- 0:00Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels but have
- 0:03not love, I have become sound brass or a
- 0:07clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy
- 0:11and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have
- 0:15all faith so that I could remove mountains but have not love,
- 0:19I am nothing. And though I bestow all my
- 0:23goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned,
- 0:26but have not love, it profits me nothing.
- 0:32Love suffers long and is kind. Love does not
- 0:36envy. Love does not parade itself,
- 0:40is not puffed up, does not behave rudely,
- 0:45does not seek its own, is not provoked,
- 0:49thinks no evil. Does not rejoice
- 0:53in iniquity but rejoices in the truth.
- 0:58Love bears all things, believes all things,
- 1:02hopes all things, endures all
- 1:06things. Love never fails.
- 1:12Listen in as we unpack this and take
- 1:17a look at the question: how do we love our enemies How
- 1:21do we put this into practice in a practical way?
- 1:26Welcome to the Daily Audio Torah. Today is August 20th.
- 1:30Now let's continue our journey reading through the entire Bible in one
- 1:34year. This week we are reading from the Israel Bible for the Old Testament
- 1:37and from the King James for the New Testament.
- 1:42Deuteronomy 10:1-22.
- 1:51Thereupon Hashem said to me, Carve out 2 tablets of stone like
- 1:56the first, and come up to Me on the mountain and make an ark of
- 2:00wood. I will inscribe on the tablets the commandments that were on
- 2:03the first tablets that you smashed, and you shall deposit them in
- 2:07the ark. I made an ark of acacia wood and carved
- 2:11out 2 tablets of stone like the first. I took the 2 tablets
- 2:15with me and went up to the mountain. Hashem inscribed
- 2:19on the tablets the same text as on the first, the 10
- 2:22Commandments that He addressed to you on the mountain out of the fire on the
- 2:26Day of the Assembly. And Hashem gave them to me.
- 2:30Then I left and went down from the mountain, and I deposited the tablets
- 2:34in the Ark that I had made, where they still are, as Hashem
- 2:38had commanded me. From Beerot Beni Jaakan, the Israelites
- 2:42marched to Masserah. Aaron died there and was buried there,
- 2:46and his son Eleazar became Kohen in his stead.
- 2:49From there they marched to Gudgad, and from
- 2:53Gudgad to Jotbath, a region of running brooks.
- 2:57At that time Hashem set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the
- 3:01Ark, Brit Hasham, to stand in attendance upon Hashem and
- 3:05to bless in His name. As is still the case.
- 3:10That is why the Levi'im have received no hereditary portion
- 3:14along with their kinsmen. Hashem is their portion,
- 3:18as Hashem your God spoke concerning them. I had
- 3:22stayed on the mountain as I did the first time, 40 days and 40 nights,
- 3:26and Hashem heeded me once again. Hashem agreed not
- 3:30to destroy you. And Hashem said to me, Up,
- 3:33resume the march at the head of the people, that they may go
- 3:36in and possess the land that I swore to their fathers to give
- 3:39them. And now, O Israel, what does Hashem your
- 3:43God demand of you? Only this: to revere Hashem your God,
- 3:48to walk only in His paths, to love Him and
- 3:51to serve Hashem your God with all your heart and soul,
- 3:54keeping Hashem's commandments and laws, which I enjoin
- 3:58upon you today for your good. Mark,
- 4:02the heavens to their uttermost reaches belong to Hashem your God,
- 4:05the earth and all that is on it. Yet it
- 4:09was to your fathers that Hashem was drawn in His love for them,
- 4:12so that He chose you, their lineal descendants, from among all
- 4:16peoples, as is now the case.
- 4:19Cut away, therefore, the thickening about your hearts and stiffen your
- 4:23necks no more. For Hashem your God is God
- 4:27Supreme and Lord Supreme, The great, the mighty, and the
- 4:31awesome Hashem who shows no favor and takes no bribe,
- 4:35but upholds the cause of the fatherless and the widow and
- 4:39befriends the stranger, providing him with food
- 4:43and clothing. You too must befriend the
- 4:47stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt. You must revere Hashem
- 4:51your God. Only Him shall you worship. To Him
- 4:56shall you hold fast, and by His name shall you swear.
- 4:59He is your Glory, and He is your God, who wrought for you those
- 5:03marvelous, awesome deeds that you saw with your
- 5:07own eyes. Your ancestors went down to Egypt,
- 5:1170 persons in all, and now Hashem your God has made
- 5:15you as numerous as the stars of heaven.
- 5:23Esther 8:1-10:3.
- 5:28That very day King Ahasuerus gave the property of Haman,
- 5:31the enemy of the Jews, to Queen Esther. Mordecai presented
- 5:36himself to the king, for Esther had revealed how he was related
- 5:40to her. The king slipped off his ring, which he had taken back from
- 5:43Haman, and gave it to Mordecai. And Esther put Mordecai
- 5:47in charge of Haman's property. Esther spoke
- 5:51to the king again, falling at his feet and weeping and beseeching him to avert
- 5:55the evil plotted by Haman the Agagite against the Jews.
- 6:00The king extended the golden scepter to Esther, and Esther arose
- 6:04and stood before the king. If it please Your Majesty,
- 6:07she said, and if I have won Your favor and the proposal
- 6:11seems right to Your Majesty, and if I am pleasing to You,
- 6:15let dispatches be written countermanding those which
- 6:18were written by Haman son of Hammedatha the
- 6:22Agagite, embodying his plot to annihilate the Jews throughout
- 6:26the king's provinces. For how can I bear to see the disaster
- 6:30which will befall my people? And how can I bear to see the destruction of
- 6:35my kindred? Then King Ahasuerus said to Queen Esther
- 6:39and Mordecai the Jew, I have given Haman's property to
- 6:43Esther, and he has been impaled on the stake for scheming
- 6:46against the Jews. And you may further write with regard
- 6:50to the Jews as you see fit. Write it in the king's name
- 6:53and seal it with the king's signet, for an edict that
- 6:58has been written in the king's name and sealed with the king's signet may not
- 7:02be revoked. So the king's scribes were summoned
- 7:06at that time, on the 23rd day of the 3rd month,
- 7:09that is, the month of Sivan, and letters were written
- 7:13at Mordecai's dictation to the Jews and to the satraps,
- 7:18the governors, and the officials of the 127 provinces
- 7:22from India to Ethiopia, to every province in its
- 7:26own script and to every people in its own language,
- 7:30and to the Jews in their own script and language.
- 7:34He had them written in the name of King Ahasuerus and sealed with
- 7:38the king's signet. Letters were dispatched by mounted
- 7:41couriers riding steeds used in the king's service,
- 7:45bred of the royal stud, to this effect: The
- 7:49king has permitted the Jews of every city to assemble and fight
- 7:53for their lives. If any people or province attacks them,
- 7:57they may destroy, massacre, and exterminate its armed
- 8:00force together with women and children and plunder their possessions.
- 8:07On a single day in all the provinces of King Ahasuerus, namely on
- 8:11the 13th day of the 12th month, that is, the month of Adar,
- 8:15the text of the document was to be issued as a law in every
- 8:19single province. It was to be publicly displayed to
- 8:23all the peoples, so that the Jews should be ready
- 8:26for that day to avenge themselves on their enemies.
- 8:30The couriers, mounted on royal steeds, went out in urgent
- 8:34haste at the king's command. And the decree was proclaimed in the fortress,
- 8:38Shushan. Mordecai left the king's presence
- 8:42in royal robes of blue and white, with a magnificent crown
- 8:45of gold and a mantle of fine linen and purple wool. And the city
- 8:50of Shushan rang with joyous cries. The Jews enjoyed light and
- 8:54gladness, happiness and honor. And in every province
- 8:58and in every city, when the king's command and decree arrived,
- 9:02there was gladness and joy among the Jews, a feast
- 9:05and a holiday. And many of the people of the land professed
- 9:09to be Jews, for the fear of the Jews had fallen upon
- 9:13them. And so, on the
- 9:1613th day of the 12th month, that is, the month of Adar,
- 9:20when the king's command and decree were to be executed,
- 9:23the very day on which the enemies of the Jews had
- 9:27expected to get them in their power, the opposite happened, and the Jews
- 9:31got their enemies in their power. Throughout the provinces
- 9:35of King Ahasuerus the Jews mustered in their cities to attack
- 9:39those who sought their hurt, and no one could withstand them,
- 9:42for the fear of them had fallen upon all the peoples.
- 9:46Indeed, all the officials of the provinces, the satraps,
- 9:50governors, and the king's stewards, showed deference to the
- 9:54Jews because the fear of Mordecai had fallen upon them.
- 9:57For Mordecai was now powerful in the royal palace,
- 10:01and his fame was spreading through all the provinces.
- 10:05The man Mordecai was growing ever more powerful.
- 10:08So the Jews struck at their enemies with the sword,
- 10:12slaying and destroying. They wreaked their will upon
- 10:15their enemies. In the fortress Shushan, the Jews killed
- 10:20a total of 500 men. They also killed Harshadatha,
- 10:24Dalphan, Aspatha, Horatha,
- 10:28Adalia, Eridatha,
- 10:30Parmashta, Eresai,
- 10:33Eredai, and Vizatha, the 10 sons of Hanun,
- 10:37son of Hammedatha, the foe of the Jews,
- 10:41but they did not lay hands on the spoil. When the
- 10:45number of those slain in the fortress Shushan was reported on that same day
- 10:49to the king, The king said to Queen Esther,
- 10:52In the fortress Shushan alone, the Jews have killed a total of
- 10:57500 men, as well as the 10 sons of Haman. What then
- 11:01must they have done in the provinces of the realm? What is your wish
- 11:05now? It shall be granted you. And what else is your request?
- 11:09It shall be fulfilled. If it please Your
- 11:14Majesty, Esther replied, let the Jews in Shushan be permitted
- 11:18to act tomorrow, also as they did today, and let Haman's 10
- 11:22sons be impaled on the stake. The king ordered
- 11:26that this should be done, and the decree was proclaimed in Shushan.
- 11:30Haman's 10 sons were impaled, and the Jews in Shushan
- 11:34mustered again on the 14th day of Adar and slew
- 11:38300 men in Shushan, but they did not lay hands on the spoil.
- 11:42The rest of the Jews, those in the king's provinces,
- 11:46likewise mustered and fought for their lives. They disposed
- 11:50of their enemies, killing 75,000 of their foes,
- 11:53but they did not lay hands on the spoil.
- 11:58That was on the 13th day of the month of Adar, and they rested
- 12:02on the 14th day and made it a day of feasting and merrymaking.
- 12:06But the Jews in Shushan mustered on both the 13th and
- 12:10the 14th days, and so rested on the 15th and
- 12:13made it a day of feasting and merrymaking. That is why
- 12:17village Jews who live in unwalled towns observe the 14th
- 12:21day of the month of Adar and make it a day of merrymaking and feasting,
- 12:25and as a holiday and an occasion for sending gifts to one
- 12:29another. Mordecai recorded these events,
- 12:33and he sent dispatches to all the Jews throughout the provinces
- 12:36of King Ahasuerus near and far, charging them to observe
- 12:40the 14th and 15th days of Adar every year,
- 12:44the same days on which the Jews enjoyed relief from their foes,
- 12:48and the same month which had been transformed for them
- 12:51from one of grief and mourning to one
- 12:55of festive joy. They were to observe them as days
- 12:59of feasting and merrymaking, and as an occasion for
- 13:03sending gifts to one another and presents to the poor.
- 13:07The Jews accordingly assumed as an obligation that which they
- 13:11had begun to practice and which Mordecai prescribed for them.
- 13:15For Haman, son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the foe of
- 13:20all the Jews, had plotted to destroy the Jews and had cast
- 13:24pur, that is, the lot, with intent to crush
- 13:28and exterminate them.
- 13:31But when Esther came before the king, he commanded,
- 13:34with the promulgation of this decree, Let the evil plot which
- 13:38he devised against the Jews recoil on his own head.
- 13:42So they impaled him and his sons on the stake.
- 13:46For that reason these days were named Purim,
- 13:50after Pur. In view, then, of all the instructions
- 13:54in the said letter and of what they had experienced in that matter
- 13:57and what had befallen them, the Jews undertook and irrevocably
- 14:01obligated themselves and their descendants,
- 14:05and all who might join them, to observe these 2 days in the manner prescribed
- 14:09and at the proper time each year. Consequently,
- 14:13these days are recalled and observed in every generation,
- 14:18by every family, every province, and every city. And these
- 14:22days of Purim shall never cease among the Jews, and the
- 14:26memory of them shall never perish among their descendants. Then Queen
- 14:30Esther, daughter of Ariakeel,
- 14:34wrote a second letter of Purim for the purpose of confirming with
- 14:38full authority the aforementioned one of Mordecai the Jew.
- 14:42Dispatches were sent to all the Jews in the 127 provinces
- 14:47of the realm of Ahasuerus with an ordinance of equity
- 14:51and honesty: Those days of Purim shall be observed
- 14:55at their proper time. As Mordecai the Jew and now
- 14:58Queen Esther has obligated them to do,
- 15:02and just as they have assumed for themselves and
- 15:06their descendants the obligation of the fasts with their lamentations,
- 15:10and Esther's ordinance validating these observances of Purim was
- 15:14recorded in a scroll. King Ahasuerus imposed
- 15:19tribute on the mainland and the islands. All his mighty and
- 15:22powerful acts and a full account of the greatness to which the king advanced
- 15:27Mordecai are recorded in the annals of the kings of Media and
- 15:31Persia, where Mordecai the Jew ranked next
- 15:35to King Ahasuerus and was highly regarded by the Jews and
- 15:38popular with the multitude of his brethren. He sought
- 15:42the good of his people and interceded for the welfare of
- 15:46all his kindred.
- 15:551 Corinthians 12:27-13:13.
- 16:05Now you are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
- 16:09And God has sent some in the church: first apostles,
- 16:13second prophets, third teachers, after that
- 16:16miracles, Then gifts of healings, helps,
- 16:20governments, diversities of tongues.
- 16:23Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers?
- 16:28Are all workers of miracles? Have all
- 16:31the gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues?
- 16:35Do all interpret? But covet earnestly the best gifts.
- 16:39And yet I show you a more excellent way.
- 16:44Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels and have
- 16:47not love, I have become as a sounding brass
- 16:51or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy
- 16:55and understand all mysteries and all knowledge,
- 16:59and though I have all faith so that I could remove mountains and
- 17:03have not love, I am nothing. And though I
- 17:07bestow all my goods to feed the poor And though I give my
- 17:11body to be burned and have not charity, it profits me nothing.
- 17:16Love suffers long and is kind. Love envies not.
- 17:21Love does not vaunt itself, is not puffed
- 17:24up, does not behave itself unseemly,
- 17:28seeks not her own, is not easily provoked,
- 17:32thinks no evil, rejoices not in in
- 17:36iniquity, but rejoices in the truth.
- 17:39Love bears all things, believes all things,
- 17:43hopes all things, endures all things.
- 17:48Love never fails. But whether there be prophecies,
- 17:52they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease;
- 17:56whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
- 18:00For we know in part, and we prophesy in part,
- 18:03But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is
- 18:07in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spoke
- 18:11as a child, I understood as a child,
- 18:15I thought as a child. But when I became a man,
- 18:19I put away childish things. For now we see
- 18:24through a glass darkly, but then face to face.
- 18:27Now I know in part, but then shall I know even as also
- 18:31I am known. And now abides faith,
- 18:35hope, and love, these 3; but the greatest
- 18:38of these is love.
- 18:44Psalm 37:1-11.
- 18:47Fret not yourself because of evildoers,
- 18:50neither be envious against the workers of iniquity; for
- 18:55they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither
- 18:59as the green herb. Trust in the Lord and
- 19:04do good, so shall you dwell in the land, and verily
- 19:07you shall be fed. Delight yourself also in
- 19:11the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your
- 19:15heart. Commit your way to the Lord,
- 19:19trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.
- 19:23And He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light,
- 19:27and your judgment as the noonday.
- 19:30Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for him.
- 19:34Fret not yourself because of him who prospers in his way,
- 19:38because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass.
- 19:42Cease from anger and forsake wrath.
- 19:46Do not fret yourself in any wise to do evil,
- 19:49for evildoers shall be cut off, but those that wait upon
- 19:53the Lord They shall inherit the earth.
- 19:57For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be. Yes,
- 20:00you shall diligently consider his place, and it shall not
- 20:04be. But the meek shall inherit the earth
- 20:08and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
- 20:16Proverbs 21:23-24.
- 20:20Whoso keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps his soul from
- 20:23troubles. Proud and haughty scorner is his
- 20:27name who deals in proud wrath.
- 20:31I want to speak to you today from our reading from Psalm
- 20:3537, and then I want to also touch on what we
- 20:39read from 1 Corinthians chapter 13.
- 20:43And let's begin with Psalm 37 and The principle here that
- 20:47we're going to unpack is what is our focus?
- 20:52What is our priority and our focus?
- 20:55So in Psalm 37, it begins with an
- 21:00exhortation: Fret not because of evildoers,
- 21:04neither be envious against the workers of iniquity,
- 21:08for they shall soon be cut down like the grass and wither as
- 21:12the green herb. So if ever
- 21:15you've been in the presence of evildoers,
- 21:19perhaps coworkers at work or family members,
- 21:23and there's just
- 21:26an evil spirit there, maybe a spirit of selfishness or pride
- 21:31or narcissism, or, or just however
- 21:36it is that they are behaving in such a way that it just rubs your
- 21:40fur wrong, Maybe they're sending fiery darts your way.
- 21:45Maybe they're looking down on you in arrogance and in pride.
- 21:49Maybe they're giving you put-downs. Whatever it might be,
- 21:53when you're in the presence of evildoers,
- 21:56it can really be very trying.
- 22:00And this is saying don't be envious against them.
- 22:04And often it seems like when you look around in the world
- 22:07that the evil people are prospering. And it's the meek and
- 22:12the humble, the broken, those who are
- 22:15followers of Christ who are going through great trials and
- 22:19difficulties, and it seems like the wicked are prospering.
- 22:23So in verse 2, he's basically reminding
- 22:28us of what their ultimate fate will be. They will be cut
- 22:32down like the grass. So though they may seem to be in their
- 22:35little castle enjoying themselves. They're the king of the mountain,
- 22:39and they have all this wealth and comfort,
- 22:44um, and position, that they are like grass
- 22:47and they will be cut down. And then in verse 3,
- 22:51here's the pivot.
- 22:54Instead of focusing on the evildoers around you,
- 22:58God is showing us instead to put our eyes on the Lord.
- 23:02Put our eyes on the Lord. Don't look to the left, don't look to the
- 23:06right, don't look at what that co-worker is doing or what that family
- 23:10member is doing to exclude you, to cancel
- 23:14you, to, you know, put you down, to gossip about you, whatever it might
- 23:19be. Put your focus on the Lord. Verse 3,
- 23:22trust in the Lord and do good, so shall
- 23:26you dwell in the land, and verily you shall be fed.
- 23:31And so he goes from trust in the Lord to the next verse in verse
- 23:344, delight yourself also in the Lord and
- 23:38He will give you the desires of your heart.
- 23:42So basically he's done a big pivot and
- 23:46instead of looking at the workers of iniquity around him,
- 23:50he's saying don't look around, look up, look up. Look to
- 23:54Me. Look to Jesus, and there you will find
- 23:58rest for your soul. And as you delight yourself in
- 24:02Him, He's going to bless you and give
- 24:05you the desires of your heart.
- 24:10Now I want to look at 1 Corinthians chapter 13, and it's
- 24:14the great love passage.
- 24:18And basically what he's saying, it's again, it's all about priority.
- 24:22We have all the gifts of the Spirit. We have the gift of healing and
- 24:26the gift of faith, the gift of prophecy.
- 24:30But this is really all about character— the
- 24:35mind and the heart and the character of Jesus Christ. In heaven,
- 24:39the language of heaven is love.
- 24:43Everything about heaven, the whole atmosphere, is saturated with
- 24:47love. It's in the air. It's in the
- 24:51spirit. It's in every living being.
- 24:55This love just pours out like a
- 24:59river, like a waterfall. And so what he's
- 25:02saying here in chapter 13, verse 1, even if
- 25:07I speak with tongues of men and angels, but I don't have love, I'm just
- 25:11a sounding brass or a tinkling cymbal.
- 25:15It goes on and makes a comparison. If I have the gift of prophecy and
- 25:19understand all mysteries and knowledge, and I can have faith
- 25:23that I can move mountains, but I don't have love,
- 25:27I am nothing. And though I bestow
- 25:31all of my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to
- 25:34be burned and have not love, it profits me nothing. So he's saying
- 25:39the most important thing to pursue and
- 25:43to do and to seek after is to love.
- 25:48That's the most important thing. That's the Mount Everest.
- 25:53And sometimes, beloved, that is not easy to do.
- 25:58We're commanded to love our enemies.
- 26:01It's easy to love those who love us back.
- 26:05It's easy to love someone that you're madly in love with who loves
- 26:08you back. Or your newborn baby that you're holding
- 26:12in your arms, easy to love. But loving our enemies,
- 26:16that's tough. Loving someone who treats
- 26:21you badly, who cancels you,
- 26:25who is rude to you or disrespectful to you,
- 26:31that's tough. Now, I'm not saying that we should be
- 26:35any kind of a doormat or
- 26:39or be a target or sit around and take gaslighting. Um,
- 26:43but we are to forgive our enemies and
- 26:47we are to love them. And what does that look like?
- 26:51Well, let's continue on. Love suffers long
- 26:55and is kind. It does not envy. Love does
- 26:59not puff itself up. It does
- 27:03not behave unseemly. It rejoices not
- 27:07in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth.
- 27:10It bears all things.
- 27:14Love bears all things. It believes all things and
- 27:18hopes all things and endures all things.
- 27:23So this
- 27:27is something that we can apply. And do.
- 27:31Maybe you're in some kind of a difficult relationship with somebody— a co-worker,
- 27:35a family member, a spouse— and maybe they're
- 27:39this difficult person that does not treat you kindly,
- 27:42does not value you, ignores you,
- 27:46or is disrespectful or rude. Whatever it might be,
- 27:51love bears all things,
- 27:54believes all things, hopes all things, endures All
- 27:59things. Okay, so somebody has just thrown demonic
- 28:03slime at you. Somebody has just thrown a fiery dart
- 28:07at you. So what do
- 28:11we do? We go away to our prayer closet. We ask the Lord
- 28:14to remove the fiery dart. We ask Him to give us a spiritual shower to
- 28:18wash off the demonic slime and the mud that got thrown,
- 28:23to cleanse us on the inside. We process our
- 28:26feelings, and of course, you know, we may be hurt by those things
- 28:30that were said or done to us, and we bring that to the
- 28:34Lord in our closet of prayer. And once we've asked
- 28:38Him to bring healing to our own heart,
- 28:41then we can begin to pray for that person because
- 28:45that person who behaves so badly, they're very,
- 28:48very lost and in the dark. Lost people don't
- 28:52have the love of God in them.
- 28:55They are incapable of loving.
- 28:59They are cold, and they have stony hearts.
- 29:03And so part of, I believe, what the Lord
- 29:07would show us is we need to catch the Lord's
- 29:11heart for that lost person and understand
- 29:16and think about how— what their ultimate fate is, that if they don't repent,
- 29:20And if they don't ask Jesus into their heart, they're going to
- 29:24end up in an eternity of hell,
- 29:28forever separated from God.
- 29:31And rather than be mad or
- 29:35angry or hurt with that person,
- 29:38we need to have a broken heart for that person because their soul
- 29:43is in danger of hell. And pray and intercede
- 29:48for that person, that they would come to know Christ,
- 29:52that God would orchestrate in a way that they would hear
- 29:56the Holy Spirit, the beckoning, the calling, the invitation to
- 30:00come to know Jesus as their personal Savior.
- 30:07Father, may we walk in your love,
- 30:12May we be loving people.
- 30:17May we die to our pride, our need to
- 30:21be right. May we walk
- 30:25in grace, extreme grace,
- 30:28extravagant forgiveness, and extraordinary love,
- 30:32especially toward our enemies. May we
- 30:37demonstrate your love in a practical, tangible way May
- 30:41we not cancel others, even though
- 30:44we may have been canceled in this cancel culture that we
- 30:49live in. But may we continue to extend the hand
- 30:53of fellowship, and may we
- 30:57be kind and gentle and
- 31:01loving even to our enemies. Help us
- 31:05to do that. It's a supernatural thing. It's not something that we can do in
- 31:09our own self and our own efforts, our own flesh.
- 31:12It's only by Your Spirit that we can walk in that level
- 31:16of agape love. We ask that You would help us
- 31:20with that, Lord. In Jesus' name,
- 31:24amen.
