- 0:00Speaker 1: A week ago, the Eagles made their first round pick,
- 0:04Speaker 1: and it was McKay Lemon. Let's get Andrew to Checko's
- 0:08Speaker 1: thoughts on that, and he had predicted on the show
- 0:10Speaker 1: that the Eagles would trade up Monroe Freeling was there
- 0:15Speaker 1: at nineteen, Andrew was that who the Eagles were trying
- 0:19Speaker 1: to maneuver up to go get? He goes at nineteen
- 0:23Speaker 1: and then they have a guy they like in Lemon
- 0:25Speaker 1: still on their list. What do you make of their
- 0:29Speaker 1: night trying to, you know, possibly move up a little
- 0:32Speaker 1: further because it sounded like they wanted to try to
- 0:34Speaker 1: get to fifteen, sixteen somewhere in there.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that was my presumption Mike that Monroe
- 0:40Speaker 2: Framing was the guy, but I haven't gotten that confirmed.
- 0:42Speaker 2: But one can sort of draw conclusions knowing how much
- 0:45Speaker 2: time they spent really evaluating the offensive tackle position and
- 0:49Speaker 2: some of the pre eminent players at that position. So
- 0:53Speaker 2: I think it was more so they saw value. They
- 0:55Speaker 2: didn't expect mkay Lemon to be there. There was a
- 0:58Speaker 2: need for wide receiver and at certainly aligned. You know,
- 1:02Speaker 2: I really like to pick. I think he's someone who
- 1:05Speaker 2: projects as an early impact kind of player. He can
- 1:07Speaker 2: thrive over the middle of the field, win on some
- 1:09Speaker 2: of those inbreaking routes, really really razor sharp route runner,
- 1:14Speaker 2: can separate at the top of the routes and physical
- 1:16Speaker 2: at the catch point. He kind of reminds me in
- 1:19Speaker 2: body type and skill set like a Steve Smith, and
- 1:23Speaker 2: then after the catch he reminds me a little bit
- 1:25Speaker 2: of Golden Tate, acting almost as a bowling ball and
- 1:28Speaker 2: defenders being the bowling pen. He really fights for every yard.
- 1:31Speaker 2: So it's a really good fit from a from an intangible,
- 1:35Speaker 2: from a skill set perspective, based off of what we're
- 1:39Speaker 2: expecting the Eagles to do under Shaw Mannion, right, So.
- 1:42Speaker 1: They get him at twenty He is a slot guy,
- 1:44Speaker 1: you know, that's where he ran a lot of his routes.
- 1:47Speaker 1: How do you think, No, we don't know what this
- 1:48Speaker 1: offense is gonna look like, but we kind of know
- 1:50Speaker 1: what Mannion likes to do. Do you like to fit
- 1:52Speaker 1: for this offense?
- 1:53Speaker 2: And with Jalen Hurts, I like it in the sense
- 1:58Speaker 2: that it's the way that you see a lot of
- 2:00Speaker 2: these top tier offenses operating. The Eagles haven't had a
- 2:04Speaker 2: true slot receiver, middle of the field type of guy
- 2:08Speaker 2: who can move the chains and break some tackles and
- 2:11Speaker 2: keep the offense on schedule. So from that standpoint, I
- 2:15Speaker 2: do like it. I do have questions as to whether
- 2:17Speaker 2: or not he will be as heavily involved as he
- 2:20Speaker 2: would be ordinarily, and that stems from Jalen Hurts and
- 2:24Speaker 2: the offense's aversion from really leaning into those mid range throws.
- 2:29Speaker 2: That's going to have to change, and I would imagine
- 2:32Speaker 2: that it will under Seawan Manny and they're going to
- 2:33Speaker 2: look to really tap into that aspect to unlock another
- 2:37Speaker 2: element of the offense that really hasn't manifested over the
- 2:41Speaker 2: years with Nick Sirianni and Jalen Hurts. Jayalen Hurts, if
- 2:45Speaker 2: you read the ESPN story, as I go back to
- 2:47Speaker 2: that inside the story, it's said that he's as open
- 2:50Speaker 2: to change now as he's ever been, and with that
- 2:54Speaker 2: comes learning how to become uncomfortable, become comfortable being uncomfortable,
- 2:59Speaker 2: and that includes some of those middle of the field throws,
- 3:02Speaker 2: because let's not forget Mike. It's not that he can't
- 3:05Speaker 2: do it, because he has done it before. It's about
- 3:08Speaker 2: doing it with consistency, and that has been largely absent
- 3:12Speaker 2: of the Eagles offense.
- 3:13Speaker 1: All right, look good stuff there, Makay Lemon, And obviously
- 3:16Speaker 1: he's the first round pick. Eli Stowers a guy that
- 3:18Speaker 1: you know well, you talk to him, give us some
- 3:21Speaker 1: thoughts on how he might fit in with his skill set.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Yeah, really explosive athlete, needless to say, with his forty
- 3:29Speaker 2: five and a half inch vertical his broad jump was
- 3:32Speaker 2: off the charge around a four to five to one
- 3:34Speaker 2: and those skills, those explosive athletic traits translate onto the
- 3:38Speaker 2: football field. And he's sort of the modern NFL tight
- 3:42Speaker 2: end and that he can be moved around formations. He's
- 3:45Speaker 2: a matchup nightmare, but he's more right now based on
- 3:49Speaker 2: body type and really his skill set. He's not an
- 3:51Speaker 2: inline blocker. He's kind of a power slot, a big
- 3:55Speaker 2: body plus size wide receiver, really good route runner, good
- 3:59Speaker 2: ball skills, and his background as a quarterback, as he
- 4:02Speaker 2: mentioned in my interview with him before the draft, it
- 4:05Speaker 2: really helped him when it came to learning the different
- 4:08Speaker 2: intricacies of route running in terms of learning where landmarks are,
- 4:13Speaker 2: what quarterbacks are looking for and have that detail. So
- 4:16Speaker 2: that really to me was evident watching him play. And
- 4:19Speaker 2: I don't know how heavily involved Helby in the offense
- 4:22Speaker 2: this season, but in twenty twenty six, he's going to
- 4:24Speaker 2: be a fixture in this Eagles offense.
- 4:27Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a good question.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Is what do they do anticipate that they has a
- 4:31Speaker 1: role in this year's offense with his skill set, what
- 4:34Speaker 1: he brings to the table, and what this offense is
- 4:36Speaker 1: looking to do.
- 4:38Speaker 2: There certainly has to be a role for a dynamic
- 4:41Speaker 2: athlete like that who can be that who can create
- 4:45Speaker 2: mismatches and be that matchup nightmare that I was referring to.
- 4:48Speaker 2: I don't know if he's going to see an influx
- 4:51Speaker 2: of targets or how heavily utilized will be because is
- 4:55Speaker 2: deficient when it comes to blocking, and I don't think
- 4:58Speaker 2: it's fair for anyone to say that he's not good
- 5:01Speaker 2: at blocking. I mean, he's not good at it right now,
- 5:03Speaker 2: but it doesn't mean that he can't be, is what
- 5:04Speaker 2: I'm trying to say. He's willing and I asked him
- 5:07Speaker 2: a lot of questions about the blocking aspect of the position,
- 5:10Speaker 2: and he's willing to do it. It's gonna be It's
- 5:13Speaker 2: gonna take a little bit of time. Do I think
- 5:14Speaker 2: he'll ever be a dominant blocker certainly not that's not
- 5:17Speaker 2: his forte. But I think he can be markedly improved
- 5:21Speaker 2: compared to where he is now. And then if he comes,
- 5:24Speaker 2: you know, incumbent upon tight ends coach Ryan Mahaffey to
- 5:28Speaker 2: work on that area of his game and and and
- 5:29Speaker 2: grow that. Zach Ertz wasn't known as a blocker and
- 5:32Speaker 2: he never really developed into much of one, but that
- 5:34Speaker 2: didn't stop him from having a significant impact on the
- 5:38Speaker 2: game and being a focal point in the offense. And
- 5:40Speaker 2: no one really knew what Dallas Gotter was from a
- 5:42Speaker 2: blocking ass from a blocking element as well, and he
- 5:45Speaker 2: really he turned into becoming an above average blocker. So
- 5:50Speaker 2: because of those things right now, while he's still learning
- 5:52Speaker 2: that area, it limits overall what he can do in
- 5:56Speaker 2: year one, but I think in year two he'll be
- 5:59Speaker 2: he'll be heavily involved.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Andrew Dechecko Football of four a look back at the
- 6:03Speaker 1: draft class and get Andrews take on it for the
- 6:05Speaker 1: first time as they take Bell in the third round
- 6:09Speaker 1: as a massive offensive lineman. Obviously, does it appear that
- 6:13Speaker 1: he would have a role particularly this year. This seems
- 6:16Speaker 1: like a pick for down the road, but played predominantly
- 6:20Speaker 1: left tackle. So how do you see the fit with Philadelphia?
- 6:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I really liked the player, and whenever I was
- 6:25Speaker 2: asked about offensive tackles on day two, at the top
- 6:28Speaker 2: of my list was Markel Bell out of the University
- 6:31Speaker 2: of Miami. Now you mentioned it, you outlined it. Well,
- 6:33Speaker 2: he's more of a developmental prospect. He spent two years
- 6:36Speaker 2: at junior college, then plays two years at Miami. He's
- 6:40Speaker 2: he was a left tackle there, a big body guy,
- 6:43Speaker 2: a little bit over six foot nine, three hundred and
- 6:45Speaker 2: forty six pounds, moves a little bit better than you
- 6:47Speaker 2: might expect for someone of that size and has a
- 6:50Speaker 2: lot of power and that really reveals itself when you
- 6:52Speaker 2: see him anchoring in the run game and bullying defensive lineman.
- 6:56Speaker 2: That being said, he does struggle because he's taller when
- 7:00Speaker 2: it comes to bending and learning how to use his
- 7:03Speaker 2: body to his advantage. But he's such a big guy
- 7:06Speaker 2: that you have to almost it's tough to get around him,
- 7:08Speaker 2: and those those kind of qualities, and you know measurables
- 7:12Speaker 2: are you can't teach those things. I think he'll have
- 7:15Speaker 2: to learn how to use his body from a technical
- 7:18Speaker 2: standpoint to his advantage. At the NFL level, but it
- 7:22Speaker 2: could be a year or so down the line, but
- 7:24Speaker 2: I do view him as a high upside swing there.
- 7:26Speaker 1: All right, Uh, and what you know, we had talked
- 7:29Speaker 1: with Jeff on Monday Show about you know, because McKai
- 7:33Speaker 1: Beckton got to look at guard, would this be something
- 7:36Speaker 1: that you would think he would be a fit for
- 7:38Speaker 1: or not at all.
- 7:39Speaker 2: He's a little bigger than Mackai Becton, a little bit
- 7:42Speaker 2: over six'. NINE i Think Mackai beckton was six y.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Seven that was sort of the, exception not the. Rule
- 7:47Speaker 2: Jeff stotlin was here and he was the driving force behind,
- 7:50Speaker 2: that AND i, think for you, know for what it's,
- 7:53Speaker 2: worth looking, BACK i Think Mackay beckton's impact on the
- 7:56Speaker 2: offense was a little bit. OVERRATED i think it's a
- 7:59Speaker 2: little revere in his history because there were moments WHERE
- 8:03Speaker 2: i thought that teams were able to kind of take
- 8:05Speaker 2: advantage of him on that offensive, line and he was
- 8:07Speaker 2: a dominant force in the run. Game there's no disputing.
- 8:10Speaker 2: That AND i think that's also a byproduct of playing
- 8:13Speaker 2: at the time between an all star center In Cam
- 8:18Speaker 2: jurgens And Lane johnson playing at the top of his.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Game and he still is so, YEAH i don't, KNOW
- 8:23Speaker 2: i don't know if that's the best fit Form and right,
- 8:25Speaker 2: now if you listen to how he, rosemhan he, said
- 8:26Speaker 2: the plan is to keep him at.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Tackle all, right let's continue. On we're talking With andrew
- 8:30Speaker 1: De Checho football. Four looking back at The eagles draft,
- 8:33Speaker 1: Class Cole payton kind of A swiss army knife. Here
- 8:37Speaker 1: people kind of Saying Taysom hill when he got drafted
- 8:40Speaker 1: as a. Quarterback he's kind of a dual threat guy.
- 8:42Speaker 1: There fifth round is what's interesting to. Me usually a
- 8:45Speaker 1: fifth round guy makes.
- 8:47Speaker 3: The, team.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Right AND i actually had him in one of my
- 8:52Speaker 2: three mock drafts that they might have been the first
- 8:54Speaker 2: and second when The eagles had nine. PICKS i had
- 8:56Speaker 2: him going at one seventy eight to The eagles BECAUSE
- 8:59Speaker 2: i just saw the value being too richer than to
- 9:01Speaker 2: pass up. On it was hard to Imagine eagles coming
- 9:04Speaker 2: out of draft weekend without a. Quarterback AND i like
- 9:08Speaker 2: his skill set in that he brings something unique to
- 9:10Speaker 2: the table versus someone Like kyle, McCord who really didn't
- 9:13Speaker 2: have any glaring characteristics to his. Game it, was you,
- 9:19Speaker 2: know it was just a solid. Quarterback but What Cole
- 9:23Speaker 2: payton can do is he gives you that dynamic ability
- 9:26Speaker 2: as a, runner and he's so tough to bring. DOWN
- 9:29Speaker 2: i completed seventy two percent of his. PASSES i spoke
- 9:33Speaker 2: to his position coach yesterday and what kept coming back
- 9:37Speaker 2: to me was how diligent he is in the film,
- 9:40Speaker 2: room and how willing and open to coaching he, is
- 9:42Speaker 2: and all those things that you like to. Hear and
- 9:44Speaker 2: he's going to get a lot of that. Here he
- 9:46Speaker 2: still needs a lot of refinement when it comes to.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Mechanics it's going to take a little bit of time
- 9:50Speaker 2: for him to mold himself into AN nfl caliber. Backup
- 9:55Speaker 2: but as you, mentioned you don't draft the player in
- 9:58Speaker 2: the fifth round and part with them prematurely without giving
- 10:01Speaker 2: them every. Opportunity AND i do believe That eagles view
- 10:04Speaker 2: him as a, nice cost controlled option with developmental. Qualities
- 10:08Speaker 2: it just might take a year or so for that
- 10:10Speaker 2: to really be fully.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Realized all, right interesting prospect, There Michael. Morris this is
- 10:14Speaker 1: an interior, lineman not a lot of college, experience played
- 10:19Speaker 1: really one year At, georgia was a believe a left
- 10:23Speaker 1: guard or a right, guard and then played a little
- 10:25Speaker 1: bit at the other. Side SO i guess this would
- 10:27Speaker 1: be your swing. Guard, Possibly, Yeah Michael.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Morris if you look At eagles roster and how it's
- 10:32Speaker 2: currently constructed, NOW i would imagine things to. Change they
- 10:35Speaker 2: could still use a veteran. Guard he would have the
- 10:37Speaker 2: best opportunity Because eagles lacked for a traditional vintage. Guard
- 10:42Speaker 2: in terms of the, backups you have players Like Drew
- 10:46Speaker 2: kendall And Jake majors And Willie, lampkin but they're all
- 10:49Speaker 2: centers by. Trade Fred johnson is kicked inside the, guard
- 10:52Speaker 2: but he really earlier in his, career but he's really
- 10:55Speaker 2: best suited to be a. Tackle and SO i look
- 10:58Speaker 2: At Michael morris coming From. Joey you have the high,
- 11:00Speaker 2: pedigree a little bit over six foot, five three hundred
- 11:03Speaker 2: and thirty four pounds at THE nfl scouting, combine and
- 11:06Speaker 2: pretty athletic for as big as he. Is AND i
- 11:09Speaker 2: said the same thing About Mark. Helpell looked like A
- 11:12Speaker 2: Jeff statlin type of lineman to, me and maybe not
- 11:15Speaker 2: what we were expecting going into. It with what we
- 11:17Speaker 2: were sort of Imagining Chris cooper would cover, it but
- 11:21Speaker 2: he played at such a high level At georgia earlier
- 11:24Speaker 2: in his career when he was a true, freshman going
- 11:26Speaker 2: Against Jalen carter And Jordan, DAVIS i think almost helped
- 11:29Speaker 2: shape you and prepare you for what's. Ahead and then the,
- 11:33Speaker 2: VERSATILITY i think is what you, like being able to
- 11:35Speaker 2: play the left or right. Side he started five games
- 11:38Speaker 2: at right guard in twenty twenty four and then the
- 11:41Speaker 2: full complement of games fourteen last. Season SO i think
- 11:46Speaker 2: he's a player that you feel really good about knowing
- 11:48Speaker 2: that he's coming from a premier school and there's going
- 11:51Speaker 2: to be opportunity there for him to land a roster.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Spot all, right good stuff, there because obviously they need
- 11:57Speaker 1: some depth on this offensive. Line we'll see How bell well,
- 12:00Speaker 1: first and of Course Michael morris move.
- 12:03Speaker 3: On Cole wasnwski a.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Seventh round, safety so obviously you know you've Got EPs
- 12:09Speaker 1: And macouba And. Wesnouski here a seventh round, pick does
- 12:12Speaker 1: he have a shot to impress on this.
- 12:15Speaker 2: ROSTER i really like The cole Was newski, pick and
- 12:20Speaker 2: one he has PROBABLY i, MENTIONED i mentioned the guard
- 12:25Speaker 2: From georgia is having a really good opportunity In Michael
- 12:28Speaker 2: morris to make the. Roster But cole Was nuski has
- 12:31Speaker 2: a pretty clear path as things currently stand with the safety.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Room DO i think The eagles are done at that?
- 12:36Speaker 2: Position probably? Not But wasznuski is six foot three two
- 12:40Speaker 2: and twenty. POUNDS i did speak to his position coach as.
- 12:43Speaker 2: WELL i mean he moves a little bit better than
- 12:46Speaker 2: he's given credit. For highly instinctual football, player sound, tackler
- 12:51Speaker 2: has a linebacker, background spent spent some time At North
- 12:54Speaker 2: Dakota state before transferring To Texas, tech led his position
- 12:58Speaker 2: room in, drills in film study at, oftentimes and just
- 13:03Speaker 2: an inherent leader with good communication. Skills now it's going
- 13:06Speaker 2: to be about absorbing what is a pretty complex system
- 13:10Speaker 2: where there's a lot of demands on the safety position
- 13:12Speaker 2: and A Vic fangio, defense and trying to get off
- 13:15Speaker 2: to a fast start and carving out a role on special.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Teams that's going to be his pathway to the. Roster
- 13:21Speaker 2: what is he able to contribute in the third? Phase all?
- 13:23Speaker 3: Right, yeah a lot of people are intrigued by. That Ubar.
- 13:27Speaker 1: BERNARD i don't know that there's more of an intriguing
- 13:29Speaker 1: guy in the entire draft Class philadelphia or beyond than
- 13:34Speaker 1: this guy's.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Measurables one of my favorite draft picks happens to be
- 13:39Speaker 2: one who's never played football Before. Mike and look when
- 13:42Speaker 2: he had that dominant workout at THE Hbcu showcase and
- 13:46Speaker 2: The International Pathway Player Pro, DAY i made some calls
- 13:50Speaker 2: BECAUSE i wanted to learn more about this guy and
- 13:54Speaker 2: get some more, background AND i was able to glean
- 13:58Speaker 2: a lot of pertinent information where you, know he lost
- 14:02Speaker 2: his father at an early age and he was presented
- 14:04Speaker 2: with an opportunity to change the lives of his. Family
- 14:08Speaker 2: he was discovered a couple of years early at a,
- 14:11Speaker 2: combine wasn't yet of. Age they pretty much, said you,
- 14:14Speaker 2: know you have a really good opportunity, here work, hard
- 14:18Speaker 2: train and we're going to see you back. Here and
- 14:21Speaker 2: there is a funny story that someone who worked with
- 14:24Speaker 2: him told me they had like a pre training combine
- 14:27Speaker 2: In london In. October they couldn't find any shoes that fit,
- 14:31Speaker 2: him and so he had to do the vertical jump
- 14:34Speaker 2: in socks and still soared to thirty eight inches in the.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Vertical but, YEAH i, mean you have to think of.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Everything he's never played football. Before his diet changed, dramatically
- 14:45Speaker 2: AS i understand, it from preparing for the combine to
- 14:47Speaker 2: what he was particularly used to, prior And i'm just
- 14:51Speaker 2: fascinated to see what he's able to do when the
- 14:54Speaker 2: pads come on and he's on a football, field because
- 14:56Speaker 2: then it becomes you got to master the hand utilization
- 15:00Speaker 2: and the finer nuances of the. Position it's going to
- 15:02Speaker 2: take two or three, YEARS i would imagine for him
- 15:05Speaker 2: to really become AN nfl, player if he in fact
- 15:08Speaker 2: does become AN nfl, Player but that kind of. Upside
- 15:12Speaker 2: you take a swing on that every. Time and if The,
- 15:16Speaker 2: eagles if he were to land with ANY nfl team
- 15:18Speaker 2: to give him the best chance at reaching his, potential It's,
- 15:21Speaker 2: philadelphia where they pride themselves on player, development and he
- 15:25Speaker 2: lands with WHO i, believe in my, opinion is the
- 15:28Speaker 2: best defensive line coach in THE, nfl In Clint.
- 15:30Speaker 3: Hurt it'll be interesting to.
- 15:32Speaker 1: See so what do they have to do with him
- 15:34Speaker 1: if they're so intrigued by this, guy and obviously we
- 15:37Speaker 1: would be shocked if he contributed this. Year does he
- 15:39Speaker 1: have to be on the fifty three and in active
- 15:42Speaker 1: on game?
- 15:43Speaker 3: Days how do they work?
- 15:44Speaker 2: That, YEAH i think you're allowed to have one player
- 15:47Speaker 2: on the exemption. LIST i have to go back and
- 15:50Speaker 2: check but if he showcases any semblance of a player
- 15:54Speaker 2: that has developmental qualities in the preseason or even in,
- 15:58Speaker 2: practice The eagles are typically reluctant to part with a
- 16:01Speaker 2: player like. That and there's you, know the books out
- 16:04Speaker 2: on Who Ar, Bernard he's the secrets. Out he's not
- 16:07Speaker 2: sneaking up on anybody that. There there's going to be
- 16:09Speaker 2: a lot of teams out there THAT i would imagine
- 16:11Speaker 2: would be intrigued, by you, know if he were to
- 16:15Speaker 2: be waived and try to bring him in and believe
- 16:17Speaker 2: it they can can develop him a little. Bit SO
- 16:20Speaker 2: i think he'll be on the on The eagles, roster
- 16:24Speaker 2: and it provided he shows, them uh some signs of
- 16:28Speaker 2: promise and continues to take steps in the right direction
- 16:31Speaker 2: throughout the. Summer.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Right.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Uh and last guy Is Kishan James, nuby kind of a,
- 16:36Speaker 1: vagabond three different, colleges edge.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Guy you.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Know last year they took a chance on an edge
- 16:42Speaker 1: guy in the seventh round as, well and that guy
- 16:46Speaker 1: was a much more accomplished college, Player Kishon James. Nuby
- 16:49Speaker 1: it would probably be a real long shot.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Here.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Yeah Antoine Powell ryland From Virginia tech out of the
- 16:55Speaker 2: sixth round is the name that you were looking for,
- 16:57Speaker 2: There but, YEAH i mean it's it's kind of fair
- 17:00Speaker 2: to draw similar, Comparisons. Mike you look At Keishawn James
- 17:03Speaker 2: newby began his career At Montana, tech spent three years.
- 17:07Speaker 2: There in his final two, seasons he had four and five, sacks.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Respectively goes To idaho and does well, there transfers To
- 17:14Speaker 2: New Mexico. State in his final two, seasons he combined
- 17:18Speaker 2: for nineteen and a half, sacks had an abundance of
- 17:20Speaker 2: tackles for. Loss not a big guy six foot, two
- 17:23Speaker 2: two thirty, eight and he's not a power. Rusher he
- 17:26Speaker 2: doesn't bring that power, element but AS i understand, it
- 17:29Speaker 2: he does have a pretty a pretty diverse group of
- 17:33Speaker 2: pass rush, moves and he's, quick athletic type of. Player
- 17:37Speaker 2: he'll be twenty four In, august so he's on the
- 17:39Speaker 2: older side, there but he's going to have to really
- 17:41Speaker 2: make his mark on special teams if he wants to
- 17:44Speaker 2: improve his chances of sticking around on the fifty three man.
- 17:47Speaker 2: ROSTER i would, imagine.
- 17:49Speaker 3: Right your favorite pick of this class.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Was Who Eli stowers tight End. VANDERBILT i just, YEAH
- 17:55Speaker 2: i think he just has, hesitation thew so much room to.
- 18:01Speaker 2: Grow mike just three years removed from being a, quarterback
- 18:04Speaker 2: and if you look at his two seasons At, vanderbilt
- 18:06Speaker 2: it seems like he's very much an arrow up kind of,
- 18:09Speaker 2: player a MODERN nfl tight end that you can be
- 18:13Speaker 2: really unique with and how you deploy. HIM i think
- 18:16Speaker 2: his best football is certainly ahead of, him And i'm
- 18:18Speaker 2: curious to see how The eagles choose to exploit his
- 18:21Speaker 2: rare athletic.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Ability would you think Mackay lemon has a big impact this?
- 18:26Speaker 2: Year, yes all, RIGHT i do hear.
- 18:29Speaker 3: THAT i love that. Pick by the, way that was
- 18:32Speaker 3: a really good. PICK i loved. It love that.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Pick it'll be very incumbent on How Jalen hurts works
- 18:38Speaker 1: him in and how comfortable he. Is that all, Right
- 18:41Speaker 1: so after the, draft what's still left to?
- 18:44Speaker 3: Do in your?
- 18:44Speaker 2: Eyes, well there's a few positions of Need mike that
- 18:48Speaker 2: really stick out to, me safety being one of. Them
- 18:51Speaker 2: they Have Marcus, EPs you Have drew, Mccooba Michael, carter
- 18:55Speaker 2: the second J T, Gray Brandon. Johnson they have. Guys
- 18:59Speaker 2: but as my For Adam kaplan will tell, you depth
- 19:02Speaker 2: is not about the amount of players that you have
- 19:04Speaker 2: at one. Position it's about the quality of those. PLAYERS
- 19:08Speaker 2: i have the sense that The eagles aren't finished at that.
- 19:10Speaker 2: POSITION i don't want to exclude cole Was newski either
- 19:13Speaker 2: after just speaking about. Them but then you look at.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Guard they lack for a veteran presence there at. Guard
- 19:18Speaker 2: let's not forget That Landon dickerson has been really snake
- 19:22Speaker 2: bitten when it comes to, injuries AND i think it
- 19:24Speaker 2: would behoove The eagles to add some veteran security. There
- 19:28Speaker 2: doesn't have to be a big, name but someone who
- 19:30Speaker 2: you feel confident can step. In and, yes it would
- 19:33Speaker 2: have to be a little bit more of an upgrade
- 19:34Speaker 2: over Like Nick gates from a couple of years, ago
- 19:38Speaker 2: but they still need something there in my. Estimation and
- 19:40Speaker 2: then you look at defensive, tackle it's not a need
- 19:43Speaker 2: for twenty twenty six per. Se you have your three
- 19:46Speaker 2: guys that Are Etchedon stone And Jalen, Carter Jordan davis
- 19:50Speaker 2: And Moro. Jomo but then there's questions beyond that Because
- 19:54Speaker 2: Moro joma was playing on his rookie the final year
- 19:57Speaker 2: of his rookie. Deal so As Byron, young you have Time,
- 20:00Speaker 2: robinson but he's sort of an unknown entity right. Now
- 20:02Speaker 2: didn't play all that much on. Defense he's an old
- 20:05Speaker 2: he was an older prospect last year and this is
- 20:08Speaker 2: a big off season for. Him BUT i think at
- 20:11Speaker 2: the bare, minimum you could stand to add a player
- 20:13Speaker 2: who's going to push and challenge him in training. Camp
- 20:16Speaker 2: SO i think that's an area that for depth purposes
- 20:19Speaker 2: might be a little, lighter but it will certainly be
- 20:21Speaker 2: something that comes to the forefront next.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Offseason all, right, well all off season will. Continue football
- 20:27Speaker 1: for mini camps on the. Way schedule will be coming
- 20:30Speaker 1: out before we know a training camp will be.
- 20:32Speaker 3: Here it seems like it starts to roll.
