- 0:07[SPEAKER_07]: Welcome to the Dog's Podcast, with your hosts, Lake Renaker, Justin Charles, and Josh All.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_02]: What's up Browns fans?
- 0:19[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome back to the episode of the Dog's Podcast.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_02]: Coming to you on a sorrowful Sunday evening, Browns lose to the 49ers to 26 to 8.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_02]: It ends up being a lopsided score.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_02]: Honestly, it was a really good game for a half.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_02]: If games were only 30 minutes long, the Browns would have been winners in this one, but unfortunately they play 60 minutes and we're not able to put 60 minutes together against good teams this season.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_02]: So Browns suffered tough one.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to get into everything today what we saw the offense defense special teams.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously it wasn't great.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_02]: There was, I guess.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_02]: there were some good things and you know it wasn't all bad but like overall it just wasn't another it was just a poor game by the browns which it really sucks because it's one of those games where it's like like if you can somehow pull off one against the Niners and you got the Titans come to town next week or you know the worst team in football right now all the sudden you're staring at the three-game winch streak and it's like well hey you know bangles just beat the ravens we'd only be two games out of first place and we play next week like possibly pick
- 1:26[SPEAKER_02]: That's done.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_02]: They're good.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_02]: In theory, we're still alive in the division, because the Steelers are having their annual collapse and the Raiders are the Ravens just like garbage against the bangles, but we're in no way able to compete with any quality team.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_02]: There's, there's not going to be any sticking to the plaza for this team.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_02]: The little bit of hope that gave us with a win against the Raiders last week was short-lived.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to get into everything.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_02]: We have Kenny Macjoining us here tonight because nobody knows if Justin Charles is alive.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_02]: So if you guys have seen Justin, tell him the text us or let us know because I haven't heard his voice or anything and I don't even know how long.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_02]: So you can get it.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_02]: Justin, if you're out there, where are you going to send it?
- 2:07[SPEAKER_02]: Smoke signals from the island you're stranded on or there's something will sound somebody to come get you So if anybody knows we're just in Charles.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_02]: It's dumb to let us know that he's okay I've got any mac here tonight.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, and speaking of Kenny Mac we have this is essentially This is the last day of November to help out his November campaign is to like tonight the official cut off Kenny
- 2:29[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, as the official cutoff and you know guys just get that final push in there.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_09]: You want to help guys live longer.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know if you know this, but guys die actually 4.9 years earlier than women do it's super preventable and there's 5 different ways that you can actually other than supporting me of course and supporting the cause, but this is just for you to to take with you, right?
- 2:53[SPEAKER_09]: so you can make a difference doing this.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_09]: You can hang around people that make you feel good.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_09]: So while you guys make me feel good, maybe we might have to cut the browns out.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know about that.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_09]: Talk more.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_09]: Be open.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_09]: You know, check in, speak honestly.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_09]: You'll find that we're going to do that tonight.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_09]: Know the numbers, blood pressure, PSA.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_09]: You guys got to know your cholesterol.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_09]: Like the older we get, that stuff's important.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_09]: check your middle region prostate testicles, man.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_09]: Those are the two boys sing.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_09]: Why guys die, right?
- 3:24[SPEAKER_09]: I know today felt like a hoof in the nuts, but Forget through it today and last but not least guys you have to keep moving.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_09]: We're all sitting around.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_09]: We're watching the game today Might add a couple of pints, but get out to the gym tomorrow get moving and get after it, but I got really good news
- 3:42[SPEAKER_09]: I know the Browns went home losers today, but for all those that support me, we went home winners because I wanted to collect $2,500.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_09]: We did $3,000 over $3,000 now.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_09]: So if you see that most space come and give some money and help some guys out, help everybody live a little bit longer.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_09]: You know, and I really appreciate you guys helping me out and getting there.

- 4:10[SPEAKER_09]: I've had a bunch of you guys.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_09]: There's some names in there that I don't know who they are.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_09]: So I would assume it to you guys.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_09]: So thanks so much from the bottom of my heart.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_09]: I really appreciate it.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, thank you guys to everybody who support this is I think our fourth or fifth year helping Kenny out promote his move member campaign.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_02]: I think we've hit the goal every year.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_02]: So that's all because of you guys and we we really appreciate that.

- 5:00[SPEAKER_02]: It's join the dogs.com, become an official dog pack member.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_02]: So tough one today for the Browns, we'll kind of give our initial thoughts before we get to some of these voicemails.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_02]: A couple keys to the game for me as I was looking through this.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_02]: If you look at just the numbers, if you leave a couple of them out, the Browns on paper you're like, this was a close game.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_02]: We had 15 passing first downs, they had 19.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_02]: We only had four penalties.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_02]: They had three time of possession was almost split right down the middle.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_02]: We had it for 29 minutes and 50 seconds.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_02]: They had it for 30 minutes and 10 seconds passing stats were almost identical.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_02]: We had some garbage time passing stats, but we actually rushed for more yards.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_02]: We had more total yards than they did.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_02]: but when you break it down to the to the keys to the game of how does it end up a 26 to eight lopsided score where halfway through the third quarter is like we had no shot in this game.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_02]: turnovers, poor special teams play, and we were 3 of 11 on 3rd down and 04 on 4th down while the 9th is where 11 of 17 on 3rd down.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_02]: Is great as the defense played in the first half, we could not get off the field for basically this entire game on 3rd down, and it killed us.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_02]: It killed the defense.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_02]: They were on the the time of possession was split down the middle for the game, but we did some quick mental math here before we jumped on.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_02]: We had about four or five more minutes of time of possession in them in the first half.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_02]: So for them to come back and make it even they had to have the ball 10 minutes longer than us in the second half.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_02]: we just could not get out the field between them being 11 to 17 on 3rd down, our muffed punt, turning it over on downs, not being able, you know, going 3 and out.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_02]: We just, we, we were never on the field.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_02]: I texted Josh in, in, in Justin, if he has a phone still, today, we were into the fourth quarter and I said, guys, and let's have forgetting something, I think we've only had the ball 10 plays this half and we're, we're, we're, we're,
- 7:07[SPEAKER_02]: four minutes into the fourth quarter.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_02]: It was it was like by the time we started we actually got the ball with any kind of consistency the game was out of reach.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_02]: It was it was over.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_02]: It was just
- 7:19[SPEAKER_02]: And we played them so tough in the first half.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_02]: And as well as we played in the first half, that's how poorly in my opinion, essentially all three phases played in the second half.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_02]: Well, we obviously, especially when we're the worst and often it's bad, the defense just couldn't get off the field.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_05]: You said before we kind of went into the whole, you know, you're still here for the game that if the game had been 30 minutes, the Brownwood Browns were to come out winners.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_05]: Technically, no, we were still losing at halftime,
- 7:49[SPEAKER_05]: Why?
- 7:50[SPEAKER_05]: Special teams, 66 yards punt return.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_05]: How many times are we going to watch our team?
- 7:55[SPEAKER_05]: Our special teams give up these huge returns every week.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_05]: And then like you said gauge Lava Dan must not one but two puns today.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_05]: He fell on the first one, lost the second one.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_05]: And then you got Malachi Corley.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_05]: What in the are you doing?
- 8:09[SPEAKER_05]: How does a professional
- 8:11[SPEAKER_05]: football player who is in the return game.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_05]: Not no to let a ball go out of bounds.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_02]: Here's what's crazy is I maybe have Mr. Remembering, but when he was with the jets or or I'm fairly certain there is a time where like he laid on the ground and put a foot out of bounds and then reached out and touched the ball so that it was like a super heads up.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_05]: He did something
- 8:38[SPEAKER_05]: I thought it was smart.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_05]: Like him, I don't know.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_09]: He basically fumbled the ball before he crossed the line with the jads.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_09]: That was the dumb one.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, that's what he must've been somebody else who did the, the smart one.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_02]: But it's, of all the plays in this game, that's the one that pissed me off the most.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_05]: That's a, that's a 30 yards wing.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_02]: that killed your drive you got to it's bad it's they said that in the second half the conditions were worsening as the game went on so you got a rookie quarterback in his second start who's missing now his right tackle and his right guard he's playing Levittston in uh ten Jenkins in their on the offensive line um and then you back us up because you can if who knows what happens if that ball starts at the forty the whole playbooks open when you're starting at the seven you're
- 9:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we could just drop back it, but in throw, but if we throw an intersection on the first play everybody's just can be screaming about how we're not running the ball Why would you run that with a rookie quarterback and it's just that that killed any shot as soon as that happened.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_02]: I said this is gonna be a three now.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_02]: I know that this is gonna be a three now
- 9:43[SPEAKER_09]: do the field position game in this like I just couldn't comprehend it even like a small thing okay like we go forward on fourth down in the first quarter and we should have kicked a field goal we could have been up 11 to 10 at half time.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_09]: you know, and there's just the, we went forward on fourth down four times.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_09]: We need anything out of it.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_09]: We turn the ball over, we put the defense in terrible field position, we muff a punt, you know, give them a 16-yard drive so they can get the touchdown to get into the game.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_09]: I think overall off turnover is correct me if I'm wrong.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_09]: There's 13 points off turnover, and those are all the special teams fall.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_09]: You know, there's going to be no way easier game than could have made it way easier on themselves.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_09]: I was telling Josh before I got in here, like I did my Big Mo Vembre event and I got people to come in just for the event and they're sitting down going, are you guys trying to lose the game?
- 10:39[SPEAKER_09]: Because they didn't see anything about winning, you know, winning is like you take points for a rookie quarterback.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_09]: You don't go for it on in your own 33 yard line, right?
- 10:54[SPEAKER_09]: You have a rookie quarterback, you have a team that doesn't push well with your offensive line.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_09]: So make it short on yourself and make it easy on yourself.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_09]: And this team today made nothing easy on themselves.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_05]: No, and real quick, like you said he was missing his right tech one is right, guard.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_05]: Well, he wasn't missing why it teller because of like an injury or anything.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_05]: Did you see that?
- 11:16[SPEAKER_05]: You know, they were a while hating why it teller and Kevin Jenkins on different series throughout the game.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_05]: Why it teller said after the game that he was told earlier this week, that was going to be the case because of his poor performance this season.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_05]: So they're getting some extended look at Kevin Jenkins and basically semi benching why it teller during the game.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_02]: I don't, white teller has, I mean, in their defense, he hasn't played that great this year.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 11:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_02]: But so that's disheartening because I'm like a huge white teller fan, that almost seems like the writings on the wall that he's not going to be here next year, which sucks.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_02]: somebody said has seen and ever taken a snap so I guess we can kind of talk about the place since we're talking about going for on fourth down.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think he's going to pass that.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_02]: Not just to be quarterback for Pete Sakes, you know, but but not at least the not at least this year.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_02]: So here here's the deal.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't hate going for it.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_02]: even I don't understand where we were at on the field, but it felt like if we went three and out, like the defense has been, we just talked about how we could, we never had the ball on the second half.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_02]: It felt like if we went three and out, like that was going to be a backbreaker for the defense.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm just like an aggressive guy by nature.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't hate going forth on fourth and a foot.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_02]: Two things with that though.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_02]: I thought it was a piss-pour spot.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_02]: I thought it was, should have been way closer to about fourth and six inches, not fourth and, you know, a almost a full yard.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_02]: So I thought we either should have challenged a spot or at least called for a measurement or something.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_02]: And then, too, my problem is the play called what he hasn't taken a snap all year.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, if you're going to go for it, go back to the Wildcat.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_02]: It's like a jacket.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 12:56[SPEAKER_02]: At some point, we've written that Wildcat like a bunch, especially the last couple weeks.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_02]: At some point, do we have a variation off of it?
- 13:03[SPEAKER_02]: Do we have one where Juggins maybe takes a step towards the line, like an old Tim Tibo jump pass?
- 13:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_02]: Like, is there any kind of creativity off of it?
- 13:11[SPEAKER_02]: Like, we saw it happen to us just two weeks ago, Raven's lined up on her center for, you know, Mark Andrews takes steps for them so that it's not...
- 13:19[SPEAKER_02]: that wasn't bad for them.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_02]: But they ran like a variation off the Tushbush took it for a touchdown.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_02]: Do we not have any variations off of the wild?
- 13:25[SPEAKER_02]: Like if you're going to run the wild cat that often does, it always had to just be run Quintron Juddkins head first into the line of skirmish.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_02]: We don't have any creativity.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_02]: We don't have any creativity off of that.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_02]: So my issue wasn't necessarily the going for it.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_02]: I kind of, I'm an aggressive person and I wanted the offense to stay on the field.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_02]: My problem was just like the play call.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_05]: What do we why would we and then when it got hectic take a time out that's that was my issue as As soon as you start to see like some confusion out there Shoulders kind of trying to get the guys lined up people don't seem like they know what they're doing just call time out and plant the frickin ball or if you're hell bent on running a play there Then get a different play and that they actually know how to run Yes, but there was so much confusion that as a head coach that right there was a I thought that was a bad decision to just let them run that play You have to understand what's going on and call the time out
- 14:14[SPEAKER_09]: I think with a young team and field position, you just don't run it and you get you on it.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_09]: That's that's what I think.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_09]: I just think they're too young.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_09]: I think Shidorah's too new.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_09]: Like you said, do we know even if fans ever handled any kind of snaps and practice hasn't in the NFL yet, even though you should be quarterback at high school.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_09]: You know, so I just think I think you punt that.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_09]: I just didn't like the field position game at all today period.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_09]: You didn't do anything to help yourself.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_02]: I think they showed the graphic at one point to start starting field position at one point for the 49ers was the Browns or their own 41 and for us it was we started our 21.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_02]: We were 20 yards of a difference in field position.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_02]: We played with terrible field position all day which killed the offense also.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_02]: Especially when you're playing with a rookie quarterback and I know a lot of people just want them to completely open it up and let Shador just go.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_02]: But it's the same time like,
- 15:11[SPEAKER_02]: it makes sense to not do that.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_02]: They're trying, with they said they're willing to give them an extended look for the rest of the season.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_02]: They weren't encouraged by what they saw the Raiders.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_02]: Don't throw them to the wolves against Robert Sell is a super- he's a great defensive coordinator.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he's one of the best in the NFL.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_02]: Don't throw this guy to the wolves.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_02]: I don't mind having a each week, a slightly more like a
- 15:34[SPEAKER_02]: Last week was conservative this week's like and then maybe each week you give him a little bit more and you a little bit more More all like Julian saying it or how estate where he was week one compared to now night and day how much they're letting him do oh Yes, I went by the way.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, at least we had that to hang our heads on this.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_02]: No, I didn't so I don't mind a conservative game plan But you just got to execute.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, so like you're saying people will say well open it up.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_05]: You know take the training wheels off of Shador
- 16:03[SPEAKER_05]: open it up to what to what we've got like Isaiah Bond engaged Larwin and are kind of acting as the wide receiver to right now said you're talking about one target in this game no catches he's a bomb Jerry Judy sucks to Marty thrushes or fifth round pick last year look like he was supposed to be a guy they were going to lean on through training camp he's a healthy scratch.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_05]: It's hard-wired receivers are so bad.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_02]: Dude, we were talking about it.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_02]: We off my team too.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_02]: Just get your duty out of here.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_09]: We were talking about this split in the reps with teller.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_09]: We can't split any reps because we want to take duty off.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_09]: We can't split it with anybody.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_05]: You know what you think with him?
- 16:39[SPEAKER_05]: It was a, we signed him off a practice squad.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_05]: And he's playing over to thrash.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_02]: And he's Marvin Dan.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_02]: Patrick Tillman.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_02]: He's Marvin Dan was on a practice squad a month ago.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I mean that's like the wider the wide receiver position.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_02]: We have the it's like us and the titans are fistfighting for who can have the worst right why receiver core NFL and just get Jerry Judy out of here it's not it's not it's not it's not just the poor play his attitude sucks.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if you guys have seen the video obviously I can't hear them but like it looks like he's kind of barking It should doer and they're going over and then should or it comes out post game and he he talks about how like it's about trust And they got to get on the same page which obviously that'll come with more practice Had more games played but like for this this is a guy who's Playing with only a couple weeks of practices are rookie in a second start.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_02]: Why do you try to pick him up?
- 17:27[SPEAKER_02]: Why don't you encourage him like
- 17:29[SPEAKER_02]: Justin Jefferson was picking, you know, Jason McCarthy's awful.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_02]: And you don't hear Justin Jefferson talking shit on him.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_02]: Like he's trying to pick him up, like we got to play.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_02]: And then there's just Jerry Judy.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_02]: And Justin Jefferson, by the way, is good at football.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_02]: Jerry Judy is bad at football.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_02]: You know, so like you if you're going to maybe have a good attitude if you're going to lead the league and drops two years in a row and Just essentially never be open or do anything of any good on the football field for us this year at least have a good positive attitude Don't like just get him out of here.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_05]: I am he is I'm good done with some.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_05]: What did you guys think of that play on the first drive where I mean Should or just over through duty like that was good that was a touchdown
- 18:11[SPEAKER_05]: That was a type of like great throw just over threw him did look because I see people saying you it looks like you to kind of stop to run in the route or didn't really follow through the route or was it just a time you think because these guys haven't worked together.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_02]: He definitely overthrew him which could be part of a timing thing like you know is speed and all that I just also the wind right so.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_02]: But that's one of those things too, we're like, you'll, you'll, the more you throw to the guy you expect that you'll end up connecting on those shots.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_05]: That's right.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_05]: So to like, man, if, if only Shidorah had maybe some more reps with these guys, maybe we could hit a pass like that because it was open.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_05]: And I mean, the thing that was Shidorah real quick comes out of any, but he's at least taking the shots down the field.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_05]: This episode is brought to you by Bauden Sports.

- 19:09[SPEAKER_05]: But hey, it's true.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_05]: Baseball, softballs, footballs, basketballs, volleyballs, soccer balls, you name it.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_05]: And Bauden has engineered the highest standard sports balls available.

- 19:38[SPEAKER_05]: And I need to fix that soon.

- 20:03[SPEAKER_05]: That's 10% off all the top quality sporting gear you need this season.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_05]: BaudenSports.com slash dogs.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, that's what I was going to say.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_09]: He took the shot.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_09]: He made the right read when he stepped through.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_09]: He just stepped through too hard.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_09]: It was towards the dog pound.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_09]: Was it not where the swirling window was?
- 20:22[SPEAKER_09]: And maybe he just thought he need to put more on it to get it through the wind.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_05]: And we're also assuming that if he hit him, he would catch it, too.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, which is a huge assumption.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_09]: Or like get a penalty or stop and make a try and make a play in a fumble letter, whatever the deal is, Jesus.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, just get the guy out of here at this point.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_02]: It's like it'd be a addition by subtraction.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_02]: Um, yeah, he's like the opposite of, um, Jarvis Landry.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_02]: He's the hand tied Jarvis Landry.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, um.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_02]: So I guess we can let's take a couple minutes, kind of like talk about the Shidorah performance, Kevin came out right after the game and said he's going to start next week for the Titans.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's in no jeopardy of losing his starting position to Dylan Gabriel.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_02]: Anybody with eyes can see that he's clearly the best quarterback on our roster.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_02]: The biggest thing now and I've asked him set it in our discord today, he's not competing against Dylan Gabriel.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_02]: He's competing against our top five pick next year.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_02]: he's got this season to show that he is not that we don't need to take a quarter back and as he's showing enough in these two starts so far to make you not take one.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_02]: I will say at least in my opinion, not yet, but every game I've seen things that are encouraging to me.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_02]: If like the season ended right now, I would probably still take a quarter back, but if you continue to build on these next five games,
- 21:44[SPEAKER_02]: I'm hoping by the end of the season, and it's trending that direction.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_02]: I would rather go, you know, just pick a wide receiver to wide receivers.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_02]: But there are a couple of times today, like you saw some of the bad.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_02]: Like the, he took a sack in the first half.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_02]: We were French, field goal range if we just,
- 21:59[SPEAKER_02]: a zero yard gain.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_02]: It's fringe field goal range.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_02]: Instead he takes a 12 yard sack and we have to punt.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_02]: That's potentially points or if he hits a check down or a hot rate or something like that and we just get five yards, then we're definitely in field goal range.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_02]: That's potentially three points.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_02]: Second half is sometimes it just seems like he will just
- 22:17[SPEAKER_02]: like he just doesn't want to throw it away.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know why.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_02]: Like I just like he held it one.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_02]: He holds forever and then runs and slides into a sack.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm like, why would you slide and is the play got hurt on?
- 22:30[SPEAKER_02]: Why would you slide into a sack?
- 22:31[SPEAKER_02]: Just throw it over somebody's head out of bounce somewhere.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_02]: And then it's fourth and long and you cannot take a sack on fourth and long.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_02]: And then another play I thought was that shows like his kind of unwillingness to just throw it away.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_02]: It's fourth and twenty six and he scrambles for six yards and slides.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_02]: Why wouldn't you just throw it up to somebody?
- 22:54[SPEAKER_02]: and we had a guy in the discord who's talking like he's just trying to make a play the games over anyways the games the game's not over the score might be over but the evaluating of Shidorah's not over and they want to see that he's not going to hold the ball he's not going to take sex he's going to throw the ball like they're still evaluating him even if the game's over so like I thought should doorplayed okay considering like what they give him to work with in the
- 23:22[SPEAKER_02]: I wasn't blown away today, but I'm still like extremely encouraged about what I'm seeing.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_05]: That's why I was so irritated with the way the game was called and like Kenny's been talking about the field positioning and of course the special team just blowing everything because it put Shidorah in a tough situation where this is only a second start.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_05]: He's had minimal work with anything like they just really haven't been given him a lot of run since he's been drafted.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_05]: He is still in college mode like that is his most recent starting experience was that Colorado where he could run around.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_05]: He could wait for guys to get open, he could make throws, make plays.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_05]: He's still in that habit.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_05]: Like, he's still in college mode because this is only game two in the NFL.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_05]: He needs more time.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_02]: I would say the the thing I'll say, though, about like college mode and can run around and make plays, he still took like 90, some sex.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_02]: I know in college, you know what I mean?
- 24:10[SPEAKER_02]: So like that, that's my point where I was getting a little frustrated.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_02]: Like, at some point, it's got to like that's what they want to.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_02]: The only way for you to lose this job right now is to not show growth.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_02]: And the way to show growth is don't slide into a sec.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_02]: on 4 to 26 just throw the ball down field and give it if it doesn't matter if you throw an interception at that point it's an arm punt throw the ball down the field and just give somebody a chance like those are the little things that I'm looking for and I'm assuming the coaching staff staff is looking for in a 26 to 8 game when you're in there's five minutes left like just show growth because I don't want them to lose the job I want him to be the guy I've a big should do or fan so I will say in the last six quarters that were competitive.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_05]: So the Raiders game then the first two quarters of this game when it was competitive he only took two two sacks in those six quarters.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_05]: The other sacks were late in this game whenever he was trying to make a play we were down big okay like I wasn't I was a little irritated with the sacks but I wasn't that much you know I was like everyone ever like this.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_05]: He's just trying to do something out there.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_05]: We're not even competing right now whenever it was competitive
- 25:09[SPEAKER_05]: I thought he was doing well.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_05]: And the thing I do like about him and I appreciate is his willingness to hang in the pocket and step up a little bit longer.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_05]: I text you during the game.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_05]: I said, I like his pocket navigation.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_05]: Like that touched down to Harold Fanon.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_05]: We haven't talked about this.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, he gave enough time for that play to develop by just creating a little bit of separation in the pocket.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_05]: creating an extra second and he hit him for a touchdown, 34-yard touchdown.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_02]: Like it was a great play.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_02]: Another one was the one where he stepped up and got kind of hitting the chest and his arm and he still made like the CTN yard completion in the middle.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_02]: So that was big.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_02]: I knew this was going to happen by the way.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_02]: The guy in the middle must not be watching football just because I'm not blowing him.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_02]: I'm all of a sudden a shit or a hater.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_02]: Even though I still say we're just encouraged to see
- 25:53[SPEAKER_02]: him more, and I still think he can be the guy, and I just want to keep seeing more.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_02]: I'm guaranteed you should door things I could play better.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_02]: So just because I think he can play better doesn't mean I'm not a guy who wants to see should door play well.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_05]: If we don't think he can play better than he played today, then he shouldn't be the quarterback.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_05]: Yes.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_05]: The whole point is he's growing.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_05]: He's learnings developing like if this is the best game you're going to get out of a should door.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_05]: He can't play quarterback in the NFL.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_05]: There will be better games.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_05]: He just needs
- 26:22[SPEAKER_09]: Well, the biggest thing that I like about should are, and you guys know what I can't stand about quarterbacks, and it tells what if they don't know what they're doing.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_09]: I know Harold Fan was a leading receiver and tight ends and running back so they only pass them.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_09]: They don't know what they're doing and nobody's getting open.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_09]: But after Harold Fan and guess what?
- 26:41[SPEAKER_09]: He targeted Judy four times, target Larvedane, three times, and he targeted Bond two times.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_09]: Everything else after that was he had to do what he had to do, but he's trying to get the receivers in the game and he's also passing the ball down the field.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_09]: And that's way better than what Dylan was doing, because he could only average three, four yards and attempt, right?
- 27:04[SPEAKER_09]: We had 10 last week, which was fantastic, because we had three explosive, or four explosives, whatever it was.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_09]: And he had six, a average six per attempt this week, which is better than we've seen all year almost.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_09]: You know, so that means he's doing something good.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_09]: What drives me nuts and where I took a step back is the crippling sacks.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_09]: They think the sacks that are over 10 yards, those are awful.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_09]: You know, and he's got to stop that.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_09]: And it's like you said, he's got to throw it away.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_09]: But like I see stuff.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_09]: You know, Josh, how you say, like, hey, you know, he steps up in the pocket, kind of sideways, one side moves to the one side.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_09]: That he just launches one.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_09]: And it's like a laser and you're like,
- 27:45[SPEAKER_09]: He's got it.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_09]: It's the hair.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_09]: You know, he's got it.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, look at Dylan.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_09]: He comes in for one pass to the, let's see the high flats.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_09]: And it's a hospital pass.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_09]: You know, like, just as it happens.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_02]: Judd gets man.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you could tell as soon as Dylan came into the game, defensive immediately knew it was going to be a short.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, there was no hesitation on that guy breaking on that.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_02]: None.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_05]: I just didn't blake right away.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_05]: I said first pass hospital ball.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_05]: He goes,
- 28:15[SPEAKER_02]: The biggest thing we should do right now too is you can see the impact it has on the rest of the offense not just with this passing the run games better Yeah, we just we look because they have to defend the whole field now and like we looked like a at least in the first half when we had the ball and had some rhythm we looked like a functional
- 28:32[SPEAKER_02]: NFL offense, which is saying something considering we don't really have an NFL wide receiver core or NFL line.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_02]: So the fact that we were able to look like a functional NFL offense in place so well against a, like a really good defensive coordinator in Robert Sala, like that was encouraging in the first half.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_02]: In like I said, I'd given like a C performance today.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_02]: He was, he, he was not the reason we lost.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_02]: by no reason with the reason we lost you know and he was the reason he was part of the reason we were winning in the beginning um so that's it guys like to everybody who's freaking out just because we're not glazing him like chill out you're the reason why he has haters by the way yeah let me ask you this though okay so you said what Ashton said in the discord about he's competing in Sartot five
- 29:22[SPEAKER_05]: who I don't want to just keep saying a quarter back in the title like it take a quarter back take a quarterback put a name with it who's the quarter back that you think we would take could take that would be better give us a better chance next year than what Shador shown because outside of maybe Fernando Mendoza and he's probably going number one overall who are we who are we really drafting that we're expecting to give us a higher ceiling right away than what Shador would offer next year.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_02]: Don't tell him more is pretty good.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, maybe don't tell him more if he's that good though, then he's going to.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_02]: Well, we're probably going to be around there.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_02]: We can make way of two first round picks.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_05]: But that's the thing.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_05]: You're going to use both of them to move up and then I just, we have so many things we need.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_05]: And you're going nowhere without a quarterback though, you're going nowhere.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_05]: We're gonna, I don't think we're going anywhere.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_02]: And if you draft a bunch of these players and get good and then try to find the quarterback by the time you find the quarterback, all your players are on second contracts in old.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_02]: We just saw it happen with our offensive line and O'Dell and Jarvis and Chief and all this stuff.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_02]: So the most important position for ball for a reason.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_02]: I am hopeful and I feel confident that we at least,
- 30:31[SPEAKER_09]: We have something here in an inch of door like I am optimistic about what it's a lottery ticket man if you have that salary for the next three years and then you can do what Josh is saying you get a left tackle or you get two receivers received first two rounds Fill in some holes on the free agency that's the way to go but cross your fingers that he cannot have these crippling sacks and that he can keep ascending
- 30:57[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, I wanted it.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_02]: We have a super chat here, uh, from T. Orrent Smith, 682.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_02]: We appreciate the super chat.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you very much.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_02]: He says, coaches and special teams lost this game.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_02]: And we'll argue the first fourth and one, but to go forward on your own 33 yard line and the close game is terrible decision.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_02]: Go get a left hack on wide receiver in the draft.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate the super chat.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_02]: Um, we, we kind of already talked about the going forward at the 33.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't, I just hated the play call and execution.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't hate the decision.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_02]: I can understand the decision.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_02]: you want to show confidence that you can go get a foot.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_02]: But I hated the play call, I hated the execution of the play call, but so that was my issue with it.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, do we want to do our commercial breakwork quick and then come back and get to some of the voicemails?
- 31:46[SPEAKER_02]: Sure, let's do that.

- 33:09[SPEAKER_02]: The cell won't come in here.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_02]: He said, dude in the middle for God, it was windy, sack or not.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_02]: They weren't attempting a field goal from that distance.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_02]: So then it's okay to take a terrible 12 yard sack.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's gonna be your argument.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_02]: It was windy so they wouldn't try to feel go anyway, so it's good to run around and hold the ball forever and take a bad sack.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_02]: That's a stupid argument.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_02]: Guys, be objective.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_02]: You can want him to be a good quarterback and say when he has a good play and say when he has a bad play.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_02]: That's all I'm doing.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_02]: He had more good plays than bad plays.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_02]: I just talked about
- 33:40[SPEAKER_02]: only four plays out of all the plays are in we're in 50 someplace he had four plays that I didn't think he was great on That shouldn't be getting me skewered in the comments.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_02]: He wasn't perfect if he thought he was perfect and he can come up with an excuse for every single bad play That that's part of the problem.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_02]: You have to be objective about it or he'll never get better
- 34:00[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I think it's fair.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, I don't feel like anything that you've said so far has been unfair.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, we we like what we see guys.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know how you can watch first of all after watching four games of Joe Flacco, four games of Dilling or six games of Dilling Gabriel and now two games of Shidorah.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_05]: How you cannot come away going.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_05]: This is better.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_05]: This definitely better, because I think I saw a stat.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_05]: The Browns had what, Joe Fleck went to past plays beyond 30 yards in four games, Dylan Gabriel had two in six games, and Shador has what four or five now I think, and two games so like he's he's doing things.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_05]: He's doing things that we've been wanting a quarter back for this team to do.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_05]: Yes.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_09]: I would love just wants to have a quarter back this year to throw over 300.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_09]: Like these stat lines of like, and this isn't anti-shed door.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_09]: This is anti-how the Brown's coached opera.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know the offense, but I'm tired of like 16 for 3450 yards.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_09]: And it touched down.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_09]: It's the same old, same old, every single week.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_09]: Like, you know, Shador had a great game.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_09]: But still, did he get over 200?
- 35:08[SPEAKER_09]: I can't even remember last week.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_09]: And, but it's still like we didn't get over three, like just, let's get three.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_09]: Like let's do something, man.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_09]: Like, I don't know.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_09]: Pretend we have a B.C.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_09]: verse.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_02]: It's gonna be tough to hit 300 when a majority of your passes are screen passes to running backs
- 35:29[SPEAKER_09]: Right, right.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, yeah, we did because we had a 66 yard last week a bit.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, with, uh, with still running back.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, right.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_02]: This wide receiver cords like playing offense with a hand behind your back.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_02]: And then the lines with the other hand behind your back.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_02]: so it's tough.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_05]: It is.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_05]: It's really ugly, but all right, let's do Brad first this week and we'll hear his song for the week.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_10]: The Koo's back.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_10]: Back again.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_10]: The Browns are back.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_10]: Don't tell your friends.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_10]: Look, Koo's back.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_10]: Look, Koo's back.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_10]: Look, Koo's back.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_10]: Where's the Cleveland Browns?
- 36:09[SPEAKER_10]: I told you guys to curb your expectations, like Dash, oh man, well, so is anybody know if Bob of the Vintrone has been fired yet, I'm looking all over X, I do not see it quite yet, but he should be fired like before they even leave the stadium, that was terrible, special teams, oh my god, so bad.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_10]: to door or good on some couple drives and then there was the bad, all the sacks and not during the ball away.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, I'm running game was pretty good and then, you know, just game got away from us.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_10]: Man, this is just a mind of the titans.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_10]: Keep your expectations low, guys, because that's just what's going to be the rest of the season and it's just rough out there, guys.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_10]: There we go!
- 36:56[SPEAKER_10]: Keep tanking, I guess.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_10]: Whatever.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_10]: Let's go, Browns.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_02]: Somebody said, didn't you have only 11 temps in the second half?
- 37:05[SPEAKER_02]: I think you're right.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_02]: I know I was kind of talking about that in the, the discord during the game.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, we've only completed two passes so far in the second half.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_02]: It was on, but we had only attempted seven passes.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_02]: We had barely been on the field.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_02]: We talked about that.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_02]: The offense was not good in the second half, but part of that was, we were just never on the field.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_02]: like it's tough to get into any kind of rhythm when you're just never on the field you got a defense who's giving up eleven of seventeen conversions on third down and then you finally get a stop in your mouth the point give it right back to them such I mean I was such a backbreaker like there was a stretch of this game where it felt like we are offense wasn't on the field for like an hour of not game time obviously but of like real time there's an hour where they we just weren't on the field so
- 37:50[SPEAKER_02]: It was going to be tough to put up numbers in the second half of your just never on the field.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, super chat here Jimmy Cleveland.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_02]: He said, did y'all see Judy and Shooter's face fourth quarter.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_02]: He just fumbled the ball last game and he's a veteran.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_02]: We, yeah, we talked about this.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_02]: Get the guy out.
- 38:03[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even want him on the team anymore.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_02]: That's not who I want talking to my rookie quarterback who is trying to
- 38:11[SPEAKER_02]: hold the franchise on his back like he wants to be the future of my favorite part of Shoulddoor might not even be his play.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_02]: It's like how it handles himself in the press at the microphone like how he puts it on himself and how he lifts up his teammates and all that good stuff like Somebody tried to bait him into talking bad about Stephane's get a day.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_02]: He just called the guy out right away like I love Everything about Shoulddoor in that way
- 38:32[SPEAKER_02]: I don't need Jerry due to corrupting him like that.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_02]: Like I don't need that around my rookie quarterback.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_02]: Just get out of here.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_02]: It'd be different if you were, you know, a top level wide receiver.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_02]: You're not even that.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_02]: You're the definition of made at best.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_02]: Just get off my team.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, another super chat here from T-Race as I had three things for S2 to get better after the Las Vegas game.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_05]: One of them was stepping up in the pocket and not drifting and he improved on from the game, but he has to throw the ball away and not take 10 plus yard sacks.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_05]: Till agree, that's what we've talked about so far.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_05]: That's big spot on.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_02]: And then, which, again, this was game two, game three is next week.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe he does next week, he's better at it.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_02]: Game four is a week after that.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_05]: He's better at it.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_05]: Yes.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_02]: Which then allows the Browns to bring him back for an entire off season to prepare as the starter into use for agency and draft capital on weapons and line.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_02]: Which is, if you're a Browns fan, that's what you should want.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_02]: You should want to not have to take a
- 39:33[SPEAKER_02]: take a quarterback.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_02]: You should want to be able to use all your draft capital and all your free agent money on offensive players to put around him.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_02]: That's what we all want.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_02]: Another one here from young, young something.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_02]: Young among, I'm really bad at reading your guys as you use your names, I apologize.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_02]: This was just bad coaching, the difference between a lead head coach versus sub-part coach time management and how to properly utilize your time mounts, Kyle wasn't scared to use his time mounts to run a play.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_02]: I thought we got out coached in all three phases today.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_02]: I thought, I thought, like head coaching, play calling, special teams obviously, and then I thought defensively, like,
- 40:14[SPEAKER_02]: If you let a team go 11 to 17 on 3rd down, you didn't, you didn't do a good job on defense.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_02]: So I thought that was all three phases.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_02]: Did I, is that all of them, or did I miss one?
- 40:26[SPEAKER_05]: I think it's all I think that was all of them for now.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_05]: Yep.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_05]: So do another voice mail.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_05]: We'll get this one in here from Jacob.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_06]: Hey, what's going on?
- 40:35[SPEAKER_06]: Doc's podcast.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_06]: This is Jacob.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, we got some good news already.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_06]: That should our Sanders will be the QB one next week.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_06]: And I kind of makes me excited, but the confusing thing is here is that they haven't announced him to be the starter for the rest season.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_06]: That is a little bit concerning, but yeah, exciting.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_06]: But also, let's talk about the special teams here.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, the special teams sucked.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_06]: gazed on every day and dropping that punt to set up and they're touched down.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_06]: I think it was superty, but also that long.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_06]: It was a part-time.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it was a part-return.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_06]: That was just unacceptable.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_06]: If Bubba Vientron has his job next season, ooh, I'm gonna be mad.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_06]: But thank you, go Browns.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_05]: If he has his job tomorrow, I'm gonna be mad.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_02]: He'll have his job to borrow just because I don't see his being the kind of team to make a change in the their right This shit to the end.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_05]: I know everybody listen.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_05]: I'm gonna.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_05]: I'll be the one to say firebub a firebub I'm sick of this shit, but I also know they're not gonna do it like what we have is what we have and what we're wrong with for the next five
- 41:52[SPEAKER_09]: It's very rare though that anybody, I think we've talked about this before, it's very rare that anybody actually fires a special team coach mid-season.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_09]: I think the lines did it four years ago and before that it was like eight seasons because nine seasons ago.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_05]: It's not usually this bad fair point, fair point, we know, exceptionally bad.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_09]: But I mean, it's like two or three gaps a game.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_09]: And they like their major, like, put points on the board, like given them a 16 yard, you know, to the end zone or given up touchdowns, like it's bad.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_02]: It's one of those things where you could make the argument the special teams is cost us what two of our last four games, the Jets game and now this game.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yep, like you, just be neutral.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_02]: Just be neutral, just come out and make kicks, don't kick, kick us out of bounds, field punts.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not even asking for large returns, blocked punts.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_02]: anything.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_02]: Kick off returns for touchdowns.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just saying to just be neutral.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_02]: Do get into the basic.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, just do the basic necessities of your job will hunt the ball to where it needs to go return the ball catch fair catch every time.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_02]: Don't have a single return on the season at this point.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_02]: I don't care fair catch it run up and catch it and we'll start wherever you caught it from just catch the ball just be.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_02]: You cannot be a negative with the, with the offense we have and the weapons we lack.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_02]: You cannot be a negative.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_02]: We don't have anything to overcome negatives.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_02]: It's, it's terrible.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_02]: I don't understand, like, I don't understand how it can be so bad.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_02]: And it's one of those things, too.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_02]: Like, we let a guy like the Anthony Belgo who was like a great special teams player.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_02]: And this, like, it's not like the special teams last year were great.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_02]: you know so you took a unit that wasn't that great and then you got rid of us maybe the best player off that unit and he's out in Seattle now and the the special teams are even worse this year and it's just like that's just it's inexcusable to be this bad like just be a neutral
- 44:02[SPEAKER_02]: just don't be a negative.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_02]: And we can't even do that.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_02]: It's terrible.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_09]: Well, look at this stat, just from field goals with Stephansky.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_09]: And if we miss one field goal, he's what?
- 44:13[SPEAKER_09]: 3 and 13 or something like that.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_09]: We can't look at the jet game like two, three years ago when we miss a PAT and how many times have we miss a PAT and just fell apart after?
- 44:23[SPEAKER_09]: Like it's such an abomination that we can't get that
- 44:28[SPEAKER_09]: together, you know, and it's such a should be an easy part of the game and easier part of the game, especially under 40 yards.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_02]: I'm in a chat where you're going to read it.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I had one more real quick.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_02]: He said, Raiders fire their OC after the game has them keeps his incompetent coaches.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_02]: What I'm going to say about that is they fired their offensive coordinator and everybody, like they just, it's a dumpster.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_02]: That's what dumpster fires do.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_02]: They fire coaches and coordinators during the season.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_02]: Like, it were three and a nine.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_02]: We're not making the postseason.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_02]: Just don't be a dumpster fire.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_02]: like you can do it on black monday when everybody else fires or coaches I don't want to model what we do off of the raiders.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_02]: Does that make sense?
- 45:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah I would say don't be more of a dumpster fire because we already are we all ready but we're not but we're not the worst team.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_05]: There's way worse teams are rising we see defense is keeping us out of that.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_02]: So, but it's one of those things we're like, I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna go, well, the Raiders fire their offense coordinator.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_02]: Why can't we fire our special teams coordinator?
- 45:29[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I don't really want to be like the Raiders.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_05]: And do you think it killed today?
- 45:33[SPEAKER_05]: I don't have no idea.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_05]: I thought the chargers beat the crap out of them.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_05]: That was my shocking.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_02]: Super chat here.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_02]: Why has a head coach in the game?
- 45:41[SPEAKER_02]: Would you choose to go into the wind in the first and fourth quarter?
- 45:44[SPEAKER_02]: So I actually kind of thought about this.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_02]: We had the ball.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_02]: So we got to defer.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_02]: We defer to the second half.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_02]: So don't they get to choose where they defend it?
- 45:56[SPEAKER_05]: They choose the direction they go, right?
- 46:03[SPEAKER_02]: which we I don't know how it works.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_02]: I guess I forget how that works.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_02]: Somebody explained this to me but so then we I would imagine we won the toss and we decided to defer to the second half.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_02]: So then the other team then got to choose which way they want to go or defend or how it works.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_02]: So therefore by deferring to the second half we didn't have the choice of which way we wanted to go in the first and the fourth quarter correct?
- 46:22[SPEAKER_02]: Right we just said we want the ball second half.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_02]: correct.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_02]: So I understand I thought about that too during the game.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_02]: I was like if we had a choice why would we be doing it this way?
- 46:33[SPEAKER_05]: I don't think we had a choice.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_05]: Defer means like we're deferring our choice for the second half which technically you could go in the second half and say we don't want the ball because we're deferring our choice till then but this so then they're taking the ball.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_02]: He said I thought we lost the toss if we lost the toss
- 46:49[SPEAKER_02]: in the what the Niners took they're the Niners took the ball I don't I don't I don't know I didn't I didn't have it on until like right before the start of the game so I'm not sure yeah I know but thanks if anybody if anybody yeah if anybody knows let us know another super chat here we guys we appreciate the super chat to get the Ravencinn at Tyler he's his last year contract get jackson powers from the Raiders fire Kevin wide receiver coach Bubba hired Brian for his hired Larry fits for wide receiver coach draft wide receiver
- 47:19[SPEAKER_02]: a month ago, I probably would like fought you back on some of this stuff.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_02]: I'm at the point now where like the entire coaching staff can probably I'm not going to argue if they're just all gone.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_02]: Some people want to keep some people want to keep gym shorts.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not going to dog him because the defense like, but the defense is always good at home against bad teams when we play teams with like good offensive coordinators and good.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_02]: we give up 11 to 17 on third down, you know, like we can, for the since he's been here, if you run a counter or a jet sweep against us, it's going for big yards.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_02]: Like the same problems we've had when he first got here, they still come back to bite us.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_02]: Now, obviously that unit's way better than the offensive side of the ball, but that unit also has all of our best players and all of our top draft picks from the last four years.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_02]: It should be significantly better.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_02]: I'm at the point now where even though I think Kevin could probably go be head coach somewhere else and be good.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_02]: At this point it's just if everybody's gone here, I'm not going to argue with it.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_02]: Now, like, I'll just be excited to see who we go get.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_09]: I guess, because you feel stuck.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_09]: You don't want to see the same thing over and over again.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_09]: And like, we, the biggest thing that we talk about before we get on and go live on this is like, well, what can we talk about?
- 48:33[SPEAKER_09]: Because we got to talk about how we can't pass the ball again, how we give up third and longs that we got to talk about, how we can't hit a field goal, you know, or we give up a big return.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_09]: It's the same thing over and over and over again.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_09]: and then when you see that you're like, I can't get behind these guys anymore.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_09]: Why are they still coaching the team?
- 48:51[SPEAKER_09]: We need we need something different.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, for sure in the whole keep Jim Schwartz.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_05]: For me, I just feel like that's a tricky road to go down when you're trying to attract a good new head coach to say, well, you can kind of hire your own staff except for the D coordinator.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_05]: You have to keep our D coordinator and maybe they don't drive, maybe the philosophies aren't aligned.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know
- 49:13[SPEAKER_05]: Maybe I'm reading too much into things, but whenever I see the Adam Shetter report yesterday that the Browns are open to giving it Shador an extended look throughout the rest of the season, and then immediately after the next game, in which Shador did not play bad, and we did not lose because of him.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_05]: They ask Kevin Stephianski if he's going to be the starter after next weekend, he would not commit to anything beyond next week.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_05]: It's like, so who was the messaging coming from yesterday saying extended look?
- 49:39[SPEAKER_05]: And then Kevin today saying, well, we're going to take basically saying we're taking it one week at a time.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_05]: I just, I feel like there might be a riff there.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_02]: Kevin's never going to say anything to press conference.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_02]: It's coach speak all the time.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_02]: The decision he came out and said, Dylan Gabriel is going to be the starter and then the very next week should doors the starter.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_02]: You know, so like there's he's never going to say anything of any substance in a press conference.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_02]: So I take anything he says with a grain of salt.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_02]: I think it would take a mere the only way should earn it and play the rest of these games if it gets hurt.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, anybody with eyes should see that.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_02]: I should be.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_02]: Anybody with eyes can see that, um, supposing Kevin can be a good head coach.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_02]: How he's too trash for the worst team of the league.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_02]: Trying to save your Mayo brethren.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I don't care what color he is, but I would almost bet my house that he'll be a head coach again.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_02]: The, you think the two-time coach the year is not going to get one more shot at being a head coach.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_02]: The NFL recycles head coaches.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_02]: That's what they do.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_02]: People get tired and tired.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_02]: That's, I don't think so many.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, so if you don't think he'll get another head coaching gig, you're out of your mind.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_02]: Another super chat here.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry if you already talked about this, why didn't we get away from what was working?
- 50:50[SPEAKER_02]: The run game was working and helping the rookies in the first half.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_02]: I think the Niners kind of adjusted a little bit, and it wasn't working as well on the second half, also losing our right tackle, didn't help the run game, and then you got down, you kind of, like, although we got down.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_02]: We didn't necessarily throw the ball ton in the second half, still.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_02]: We were down 26 to 8 or something, and we were still running the ball.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_02]: It kind of became like the like even the coaching staff realized we're not going to come back from this and we're not just going to throw the ball a bunch of times turn it over and lose 50 to 8, we'll just we're just going to get out of here with this bad of loss instead of an even worse loss, like even they knew this game's over.

- 52:54[SPEAKER_05]: Yep, no, I don't disagree with that.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_05]: Alright, let's do another voicemail.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_05]: This one's from Tori.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_08]: Hey guys, it's Tori, I'm at Huntington Bank Stadium, drove nine hours to be here.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_08]: There's seven minutes to go in the fort.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_08]: See tons of fans leaving, it's been in disappointing game.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, in the first quarter, Shaderhad, Jerry Judy, ride open.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_08]: I'm not saying he would have caught it, but he had them.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_08]: And then, a puppet of enthrone, he needs to be fired.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_08]: Horrible, special teams coach.
- 53:29[SPEAKER_08]: I'm hoping we can build off Shader, that Carnal T and the draft, hopefully Caleb downs to go box, big win on Saturday, but it's a point in game for the Browns.
- 53:39[SPEAKER_08]: Go Browns.
- 53:42[SPEAKER_05]: Man, Carnal T yesterday just made me even more.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_05]: I was like, get him, get him.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_05]: I want this guy so bad.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_02]: Man, he's amazing.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_02]: I want, I want, I really want should do it too.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_02]: I think should do it's gotten better every game so far.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_02]: Even though like earlier I said he wasn't perfect today and that got a ton of blowback.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_02]: I thought he's gotten better in every game so far.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_02]: If he continues to get better in every game, I want to just take the two best wide receivers that are available when we pick in the next draft.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_02]: That's all I want, get to begin.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_02]: Focus on Lyman in the, you know, whatever, the second, the third rounds or free agency or whatever, we have to add some dudes to this offense.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_02]: that make that put fear into people and who can catch the ball and who are fast.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_02]: Like, we just, we got to get, I want Cardinal Tate.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_02]: I need them like I need water.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_02]: Like I need air in my lungs.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_09]: Um, we know it all sweety.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_09]: We just need depth that goes back like Blake said this over and over and over again.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_09]: Special teams just represents how bad we are as a team depth wise.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_09]: We just don't have it.
- 54:40[SPEAKER_09]: They don't, they don't break down like the way they should because they're just a lesser tier of
- 54:49[SPEAKER_09]: special teams plays or aren't special teams right now.
- 54:52[SPEAKER_09]: If they get caught, I don't think anybody's picking them up.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_09]: Like even with Gage Larva Dan, like I mean, you guys, I know we like him and we want him to do well, but I mean, if he gets caught tomorrow because he must that ball, as you get and picked up anywhere, other than our own practice squad.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_09]: You know, we had this discussion come up,
- 55:11[SPEAKER_09]: in the discord about one player that you would choose from the Browns Pass that could change things.
- 55:17[SPEAKER_09]: And I picked Josh Cribbs because you know what not only was he a good returner, that guy was a hell of a gunner and we can't do either.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_09]: You know that guy made up for a lot of deficiencies on a special teams and we don't have a guy like that right now.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_09]: We need a guy that can wrap up on special teams and make sure that the player gets his ass to the grass.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_02]: That's, uh, I feel bad for Gage Loverdam kind of today because I talked about last week about how I felt like we finally had a good punt returner.
- 55:46[SPEAKER_02]: He's making, he's making good decisions, he's feeling in the ball.
- 55:50[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I was like, hey, maybe we finally kind of have this position locked down and then he struggled mightily today.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_02]: Like, like the caller said, the special teams coordinator isn't going to coach the teacher that got to catch the ball.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_02]: You know, that's just, the player's got to play.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_02]: My biggest concern with the special teams is like, like, can he
- 56:07[SPEAKER_02]: And situational awareness, like you have to, your guys should know not to run the catch the ball and run out of bounds.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_02]: Like he had, and if he doesn't, well, one, if he doesn't know that, that's on you.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_02]: And if he doesn't know that and he did it anyways, Bench him for a quarter next week.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_02]: Bench him for a, do something to send a message like, you can't put this team in a disadvantage like that by doing something so stupid.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_02]: It's like when, I think it was Thomas jumped off sides when they were clearly not gonna run a play.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_02]: And I said, cut him, maybe you don't cut him.
- 56:39[SPEAKER_02]: Bencham, do something to say, no, or make me an active for a game.
- 56:44[SPEAKER_02]: I bet you Malachi, Corley, won't do that again if he's an active next week.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_05]: You know, not only I'm fighting for his NFL life.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, do something like that, because that's unacceptable.
- 56:54[SPEAKER_02]: The coverage, our punk coverage, and our kickoff return coverage, I get the fear of God in me every time we kick off and it's not in the end zone.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_02]: Because I think it's going to go back.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_02]: And I know that the way that kickoff is now, like, I watch other teams in,
- 57:08[SPEAKER_02]: People almost break one a lot.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_02]: So it's not just the browns, but I feel like I feel like it's worse for us.
- 57:15[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe it's because this is why I watch and I care about But me and we're so close to having them busted on us all the time I just walked myself into that one
- 57:25[SPEAKER_02]: but um no that's that's my issues obviously like catching throwing that that's players got to play coaches are out there telling them how to catch the punt but your players should know not to run out of balance why I'll catching it kick off i mean jesus yeah so we got another super chat i think this and my my screen small it says break breaksy 37 why are reporters trying to stir drama quote do you like Kevin's to fancy
- 57:50[SPEAKER_05]: play calling going forward on fourth down obviously they asked to do that in the in the press conference and she says what do you expect him to say I thought he handled it well you mean basically talking about yeah he's like I want to play I want to be on the field playing so obviously I'm okay with it you know you're right well they they try to beat him into some stuff all the time and the way he handled them so he's got a bad rap from people for no reason ever the way he handles himself is great I think he's a I think he's great great guy
- 58:17[SPEAKER_09]: You haven't been listening to Cleveland Media for a long time if you're asking that question either.
- 58:23[SPEAKER_09]: That's pretty good.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_09]: Media for your brother.
- 58:25[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, they're just that way, Mary K. Cabot, Tony Grossy, they ask those questions because they're A-holes, and that's just the way it is.
- 58:35[SPEAKER_09]: I'll Blake just got some kudos.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_09]: Finally, somebody was nice to me.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_02]: Superfane says, as a shudurer fan, I know you're being fair and objected, not everything can tell the different people doing what you're doing.
- 58:45[SPEAKER_02]: I appreciate it.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_02]: If anybody has watched this show for any extended amount of time, I've been like the shudor guy.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_02]: I was who I wanted pre-draft.
- 58:54[SPEAKER_02]: That's who I wanted them to take.
- 58:55[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I've been on the shudor train the longest of maybe anybody on this show.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_02]: So it's super funny when I get to hate just because I like call out a couple things.
- 59:04[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_05]: All right.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_05]: We got two voicemails left here before we end the show.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_05]: This one is from Kia who called last week.
- 59:09[SPEAKER_04]: Hey guys, it's Kia.
- 59:11[SPEAKER_04]: I just wanted to say, um, what did I watch?
- 59:15[SPEAKER_04]: Jerry Judy.
- 59:15[SPEAKER_04]: Oh my gosh.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_04]: You have to be traded.
- 59:19[SPEAKER_04]: He has to be traded.
- 59:21[SPEAKER_04]: He's not an awful wide receiver on one.
- 59:24[SPEAKER_04]: We need a real wide receiver.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_04]: If Shodor threw that ball to Carnotate or Jeremiah Smith, that was easily going to be 20 yards gained or even a touchdown.
- 59:35[SPEAKER_04]: Jerry Judy is not it.
- 59:37[SPEAKER_04]: And technical, what is this coaching?
- 59:39[SPEAKER_04]: The coating decisions of this game is terrible.
- 59:42[SPEAKER_04]: What am I looking at?
- 59:44[SPEAKER_04]: Kevin's the fan's keeper of the intro.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_04]: You told you guys you to go.
- 59:48[SPEAKER_04]: This is insane.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_04]: I'll land a home turf too.
- 59:51[SPEAKER_04]: Oh my gosh.
- 59:53[SPEAKER_04]: The only good highlight play of this, but Shidorah's touchdown past a herald-finding junior.
- 1:00:00[SPEAKER_04]: Thank God.
- 1:00:01[SPEAKER_04]: Because oh my gosh, this game is absolutely your choices to look at.
- 1:00:05[SPEAKER_04]: I'll even watch.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, it was appreciate I think from the Bahamas she's our ours our first time Bahamas colors so we appreciate the calls keeping coming in there awesome No, it's it's what like is there's a poorly coach game on in all three phases in my opinion like we just did not look
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_02]: We just didn't, in the second half.
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_02]: In the first half, it was like, look at us go.
- 1:00:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:00:34[SPEAKER_02]: And we just, as soon as we got to halftime, and they kind of made a couple adjustments on the other side, we were just, we were done.
- 1:00:41[SPEAKER_02]: We were over match.
- 1:00:42[SPEAKER_09]: We just wouldn't have been the story of the season, that's been the story of the season, though.
- 1:00:45[SPEAKER_09]: Every time, we seem to do well and they just, what did Mike Reble say?
- 1:00:50[SPEAKER_09]: Kind of run out of the bag of tricks or the trick plays, and then we got nothing in the second half.
- 1:00:55[SPEAKER_09]: We just can't, the offense can't maintain it.
- 1:00:58[SPEAKER_09]: They throw the defense under the boss, and then the special teams always screw something up in the same old story.
- 1:01:05[SPEAKER_05]: So this is the gimmick plays are over.
- 1:01:07[SPEAKER_05]: You give it plays.
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, thanks.
- 1:01:09[SPEAKER_05]: Last one here is another first time caller.
- 1:01:11[SPEAKER_05]: This is Philip.
- 1:01:12[SPEAKER_01]: Hey guys, Philip here.
- 1:01:13[SPEAKER_01]: French German living in Dubai.
- 1:01:15[SPEAKER_01]: Listening to the podcast for what the last two, three years.
- 1:01:17[SPEAKER_01]: a lot of what you guys do because you guys are critical in this and you can be critical about all the browns but also you can get excited when things go right and this is what we need and we need some positivity and some excitement here so I'm really excited about Sanders I do believe that Dylan probably did more time on that I really liked the guy and I wanted to do well nothing personal but yeah I also didn't want to see him anymore with the Sanders I just hope for some reason I do hope he's the Messiah I just hope that things go away because I'm tired of
- 1:01:44[SPEAKER_01]: another quarterback.
- 1:01:45[SPEAKER_01]: I became a fan after the zero, 16 season because they won heart knocks and I'm just tired of this, you know, this cycle.
- 1:01:52[SPEAKER_01]: So let's hope that Sanders says doing well and that we can develop him and hopefully find a friend to us quarterback.
- 1:01:57[SPEAKER_01]: Go Browns.
- 1:01:57[SPEAKER_01]: We'll move.
- 1:02:00[SPEAKER_02]: First of all, first caller from Dubai.
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_02]: So that was nice.
- 1:02:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_02]: Here he calls from literally all over the world.
- 1:02:08[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, not to get like sentimental, but we started this podcast five years ago.
- 1:02:12[SPEAKER_02]: We had like eight views on every video for the first year.
- 1:02:16[SPEAKER_02]: You know?
- 1:02:17[SPEAKER_02]: So the fact that we're getting calls from Dubai now is that's just wild.
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_02]: By the way, Dubai is like on a bucket list city.
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_02]: It looks awesome.
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_02]: I'd love to go there someday.
- 1:02:25[SPEAKER_02]: And then...
- 1:02:27[SPEAKER_02]: The fact that you became a fan after we went, oh, it's 16.
- 1:02:30[SPEAKER_02]: The glutton for punishment, but you came in at a great time because there was a ton of people who did that window right there was I mean honestly you've been here for the most success we've had in since 1999 honestly so like that's what some people like I know that this season is sucked and last season is sucked, but it really if you take a step back and look at it.
- 1:02:50[SPEAKER_02]: We just had the most successful era of Climbron's football we've had in most of our lives.
- 1:02:54[SPEAKER_02]: So, which is what makes this heart so bad because it felt like we were on the up and up.
- 1:02:58[SPEAKER_02]: And then we just fell off a cliff.
- 1:03:01[SPEAKER_02]: But thank you for the call.
- 1:03:02[SPEAKER_02]: Keep them coming in and that was awesome.
- 1:03:05[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, so I was looking at, what was it?
- 1:03:09[SPEAKER_05]: Daniel, if you see, I think, posted this on next.
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_05]: I can't remember the exact number or the exact stat, but it's something like 27 seasons now, since the return in 1999, and we've had four winning seasons.
- 1:03:21[SPEAKER_05]: today, just secured the 23rd, losing season since 1999.
- 1:03:27[SPEAKER_05]: That's not good.
- 1:03:28[SPEAKER_05]: It's been, if people are like, man, you browns, browns fans are freaking loyal.
- 1:03:34[SPEAKER_05]: You don't go through the crap we've gone through for all these years and still be here.
- 1:03:41[SPEAKER_05]: Dammit, whenever the browns are actually good, you just wait.
- 1:03:44[SPEAKER_05]: We're going to be unbearable.
- 1:03:46[SPEAKER_09]: Hey man, browns fans will have like five X, Y is before they get rid of their team.
- 1:03:50[SPEAKER_09]: It's crazy.
- 1:03:51[SPEAKER_09]: Our X husband sort of goes both way, but you know what I mean?
- 1:03:54[SPEAKER_09]: Like it's, it's wild.
- 1:03:56[SPEAKER_09]: And we just keep putting up with the same old stuff every year.
- 1:03:59[SPEAKER_09]: It's like it never changes.
- 1:04:01[SPEAKER_09]: The coaches change.
- 1:04:02[SPEAKER_09]: the GM's change hell man even our owners have changed like in my lifetime I've had three four owners like that's crazy and like I'm older than you guys I'm 50 and I say this every time I at least like when I was 10 years old 10 to 1990 I got to see Bernie Cosa on the boys I got to see some winning the AFC championship so it keeps me in a lot of those players keep us in and uh since 99 man all it's been is a huff to the midsection it's been awful
- 1:04:31[SPEAKER_02]: You know what really sucks too is like the reason this sucks so bad and it's hard is like I said if felt like we were on the rise we were on the Ascension I mean we were We were stopping Chad Hennie away from going to the afc championship game a few years ago We're a non helmet to helmet call
- 1:04:51[SPEAKER_02]: a fumble out of the end zone by Rashard Higgins away from going to an AMC championship game possibly and it's one of those things where like how much of it can you trace back to Baker throwing a pick and hurting his shoulder.
- 1:05:06[SPEAKER_02]: And it's like, from that moment, just tiny little dominoes, slowly falling, poor play by Baker, beef in the locker room, Odell, beef, then we move on from Baker and we get to Sean, he sucks, another large domino, money tied up, can't add talent, don't have first on.
- 1:05:28[SPEAKER_02]: And it's like, how much, like, if he just doesn't throw that pick.
- 1:05:31[SPEAKER_02]: where are we today.
- 1:05:32[SPEAKER_05]: Hey, man, if he would have just 1,000 stop running the route.
- 1:05:36[SPEAKER_09]: If he just, if if Baker would have just sat his ass that season, it had case canemplay because that's the most I've seen us pay a backup quarterback was $9,10 million.
- 1:05:45[SPEAKER_09]: Case canemoto done fine.
- 1:05:48[SPEAKER_09]: He was.
- 1:05:49[SPEAKER_09]: three and all of that year, I believe.
- 1:05:51[SPEAKER_09]: And we had a decent running game.
- 1:05:52[SPEAKER_09]: We had a decent line, but Baker was too afraid of what how case kingdom might performance to FASC's offense and would lose a money.
- 1:06:01[SPEAKER_09]: Well, we all lost in the end because we got to show on which was a Dominion mentioned and we've just been rather less ever since.
- 1:06:10[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 1:06:11[SPEAKER_05]: But I was going to say, let's
- 1:06:13[SPEAKER_05]: Forget about today.
- 1:06:13[SPEAKER_05]: Today's sucked, I'm done.
- 1:06:15[SPEAKER_05]: T-Ray, super chat.
- 1:06:16[SPEAKER_05]: Thank you, says I don't know about you all, but I'm ready for the Sanders Vs. Cam Ward matchup.
- 1:06:21[SPEAKER_05]: Next week, the excitement is about to feed families.
- 1:06:23[SPEAKER_05]: We're gonna be there for it, you guys.
- 1:06:26[SPEAKER_02]: not at the game, but we're going to be live on I would do that to myself.
- 1:06:31[SPEAKER_02]: We are going to be live on YouTube for the entire game.
- 1:06:34[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to be watching the game live streaming us watching the game.
- 1:06:37[SPEAKER_02]: So come hang out with us on Sunday next week in the chat.
- 1:06:40[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to be live for the entirety of the game.
- 1:06:42[SPEAKER_02]: We'll probably jump on a little bit before.
- 1:06:43[SPEAKER_02]: Give some of our our thoughts.
- 1:06:45[SPEAKER_02]: And then it's just going to be like hanging out.
- 1:06:48[SPEAKER_02]: with the boys watching the game so make sure you guys come hang out this next week one p.m. for that match up we can't wait to uh... to watch a game is bad as today was i think we're gonna i would pick the brown still in that's uh... so uh... i think we'll get after came over i think miles is still on a mission the defense
- 1:07:07[SPEAKER_02]: one smiles to get that record and they're on a mission and so like I expect us to make his life miserable because if there's a wide receiver core in the league worse and ours it's theirs and our defense is way better than their defense so i'm excited to see should door now for another a third week of starter preparation a third game at home hopefully a little bit better weather conditions not as windy so we're excited to be on youtube live with you guys for the you know four hours next week watching this game so make sure you guys come hang out with us
- 1:07:37[SPEAKER_09]: I'm excited.
- 1:07:38[SPEAKER_09]: I think the running games got a little bit like they looked okay.
- 1:07:41[SPEAKER_09]: Like they were 31 of 138 yards and hopefully we can get a couple punch a couple touchdowns in.
- 1:07:47[SPEAKER_09]: See a little bit more wildcat with Quinch on Jenkins and just receivers don't screw anything up throw to our tight ends.
- 1:07:56[SPEAKER_02]: Titans have a better receiver, they have better receivers than us, probably, but it's at least like they're at least the most comparable wide receiver room.
- 1:08:03[SPEAKER_02]: But I can honestly say before we get out of here, I pose this question a while ago, if you took the Browns wide receivers and put them on a higher state's current team, which of the Browns wide receivers right now would start at a higher state?
- 1:08:22[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, Judy starts over in us.
- 1:08:24[SPEAKER_02]: Judy would probably, if you really think back, Judy was a, he was awesome in college.
- 1:08:30[SPEAKER_02]: But he would probably start, he would start over in us, or wide receiver three, because he's not better than Jeremiah Smith, and he's not better than Cardinal Tate.
- 1:08:39[SPEAKER_02]: So this is what we're asking in quarterbacks to in coaches to call plays for in quarterbacks to throw to they wouldn't be we don't have a number one or see for our college team in this state of Ohio on the current NFL Browns professional team.
- 1:08:55[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm dead serious about that if, and you can say if you put him on a college team, he'd obviously be the number one, but look at it at the reverse.
- 1:09:02[SPEAKER_02]: If Ohio State loaned us Jeremiah Smith and Cardinal Tate right now to the Browns to use for the next game, they'd be the one too for the Browns next game.
- 1:09:11[SPEAKER_02]: For sure.
- 1:09:12[SPEAKER_02]: For sure.
- 1:09:13[SPEAKER_02]: So it's, you can't, and outside of, outside of Jerry Judy, there's not a wide receiver on the Browns roster that get playing time at Ohio State.
- 1:09:23[SPEAKER_09]: Now tell me the socks like this, nobody's got enough, nobody, yeah, nobody would.
- 1:09:30[SPEAKER_09]: can get open like I mean, I don't know, even in college.
- 1:09:34[SPEAKER_09]: So this is right.
- 1:09:35[SPEAKER_02]: And then this guy says this fan in even started Ohio State.
- 1:09:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he's a tight end.
- 1:09:39[SPEAKER_02]: He would he would definitely start it.
- 1:09:41[SPEAKER_02]: He's a fan is very good in the NFL.
- 1:09:44[SPEAKER_09]: He would definitely.
- 1:09:45[SPEAKER_09]: He would play every position.
- 1:09:47[SPEAKER_09]: That guy is unreal.
- 1:09:48[SPEAKER_05]: He led college football and receptions and yards playing for bowling green last year.
- 1:09:53[SPEAKER_02]: He would he would definitely play at Ohio State.
- 1:09:56[SPEAKER_02]: But none of our like maybe
- 1:10:00[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not, maybe you would play, maybe you would get run at Ohio State, but that's how bad this wide receiver core is.
- 1:10:09[SPEAKER_02]: They would not start at our college team in this state, that it's also how good Ohio State's wide receiver in core is.
- 1:10:16[SPEAKER_02]: True.
- 1:10:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's incredible.
- 1:10:19[SPEAKER_02]: So, but on that note, we'll wrap this thing up.
- 1:10:22[SPEAKER_02]: We appreciate Kenny Stepan in for Justin.
