- 0:04Speaker 1: Welcome back to Artists on Artists on Artists on artists.
- 0:06Speaker 1: This week one of the most monumental moments in Hollywood
- 0:11Speaker 1: history the beginning of or the quick abatement of two
- 0:17Speaker 1: unions striking at the same time. That's right, sag Aftra
- 0:23Speaker 1: might be going on strike.
- 0:26Speaker 2: As of today. It's currently two forty five Eastern time
- 0:31Speaker 2: on July twelfth, twenty twenty three. What happens in the
- 0:34Speaker 2: next eight hours will determine the course of human.
- 0:37Speaker 3: History and determine the course for acting as an art
- 0:43Speaker 3: We sit down with four monumentous actors to discuss the
- 0:46Speaker 3: potential of a strike and what they're going to do
- 0:49Speaker 3: to make the most of this time, as only actors would.
- 0:54Speaker 4: So get at those picket signs and take out your
- 0:56Speaker 4: SAG cards and listen in.
- 1:00Speaker 1: How are you just feeling Is the energy feeling good?
- 1:02Speaker 1: Are you just feeling good?
- 1:04Speaker 3: Yeah? No, I feel good. I feel really good. I
- 1:07Speaker 3: feel great, and I feel really excited about this.
- 1:09Speaker 1: I feel good.
- 1:10Speaker 2: I'm fired up as all hell and I'm not gonna
- 1:14Speaker 2: take any more.
- 1:16Speaker 1: I am stoked. I am stoked. I am stoked. I'm stoked.
- 1:19Speaker 1: I literally feel like there are ants in my feet
- 1:23Speaker 1: dragging me to fight for what I need.
- 1:26Speaker 4: I think it's the saying. I think the saying is
- 1:29Speaker 4: answer my pants.
- 1:30Speaker 3: No.
- 1:30Speaker 1: But but for me because I process things differently, because
- 1:33Speaker 1: I went to a conservatory. So for me, I feel
- 1:35Speaker 1: like I have ants in my feet. I just can
- 1:38Speaker 1: specifically I did Suzuki. I don't know if you guys
- 1:40Speaker 1: it's Zuki. I can specifically feel it's good. It's good,
- 1:43Speaker 1: it's good, it's really good.
- 1:44Speaker 3: I love Slotki. Siziki is one of my favorite systems
- 1:47Speaker 3: in the world.
- 1:47Speaker 5: He said.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Czeki said, Zeki is it's a white Greek sauce.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe to you guys, but that's actually I studied
- 1:56Speaker 3: Saziki method and it was extremely monumental for my Oh yeah,
- 1:59Speaker 3: what was it?
- 1:59Speaker 2: Is?
- 1:59Speaker 1: The method?
- 2:00Speaker 3: The Zeki method is a great method where you kind
- 2:03Speaker 3: of start, you know, outside in, inside out. Since zz
- 2:06Speaker 3: method you start up to down, You start with the
- 2:08Speaker 3: top of your head and work the character all the
- 2:10Speaker 3: way through you. It's was created by Greco Taziki. He's
- 2:15Speaker 3: a Greek amazing actor from the two thousands and he
- 2:20Speaker 3: from twenty years ago, from twenty years ago, and he
- 2:23Speaker 3: was very monumental in my career. So yeah, I do
- 2:26Speaker 3: the Tatsiki method.
- 2:28Speaker 2: I the Suzuki method. What is that famous baseball player
- 2:33Speaker 2: of ten years ago, Ichi Rose Suzuki for the national
- 2:37Speaker 2: the Seattle Maritors. I've trained in professional baseball for many,
- 2:42Speaker 2: many years, and it taught me more about acting than
- 2:45Speaker 2: anything else.
- 2:47Speaker 3: You are fired off. I've fired up.
- 2:50Speaker 2: These fists have been read in a punch for forty years,
- 2:54Speaker 2: and now I finally get the chance for a battle.
- 2:57Speaker 3: Royale I shirt.
- 3:00Speaker 1: I need to go get my shirt. I'm gonna get
- 3:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna go get my shirt.
- 3:03Speaker 2: You get your shirt. Tonight we rest, Tomorrow we punch.
- 3:09Speaker 5: Oh you you He went.
- 3:11Speaker 2: To get his shirt?
- 3:12Speaker 3: Oh, he really went.
- 3:14Speaker 2: He's gone. He's gone for sure.
- 3:17Speaker 4: I'll talk about my snooky snoo Zuki method.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Oh, the Snoonookie method.
- 3:26Speaker 5: It's Ananki method.
- 3:28Speaker 4: It's it's the intersection between snooky and snoopy.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Oh how did those two things go together?
- 3:37Speaker 5: I'll just leave that there. Did you find your shirt?
- 3:39Speaker 1: No, I'm still looking for my shirt.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Oh my god, he keeps leaving.
- 3:45Speaker 5: Oh my god. Climbing looks like he's hanging off his side.
- 3:52Speaker 2: He's playing with his little feet sis on the top
- 3:55Speaker 2: of his bunk bed. Get back here. We need to fight.
- 4:01Speaker 3: He can't hear us. He's plugged in.
- 4:04Speaker 5: We need to fight.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Wow, this is taking a long time.
- 4:09Speaker 2: This is taking a very long time.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Okay. I think, don't worry about your shirt. I think,
- 4:14Speaker 3: don't worry.
- 4:14Speaker 1: No, I'm looking for my shirt. I think maybe I
- 4:16Speaker 1: was wearing it earlier. I gotta find my shirt.
- 4:19Speaker 2: I mean, it's just so boy, come back here.
- 4:23Speaker 3: What yeah?
- 4:24Speaker 2: Yeah, shirt look like maybe we could see it in
- 4:27Speaker 2: your video.
- 4:28Speaker 3: So so so the shirt.
- 4:29Speaker 1: The shirt says Sag stands with Sag, and it's it's
- 4:33Speaker 1: a union shirt and it's gonna be really important because
- 4:36Speaker 1: if you're on the.
- 4:36Speaker 5: Sad says, Sag stands with Sag.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's it's a shirt that I bought online.
- 4:42Speaker 1: I bought it on Etsy. Uh, somebody's actually been selling
- 4:45Speaker 1: it for years, which is kind of creepy because I'm
- 4:47Speaker 1: wondering where it came from. But it's it's an important shirt,
- 4:50Speaker 1: and I think I was really excited to be wearing
- 4:53Speaker 1: that shirt today just to kind of show solidarity. I
- 4:56Speaker 1: really annoyed that I couldn't find my shirt. It's got
- 4:59Speaker 1: to be here somewhere. I'm so sorry, guys.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Well, what's your name, buddy?
- 5:03Speaker 1: Oh, I'm so sorry. My name is Skip. I'm Skipping,
- 5:08Speaker 1: Skipe Wantrell. I am the lead of the new sitcom Skip.
- 5:14Speaker 1: I'm a stand up comedian and i just got my
- 5:17Speaker 1: own multi cam show. I'm so stoked. It just got
- 5:21Speaker 1: greenlit a month ago and I'm fucking excited.
- 5:26Speaker 5: It's did you guys film the pilot?
- 5:27Speaker 1: And we filmed the pilot. Yeah, a Whoopy Goldberg plays
- 5:31Speaker 1: my godmother and just normal godmother, not fairy godmother or anything,
- 5:36Speaker 1: but is half the jokes and then.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Uh and then.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, of course. My dad is being played by
- 5:45Speaker 1: Ed Begley Jr. And my girlfriend is being played by
- 5:51Speaker 1: Leyton Measter and it's been so fun.
- 5:54Speaker 4: Wait, I think I saw the trailer. They're already trailering
- 5:57Speaker 4: it out. I saw the promo, like, Whoopy Goldberg comes out.
- 6:00Speaker 4: It's a Halloween episode. She's dressed as a fairy and
- 6:03Speaker 4: she's like, I know what you're thinking, I'm just his godmother.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Right, And it actually every episode of a Halloween episode
- 6:10Speaker 1: takes place in a Halloween store. And it's that's kind
- 6:13Speaker 1: of the joke because when I so kind of part
- 6:15Speaker 1: of my story, which is I say in all my
- 6:17Speaker 1: generals is for about three months of my life, I
- 6:19Speaker 1: worked at a Halloween store in high school. And I've
- 6:21Speaker 1: really centered it as part of my narrative and it's
- 6:24Speaker 1: been really fun to build into that. But man, oh man,
- 6:29Speaker 1: if I could talk about this strike wearing that shirt
- 6:31Speaker 1: that I had, it would really really change. You know, God,
- 6:36Speaker 1: I wish I had my shirt I got. I wish
- 6:38Speaker 1: I had it, you know what I mean, Because I'm
- 6:40Speaker 1: really excited about it. I'm really pumped. Did I miss
- 6:43Speaker 1: your intros?
- 6:44Speaker 3: Not at all?
- 6:45Speaker 2: Oh, waiting for you to find your damn shirt? Yeh,
- 6:49Speaker 2: We've got a good fighting I'm sorry. I've got a
- 6:53Speaker 2: maximum of five to eight years left in me, and
- 6:57Speaker 2: by god, if we don't change this industry now, I'm
- 7:01Speaker 2: gonna be freaking pissed off in my grave. I tell
- 7:04Speaker 2: you that.
- 7:06Speaker 4: Besides this, I don't know your name. We were just.
- 7:10Speaker 3: She's an icon.
- 7:13Speaker 5: Sorry icon. I'm sorry.
- 7:15Speaker 2: I am Doris.
- 7:17Speaker 5: I'm I'm like, I'm like an old soul.
- 7:22Speaker 2: I am not well. Yes, I am on the internet.
- 7:26Speaker 2: I post tiktoks in the silly Grandma. Right, you're not well?
- 7:31Speaker 2: I am.
- 7:32Speaker 5: I'm sorry.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Part of my thing. But I've also been an actor.
- 7:38Speaker 2: I've been a co star in nearly every network sitcom
- 7:42Speaker 2: since the beginning of time. I've every receptionist, I've played
- 7:47Speaker 2: every janitor. I've played every teacher and hospital attendant. And
- 7:53Speaker 2: this industry used to be a place for a place
- 7:56Speaker 2: for bit, for people like us.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Wo and now it's not. Dolores. It's incredible. It's incredible
- 8:03Speaker 1: that you're doing this fight with us, because you're just
- 8:06Speaker 1: a legend, and to have you out there fighting. I
- 8:09Speaker 1: heard you've actually been in a lot of the negotiating
- 8:11Speaker 1: meetings and I actually heard gossip wise, you're the reason
- 8:15Speaker 1: they're taking so long.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Well, yes, because nobody seems to want to everyone is
- 8:22Speaker 2: so okay. I hate to break this out, but we've
- 8:25Speaker 2: gone soft. We've got soft as a nation because every time.
- 8:29Speaker 3: You were gonna get to that, you were gonna get
- 8:31Speaker 3: to that.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Oh okay, it's a well it's a woman of my age,
- 8:35Speaker 2: and I feel we've gone soft as a nation. Stereotype
- 8:39Speaker 2: stereotype boooo. Every time the AMPTP says something in one
- 8:44Speaker 2: of those meetings, oh, I wind up my fisticuffs, it
- 8:47Speaker 2: makes me so pissed off. Then they put me on
- 8:50Speaker 2: time out for a little while and then we go
- 8:51Speaker 2: back to the table, so it takes a minute. I'll
- 8:54Speaker 2: be honest, and I wish I could tell you what's
- 8:56Speaker 2: going on in there about the content of the discussions,
- 8:58Speaker 2: because oh, you'd beat che eased off too. Just know
- 9:02Speaker 2: I'm biting.
- 9:04Speaker 5: Off.
- 9:05Speaker 2: You'd be cheesed off. You'd be you'd be pissing your ankles,
- 9:10Speaker 2: you'd be you'd be flaming your elbows, you'd be so angry.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Well, I I also saw that picture where they had
- 9:16Speaker 1: you handcuffed to Pedro Pascal so he could keep you settled.
- 9:21Speaker 2: He was responsible for every buff man in this industry
- 9:25Speaker 2: takes a shift where they're assigned to me to keep
- 9:29Speaker 2: me from causing physical harm. Because while I may be
- 9:33Speaker 2: weak and feeble, my fists go faster than a goddamn
- 9:37Speaker 2: road runner and they know that.
- 9:41Speaker 5: Yeah, your fists, they they move like like legs.
- 9:45Speaker 2: I wish you guys could see it on those people
- 9:48Speaker 2: listening to the podcast. I'm like a praying man, tis
- 9:51Speaker 2: Muhammad Ali, and I'm gonna get these producers for all
- 9:56Speaker 2: they're worth, or I'm gonna get me. They're gray, who's hugry.
- 10:03Speaker 3: WHOA, Who's hungry?
- 10:04Speaker 1: That was good shirt. I wish I had that shirt.
- 10:07Speaker 1: I wish I had my other shirt. Who else is here?
- 10:12Speaker 3: Hi guys. My name is Noel Finkerton. I am a
- 10:17Speaker 3: series regular on the new Apple Plus show Just About Eggs.
- 10:23Speaker 3: It's a great show about bakery and I yes, and
- 10:29Speaker 3: now we are on strike, or we might go on strike.
- 10:33Speaker 3: So we've had two seasons of Just About the Eggs
- 10:36Speaker 3: and it's going really well for me. But you know,
- 10:38Speaker 3: there have been some discrepancies. As a series record. I've
- 10:41Speaker 3: been paid two hundred and fifty dollars episode and that
- 10:46Speaker 3: feels a little low, but you know, we're about to
- 10:49Speaker 3: go on strike.
- 10:50Speaker 2: WHOA, that's so frigging low. You should be pissed off.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:54Speaker 3: You know, if they're nice, they're really nice. They're nice
- 10:56Speaker 3: to me on set. You know, I get all the
- 10:58Speaker 3: free food I want. I mean, I have to pay
- 11:00Speaker 3: a subscription to get to be able to have the
- 11:04Speaker 3: food on set. But other than that, it's been so
- 11:07Speaker 3: nice working on set, you know, and I really like
- 11:10Speaker 3: working on set.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Dude, dude, dude, dude, listen, man, this is the kind
- 11:13Speaker 1: of stuff we're fighting for, Like I want, I want
- 11:15Speaker 1: you to know. And I know Dolores can speak to
- 11:17Speaker 1: this as well. I want you to know, Doris. I'm
- 11:22Speaker 1: so sorry. Please don't punch me, okay please.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Oh I would never punch another actor.
- 11:28Speaker 3: My god, my god, I would go good. Well, I'm
- 11:32Speaker 3: just say sorry.
- 11:33Speaker 2: I haven't seen that egg show, but it sounds pretty good.
- 11:38Speaker 3: You got nominated for a lot of em right, It
- 11:40Speaker 3: is very funny. We are nominated for a lot of
- 11:43Speaker 3: any Emmys.
- 11:44Speaker 2: They paid you two hundred dollars.
- 11:46Speaker 3: They paid me two hundred and fifty dollars. It's actually
- 11:49Speaker 3: what it is. It's a spin off of Coach Ted
- 11:52Speaker 3: Lasso spin off, Yeah, Coach Ted. Coach I think.
- 11:57Speaker 1: It's called Ted Lasso. I don't think it's called Coach Ted.
- 12:00Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure it's called Coach Ted.
- 12:03Speaker 4: That's just simply not the name of the show. There's
- 12:05Speaker 4: Ted Lasso. Is there another show called coach something that
- 12:08Speaker 4: you're thinking.
- 12:09Speaker 1: There's a show just called coach which is from the
- 12:11Speaker 1: nineties with Corregtie Nelson.
- 12:13Speaker 3: No, there's a show called Coach Ted about Jason Sedakis
- 12:16Speaker 3: plays a coach for a soccer team in England. So
- 12:20Speaker 3: it's called a football.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Team and so basically no, no, no, no, but bro, bro, listen,
- 12:26Speaker 1: listen like you that show just about the Eggs is
- 12:30Speaker 1: being disrespected, like it's in the industry everyone. I didn't
- 12:34Speaker 1: take a role on it. The role ended up going
- 12:39Speaker 1: I think it went to Andre Brower. And I read
- 12:42Speaker 1: that Andre Brower was paid college credit for that show.
- 12:46Speaker 3: Why Yeah, yeah, he did it for college credit. But
- 12:49Speaker 3: that's you know, it's kind of fair because he's really
- 12:50Speaker 3: trying to graduate. He's he's really and he needs internship credit.
- 12:56Speaker 3: He needs credit. He's like thirty six credits away from graduating.
- 13:00Speaker 5: He's so trying.
- 13:01Speaker 3: I think it actually really helped him. But I you know,
- 13:03Speaker 3: I'm not trying to defend it. I'm not trying to
- 13:04Speaker 3: defend it at all. Obviously, like we need to go
- 13:06Speaker 3: on strike, and there are some major things. I just
- 13:08Speaker 3: want to say. I really like that show. It's a
- 13:11Speaker 3: great spin off. The bartender in Coach ted Lasso decides
- 13:15Speaker 3: that she wants to open up a bakery in Sacramento.
- 13:19Speaker 3: But she's not in the show. It's just understood that
- 13:21Speaker 3: she bought the land and opened up the bakery and
- 13:23Speaker 3: these are your step work there. Yeah, it's really fun
- 13:26Speaker 3: and it's really funny.
- 13:27Speaker 1: And it's and the bakery is just about the eggs.
- 13:30Speaker 3: It's the bakery is called just about the eggs because
- 13:32Speaker 3: people don't know when you bake. They think it's all
- 13:35Speaker 3: about the bread. But our bakery is just about the eggs.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Are bread in the show or selling eggs?
- 13:42Speaker 3: No? No, no, we sell egg products primarily, but we
- 13:45Speaker 3: call it.
- 13:46Speaker 2: That's not a bakery. Oh my god, everything is upside down?
- 13:49Speaker 1: Can I can I make a wild guest?
- 13:52Speaker 2: Uh?
- 13:52Speaker 3: Huh?
- 13:52Speaker 1: Does the show owner of your show live on Melrose?
- 13:55Speaker 2: Yes?
- 13:56Speaker 3: They live on Yeah. So why do you guess? Is
- 13:59Speaker 3: it because of all about the bread? That's all about
- 14:02Speaker 3: the bread? And you're saying they got the name of
- 14:04Speaker 3: all about the Bread from and they ripped it and
- 14:06Speaker 3: turned it just about the eggs.
- 14:07Speaker 1: This is that's my guest. The store, the rest are
- 14:10Speaker 1: all about that bread, all about the bread. I'm wondering
- 14:13Speaker 1: if he walked by it and he saw it and
- 14:15Speaker 1: he said, I want to name a show just about
- 14:16Speaker 1: the eggs.
- 14:18Speaker 3: I think he might have, but I think you might
- 14:20Speaker 3: be wrong. I think he actually got it from his childhood.
- 14:23Speaker 3: His mom used to make a bunch of things with
- 14:25Speaker 3: just about the eggs. Well, at least that's what the
- 14:27Speaker 3: mom does in They Care in the in the show, Can.
- 14:29Speaker 1: I make a guest? Did his mom grow up on Melrose?
- 14:32Speaker 3: His mom did grow up on Melows. Yes, his mom
- 14:35Speaker 3: grew up on Melro.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Everybody grew up on Melrose Boulevard, right next to all
- 14:41Speaker 2: the stores where people wait in line for shoes and sneakers.
- 14:46Speaker 1: And Swedish candy.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Has changed.
- 14:51Speaker 4: Okay, guys, hey guys, what is up? My name is
- 14:56Speaker 4: Anna Fish. I am also grew up around here. I
- 15:01Speaker 4: was in I was in Thirteen Reasons Why. I was
- 15:05Speaker 4: also in the Quibi pickup of that fourteen Reasons Why
- 15:10Speaker 4: haven't worked since so sad.
- 15:12Speaker 3: I was so excited to see the fourteenth reason and
- 15:15Speaker 3: also the camera turned vertical and horizontal at the same time.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:19Speaker 4: No, when Quibi did the fourteenth Reason why, it was
- 15:22Speaker 4: when the camera turned there was a fourteenth reason that
- 15:25Speaker 4: I mean you can watch it. I mean I believe
- 15:28Speaker 4: that someone recorded the Quibi version and put it on YouTube,
- 15:31Speaker 4: So I do believe you could see it on YouTube.
- 15:34Speaker 2: Now I'm really quickly because I did watch this show
- 15:37Speaker 2: with my granddaughter. What is the fourteenth reason?
- 15:42Speaker 5: Climate change? Anyway?
- 15:43Speaker 2: So I'll say that balad reason valid reason to do
- 15:46Speaker 2: what she did.
- 15:48Speaker 4: Anyway, I have been striking with my fellow writers for
- 15:56Speaker 4: thirteen reasons why, just standing in solidary for them, and
- 15:58Speaker 4: now unfortunately it looks like it's probably going to be
- 16:01Speaker 4: affecting us, So then I'll be standing with us. And
- 16:05Speaker 4: I've been leading with my friends, some of my gal pals.
- 16:08Speaker 4: I've been leading strike for singles. We've been doing the
- 16:13Speaker 4: meetups for all of If you've been seeing on the twitters,
- 16:18Speaker 4: we've been getting some of the singles meeting up and
- 16:21Speaker 4: seeing if we can turn this awful, awful time for our.
- 16:25Speaker 5: Industry into a moment to find love.
- 16:28Speaker 4: So, if you've been seeing on some of the signs,
- 16:30Speaker 4: we've been putting some signals if.
- 16:33Speaker 5: You are single and looking for love, we've been.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Okay, I'm so sorry, miss Fish. I have a bone
- 16:39Speaker 2: to pack with you, because I've been on the WGA
- 16:42Speaker 2: picket lines as well, and there was a there was
- 16:45Speaker 2: a day on the Paramount lot what we were trying
- 16:48Speaker 2: to start marching. But then I believe you must have
- 16:51Speaker 2: been orchestrating. All these groups of people were making out
- 16:54Speaker 2: and we had to shove them out of the way
- 16:57Speaker 2: to get to the front. Yeah, I could see J
- 17:00Speaker 2: fun to talk and it was just clouds of people
- 17:03Speaker 2: just going to town on each other.
- 17:05Speaker 5: Oh yeah, well listen, it happened.
- 17:08Speaker 4: When people we were We're make love not war, is
- 17:13Speaker 4: what I'll say to that make love not scripts right
- 17:18Speaker 4: now is.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Probably gonna go get his T shirt that says that.
- 17:22Speaker 1: I think my assistant took my T shirts to the
- 17:27Speaker 1: dry cleaning and I think I think that's what's going
- 17:29Speaker 1: on because I texted her and she's not texting back,
- 17:31Speaker 1: but I think I have that shirt. I can't stop
- 17:35Speaker 1: thinking about it.
- 17:36Speaker 4: It's okay, Skip, I mean I do think, I do
- 17:38Speaker 4: think like the T shirts, the signs. So much of
- 17:41Speaker 4: this is like you want to be a part of it, right,
- 17:44Speaker 4: Like I like, like I want to wear my shirt,
- 17:47Speaker 4: especially because I want to look good and I want
- 17:49Speaker 4: to meet people, and I think there's a part of
- 17:51Speaker 4: networking on these picket lines, right And Skip, it's okay
- 17:54Speaker 4: not to have your shirt, like.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Yeah, But for me as an actor, it's all about
- 17:57Speaker 1: the costume, right, Like, I really can only feel the
- 17:59Speaker 1: character from wearing the costumes. So I feel like I'm
- 18:01Speaker 1: not on strike if I'm not wearing the shirt and
- 18:03Speaker 1: that's what's hard for me, and it's just really hard
- 18:05Speaker 1: for me.
- 18:06Speaker 5: Well, I feel that way.
- 18:07Speaker 4: I feel that way when I'm not like being my
- 18:09Speaker 4: best self because I feel like, like, to address what
- 18:12Speaker 4: you said, Doris, I I think if we're not using
- 18:16Speaker 4: this picket line to show up as humans, Like, sure,
- 18:19Speaker 4: we're using this to show up as fighters, to show
- 18:23Speaker 4: to show up, but if we're also not using this
- 18:25Speaker 4: to show up as humans and also address other human needs,
- 18:28Speaker 4: which is love, which is just like basic human needs,
- 18:32Speaker 4: which is connection, then what are we doing there?
- 18:35Speaker 1: I also want to say, though, for the sake of representation,
- 18:37Speaker 1: that I went to an asexual WGA picket line, the
- 18:42Speaker 1: most efficient picket line I've ever been at, so much.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Done, they walk so fast, so much.
- 18:53Speaker 5: Well, Skip, that's for you, Skip, that's for you.
- 18:56Speaker 1: And it was for me. It was awesome.
- 18:58Speaker 3: Yeah, And I'll just.
- 18:59Speaker 4: Say that's not for me, Skip, And that's not for
- 19:01Speaker 4: the cast and writers of Thirteen Reasons Why.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Okay, Okay, I'm kind of remembering what the cast of
- 19:07Speaker 2: that show looks like. You guys are all kind of
- 19:10Speaker 2: hooking up with each other, right.
- 19:11Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, Doris, we sucking fuck wha.
- 19:17Speaker 3: Would you would you believe on Coach? Would you believe
- 19:20Speaker 3: on Coach? Ted Lasso spinoff? Just about the eggs? We
- 19:22Speaker 3: also suck and fuck.
- 19:24Speaker 6: I don't believe a lot and uh unless you're unless
- 19:33Speaker 6: you're the complete outlier of the rest of the cast,
- 19:36Speaker 6: I don't believe that.
- 19:37Speaker 1: But if you're like the rest of the cast, I
- 19:40Speaker 1: don't believe it.
- 19:40Speaker 3: Okay, crazy the animosity that came. I felt like you
- 19:44Speaker 3: guys took all the anger that you have at the
- 19:46Speaker 3: producers and directed it at me. And all I wanted
- 19:48Speaker 3: to say was like, I feel like I will say
- 19:51Speaker 3: that I'm a little happy that actors are gonna maybe
- 19:53Speaker 3: join the picket lines, because for me, picketing with the
- 19:56Speaker 3: writers was really tough. I showed up like trying to help,
- 19:59Speaker 3: and I just had some ideas of like, why don't
- 20:02Speaker 3: I pass out my headshot and just give it a
- 20:05Speaker 3: microchip of my reel, Like, just pass out a thumb
- 20:08Speaker 3: drive of my I put it on micro chip.
- 20:12Speaker 1: You are the one of the syringe walking around.
- 20:14Speaker 3: Yeah, So so the idea is I give you my
- 20:17Speaker 3: headshot and then if you want, I can give you
- 20:19Speaker 3: a little prick and microchip you with my reel and
- 20:21Speaker 3: then later you can you can put your thumb on
- 20:24Speaker 3: the hot key of your of your computer that turns
- 20:28Speaker 3: it on and my reel will pop up. You just
- 20:30Speaker 3: will do that, and I feel like the writers hated it.
- 20:33Speaker 2: I can learn a new trick. Put it in my arm.
- 20:36Speaker 3: You want do you want it? Yeah?
- 20:37Speaker 5: Don't do that to dous So she only has so
- 20:39Speaker 5: many working veins.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Don't I want to see I want to see what
- 20:44Speaker 2: you see?
- 20:44Speaker 3: Yeah? Okay, well okay, so this, well it depends which
- 20:47Speaker 3: one do you want? Do you want my drama reel
- 20:49Speaker 3: twenty twenty two or my comedy reel twenty one?
- 20:53Speaker 5: Comedy reel?
- 20:54Speaker 1: He hasn't updated it real, but his drama reel is
- 20:56Speaker 1: all is all eating disorder stuff, So it's really heavy.
- 21:00Speaker 3: Get what am I supposed to do?
- 21:02Speaker 2: Do you have any anything commercial?
- 21:05Speaker 3: Uh? You don't really make a commercial reel. They don't
- 21:07Speaker 3: really like that. I've got a voiceover reel. Yeah, do
- 21:09Speaker 3: you want to date doors? It's it's from my voiceover
- 21:12Speaker 3: class in twenty sixteen to.
- 21:14Speaker 1: It dor Doors, Doors, Doors.
- 21:17Speaker 3: Before we do this, I want to be clear.
- 21:19Speaker 1: You know his voice is gonna be implanted in your
- 21:21Speaker 1: body forever. I want to be clear that you know
- 21:24Speaker 1: that I'm ready.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Okay, I got five good years left. Put the weird
- 21:29Speaker 2: breaka shit in my body. I don't give a shit.
- 21:32Speaker 3: So this is a Gavin de Gras voiceover class I
- 21:35Speaker 3: took in twenty sixteen. It's yeah, he he got out
- 21:38Speaker 3: of music and got into voiceover. You should see his commercials. So, okay,
- 21:43Speaker 3: here we go. It's just a an.
- 21:47Speaker 2: My god, that was more than a prick. That was
- 21:50Speaker 2: more than a prick. With Farmers Insurance, you and your
- 21:53Speaker 2: family could be safe forever. Oh I hated that.
- 21:57Speaker 5: That's your voice.
- 21:58Speaker 3: No, yeah, that's my voice. It's my voice. Well that's
- 22:01Speaker 3: the thing with the voiceover reheel. My voice gets transmuted
- 22:04Speaker 3: through whoever has the chip, so it'll come out every
- 22:08Speaker 3: once in a while. Wait, can I get it?
- 22:09Speaker 5: Give it to me, give it to me.
- 22:11Speaker 3: Well, do you want my voice over? I don't think
- 22:13Speaker 3: you want to.
- 22:14Speaker 5: I wanted to give it to me.
- 22:15Speaker 1: This is.
- 22:18Speaker 3: I've never given out any of these. This is me.
- 22:22Speaker 3: Oh green alien, Green Alien. So that was I was
- 22:28Speaker 3: doing a I was doing it animated. That's like an
- 22:30Speaker 3: animation reference right there. I was working on my animated voices.
- 22:35Speaker 3: So wow, thanks guys, thanks so much. So yeah, I
- 22:40Speaker 3: feel like actors are so much more responsive than writers
- 22:43Speaker 3: to kind of the things that actors do. You know, you.
- 22:46Speaker 4: Handing those around makes me feel better. I got in
- 22:49Speaker 4: so much trouble when I was doing a single mixer
- 22:52Speaker 4: outside of Netflix and I was handing around glasses of
- 22:55Speaker 4: wine of natural wine, and people were really mad at me.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Natural line is gross and it doesn't. Yeah.
- 23:04Speaker 5: People were like, well the real exactly, so disrespectful upsode
- 23:07Speaker 5: exactly exactly.
- 23:09Speaker 4: Everyone was like, we're picketing, we need the real stuff,
- 23:12Speaker 4: and I was like, but natural wine really opens you up,
- 23:15Speaker 4: and we're trying to meet people.
- 23:16Speaker 2: Well, I'm surprised because you were you were doing a
- 23:19Speaker 2: singles mixer outside of Netflix. Did they try and turn
- 23:23Speaker 2: that into a dating show? Because I bet they would
- 23:25Speaker 2: be all over that.
- 23:26Speaker 3: Oh I did hear that. The producers actually from their
- 23:29Speaker 3: high windows saw what was going on and came down
- 23:31Speaker 3: and lightly asked if you could come and pitch it
- 23:34Speaker 3: for at Yeah.
- 23:34Speaker 4: No, but it was the day the Imagine dragons were there,
- 23:36Speaker 4: so it was a sound nightmare.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, that's what I will say. I won't
- 23:40Speaker 1: pick it in front of Netflix anymore because I heard
- 23:42Speaker 1: that anything caught on their cameras they can potentially use
- 23:46Speaker 1: as material, so they have a lot of close caption
- 23:49Speaker 1: cameras up there.
- 23:50Speaker 4: Just really it's it's there's just been a lot of
- 23:52Speaker 4: struggle there because it's just been it's just been really
- 23:56Speaker 4: hard because I've just been getting a lot of like
- 23:59Speaker 4: backlash for not being focused as someone who's just trying.
- 24:03Speaker 4: I'm trying to meet the love of my life. Guys, Okay,
- 24:06Speaker 4: and let's.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Talk about what we're really doing here, right, because that's
- 24:08Speaker 1: not what we're supposed to be doing. The things we're
- 24:10Speaker 1: talking about. While we're talking about why yeah, we're talking
- 24:12Speaker 1: about residuals on streaming, right, we're talking about making sure
- 24:15Speaker 1: that AI doesn't take our jobs because if we go
- 24:18Speaker 1: on something and they have our likeness, they can make
- 24:21Speaker 1: a three D image of it and it's a nightmare.
- 24:24Speaker 1: That's why I also think, Noel, potentially your microchip situation
- 24:29Speaker 1: might be kind of like AI.
- 24:31Speaker 3: Does that make sense? So it doesn't really to me?
- 24:34Speaker 3: It doesn't to me, Okay, can you explain it?
- 24:36Speaker 1: So why would you think it isn't like AI?
- 24:39Speaker 3: Well, AI is artificial intelligence this is a microchip of
- 24:43Speaker 3: my voice in twenty sixteen.
- 24:44Speaker 2: I agree, this is more similar to like that fungus
- 24:47Speaker 2: that gets in your brain to control you, like Last
- 24:51Speaker 2: of Us style.
- 24:52Speaker 3: That's what I would like. That's what it is.
- 24:54Speaker 2: That's Jane's going through my body and I kind of
- 24:57Speaker 2: feel like, I like, like something.
- 24:59Speaker 3: Isn' the first where are we on this planet?
- 25:03Speaker 2: Give me some jeez? What the fuck was that show?
- 25:07Speaker 3: So that was me doing a fun adult swim type
- 25:10Speaker 3: of cartoon, like a family guy cartoon voice. Oh, I
- 25:14Speaker 3: mean it is funny, it is that was Oh, Papa,
- 25:18Speaker 3: give me some chicken. That was the classic titular character.
- 25:21Speaker 3: So I made that up. Part of it was Gavin saying,
- 25:24Speaker 3: just make up some characters and see what you can
- 25:25Speaker 3: do with the voices. So that was really fun. But yeah,
- 25:28Speaker 3: this is like a monumental time for both unions because
- 25:32Speaker 3: basically what's been happening is over time, we've never actually
- 25:36Speaker 3: had a true conversation about how streaming is affecting our
- 25:40Speaker 3: contracts and how streaming is affecting.
- 25:42Speaker 5: For sure, and real talk, real talk Doris and Skip.
- 25:45Speaker 4: I mean, you guys are doing multiicams and you're doing
- 25:48Speaker 4: them on network television, and it looks like, Doris, you've
- 25:51Speaker 4: had like what you say, one line on one episode
- 25:53Speaker 4: of television, like in one show like once a month,
- 25:58Speaker 4: and you have like seven houses.
- 26:00Speaker 2: And then yes, that's how it works.
- 26:03Speaker 4: Nolan I, Nolan I do like like Nolan and I
- 26:07Speaker 4: are in New Zealand six months out of the year
- 26:09Speaker 4: during literal movie length episodes and we're not even getting
- 26:15Speaker 4: we don't.
- 26:15Speaker 5: Get residuals at all. People can inge our show.
- 26:18Speaker 3: And we're just about the exits set and Sacramento. But
- 26:20Speaker 3: we filmed eight months out of the year in New
- 26:22Speaker 3: Zealand because it's cheaper for Apple to hire New Zealand
- 26:26Speaker 3: locals than actually pay people in California the California rates.
- 26:31Speaker 3: But Doris and we have to pay for our own
- 26:33Speaker 3: flights out there, and we have to pay for our
- 26:34Speaker 3: own board. It's crazy.
- 26:37Speaker 4: But Doris, I think I think you walking into Young
- 26:40Speaker 4: Sheldon and you say, like, what is it?
- 26:42Speaker 5: You walk in there and you go, oh, this isn't
- 26:44Speaker 5: my classroom and you walked out. I think you got
- 26:46Speaker 5: paid more exactly mine was.
- 26:48Speaker 2: This kid doesn't belong in my classroom.
- 26:51Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 26:52Speaker 4: Yes, that's really legendary that you got paid more than
- 26:55Speaker 4: my entire career on thirteen reasons.
- 26:57Speaker 2: Why, And I hate that for you. I hear this
- 27:01Speaker 2: all the time with the you know, younger actors, because
- 27:04Speaker 2: they're cover to me. They're worried about the negotiations, and
- 27:06Speaker 2: they're telling me. They're telling me crazy stuff. I heard
- 27:09Speaker 2: of a girl who was on a Hulu show and
- 27:12Speaker 2: she said she was paid two hundred dollars, but they
- 27:14Speaker 2: had a claws in her contract where they got to
- 27:19Speaker 2: kick her in the toes a bunch of times before
- 27:22Speaker 2: she went on.
- 27:22Speaker 3: I know her, I know her, Yeah, let them do that.
- 27:25Speaker 5: I know car toes are so swollen.
- 27:28Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, to be kicked in the toes specifically,
- 27:31Speaker 3: it's like it's one of the worst torture, you think,
- 27:34Speaker 3: because it's crazy.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Well, and you thought you're wondering are they kicking down
- 27:38Speaker 1: or they kicking into the toes. They're kicking under the toes.
- 27:40Speaker 1: They have her razor toes up and they kick they
- 27:42Speaker 1: kick them up so her toes go up.
- 27:44Speaker 5: I mean, how are they raising her toes?
- 27:46Speaker 1: They're making her put her toes in the air and
- 27:48Speaker 1: then they kick them.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Yes, it's very like she knows what's about to happen.
- 27:52Speaker 1: It's hard. She's aware, it's just brutal. I mean, the
- 27:56Speaker 1: rates are not liveable, you know. As a stand up comic,
- 27:58Speaker 1: I was touring, I had specials. That money is fantastic.
- 28:02Speaker 1: And I suggest if any of you have an interest
- 28:04Speaker 1: in doing stand up comedy, I suggest you guys go
- 28:06Speaker 1: become touring comics. And I suggest you guys go become
- 28:09Speaker 1: headlining comics, because for me it was easy.
- 28:11Speaker 3: And I'm sure you're if you're like a you're on
- 28:13Speaker 3: the clean comedy circuit, aren't you.
- 28:14Speaker 1: I was on the clean comedy circuit. Yeah, absolutely, and
- 28:17Speaker 1: I was. I was really doing it. I was. I
- 28:20Speaker 1: I was part of uh angel Baby Comedy and uh.
- 28:25Speaker 5: That was just I become a headliner.
- 28:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:27Speaker 1: I would suggest that if you guys have some time
- 28:29Speaker 1: to like kind of put into it.
- 28:30Speaker 3: I think you give us oney of your jokes. Please
- 28:32Speaker 3: give us one of your jokes, one of my jokes, Yeah,
- 28:35Speaker 3: one of your jokesyah.
- 28:36Speaker 1: One of your baby. So one of my things I
- 28:39Speaker 1: talk about is I always say, can I just say something?
- 28:42Speaker 1: That's always what I say. Can I just say something?
- 28:47Speaker 1: Can I just say something? Cantilope is basically the filler
- 28:53Speaker 1: fruit of a fruit salad. And then I talk a
- 28:56Speaker 1: lot about that where I go, I'm sorry, Uh, Candleope
- 28:59Speaker 1: is the Chevy Impala of fruit salads. Cantalope is the
- 29:05Speaker 1: Kim Kardashian of fruit salads.
- 29:09Speaker 5: Now that I don't agree with.
- 29:10Speaker 3: That feels completely different, so different. That feels like you're
- 29:13Speaker 3: just saying, Kim Kardashian, wow.
- 29:17Speaker 5: At the end, let me finish, Let me finish.
- 29:21Speaker 1: Let me finish, because I say, and you might not
- 29:23Speaker 1: think of Chevy and Paula and Kim Kardashian you are
- 29:25Speaker 1: the same, but get up close to it, and you
- 29:28Speaker 1: see there's a lot of work done.
- 29:31Speaker 3: Can okay?
- 29:34Speaker 1: And then I said, when I was eighteen, I worked
- 29:37Speaker 1: in a Halloween store for three months. And then I
- 29:41Speaker 1: go into that and which I don't want to spoil
- 29:42Speaker 1: because that's in the show. And if we ever get
- 29:44Speaker 1: to film the rest of SKIP, you're gonna want to
- 29:47Speaker 1: see it, and it's gonna be really fun, but it's
- 29:49Speaker 1: it's tough.
- 29:50Speaker 3: You know.
- 29:50Speaker 1: I'm really excited to be part of this union now
- 29:52Speaker 1: because I got taps Heart lead in as soon as
- 29:54Speaker 1: I got on the show, obviously, and we were trying
- 29:57Speaker 1: to start a stand up comedians union, and it just
- 29:59Speaker 1: wasn't work.
- 30:00Speaker 3: Yeah, it's tough to do a stand up comedians union
- 30:03Speaker 3: because everybody is so cynical.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, yeah, and the rights we were asking for,
- 30:09Speaker 1: you know, it was just so much free speech stuff
- 30:12Speaker 1: right now, where it was just kind of like being like,
- 30:14Speaker 1: we want the right to be able to say anything.
- 30:17Speaker 3: Crazy because who are they trying to unionize against, just
- 30:20Speaker 3: in general, the American people.
- 30:23Speaker 1: The venues were like totally fine, we'll pay you in
- 30:25Speaker 1: a sandwich, and so like that was hard because of negotiating.
- 30:28Speaker 4: With sandwich size and it's like, how do you You're
- 30:32Speaker 4: basically inventing a new type of just like like dollar Yeah, exactly.
- 30:37Speaker 1: It was tough and it wasn't worth it. So I'm
- 30:38Speaker 1: happy that I'm now part of a union that's gonna
- 30:40Speaker 1: get stuff done.
- 30:42Speaker 3: And that's another shirt I have.
- 30:43Speaker 2: That's gonna don't get it skipped. I really get it.
- 30:47Speaker 3: If I can find shirt.
- 30:49Speaker 1: I feel like, if I can find it, you'll.
- 30:51Speaker 2: Never find that shirt skip you You've got a mountain
- 30:54Speaker 2: of laundry behind you.
- 30:56Speaker 1: Yes, I can find it.
- 30:57Speaker 5: And while but listen, it's.
- 31:02Speaker 4: Listen, we're gonna get We're gonna get what we want,
- 31:04Speaker 4: and we're gonna get what we need. And while we
- 31:05Speaker 4: fight for that, I'm also gonna get the love of
- 31:07Speaker 4: my life and I and I also ask for people
- 31:09Speaker 4: to join me in that because I think it's so
- 31:12Speaker 4: important that we don't lose time in the life. And
- 31:14Speaker 4: also our life isn't just storytelling, it's also just basic
- 31:19Speaker 4: human needs.
- 31:20Speaker 2: Right, And you have so much time left, you know,
- 31:25Speaker 2: many years. You have to find love right away. You
- 31:28Speaker 2: should date yourself. No, it's on yourself and the love
- 31:33Speaker 2: will come later.
- 31:35Speaker 4: Doris Doris, How Doris is actually active?
- 31:39Speaker 2: Oh, of course, of course I'm on a dating app for.
- 31:46Speaker 5: You mean Field No, no, no, I am on that too.
- 31:52Speaker 2: But this one's called Okay Grandma, And it's where angry
- 31:57Speaker 2: men and angry women of a certain age get together
- 32:02Speaker 2: and we say why I yata all day long. It's perfect.
- 32:07Speaker 2: I've met many loves of my life. It never sticks
- 32:09Speaker 2: around because we're always we get sick of each other
- 32:12Speaker 2: almost immediately, but it's a wonderful place. Look. I also
- 32:15Speaker 2: wanted to bring up we were talking about negotiations just
- 32:18Speaker 2: a minute ago, and as you know, I am in
- 32:21Speaker 2: those meetings with the AMPTP. So I want to hear
- 32:25Speaker 2: from you, the younger generation, in addition to all the
- 32:28Speaker 2: demands that we have, you know, is there anything else
- 32:31Speaker 2: as an actor that we should be aware of that
- 32:33Speaker 2: we should be bringing to the table.
- 32:35Speaker 3: That's a really good question. Thank you for asking that.
- 32:39Speaker 3: I would love if they could maybe include something that
- 32:44Speaker 3: says like I can get food and meals three times
- 32:48Speaker 3: a day. Is that? Is that already in there?
- 32:51Speaker 1: That should be in there, man, Yeah, that should already
- 32:53Speaker 1: be in there. How many meals are you getting?
- 32:54Speaker 3: I get half a meal a day and they don't.
- 32:57Speaker 3: They don't let me eat anymore, which is my god?
- 33:00Speaker 3: Which the second half?
- 33:03Speaker 5: Okay?
- 33:04Speaker 2: So the rest of the asparagus.
- 33:07Speaker 3: The rest of the potatoes, the rest, so whatever, the
- 33:10Speaker 3: kind of it's kind of like the leftovers. The producers
- 33:12Speaker 3: get to eat first and whatever is left the scraps
- 33:15Speaker 3: kind of go to that.
- 33:15Speaker 5: That's so sad.
- 33:16Speaker 4: I also need like four to five men to like
- 33:19Speaker 4: kind of flirt with me.
- 33:21Speaker 1: And can I give you no no, no, no, hold on,
- 33:23Speaker 1: can I give you some advice? I think you'd be
- 33:25Speaker 1: a lot happier if you didn't date in the industry.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Have you ever tried that not dating other actors or writers.
- 33:31Speaker 2: No, what about a woodworker, a man who works with
- 33:36Speaker 2: his hands, a lumber jack.
- 33:38Speaker 3: You'd be so good. You'd be so good with a woodworker.
- 33:41Speaker 3: I have a couple of woodworker friends. You would love them.
- 33:44Speaker 4: But Doris, I do want to say, I'm I'm so
- 33:48Speaker 4: glad you're so close with fran Dresher. I think you guys'
- 33:51Speaker 4: friendship is really special.
- 33:53Speaker 2: Oh, we're best friends. We're like Yin and yang. She's
- 33:57Speaker 2: a good cup and I'm the bad cup.
- 34:00Speaker 3: She's the good cop to your bad.
- 34:03Speaker 1: So let's talk about a couple of real frustrating things
- 34:07Speaker 1: that friend Fresher has done lately. Right, she did. She
- 34:10Speaker 1: held that giant town hall where she was in the
- 34:12Speaker 1: middle of a town hall. This is a real thing.
- 34:14Speaker 1: Where it was about five hour meeting where everyone was
- 34:16Speaker 1: talking about their negotiating rights and what they want to
- 34:19Speaker 1: negotiate with the AMPTP four. She got really mad at everyone.
- 34:22Speaker 1: She left for twenty minutes. She came back, she had
- 34:25Speaker 1: a bathrobe on and she had a wet hair.
- 34:28Speaker 3: Clearly had just.
- 34:29Speaker 5: Taken a bath or a court.
- 34:33Speaker 2: The friend to tell me about that part. I didn't
- 34:36Speaker 2: know she.
- 34:36Speaker 5: Did that she ard that I friended this.
- 34:39Speaker 2: I guess I'm the bad cop in that I've been
- 34:42Speaker 2: to jail more than she had, and that's kind of
- 34:47Speaker 2: how we've delineated it.
- 34:48Speaker 3: It's you know, yeah, I maybe i'd maybe let the
- 34:53Speaker 3: shower thing slide if During the last week of negotiations,
- 34:57Speaker 3: she was actually seen in Italy with Kim carr Ashan
- 35:00Speaker 3: taking photos at events the Cape of People.
- 35:04Speaker 5: By the way, were you in Doris? Were you in
- 35:08Speaker 5: Italy with them?
- 35:09Speaker 2: No, I was working. I was sitting in the boardroom
- 35:12Speaker 2: with the AMPTP, swinging my fists around at the carrot
- 35:16Speaker 2: they dangle on a string to keep me busy, and
- 35:19Speaker 2: I was so pissed off. I can't believe the things
- 35:24Speaker 2: they do to me. It's so disrespectful. They just jangle things.
- 35:28Speaker 2: I think they've rigged a bunch of fishing wire in
- 35:30Speaker 2: the ceiling, and they dangle different objects that they know
- 35:33Speaker 2: will entice me, like a cupcake or a carrot, or
- 35:36Speaker 2: a bunch of shiny, shiny keys, and they keep me
- 35:41Speaker 2: distracted because they know they know then if they let
- 35:45Speaker 2: me talk, and if they let my fist swing, this debate,
- 35:49Speaker 2: this contract would be settled. Tomorrow and they would have
- 35:53Speaker 2: to cave because they can't keep getting okay the way
- 35:56Speaker 2: because the way I punch. I want to explain something
- 35:59Speaker 2: about the way I punch.
- 36:00Speaker 3: Yeah, go aheads go please, because I've been wondering strong.
- 36:03Speaker 2: I'm not strong, right, and so if I deck a
- 36:06Speaker 2: member of the AMPTP in the face, They're not gonna fall.
- 36:10Speaker 2: It's like a slow and gradual erosion of the coastline.
- 36:15Speaker 2: I punch a thousand times a minute. It's like Chinese
- 36:18Speaker 2: water torture, where if you get punched enough times in
- 36:21Speaker 2: the arm, just slightly, just ever so slightly, you will
- 36:25Speaker 2: go mentally insane. And so that's the tactic that I've
- 36:29Speaker 2: kind of been using, and that's what makes me beat.
- 36:32Speaker 2: I also wear a motorjike by motorcycle jacket, and that's
- 36:36Speaker 2: kind of why I'm the bad cop.
- 36:37Speaker 3: I guess, oh, you just kind of look like the
- 36:40Speaker 3: bad cop. Yeah.
- 36:42Speaker 2: They sort of pulled me in a little outfit.
- 36:44Speaker 4: You are out there on the sidelines fighting for actors
- 36:48Speaker 4: and writers and creators and teamsters.
- 36:52Speaker 5: Meanwhile, she's in Italy. You are the good cop, Doris.
- 36:55Speaker 1: I honestly don't know who the worst cop is. I
- 36:57Speaker 1: think you're both pretty bad cops in different regards.
- 37:00Speaker 3: Yeah, you're a bad cop in the tense of like
- 37:02Speaker 3: you're gonna hold for justice in a bad way. She's
- 37:04Speaker 3: a bad cop in like a bad apple in the industry,
- 37:07Speaker 3: you know, like not helpful keeping everything. So, so I know,
- 37:10Speaker 3: now we're gonna have like a lot of downtime. You know,
- 37:13Speaker 3: we're gonna be striped, but we're also gonna be doing
- 37:14Speaker 3: a lot of other things. How what are you guys
- 37:17Speaker 3: gonna do to pass the time now, Like.
- 37:19Speaker 5: Oh, that's such a good question.
- 37:21Speaker 1: It's it's tough. I mean, it's really tough for me.
- 37:23Speaker 1: It's it's kind of a bummer because I was really
- 37:25Speaker 1: excited to do the show so and I really didn't
- 37:28Speaker 1: want to have to do this, but unfortunately I do
- 37:30Speaker 1: have to go back to headlining pig shows, and it's
- 37:32Speaker 1: gonna be tough for.
- 37:33Speaker 3: Me to a headline So you sorry, So just just
- 37:37Speaker 3: setting your story straight. You joined the Union a month
- 37:40Speaker 3: ago before you're.
- 37:41Speaker 1: Pilot, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 37:44Speaker 3: I mean now you're gonna go headline shows around the country, Okay, yeah, totally.
- 37:48Speaker 1: I mean that's just kind of what I'm up to
- 37:49Speaker 1: and it's such a bummer because I'm so ready. I mean,
- 37:51Speaker 1: I'm gonna be picketing. Obviously, that's gonna take up a
- 37:54Speaker 1: good amount of every day, and I'm really excited about that. Again,
- 37:58Speaker 1: the shirt is really really good, guys. It's so good
- 38:03Speaker 1: and I'm gonna be seeing in it and people can
- 38:04Speaker 1: take pictures of me and tell me what.
- 38:06Speaker 2: The shirt is. Again, Saga stands with.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Bag stands with Sag.
- 38:11Speaker 2: Yeah, it doesn't have what it takes. It's it's not
- 38:16Speaker 2: the shirt.
- 38:17Speaker 3: Okay, I'll take a shirt it's worth looking for.
- 38:23Speaker 2: That's not the shirt.
- 38:24Speaker 5: It's not the shirt, it's the people you meet in
- 38:26Speaker 5: the shirt.
- 38:28Speaker 1: I don't think that's it for me either.
- 38:30Speaker 2: Everyone.
- 38:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't actually receive that as being hit on.
- 38:33Speaker 1: As again, I was at the Sexual Pride March, so
- 38:36Speaker 1: I don't. I don't think that that is gonna happen
- 38:38Speaker 1: for me. Listen, Okay, I I am ready to get
- 38:42Speaker 1: out there and I'm gonna be using all of my
- 38:44Speaker 1: energy into picketing. I'm gonna be making some great signs,
- 38:48Speaker 1: I'm gonna be making some big statements, and I'm gonna
- 38:51Speaker 1: be talking about this on my headlining tour. So people
- 38:54Speaker 1: are aware of what's going on. So it's it's everything
- 38:59Speaker 1: I can do. And so I'm gonna be in Baltimore
- 39:03Speaker 1: in August, and then we're gonna be going up to
- 39:06Speaker 1: New Haven, Connecticut, and then we're jumping over to New
- 39:09Speaker 1: York City. I'm doing a week in New York and
- 39:11Speaker 1: then I'm going south. I'm gonna be going over to
- 39:13Speaker 1: New Jersey. I'm doing some uh in Bridgetown, New Jersey,
- 39:17Speaker 1: and then I'm gonna be jumping across the country. I'm
- 39:19Speaker 1: gonna start in Washington. I'm gonna be going down Washington.
- 39:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna start a Seattle jumping the country. I'm gonna
- 39:27Speaker 1: go to Seattle, and I'm gonna go to Portland, and
- 39:29Speaker 1: then we're doing Redding, California, and then we're gonna be
- 39:32Speaker 1: going over to San Francisco.
- 39:36Speaker 4: All right, thank you so much for your service, SKIPT
- 39:40Speaker 4: that's really awesome.
- 39:43Speaker 2: Single I'm fighting, some.
- 39:46Speaker 5: Of us will be fighting, Okay, no, what about you?
- 39:49Speaker 3: Oh thank you. So I legally, contractually they are keeping
- 39:54Speaker 3: me in a pen in New Zealand until the strike
- 39:57Speaker 3: is over. Contractually, contractually, I yeah, Unfortunately, the AMPTP and
- 40:02Speaker 3: this is a thing that I also would love to
- 40:04Speaker 3: be considered in the negotiations, maybe taking just a little
- 40:07Speaker 3: more power away from the AMPTP.
- 40:09Speaker 1: Do you have reps? Do you have people who are
- 40:11Speaker 1: reading these contracts before you sign them?
- 40:13Speaker 3: My reps are the producers on the show from Apple.
- 40:15Speaker 4: Oh no, oh no, yeah, what what's wrong with that?
- 40:22Speaker 3: No?
- 40:23Speaker 1: I think you're like one of the first people in
- 40:25Speaker 1: like maybe the new studio system. It sounds like the
- 40:28Speaker 1: studio system is back, which.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Is seems like it's like a shark for the eat.
- 40:36Speaker 3: That is what they said verbatim to me, and then
- 40:39Speaker 3: they laughed and laughed and laughed and then opened up
- 40:41Speaker 3: a pit with a bunch of sharks and said see
- 40:43Speaker 3: as a metaphor.
- 40:44Speaker 4: And they oh, no, no, no, no, that's not that Well.
- 40:49Speaker 3: This is actually great because I'm also gonna be working
- 40:51Speaker 3: on my pilot Oh no nol, which is actually based
- 40:54Speaker 3: on my life, and I'm excited. I know we're not
- 40:57Speaker 3: supposed to be writing during the strike, because that's actually bad,
- 41:00Speaker 3: but I'm hoping if you guys have any notes, you
- 41:02Speaker 3: guys will read it and give me notes. So that's
- 41:05Speaker 3: that's that's cool. Okay, never mind.
- 41:11Speaker 2: It's just a series of misfortunes.
- 41:14Speaker 3: It's so a series of unfortunate events, so kind of
- 41:18Speaker 3: it is the it's the Bodolaires siblings, but it's just
- 41:22Speaker 3: me and my just me and my two friends. And
- 41:25Speaker 3: it is a situation where my parents die and we're
- 41:28Speaker 3: sent to an uncle and he's really really mean and
- 41:31Speaker 3: he just wants me to die for my money. So
- 41:34Speaker 3: he's constantly trying to kill me and my two buddies,
- 41:36Speaker 3: greg and Gregory. And it is all about the high
- 41:40Speaker 3: jinks and it's really really fun. It's kind of set
- 41:43Speaker 3: in this imaginary world I built by myself, I built
- 41:47Speaker 3: as a child. It was really fun to build. And
- 41:50Speaker 3: I'm just kind of exploring that world.
- 41:52Speaker 2: No, do you have anybody looking out for you, like
- 41:56Speaker 2: a like a therapist or a bodyguard of sort.
- 42:00Speaker 3: Well, my therapist is from Apple. My bodyguards are Silicon
- 42:09Speaker 3: Valley guys who got hired from Apple.
- 42:11Speaker 1: Are they big.
- 42:17Speaker 2: Micro chips?
- 42:19Speaker 3: Yeah, so they gave me the micro chips. They really
- 42:21Speaker 3: helped me with my career. Oh god, those bodyguards are
- 42:26Speaker 3: not big, not big at all, but they did help
- 42:28Speaker 3: me develop microchips.
- 42:30Speaker 4: So yeah, I'm just gonna be on the picket lines.
- 42:33Speaker 4: I'm gonna be you know, like really just trying to
- 42:38Speaker 4: like open my heart up to any connections. And then
- 42:42Speaker 4: at nights I have I'll just probably be zabulon Barflores,
- 42:49Speaker 4: Low Boy, El Prado.
- 42:51Speaker 5: Tenants of the Trees.
- 42:55Speaker 1: You name me, okay, and those are.
- 43:00Speaker 5: Bars?
- 43:01Speaker 1: Okay?
- 43:03Speaker 2: Yeah, he just got to town. He's never been to
- 43:06Speaker 2: Tenants of the Trees in his life, do you have?
- 43:10Speaker 2: I spent a lot of time in Tenants of the Trees.
- 43:15Speaker 3: Where it was just tenants of the tree. There was
- 43:17Speaker 3: just one tree.
- 43:19Speaker 2: Back in my day, we didn't need to have a
- 43:22Speaker 2: bunch of trees. Went wait were the tenants? We only
- 43:27Speaker 2: needed one tree and that was good enough for us.
- 43:30Speaker 2: That we could flirt and buck and share a cigarette
- 43:34Speaker 2: with a guy with a mullet all we wanted. We
- 43:37Speaker 2: didn't need multiple trees to do that. This generation has
- 43:41Speaker 2: gone soft, Doris.
- 43:43Speaker 5: You were there when it was Tenants of the Bush.
- 43:46Speaker 2: I was there when it was Tenants of the Bush.
- 43:48Speaker 2: You know what, I liked it. I liked it better
- 43:50Speaker 2: than there were only four people in the bar, and
- 43:53Speaker 2: that was good enough for me. This is why you're
- 43:55Speaker 2: having trouble with dating. There's too many options and a
- 43:58Speaker 2: fish there's too many options.
- 44:00Speaker 4: No, I know, And sometimes I think I'm too symmetrical.
- 44:04Speaker 4: And sometimes I think it's hard when I'm blonde. And
- 44:06Speaker 4: sometimes I think it's hard when I look pretty. And
- 44:09Speaker 4: sometimes I think there's just too many options.
- 44:12Speaker 1: I think, right, stop, I'm sorry.
- 44:14Speaker 5: And sometimes what what?
- 44:16Speaker 2: What?
- 44:17Speaker 5: And sometimes I just stop it, just stop, And sometimes
- 44:20Speaker 5: I think.
- 44:21Speaker 3: You really gotta stop, you gotta stop.
- 44:23Speaker 4: And sometimes I think on the picket lines there's too
- 44:26Speaker 4: many hot butt stop it.
- 44:28Speaker 5: And sometimes and sometimes they think what what?
- 44:30Speaker 1: No, No, can you activate your microchip or something?
- 44:34Speaker 3: Alien?
- 44:35Speaker 5: Green Alien?
- 44:36Speaker 3: Oh darn, I think I gave you just the one
- 44:38Speaker 3: with green aliens. I gave you one that's just green Alien.
- 44:42Speaker 3: I was hoping to go off first for a movie
- 44:46Speaker 3: Green Alien.
- 44:48Speaker 1: I want to ask this. Okay, maybe we can use
- 44:50Speaker 1: just to wrap up, because I do have a show tonight.
- 44:53Speaker 1: My question for you guys is we are recording this
- 44:56Speaker 1: the day before the strike.
- 44:58Speaker 3: May or may not go. Sorry, this has been recorded. Yes,
- 45:01Speaker 3: this is not gonna work for me. This is not
- 45:03Speaker 3: gonna work for me. This is not gonna work for me.
- 45:06Speaker 3: This is not gonna work for me.
- 45:08Speaker 2: Oh, don't look behind you. There are two guys who
- 45:12Speaker 2: sort of look like Zuckerberg, and they're who know.
- 45:17Speaker 3: It's greg and Gregory quit my bodyguard questions.
- 45:20Speaker 1: Okay, so my question before maybe they'll give you a
- 45:22Speaker 1: few more minutes and we can finish this. My question
- 45:25Speaker 1: is there's a chance that we may or may not
- 45:27Speaker 1: go on strike tomorrow, so by the time this comes out,
- 45:30Speaker 1: we could have We're basically talking to our future selves, right,
- 45:33Speaker 1: So to your future self, if you do go on strike,
- 45:36Speaker 1: what do you want to say? And if we are
- 45:37Speaker 1: not on strike, what do you want to say? This
- 45:39Speaker 1: is a great time capsule moment.
- 45:43Speaker 2: I would say, work hard, fight hard, play harder, and
- 45:51Speaker 2: never lose your sense of whimsy, never stop swinging, and
- 45:58Speaker 2: never stop firing. The greatest gun in the world, which
- 46:05Speaker 2: is a little shotgun I call being yourself.
- 46:09Speaker 1: And is that for your non striking self or your
- 46:11Speaker 1: striking self?
- 46:13Speaker 2: Oh yeah, right, Uh, this is for my non striking
- 46:18Speaker 2: self and my striking self. I'd say, get.
- 46:22Speaker 7: Out there, get out there, get out there and kill,
- 46:26Speaker 7: kill kill, fight, kill, Doris, fight, fight kill, kill, attack
- 46:31Speaker 7: attack shoot kill kill kill.
- 46:35Speaker 3: Oh wow, that.
- 46:36Speaker 2: Was I'm not allowed on the picket lines. They have
- 46:39Speaker 2: told me that, they have told me.
- 46:41Speaker 5: That Doris, Doris look a shiny thing?
- 46:45Speaker 2: Where is it? Where is it? Give me that?
- 46:47Speaker 5: Give me this?
- 46:47Speaker 2: What is it? A remote?
- 46:48Speaker 3: Oh?
- 46:49Speaker 2: I'm so pissed off. I want my residual. So gim me,
- 46:51Speaker 2: give me, gim me, gim me, gimme me. God, they
- 46:55Speaker 2: got me again.
- 46:57Speaker 1: No, what about you striking yourself? Non striking self?
- 47:00Speaker 3: To my striking self, I'll say, write that funny sign?
- 47:03Speaker 3: Uh it? Really? Come up with a funny sign. I
- 47:08Speaker 3: think it's gonna be tougher for actors because we're not
- 47:11Speaker 3: writers to come up with a funny sign. But I
- 47:13Speaker 3: would love to come up with a funny sign.
- 47:15Speaker 1: So I mean I'm a writer too, because I'm a
- 47:17Speaker 1: stand up. So if you want pitches, I'm happiness.
- 47:19Speaker 3: Yeah. Can we actually pitch out some funny sign ideas
- 47:21Speaker 3: for me? As Ted Sarandos is the cantalope of movies step.
- 47:26Speaker 2: Oh my god, if I saw that sign on the picket,
- 47:30Speaker 2: I would shoot myself.
- 47:34Speaker 3: That's that's wild. I like that. No, I love the intensity.
- 47:38Speaker 2: H honest, I'm just trying to be constructive.
- 47:42Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 47:42Speaker 3: Does anybody else have any pitches? Anybody else? What about?
- 47:49Speaker 3: What about?
- 47:50Speaker 2: Like? Uh?
- 47:51Speaker 3: Uh no? More lines until we get in line, or yeah,
- 47:58Speaker 3: that's yeah.
- 48:00Speaker 2: That's pretty good. I would run with that, though.
- 48:02Speaker 3: It doesn't it doesn't really make sense. It doesn't really
- 48:06Speaker 3: have to make sense.
- 48:07Speaker 2: The picket line sense. The signs, they don't totally make sense.
- 48:10Speaker 2: You gotta read it quickly. You want to read it
- 48:12Speaker 2: quickly and not think about it.
- 48:14Speaker 3: I want it to be funny.
- 48:15Speaker 2: I want it to be about the signs. That's something
- 48:17Speaker 2: about the writer's strike that I will say. It's the
- 48:19Speaker 2: people are being really mean about this sign. The writers
- 48:23Speaker 2: are so brutal.
- 48:25Speaker 5: They're so brutal.
- 48:27Speaker 2: Somebody tries their best to write a nice little sign
- 48:30Speaker 2: that says this is my cardio for the day, and
- 48:33Speaker 2: a bunch of comedy writers get on their sad little
- 48:36Speaker 2: phones and tear that person apart.
- 48:38Speaker 3: That is that's why I want. I don't want to
- 48:42Speaker 3: I don't want to be torn apart. I do not
- 48:44Speaker 3: want to be torn apart.
- 48:45Speaker 5: Those actors are in for a rude, fucking awake.
- 48:48Speaker 2: It's gonna be It's gonna be rough out there for us.
- 48:52Speaker 2: I'll just say that only posting on Instagram, do not
- 48:56Speaker 2: post it on Twitter. If you post it on Twitter,
- 48:58Speaker 2: they will have you did.
- 49:00Speaker 3: What about hashtag striking it? Hashtag striking it? Does that?
- 49:04Speaker 3: Does that? You know what?
- 49:05Speaker 2: That's That's something.
- 49:07Speaker 1: You're gonna fly so under the radar with that, because
- 49:10Speaker 1: there's gonna be so many more highs and lows around
- 49:12Speaker 1: you that you're gonna last forever.
- 49:14Speaker 4: Mine's gonna say, here's your full body slate, and I'm
- 49:19Speaker 4: gonna flick.
- 49:19Speaker 1: Them You're and so you're gonna be flicking them off
- 49:22Speaker 1: for hours the whole time.
- 49:24Speaker 2: Yes, it kind of. It's one of those signs that
- 49:27Speaker 2: only works for the picture.
- 49:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I do like that. Maybe it's like, uh, yeah,
- 49:32Speaker 3: I'll show you my hands and then it's your fists.
- 49:35Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, here's my hands.
- 49:37Speaker 1: When you leave the picket sign for the next day
- 49:40Speaker 1: for someone else to use it, you might want to
- 49:41Speaker 1: leave a note with it to talk about what your
- 49:43Speaker 1: hands are doing.
- 49:44Speaker 5: Hey girl, this sign goes with a physical action.
- 49:51Speaker 1: So yeah, so maybe you could use like self tap
- 49:55Speaker 1: requirements for all the signs. It's perfect.
- 49:57Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, we should know what our actors into is
- 50:00Speaker 2: when we're when we're chanting and when we're walking. We
- 50:03Speaker 2: have to you know, sometimes when I was on the
- 50:05Speaker 2: w g A picket lines, I would I would go, Okay,
- 50:08Speaker 2: now I should walk walk like a bubble would walk. Okay,
- 50:12Speaker 2: now I'm now I'm walking walking like a pirate would walk,
- 50:16Speaker 2: you know, having that secret intention that actors backstory so
- 50:19Speaker 2: that you can perform the role of the striker better.
- 50:22Speaker 2: I think my sign would say, memorize this, I'm angry.
- 50:28Speaker 1: It's pretty good.
- 50:30Speaker 3: That is really good. So that so I think that's
- 50:32Speaker 3: what my focus would be if I was on strike.
- 50:35Speaker 3: If we're not on strike, I think my advice to
- 50:39Speaker 3: me myself is figure out how to get out of
- 50:41Speaker 3: your situation because there's no way. It's because because you're
- 50:46Speaker 3: literally don't don't say it too loud. Greg and Gregory
- 50:50Speaker 3: don't have good hearing, but they could hear.
- 50:53Speaker 2: It, thank god, thank god they don't have good hearing.
- 50:57Speaker 1: Thank god they don't read lips or thank god if
- 51:00Speaker 1: they do relips that your face is turned away from them,
- 51:02Speaker 1: so you can.
- 51:03Speaker 3: Yeah, so my faces turned around and they can't really hear.
- 51:06Speaker 2: They just sort of just talking to each other now
- 51:08Speaker 2: about something else.
- 51:09Speaker 3: Well, they get very distracted by short selling things. So
- 51:12Speaker 3: I mentioned before this meeting so I could talk to
- 51:14Speaker 3: you guys. I said, wow, yeah, you guys think about
- 51:17Speaker 3: short selling anything, and they've just been talking about that
- 51:19Speaker 3: and also pickleball strategies, how to get better pickleball good.
- 51:23Speaker 3: So they're very distracted.
- 51:24Speaker 1: It makes me wonder what they're guarding. Are they guarding
- 51:27Speaker 1: things from you? Or you from things?
- 51:30Speaker 3: I can't tell, But every time I go near you know,
- 51:33Speaker 3: a car, a door, they feel like they go, who whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa,
- 51:37Speaker 3: where are you going? Chief? So, so I'm not sure
- 51:40Speaker 3: if they're guarding me or they're guarding me from things.
- 51:44Speaker 3: So and I'm too scared to ask. So yeah, so
- 51:48Speaker 3: that's that's my thing. But maybe they'll jump on the
- 51:51Speaker 3: picket line with me. That would be fun. That would
- 51:53Speaker 3: be very fun.
- 51:54Speaker 2: We can use the numbers. We're gonna get you out
- 51:57Speaker 2: of this.
- 51:57Speaker 1: Noel and a fish. What would you say to your
- 51:59Speaker 1: self for your non striking.
- 52:01Speaker 4: Self, Uh, striking self, get deck, non striking self, get
- 52:05Speaker 4: deck awesome?
- 52:07Speaker 3: Really focused?
- 52:08Speaker 2: I like that, and I want to I want to
- 52:10Speaker 2: show you a picture of my nephew. I think you
- 52:13Speaker 2: might like it.
- 52:14Speaker 3: He it's Penn Badgely, your nephew Pen Badly.
- 52:22Speaker 2: Yeah, my name is Doris Badley Badely. My my nephew
- 52:25Speaker 2: is pen Penn Badly. He's a baby, and I'm a aunt.
- 52:31Speaker 2: I'm a aunt, which came first.
- 52:36Speaker 3: Sorry, sorry we're.
- 52:39Speaker 5: On young Chldon. It's because your nephew.
- 52:42Speaker 3: I need to figure out what ant is. I need
- 52:44Speaker 3: to figure out what a So I was not born.
- 52:48Speaker 2: Than neo baby, but I became so successful that I
- 52:54Speaker 2: had a nephew that also became successful, thereby giving me
- 52:58Speaker 2: affording me these So it backflipped and now I'm a nepo.
- 53:03Speaker 3: So yes, so his parents got his parents were successful,
- 53:07Speaker 3: they had a neo baby of Pembadgeley. He got successful
- 53:10Speaker 3: so much so that you actually became successful. So you
- 53:13Speaker 3: hear so.
- 53:15Speaker 2: Most neo babies. Imagine a chart that with an arrow
- 53:18Speaker 2: pointing down right, famous mother, famous kid down Mine sort
- 53:23Speaker 2: of works like a like a check mark shape where
- 53:25Speaker 2: it goes mother to son and then back up to aunt.
- 53:30Speaker 4: Thank god we got through that. Okay, skip, what about you?
- 53:33Speaker 1: Well it's really simple, guys. I mean, I feel really
- 53:35Speaker 1: ignited by this fight. So if we don't end up striking,
- 53:39Speaker 1: what I'll say is, don't forget the energy we had
- 53:41Speaker 1: in this moment. I don't forget that we always should
- 53:44Speaker 1: value ourselves or shouldn't value each other. And this is
- 53:47Speaker 1: a viable working situation, this is a viable job in
- 53:51Speaker 1: a career that we need to fight for to continue
- 53:53Speaker 1: to ourselves, not a computer version of ourselves. Okay, we
- 53:56Speaker 1: need to get what we deserve. And because people love
- 54:00Speaker 1: us all over the world, millions of people pay to
- 54:03Speaker 1: see what we do.
- 54:03Speaker 4: So why are straight together like ourselves? There's more of
- 54:07Speaker 4: us than them.
- 54:08Speaker 1: We have two We have so much strength together, and
- 54:10Speaker 1: there's a lot of us, and I think I just
- 54:12Speaker 1: want to remember that if we don't strike, that we
- 54:14Speaker 1: can't get complacent, and we can't let something else happen
- 54:17Speaker 1: down the road.
- 54:18Speaker 2: Okay, exactly exactly. It's about all of us bending together,
- 54:22Speaker 2: hand in hand, then curling those hands into a fist
- 54:26Speaker 2: and sling it.
- 54:27Speaker 1: Exactly exactly. If we do end up striking, you can
- 54:31Speaker 1: catch me in Kansas City in September. You're gonna I'm
- 54:34Speaker 1: gonna head over to Lincoln a little bit after that.
- 54:37Speaker 2: Okay, Candilope, stop plugging.
- 54:40Speaker 3: Yeah, you feel like the Canalope of comedy.
- 54:43Speaker 1: Shut up, Shut up, because guess what that's merch that
- 54:47Speaker 1: I sell? And I have a shirt of that, I
- 54:49Speaker 1: have a shirt. Hold on a minute, wi.
- 54:51Speaker 3: No, no, no, no.
- 54:53Speaker 5: No, no, I have a shirt.
- 54:55Speaker 3: I have a shirt.
- 54:56Speaker 2: Oh my god, is that the shirt?
- 55:01Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 55:02Speaker 3: Wait?
- 55:02Speaker 5: Did you find the shirt?
- 55:04Speaker 2: Oh my god? Skip found the shirt. Skip, You're free.
- 55:09Speaker 2: You found the shirt. You don't have to do this anymore.
- 55:12Speaker 3: You don't have to strike.
- 55:14Speaker 5: We don't have to strike.
- 55:16Speaker 2: Skip the shirt.
- 55:19Speaker 1: I found the shirt and it smells like shit.
