKER_00]: It's so forth and it's really an important thing.
8:14
[SPEAKER_00]: But the love of money is what's bad.
8:16
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what's bad.
8:16
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's too often people get into that even Christians into the love of money and that you can see that when they don't trust God and they don't give their first fruits.
8:24
[SPEAKER_00]: We just learn that.
8:25
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what the Bible says.
8:26
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not what I say.
8:27
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not what dad says.
8:28
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what the Bible says.
8:29
[SPEAKER_00]: It corrupts the heart.
8:30
[SPEAKER_00]: So we have to be careful not to let it corrupt the heart and we have to pursue wisdom.
8:34
[SPEAKER_00]: I put God first and don't step away from his wisdom.
8:38
[SPEAKER_00]: That's the direction you want to encourage him.
8:39
[SPEAKER_00]: How you make money also matters, okay?
8:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Verse 15 through 16.
8:45
[SPEAKER_00]: That's a great discussion point too if you want.
8:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Verse 15 through 16 she is more precious than jewels she is wisdom is more precious than jewels and nothing you desire can compare with her long life is in her right hand in her left hand or riches and honor well interesting nothing you desire can compare with wisdom.
9:03
[SPEAKER_00]: None of your earthly desires none of your comfort desires none of your possession desires
9:08
[SPEAKER_00]: None of your dreams after you have physicality of things or money or things like that, compare to God's wisdom.
9:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Because it's those who have a relationship with Christ that get God's wisdom.
9:19
[SPEAKER_00]: And those who are in tune when building a relationship, walking with God, are getting God's wisdom and that far surpasses anything the world has to offer.
9:27
[SPEAKER_00]: And when you're in that posture and that position, anything you do is gonna be better.
9:33
[SPEAKER_00]: It's gonna be better.
9:34
[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't mean more money is gonna come in necessarily,
9:37
[SPEAKER_00]: But it's automatically flows from a willy perspective.
9:39
[SPEAKER_00]: That's not when it is in the prosperity gospel, but it does mean you're in a far better place and the right things and the better things will happen to you in your life.
9:48
[SPEAKER_00]: So we need to check your desires.
9:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Are you sacrificing wisdom for your desire for something?
9:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Two things that are promised to your long life and riches in honor.
9:58
[SPEAKER_00]: There was a promise there.
10:00
[SPEAKER_00]: in her left hand are riches and honor.
10:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm, interesting.
10:04
[SPEAKER_00]: So get wisdom first.
10:07
[SPEAKER_00]: And God's gifts come after.
10:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Get gifts first, you may lose both.
10:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm, so the priority needs to be wisdom in relationship and love for God.
10:20
[SPEAKER_00]: In a heart-possure of trusting God with the first fruits and a heart-possure wanting to glorify God with their lives.
10:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Oftentimes,
10:27
[SPEAKER_00]: There are wonderful things that come to us.
10:29
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not why we do it.
10:31
[SPEAKER_00]: There's wonderful things that come to us when we put God first.
10:34
[SPEAKER_00]: That's pretty cool.
10:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Verse 17, her ways are ways of pleasantness and all her paths are peace.
10:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Do you like conflict in your life?
10:43
[SPEAKER_00]: No.
10:44
[SPEAKER_00]: We want peace in our life.
10:45
[SPEAKER_00]: What's the way to peace is pursuing relationship with God and getting his wisdom?
10:49
[SPEAKER_00]: The road of worldliness looks good, but it's terrible.
10:52
[SPEAKER_00]: So just remember that.
10:53
[SPEAKER_00]: We talked about that already.
10:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Good comes from God's ways.
10:56
[SPEAKER_00]: And we want to be pursuing God's ways.
10:58
[SPEAKER_00]: In the final verse verse 18, she again is wisdom here.
11:01
[SPEAKER_00]: She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her.
11:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Those who hold her fast are called blessed, okay?
11:08
[SPEAKER_00]: You got to grab onto it, children.
11:10
[SPEAKER_00]: You got to grab onto God's wisdom.
11:12
[SPEAKER_00]: You got to desire to know this book, this Bible.
11:15
[SPEAKER_00]: You got to desire to know God and pray to Him in your private time.
11:18
[SPEAKER_00]: See, we can pray together.
11:20
[SPEAKER_00]: But the real question is, do you pray when no one's around?
11:23
[SPEAKER_00]: That's a real test of if you're building a strong relationship with God.
11:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Is if you pray when no one's looking, what happens when nobody's looking?
11:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Perhaps is what matters most.
11:33
[SPEAKER_00]: And indicates most.
11:35
[SPEAKER_00]: If you're building a real relationship with God or not, dad, do you want your children to be cultivating a real relationship with God?
11:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Did you see what I just did there?
11:43
[SPEAKER_00]: I gave them a vision of what it looks like if someone has a real relationship with God.
11:47
[SPEAKER_00]: And that is that they're communicating.
11:49
[SPEAKER_00]: If you have a relationship with someone's children, how would that relationship go if you never talk to them?
11:54
[SPEAKER_00]: That's an interesting question.
11:55
[SPEAKER_00]: So you've got to grab on it.
11:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Why is it hard?
11:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Here's a question.
11:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Why is it hard to keep God's wisdom first in our minds and hearts?
12:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Good thing to discuss.
12:01
[SPEAKER_00]: What are ways we can make sure we grab onto it and keep it?
12:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Keep God's wisdom, threat center in our lives.
12:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Finding wisdom is finding Christ in following him.
12:11
[SPEAKER_00]: And that is the key.
12:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, I have a tip for you from episode 22.
12:15
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a really powerful episode where I had Dave Drandon keep building incredible company where the millions of millions of dollars he's a best-selling author keynote speaker Really cool guy.
12:25
[SPEAKER_00]: I've known him a long time and I had him on the episode and we talked a lot about White's council and decision making so forth.
12:32
[SPEAKER_00]: So I have three tips from that episode
12:33
[SPEAKER_00]: that I want to give you.
12:35
[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, I read his book, perpetual motivation when I was a young father.
12:39
[SPEAKER_00]: He talks about how he's running business and had six children and all the things going on.
12:43
[SPEAKER_00]: And he talked about it in terms of plate spinning and how do you keep all the plate spinning at once.
12:48
[SPEAKER_00]: And I remember thinking him, I had a plan of having two children at the time.
12:52
[SPEAKER_00]: I remember thinking, how in the world does you have six children?
12:55
[SPEAKER_00]: I can barely do what I'm doing here and run a business so successfully and look like he's so free and joyous.
13:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Little that I know, I'd have nine kids down the road, but I understand it a much better now, really powerful episode, but first I want to share Prevenx with you again.
13:08
[SPEAKER_00]: I really highly recommend this, our whole family is on this Prevenx.com.
13:12
[SPEAKER_00]: One of the things that I'm taking is the green drink.
13:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Really helps to gut and be able to process food better.
13:17
[SPEAKER_00]: So healthy, it's got all these wonderful nutrients in it that actually contributes that with the brain health and the multivitamin have given me a lot more energy.
13:25
[SPEAKER_00]: A lot more energy, more cognitive power, belief I could do things more optimism.
13:29
[SPEAKER_00]: I have more things in my to-do list than ever before, knocking them out at a faster rate.
13:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Right now, I mean, this is not a brag point at all.
13:36
[SPEAKER_00]: It's the Lord doing it, but
13:37
[SPEAKER_00]: I really feel like the Lord brought prevencts into my life, with the CEO reaching out to me wanting to sponsor the resume on show.
13:43
[SPEAKER_00]: We took a while to make sure that we love the product, because we never put on anything unless we absolutely love it, use it ourselves.
13:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Not ended up being the case here, just incredible.
13:51
[SPEAKER_00]: I've never felt the health effects of items before.
13:53
[SPEAKER_00]: I always just took them anyways, but now I actually feel it and feel the difference.
13:58
[SPEAKER_00]: But right now, I mean, I'm a pastor of a local church here that's growing in vibrant.
14:02
[SPEAKER_00]: We're planning a new church.
14:03
[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to be a pastor of that for a period of time.
14:05
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm looking for a new pastor to take over that other church.
14:08
[SPEAKER_00]: In addition to that, start of this result, man show again.
14:10
[SPEAKER_00]: There was on pause because of the church plant before.
14:13
[SPEAKER_00]: And still running be courageous ministry.
14:15
[SPEAKER_00]: We put a courageous parenting episode out.
14:16
[SPEAKER_00]: We're writing books.
14:18
[SPEAKER_00]: and I'm having time with family and we have a six grand child.
14:21
[SPEAKER_00]: When I talk about it, it kind of makes my head spin, but somehow more is happening.
14:24
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think part of it is that I just feel healthier.
14:27
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like I'm more energy.
14:29
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm getting more done.
14:30
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm less distracted.
14:31
[SPEAKER_00]: I remember more things.
14:32
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's a combination of this super green drink.
14:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm taking through PreventX.com.
14:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Brain Health in the multivitamin.
