- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Benn and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with her radio. Holy Moly, son of a Biscuit, it's
- 0:09Speaker 1: time for the well. I do love when benzos son
- 0:12Speaker 1: of a biscuit. Oh, it's so safe. It's just so safe.
- 0:16Speaker 1: And now that it's became a routine life, I can say, Hey,
- 0:18Speaker 1: welcome to Almost Famous podcast. Ashley. How are you holding up?
- 0:22Speaker 1: How are you doing? I know, Uh, life for you
- 0:26Speaker 1: has been wild because yes, we just got back from Tahoe.
- 0:28Speaker 1: This week can be easy as a mom leaving for
- 0:32Speaker 1: I mean, what were you go on? Like two and
- 0:33Speaker 1: a half days. But even then coming back, it's not
- 0:36Speaker 1: even It wasn't even forty eight hours. Really, Oh it
- 0:38Speaker 1: was actually fourty eight hours after I landed, but I
- 0:41Speaker 1: wasn't in Tahoe for a full forty eight hours. Okay,
- 0:43Speaker 1: was it hard? That's a question I want to ask.
- 0:46Speaker 1: And you got back now, I know you've you've been
- 0:48Speaker 1: gone just a few times, But does it get difficult leaving? Um?
- 0:56Speaker 1: I get really anxious, like my anxiety spikes, but I
- 0:59Speaker 1: also at the same time, I feel like so alive
- 1:03Speaker 1: and free and I am like so chatty. I was
- 1:07Speaker 1: making jokes with everybody in Tahoe that like, I have
- 1:10Speaker 1: never talked that much of my life because I'm home
- 1:13Speaker 1: alone with a baby all day and I do talk
- 1:15Speaker 1: to Dawson in an adult voice a lot. But it's
- 1:18Speaker 1: just really nice to not be around crying for like
- 1:20Speaker 1: forty eight hours. And I just like, no, it's really
- 1:22Speaker 1: good for my soul. I'm about the same time, like
- 1:24Speaker 1: I have like some mad anxiety. Like Jared had his
- 1:28Speaker 1: dad take Dawson in his car, and I was like,
- 1:32Speaker 1: your dad needs to take the Yukon. He needs to
- 1:34Speaker 1: be in the Yukon, and like I just want the
- 1:37Speaker 1: car the way to Ford's house, like literally, like I
- 1:40Speaker 1: have like those kind of triggers, like I started crying
- 1:43Speaker 1: because I wanted the kid like in a certain vehicle. Yeah,
- 1:47Speaker 1: that makes sense. I will say this, Actually, I don't
- 1:49Speaker 1: know if it makes you feel better or worse. One
- 1:51Speaker 1: of the best things my parents did for me was
- 1:54Speaker 1: they were good at like going on trips together, and
- 1:57Speaker 1: they would leave me with grandparents or like a family
- 2:00Speaker 1: friend for just a few days. It wasn't like they
- 2:02Speaker 1: left me forever, but it did allow me to I think,
- 2:06Speaker 1: as I got older, become more comfortable being away and
- 2:11Speaker 1: not being so homesick because I think I have it
- 2:14Speaker 1: in me to get really homesick. It's crazy to bring
- 2:17Speaker 1: this up because that's so timely in my life right now.
- 2:19Speaker 1: So my best friends getting married in Italy in September,
- 2:23Speaker 1: and the plan the entire time has been to bring Dawson,
- 2:26Speaker 1: make it sort of a family vacation. My parents are invited,
- 2:29Speaker 1: and it's my sister and my best friend, like it's
- 2:31Speaker 1: a collective best friend so, like my sister's fiance is
- 2:35Speaker 1: coming out. The plan was hopefully it was gonna be
- 2:37Speaker 1: like the six of us in Italy for a whole week,
- 2:39Speaker 1: and my dad has been so reluctant to go, which
- 2:43Speaker 1: is like a whole weird thing. He just my dad, like,
- 2:46Speaker 1: doesn't I feel like he's on vacation unless he's chilling
- 2:49Speaker 1: at home, like he has the week off, but he
- 2:51Speaker 1: really wants to like decompress at home. And he also is,
- 2:56Speaker 1: oh my god, this is like so insane. Our dog
- 2:58Speaker 1: ethel my parents dog has become their actual child, and
- 3:03Speaker 1: he will like he's so concerned about leaving her for
- 3:06Speaker 1: a week, which is like a totally unhealthy He doesn't
- 3:08Speaker 1: trust anybody to take care of her, so like that's
- 3:12Speaker 1: a whole other reason why he doesn't want to leave.
- 3:14Speaker 1: He legitimately has not been on vacation since he got
- 3:17Speaker 1: this dog. He can never get a dog in he's
- 3:20Speaker 1: got a snug Okay, So like the whole thing, My
- 3:24Speaker 1: parents are just not sure they're still going. And I
- 3:25Speaker 1: know this is like five weeks away, five six weeks away,
- 3:28Speaker 1: but they're not sure. And in the past twenty four hours,
- 3:32Speaker 1: I've really been thinking, like, should I keep dawstin with
- 3:35Speaker 1: my parents because which they've offered and they'd love to do,
- 3:40Speaker 1: or in like that way, Jared and I can go
- 3:42Speaker 1: on a vacation the two of us, like five days
- 3:45Speaker 1: in Italy. We wouldn't make it seven in this case,
- 3:47Speaker 1: but like five days in Italy with me, him, my
- 3:51Speaker 1: future brother in law, and my sister and just like
- 3:53Speaker 1: have like a whimsical little experience like we probably need that.
- 3:57Speaker 1: We we did it in June and it was so
- 4:00Speaker 1: eyes like so good for our relationship. And now I'm
- 4:03Speaker 1: feeling like this could be really nice if we left
- 4:06Speaker 1: him alone, But then we have this weird then of
- 4:08Speaker 1: course we have to get the parent guilt, and then
- 4:10Speaker 1: we miss him a lot, especially those first couple of
- 4:13Speaker 1: days like you have, like a little bit of separation anxiety,
- 4:15Speaker 1: and then we settled in on our first little vacation.
- 4:18Speaker 1: What do you think we should do? I think you
- 4:20Speaker 1: and Jared need to go. I think you and Jared
- 4:22Speaker 1: need to go. I think you need to give your dad.
- 4:24Speaker 1: I mean, your dad is asking for time at home.
- 4:26Speaker 1: I know he probably would love to go to Italy
- 4:28Speaker 1: with you. All I know is that as stupid, my
- 4:29Speaker 1: dad doesn't want to go to Italy. I mean, I
- 4:32Speaker 1: get it. He has a stressful job. He doesn't get
- 4:35Speaker 1: to be home and decompress, probably very often because he's
- 4:40Speaker 1: on call and because he's dealing with people's lives and
- 4:42Speaker 1: their health. I think you give him what he wants.
- 4:45Speaker 1: You give him that free excuse where he doesn't have
- 4:47Speaker 1: to feel guilty for not going, and then you and
- 4:51Speaker 1: Jared go have an incredible time together because you are
- 4:55Speaker 1: the two most important people in your in each other's lives.
- 4:58Speaker 1: You're obviously Dawson is ex really important. But if if
- 5:01Speaker 1: you and Jared don't have a healthy functioning relationship, it's
- 5:05Speaker 1: not going to be to the benefit of Dawson. So
- 5:07Speaker 1: you gotta you gotta keep investing into that when the
- 5:09Speaker 1: opportunities arise and your great parents, you're around a lot.
- 5:13Speaker 1: It's not like Dawson's ever gonna feel neglected or pushed
- 5:16Speaker 1: aside um. So I think you two need to go
- 5:19Speaker 1: because I will. I will say it was something that
- 5:21Speaker 1: helped me as I got older, when my parents would say, hey,
- 5:24Speaker 1: you're going over here, like we need to do our thing. Um.
- 5:29Speaker 1: As you know, now, I can move to Denver, thousands
- 5:31Speaker 1: of miles away from him, still talk to him often,
- 5:33Speaker 1: still see them often, But I don't have that like,
- 5:36Speaker 1: oh my gosh, I have to be home kind of
- 5:39Speaker 1: feeling and I never really have. And that's made allowed
- 5:41Speaker 1: me to have a lot of freedom in life. Uh
- 5:45Speaker 1: that I appreciate. So that's my two cents. My two
- 5:48Speaker 1: cents are, yeah, you gotta go have fun. Hey, Ashley,
- 5:53Speaker 1: you mentioned right before we got on the podcast that
- 5:55Speaker 1: you have a lot to talk about when it comes
- 5:58Speaker 1: to this last episode. I have a lot to talk
- 6:00Speaker 1: about when it comes to this last episode. So let's
- 6:02Speaker 1: talk about it right after we take a second and
- 6:06Speaker 1: have a little break, all right, Ashley's time for Bachelor Headlines.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Listeners listen up. Amanda Cyford reveals her favorite reality show,
- 6:24Speaker 1: Guilty Pleasure. This according to Parade, this was a it
- 6:30Speaker 1: was a video interview that I've been tagged in a
- 6:32Speaker 1: few times Ashley big fan. I'm a big fan of
- 6:36Speaker 1: Amanda Cyford. So take it away. Well, I kind of
- 6:41Speaker 1: have a little background knowledge on this headline, but I'm
- 6:44Speaker 1: going to read like the quotes first. Amanda Cyfrid was
- 6:47Speaker 1: on the j Kaide Show on Series x AUM this
- 6:51Speaker 1: week and she said that she loves the authenticity the show.
- 6:54Speaker 1: She particularly like like Gabby. She thinks she's very um,
- 6:57Speaker 1: self reflective, self confident. She goes, yeah, she has her issues,
- 7:01Speaker 1: we all do, but she expresses herself in a way articulates,
- 7:04Speaker 1: and her articulates herself in a way that she really appreciates. Um.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I don't know if Amanda has come out publicly about
- 7:11Speaker 1: her bachelor love before, because I was actually talking to
- 7:15Speaker 1: a guest that we have on later in the episode,
- 7:18Speaker 1: executive producer All Star A Lawan Gail, Mr Officiant at
- 7:24Speaker 1: my wedding, and he told me years ago that Amanda
- 7:28Speaker 1: kept her fandom a little bit on the d L.
- 7:30Speaker 1: But now she's obviously talking about it, and I knew
- 7:34Speaker 1: that she was a fan not just from Alan, but
- 7:36Speaker 1: because I met her at the Harry Styles concert and
- 7:42Speaker 1: I guess was too December, I think, and we were
- 7:48Speaker 1: in l A. I knew from a lan that she
- 7:51Speaker 1: was a fan, and she was standing right in front
- 7:53Speaker 1: of me at the concert and I tapped her on
- 7:56Speaker 1: the shoulder and I go hey, and she goes, Oh
- 7:59Speaker 1: my gosh, Ashley, I I am such a fan. She was.
- 8:02Speaker 1: She said the kindest things to me. It was my
- 8:06Speaker 1: favorite celebrity fan encounter, like truly, she was the warmest,
- 8:11Speaker 1: the kindest, and it's stuck. It's the It's the one
- 8:15Speaker 1: celebrity encounter of like the Bachelor fans that are celebrities.
- 8:20Speaker 1: That why I will remember forever and she um, she
- 8:26Speaker 1: she apparently listened to our podcast. That was That was it?
- 8:29Speaker 1: That was it? And she listened to our podcast. She said,
- 8:32Speaker 1: I listened to your podcast. And I had been told
- 8:35Speaker 1: by Alan that she was a listener, and then she
- 8:38Speaker 1: confirmed it there with me, and I was like, oh
- 8:41Speaker 1: my god, that is too cool. Um. And then in
- 8:45Speaker 1: this interview that she did with Serious XM, she was
- 8:48Speaker 1: questioned about who from the franchise she would date, and
- 8:54Speaker 1: she said no, no one, before hesitating and admitting I
- 8:59Speaker 1: would say Ben, Ben's the only one. When I met Ben,
- 9:03Speaker 1: I was like, I really really appreciate you. I don't
- 9:07Speaker 1: know what it is. I just there's there's no one
- 9:10Speaker 1: I can think of going out on a date with,
- 9:13Speaker 1: none of them except for freaking Ben Higgins. I just
- 9:17Speaker 1: added to that freaking Ben Higgins line. But how cool?
- 9:20Speaker 1: That's sweet? She's it was just a sweet human, talented,
- 9:24Speaker 1: beautiful sweet. I mean, that's just a nice thing to say.
- 9:29Speaker 1: She didn't need to say that, but she said it.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Um So, you know, we watch her movies, she listens
- 9:36Speaker 1: to our podcast. You know, she scratches our back, we
- 9:41Speaker 1: scratch hers. Just a nice little circle of friendship here.
- 9:46Speaker 1: But yes, it's always fun to hear you know what
- 9:48Speaker 1: celebrities are out there that are actually tuning into the show.
- 9:51Speaker 1: I didn't know she was a fan of the show.
- 9:53Speaker 1: I think Allan might have mentioned it, you know, years
- 9:55Speaker 1: ago to me as well. But just really awesome. So
- 9:59Speaker 1: thanks for the thanks for the confidence boost, Amanda. That
- 10:03Speaker 1: means a lot to me today. I needed that. You know,
- 10:05Speaker 1: it never hurts to have a little you know, gusto
- 10:09Speaker 1: in your step as you walk out the door. Well
- 10:12Speaker 1: onto other headlines. This is about a Bachelor Nation alumni
- 10:19Speaker 1: who just got engaged. Bachelor Nations Madison Prew engaged to
- 10:23Speaker 1: Grant Michael Trout. This according to E you guys all
- 10:28Speaker 1: saw the Instagram pictures. I'm sure she was in a
- 10:31Speaker 1: studding dress and she says, and the caps are in
- 10:33Speaker 1: her story as are like in a following post or whatever.
- 10:36Speaker 1: She was like, this is the dress that I wanted
- 10:38Speaker 1: to wear from my engagement. I was like, excuse me, what,
- 10:41Speaker 1: how do you know the day to wear it? So
- 10:43Speaker 1: apparently she did kind of know it was coming, at
- 10:47Speaker 1: least in the moment, because she had her mom and
- 10:50Speaker 1: sister meet her in this bathroom at this hotel and
- 10:53Speaker 1: her fiance, Grant I think, was not supposed to be
- 10:57Speaker 1: in town this day, and then he end up showing
- 11:00Speaker 1: up and then they're in the bathroom with her, getting
- 11:04Speaker 1: her already for like a moment that she's gonna go
- 11:08Speaker 1: and enter the beach very bachelor esque style, right, And
- 11:11Speaker 1: they had the dress with them and said put this on.
- 11:15Speaker 1: So then you know, she walks out to the beach
- 11:17Speaker 1: and she's pretty much convinced that she that he's gonna
- 11:19Speaker 1: get down on one knee and she says that the
- 11:23Speaker 1: moment or he grant was worth the weight that was
- 11:27Speaker 1: her Instagram cashi And but listen a lot she's getting
- 11:29Speaker 1: a lot of hate for this because she's like twenty
- 11:31Speaker 1: seven and uh, they're like, wow, worth the wait, girl,
- 11:35Speaker 1: you're so young. I get it. I get it. Well,
- 11:39Speaker 1: you know. It's also I proposed to my wife, who
- 11:44Speaker 1: is from a similar area to Maddie right uh down south,
- 11:49Speaker 1: and at this a lot of Jica's friends were already
- 11:53Speaker 1: married when I proposed to her. It's just a different
- 11:56Speaker 1: you know, matters where you live in the country. I
- 11:58Speaker 1: think where maybe it's it's more likely you get married
- 12:02Speaker 1: a young age or you don't. I mean, I've said
- 12:03Speaker 1: it before I was thirty years old. Actually, let's go
- 12:07Speaker 1: back when I was on The Bachelor at twenty six six,
- 12:13Speaker 1: I was one of three of my friends who were
- 12:16Speaker 1: either not married or in a relationship that led to
- 12:19Speaker 1: their marriage. So it's just different, I think from the
- 12:23Speaker 1: Midwest and the South. It just different, different age groups.
- 12:27Speaker 1: I don't know if I shared this yet with you, actually,
- 12:29Speaker 1: if I did, just tell me to be quiet. But Jessica,
- 12:32Speaker 1: my wife, spent some time at a farm in Tennessee.
- 12:37Speaker 1: I shared this with you, No, I don't think about
- 12:41Speaker 1: two week and a half ago, and Maddie and Hannah
- 12:43Speaker 1: Brown were there, were there with her. It was kind
- 12:45Speaker 1: of like a getaway trip uh at Boots Ranch, Boots Farms,
- 12:51Speaker 1: I think it's actually called in Chattanooga, uh, Tennessee. And
- 12:56Speaker 1: Jessica left that trip and said, wow, like Addie is amazing,
- 13:01Speaker 1: Like she had a blast And now I think they
- 13:03Speaker 1: like text and like voice message each other. Just really
- 13:07Speaker 1: just enjoyed her time with Maddie and her sister and
- 13:09Speaker 1: her friends. So um, you know, that's all. I've never
- 13:13Speaker 1: met Maddie in person, but that's all I know. And
- 13:15Speaker 1: Jessica just had really great things to say about her. Well,
- 13:19Speaker 1: that's great. This story continues because she was on Amazon
- 13:24Speaker 1: Live with Grant a couple of days after the proposal,
- 13:28Speaker 1: in which she said that day that he proposed literally
- 13:31Speaker 1: changed our lives. I know that some people think that
- 13:33Speaker 1: being together just eight months before getting engaged as short,
- 13:37Speaker 1: but she goes, honestly, when you know, you know, and
- 13:40Speaker 1: something that we have made a commitment to do is
- 13:43Speaker 1: to pursue purity and wait till marriage, you know, to
- 13:46Speaker 1: have sex, and because of that, we're not trying to
- 13:50Speaker 1: have a super long engagement, and so because of that,
- 13:54Speaker 1: we're like, let's wrap this up. How quickly can we go?
- 13:57Speaker 1: How quickly can we get down the aisle? How do
- 14:00Speaker 1: you feel about that? You guys waited a long time
- 14:03Speaker 1: after your engagement. You know, it is very much a
- 14:07Speaker 1: an individual, you know, kind of relational decision. Jessica and
- 14:11Speaker 1: I obviously had gone down two different paths in life,
- 14:13Speaker 1: but as we met, we thought it was important for
- 14:15Speaker 1: us and we thought it was at the best, it
- 14:17Speaker 1: was the healthiest for us to wait for Maddie and Grant.
- 14:21Speaker 1: I know a lot of people had very strong opinions
- 14:24Speaker 1: on what was right and what wasn't. I just don't
- 14:26Speaker 1: know if you can make that judgment call, Like, I
- 14:28Speaker 1: don't know if there's a right or wrong way to
- 14:30Speaker 1: go about it. I think there's things that I mean,
- 14:33Speaker 1: I just think there's a healthiest way to go about it,
- 14:35Speaker 1: and that's whatever is best for the two of you.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Whatever you decide, we will bring you the most joy
- 14:40Speaker 1: and peace and you know, prosperity long term. So I
- 14:44Speaker 1: support it. UH not easy, I will say I'm always
- 14:48Speaker 1: a little bit like cautious, and I don't think they
- 14:51Speaker 1: fall in this category. But when you're in like the
- 14:54Speaker 1: church realm, a lot of people get married really young,
- 14:59Speaker 1: like in college, because they just want to have sex.
- 15:03Speaker 1: And like I always am like, oh, that might be
- 15:05Speaker 1: not the best reason here, like you might want to
- 15:07Speaker 1: make sure like you have some other things going on
- 15:09Speaker 1: in your relationship than just that. But I don't think
- 15:12Speaker 1: they fall into that category. I just think this is
- 15:14Speaker 1: what they decided. But yeah, that you hear that a
- 15:17Speaker 1: lot too. And I think people kind of from the
- 15:19Speaker 1: outside mix that up where they're like thinking that you're
- 15:22Speaker 1: only getting married so that you can have sex, and
- 15:24Speaker 1: it's like, well, if that's you know, you know we
- 15:27Speaker 1: that I have a whole different opinion on that. Anyways, Hey,
- 15:30Speaker 1: bachelor at Bennett Jordan engaged to yoga teacher Emily Chin.
- 15:36Speaker 1: This is his Instagram announcement of it. He goes, we
- 15:38Speaker 1: have a one in four true. Wow that don't don't mangle,
- 15:45Speaker 1: don't boggle my mind like this, Bennett, we have a
- 15:49Speaker 1: one in four hundred trillion chance of being born and
- 15:56Speaker 1: we are two of eight billion people in this world.
- 16:00Speaker 1: I can only thank God for bringing us together and
- 16:04Speaker 1: promised to go on an adventure of a lifetime with you.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Thank you for making me the luckiest man alive. At
- 16:10Speaker 1: Emily Chen they got engaged. Ah, they got engaged on
- 16:16Speaker 1: the thirtieth of June and they're just now talking about it.
- 16:23Speaker 1: I feel like he did not finish his whatever point
- 16:27Speaker 1: he was making. I mean, it's a sweet point, but
- 16:29Speaker 1: he did not finish the equation. Because if you have
- 16:33Speaker 1: one and four hundred trillion chance of being born in
- 16:35Speaker 1: your two of eight billion people in this world, then
- 16:38Speaker 1: the percentage of chances that you would actually meet this
- 16:41Speaker 1: person are Oh man, that's too many zeros for me
- 16:44Speaker 1: to do. You want to figure out how many people
- 16:46Speaker 1: we meet in our lifetimes. Yeah, well yes, and that
- 16:49Speaker 1: you would meet that exact person. I feel like that's
- 16:52Speaker 1: where he was trying to go with that. I would
- 16:53Speaker 1: like to seeing him finished that equation a little bit more.
- 16:56Speaker 1: But either way, very sweet message, very happy for another engagement.
- 17:02Speaker 1: In Batchel Nation. You might remember Bennett Jordan's what season
- 17:05Speaker 1: was he on? Who was his bachelorette? He was on
- 17:08Speaker 1: UM season tastious season. Okay, that makes sense. Yeah, he
- 17:11Speaker 1: had a big, kind of a little bit of a
- 17:14Speaker 1: controversy or arguments. Uh during that season with Noah, Yeah,
- 17:21Speaker 1: that was that was an interesting one to watch. There's
- 17:23Speaker 1: that gift kind of thing given. I remember that that
- 17:26Speaker 1: was weird. Uh. Hey on from Bachelor engagements to Bachelor breakups. Now,
- 17:34Speaker 1: I know we have a lot of Tyler Cameron fans
- 17:36Speaker 1: out there were Tyler Cameron frans, he fans. He came
- 17:38Speaker 1: on the podcast. He was very nice, very easy to
- 17:41Speaker 1: talk to. I enjoyed my conversation. I will yeah, but
- 17:46Speaker 1: your conversation, I will make this comment. I feel like
- 17:50Speaker 1: I'm giving a lot of Tyler Cameron like breakup relationship
- 17:54Speaker 1: news like recently, Like I can't keep track of this.
- 17:57Speaker 1: This is where I fall short. So Tyler, if you
- 18:00Speaker 1: could do us a favor here at the Almost fame
- 18:01Speaker 1: As podcast, Um, you know, slow down or simplify this
- 18:06Speaker 1: a little bit for me. I cannot wait till one
- 18:08Speaker 1: day he does get does get engaged in somebody posted
- 18:11Speaker 1: Tyler Cameron really like relationship timeline because then I think
- 18:15Speaker 1: people would agree with me, like, yeah, it's gonna be
- 18:17Speaker 1: hard to cover anyways. Tyler Cameron reveals Page Laurens split
- 18:21Speaker 1: weeks after going public with relationship The quote is we
- 18:25Speaker 1: had to take a step back now. Actually, you might
- 18:28Speaker 1: be able to fill in some gaps from me. I
- 18:29Speaker 1: did see that Tyler said this during an interview, and
- 18:32Speaker 1: you can break that down. But then Paige has now
- 18:34Speaker 1: responded on Instagram or something on a comment saying yeah,
- 18:39Speaker 1: like she didn't know he was talking about it, but
- 18:41Speaker 1: they did split, so she is confirmed it as well. Okay, well, yeah,
- 18:45Speaker 1: he was on Daily Pop and he told Lonnie Love,
- 18:48Speaker 1: who loves him, uh, that they are not didding anymore.
- 18:52Speaker 1: He said, we're He put it so funny, like he
- 18:56Speaker 1: didn't want to say it. So but when he goes,
- 18:58Speaker 1: it wasn't the right timing. We're back to, you know,
- 19:00Speaker 1: not dating anymore, just doing our own thing right now.
- 19:05Speaker 1: We have a bunch of respect and love for each other.
- 19:07Speaker 1: It's just not the right time for both of us
- 19:09Speaker 1: right now. He goes, and I had to break the
- 19:11Speaker 1: news to you, Lonnie. Um, so he confirms that he's
- 19:16Speaker 1: absolutely single again. Now listen, you're right. We we've had
- 19:19Speaker 1: a Tyler Kim and roller coaster. It was is he
- 19:21Speaker 1: or is he not? With Hannah Brown. Then there was
- 19:23Speaker 1: the whole Jiug thing, and then there was his last girlfriend,
- 19:26Speaker 1: which I feel like they broke up, like not that
- 19:28Speaker 1: long ago, right, it was just a matter of months
- 19:30Speaker 1: and then he started dating page. Now listen, at least
- 19:34Speaker 1: we know he is a relationship man, as he's claimed
- 19:37Speaker 1: on the show, and he could not be a relationship man.
- 19:41Speaker 1: He's he could have a different lady every night if
- 19:43Speaker 1: he if he please. But he's a relationship guy, which
- 19:46Speaker 1: is very nice. Um, I think it's very nice. Okay,
- 19:49Speaker 1: now listen. I find the timing here a little suspect.
- 19:54Speaker 1: They I'm also just creating drama for myself right now,
- 19:57Speaker 1: because we all know I don't off You guys know,
- 20:00Speaker 1: I made it a big deal last night at Audrey's.
- 20:02Speaker 1: We did a Q and A and somebody asked like,
- 20:05Speaker 1: who do you want to be the next Bachelor, and
- 20:07Speaker 1: I very passionately said that I wanted to be Tyler Cameron.
- 20:11Speaker 1: I want this show to do anything to get Tyler
- 20:15Speaker 1: Cameron to be the Bachelor because I want these ratings
- 20:18Speaker 1: coming up. I want people who don't normally watch the
- 20:20Speaker 1: show to watch this show. And I think he's the
- 20:24Speaker 1: man that can do this job. Now, I'm making up
- 20:30Speaker 1: drama here by saying the timing is a little suspect
- 20:32Speaker 1: just because, like they did, just announce a relationship. Why
- 20:34Speaker 1: would you go public with a relationship that you weren't
- 20:36Speaker 1: super sure it was gonna, you know, stand the test
- 20:39Speaker 1: of a month. Uh So I'm thinking, what if ABC's
- 20:45Speaker 1: talking to him right now and they're doing everything they
- 20:48Speaker 1: can can do to convince him to become the Bachelor,
- 20:50Speaker 1: And he was like, all right, you know what, I'm
- 20:52Speaker 1: not this girl. I like um, but she's not my wife,
- 20:56Speaker 1: and I'm not going to give up this opportunity of
- 21:00Speaker 1: all the things that they could possibly be giving me.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Um my life. You're crazy. It's no shot. There's no way.
- 21:09Speaker 1: There's no shot. I will say though that would help
- 21:12Speaker 1: the show. You know who else would help the show.
- 21:15Speaker 1: It needs to be stund casting. It needs to be
- 21:17Speaker 1: like a celebrity. And I think that Tyler is somewhere
- 21:20Speaker 1: in between. Okay, fine, Pete Davidson another. You think that
- 21:27Speaker 1: Pete Davidson is going to become the Bachelor before Tyler
- 21:31Speaker 1: is going to become the Bachelor. You think that's more realistic. Oh,
- 21:34Speaker 1: I don't think either of them are happening. Actually, I
- 21:36Speaker 1: think we just got to throw over a white flag.
- 21:37Speaker 1: But either one, Bring it on, feed me poured into
- 21:42Speaker 1: my bring them both on. Come on, let's let's have
- 21:45Speaker 1: them co do this thing and see how it goes.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Bringing a Kardashian just to be a part of the cast. Now,
- 21:53Speaker 1: that is truly never happening, all right? Well, uh more
- 21:59Speaker 1: Sad News and Bass Nation. Jacqueline Trumbull addresses decision to
- 22:05Speaker 1: call off wedding to Paul Sally due to irresolvable incompatibilities
- 22:13Speaker 1: Disaccording to US Weekly, that sounds like a different way
- 22:16Speaker 1: of seeing irreconcilable differences. Those are just two six two
- 22:20Speaker 1: similars from in reconcilable differences, often on divorce papers. Um. Okay,
- 22:28Speaker 1: So if you guys remember Jacqueline was on our podcast
- 22:32Speaker 1: in the fall and she was talking about her wedding
- 22:35Speaker 1: to Paul, who she met while at school. And I
- 22:40Speaker 1: think she's getting her doctorate. I'm sorry if I don't
- 22:43Speaker 1: remember exactly she's getting, but it's a high level degree.
- 22:46Speaker 1: And Paul was again not one or either her teacher
- 22:50Speaker 1: or the t A, which I thought was very juicy. Um,
- 22:54Speaker 1: but I guess they had I resolved er irresolvable incompatible abilities.
- 23:00Speaker 1: And she called off the wedding seemingly very close to
- 23:05Speaker 1: the actual wedding because she kept the whole trip to
- 23:08Speaker 1: Portugal in which they were going to get married, and
- 23:12Speaker 1: she instead of getting married to Paul. There had a
- 23:15Speaker 1: whole bunch of family and friends come out and they
- 23:18Speaker 1: enjoyed a big trip together. She says a deep thank
- 23:21Speaker 1: you to my wonderful friends and family and even my
- 23:24Speaker 1: advisor for coming out to Portugal. Even though I chose
- 23:28Speaker 1: not to get married and and my relationship, almost all
- 23:31Speaker 1: of my wedding guests came out and showered me with
- 23:33Speaker 1: love and support. It was such an incredibly moving week,
- 23:35Speaker 1: and I'll never forget the kindness of my friends during
- 23:38Speaker 1: such a difficult time. It was beautiful to see these
- 23:42Speaker 1: people who have known separately throughout my life fall in
- 23:45Speaker 1: love with each other. It's doesn't like Dirk's Bidley have
- 23:49Speaker 1: a song like drunk on a plane, Get drunk on
- 23:52Speaker 1: a plane. This is getting drunk on a plane. That's
- 23:54Speaker 1: what I would do that, But getting drunk on a plane.
- 23:59Speaker 1: I feel like he was totally dropped at the altar.
- 24:02Speaker 1: I feel like Jacqueline, I'm also just making up drama here.
- 24:05Speaker 1: I feel like she might have been the one to
- 24:08Speaker 1: call this off. Well, yeah, I don't think you have
- 24:11Speaker 1: the I don't think you go to Portugal unless you
- 24:14Speaker 1: were the one making this decision. That would just be
- 24:17Speaker 1: my guest. Maybe maybe, But we can have a back
- 24:19Speaker 1: on and talk about it. Well, this sounds very under
- 24:22Speaker 1: the Tuscan sun as well. Yeah it does. Yeah, you're right. Uh.
- 24:27Speaker 1: Former Bachelor at Michelle Young says she's happier. Yes, this
- 24:30Speaker 1: is a quote happier after Nate split. This according to people,
- 24:35Speaker 1: So this is not her only Instagram post post split
- 24:39Speaker 1: from Nate, but it is the first one we got
- 24:42Speaker 1: where she like kind of like updated people on her
- 24:45Speaker 1: state of being. And it's a whole bunch of single
- 24:49Speaker 1: pictures of her with UM the song good Vibes playing,
- 24:55Speaker 1: and her caption reads happier just one word caption, happier.
- 25:02Speaker 1: UM and Jesse Palmer responded and says happy looks good
- 25:05Speaker 1: on you. So I hope she's feeling better since we
- 25:08Speaker 1: last spoke to her. But you know, this is a
- 25:11Speaker 1: big relationship, big ending and UM, I know it's gonna
- 25:14Speaker 1: take time for her to truly, you know, start feeling
- 25:18Speaker 1: much better. But I hope that she's taking a huge
- 25:20Speaker 1: step forward. Now. Well, that's all the Bachelor headlines we
- 25:33Speaker 1: have for you today. It's time Ashley to break down
- 25:36Speaker 1: the latest episode of the Bachelorette with Rachel and Gabby
- 25:41Speaker 1: as our Bachelorette's Ashley. They arrive in Bruges bell jump.
- 25:47Speaker 1: I've never even heard of this place, said, you know, Bruge. Nope,
- 25:51Speaker 1: I never heard of it. Well, uh, we haven't got
- 25:54Speaker 1: to really dig in. I know last week when we
- 25:56Speaker 1: were in Tahoe, you broke down the episode with Trista utter,
- 26:02Speaker 1: but I have I'm sure you spoke about it, but
- 26:05Speaker 1: I just want to comment again how wild it is
- 26:08Speaker 1: to me. I told Jessica this last night, uh, that
- 26:14Speaker 1: they're cruising around on a legitimate cruise ship with I mean,
- 26:18Speaker 1: I know that there's a lot of people that work
- 26:20Speaker 1: on the show. So they say there's a hundred people
- 26:22Speaker 1: that work on the show, and at this point there's
- 26:24Speaker 1: you know, close to twenty cast members and then so
- 26:29Speaker 1: that's like a twenty people on a legitimately massive cruise
- 26:33Speaker 1: ship cruising around Europe. I think this would be awesome,
- 26:37Speaker 1: the coolest. So Tristan I did talk last week about
- 26:40Speaker 1: how like I'm a huge cruiser and this is thrilling
- 26:44Speaker 1: to me. This would be the coolest way to do
- 26:47Speaker 1: the Bachelorette. This ship probably has at least passengers and like, yeah,
- 26:56Speaker 1: probably close to a thousand crew, and that's something totally
- 26:59Speaker 1: lowballing the numbers. It is a Virgin ship, and Virgin
- 27:04Speaker 1: is a new cruise line like that. This is their
- 27:06Speaker 1: first time getting into cruising, so I can understand them
- 27:09Speaker 1: liking the press on this, but it still seems like
- 27:12Speaker 1: a huge get. It's awesome, I mean really really incredible,
- 27:18Speaker 1: and hey, you know what, I think it's working for
- 27:20Speaker 1: the show. I don't know if we fully always understand
- 27:23Speaker 1: that they're on a cruise ship as like people are
- 27:26Speaker 1: filming and as you know, the conversations are existing, but
- 27:30Speaker 1: I think it'd be a really fun way to do
- 27:32Speaker 1: the show. I hope they can do it all the time.
- 27:33Speaker 1: And the cruise ship looks awesome. It's showing off really
- 27:36Speaker 1: well um for for everybody involved, and I like it.
- 27:40Speaker 1: I like it for this reason because like night dates,
- 27:43Speaker 1: when the cruise ship is probably having to move locations,
- 27:47Speaker 1: you're within ten minutes of your room, which sometimes on
- 27:51Speaker 1: night dates you'd be like an hour and a half
- 27:52Speaker 1: from the place that you're staying, which just makes for
- 27:55Speaker 1: later nights. Well, actually, before we break down the episode
- 27:58Speaker 1: as we do every week, ratings report has just came
- 28:01Speaker 1: out as of forty minutes ago. ABC does top the
- 28:05Speaker 1: evening the Bachelrette Um number one for the night with
- 28:08Speaker 1: three point zero six million viewers. I believe that is
- 28:14Speaker 1: the most years they've had UH yet. I think actually
- 28:19Speaker 1: I can almost confirm that because I feel like they're
- 28:22Speaker 1: in the two millions. For the last couple of weeks.
- 28:24Speaker 1: UM got a point seven rating UH in the eighteen
- 28:29Speaker 1: to forty nine viewership, which is you know, obviously the
- 28:31Speaker 1: one that is most important. It topped NBC and Fox,
- 28:36Speaker 1: who both got point three each. So the Bachelor that
- 28:40Speaker 1: showed up last night people tuned in. Yeah, but guess what,
- 28:44Speaker 1: it was probably the worst episode for people to turn
- 28:47Speaker 1: into because I don't think that that episode is going
- 28:49Speaker 1: to get anybody hooked that episode. And I liked last
- 28:54Speaker 1: week's episode. You guys can go and listen to the
- 28:56Speaker 1: recap with Tristo last week, like I was passed and
- 29:00Speaker 1: it Yeah, yo, I have nothing to say about this one.
- 29:04Speaker 1: This guy. It took me forever to get through this
- 29:06Speaker 1: episode of person pause and pause and pause. I was
- 29:08Speaker 1: not captivated. I know. Well, let's still break it down
- 29:12Speaker 1: and see why you weren't captivated. I have a few thoughts.
- 29:17Speaker 1: We're gonna break it down in order, from the start
- 29:20Speaker 1: to the finish. Uh. Even got the one on one
- 29:24Speaker 1: we know that's happening. The date card has Tino Zack, Meatball, Ethan, Tyler,
- 29:28Speaker 1: Logan uh in it. But we also we also have
- 29:33Speaker 1: the storyline of Logan kind of you know, going over
- 29:36Speaker 1: to Gabby's side Rachel at this point. Uh, it's hard
- 29:43Speaker 1: to graph through the television. But at the first part
- 29:47Speaker 1: of this episode, my wife was watching it with me,
- 29:51Speaker 1: which is why she also heard the weird like, uh,
- 29:55Speaker 1: and I know who wrote it, so it's funny. It's ridiculous.
- 29:58Speaker 1: But these like tags to get people to say in
- 30:00Speaker 1: it for the show are ridiculous, Like, Hey, well, I know,
- 30:04Speaker 1: I think they're good, but they're ridiculous. They like throw
- 30:07Speaker 1: me off every time, Like, I'm kind of now excited
- 30:09Speaker 1: to hear what weirdness they come up with next. But
- 30:12Speaker 1: she's like, what they just say if you're dating your cousin?
- 30:14Speaker 1: Like who what? Anyways, Um, the Logan storyline and Rachel
- 30:20Speaker 1: just being like really down. And we talked about it
- 30:23Speaker 1: a few weeks ago how this show can either really
- 30:26Speaker 1: help your confidence or really hurt your confidence quickly. As
- 30:30Speaker 1: the lead, I feel like at this point, like if
- 30:35Speaker 1: if we were to sit Rachel down in that moment,
- 30:37Speaker 1: like her confidence is shot, and I get why. I
- 30:42Speaker 1: don't think it should be. I think she is beautiful.
- 30:45Speaker 1: I think she's really great. I think she's gonna find
- 30:47Speaker 1: somebody here that's gonna be a great cast for her still,
- 30:51Speaker 1: but I get why she's just struggling, and I think
- 30:55Speaker 1: it's fair. I mean, she's getting a raw into this deal.
- 30:59Speaker 1: She's certainly is they, you know, and I don't want
- 31:04Speaker 1: to bring up a gun, but they were all like,
- 31:06Speaker 1: we're not going to pit them against each other, and like, yeah,
- 31:09Speaker 1: they didn't directly put the girls against each other, but
- 31:11Speaker 1: like in having guys, she sort of choose you kind
- 31:17Speaker 1: of putting them, You're putting their ego at risk? Is
- 31:23Speaker 1: it an ego? At this point though? Is that the
- 31:25Speaker 1: right word? I think I think you have to actually
- 31:29Speaker 1: go to it. Like I feel like somebody with the
- 31:31Speaker 1: like the most humble, uh, most caring, most giving uh
- 31:37Speaker 1: person who has no ego would still be hurt in
- 31:41Speaker 1: this moment. She just got rejected when they were back
- 31:43Speaker 1: at the mansion by multiple people. Then she shows up
- 31:46Speaker 1: feeling confident in her group. I don't know if you
- 31:49Speaker 1: could consider Logan a front runner, but he's he's definitely
- 31:52Speaker 1: a like a player in this, Like he actually like
- 31:56Speaker 1: he could be somebody for one of these one them.
- 32:01Speaker 1: And then he comes in after she's just kind of
- 32:04Speaker 1: back and settled in and does this Now the question
- 32:08Speaker 1: I have for you and to the listeners, was Logan
- 32:13Speaker 1: wrong in doing this? Like did he should he have
- 32:17Speaker 1: just left the show? Or was he right in communicating
- 32:21Speaker 1: this when he did? And also then moving over to
- 32:24Speaker 1: Gabby side. Okay, so first I want to say, like
- 32:28Speaker 1: I said, the word ego and I now know the
- 32:31Speaker 1: better way of saying it put the girls in a position,
- 32:35Speaker 1: specifically in the past couple of cases, Rachel putting her
- 32:38Speaker 1: in the position to be hurt. So that's what sucks. Now.
- 32:45Speaker 1: I don't I agree with everything you're saying. I just
- 32:47Speaker 1: want to play Devil's advocate to bring in a point.
- 32:50Speaker 1: I had somebody on my well really two people during
- 32:54Speaker 1: my time as the bachelor leave as well, like on
- 32:58Speaker 1: their own accord. So I will say no matter if
- 33:02Speaker 1: there is two or one. And I'm saying this because
- 33:05Speaker 1: I'm hoping Rachel doesn't feel like she's alone by this
- 33:09Speaker 1: happening to her. I think it can still happen. Now,
- 33:12Speaker 1: it's different when the guy just is like, hey, I
- 33:14Speaker 1: like that other person more. I think that adds an
- 33:16Speaker 1: element that isn't fun to see and kind of it hurts,
- 33:19Speaker 1: probably worse, but it could still happen at some level
- 33:25Speaker 1: with one bachelor at or bachelor or two bachelorets or bachelor.
- 33:30Speaker 1: Now with Paradise, you're always in the position of being hurt,
- 33:35Speaker 1: and you're always in the position of possibly being rejected.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Like at any moment, somebody can come down the stairs
- 33:41Speaker 1: and you can be rejected. But it is different. We're
- 33:43Speaker 1: supposed we're supposed to feel like we need to protect
- 33:45Speaker 1: the lead a little bit more from rejection. Okay, So
- 33:51Speaker 1: your question was what did he did he make like?
- 33:56Speaker 1: Is he is this a villain type moment for Logan
- 34:00Speaker 1: or not. I don't think it's a villain type moment.
- 34:03Speaker 1: I also don't think he has like a villainous bone
- 34:05Speaker 1: in his body. They never even played scary music behind it,
- 34:09Speaker 1: and like, I don't even think he was ever supposed
- 34:11Speaker 1: to be like looked at like a villain. Um. I
- 34:14Speaker 1: do think that maybe he could have been. I mean,
- 34:18Speaker 1: if we could go back, he could have been a
- 34:20Speaker 1: little bit more upfront. He could have probably when they
- 34:25Speaker 1: were like drafting teams been been like, can I talk
- 34:29Speaker 1: to you for a minute. I'm really I'm really between
- 34:32Speaker 1: you guys. I really kind of want to explore both
- 34:34Speaker 1: options that I don't know how I would have gone over.
- 34:38Speaker 1: It probably wouldn't have gone over good for him then
- 34:41Speaker 1: and I and he definitely wanted to do this last week,
- 34:46Speaker 1: but he did the I guess like the only thing
- 34:48Speaker 1: that he really did that's questionable is accepting Rachel's rose
- 34:51Speaker 1: last week and not pulling her aside before he accepted that. Yeah, well,
- 34:59Speaker 1: I mean yes, I think it would be really hard
- 35:02Speaker 1: to say what he said. I don't think he did
- 35:05Speaker 1: it perfectly. I don't know if there's a perfect moment.
- 35:07Speaker 1: I also think that Rachel had every right to be
- 35:09Speaker 1: really sad. I mean, I'm not giving her permissionees, I
- 35:12Speaker 1: just I can feel I felt for her in that moment,
- 35:15Speaker 1: Like I was like I'd be bummed like, I'd be
- 35:18Speaker 1: torn up if this was if I was in Rachel's position.
- 35:20Speaker 1: No wonder she's crying. I'd be crying. I'd be confused,
- 35:22Speaker 1: I'd be onet to go home. Uh but Logan does
- 35:26Speaker 1: I mean that's what happens, Logan tells her. Um, she
- 35:29Speaker 1: says okay, and he goes and talks to Gabby. Well,
- 35:33Speaker 1: Rachel actually talks to Gabby. Gabby then allows Logan to
- 35:37Speaker 1: come under her side, so Logan is now there. He's
- 35:39Speaker 1: a part of Gabby's group, which leads us to Rachel's
- 35:43Speaker 1: group date, which is canceled at this point. Obviously, the
- 35:46Speaker 1: boys are confused and upset about not having this group date. Ashley, Um,
- 35:56Speaker 1: I wish I would have known I could have canceled
- 35:57Speaker 1: group dates. You're like, I could have used the rest. Yeah,
- 36:02Speaker 1: the rest would have been nice. So it is nice
- 36:04Speaker 1: that she gets this time to like regroup and and
- 36:06Speaker 1: then she does meet up with the guys at the
- 36:09Speaker 1: after party break that down for us. Well, she seems
- 36:13Speaker 1: to be in much better spirits at this point. Hopefully
- 36:16Speaker 1: she's realizing that Wigan and her wear aren't gonna end
- 36:20Speaker 1: up together. That's why this whole episode is kind of
- 36:24Speaker 1: bad to me because most of the storyline. If we'd
- 36:28Speaker 1: have what's her name Bachelor, what's her what's her name who?
- 36:31Speaker 1: She breaks down the Bachelor stats, Bachelor data, Bachelor data,
- 36:35Speaker 1: she would show us that Logan gets more screen time
- 36:38Speaker 1: than anyone, more than any of the guys in this episode,
- 36:42Speaker 1: and he just he's not going to end up with
- 36:46Speaker 1: either of them. That's why this is so not compelling
- 36:49Speaker 1: to me. It's because he wasn't a front runner who
- 36:51Speaker 1: decided to go back and forth. Okay, so Rachel and
- 36:54Speaker 1: Gabby have a talk before she goes into her nighttime
- 36:59Speaker 1: portion of the group day, and they're cool, you know,
- 37:03Speaker 1: they they really do see like eye to eye, and
- 37:06Speaker 1: it's it's nice that there's no drama between them. Um.
- 37:11Speaker 1: And then she goes in and she gets to talk
- 37:14Speaker 1: to Ethan, and she talks to Tino. She talks to
- 37:21Speaker 1: let me pause you here for a second. Here's something
- 37:22Speaker 1: really interesting about Ethan that I found out last night.
- 37:24Speaker 1: Ethan was on Bachelor Live on stage, and I could
- 37:27Speaker 1: not I did not remember that he was a bachelor. Yeah,
- 37:30Speaker 1: he was a bachelor when I did in Seattle, so
- 37:32Speaker 1: I kind of always felt like I recognized them but
- 37:34Speaker 1: I never made the connection. And then son of a
- 37:36Speaker 1: Gun posted on the Instagram. Okay, uh, that's really cool.
- 37:42Speaker 1: Then Tino um basically said, like the Tino moment. It's
- 37:46Speaker 1: always stands out to me. This is this is the
- 37:48Speaker 1: storyline I care about the most, and everybody knows this.
- 37:52Speaker 1: He says that, um, it doesn't sit well that she
- 37:56Speaker 1: had to cancel the party, I mean canceled the daytime
- 37:59Speaker 1: portion of the group to and that um, she's obviously
- 38:03Speaker 1: so sad. Like he hates this, and he says, this
- 38:07Speaker 1: will just big huge. He says, I see Rachel as
- 38:10Speaker 1: my person um, and today they lost memories that they
- 38:16Speaker 1: could have had together, and her canceling the group date
- 38:22Speaker 1: during the day made him feel unseen. He feels like
- 38:28Speaker 1: their relationship is where they can talk about stuff like this.
- 38:32Speaker 1: So I felt like last week or was it two
- 38:35Speaker 1: weeks ago? Last week, I think, um, yeah, they had
- 38:38Speaker 1: the one on one and I was like, look, I
- 38:39Speaker 1: need to know more about Tino's personality because I like
- 38:43Speaker 1: to think that he's swoony, but I don't know if
- 38:45Speaker 1: we know him yet. And now like we see him
- 38:47Speaker 1: like he's taking charge, like he's like no, no, like
- 38:50Speaker 1: I'm serious about this, do you well. I mean, I
- 38:55Speaker 1: think Tino is definitely a front runner. It's interesting, Ashley, Uh,
- 39:01Speaker 1: Tino is probably, I would say at this point, him
- 39:03Speaker 1: and Evan are two of the most known people on
- 39:08Speaker 1: this cast, right, both on Rachel's side. Oh, they're all
- 39:12Speaker 1: on Rachel's side to me, like, that's why I'm more
- 39:15Speaker 1: interested in Rachel's storyline. But Tino, and this is just
- 39:20Speaker 1: a weird thing. He only has twenty thousand followers on Instagram,
- 39:23Speaker 1: which is a lot, right still, but most time when
- 39:27Speaker 1: you have a Frowner and a cast, they are upwards
- 39:30Speaker 1: of a hundred. I'm just wondering if that's part of
- 39:34Speaker 1: the the signs of the engagement from the show this year.
- 39:38Speaker 1: It's just interesting to me that I just looked it
- 39:39Speaker 1: up because I wanted to see, like our people jumping
- 39:42Speaker 1: on with Tino's story, and I think they are because
- 39:44Speaker 1: they looked up Tino's name. There's some comments there that
- 39:47Speaker 1: people were asking, did Tino make that about himself too much?
- 39:51Speaker 1: Like did he? I'm so glad you said that thought? Okay,
- 39:58Speaker 1: so yes, I think that we saw Tino come into
- 39:59Speaker 1: his own and that he showed like passion in that moment.
- 40:03Speaker 1: But to me, it was a little bit of questionable
- 40:07Speaker 1: passion because a part of me who's been rooting for him,
- 40:12Speaker 1: mostly because like he seems like this like sexy leading
- 40:14Speaker 1: man may inmate. He made me feel like, oh, no,
- 40:19Speaker 1: is he just trying to win this? This is a
- 40:21Speaker 1: competition thing for him? That crossed my mind for the
- 40:24Speaker 1: like that cross my mind and trying to block it
- 40:27Speaker 1: out and say no, no, no, But it was there. Yeah,
- 40:29Speaker 1: I mean it has to. That's the question you ask
- 40:31Speaker 1: every front runner, is you know, what's their intentions here?
- 40:34Speaker 1: But I do think he's He's very into Rachel. I
- 40:37Speaker 1: do feel like their chemistry together is is very good. Um,
- 40:43Speaker 1: I would have to put him as the front runner
- 40:45Speaker 1: at this point. But I mean, if we speed this
- 40:48Speaker 1: up a bit, Rachel has her group day, Um, you know,
- 40:51Speaker 1: obviously Tino gets the rose, which makes everybody they're kind
- 40:57Speaker 1: of I would say, I'd say it's always hard when
- 41:01Speaker 1: somebody has a one on one and then the next
- 41:03Speaker 1: week to get a group day rose. You just kind
- 41:06Speaker 1: of feel like, wow, is everybody else just watching this
- 41:09Speaker 1: relationship unfold? And it do I matter at all? And
- 41:11Speaker 1: this I mean, I do know that's a feeling that
- 41:13Speaker 1: comes about. Uh So, Tina's definitely the front runner. But
- 41:17Speaker 1: I'm telling you, for as high as we all are
- 41:21Speaker 1: in Tino, and for as much as we think Rachel
- 41:24Speaker 1: Tino have a connection, no matter how that conversation went down,
- 41:27Speaker 1: and at this point we have no reason to really
- 41:30Speaker 1: question Tino's intentions. I think Aven might be the sneaky
- 41:36Speaker 1: pick here because I feel like he's consistent. I feel
- 41:41Speaker 1: like they have something special. I feel like he's kind
- 41:45Speaker 1: of just like navigating this process quietly. His emotions are
- 41:50Speaker 1: are fairly kept in most of the time when it
- 41:52Speaker 1: comes to Rachel, but I know he's into her. I
- 41:56Speaker 1: feel like even might I mean, yes, Tino seems the
- 42:00Speaker 1: guy that we're all going to be like, of course
- 42:01Speaker 1: they're gonna get together. I think Teena even might be
- 42:03Speaker 1: that guy that sneaks through, okay, totally down even moves
- 42:09Speaker 1: up to my second place for her right now. After
- 42:13Speaker 1: this one on one that they have. It's really cute,
- 42:15Speaker 1: it's really light. Of course, during the day they go
- 42:16Speaker 1: to chocolate store. Um, they're in a horse and carriage
- 42:22Speaker 1: that he talks about his mom. We didn't get like
- 42:24Speaker 1: a lot of dates. Um, but his childhood. We find
- 42:27Speaker 1: out that he grew up mostly with his dad and
- 42:29Speaker 1: he didn't really have a close relationship with his mom
- 42:32Speaker 1: until he got older. He gives Rachel a cute little
- 42:37Speaker 1: Rubber brand rubber bracelet for good luck. That um that
- 42:42Speaker 1: was you know, his, that is his mom's. And it's
- 42:46Speaker 1: just nice and easy breezy, you know, just nice, easy,
- 42:49Speaker 1: breezy day. And I really like his vibes and his
- 42:52Speaker 1: energy and he's very cute, and uh, I'm feeling him
- 42:56Speaker 1: more than Zach. So I think Zach was our runner
- 42:59Speaker 1: up for Rachel it for a while. And Zack, you know,
- 43:02Speaker 1: his date was great a couple of weeks ago, but
- 43:04Speaker 1: for some reason, I feel like he's slipping. Yeah, well,
- 43:07Speaker 1: we haven't seen a lot of them, but I agree
- 43:08Speaker 1: with that. I don't know if we will see anything
- 43:10Speaker 1: more from his act because these two even, you know,
- 43:13Speaker 1: kind of feel as we get down to just a
- 43:15Speaker 1: few on each side as the front runners. Actually I
- 43:19Speaker 1: wonder this, I'm just gonna throw this out there. Do
- 43:23Speaker 1: you think any of these guys are sitting there seeing
- 43:25Speaker 1: Tino get the first or the one on one then
- 43:28Speaker 1: the group date rose even obviously getting the one on
- 43:32Speaker 1: one seeing those connections, Bill, do you think any of
- 43:35Speaker 1: those guys around there going, Wow, I don't know if
- 43:38Speaker 1: I have a chance with Rachel anymore. I think she's
- 43:40Speaker 1: pretty focused and in their heads they're thinking. I wonder
- 43:44Speaker 1: if you know, because Gabby feels a lot more uh open.
- 43:48Speaker 1: Right now, there's not like a clear front runner in
- 43:51Speaker 1: my mind. Do you think any of them going, maybe
- 43:52Speaker 1: we just like move over to see if that could
- 43:57Speaker 1: work too? Like, do you think they're thinking that now
- 43:59Speaker 1: after like the Logan scenario. Not at this point, there's
- 44:03Speaker 1: too far They're too far in, too far in, so
- 44:05Speaker 1: that's not gonna happen. Yeah, I don't think they're thinking that. Okay,
- 44:08Speaker 1: so Aven's one on one with Rachel goes really well, Uh, nothing,
- 44:12Speaker 1: you know, um, nothing more or less than I think
- 44:16Speaker 1: their connection is strong. They opened up to each other,
- 44:18Speaker 1: they share their stories. Uh, and I feel like Avan
- 44:22Speaker 1: does move up to that second position if we're ranking them,
- 44:26Speaker 1: I love to rank and then we have to come on,
- 44:28Speaker 1: Well that moves just to Gabby. Gabby has a one
- 44:33Speaker 1: on one date with Johnny. I what were you going
- 44:39Speaker 1: to say, Well, we finally see Johnny here for a
- 44:43Speaker 1: while and now we get his now we're seeing him
- 44:47Speaker 1: and I like him. He's cool. Uh, they have a
- 44:49Speaker 1: good vibe. It's you know. What's interesting is like the
- 44:53Speaker 1: big they're big conversation here is about anxiety and depression,
- 44:57Speaker 1: which is similar to the conversation sort of kind of
- 45:00Speaker 1: that she had last week with Jason, And we know
- 45:05Speaker 1: that this is something that she's definitely dealt with. So
- 45:07Speaker 1: it's a way of her to connect with these guys. Uh.
- 45:12Speaker 1: He says, this is very interesting that he's the least
- 45:16Speaker 1: confident person ever and he's very hard on himself. And
- 45:19Speaker 1: what I kept pondering, what does this mean? What does
- 45:22Speaker 1: this mean? He says, every time he gets in a relationship,
- 45:26Speaker 1: once he starts being himself, the girl gets out. And
- 45:30Speaker 1: I'm like, Johnny, what now we got? Now? Is that
- 45:37Speaker 1: I want to know? Is this Is this a weird
- 45:40Speaker 1: red flag? No? I think it's a legitimate and security
- 45:44Speaker 1: and I'm sure there's it's more nuanced than that. In
- 45:48Speaker 1: his mind, he's creating that narrative, right, you can get
- 45:50Speaker 1: into like psychoanalysis here and seeing like kind of how
- 45:54Speaker 1: you see yourself and how you see others see you,
- 45:57Speaker 1: and so this is a narrative at some level he's creating,
- 46:00Speaker 1: not and it's not, um, diminishing his story. I'm not
- 46:05Speaker 1: making it not legitimate, but it you know, yes, he
- 46:10Speaker 1: sees it this way. Some people might have met him
- 46:12Speaker 1: and said, hey, I don't think we're a good match
- 46:14Speaker 1: based on who we are as people. Um. But the
- 46:17Speaker 1: every time thing, you know, one of the things you
- 46:20Speaker 1: have to learn when you go through therapy is to
- 46:22Speaker 1: work through that so that you see yourself in the
- 46:24Speaker 1: light that is that is worthy of being loved and
- 46:27Speaker 1: loving somebody else. So he's he's gonna have to work
- 46:30Speaker 1: through that. And the cool part is when you can
- 46:31Speaker 1: do that with your partner, somebody that says I'm gonna
- 46:33Speaker 1: love you like I'm not leaving you. Maybe that's gabbing me,
- 46:36Speaker 1: it's not. I don't know yet, um, but it was
- 46:39Speaker 1: good to see him open up. It makes more sense
- 46:41Speaker 1: now why he is more reserved, why we haven't seen
- 46:44Speaker 1: much from him up until this point. So it's good
- 46:47Speaker 1: to get those, you know, those type of people on
- 46:49Speaker 1: one on ones because now they start making sense to us.
- 46:51Speaker 1: We get to hear their story and here they're human experience,
- 46:56Speaker 1: which isn't ever like simple and which is we're just
- 47:00Speaker 1: purely like pretty there's everybody has stuff, so it's you know,
- 47:04Speaker 1: it's one of my favorite parts of the show is
- 47:06Speaker 1: is understanding that, yeah, everybody has a little stuff. Well
- 47:10Speaker 1: Ashley that one on one day goes well, they obviously
- 47:14Speaker 1: have something they're gonna build on. Um, they have something
- 47:16Speaker 1: that's gonna keep take them in the future. H And
- 47:19Speaker 1: really the most important thing to talk about from this
- 47:22Speaker 1: point is not the cocktail party, it is the row ceremony. Um,
- 47:26Speaker 1: because they kind of just fly through the cocktail party,
- 47:28Speaker 1: it feels like during this episode, so the rose ceremony
- 47:31Speaker 1: comes up. Um, the people and this is where I
- 47:35Speaker 1: want to talk about this as we close out here.
- 47:38Speaker 1: The people that go home are Meatball, Mario, and Michael.
- 47:41Speaker 1: Now I never got to see Michael, and we only
- 47:45Speaker 1: knew of Meatball because all season they called him Meatball,
- 47:48Speaker 1: which just feels like he never stood a chance, never
- 47:52Speaker 1: stood a chance. He was so lucky to get as
- 47:54Speaker 1: far as he did. Not only did he get accepted
- 47:57Speaker 1: back in by Rachel, but he also got a rose
- 48:01Speaker 1: last week. So good for Meatball for making it as
- 48:04Speaker 1: far exactly like he way way over day where I
- 48:09Speaker 1: thought Meatball was going to go. I thought he was
- 48:11Speaker 1: a night winner. Um and I mean, geez, the poor
- 48:14Speaker 1: guy like they called him Meatball. I mean just I
- 48:17Speaker 1: think he liked it. Yeah, well, he likes having a
- 48:21Speaker 1: memorable and I can definitely get an endorsement on Yeah
- 48:24Speaker 1: he can. I mean, if he's smart, he's calling every
- 48:27Speaker 1: meatball shop in the country saying, pay me to post
- 48:30Speaker 1: about your store or do a meatball tour tasting meatballs
- 48:33Speaker 1: around the world. I think Meatball has something going on
- 48:36Speaker 1: for him. The shocking piece here, Ashley, is that Mario
- 48:42Speaker 1: goes home that we we saw Mario get The first
- 48:45Speaker 1: impression was we haven't seen much of mario sins, and
- 48:48Speaker 1: I thought it was because he was such a front
- 48:50Speaker 1: rudder there. We're going to kind of hide him, you know,
- 48:51Speaker 1: for a bit. But like what happened, we have no clue,
- 48:57Speaker 1: like where things went wrong. We have no peace of
- 49:00Speaker 1: Mario's story. And he was the first impression Rose Getter,
- 49:04Speaker 1: didn't Abigail get Matt's first impression Rose, And we kept saying,
- 49:10Speaker 1: where's Abigail, where's Abigail? We want more Abigail. It's like
- 49:13Speaker 1: the exact same thing with Mario. It was really weird.
- 49:16Speaker 1: That we never got to see more of why it
- 49:20Speaker 1: didn't go beyond the first night, you know, and we
- 49:24Speaker 1: never got to see the fact that, um, there was
- 49:29Speaker 1: some sort of not fight over Mario, but Rachel definitely
- 49:33Speaker 1: showed interest in him. Yeah, I know, and but but
- 49:40Speaker 1: all of a sudden, he's not desired by either one
- 49:43Speaker 1: of them. Really, it's a bummer, but I saw it coming.
- 49:46Speaker 1: When you saw the rest of the guy standing there,
- 49:48Speaker 1: You're like, ah, yeah, Mario's gone. I'm definitely Logan's gonna
- 49:51Speaker 1: be Logan's going to get the rose. Once you saw
- 49:55Speaker 1: the cocktail party interaction when Mario was like, hey, look
- 49:59Speaker 1: I'm where my first impression suit and she's like laughing,
- 50:02Speaker 1: but it's not romantic. And then we see with Logan
- 50:06Speaker 1: she slaps him with a fish and then she kisses
- 50:09Speaker 1: him with fish face. That's that's love, that's attraction. Yeah,
- 50:16Speaker 1: it's too bad. I thought I was gonna be around.
- 50:18Speaker 1: But I have a feeling we'll be seeing him in Paradise.
- 50:20Speaker 1: We gotta see him in Paradise. He feels like a
- 50:22Speaker 1: good Paradise contestant and very desirable in Paradise. Well that
- 50:27Speaker 1: to close out this episode, Um, the preview for next week. Uh,
- 50:32Speaker 1: some interesting things that we should pay attention to. Zach
- 50:34Speaker 1: tells Rachel he is falling in love with her. Rachel
- 50:37Speaker 1: tells even everything she asked for he embodies. Okay, some
- 50:42Speaker 1: big Rachel headlines there, and then we go to Gabby.
- 50:44Speaker 1: Gabby tells Eric she has always wanted to be with
- 50:47Speaker 1: someone like him. Gabby feels her dreams are coming true.
- 50:50Speaker 1: Now Here is the interesting part of the preview. We
- 50:56Speaker 1: see Jesse bring up a situation with Logan, who you
- 51:00Speaker 1: had mentioned did not get really a villain musical edit
- 51:05Speaker 1: in his moments. But we see Jesse bring up a
- 51:07Speaker 1: situation with Logan, and then Jesse tells Logan to pack
- 51:10Speaker 1: his bags and Logan does that. It's something to pay
- 51:13Speaker 1: attention to for the future. I bet that happens on
- 51:16Speaker 1: next episode. But if this is something not good for Logan,
- 51:21Speaker 1: then my thought is you should have gone home when
- 51:24Speaker 1: you had the chance. Well, that was the episode for
- 51:27Speaker 1: this week. I have a little inside knowled just to
- 51:30Speaker 1: what the Logan dramas about, and I think you guys
- 51:32Speaker 1: are going to be absolutely um twisted, you know, like
- 51:38Speaker 1: it's not all you expect. That's that's all I can do.
- 51:41Speaker 1: That's all the spoiler I can give. Now. Before we
- 51:45Speaker 1: leave today, we have a very special interview with somebody
- 51:48Speaker 1: that we never really thought would be we'd be able
- 51:50Speaker 1: to have on the show. It is one of our
- 51:53Speaker 1: very very good friends, A Lawn Gale, who is the
- 51:56Speaker 1: former executive producer of the Bachelor. He's also the showrunner
- 52:01Speaker 1: for um F Boy Island and now the showrunner of
- 52:06Speaker 1: The One That Got Away. He's also an executive producer.
- 52:09Speaker 1: You know, he's got his fingers and all of these things.
- 52:12Speaker 1: And we also have one of the contestants on the
- 52:15Speaker 1: One That Got Away, which is on Prime video right now,
- 52:19Speaker 1: Vince coming on. So please welcome A lawng Gale and Vince. Guys.
- 52:36Speaker 1: We have Vince Shoe on from the One That Got
- 52:38Speaker 1: Away and executive producer A Lawn gl guys along. Gael
- 52:42Speaker 1: is also otherwise known in my phone in my life
- 52:46Speaker 1: as my father. He likes to be called um my
- 52:50Speaker 1: father because like my dad's my dad, but like a
- 52:53Speaker 1: lawn is my father, Okay, like a guider and a
- 52:55Speaker 1: spiritual spiritual guide in my life. Um So hello father,
- 53:01Speaker 1: Hello Vince. I've got to start this interview off with
- 53:06Speaker 1: a question for Alan. Alan, You've now proven that you
- 53:10Speaker 1: have can compose, produce, put out three very successful dating shows,
- 53:18Speaker 1: f Boy Island, The One That Got Away, and The
- 53:21Speaker 1: Bachelor for franchise, you're kind of the mastermind behind Bachelor
- 53:26Speaker 1: in Paradise, whether they want to give you credit for
- 53:28Speaker 1: that or not. So question is what is it about
- 53:33Speaker 1: your personality, about your brain that can accomplish so much
- 53:38Speaker 1: in this TV dating realm Uh? Well, Ashley, obviously it's Uh.
- 53:44Speaker 1: I'm happy to be here in an interview with three
- 53:48Speaker 1: examples of why I'm able to do anything, which is
- 53:52Speaker 1: Ashley and then and Vince, who are super open, loving,
- 53:58Speaker 1: giving people who I think hadn't had a chance to
- 54:03Speaker 1: express themselves to their fullest uh and found an opportunity
- 54:08Speaker 1: and took that opportunity. When it comes to their romantic lives,
- 54:12Speaker 1: I think that, you know, I think we all talk
- 54:15Speaker 1: about how important it is to find the one for us,
- 54:18Speaker 1: the one that got away for Ben specifically, but the
- 54:20Speaker 1: one the one for us, and I think that sometimes
- 54:24Speaker 1: we don't put ourselves in a position to find it. Uh.
- 54:29Speaker 1: And then I think that sometimes when you get lucky,
- 54:32Speaker 1: you find a casting notice or somebody refers you to
- 54:36Speaker 1: someone or somebody knows someone that knows you and submits
- 54:39Speaker 1: your name, and then you find yourself in front of
- 54:41Speaker 1: a bunch of people who are interested in your love
- 54:45Speaker 1: life in a way your friends can only ever pretend
- 54:47Speaker 1: to be, because it's like, like, how much can you
- 54:51Speaker 1: listen to the saying? You have these strangers who are
- 54:53Speaker 1: interested in you, right, and it's so fantastic And and
- 54:58Speaker 1: you know, actually you love talking about your feelings. And
- 55:04Speaker 1: I think that there's and and and the truth is
- 55:07Speaker 1: I think we all do. I think that's I think
- 55:09Speaker 1: that's the thing. I think a lot. I think we
- 55:11Speaker 1: really like talking about our feelings, and we don't always
- 55:14Speaker 1: have permission, we don't always have interested parties. And you know,
- 55:19Speaker 1: when you meet someone like I can tell you like
- 55:21Speaker 1: I remember the day I met Vince and I was like, oh, like,
- 55:26Speaker 1: I've been asking questions about his life and his family,
- 55:29Speaker 1: and the answers are honest and you can feel emotion
- 55:34Speaker 1: and spirit and passion behind it, and you just go, okay,
- 55:38Speaker 1: like I'm interested in this person. And I think just
- 55:40Speaker 1: part of it's being like can we how can we
- 55:46Speaker 1: help other people realize what's so interesting about this person?
- 55:50Speaker 1: Because at the end of the day, Like that's all.
- 55:51Speaker 1: It's just people, right, It's just people. Like everything else
- 55:54Speaker 1: is artifice around it, like whether it's a portal, or
- 55:57Speaker 1: whether it's a man's splain, or whether it's living in
- 56:00Speaker 1: Limbro surrounded by coconuts, all of it. Whether oh my god, Jared,
- 56:06Speaker 1: I just saw Jared and a baby baby down the
- 56:10Speaker 1: stairs of the baby behind us in the background. That's beautiful. Hi,
- 56:14Speaker 1: um and all that to say, and and and just
- 56:17Speaker 1: just to put a finer point on it, uh, Ashley
- 56:21Speaker 1: as an example, like you just had the perfect example
- 56:24Speaker 1: of why this all works walk behind you, uh, which
- 56:29Speaker 1: is you focused on the thing you wanted. You were
- 56:33Speaker 1: kind enough to always let us capture it on camera,
- 56:36Speaker 1: and here you are with a tiny baby, Ashley. Um,
- 56:40Speaker 1: and I imagine you guys make a lot of the
- 56:42Speaker 1: same noises. Sorry, could you say that? SERI wants to
- 56:48Speaker 1: get it on this conversation. Oh my god, Allan I
- 56:51Speaker 1: had myself. He's so dramatic and he cries non stop. Yeah,
- 57:01Speaker 1: what what did you expect? Well, it's like take you
- 57:06Speaker 1: and remove filters. Yeah, you get a baby, and you
- 57:11Speaker 1: get a baby. That's what you get. You get. My
- 57:13Speaker 1: co host and somehow we still we're still making this
- 57:16Speaker 1: thing work. Vince. Obviously, you do get to work with
- 57:20Speaker 1: one of our our greatest friends, Alan on this show,
- 57:23Speaker 1: the one that got away. One of my favorite things,
- 57:26Speaker 1: because you know, there's new shows that come out, there's
- 57:28Speaker 1: new shows that I've never heard about that come out.
- 57:31Speaker 1: I always try to follow Alan and what he's working
- 57:34Speaker 1: on because it's just always interesting. But Vince, from your perspective, one,
- 57:40Speaker 1: I guess it's a two part question. I'll just let
- 57:41Speaker 1: you have the stage. Why would Alan ask you to
- 57:44Speaker 1: come on with him for this podcast? And then why
- 57:46Speaker 1: in the world should we watch you on this show?
- 57:51Speaker 1: Oh boy? Well, first of all, I didn't even know
- 57:53Speaker 1: Alan specifically requested me. Now I feel really special, Thank
- 57:57Speaker 1: you man. That's awese. I feel like you know me
- 58:02Speaker 1: and alone kind of have like a really um I think,
- 58:04Speaker 1: a deep understanding of human beings. I think I kind
- 58:07Speaker 1: of like I saw it during my interview with him.
- 58:10Speaker 1: We had like final auditions in l A And that's
- 58:12Speaker 1: the first time I actually met him in person, but
- 58:14Speaker 1: we had a few zoom type of interviews before, and
- 58:17Speaker 1: I could tell that the way along kind of like
- 58:20Speaker 1: analyzes human beings. I felt like I kind of see
- 58:24Speaker 1: humans in the same kind of way and the way
- 58:26Speaker 1: we kind of vibed in that sense, I just felt
- 58:28Speaker 1: like there was a deeper understanding of what we were
- 58:30Speaker 1: doing here, like we were trying to express, like, you know,
- 58:34Speaker 1: just like the the human condition on film and trying
- 58:37Speaker 1: to you know, get this express and and everything that
- 58:40Speaker 1: we have deep inside and trying to show the beautiful
- 58:42Speaker 1: sides of it and the messy sides of it everything,
- 58:45Speaker 1: and that's what makes us human. And you know, I
- 58:47Speaker 1: felt like we have always had that kind of connection.
- 58:49Speaker 1: Our conversations always, you know, seem very like like meaningful,
- 58:53Speaker 1: very like deep, um, very different from a lot of
- 58:56Speaker 1: like surface level conversations you have in the industry. And
- 59:01Speaker 1: I don't know, it could also just be my audition
- 59:03Speaker 1: with him when I freestyle wrapped and I dropped him
- 59:05Speaker 1: in my freestyle, because I remember during the auditions, like
- 59:09Speaker 1: they were they were asking about, oh, what what's your
- 59:11Speaker 1: dating life like? And I told them about this like
- 59:13Speaker 1: one story where I was freestyling in the car, and
- 59:16Speaker 1: I feel like, you know, when you have a girl freestyle,
- 59:18Speaker 1: you kind of break them down a little bit, you know,
- 59:20Speaker 1: more they're they're more vulnerable because they know they're not
- 59:23Speaker 1: going to do very well. And then um, and I
- 59:25Speaker 1: started telling him yeah, and I freestyle too, you know,
- 59:28Speaker 1: but I never it's never good. It's always really trash freestyle,
- 59:32Speaker 1: but like it makes the girl feel more comfortable freestyling
- 59:35Speaker 1: after to hear how much I bomb right And then
- 59:38Speaker 1: I remember I think it was Elon or Bill. They
- 59:40Speaker 1: were like, well, Viz, why don't you just freestyle right now?
- 59:43Speaker 1: And then I remember I just went off the riff
- 59:44Speaker 1: during my audition. I was like, I'm just gonna freestyle
- 59:46Speaker 1: and I dropped him on. I was like, I forgot
- 59:49Speaker 1: what I said. I wanted to say, uh, my boy,
- 59:52Speaker 1: a lawn has a hair like a Bishan because I
- 59:55Speaker 1: remember his hair was like all crazy and I was like, man,
- 59:57Speaker 1: this guy looks like such a character. And I feel
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: like ever since that day we kind of connected. And
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: I'm really glad that he invited me here because I
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: feel like we're have like more of a conversation. I've
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: had a lot of conversation with him offline, but you know,
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: this time you don't have it together. It was fantastic. Um.
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: I don't know what was the second question, why should
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: we want? I am a quarter so I really appreciated
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: you seeing being able to see that in me. Thank you.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: Alan's always Alan has always been lucky that he was
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: blessed with hair. He hasn't started losing it, and and
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: I'd say most of the population at his age start
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: to lose some hair, and his just continues to grow
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: age thirty nine down. Okay, the second part of this
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: question is why should we watch the show? I guess
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: I'll give it to both of you to answer. From
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: Alan's perspective and also from yours, Vince, Well, from my perspective,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: I feel like what makes this show so different, um,
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: is that it just feels so real because we're coming,
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: We're meeting these people from our past, and they're not
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: necessarily strangers. And I think most shows that we see nowadays,
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: you know, you're paired up with strangers in some type
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: of way. UM, And these these people, you already have
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: some history behind it and there's some context there. So
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: I feel like, you know, we're only filming for about
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: like five weeks, right, And I think a lot of
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: people they watched these shows and going, well, how can
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: you really fall in love in five weeks, and I
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: think this show is so special because there's our radio
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: connection there. So these these sparks that are kind of
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: like reignited, I feel like they really lend themselves to
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: a lot of emotional acceleration. So like like you've seen
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: you on the show and I end up, you know,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: opening my heart out, and I'm just like, I get
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: very committed. I fall in love on the show, and
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: I never thought that was possible. And I think because
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: I already had a connection to this person, it just
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: sped things up a lot fast. We already know, you know,
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: our hometowns are the same, like you know, we know
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: our our background with a the same school, that we're
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: able to have a really good starting point. And I
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: think that's what make to show so different. And it's
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: it's I think everyone kind of has that um that
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: feeling like, oh, there's maybe the one that got away
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: for them, and you know, everyone can kind of relate
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: to this premise and that's something that I always I
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: was hoping people would take away from it when they
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: watched it, you know, And it's great, you know, television
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: is very entertaining, but at the end of the day,
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: when you finish it, you would think, Okay, who's the
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: one that got away from me? And maybe I can
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: reach out to them and maybe use this show as
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: kind of like the reason for it. Hey, have you
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: seen that new show, the one that Got Away? On
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: Amazon Prime? It's like, oh my god. It kind of
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: reminded me of you remember when we you know, used
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: to be friends back in middle school or high school,
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: and you know that could spark a connection and be like, oh,
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: you know, maybe we should grab coffee sometime, And that
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: would give people a socially acceptable way to, you know,
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: reconnect with somebody, because you don't want to just cold
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: DM someone that you had a crush on ten years ago,
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: Like it's kind of creepy, right. So I did that.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: I did a podcast on it once. I called a
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: boy I hadn't talked to you in like six or
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: seven years, and I was like, hey, confession time, I
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: had a big crush on you. Did you know that?
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: And we did it all live on air. I have
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: never been so nervous, even of all the times I
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: was on the Bachelor, What what what happened? I missed
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: that once? It was back when I was obviously single.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: Um and he was like, yeah, I was like I
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: told him. I was like, Hey, we're just doing like
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: a little nostalgic thing. We're talking to people from like
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: college and grad school and stuff. So if you come
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: on and talk about like our time in grad school
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: and now he's actually one of the lead anchors on
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: Good Morning America Weekend. So Trevor Alt, you guys can
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: look him up. Yeah, he's a big deal. Um. And
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: I was so awkward and so nervous, and he was like, yeah,
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: I think I kind of knew that you to crush
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: on me. And I was like, well, I kind of
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: thought that you had like kind of maybe like a
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: little interest, And he was like, um, I don't know. Literally,
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: apparently I was like revisionist history, sir, revisionist history. We
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: had there was there was something there. Why did you
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: think there was something there? Do you remember was there
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: a moment? There was multiple moments to see, he had
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: a girlfriend. He had a girlfriend the entire time. He
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: ended up breaking up with his girlfriend. Um, literally a
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: matter of I think it was a week after grad school,
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: so like there was no move ever made because he
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: was living with his girlfriend, but you could tell like
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: they were on the rocks. He wasn't interested anymore. So,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: especially the last six months of school, it was like
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: summary flirty vibes. Um. We were having more like get
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: together as because we all knew there was a small group.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: It was a concentration of like forty people. So we
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: were just you know, we were just hanging out a lot,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: trying to suck up those last moments, and you could
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: just vibe it. But apparently he doesn't admit to it.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: Whatever everybody else saw it. We'd next to the computer,
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: we would be next to each other on the computer
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: and all that. Whatever. He's going to hear this now
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: and now that he's like, you know, a reporter for
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: good Morning America, it's probably gonna be a headline God,
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: good Morning America and almost famous colliding. You're just doing
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: crossovers left and right. One girl, one girl graduates Syracusan
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: went on the Bachelor, and then the other one became
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: a reporter for good Morning America, all in the ABC family,
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: all on this American life. Um. So I think that
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: just to say, so what I love, because I want
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: to answer Ben's question before he really left, is um
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: is there's a I think that people and I know
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: that you and your your husband are both interested in
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: the multiverse. Um, because you have to be because of
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: all the Marvel movies, and you can't escape them even
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: if you wanted to. And so I think that there's
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: the reason right now that people are so like fascinated
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: by the multiverse, which of course I am. To the
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: multiverse that is Marvel or all the dating shows, no
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: like no, no, the multiverse that is like the concept
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: of the multiverse, the idea that there are endless timelines
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: happening at once, and there's different views in different universes,
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: a million doctors strangers from here to there. Is is
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: that I think a lot of us really like being
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: able to visualize what our life would be like if
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: we had made different choices. Um. I think a lot
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: of us like to really think about how things would
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: be different. Like, as an example, if you and that
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: guy had made a move that night, right that would
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: have you wouldn't be here right now. I'm assuming if
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: you guys had fallen for each other, you wouldn't be
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: here right now. You'd be you might be somewhere else.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: You might be somewhere you like more, but you might
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: wouldn't be here. You wouldn't have Jared, There's no place
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: I'd rather be than here, except I could mute my
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: child if there was a button for that. And I
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: think that I think that you think about It's very
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: natural to think about regret and about wondering if you
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: could have done things better or done things differently. I
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: think we all think about that all the time. And
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: so the One that Got Away offers an opportunity, for
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: a very short time and a very limited time frame,
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: for just a few people to feel like, hey, what
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: if you could just start again at zero? What if
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: you know? The idea for for Vince and Vince had
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: people come in on our show, people come into a portal.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: And that's very intentional, right, like the portal exists. We're
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: a little we're a little sci fi too, trying to
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: play with time travel, trying to play with the ideas
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: of time not mattering, which I think is a really
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: interesting thing to think about. I think a lot of
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: us the last couple of years in the pandemic have
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: felt like time has stood still and we've had a
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: lot more time to think about things we could have done,
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: or want to do or should have done. Uh, And
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: all that kind of comes together in this place where
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: so all of a sudden Bins comes in and we
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: found people amazingly from his you know, from his high
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: school life and his college life and his law school
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: life and his adult life and and all of those
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: different places, and he gets to like restart as if
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: he's in high school. He gets to restart. You know,
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: his first date with Eureka Um was one where we
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: found a limo that looked just like the limo that
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: they took two prompt together and got to just go,
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: what if you got to do that night again? You
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: know that that kind of wish fulfillment, I think is
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: stuff that we all wish we could do, right, you
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: relive that first night, you know, I'm sure Ashley, you
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: think about your wedding all the time and think about
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: different different day, different ways that that could have on
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: and slightly you know, obviously it was perfect, but you
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: know what I mean, like perfect, and it was our
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: anniversaries in two days. Can you be lose in three years?
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: Three years? It's incredible three years that he officiated our wedding.
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: In the he needs to win an award, all time,
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: all time award, not just the Oscar for the Year,
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: but like the all time Oscar for doing the best
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: officiating at any wedding ever. Okay, sorry Alan to continue, Well,
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: just to say that that was the best wedding I've
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: ever been to. So I was just there as like
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: a guest, so that's how I saw it. But um,
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: all that to say, like, I think that's what the
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: One That Got Away does so well and does so differently,
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: And like again, like I love that there's a wide
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: variety of dating shows out there. I love the ones
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: that I like, I love the ones that I get
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: to work on, I love the ones that I don't.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: And I think that like the way I love Ninety
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: Day Fiance as a consumer is also the way that
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: I love One That Got Away as a consumer, which
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: is like it's just peering into other people's lives in
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: a way that makes me learn more about how people are,
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: which is always what I'm interested in. Like, you get
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: to watch people be people, and you know, I think
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: that's cool. Like Ashley, You've like just to say, like
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: you've lived, I think, in the last ten years or so,
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: an incredibly interesting life, incredibly like all kinds of ups
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: and downs and lefts and rights, and the fact that
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: like that could have gone on, and no one could
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: have ever known. Right, all of that could have happened
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: without a single camera around, without a single photograph, without
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: a single Instagram follower, all of that could have happened.
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: But instead we got to come along for the ride,
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: and I got to sit in my ass at home
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: and watch you and Jared go through this incredible, incredible
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: love story over three years essentially, and then get married
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: and then have a baby and all that. And so
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: it's this weird need for connection where like, I feel
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: like I know you and Jared really well, but I
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: also feel like there's millions of others that do too,
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: and I think that those are all genuine and interesting relationships.
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: I think people feel invested and committed and they learn lessons,
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: and I'm sure there's a lot of people who have
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: seen themselves as Ashley Eyes over the years that go like,
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: I'm gonna keep trying and I'm gonna whittle this man's
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: heart into the shape that I needed to be. Um.
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: I still get told every day when we go to Audrey's,
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: our coffee shop, every day, oh my god, you kept fighting,
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: you kept fighting. I can't believe you guys are together.
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: It's so wonderful to see you guys together, Like, I
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: love your story. It's it's insane. It's insane that it's
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: made a print on anyone. What but it doesn't. I
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: think that dating shows make a print on a lot
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: of people. And I think that, like, yes, there's a
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: lot of it, it's just entertainment. It really is a
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: lot of it's just for fun. A lot of it's
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: just goofy and wacky, and a lot of that is
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: also important. And I think that people I think that that,
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: you know, let's talk about the cast on these shows.
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: I think what they provide, right, more than what the
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: show provides, like what the people you know, Like you know,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: at the end of the day, you have been on
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: this radio show forever now, and you've been on a
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: lot of TV shows, and Vince was a lawyer and
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: is a lawyer, and just just like you, one day
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: decided to make that transition from having a life that's
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: all is just like you had a life that was
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: all yours, to opening it up to other people. And yes,
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: let's not pretend there isn't like there's always you want
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: to do it for you, but it's also it's also
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: really nice to be able to open that up for
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: other people, and your process of being understood more or
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: being listened to more also allows people at home to
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: feel that way, and I think that's really cool. I
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: think people underestimate how open you have to be as
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: a reality show dating contestant, especially, and I think they
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: also underestimate how much you guys are a part of
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: our lives and like a part of the culture that
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: surrounds us, for better, for worse, sometimes great, sometimes not great,
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: but at the end of the day, like a lot
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: of our examples of what modern romances come from these shows. Yeah, Vince,
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: I want you to preview your time on the show
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: in a second, But I have one last question for
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: a long that has to do with casting, because you
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: brought it up. What are the similarities between casting the
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: three dating shows that you've produced, and what are the differences, Like,
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: who were you looking for in each scenario? That's a
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: good that's a really good question. I think that I
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: think that in I'd say almost all shows that I've
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: ever worked on in any kind of casting have been
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: more or less the same in the kinds of people
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: that were looking for, with the exception of A Boy Island,
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: right Boy Island has a very different You're like, we're
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: specifically looking for f boys. That's the thing is that
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: like F Boy, F Boy Island is weirdly like the
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: one that got away. All the shows I was like
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: enough to work on the Bachelor franchise, all of those
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: are really about trying to find people who are open
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: and dynamic, who can express themselves emotionally. I know you
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: can do that. Actually events can do it too, um
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: different ways, but nonetheless um. People that are are are
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: open and willing and and have the ability to put
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: their feelings into words, which is just some people have
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: it more naturally than others, and you can learn it
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: for sure, And you can also learn to not do it,
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: which a lot of people do as they go through
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: their dating processes. They learn not to express those things,
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: and that's a different thing. F Boy Island is a
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: game show. At the end of the day, it's a
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: it's a competition, right and of course, as you know,
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: all dating shows are inherently somewhat competitive, are inherently competitions.
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: But there's something very very different about a show that
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: has a monetary prize at the end, because you can
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: legitimately do game play and game theory, and I think
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: that people, you know, I think that most of the
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: time on on dating shows, people are anxious to be themselves.
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: And I think f Boy Island is different because it
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: gives people on the opportunity to be themselves or be
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: someone else completely. And I think that that is what
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: creates that such interesting dynamic in that house, is that
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: half the people someone someone tweeted something the other day
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: that I thought was so smart, which was like half
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: of these people are on a dating show and half
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: of these people are on a Big Brother and it
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: was like, there's just different ways of playing the same game.
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: And weirdly, as you know, the feelings remain real because
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: there's enough people that actually, you know, as you know,
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: a lot of people go onto these shows not to
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: fall in love, and then they do. And I think
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: it's very, very very I think it's very common to
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: be skeptical, and I think that being skeptical is usually
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: the best way to be open because you actually talk
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: about your fears and you talk about your doubts, and
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: you talk about your concerns and your worries, and you're
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: less likely to paint over some of the red flags
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: you see if you're a little bit more skeptical, and
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: so I think that's a That's one thing that I've
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: always really looked to. Also, is that, like I want,
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: you know, vance I can ask you, because I like,
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: did you believe when you first signed up for this
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: that you were going to fall madly in love? Or
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: did you think it would be a fun experience? Yeah?
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: I mean absolutely just a fun experience. You know, I
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: thought the premise lended itself to probably the best chance
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: for me. But I thought, you know, I'm just gonna
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: go in open hearted, open minded and see what alone
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: has for me. Actually, I don't know, I don't do you.
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: I mean, I think maybe you're you're a different beast
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: though actually I don't know what you think. I was
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: actually gonna say, like, Vince, are you in agreeance with
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: me that it was mostly for like a once in
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: a lifetime fun opportunity, super open and wanting to find
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: a relationship, like want to leave this with a happily
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: ever after, but know that the odds are so so low. Yeah, absolutely, yeah.
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: I honestly like, looking back, I'm like, oh my gosh, Like,
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: how did I ended up you know, leaving engaged? Like
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: it just it blows my mind because I am going
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: into a spoiler alert. Oh my god, but I'm missing
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: that episodes out now? Yeah, so all episodes are out
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: now of the one that got away on Amazon Prime,
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: so I mean you can watch it on freeb also
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: for free now or not. That's so amazing, Thank you
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: so much. Okay, so you did just spoil your story.
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: There's lots of stories that will go unspoiled. How incredible
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: is that that you left engaged? Are you so happy?
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: And when you first just for the audience, like just
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: painting a little picture of like your can you paint
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: a little picture of your story since you know you
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: disspoiled yourself, Like maybe you start when you start the portal?
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: Right when when when you first met her? Yeah, the portal?
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: Was it who you wanted? So honestly, the girls that
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: came through me for the port for me, I had
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: no idea they were going to be there first of all,
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: like the whole casting process was crazy, but all of
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: them were surprised, but I was. Yeah, the girl that
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: I ended up leaving a show with, I remember the
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: first time I saw her. You can't even see in
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: the reaction in my eyes. I was just like, oh
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: my gosh, like it's been ten plus years, like the
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: fact that she even remembers me, and like it's willing
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: to put herself out there for me. It was just
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: like it blew my mind because we weren't really like
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: like super close or anything like we were just kind
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: of acquaintances. She went to problem with when my good friends,
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: and you know, I never really thought like, oh, you know,
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: you know, I thought she was cute. I never thought like,
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: you know, there was a misstop between necessarily until she came.
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: And it was like once I got to know her,
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: I was like, oh my gosh, like this girl is
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: It's so sweet, like like basically my type. And I
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: was like, I was like, man, along there, I was like,
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: you guys like set this up so perfectly because she
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: was exactly I feel like what I wanted. And as
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: time progress, you just see our bond like we were
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: both like water signs. I'm a Pisces, she's a cancer,
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: I'm a pieces and Jared's a Scorpio. And don't even
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: get this, don't even get me started, because there's a
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: classic in my book line in Paradise in which I
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: said I have a Pisces female and he's a Scorpio male,
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: and that is like one of the best combinations in
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: the zodiac. It is. And I literally remember after the show,
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: we were like looking up our astrologicals because we are
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: so very much both water signs, and you can see
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: it on the show, like our emotions were just pouring
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: out to each other and we were just very like
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: sensitive and empathetic towards each other. And you know, I
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: feel like you can see that difference, like and all
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: the other girls that kind of came for me, like
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: you can sit like just feel that there's a sense
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: of closes between me and Eureka, and yeah, that that
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: for me, Oh my gosh, like it's changed my life.
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: And you know, after the show, it was you know,
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: I remember like we had to make an announcement, you know, like, oh,
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: are we guys still together? And I don't know if
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: I should just spoil it, but you can see it
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: on my Instagram and we give a whole update that
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: we're speaking to the hardcore fans right now. It felt
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: so real. Every step of the way was so genuine.
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: We weren't on this show looking for like, you know,
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: cloud or anything like that. We genuinely, you know, I
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: was a lawyer already having a job. Like she came in.
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: She works, you know, for a big company doing it
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: as a consultant. So we genuinely just wanted this to work.
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: And that was like my biggest takeaway from the show
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: was her. And you know, I feel like right now
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: we still keep in touch. I was. I just saw
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: her last week. She came down um from New York,
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: and it's just there's just this bond that you have,
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: you know, when you meet someone on show and like
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: you tell me, let me feel this way too. Actually,
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: it's like you just have this like level of closeness
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: that you can't really share with anybody else. Right's almost
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: like a fraternity or like you know, if you like
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: leave like a military, like the military, you were in
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: battle together. There there's like that like sense of closest bonds,
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: you know. That's how I know I know it. I
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: went to on a trip with this podcast to Tahoe
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: and we hung out with a couple of people from
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: the Bachelor franchise and their friends that I don't get
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: to see like on a very regular basis, But when
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: we get together, it's like no time has passed. We
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: were so comfortable together because that shared experience. I can
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: go on and on and on, but I feel like
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: we should just have everybody who's listening watch your story.
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: So it's the one that got away on Prime Video
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: can stream it all now. I'm so happy for you.
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: I have so many more questions for a long when
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: it comes to reality dating. So perhaps we can have
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: you on again. Um and Vince, congratulations on the engagement.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: That's so awesome. Than you, Ashley, have your family for me,
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: all of them. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: will all right. Thank you for running us. See ya,
