- 1:40And as if the feelings of sadness and pain weren't bad, enough with the
- 1:49Cowboys loss to Green Bay on Sunday. I don't know if you guys noticed
- 1:55my post on Instagram over the weekend, but I have another scorpion problem inside
- 2:01my house. I mentioned how we found a scorpion a couple of weeks ago,
- 2:07and that scorpion and I went Mono emano and I won because I somehow
- 2:14got him into a cup, and I set the cup outside and never thought
- 2:17about it again, and I think Tara disposed of it nicely this time.
- 2:23However, I go to my bedroom and I look at my my my pjs,
- 2:31I got my the T shirt, I sleep in, the shorts I
- 2:35sleep in or hanging on the headboard, and Tara calls me upstairs to the
- 2:40bedroom, Dan Dan Dan Camary, Like okay, So I go upstairs and
- 2:43she's just pointing, and she points at my sleep shorts. And on my
- 2:46sleep shorts is a scorpion, A little pale yellowish brown just does beady eyes,
- 2:55the pinchers, the tail, the tail. The tail is what terrifies
- 3:00me because I don't want to be stung, because I also know the little
- 3:04brown ones are the ones that hurt the worst. So here's what I did.
- 3:07And this is where I need you guys's input. Okay, So I
- 3:13got two cups to scoop the scorpion in, all right. I got a
- 3:16big Fuzzies cup on the bottom with a smaller bar cup on top. And
- 3:21so the plan was to swoop down on the scorpion that is attached to my
- 3:25shorts on the headboard and then seal it with the smaller cup inside the larger
- 3:30cup. Right, And it worked. It's beautiful, and one swooping motion,
- 3:37I get the bug into the cup. The cup seals on top.
- 3:40Now I've got a nice contained scorpion. So I take it outside, go,
- 3:45you know, about one hundred yards away so it doesn't roam back into
- 3:47the house. Let it roam into somebody else's house. And I remove the
- 3:52top cup and I go to fling the scorpion out of the cup into the
- 3:58forest. Right. Except when I went to the flinging motion of the Fuzzies
- 4:03cup, instead of the scorpions shooting out into the forest, it instead hit
- 4:09the air and fluttered to the ground. Oh. And that's when I got
- 4:15out my phone and googled do scorpions shed? And Google said yes. And
- 4:23that's when I said, oh, yeah, inserted expletive here. So not
- 4:30only do I still have a scorpion problem, but apparently I have a naked
- 4:34scorpion problem as well. May I ask, what is your aversion to killing
- 4:46the fuckers? In my defense, this one was no longer a scorpion.
- 4:54It was just the skin, but you didn't know that until you threw it
- 4:57out. This is true because I think they eat other things that I don't
- 5:03want. I think they do. Yeah, they're not like spiders. Okay,
- 5:10look at it this way. I'm not averse to killing them, Trey.
- 5:14It's just that I'm afraid that if I do it in the traditional sense
- 5:17that I'll still get stung. So I'm trying to find any method I can
- 5:20to dispose of the scorpion without getting myself stung. So if you took a
- 5:25big shoe and smash the piss out of it, do you think you're going
- 5:31to get stung? And let me ask this how I don't want to pick
- 5:36up the bug guts because I think that thing's going to shoot stuff all over
- 5:41the place and probably get in my eye. And that's it's that's how it
- 5:44gets me in the end. That's how it turns update no, those scorpion
- 5:55facials for Dan, well, they do say it it's good to find your
- 6:01niche. I didn't know the scorpions had a bang bus. The uh yeah.
- 6:13I try to answer your question. I would love to burn down the
- 6:15house. As soon as I saw the first scorpion. My thought was like
- 6:19most people, all right, got to burn the place down. Unfortunately I
- 6:24don't own this house, and my Colombian landlord, Kiko, would not let
- 6:29me burn down his house in order to rid us of the scorpion problem.
- 6:31Yeah, I think the the My question is you'd rather be homeless burn down
- 6:46your house. So you see the scorpion and you go, you know what,
- 6:48we live on the streets. Now, that's what we get. I
- 6:53got a house in I got a house on Saint Thomas. I can go
- 6:55to the house on Saint Thomas, kick out one of our tenants and just
- 6:58say scorpions out. What if like the band no uh uh uh am again?
- 7:06So instead of killing it, you're like, we're homeless now. My
- 7:10theory is you're first scorpion. That's that's this one now. So you when
- 7:15you put him in the cup and you took him outside and you thought you'd
- 7:17gotten him because you went mano and mano. I think what you did was
- 7:20she just made him angry and he went off and he started working out,
- 7:25and he was working out and he was working out and he got bigger and
- 7:28then he just brought his his She had to shed his skin, and then
- 7:30he brought it and as it and as I let you know, hey Ben,
- 7:33I'm still here. He put it on your shorts and was like,
- 7:36yeah, bo, you think you think you killed me last time. I'm
- 7:40bigger and I'm better. You're gonna get more stuff on your face that is
- 7:44terrifying or or or he's like a stalker and you know you rejected him and
- 7:48now he's just he wants you more. Yeah, so you know he's he's
- 7:53worked out and he's shed his skin and now he's gonna be buffer and yeah
- 7:57pretty or for you, Yeah, bigger, a bigger stinger. I really
- 8:01don't like where this is going, especially when you factor in sort of a
- 8:09cape fear aspect to it. It's gonna, it's gonna it's gonna be your
- 8:13your bbs, your big brown scorpion Trey. I don't have a good answer
- 8:22for you as far as uh why I don't just smash it. The first
- 8:28one that I saw, I couldn't get an angle because it was in the
- 8:31utility closet and there was stuff in the way and I and I was wearing
- 8:35I was wearing flip flops and I'm not about to step on the thing and
- 8:37it reaches the tail up and still stabs me in the toe. But there
- 8:41there was no good way to get it smashing it at that point. This
- 8:46one, uh, I was just gonna do what I would typically do with
- 8:50a spider, which is capture it and rehome it down the street, right,
- 8:56thinking maybe it has some use that will keep other things I don't want
- 9:00and you know, around, even though I've taken it down the street.
- 9:03So I don't have a good answer for you why I don't just start squashing
- 9:05the damn things. Also, you have found it, also, I have
- 9:09not found it as much as you know, as funny it is to say,
- 9:13oh, you just burned on a house. That's not a reality.
- 9:15Again, my Colombian landlord will not let me do that. I've asked,
- 9:20But ultimately I don't know. I don't know why I don't just squish the
- 9:28thing unless somewhere I'm worried that it's going to spark some type of scorpion uprising,
- 9:33and next thing you know, it's just me surrounded by a bunch of
- 9:37pissed off scorpions. And that's that's what's gonna happen, because your wife is
- 9:41gonna just go you know what, Dan, I'm not sleeping with scorpions,
- 9:46have fun, and so you're gonna wake up. Oh you're gonna be spooning
- 9:50with a scorpion. No, I've seen those videos, but it's not a
- 9:56scorpions. I think you're in those. Uh yeah, I just uh,
- 10:03I think that it would just be an easier resolution to your problems if you
- 10:07just went and just stepped on it and be done. Can can she handle
- 10:13the the gut stuff? If it's dead? Can she handle that? Because
- 10:16you can, you can handle the killing. Maybe you guys should like scorpion
- 10:20busters. I don't know what. I don't know what you guys would be
- 10:22like, you kill them and then she cleans it up. It's sort of
- 10:26like fishing. Yeah, I see what you mean. It's like you go
- 10:28catch them and then you take them home and then you know, the wife
- 10:30cleans them and cooks them. Yeah. So yeah, that should be a
- 10:35shirt. But uh, could can she handle the the the cleanup? I
- 10:43don't know, Yeah, because then you can find Yeah, I just need
- 10:46I just need to man up and squash the thing. Yeah, and but
- 10:50have her clean it up, and then you can see if it actually does
- 10:52sting you after it's dead. I'm just not sure how. I'm not sure
- 10:58how she would react if she if she says, if she calls me into
- 11:00the room because there's a scorpion, I take off my flip flop, reach
- 11:03back and smash it, and then I turn and walk away and then flip
- 11:09the flip flop over my shoulder Action Star style and then say, you clean
- 11:13up the mess. I'll see her. I just heard her chuckle from the
- 11:16out the room. I don't think that's gonna fly. Try try try doing
- 11:20that and go make me a sandwich. Try. I'd rather I'd rather wake
- 11:26up surrounded by scorpions. You're in the Treehouse. Visit us online at treehouseonair
- 11:41dot com. Let's get Jacqueline from Brooks Plumbing into the tree House now,
- 11:50because I know that she's not busy doing anything else right now. The number
- 11:54four Brooks Plumbing for any and all of you are plumbing ones in need?
- 11:56Is of course two one, four, three, six, eight thirty eight
- 12:00eight I say that, of course, I'm kidding because it's very cold.
- 12:03It has been cold, and is this in the plumbing business, Jaqueline,
- 12:07what would be referred to as you know, like plumbing season or a frozen
- 12:11pipe season. It's plumbing season. So because we didn't have a lot any
- 12:16that I'm aware of rolling blackouts in Texas, there have been significantly less freeze
- 12:20breaks on water lines. But shockingly, what I'm seeing now is frozen sewer
- 12:28stoppages or frozen pea traps. So water or let's just go with the stoppage
- 12:35like so, a stoppage will get stuck somewhere in a pipe in a second
- 12:39story of a home and it froze, and that homeowner is trying to drip
- 12:43their faucets in that upstairs bathroom, but the sewer drain is just slowly but
- 12:48surely filling with water. And then we've been seeing it leaking from up to
- 12:52down. So it's raining kind of clean, kind of dirt, dirty water
- 12:58inside their houses. And that's a matter of breaking it up with the sewer
- 13:03machine and attempting to push it through. I've seen two of those this year,
- 13:07and I'm like, wow, that's interesting. But I want to talk
- 13:09about just for two seconds ingenuity. I went to Walmart on Friday looking for
- 13:15hose bib covers, couldn't find any, bought a pair of women's muckluck socks.
- 13:20Sorry that's the baby beagle barking, and wrapped my hose bibs in the
- 13:24muckluck socks, and then wrapped the muckluck socks in grocery bags. And I
- 13:28was like, yeah, that'll do. And my old nineteen seventies farmhouse is
- 13:31doing just fine. So you just be ingenious and think outside of the boxes.
- 13:37The key to survival. That is a great one, the muckluck socks.
- 13:41I like that. There was one. I've also seen people do the
- 13:43when they couldn't find the regular hose bib covers. Is I've heard waaburger cups
- 13:48can also do wonders. You can do that, but you have to surround
- 13:54it. So if you get the waterburger cup, shove newspaper or shove like
- 14:00think like shavings, like would sawdust? Almost gotcha? Okay, I'm busy,
- 14:05Yes you are. She's not too busy for you to give Brooks Plumbing
- 14:09a call right now for any of those plumbing once and needs, especially if
- 14:13you have a second floor that is raining ones and twos, two one fourth,
- 14:16three six, eight thirty eight thirty eight, two one four, three,
- 14:18six, eight thirty eight thirty eight or Brooks Plumbing Texas dot com.

- 15:43Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration eight three three Cook dfwor cookdfw dot com. I
- 15:54did a quick sweep of the house. No scorpions that I can see,
- 15:56but sleeping the last couple of days has been interesting because like every little like
- 16:02slight twinge or tickle, like I feel like whether it's on my foot or
- 16:07like in my hair, I felt like, I think, is that one?
- 16:11Is that? Is that a scorpion? Is that the one that shed
- 16:14its skin and left it on my shorts? Yes, yeah, yeah,
- 16:17that's exactly what it is. Thanks. Yeah, it's a really diabolical scorpion
- 16:25that that shed and then he made his way into your house put it on
- 16:27your It's very very like the scorpion mafia. Like he just left you a
- 16:32little like hey, here we go, and then he left and it's like
- 16:34he'll never be able to sleep right again. I also I think they also
- 16:37they naturally they shed when they have babies. Yeah, I've heard that too.
- 16:45You're not You're not helping my sleep problems because as it is, we
- 16:48already we already check under the sheets, you know, just just because where
- 16:52we live. Yeah, on Saint John. We're up on Bordeaux Mountain,
- 16:57and we learned recently that the elevation where we live is called the moist forest,
- 17:07and that apparently is is popular among all sorts of critters, and that
- 17:12includes you know, scorpions, but you know, anything else. So we
- 17:17will check under the sheets, under the under the covers for anything that might
- 17:22be lying in wait. That forest has got to be like ninety mail though.
- 17:30I'm glad you said it because I was thinking it because it's because it's
- 17:36moist the that's that's that just sounds like so that a white person named it.
- 17:48That that's what we were told, we live in the moist forest.
- 17:56That be part of your mailing that dress, that would be amazing. Number
- 18:02one moist forest Lane, moist Forest. I come from the moist forest.
- 18:15I just walk out looking like swamp thing. Yeah, I was just looking
- 18:22it up and you check onder the sheets. That's great, but they're known
- 18:25and their babies are known to grow under the other side of the pillow,
- 18:27the cool side. We check that too. We also check on we check
- 18:30under the sheet, we check under the blanket, we check under the pillows.
- 18:34I will check under the bed. The thing is, though, because
- 18:38of all the different critters that we have seen, I'm now at the point
- 18:42where that I'm even looking for camel spiders, just because at this point I
- 18:52think anything is possible. We've heard over the years being on the radio service
- 18:55members coming back from Afghanistan or Iraq, and we've seen photos of the camel
- 19:00spiders and how freaky those are. They look like the face huggers and alien.
- 19:06So I'm really at this point I don't know what's going to come out
- 19:08of the moist forest. It will be a camel spider. I mean,
- 19:11it's the name camel moist. They don't go together, they don't. That's
- 19:17a scorpion. Oh ot, you know, that's match made in heaven.
- 19:23You know. I don't feel good, but there is something that will make
- 19:26me feel at least slightly better. What is that? Dan? That would
- 19:30be birthdays that segue really stunned. Oh no, yeah, I went there.
- 19:42That was good. That's so. Yeah, apparently there's a lot of
- 19:45brain decay at the moist forest level. All right, Today is Fred Day,
- 19:52January nineteenth, twenty twenty four. Birthdays today, let's celebrate and say
- 19:57happy birthday to Olympic gold medalist and Dancing with the Stars champion season eight that
- 20:04is Sean Johnson. She is thirty two today. She actually won season eight
- 20:08of Dancing with the Stars when she was seventeen, which, after being an
- 20:14Olympic gold medalist, probably seem pretty damn easy. Why you talk. Not
- 20:18a whole lot of pressure packed, you know situations on Dancing with the Stars,
- 20:22at least in comparison to you know, gymnastics. We've also got Stephanie
- 20:30from full House and Fuller House. Jody Sweeten, she turns forty two today.
- 20:36Wow, didn't she have like a meth thing? Didn't she have a
- 20:41She's like, like like many Hollywood child stars, she's had She's had some,
- 20:47you know, some struggles. Okay, but specifically it was meth.
- 20:52I don't remember. Yeah, I don't want to get sued, but maybe
- 20:57maybe meth. Yeah, she would if it was meth. I will say
- 21:04she's one of the few people. She's one of the few people that came
- 21:07out of a meth problem looking better than when she went in. Okay,
- 21:15yeah, uh, she she retained her teeth or got new ones. I
- 21:19have no idea. Okay, she maintained a heartbeat, so you know that
- 21:25she gives her an edge, asked Dana Plato. Oh yeah, I drop
- 21:33on Dana Plato right on her grave. All right. De Drea de Mateo
- 21:37from Amazon's Paradise City. Most of us remember her as Adriana on The Sopranos.
- 21:44She was also on Sons of Anarchy. She is fifty two today.
- 21:48Sean Wayans, brother of Damon too many Williams's sorry, it's Damon Wayne's son,
- 21:56right or nephew. No, Well, Sean is is That's what it
- 22:03is. Are the brothers. Okay, got it? So Sean Wayans,
- 22:08he's fifty three today. He was in White Chicks, Little Man, and
- 22:12Scary Movie. I believe it was Scary movie that had one of the more
- 22:15memorable death scenes. That was one where he goes into the bathroom uh and
- 22:22uh sticks his ear up to the glory hole, and and and the greener
- 22:26shirts through his brain talk about a memorable death. Well, that's that's the
- 22:33one I definitely remember. Other birthdays today Marcy Playground singer John Wozniak is fifty
- 22:41three today. Also Paul mccrane. You don't You probably don't know him by
- 22:47his name, but you'll know him by his face. He's sixty three today.
- 22:51He was doctor Romano on er he's on with the red hair and bald
- 22:56I guess side red hair and bald on top. But I I'm not sure,
- 23:00Raj, if you saw this movie or not. But I know Trey
- 23:03and I have. We know him best as the guy that RoboCop melted.
- 23:10Did not see it. He was one of the bad guys. He was
- 23:14one of the henchmen that killed Murphy in RoboCop. And then when RoboCop started
- 23:19to become more sentient and realizing that, oh I was, I was a
- 23:22person once and he goes back and eliminates the entire gang that murdered him.
- 23:30Birthday boy was the one that was the one that RoboCop melted. Was he
- 23:37on twenty four as well? Was he in the season of twenty four?
- 23:41He might have been, He might have been. He was also He was
- 23:45also in the classic nineteen eighty film Fame. Yes, yes, he wasn't
- 23:52twenty four. He wasn't twenty four. I know he's he always plays like
- 23:56on Er. He was like the super arrogant. He was the one that
- 24:00everybody hated. And then he I think he lost his arm. I think
- 24:03in one of the episodes. Oh, you're right, I see it here
- 24:06he was Jack Bauer's brother Gream on twenty four. That's right. Yeah,
- 24:11So Paul mccrane died in Er. Like the way he was killed made it
- 24:14seem like he was in a contract dispute with the producers and they decided,
- 24:18not only are we not giving you that raise, we're gonna kill you dead,
- 24:21dead dead, And they went to the writers and said kill him dead.
- 24:25And so he was killed off in Er by a helicopter that crashed on
- 24:30top of him. Yes, yeah, that's uh, that's when you've pissed
- 24:34off the writers. It's like what's her name on Gray's Anatomy, the the
- 24:40pretty the girl who was in Knocked Up. Yeah, I can't remember her
- 24:45name, but she she did an interview where she was talking about the writers,
- 24:48and so they're like, oh, okay, We're gonna give you a
- 24:49brain to her that makes you have sex with the ghost enjoy, and then
- 24:56they killed her off. That was it was a believable scene. We're gonna
- 25:04Paul mcgrade's IMDb. The thing that really stands out on that that really it's
- 25:08a forgotten blunder of TV history. Cop Rock. Oh oh, Stephen Bochko,
- 25:15No, what was cop Rock? Was it a musical? Remember,
- 25:19I believe correctly, Trey check this on the IMDb. As you're looking at
- 25:23it. I want to say this came out. It was either eighty nine
- 25:29or ninety. I'm gonna go ninety. I'm gonna go the Fall of ninety.
- 25:33It was cop Rock. So it was it was sort of like,
- 25:37so you know Law and Order, right, the first part of the show
- 25:40is the detectives, and the second that's the law, and the second half
- 25:44is the order where they're all in court and the cases decided. That's what
- 25:48cop Rock was before Law and Order existed. They had the police and they
- 25:52had the courts. But they sang it was a musical. No, this
- 26:00is what happens when Hollywood gives too much power to one person. Stephen Botchko,
- 26:06I forgot what else he had done he was so successful, might have
- 26:11been Hill Story Blues. He was so successful that that Hollywood said, yes,
- 26:15you can do cop Rock. Yeah, maybe he was ahead of his
- 26:19time. Maybe it could have aired after Glee. You know sometimes sometimes what
- 26:30do they say, not only in real estate, but maybe in Hollywood location
- 26:33location location. Maybe it's like if it was ABC or whatever it was that
- 26:37was uh that had cop Rock, it was just the wrong channel. If
- 26:41they had it on like the Disney Channel after you know, the High School
- 26:45Musical, or on Fox after Glee, Like ro just had a shot Glee
- 26:49cop Rock the voice like it would have been beautiful, Like it would have
- 26:52been just a marriage of horribleness. Uh cop Rock. You know That's that's
- 27:00again what makes me laugh about Hollywood is he wanted to do a meeting with
- 27:03executives that were sitting around the table and then what do you got there,
- 27:06Stephen? I'm sure they just called him botch? What do you got botch?
- 27:07And he's like, all right, cops that sing and they went take
- 27:12a bagload of money, get out of here. That's why that's why you're
- 27:15doing I am I am with you. I don't understand how it is some
- 27:18things ever get greenlit in Hollywood unless it is some sort of coked out fever
- 27:23dream. So here are here are some of the Stephen Botchko successes right before
- 27:33Cop Rock. Are you ready? You have Hill Street Blues eighty one to
- 27:37eighty seven, La Law eighty six to ninety four, So he was still
- 27:41in the height of La Law when Cop Rock hit the air. He also
- 27:47had one year of Doogie Howser MD under his belt because that started the year
- 27:52before Cop Rock, so he was on a good run. They were like,
- 27:59yeah, you want to do a cop musical TV show. Here's like
- 28:03you said, ros, here's your here's you a bag of money to do
- 28:06it. Get out of here. But what's next? Uh less unless the
- 28:11studio person or the network whatever it was, had a beef with him and
- 28:18said no you, and for whatever reason, Boko comes like I got a
- 28:22new idea, and instead of saying no, he just like, go for
- 28:26it. No one, No one remembers the studio executive that greenlit Cop Rock.
- 28:33But I mean I remember that it was a Botchko baby. Yeah,
- 28:37I'm gonna have my own show. It's gonna be it's gonna be uh singing
- 28:41doctors, and it's gonna be it's it's yeah, it's gonna it's. It's
- 28:44called singer. But at the end the e r is capitalized. Oh you're
- 28:48not ready for it? Oh I get it? Singing in the er uh
- 28:52huh. Yeah, that's right, because that's exactly what you would want in
- 28:55a medical emergency song and and and patients busting out into song. I wish
- 29:02I was a dead man, What killed you? Scorpions in my bed?
- 29:15That would be fantastic. Sing you or singer, That's what it's gonna be.
- 29:18It's good. I can only I feel like they've already sent the money.
- 29:22I'm just waiting for it to arrive at my doorstop. I'll let you
- 29:25guys know. I kind of think though that maybe that's what ABC did with
- 29:29their show Good Doctor, with you know, the special needs doctor. The
- 29:33I guess he's just playing an autistic doctor. It's like, did they try
- 29:37to get away with spelling it doctor with an er as well? Or and
- 29:41they were corrected? Ah, that would have been good too. You're onto
- 29:47something we should collaborate on more show ideas. Hey, we can't do any
- 29:52worse than cop Rock. I'm not sure. I wouldn't speak so fast.

- 30:15Time out to talk to Carrie Cook from Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration. I
- 30:21guess I wore out my welcome with Daniel and he's now seeking you on me.
- 30:23Carrie, What did I do to deserve you think? Did anything?
- 30:29Well? I don't know, man, It guess it depends you might have
- 30:30done something. Let's start with this. The number to call you at COOKDFW
- 30:37Roofing and Restoration is, of course eight three three Cook DFW. Get that
- 30:40free roof inspection, especially after all the cold weather we had. Those cold
- 30:44temperatures can do some numbers on the roof. You want to have it checked
- 30:48out to see if it's in good shape or not. You give Carrie and
- 30:51Daniel a call eight three three Cook DFW. They'll come out and check it
- 30:53for you for free. Outside of that, I'm curious. The big news
- 30:57in Dallas this week is, of course, Mike McCarthy is keeping his job
- 31:03as head coach of the Cowboys. And I know you and Daniel are big
- 31:06Cowboys fans just like we are. So box feelings. I'm okay with it.
- 31:11I don't think that he should be fired. Interesting And why is that?
- 31:15Well, I mean killing Moore called plays for how long? And he
- 31:17got to keep his job for how long? Mmm? Okay, you know.
- 31:21I mean, if you're gonna fire because the play call is going to
- 31:22be bys, I think you need to revisit your players. It's it's not
- 31:26so much the coaching, it's the execution on the player's side. It wasn't
- 31:30really pretty the other night. It definitely there. You were at the game.
- 31:34Yes, well did you boo? We left? Wow? You didn't
- 31:40even waste time booing. You just said, screw it, we're out.
- 31:42It was it was just it was embarrassing. I was actually hoping, I
- 31:45said this on the Football podcast. I was actually hoping. I wish that
- 31:48all the fans had been so angry they booed so and would have booed so
- 31:53loudly it would have made an actual hole in the roof as opposed to a
- 31:59planned one. And then that way you and Daniel could have slipped Jerry a
- 32:02couple of business cards. There you go, Right, come on, Jerry,
- 32:06we'll give you that free roof inspection. There you go. I like
- 32:09it, so they will come take care of your roof while they wait on
- 32:14Jerry to call for for their free roof inspection. You can get yours right
- 32:16now at COOKDFW Roofing and Restoration eight three to three COOKDFW or that website cookdfw

- 33:00Two on fourth, three six, eight thirty eight thirty eight four Brooks
- 33:04Plumbing or the website Brooks Plumbing Texas dot com. I took a quick look.
- 33:08We were talking about cop Rock creator Stephen Botchko, and there was a
- 33:14couple of other shows that were also misses. Even he even though he's had
- 33:17some obvious successes with Hillstory Blues La Law NYPD Blue Doogie Howser. There was
- 33:23another show called Raising the Bar that only lasted one year two thousand and eight
- 33:31to two thousand and nine. Based on the photo and the title Raising the
- 33:36Bar, I'm guessing it was a legal drama, although based on our mashup
- 33:40history, I'm guessing it could have been lawyers doing ballet, which I mean
- 33:47if for the guy that had, you know, cops singing in the streets,
- 33:52then why why would legal ballet be you know, a stretch? Just
- 34:00realized the pun there. But there was another show on here that I remember
- 34:06watching that did not last very long, And when I give you the title
- 34:09and the premise of it, you're going to understand why, because it's another
- 34:12great example of why did Hollywood think this was going to work? That is
- 34:17the show that came and went in two thousand and five called Blind Justice,
- 34:25And I remember watching this show. I don't know why, but this was
- 34:30a NYPD detective who gets injured in the line of duty and is blinded,
- 34:37but he returns to work with his disability to still solve crimes, despite his
- 34:43fellow detectives being wary of working with him because he may not see the bad
- 34:46guys coming. That's not me saying that. That was the blurb on Google
- 34:54and it actually what's that tray? Blind Justice is what it was called Blind
- 35:00Justice, and I remember the I like the actor who starred in and maybe
- 35:02that's why I watched it. His name is Ron Elderd and he was in
- 35:07He's been in a number of things. I don't know if you guys have
- 35:08seen Deep Impact as many times as I have. He played one of the
- 35:12astronauts and Deep Impact. He was also in Super eight Blackhawk Down. He
- 35:15was also in Sleepers back in ninety six. But looking at the other cast
- 35:21members of Blind Justice won Frank Grillo, who went on to some Marvel success
- 35:25as Captain America's nemesis. Oh okay, yeah, and he also had a
- 35:31turn as the Punisher. Oh who didn't. So they made Blind Justice and
- 35:40it failed, and they still put out Ben affleckt as Daredevil. See again
- 35:46ahead of its time? What year was this? Blind Justice was two thousand
- 35:52and five? Oh so a year ahead of its time? Now, because
- 36:00I don't think personally Ben Affleck is Daredevil not my favorite. I thought that
- 36:05actually came out in two thousand and three, So that that actually came out
- 36:07before Blind just so they saw it and they still did it stupid. Yeah,
- 36:13well they were trying. They were probably trying to capitalize on it,
- 36:16right, and so they're like, hey, they made a movie, why
- 36:19don't we make a serious I got into a discussion with the Hollywood execs about
- 36:22this. I'm like, how do you guys come up with? What is
- 36:23it? Like? You have n CIS and then you'll have whatever the other
- 36:28one was the they're ones, Oh yeah, the other ones, and they're
- 36:31like c n CIS Louise, New Orleans. Yeah, but then like they
- 36:36had CSI and then they had something else. And I asked in Chase if
- 36:40they go to city to city Yeah, yeah, And then I asked I
- 36:43was like I was asking one of the execs at CBS. I was like,
- 36:45hey, so how does it work? They go, we watched like
- 36:47if there's some groundbreaking new thing like Brianca Chopra and Quantico. Right, They're
- 36:52like, well, let's see if it works. And then if that works,
- 36:54the next year, they flew in all these actors from India. We're
- 36:58in Hollywood because they were trying to read Every network was trying to recreate it
- 37:01because of how well it did. So that's how it goes. So if
- 37:05they saw this, you know, they saw Daredevil and it was like,
- 37:07oh my god, it made so much money. Okay, let's put it
- 37:09into a TV show. So that's how, you know. I don't know
- 37:13how cop Rock happened. I don't know that's the same. I'm sure there
- 37:19was another something musically that was very popular at that time. And because,
- 37:23like you said, with a chopra Quantico. Yeah yeah, well then they
- 37:30put her she's the one who married the Jonas brother, right, yes,
- 37:34yeah, So then they did Citadel, which I don't know if you saw
- 37:36that, Yeah, not great, Okay, yeah, but they which is
- 37:40kind of like basically spin off of Quantico. Well yeah, it's basically,
- 37:44you know, take one good idea and we'll beat the crap out of it
- 37:46and you go get nine other shows that are horrible. Man, are you
- 37:52still talking about Hollywood? Are you talking about radio? Well? Uh,
- 38:01speaking of bad television. Trey sent me a link that I'm not quite sure
- 38:09how to explain or even set this up, because this is so stupid that
- 38:16it belongs squarely here in the treehouse, and I am ashamed that we haven't
- 38:22had it in here sooner it is. It's probably I will say that it's
- 38:27probably the most unscripted. Who's on first interaction? I think I've ever seen
- 38:35Trey? If you could set this clip up for us so I can't remember
- 38:45the guy's name. He's a contributor on Fox News and he's on Laura Ingram
- 38:49show. He oftentimes I believe he's an attorney, and it'll come in and
- 38:52you know, we just make different points about culture and you know, things
- 38:57that are going on. Okay, and this is Laura Ingram, Laura Ingram
- 39:01on her ship. Yeah, okay, hang on, watchuring an episode of
- 39:09You where measles came up? Wait wait, wait when did I mention measles?
- 39:15I don't know it was on you? What? What was on me?
- 39:22What are you talking about? Right? I never was on you.
- 39:29We never did a we never did a measles in vaccine episode of my Is
- 39:34this a joke? I don't know what you're talking about. It was on
- 39:36you, it was on you. I've never had Raymond, I've never had
- 39:40measles. What are you talking about? It's stupid. It was an episode
- 39:44of a show, Laura. What's it called you? It's called you?
- 39:51I've never done a show on measles. I just completely give up up called
- 39:55you on Netflix. There's a show called Laura on an f Oh my god,
- 40:01I'm moving on to a Dell. I can't explain this to it.
- 40:04You know, I was watching an episode. I love that. That's it.
- 40:07I'm moving on to a Dell. I just I mean she I can't
- 40:10even did she ever? That is That's the saddest ship I've ever heard.
- 40:15You know, you know it was bad because you could actually see facial expressions
- 40:20on her boatox ridden face. Yeah, when frustration can cut through the botox.
- 40:29Yeah, that that was. That was those stupid botulism gave up.
- 40:37Yeah, I can't just test. Oh man, I needed that after this
- 40:45week. Oh man, god, can you please send to me. I
- 40:52will happily send that to you once again. I mean this, this is
- 40:57the place you come for stupid. I don't even know. I don't know
- 41:00how recent that was, doesn't matter. The stupid is forever. And speaking
- 41:06of that, we will see you for the next episode right here in the Trios
