- 0:00Speaker 1: Good morning, good morning, good morning. Welcome, welcome, welcome. It's
- 0:02Speaker 1: a bright sunshiny Thursday.
- 0:04Speaker 2: That means the cars sparkling like the daylights out there
- 0:08Speaker 2: at Dungeons Toyota and we have Brad Dungeons and studie.
- 0:11Speaker 3: How you doing there, Bread, I'm doing great. It's like
- 0:14Speaker 3: you said, it's a beautiful morning. Yet that's a great
- 0:16Speaker 3: spring spring going on recently, and a little bit of
- 0:20Speaker 3: rain last week and more coming hopefully, yes, please rain,
- 0:25Speaker 3: bring it on.
- 0:26Speaker 1: No, no storms. We haven't had to do the hail
- 0:28Speaker 1: dance yet this year.
- 0:29Speaker 4: It's going to put my jeep top on though.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a chance the next week or so. Have
- 0:36Speaker 1: you done the hail dance yet? She hasn't been there
- 0:38Speaker 1: for it.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Oh well, the customers, if you haven't driven by the
- 0:42Speaker 3: dealership during inclement weather, we do try to. We everybody
- 0:50Speaker 3: that we say hail dance and we all everybody runs out,
- 0:53Speaker 3: gets the keys, moves all the cars that we can
- 0:56Speaker 3: underneath something, move them in the showroom, move them under
- 0:59Speaker 3: the pads and of us and just want to protect
- 1:03Speaker 3: those new cars for me, Yeah, and help. It helps
- 1:07Speaker 3: a little bit on insurance rates.
- 1:09Speaker 1: It does.
- 1:10Speaker 2: It also ensures You're going to get a top quality
- 1:12Speaker 2: car without a scratcher.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Dent, no doubt. Now, we still need more inventory. We've
- 1:19Speaker 3: been growing faster than we can. You know, then really
- 1:24Speaker 3: anticipated up one hundred and eighty four percent in March
- 1:28Speaker 3: over last year. That's incredible growth, and used cars continue
- 1:34Speaker 3: to outpace the new cars. We are seeing great demand
- 1:37Speaker 3: for used cars in today's market. I know, with a
- 1:40Speaker 3: lot of uncertainty going on in the world and stuff,
- 1:44Speaker 3: some people are choosing to save some money and get
- 1:47Speaker 3: a great value on a used car. You know, with Toyotas,
- 1:50Speaker 3: it's not always that simple. With the great resale value
- 1:53Speaker 3: of a new Toyota. You know, if it's ten years
- 1:56Speaker 3: old and as one hundred thousand miles or something, that
- 1:59Speaker 3: you obviously are going to get it for less than
- 2:00Speaker 3: a new one. But some of these these used ones
- 2:04Speaker 3: just a year or two old, are almost as much
- 2:06Speaker 3: as new. We had a trail Hunter Tacoma that we
- 2:11Speaker 3: had sold a while back and then got it back
- 2:15Speaker 3: and sold it again and were just about twelve hundred
- 2:18Speaker 3: miles on it. That sold it this week, and it
- 2:21Speaker 3: was just a few thousand dollars under what it was new.
- 2:24Speaker 3: And you know, they just don't depreciate that fast at all,
- 2:28Speaker 3: you know, And with our market based pricing and simple
- 2:31Speaker 3: price concept, with our non commissioned sales team, and as
- 2:36Speaker 3: we announced last week on the show, we've eliminated all
- 2:40Speaker 3: dock fees we do, you know, state state fees, the
- 2:43Speaker 3: lean fee, the taxes you paid to the state.
- 2:46Speaker 1: These obviously we can't eliminate those.
- 2:48Speaker 3: But the doc fee, there is a dealer really contrived thing.
- 2:54Speaker 3: And now there are costs to doing the documentation process
- 2:58Speaker 3: on car deals, but ours was really really low compared
- 3:05Speaker 3: to other dealers already, and you.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Know there's.
- 3:12Speaker 3: And you know, I've got you know, some dealers are
- 3:14Speaker 3: as high and we're just around us as a seven
- 3:17Speaker 3: or eight hundred dollars just for the documentation fee. And
- 3:23Speaker 3: we thought, well, you know, in keeping with our simple
- 3:25Speaker 3: price concept, why don't we just get rid of that.
- 3:29Speaker 1: I mean, it's not like it amounts to all that much.
- 3:32Speaker 3: To us, And really we get you know, we constantly
- 3:37Speaker 3: hear from customers that have been out shopping about the
- 3:41Speaker 3: frustration with the lack of transparency they experience at other dealers,
- 3:47Speaker 3: and whether it's the doc fee, the the other things
- 3:52Speaker 3: they add to cars that are, you know, like protection packages.
- 3:56Speaker 1: There's all kinds of things they come up with.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Some of it, you know, is valuable if you want
- 4:02Speaker 3: ten on your car, but it doesn't you give you
- 4:04Speaker 3: the choice to add ten or not and to get
- 4:08Speaker 3: the best deal you have for it. It's built into
- 4:10Speaker 3: a package preloaded on the car with maybe a cup
- 4:13Speaker 3: holder protector and door jam protectors and you know, these
- 4:18Speaker 3: things that you may or may not want, and they
- 4:21Speaker 3: put them on every vehicle and then they charge what
- 4:24Speaker 3: seems to me like an exorbitant price for those, and
- 4:28Speaker 3: you know they this is we do try to keep
- 4:31Speaker 3: it simple. I did a study or in the last
- 4:35Speaker 3: few weeks as we were making this decision of the
- 4:38Speaker 3: disclaimers on various websites all the Toyota dealers in the
- 4:41Speaker 3: state and the local dealers here in Bartlesville. And it's
- 4:45Speaker 3: amazing how long some of their disclaimers are and.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Simple. It's about three sentences.
- 4:53Speaker 3: It does say what we need to say legally about
- 4:57Speaker 3: you know, vehicles that are in transit and come and
- 5:00Speaker 3: what can happen with those, but it's it's we try
- 5:04Speaker 3: to keep everything simple, straightforward. You can go on our
- 5:07Speaker 3: website and price a vehicle. That's the same price you're
- 5:12Speaker 3: going to get when you come into the store. It
- 5:14Speaker 3: doesn't change. You don't have to qualify for it. There
- 5:18Speaker 3: are some rebates and things that come from the manufacturer
- 5:22Speaker 3: that might be apply in certain situations, but we don't
- 5:25Speaker 3: load those into the price before we can determine if
- 5:28Speaker 3: you qualify, things like a college grad rebate or whatever
- 5:33Speaker 3: else it might be. You know, those things are one offs,
- 5:36Speaker 3: and you know.
- 5:36Speaker 4: So, you know, I think it can be overwhelming for
- 5:41Speaker 4: a consumer. And I'm in a market that you know,
- 5:45Speaker 4: I'm a millennial, and I was talking abroad about this
- 5:48Speaker 4: the other day, Like there's certain things that are like, well,
- 5:51Speaker 4: what does that mean or what does that mean? And
- 5:53Speaker 4: like we have the team to actually educate the consumer
- 5:59Speaker 4: and the customer that is interested if they actually however
- 6:04Speaker 4: they approach it, whether it's through auto trader or direct
- 6:08Speaker 4: website or just walking in the store, like, we have
- 6:12Speaker 4: the team that can actually make those decisions and advise
- 6:17Speaker 4: them on the process.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Yeah, it's different.
- 6:20Speaker 3: It is to help people with the process of buying
- 6:23Speaker 3: a car, versus pressuring them into buying the car based
- 6:27Speaker 3: on your pay plan.
- 6:28Speaker 1: And that's why we do the non commissioned sales.
- 6:31Speaker 3: It doesn't put any pressure on our team to make
- 6:35Speaker 3: more money or not. We price them based on the market.
- 6:38Speaker 3: We need to get a fair price for the cars
- 6:39Speaker 3: we sell. We can't just sell them for nothing. And
- 6:44Speaker 3: you know, and everything has a value, right, so we
- 6:47Speaker 3: try to determine what that is. We do a lot
- 6:50Speaker 3: of analysis on pricing. I do that sometimes myself. I
- 6:54Speaker 3: go in at least a couple times a week. The
- 6:57Speaker 3: sales managers do it virtually daily, and we're in there
- 7:01Speaker 3: always fine tune in the pricing, making it, you know,
- 7:05Speaker 3: fair and looking at what other deals are priced at
- 7:09Speaker 3: in the market. What use cars, you know, we have
- 7:13Speaker 3: such great tools now that tell us what are cars worth,
- 7:16Speaker 3: what it will sell for a retail and so we
- 7:20Speaker 3: use that to price our.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Cars, and you really, you know, try to keep it simple.
- 7:24Speaker 3: So you know, if you come in and you expect
- 7:27Speaker 3: us to be able to discount something five or six
- 7:30Speaker 3: thousand dollars or something, that's just not how our vehicles
- 7:33Speaker 3: are priced up front their price to sell that at
- 7:36Speaker 3: the price that we put them at. We know that
- 7:40Speaker 3: you have a choice and where you purchase your vehicle,
- 7:43Speaker 3: and that a lot of times it's going to be
- 7:45Speaker 3: based on on price, but also it's going to be
- 7:48Speaker 3: based on that experience. And if it's going to take
- 7:50Speaker 3: a wrestling match to get to the best price and
- 7:53Speaker 3: a lot of arguments and pressure and wasting your time,
- 7:57Speaker 3: we just don't think it's worth it.
- 7:58Speaker 1: We don't want to you through that.
- 8:00Speaker 3: We want to respect you and help you get to
- 8:05Speaker 3: make the best deal because we want to sell you
- 8:06Speaker 3: that next car and your your children, your friends, your family.
- 8:10Speaker 1: That's our whole approach is.
- 8:12Speaker 3: You know, we don't have a big budget for advertising,
- 8:16Speaker 3: and you know, truthfully Linn mentioned auto trainer and stuff,
- 8:20Speaker 3: we don't even put our cars up there anymore. You know,
- 8:24Speaker 3: I've always thought the third party websites were a little
- 8:26Speaker 3: bit odd because they paid We paid them to have
- 8:33Speaker 3: our cars on there, and they were all kind of
- 8:37Speaker 3: commodities there.
- 8:38Speaker 1: I mean, there's some value in it. I do look at.
- 8:40Speaker 3: Them and I'd use their their pricing to help me
- 8:43Speaker 3: price my car. But the truth is most of our
- 8:48Speaker 3: customers come to us directly. They do, and they don't
- 8:51Speaker 3: you know, they're previous customers or friends and family of
- 8:55Speaker 3: previous customers, and you know, they may see a car
- 8:58Speaker 3: out there. I know they're going to up and look
- 9:00Speaker 3: at these sites because because they're there, they have thousands
- 9:03Speaker 3: of cars within a few hundred miles.
- 9:06Speaker 4: I do think that that's why we have a sales
- 9:08Speaker 4: team of like I mean, everybody works differently. Like we've
- 9:13Speaker 4: got one girl that's working Facebook marketplace. We've got another
- 9:17Speaker 4: one that's tracking leads on third parties and everything like that.
- 9:22Speaker 4: And I mean I had an uncle that just showed
- 9:26Speaker 4: up on the lot a couple of weeks ago and
- 9:30Speaker 4: he was like, Hello, I want to buy a car.
- 9:33Speaker 4: And I was like, oh my gosh, I was so surprised.
- 9:37Speaker 4: So I just it is a little bit it's world.
- 9:42Speaker 5: Yeah, I think that small dealership, single family owns one dealership.
- 9:48Speaker 5: We're not we don't have you know, locations all over
- 9:52Speaker 5: the country or whatever.
- 9:54Speaker 1: And you know, in a business that's consolidated.
- 9:57Speaker 3: Dramatically and a lot of small family do ships are gone.
- 10:00Speaker 1: I mean when I came to.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Bartlesville and in two thousand, every dealership was owned by
- 10:05Speaker 3: a local guide that operated it and it was pretty
- 10:08Speaker 3: much the only story had And.
- 10:10Speaker 1: In your case, it was owned by local relatives. Yes, yes,
- 10:14Speaker 1: it was very local.
- 10:15Speaker 3: Yeah, and you know, so here we are twenty six
- 10:19Speaker 3: years later, and we're virtually only one with true local ownership,
- 10:24Speaker 3: and you know that, you know, we're proud of that.
- 10:27Speaker 3: We want we're here, we want to take care of
- 10:29Speaker 3: our customers. We want to be in Bartlesville. We choose
- 10:32Speaker 3: to be here and and support local organizations and and
- 10:38Speaker 3: you know, we we.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Love our product.
- 10:40Speaker 3: To Toyota, I think is the you know, the best
- 10:42Speaker 3: for full line automotive manufacturer going. They make the very
- 10:46Speaker 3: best product. They really build cars for people. They they didn't,
- 10:51Speaker 3: you know, when a lot of manufacturers were kind of
- 10:54Speaker 3: chasing the mart you know, the the tax things that
- 10:57Speaker 3: were going on with electric vehicles, Toyota didn't didn't really
- 11:02Speaker 3: play that game. They stayed true to their plan, which
- 11:05Speaker 3: was to build hybrids and the plug in hybrids that
- 11:10Speaker 3: they made, and now we're starting to come out with
- 11:12Speaker 3: battery electric vehicles because you know, we think the market
- 11:16Speaker 3: is going to be there, but it's not going to
- 11:18Speaker 3: be some artificial market created by tax credits and being
- 11:23Speaker 3: forced to sell those by the government. They're going to
- 11:26Speaker 3: be because people want the cars, right and because they
- 11:30Speaker 3: make sense in people's lives. And you know that we
- 11:33Speaker 3: have a great product now and the BZ fully electric vehicle,
- 11:39Speaker 3: I don't. I know, a lot of people around here
- 11:42Speaker 3: are very skeptical of that kind of product.
- 11:44Speaker 1: But there's also a lot of people driving driving.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Teslas and and you know, so there's this transition happening
- 11:52Speaker 3: in power trains. And the BEZ is incredible machine. I mean,
- 11:57Speaker 3: not only does it drive really well, super comfortable, has
- 12:03Speaker 3: about a three hundred mile range on a single charge.
- 12:05Speaker 3: You can put for a few hundred dollars, put a
- 12:08Speaker 3: level two charger in your house, pretty much keeps it
- 12:12Speaker 3: charged all the time. You never have to buy gas.
- 12:15Speaker 3: It has thousands fewer parts. Okay, here's the thing that
- 12:19Speaker 3: people don't think about a lot is the internal combustion
- 12:22Speaker 3: engine and all the stuff.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Going on in there. You know, this is the electric
- 12:27Speaker 1: vehicle is quite a bit simpler.
- 12:29Speaker 3: There's a lot of fewer things that can happen and
- 12:32Speaker 3: break on a vehicle like this.
- 12:35Speaker 1: So I think they're going to be highly reliable.
- 12:38Speaker 3: They're going to have they have a lot of speed
- 12:40Speaker 3: and torque, comfort the things people like to have in
- 12:44Speaker 3: a car.
- 12:44Speaker 1: And you're quiet and they're quiet, and you.
- 12:47Speaker 3: Know, I mean, if you want to get in your car,
- 12:50Speaker 3: and drive across country. It may not be the right
- 12:53Speaker 3: thing right now, right but if you're you know, most
- 12:56Speaker 3: people that you know around here have have a car
- 12:59Speaker 3: that can use for that, and this might be just
- 13:01Speaker 3: the local commuter vehicle, great for running to Tulsa and
- 13:05Speaker 3: pack driving around Bartsville, of course, you know, and you know,
- 13:10Speaker 3: so we've got that.
- 13:11Speaker 1: We're later soon we'll have the all new CHR that's.
- 13:15Speaker 3: Coming out with We're going to have a fully electric
- 13:18Speaker 3: Highlander and a fully electric land Cruiser before too long.
- 13:23Speaker 3: And land Cruiser is going to be super cool. We
- 13:26Speaker 3: got a glimpse of that. Yeah, the current land Cruiser,
- 13:33Speaker 3: I just got out of myce Aqualia and it sold
- 13:36Speaker 3: really fast, but I wanted to try the land Cruiser.
- 13:40Speaker 3: I tell you, I love it. It's so it's such
- 13:42Speaker 3: a nice vehicle. It's a great size. I didn't I
- 13:46Speaker 3: don't need the third row as much as I did
- 13:48Speaker 3: back in the in the soccer chasing the soccer ball. Yeah,
- 13:54Speaker 3: and so it's it's great for our lifestyle. It's a
- 13:57Speaker 3: little bit smaller, but super comfortable as all the technology
- 14:00Speaker 3: you can want, lots of safety stuff. It's really fun
- 14:04Speaker 3: to drive, and I really like it.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Really well.
- 14:08Speaker 3: But the electric one and when it comes out, is
- 14:11Speaker 3: going to be very different. It's got to have a
- 14:13Speaker 3: different body on it. It'll be a little bit more
- 14:16Speaker 3: of a rounded look. The Lancers is kind of a
- 14:20Speaker 3: square suv. I mean, you know, people know what I talked.
- 14:23Speaker 3: We were talking about and great, it's great looking vehicle,
- 14:27Speaker 3: but they'll be different rated than by styling a lot.
- 14:30Speaker 3: And I think that both of them are going to
- 14:33Speaker 3: be really popular over time. And and we're trying to
- 14:36Speaker 3: grow our inventory of those, so in the toyota world,
- 14:39Speaker 3: that really means we've got to keep selling them. We've
- 14:41Speaker 3: got I think twenty two toyotas on the ground right now.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Not all of them are through the.
- 14:47Speaker 3: Processing out front yet, but we have trouble keeping all
- 14:51Speaker 3: the spots filled because they are selling so fast. But
- 14:54Speaker 3: we've got a great selection of tacomas. I think we
- 14:57Speaker 3: have four tundras, We've got some Highland and Grand Highlanders
- 15:01Speaker 3: and more of those coming. Those have been super popular.
- 15:05Speaker 3: RAB four continues to be largely pre sold before it
- 15:09Speaker 3: gets here.
- 15:10Speaker 1: We've got four of them on the way.
- 15:13Speaker 3: Two of those are pre sold, but I think there
- 15:15Speaker 3: are still one or two that are available.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Uh, some of those will be here later in May.
- 15:22Speaker 3: We've got everything else, Camry, Corolla, Prius, you know the
- 15:28Speaker 3: four Runner. I don't want to forget about four Runner.
- 15:31Speaker 3: It's been a super popular in our market as well,
- 15:34Speaker 3: one of our best selling toyotas. And so we've got
- 15:37Speaker 3: that full lineup of of SUV's cars, trucks, the Tacoma
- 15:42Speaker 3: and Tundra course pick great pickups. And then you know
- 15:46Speaker 3: the other great cars I noticed were coming and should
- 15:50Speaker 3: be here this month.
- 15:51Speaker 1: We've got a Qualia Capstone, which is the top of
- 15:56Speaker 1: the line.
- 15:56Speaker 3: It's a Qualia, a trim level that we haven't had
- 15:59Speaker 3: very many Capstone, so this would be a really great
- 16:03Speaker 3: option for somebody looking for that perfect Suv. And then
- 16:07Speaker 3: a Tundra seventeen ninety four edition, which, other than Capstone,
- 16:12Speaker 3: is kind of a It's also got a lot of
- 16:15Speaker 3: the same technology and options as the Capstone, but it's
- 16:19Speaker 3: a little bit more of a Western themed vehicle, so
- 16:23Speaker 3: it's got the seventeen ninety four is actually the name
- 16:27Speaker 3: of the ranch where they built the Tundra plant down
- 16:31Speaker 3: by San Antonio, so it was an old heritage ranch
- 16:37Speaker 3: like the Barnard Ranch in ose h County or something,
- 16:40Speaker 3: and it was called seventeen ninety four because that's when
- 16:42Speaker 3: it was founded.
- 16:43Speaker 1: It's a very old property and Toyota builds all their
- 16:48Speaker 1: tundras there.
- 16:49Speaker 3: Squalia is also in some of the tacomas, so it's
- 16:53Speaker 3: a big truck plant.
- 16:54Speaker 1: I've been there. It's a super cool manufacturing.
- 16:58Speaker 3: Facility build right here, right here in the USA, right
- 17:03Speaker 3: in Texas.
- 17:03Speaker 4: And we definitely have a full lineup of trucks on
- 17:07Speaker 4: the lot. And if you're local and drive past or
- 17:11Speaker 4: come in and see us. I mean, if we don't
- 17:14Speaker 4: have it on the lot, we can definitely find it
- 17:16Speaker 4: for you. As Brad mentioned, there's a lot of things
- 17:19Speaker 4: in the pipeline, so just want to encourage you guys.
- 17:23Speaker 4: If you're in the market for a new vehicle, then
- 17:27Speaker 4: you know where we can figure it out and get
- 17:30Speaker 4: you at the best cost and transparent pricing, no dock fee,
- 17:36Speaker 4: no other and really just quick service.
- 17:43Speaker 3: Yeah that's you know, save time and money. I've always
- 17:46Speaker 3: thought that was kind of the what people wanted in
- 17:49Speaker 3: the purchase of the car. Before we came to the
- 17:52Speaker 3: show today, I did have a chance to stop in
- 17:55Speaker 3: and talk to Angelo's, our service director.
- 17:58Speaker 1: She did she's good.
- 17:59Speaker 3: She's we've been we've been very busy in service parts
- 18:04Speaker 3: in the body shop. Of a lot going on there always,
- 18:07Speaker 3: but she's got some specials going I wanted to mention
- 18:11Speaker 3: this time of year is but Toyota has a promotion
- 18:15Speaker 3: for people with Toyotas. You can buy three tires and
- 18:18Speaker 3: get the fourth for a dollar, and that is a.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Great deal on tires.
- 18:22Speaker 3: And if you do that, you get an alignment special
- 18:26Speaker 3: for just one hundred and nineteen ninety five with the
- 18:29Speaker 3: purchase of four tires. So that's a way to save
- 18:32Speaker 3: a lot of money. If you're looking for tires, you
- 18:34Speaker 3: can take fifteen dollars off of oil change and tire rotation.
- 18:38Speaker 3: And then we've got for a you know, if you're
- 18:42Speaker 3: not sure what you need or we've got different kinds
- 18:44Speaker 3: of repairs required, we've got the Sliding Spring Special where
- 18:49Speaker 3: you save more depending on how much you spend. So
- 18:53Speaker 3: you get twelve dollars off if you spend between fifty
- 18:56Speaker 3: and ninety nine dollars, twenty two off if you spend
- 19:00Speaker 3: spend between one hundred and one hundred and ninety nine
- 19:03Speaker 3: thirty two at two hundred to two ninety nine forty
- 19:06Speaker 3: two off at from three hundred to three ninety nine
- 19:10Speaker 3: and fifty dollars off with the purchase of over four
- 19:13Speaker 3: hundred dollars.
- 19:14Speaker 1: And it's a great deal and people that love that
- 19:17Speaker 1: one because it especially.
- 19:18Speaker 3: If you need repairs or have some more a different
- 19:22Speaker 3: kind of maintenance than that typical just you know, for
- 19:24Speaker 3: things most toyotas really only need, which is an all
- 19:28Speaker 3: change and a tire rotation, maybe a battery check and put.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Some more filled in, put you more wiper fill it in.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Other stuff going on.
- 19:38Speaker 3: I want to give a shout out to Janet Odin
- 19:41Speaker 3: and the Bartlesville Art Association.
- 19:42Speaker 1: They're getting ready for the Art Walk the Ville.
- 19:45Speaker 3: It's coming back on April seventeenth. We were sponsoring that
- 19:50Speaker 3: and really happy to help them with such a great event.
- 19:53Speaker 3: This is a they take over all of downtown Bartlesville.
- 19:56Speaker 3: They've got a bunch of other organizations, True the Eatery,
- 20:01Speaker 3: Marigold's Bookstore, the Itio Building, Honeys Flowers, Titon Trading Clock,
- 20:07Speaker 3: Boulevard Color Company, Lollipops, Theater Bartlesville, American Heritage Beef Hopestone,
- 20:14Speaker 3: Cancer McGraw, Reeltors, Moxie. On second nd the Bartlesville Civic
- 20:17Speaker 3: Ballet and Cooper and Mill all doing stuff during this.
- 20:21Speaker 4: So there's from art going on all through there there.
- 20:26Speaker 3: It's there's stuff for kids, it's there's drawings, prizes. So
- 20:33Speaker 3: you definitely if you're out on that Friday evening you
- 20:36Speaker 3: want to come come downtown and again April seventeen, six
- 20:41Speaker 3: to nine, and that will be.
- 20:44Speaker 1: A big time. Lots of fun and really happy to
- 20:48Speaker 1: help with that. You got downtown covery, don't they they do? Yeah? Wow.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Bar Association is a great.
- 20:54Speaker 3: Organization, been around for so long and Janet's been on
- 20:58Speaker 3: the show before.
- 20:59Speaker 1: It build this history and you know they they do.
- 21:03Speaker 3: You know, art is such a great as important thing
- 21:06Speaker 3: in our lives and it's often you know, you think
- 21:09Speaker 3: of it as a kid thing, but the truth is,
- 21:11Speaker 3: I mean people, I mean, you play, your musicians, you
- 21:14Speaker 3: like to do things.
- 21:16Speaker 1: You know, have your moment and you know, I've been.
- 21:19Speaker 3: A writer in my life and you know everybody has
- 21:23Speaker 3: their thing and you kind of as you get older,
- 21:26Speaker 3: you know can't just work.
- 21:27Speaker 1: And you know toll Away all the time you got
- 21:30Speaker 1: could who could. But people who do.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Are often not as happy as maybe those who find
- 21:37Speaker 3: another outlet and whether you know, sometimes it's it's art,
- 21:41Speaker 3: sometimes it's you know, hunting and fishing or or just
- 21:45Speaker 3: you know.
- 21:46Speaker 4: And when I spoke with Janet Brad she had mentioned like, yes,
- 21:51Speaker 4: like the moral of the whole event is to go
- 21:56Speaker 4: and just view it, but there are opportunities for them
- 21:59Speaker 4: to purch certain art or have I think it's going
- 22:03Speaker 4: to be artists all throughout.
- 22:07Speaker 3: This at every spot, there's gonna be artists doing their stuff,
- 22:11Speaker 3: whether they're showing their work or actually doing the art live.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Uh, that'll be cool.
- 22:16Speaker 3: So it's gonna be a full full, you know, lots
- 22:19Speaker 3: of things going on, so check check that out. It
- 22:22Speaker 3: is the third annual Art Walk, so that's that's coming up.
- 22:28Speaker 3: There's so much as springtime, so there's more lots of
- 22:32Speaker 3: things coming. I know the Dungeons Toyota Indians are having
- 22:38Speaker 3: their tryouts soon.
- 22:39Speaker 1: I'm not sure the dates on that, but very soon.
- 22:43Speaker 3: And have a new manager who's coming in and looking
- 22:48Speaker 3: forward to having him on the radio show We've got.
- 22:52Speaker 3: You know, this is a heritage thing at the dealership
- 22:56Speaker 3: where we've been recognized by the Guinness Records as the
- 23:00Speaker 3: longest corporate sponsor of a sports team in the world
- 23:03Speaker 3: for sponsoring American Legion in baseball here in Bartlesville, and
- 23:06Speaker 3: this is this baseball team and it's uh.
- 23:10Speaker 1: We're really proud to continue that.
- 23:12Speaker 3: And we think it's kind of an example of God
- 23:17Speaker 3: of how we operate, what we how we want to
- 23:20Speaker 3: support the community. And and you know in a lot
- 23:23Speaker 3: of ways, especially the youth in our community and may
- 23:26Speaker 3: give them opportunities, help them.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Learn those skills and things that help them.
- 23:32Speaker 3: We're going to help them through their whole life whatever
- 23:34Speaker 3: it is they're doing, whether it's sports or art or
- 23:39Speaker 3: f A and four.
- 23:40Speaker 1: H and the livestock show.
- 23:41Speaker 3: Uh, you know, there's there's so many opportunities in Bartlesville
- 23:45Speaker 3: is so rich and organizations that connect you with that
- 23:49Speaker 3: and those things that you want to want to have
- 23:53Speaker 3: available for your your kids. That's been a really had
- 23:58Speaker 3: a real impact on on our children. Anyway, that's good,
- 24:04Speaker 3: good stuff going on. So again, the Bartlesville Art Association
- 24:07Speaker 3: Artwalk is April seventeenth, sixty nine downtown. If you go
- 24:12Speaker 3: downtown that Friday night, you cannot miss it, I'm sure.
- 24:17Speaker 3: And so last thing I've got is a couple of
- 24:23Speaker 3: other specials. I mentioned the Great Toyota inventory we have going,
- 24:27Speaker 3: and you know there's a to really get the lowest
- 24:30Speaker 3: payment I think on a Toyota in particular, because I
- 24:34Speaker 3: mentioned how great their resale value is, they just don't
- 24:37Speaker 3: depreciate very much. So in our market, we don't lease
- 24:42Speaker 3: all that many cars, but it's something.
- 24:44Speaker 1: People should consider.
- 24:46Speaker 3: It's you know, the leases are dramatically lower often than
- 24:51Speaker 3: the retail payment.
- 24:52Speaker 1: No matter how long you extend the loan.
- 24:54Speaker 3: And we see people now taking their loan out seventy
- 24:57Speaker 3: two or eighty four months, which is an option, but
- 25:02Speaker 3: then you're keeping that that you're committed to that car
- 25:05Speaker 3: five or six years, and a lot of times.
- 25:07Speaker 1: People want to trade more often than that.
- 25:10Speaker 3: And you know your base warranty is only going to
- 25:14Speaker 3: last three years of thirty six thousand miles in most cases,
- 25:18Speaker 3: or have lots of strings attached to it. If it
- 25:20Speaker 3: goes beyond that, you know, sometimes the powertrain and different
- 25:24Speaker 3: things like to add a hybrid system the last ten years.
- 25:28Speaker 3: But the but a payment on like a Tacoma I
- 25:33Speaker 3: mentioned on a leasing of Tacoma. You can get an
- 25:40Speaker 3: SR five Tacoma the regionally special, So you got to
- 25:43Speaker 3: get the right vehicle for this, but it's just two
- 25:46Speaker 3: ninety nine a month with three thousand, nine ninety nine
- 25:51Speaker 3: do it signing, So and I've got I've done an
- 25:55Speaker 3: analysis of Tacoma and Tundra and some other vehicle that
- 26:01Speaker 3: are available at the dealership where they can show you
- 26:04Speaker 3: how much you can save over the term of the
- 26:07Speaker 3: loan and the initial upfront. And if you think about
- 26:11Speaker 3: the value of your money and what you can do
- 26:13Speaker 3: with it, if you don't have it invested in a
- 26:15Speaker 3: car that's going to depreciate.
- 26:16Speaker 1: And lose value.
- 26:18Speaker 3: Even in our volatile days, the stock market eventually does
- 26:22Speaker 3: go back up, and it does. You know, if you
- 26:24Speaker 3: invest it and let that money sit there over time,
- 26:27Speaker 3: it's going to be worth more rather than less.
- 26:30Speaker 1: And you know so if you're gonna and.
- 26:33Speaker 3: The lease also allows you to trade in two or
- 26:36Speaker 3: three years, so you without having any inequity, having that
- 26:39Speaker 3: option to get into.
- 26:41Speaker 1: A new vehicle.
- 26:42Speaker 3: If it does have equity, you can capture that and
- 26:45Speaker 3: use it in your next purchase. So a lot of
- 26:47Speaker 3: times we see car and Toyota's coming off lease that
- 26:50Speaker 3: are actually worth more than what Toyota anticipated, So you
- 26:54Speaker 3: can capture that by selling the car hopefully, but then
- 27:00Speaker 3: we'll you know, we have a great used car, you
- 27:03Speaker 3: can take that and use it as your upfront costs
- 27:05Speaker 3: for on your next vehicle. So it's a great, great
- 27:10Speaker 3: deal and our team can help you understand that. And
- 27:14Speaker 3: we do have great interest rates too. If you want
- 27:16Speaker 3: to do a traditional purchase zero percent on the bz
- 27:19Speaker 3: I mentioned, we've got rates like two.
- 27:22Speaker 1: Point nine four point nine no doc feed. So come
- 27:28Speaker 1: on out to Dune.
- 27:29Speaker 3: Just another thing before we One last thing is we
- 27:32Speaker 3: are looking to buy cars again. As every week and
- 27:36Speaker 3: been buying more and more. It's really hard to keep
- 27:39Speaker 3: the used car inventory up to where we would like it.
- 27:42Speaker 3: We'd like to grow it, but that's doesn't seem to
- 27:45Speaker 3: be in the cards right now. They keep selling so fast.
- 27:48Speaker 3: But so if you're looking to sell a car, you
- 27:51Speaker 3: have an extra vehicle, or even if you're trading it
- 27:54Speaker 3: somewhere else, give us a shot at the vehicle. We'll
- 27:57Speaker 3: give you top dollar for your trade or purchase unit,
- 28:00Speaker 3: and you don't have to buy from us for us
- 28:02Speaker 3: to do that.
- 28:02Speaker 1: We'll be happy to just purchase your vehicle.
- 28:06Speaker 3: We have a tool online where you can get a
- 28:08Speaker 3: Kelly Bluebook offer just by answering a few questions, and
- 28:13Speaker 3: we'll confirm that often we can give you a lot.
- 28:16Speaker 1: More money than that when we're buying it. So very good. Yeah, hell,
- 28:21Speaker 1: everybody we can find you.
- 28:23Speaker 3: Of course, we're out on Highway seventy five on Washington
- 28:26Speaker 3: Boulevard in nineteen eleven southeast Washington Boulevard or online at
- 28:30Speaker 3: Dungeustoyota dot com.
- 28:32Speaker 2: Very good, Thanks for coming in. Of course, we're happy
- 28:36Speaker 2: to be here. See you next Thursday. I remember, no doc,
- 28:39Speaker 2: no doc right, keeping it simple, folks. You've been watching
- 28:43Speaker 2: and listening to car Talk.
