- 0:44Speaker 4: Our first guest is returning. Karen.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Yeah, thank you for having me.
- 0:50Speaker 1: It's been a minute, right, I mean it has been
- 0:53Speaker 1: several minutes, So welcome. I am sorry it took us
- 0:57Speaker 1: so long to so sinks schedules up again, but we
- 1:01Speaker 1: are so glad to have you here.
- 1:02Speaker 2: And these are these are this is a special episode today.
- 1:08Speaker 5: Somebody gonna get touched. That's usually the code for a
- 1:13Speaker 5: very special episode, right.
- 1:15Speaker 1: No, No, it's lost like after school special and more
- 1:19Speaker 1: like Yeah. I mean, it'll be hard for you guys
- 1:22Speaker 1: to not guess what it's about when Gina tells you
- 1:24Speaker 1: the title.
- 1:25Speaker 4: But it's a goofy one. I think you'll like it.
- 1:29Speaker 4: I had a heart if you couldn't tell, listener, they
- 1:31Speaker 4: are married, John Fink and Karen Fink. Sorry, it's just
- 1:38Speaker 4: not a coincidence that we have the same last name.
- 1:40Speaker 4: They're not cousins.
- 1:41Speaker 3: No check, we did actually.
- 1:48Speaker 4: Also emotion tall we better find out.
- 1:51Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly, it's so rare to have people so tall
- 1:55Speaker 5: no similar heritage, so you know.
- 1:58Speaker 4: Just in case.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Wait, so I five start dating people that are close
- 2:03Speaker 1: to my age, I need to see if they're related
- 2:05Speaker 1: to close to my age and height. Then I didn't
- 2:07Speaker 1: see if they're related.
- 2:08Speaker 5: I mean there are countries where that's advised because it's
- 2:12Speaker 5: got such a small sample population.
- 2:15Speaker 4: All right, Well, didn't they used to do blood tests
- 2:18Speaker 4: in this country before you get married?
- 2:20Speaker 3: I think I think that's.
- 2:23Speaker 4: I don't know why it dropped off.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Did check to see if you're related? And also for STDs?
- 2:30Speaker 1: Because if you aren't clean, you don't deserve love.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Is that the apparently?
- 2:35Speaker 5: Yes, depending on what disease you're carrying, that's what color
- 2:39Speaker 5: wedding dress.
- 2:41Speaker 4: No, that's purple dress. Purple dress for her, purple herpess,
- 2:47Speaker 4: but I don't want herpes.
- 2:48Speaker 5: Raspberry for the clap.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Color is like, uh, scabies or.
- 2:55Speaker 5: Oh definitely green? Yeah, green for scabies. That's where my
- 2:59Speaker 5: mind went. It's like, I've got this weird synesthesia.
- 3:02Speaker 4: All of a sudden, it just makes sense. It's blue.
- 3:09Speaker 5: We discovered on the show My Superpower. I've got synesthesia.
- 3:12Speaker 5: With STDs.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Great, and you're color blind.
- 3:15Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm color blind, so it's even more insane.
- 3:19Speaker 4: I'd love to know what it looks like in his mind.
- 3:23Speaker 5: Oh my god, if I could paint picture.
- 3:26Speaker 1: I ask a lot of color blind people like, oh,
- 3:30Speaker 1: what does this look like to you? And of course
- 3:31Speaker 1: they can't describe it because they're just like this.
- 3:34Speaker 5: It's everything I've ever known.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Yeah, color but I'm so fascinated by it.
- 3:38Speaker 1: I honestly sometimes wish that they had like glasses that
- 3:42Speaker 1: were like the opposite, because I know they have the
- 3:44Speaker 1: glasses that can make color blind.
- 3:46Speaker 2: They have an app se better, but I'd like to
- 3:48Speaker 2: see there's an app for that.
- 3:50Speaker 5: I believe, so I think so. Also, I remember when
- 3:54Speaker 5: I was a kid that helped me get my mind
- 3:56Speaker 5: around it. World Book Encyclopedia opening up color blind and
- 4:01Speaker 5: they had a picture of a vase of flowers and
- 4:03Speaker 5: they said, Okay, this is what it looks like for
- 4:06Speaker 5: normal folks, and then here's the three different types of
- 4:08Speaker 5: color blindness, and with filters on them, so you can
- 4:11Speaker 5: kind of show other people as well they were normal.
- 4:14Speaker 4: To make you feel weird.
- 4:15Speaker 5: Well, yeah, I think so. Probably look as somebody that's
- 4:21Speaker 5: six foot ten. That's not something I'm unfamiliar with.
- 4:24Speaker 4: What we don't all see the tops of people's heads
- 4:28Speaker 4: in refrigerator?
- 4:29Speaker 5: Yes, not everybody gets a you know, twenty four to
- 4:32Speaker 5: seven view of my nostrils.
- 4:34Speaker 1: You're you're nope, you're.
- 4:43Speaker 2: A unit of measurement.
- 4:45Speaker 1: To my dad, Like my dad the other day was like,
- 4:48Speaker 1: that guy's taller than John Fink.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, he's.
- 4:53Speaker 5: Point John Fanks.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, just like it's mind blowing that that they make.
- 5:04Speaker 2: You stack them.
- 5:08Speaker 5: It's like horses. It's like horses with hands, you know,
- 5:11Speaker 5: it's the buildings John Finks. So oh god, how far
- 5:20Speaker 5: away is it? When does the John Fink flies?
- 5:23Speaker 6: It's not tall enough? We need another Fink?
- 5:29Speaker 3: All right?
- 5:34Speaker 1: Ship. Well, other than being a unit of measurement in
- 5:39Speaker 1: the scabberaty household, what uh, what's going on with you
- 5:44Speaker 1: or any of our costs?
- 5:46Speaker 5: Well with the zoo? Uh?
- 5:50Speaker 4: You kids go?
- 5:51Speaker 5: Okay, guests, I go. I got to interview somebody recently
- 5:57Speaker 5: that was pretty cool, this guy who is the Your Life,
- 6:00Speaker 5: Indiana Jones. So that was neat. I heard that it was.
- 6:04Speaker 5: It was a cool interview, and so that was a
- 6:08Speaker 5: neat thing and just working like crazy, so much work.
- 6:15Speaker 4: Yes, if you guys forgot John does news every day.
- 6:18Speaker 5: Yes, my schedule is insane. Yes, so I wake up
- 6:24Speaker 5: at three every morning and an hour later I start
- 6:28Speaker 5: to drink from the fire hose that is our our
- 6:32Speaker 5: world's news. Yeah. Like if you think like drinking from
- 6:37Speaker 5: a garden hose full blast is tough anyway.
- 6:40Speaker 4: What about you, Karen?
- 6:41Speaker 3: Yeah, well I do accounting, so it's not quite as
- 6:45Speaker 3: exciting as John's daily job. But it's been pretty busy,
- 6:49Speaker 3: you know, since the beginning of the year. So it's
- 6:51Speaker 3: trying to stay focused. I've got some time off coming
- 6:55Speaker 3: next month, so just trying to get all my ducks
- 6:57Speaker 3: in a row before take a break.
- 7:02Speaker 4: Those ducks, they don't like staying in a row.
- 7:03Speaker 3: No, they don't know.
- 7:05Speaker 4: They wander.
- 7:06Speaker 3: They're anarchists, those ducks. I'm really happy to be here.
- 7:12Speaker 3: We love your show. We love you.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Guys, I love you.
- 7:19Speaker 4: I think I mentioned I had moved to Florida. I'm
- 7:21Speaker 4: now in a rental house for a few months.
- 7:23Speaker 2: So yeah.
- 7:25Speaker 5: Oh yeah, So.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Did those curtains and that artwork come.
- 7:30Speaker 4: With your Yes, it is fully furnished. Well no, I
- 7:34Speaker 4: just I did not pick any of them.
- 7:37Speaker 5: Did you intend to match those curtains with that art,
- 7:39Speaker 5: is what you're asking you? No, No, I mean I'm
- 7:42Speaker 5: color blind, but even I can tell I know.
- 7:46Speaker 4: I just no, You're right, they don't match.
- 7:49Speaker 1: In the time i've known you, I've never seen that
- 7:52Speaker 1: painting in any of the rooms.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Also, yeah, you yeah.
- 7:56Speaker 5: How is how is art on your wall? Not nerd art?
- 7:59Speaker 5: That's what I was asking.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Right, Yeah, it just be like the Muppets or something.
- 8:03Speaker 1: It feels like a hotel or like an Airbnb painting
- 8:07Speaker 1: that like you don't care about as much, but it's it's.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Good enough and the Yeah.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Anyway, No, it wasn't a commentary on your decorating style,
- 8:16Speaker 1: although I did caution. Front of the show Bill Manus yesterday,
- 8:21Speaker 1: he was talking about how he was going to start
- 8:23Speaker 1: setting up stuff behind him to have like a better backdrop,
- 8:27Speaker 1: like you do, John and like you did, Gina, and
- 8:30Speaker 1: like I don't. And I said, well, wait, I said,
- 8:35Speaker 1: because of two people, I know only one of them,
- 8:40Speaker 1: or I said, of the two of you and Gina,
- 8:43Speaker 1: one person decorated behind them recently and they headed off
- 8:48Speaker 1: they had to move to Florida, So maybe don't decorate
- 8:51Speaker 1: right behind you for the pass, and he goes, what
- 8:55Speaker 1: about John Fink, And I go, well, I did technically
- 8:58Speaker 1: know him.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Before his studio. I guess fine.
- 9:02Speaker 1: And so then I had to drop my immediate one
- 9:04Speaker 1: hundred percent scientific study.
- 9:06Speaker 2: You decorate you move to Florida to a fifty percent,
- 9:10Speaker 2: and it was pointless.
- 9:11Speaker 4: I'm just trying to be more like a golden girl.
- 9:13Speaker 4: I'm in the state now.
- 9:16Speaker 2: I mean, you are very much living.
- 9:19Speaker 4: I'm gonna get a Luni.
- 9:22Speaker 5: It's gonna be my next question.
- 9:24Speaker 6: Wicker furniture employment named.
- 9:26Speaker 4: Coco for one day.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Are you buying cheesecake and bulk?
- 9:31Speaker 4: Yes, yes, I will.
- 9:32Speaker 5: I'm gonna get some macrom plant hangers, Wicker furniture for
- 9:38Speaker 5: the living room, prison cups.
- 9:41Speaker 4: That's right.
- 9:42Speaker 1: You're gonna get a vase and put it next to
- 9:45Speaker 1: a large eighties style painting of a vase. Yes, perfect, perfect,
- 9:50Speaker 1: Then we're good.
- 9:51Speaker 4: And then take a photo of that and then blow
- 9:53Speaker 4: it up and hang that attle.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Yeah there you go. Now I think that works.
- 9:58Speaker 5: And you could wrap the with a picture of flowers.
- 10:04Speaker 4: See, we already got my decorated handled. Yeah, you guys
- 10:07Speaker 4: are awesome.
- 10:09Speaker 2: I feel like we're gonna have to involve James in this.
- 10:11Speaker 4: Oh, of course we gonna turn into.
- 10:14Speaker 5: Some optical illusion. It's gonna be like this unintentional stereogram
- 10:21Speaker 5: A weird.
- 10:22Speaker 4: I cannot see those very well. I feel your pain
- 10:26Speaker 4: on the color blindness. I am ship at stereogram vision.
- 10:30Speaker 1: I do have to like squint my eye that has
- 10:33Speaker 1: the astigmatism and kind of like get it to the
- 10:37Speaker 1: right shape somehow.
- 10:39Speaker 2: So it's weird.
- 10:40Speaker 4: I've never seen a magic eye poster. They're like, you're
- 10:47Speaker 4: just too smart to be tricked. I'm like, no, it's
- 10:49Speaker 4: because my vision. I can't see it.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:52Speaker 5: I found for me that if I take my glasses off,
- 10:57Speaker 5: then I can kind of pretend to look into it
- 10:59Speaker 5: like you're looking into a box. That's the only way
- 11:01Speaker 5: that and like let your eyes go blurry like cross eyes.
- 11:05Speaker 4: I've tried it all.
- 11:08Speaker 5: Yes, some are easy that I've seen an animated one
- 11:11Speaker 5: which was very cool. That's that's pretty amazing.
- 11:17Speaker 2: I want that.
- 11:18Speaker 4: What's up with you, Kristen? Anything new.
- 11:22Speaker 6: Work?
- 11:26Speaker 2: Lash work? Are you wearing a Kennedy Todd? You're being
- 11:30Speaker 2: very right now listen.
- 11:33Speaker 4: Maybe she's warm.
- 11:35Speaker 2: It's fine, and I love it. I don't know if
- 11:37Speaker 2: you've met me assholes.
- 11:39Speaker 1: But I cut all my necks out of my like
- 11:42Speaker 1: rock band shirts, and I intentionally wear them like askew.
- 11:47Speaker 1: So no, no shame. I'm saying that in like a
- 11:51Speaker 1: way to go eighties girl.
- 11:52Speaker 2: I'm proud of you.
- 11:53Speaker 4: I'm so excited.
- 11:55Speaker 1: I'm so scared.
- 11:58Speaker 5: I just can't hide it. Okay, that's a different thing.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Yeah, well, do we want to jump into this beautiful,
- 12:04Speaker 1: beautiful episode because I do have a little bit longer
- 12:07Speaker 1: than usual quiz even totally question.
- 12:10Speaker 3: We got more players, so let's do it all right?
- 12:14Speaker 4: All right, friends, we are on season three, episode six,
- 12:18Speaker 4: Letter to Gorbachev.
- 12:20Speaker 5: Oh.
- 12:21Speaker 4: The original air day October thirty first, nineteen eighty seven.
- 12:24Speaker 4: It aired on Halloween, not in the Halloween episode, but a.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Weird episode, weird for sure.
- 12:29Speaker 4: Directed by Terry Hughes, written by Barry Feraro and mort
- 12:32Speaker 4: Nathan John, Karen Kristen. What is Letter to Gorbachev going
- 12:36Speaker 4: to be about?
- 12:37Speaker 3: The Cold War?
- 12:38Speaker 6: Sophia gets a pen pal?
- 12:40Speaker 4: Sofia gets a pen pell Okay, I like it.
- 12:44Speaker 5: I guess that it's finding some kind of healthy outlet
- 12:48Speaker 5: for Cold War anks.
- 12:49Speaker 4: Can you can you be specific?
- 12:51Speaker 5: Like what character I'm judging by looking at the thumbnail
- 12:54Speaker 5: that it's Rose.
- 12:57Speaker 4: Cheating.
- 12:58Speaker 5: I just pulled it up.
- 12:59Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 13:00Speaker 5: I haven't seen the episode, Karen, what do you think?
- 13:03Speaker 3: Well, I also see the thumbnail. Now so.
- 13:09Speaker 4: Corrupted her?
- 13:10Speaker 3: Yes, I will concur with John.
- 13:12Speaker 2: The borg has assimilated. He just licked her. Thank god,
- 13:24Speaker 2: I looked away.
- 13:27Speaker 7: Okay, Oh Karen, if you need help, I'm not looking again.
- 13:35Speaker 5: At sounds fine, Everything's fine.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Very awkward podcast with me just staring down at my desk,
- 13:45Speaker 1: like this.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Villain?
- 13:48Speaker 4: Who do we think the hardest person for Aaron to
- 13:51Speaker 4: prove to be the villain will be? This episode?
- 13:54Speaker 5: Who's the hardest to prove to Aaron is the villain?
- 13:56Speaker 4: Aaron has to convince us one of the gals is
- 13:59Speaker 4: the villain, and we want.
- 14:00Speaker 6: To make it difficult for her.
- 14:02Speaker 4: Of the episode, one of the main forego, Yeah, we're
- 14:04Speaker 4: trying to make it.
- 14:05Speaker 3: Hard for Oh okay, hmmm, oh so who who?
- 14:10Speaker 5: So it would be the most do we.
- 14:12Speaker 3: Not really think is that the villain?
- 14:14Speaker 4: But we need Aaron exactly use her powers of persuasion.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Right, Honestly, I'm very close to scrapping this feature because
- 14:23Speaker 1: it confuses our guests.
- 14:24Speaker 4: Yeah, we we weren't explaining it. Well, we're trying to
- 14:27Speaker 4: explain it better.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Better.
- 14:29Speaker 3: I think I'm gonna I'm gonna go Rose.
- 14:32Speaker 5: It's actually where was going. Yeah, you know, if you
- 14:36Speaker 5: did want to be working, say who's the hero of
- 14:39Speaker 5: the episode, and then have Aaron disprove it John.
- 14:44Speaker 4: With your logic, I've been damn boy logic man.
- 14:49Speaker 6: Explaining fifty seven episodes in we got it.
- 14:53Speaker 4: Okay, No, thank you, John.
- 14:54Speaker 2: It might work.
- 14:55Speaker 5: That's yeah, I mean it whatever, you know, show.
- 14:59Speaker 1: People, we could even call it it's a Saturday. Yeah,
- 15:04Speaker 1: speaking of villain Saturdays. The villain of this episode, since
- 15:10Speaker 1: we always have uh like Aaron Randolph likes to say
- 15:13Speaker 1: that capitalism is a well that might work for this one, yeah.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Or communism.
- 15:20Speaker 1: But I think the villain of this episode is John
- 15:23Speaker 1: Fink because he licked his wife in a non sexual,
- 15:28Speaker 1: just gross way on screen.
- 15:31Speaker 4: Maybe that's their thing.
- 15:32Speaker 5: Sure, I mean, maybe we're recording this and going to
- 15:36Speaker 5: replay it later. It's fine.
- 15:40Speaker 3: So I have a fun fact about about I'm pivoting.
- 15:53Speaker 3: So I went to the Soviet Union in nineteen eighty eight, Yes,
- 15:59Speaker 3: during Stroika on invitation of mister Gorbachev. My volleyball team.
- 16:05Speaker 4: You met him.
- 16:07Speaker 3: I did not meet him.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Oh wow, wow, But I mean that's so cool.
- 16:12Speaker 4: I mean I wasn't there.
- 16:14Speaker 3: I mean I was seventeen, so it was it was
- 16:17Speaker 3: really an experience. They had us staying at sports camps
- 16:21Speaker 3: and kind of shielded from a lot of what was
- 16:24Speaker 3: really going on. But being at Red Square and seeing
- 16:29Speaker 3: all of the soldiers was really intimidating. But we were
- 16:34Speaker 3: definitely being watched by the KGB. We made some friends
- 16:37Speaker 3: with some of the citizens and then they would like
- 16:40Speaker 3: get a look on their face and scurry away because
- 16:42Speaker 3: they were being watched. So that was a that was
- 16:46Speaker 3: a little a little scary, but we were We were
- 16:50Speaker 3: fine because we were because we were being watched and
- 16:52Speaker 3: nobody was going to let anything happen to us.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Were you being watched in a good way or you
- 16:57Speaker 1: were being watched.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Like they thought you had secret American spy.
- 17:01Speaker 3: And no, no, I don't think there was any concern
- 17:04Speaker 3: that we were going to be uh, you know, spies.
- 17:07Speaker 3: I think they were watching us so that they so
- 17:11Speaker 3: we would only see what they wanted us to see.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Got it.
- 17:13Speaker 4: Yeah, so you trolled the narrative. Yeah, I'm kind of
- 17:18Speaker 4: glad we had to reschedule. This is the perfect guest
- 17:20Speaker 4: for this.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Guys, Now, could you see Sarah Palin's house?
- 17:28Speaker 2: Yes?
- 17:30Speaker 1: Oh, some of our audience is so young they don't
- 17:33Speaker 1: even know the call back to history.
- 17:35Speaker 2: It's fine, it's fine, I'm fine with that.
- 17:38Speaker 4: Are you talking about Wesley maybe?
- 17:43Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 17:44Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe she's so busy.
- 17:47Speaker 3: I often use that reference because we can actually see
- 17:50Speaker 3: our building from many places in San Diego, so it's oh,
- 17:54Speaker 3: I can see my house from here.
- 17:57Speaker 2: All right.
- 17:57Speaker 1: Well, hey everybody, we're gonna go watch the episode now.
- 18:01Speaker 1: I'll change you because if you don't watch it after
- 18:05Speaker 1: these messages from our sponsors, you won't understand the game
- 18:09Speaker 1: we're playing.
- 18:10Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I about her watch it?
- 18:14Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, it was hard for you last week, Gina,
- 18:16Speaker 1: you didn't do so good in the quiz, so maybe
- 18:18Speaker 1: watch this time.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Okay, I'm Pantsel Saren. This is Stevie and I'm Aggie,
- 18:23Speaker 2: and we.
- 18:23Speaker 5: Are because fuck you.
- 18:24Speaker 7: That's why the podcast it's all about playing games and
- 18:27Speaker 7: having fun. Our games are mostly based on British panel
- 18:30Speaker 7: shows or British game shows, but we'll play just about
- 18:32Speaker 7: anything that catches our attention and imagination. Our show is
- 18:36Speaker 7: all about laugh So please come by and have a
- 18:38Speaker 7: great time.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Why because fuck you that's why.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Hey guys, hi, come.
- 18:46Speaker 4: You made it to the other side.
- 18:48Speaker 5: Who thank you for watching an episode?
- 18:52Speaker 4: Oh? I like that.
- 18:53Speaker 2: I liked that.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, we're gonna need some sound drops now, boy. Yeah,
- 19:01Speaker 1: what do you guys think Gina's lying still?
- 19:04Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a good one.
- 19:06Speaker 4: It was an one. It was it was silly. We're
- 19:10Speaker 4: in season three, we can me silly sometimes now.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:13Speaker 5: I feel like it had to have that silliness to
- 19:16Speaker 5: sort of balance the gravity of the subject matter.
- 19:19Speaker 4: Yeah, that could be pretty depressing.
- 19:22Speaker 1: So was it the moment that Rose said that her
- 19:28Speaker 1: kids asked if they're going to grow up?
- 19:31Speaker 2: That you really felt the silliness was needed.
- 19:34Speaker 5: Yeah, that was the I mean they had to have
- 19:36Speaker 5: the padding all around that to drive the point home. Yeah,
- 19:42Speaker 5: to have the spoonful of sugar to make the medicine
- 19:44Speaker 5: go down.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Sophia, it was a lot like lucial Ball in this
- 19:50Speaker 1: because she was trying to get in the show, just
- 19:54Speaker 1: kept coming out with these crazy acts. I felt like
- 19:57Speaker 1: she was channeling Lucy. Well, do you guys want to
- 20:02Speaker 1: jump into our quiz?
- 20:04Speaker 5: Yes?
- 20:05Speaker 1: Yeah, so go ahead, I said, quizzle. So just a reminder,
- 20:12Speaker 1: your name is your buzzer. Please wait till I finish
- 20:16Speaker 1: the entire question. And it's not my fault if anyone
- 20:25Speaker 1: has a singular syllable name. Okay, let's get started.
- 20:31Speaker 2: Here we go. Oh fuck me, I just dropped the.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Pen that makes my thing all right, damn it, God, fox, shit,
- 20:39Speaker 1: damn it.
- 20:40Speaker 5: What happened to your pet? I have a cool pen
- 20:42Speaker 5: right here.
- 20:44Speaker 1: No, no, it makes my tablet, my special tablet work
- 20:47Speaker 1: pooping at.
- 20:50Speaker 2: I don't have a poop pen.
- 20:51Speaker 5: And then he goes like this, yeah.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Yeah he does. All right, cool, all right? Are we ready?
- 21:00Speaker 3: Yep?
- 21:01Speaker 4: Ready?
- 21:02Speaker 1: Question one? What book is Sophia reading?
- 21:08Speaker 6: Kristen? Okay, Magic Made Eraser by David Wilbur.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Say that, Karen, What did you call the book.
- 21:21Speaker 6: Magic Made Eraser?
- 21:23Speaker 2: Karen?
- 21:24Speaker 3: Okay, Karen, Magic made Easier.
- 21:29Speaker 4: You wrote it wrong.
- 21:30Speaker 2: I think you wrote that wrong.
- 21:31Speaker 4: You wrote a little anagram, okay, might be or you
- 21:35Speaker 4: were thinking of a magic eraser like you needed to clean.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Some Okay, well that this.
- 21:41Speaker 4: Is this is I thought maybe you just read it wrong,
- 21:44Speaker 4: that's all I was.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Like, take that again.
- 21:45Speaker 6: I probably read it wrong.
- 21:48Speaker 2: It's okay.
- 21:49Speaker 1: Well that's offer game, guys, going for the kill?
- 21:57Speaker 3: Should you?
- 21:57Speaker 1: Half and half the lions are circling the world ways
- 22:00Speaker 1: all right? What card is in the magic bag?
- 22:06Speaker 4: Karen?
- 22:08Speaker 1: Yes, yes, it's the limmy.
- 22:13Speaker 5: So I knew what it was. I was like.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Dorothy says that today Rose is upset about nuclear war,
- 22:28Speaker 1: but just yesterday she was upset about what Kristen.
- 22:34Speaker 6: Yes, it bubbles the chimp was traveling with Michael Jackson
- 22:38Speaker 6: against his will.
- 22:39Speaker 4: Yes, yay, she did it.
- 22:43Speaker 6: Yeah, you tired today, Christen? No, I was having blood
- 22:47Speaker 6: sugar as she was last night.
- 22:48Speaker 2: And when it makes me a yeah, I'll be okay.
- 22:54Speaker 2: You heard it here, listeners.
- 22:56Speaker 4: That's how you want to beat Kristin.
- 22:59Speaker 1: And fuck with her blood sugar? And you come on,
- 23:02Speaker 1: Maybe let's see how this goes, because now we've now
- 23:05Speaker 1: we've teased you, we've mocked you a little in that
- 23:08Speaker 1: sibling way where you're gonna suddenly like we've ruined this
- 23:12Speaker 1: for everyone by teasing you. Look at you, you're so sad. No,
- 23:17Speaker 1: I'm fine, Okay, let's go. When Rose was eight years old,
- 23:28Speaker 1: what usual child things did she think about Krista China?
- 23:34Speaker 6: Yes, how much money she was going to get from
- 23:37Speaker 6: a two fairy, what present Santa was going to bring?
- 23:39Speaker 6: And if she was going to be the small curd
- 23:41Speaker 6: cottage cheese queen.
- 23:43Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, all right, I would have forgot the third
- 23:46Speaker 4: one anyway.
- 23:49Speaker 6: I love cheese curds. I remember that one.
- 23:51Speaker 4: Wow, I thought it was small curd cottage cheese.
- 23:54Speaker 1: It is speaking of small curd cottage cheese queen. It
- 23:59Speaker 1: was the Sound's biggest honor, right after what Karen John John.
- 24:05Speaker 5: Rose John yea, I you know what, I'm going to
- 24:08Speaker 5: disqualify myself because I.
- 24:12Speaker 4: Question, Oh so Karen, then Karen.
- 24:19Speaker 3: And the small curd cottage cheese Queen was second only
- 24:24Speaker 3: to the large curd cottage cheese Queen.
- 24:27Speaker 1: There it is, okay, okay, next question, who or what
- 24:40Speaker 1: was the second Sophia in the act called Sophia and
- 24:45Speaker 1: Sophia Kristen.
- 24:47Speaker 6: Yes, sock puppet.
- 24:49Speaker 1: Yes, that was the cutest sock puppet was adorable.
- 24:52Speaker 4: You know those little key chains I sent you guys
- 24:54Speaker 4: like I want one love of that?
- 24:56Speaker 1: Yeah, some prop person was very proud of the work.
- 25:01Speaker 4: They lipstick and only he needed a bag hanging off
- 25:09Speaker 4: of it. Somehow it would have been perfect. I don't
- 25:12Speaker 4: think we saw her. Oh no, did we see her bag?
- 25:15Speaker 2: I don't know if she had her bag.
- 25:17Speaker 4: That's unusual for her.
- 25:18Speaker 2: She had a boom.
- 25:19Speaker 4: Box and when she had it in Russia, I don't remember.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Maybe anyway, Well, I wrote down no stump bonus here,
- 25:32Speaker 1: and then it looks like I didn't write the answer down,
- 25:34Speaker 1: but I know roughly, so dazzle me and somehow'll get
- 25:38Speaker 1: a point. Who is Valerie Harper? And what did the
- 25:43Speaker 1: joke reference?
- 25:45Speaker 4: Gina's My time?
- 25:47Speaker 2: Okay?
- 25:48Speaker 4: Gina American actress with her own sitcom named Valerie. She
- 25:53Speaker 4: was fired amid controversial contract negotiations.
- 25:59Speaker 6: Yep, that must be part of your triviah yeah, that's
- 26:03Speaker 6: why I wrote it down.
- 26:04Speaker 4: I want to write it down. No, I love it,
- 26:07Speaker 4: but yeah, so it was referencing like her big fall
- 26:10Speaker 4: from grace, like you used to be on my feet
- 26:13Speaker 4: or you're going back to being on my feet now,
- 26:15Speaker 4: sock puppet.
- 26:16Speaker 6: All right, I got a point.
- 26:22Speaker 4: I think I'm winning.
- 26:23Speaker 2: All right?
- 26:24Speaker 1: So kay, what troop activity is? Rose afraid will be
- 26:30Speaker 1: spoiled by this nuclear nonsense?
- 26:34Speaker 5: John?
- 26:35Speaker 1: Yes, yes, yeah, I camp out in two weeks.
- 26:42Speaker 2: John. John is on the Joy.
- 26:47Speaker 1: I don't think you guys understand that it's either Aron
- 26:50Speaker 1: or Kristen that are going to win this.
- 26:53Speaker 5: I have a score object permanence.
- 26:57Speaker 4: That's right.
- 26:58Speaker 2: Cool, cool, cool, cool cool? All right?
- 27:01Speaker 1: Well, what does one scouts say they were promised.
- 27:04Speaker 2: On the Karen? Sorry, I don't know what to do there.
- 27:09Speaker 1: That was the last word. I don't know I'm gonna
- 27:14Speaker 1: read it.
- 27:18Speaker 4: I mean I was on the last like, that's fine.
- 27:21Speaker 2: I think it's okay, go ahead, okay.
- 27:24Speaker 3: She wanted to pee in the woods.
- 27:26Speaker 2: Yes, oh right.
- 27:27Speaker 1: I thought that was such an interesting point. I don't
- 27:33Speaker 1: really care where I pee, it's just if I'm allowed
- 27:35Speaker 1: to pee.
- 27:36Speaker 2: And that was a very specific.
- 27:39Speaker 4: As a girl, I've never been like, oh, that's what
- 27:41Speaker 4: I want to do.
- 27:41Speaker 5: Squat in the woods.
- 27:44Speaker 4: I imagine as a boy would be fun here, Amana,
- 27:49Speaker 4: have you ever pee in the woods?
- 27:52Speaker 1: You have, Hannah.
- 27:54Speaker 8: It's so good that you are here, because the next
- 27:57Speaker 8: question is my question. Oh perfect, What do the two
- 28:04Speaker 8: girls scout say they want to have on their pizza?
- 28:11Speaker 5: That was John choke carts mushrooms?
- 28:15Speaker 1: Yeah, also weird, Like eight year old, I would, but
- 28:21Speaker 1: I wouldn't as an adult.
- 28:23Speaker 4: But as eight year old.
- 28:25Speaker 2: The choice.
- 28:26Speaker 5: I think their choice was to make them sound like
- 28:28Speaker 5: spoiled kids.
- 28:29Speaker 1: It felt like they were trying.
- 28:30Speaker 4: To yeah, spoiled rich I wants.
- 28:35Speaker 2: They felt like the troop Beverly Hills kids.
- 28:38Speaker 5: Yea, yeah, the one with my mom's uh you know,
- 28:42Speaker 5: lawyer doctor.
- 28:46Speaker 1: All right, next question, how many fingers do you use
- 28:50Speaker 1: for the sunshine salute?
- 28:52Speaker 6: Kristen? Kristen was first, two, Yes, but they weren't.
- 29:02Speaker 2: No, they weren't. No, it's good, it's.
- 29:06Speaker 4: The rock on that's all. John's doing the sailor?
- 29:11Speaker 1: What what happens to Alexi as he is introducing himself
- 29:19Speaker 1: to Dorothy.
- 29:20Speaker 4: And Blanche Risina?
- 29:23Speaker 1: H uh, Chris, I don't know what to do with
- 29:29Speaker 1: your people when you talk at the same time. Let's
- 29:32Speaker 1: give it to Gina. I guess because Kristin has so
- 29:35Speaker 1: many boys.
- 29:37Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 29:38Speaker 4: Well, no, you you guys here, who was first?
- 29:41Speaker 1: Kristen started first, but you both finished at the same time.
- 29:45Speaker 1: So if she shorter, yeah, okay, Kristen.
- 29:53Speaker 2: What is the answer?
- 29:53Speaker 4: How is Kristin shorter than Gina?
- 29:56Speaker 5: Well, it's also because there's a percuss, there's a consonant
- 29:59Speaker 5: and instead of like a slow.
- 30:03Speaker 2: Christ just tell me, what the but on them?
- 30:08Speaker 1: Yeah, if you don't see a lot of adult spit
- 30:12Speaker 1: takes anymore. And I was like, well.
- 30:14Speaker 4: It's gross after COVID it grosses me on.
- 30:19Speaker 3: That it was not a looked like a fanta.
- 30:24Speaker 4: Is that my trivia?
- 30:26Speaker 5: A fanta or a shasta or something?
- 30:28Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 30:30Speaker 4: Oh no, it's triata.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Don't you want to Now?
- 30:37Speaker 1: This next one is hard because we do talk sometimes
- 30:39Speaker 1: through the episodes, so this might be my first point
- 30:42Speaker 1: of the episode.
- 30:43Speaker 2: But I need to know exactly.
- 30:46Speaker 1: The two things that I'm going to ask for here,
- 30:49Speaker 1: so it has to be what they said, not just
- 30:52Speaker 1: a summer like, don't cliff notes me.
- 30:55Speaker 2: What the okay?
- 30:58Speaker 1: What does Gorbachev want to discuss with Rose Kristen.
- 31:03Speaker 6: Yes, nuclear disarmament and world peace.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's exactly the phrase.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Yeah, nuclear and world peace. Yeah, all right, great, no
- 31:15Speaker 1: point for me, that's fucking fine.
- 31:17Speaker 2: All right.
- 31:18Speaker 6: Wow, I'm just sorry you're the only one without point there.
- 31:25Speaker 1: I wish this next question was not a no stump bonus,
- 31:28Speaker 1: but that's okay. This is actually called a no bitch
- 31:32Speaker 1: bonus because this was on the screen for so long
- 31:37Speaker 1: that if you guys didn't know this, you don't deserve
- 31:39Speaker 1: the points, but I'm not going to take a point
- 31:42Speaker 1: for this anyway. Besides Rose, what other political figures are
- 31:48Speaker 1: prominently featured in Moscow?
- 31:52Speaker 5: Sean?
- 31:56Speaker 1: Yes, it was Mark's on the right and Vladimir Lennon
- 32:02Speaker 1: on the left.
- 32:03Speaker 2: And then yeah, yeah.
- 32:10Speaker 1: Well we stared at them for so long during all
- 32:12Speaker 1: their speeches.
- 32:15Speaker 4: Trivia.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Oh well, look, that's not my fault. You didn't do
- 32:19Speaker 1: your assignment before class. Okay, that's.
- 32:25Speaker 2: All right, here we go.
- 32:27Speaker 1: What phrase is Rose repeating when she wakes up from
- 32:31Speaker 1: her dream sequence?
- 32:33Speaker 5: Yeah, John the ad?
- 32:40Speaker 1: Yeah, oh yeah, you guys. John is going to be
- 32:43Speaker 1: like a sneaker wave coming up from behind.
- 32:46Speaker 2: He's gonna like.
- 32:47Speaker 4: Kick settle those eyebrows down, sir, this next one. And
- 32:54Speaker 4: I wish I could do both.
- 32:55Speaker 1: Fingers crossed here. I hope this might be my first point.
- 32:59Speaker 1: I how does Steve Maxwell put on his pants?
- 33:03Speaker 2: Oh, Karen, I don't know. I don't know. It was
- 33:07Speaker 2: so hard you started moving.
- 33:09Speaker 6: It was one of the things.
- 33:10Speaker 4: I thought it was John.
- 33:12Speaker 1: I don't know if it was John or Karen. I
- 33:15Speaker 1: love John, Okay, Karen, may I.
- 33:17Speaker 5: May be getting this wrong, but he does both legs
- 33:22Speaker 5: with a little kickstep in a jump.
- 33:25Speaker 2: Oh, that's right.
- 33:26Speaker 1: He he likes to hop in both legs at at
- 33:29Speaker 1: the same time. Yeah, all right, John, he's gonna win.
- 33:33Speaker 1: It's gonna happen. Kristen predicted.
- 33:36Speaker 4: This is he ahead.
- 33:39Speaker 2: Oh, I don't do math. That's not my job.
- 33:41Speaker 6: That's not quite close.
- 33:45Speaker 1: What is where we act?
- 33:47Speaker 4: Where we at?
- 33:48Speaker 6: Karen has zero?
- 33:49Speaker 5: Fuck?
- 33:49Speaker 1: You not necessary has one?
- 33:55Speaker 6: Yes, Karen has four. John has five, and I have six.
- 34:00Speaker 4: So these are a lot of questions. How many more
- 34:04Speaker 4: we got?
- 34:05Speaker 1: Oh god, it's quite literally anyone's game except mine or
- 34:08Speaker 1: genus because there are four.
- 34:09Speaker 2: There's four left.
- 34:10Speaker 4: All right, all right, I'll just sit down.
- 34:15Speaker 2: That's fine.
- 34:17Speaker 1: I don't have any points in case you didn't get
- 34:19Speaker 1: that earlier.
- 34:22Speaker 2: Based on her letter, how many points do you? None?
- 34:28Speaker 4: Zero?
- 34:29Speaker 1: Zero, zero, She's sure at the end you tell everyone
- 34:34Speaker 1: I lost too, like last week.
- 34:36Speaker 2: That'll be fun.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Okay, uh? Based on her letter? How old does Russia
- 34:42Speaker 1: think Karen.
- 34:45Speaker 6: Kristo, I didn't know.
- 34:47Speaker 4: What the question was.
- 34:49Speaker 5: I know what it is, but I didn't based.
- 34:51Speaker 4: On her letters? How oh how old are they?
- 34:53Speaker 6: How old do they think?
- 34:54Speaker 5: She is?
- 34:55Speaker 3: Said my name too fast?
- 34:57Speaker 4: So we should give it to Kristen.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Tempted to give it to Karen because Kristen keeps shaming
- 35:05Speaker 1: my low score when that point is for you guys
- 35:08Speaker 1: to do well, not me. So in a punitive way,
- 35:11Speaker 1: we're going to give Chris.
- 35:12Speaker 2: We're going to hold your tongue.
- 35:17Speaker 1: Karen, go ahead, I love you, I love you both.
- 35:21Speaker 3: The answer is nine or ten?
- 35:26Speaker 4: Karen feel awkward?
- 35:27Speaker 2: Oh no, don't feel awkward.
- 35:28Speaker 4: Fine, I'm trying to hide.
- 35:32Speaker 1: I feel bad because I put a lot of pregnant
- 35:34Speaker 1: pauses in my talking. And I've noticed now that I'm
- 35:37Speaker 1: editing temporarily for Gina that I like. Right there, I
- 35:41Speaker 1: took three unnecessary pauses that I'm going to have to
- 35:43Speaker 1: edit out, so it's not whoa anyway. I said, yeah, look,
- 35:50Speaker 1: I just made more work for myself. So a little
- 35:53Speaker 1: bit of this is my cadence, and I understand that.
- 35:55Speaker 2: So it was I don't I.
- 35:57Speaker 4: Don't like punitively punishing Chris.
- 36:00Speaker 1: Wait till you can you get a bonus. It's like
- 36:05Speaker 1: Christin gets a bonus point for how cute her toppers
- 36:07Speaker 1: are done.
- 36:08Speaker 4: They are pretty cute. Actually, what were you.
- 36:11Speaker 5: Saying, John, I was gonna say, just speaking of editing,
- 36:14Speaker 5: just wait till you have to do that for eight
- 36:15Speaker 5: hours a day voice and edit ums and us and
- 36:20Speaker 5: do interviews and then process that quickly under like a
- 36:23Speaker 5: minute's long deadline, and.
- 36:25Speaker 4: You realize you're saying on and you're like, why did
- 36:28Speaker 4: I say us much?
- 36:30Speaker 5: Well, and the part of it is that you have
- 36:31Speaker 5: to give yourself a little bit of permission to do
- 36:34Speaker 5: that because it makes you comfortable. But the real trick
- 36:37Speaker 5: is just to learn to visually recognize the waveforms and
- 36:41Speaker 5: then you can jump jump to them.
- 36:43Speaker 2: I have, Yeah, I.
- 36:46Speaker 5: Know exactly what my breaths look like and what my
- 36:49Speaker 5: lockouts look like everything, and I can just jump right
- 36:52Speaker 5: to them.
- 36:53Speaker 4: Yeah, it's not a mean thing, Aaron. It just means
- 36:56Speaker 4: I've seen them.
- 36:57Speaker 1: No, look, I get it. You're doing the Lord's work
- 37:03Speaker 1: usually just.
- 37:03Speaker 4: An interesting thing, and yeah you're saying it now.
- 37:06Speaker 5: All right, here we go.
- 37:07Speaker 2: Let's go. Last three questions. I think yes, last three.
- 37:11Speaker 1: Questions win, yep, okay out It is still anyone but
- 37:17Speaker 1: Aaron's game, okay. Dorothy offers three things to Alexi from
- 37:22Speaker 1: the kitchen. The first two are coffee and tea. What
- 37:26Speaker 1: is the third item? Gina John was first, Yes, Okay,
- 37:35Speaker 1: what kind of animal did Uncle Gustav get drunk and
- 37:38Speaker 1: tried to milk Kirsten? Fuck Karen?
- 37:42Speaker 4: That was Karen.
- 37:43Speaker 2: That was Karen.
- 37:44Speaker 1: It was speedy.
- 37:45Speaker 3: Yeah, go ahead, porcupine.
- 37:48Speaker 4: Yes, I mean if they have young I imagine you
- 37:52Speaker 4: could milk them. I have nipples, Greg could me?
- 38:03Speaker 1: Okay? Last question? Is there a chance?
- 38:09Speaker 5: Like?
- 38:09Speaker 1: What are we at now? I gotta know that this
- 38:13Speaker 1: zero for Aaron?
- 38:14Speaker 2: Thank you?
- 38:14Speaker 4: What do you want?
- 38:16Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 38:17Speaker 2: What are the rest that you have?
- 38:19Speaker 6: We have six?
- 38:24Speaker 4: Like tense music here?
- 38:26Speaker 1: This is a stupiday.
- 38:31Speaker 5: That's the wrong music. I'm so sorry.
- 38:35Speaker 1: Okay, hang on, am I in a late nineties Starbucks?
- 38:38Speaker 3: Right now?
- 38:40Speaker 5: All I have is that? All I have is that
- 38:41Speaker 5: in horror Mo movie.
- 38:43Speaker 4: That's all right, No, it's fine, all right, this is exciting.
- 38:47Speaker 1: Okay, I'm staring at you, guys.
- 38:52Speaker 4: I'm gonna listen to because I know I can't win,
- 38:54Speaker 4: so I'm gonna help her.
- 38:57Speaker 1: Who calls Rose on the phone, Kristen, Yes, Sophia as
- 39:03Speaker 1: President Reagan?
- 39:05Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, yeah, that was amazing, you guys, that was
- 39:14Speaker 4: so good.
- 39:14Speaker 2: That was fun.
- 39:15Speaker 4: Oh yeah, she's happy now she want right, And.
- 39:20Speaker 1: Obviously you guys really really didn't nap After that one.
- 39:27Speaker 4: I thought every name was gonna get like Johnathan John Carracks.
- 39:32Speaker 2: That was wild.
- 39:33Speaker 3: Knew I knew the answer, but I just I just
- 39:35Speaker 3: couldn't trigger.
- 39:37Speaker 2: Yeah happens. I gotta go quick with this one. Man,
- 39:42Speaker 2: she is.
- 39:44Speaker 3: I get so nervous. I'm gonna interrupt before you're done.
- 39:47Speaker 6: But that's a lot of points for you guys for
- 39:49Speaker 6: this season because we taken the the cumulative points, so.
- 39:56Speaker 4: Win the Golden aspect or whatever we're making this year.
- 40:00Speaker 2: Gold Oh wow, I wonder if I could do that.
- 40:04Speaker 6: Oh gosh, do you know?
- 40:05Speaker 4: What did you do? Or a Vienna sausage can spray pain?
- 40:10Speaker 6: Oh we've talked about that a lot.
- 40:14Speaker 1: I'm I'm actual.
- 40:15Speaker 4: Can We don't want to offend John.
- 40:16Speaker 5: You could do it a vegan version with like Agar flakes.
- 40:20Speaker 4: There you go, Agar the orable.
- 40:22Speaker 5: That's right, having a big seaweed aspect.
- 40:26Speaker 2: It's weird. I've lost my can of Vienna sausage again.
- 40:30Speaker 5: Sounds like a personal problem.
- 40:31Speaker 6: It's floating around the house somewhere.
- 40:34Speaker 1: I was here again because I took a picture.
- 40:36Speaker 4: We decided it was a ghost that falls around.
- 40:39Speaker 5: Yeah, floating around a.
- 40:44Speaker 1: Careful though you get that jelly on your hand. All right,
- 40:48Speaker 1: do you have some very fun exciting trivia for us,
- 40:51Speaker 1: Miss Lee?
- 40:51Speaker 6: No, I mean yeah, off the press.
- 40:54Speaker 2: Yeah. Super.
- 40:55Speaker 4: What I do is I write down the stuff that's
- 40:59Speaker 4: the main trivia, and and as we go through the
- 41:00Speaker 4: episode references I can get. Oh, it's not like I forgot. Okay, okay,
- 41:09Speaker 4: So we have Alan Rich was Alexi. He was on
- 41:13Speaker 4: Quiz Show and Serpaco and Amistad. Cynthia Mary King was Nancy.
- 41:20Speaker 4: She was on Who's the Bolls. Edwin Newman, the reporter guy,
- 41:25Speaker 4: was himself. He was in Pelican Brief and My Fellow Americans.
- 41:31Speaker 4: Jacqueline Bernstein was Linda. She was on Family Ties and
- 41:35Speaker 4: Dumb and Dummer. Stephen Craig was a news reporter. He
- 41:39Speaker 4: was unmarried with children. So this was inspired by the
- 41:43Speaker 4: story of Samantha Smith, a girl from Maine. In nineteen
- 41:47Speaker 4: eighty three, she wrote a letter to Soviet Premier Yuri
- 41:51Speaker 4: Andropov about nuclear war Sorry Sorry. She was invited to
- 41:57Speaker 4: the USSR to speak with him her letter, So sorry.
- 42:04Speaker 4: Smith later starred in a show called Lime Street, which
- 42:07Speaker 4: aired as competition to The Golden Girls, which I found
- 42:10Speaker 4: very interesting.
- 42:11Speaker 5: Lime Street, but I.
- 42:12Speaker 4: Never heard of that show.
- 42:13Speaker 2: No, I've not heard of that show.
- 42:16Speaker 4: In the In the dream sequence, Sophia references riding to
- 42:20Speaker 4: Moscow with a German guy on a plane.
- 42:23Speaker 1: Yes, this is that, Okay.
- 42:25Speaker 4: This is a reference to Matthias Rust who in nineteen
- 42:29Speaker 4: eighty seven flew a light aircraft from Helsinki, Finland, to Moscow,
- 42:34Speaker 4: landing near the Red Square. He meant it as a
- 42:37Speaker 4: mission of peace, but their air defense was pissed. I
- 42:43Speaker 4: don't interesting John made a noise like he remembered it.
- 42:46Speaker 5: I remember that he landed like pretty close to Red
- 42:48Speaker 5: Square and they snatched them up pretty quickly.
- 42:52Speaker 2: Did he die?
- 42:55Speaker 5: They locked them up as still there.
- 43:01Speaker 4: If you remember. When Rose wakes up, she mentions they
- 43:03Speaker 4: wore fake for coats, and that specifically was because all
- 43:07Speaker 4: four of them were animal lovers and activists, so they
- 43:09Speaker 4: wanted it to be like, no, we were wearing fake
- 43:11Speaker 4: for nice. Let's see Blanche is singing of Happy Birthday, obviously,
- 43:16Speaker 4: references Marilyn Monroe's rendition to JFK. Also, it does not
- 43:21Speaker 4: snow in June in Moscow, so that was that is true.
- 43:25Speaker 3: I was in Moscow range thank you.
- 43:30Speaker 4: On the ground when Blanche spits. They say it's coke,
- 43:35Speaker 4: but the Kansas Shasta. Oh I did ever, so you
- 43:38Speaker 4: guys caught that. We talked about Valerie Harper. They mentioned
- 43:42Speaker 4: Doctor Chivago, which is a story set in Russia during
- 43:45Speaker 4: World War One.
- 43:46Speaker 6: A great movie.
- 43:47Speaker 2: I've not seen it, fucking Rose.
- 43:50Speaker 4: And then they mentioned Jerry Folwell going down a water slide.
- 43:56Speaker 4: In September of eighty seven, Jerry Folwell rode the Typhoon,
- 44:00Speaker 4: a sixty foot water slide at Jim Baker's Heritage USA
- 44:04Speaker 4: theme park. He had promised to do it if they
- 44:06Speaker 4: raised a million dollars, which they did the end.
- 44:12Speaker 3: I have a fun fact. It's not about the show.
- 44:17Speaker 3: It's a personal fact. But when I was twelve, I
- 44:20Speaker 3: wrote a letter to President Reagan about what I had
- 44:25Speaker 3: seen an episode of I think it was That's incredible,
- 44:30Speaker 3: And they were showing how the US meant would destroy
- 44:35Speaker 3: the used dollars and take them out of circulation once
- 44:39Speaker 3: they became, you know, too damaged to pass. And so
- 44:44Speaker 3: I wrote a letter to President Reagan and asked him
- 44:46Speaker 3: why he didn't just give all of that money to
- 44:48Speaker 3: the poor people.
- 44:53Speaker 4: I understand it.
- 44:55Speaker 3: I actually got a letter back from one of his
- 44:58Speaker 3: aides explaining to me how worked.
- 45:00Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, but you're very sweet.
- 45:07Speaker 6: Oh yeah, I like that.
- 45:09Speaker 4: I like that horrible awesome. God, you're so lovable. We
- 45:16Speaker 4: need a we need a Karen plushed all. We can
- 45:18Speaker 4: all have the thing.
- 45:23Speaker 2: It can go on.
- 45:24Speaker 9: It would just what, I don't know, you're talking?
- 45:27Speaker 1: You leaning in unacceptable callback?
- 45:33Speaker 4: Does he do that too often? Does he put a
- 45:35Speaker 4: handle on you?
- 45:37Speaker 5: You know?
- 45:38Speaker 8: I like.
- 45:40Speaker 3: It's more of a surprise thing.
- 45:42Speaker 4: Then does you run around the house jump on your
- 45:44Speaker 4: lap like handah?
- 45:46Speaker 3: Sometimes?
- 45:49Speaker 4: No, thank you try to follow you in the bathroom
- 45:51Speaker 4: like wait here.
- 45:52Speaker 1: Well that is actually a thing that happens a taller human.
- 45:59Speaker 1: So I feel like if John's giant body jumped on me,
- 46:03Speaker 1: I would die because he's so tall and the weight
- 46:07Speaker 1: of his bones would stab me.
- 46:09Speaker 5: I have accidently given somebody a concussion.
- 46:13Speaker 1: See look, I'm basically because of my fat and the
- 46:19Speaker 1: zep bound mixture and the loosening bits of my body, I'm.
- 46:22Speaker 2: Like a squish mallow.
- 46:24Speaker 1: So I just think John's frame would just puncture me
- 46:27Speaker 1: and I would die.
- 46:29Speaker 2: That's you.
- 46:29Speaker 6: Just you just start leaking fluids for stuffing, Yeah, stuffing
- 46:34Speaker 6: for a turtlesh mellow for you.
- 46:37Speaker 1: I don't think they do turtles, do they, because they're
- 46:40Speaker 1: kind of shaped like jelly be.
- 46:41Speaker 6: You can do custom ones with pictures of people and stuff.
- 46:45Speaker 4: That's one of those.
- 46:46Speaker 2: It costs more than three dollars.
- 46:48Speaker 4: So no, that's one of those, plushes that you heat
- 46:51Speaker 4: up in the microwave. That was a turtle.
- 46:53Speaker 1: Oh yeah, okay, well this is since we introduced you
- 46:58Speaker 1: to my other la Boo boo, Well, no, thank you
- 47:02Speaker 1: be this well, actually I don't know, John, Yeah, we
- 47:05Speaker 1: gotta introduced to one boob.
- 47:06Speaker 2: This is fucking blur shit.
- 47:09Speaker 1: This was my uh little boo boo hope, who I
- 47:12Speaker 1: named obi Wan because.
- 47:14Speaker 2: He's my only Yeah, gotcha, all right, nope.
- 47:19Speaker 1: But this guy was what I really wanted, and I
- 47:22Speaker 1: got the rare limited edition one. His name's flame Clown,
- 47:26Speaker 1: and he's sad.
- 47:27Speaker 9: And he's like he's got a little like doblin hair,
- 47:33Speaker 9: his eyes are two different colored like practical magic, and
- 47:37Speaker 9: then he's got a scar on the top of his
- 47:39Speaker 9: head and little pump pums on his shoes.
- 47:42Speaker 1: So understand, people don't want this one. So I paid
- 47:48Speaker 1: less than I paid for the one that I made
- 47:50Speaker 1: a profit on for him on eBay because people were
- 47:54Speaker 1: essentially like trying to give these away at like fifteen
- 47:57Speaker 1: dollars less than I paid for the one I old.
- 48:00Speaker 1: So I was like, he can live here on my
- 48:02Speaker 1: desk and be sad with me.
- 48:05Speaker 3: He looks like extra raggedy Andy.
- 48:08Speaker 4: Yeah, ratchet Andy.
- 48:12Speaker 1: You don't see a lot of sad clowns. And typically
- 48:15Speaker 1: when I do end up pulling the trigger and buying
- 48:18Speaker 1: like a clown or something that it's something like this
- 48:22Speaker 1: where he's sad, his eyes are different colors.
- 48:24Speaker 4: He's just is that you're thinking like sad clowns.
- 48:27Speaker 1: Not always because like the scruffy beard hobo clowns are
- 48:33Speaker 1: not as like exciting to me, but like his little anyway,
- 48:38Speaker 1: look what you know what?
- 48:40Speaker 4: I just asking you what you likes? Talk about your
- 48:44Speaker 4: again and just wow, villain, how about that talk about.
- 48:51Speaker 2: Let's talk about right?
- 48:54Speaker 1: No, I got nothing. I couldn't continue the song that time. Sorry,
- 48:57Speaker 1: all right in your house. So here is the Rose
- 49:02Speaker 1: villain list that I made during this show. First of all,
- 49:09Speaker 1: just straight off the bat, she didn't let the girls
- 49:13Speaker 1: pee in the woods, and that's important to them, So
- 49:18Speaker 1: that's on here.
- 49:21Speaker 2: Then we have the problematic.
- 49:23Speaker 6: Woods they weren't in the woods.
- 49:26Speaker 1: They were supposed to go on a camp out, but
- 49:28Speaker 1: it got canceled because of the rain, so they were
- 49:29Speaker 1: supposed to be like.
- 49:31Speaker 6: In But if they had been able to go to
- 49:34Speaker 6: the woods, she probably would have let them pe in
- 49:36Speaker 6: the woods.
- 49:37Speaker 1: Oh God, Kristen, all right, don't worry, I have plenty more.
- 49:46Speaker 1: The problematic use of the word Indian repetitively.
- 49:51Speaker 4: Dress great.
- 49:55Speaker 1: Back in point was the Native American headdress and her
- 50:00Speaker 1: going not okay even then that probably was already I
- 50:07Speaker 1: was like, fuck, yeah, well I did it so that
- 50:10Speaker 1: the audience who listens to our show that doesn't watch
- 50:13Speaker 1: the episodes.
- 50:14Speaker 2: Would know what we were talking about.
- 50:17Speaker 4: That adience.
- 50:19Speaker 1: The rose makes the camp out still happen, but has
- 50:22Speaker 1: it in the living room, and then won't let the
- 50:25Speaker 1: girls watch MTV. Just let him watch the TV. Man,
- 50:32Speaker 1: you put a tent in your living room. You're like
- 50:34Speaker 1: a thousand. These kids think you're a thousand because they're kids.
- 50:41Speaker 1: Then she encourages lying for a brief moment, and only
- 50:47Speaker 1: when her kid or the troop kid is like Linda,
- 50:51Speaker 1: Little Linda says, will.
- 50:53Speaker 4: I still get by?
- 50:56Speaker 1: Oh cool? A nine year old had to tell you
- 50:59Speaker 1: to not be fucking liar. It's not the nine year
- 51:02Speaker 1: old's fault. You write letters like a nine year old.
- 51:04Speaker 1: But okay, then.
- 51:06Speaker 2: Jesus, let's see hear.
- 51:10Speaker 1: Oh, then she tells Sophia her act was stinky. You
- 51:15Speaker 1: expect the other two to be shitty, but Rose shouldn't
- 51:18Speaker 1: be a bitch.
- 51:20Speaker 5: Maybe that was the best she could be as far
- 51:23Speaker 5: as criticism, because he just wanted to fit in.
- 51:26Speaker 1: Maybe it's possible. But here's the real villain. The final
- 51:30Speaker 1: thing is, we all know how serious Russia is. Right,
- 51:34Speaker 1: so finger quotes here, Dave formerly known as Alexi has
- 51:39Speaker 1: to start a new fucking life in Miami because he
- 51:42Speaker 1: has been politically and career wise embarrassed by an old
- 51:48Speaker 1: woman with the mental capacity of a nine year old child.
- 51:54Speaker 6: He should have done his research.
- 51:55Speaker 4: It's kind of him for nothing.
- 51:57Speaker 5: Also, who's to say he wouldn't have tried that same
- 52:00Speaker 5: thing even if it was a nine year old that
- 52:02Speaker 5: had written that.
- 52:04Speaker 4: Right, Well, I want to get out of Russia.
- 52:07Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, I mean maybe, But also it's Rose's fault.
- 52:11Speaker 4: Okay, it was a hard one. I mean, Aaron has
- 52:16Speaker 4: this stretch.
- 52:17Speaker 1: Yeah, look sometimes your help me.
- 52:23Speaker 6: Sorry, what Armstrong, stretch, arm strong.
- 52:28Speaker 2: Colored caramelo here, Jesse Striano.
- 52:33Speaker 1: Unbelievable the ship. You're so comfortable now.
- 52:38Speaker 5: Mm hmm, how dare you be comfortable?
- 52:43Speaker 6: Nervous following lady for you?
- 52:47Speaker 2: No, no, I don't want you to be angry. I
- 52:49Speaker 2: just don't want you to know. I don't want you
- 52:51Speaker 2: to think that you can be mean to me on
- 52:53Speaker 2: a regular basis.
- 52:57Speaker 1: Look at hennah Oh, she says, she's trying to get
- 53:04Speaker 1: those kisses. I see the little tongue wagon like the
- 53:07Speaker 1: shadow of the tongue.
- 53:11Speaker 2: Mom.
- 53:12Speaker 4: I want to lick you like that?
- 53:13Speaker 6: Did?
- 53:17Speaker 2: Abby's out cold? She is not interested. Okay, Wow, she
- 53:23Speaker 2: will probably have to go prepare a cheesecake soon.
- 53:27Speaker 5: That's a good point.
- 53:28Speaker 2: What anyone else?
- 53:30Speaker 1: Any thoughts, efforts conversations to be had about the episode.
- 53:37Speaker 4: No, John had said it was a great way to
- 53:41Speaker 4: mix in the hard m h the subject matter with
- 53:48Speaker 4: They made it nice to swallow, yes or just the.
- 53:53Speaker 2: Chicken here, I can't do I love it all right.
- 53:58Speaker 1: Well, so Hannah seems like she needs some super fun
- 54:02Speaker 1: loves and kisses. And honestly, I'm so defeated from my
- 54:07Speaker 1: zero points in the quiz that I think what we
- 54:11Speaker 1: should do is ask our guests where people can find
- 54:14Speaker 1: them on the interwebs.
- 54:16Speaker 5: Ah, ladies, first, oh, latest, first is first? All right,
- 54:24Speaker 5: what's up? First?
- 54:26Speaker 2: First?
- 54:28Speaker 5: Caught in your little Oh no, her arms, caught in
- 54:30Speaker 5: your little thing? Here? Okay, there we go. All right,
- 54:32Speaker 5: you're good. You can hear you can hear me on
- 54:38Speaker 5: appropriately labeled The Fink Show. I know it's news to

- 56:37Speaker 4: Jesake.
- 56:39Speaker 3: Yeah, Hannah, do cut.
- 56:43Speaker 1: Also mess her James. I'm not a cad, I'm a dog.
- 56:48Speaker 4: Does Hannah like the Frosty Paws a little doggie ice cream?
- 56:52Speaker 5: I don't think she's that.
- 56:54Speaker 1: Oh oh, I get it for Abby at this one
- 56:56Speaker 1: ice cream place up here, they said they had their
- 56:58Speaker 1: own ice cream. It was a lie, it's frosty paus,
- 57:00Speaker 1: But then we found out she liked it, So.
- 57:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll have to try it to that she would
- 57:07Speaker 3: like it because it involves a lot of licking.
- 57:09Speaker 4: Yes, hire her liquor out.
- 57:12Speaker 5: That's right.
- 57:12Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 57:13Speaker 1: Maybe that's where John got it from. That's why I
- 57:15Speaker 1: had to lick you. Too much time with Hannah.
- 57:22Speaker 3: You thinks i'me ice cream going.
- 57:24Speaker 2: I licked it.
- 57:24Speaker 6: It's mine.
- 57:25Speaker 2: I'm not
- 57:27Speaker 1: Okay, Well, this is my microphone, so I'll just
