- 0:00The 28th edition of the Water, Energy, Technology
- 0:03and Environment exhibition runs from the 20th
- 0:07to the 22nd of October 2026 at the Dubai World
- 0:11Trade Centre, organised by the Dubai Electricity
- 0:15and Water Authority. It brings together construction,
- 0:19infrastructure development, engineering services,
- 0:23sustainability, energy, water and digital transformation.
- 0:29And that focus is critical. The United Nations
- 0:32Environment Program reports that the buildings
- 0:35and construction sector accounts for around 37
- 0:38% of global carbon dioxide emissions and nearly
- 0:4250 % of global material extraction. This edition
- 0:46highlights low -carbon materials, smart buildings,
- 0:50district cooling, digital construction, and resilient
- 0:54infrastructure. His Excellency Saeed Mohammed
- 0:59Al -Tayyar, Managing Director and Chief Executive
- 1:02Officer of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority,
- 1:06founder and chairman of the Water, Energy, Technology
- 1:11and Environment Exhibition, said, The ability
- 1:14to build sustainable and resilient cities is
- 1:18linked to turning innovation into investment
- 1:20decisions and viable projects that deliver sustainable
- 1:24value throughout the asset lifecycle. Dubai recognised
- 1:29early on that developing the cities of the future
- 1:32requires a vision that goes beyond a project's
- 1:35efficiency at the time of construction. to encompass
- 1:39its ability to maintain performance, adapt and
- 1:43preserve its reliability and economic value in
- 1:47a rapidly changing environment. Through the Water,
- 1:51Energy, Technology and Environment exhibition,
- 1:54we work to accelerate the transition of promising
- 1:57solutions from development and experimentation
- 2:00to large -scale implementation. while creating
- 2:05opportunities to forge significant partnerships,
- 2:08develop pioneering business models and attract
- 2:12major investments that support this transformation
- 2:15and strengthen integration between environmental,
- 2:19economic and operational priorities. We believe
- 2:24that the most competitive cities of the future
- 2:26will be those that develop infrastructure capable
- 2:29of responding to change. and creating sustainable
- 2:33value for society, the economy and future generations.
- 2:38His vision is backed by measurable results. District
- 2:43cooling can reduce cooling energy consumption
- 2:45by up to 50 % compared with conventional systems.
- 2:49While digital twins, building information modeling,
- 2:53artificial intelligence, drones and connected
- 2:57sensors enable real -time monitoring, early risk
- 3:00detection, and predictive maintenance. The platform
- 3:04is already significant. The 2026 edition carries
- 3:08that momentum, supporting the transition from
- 3:11standalone sustainability solutions to integrated
- 3:15urban ecosystems, better prepared for the future.
