- 0:01Speaker 1: The Blaze and Confused podcast is rated M for marijuana.
- 0:04Speaker 1: No minors. Mature audiences only. So, Lee's our guest today. Hello, Lee.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Say hello. Lee, the witch. Yay. The resident witch of
- 0:14Speaker 1: our show. Lee shows up with a print shirt, which
- 0:16Speaker 1: apparently is not a print shirt. It's a what? It's
- 0:19Speaker 1: an onk. It's the Prince logo.
- 0:21Speaker 2: It sounds like you keep saying print with a T.
- 0:24Speaker 3: What?
- 0:24Speaker 2: It sounds like you're saying a print.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Prince. You're getting a three by five done. That would
- 0:29Speaker 1: be a print.
- 0:30Speaker 2: That's what you're saying.
- 0:31Speaker 4: I'm saying Prince doesn't sound like it. Well, anyway, you
- 0:34Speaker 4: think you thought it was a Prince Prince. Now I
- 0:37Speaker 4: feel like I'm saying it wrong. Anyway, you thought it
- 0:41Speaker 4: was a Prince logo.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Yes, but it's an onk.
- 0:43Speaker 1: What's an onk and how do you spell it? O-N-K, dumbass.
- 0:47Speaker 1: What if it's not, Dick? Oh, yeah, see? Dick?
- 0:52Speaker 2: It's A-N-K-H, I believe.
- 0:55Speaker 1: What is there an H in there?
- 0:56Speaker 2: Because it's Egyptian.
- 0:57Speaker 1: What a waste of a letter. But also, it wasn't
- 1:00Speaker 1: in the beginning. You know what I mean? It's not
- 1:03Speaker 1: a honk. Anyway.
- 1:07Speaker 5: It is the ancient Egyptian symbol of life. And yes,
- 1:11Speaker 5: Prince took that symbol and He made it his name, right?
- 1:15Speaker 5: But he had little flourishes.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Do you remember that? When Prince didn't have a name anymore?
- 1:21Speaker 2: You guys are young.
- 1:21Speaker 4: He changed himself. He turned himself into a symbol. It's
- 1:24Speaker 4: like an Eminem song.
- 1:26Speaker 1: I don't know anything about that, actually. He turned himself
- 1:29Speaker 1: into a symbol? Yes.
- 1:30Speaker 2: He became the artist formerly known as Prince.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Oh, I've seen that before. Because he was a symbol. Okay. Yes.
- 1:35Speaker 5: I think it had to do with... He was having
- 1:37Speaker 5: a fight with his manager or... producer something like that
- 1:42Speaker 5: whoever owned i guess the rights to his music he
- 1:45Speaker 5: was like gonna fight with them i think and that's
- 1:47Speaker 5: why he did.
- 1:47Speaker 4: It very interesting yeah educational podcast so honestly is the
- 1:51Speaker 4: shirt supposed to be a prince logo or is it
- 1:54Speaker 4: supposed to be okay it's an onk and how does
- 1:57Speaker 4: how you spell onk a-u-n-k-h no.
- 2:00Speaker 2: But i think you need to use that on your trivia.
- 2:02Speaker 6: Yeah i'll do it later yeah yeah what was i
- 2:05Speaker 6: right a-u-n-k-h.
- 2:06Speaker 4: Now we'll just say it was okay maybe in Shorts
- 2:09Speaker 4: are memory loss, I'm telling you.
- 2:12Speaker 6: So just to get to, you bought the shirt thinking, oh, wow,
- 2:15Speaker 6: it's an Ankh shirt, not, oh, wow, it's a Prince shirt.
- 2:18Speaker 2: That's correct.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Okay, okay, just making sure.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Not to say I don't like Prince. I like Prince.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Prince is pretty great. Absolutely. Very underrated guitar player, might
- 2:26Speaker 1: I add. One of the best. Is he underrated? Yes.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I don't think he's underrated at all. I think he's
- 2:32Speaker 1: very underrated.
- 2:32Speaker 2: I think he's very known for his guitar playing.
- 2:34Speaker 3: I think so.
- 2:34Speaker 6: I think he's very known for his guitar playing, but
- 2:37Speaker 6: he's not like... When you talk about the best guitar
- 2:39Speaker 6: players ever, nobody says Prince right away. He's never anybody's
- 2:44Speaker 6: first choice.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Who do they say? It's always Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix. Yeah,
- 2:47Speaker 1: but I guess you would have to consider how old
- 2:49Speaker 1: these people are that you're asking. True.
- 2:51Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:52Speaker 4: Because I think that people my age would say Prince.
- 2:56Speaker 4: I've heard people say that.
- 2:57Speaker 1: How old are you again? 42. 42.
- 2:59Speaker 2: My husband would say Prince.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Really? That would be your first answer? I don't know
- 3:05Speaker 1: first answer. The best guitar player ever?
- 3:08Speaker 2: Top five.
- 3:10Speaker 6: He's a contender for the top five, for sure. By
- 3:12Speaker 6: the way, why'd you turn the lights on? You turn
- 3:14Speaker 6: the lights on a lot. Well, it's getting darker in here.
- 3:17Speaker 6: We're recording late. I know, but it's bright in here now.
- 3:21Speaker 6: I need to be able to see.
- 3:22Speaker 4: You have all these gadgets. You have screens and stuff.
- 3:25Speaker 4: It's dark over here. I like it darker.
- 3:27Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 3:29Speaker 2: You need some mood lighting.
- 3:30Speaker 3: I know.
- 3:30Speaker 4: I need to get better lights. He needs to be
- 3:32Speaker 4: in a better mood. And hopefully you're going to help
- 3:34Speaker 4: us with that this show.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Well, I hope so.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Good luck. It's been a year since you've been on
- 3:38Speaker 1: the show.
- 3:39Speaker 5: I know.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Well, I'm sorry. Since you were first on our show.
- 3:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:42Speaker 5: In fact, I was thinking about it. You guys didn't
- 3:44Speaker 5: do a whole spooky theme this month, did you?
- 3:46Speaker 4: Oh, we did that last year, didn't we? Well, there
- 3:50Speaker 4: was supposed to be a guest last week. So I'm
- 3:52Speaker 4: just recovering from the flu. And we had to cancel, unfortunately.
- 3:55Speaker 4: But that guest was going to be talking about spooky stuff.
- 3:57Speaker 4: And then I was going to have you on as
- 3:59Speaker 4: our resident witch.
- 4:00Speaker 1: And then a psychic Lori next week. Oh, she's coming
- 4:03Speaker 1: next week?
- 4:04Speaker 4: Yeah, so it was kind of like a theme for
- 4:05Speaker 4: the month. But we kind of screwed it up because
- 4:07Speaker 4: of me. So it's, I'm feeling much better now. Nice job.
- 4:11Speaker 4: Joel texted me the other day.
- 4:12Speaker 1: He goes, you alive.
- 4:14Speaker 6: That's how he checks in on me. I say that
- 4:17Speaker 6: to you every time you're sick.
- 4:18Speaker 1: I know you do. It's one of my favorite things
- 4:20Speaker 1: to receive. Thank you very much. Um, but yeah, straight
- 4:23Speaker 1: into the point, you know, you are. Yeah. I've never
- 4:25Speaker 1: met anyone. What can I say? Never literally have met
- 4:28Speaker 1: no one else like you. I agree.
- 4:31Speaker 2: That's very true.
- 4:32Speaker 4: But I mean that with all the love and with that,
- 4:34Speaker 4: let's start episode. I think we're doing 70.
- 4:36Speaker 1: If not, it's 71. Yeah. One of those. You decide, listeners.
- 4:42Speaker 3: The blazed and confused podcast with Becker and Joel. The
- 4:46Speaker 3: trivia podcast where truth.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Theory, and THC collide.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Let's spark your curiosity and light up some knowledge. The
- 4:57Speaker 3: blazed and confused podcast with Becker and Joel starts now.
- 5:03Speaker 1: This is Lee's third time on our show, by the way.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Third time.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Thanks for coming back. Hey, always a pleasure.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Even though Mike got me lost.
- 5:11Speaker 1: I didn't mean to.
- 5:12Speaker 2: It's all right.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Technology failed you. Okay.
- 5:16Speaker 2: We'll go with that.
- 5:16Speaker 1: We'll go with that. Thank you very much.
- 5:18Speaker 6: What navigation app are you using?
- 5:20Speaker 2: Google Maps.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Oh, there's your problem. I'm a Waze guy. Oh, that's
- 5:23Speaker 1: even worse. What do you use? Apple Maps.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Oh, that's garbage.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it's shitty too.
- 5:29Speaker 5: I have an iPhone. I mean, I have Apple everything.
- 5:31Speaker 5: I can't stand Apple Maps.
- 5:33Speaker 6: Yeah, Apple unveiled some new products last week.
- 5:36Speaker 1: You know, I told you, I'm still kind of salty
- 5:37Speaker 1: I didn't get the job at the Apple store. I
- 5:40Speaker 1: did like two rounds of interviews and then nothing.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Wow.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I wonder what the deciding factor was. I don't know.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Did you go in there all like, I need a
- 5:46Speaker 1: fucking job. No, no. You think that I'm abrasive like that,
- 5:51Speaker 1: but I'm very professional. You are.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Why would you want to work at the Apple store?
- 5:55Speaker 1: I don't know. Well, I wanted to work at the
- 5:56Speaker 1: Apple store a long time ago, like 10 years ago. Yeah.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Now I could give a fuck. And there's too many
- 6:00Speaker 1: iPhones now and there's too many options and colors. And yeah,
- 6:04Speaker 1: I don't know. I used to know the ins and
- 6:06Speaker 1: outs of all the products. And now. There's too many
- 6:09Speaker 1: of them.
- 6:09Speaker 4: Again, he was like the radio station, like whiz kid
- 6:12Speaker 4: is when it came to technology and stuff like that.
- 6:14Speaker 4: And he always had a new iPhone, a new Mac
- 6:16Speaker 4: book or whatever to show off.
- 6:18Speaker 1: I like technology. And now he's a part of the
- 6:21Speaker 1: iPhone upgrade club.
- 6:22Speaker 3: I am.
- 6:23Speaker 1: It's bad.
- 6:23Speaker 6: Apple upgrade, which is really bad. I mean, it's financially
- 6:27Speaker 6: very not smart because you're like leasing your phone.
- 6:31Speaker 1: So you really don't even own it. No, it's, crazy.
- 6:34Speaker 1: I mean, it's just, it's insane. It's insane. Something you
- 6:36Speaker 1: would do.
- 6:37Speaker 2: That's a big environmental waste.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Everything's a big environment.
- 6:40Speaker 6: How do you feel about yourself? Again, I want to
- 6:43Speaker 6: work at the Apple store. That's how I feel about myself.
- 6:46Speaker 2: You know, I worked in retail a lot and that
- 6:47Speaker 2: just seems like hell.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Really?
- 6:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:50Speaker 6: I think as far as retail is concerned, the Apple
- 6:52Speaker 6: store would be one of the better places to work.
- 6:53Speaker 6: Wouldn't you rather work there than like You know, folding
- 6:57Speaker 6: clothes or shit, walking around.
- 6:58Speaker 2: I have folded clothes.
- 6:59Speaker 1: There's nothing wrong. That's Zen. That's Zen. It sounds kind
- 7:02Speaker 1: of relaxing.
- 7:03Speaker 3: What?
- 7:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:04Speaker 6: But you're also, you don't like relaxing. You think walking
- 7:06Speaker 6: around folding clothes is relaxing?
- 7:08Speaker 3: It is.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Oh my God.
- 7:09Speaker 6: No, I'd rather be in a crowded Apple store than
- 7:11Speaker 6: walk around and fold. I don't even like folding my
- 7:13Speaker 6: own clothes. So what would you do at the Apple store?
- 7:14Speaker 6: Would you be like tech support or would you want
- 7:16Speaker 6: to be selling people phones?
- 7:17Speaker 1: No, you got to be wicked smart to be tech support.
- 7:19Speaker 1: I couldn't do that shit. So you would sell phones? Essentially? Allegedly.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Talk us into the new iPhone right now. See, that's
- 7:24Speaker 1: just it. If it was 10 years ago, I could
- 7:26Speaker 1: do it, no problem. But now it's like... What was
- 7:28Speaker 1: the iPhone 10 years ago? Do that one.
- 7:32Speaker 6: Now you're putting me on the spot. There is some
- 7:37Speaker 6: new Apple products that they unveiled last week. There's now
- 7:40Speaker 6: a HomePod that has an iPad thing attached to it.
- 7:43Speaker 1: See? Sort of sounds like you knew what he was
- 7:45Speaker 1: talking about. That's a little 50-50 there. It comes in
- 7:49Speaker 1: two options. There's one that has a speaker... thing. I
- 7:53Speaker 1: keep using the word thing. Yeah. Fuck.
- 7:55Speaker 2: You're selling it.
- 7:57Speaker 6: There's one that has this round speaker attached to it.
- 8:01Speaker 6: I got one foot out the door. There's another version
- 8:03Speaker 6: of it that you can mount it right onto the wall,
- 8:06Speaker 6: which honestly I think looks pretty cool because it's like
- 8:08Speaker 6: a screen that you just like attach to your wall.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Okay. But it's supposedly. But there's a but.
- 8:14Speaker 3: All right.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Well, not a but. No, no, no, no. Okay. That
- 8:16Speaker 1: wasn't a bad but. It was a good but. It
- 8:18Speaker 1: was a good but. Here's the but. All right.
- 8:20Speaker 6: But it's supposedly supposed to be able to control your
- 8:22Speaker 6: whole smart home.
- 8:24Speaker 3: Oh.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Your entire smart home. It's like the epicenter for your home.
- 8:29Speaker 1: For your home. Yeah. You can FaceTime on there. There's
- 8:31Speaker 1: a camera. You can get your calendar and your picture
- 8:33Speaker 1: and all your shit on there.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Is your home smart?
- 8:37Speaker 1: It is, but you know, it's the owner's not good one.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I was waiting for that. Um, it is, but honestly,
- 8:45Speaker 1: a lot of my light bulbs are like older and
- 8:49Speaker 1: they don't respond as well anymore. So I ended up
- 8:52Speaker 1: just like going on my phone and doing.
- 8:53Speaker 6: It, which is so annoying because you know, when you
- 8:55Speaker 6: can't find your phone, then it's like, Oh my God,
- 8:56Speaker 6: I can't even turn my lights on because I don't
- 8:58Speaker 6: have my phone. So I should really just go back
- 9:02Speaker 6: to the old fashioned light switch, like a normal human being.
- 9:05Speaker 6: But Haven't gotten there quite yet.
- 9:08Speaker 1: I'm gonna.
- 9:08Speaker 2: It's very dystopian.
- 9:09Speaker 5: So you're sitting in your living room going, Alexa, turn
- 9:12Speaker 5: off the lights or Siri, I guess.
- 9:14Speaker 1: No, I'm saying Alexa, turn off the lights.
- 9:15Speaker 6: And it's like, Oh, it just went off.
- 9:23Speaker 1: That's why you should buy it folks. Half the time
- 9:25Speaker 1: it works, but that's just it. It works now.
- 9:27Speaker 6: But half the time it's like, half the time it's like,
- 9:29Speaker 6: living room, not responding. I'm like, what the, why?
- 9:36Speaker 2: So then you're arguing with your smart home.
- 9:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:40Speaker 1: It's yeah. Amazing.
- 9:41Speaker 6: Again, I should just go back to the regular old
- 9:43Speaker 6: light switch. Do you have like smart home devices?
- 9:45Speaker 4: I have a couple of smart light bulbs so I
- 9:47Speaker 4: can just, you know, change the color and set timers.
- 9:49Speaker 1: You do it on your phone too, right?
- 9:51Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 9:51Speaker 1: Yeah. I don't know.
- 9:52Speaker 4: There's these people that say that. It's not throughout my, well,
- 9:54Speaker 4: I guess it is kind of throughout my whole house.
- 9:55Speaker 6: There's people that say that, oh, I can't believe you
- 9:58Speaker 6: have one of those Alexa things.
- 10:00Speaker 1: And government's listening to you on that. I'm like, you
- 10:02Speaker 1: know what? Let them fucking listen. I don't care. Well,
- 10:05Speaker 1: maybe not the government. Some foreign entity wants to listen. What?
- 10:07Speaker 6: Well, they want to listen to me. Sit around on
- 10:09Speaker 6: the couch and snore and listen to music. Like that's
- 10:11Speaker 6: all I do around here.
- 10:12Speaker 1: So I'm fine. Let them listen.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Well, your phones are listening to you anyways.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Who cares? All right.
- 10:18Speaker 4: Happens all the time right to all of us when
- 10:20Speaker 4: you're talking about something and then all of a sudden
- 10:21Speaker 4: three minutes later you're on your phone scrolling and there's
- 10:24Speaker 4: something that you were just talking about is right in
- 10:26Speaker 4: front of you.
- 10:27Speaker 5: I'll be thinking about something yeah and an ad will
- 10:29Speaker 5: come up i'm not even joking.
- 10:31Speaker 4: How does it happen i don't know they're in our
- 10:34Speaker 4: brains and stuff it's the aliens mark zuckerberg prick man
- 10:38Speaker 4: i'll tell.
- 10:40Speaker 1: You yeah have you seen pictures of him recently.
- 10:43Speaker 5: Have you seen pictures recently of the, I think it's
- 10:46Speaker 5: called the Howers, Howsboro chin and face.
- 10:52Speaker 2: It's like, okay. So, you know, back in like England,
- 10:55Speaker 2: they would all inbreed. Okay.
- 10:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:58Speaker 2: To keep the Royal line going.
- 11:00Speaker 1: All right. Yeah. Yeah. I did not know that. Yeah.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:06Speaker 5: And so there's this particular family, I think it's Howsboro
- 11:10Speaker 5: or something like that. And I don't know why, but
- 11:12Speaker 5: they've been coming up on my social media a lot lately.
- 11:15Speaker 5: It looks like Zuckerberg.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Really?
- 11:18Speaker 3: Yes.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Very strange. He got a.
- 11:20Speaker 6: Bad haircut now. That's my comment on Mark Zuckerberg.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Did he ever have a good one?
- 11:25Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 11:26Speaker 6: See, that's very good point because it's not like the
- 11:28Speaker 6: original haircut was good by any stretch of the imagination,
- 11:31Speaker 6: but the new one, it looks a little too modern.
- 11:33Speaker 1: You know what I mean? It looks like a high
- 11:35Speaker 1: school kid haircut, like the broccoli look. Oh no. The broccoli.
- 11:39Speaker 6: When I say the broccoli look, you know what I'm
- 11:40Speaker 6: talking about? I know exactly what you're talking about.
- 11:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:43Speaker 1: I don't know. Everyone has that. Yeah. But Mark Zuckerberg,
- 11:47Speaker 1: he doesn't need to have that. Leave it to the kids.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Leave it to the kids.
- 11:50Speaker 4: So I think one of the times that you came
- 11:52Speaker 4: on here, uh, Lee, we did like some kind of
- 11:55Speaker 4: I think it was in the beginning of the year
- 11:56Speaker 4: you came here to bring in good energy, sweep out
- 12:00Speaker 4: the bad, right?
- 12:00Speaker 2: Cleanse the space.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Yeah, cleansing the space.
- 12:03Speaker 6: Why don't you give your little intro first as to
- 12:05Speaker 6: who you are.
- 12:07Speaker 1: And what you do? Oh, yeah. Remind folks. Tell people
- 12:09Speaker 1: who you are.
- 12:10Speaker 2: I'm Lee, the witch, apparently. That is how I'm known
- 12:12Speaker 2: on the show.
- 12:12Speaker 1: But you do more than that. You do Reiki.
- 12:14Speaker 2: I do Reiki. I am.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Massage therapist.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Massage therapist. Keep going.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Trainer.
- 12:20Speaker 5: Yes.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Physical trainer, I meant to say.
- 12:22Speaker 2: That's correct.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Um.
- 12:24Speaker 1: And you do yoga too, don't you?
- 12:26Speaker 5: Yeah. In fact, in fact, on October 30th, the gym
- 12:31Speaker 5: I work at, we're having a goth yoga class, 6 p.m.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Really?
- 12:36Speaker 1: Yes.
- 12:36Speaker 2: I'm teaching it.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Are you still at the same place? Jiva Fitness 2.0? Yeah.
- 12:40Speaker 1: I remember everything. There you go. Very good. I remember.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Very good. And you know what? I remember that you
- 12:45Speaker 1: don't eat sugar. I, you are right.
- 12:48Speaker 4: And I brought you a sugar-free snack if you want
- 12:50Speaker 4: to have it on the munchie minute.
- 12:51Speaker 1: But anyway, I was mindful. I remembered.
- 12:54Speaker 2: That was good.
- 12:56Speaker 1: You want a trophy? Yes, I do. Please.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Nice person.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Thank you. But anyway, Lee, the witch, and you do
- 13:02Speaker 1: all of those other things. What's been going on with you?
- 13:05Speaker 4: Uh, nothing, you know, so you're still doing all those things.
- 13:09Speaker 4: People can book with you too.
- 13:10Speaker 2: Oh yeah, absolutely.
- 13:11Speaker 5: You can go to GV fitness.com. Scroll down to the
- 13:14Speaker 5: bottom of the first page. You'll find our booking app,
- 13:16Speaker 5: which is called Team Up. You can book anything on
- 13:19Speaker 5: there you want to do. Group fitness, massage.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Right on.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Yeah, all that.
- 13:24Speaker 1: All right, so we're going to bless my home or something?
- 13:26Speaker 2: So, all right. So Mike said, do something that's going
- 13:30Speaker 2: to be, we need some positivity.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Yeah, everything's so depressing. I know. I know.
- 13:35Speaker 2: It's true. So actually, yeah, I brought some candles.
- 13:38Speaker 5: We're going to do a little.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Candle magic today.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Oh, yeah? Yeah. Cool.
- 13:45Speaker 6: Are we doing that now or are we saving that
- 13:47Speaker 6: for in a little bit? I think we should do
- 13:48Speaker 6: the wraparound first.
- 13:49Speaker 4: Yeah, let's do the wraparound first. How about we close
- 13:53Speaker 4: out the show with that?
- 13:54Speaker 1: Sure. Is that cool?
- 13:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Right on. Okay, no. We'll move on. What was that?
- 14:00Speaker 1: The game begins in three, two, one.
- 14:06Speaker 6: All right, Leigh, what's an adult female horse called?
- 14:10Speaker 4: Mare.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Yeah. Wow, very good, yes. What does UFO stand for?
- 14:14Speaker 2: Unidentified Flying Object.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Yes, yes. Finish the phrase, you can't teach an old dog.
- 14:21Speaker 2: New tricks.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Yes, wow. How often does a leap year occur?
- 14:26Speaker 2: Seven years?
- 14:27Speaker 1: No. What's the outer layer of a tooth called? Enamel. Yes.
- 14:33Speaker 1: A bibliophile is someone who loves what? Books.
- 14:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Which member of the Beatles are still living? Members. There's two. Yeah.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Ringo and Paul.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Yes. Very good. Yes. How many items are there in
- 14:48Speaker 1: a baker's dozen? 13.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:50Speaker 1: In food, what's the word deli short for?
- 14:53Speaker 2: Delicatessen.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 14:54Speaker 4: What well-known code is named after the co-inventor of the telegraph?
- 14:59Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Say that again.
- 15:00Speaker 1: What well-known code is named after the co-inventor of the telegraph?
- 15:03Speaker 1: A telegram? No.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Oh, Morse code.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Yeah. Right at the end. Very good. Very smart. That
- 15:10Speaker 1: was very good. Wait, wait, wait.
- 15:12Speaker 3: Wow.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Leap year. Three years?
- 15:16Speaker 1: We're looking for four years. Four.
- 15:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Four years. Man, you did really good.
- 15:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Thanks. Super smart. Didn't you get everything else correct?
- 15:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:23Speaker 2: I just didn't understand that last question for some reason.
- 15:26Speaker 1: An adult female horse is called a mare. I didn't
- 15:29Speaker 1: know that. I never knew that. I just learned about that.
- 15:31Speaker 1: A mare.
- 15:31Speaker 2: You learn something new every day.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Yeah. Wow. Now we know. UFO.
- 15:36Speaker 6: Unidentified flying object. Have you ever seen a UFO? A
- 15:41Speaker 6: UFO could be a weird looking bird up in the sky.
- 15:44Speaker 6: You know, unidentified flying object.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Yeah, true. You can't teach an old dog new tricks.
- 15:49Speaker 1: That was the hardest question on the list there. Yeah, really? Really?
- 15:53Speaker 1: Who came up with that? I just found it on
- 15:55Speaker 1: the internet. But I thought for a second that he
- 15:57Speaker 1: might not know it. I was like, I don't know.
- 15:59Speaker 1: You're young and, you know. Dumb? I didn't even say it,
- 16:02Speaker 1: but yeah.
- 16:03Speaker 6: I think even younger people than me know you can't
- 16:06Speaker 6: teach an old dog new tricks.
- 16:07Speaker 1: All right, fine.
- 16:08Speaker 6: How often does a leap year occur? Every four years.
- 16:10Speaker 6: The outer layer of your tooth is enamel.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Mm-hmm. A Bibliophile. Yep. Bibliophile. As someone who loves books.
- 16:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Bibliophile. Bibliophile. Like an Irish book lover. I watched this
- 16:24Speaker 1: crazy episode of.
- 16:25Speaker 2: What's your name, young man?
- 16:26Speaker 1: I'm Bibliophile. Bibliophile.
- 16:31Speaker 6: I watched this crazy episode of The Twilight Zone, all
- 16:34Speaker 6: about this dude that apparently he was a bibliophile, and
- 16:38Speaker 6: all he ever wanted to do was sit around and
- 16:40Speaker 6: read his book all the time.
- 16:42Speaker 1: And then.
- 16:43Speaker 6: I guess like nuclear war came and the world came
- 16:45Speaker 6: to an end, but he was kind of like happy
- 16:47Speaker 6: about it because he just went down to his little
- 16:49Speaker 6: bunker with all his books and just sat there and read.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Wow.
- 16:52Speaker 6: And then the end of the episode is his, him
- 16:54Speaker 6: coming out of the bunker and the world is all
- 16:56Speaker 6: like mega fucked, but he has his book.
- 16:59Speaker 1: So, wow. It's a crazy episode.
- 17:01Speaker 2: I thought at the end of that, he breaks his glasses.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Oh, oh, that's right. That's what happens. Spoiler alert. Oh, fuck. Yeah,
- 17:08Speaker 1: we really just gave that away. Oh, that's right. He
- 17:11Speaker 1: breaks his glasses. Yes. What's it called? I don't know.
- 17:14Speaker 1: The bibliophile episode.
- 17:17Speaker 2: From the Twilight Zone.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Gotcha. Well, You guys don't have to watch that anymore.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I have.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Okay, very good. You remembered the ending. I did not
- 17:25Speaker 1: remember the ending. That's the whole point. That's right. Now
- 17:29Speaker 1: I remember it. It's all coming back to me now.
- 17:33Speaker 1: What else did we learn?
- 17:35Speaker 3: Books.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Yes. The Beatles.
- 17:37Speaker 4: Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. I'm surprised you know who
- 17:39Speaker 4: the Beatles are there, Becker.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Very good. George Scott and Ringo and the guy.
- 17:43Speaker 4: Scott.
- 17:43Speaker 1: George Scott, Ringo and the guy.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Wait, as in the actor, George Scott?
- 17:50Speaker 1: Yeah, that too.
- 17:51Speaker 6: How many items are in a baker's dozen? I would
- 17:54Speaker 6: have said 12, but I guess a baker's dozen is
- 17:57Speaker 6: just one more than a regular dozen?
- 17:59Speaker 1: Correct. That's exactly what it is.
- 18:00Speaker 2: As the baker throws in one more.
- 18:01Speaker 1: I'm learning. Lucky number 13. He goes, is that what
- 18:06Speaker 1: it is?
- 18:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:08Speaker 1: But why? Is this like an extra one because.
- 18:10Speaker 5: I have a theory on that because the first one
- 18:13Speaker 5: is always bad. When you bake a batch, the first
- 18:16Speaker 5: one is bad. So he throws in the bad one.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Huh. So it's like the practice one. Yeah. All right.
- 18:23Speaker 2: I mean, it's not necessarily bad, but like it's not
- 18:25Speaker 2: up to their standards.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Gotcha. Gotcha.
- 18:27Speaker 2: That's my theory.
- 18:28Speaker 1: I like that. In food, the word deli is short
- 18:31Speaker 1: for a delicatessen. Yeah. Never would have got... What the
- 18:34Speaker 1: hell is a delicatessen? You've never seen that word? Delicatessen?
- 18:38Speaker 1: On a restaurant or a deli or anything like that? Oh, man. Really? No. Wow.
- 18:42Speaker 1: That's a big word.
- 18:43Speaker 2: That's why they shortened it to deli.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. I don't blame them. What else did we
- 18:49Speaker 1: do there? Oh, Morse code. Just like in Titanic. The well-known...
- 18:53Speaker 1: What well-known code is named after the co-inventor of the telegraph?
- 18:57Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Henry Morse. Was that his name? Probably. Maybe. Hopefully. Probably not.
- 19:03Speaker 2: Maybe his first name was Morris.
- 19:04Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 19:06Speaker 3: Maybe.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Maybe his name's Morris.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Maybe it was Morris O'File.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Well, now we have to look it up. Let's find
- 19:13Speaker 1: out his real name. Is it John Morris? Samuel Morris. Samuel.
- 19:17Speaker 1: That's right. Yeah. That's not Henry. That was close. Blazed
- 19:22Speaker 1: and confused. Random thoughts. All right. I read Becker's random thoughts.
- 19:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Celeste... Is that the word? Yeah.
- 19:30Speaker 6: Celeste brand frozen pizza have been discontinued. They weren't that great,
- 19:36Speaker 6: but I know a lot of people like them, so
- 19:38Speaker 6: I thought it was worth mentioning.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:41Speaker 4: You never had the Celeste frozen pizzas in the grocery store? No,
- 19:44Speaker 4: but man, Celeste does not sound like a good word.
- 19:47Speaker 4: Used to be like Mama Celeste. I think the brand
- 19:49Speaker 4: was back in the day. It sounds like incest. That's
- 19:51Speaker 4: what it sounds like.
- 19:52Speaker 2: It's a woman's name.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Yeah. Geez, that's unfortunate. Celeste. Not in Celeste. In Celeste.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Sounds even worse. That sounds like a movie from the 70s.
- 20:04Speaker 1: In Celeste brand frozen pizza. In Celeste. Anyway, that's been
- 20:09Speaker 1: around for a really long time and you can't buy
- 20:12Speaker 1: them anymore. I love a good frozen pizza. What's your
- 20:14Speaker 1: favorite kind? What's your favorite brand? Honestly, I get the
- 20:17Speaker 1: store brand. Yeah? With the stuffed crust. Can't go wrong
- 20:20Speaker 1: with the giant brand stuffed crust. However... Dude, try a
- 20:22Speaker 1: Wegmans brand. Really? Yeah, very good. Very good. Wegmans is
- 20:27Speaker 1: a little overwhelming for me.
- 20:28Speaker 3: All right.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Well, you just go in there and get a pizza.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Don't you like people overloaded when you go in there?
- 20:32Speaker 1: Cause I am.
- 20:33Speaker 5: It's the choo choo train, isn't it?
- 20:35Speaker 1: The train that there's a train in that.
- 20:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:38Speaker 1: I haven't noticed that now.
- 20:39Speaker 2: How could you not?
- 20:41Speaker 1: I avoid. Oh, well, then you wouldn't notice.
- 20:44Speaker 4: He avoids trains. He doesn't like them either. No, I
- 20:46Speaker 4: love trains, but I avoid... Wegmans.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Wegmans. Yeah.
- 20:50Speaker 6: I like Wegmans. Too much going on. Too many damn people. Also,
- 20:53Speaker 6: the layout is weird. I can't ever find anything. The
- 20:55Speaker 6: few times that I have been in there... It is strange.
- 20:57Speaker 6: I feel like I'm walking around looking for the simplest things.
- 21:00Speaker 6: You can't find them anywhere.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Layouts. I agree. Weird.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I also agree. And they don't seem to have...
- 21:05Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 21:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:07Speaker 1: I don't like that. It's like you have cereal in
- 21:09Speaker 1: the one aisle. They have soap in the next. I
- 21:11Speaker 1: don't know. That is weird. That is weird. However, though,
- 21:14Speaker 1: I will admit it's been a long time since I've
- 21:16Speaker 1: been in a grocery store. Oh, yeah. I guess you
- 21:18Speaker 1: get your stuff prepared for you. No, I don't get. Well,
- 21:22Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, somebody go. It's a giant direct. He
- 21:24Speaker 1: has someone that fetches him. Oh, wow. Don't make it that. Yeah. However, though,
- 21:30Speaker 1: apparently giant system was like hacked.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:33Speaker 6: So now that's been shut down for what happened a
- 21:36Speaker 6: week now.
- 21:37Speaker 2: I don't know, but I did hear that.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. Their app was hacked or something. So you
- 21:41Speaker 1: can't order groceries. So everyone has to, I guess I'm
- 21:44Speaker 1: going to go inside the store.
- 21:47Speaker 2: What a sacrifice.
- 21:49Speaker 4: Or you're going to subscribe to another store. Maybe I
- 21:52Speaker 4: have to give Wegmans another shot.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Yeah, really?
- 21:55Speaker 6: Oh, that's funny. Uh, what else is on there? Uh,
- 21:58Speaker 6: I read Becker's random thoughts. Did you know there are
- 22:00Speaker 6: restaurants out there still charging for refills, right?
- 22:04Speaker 1: What did I say?
- 22:04Speaker 6: Every time I read your random thoughts, it's always you
- 22:07Speaker 6: bitching about something at a restaurant.
- 22:08Speaker 1: And now I'm doing it on purpose every time. He's
- 22:10Speaker 1: one of those.
- 22:11Speaker 6: Every time he goes out to eat, he's got to
- 22:12Speaker 6: bitch and moan and complain about something.
- 22:14Speaker 2: You know what's funny?
- 22:15Speaker 5: You guys are the two youngest 80-year-olds I've ever met
- 22:18Speaker 5: in my whole life.
- 22:19Speaker 1: He's older than me, though, right? Come on. Huh?
- 22:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:23Speaker 1: No, no, no. He's grumpy. There's restaurants out there still
- 22:29Speaker 1: charging for refills.
- 22:30Speaker 6: I feel like if you're the kind of place that
- 22:32Speaker 6: charges for refills that you should notify the guests right away.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Don't you think so? Yeah.
- 22:36Speaker 4: Because most places now have free refills. You get a soda,
- 22:39Speaker 4: you pay $ 3. 50 for it, but you can have as
- 22:41Speaker 4: much as you want. That's crazy too.
- 22:42Speaker 1: $ 3. 50 for a soda. That's mostly freaking ice, you know?
- 22:46Speaker 6: 350 for a soda that cost them all of 20
- 22:49Speaker 6: cents to make.
- 22:50Speaker 1: I know. Not even.
- 22:50Speaker 6: I'm telling you, every time we go out to eat,
- 22:52Speaker 6: he's got to send food back or complain about something.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Oh my God. That is not true. That is not true.
- 22:59Speaker 2: Oh my God.
- 23:00Speaker 1: You send food back? Yes, you do. No, I do not.
- 23:02Speaker 2: You can't. You can't.
- 23:04Speaker 1: I don't. He's lying. He's lying. He's lying. I don't
- 23:08Speaker 1: send food back. I don't think I'm lying. But I agree.
- 23:10Speaker 1: If you do send food back.
- 23:12Speaker 2: You're asking for it.
- 23:13Speaker 1: Yeah, you're going to get spit. At best. Yeah. It
- 23:18Speaker 1: smelled like skunk when you arrived today, right?
- 23:20Speaker 2: I didn't think so.
- 23:21Speaker 1: It was actually, well, it was probably us.
- 23:24Speaker 4: I thought it smelled a little bit more like skunk
- 23:26Speaker 4: because you had a skunk issue recently.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Oh, I had a little bit of a skunk issue.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Oh, Lucy got sprayed.
- 23:31Speaker 1: Yeah, Lucy got sprayed.
- 23:33Speaker 4: But it was funny because he texted me. I was
- 23:34Speaker 4: really sick this past week. I forget what night you
- 23:37Speaker 4: texted me, but it was like midnight. And he was like, dot, dot, dot.
- 23:40Speaker 4: He's like, dude, what the fuck? He goes, Lucy got
- 23:44Speaker 4: sprayed by a skunk. I was just about to go
- 23:46Speaker 4: to fucking bed.
- 23:48Speaker 1: But he woke me up. Amazing. Yeah, but it was fine.
- 23:51Speaker 2: If he has to suffer, you have to suffer.
- 23:53Speaker 1: I know, exactly. Very funny. And then I texted him back.
- 23:56Speaker 1: I was like, I can imagine your face right now.
- 23:59Speaker 1: I can just imagine how angry he was at that moment.
- 24:02Speaker 6: Yeah, I was sitting down here in the studio and
- 24:06Speaker 6: right around midnight, 1230, I said, all right, Lucy, let's
- 24:08Speaker 6: go out and then we'll go to bed. And this
- 24:11Speaker 6: is like the blessing and the curse of being able
- 24:12Speaker 6: to just open the door and take the dog out
- 24:14Speaker 6: now because I have a fenced-in yard.
- 24:16Speaker 1: So I'm not like out there watching her or anything.
- 24:18Speaker 1: Not that if I was out there that I would
- 24:19Speaker 1: have been able to do anything to stop it.
- 24:21Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 24:21Speaker 1: But yeah.
- 24:22Speaker 6: Then after two minutes, she was out there doing her thing.
- 24:26Speaker 6: I opened the door up. She came running in and
- 24:27Speaker 6: I knew right away. I'm like, Oh my God.
- 24:30Speaker 1: No. Immediately. I go to my computer, chat GPT. I'm like,
- 24:36Speaker 1: Oh my God. My dog just got sprayed by a skunk.
- 24:39Speaker 1: What do I do? Well, the first thing that it
- 24:41Speaker 1: says is keep your dog outside. Meanwhile, Meanwhile, she's fucking
- 24:47Speaker 1: running around bloody murder. I mean, jumping on everything. I mean,
- 24:51Speaker 1: I'm like, ah.
- 24:53Speaker 6: Then I couldn't find her leash to like get her
- 24:55Speaker 6: to corral her back outside. Um, but I was able
- 24:58Speaker 6: to get her in the bathroom and then like, you know,
- 25:00Speaker 6: give you instructions about a homemade, uh, like soap concoction
- 25:05Speaker 6: thing with.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Dawn dish soap and hydrogen peroxide. I think that's what
- 25:10Speaker 1: it was. Yeah. Baking soda or powder. None of that
- 25:14Speaker 1: except for the dish soap. Yeah. So I scrubbed her
- 25:17Speaker 1: with the dish soap. I got it.
- 25:18Speaker 6: She was okay after like a good hour bath of
- 25:22Speaker 6: me scrubbing the, you know, what out of her.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Yeah. But then, yeah, the next day I went to
- 25:27Speaker 1: PetSmart and had somebody that knows what they're doing really
- 25:29Speaker 1: give her a bath. And now I don't know. I don't,
- 25:33Speaker 1: she doesn't smell like anymore.
- 25:35Speaker 6: When I come home and walk back in, I'm like,
- 25:37Speaker 6: for two seconds, I'm like, just ever so slightly.
- 25:40Speaker 1: It's a hint. It's a hint. Ever so slightly. Could
- 25:42Speaker 1: have been worse. Yeah. Did not want to deal with that.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Could have been you. You ever been sprayed by a skunk? Oh,
- 25:48Speaker 1: hell no. I know people that have been. What? Of course.
- 25:51Speaker 1: It happens to people all the time. Yeah, well, you
- 25:53Speaker 1: must be fucking with it then, though. I don't think so.
- 25:55Speaker 1: I think they're just, they just spray if they feel threatened.
- 25:58Speaker 1: Oh really?
- 25:59Speaker 4: I had two skunks that lived underneath my old shed.
- 26:02Speaker 4: I used to just blame them for the shed smelling
- 26:03Speaker 4: the way it did. But like my dad used to
- 26:06Speaker 4: come over and be like, it smells like skunks.
- 26:08Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, they live under the shed. It was
- 26:11Speaker 1: a line. But anyway, I read Becker's random thoughts. Joel.
- 26:16Speaker 3: Yes.
- 26:17Speaker 6: Uh, have you ever enjoyed dressing up for Halloween? What
- 26:20Speaker 6: was your favorite costume from childhood?
- 26:23Speaker 1: Uh, sure.
- 26:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:24Speaker 1: I used to like Halloween. I don't, I still like Halloween.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Do you dress up this year?
- 26:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:28Speaker 1: Well, I'm going to be one of the ghostbusters for
- 26:31Speaker 1: my cousin's wedding in two weeks. That's right. It's a
- 26:34Speaker 1: Halloween wedding. Yeah.
- 26:36Speaker 6: It's funny. It's my cousin, my other cousin, my one
- 26:40Speaker 6: cousin's getting married.
- 26:41Speaker 1: His sister is, I'm going to be the ghostbusters with
- 26:45Speaker 1: her and her fiance. So the three of us are
- 26:47Speaker 1: all going to be ghostbusters. Gotcha.
- 26:49Speaker 6: Like, I don't know, two, three weeks ago she texted
- 26:51Speaker 6: me and she goes, maybe we could be the Ghostbusters
- 26:54Speaker 6: and you could be one of the ghosts.
- 26:56Speaker 1: And I'm like, I love that. Maybe, I don't know.
- 26:59Speaker 6: Send me, send me some costumes. So she sends me
- 27:01Speaker 6: some of these costumes, right? Like the marshmallow fucking thing.
- 27:04Speaker 6: I'm like, do you know me?
- 27:08Speaker 1: I'm not wearing this. Amazing.
- 27:09Speaker 6: And then she goes, oh, maybe you would like this
- 27:10Speaker 6: one better. And the next one she sent was that
- 27:12Speaker 6: green fucking- The Slimer.
- 27:14Speaker 3: The Slimer, yes.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Clearly, you don't know nothing about me because I ain't
- 27:18Speaker 1: wearing that. The whole night? I mean, come on. At
- 27:22Speaker 1: least for like an hour and then- No, I'm not
- 27:24Speaker 1: doing that. I'm not doing that. No, sorry. I have
- 27:28Speaker 1: plenty of costumes. There was plenty of costumes that I
- 27:30Speaker 1: had that I could have worn on my own, but no.
- 27:32Speaker 6: Here's the other thing, man. costumes are expensive nowadays. Maybe
- 27:36Speaker 6: I feel the pain of the ladies. Now you always
- 27:38Speaker 6: hear girls complain that they have to spend all this
- 27:40Speaker 6: money because they got.
- 27:41Speaker 1: To get a new outfit for every time. Well, Hey,
- 27:43Speaker 1: now I understand because I'm spending $ 70 on something I'm
- 27:46Speaker 1: going to wear one time. You save it for the
- 27:49Speaker 1: next year. Oh yeah. Do you get into Halloween?
- 27:51Speaker 2: I mean, okay. So yes and no. Like, uh, we
- 27:55Speaker 2: used to try to do the trick or treat thing,
- 27:57Speaker 2: but we kind of live on a dead end. So
- 27:58Speaker 2: no one really comes down our way. You know what
- 28:00Speaker 2: I mean?
- 28:02Speaker 5: Um, and, um, I mean, like, yes, I love it,
- 28:07Speaker 5: but at the same time, it's not the same as
- 28:10Speaker 5: when you're a kid.
- 28:11Speaker 2: Like, Halloween is for kids.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly. I agree.
- 28:14Speaker 2: When you're a kid, it's like the time of your life, right?
- 28:17Speaker 5: And then, unless you have kids, then that's, you know,
- 28:21Speaker 5: I guess, fun.
- 28:22Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't have kids.
- 28:23Speaker 4: Speaking of living on the end of the road, I
- 28:25Speaker 4: kind of have the similar situation in my neighborhood. I'm
- 28:27Speaker 4: like right toward the highway at the edge of our neighborhood.
- 28:31Speaker 4: And the first year I lived there, how I met
- 28:33Speaker 4: my two very good friends, Patrick and Erica, who are
- 28:35Speaker 4: my neighbors, is I was sitting outside. outside of the
- 28:39Speaker 4: back of the house facing their house. And I was
- 28:42Speaker 4: waiting for kids to come and I had, I was
- 28:44Speaker 4: drinking an adult beverage and I had some candy for
- 28:47Speaker 4: them and I was listening to spooky music and I
- 28:48Speaker 4: was just chilling.
- 28:49Speaker 1: I like giving out candy. I think it's fun.
- 28:51Speaker 4: And then my two neighbors walked up from a, they
- 28:53Speaker 4: were taking a walk and they walked up and they
- 28:55Speaker 4: were like.
- 28:55Speaker 1: Hey, just so you know, no kids come here. And
- 28:58Speaker 1: I was like, Oh really?
- 28:59Speaker 6: I was sitting out here like a dickhead for like
- 29:02Speaker 6: 45 minutes waiting to get one kid. And then I
- 29:04Speaker 6: was like, Oh, I guess I'll go inside.
- 29:06Speaker 1: And Yeah.
- 29:06Speaker 4: So I don't get to give candy. I don't get
- 29:08Speaker 4: to give candy out, which is kind of a bummer.
- 29:09Speaker 4: I like Halloween. I went to a Halloween party last night.
- 29:11Speaker 4: I dressed up as dead air. I had this cool.
- 29:13Speaker 1: I thought it was a clever idea that it would
- 29:15Speaker 1: be dead air. And I was just a dead radio DJ.
- 29:18Speaker 1: Very cool. Yeah, that's good. That's a good idea. I
- 29:20Speaker 1: even made the shirt and everything. I like that.
- 29:22Speaker 6: You said that Halloween is for kids. Trick or treat
- 29:24Speaker 6: is for kids because nothing irks me more than when
- 29:27Speaker 6: you see like some fucking 17 year old that's out
- 29:30Speaker 6: trick or treating.
- 29:31Speaker 1: It's like, what are you doing? What are you doing?
- 29:34Speaker 1: Go the hell home. I don't know.
- 29:37Speaker 4: I need you to at least take a picture of
- 29:39Speaker 4: you in some kind of Halloween costume eventually because I
- 29:42Speaker 4: want to put them up on the internet.
- 29:44Speaker 6: I might have a few. I had a couple of
- 29:46Speaker 6: really good Halloween costumes. I was Elvis one year.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Yeah? Were you acting the part or were you just
- 29:51Speaker 1: dressed up as Elvis? I was pretty much just dressed
- 29:53Speaker 1: up as Elvis. I was also in the first grade.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Which Elvis? Yeah. Well, obviously, it was before Elvis....
- 30:00Speaker 6: I must've been the Elvis before a lot of drugs.
- 30:02Speaker 6: Cause I was the very skinny Elvis. You know, he,
- 30:05Speaker 6: I was in the first grade.
- 30:06Speaker 2: So you were like handsome Elvis.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:10Speaker 1: With the hair, the big hair. Yeah. I had the big,
- 30:12Speaker 1: big wig.
- 30:13Speaker 4: I'm glad you participated at some point in your life.
- 30:15Speaker 4: Cause I think Halloween is pretty fun, but I totally
- 30:16Speaker 4: understand that it's for kids. I guess I'm just a
- 30:19Speaker 4: big kid.
- 30:19Speaker 2: You're a big kid.
- 30:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:20Speaker 2: I love that.
- 30:20Speaker 1: Remember Joel, you act older than I do.
- 30:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:23Speaker 2: Joel's like 87 and you're like 83.
- 30:25Speaker 1: I'll take it. Yeah.
- 30:30Speaker 6: Makes sense to me. And we have questions for each other, right? Yeah,
- 30:33Speaker 6: I think it's time I kick your ass at trivia.
- 30:35Speaker 1: I'm going to go first, though. All right, I'll let
- 30:38Speaker 1: you go first. No, you can go first. I'm sorry.
- 30:40Speaker 1: What's the point of this? Question number one. Lee, you
- 30:45Speaker 1: are our lifeline. We can come to you once. I'll
- 30:47Speaker 1: probably come to you twice.
- 30:49Speaker 2: All right.
- 30:50Speaker 1: All right, buddy. Here we go. How many U.S. presidents
- 30:54Speaker 1: are carved into Mount Rushmore? Four. And who are they? Oh, shit.
- 30:59Speaker 1: Don't look it up. I'm not looking it up. I'm
- 31:00Speaker 1: pulling up my questions. I'm trying to anyway. All right.
- 31:06Speaker 1: So like Washington, Lincoln, Roosevelt. Which one? Teddy. Theodore. Okay. No, no, no, no.
- 31:20Speaker 1: Maybe FDR. Yeah. FDR. What am I smoking? FDR. Washington, Lincoln, FDR. Man,
- 31:30Speaker 1: I should know this. Well, soon Donald Trump will be
- 31:33Speaker 1: up there. He'll be the fit. He'll be the fit,
- 31:37Speaker 1: so it's definitely four. Thank you very much. Thank you
- 31:41Speaker 1: very much. You got that part right.
- 31:43Speaker 6: Okay, so now I just got to come up with
- 31:45Speaker 6: one more. So who do you have so far? Washington, Lincoln,
- 31:48Speaker 6: and FDR.
- 31:49Speaker 1: Okay. Isn't the other Franklin on there? I think it's
- 31:53Speaker 1: the other Franklin.
- 31:55Speaker 2: The other Franklin.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Or Roosevelt. Franklin. What am I saying? The other Franklin?
- 32:02Speaker 2: Franklin from Peanuts?
- 32:04Speaker 6: No, Franklin, Delon, Roosevelt. I still don't remember. Yeah, I
- 32:08Speaker 6: still don't remember what the D stands for. You asked
- 32:10Speaker 6: me that question once.
- 32:11Speaker 1: It's Delanor. No, it's not. It's Delanor. He thought it
- 32:14Speaker 1: was too. Yeah. No, it's Delano.
- 32:18Speaker 5: Oh, I guess that's the male version of Delanor.
- 32:22Speaker 1: I think we labeled that episode Eleanor Delanor. Eleanor Delanor.
- 32:27Speaker 4: Anyway.
- 32:27Speaker 1: Washington, Lincoln, FDR. There's one other one. Is it like
- 32:32Speaker 1: Ben Franklin or something? Are they all presidents? Yeah, you
- 32:35Speaker 1: said they're presidents. I really don't know. We're going to
- 32:39Speaker 1: be here all day. How many U.S. presidents are carved
- 32:42Speaker 1: into Mount Rushmore? You got four. I'll give you that.
- 32:44Speaker 1: You got a half point. I'm just going to say
- 32:47Speaker 1: like Thomas Jefferson. So name them all. Washington, Lincoln, FDR,
- 32:52Speaker 1: Thomas Jefferson. Final answer?
- 32:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:55Speaker 1: You got it wrong. Thanks. It was Teddy Roosevelt.
- 33:01Speaker 4: So both Roosevelt. No, just one of them. And it
- 33:04Speaker 4: was Teddy. And FDR is not on there. FDR is
- 33:07Speaker 4: not on George Washington. Thomas Jefferson.
- 33:10Speaker 1: Jefferson. Jefferson. So I was right about that one. Right.
- 33:15Speaker 4: Yeah, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, Teddy Roosevelt, and
- 33:19Speaker 4: Abe Lincoln.
- 33:20Speaker 1: So you had it right. I was just kind of
- 33:22Speaker 1: fucking with it.
- 33:22Speaker 6: Dude, I remember in my head, I was picturing Mount
- 33:26Speaker 6: Rushmore in that dude's glasses, and FDR did not have
- 33:29Speaker 6: the prominent glasses. The prominent glasses was the other Roosevelt.
- 33:32Speaker 1: Yep. Maybe you'll get this one. I don't know. I
- 33:36Speaker 1: doubt it. Question two. Doubt it. Dick. All right.
- 33:44Speaker 4: What's the term for a substance made of two or
- 33:46Speaker 4: more metals?
- 33:47Speaker 1: What do you call that? A substance made of two
- 33:49Speaker 1: or more metals. Uh, dual metal substance. You have a lifeline. Yeah,
- 33:57Speaker 1: I'll go to my lifeline. I'm sure I'll go to
- 33:59Speaker 1: my lifeline. Uh, a substance who cares? That's my answer.
- 34:06Speaker 1: More metals. Pardon me.
- 34:09Speaker 2: Wants to say compound, but I don't think that's correct.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Oh, that compound metal.
- 34:13Speaker 5: No, because that's like medicine, compound medicine.
- 34:16Speaker 2: Not an alloy. Two metal thing?
- 34:24Speaker 1: Yeah. What a broad question this is.
- 34:31Speaker 2: Maybe it is an alloy.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Sure, let's go with alloy. Alloy is right. Oh! Thank you.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Thank you, lady. Now I know that an alloy is
- 34:42Speaker 1: when you put two metals together. I'm so glad that
- 34:44Speaker 1: I know that. There you go. Two or more. Two
- 34:45Speaker 1: or more. Look at you.
- 34:46Speaker 6: I could put 80 together and it would be called
- 34:48Speaker 6: an alloy. You get smarter when you listen to this show,
- 34:50Speaker 6: I'm telling you.
- 34:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:51Speaker 1: That might be a false statement. See? She's getting it.
- 34:55Speaker 2: Educational up in here.
- 34:56Speaker 1: Question three. All right.
- 35:01Speaker 4: What treat did dentist William Morrison help invent in 1897?
- 35:10Speaker 1: What are you, Mr. Broad today? Like, are you pulling
- 35:12Speaker 1: names out of thin air here? What sugary treat... What
- 35:16Speaker 1: sugary treat did Tom Jones... Did dentist William Morrison help
- 35:20Speaker 1: invent in 1897? It's not unusual... Tom... Tom what? What's
- 35:30Speaker 1: his name? Thomas Jefferson. No, what's his dude's name again?
- 35:33Speaker 1: William Morrison.
- 35:34Speaker 4: He's a dentist. He helped create this treat... Chewing gum?
- 35:39Speaker 4: It would be ironic, but no, that is not it.
- 35:44Speaker 1: Man, no idea. Don't even know where to start. Treat?
- 35:50Speaker 1: Something that's bad for your teeth. Ice cream. Lifesavers? No.
- 35:54Speaker 1: You want the answer? Yeah, I have no idea. Cotton candy.
- 35:59Speaker 1: Cotton candy. Wow. Created by a dentist. Yeah. See? Interesting. Yeah.
- 36:03Speaker 2: Cotton candy's gross. No wonder a dentist made it.
- 36:06Speaker 1: I kind of like cotton candy, to be honest with you.
- 36:08Speaker 5: Oh, that's why when they, they're like, you know, do
- 36:10Speaker 5: you want the fluoride treatment? We have cotton candy.
- 36:12Speaker 2: That's why.
- 36:12Speaker 1: Maybe. Yeah.
- 36:14Speaker 2: Educational podcast.
- 36:15Speaker 3: Wow.
- 36:16Speaker 1: Next one. Okay. Question four. 20.
- 36:19Speaker 3: What?
- 36:22Speaker 1: You know the term QR code? What does QR stand for? Oh,
- 36:25Speaker 1: I feel like this has come up before. Another one
- 36:28Speaker 1: I don't remember. Don't even know where to start again.
- 36:31Speaker 1: What is QR?
- 36:32Speaker 6: I'm going to pick some hard-ass questions so you don't
- 36:35Speaker 6: get any right either.
- 36:36Speaker 4: I always give you easy ones, I feel, so I
- 36:38Speaker 4: wanted to make it a little more difficult this week.
- 36:40Speaker 4: How do your questions go from shit like this to
- 36:44Speaker 4: what's the fill in the blank? You can't teach an
- 36:46Speaker 4: old dog new.
- 36:49Speaker 1: I mean, wow. Everyone says I go too easy on you, so. Well,
- 36:53Speaker 1: this certainly is not too easy, so congratulations. What is
- 36:56Speaker 1: QR again? and qr code stand for i'm just gonna
- 37:00Speaker 1: we'll just get it wrong quick response okay wonderful you
- 37:03Speaker 1: learned about it all right very educational podcast we'll say
- 37:07Speaker 1: it again yeah yes not just for you listeners for
- 37:09Speaker 1: us too we don't know what the fuck we're doing.
- 37:13Speaker 6: Question number one all right so all my questions are
- 37:17Speaker 6: going to be the theme is going to be the
- 37:19Speaker 6: 90s okay Cause I'm back to doing my trivia night
- 37:23Speaker 6: and I have to do a theme every week. And
- 37:25Speaker 6: so now those questions are going to become your question.
- 37:27Speaker 1: That's great.
- 37:27Speaker 4: You just kill two birds with one stone, right? You
- 37:29Speaker 4: have to come, come dressed as a, in a disguise.
- 37:32Speaker 4: There's a problem.
- 37:33Speaker 1: On your show. They want me to do a new
- 37:35Speaker 1: theme every week, but the owner dude was talking about like, Oh,
- 37:39Speaker 1: you can do like star Wars trivia or the office
- 37:43Speaker 1: trivia or friends trivia. And I'm like, Oh, I could. Sure.
- 37:48Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 37:49Speaker 6: But that would mean that I would have to like,
- 37:50Speaker 6: what do I, Do I have to watch Star Wars then,
- 37:52Speaker 6: or can I just read the questions?
- 37:53Speaker 1: I don't know. What do you think, Lee?
- 37:57Speaker 4: If you were going to a music trivia night, and
- 38:00Speaker 4: the host didn't really know shit.
- 38:02Speaker 1: It's not music trivia. How would you know?
- 38:04Speaker 5: I mean, if you ask the question with authority, how
- 38:08Speaker 5: would I know?
- 38:09Speaker 1: True. Well, what I would fear is that somebody would
- 38:12Speaker 1: press me. Mm-hmm. Because you always get somebody. There's always one.
- 38:17Speaker 6: It's like, man, what you people want to do to
- 38:18Speaker 6: win a freaking gift card is beyond me.
- 38:20Speaker 2: Especially if it's going to be something like Star Wars.
- 38:22Speaker 1: Yeah. Oh, yeah.
- 38:24Speaker 2: With all these different versions.
- 38:26Speaker 1: You would be like that about Brady Bunch trivia. You
- 38:28Speaker 1: know what I mean?
- 38:28Speaker 4: You'd be like, well, Alice banged this other guy, too,
- 38:31Speaker 4: and not just the butcher.
- 38:33Speaker 1: Yeah, the well, actually people. No, I am not a well, actually.
- 38:38Speaker 1: I know you're not. I know you're not. I am
- 38:39Speaker 1: not a well, actually. Anyway, go ahead. That's funny, though.
- 38:44Speaker 1: All right, so anyway, yes, my theme last week was
- 38:46Speaker 1: the 90s. Okay. All right, so let's start with this one.
- 38:49Speaker 6: Famously portrayed by John Goodman on Saturday Night Live, what
- 38:54Speaker 6: woman was Monica Lewinsky's friend who secretly recorded their phone
- 38:58Speaker 6: conversations about her relationship with President Bill Clinton?
- 39:01Speaker 1: Ooh, ooh, I know, I know. I want to go
- 39:04Speaker 1: to my lifeline. Linda Tripp. Linda Tripp. I had no idea.
- 39:08Speaker 1: I had no idea.
- 39:09Speaker 3: Wow.
- 39:09Speaker 1: Yeah. All right. Damn. Thank God you're here. Really? You
- 39:14Speaker 1: lived through that? You don't remember that? I was, like,
- 39:17Speaker 1: how old then? What year was that? 95? No, that's, like, 97.
- 39:21Speaker 1: That's your formative years, is it not? I was in, like,
- 39:24Speaker 1: 7th grade then. In 1997? Yeah. You remember when Watergate...
- 39:29Speaker 1: That's not when that happened, right? I at least know that. No,
- 39:32Speaker 1: do you remember when the Monica Lewinsky thing was all
- 39:35Speaker 1: over the place? Yeah, she had the stuff on her.
- 39:38Speaker 1: The stuff on her.
- 39:40Speaker 2: On her dress.
- 39:41Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 39:42Speaker 2: Which was in a trunk, which Linda Tripp told her
- 39:45Speaker 2: to do.
- 39:45Speaker 1: Oh, so I didn't know that. Yeah, yeah. Dude, it
- 39:48Speaker 1: is kind of like... I mean.
- 39:50Speaker 6: I guess by today's standards, and by standards back in
- 39:53Speaker 6: the day, too, it is a fucked up situation.
- 39:56Speaker 1: Like, Monica Lewinsky did this with the president, which, you know, whatever.
- 40:00Speaker 1: They had their little fun times with the cigar a
- 40:02Speaker 1: few times, too, which is... Cigar?
- 40:04Speaker 3: What?
- 40:04Speaker 1: You don't know about that? You don't know this? Man,
- 40:07Speaker 1: I know more about this than I was even alive.
- 40:11Speaker 1: All we talked about in school was the dress thing. Oh, really?
- 40:14Speaker 1: But anyway... Go ahead. Educate me.
- 40:17Speaker 6: To my knowledge, they never actually had sex sex, but
- 40:20Speaker 6: he got a little carried away with a Cuban cigar
- 40:24Speaker 6: on more than one occasion.
- 40:26Speaker 1: Never heard this? No. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 40:28Speaker 6: But anyway, so Monica Lewinsky befriended this woman that she
- 40:32Speaker 6: worked with, Linda Tripp. And started telling her all this
- 40:35Speaker 6: shit that she was doing with the president. And so
- 40:38Speaker 6: then Linda Triff is like, oh my God, I should
- 40:40Speaker 6: start recording this shit. So she goes out and buys
- 40:42Speaker 6: like this phone system, start recording her phone calls. And
- 40:46Speaker 6: she calls like a Republican strategist at the time and says,
- 40:49Speaker 6: you're never going to believe the story that I have.
- 40:52Speaker 1: And they were the ones that were like, oh, you
- 40:53Speaker 1: got to record it. So she goes out and she
- 40:55Speaker 1: buys all this stuff. She starts. But the worst part is,
- 40:59Speaker 1: is she's already been told this stuff on the phone.
- 41:02Speaker 1: But now she has to get it on tape. So
- 41:05Speaker 1: she has to coerce Monica Lewinsky into telling her the
- 41:08Speaker 1: stories again. Yeah. crazy wow yeah i don't know i
- 41:11Speaker 1: missed all of that i went through the monica lewinsky.
- 41:14Speaker 6: Phase for a while i watched a couple documentaries on
- 41:16Speaker 6: it i found it very interesting wow in the worst
- 41:18Speaker 6: way possible obviously yeah absolutely you know i think i
- 41:23Speaker 6: don't know i feel like post me too the world
- 41:25Speaker 6: feels a lot differently now about monica lewinsky.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Then absolutely it did as a whole right a hundred
- 41:30Speaker 1: percent yeah absolutely So she's not so bad.
- 41:33Speaker 5: More blame has to be given to all parties involved.
- 41:37Speaker 1: And not just. Yes. Not just her. Yeah. Yeah. Let's
- 41:41Speaker 1: bring it back. That's what the world needs. We need
- 41:43Speaker 1: a distraction.
- 41:44Speaker 4: We need to bring back the Monica Lewinsky case.
- 41:48Speaker 1: That would be funny.
- 41:49Speaker 6: I believe there's probably worse shit than the Monica Lewinsky
- 41:52Speaker 6: stuff going on right now as we speak.
- 41:53Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Question two. What else do I want to
- 41:57Speaker 1: ask you? How about this one? All right. In 1990,
- 42:01Speaker 1: how old were you? Six. Great.
- 42:06Speaker 6: In 1990, what country invaded Kuwait, sparking the Persian Gulf War?
- 42:10Speaker 1: Oh, jeez.
- 42:14Speaker 2: I feel like everything about the 90s was about Iran
- 42:16Speaker 2: and Iraq, so.
- 42:18Speaker 1: Read that again.
- 42:21Speaker 6: In 1990, what country invaded Kuwait, sparking the Persian Gulf War?
- 42:24Speaker 1: Oh, God. I have no idea. Remember, you already used
- 42:29Speaker 1: your lifelines. Yeah, I know. You said it was always Iran-Iraq.
- 42:32Speaker 1: I'm going to say Iraq.
- 42:37Speaker 6: Yeah yeah yeah see you somehow use a lifeline without
- 42:42Speaker 6: using a lifeline it's very annoying trickery yes yes question.
- 42:45Speaker 1: Three witchy woman.
- 42:50Speaker 6: What was the name of the 1999 file sharing service
- 42:54Speaker 6: that became famous for allowing users to download music for
- 42:58Speaker 6: free it.
- 43:00Speaker 1: Was Napster it was Napster yeah Final answer? Yeah, of course.
- 43:05Speaker 1: That I remember. I was downloading. Were you? Oh, yeah. Yeah,
- 43:11Speaker 1: and a bunch of viruses, too. It was mostly my
- 43:13Speaker 1: sister doing it, but yeah. Was it really? Blame it
- 43:15Speaker 1: on Kelly.
- 43:16Speaker 4: I remember seeing Oasis on there and stuff like that
- 43:19Speaker 4: being downloaded.
- 43:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 43:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:21Speaker 1: Good old Napster.
- 43:22Speaker 6: And then what's his name from Metallica came along? Lars,
- 43:25Speaker 6: the drummer. He was the one that started bitching about it.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Oh, he was the guy. I believe so, yeah. They're
- 43:30Speaker 1: getting our music for free. Do you remember Napster? Did
- 43:33Speaker 1: you use it?
- 43:34Speaker 2: I never used it, but I totally remember it.
- 43:36Speaker 5: But weren't a couple people also fined millions of dollars?
- 43:40Speaker 1: Yeah. People got in trouble for that. There was a
- 43:41Speaker 1: documentary about that I watched, too, a couple years ago.
- 43:44Speaker 1: Question four. All right, so both Beavis and Butthead....
- 43:49Speaker 6: I've never seen that It's great I feel like of
- 43:54Speaker 6: all people I would enjoy Beavis and Butthead 100% Both
- 43:58Speaker 6: Beavis and Butthead Almost always wear a band t-shirt What
- 44:02Speaker 6: band is on Beavis' shirt Alright so Butthead wears Metallica
- 44:07Speaker 6: And Beavis Is Oh my god Is Beavis Metallica?
- 44:13Speaker 2: No Beavis is the blonde one right? Yeah And whose
- 44:19Speaker 2: shirt do.
- 44:19Speaker 1: You want to wear? Oh, uh... Oh, wait, no. He's Metallica.
- 44:25Speaker 1: He's Metallica. Son of a bitch. I got that one right.
- 44:29Speaker 1: Final answer. Yeah, we just got done talking about Metallica, too. Man. Yeah,
- 44:34Speaker 1: I got them all right. That doesn't happen for me.
- 44:37Speaker 1: This is great. Yes, the other one was ACDC. Thank you. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 44:42Speaker 1: Who are the two singers of ACDC? I gotta get
- 44:44Speaker 1: you something wrong. It's the guy and the other guy.
- 44:47Speaker 1: What's his name? Yeah, the guy and the other guy.
- 44:49Speaker 2: The one guy in the hat.
- 44:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't remember their names though right now. Let's see.
- 44:53Speaker 1: Shouldn't have done 90s. Next week, the category is going
- 44:56Speaker 1: to be shit Becker doesn't know. Let's do all 90s
- 44:58Speaker 1: from now on just for me. I would benefit from it.
- 45:01Speaker 1: You still didn't know the first one, Linda Tripp. Yeah,
- 45:04Speaker 1: I did not know that, thankfully. Lifeline. You got to
- 45:07Speaker 1: go watch the John Goodman Saturday Night Live skit. It's
- 45:09Speaker 1: pretty good. Yeah, it is. It's pretty good. I'll watch it.
- 45:13Speaker 2: Except that you don't know who Linda Tripp is, so.
- 45:14Speaker 1: Yeah, so it won't be funny.
- 45:15Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 45:16Speaker 1: Well, now I do. Well, you'll have to see her first. Yeah,
- 45:18Speaker 1: you gotta look at what she looks like. Let me
- 45:20Speaker 1: look it up really quick right now.
- 45:21Speaker 6: Yeah, speaking of Saturday Night Live, I was so excited
- 45:23Speaker 6: to watch Saturday Night Live.
- 45:25Speaker 1: This morning, I woke up... We're recording this episode on Sunday.
- 45:28Speaker 1: Not Monday. We normally record on Monday. We're recording on Sunday.
- 45:31Speaker 1: I woke up this morning. I'm like, oh, can't wait
- 45:33Speaker 1: to watch Saturday Night Live from last night. Because, you know, there's...
- 45:35Speaker 1: What's her name? Katie... Zachariah. Is that how you say
- 45:39Speaker 1: her name? Yeah, yeah, yeah. The press secretary that only
- 45:42Speaker 1: lasted five days. Five days. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 45:44Speaker 6: No, I was so excited to watch Saturday Night Live
- 45:46Speaker 6: because I thought, man, they're going to have a field
- 45:47Speaker 6: day with this.
- 45:48Speaker 1: It's like they're on a brief hiatus. Oh, no.
- 45:52Speaker 3: Yep.
- 45:52Speaker 1: I wonder what Jimmy Kimmel's going to do, though. I
- 45:54Speaker 1: look forward to that. Maybe he'll take the reins. He
- 45:56Speaker 1: probably said something Friday night, did he not? Maybe.
- 46:00Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 46:00Speaker 1: It happened on Friday. I've been watching Jimmy Kimmel a
- 46:02Speaker 1: lot more lately. Have you?
- 46:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 46:04Speaker 1: I always get him and Jimmy Fallon mixed up.
- 46:06Speaker 4: Well, they're completely different people. They're completely different people. Is
- 46:09Speaker 4: this who you're talking about?
- 46:10Speaker 1: Yes, that would be her. Linda Tripp. Oh, yeah. Yeah.
- 46:13Speaker 1: She looks like she's a lot of fun. Well, she's
- 46:15Speaker 1: dead now. Oh, she died? Yeah.
- 46:18Speaker 2: I didn't know that.
- 46:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I think she had cancer or something, honestly. Let's see.
- 46:22Speaker 2: Sucks to suck.
- 46:26Speaker 1: Well, with that... What are we doing next? Are we
- 46:29Speaker 1: going to eat and then do the... Yeah, I think
- 46:31Speaker 1: we should do that. Okay. All right, let's eat. It's
- 46:34Speaker 1: time for... But here's the thing.
- 46:39Speaker 4: I did bring you a sugar-free treat, but I also
- 46:42Speaker 4: know you don't like sweet stuff.
- 46:44Speaker 1: I kind of remember that, right?
- 46:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 46:45Speaker 1: Would you try one anyway? Just because it's like... Sure.
- 46:48Speaker 2: Because you made a special trip to do this.
- 46:52Speaker 1: I will. You don't even have to take them home
- 46:54Speaker 1: or anything. I'll take them home. They look pretty good.
- 46:56Speaker 1: Do you ever order stuff like that? Do you ever
- 46:58Speaker 1: buy stuff like that? Treats like that? No. No, I
- 47:01Speaker 1: would never. Go ahead. Tell the people what it is.
- 47:02Speaker 1: Read it.
- 47:03Speaker 5: This is Vortman Bakery. Real bakers, really delicious. Mini chocolate wavers,
- 47:13Speaker 5: zero sugar, baked with real cocoa.
- 47:16Speaker 2: No AI involved.
- 47:17Speaker 1: No AI at all. Thanks for telling us. That's always
- 47:21Speaker 1: good when your food doesn't involve AI. So you would never,
- 47:27Speaker 1: you normally do not eat this kind of stuff. Correct.
- 47:29Speaker 2: When I was little, I would... I'd eat this whole
- 47:31Speaker 2: bag in like a second.
- 47:32Speaker 1: Gotcha. Dietary reasons. You don't usually dabble in this stuff.
- 47:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 47:35Speaker 1: So I know for future reference.
- 47:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 47:37Speaker 1: All right. I'll get you something not sweet next time.
- 47:40Speaker 1: You should.
- 47:41Speaker 5: It's so sweet of you to do that. That's the
- 47:43Speaker 5: sweetness right there. Just you thinking of me. You don't
- 47:46Speaker 5: need to get me anything.
- 47:47Speaker 1: All right. Well, our snack is chicken and waffles Oreos.
- 47:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 47:51Speaker 2: That sounds disgusting.
- 47:53Speaker 1: It sounds awful. I'm going to tell you. We're getting
- 47:55Speaker 1: carried away.
- 47:56Speaker 4: These have already been opened and a lot of them
- 47:58Speaker 4: are gone. Because you like them? Because they are so good.
- 48:03Speaker 4: They taste like waffles. Okay, here's the thing. They are
- 48:06Speaker 4: Oreos and they are chicken and waffle flavored like you
- 48:08Speaker 4: had just said, but they do not taste like chicken.
- 48:11Speaker 4: They taste like waffles with butter and syrup. And every
- 48:15Speaker 4: single one of these is so good.
- 48:17Speaker 6: Again, though, why do we have to screw with the Oreos?
- 48:19Speaker 4: I understand you're a purist. I'm a purist too. I
- 48:22Speaker 4: don't usually like this stuff either, but these are very good.
- 48:25Speaker 2: But what's the chicken in it then?
- 48:27Speaker 4: I don't understand the chicken. They should probably not even
- 48:29Speaker 4: be called that. They taste like delicious waffles.
- 48:32Speaker 2: They should have like a picture of a chicken on it.
- 48:34Speaker 1: I know. This is okay, but this like just is
- 48:36Speaker 1: not an Oreo. I understand. All right.
- 48:38Speaker 4: So take away the fact that the Oreo name. Why
- 48:40Speaker 4: is this an Oreo? Just because it's a sandwiched cookie.
- 48:43Speaker 4: That's what makes it an Oreo.
- 48:45Speaker 1: I guess.
- 48:45Speaker 4: I don't know what to tell you there, but, but
- 48:47Speaker 4: they're not terrible, right? They, I mean, they're, they deliver
- 48:50Speaker 4: on the waffle. I really believe that.
- 48:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 48:55Speaker 1: Going to take a bunch more. You can eat the rest.
- 48:57Speaker 1: Go ahead.
- 48:57Speaker 2: So 10 out of 10 waffle, zero out of 10 chicken.
- 49:00Speaker 1: Yes. All right. There's no, I don't think there's any
- 49:02Speaker 1: chicken flavoring there at all. Yeah. I'm not getting a
- 49:04Speaker 1: lot of chicken. Do you like them though?
- 49:06Speaker 6: I'm getting a, a very salty waffle, which is how
- 49:09Speaker 6: I think they're, they're trying to incorporate the chicken.
- 49:12Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 49:13Speaker 1: All right. All right.
- 49:13Speaker 5: I'm going to try the no AI baked by real bakers,
- 49:19Speaker 5: sugar-free wafer here.
- 49:20Speaker 1: All right. I hope they're good.
- 49:24Speaker 5: You know when you go to give a dog a
- 49:25Speaker 5: treat and you get that kind of whiff of the
- 49:30Speaker 5: dog treat for a second.
- 49:31Speaker 1: Okay. That's what that tastes like.
- 49:35Speaker 2: But then that goes away.
- 49:36Speaker 4: So the dog treat flavoring dissipates and then eventually you
- 49:41Speaker 4: get some.
- 49:42Speaker 1: Kind of deliciousness. A sense of deliciousness.
- 49:46Speaker 2: It's sweet.
- 49:47Speaker 1: Okay. Not your kind of treat.
- 49:50Speaker 2: It doesn't taste like chocolate. It doesn't taste. I think
- 49:52Speaker 2: it is AI.
- 49:53Speaker 5: I think that they are overcompensating with the real baker's
- 49:57Speaker 5: really delicious.
- 49:59Speaker 2: I think it is AI.
- 49:59Speaker 3: Okay.
- 50:00Speaker 1: Okay.
- 50:00Speaker 5: All right.
- 50:01Speaker 2: You try and you tell me if you get the
- 50:03Speaker 2: hint of dog treat.
- 50:04Speaker 1: Dog treat. Man, what's this brand called? Bortman's? Sorry, guys.
- 50:09Speaker 2: They're not going to be sponsoring you.
- 50:11Speaker 1: Are we doing our Halloween thing here with Lee or what?
- 50:14Speaker 1: What are we going to do? All right. Let's do
- 50:17Speaker 1: some kind of.
- 50:18Speaker 5: So here's what we're going to do. We are going
- 50:20Speaker 5: to need a lighter, though. I never bring a lighter
- 50:21Speaker 5: because I know I can count on you guys.
- 50:24Speaker 1: Thanks, I think.
- 50:26Speaker 2: So as you said, you know, we need some positivity.
- 50:30Speaker 5: So I have these white candles because I didn't know
- 50:33Speaker 5: exactly what you guys were going to want to manifest.
- 50:38Speaker 5: So we are going to manifest some positivity.
- 50:43Speaker 3: All right.
- 50:43Speaker 1: We need it. Yeah. Seriously. Especially that one. I'm positive.
- 50:46Speaker 1: All right.
- 50:50Speaker 2: So I brought this little awl.
- 50:52Speaker 1: Okay.
- 50:53Speaker 2: Are you familiar with an awl?
- 50:54Speaker 1: Isn't this the word that you asked me about earlier? No,
- 50:57Speaker 1: that was an onk. An onk. Close. He always close.
- 51:01Speaker 2: AWL, by the way. All right.
- 51:04Speaker 5: So what we're going to do is we're going to
- 51:06Speaker 5: do first a little incantation. We're going to say a
- 51:09Speaker 5: little something. We don't normally do that when I come
- 51:11Speaker 5: on the show, but we're going to do that today.
- 51:13Speaker 5: And I want you to think about what it is
- 51:15Speaker 5: that you want to bring into your life that is
- 51:17Speaker 5: going to be positive.
- 51:18Speaker 2: And you're going to use the all. I only have one,
- 51:21Speaker 2: so you have to take turns.
- 51:22Speaker 5: And you're going to inscribe it on the candle.
- 51:24Speaker 2: So it could be as a symbol.
- 51:26Speaker 1: It could be a literal word. Do I have to
- 51:28Speaker 1: write it? With the owl. Oh, with the pointy thing.
- 51:30Speaker 2: Yeah, you're going to carve it into the candle.
- 51:32Speaker 1: Gotcha. And then we're going to burn the candle?
- 51:34Speaker 2: And then we're going to light the candles on fire.
- 51:35Speaker 3: Yep.
- 51:36Speaker 1: Okay. All right.
- 51:37Speaker 5: We have a representation of Earth with the Labradorite. So
- 51:41Speaker 5: the Labradorite stone is really good for transformation. It's really
- 51:45Speaker 5: good for increasing your psychic abilities. And since we are
- 51:48Speaker 5: coming up on Samhain, a.k.a.
- 51:51Speaker 2: Halloween, which is.
- 51:52Speaker 5: Where the veil thins, And you're more able to see
- 51:57Speaker 5: into the future and communicate with your ancestors and communicate
- 52:00Speaker 5: with the dead, et cetera, et cetera.
- 52:02Speaker 2: So this is a good stone for that. So we
- 52:04Speaker 2: have representation of earth.
- 52:06Speaker 5: We have representation of fire with our candles. And we
- 52:10Speaker 5: have representation with air with this feather. So the only
- 52:13Speaker 5: thing we don't have a.
- 52:14Speaker 2: Representation of is water.
- 52:17Speaker 1: Okay.
- 52:18Speaker 2: Unless you go get some water real quick.
- 52:20Speaker 1: I have water right here. Hey! Hey! Does the purified
- 52:24Speaker 1: water from Walmart count? It 100% works. All right.
- 52:27Speaker 5: So we have all the elements here to help us
- 52:30Speaker 5: to manifest this. Okay.
- 52:32Speaker 1: All right.
- 52:32Speaker 5: So our incantation that we're going to do is we're
- 52:34Speaker 5: going to say, by earth, air, water, and fire, bring
- 52:38Speaker 5: to me.
- 52:39Speaker 2: That which I desire. Don't give me that face.
- 52:42Speaker 1: I have to write that down. Earth, air, fire, water,
- 52:47Speaker 1: bring to me the earth's desire. Almost.
- 52:49Speaker 2: You want it to rhyme. It doesn't have to rhyme.
- 52:51Speaker 2: Your spells don't have to rhyme, but.
- 52:53Speaker 1: Oh, it's a spell. Yeah, we're doing a spell right now. Oh, okay.
- 52:57Speaker 1: She's a witch. Yeah, that's right. Okay.
- 52:59Speaker 2: Yeah, leave the witch, remember?
- 53:00Speaker 5: So it doesn't have to rhyme because, you know, words
- 53:04Speaker 5: have power, but when you do rhyme it, you give
- 53:07Speaker 5: it that little extra oomph.
- 53:09Speaker 1: Okay. Okay.
- 53:10Speaker 2: So, by earth, air.
- 53:14Speaker 1: Earth, fire... Let her tell us.
- 53:18Speaker 2: By earth, air, water, fire, bring to me that which
- 53:25Speaker 2: I desire.
- 53:26Speaker 5: So what I want you to do is I want
- 53:27Speaker 5: you to each take the all and you're going to inscribe.
- 53:30Speaker 5: So think about something that you want that's positive, that
- 53:32Speaker 5: you want to bring, something that you desire.
- 53:34Speaker 2: And it doesn't have to.
- 53:35Speaker 5: Be for you. It could be for the world. It
- 53:37Speaker 5: could be for the country. It could be for somebody
- 53:40Speaker 5: that you know.
- 53:41Speaker 1: Okay. All right. That's difficult. Maybe I'm not positive. Yeah.
- 53:49Speaker 1: Should I put it in the side here?
- 53:50Speaker 2: Yep, you're just going to carve it in there. And
- 53:51Speaker 2: it could be a word. It could be a symbol.
- 53:53Speaker 2: Do you want me to.
- 53:55Speaker 1: Tell the people what you're writing? I'm putting a.
- 53:58Speaker 6: He's putting a press secretary that lasts more.
- 54:01Speaker 1: Than five days. I'm putting a plus sign for positivity. Okay.
- 54:08Speaker 1: I'm trying to gain weight. Here, there. I want to
- 54:10Speaker 1: gain weight.
- 54:11Speaker 2: Okay, so put that in there.
- 54:11Speaker 1: So what do I put? How about LB, weight? Sure. LB,
- 54:15Speaker 1: very good.
- 54:15Speaker 2: There you go.
- 54:16Speaker 1: All right, there we go. See, look, we came up
- 54:18Speaker 1: with a good one.
- 54:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 54:19Speaker 1: All right. Are you ready?
- 54:20Speaker 4: I'm ready.
- 54:20Speaker 1: Okay. By earth, air, water, and fire, bring to me that.
- 54:27Speaker 2: Which I desire.
- 54:28Speaker 1: Can we do it again? Sure.
- 54:31Speaker 2: Let's do it three times.
- 54:33Speaker 4: By earth, air, water, and fire, bring to me that
- 54:39Speaker 4: which I desire.
- 54:40Speaker 2: That was amazing, Joel. Let's do it one more time.
- 54:42Speaker 1: By earth, air, water, and fire. Bring to me that
- 54:48Speaker 1: which I desire. I can't get this right. I can't
- 54:50Speaker 1: read my own handwriting.
- 54:51Speaker 2: All right. That's okay. Cause the intention is there and
- 54:54Speaker 2: that's what matters. So this is our spell. All right.
- 54:58Speaker 5: So we've got all of our elements here and we're
- 55:00Speaker 5: going to let those candles burn a little bit. So
- 55:02Speaker 5: these candles actually can burn for a few hours. So
- 55:04Speaker 5: I'm going to give you both your candles so that
- 55:05Speaker 5: you can let them burn down, you know, cool.
- 55:09Speaker 6: And hopefully whoever said that all the spells are bad.
- 55:12Speaker 6: This is a good spell.
- 55:13Speaker 1: It is a good spell.
- 55:14Speaker 4: It's a good spell from a good witch. Lee, the
- 55:16Speaker 4: witch and many other things. Massage therapist, physical trainer, Reiki instructor,
- 55:23Speaker 4: Reiki healer.
- 55:24Speaker 2: Yeah, you got it. And group fitness instructor.
- 55:27Speaker 4: Jiva Fitness 2.0 in Wilsonboro, Pennsylvania. Get healthy with one
- 55:33Speaker 4: of the nicest witches we've ever met. Lee, episode 70
- 55:37Speaker 4: or 71. It's up to you, listeners.
- 55:40Speaker 1: Happy Halloween.
- 55:41Speaker 2: Happy Halloween.
- 55:42Speaker 1: We'll do another Halloween episode next week, right?
- 55:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 55:45Speaker 1: Halloweeny. Yeah, I'm in the spirit, though. Are you? Thank
- 55:47Speaker 1: you very much, Lee.
- 55:48Speaker 2: Thank you, guys.
- 55:49Speaker 1: Thanks, Lee.
