- 0:00Speaker 1: My throat finally clears.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Right, Yeah. The only downside recording earlier. Yeah, your body's
- 0:06Speaker 2: not like used to it yet, you know.
- 0:10Speaker 1: And you can probably hear my fucking stomach making all
- 0:12Speaker 1: sorts of curling noises because I'm hungry, just because that's
- 0:15Speaker 1: what it does in the morning.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Now it gurgles, Oh man, louder than I am.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Right, Oh, happy Tuesday, all right, I remember.
- 0:37Speaker 1: No, we never had really a a smoked thing intro.
- 0:41Speaker 2: The one thing, only the one thing. Hey, Duffy want
- 0:45Speaker 2: a puffy.
- 0:47Speaker 1: And yes I would.
- 0:50Speaker 2: I forgot how good that was. Yeah, you know what
- 0:54Speaker 2: you need to do is get your soundboard on your
- 0:56Speaker 2: fucking computer somewhere playing games. It's just not a bad idea.
- 1:01Speaker 1: I mean, Discord already has like a built in soboard,
- 1:04Speaker 1: and I have voice mod that can also function as
- 1:06Speaker 1: a voice as a thing. The only downside is I
- 1:09Speaker 1: would have to make voice mod my primary mic. Oh no,
- 1:13Speaker 1: every time I go to use my mic, i'd have
- 1:16Speaker 1: to have voice mod active, although I have to keep
- 1:18Speaker 1: swapping back and forth every time I'm in in a
- 1:20Speaker 1: game or jumping out Discord. That's the only downside that's true.
- 1:25Speaker 2: I didn't think about it that way. Fuck yeah, no,
- 1:29Speaker 2: figure it out, but that would be awesome. Yeah, but yeah,
- 1:32Speaker 2: Discord has it. We do Discord a lot o there now,
- 1:35Speaker 2: Like proximity was fine, but.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Proximity anybody factor is funny, it's good. Its just it
- 1:41Speaker 1: would be more fun with more people because otherwise it's
- 1:43Speaker 1: just you and I. It doesn't make sense otherwise. And
- 1:46Speaker 1: we got as soon as we got the radios, it's
- 1:47Speaker 1: like oh at that point, just paying Discord, Like why
- 1:50Speaker 1: I have a radio. It's not like idliners where it's
- 1:53Speaker 1: a little bit more what's the word. Uh, I don't
- 1:59Speaker 1: want to say unique. It's not or genuine because that's
- 2:03Speaker 1: not why.
- 2:03Speaker 2: It just it fits better. I'm trying to I don't know.
- 2:06Speaker 2: It's more compatible.
- 2:08Speaker 1: It's the style, I guess, yeah.
- 2:10Speaker 2: The gameplay style. Yeah, like I understand to have the
- 2:15Speaker 2: the voice distance ship in it. But yeah, for that
- 2:19Speaker 2: type of game, especially when you're upgrading technology so much,
- 2:22Speaker 2: why not have it on Discord?
- 2:23Speaker 1: Right, Yeah, because eventually you'll just be talking through people
- 2:26Speaker 1: through the radio anyways.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Yeah exactly. But yeah, I'm fucking one hundred percent down
- 2:30Speaker 2: to play today. Nothing else is happening today now, so
- 2:33Speaker 2: fuck yeah, I'm I mean, just this sneak preview for
- 2:38Speaker 2: you people who are gonna watch this later, even though
- 2:40Speaker 2: it's going to be in the past. We're playing maybe
- 2:42Speaker 2: artifactor after this you don't be able to see it though,
- 2:46Speaker 2: well he maybe you will. Maybe, yeah, we'll see. It'll
- 2:49Speaker 2: be a past thing. All right, you get ready to
- 2:52Speaker 2: start this smoke session up here. Let's get this thing going.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Let's see if I have a filter now, so oh yeah, yeah,
- 3:02Speaker 2: but one, Oh my god, look how thick that was.
- 3:05Speaker 2: I barely touched the dude. It came out as a
- 3:07Speaker 2: thick ass cloud. All right, let's get the started, bitches.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Wom well, let this bag.
- 3:16Speaker 1: For get started in two minutes where you.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Get started soon? Oh man, yeah, that's a thick cloud
- 3:27Speaker 2: in there. Dude. Which herb did you use? Is Dante's referdle.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Sure?
- 3:35Speaker 2: Okay, cool? It was weird.
- 3:39Speaker 1: It was one or two bags, and I don't recall
- 3:42Speaker 1: reading either of them when I grabbed him, so it
- 3:46Speaker 1: was honestly, it was honestly what it was ever in
- 3:48Speaker 1: the grinder last, so it could have been Dante's, it
- 3:50Speaker 1: could have been anything.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Cool. Cool. Well, the good thing is we can still
- 3:55Speaker 2: advertise where we got this well because they both came
- 3:57Speaker 2: from the same spot. That is true. So today we
- 4:02Speaker 2: are smoking for our waking bake Dante's Infernal. Possibly. I
- 4:08Speaker 2: can't remember what the other stuff was called. It was,
- 4:12Speaker 2: oh you got the bag? Oh nice, I told you.
- 4:14Speaker 1: It was one of the two bags that just didn't
- 4:15Speaker 1: read either one Radsmin runs, Raspberry runs.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Ramen run. Oh yeah, Man runs cool. All right, So
- 4:28Speaker 2: either either smoking Dante's Infernal or ras Man Run. Never
- 4:31Speaker 2: heard of that. Neither.
- 4:32Speaker 1: There's a million types of runs, yeah, but.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Not ras Man's. But we got both of those over
- 4:38Speaker 2: at weed Stock on Ward Road in western New York,
- 4:43Speaker 2: in between like Niagara Falls and what is that like
- 4:48Speaker 2: Pendleton there, you.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Guys, Yeah, something like that.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Really good prices, really really really good or definitely if
- 4:59Speaker 2: you're ever in there, you hit up weed Stock. It's
- 5:01Speaker 2: a very small area off the side here.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Is great American owned.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Yeah, no taxes, very good prices, real good homegrown. Or
- 5:12Speaker 2: they have other things too, which is really nice. And
- 5:14Speaker 2: this is where I'm really liking weed Stock is the
- 5:18Speaker 2: variety of different types of stuff. It's not just like
- 5:21Speaker 2: here's a bunch of flour and here's a bunch of apes.
- 5:23Speaker 2: It's like here's a bunch of specific candy bars, here's
- 5:26Speaker 2: a bunch of suckers, here's a bunch of like durak,
- 5:29Speaker 2: Like they have everything there and it's nice and they
- 5:31Speaker 2: don't go like overboard like all boushie, like it's an
- 5:34Speaker 2: apple store. You know, it's like everything's displayed perfect. It's
- 5:38Speaker 2: like not just you come to the counter, what you like,
- 5:40Speaker 2: all right, here you go and you got like one
- 5:42Speaker 2: hundred different types of stuff too, which is great.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Yeah, as always, we always seem to have the best
- 5:48Speaker 1: best places around here, like seriously for your recreational needs.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Really yeah, and everything here for the most part of
- 5:57Speaker 2: the recreational places, they are almost all metal grade to which.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Is what's all license, all legal, all all very good quality.
- 6:06Speaker 1: I don't think there's one place we've gone to that
- 6:08Speaker 1: hasn't given us something that we haven't been impressed by
- 6:11Speaker 1: or like we got to go back and get more
- 6:12Speaker 1: of that.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm I'm in agreement. There hasn't been a single
- 6:16Speaker 2: time yet like we're all give us this. We are
- 6:18Speaker 2: very lucky in the venues that we choose for our
- 6:22Speaker 2: supply and stuff because every choice that we've made has
- 6:26Speaker 2: worked out for us.
- 6:27Speaker 1: It's really funny because, like to anyone else past the local,
- 6:34Speaker 1: if you ask what do you think about New York,
- 6:36Speaker 1: the first thought is always New York City, right, because
- 6:39Speaker 1: that's what everybody thinks.
- 6:40Speaker 2: When you think that's fair, I get that nobody really.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Thinks too much about Western New York until you start
- 6:44Speaker 1: talking about the falls. And so when you come out
- 6:47Speaker 1: this way, you're always really surprised at how many like
- 6:50Speaker 1: good locally or owned businesses there are and how how
- 6:54Speaker 1: high quality they keep their products compared to chain places.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Right.
- 6:59Speaker 1: So so it's always great to check out there is
- 7:03Speaker 1: is stuff in our area at least because you'll get
- 7:05Speaker 1: quality of nothing else.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Right. And again, like all you said, Western New York, Yeah,
- 7:10Speaker 2: we're known for like the Niagara Falls, Buffalo bills.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Yeah, once in a while Buffalo is mentioned, and yeah,
- 7:16Speaker 1: half the time it's for good reasons.
- 7:18Speaker 2: And we do have a lot here and nobody really talking.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Let's fucking talk local shit real quick. A lot of
- 7:23Speaker 2: people don't like in our area Western New York. Again,
- 7:26Speaker 2: like all you said, you know about the city, you
- 7:28Speaker 2: know about Shire like that, right, Wester New York are
- 7:30Speaker 2: area of Buffalo. Yeah, we have Niagara Falls, which is
- 7:32Speaker 2: one of the seven Wonders of the fucking world. Like
- 7:35Speaker 2: I keep forgetting that ship too.
- 7:37Speaker 1: It's because to everybody else, it's a wonderful fall that
- 7:42Speaker 1: is better observed from the Canadian side, right.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Yes, Yes, I love America. I love America my entire heart.
- 7:49Speaker 2: I'm just saying their falls and the side of their
- 7:52Speaker 2: falls is a lot cleaner than I heard.
- 7:54Speaker 1: They got also much better view of the falls compared
- 7:56Speaker 1: to us.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Yeah, we got more like a side view.
- 7:59Speaker 1: They've got like a full like you could see it
- 8:01Speaker 1: across the way, like across the the chasm that's there.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Yeah, and there falls is the horseshoe ones. Ours is
- 8:07Speaker 2: the straight fall. Yeah yeah, yeah, there's two different sets
- 8:10Speaker 2: of Ours.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Is the one that people keep jumping in barrels and
- 8:12Speaker 1: going over.
- 8:13Speaker 2: There because there's rocks at the end. Just you live,
- 8:18Speaker 2: you live in the New York Niagara Falls. Yeah, I'm
- 8:20Speaker 2: jumping over this, bitch.
- 8:22Speaker 1: There's also a naturally forming whirlpool like three miles down
- 8:26Speaker 1: the river called the Devil's Hole because people keep getting
- 8:30Speaker 1: sucked in it and drowning because the idiots if you're
- 8:32Speaker 1: in the river and you know and don't go swimming
- 8:34Speaker 1: it out, you're fucking dead. Don't don't.
- 8:36Speaker 2: We did that.
- 8:37Speaker 1: It's beautiful to look at, don't go near it.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Like, no joke, we didn't. You ever been down the
- 8:42Speaker 2: Devil's One? Oh yeah, I.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Used to work at the aquarium over there, remember, Oh fuck?
- 8:45Speaker 2: Yeah, So you actually walked down that little path of
- 8:48Speaker 2: the fucking stair steep stairs.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Yeah, you can slip down all into the water, which
- 8:55Speaker 1: is probably what happens to like percent.
- 8:58Speaker 4: Of the.
- 9:01Speaker 2: One year it was myself. My parents came along, right, Yeah,
- 9:07Speaker 2: tours death Trap. Uh, my ex, her kids, and my
- 9:12Speaker 2: parents all went on. There's a jet boat that goes
- 9:15Speaker 2: down the Niagara River. No joke, has a jet This
- 9:17Speaker 2: boat has a jet engine on it. It's fucking awesome.
- 9:20Speaker 2: You go flying. But they actually take this boat down
- 9:24Speaker 2: to the whirlpool and you actually start to go in
- 9:26Speaker 2: it a bit because and it is safe enough, this
- 9:29Speaker 2: type of craft, it actually can't push itself out of
- 9:33Speaker 2: almost anything.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Also, it's also a mass thing. The reason why whirlpools
- 9:36Speaker 1: are so dangerous because if your human size getting sucked in,
- 9:40Speaker 1: eventually it is going to suck you. Right, if you
- 9:43Speaker 1: have a large enough mass it doesn't have enough force
- 9:46Speaker 1: to suck your vessel in.
- 9:47Speaker 2: That's you spin. Yeah you do. It's cool because you're
- 9:50Speaker 2: just like there's like fifty video you can get out
- 9:52Speaker 2: of it. Yeah, but yeah, I'm glad you brought that up.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Mans won't talk about that much forever.
- 9:58Speaker 1: In the area.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Obviously, the views great. There's the Niagara Falls, The Niagara
- 10:01Speaker 2: Park is right there, you park, go check that stuff out.
- 10:04Speaker 2: There's obviously the overlook we have that they get built
- 10:07Speaker 2: like fifteen twenty years ago. You can actually go up
- 10:09Speaker 2: to this tower and there's a a laney you walk
- 10:12Speaker 2: across and you are over the water.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Straight down that the Aquireum and Iagara, the one on
- 10:16Speaker 1: the American side is actually in the process of upgrading.
- 10:20Speaker 1: So when I really when I worked there, we just
- 10:23Speaker 1: got our AZA accreditation anyone who's not familiar as accreditation
- 10:27Speaker 1: is basically the highest bar in zoological facility, uh, maintenance
- 10:33Speaker 1: and all that stuff. Basically, we kept our standards so
- 10:38Speaker 1: high that those animals literally lived eight and slept better
- 10:42Speaker 1: than your average human being.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Hoy fucked. See that's awesome.
- 10:46Speaker 1: And you get this ASA ASA accreditation, you get funding,
- 10:51Speaker 1: you can get part of programs you get basically put on,
- 10:55Speaker 1: you know, tourists lists, so they purposely send people out
- 10:58Speaker 1: more often stuff like that. So it was it was
- 11:00Speaker 1: worth doing. I was glad to be a part of it.
- 11:03Speaker 1: I'm glad they got it shortly after they got their
- 11:06Speaker 1: first jellyfish exhibit Aliens of the Sea.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Then a couple of years back, after I've already left
- 11:12Speaker 1: the place, they got a touch tank or set up
- 11:15Speaker 1: all that, you know, a nice little area set up there.
- 11:18Speaker 1: I hear they are actually grabbing up some land finally
- 11:23Speaker 1: and getting a second building.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Holy crap.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Really, Yeah, a second facility, second facility building that they'll
- 11:29Speaker 1: have more exhibits and stuff they can do on in there,
- 11:32Speaker 1: good man, And they need it to be Like if
- 11:36Speaker 1: anyone who's ever visited or who hasn't look up pictures
- 11:39Speaker 1: of it, it's fucking small. It is probably one of
- 11:43Speaker 1: the smallest aquariums out there, not the smallest, but one
- 11:45Speaker 1: of them. The reason why is because when they went
- 11:48Speaker 1: back and bought the land previously to get the aquarium
- 11:51Speaker 1: set up in the first place, the city sold just
- 11:54Speaker 1: that land and then immediately started building housing around it. Yeah,
- 11:57Speaker 1: so they couldn't expand they were basically trying on this
- 12:00Speaker 1: island of grass with this veryl a building only big
- 12:05Speaker 1: enough to maybe house like three hundred people at a time.
- 12:08Speaker 1: And yeah, tourism in the Niagara Falls area, you're getting
- 12:12Speaker 1: thousands of people in and out every day, so having
- 12:15Speaker 1: that limited capacity could be quite annoying.
- 12:18Speaker 2: And when that place was busy, it was fucking busy.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Oh god, yeah, I always guest services.
- 12:23Speaker 2: I was at the front door.
- 12:25Speaker 1: I know it was busy.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Yeah, all this shit, but yeah, definitely, I know our
- 12:33Speaker 2: area is not the greatest. Just be cautious, but like
- 12:37Speaker 2: it really is gorgeous. The fact that they're redoing it
- 12:39Speaker 2: down there, and they have, They've they've improved a lot
- 12:42Speaker 2: in Niagra Falls and in our area a lot. They're
- 12:44Speaker 2: redoing all the roads and stuff. I think New York
- 12:46Speaker 2: got just be grant or something because they're just starting
- 12:49Speaker 2: to go crazy on renovations and stuff. But we need
- 12:53Speaker 2: I'm fucking happy. I love that shit. I don't even
- 12:55Speaker 2: know how to funk we got in the Taga Falls.
- 12:58Speaker 1: I mean, if you're not a Niagara Falls, you want
- 13:00Speaker 1: to go to Buffalo. The Buffalo Zoo was always a
- 13:01Speaker 1: good place.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Yeah, we were talking about our area.
- 13:03Speaker 1: That's internet.
- 13:05Speaker 2: The Buffalo Zoo. Fucking if you know anything about animals,
- 13:08Speaker 2: if you're in.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Western New York and you're going to an animal facility
- 13:11Speaker 1: to like zoo and aquarium, chances are I've either intered there,
- 13:14Speaker 1: worked there, or been there like ten times every year
- 13:18Speaker 1: since I was born.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Just look at it, just looking at ship and stuff.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Her zoo is pretty bad ass.
- 13:22Speaker 1: I'll give it.
- 13:23Speaker 2: I'll give Buffalo that, the Buffalo Zoo.
- 13:25Speaker 1: No, Toronto Zoo.
- 13:26Speaker 2: No.
- 13:27Speaker 1: But it's fucking good for what it is.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Yeah, it is, and it's a good size and even
- 13:32Speaker 2: the amenities. Like the last time we went, we all went,
- 13:36Speaker 2: which is great. The time before that I went was
- 13:38Speaker 2: like twelve years before that, so there was like off
- 13:42Speaker 2: food stand and like that building thing, and it was
- 13:44Speaker 2: not much or really else around. Going on to.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Their Yeah, to their credit, they didn't always have a
- 13:49Speaker 1: whole lot, and their exhibits they did become easy at
- 13:53Speaker 1: credit eventually, but their exhibits were the ones that needed
- 13:55Speaker 1: to get changed the most. The biggest thing was the
- 13:58Speaker 1: polar bear exhibits.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Now you'll see if you ever look up old pictures
- 14:02Speaker 1: like look pre two thousand pictures of Buffalo Zoo's bear exhibits,
- 14:06Speaker 1: the grizzly, the kodiak, and the polar bear. Their exhibits
- 14:09Speaker 1: were very simplistic and not very good and incredibly dangerous
- 14:14Speaker 1: for both the animal and the keeper. It was just
- 14:17Speaker 1: what it was back in the day. They didn't have
- 14:19Speaker 1: those kind of standards now though. If you ever check
- 14:21Speaker 1: out their polar bear exhibit, it it's like a snapshot
- 14:25Speaker 1: from their natural environment. It did such a good job
- 14:28Speaker 1: at it. And then with all the other ones. Do
- 14:30Speaker 1: they have American bald eagles, we have lynxes. The rhino
- 14:35Speaker 1: breeding program that I got to help out when I
- 14:37Speaker 1: was interning there.
- 14:38Speaker 2: You were working with the fucking rhino.
- 14:39Speaker 1: I was working with George and Tasha, Yes, And I
- 14:42Speaker 1: got to help George out when he got a little sick,
- 14:45Speaker 1: and we got to watch Tasha get in heat and
- 14:49Speaker 1: try to kill us a million times. Male anything that
- 14:55Speaker 1: isn't another male rhino killing pretty much, that's just how
- 15:00Speaker 1: that's just how it goes.
- 15:01Speaker 2: When it's kind of cool though. Yeah, but but yeah,
- 15:03Speaker 2: the zoo's nice. I like it, and it's very uh accommodating.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Would like and change a little bit of the rainforest
- 15:12Speaker 1: they got in there. It was cool and awesome to
- 15:15Speaker 1: begin with, but they quickly realized how hard it is
- 15:18Speaker 1: to maintain. It is very hard to maintain, and people
- 15:20Speaker 1: don't really like it that much because with it constantly
- 15:23Speaker 1: being humid and wet, it stinks, it smells because the
- 15:27Speaker 1: soil is always damp. The animals who are defecating their birds. Yeah,
- 15:32Speaker 1: but that's just how the rainforest was. But also natural
- 15:35Speaker 1: rainforest absorbed all that right away, every rainfall and use it.
- 15:39Speaker 1: It's hard to do in a artificial environment, right, you
- 15:42Speaker 1: can replicate it so much, but they're going to get
- 15:45Speaker 1: pool on stuff. Yeah, it's not gonna there's going to
- 15:48Speaker 1: be complications. Yeah. Last I heard they were working on something.
- 15:52Speaker 1: We'll see where that goes.
- 15:53Speaker 2: They'd be cool. But yeah, the zoo was great, man.
- 15:56Speaker 2: I really do enjoy it there. The food there's really
- 15:58Speaker 2: fucking good. There's events all the time time, and they
- 16:01Speaker 2: do a nighttime zoo thing. We're members of the zoo,
- 16:06Speaker 2: but they do a nighttime thing. You go there at
- 16:07Speaker 2: night and they do like, uh, you know, they have
- 16:09Speaker 2: a school too, like an actual like humans zooschool.
- 16:13Speaker 1: What it's a summer camp what that you can go
- 16:16Speaker 1: to and you would spend a day in a classroom. Uh,
- 16:20Speaker 1: there would be keepers that would come in and oftentimes
- 16:23Speaker 1: do lessons or bring in animals, like small animals that
- 16:26Speaker 1: you can touch, and they teach you about You learn
- 16:29Speaker 1: all things about animals and evolution and the environments and
- 16:33Speaker 1: all that cool stuff, and then they would take you
- 16:35Speaker 1: on tour around the zoo. Sometimes you'd even get to
- 16:38Speaker 1: go behind the scenes. Well they'd have special like cases
- 16:41Speaker 1: where they even bring out the animal to you and
- 16:43Speaker 1: stuff like that. I usually do that as a kid.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Definitely didn't factor into my love oft and biology and
- 16:50Speaker 1: all that shit today.
- 16:51Speaker 2: No, not at all, not even a little bit.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Between that and watching Steve orn on TV every day.
- 16:55Speaker 2: No high school. Yeah, yeah, man, that's so fucking awesome.
- 17:00Speaker 2: We got to get back to that zoo. But yeah,
- 17:02Speaker 2: like question, k, there's actually a lot to do around here.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Just a few weeks ago, I went back and helped
- 17:08Speaker 2: out at my old job at the winery on the
- 17:12Speaker 2: Niagara Wine Trail. Now, if obviously a lot of people
- 17:15Speaker 2: aren't from around this area, the Niagara Wine Trail starts
- 17:18Speaker 2: in New York and goes all the way up through
- 17:20Speaker 2: and into Canada. So the Niaga wine trail split between
- 17:23Speaker 2: the US and Canada. It's really badass. And the reason
- 17:26Speaker 2: is because the escarpment, well we had one. Oh yeah,
- 17:29Speaker 2: it's one of the best. It's one of the best
- 17:31Speaker 2: soils to make a pino and stuff like the reds
- 17:34Speaker 2: is the escarpment.
- 17:35Speaker 1: I mean, I know why our soil is so good,
- 17:37Speaker 1: Like New York soil has always been great.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Rapes, yeah, and apples, obviously, I was gonna talk about
- 17:45Speaker 2: after the wine.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Yeah, New York City, the big Apple.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, like no Joe, Yeah, we are known for
- 17:50Speaker 2: this year. Like there's no joke. We can walk five
- 17:52Speaker 2: minutes that way and we're in an apple, or we.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Can walk thirty seconds that way and we're in our.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Yeah, got me a good point.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Apple's is pretty concise around here.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Yeah, But like Western New York. What's cool? Like we
- 18:06Speaker 2: have this this Niagara Wine Trail, And I don't know
- 18:10Speaker 2: the exact number. It's been a while. I haven't worked
- 18:12Speaker 2: at the winery for over five years now. I think
- 18:14Speaker 2: it's been a bit. And at the time there were
- 18:16Speaker 2: twenty two wineries on the American side that participated in it,
- 18:19Speaker 2: and one was a distillery to the Gin, and one
- 18:22Speaker 2: was a Mederi in Madina, which is awesome. Love that place.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Kim her the name of it now though, but it's
- 18:29Speaker 2: so good. Meadworks eight ten Meatworks, that's what it's called,
- 18:33Speaker 2: Eighten Meatworks. But the wineries, like if if you are
- 18:36Speaker 2: into wine, like, no joke, this is what I would do.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Come come to Western New York. Get a hotel, airbnb something,
- 18:44Speaker 2: get yourself a driver, whether it just be an uber,
- 18:47Speaker 2: a friend who doesn't drink, rent a limo or what
- 18:51Speaker 2: we do is you get a few friends together, rent
- 18:53Speaker 2: a fucking bus. Again used to I don't drink anymore,
- 18:56Speaker 2: so a little good with a bad yeah.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:58Speaker 2: But the wineries, yeah, and the winery you just go
- 19:01Speaker 2: from one to the other. And each winery has their
- 19:04Speaker 2: own specialty. And I'm not just talking wine. I'm talking
- 19:06Speaker 2: some new pairings. Like the winery I work at worked
- 19:10Speaker 2: at help out now as a gust of Sun winery,
- 19:13Speaker 2: and they used to do Belgium Gourna made chocolates, mixure
- 19:15Speaker 2: of their wines, and now they're going back to a
- 19:17Speaker 2: couple other things.
- 19:18Speaker 1: What right, Well, I'm laughing because you're talking about these
- 19:22Speaker 1: big facilities literally like every day, every weekend at least
- 19:27Speaker 1: when I'm going and go working out at the festival
- 19:29Speaker 1: over there, I go buy a winery. But you know
- 19:33Speaker 1: what their winery is. It's literally a winery and bar
- 19:38Speaker 1: that they operate out of their garage.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Yeah, and they have a small apple orchard next to them.
- 19:45Speaker 1: It's their apple orchards. So they make apple wines and
- 19:48Speaker 1: sell it out of the garage, and they they have
- 19:51Speaker 1: a sign. Everything they're allowed to. They have a license,
- 19:53Speaker 1: so people go.
- 19:54Speaker 2: In there and they're credited. You have a bar in
- 19:57Speaker 2: their garage.
- 19:58Speaker 1: It's amazing.
- 19:59Speaker 2: It's fucking cool, so like serious, there's like tons of
- 20:01Speaker 2: do but like location, yeah, there's so much.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Everyone's like fuck the colon' Like the cold is a
- 20:07Speaker 1: small price to pay compared to what you can fitness
- 20:10Speaker 1: what you do. I was gonna mention. I didn't want
- 20:12Speaker 1: to interrupt. I was gonna mention, like, because with all
- 20:14Speaker 1: the wines and wineries and bars and stuff like that,
- 20:19Speaker 1: bars we used to be well I say we because
- 20:22Speaker 1: I encompass every city around us as also our home
- 20:26Speaker 1: as well, but also I've also lived in this area too.
- 20:29Speaker 1: We used to have the number one most amount of
- 20:32Speaker 1: bars on a single street. Guess World, God Northanawanda.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Oliver Street, Holy Oliver Street.
- 20:42Speaker 1: They're calling it enduring urban legend because it's too hard
- 20:45Speaker 1: to prove nowadays. But like anyone who's lived it knows
- 20:48Speaker 1: for for sure, because even I talked. I talked my
- 20:51Speaker 1: boss about it the other day. We were talking about
- 20:52Speaker 1: He's like, yeah, I remember that. He's like, yeah, you
- 20:54Speaker 1: could basically step out, walk next door, go into another bar,
- 20:57Speaker 1: step out, walk next door, going to a literal.
- 21:00Speaker 2: You could.
- 21:02Speaker 1: For basically the entire mile, and you would stop every
- 21:06Speaker 1: few feet. Oh my god, I don't remember how many
- 21:11Speaker 1: there were.
- 21:12Speaker 2: I can't remember. Allen Street was pretty hard to and
- 21:14Speaker 2: it's right around the corner. What else is down there? Uh? Yeah,
- 21:18Speaker 2: I used to I used to do that, that idiot.
- 21:21Speaker 1: So the thing is is Guinness Rural Records and Ripley's
- 21:25Speaker 1: Believe It or Not did confirm back in two thousand
- 21:28Speaker 1: and seven.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Well, a second which Ripley's Believe It or Not is
- 21:31Speaker 2: in the Niagara side of the Niagara Falls and the
- 21:33Speaker 2: tor section, if you guys want to check it out.
- 21:35Speaker 1: But they did mention that they couldn't confirm or verify
- 21:40Speaker 1: that record because the North Tunnel on a History Museum
- 21:45Speaker 1: also was trying to verify that if we did in
- 21:48Speaker 1: fact have the most amount of bars, and we probably did,
- 21:52Speaker 1: but they were probably not counting the ones that people
- 21:55Speaker 1: were probably like setting up stands for or selling out
- 21:58Speaker 1: of the house or house stuff like that, because again
- 22:01Speaker 1: that's commonplace. I literally just mentioned someone has a bar
- 22:04Speaker 1: and winery bringing out of their garage. It's not uncommon
- 22:06Speaker 1: around here that you can't do. Yeah, you can do that,
- 22:10Speaker 1: but it is kind of funny. But everywhere it's literally
- 22:13Speaker 1: funny because like if you look anywhere else, it's either Canada, Scotland,
- 22:19Speaker 1: more Germany, the only other ones that would have like
- 22:23Speaker 1: the most amount, you know, in a in an area.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Amsterdam is the only other way I could think of,
- 22:28Speaker 2: just because when I was in Amsterdam, and again I
- 22:30Speaker 2: don't remember much of Amsterdam, but from when I was there,
- 22:34Speaker 2: I remember we got our hotel and I used quotes
- 22:37Speaker 2: in hotel. This four star hotel was like a one
- 22:42Speaker 2: or two star, probably a one star hotel here. It
- 22:44Speaker 2: was bad community bathroom, all this shit, and there's five
- 22:48Speaker 2: four of us sitting there. But red Light district in Amsterdam,
- 22:53Speaker 2: when you're walking down the street near the sea it
- 22:56Speaker 2: just pretty much goes bar bar fun shop, bar fire
- 23:03Speaker 2: another thing with some people say section shops. Actually, yeah,
- 23:05Speaker 2: I guess we have those too, you know, yeah we
- 23:07Speaker 2: do so yeah.
- 23:09Speaker 1: In fact, I'm pretty sure everything has except for a
- 23:12Speaker 1: few of the Yeah, the highly like Utah, they probably
- 23:16Speaker 1: got the most.
- 23:18Speaker 2: Eight hour drive away, no, or four hours or some shoot.
- 23:22Speaker 1: I was gonna saying, when you have Vegas in your backyard,
- 23:24Speaker 1: by would you.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't need to do anything else, like to
- 23:27Speaker 2: do that, but yeah, like there's so much to do,
- 23:30Speaker 2: like everything, there's a lot in this area you just
- 23:32Speaker 2: don't think of. Well, we don't think about because we don't.
- 23:34Speaker 2: We've already done it our whole lives.
- 23:36Speaker 1: I was I was gonna mention earlier, and I completely
- 23:38Speaker 1: forgot because people see as the Niagara falls, it's like
- 23:41Speaker 1: the greatest wonder in the world, like one of the
- 23:43Speaker 1: seven grade waters. To us, it's water going over rocks.
- 23:46Speaker 2: No, don't get me wrong, I'm impressed by it. I'm like,
- 23:49Speaker 2: I'm in all every time I go. But at the
- 23:50Speaker 2: same time, it's like, yeah, I know, I drive. I
- 23:53Speaker 2: used to drive that thing every fucking day, so every
- 23:55Speaker 2: at work I'd see it and I did that job
- 23:57Speaker 2: for like twelve years.
- 23:58Speaker 1: We used to take the garden hose, just hold it
- 24:00Speaker 1: up and like, look, it's Niagara Falls and that was it.
- 24:03Speaker 1: That was our Niagara Falls. In fact, I didn't even
- 24:06Speaker 1: fun fact, I never even saw Niagara Falls until I
- 24:09Speaker 1: was sixteen. No shit really, because we were that uninterested
- 24:13Speaker 1: in going to see it.
- 24:15Speaker 2: And when we did it was cool.
- 24:16Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, that's awesome because it got to see
- 24:18Speaker 1: something that naturally formed over yeah, thousands of years, and
- 24:22Speaker 1: I learn more history of this place, Like did you
- 24:25Speaker 1: know that our backyard was basically the shoreline of Lake
- 24:28Speaker 1: Ontario before it receded. Yeah, back Yeah, So that's why
- 24:33Speaker 1: if you dig far enough down you might find some
- 24:35Speaker 1: old lake sea creatures in there.
- 24:37Speaker 2: There's there's a lot of cool shit, like the Nigro Falls.
- 24:39Speaker 2: Like we've modified it enough now to where we can
- 24:42Speaker 2: turn it off. We can straight up turn the falls
- 24:45Speaker 2: off for matan yeah, maintenance and retrieval yep. For looking
- 24:51Speaker 2: for treasure.
- 24:53Speaker 1: Long lost treasure, pocket change if you will. And the
- 24:56Speaker 1: pockets of the people.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Oh god, for some reason, thing that could I would
- 25:00Speaker 2: drop off of them. How tall is it?
- 25:02Speaker 1: I don't even remember you looked that up.
- 25:04Speaker 2: I'll give these guys another fun fact. You guys getting
- 25:06Speaker 2: facts today. The other fun fact about Niagara Falls, deside
- 25:09Speaker 2: that we can turn it off, is the generators that
- 25:12Speaker 2: Niagara Falls. The electricity that's produced by those generators from
- 25:16Speaker 2: the falls can fucking power the entire East and part
- 25:20Speaker 2: of the the Central or a mid part of the US.
- 25:24Speaker 2: It's fucking nuts. What is that? Like fifteen years ago
- 25:29Speaker 2: or so, we had that sucking issue and the whole
- 25:31Speaker 2: East coast went out or some ship during that ice storm.
- 25:34Speaker 1: I don't remember iverything that happened so often it was
- 25:37Speaker 1: a blizzard of.
- 25:38Speaker 2: It wasn't a seventy seven. It was like in the
- 25:41Speaker 2: early two thousands, two thousand and five and four, No,
- 25:45Speaker 2: two thousand and three, henvy, two thousand and three.
- 25:46Speaker 1: I couldn't tell you. We had to power out here
- 25:48Speaker 1: all the time.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Oh no, this is like fucked out, knocked the whole
- 25:51Speaker 2: East coast out, the falls. Yeah, something happened to the
- 25:53Speaker 2: falls that fucked up all the generators. Everything went down.
- 25:57Speaker 2: But the cool thing is, yeah, the Canada has general
- 26:00Speaker 2: and we have generators like we have them on both sides,
- 26:02Speaker 2: which is really neat. So we all have power to
- 26:04Speaker 2: get Oh.
- 26:04Speaker 1: By the way, they say it's approximately one hundred and
- 26:08Speaker 1: eighty on her eighty four feet, though some sources site
- 26:14Speaker 1: a lower height to about one hundred and sixty seven
- 26:17Speaker 1: feet to account for the boulders at the base.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a lot too. I don't know, man, Just
- 26:23Speaker 2: if you're in the area, think about it.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Twenty feet of boulders on the way down.
- 26:27Speaker 2: God, and not to mention that wall too, has them
- 26:29Speaker 2: sticking out that's behind the waterfall and.
- 26:32Speaker 1: The falls themselves like it's crashing down at over one
- 26:35Speaker 1: hundred feet. It's like getting hit with a brick. Oh God. Yeah,
- 26:40Speaker 1: if you're underneath it, you're getting pummeled to death anyway.
- 26:43Speaker 1: So your only hope is to fall as far away
- 26:46Speaker 1: from it as possible. If you can glide into.
- 26:49Speaker 4: Like the more.
- 26:51Speaker 1: For the falls, that's the only way you're getting away
- 26:54Speaker 1: on Sanday.
- 26:56Speaker 2: No, it's so fucked up. But no, I mean, I'm
- 26:59Speaker 2: planning on going to the Fall Fluid within the next
- 27:00Speaker 2: couple of weeks. I haven't been there in a while,
- 27:02Speaker 2: and I do like it to me, I love like
- 27:05Speaker 2: you know me, when I go to Vegas. I like
- 27:06Speaker 2: walking around looking at shit.
- 27:07Speaker 1: Because there's the casino out there and all that.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Oh yeah, you forget about the fuck casino. We got
- 27:12Speaker 2: casino out there. But I love it. It's gorgeous, it's
- 27:15Speaker 2: fun to look at, and the holidays and stuff they
- 27:17Speaker 2: light them up. But now, since we're talking about the Falls,
- 27:20Speaker 2: I want to talk about Canada a little bit. Yeah.
- 27:23Speaker 2: I don't know why. I just started hit thinking about it.
- 27:25Speaker 2: If you guys ever come to go from the Falls,
- 27:28Speaker 2: definitely check it out. It's a very cheap, cool thing
- 27:30Speaker 2: to look at and walk around. Head over the Peace Bridge,
- 27:33Speaker 2: which is awesome. And then right there is Clifton Hill,
- 27:36Speaker 2: which is like a party town. There's like a ferris wheel,
- 27:40Speaker 2: there's really good food, there's clubs, there's all that stuff.
- 27:43Speaker 2: That's where I used to go. Because I don't know
- 27:45Speaker 2: if it's changed. It's been a while. So I don't
- 27:48Speaker 2: drink anymore. But when I went to Canada, the drinking
- 27:51Speaker 2: age was nineteen. So when I was nineteen, I was
- 27:54Speaker 2: crossing the border like every Friday afternoon. Man, I was like, nope,
- 27:58Speaker 2: I'm in Canada for the week.
- 28:00Speaker 1: That's how I know.
- 28:01Speaker 2: But yes, yes, I guess how you started just how
- 28:04Speaker 2: I that was my first drink over and was nineteen
- 28:06Speaker 2: legally in Canada. I had a Mulson Triple X beer
- 28:10Speaker 2: at Oh Fuck a Camera, a name of the club. Yeah,
- 28:15Speaker 2: but yeah, that was my very first legal beer or
- 28:18Speaker 2: first beer ever, I mean not just legal, first beer ever.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Yeah, my first beer ever. Definitely didn't also reveal that
- 28:24Speaker 1: I too have a weird allergy to hops, like not
- 28:30Speaker 1: a severe one, but it was enough to cause inflammation. Yeah,
- 28:34Speaker 1: that was That was the big thing. And I'm like, okay, no,
- 28:36Speaker 1: so it might be a docit chit chew and I'm like, no,
- 28:39Speaker 1: I'm not going to drink this.
- 28:41Speaker 2: Yeah, dude, I fucking lovet Canada. We need to go
- 28:43Speaker 2: back to Canada. I love it out there, man, I
- 28:46Speaker 2: really do.
- 28:47Speaker 1: Canada is like my they were when we went to
- 28:49Speaker 1: Canada last We also went up to their zoo, Toronto Zoo.
- 28:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:53Speaker 1: Yeah, that was awesome. I love how big it is.
- 28:55Speaker 1: They have a lot of exhibits. I know you weren't
- 28:58Speaker 1: a fan of their exhibit their walkthrough because there was butterflies.
- 29:03Speaker 1: Oh yeah, there was everything else and a couple species
- 29:06Speaker 1: of butterflies and he didn't like that part, not a fan,
- 29:09Speaker 1: but everything else was cool, But they were working on
- 29:13Speaker 1: their Humble Penguin exhibit last I checked, like when they
- 29:16Speaker 1: were when we were there last, but that was like
- 29:18Speaker 1: years ago. They have done that and added way more.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Since then, I would think.
- 29:23Speaker 1: So, Like they had like an arena and stuff like that,
- 29:27Speaker 1: like you go up into. So I wonder if they
- 29:28Speaker 1: were doing like showcases and stuff of them, because they
- 29:31Speaker 1: could be kind of behaviorally trained to do certain tricks,
- 29:36Speaker 1: but they're penguins, are like, I don't want to do it,
- 29:40Speaker 1: and then they won't do.
- 29:41Speaker 2: It looking at me. Okay, they're not looking at it.
- 29:45Speaker 1: Also had humble penguins, and that's the only reason why
- 29:47Speaker 1: I know they had one. I think she recently. Is
- 29:51Speaker 1: she still kicking or she passed? Very old penguin like
- 29:54Speaker 1: twice as old as any humble penguin has the right
- 29:56Speaker 1: to be like. I think they live. Yeah, I think
- 29:58Speaker 1: they live like all up to like thirteen or fifteen years.
- 30:01Speaker 1: I can't remember if anyone who knows me from there
- 30:04Speaker 1: was gonna kick my ass from not no remembering that
- 30:06Speaker 1: she said that it well, they literally said it every
- 30:09Speaker 1: single day during presentations, and I was right there next
- 30:12Speaker 1: to them when they did it. So I should remember it.
- 30:14Speaker 1: But but yeah, this was she was like thirty, oh
- 30:20Speaker 1: shit or something, and that's like twice or three times
- 30:25Speaker 1: more than they should actually live. Really, and she was fine.
- 30:28Speaker 1: She was healthy. She had like arthritis and stuff, so
- 30:31Speaker 1: they had to take extra care of her mate and
- 30:34Speaker 1: took you know, extra attention and stuff. But she seemed fine.
- 30:38Speaker 1: She had a mate at some point passed away before
- 30:41Speaker 1: she did. Usually they end up passing away shortly after
- 30:44Speaker 1: because birds tend to bonding. Birds tend to do that. No,
- 30:47Speaker 1: she was fine after that. She never met anyone after that,
- 30:51Speaker 1: but that was fine. She was perfectly fine on her own.
- 30:54Speaker 1: And then the last I left, they were in the
- 30:56Speaker 1: middle of a humble penguin breeding program and last I heard,
- 31:00Speaker 1: successfully had tons of chicks.
- 31:02Speaker 2: That's fucking awesome. Shit, dude, that's fucking neat.
- 31:06Speaker 1: There are dangered species. It was just the only reason
- 31:08Speaker 1: why they're interesting to otherwise. They're an African species of penguin.
- 31:16Speaker 1: You will never find a species of penguin north of
- 31:20Speaker 1: the equator.
- 31:22Speaker 2: They're just not allowed to be here.
- 31:24Speaker 1: They just all exist south of the equator.
- 31:27Speaker 2: Actually, yeah, there are no penguins in north which is
- 31:29Speaker 2: why when.
- 31:30Speaker 1: People show polar bears and penguins together. It makes no
- 31:32Speaker 1: fucking sense.
- 31:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I was just thinking about that. I'm like, wait,
- 31:34Speaker 2: but yeah, arno pol there's no penguins.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Yeah, in the north, polar bears and penguins that co
- 31:39Speaker 1: exist together. Polar bears live in the North, penguins live
- 31:43Speaker 1: in the South.
- 31:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't, you know. It's funny. I didn't know
- 31:46Speaker 2: that up until like a couple of years ago, like
- 31:49Speaker 2: a year or two ago, somebody said it and I
- 31:51Speaker 2: was like, waitb is it really up one? Holy fuck,
- 31:55Speaker 2: I'm forty something years old. I didn't know.
- 31:57Speaker 1: Because it's because people like, oh, ice ice ice, creatures
- 32:01Speaker 1: live together as long as they're ice.
- 32:03Speaker 2: Well, and then we're brought up that way because we
- 32:05Speaker 2: watch TV and movies and they don't fucking fact check
- 32:07Speaker 2: anything or just like somebody wrote this down put it
- 32:11Speaker 2: in the movie. Okay, no one's gonna look it up,
- 32:13Speaker 2: like is that real unless it's a documentary or some shit.
- 32:16Speaker 1: I want to say this. The Southern Polar cap has
- 32:19Speaker 1: like no has like next to nothing on it, So
- 32:23Speaker 1: the only things that can really live on it are
- 32:25Speaker 1: things that harvest from the.
- 32:27Speaker 2: Ocean and can survive that temperature, and polar bears can.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Do that, but not like to the extent that seals,
- 32:33Speaker 1: sea lions and penguins can, which is why polar bears
- 32:37Speaker 1: are up north because there is occasional floor life in
- 32:40Speaker 1: the North Caps as well as other life like elk
- 32:43Speaker 1: and moose and seals. Yeah, harbor seals ones, polar bears
- 32:51Speaker 1: can very easily get to No, that's true, not fast penguins.
- 32:58Speaker 2: Fuck, I'll tell you. Then you want to take a
- 33:00Speaker 2: quick break, we'll get some we'll rehiden'eah, I need to
- 33:05Speaker 2: get more coffee. I'm out, and then we'll get this

- 34:23Speaker 2: Hey, if you're in the Western New York area and
- 34:26Speaker 2: you are a fan of the Green head, on over
- 34:29Speaker 2: to Peace, Love and Bud at three twenty self Transit
- 34:32Speaker 2: Road in Lockport, New York. Tell him bfy tw sancha
- 34:36Speaker 2: able to hook you up. Thank you. I'll be a
- 34:49Speaker 2: lot easier to see where that's at.
- 34:53Speaker 1: No problem.
- 34:55Speaker 2: Oh, he's the professional. He knows how I can give
- 34:57Speaker 2: some like back on track for editing. Oh, I'll just
- 34:59Speaker 2: hit this.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Oh it's a break button come back from No problem,
- 35:04Speaker 1: but I got you.
- 35:05Speaker 2: It's like sweet two things. So, since we did leave
- 35:10Speaker 2: off on animals, that was impromptu, which was great. I
- 35:13Speaker 2: kind of want to continue the animal talk just a
- 35:15Speaker 2: little bit longer. And then we can go into the
- 35:17Speaker 2: few things we actually did right down to talk about today.
- 35:21Speaker 2: I got to take my cat's Ember and Ashes to
- 35:24Speaker 2: the vet last week, and I am a very paranoid motherfucker.
- 35:33Speaker 2: Luckily Pixie came with me. Both my cats. I have
- 35:36Speaker 2: a double wide cat carrier that has like a handle
- 35:41Speaker 2: and roller wheels and stuff, and there's two separate rooms
- 35:44Speaker 2: where you can take the divider out, like I did
- 35:46Speaker 2: that on purpose because Ember she's very chill, cuddly or whatnot,
- 35:51Speaker 2: but Ashes is a paranoid fuck, like hardcore paranoid. So
- 35:55Speaker 2: I'm like, oh shit, I need two cat carriers so
- 35:57Speaker 2: they can be chilled together. We give both of the
- 36:00Speaker 2: cats into their walking harnesses, not that they go for
- 36:04Speaker 2: walks because they don't, but I got walking hardnesses anyway.
- 36:10Speaker 2: So we get them in their harnesses and then we
- 36:12Speaker 2: get them into the carrier, and then we get them
- 36:14Speaker 2: down the stairs and into the car and whatnot. And
- 36:16Speaker 2: Pixie sits in the back with the cats and I'm
- 36:19Speaker 2: driving there and I'm like, all right, whatever, we get
- 36:21Speaker 2: there in the whole drive the entire it's fifteen minutes,
- 36:26Speaker 2: and Ashes is just whining. He's not like trying to
- 36:30Speaker 2: get out or like move around. He's laying down. Ember
- 36:34Speaker 2: is laying on him like half like all you see
- 36:37Speaker 2: is part of his head and he's just ara.
- 36:44Speaker 1: This is not happy.
- 36:45Speaker 2: He just pissed the fuck off and laying just laying
- 36:50Speaker 2: I'm like, dude, chill the fuck out. It's something different.
- 36:54Speaker 2: But we get to the vat and this is the
- 36:56Speaker 2: first time ever beat meeting this veat this brand new place.
- 36:59Speaker 2: I've never been there for my cats. Don't go to
- 37:01Speaker 2: the back because after I adopted them or whatever, they've
- 37:04Speaker 2: already hit their shots. They came right inside it. Weever
- 37:06Speaker 2: outside cats it it's very safe. But I was like,
- 37:09Speaker 2: fuck it, let's get all their shots up to date.
- 37:11Speaker 2: They both get their temperance shot and their I think it.
- 37:16Speaker 1: Was in their final temperate shot because they're at that
- 37:19Speaker 1: age where they're fine.
- 37:20Speaker 2: Yeah, they're older. They're both already fixed the neuter and whatnot.
- 37:26Speaker 2: But they checked them all out. Amber our little cuddly one,
- 37:30Speaker 2: the little dwarf cat.
- 37:32Speaker 1: She stunted cat. Really she was supposed to be a
- 37:35Speaker 1: dwarf cat. Clearly, the you know, because breeding dwarf isn't
- 37:41Speaker 1: do cats is bad because it's not healthy for them,
- 37:44Speaker 1: and it actually causes a lot of pain for a
- 37:46Speaker 1: lot of their joints, So don't do that. Yeah, but yeah,
- 37:50Speaker 1: they try to dwarf this cat and said she got
- 37:52Speaker 1: stunted with a with a slightly shorter jaw as well.
- 37:55Speaker 1: So she's got this kind of like.
- 37:58Speaker 2: She's adorable, always angry.
- 38:01Speaker 1: She does always look but she's kind of like as fuck.
- 38:05Speaker 2: But like she got up there and she checked her
- 38:06Speaker 2: and at first the doctor's like, oh no, I think
- 38:09Speaker 2: I think I heard a murmur, and then lifted her
- 38:11Speaker 2: up a little bit under her she's got a little
- 38:14Speaker 2: bit of a bet. She's like, oh no, she's fine.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Wasn't a remember her stomach's just growling.
- 38:21Speaker 2: She's always Yeah, her secret is she's always hungry. But
- 38:27Speaker 2: both of the cats did well. Ashes he's got some
- 38:30Speaker 2: dental issues unfortunately. He he's not a real like foodie
- 38:36Speaker 2: like Ember is. Uh. He's more of like whatever I'll
- 38:39Speaker 2: eat when I'm hungry, I don't care, kind of like us.
- 38:41Speaker 2: I guess we really don't eat unless we're really hungry. Uh,
- 38:44Speaker 2: but I have dental treats I give the cats, and
- 38:46Speaker 2: he rarely eat, like he doesn't eat them at all. Anymore.
- 38:49Speaker 2: He did the first couple of times and stopped. So
- 38:51Speaker 2: Ember eats hers and his and it's like, damn it.
- 38:55Speaker 2: For the past year. I'm like, oh, this is great.
- 38:56Speaker 2: Her teeth are great, They're gorgeous, they're white. His at
- 38:59Speaker 2: the back ones are grossing, Like, oh god, your teeth,
- 39:03Speaker 2: they need to get fucking cleaned. But no, I'm fucking
- 39:07Speaker 2: high and I'm talking about my cats. So I just
- 39:10Speaker 2: want to say my cats, they came home healthy.
- 39:14Speaker 1: Oi.
- 39:15Speaker 2: I think we should change the subject that my cats.
- 39:20Speaker 1: Yeah, sit here all day time.
- 39:22Speaker 2: I will, dude, I love those little bastards so much.
- 39:25Speaker 1: Anyways, Uh, so work seasons ending for me with like.
- 39:29Speaker 2: In a month, oh ship excited or not excited?
- 39:33Speaker 1: Yes? And no, I'm excited because yay, I don't have
- 39:37Speaker 1: to worry about being at a specific place at a specific,
- 39:40Speaker 1: specific time.
- 39:42Speaker 2: Aggie is a free soul. Uh like your times time
- 39:46Speaker 2: constraints your restriction.
- 39:49Speaker 1: But at the same time, it's because end of the
- 39:53Speaker 1: season means beginning of the winter, and winter this year
- 39:56Speaker 1: is looking to be a little busy.
- 39:58Speaker 2: So yeah, yeah, so.
- 40:01Speaker 1: I'm kind of like, you know, looking forward to it
- 40:04Speaker 1: and not but your your work season is starting oh,
- 40:09Speaker 1: in like a week.
- 40:11Speaker 2: Yeah, for those of you who do not know, I
- 40:14Speaker 2: am a cook at a school and it's awesome. I
- 40:18Speaker 2: really do enjoy it. I have a very small kitchen.
- 40:22Speaker 2: In fact, last week I got to go into my
- 40:24Speaker 2: kitchen to start opening it up. So I got really
- 40:26Speaker 2: excited as I'm in there playing my music, like unwrapping
- 40:29Speaker 2: all my equipment, and then my supply truck came in
- 40:32Speaker 2: and I had so much food I had no room
- 40:35Speaker 2: for it, so I did to take some of it
- 40:37Speaker 2: back to another school to put it in their shit.
- 40:39Speaker 2: But super excited. I'm I'm excited to get back into
- 40:44Speaker 2: the kitchen and doing stuff. I wasn't really excited to
- 40:46Speaker 2: go back to work, though, so I'm gonna see if
- 40:49Speaker 2: I can go in at some point this week just
- 40:51Speaker 2: to get set up because I start next Tuesday. And
- 40:53Speaker 2: I'm like, I kind of want to get in this
- 40:55Speaker 2: week and get my stuff prepped just in case. Make
- 40:58Speaker 2: sure like the oven work, you know, nothing's wrong with
- 41:02Speaker 2: the wells, make sure everything's working good, and like all
- 41:05Speaker 2: my foods to frosted for next week. But nah, man,
- 41:08Speaker 2: I'm I'm excited to get in there. The kids like
- 41:11Speaker 2: when I got in there I get to started. Imagine,
- 41:12Speaker 2: I'm like, oh man, I get to make those little
- 41:14Speaker 2: breakfast sandwiches six in the morning. I get to do
- 41:18Speaker 2: like badass like veggies now because my boss got me
- 41:23Speaker 2: like seven different spices I can put on food before.
- 41:27Speaker 2: There's a lot of restrictions when you're cooking for children,
- 41:30Speaker 2: even if they are teenagers and stuff like they're they're
- 41:32Speaker 2: young adults, so.
- 41:34Speaker 1: Yeah, because you don't know what they're allergic to. You
- 41:36Speaker 1: don't know what they can handle.
- 41:38Speaker 2: Right, and you have to do this nutrition thing that
- 41:41Speaker 2: New York makes you follow, so you have to have
- 41:44Speaker 2: so much of all these different special things.
- 41:46Speaker 1: Do they make you cut to a specific size too,
- 41:48Speaker 1: so they don't choke?
- 41:49Speaker 2: No, no, no, thank god, I've gotten my school.
- 41:51Speaker 1: They good now good, They're good because I thought I was.
- 41:54Speaker 1: I was hoping it was just a monkey dietary thing.
- 41:57Speaker 1: And you have to do kids as well, because they
- 42:00Speaker 1: will choke to death they their hot dogs.
- 42:02Speaker 2: I can't, you know, in my school, no, but maybe
- 42:06Speaker 2: the younger schools that's possibility. But mine is a high school.
- 42:09Speaker 2: My school is a it's a special school. It's awesome.
- 42:13Speaker 2: But I'm just really excited because I pretty much took
- 42:16Speaker 2: over the kitchen last year. The other cook had to
- 42:19Speaker 2: leave a lot of family shoes, had to like moved
- 42:21Speaker 2: away and shit. So I ended up the kitchen fell
- 42:23Speaker 2: in my lap last year like halfway through the school year.
- 42:27Speaker 2: So it was going from all right, I'm a prepic
- 42:30Speaker 2: cashier having fun to fuck on everything right now. This
- 42:34Speaker 2: kind of sucks that I have to rush every goddamn
- 42:36Speaker 2: day and I have to go to the school and
- 42:38Speaker 2: do all these numbers. What the fuck and answer all
- 42:40Speaker 2: these questions.
- 42:42Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true. It's like, well, let's be perfectly fair here.
- 42:46Speaker 1: If you didn't think you couldn't do it, you would
- 42:48Speaker 1: have pulled out a long time ago.
- 42:49Speaker 2: That's one hundred percent. You out to be like, you
- 42:51Speaker 2: know what, I don't need to do this right now.
- 42:53Speaker 2: I Am going somewhere else.
- 42:55Speaker 1: I think we're all at that point. Well, we all
- 42:58Speaker 1: know our limitations. Yeah, what we're willing to deal with,
- 43:01Speaker 1: and there's some shit not worth where willing to deal with.
- 43:04Speaker 2: It's true, but I am excited because yes, it is
- 43:07Speaker 2: officially my kitchen this year. I'm not even talking about
- 43:10Speaker 2: like the money. Yeah, there's a nice little bonus I'm
- 43:12Speaker 2: gonna get, which is cool. I'm gonna get a bump
- 43:14Speaker 2: and pay, which will be cool, but like I'm excited
- 43:16Speaker 2: to get back into it. I can cook the way
- 43:18Speaker 2: I want to, which not that like I'm regimented how
- 43:22Speaker 2: I have to cook, but I know how to cook.
- 43:24Speaker 2: I used to work in restaurants, so like, I know
- 43:27Speaker 2: the proper way of cooking and shit. Not that it's
- 43:29Speaker 2: saying that others don't, but like I don't have to
- 43:32Speaker 2: be like I'm just gonna throw this in here and
- 43:33Speaker 2: not put anything into it. Like I know how to
- 43:35Speaker 2: do flavor palettes, and I know how certain spices work
- 43:38Speaker 2: with certain meats and veggies and shit, like I've been
- 43:40Speaker 2: doing it for a while, so I'm like really excited
- 43:42Speaker 2: to be able to actually explore and after last year,
- 43:45Speaker 2: the kids actually ate other veggies and shit, that's me
- 43:48Speaker 2: hitting shit like the like I had kids coming in
- 43:52Speaker 2: and complimenting me and like, oh my god, dude, like
- 43:54Speaker 2: this corn is awesome, this shit's banging. I'm like, what
- 43:57Speaker 2: the fuck really like that's awesome? Man? Like, did nobody
- 44:00Speaker 2: ever throw spices in this shit? And I keep forgetting
- 44:02Speaker 2: to school? Probably not. Nobody probably even asked for spices
- 44:06Speaker 2: before I'm just like, no, give me every spice you got.
- 44:08Speaker 2: She's like, all right, I'll give you everything I can get.
- 44:10Speaker 1: I'm like, banks, here's a plain government ham and cheese sandwich.
- 44:14Speaker 2: No condiments, eat it dry, ketchup. But no, I am excited.
- 44:20Speaker 2: I'm really excited about that. I'm in charge. I have
- 44:22Speaker 2: a staff, which is cool, but h I'm I'm excited
- 44:28Speaker 2: to get back because I get the help, I get
- 44:30Speaker 2: the feed kids and ship and New York. I want
- 44:32Speaker 2: to do you want to say this. This is the
- 44:34Speaker 2: one good thing I'm really happy about right now. And
- 44:36Speaker 2: there's not many things I'm happy about in New York.
- 44:39Speaker 2: But what I am happy about is that every student
- 44:43Speaker 2: as of now gets free lunch in New York and
- 44:46Speaker 2: at public school, which this should not have even been
- 44:50Speaker 2: a question. There should have been something that's been done for.
- 44:53Speaker 2: There's no excuse for this. Every politician whoever took a raise,
- 44:57Speaker 2: it's your fault because you at any point, well you
- 45:00Speaker 2: know what, I don't need to take this fifteen thousand
- 45:02Speaker 2: dollars raise. Let's put that fucking money back to the
- 45:05Speaker 2: fucking kids who actually deserve it, while you guys are
- 45:06Speaker 2: just sitting on your asses and not even reading your
- 45:08Speaker 2: fucking bills. Sorry, I'm getting angry, fucking.
- 45:10Speaker 1: Shity speaking of sitting on our asses. Yeah, the real
- 45:15Speaker 1: reason you're you're excited to get back to work is
- 45:17Speaker 1: because you'll be doing literally anything but sitting around doing nothing.
- 45:21Speaker 1: Oh my god, Yes, this man will claw the walls.
- 45:25Speaker 1: Have it meant doing anything else but sitting still for
- 45:28Speaker 1: more than five minutes? And despite everyone's best efforts. Uh,
- 45:34Speaker 1: the only things that's been able to keep his attention
- 45:36Speaker 1: for any extended period of time has been video games. Yeah.
- 45:40Speaker 2: Actually, you're right.
- 45:41Speaker 1: He made the kick to Call of Duty for all
- 45:43Speaker 1: of five seconds and then got back into it.
- 45:46Speaker 2: Oh no, I lasted like a month and a half.
- 45:48Speaker 2: You didn't come on, No, you didn't.
- 45:50Speaker 1: I thought it was a month. It felt like an
- 45:52Speaker 1: alf it was like a day. Oh my god, I'm serious.
- 45:57Speaker 1: You're like, you know, I don't installed this game. I'm done,
- 46:00Speaker 1: Like cool man, I'm glad for you. Like it was
- 46:02Speaker 1: getting stupid anyways. The monetization was ridiculous the fact that
- 46:06Speaker 1: their anti cheat shit doesn't work and in fact can
- 46:09Speaker 1: be used to and weaponized against the player base. Bye cheeters,
- 46:13Speaker 1: like fucked up? You know, fuck that company, they've gone
- 46:15Speaker 1: und your hill.
- 46:16Speaker 2: You're like yeah.
- 46:17Speaker 1: Two days later, so I started playing Call of Duty Zombies.
- 46:22Speaker 2: But zombies though, that's different.
- 46:24Speaker 1: And then what did you do after that? And then
- 46:26Speaker 1: I tied around a war zone and I got third place.
- 46:32Speaker 1: And then the next day I'm just playing multiplayer and
- 46:35Speaker 1: then oh I got first.
- 46:40Speaker 2: It's true. It's not a fucking lie.
- 46:43Speaker 1: Yeah. So anyways, yeah, I have been.
- 46:46Speaker 2: I'm sorry. However, that Call of Duty is my ex
- 46:51Speaker 2: girlfriend I keep going back to, even though she's the pro.
- 46:53Speaker 1: I was like that with the World of Warcraft, but
- 46:55Speaker 1: I managed to break that happen. I'll be honest.
- 46:57Speaker 2: It's always in my face.
- 46:59Speaker 1: I say, we men to make that happen. For that,
- 47:02Speaker 1: I don't know for sure.
- 47:04Speaker 2: All you want to taste.
- 47:06Speaker 1: I realized that game Pass, which we have, has access
- 47:10Speaker 1: to Battle That, which has access to my account originally
- 47:13Speaker 1: on Battle That, but I also has access to battle
- 47:16Speaker 1: that games such as Warcraft one too and three, be
- 47:20Speaker 1: Forged and StarCraft one and two plus all the DLCs
- 47:23Speaker 1: accessible to game pass players.
- 47:26Speaker 2: I thought you were going to say World of Warcraft
- 47:28Speaker 2: was on there now too, and I was gonna say.
- 47:29Speaker 1: You mother, Considering how things are going. They just released
- 47:34Speaker 1: the new expansions that I know nothing about, and thank
- 47:36Speaker 1: god I don't. They might make that a business model.
- 47:40Speaker 1: Will you could play up to a certain expansion in
- 47:43Speaker 1: game pass?
- 47:44Speaker 2: Oh my? I mean it would be smart more, it
- 47:47Speaker 2: would be smart. It would on their end, because they're
- 47:49Speaker 2: only going to get players who aren't playing now.
- 47:51Speaker 1: The reason why I say this is because they started
- 47:53Speaker 1: off a long while ago, back in like shadow Lands whatever.
- 47:56Speaker 1: They announced Classic that was vanilla wow. So they had
- 48:00Speaker 1: a server for retail version, and then they had a
- 48:03Speaker 1: server separate for classic version. You know what they did
- 48:06Speaker 1: after that? They released Classic Burning Crusade. You know what
- 48:09Speaker 1: they did after that, Classic Wrath of the lich King.
- 48:12Speaker 1: Do you know what they're gonna do is every single
- 48:14Speaker 1: fucking expansion and then game pass is gonna be like
- 48:16Speaker 1: you can play up to Cataclysm on game Pass. That
- 48:19Speaker 1: would be smart fore or it's gonna be like you
- 48:21Speaker 1: can play off my shadow Lands on game pass plus damn,
- 48:25Speaker 1: but if you want to play the retail version, you
- 48:27Speaker 1: have to pay the retail price plus the monthly.
- 48:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 48:32Speaker 1: No, it's smarts where it's going.
- 48:34Speaker 2: It's so smart for them.
- 48:35Speaker 1: So, like I said, you don't know if it'll ever change,
- 48:37Speaker 1: because if it's Frive, it's free on game Pass, and
- 48:39Speaker 1: I'm already paying for game Pass. At least I'm not
- 48:42Speaker 1: paying an extra fifteen a month plus because I think
- 48:45Speaker 1: it's gone up, right for something I only play once
- 48:48Speaker 1: in a while because I'm too busy working most of
- 48:50Speaker 1: the time anyways, right, or no one else is playing
- 48:53Speaker 1: with me, so it's an mmo.
- 48:56Speaker 2: Yeah, you players, you play a vanilla guild or.
- 49:00Speaker 1: Some random and random people in that game are so
- 49:05Speaker 1: fucking it's like that, there's no reason to be less
- 49:09Speaker 1: of a human being just because you're playing a fantasy game.
- 49:12Speaker 2: Come on, right, fun.
- 49:14Speaker 1: But anyways, back to what I was trying to say. So,
- 49:16Speaker 1: we've been playing and said other games away from our addictions,
- 49:22Speaker 1: such as like Grounded to specifically because it just came out,
- 49:26Speaker 1: which is it's a great game.
- 49:28Speaker 2: I love the first one early access not done.
- 49:31Speaker 1: It's not done yet, so don't observe any judgment on it.
- 49:35Speaker 1: It is buggy in every sense.
- 49:36Speaker 4: Of the.
- 49:39Speaker 2: I see what you did, yeah, and the buggy and
- 49:44Speaker 2: the fact that.
- 49:45Speaker 1: It freezes him here and it gets corrupt.
- 49:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:51Speaker 1: Anyways, the other survival game we've been playing which I
- 49:55Speaker 1: been keeping my eye on for a while and also
- 49:57Speaker 1: was an early access but came out one point Oh
- 49:59Speaker 1: we recently and it's also a game pass, so allow
- 50:02Speaker 1: us to try it.
- 50:03Speaker 2: Out for a bit.
- 50:03Speaker 1: And I showed Stevie has been a game called Abiotic Factor. Yes,
- 50:07Speaker 1: now the game Abiatic Factor is. Uh, let me just
- 50:11Speaker 1: get an exact what it is. It is according to
- 50:15Speaker 1: the genre here, it is a role playing game, adventure game, simulation,
- 50:18Speaker 1: video game of shoot a game, fighter game and adventure.
- 50:21Speaker 1: So it's a role playing adventure sim shooter, fighting, adventure
- 50:27Speaker 1: game survival because it's completely his co op survival crafting game,
- 50:38Speaker 1: which is really what it is, what it breaks down to,
- 50:40Speaker 1: and it is based in like the half Life one
- 50:43Speaker 1: half Life two engine even though well not engine style
- 50:48Speaker 1: really it's unreal Engine five, believe it or not.
- 50:51Speaker 2: That's five. That's five. Wow. Well, I guess it is
- 50:55Speaker 2: easier to work with now because of the new technology
- 50:57Speaker 2: with the operating systems, so that makes sense. But it
- 50:59Speaker 2: looks like Half Life.
- 51:00Speaker 1: In fact, it shares a lot of models with Half Life,
- 51:04Speaker 1: which are well they are royalty free models. Oh they
- 51:07Speaker 1: are okay by now, yeah, okay, yeah, they belong to
- 51:11Speaker 1: the Unreal Engine or whatever some shit like they have it. Okay,
- 51:16Speaker 1: yeah they're allowed to use it. Cool, but but yeah,
- 51:19Speaker 1: it's it's basically half life, but it's co op half
- 51:22Speaker 1: life and survival co op half life. But I'm like,
- 51:24Speaker 1: this is really cool. You can there's all different skills
- 51:27Speaker 1: you can work on that you have to do to
- 51:29Speaker 1: do it. There's cooking, there's fishing, there's agriculture, but then
- 51:32Speaker 1: there's like fighting with blunt weapons, fighting with sharp weapons.
- 51:36Speaker 1: There's range, and then there's like other skills like construction, crafting.
- 51:42Speaker 2: First aid, fishing.
- 51:45Speaker 1: Yeah, it's so much crazy, and there's a whole story
- 51:48Speaker 1: that we're still getting through. We're like at the beginning still.
- 51:50Speaker 2: Yeah, we're still in like our base is still in
- 51:53Speaker 2: the beginning.
- 51:53Speaker 1: Like I think we spent like a collective twenty hours
- 51:58Speaker 1: just in the beginning area. Yeah, just like exploring it,
- 52:00Speaker 1: just collecting.
- 52:02Speaker 2: Because I'm also trying not to I'm trying not to
- 52:04Speaker 2: look anything up like anything.
- 52:07Speaker 1: It's it's it's crazy, and we're excited to see where
- 52:10Speaker 1: we go from there.
- 52:11Speaker 2: Which is something I think we're gonna be streaming after this.
- 52:14Speaker 2: Unfortunately this is coming out after that. But you can
- 52:17Speaker 2: go back for the VOD.
- 52:18Speaker 1: But do you know what actual what the actual abiotic means?
- 52:23Speaker 2: Abiotic is that like the antibiotic opposite. This isn't that
- 52:30Speaker 2: what the biopics or the because there's like so biotics
- 52:35Speaker 2: and antibiotics and that's an Abiotic.
- 52:39Speaker 1: Describes a non living, physical or chemical component of an ecosystem.
- 52:44Speaker 2: Okay, oh okay, So if you found like a mushroom
- 52:48Speaker 2: from another world or a moss or something from another world,
- 52:51Speaker 2: because it's an alien thing.
- 52:53Speaker 1: So ambiotic factors are basically interacting with each other constantly.
- 53:00Speaker 1: Temperature affects water, so well how would I expect? Okay,
- 53:06Speaker 1: so an example would be temperature affects water availability and preparation.
- 53:11Speaker 1: So when there's water, the temperature can affect how much
- 53:16Speaker 1: water there can be held.
- 53:17Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, no that makes sense.
- 53:19Speaker 1: Then actually no that doesn't.
- 53:20Speaker 2: I mean, well, okay, sorry, I probably shouldn't have cut
- 53:22Speaker 2: you off. That clicked in my head like instantly the
- 53:24Speaker 2: way you said that. I'm like, yeah, I understand that.
- 53:27Speaker 1: Yeah, trees can affect local temperature and soil composition. So
- 53:32Speaker 1: the more trees there are, the better the soil is,
- 53:37Speaker 1: and the better temperature regulated.
- 53:38Speaker 2: The soil is.
- 53:39Speaker 1: The less trees there are, the worse the soil is,
- 53:42Speaker 1: which is why crops and fields and stuff like that
- 53:45Speaker 1: that don't have any trees nearby it need to get
- 53:47Speaker 1: changed out with different crops to redo the soil trees
- 53:51Speaker 1: in the area, to revitalize the soil.
- 53:54Speaker 2: That's why you have to swap crops around every season. Yeah,
- 53:57Speaker 2: that makes sense. I always knew you had to because
- 53:58Speaker 2: it's better for the soil. I didn't know because there's
- 54:00Speaker 2: no fucking trees there because you need all that land
- 54:02Speaker 2: for your crops. It doesn't make sense. Yeah.
- 54:06Speaker 1: So, so basically abiotic factor the game itself is there
- 54:11Speaker 1: is a physical something affecting the world that we're in,
- 54:16Speaker 1: which is true. Which is true because it's because of
- 54:19Speaker 1: the way, because it's basically a multiplaner thing. Basically, the
- 54:23Speaker 1: idea is that they ripped open a portal to another world,
- 54:26Speaker 1: and that portal ripped open more portals, and now all
- 54:29Speaker 1: these worlds, instead of them all being just like interconnected
- 54:32Speaker 1: by like tubes or whatever, some of them are starting
- 54:34Speaker 1: to kind of merge together and affect each other.
- 54:38Speaker 2: It's cool, it's awesome. Shoot, yeah, yeah, we Yeah.
- 54:44Speaker 1: An abiotic factor if you will, but.
- 54:47Speaker 2: No, I am enjoying that and that's a cool descriptor. Man.
- 54:50Speaker 1: Yeah. But besides video games though, yeah, we've been also
- 54:54Speaker 1: playing D and D. Now with our campaign, Curse Astrade,
- 54:57Speaker 1: or as we call it, the Worst distrad Uh as
- 55:01Speaker 1: these chuckle fucks decide to fuck everything up he ever
- 55:04Speaker 1: loved or ever enjoyed. They just murdered his entire entourage
- 55:09Speaker 1: of witches and hags, his entire coven. They just fucking
- 55:16Speaker 1: I don't know they started it. They did start it. No, No,
- 55:20Speaker 1: they were doing their own thing, and you guys put
- 55:22Speaker 1: an edg to that.
- 55:23Speaker 2: We started it.
- 55:25Speaker 1: And ended it and then yeah, fucking ended it, and
- 55:29Speaker 1: he's he's not too happy about that. But that's my
- 55:33Speaker 1: campaign going on there and we'll talk more about that
- 55:36Speaker 1: at some other time. You are actually starting up another
- 55:40Speaker 1: campaign along with Pixie, with another buddy of ours, Chicago taed. Yeah.
- 55:45Speaker 2: I have no idea what this is even about.
- 55:47Speaker 1: It's all I know is it's a fifth edition. And
- 55:50Speaker 1: you guys have no fucking idea what you need to
- 55:52Speaker 1: do to make a fifth edition.
- 55:54Speaker 2: Character, like, seriously, don't at all, because.
- 55:57Speaker 1: Which I have offered to help, but neither of you
- 56:01Speaker 1: have come to before.
- 56:02Speaker 2: We've also been all really busy. I haven't even responded
- 56:06Speaker 2: in the chat group yet. Once I was invited to
- 56:08Speaker 2: this thing, I'm just like, I'm so busy, and I
- 56:11Speaker 2: was invited to it, but I knew I wouldn't have
- 56:12Speaker 2: time for it. I got to at some point put
- 56:15Speaker 2: something together. I'll probably have to do that, like tonight,
- 56:18Speaker 2: Like at some point tonight or tomorrow. Just get in
- 56:20Speaker 2: there and get it. This is that I can help
- 56:21Speaker 2: you fly through. I'll just make up.
- 56:23Speaker 1: Originally we're going to have Fixie joy us, but unfortunately
- 56:26Speaker 1: she couldn't. And that's fine. A bullyer about it. Later, Yeah,
- 56:31Speaker 1: she's my sister. I can do that, yeah yeah later
- 56:34Speaker 1: yeah yeah, Well I'll forget about it. Think about it.
- 56:37Speaker 2: We're supposed to tell you something we can't remember.
- 56:40Speaker 1: Yeah, but I originally I was going to help you
- 56:43Speaker 1: make your characters here by just asking a few simple questions.
- 56:47Speaker 1: But maybe we'll get started. We don't have to write
- 56:49Speaker 1: anything down, but I'll ask you a couple of questions
- 56:51Speaker 1: that maybe gave you an idea maybe what you want
- 56:53Speaker 1: to do.
- 56:53Speaker 2: Okay, So I like this, Okay, typically fifth edition, fifth edition,
- 56:58Speaker 2: now just for clarification, I am of the previous editions.
- 57:03Speaker 2: I am a player of three to three point five.
- 57:06Speaker 2: That's my big one. I grew up playing second edition
- 57:09Speaker 2: Faco all that shit, don't remember any of it, but
- 57:12Speaker 2: I I like I can storytell three point five. I
- 57:16Speaker 2: know a lot of that. But now fifth editions are similar,
- 57:19Speaker 2: but there's a lot of differences which I'm starting. It's
- 57:22Speaker 2: starting to grow on me, but I'll go ahead, can you.
- 57:24Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 57:25Speaker 1: So, typically what I do when I'm making my character
- 57:27Speaker 1: for fifth Edition, I go through this thought process to
- 57:31Speaker 1: kind of figure out what I want to do or
- 57:33Speaker 1: the role I want to fulfill in my whatever campaign
- 57:37Speaker 1: I'm playing in. And I don't play very many I
- 57:39Speaker 1: usually DM most of them. But my thought process is
- 57:44Speaker 1: if I don't this is assuming you don't know what
- 57:47Speaker 1: the other people are playing, or if there wasn't already
- 57:49Speaker 1: a conversation being made, like, Hey, I'm going to make
- 57:51Speaker 1: a cleric, you guys, I'll be the healer. You guys
- 57:54Speaker 1: can make whatever you want kind of thing. So as
- 57:58Speaker 1: a standalone, as someone walking in into like eventually exciting,
- 58:02Speaker 1: you want to think, what role do you want to
- 58:05Speaker 1: fulfill the start? Do you want to be a front
- 58:08Speaker 1: line fighter or a backline fighter. Do you want to
- 58:12Speaker 1: be a support or do you want to be a
- 58:17Speaker 1: social monkey? Do you want to tank or do you
- 58:22Speaker 1: wanna evade? Because there is a difference between tanking and
- 58:29Speaker 1: doing like deck saves.
- 58:30Speaker 2: And ship right. Mmm, it's difficult. I definitely do not
- 58:38Speaker 2: want to be a social monkey. I think I'm gonna
- 58:43Speaker 2: play a doufe, so my lowest is probably gonna be intelligence,
- 58:45Speaker 2: which means I shouldn't be a spellcaster of the sorcerer
- 58:50Speaker 2: type at least. Yeah, I still have wisdom, just not intelligence.
- 58:54Speaker 1: There are also bear in mind though, if you do
- 59:00Speaker 1: decide to go in an intelligence and still want to
- 59:02Speaker 1: be like a fighter. There are also subclasses a wizard.
- 59:06Speaker 1: There's the Blade Dancer. Yes, yeah, there's there's a there's
- 59:12Speaker 1: a fifth edition version. I don't think. Oh it's like
- 59:14Speaker 1: war Wizard or something like that. I can't remember the
- 59:16Speaker 1: exact name of it, but it basically acts like a
- 59:18Speaker 1: Blade Dancer and any race can be it. So you
- 59:21Speaker 1: could be a melee wizard if you want it to be,
- 59:23Speaker 1: but I would highly suggest if you're gonna be a
- 59:25Speaker 1: melee wizard, be a hex blade warlock.
- 59:29Speaker 2: Break the game if you're gonna play the game.
- 59:30Speaker 1: If you're gonna do Melee Wizard, do Warlock, because at
- 59:34Speaker 1: least then you'll be able to take a few hits
- 59:37Speaker 1: before you get taken out.
- 59:38Speaker 2: And you got that, uh, Eldridge blast is a can
- 59:41Speaker 2: and Eldrich blast is just to d or some ship
- 59:44Speaker 2: D twelve D twelve What the is a can? Trip
- 59:47Speaker 2: A D twelve is a freaking can to start, that's as.
- 59:50Speaker 1: Yeah, more than one bolt eventually and it turns into
- 59:54Speaker 1: a two D twelve.
- 59:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 59:55Speaker 1: And if you take uh agonizing blast or whatever it's called,
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: you're in one of your invocations. You add your charisma
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: modifier to it. And if you have a plus four
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: charisma modifier.
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: That's a two D twelve plus four starting at pur
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: bolt starting at six minimum damage six oh pur bolts.
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: If you have two starting as it's oh my god,
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: I think I want you.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: Yeah anyway, oh my god. So you don't want to
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: be a social monkey, No, no, don't want to be
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: I don't.
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: Want to be a tell caster. I wanting to have
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: to think?
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: I don't want to have to think. You want to
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: just be able to run in So there's plenty that
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: you can do so if you don't, if you don't
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: want to think just in terms of already cutting out
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: the spell casters, we're going to cut out artificer, wizard,
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: sorcerer right right, We'll also cut out Druid, Ranger and
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: UH thief or rogue or whatever the fuck. The reason
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: why is because Druid does require a little bit of
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: knowing what the class does, especially if you want to
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: be like I just want to shape shift and be bear.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: You can do that, but there's a little bit of
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: nuance to it.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: I'm not a Druid player.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: I tried it once, especially since you have to keep
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: track of both your regular health and your shape shifter,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: your health and how and the carryover when you take
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: overhealth damage and ship like that. So the rogue, I
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: would say no, because the again, rogues are good, but
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: you have to remember that UH sneak attack damage and
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: flanking and all that shit matters. You have to remember
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: that the TM a gonna.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: Remember and the Ranger.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: The Ranger, as simple as it is because it's basically
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: just melee, just basically just a range shoot or even
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: go into melee if you wanted to, it does require
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: knowing what you want to do like you'd be like, oh, yeah,
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: my quarry are giants, but if you never fight giants,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: then you're kind of nerved. You nerve yourself at the beginning,
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: and then like, yeah, they have cool abilities, but a
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: fighter could do it better.
- 1:02:11Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the shitty part. I wish they stranger. They
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: try to. It's a little bit better than it was.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: Some people still swear by it, but it's just not great.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: So I would either say Barbarian fighter or Monk or
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: maybe Barred because you have experience playing Barred already.
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: M I've never done Monk in fifth edition, so that's easy.
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: No weapons, no weapons.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: All you have to do is worry about key. And
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: key is basically just like your charges for your abilities,
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: and it's all just just punch them. Everything else is
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: basically passive, Like you just get passive abilities where you're
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: immune to disease and poison. Your ac naturally goes up
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: when you're not wearing armor. You can fucking do multiple kicks,
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: multiple blows. You can literally stun lock a motherfucker to death.
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: I think I'm gonna play a monk. I never played one.
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: I think that would be a fun one to do. Yeah,
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: it would be kind of cool.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: One of the first classes I played back in like
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: three point five, and it was you don't have to
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: worry about armor. It was, honestly, even back then, super simple.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: And you can still use weapons if you wanted to be.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: There is a there is a sub type of monk
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: that actually can use weapons and can charge attacks to them.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: That's insane because you can use a bow staff technically.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: Oh yeah, they used to throwing darts, that's the thing. Yeah,
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: they're only like a D two, right, I think they're
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: a D FOURID Yeah, I think they.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: Just Oh that's cool, bitch. I can take out like
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: a rat.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean you could in real life on a
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: dart if you hit right.
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: Ye oh yeah, Oh my god. That's gonna be part
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: of my backstory. I was trained as a monk two
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: hundred rats.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: Killer.
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: Yes, I am known as the rat killer monk. I
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: go from village to village, monastery to monastery, killing rats
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: and making pies.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: Master spinters, my bitch.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: Yes, he's my ultimate goal.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: Leads the Shredder. Oh my god, oh my, oh, there
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: you go. There's your character. Well, there's Stevie's character for
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: D n D Shredder. With only one goal in mine,
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: kill all rat Kin, specifically one by the name a
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: Master Splinter.
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: I'm writing this, I'm sure the DM is gonna have
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: a blast this year. Like no, just no, just fucking
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: you name your NPCs. It's fine. The turtles are just
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: that's their last name, mis Turtle. So there's like four
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: brothers and the.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: Last thing you can ever do is give it a DM.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: Anything to work with the fucking dangle over you sometime
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: down the line, because they can make a lot of it,
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: can make it a lot of fun.
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll give this tip out too for anybody who's
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: creating characters. I never even really did this. I mean
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: I did it for the games that lasted like forever,
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: like our homebrew the sets are an Andrea game, like
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: any of the ones that lasted a bit. Whenever you
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: go to create a character, like go through the questions
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: like when Butter did He gave us a bunch of
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: questions to ask yourself as your character, like where were
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: you born? Like simple things like what's your history with
