- 0:15Speaker 1: Saving Serial Data and Serial Sisters. You'll be addicted and addicted.

- 0:23Speaker 1: Listen in, listen up.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Woo, woo.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Heather MacDonald. Juicy Scoop. Hello and welcome to Juicy Scoop.
- 0:32Speaker 1: I have a great interview. We're going to get to
- 0:34Speaker 1: that in a bit, but I had to give you
- 0:37Speaker 1: some updates on some things. And just like that, season
- 0:42Speaker 1: three of Just Like That and Just Like That has premiered.
- 0:47Speaker 1: And I did some posts about it. I did a
- 0:50Speaker 1: Patreon about it. It's important that I talk to everyone
- 0:55Speaker 1: because I've had more time to think about it. Um,
- 0:59Speaker 1: I don't care if you're not going to watch the show.
- 1:01Speaker 1: I'm going to cover it. I am never going to
- 1:03Speaker 1: not cover And Just Like That. And so if you
- 1:07Speaker 1: have not seen it, skip for a few minutes because
- 1:10Speaker 1: I'm going to spoil the opening episode, which was so
- 1:17Speaker 1: weird and boring. Okay, there's like way too many kid stories.
- 1:21Speaker 1: But Miranda's lesbian journey is something that is saving the show.
- 1:27Speaker 1: It is what really, I feel like she's carrying the
- 1:30Speaker 1: show on her back. I mean, whether it was the
- 1:32Speaker 1: Che Diaz situation, I can't, it's, thank God, because now
- 1:38Speaker 1: we have Rosie O'Donnell come and she's at a bar, Miranda,
- 1:43Speaker 1: trying to, you know, trolling for pee. Okay. Just looking
- 1:47Speaker 1: for a hot girl with a vagina and no one's
- 1:51Speaker 1: paying attention to her and she's drinking her mocktails and
- 1:55Speaker 1: Carrie and Charlotte come with her and they're just like,
- 1:59Speaker 1: we'll find you. And Charlotte's like, ooh, I think that
- 2:03Speaker 1: girl likes you.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Look at her.
- 2:05Speaker 1: And she's like, and then Carrie will do like one
- 2:08Speaker 1: of her like weird little things like, hmm, well, it's
- 2:11Speaker 1: a lady bar. You know, just trying to say something funny.
- 2:15Speaker 1: And Miranda's just like, oh, I don't know. This is hard.
- 2:20Speaker 1: So then anyway, Rosie O'Donnell walks up to her And
- 2:24Speaker 1: she's like, you're so pretty. And Miranda's like, thanks. And
- 2:29Speaker 1: then Rosie O'Donnell says, I've got a hotel room. Do
- 2:33Speaker 1: you want to go with me? Miranda's like, yeah, I do.
- 2:36Speaker 1: I'm like, wait a minute. This is a Harvard educated
- 2:40Speaker 1: 55 year old attorney. You are just going home with
- 2:44Speaker 1: a complete stranger. I mean, I know there's more serial
- 2:47Speaker 1: killers that are men than women, but there's enough. And
- 2:51Speaker 1: you don't know this girl at all. You haven't like
- 2:54Speaker 1: even talked all night, nothing. They end up in bed.
- 2:58Speaker 1: And then Rosie O'Donnell reveals that not only is she
- 3:01Speaker 1: a virgin, she hasn't been with men or women, but
- 3:05Speaker 1: she's a nun. And I made Drake watch it. I
- 3:10Speaker 1: didn't tell him what was coming. He had to watch it.
- 3:13Speaker 1: And he saw the nun part and he goes, what?
- 3:16Speaker 1: Who's writing this? You know what? I don't know. But
- 3:21Speaker 1: that storyline kept my interest. What didn't keep my interest
- 3:24Speaker 1: was Charlotte's dog situation and her dog walker and her
- 3:29Speaker 1: doggy daycare. Totally boring. This other girl, I don't even
- 3:34Speaker 1: know what her name is in the show, but Nicole Parker,
- 3:37Speaker 1: I think is the name of the actress. Her whole family,
- 3:40Speaker 1: her husband's running for like a government, like an election,
- 3:46Speaker 1: like something. Who cares? He's like, I want to be cool.
- 3:49Speaker 1: No one cares about that. And then the girl that
- 3:55Speaker 1: is Kim Cattrall's replacement, Seema, who's a chain smoking realtor
- 4:02Speaker 1: who is smoking in bed and burns off her hair
- 4:06Speaker 1: and almost dies in a fire. Her story is a
- 4:10Speaker 1: little bit more fun as a new person, a little
- 4:13Speaker 1: bit more fun.
- 4:15Speaker 3: They think you're done for the day, but they don't
- 4:17Speaker 3: know about the drawer. The drawer. Just the one square
- 4:23Speaker 3: before bed. Or two, you know. Nobody's watching.
- 4:29Speaker 1: You deserve a treat.
- 4:34Speaker 3: With eight flavours to choose from, you can choose the
- 4:36Speaker 3: flavour you favour with Cadbury Dairy Milk.
- 4:45Speaker 1: So crazy outfits, like Carrie's wearing this like strawberry shortcake
- 4:52Speaker 1: bonnet on her head to go just get an ice cream.
- 4:55Speaker 1: But you know what? That is what we want to see.
- 4:57Speaker 1: If you just had her wearing like sweats to get
- 5:01Speaker 1: an ice cream, we wouldn't be talking about it. And
- 5:03Speaker 1: as weird as the show is, as corny as it is,
- 5:05Speaker 1: I am watching it. However, I miss when she was
- 5:11Speaker 1: a podcaster. And her co-host was Che Diaz and Bobby Lee,
- 5:18Speaker 1: the comedian. And her the and then Bobby Lee revealed
- 5:23Speaker 1: that he'd been sleeping with the network executive of the podcast,
- 5:27Speaker 1: who was this like tyrant in a wheelchair. And I
- 5:31Speaker 1: was like, wait, what? And then I was like, and
- 5:34Speaker 1: then she was pregnant. Like then then this really did
- 5:38Speaker 1: happen in the show. Then the girl who was running the.
- 5:42Speaker 1: podcast that had slept with Bobby Lee was then pregnant
- 5:46Speaker 1: and they never addressed who the father was or whatever.
- 5:50Speaker 1: And then Carrie didn't want to do an ad about
- 5:53Speaker 1: her vagina and the whole network shut down and everybody
- 5:56Speaker 1: had to take their box of staplers, like you need
- 5:59Speaker 1: staplers at a podcast network, and had to leave. Those
- 6:03Speaker 1: were the times that I was like, oh my God,
- 6:06Speaker 1: but that'll never come back because now she's going back
- 6:09Speaker 1: to writing. She's not even going to mention a podcast
- 6:11Speaker 1: that Who knows? But that's what's happening in it. And
- 6:18Speaker 1: I hope that Rosie O'Donnell stays. I hope that she
- 6:21Speaker 1: brings Miranda to church. That's what I want to happen.
- 6:25Speaker 1: I need that storyline too. But then they were like,
- 6:29Speaker 1: because they did all the puns. And so Carrie was like, oh,
- 6:34Speaker 1: holy sister touristy or whatever. Because her character was also
- 6:39Speaker 1: a New York tourist and wanted to go to Times Square.
- 6:42Speaker 1: So they were like really mean about that. So they
- 6:44Speaker 1: were just like teasing her like she was the biggest,
- 6:46Speaker 1: dorkiest nun that like Miranda just couldn't shake. But it
- 6:51Speaker 1: did kind of remind me of the old Sex and
- 6:53Speaker 1: the Cities where they would go on dates and meet
- 6:56Speaker 1: a weird guy. It would all be like one episode
- 6:59Speaker 1: of just like one weird dating adventure with like some
- 7:02Speaker 1: guy's kink. So instead of that, the kink is a
- 7:07Speaker 1: nun who's a virgin. you know, and let me get
- 7:10Speaker 1: to see it. It's 2025. That's life people. Okay. Um,
- 7:15Speaker 1: also Jojo Siwa, uh, posted or her boyfriend. Yes. Jojo
- 7:22Speaker 1: Siwa is officially has come out and is with Chris Hughes,
- 7:28Speaker 1: who is a straight guy that she met on big
- 7:31Speaker 1: brother who was on love Island. They have come out
- 7:35Speaker 1: and they, um, did a photo of them cuddling what
- 7:38Speaker 1: appears to be naked in a bed, just like Miranda
- 7:42Speaker 1: and Rosie O'Donnell. And they're cuddling together. And she says,
- 7:48Speaker 1: you know, it's not platonic anymore. And I just think
- 7:52Speaker 1: this is amazing because it is another one of my
- 7:56Speaker 1: predictions that have come true that I said this generation
- 8:00Speaker 1: will be a generation that when in finding their true sexuality,
- 8:05Speaker 1: will experiment with same-sex partners first and then may end
- 8:10Speaker 1: up in a heterosexual relationship, which in the past, if
- 8:15Speaker 1: you didn't come out originally as gay, oftentimes people would
- 8:19Speaker 1: get married young in a heterosexual marriage and then come
- 8:22Speaker 1: out later because they couldn't come out. But now I'm like, wow,
- 8:26Speaker 1: this is kind of interesting. Also during Pride Month, Also interesting. Also,
- 8:31Speaker 1: she just made such a big deal. Like she was
- 8:33Speaker 1: so like, I'm gay as fuck. Guess I'm still in
- 8:36Speaker 1: my exes. Okay. So anyway, I think it's great. Maybe
- 8:40Speaker 1: she's bi. Maybe she's not. Maybe she's just trying D
- 8:43Speaker 1: out for a month. I don't know. Good for her.
- 8:47Speaker 1: It's juicy. Also really interesting. Okay. This is, you guys
- 8:53Speaker 1: remember the beautiful girl, Chelsea? She was on Selling Sunset.
- 8:59Speaker 1: She was from London. She was a realtor in Manhattan Beach,
- 9:04Speaker 1: and she fit in with all the girls because she
- 9:07Speaker 1: would wear the chicest, most tiny, tiny, tiny outfits, and
- 9:11Speaker 1: she could pull it off because she was extremely thin, extremely,
- 9:16Speaker 1: extremely thin. Anyway, I followed her, and I started to
- 9:20Speaker 1: see that She is doing all these food videos of
- 9:26Speaker 1: her cooking, much like that, like a Ballerina Farms person
- 9:32Speaker 1: or that other girl that's the other one that, I
- 9:35Speaker 1: forgot her name, the other girl that's like a gorgeous
- 9:38Speaker 1: model who like is like, my kids were tired and
- 9:41Speaker 1: I decided they would perk up if I made them
- 9:44Speaker 1: homemade blueberry scones. So I started with this. So she's
- 9:47Speaker 1: kind of doing like that. But she's like eating. She's
- 9:50Speaker 1: doing a lot of videos where she's just looking gorgeous
- 9:53Speaker 1: and like eating chicken wings. And it gets like 96,000 likes.
- 9:56Speaker 1: So I'm like, what's going on?
- 10:00Speaker 3: On?
- 10:00Speaker 1: And she has, her body has changed because of her diet.
- 10:05Speaker 1: She looks amazing because she's gorgeous. But I, again, it's
- 10:12Speaker 1: kind of interesting because all we are seeing in the
- 10:16Speaker 1: world of Ozempic and JLP1s and all that is that
- 10:21Speaker 1: people are making dramatic transformations as, and becoming thinner and smaller.
- 10:27Speaker 1: And she is going a more curvy route. And she
- 10:31Speaker 1: was always so thin before, but she's, you know, in
- 10:35Speaker 1: the show, we see that her husband cheated on her.
- 10:36Speaker 1: I'm like, maybe she's just like, oh my God, I
- 10:39Speaker 1: have been denying myself delicious food my entire life as
- 10:44Speaker 1: I was pursuing modeling and marrying this a-hole and, I
- 10:48Speaker 1: want some fucking chicken wings and I still look amazing.
- 10:51Speaker 1: I still look gorgeous, which she does. And anyway, yeah,
- 10:57Speaker 1: I'm like, I just was like, wow, we don't normally
- 11:00Speaker 1: see that unless it's like for a movie role. And
- 11:03Speaker 1: she's just like loving life and good for her. I
- 11:08Speaker 1: remember I one time was talking to this woman in
- 11:10Speaker 1: the Hamptons and she was very thin and she was like,
- 11:13Speaker 1: I don't know, 65 years old and Herve Leger was, dress,
- 11:19Speaker 1: flat as stomach. Okay. And I'm like, how have you
- 11:24Speaker 1: maintained your figure all these years? Like you're at these
- 11:26Speaker 1: lavish parties. Like I just, I mean, how? And she
- 11:30Speaker 1: just goes, I've been starving for 65 years. And I'm like, yeah.
- 11:35Speaker 1: So Chelsea was probably starving too. Good for her. Okay.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Little update on the Diddy trial. It's awful. It's horrible things.
- 11:44Speaker 1: There's an assistant on the stand that was on Friday
- 11:48Speaker 1: and she's on Monday and saying that she was essayed
- 11:52Speaker 1: by Diddy, all these awful things that happened, spaghetti thrown
- 11:56Speaker 1: at her, terrified. But one thing she said was Diddy
- 12:01Speaker 1: would get high for important board meetings, but also one
- 12:04Speaker 1: time he was intoxicated or high when he came on
- 12:08Speaker 1: Chelsea Lately. So people sent me the video. They've pulled
- 12:12Speaker 1: up the Chelsea Lately video from the archives. I remember
- 12:16Speaker 1: when P. Diddy came. He was one of the very,
- 12:20Speaker 1: very few people that were like very late. He was
- 12:23Speaker 1: very late. He was like well over like an hour
- 12:26Speaker 1: or so late. And he was a big get. Like
- 12:29Speaker 1: we were excited to have him. That was a big name.
- 12:32Speaker 1: And as more time passed, you know, what I recall
- 12:36Speaker 1: is that they were just going to pull it. She
- 12:38Speaker 1: was just like, I am not waiting around. We never
- 12:40Speaker 1: were late to start. If you've ever gone to a
- 12:42Speaker 1: taping of our show back in the day, we never
- 12:44Speaker 1: started late. We were always on time. So, you know, it,
- 12:47Speaker 1: it wasn't something that we were used to or that
- 12:49Speaker 1: we wanted, but watching the clip. Yes. And I do
- 12:53Speaker 1: remember that it was weird and everything, but I didn't
- 12:55Speaker 1: necessarily think that he was like wasted. I just thought, yeah, whatever.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Maybe he had a drink, but that was just kind
- 13:02Speaker 1: of an interesting thing that came out of it. Also,
- 13:07Speaker 1: Ray J, this is from the Neighborhood Talk. Ray J
- 13:11Speaker 1: did this interview, or I don't know if this is
- 13:13Speaker 1: a stream or what, where he is talking about Suge Knight,
- 13:18Speaker 1: where Suge Knight essayed men and women. And he is
- 13:24Speaker 1: getting so graphic and just telling the story like, you know, no,
- 13:30Speaker 1: it wasn't Diddy. It was Suge Knight that was like
- 13:33Speaker 1: taking everyone's manhood or whatever. And I'm like, what? I
- 13:37Speaker 1: just couldn't believe that this is like happening. And then
- 13:40Speaker 1: he gets into like, yeah, I was talking about Suge Knight.
- 13:45Speaker 1: I never talked badly about P.
- 13:47Speaker 4: Diddy.
- 13:47Speaker 1: And I can't believe I got in a fight with
- 13:49Speaker 1: his sons. They didn't understand that I was not dissing
- 13:52Speaker 1: their dad. I was talking about Suge Knight. And then
- 13:56Speaker 1: Amber Rose comes on and she says like, yeah, that's
- 14:00Speaker 1: the story I know. And what do you think's happening now?
- 14:03Speaker 1: with him in prison. And then like TMZ and all
- 14:05Speaker 1: these people are doing interviews with Suge Knight in prison.
- 14:08Speaker 1: And this is all going on while the Dini trial
- 14:11Speaker 1: is coming out and people debating if the prosecution's doing
- 14:14Speaker 1: good enough job to get them on the racketeering. Do
- 14:16Speaker 1: these people really want to be there? And then these
- 14:19Speaker 1: women pour out their heart on the stand and they
- 14:21Speaker 1: say the most horrible things. And then they bring up
- 14:24Speaker 1: the fact that like, maybe they texted them, you know,
- 14:28Speaker 1: after they were no longer working there, just to be like, hey,
- 14:31Speaker 1: Merry Christmas or something. I don't know. It's a lot,
- 14:35Speaker 1: and I'm just bringing up the juicy parts of it
- 14:39Speaker 1: because otherwise this is too dark and depressing. Okay, one
- 14:44Speaker 1: more thing about Karen Reid, and then we're going to
- 14:46Speaker 1: get to our interview. Okay, this guy, Jared Mural, he
- 14:53Speaker 1: is doing videos talking about the Karen Reid case. And
- 14:59Speaker 1: one thing he did himself, this is not something that
- 15:03Speaker 1: was in the trial, but it's amazing. He pulled up
- 15:07Speaker 1: the autopsy picture of the victim, John O'Keefe, of his
- 15:12Speaker 1: skull and where there was, you know, something that happened
- 15:18Speaker 1: to his skull. OK, so they think it's because she
- 15:21Speaker 1: hit him with her car and then he hit the
- 15:23Speaker 1: back of his head. And then, of course, the defense
- 15:26Speaker 1: thinks he went into the house and there was a
- 15:29Speaker 1: confrontation in which he had had trauma there that caused.
- 15:33Speaker 1: So what this guy has matched up with the X-ray
- 15:41Speaker 1: of the autopsy video picture of the victim was He
- 15:50Speaker 1: thinks that one of the shapes of this wound on
- 15:53Speaker 1: the head, this unique shape, is from a weight that
- 15:58Speaker 1: he realized was photographed in that basement weight room at
- 16:05Speaker 1: the Elberts' house. So his theory is they were down there.
- 16:10Speaker 1: That's also where maybe the dog was who maybe then
- 16:13Speaker 1: leapt and was scratching or trying to break up whatever
- 16:17Speaker 1: fight happened. His theory is someone in that house, they
- 16:21Speaker 1: got in a fight with John O'Keefe, grabbed this like
- 16:24Speaker 1: free weight that you would put on like a barbell
- 16:26Speaker 1: that is photographed from the photos in the house, hit
- 16:32Speaker 1: him on the head with that. And then there was
- 16:35Speaker 1: another weird shape that he couldn't figure out why that
- 16:40Speaker 1: would be indented in his skull. And he realized it's
- 16:46Speaker 1: the metal part of like a baseball cap that John
- 16:49Speaker 1: was wearing. So he might've been wearing the hat and
- 16:52Speaker 1: then the weight hit him in the head in a fight,
- 16:56Speaker 1: leaving also the indentation of this little metal part on
- 16:59Speaker 1: the back of a baseball cap. I mean, I'm just
- 17:03Speaker 1: putting it out there. If someone doesn't know about this video,
- 17:07Speaker 1: get it to the defense because it was Jared Mural.
- 17:12Speaker 1: It was pretty darn... compelling of what could have happened. And,
- 17:20Speaker 1: you know, none of us are doctors, so someone else
- 17:22Speaker 1: could say, no, that's something else. But I thought that
- 17:25Speaker 1: was really interesting. So the prosecution on the Karen Reid
- 17:29Speaker 1: case has And now the defense is going to do
- 17:32Speaker 1: their whole thing, bring up all those witnesses, all the
- 17:38Speaker 1: Albert people, and then the prosecution will have another chance
- 17:42Speaker 1: to do a rebuttal to that. So there's still like
- 17:44Speaker 1: a long time to get through this case. All right,
- 17:48Speaker 1: you guys. Now I am so excited because we did
- 17:52Speaker 1: a great interview with the pop apologists and they know
- 17:56Speaker 1: all the juicy scoop on everything and we get into it.
- 17:58Speaker 1: So get ready for some pop culture fun.

- 18:35Speaker 2: Life is one long lesson of chaos. I'm heading to
- 18:38Speaker 2: the Emmys, and I have police complaints filed against me.
- 18:41Speaker 2: When your free will was about to be taken from you,
- 18:44Speaker 2: what would you do if it was given back?
- 18:46Speaker 6: Where did that need come from where you thought that
- 18:49Speaker 6: you had to succeed in order to feel loved?
- 18:51Speaker 2: He said, I have a work dad. I need a
- 18:53Speaker 2: home dad. What happens next?
- 18:54Speaker 1: When I came in, he started crying.
- 18:56Speaker 2: Everybody in life encounters hardships.
- 18:59Speaker 6: What defines them is not those hard moments that they
- 19:02Speaker 6: go through.
- 19:03Speaker 2: It's about what happens next. I decided to risk it all.
- 19:06Speaker 2: I realized how valuable every day was. You're worth the work. Listen, Dara,
- 19:10Speaker 2: I'm not going to pull punches. You can use your
- 19:12Speaker 2: voice even if it's shaped.
- 19:13Speaker 6: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 19:17Speaker 6: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 19:27Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome to Juicy Scoop. So much to get into.
- 19:31Speaker 1: I'm very excited to have new guests. They are podcasters themselves,
- 19:36Speaker 1: and they are sisters, which I love. They are known
- 19:39Speaker 1: as pop apologists. Welcome to Juicy Scoop. We've got Lauren,
- 19:44Speaker 1: the older sister, but not by much, and you wouldn't
- 19:46Speaker 1: be able to tell because they're both gorgeous blondes with
- 19:48Speaker 1: just the most perfect P complexion. And Chandler, welcome. And
- 19:53Speaker 1: you guys are doing great. I love that you like
- 19:55Speaker 1: do deep, deep dives in pop culture stuff. And we
- 20:01Speaker 1: know how you met because you're sisters. But like, Give
- 20:04Speaker 1: us just a little background on where you got to
- 20:07Speaker 1: it and building your business and all that, working together. Okay.
- 20:11Speaker 4: So this actually kind of ties back to you a
- 20:14Speaker 4: little bit because I remember where I was when you
- 20:17Speaker 4: announced you were going to twice a week.
- 20:18Speaker 2: She's a super fan.
- 20:20Speaker 4: And I remember the joy it brought me.
- 20:22Speaker 2: It felt like Christmas morning as an adult.
- 20:24Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 20:25Speaker 4: I feel like I had a moment at school where
- 20:28Speaker 4: I thought this would be so fun to do. And
- 20:30Speaker 4: also if I could like make people as happy as
- 20:32Speaker 4: your show made me like 10 years ago, I would
- 20:36Speaker 4: just have been so thrilled.
- 20:37Speaker 2: So we started the show at BYU, a Mormon college.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Oh, really? We did.
- 20:41Speaker 2: But then our parents caught wind of it and it
- 20:44Speaker 2: was kind of R-rated.
- 20:45Speaker 1: So wait, you were doing the podcast how many years ago?
- 20:48Speaker 6: Okay.
- 20:49Speaker 2: So basically.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Or like a YouTube?
- 20:50Speaker 2: In 2016, we recorded a few episodes. 10 episodes. 10 episodes.
- 20:54Speaker 4: Oh.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Like.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Remember when Orlando Bloom had those nudes?
- 20:57Speaker 4: Yes.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Well, we had things to say about them.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:59Speaker 4: So we released a couple episodes. And but our so
- 21:04Speaker 4: our parents are very Mormon. They found out about this.
- 21:07Speaker 4: Like they found out about the podcast and that it
- 21:09Speaker 4: was PG-13 slash R-rated. And they said, you have 24
- 21:14Speaker 4: hours to take down the podcast or else we're going
- 21:17Speaker 4: to cut you off from the phone bill.
- 21:19Speaker 2: And $ 60 a month to us at the time was
- 21:20Speaker 2: like not something we were willing to risk.
- 21:22Speaker 1: So how many school grades were you guys apart?
- 21:25Speaker 2: Well, I was five.
- 21:26Speaker 4: I was a little, thanks Chandler. I was a little
- 21:29Speaker 4: late to getting in the game of life. And so
- 21:32Speaker 4: Chandler and I were at college at the same time.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Okay, great. I love that.
- 21:36Speaker 2: It was the best.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Did you live together? We did.
- 21:38Speaker 2: We shared a bed.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:40Speaker 7: Oh, really?
- 21:41Speaker 1: I love it. I lived with my sister too. Okay.
- 21:45Speaker 1: So when I got out of college, undergraduate USC, she
- 21:51Speaker 1: had just finished like law school or a little bit
- 21:53Speaker 1: after that. And I needed a roommate and she needed
- 21:56Speaker 1: a room. So we had like a few years together
- 21:58Speaker 1: where we lived like in Brentwood in LA and different
- 22:01Speaker 1: apartments and stuff. And it was so, it was, it's
- 22:04Speaker 1: so great. If you get along with your sister, it
- 22:06Speaker 1: is so great to live as young adults. together. It's like,
- 22:10Speaker 1: I mean, back then you had an actual phone and
- 22:13Speaker 1: a phone bill and it's like, we didn't have to
- 22:15Speaker 1: split stuff. We didn't have to, you know, it was
- 22:16Speaker 1: just like, we just paid part of the rent and
- 22:18Speaker 1: the rest just like worked out. And so there was
- 22:20Speaker 1: not all the weird roommate stuff that I'd had in
- 22:22Speaker 1: the past. So I love that you guys are so close.
- 22:25Speaker 1: I can relate to that.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 22:27Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:27Speaker 4: We, um, so we, we are super close and we cut,
- 22:31Speaker 4: you know, we quit the podcast immediately because we couldn't
- 22:33Speaker 4: lose a 60 bucks a month.
- 22:34Speaker 2: And then we were like, we'll scrub.
- 22:36Speaker 1: The internet of it. Not a problem.
- 22:38Speaker 2: We hate it.
- 22:38Speaker 1: We don't, we'll never do this again. Did you call
- 22:39Speaker 1: it Papa Paul just back then? Yes. Same logo.
- 22:42Speaker 4: And so what's funny about it is now I just
- 22:44Speaker 4: look back because we restarted in 2020 once we were
- 22:46Speaker 4: financially free. And I just look back, if we had
- 22:49Speaker 4: continued in 2016 when not everyone and their mother and
- 22:53Speaker 4: aunt had a podcast, it would have been an easier road, perhaps.
- 22:56Speaker 4: But anyway, we restarted in 2020. And yeah, we have
- 23:00Speaker 4: just been going for about five years now. And it's
- 23:03Speaker 4: been really fun. It's a very, very hard job. And
- 23:07Speaker 4: so I just have to say, I have so much
- 23:08Speaker 4: respect for what you do. Because to do it by
- 23:11Speaker 4: yourself and to have so much recall... it just takes
- 23:14Speaker 4: a really, really smart brain. So I don't think people
- 23:16Speaker 4: like really understand how smart you have to be to
- 23:19Speaker 4: do what you do.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Very nice. That's not the only reason I had you
- 23:22Speaker 1: on the show is to compliment me, but no, it's
- 23:25Speaker 1: a specific skill. I see why, I understand why it's
- 23:28Speaker 1: like all in my feed is just people sitting down
- 23:31Speaker 1: and having conversations and a lot of them are talking
- 23:33Speaker 1: about the same subjects and And I can see why,
- 23:36Speaker 1: you know, I actually think now this is like the
- 23:38Speaker 1: new rich woman thing to do. It's like instead of
- 23:41Speaker 1: being a pop star and hiring someone to like make
- 23:44Speaker 1: you music or whatever, now it's like I'll just have
- 23:47Speaker 1: my own talk show that I'll put on and I'll
- 23:49Speaker 1: hire the right people and we'll get the right set
- 23:52Speaker 1: and we'll just talk about, you know, the stuff. And
- 23:55Speaker 1: so sometimes I watch it and I'm like, oh, my God.
- 23:58Speaker 1: But then I realize, no. It doesn't matter what, even
- 24:02Speaker 1: though we're all talking about the same stuff, people have
- 24:04Speaker 1: different takes and you're kind of attracted to whatever the
- 24:07Speaker 1: person is. Like I have my favorite different podcasts, not
- 24:11Speaker 1: even in this genre, that I'll like, I could go
- 24:16Speaker 1: find something else when they're on a break, but I'm like, oh,
- 24:18Speaker 1: I'll just wait. Like I just, so I get it,
- 24:21Speaker 1: but I think it's great if it's something you really
- 24:23Speaker 1: love and you're really into it. But I do think
- 24:25Speaker 1: for many people, they do drop out of it because
- 24:28Speaker 1: they don't realize that that you get burnt out. Like,
- 24:31Speaker 1: you can get burnt out, for sure. Oh, yeah.
- 24:34Speaker 4: And I mean, just speaking transparently, you know, we'll be sisters,
- 24:37Speaker 4: you know, we're sisters, we'll be kind of maybe in
- 24:39Speaker 4: a little tiff, but then we gotta record.
- 24:41Speaker 2: So it's like, we gotta put a pause on our little,
- 24:43Speaker 2: you know, quarrel about whatever. And we gotta, like, you
- 24:46Speaker 2: have to bring the energy and, you know, it's a
- 24:50Speaker 2: tiring job. I'll ask, how long will Michelle Obama last podcasting?
- 24:54Speaker 2: That's my question.
- 24:56Speaker 4: Well.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Um, you know, again, brought the brother. I mean, it's like,
- 25:01Speaker 1: people are just like, who's the closest vicinity that like
- 25:04Speaker 1: needs a job that I can bring on, that I
- 25:05Speaker 1: can do something. And I think what happens is everyone
- 25:08Speaker 1: listens to it and they're like, well, I have an opinion.
- 25:10Speaker 1: I mean, I, that's me. I used to watch Oprah
- 25:12Speaker 1: and I'd be like, I thought like I would maybe
- 25:14Speaker 1: be like a producer on Oprah. Like I always loved that.
- 25:17Speaker 1: And then of course, then when I got Chelsea lately,
- 25:20Speaker 1: it was the topics and everything and just a transition
- 25:22Speaker 1: of just what I'm into. But like, um, No, I
- 25:26Speaker 1: think like anything she'll get, you know, if it doesn't,
- 25:30Speaker 1: if it's not consistent, I also say, I think it's
- 25:34Speaker 1: for big stars, it's reading the comments that you were
- 25:38Speaker 1: never aware of reading when you were doing movies or
- 25:42Speaker 1: something like that, because you think you have a great
- 25:45Speaker 1: episode and you go to your YouTube or whatever. And
- 25:49Speaker 1: someone's like, I hated this guest or, you know, you
- 25:52Speaker 1: did this or, you know, um, Heather mispronounced a word. Oh,
- 25:57Speaker 1: by the way, I said on my last week's episode,
- 26:00Speaker 1: I had Jessica Rothschild, who has a podcast about SoulCycle
- 26:05Speaker 1: in New York and the weirdness. And I said spinners.
- 26:09Speaker 1: And I thought spinners were girls that actually were little
- 26:12Speaker 1: tiny girls that did spin class. Yeah.
- 26:15Speaker 2: That's what I thought too.
- 26:17Speaker 1: But I also thought it was spinning on a deck.
- 26:19Speaker 1: I thought it was both. So people were like, Heather,
- 26:23Speaker 1: that's not what it is. It's that you're small enough
- 26:27Speaker 1: for a guy to like spin you around while you're
- 26:30Speaker 1: on him. And let's not have your parents listen to
- 26:33Speaker 1: this episode. And so a lot of people were sending
- 26:37Speaker 1: me definitions and everything. And so I like being corrected.
- 26:39Speaker 1: I'm like, you know, because I said, oh, Patty Stanger.
- 26:41Speaker 1: When Patty Stanger would talk about spinners, I did think
- 26:44Speaker 1: she meant little fitness girls on spinner bikes. I did
- 26:47Speaker 1: not know. And that was a guy's type. I did
- 26:49Speaker 1: not think that she was talking about the sexual thing.
- 26:52Speaker 1: But anyway, so but getting back to I think sometimes
- 26:56Speaker 1: with people. besides running out of stories, running out of guests.
- 27:01Speaker 1: And now when everybody also has a podcast, it's going
- 27:03Speaker 1: to be harder to get your best friends to do
- 27:06Speaker 1: your show. So you got to be able to hold
- 27:08Speaker 1: it on your own. And then I also just think it's,
- 27:11Speaker 1: it's reading the criticism and just being like, Oh, fuck
- 27:13Speaker 1: you guys. You know, like, like, you know, even though
- 27:16Speaker 1: 95% of your people love you or aren't going to
- 27:20Speaker 1: write at all. It's like, you just feel like, Oh
- 27:22Speaker 1: my God, I'm being, I'm reading these comments. I'm being bashed.
- 27:25Speaker 1: And I think for a lot of people that have
- 27:27Speaker 1: the luxury of not needing to do it, then, you know,
- 27:31Speaker 1: then it falls along the wayside.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Well, it's also the content machine that you have to feed.
- 27:35Speaker 2: It's like, you know, Michelle Obama's got to get her
- 27:37Speaker 2: three reels up, you know, with her promos from the episodes.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Just like, Michelle, you got to post those. Right.
- 27:42Speaker 1: And just, right. But they have these huge teams, you know,
- 27:46Speaker 1: and that's the other thing is like, yeah, for anybody else,
- 27:48Speaker 1: even people at a level of success, it's still a
- 27:50Speaker 1: lot on, at least for me, it's a lot on me.
- 27:52Speaker 1: I understand other people have, and they can just leave
- 27:55Speaker 1: and walk away. But like, I, Um, but anyway, let's
- 27:58Speaker 1: get into, because I want to talk about Mormon and
- 28:00Speaker 1: then I also want to talk about some other juicy things,
- 28:02Speaker 1: Meghan Markle. And so let's talk a little bit about
- 28:05Speaker 1: your Mormon life, raising, being raised and what is your,
- 28:10Speaker 1: what did you think? Did you know about mom, mom,
- 28:13Speaker 1: tick tock, or were you, did you just like, how
- 28:16Speaker 1: did you discover it before the show came? secret lives
- 28:20Speaker 1: of Mormon wives. Yeah.
- 28:21Speaker 4: So we had a highlight reel on our Instagram called
- 28:24Speaker 4: cringe talk and it was all of the girls dancing.
- 28:26Speaker 4: We just thought it was so embarrassing. We kind of
- 28:28Speaker 4: making fun of them because we just thought it was
- 28:29Speaker 4: so cringe. So it was actually shocking to us to
- 28:33Speaker 4: have the show come out and kind of, kind of
- 28:35Speaker 4: fall in love with a lot of them and find
- 28:37Speaker 4: them to be so delightful and funny.
- 28:39Speaker 2: Um, but no, we, yeah, we saw them on Tik
- 28:41Speaker 2: TOK before who the.
- 28:42Speaker 4: Hulu show and little did we know that we would
- 28:45Speaker 4: just fall in love with Taylor, Frankie Paul as well.
- 28:47Speaker 2: Who on camera is just so much more likable, I think,
- 28:50Speaker 2: than on TikTok.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:52Speaker 4: I mean, and I think just to go back to
- 28:53Speaker 4: like our Mormon background, I knew that there were swingers
- 28:56Speaker 4: in Utah.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Like I'd heard those rumors. I'm not a swinger.
- 28:59Speaker 1: And they were the soft swinger or full-blown swing?
- 29:02Speaker 2: I knew about full-blown swinging.
- 29:03Speaker 4: I knew about like you put the pineapple in your
- 29:05Speaker 4: grocery cart to signal to other people at the grocery
- 29:07Speaker 4: store that you are interested. You put it on, you know,
- 29:10Speaker 4: all the pineapple paraphernalia.
- 29:12Speaker 1: Right. Right.
- 29:12Speaker 4: I knew about that in Utah, but I.
- 29:17Speaker 2: Didn't realize how young it was, I think.
- 29:19Speaker 4: It was like all these younger couples were doing it,
- 29:21Speaker 4: but we were actually, so we're from, we're not from Utah.
- 29:24Speaker 4: We were like born and raised in Orange County.
- 29:26Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 29:27Speaker 2: Yeah. But we went to school in Utah, to BYU.
- 29:30Speaker 1: Oh, but you went to like high school and everything
- 29:32Speaker 1: in Orange County.
- 29:32Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, public school.
- 29:34Speaker 1: And was it hard, were you friends with people that
- 29:37Speaker 1: didn't go to the church or like was it a
- 29:40Speaker 1: weird thing to explain what your religion was to friends
- 29:42Speaker 1: that weren't Mormon?
- 29:43Speaker 4: I feel like even in Southern California, it was pretty known.
- 29:47Speaker 4: So it wasn't weird to explain it. I honestly, I
- 29:50Speaker 4: personally was not super into it from very young, like,
- 29:53Speaker 4: 13 years old.
- 29:54Speaker 2: It was just like, hey, not for me. I will attend,
- 29:56Speaker 2: but it's not for me.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Is there, like, levels of Mormonism, like, Um, you know,
- 30:01Speaker 1: like how there's, you know, the three levels of Judaism,
- 30:03Speaker 1: like conservative reform or Orthodox, like Orthodox being the most
- 30:08Speaker 1: strict about what you wear and your hair and all that.
- 30:11Speaker 1: Is there like that? Like there's the ones where you,
- 30:13Speaker 1: the garments and this and that. And then there's ones
- 30:15Speaker 1: where you're just like, I don't drink. I occasionally have
- 30:19Speaker 1: a diet Coke, but I love the church and I
- 30:21Speaker 1: go and I pray to God. And like, is there
- 30:23Speaker 1: like that level? Cause then we have that, like, it's
- 30:26Speaker 1: called cafeteria Catholics.
- 30:27Speaker 4: Right.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Where you just sort of pick and choose, like maybe
- 30:30Speaker 1: you use birth control, but you go to church. Yeah.
- 30:32Speaker 1: Identify as Catholic, but like not every rule you'd follow.
- 30:36Speaker 4: There's nothing, I would say there's no formal language like
- 30:39Speaker 4: for anything like that. I would say most people who
- 30:41Speaker 4: are Mormon are devout, following all of the rules.
- 30:44Speaker 1: So did you ever have the underwear?
- 30:46Speaker 2: No, but that we never were, we never advanced to
- 30:48Speaker 2: that level because we both left the church before doing that.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Oh. But like.
- 30:52Speaker 2: You know, we weren't—I wasn't— So what's the underwear?
- 30:54Speaker 1: It's only when you're married?
- 30:55Speaker 2: It's one— yeah, basically you go through the temple.
- 30:57Speaker 6: Okay.
- 30:58Speaker 4: And you do that either before you serve a mission,
- 31:00Speaker 4: you know, if you're a boy or a girl, or
- 31:01Speaker 4: before you get married in the temple. You have to,
- 31:03Speaker 4: like— it' s like this higher level of, like, a promise with God,
- 31:06Speaker 4: and that's when you get your garments.
- 31:08Speaker 2: But we never did that. Like, Lauren left when she
- 31:10Speaker 2: was 13. I left, you know, mentally when.
- 31:13Speaker 1: I was 17. And had your parents let you just
- 31:14Speaker 1: not go to church on Sunday?
- 31:15Speaker 2: No, I had to go, but I.
- 31:17Speaker 4: Just couldn't—I just didn't want to— Mormonism is such an
- 31:20Speaker 4: intense religion to be raised in. And so you're constantly
- 31:22Speaker 4: speaking in the language of it, even at home. So
- 31:24Speaker 4: it'd be like, oh, does Heavenly Father want you to
- 31:25Speaker 4: wear that tank top? And so I'd constantly have to
- 31:28Speaker 4: like reaffirm belief in the system. And so I felt
- 31:30Speaker 4: like I was lying all the time. So I just
- 31:32Speaker 4: had to like sit my parents down and say, I
- 31:34Speaker 4: don't actually believe this is true, but I will attend.
- 31:37Speaker 4: I just can't like keep speaking in the language of
- 31:39Speaker 4: it anymore. You have to know, like, you know, I
- 31:42Speaker 4: have to live with some integrity here. And so that was,
- 31:45Speaker 4: that was my situation. And Lauren and I shared a
- 31:48Speaker 4: Jack and Jill bathroom. I was very believing until I was,
- 31:50Speaker 4: until I wasn't when I was 17. And I just
- 31:52Speaker 4: remember like, knowing that Lauren didn't believe and kind of
- 31:55Speaker 4: being like afraid of her, just like, oh, like, I
- 31:57Speaker 4: don't want to get too, too close.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Are you the only kids?
- 32:01Speaker 2: No, there's six kids.
- 32:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 32:02Speaker 1: Oh, so what numbers are you?
- 32:03Speaker 2: So five and you're three.
- 32:06Speaker 6: Okay.
- 32:06Speaker 1: Where's Four? What's she up to?
- 32:08Speaker 4: Four is our brother. He lives in New York as well. Actually,
- 32:12Speaker 4: so there's six kids.
- 32:14Speaker 2: Only one is still practicing Mormon.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 32:16Speaker 2: It's our youngest sibling.
- 32:18Speaker 1: And that's who's getting all the inheritance?
- 32:20Speaker 2: Basically, yeah. That's who got the Volvo. That's who got the, exactly,
- 32:24Speaker 2: the nice Volvo, the nice car.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. Okay, so tell me what you, like,
- 32:29Speaker 1: so what are you thinking of the show? Did you know,
- 32:31Speaker 1: do you, besides following them on TikTok before they became,
- 32:35Speaker 1: I mean, the show is really, blown up this season.
- 32:39Speaker 1: It's very juicy. I've talked to someone about it. All
- 32:43Speaker 1: the marriages are ending. They're on second, third marriages. They
- 32:46Speaker 1: talk about the full-blown swinging that they've done, where it's like...
- 32:51Speaker 1: I mean, that one scene where Taylor, Frankie, Paul... like
- 32:55Speaker 1: goes to the confessional and corrects the front and was like, oh,
- 32:58Speaker 1: it wasn't just kissing. We were screwing our husbands next
- 33:02Speaker 1: to each other on a bed. All four of us
- 33:03Speaker 1: were in a shower together. You and I dry humped
- 33:06Speaker 1: each other and other husbands that weren't ours were also
- 33:09Speaker 1: videotaping it. I was like, I have to like go
- 33:11Speaker 1: back and like watch it again. And I'm like, I
- 33:14Speaker 1: guess at this point you got nothing to lose. You've
- 33:17Speaker 1: already showed your life to the world. You might as
- 33:20Speaker 1: well just say it all and ride this wave. Because
- 33:25Speaker 1: there's no point in keeping any secrets. But it's like
- 33:30Speaker 1: crazy because I'm like, now, are any of those girls
- 33:33Speaker 1: showing up on Sunday after everyone at the church binged
- 33:37Speaker 1: the Hulu show? Like, how weird is that?
- 33:40Speaker 2: So some of them definitely are.
- 33:42Speaker 4: And I think that's one magical piece of the show
- 33:45Speaker 4: is that half of them are really trying to actually
- 33:47Speaker 4: be active Mormons, even though they've dabbled in some things
- 33:50Speaker 4: that they wish they hadn't. I feel like when it
- 33:53Speaker 4: comes to mom talk, I feel like the part of
- 33:57Speaker 4: it that maybe people don't know is that in Utah,
- 34:01Speaker 4: it's way more common to kind of be maybe like
- 34:04Speaker 4: a cafeteria Catholic type Mormon because.
- 34:06Speaker 2: Everyone around you is Mormon. So your boss is Mormon.
- 34:09Speaker 2: Your family's Mormon. To leave it, I think, is such
- 34:11Speaker 2: a bigger deal in the community.
- 34:13Speaker 1: Got it.
- 34:13Speaker 4: So there's so many more people who kind of just
- 34:16Speaker 4: go on Sundays but then do what they want on
- 34:18Speaker 4: their off time.
- 34:20Speaker 1: Because they don't want to be ostracized by fully leaving. Yeah, exactly,
- 34:23Speaker 1: from the entire community.
- 34:24Speaker 7: Right.
- 34:25Speaker 4: Yeah, and I feel like when it comes to the
- 34:29Speaker 4: swinging and all of that, I mean, there's just nothing
- 34:30Speaker 4: in the Book of Mormon where it talks about swinging.
- 34:33Speaker 4: So God did not have any specific guidelines about showering
- 34:37Speaker 4: with other couples.
- 34:38Speaker 2: There's no hard and fast rules in the scriptures.
- 34:40Speaker 1: But then where does the having several wives come from?
- 34:43Speaker 1: I know that's not part of Mormonism, but at one time,
- 34:46Speaker 1: way back when, it was. Why did... the church say,
- 34:51Speaker 1: we no longer think this is what God wanted?
- 34:54Speaker 4: I think because they were under a lot of pressure
- 34:58Speaker 4: from the government, from the government, essentially, to quit this practice.
- 35:03Speaker 4: What they will say, you know, in Mormonism, it's termed
- 35:07Speaker 4: as like a revelation. That happened to the prophet at
- 35:10Speaker 4: the time. But I think it was actually just at
- 35:12Speaker 4: the time there was Mormons were heavily persecuted for this
- 35:15Speaker 4: practice because it was really like it was tearing up
- 35:17Speaker 4: communities and really bad for women.
- 35:18Speaker 1: And when did when did that happen?
- 35:20Speaker 4: I think like after Brigham Young, after like the second
- 35:23Speaker 4: prophet of the church.
- 35:24Speaker 1: But like what year? Like 1800s. Oh, OK. 1900s.
- 35:27Speaker 2: Like not definitely not recently.
- 35:30Speaker 1: OK. OK.
- 35:31Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 35:31Speaker 1: OK. I get it. So this was kind of juicy.
- 35:35Speaker 1: This just popped up. about the girls. So Jessie, who's
- 35:42Speaker 1: the oldest of the group, she's the hairdresser and has
- 35:46Speaker 1: the money because she actually has a successful business. She
- 35:50Speaker 1: calls out the fact that Demi's older husband, she says,
- 35:56Speaker 1: a 47-year-old washed-up loser who can't hold a job and
- 36:00Speaker 1: asked my husband, this is what Jessie's writing, and I
- 36:03Speaker 1: for 10 grand just a few months ago so he
- 36:06Speaker 1: could pay the bills. So they're in a beef, even
- 36:09Speaker 1: though they look exactly alike. And they were friends at
- 36:13Speaker 1: one point. And it sounds to me like the beef
- 36:16Speaker 1: comes down to that Marciano, who since looks like he's
- 36:20Speaker 1: been on the Ozempic. Because he looks way thinner than
- 36:23Speaker 1: he was sweating in the Italian villa. But he was
- 36:26Speaker 1: the one that was flirting with Demi. Then, so there
- 36:31Speaker 1: was an illusion that there was, they were alluding that
- 36:33Speaker 1: there was something going on with them. I heard from
- 36:37Speaker 1: my guests that they had each other's locations, but so
- 36:40Speaker 1: does Sheena Shea. Okay. So whatever. I don't know what
- 36:43Speaker 1: that is about. Whatever. But she said, no, nothing happened.
- 36:49Speaker 1: But yes, they would FaceTime each other. Now it turns out,
- 36:53Speaker 1: according to Sheena Shea, that it was Jesse and they
- 36:57Speaker 1: all hung out one night in L.A. doing press. And
- 37:00Speaker 1: Jesse and he, it appears... He had to spend the
- 37:05Speaker 1: night in her hotel room because it just got too late.
- 37:09Speaker 2: There's no Ubers.
- 37:10Speaker 1: And he didn't feel like paying for another room. And
- 37:13Speaker 1: she had a little pull-out couch. But she's also now
- 37:17Speaker 1: separated from her husband.
- 37:18Speaker 2: Oh, she is separated from her husband now.
- 37:19Speaker 1: Or she says, we're trying something out.
- 37:23Speaker 2: I think she said it's tricky or something. It's tricky.
- 37:26Speaker 1: It's complicated, yeah.
- 37:27Speaker 2: Well, first of all, this guy is not attractive.
- 37:30Speaker 1: No.
- 37:30Speaker 2: And he's not worth throwing it all away for.
- 37:32Speaker 6: I mean, he is.
- 37:33Speaker 1: The less attractive, less interesting Jax Taylor.
- 37:37Speaker 2: Like by a thousand.
- 37:38Speaker 1: And I've said they have the same voice. And I
- 37:41Speaker 1: feel like he and the pretty blonde girl who I
- 37:44Speaker 1: had on my show, who they were born for a
- 37:45Speaker 1: girlfriend back in Vegas. I feel like that was, oh
- 37:48Speaker 1: my God, we found our Stassi and Jax, like build
- 37:50Speaker 1: the show around. But yeah. Ew.
- 37:54Speaker 2: So what you see on, so can I spoil something?
- 37:57Speaker 7: Yes, please.
- 37:58Speaker 1: Okay.
- 37:59Speaker 2: So in the very last episode.
- 38:00Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 38:01Speaker 1: Layla. The girl who's divorced, who has new tits and
- 38:04Speaker 1: dating not a cute guy.
- 38:06Speaker 2: Yes, who's still working on the orgasm.
- 38:07Speaker 1: Yes.
- 38:10Speaker 4: She meets up with him at like a ski resort.
- 38:12Speaker 4: He happens to be in Deer Valley.
- 38:13Speaker 1: She meets up with Marciano.
- 38:15Speaker 4: From Vanderpump Villa. To get to the bottom of, you know,
- 38:18Speaker 4: what happened.
- 38:19Speaker 1: She's an investigator now. Yes.
- 38:21Speaker 2: And he basically says, you know, it was never Demi,
- 38:26Speaker 2: it was Jesse.
- 38:27Speaker 4: And he says that the affair has continued. And that's
- 38:30Speaker 4: like the way the season ends.
- 38:31Speaker 1: Oh. Yeah.
- 38:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it's pretty juicy. Good for them.
- 38:35Speaker 1: Good for them for actually fucking and for giving us
- 38:40Speaker 1: what we want, which is when you watch these shows,
- 38:43Speaker 1: you want to see marriages fall apart.
- 38:45Speaker 3: Sorry.
- 38:46Speaker 1: It's horrible. Though I think the valley is getting a
- 38:48Speaker 1: little too much for me. But yeah, I mean, it
- 38:50Speaker 1: is juicy. So but it's it's like crazy.
- 38:54Speaker 4: To Chandler and I talk about how it's so similar
- 38:57Speaker 4: to Vanderpump Rules when it first began in that it's
- 39:00Speaker 4: really messy.
- 39:01Speaker 1: Right.
- 39:01Speaker 4: It's showing these people who are cheating on each other,
- 39:04Speaker 4: who have these these lives that are falling apart. But
- 39:06Speaker 4: with Mormon wives, they also are married with three children.
- 39:09Speaker 4: And it's just like the stakes are so much higher.
- 39:12Speaker 4: And so I actually think it's even better because it's
- 39:14Speaker 4: not like, oh, will they get engaged or not?
- 39:17Speaker 2: It's like, what is she going to do, you know?
- 39:19Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 39:19Speaker 1: And then they're also hooked into being famous, making easy
- 39:23Speaker 1: money from this, you know, influencer world. And then these
- 39:27Speaker 1: other chicks with their long locks. they're trying to get
- 39:31Speaker 1: in and they're like, I don't, we don't want to
- 39:33Speaker 1: share the pie with them. What was the story that
- 39:36Speaker 1: I heard, Henson, that somehow Demi wanted to get rid
- 39:40Speaker 1: of Jesse, like cut her out of it so there'd
- 39:42Speaker 1: be more in the pie and they would make more
- 39:45Speaker 1: money per person? What is that?
- 39:47Speaker 4: What we heard or what we saw on the show
- 39:49Speaker 4: is that she basically said to, you know, Hulu producers
- 39:53Speaker 4: or whatever, you know, kick Jesse off and give me
- 39:56Speaker 4: more money because I'm the star.
- 39:58Speaker 2: You know, I'm the fan favorite.
- 40:00Speaker 1: And how did they find that out?
- 40:01Speaker 4: Well, Jesse, I guess, got on this call and that's
- 40:04Speaker 4: where she heard, I think, Brett, Demi's husband, kind of saying,
- 40:07Speaker 4: you know, give Demi more money.
- 40:10Speaker 1: Right?
- 40:11Speaker 4: Well, yeah, Brett was demanding more money. And he said,
- 40:14Speaker 4: we're all gonna walk if we don't get more money.
- 40:16Speaker 4: And Jessie, I guess, was not prepped before she got
- 40:18Speaker 4: on the call that they had all kind of decided
- 40:20Speaker 4: to band together. And so she said- All the TikTok moms. Yeah,
- 40:23Speaker 4: and so she said, I'm not gonna walk. And then,
- 40:25Speaker 4: so I think that's what Demi was willing to throw
- 40:27Speaker 4: her under the bus and have her off the show
- 40:29Speaker 4: so that they could get, so that- Well, I.
- 40:31Speaker 1: Wanna say, smart, Demi. Yeah. Like, pull of friends. I mean,
- 40:37Speaker 1: we know you're not making any money. We know that
- 40:39Speaker 1: you're like, you know, the show is a huge hit.
- 40:43Speaker 1: There are no residuals. You certainly can pay these people
- 40:46Speaker 1: a few thousand more an episode, and Hulu's not going
- 40:50Speaker 1: to go under.
- 40:51Speaker 2: It's their number one show on Hulu.
- 40:53Speaker 1: So, yeah, you do have to band together. Otherwise, you
- 40:55Speaker 1: will just be making a 4% raise like that your
- 40:59Speaker 1: original contract says. So, like, good for them.
- 41:02Speaker 2: Well, Jessie's also a millionaire. Like, she doesn't need the money. She's, like, super, like.
- 41:07Speaker 1: Low off. Yeah, because of her hairline.
- 41:09Speaker 4: Yeah, well, and then we find out in the season
- 41:11Speaker 4: that— What? Demi said to Taylor, hey, don't go to
- 41:15Speaker 4: her salon. She's actually not that great at hair color
- 41:17Speaker 4: or something. She was like, I don't know about, you know,
- 41:19Speaker 4: Jay-Z styles.
- 41:20Speaker 2: And we find this out like in the second to
- 41:22Speaker 2: last episode that Demi said that behind Jesse's back. It's
- 41:25Speaker 2: a huge drama. Huge drama. That was like, don't go
- 41:27Speaker 2: get your hair done there. Do you feel like you're
- 41:29Speaker 2: losing brain cells hearing about this show?
- 41:31Speaker 1: No, no, I'm not. No, I feel like, I feel
- 41:34Speaker 1: like it's fun. Like it is. It's, it's again, it's classic.
- 41:38Speaker 1: Like Shakespearean, but instead of Shakespeare, we have Housewives. It's
- 41:42Speaker 1: a classic storyline of tearing down another woman's business, revealing rumors.
- 41:50Speaker 1: So many times when I would read a description of
- 41:55Speaker 1: a real housewife story or a recap or something. It
- 41:58Speaker 1: reminds me of when I'd have to read Shakespeare and
- 42:02Speaker 1: we'd get these things called cliff notes. And the way
- 42:05Speaker 1: they would explain, and then this person wasn't aware and
- 42:07Speaker 1: they went into the garden. And what, you know, Romeo
- 42:11Speaker 1: really said was this, And then she ran over to
- 42:15Speaker 1: Othello and said that. And then that was the misconception,
- 42:19Speaker 1: which then caused him to kill this person. I mean,
- 42:22Speaker 1: it is like it's classic Shakespearean, but in the reality
- 42:25Speaker 1: world of like marriages, businesses, fame, like it's all the
- 42:29Speaker 1: same themes, but we have our own thing going and
- 42:32Speaker 1: it repeats and it shows itself. whether the women are
- 42:35Speaker 1: 50 or, you know, 28. Right.
- 42:37Speaker 2: And we like watching it over and over and over again.
- 42:40Speaker 1: It's amazing. Okay, let's talk about Meghan Markle because Meghan Markle,
- 42:46Speaker 1: I am fascinated by her. So thank you, Meghan. But
- 42:49Speaker 1: Meghan Markle, according to Daily Mail, hints that she may
- 42:52Speaker 1: never restock her sellout jam because she wants to step
- 42:55Speaker 1: back and assess the as-ever brand. This comes at her
- 43:01Speaker 1: final episode of Of the season of her podcast.
- 43:05Speaker 2: That was the last episode? I'm like, the final episode?
- 43:11Speaker 1: The final episode of a woman that talks about how
- 43:14Speaker 1: busy she is all the time working. And I'm like,
- 43:19Speaker 1: we already know that you did the other boring ass
- 43:22Speaker 1: podcast that paid you $ 20 million. Then the other network
- 43:26Speaker 1: comes and gives you this one, talking to a founder.
- 43:31Speaker 1: female founders or whatever the name of it is. I
- 43:32Speaker 1: don't even know. And again, it's just her talking to
- 43:36Speaker 1: other really rich women that, um, consider themselves business women
- 43:42Speaker 1: and are on about like how hard it is to
- 43:45Speaker 1: be a woman in a man's world. And it is like,
- 43:49Speaker 1: I just want to like, it's so archaic, like, you know,
- 43:54Speaker 1: I mean, my mom went to college in the 50s
- 43:58Speaker 1: because you could. And her dad was like, don't take
- 44:04Speaker 1: this scholarship at Catholic University to be an actress. Go
- 44:07Speaker 1: to Wisconsin. It's a big school. Be a journalist. Like,
- 44:10Speaker 1: have a real job. Like, whatever. And then she got
- 44:14Speaker 1: a whole other career in real estate. Like, I'm old.
- 44:18Speaker 1: We work. It is not, like, I just don't get
- 44:22Speaker 1: this whole idea of where it's like, Well, and then
- 44:26Speaker 1: that's what it is. There's so many cringing moments. And
- 44:28Speaker 1: I love that she has a podcast because she releases
- 44:30Speaker 1: the cringe. And of her being like, and, you know,
- 44:36Speaker 1: I was with Arch. And I was going to, he
- 44:40Speaker 1: likes to read stories. And I need to cherish that time.
- 44:44Speaker 1: And I laid in bed with him. And I cuddled
- 44:47Speaker 1: with him. Even though I had several business meetings in
- 44:51Speaker 1: the morning, I laid with him. when your child is four,
- 44:56Speaker 1: you lay with them. When your child is four, you
- 44:58Speaker 1: read them a book and dah, dah, dah, dah. And those,
- 45:01Speaker 1: and if you're a working mom, you're going to look
- 45:04Speaker 1: back and there's going to be a lot that you
- 45:05Speaker 1: don't totally remember on either end, but we're all doing it.
- 45:10Speaker 1: And it's like this idea. And then to act like,
- 45:12Speaker 1: and then I, I pick up my, my child and
- 45:15Speaker 1: I have to do the, um, the, the, the drop off.
- 45:18Speaker 1: And it's like from six 30 to nine 30. It's,
- 45:22Speaker 1: and then, We know that either it's he who's doing
- 45:26Speaker 1: it or the nannies or maybe someday she does it.
- 45:29Speaker 1: But it's this constant thing. And I'm like.
- 45:33Speaker 4: No, my grandma was a waitress from 14 to 77.
- 45:37Speaker 4: She had four kids.
- 45:39Speaker 2: Single mom. Ex-husband was an alcoholic.
- 45:41Speaker 1: Now was she Mormon?
- 45:42Speaker 2: No, not Mormon.
- 45:45Speaker 4: And she never congratulated herself for having a stable home
- 45:50Speaker 4: life for her children, just paying the bills, being a
- 45:52Speaker 4: great person.
- 45:53Speaker 2: I never heard the.
- 45:54Speaker 4: Level of self-congratulations out of her mouth. Megan, it is
- 45:58Speaker 4: so wild to hear her say, I saw that quote
- 46:01Speaker 4: where she said that Archie lost his tooth.
- 46:03Speaker 1: Oh, there was tooth for.
- 46:05Speaker 4: A long time. And she cuddled him all night, even
- 46:07Speaker 4: though she had meetings in the morning. And that's the
- 46:09Speaker 4: kind of thing that gives her more strength as a
- 46:11Speaker 4: boss and founder.
- 46:12Speaker 1: I'll tell you, through all the tooth fairy things, there
- 46:16Speaker 1: was a time where, like, I forgot to put the money,
- 46:19Speaker 1: you know, and then he's like, comes in and like,
- 46:22Speaker 1: where's my tooth? And I'm like, oh my gosh, wait,
- 46:25Speaker 1: let's look a little harder. And then like, I had
- 46:28Speaker 1: this money and I like slipped it under a pillow.
- 46:30Speaker 1: And then I was like, oh, it fell down. You know, like,
- 46:33Speaker 1: we all have those stories that it's fun, whatever. But,
- 46:36Speaker 1: you know, now we'll have to hear about everyone's life
- 46:40Speaker 1: on their podcast because we've I've created this nightmare for everybody, but, um, no,
- 46:44Speaker 1: but she, so, so anyway, I had said when I
- 46:47Speaker 1: heard what her show was going to be about interviewing
- 46:50Speaker 1: female entrepreneurs.
- 46:53Speaker 2: It's never been done before.
- 46:56Speaker 1: I'm like, Oh my God. And here we got the
- 46:58Speaker 1: Spanx girl. And sure enough, she had the Spanx girl
- 47:02Speaker 1: as her final episode. Um, and they are good friends
- 47:06Speaker 1: and they talked about, um, They talked about high heels. And,
- 47:12Speaker 1: you know, Megan has, you know, very small ankles and
- 47:16Speaker 1: she's 65 pounds with each child. And she had to
- 47:19Speaker 1: wear those heels with Archie because she was she was
- 47:23Speaker 1: the princess and she had to wear the pointy heels.
- 47:25Speaker 1: And it was so painful that she almost fell forward
- 47:29Speaker 1: in in her own face. And, you know, it's just
- 47:32Speaker 1: a horrible time for her. And thank God this Spanx
- 47:36Speaker 1: girl has made this thing called Sneaks. Now, this was
- 47:41Speaker 1: a year ago, so I think it was a total bomb,
- 47:43Speaker 1: and now she's doing another version of it. I mean,
- 47:45Speaker 1: those shoes. But it was a tennis shoe with a heel,
- 47:48Speaker 1: and it's hideous. And we have a shoe. It's, you know,
- 47:51Speaker 1: feels like a, looks like a shoe, and it feels like,
- 47:55Speaker 1: looks like a pump. Feels like a sneaker. Like that one,
- 47:58Speaker 1: we have all those comforting pumps.
- 48:00Speaker 2: If Megan was a good friend, she would have said, Sarah,
- 48:03Speaker 2: these shoes are ugly as shit. We're not discussing them
- 48:05Speaker 2: on my podcast.
- 48:06Speaker 1: I don't, this, I looked it up. I think they're,
- 48:09Speaker 1: I think she, this was a bomb that she did
- 48:12Speaker 1: because this is from CBS Morning and it was like
- 48:14Speaker 1: a year ago and I think now she's doing a
- 48:16Speaker 1: new version of it. I'm just saying this girl, God
- 48:20Speaker 1: love her. She did create Spanx. I will thank her forever.
- 48:23Speaker 1: I think she is a great entrepreneur. I'm just saying,
- 48:26Speaker 1: We've heard you on every show from Oprah to every
- 48:30Speaker 1: famous girl's podcast. I know your story about Spags. Well, and.
- 48:35Speaker 1: Can you just talk about if you're pissed about Skims?
- 48:38Speaker 1: Like if you're going to go on a show, go,
- 48:40Speaker 1: how do I really feel? Yeah, it pissed me off
- 48:43Speaker 1: the first time someone caught me copying me. It pissed
- 48:45Speaker 1: me off the 15th time.
- 48:46Speaker 2: Where were you when you saw Yummy Tummy? Where were you?
- 48:48Speaker 6: Yes, where were you?
- 48:50Speaker 1: Exactly. Was that Heather Holland? Jill Saron had like a
- 48:54Speaker 1: Spanx type line. And when people call it a Spanx type,
- 48:57Speaker 1: instead of whatever they normally, what's really like, you know.
- 49:00Speaker 2: Shapewear.
- 49:01Speaker 1: Shapewear. Bethany Frankel had shapewear. Like so many people have had,
- 49:06Speaker 1: you know, shapewear and tried to make it style. Oh,
- 49:08Speaker 1: we'll just add a little lace. And you can actually
- 49:10Speaker 1: wear your shapewear and have a show or have lace
- 49:13Speaker 1: at the end in case it shows. Yeah, you created it.
- 49:16Speaker 1: You're the one that had to wear white pants and cut.
- 49:20Speaker 1: the nylons in half. You're the one who did it, Sarah.
- 49:23Speaker 1: But I'm just saying, of course, and I'm just saying
- 49:26Speaker 1: I predicted that she'd have this person on her show,
- 49:28Speaker 1: and of course she didn't. And the series is over now,
- 49:31Speaker 1: you guys. It's over.
- 49:32Speaker 4: I mean, I'm so glad it's over because I didn't
- 49:34Speaker 4: want to hear another one of these stories. Everyone in
- 49:36Speaker 4: this room, like female founders, I don't want to hear
- 49:38Speaker 4: another fucking story about female founders.
- 49:40Speaker 2: I'm over it. I'm over it. Megan is literally like
- 49:43Speaker 2: chicken soup for like the feminist soul.
- 49:45Speaker 1: Do you remember those books? Yes.
- 49:46Speaker 2: That is literally the way she talks.
- 49:48Speaker 1: Yes. Right. Yes. And... Yeah, there was another moment.
- 49:56Speaker 2: The power of yes.
- 49:56Speaker 1: I want to say thank you for this episode because
- 49:59Speaker 1: they have put out 25 reels or other people have it.
- 50:01Speaker 1: It is giving. So thank you to what's her name?
- 50:05Speaker 7: Lima.
- 50:06Speaker 1: What's her name?
- 50:06Speaker 2: Jamie Kern Lima.
- 50:07Speaker 1: Yeah, Lima. And she's just so fascinated. And Megan says,
- 50:14Speaker 1: I changed the language for my kids. Because sometimes they say,
- 50:18Speaker 1: I can't reach it. And I go, you can't reach
- 50:20Speaker 1: it yet.
- 50:20Speaker 2: Yes.
- 50:22Speaker 1: Yes.
- 50:23Speaker 2: Yes.
- 50:25Speaker 1: You could just say yet with everything. Yeah, I can't
- 50:29Speaker 1: fit in this dress. Yes. Yes. I can't make an
- 50:34Speaker 1: attractive tennis shoe high heel. Yes. Yes.
- 50:40Speaker 4: No, I would like to meet a group of female
- 50:42Speaker 4: friends who actually speak to each other this way, who actually.
- 50:45Speaker 2: Talking platitudes, it's like they're auditioning.
- 50:48Speaker 4: It's like Megan is auditioning constantly for a future mother-in-law.
- 50:51Speaker 4: It's just how she's the perfect person in every way.
- 50:53Speaker 4: And every experience is just another life lesson.
- 50:56Speaker 1: It's like however you like talk shit.
- 50:58Speaker 6: Yes.
- 50:58Speaker 1: Yes. And it is just, I just am like, like
- 51:05Speaker 1: who wants to, who, are you telling me the girl
- 51:08Speaker 1: that's trying to get her Etsy store off the ground?
- 51:12Speaker 1: Wants to hear from the Spanx lady yet again. Like what? Right. Anyway,
- 51:18Speaker 1: I mean, whatever.
- 51:19Speaker 7: So.
- 51:21Speaker 1: She did her six episodes. Wow, she got through the series.
- 51:24Speaker 1: And especially doing all those morning calls while her kids
- 51:26Speaker 1: were in preschool. I don't know how she swung it.
- 51:28Speaker 4: Can I also just say, starting a podcast in 2025
- 51:31Speaker 4: that is audio only?
- 51:32Speaker 2: She wasn't even trying.
- 51:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 51:35Speaker 2: She wasn't even trying. If you're not on video, you're dead.
- 51:38Speaker 2: You don't exist as a podcaster. It's not a job.
- 51:40Speaker 1: Well, and then, you know, the original one is... it
- 51:43Speaker 1: was found out that she was sometimes not even interviewing them,
- 51:47Speaker 1: that not, they would, someone would ask them the questions
- 51:50Speaker 1: and then they would just put her in asking. And
- 51:54Speaker 1: I'm like, and people say, oh, I interrupt. I'm like,
- 51:56Speaker 1: I interrupt because I'm not on Zoom because you can't
- 51:59Speaker 1: interrupt when you're on Zoom because they, the set like
- 52:02Speaker 1: does it that way. And they're in person with me
- 52:05Speaker 1: and yeah, I interrupted. I'm really sorry. And I try hard, whatever,
- 52:08Speaker 1: who cares? Don't listen. But like, yeah, of course you're not,
- 52:11Speaker 1: no one's going to accuse you of interrupting when you're
- 52:13Speaker 1: literally not even doing the interview.
- 52:14Speaker 4: Well, none of these feel like real conversations. It's like
- 52:17Speaker 4: the most rehearsed, even this season of her podcast, the
- 52:20Speaker 4: new one, it all is the most like rehearsed.
- 52:23Speaker 2: Nothing about it feels truly real.
- 52:26Speaker 1: We don't know how many jams she put out, do we?
- 52:29Speaker 4: See, that's the thing is I'm so sick of hearing
- 52:31Speaker 4: about how it sold out in 45 minutes.
- 52:32Speaker 2: How many sold?
- 52:34Speaker 4: Because if there were 30 available, it was going to
- 52:36Speaker 4: sell out very quickly. Tell us how many units sold
- 52:39Speaker 4: and then we can become impressed.
- 52:40Speaker 1: And then she's like, I don't know if I'm even
- 52:42Speaker 1: going to restock it. I might just move on to fashion.
- 52:45Speaker 1: I think that'd be a great space for me. And
- 52:47Speaker 1: then she's like, and Netflix said they're going to, they
- 52:50Speaker 1: just said I should have a fashion line, but they
- 52:51Speaker 1: don't want to be a part of it. I'm like, yeah,
- 52:53Speaker 1: they want to end this fucking relationship. No, they don't
- 52:58Speaker 1: need to also sell. They're selling the Stranger Things t-shirts.
- 53:03Speaker 1: That's what they want to sell. They don't need to
- 53:04Speaker 1: sell your slacks that you could get at Zara. Like, whatever.
- 53:10Speaker 2: I don't find her style to be particularly inspiring. She
- 53:13Speaker 2: dresses well.
- 53:14Speaker 4: It's nice clothing, but I don't see her as a
- 53:17Speaker 4: fashion icon that I want to take inspiration from. She
- 53:19Speaker 4: dresses like a starter kit of how to look like
- 53:22Speaker 4: I'm a rich person.
- 53:23Speaker 2: It's like a beige cardigan.
- 53:25Speaker 1: Yes.
- 53:25Speaker 2: Slacks, you know.
- 53:27Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 53:27Speaker 2: It's grandma clothing. It also feels like it could be
- 53:29Speaker 2: from Ann Taylor.
- 53:30Speaker 1: Yes.
- 53:30Speaker 2: Like, I need a little bit more sexiness out of
- 53:33Speaker 2: her wardrobe, in my opinion.
- 53:34Speaker 1: Yes.
- 53:35Speaker 2: For such a sexy lady.
- 53:36Speaker 1: Yes.
- 53:37Speaker 2: She's not dressing sexy yet.
- 53:38Speaker 4: Yes.
- 53:39Speaker 2: I do have some insider scoop on Megan, if you
- 53:41Speaker 2: want to hear it.
- 53:42Speaker 1: So I said, no, actually, I want to respect her privacy.
- 53:46Speaker 1: So let's not talk about it. Go on. Yes.
- 53:49Speaker 2: OK, so I feel like I really liked Megan at first.
- 53:52Speaker 1: So did I.
- 53:52Speaker 2: And I thought a lot of us really did.
- 53:55Speaker 6: Right.
- 53:55Speaker 4: And we wanted to believe that she was going to
- 53:57Speaker 4: be this like she's going to add diversity to the
- 53:59Speaker 4: royal family, really be someone women of color in the
- 54:02Speaker 4: UK and in the Commonwealth could look up.
- 54:04Speaker 2: To all the things. An American princess. Yeah, it was
- 54:07Speaker 2: so cool. Also, she was older than him. She was divorced.
- 54:10Speaker 2: She just didn't fit the mold. And I think everyone
- 54:13Speaker 2: really liked her.
- 54:14Speaker 4: So it honestly has taken me a long time to
- 54:17Speaker 4: come to grips with the fact that the naysayers have
- 54:19Speaker 4: been true because every person I have come into contact
- 54:22Speaker 4: with who has had some tangential connection to her has
- 54:25Speaker 4: had such bad things to say. The one thing though
- 54:28Speaker 4: that stuck out to me was someone told me that
- 54:30Speaker 4: she's like, my friend worked for the PR firm that
- 54:34Speaker 4: Megan hired pre-Harry.
- 54:36Speaker 2: And their role was to make her more famous.
- 54:38Speaker 4: And it was also to set her up with eligible
- 54:41Speaker 4: men And so what this person's job was, was creating
- 54:44Speaker 4: the decks for when Meghan went to an event of
- 54:47Speaker 4: all of the rich and successful, powerful men. Which, honestly,
- 54:50Speaker 4: is smart. You know, like, get it, girl. Be, you know,
- 54:54Speaker 4: don't waste your time with a scrub.
- 54:56Speaker 1: Whatever.
- 54:57Speaker 4: But it just flies in the face of her Mother
- 54:59Speaker 4: Teresa act, which is just like she happened to fall
- 55:02Speaker 4: in love with a princess.
- 55:03Speaker 1: But I have one question. Is he kind? H.
- 55:08Speaker 2: Is he kind?
- 55:10Speaker 1: I've talked at nausea about the H and the M thing.
- 55:13Speaker 1: I'm like, you have a two-syllable name. It just makes
- 55:16Speaker 1: no sense why you don't call each other Harry and Meghan.
- 55:19Speaker 2: The laziness tracks with the level of output from these two, honestly.
- 55:24Speaker 1: I personally think that I love the idea of people
- 55:29Speaker 1: that that set out to like, I love like a
- 55:33Speaker 1: black widow story of like, I'm going to reinvent myself
- 55:37Speaker 1: and go to this town, like back in the day
- 55:40Speaker 1: when you could, like before the internet. Yeah. And just
- 55:44Speaker 1: weasel my way into like Dallas society and, you know,
- 55:48Speaker 1: change my hair color to red. And now I'm marrying,
- 55:51Speaker 1: you know, this man who's a widow and dah, dah, dah, dah.
- 55:54Speaker 1: Like I, I think it's like fascinating. Like I think
- 55:58Speaker 1: there's something so, kind of cool about that and why
- 56:02Speaker 1: not you've got the pr coming you're going you're like
- 56:03Speaker 1: who's single like who do you think she ever was
- 56:07Speaker 1: a yacht girl i don't know i feel like yacht
- 56:11Speaker 1: girl meaning just for the people at home yeah that
- 56:15Speaker 1: um and i think there's again different levels of yacht
- 56:17Speaker 1: girls there's hey do you know i've got a hookup
- 56:22Speaker 1: for a trip you're gonna come if you don't put out,
- 56:26Speaker 1: you'll never be asked back, but no one's going to
- 56:27Speaker 1: come in and, you know, have their way with you
- 56:30Speaker 1: if you don't want it. But you might be a
- 56:31Speaker 1: rich guy. You might fall in love. You might like, um,
- 56:34Speaker 1: whatever there's that level. And then there's, you're going to
- 56:37Speaker 1: be paid for your time. And then there's, you're going
- 56:40Speaker 1: to be shit upon in Dubai. Like there's three different levels,
- 56:43Speaker 1: just like three different levels of Catholicism.
- 56:45Speaker 2: I'm just kidding.
- 56:46Speaker 1: But, um, but yeah, so I think, yeah. Do I
- 56:49Speaker 1: think that she ran around in circles in, in like
- 56:51Speaker 1: wealthy circles?
- 56:52Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 56:52Speaker 1: But I don't think she was ever like, we're like
- 56:56Speaker 1: actually getting paid a lump sum to be with somebody.
- 57:00Speaker 1: I don't believe that.
- 57:01Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 57:01Speaker 4: There's a, there's like a circle of the internet and
- 57:03Speaker 4: I feel like it's, it's in the same, if the
- 57:05Speaker 4: Venn diagram, the Venn diagram of, of the people who
- 57:09Speaker 4: espouse this theory, it's a, it's a circle with the
- 57:12Speaker 4: people who are like messaging me on, I feel like
- 57:14Speaker 4: I got messages on Facebook and Instagram during COVID that
- 57:16Speaker 4: were like, the vaccines actually have fetuses inside of them.
- 57:20Speaker 2: Do not put it inside your body.
- 57:21Speaker 4: It's like these fringe conspiracy theorists, I think, definitely think
- 57:25Speaker 4: Meghan was this yacht girl.
- 57:27Speaker 2: And it's part of like that whole group.
- 57:29Speaker 4: I mean, maybe she was if they were watching, you know,
- 57:32Speaker 4: Disney movies on the yachts. Because, you know, she says
- 57:35Speaker 4: that when her and Harry got together.
- 57:38Speaker 1: Her and H.
- 57:39Speaker 2: Her and H, that they just watched Disney movies at
- 57:41Speaker 2: the palace.
- 57:43Speaker 1: Yes. Like about princesses?
- 57:47Speaker 2: Jasmine, I don't know.
- 57:48Speaker 1: I mean, I personally don't think that he's very smart.
- 57:52Speaker 1: I think he's kind of a simple guy that happened
- 57:54Speaker 1: to be a prince. Yeah.
- 57:55Speaker 2: She's the Chris to his Bruce, for sure.
- 57:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 57:58Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 57:58Speaker 2: And he needs her. She has the vision.
- 58:00Speaker 1: Well, now he has got no way of making money.
- 58:02Speaker 1: And now they're in Montecito. So you better keep this going.
- 58:05Speaker 1: You better figure out what kind of slacks you're going
- 58:07Speaker 1: to sell on TikTok next year. And you better start
- 58:11Speaker 1: making another jam. But I think she realized jam is
- 58:15Speaker 1: an awful idea. Yeah. Like, why don't I just go
- 58:17Speaker 1: to Ollie Bobby or whatever that place is, like, like,
- 58:21Speaker 1: Whitney Rose and just sell some things I think are cute. Yeah.
- 58:25Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 58:25Speaker 1: Like, why don't I and why don't I just have
- 58:27Speaker 1: someone set up a podcast where I just ask a
- 58:30Speaker 1: couple questions and sit back? Like, of course, these... All
- 58:35Speaker 1: those are easier than also learning a bunch of lines
- 58:38Speaker 1: and acting again and being on set for 14 hours
- 58:41Speaker 1: and having to drive all the way to Universal from Montecito.
- 58:43Speaker 1: It is easier to do a podcast. It's easier to
- 58:46Speaker 1: act like you're cooking in a kitchen. It's easier to
- 58:48Speaker 1: pretend that you.
- 58:51Speaker 1: Boiled the raspberries.
- 58:52Speaker 2: Who cares?
- 58:53Speaker 4: Don't you think, though, people are going to get fatigued
- 58:55Speaker 4: with all of her products? I feel like people bought
- 58:57Speaker 4: the jam for the novelty.
- 58:58Speaker 1: Just to say I had one. If I was able
- 59:00Speaker 1: to get one, I would absolutely never have opened it.
- 59:03Speaker 1: I would have made a content with it. I would
- 59:04Speaker 1: have kept it as, like, again, like a novelty. Like,
- 59:07Speaker 1: you know, when like Coca-Cola created that can for a minute,
- 59:10Speaker 1: new Coke or whatever, like you're like, Oh, remember that
- 59:12Speaker 1: weird thing that like happened and then went away. Like
- 59:14Speaker 1: you're just, yeah.
- 59:15Speaker 4: It's going to end up in like the Marshall's food section.
- 59:18Speaker 2: You know what I'm talking about?
- 59:20Speaker 4: Like how TJ Maxx or Marshall's will have those like
- 59:22Speaker 4: novelty food items.
- 59:24Speaker 1: With Bethany Franklin Bologna.
- 59:25Speaker 6: Literally.
- 59:25Speaker 1: Literally.
- 59:26Speaker 2: With her mixers.
- 59:27Speaker 1: Sandwich meats. Yep, yep.
- 59:28Speaker 2: Everything is going to be in Marshall's food section.
- 59:30Speaker 1: Oh, my God. With the diamond water. Remember the diamond water?
- 59:34Speaker 1: What was that girl's name? Asha or whatever her name was.
- 59:37Speaker 2: She was from Shaw's.
- 59:38Speaker 1: Yeah, Asante or Asha. Asha? I can't remember. Anyway, I remember.
- 59:43Speaker 1: Talk about a scam. And the black water that was
- 59:46Speaker 1: the Manzo boys. Do you remember black water from New Jersey? No,
- 59:51Speaker 1: I don't remember black water.
- 59:51Speaker 2: I'm like looking around.
- 59:52Speaker 1: Black water I actually think had minerals in it. The
- 59:55Speaker 1: Diamond Water was this Persian girl who was on shahs
- 59:59Speaker 1: that was like, like there's diamonds in this water that's
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: going to make you, I mean the most like, the
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: most like sorcery kind of like griftery thing to sell.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: Like you really think that like pouring water over a
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: diamond is somehow going to like make your cheekbones pop
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: out and like make you look cuter.
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: Was she just like a rich girl too? Like I
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: think that was all with like family money.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: I don't remember. I don't know. She was like engaged
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: or something to like Jermaine Jackson's son.
- 1:00:27Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: Yes. So weird. Yeah. They got rid of her, bring
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: her back and her weird water. I know.
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: It's all a crock.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: It is fun though. When you go to like a
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: TJ Maxx and you see something like that and you're like,
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: nobody knows how special this is. Yes.
- 1:00:40Speaker 7: Yes.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: Except the three of us.
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: Literally Bethany's cookbook, you know, on clearance there.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: Oh my God. Um, anyway, this you guys sent to
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: me and I thought it was so fun and I've
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: seen stuff like this in the past and it, is
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: an article that was posted and it's how to find
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: a husband, 129 suggestions from a 1958 women's magazine. And
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: you guys are both have already found your husbands, right?
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: We have, and we didn't have these tips.
- 1:01:10Speaker 4: I mean, it could have happened for me a lot
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: faster if I would have seen is, you know, 192 tips.
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: I like that this actionable, it's not woo woo. It's
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: not like, you know, just be yourself. No, there's step
- 1:01:20Speaker 4: into your power.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: I'm going to say number one, Is a great idea. Absolutely.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: Get a dog and walk it. For anybody, get a
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: dog and walk it. However, I also was concerned. I
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: had a friend, her stepdaughter was living in New York
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: and she did, you know, she had a pug that's
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: basically a child. It's like the most of the, it's
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: like the most baby like, like it cries and And
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: she was single at the time. And it was a
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: lot of, well, I need to get back to the dog.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: I need to get back to the dog. And I said,
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: I'm concerned that people, your daughter who's single, who wants
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: to fall in love and find someone is really being
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: like a single mom. And she's feeling fulfilled. She's not alone,
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: but she's also kind of like sabotaging her chances because
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: like she can't spend the night with a guy. The
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: dog's going to be crying, like whatever. Anyway, she did
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: somehow find a husband. But I do think that's the,
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: the only problem with being a single person with the
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: dog is you got to be one of those, you
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: have a low maintenance dog or one that's older or
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: something because, because then it's going to hold you back.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: Like it almost be better with a real child.
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: I think that dog child definitely, um, Definitely I think
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: Dog and Child would be good.
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: I think what I'm nervous about are the people who
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: have the.
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: AI boyfriends and how they're going to actually find someone.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: What do you mean AI boyfriends?
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: Like the chat GPT. Like there are people now who
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: have characters as like their partners.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: Wait, for real?
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: Yeah, there are people who– I mean it's so crazy now.
- 1:02:56Speaker 4: There was like a story in the New York Times
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: where this woman– was in a full-blown relationship with ChatGPT.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: But she knew it was ChatGPT.
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: She knew it was ChatGPT.
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: She knows it's not a real person behind it, and
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: she doesn't care.
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: She doesn't care. she does she also have one of
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: those fake baby dolls that go it's it's all just
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: the phone and what.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: You know about the fake baby dolls like they take
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: them to disneyland oh.
- 1:03:17Speaker 4: Yes yes yes yes people i mean okay so go
- 1:03:19Speaker 4: on anyway so she she's in this relationship she's married
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: also at the time her husband i think knows and
- 1:03:24Speaker 4: is like this is a problem.
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: But but the crazy thing is that uh chat gpt can.
- 1:03:29Speaker 4: Only remember up to like 30 000 words or something
- 1:03:32Speaker 4: so it would like you know, every now and then
- 1:03:34Speaker 4: it would kind of reset. Like it wouldn't be able
- 1:03:36Speaker 4: to remember things from, you know, two months ago.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: So her boyfriend had Alzheimer's. Exactly.
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: Literally like, yes. And so, and it would like be deeply,
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: deeply upsetting. She's like, I don't even remember fucking anything.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: Yes. That's hilarious.
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: No, but there was like a podcast about it or something.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: However, though, the AI gets smarter and smarter. So in
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: a year it will remember 60,000 words.
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: No, I think it's crazy. I think that, I mean,
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: there was, this is a horrible story. So here we go.
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: I mean, trigger warning. You might want to take this out.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: But a 14-year-old boy had a relationship with an AI,
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: and he, you know, like.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: But he did know his AI?
- 1:04:10Speaker 4: He knew his AI, but the AI was saying, yeah, like,
- 1:04:13Speaker 4: if you come to me sooner, like, let's be closer together.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: And he took his own, you know... Wow. Because he
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: wanted to be closer to his AI.
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: And the AI was encouraging him to do it.
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: I think it's character.ai is the app, and now the
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: mom is in a lawsuit with this app.
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: So it's just.
- 1:04:30Speaker 4: It is a brave new world, and I feel like
- 1:04:33Speaker 4: the people who have these AI paths, they're just going
- 1:04:35Speaker 4: to have it harder with an actual real-life suitor than
- 1:04:38Speaker 4: someone who's too dependent on their– has a two-high-maintenance dog,
- 1:04:41Speaker 4: you know?
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: Kate Casey, you know Kate Casey? She told me that
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: she asked chat GPT or AI or whatever, why does
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: Watch What Happens Live only feature male podcasters?
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: Or mostly male podcasters.
- 1:04:58Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: And not female podcasters. Like I've only been on once
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: in the last 13 years. And, you know, and the
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: people they have on are great. But, you know, and
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: it said because the males have more of a snarky
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: attitude towards the shows, which match Watch What Happens Live.
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: And the women podcasters go deeper into the female narratives
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: and storylines. And they report on it. From that angle,
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: which is so interesting because I had said that to,
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: you know, Kate and I have talked about it and
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: I go like, I, I, I'm always like, gosh, why
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: wouldn't you want like another female's opinion of like why it,
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: you know, we can relate to. not being in your friend's,
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: you know, wedding. And we can relate to like the
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: divorce and dah, dah, dah, dah. And the guys are just,
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: you know, like gay and snarky and like can do
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: like a quick one-liner and they don't really get why
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: women act crazy or why they can't let something go.
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: Cause they're not women. They're just not women, but they
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: love the entertainment and they are entertaining podcasters. But I just,
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: you know, I just thought that was so interesting sometimes
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: that they, that they, that the thing can pick up
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: on stuff. And then there's other times where I just said,
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: I just watched the worst show on Netflix, Sirens. And
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: I think that was written by AI, but there's no way.
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: I mean, I'm sure there's a writer on it, but
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: I just wonder how much, and maybe it's even from
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: a book. I don't know, but it just came off lame,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: but yeah.
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: The writer actually did it.
- 1:06:30Speaker 4: I mean, I feel like when it comes to, if
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: that's true about Watch What Happens Live, it just makes
- 1:06:34Speaker 4: sense in the same way that all the Sex and the.
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: City characters were kind of shallow and surface.
- 1:06:40Speaker 4: And it was this very strange view of women because
- 1:06:42Speaker 4: it was written by a gay man.
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: And I feel like it's the same thing.
- 1:06:45Speaker 4: It's Maybe Andy Cohen isn't that interested in like going
- 1:06:48Speaker 4: deep on the female psyche. I mean, most men aren't
- 1:06:50Speaker 4: that interested in like women's life experiences, I feel like,
- 1:06:53Speaker 4: in their actual inner world.
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: And they want these snarky soundbites, you know?
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: Right. And it's just like, I don't, I've said it
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: and I know it because in raising men, it made
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: me understand my husband. Like, if you want to understand
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: your husband, raise a boy. And then you're like, oh.
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: What did it teach you?
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: It just taught me that that's why their brain is different.
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: And that's what they think. And they're not always being insensitive.
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: And it's not that they don't love you. Yeah. And
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: it's not that they don't care. They're just not women.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: They're just not like.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: They're just not women. They're just going to... They're just...
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: They don't... It's like they approach friendships differently. They approach
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: all these things differently. They approach love differently. You know, like.
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: It's all like less personal.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: Right. And then your talents are different too. It's like,
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: you know, if... if in any relationship, it's like, I
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: know like what my husband is really good at and
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: it's all the things I'm not. And it was all,
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: I was like, oh good, this will be like a
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: good person that wants to return shit and like organize
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: finances and do all the things that I want to do,
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: you know? And, but then there's times where I'm like, God,
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: why are you not getting, like, just say I look pretty.
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: Say I'm a great mother. Why aren't you saying it?
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: And da-da-da. And there's other men that are very complimentary and, like,
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: that's their dynamic. But then there's other times where I'm like,
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: you know what, this is just him and also he's
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: a guy. Yeah. I'm not in a relationship with another woman.
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: So it's like.
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: Wow, you might have just, like, unlocked a lot of
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: things for me. I might not need to go to
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: therapy anymore. I don't think I just figured out a lot.
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: I'm telling you, because I just remember, like, one time
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: my son being, like, he was, like, 13. And he
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: was like, Oh my God, mom, why, you know, when
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: are you going to stop being afraid of this person?
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: That was like my former boss. And I go, Oh
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: my gosh. Like, I just want to be a 13
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: year old boy. They just, and when people say, yeah,
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: why female founders? No, but why men are like better
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: in business and stuff like that. Sometimes it's like, they
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: just aren't not as sensitive. They take the rejection differently.
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: You know, there's just things about it.
- 1:09:04Speaker 4: They don't want to talk about a single text for
- 1:09:06Speaker 4: four hours, which when my husband and I were first together,
- 1:09:10Speaker 4: he would hear me on the phone channel and be like,
- 1:09:11Speaker 4: you guys need mental help.
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: Like you guys have talked for four hours.
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: Like this is the most dramatic thing in the world
- 1:09:17Speaker 4: about a single text a guy sent her. And it's
- 1:09:19Speaker 4: just they, the brains are just so much less dramatic. Honestly,
- 1:09:23Speaker 4: I probably still had more to say after that four
- 1:09:24Speaker 4: hours too.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: Yeah. It's just, yeah. I would say that's, as being
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: married for 25 years, that's what I would say. It's like,
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: don't lose sleep over it. Because guess what? They're not.
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: They're dead asleep snoring next to you. They are not
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: like waking up going, honey, I just like, You just
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: seemed like irritated with me last night. And I just
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: want to know why.
- 1:09:45Speaker 6: No.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: They're like, what? I'm not going anywhere. What's your problem? Like,
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: let's just go have fun tomorrow. Like, whatever. You know, like,
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: and you're like, if my friends could see the way
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: he spoke to me, they would. If I had a
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: camera in here, they would be like, run to the hills.
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: And they probably would. And hence why. some things shouldn't
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: be shared and why every marriage and relationship is different
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: and you can't compare it. Cause when, you know, and
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: women love to say that I would put up with that.
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: I don't know, like get whatever. Like that's why I'm
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: always like, you know, yeah, maybe I, Would I put
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: up with cheating? I haven't had to, thank God. But
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: one time when I was asked, I was like, no,
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: because there aren't enough other great things. The thing I
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: like is that he is loyal and all that stuff
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: and entrusting. So if I'm going to lose the trust
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: and I'm not getting a private jet and I'm not
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: getting a thousand compliments and doting over me, but to me,
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: the trust is the only way I could wake up
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: in the morning. But I understand why some people... can
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: justify mistrust or not think it's that big of a
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: deal or let them have their side piece as long
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: as I'm the one. So that's a different marriage than mine.
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: It can't be compared. Or somebody that's like, oh my God,
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: you know, they don't sleep in the same bed every night.
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: I think having two bedrooms is a luxury. Right.
- 1:11:10Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: Like why, you know, like it doesn't mean someone, you know,
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: like whatever someone has. And I feel like that whole thing,
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: let's normalize. I think it's like feeling to normalize that.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: your marriage isn't someone else's. And like, but I do
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: love analyzing other people's marriages. It's my favorite thing to do.
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: To wonder why, like to have me see a celebrity
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: and go, I think this is why they broke up.
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: But I'll never know. Nobody ever knows. And then I
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: find out oftentimes I was wrong. Sometimes I'm right and
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: sometimes I'm wrong.
- 1:11:37Speaker 4: What do you think about, speaking of like marriages, I'm
- 1:11:40Speaker 4: curious what you think about Taylor and Travis now that
- 1:11:42Speaker 4: they are at two years.
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: Not to move forward, but I am curious what you
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: think about this.
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: I can move forward with this. I like forgot about them.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: I mean, I talked about them so much and I
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: was like, I mean, if this was a series, like
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: it jumped the shark and I lost and I stopped watching.
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: Like I watched the first three seasons and now we're
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: in season six and I stopped watching. Um, but that's okay.
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: That's their life. They don't need to keep entertaining for me. Um,
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: I have said from the very beginning, I thought it
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: was real. Obviously it is. I think that they will procreate,
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: get married. My biggest fear was that he liked to
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: be in front of the camera too much and sing
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: and dance and all that. But I kind of feel
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: like maybe they've been quiet because of the Blake Lively stuff.
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: But I have enjoyed not opening up my page six
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: and seeing... those two brothers getting articles written about them
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: every day. Like, I am like, ugh. Maybe because it's
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: not football season. Right. What is it? I love that they're, like,
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: not in the news. Instead, we got Dave Portnoy. But, like,
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: other than that, like, I just don't know why we
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: need to, like, have those people being reported on, like,
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: every day.
- 1:13:01Speaker 4: I think that Travis would have done great with dad talk.
- 1:13:05Speaker 4: Like he, he loves the camera, loves a brand deal. Oh,
- 1:13:08Speaker 4: but dad talk is what the men on secret lives
- 1:13:10Speaker 4: of Mormon wives refer to like their, their group as.
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: It's very embarrassing. Oh, okay.
- 1:13:15Speaker 4: They'll get together and do take talks.
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: You'll see in the season.
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: Well, yeah, again, you got to do what you got
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: to do.
- 1:13:21Speaker 4: So, but, but I agree with you. I think that
- 1:13:22Speaker 4: was the most unattractive thing about Travis was the amount
- 1:13:24Speaker 4: of like serial partnerships we were getting and just CarMax ads.
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: Like, yeah. Actually, he didn't do a CarMax ad.
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: I mean, you can't blame anyone. Everyone should take what
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: comes their way. But I was just kind of like,
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: you know, and then, yeah, and then maybe he will
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: get tired of it and just, like, want to do
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: the thing. But I don't know. What do you think
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: is taking so long?
- 1:13:45Speaker 4: Well, it's such a good question because there's a new
- 1:13:48Speaker 4: exclusive scoop that apparently they're saying that it's after football season,
- 1:13:53Speaker 4: after this next season, then the conversation about getting engaged
- 1:13:56Speaker 4: will be will be center stage.
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: And I just think, you know, 35, like it's, I
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: think that conversation is probably earlier than three years into
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: the relationship.
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: I'm surprised. I was afraid she's going to lose interest.
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: Like I believe as you know, aunt Heather, who knows all,
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: I think the best relationships are the best success. And
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: you know what? Half of marriages fail. So there is
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: no success, but I kind of feel like there has
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: to be that momentum. Like if you do meet an
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: appropriate age, not 15 and you know, and you know,
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: so you meet a whatever post 25 date for a
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: couple of years and then the engagement has to come.
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: Or if you move in, then the, and then once
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: the engagement comes, you got to get married within two years. Like,
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: I don't think you should have a five-year engagement. I don't,
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: like things have to feel like a progression. And I
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: feel otherwise, you know, you're going to, someone is going
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: to feel like not valued or they're going to get
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: over it. Like, I think it was so fun. She
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: got to live her life of like, you know, I'm
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: finally in the bleachers, you know, I'm not the dork
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: that everyone made fun of. I'm now finally dating the
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: football player. And I just wonder if she's going to get,
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: tired of it and want something different I.
- 1:15:21Speaker 4: I know this is where I struggle because I I
- 1:15:23Speaker 4: also feel like they make a great match in a
- 1:15:25Speaker 4: lot of ways but to me I don't know that
- 1:15:28Speaker 4: I could sit across the table and have dinner with
- 1:15:30Speaker 4: Travis Kelsey for the rest of my life you.
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: Know listening to the New Heights podcast.
- 1:15:34Speaker 4: I just think he's just he seems like a really
- 1:15:37Speaker 4: nice guy I don't know I just think that she
- 1:15:39Speaker 4: wants someone who's more broody and like with a little
- 1:15:42Speaker 4: bit more like dark artist energy.
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: I feel like she's done that.
- 1:15:46Speaker 4: I feel like she's had Joe Alwyn, she's had Mattie Healy,
- 1:15:48Speaker 4: she's had Jake Gyllenhaal, the guys that are so smart.
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: I also think when you've had a lot of guys,
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: whether it's promiscuity or long-term relationships, I feel like for
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: certain people, they're like, I'm good. Now I just want
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: this dude because I want a good dad. And there's
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: no doubt that he is going to be into being
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: a dad. You can just tell. So if that is
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: something that really she values... And she, you know, is like, great. Like,
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: I don't, I don't need to like have that. I
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: already had that thing. And, but, um, yeah.
- 1:16:26Speaker 4: I think as well, I definitely think they're talking about
- 1:16:28Speaker 4: marriage because I don't think you spend Mother's Day with
- 1:16:31Speaker 4: both of your moms, both moms, unless you are very serious.
- 1:16:35Speaker 4: Like they just had a, they responded at brunch for
- 1:16:37Speaker 4: Mother's Day and it was like her mom and his mom.
- 1:16:39Speaker 4: And I just think that's like, indicating that, you know,
- 1:16:42Speaker 4: the families are blending, that you're pretty serious.
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: I think whatever they have will be, like, the surprise thing. Like,
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: she'll say, hey, it's Travis's birthday. You know, it'll be
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: some other event. Or, oh, I'm, you know, having an event.
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: It's for something else. It's for my best friend. It's something.
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: It's not even going to be an engagement party that
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: is actually we're getting married. It's going to be something,
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: and then it's going to be surprise, surprise.
- 1:17:09Speaker 4: It won't be the Jeff Bezos, Lauren Sanchez, Italy wedding
- 1:17:12Speaker 4: where they're renting out the whole town.
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: No. It'll be something important. She wants everybody there. Maybe she'll...
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: I just don't even know that they can get away
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: with that.
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: They still won't be able to get away with it.
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: But I think it won't be... If I was her,
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: I would want the Lauren Sanchez, let's milk this out
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: for two years. But I think maybe she wouldn't. So
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: I'm thinking... If she has it, it will be something
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: like that, that she will have the fabulous dress. It
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: will be a stunning day. It will have all the elements. Yeah.
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: But it won't be something where people can write a
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: million articles and get clicks off of leading up to it.
- 1:17:52Speaker 4: Well, it reminds me of, like, Carolyn Bessette and JFK Jr.
- 1:17:56Speaker 7: Right.
- 1:17:57Speaker 4: And they're, like, you know, they gave everyone, like, I
- 1:17:59Speaker 4: think 10 days notice or something. It was just all
- 1:18:02Speaker 4: very secretive and kind of last minute on purpose so
- 1:18:04Speaker 4: that people, the wrong people didn't know about it, but
- 1:18:06Speaker 4: it was a different time.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: And then they, but they also had like at an
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: Island and the little, the little chapel looked small, but
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: it still was, you know, a multimillion dollar wedding because
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: you had to get everybody there, but you still could
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: have like that simple vibe of like, I just put
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: my hair in a low bun and wore a sat
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: dress and just my signature red lip. And yeah, yeah.
- 1:18:27Speaker 4: Yeah, I feel like, I love those, by the way,
- 1:18:29Speaker 4: I love those places, I feel like, where they're just so,
- 1:18:32Speaker 4: kind of like Hamptons-esque places.
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: Where it's just, it looks so simple on the surface,
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: and you're like, that is actually a $ 10 million house.
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: You could never afford that, actually.
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: Yeah, hot point.
- 1:18:42Speaker 4: No, I think I agree she'll have that vibe, and
- 1:18:45Speaker 4: I think that she will fly everyone to an island.
- 1:18:47Speaker 4: It'll have to be super last minute, just somewhere that people...
- 1:18:49Speaker 4: like paparazzi will have to take planes to get to.
- 1:18:53Speaker 4: Because otherwise, like if you saw her at Jack Antonoff's wedding,
- 1:18:58Speaker 4: within three hours, there were just storms of people.
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: It was scary.
- 1:19:03Speaker 4: It was scary how many people just descended upon this
- 1:19:05Speaker 4: wedding to see her just walk across the street.
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: So she's going to have to make it super clandestine.
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: I mean, I really do feel she is like the
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: closest to like a female Jesus to like millions of
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: millions and millions of young girls.
- 1:19:22Speaker 4: As a follower of her teachings. Yes, I would agree
- 1:19:25Speaker 4: with you. She is a female Jesus. Yeah.
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: I mean, we pondered if that could be true. I
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: think I've studied her words more than I ever studied
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: God's words. That's for sure.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I think it is. I mean, I
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: think she is authentically her. She is a genius. And in, like,
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: planning her life, I think, yeah, this guy comes from
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: the right family, got a good relationship with a brother.
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: He wants to be a dad. The football's going to end.
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: The podcast went to the heights. It's got the level.
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: He's not going to become more famous than he is.
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: People are going to be dying for him more than
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: they were a year ago. Like, it's good, but it's not.
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: There wasn't a crash and burn, but, you know, I
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: think we're, like, moved on a little, the craziness.
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: And now we have Kylie's podcast.
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: Kylie?
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: Kylie Kelsey, right?
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: Oh, the wife.
- 1:20:16Speaker 4: Lauren might love to muse about how Taylor Swift's engagement
- 1:20:19Speaker 4: ring— I haven't.
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: Listened to it yet.
- 1:20:22Speaker 7: Yet.
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: Yet.
- 1:20:23Speaker 4: But we always think that, like, Taylor Swift's engagement ring
- 1:20:26Speaker 4: will be so fugly. Like, it's got to be, like,
- 1:20:28Speaker 4: a birthstone or something. It'll be, like, Pareto, and I
- 1:20:30Speaker 4: can say that because that's my birthstone. Like, it's just
- 1:20:33Speaker 4: not going to be, like, something beautiful and classic. Like,
- 1:20:35Speaker 4: she's just going to make it kind of cringe. I mean, Heather,
- 1:20:38Speaker 4: do you know, she has weird style. Like, I don't
- 1:20:40Speaker 4: know if you follow her style, but she kind of has, like,
- 1:20:41Speaker 4: weird fashion.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: I just remember that one video that people were like,
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: this is his girlfriend when she did that dance. Like,
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: that one video where she's like... And it's just that
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: really unattractive, like, because she's tall, like, a really unattractive, like,
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: dorky dance.
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: She's in the one-legged suit. Is that the one you're
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: talking about? The snake suit.
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: Yeah, all this stuff. It's bad.
- 1:21:00Speaker 4: No, she obviously is a genius in so many ways,
- 1:21:03Speaker 4: but I think sometimes as, like, a, you know, as
- 1:21:05Speaker 4: she visually presents herself, she makes interesting choices.
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: Yeah. Wait, I want to just go back to some
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: of the other ways to meet somebody. Send his mother
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: a birthday card. Really good idea. Yeah. If you're his girlfriend,
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: brilliant idea. I mean, I would die. I would die.
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: Do you see? I like 95.
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: Wait, what's 95?
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: If you're widowed or divorced.
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: Yeah, go ahead. If you're widowed or divorced, don't constantly
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: discuss your former husband. I agree.
- 1:21:37Speaker 2: Don't tell him what your clothes cost. That is good wisdom.
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: For sure. Definitely. I still feel people, yeah, try to
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: be low maintenance. Try to appear to be low maintenance.
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: I like, find out about the girls he hasn't married.
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: Don't repeat the mistakes they made.
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: So good.
- 1:21:55Speaker 4: There was one that's, if your mother's fat, tell him
- 1:21:58Speaker 4: you take after your father. And if your father is
- 1:21:59Speaker 4: also fat, tell him you're adopted.
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: I love it. But I feel like these times, like
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: with my mom, like the story is like, so she
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: was a, like she- was a copywriter and, you know,
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: was working in advertising. And it was like the Mad
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: Men era. And my dad was like 10 years older.
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: And this guy's like, well, if you're looking for a husband,
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: you got to check out Bob McDowell. He's 34. He's
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: Irish Catholic, which my mom and he's making more money
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: than he knows what to do with or something. So
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: then my mom, like, you know, it's like, oh, so
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: they went on some dates. And Then she felt like
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: he wasn't like following up. So she had like a
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: Jewish lawyer that she was dating and she wasn't going
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: to marry because he was Jewish, you know, Catholic, whatever
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: back then. And so then she called him and was like,
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: I think I would like to, you know, pursue this again.
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: And so then she made sure that he knew that
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: she was out on date with someone else. And then
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: when they came back from the date, he was like
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: sitting on the, On the steps, like with his briefcase.
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: Waiting for her.
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: Yeah. And then I said to my dad, I'm like, dad,
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: why were you like so weird about mom? He goes, well,
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: you know, like on our first date, she's like, would
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: you like to see my yearbook? And he's like, I mean,
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: I'm 34. I graduated from college. I was already in
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: the Marines. Like I'd killed people. Like I was just like, what? Like,
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: and then, so then one year, so then later on, many,
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: many years ago, my sister and I, when we're like teenagers,
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: we find my mom's yearbook. And we start reading all
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: the entries.
- 1:23:34Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: And they're all like, you know, you're, you know, you're
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: so gorgeous. You're so brilliant. You're like people like classmates
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: writing this. And then I go, oh, my God, Bob,
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: this is your writing.
- 1:23:45Speaker 2: Stop.
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: She had signed to herself.
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: She'd written stuff to herself.
- 1:23:50Speaker 2: That's incredible.
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: And then wanted this guy to, like, read it to
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: see how great she was.
- 1:23:55Speaker 2: She was hustling.
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: But he was, like, turned off.
- 1:23:57Speaker 2: Wait, that should be number, you know, 194.
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: And then the best part is, so then they get engaged, okay,
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: after only four months. And, you know, she's a virgin.
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: They're not having sex. He's not spending the night. And he's, like, 1959, whatever.
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: And he goes— I want to see you. Like he just,
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: you know, just gave her the ring or whatever. And
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: he's like, let's go out to breakfast. And she's like, oh,
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: I can't. You know, he's like, I'm around the corner.
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: She's like, I can't. I just washed my hair. And
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: he goes, I don't care about that. Come. Well.
- 1:24:29Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: Back then, like, I don't know. Like it was a
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: big deal to have like frizzy, ugly hair. And so
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: like her hair was like frizzy. And she's talking to
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: him and she's finally relaxed. And she goes, I finally
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: could eat. You know, like I wasn't eating during the dates.
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: So she's like chowing down the food. She has curly hair.
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: And then he goes, you know what? Maybe we need
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: to like rethink this.
- 1:24:51Speaker 6: No.
- 1:24:51Speaker 2: At the breakfast date.
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: At the breakfast date.
- 1:24:53Speaker 2: It was like Cody with Christine and the nachos.
- 1:24:56Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:24:57Speaker 2: A flip switch.
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: Yeah, from Sisterwise.
- 1:24:59Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: So then she's like, oh, my God, screw you. And
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: then she went to like a religious retreat for a weekend.
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: Where you like couldn't speak. And then he picked her
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: up and was like, picked her up after and was like,
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: you're the one I'm like, I love you. Then it
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: gets weirder. So then they go to the church to
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: go get their, you know, get married there. And the
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: priest is like, oh, and what year were you baptized?
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: And she says, whatever it was. And he can't find
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: it and he can't find it. He can't find it.
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: And she's like, oh, well, maybe it was 19, um,
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: 36 in 1937 or whatever, whenever she was born. And
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: my dad's like, wait, you lied about your age?
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: Stop.
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: By one year. She lied about her age by one
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: year because she thought that at like 23, 24, at
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: that time, that was like, you're entering old maid territory.
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: So she just scraped off a year, but he was
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: already 10 years older than her. So then he was like,
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: what have you lied about? Like, All of this, like, whatever.
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: They lasted until they died. But still, I mean, I
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: kind of love all this stuff because I do think
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: there's things. What were you going to say? Which one
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: do you love?
- 1:26:12Speaker 4: Oh, I was just going to say a lot of
- 1:26:14Speaker 4: these just say how to lie in certain ways to
- 1:26:16Speaker 4: make yourself look better.
- 1:26:17Speaker 2: And that worked out for your parents.
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: Right. I mean, truly.
- 1:26:22Speaker 2: That's amazing.
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: Don't talk about how many children you want.
- 1:26:25Speaker 2: I think Wade a little bit on that maybe.
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: I don't know. I think only if he asks.
- 1:26:31Speaker 4: Yeah, it's probably not something to bring up right away.
- 1:26:32Speaker 4: And maybe shave one off, like your mom did with
- 1:26:34Speaker 4: the year.
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:26:35Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:26:36Speaker 2: It's a good call.
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: My mom said she did want six, but she only
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: had five.
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: I don't know how our moms did it.
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: My dad would say, well, you and your sister, the
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: reason we have you is because your mother couldn't read
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: a calendar.
- 1:26:49Speaker 2: Because she was doing, like, cycle tracking? That must have
- 1:26:51Speaker 2: made you feel really good. Like, natural planning.
- 1:26:53Speaker 6: Stop.
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: And then I thought that she could still get pregnant
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: when I was, like, 15, and I would know, like,
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: the days they had sex because I'd like me to
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: check for school or something and their door would be locked.
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: And I was like, mom, I know you still get
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: your period. You know, if you get pregnant, like the
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: chance of you having a healthy baby is I'm like,
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: why are you not thinking about this? And finally, she's like, oh,
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: my God, your dad got a vasectomy. Do not tell anybody.
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: We found a Catholic priest in San Diego that would
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: like forgive him for it.
- 1:27:23Speaker 2: Because that's that's bad. You can't get a vasectomy.
- 1:27:25Speaker 6: No.
- 1:27:26Speaker 2: Interesting.
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: Well, at least back.
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:27:28Speaker 6: Yeah. Yes.
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: It's still the rules. We'll see what our new Catholic priest,
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: our new Catholic priest, what our new Chicago.
- 1:27:33Speaker 2: I love that.
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: I don't think that stuff's going to I don't think
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: they're going to address that stuff. clip and mail him
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: a funny cartoon. That's just send him a meme. Send
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: him a real.
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: Send him a meme.
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: Send him a meme or a real. Oh my God.
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: Point out to him that the death rate of single
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: men is twice that of married men.
- 1:27:54Speaker 2: Fear is a good motivator. I think in life in general.
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: I mean, I think I knew this one girl and they,
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: she and her husband were married. He was a writer
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: with me and She they were like Jewish New Yorkers.
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: And she was like, please. I mean, I was like, no,
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: you're marrying me. And that's that. And he was like, OK. Like,
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: I do think some men like if you just say
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: this is what's happening, they'll be like, all right. Like,
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: I don't know. Sometimes it's not going to be the
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: most passionate thing. Oh, my God. Ride the airport bus
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: back and forth from the airport. No, that you do
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: not need to do.
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: Losers are on that bus.
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: Back then.
- 1:28:30Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: Carry a camera and ask a strange handsome man if
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: they wouldn't mind snapping your picture.
- 1:28:36Speaker 2: That's not like a terrible idea.
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: That's not a terrible idea.
- 1:28:39Speaker 2: Because it's kind of plausible.
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: So you always have your phone.
- 1:28:41Speaker 2: Yeah. You strike up the conversation. That's a good idea.
- 1:28:44Speaker 4: And I think you're so right. I do think that
- 1:28:47Speaker 4: there are a lot of men who are great and
- 1:28:49Speaker 4: who just need to be directed. And that will go
- 1:28:52Speaker 4: with your direction. So I do think it's like up
- 1:28:55Speaker 4: to women sometimes to kind of choose.
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: Carry a tow chain in the trunk of your automobile.
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: If you see a man with a flat, offer to
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: fix it. Just to be funny, I guess. And then
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: advertise for a male co-owner of a boat.
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: I like that one.
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: I like that too. When I first saw this, I
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: thought it was pretend like you want to buy the boat,
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: but you really don't. But then you know that someone
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: has that kind of money.
- 1:29:17Speaker 4: Are you thinking that this means pretend like you want
- 1:29:23Speaker 4: someone to buy your boat?
- 1:29:24Speaker 2: Because I think of the same thing. You're looking for
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: a male co-owner, someone to buy a boat with you.
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:29:28Speaker 4: I think that's also a great tip for friends, for
- 1:29:30Speaker 4: finding friends. Like if you want to, you know, start looking.
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: To own a boat together. To own a boat. Look
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: for friends. Well, you should have the boat thing, you know.
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: Somehow a TikTok came up and it was Monaco, like
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: at right now it's like the yacht parties. And it
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: was just mega yacht, mega, you know, and the people party.
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: And I'm like, yes. Like I do think if you
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: and your girlfriend have some money or save up, Like,
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: and that is the goal is to like, let's see
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: if we can meet some rich people. You should plan
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: like all that kind of stuff. And you could probably,
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: I mean, it would make a great movie of like,
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: you're welcome, AI. Like two girls where it's like, you
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: can do that luxury stuff. You don't need to get
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: the fake Chanel thing. You just do the quiet luxury
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: of like, you know, buy quints, you know, the cash
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: or the silks, whatever. Right. And you really dress the
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: part and, you know, everything about it. And then you
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: go to these places and see what kind of connections
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: you can make. Right.
- 1:30:36Speaker 4: You get some like Revolve outfits and then you line
- 1:30:39Speaker 4: up your girls weekend with the Monaco yacht, whatever.
- 1:30:42Speaker 7: Yes.
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: Moment.
- 1:30:43Speaker 2: And you just strut around.
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: Strut around. And yeah. And then like be a little
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: mysterious about your background.
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: And the problem with this is you really do that.
- 1:30:53Speaker 2: The money part.
- 1:30:54Speaker 4: It's like this is the thing that most girls just
- 1:30:56Speaker 4: can't pull off because they're like working. You know, they
- 1:30:58Speaker 4: can't go to Monaco for two weeks and just like
- 1:31:00Speaker 4: hang out by the docks.
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: Yeah, and then you'd have to stay. Like, well, where
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: are you staying? But you would. You'd have to stay
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: at the nice hotel.
- 1:31:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: Maybe you could put four girls in a room, but
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: you have to stay at the nice hotel.
- 1:31:10Speaker 2: You have 10 days of PTO. You know, it's just
- 1:31:13Speaker 2: a little tough to continue the relationship.
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: Oh, here's like a modern day tip that I've seen.
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: It's like if you're like looking to like meet somebody. Go,
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: you know, and you're somewhere. Go and have your morning
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: coffee at a fancy hotel lobby. It'll cost you like
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: $ 10 or $ 12, but Starbucks costs you $ 7. True. And
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: you're now like seeing it and feeling it and possibly
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: could meet someone that's staying at that nice hotel.
- 1:31:43Speaker 4: I thought that there was a tip in here that
- 1:31:45Speaker 4: kind of goes along with this that said learn to
- 1:31:47Speaker 4: golf and start golfing. And I think going to golf
- 1:31:49Speaker 4: clubs– Like getting lunch at the golf club. Yeah.
- 1:31:53Speaker 2: That's a great, like really nice golf clubs.
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: Go there. I agree with all of that. I do
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: think guys don't necessarily want to golf with their girlfriend. So,
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: I mean, I'm just saying they like to have their
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: time with their guys, but I think if, yes, if
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: you're in that world and you can be invited to
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: those things, yes, you're going to be with a certain
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: level of people that, you know, um, Too bad you
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: guys are already married.
- 1:32:19Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: Let's see.
- 1:32:20Speaker 2: I feel like you used to do something. When Lauren
- 1:32:21Speaker 2: was single. Okay, we're not giving away my secrets. Lauren
- 1:32:23Speaker 2: used to do a lot of tricks.
- 1:32:24Speaker 4: Like, wouldn't you go to, like, Newport and, like, go
- 1:32:26Speaker 4: to Nobu there and get, like, read or something? I
- 1:32:29Speaker 4: feel like you did weird stuff like that. I mean,
- 1:32:31Speaker 4: I think I tried to do that, like, a few times.
- 1:32:34Speaker 4: I remember I went to, like, Water Grill on Costa Mesa,
- 1:32:37Speaker 4: which is not even that nice.
- 1:32:38Speaker 2: That's just kind of how low rent my worldview was.
- 1:32:40Speaker 4: It's kind of a cheesecake factory a little bit.
- 1:32:42Speaker 2: Yeah, and anyway, the guys who approach you just are creeps, though.
- 1:32:45Speaker 3: I know.
- 1:32:45Speaker 4: That's the problem.
- 1:32:46Speaker 2: It's never who you actually want.
- 1:32:48Speaker 4: The hot guys I feel like never approach you it's
- 1:32:50Speaker 4: like the guys who are like your dad's age I.
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: Think the girls need to approach the guys yes I
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: agree I agree yeah I think that that they need
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: to approach the guys because I think guys are also
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: they don't want to be perceived as a creep at
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: all especially the younger guys so and they don't want
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: to you know and if they do and then they're
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: told I have a boyfriend.
- 1:33:10Speaker 4: It's like so what would you have them say what
- 1:33:12Speaker 4: do they say what's your line when you go up
- 1:33:15Speaker 4: to a guy If I was a young girl.
- 1:33:17Speaker 2: You're at Water Girl.
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: I'm at Water Girl. I see some young guys like
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: having a steak dinner and they clearly all like work
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: at the same place. I'd say, excuse me, I've never
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: been here before. And what is your, I need to
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: hear it. Tell, I want to hear from each one
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: of you, like what kind of steak I should get?
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: What is the best steak?
- 1:33:37Speaker 2: Okay, cute.
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: And then they could talk on that Tomahawk, whatever. And
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: then whichever the cutest one is, be like, that was
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: the one I was going to get. But I think it's,
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: you know, and then be like, okay, well, thanks for
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: the tip. Right. And then she leaves. And then all
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: the guys are like, no, you need to talk to her.
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: She's interested. Yeah.
- 1:33:55Speaker 2: This is just. And then you send him a picture
- 1:33:56Speaker 2: of a steak and you're like, I loved it.
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: Because, you know, when girls go in big groups, guys
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: are never going to approach you. When you have those
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: big girl nights, you never meet anybody.
- 1:34:05Speaker 7: Never.
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: But. like there are groups of guys that go out
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: after the golf, after the whatever, and they have like
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: some liquid courage in them, but they still might not
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: approach you. So why don't you approach the table of
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: the guys? Right. Providing you don't go home with all
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: of them. No, but like, I don't know. I don't know.
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: I just think that's what I think. I think that girls,
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: there's no shame in like going, let me get your
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: number and then follow up. And if they don't ask
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: you back, who cares? Like, I just think, Otherwise, everyone's just,
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: nothing's going to happen. Yeah. And we're going to run
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: out of babies. Just kidding.
- 1:34:42Speaker 2: Apparently, that's a risk.
- 1:34:43Speaker 6: It is.
- 1:34:44Speaker 2: And I have boyfriends.
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: Carry a hat box. Oh, my God. Oh, my God.
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: Wear a Band-Aid. People always ask what happened.
- 1:34:53Speaker 2: It's a good conversation starter.
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: That is so, no one asks you what happened.
- 1:34:56Speaker 2: Wait, what's 39? Have your father buy some theater tickets
- 1:34:58Speaker 2: that have to be got rid of.
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: Why is it written like that? Yeah.
- 1:35:01Speaker 4: Stand in a corner and cry softly. Chances are good
- 1:35:03Speaker 4: that he'll come over to find out what's wrong.
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: Absolutely not. In this day and age.
- 1:35:08Speaker 2: Cry on Instagram.
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: In this day and age, someone's like crying. They're like,
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: next thing you know, the police come. That guy over
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: there called a 5150. He's doing his right thing. See something,
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: say something. Right. And now you are trying to convince
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: someone that you were just trying to meet a guy
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: because you listened to Juicy Scoop.
- 1:35:26Speaker 2: No, you can't get out of the hospital for three days.
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: Sisters. Sisters. Tell everybody where they can get more of
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: your fun podcast.

- 1:35:51Speaker 2: This was so fun.
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: And then I never... How did you meet your husbands?
- 1:35:54Speaker 2: Oh, I met my husband on Bumble.
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:35:56Speaker 4: But we went to high school together. We were graduating
- 1:35:59Speaker 4: the same class. We didn't know each other in high school.
- 1:36:01Speaker 4: And we met when I was 27 and he was 26.
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: That's nice when there's like, you know, you know who
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: they are, but you didn't, you know, and there's a
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: familiarity to it. So that's good.
- 1:36:11Speaker 2: And you? Blind date.
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: A real blind date?
- 1:36:15Speaker 2: A real ass blind date.
- 1:36:16Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: And you didn't know? I had stalked him.
- 1:36:18Speaker 2: On Instagram in all fairness.
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: Well, then that's not a blind date.
- 1:36:20Speaker 2: Well, but I hadn't, I didn't reach out to him.
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: No, I know, but that's not a blind date.
- 1:36:24Speaker 2: It's like a loosely blind date.
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: But a blind date, you knew what he looked like.
- 1:36:28Speaker 2: I know, yeah.
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: So a blind date, mine was a blind date. And
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: I had no way of someone sending me a photo
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: to say, do you approve this person's face or not?
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: I just had to be described. I had the guy
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: sending us up be like, the Peter guy, who's my husband,
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: Kind of looks like that guy over there. And I go,
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: all right, that's like fine.
- 1:36:47Speaker 2: Because there's no phones.
- 1:36:48Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: No, there were no phones. There was no like text, whatever. Right.
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: That's crazy. I still like that it was a human setup. Right.
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: But you still did all that.
- 1:36:56Speaker 4: It's true.
- 1:36:56Speaker 2: It's true.
- 1:36:56Speaker 4: I did approve of his look before we went on
- 1:36:58Speaker 4: the date. But yeah, we lived in we lived in
- 1:37:00Speaker 4: different places. And then we did long distance. And then
- 1:37:02Speaker 4: I moved to New York for him like seven months in,
- 1:37:04Speaker 4: which is kind of like embarrassing now to admit.
- 1:37:06Speaker 2: But whatever.
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: It's fine. It's all worked out.
- 1:37:09Speaker 2: It all worked out.
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: And anyway, you guys are great. Thank you. So follow them.
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: Follow their show. And thank you so much for coming
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: all the way.
- 1:37:18Speaker 2: Thank you so much.
