- 0:02Speaker 1: Good to go. Welcome to another episode of Busting with
- 0:05Speaker 1: the Boys. I'm your host, Will Compton. It is literally
- 0:07Speaker 1: not even ah, what time is it like two thirty,
- 0:12Speaker 1: It's not We're not even twenty four hours. We're not
- 0:14Speaker 1: even a full day removed from the case. Race just
- 0:17Speaker 1: got in. Fortunately, we already did the interview segment with Taylor,
- 0:20Speaker 1: or we already did the segment with Taylor, So we've
- 0:22Speaker 1: got some I've gotten some talking out of the way.
- 0:24Speaker 1: But it's been brutal, boys. I've finally got a sandwich
- 0:27Speaker 1: in my stomach. If you're watching right now, I apparently
- 0:31Speaker 1: the boys can still see like some eyeliner on my
- 0:33Speaker 1: eyes from uh the sting the paint. But I was
- 0:39Speaker 1: I was fucking warped last night, boys, And it was
- 0:41Speaker 1: one of those nights, like I'll telling you earlier before
- 0:44Speaker 1: we got on, but it was one of those nights
- 0:47Speaker 1: where I feel I got en count on my hand
- 0:49Speaker 1: where you drink so much and you like don't remember
- 0:53Speaker 1: a lot of the night before.
- 0:55Speaker 2: And that's how it was. That's how it was, That's
- 0:59Speaker 2: how it's been for me.
- 1:00Speaker 1: You're talking about pants being down, I'm like, fuck, I
- 1:03Speaker 1: did take my pants off. But I don't remember why.
- 1:06Speaker 1: I don't remember Shane and Stephen Chya almost uh Chay,
- 1:13Speaker 1: Stephen Chay. I don't want to mispronounce my guy's name. Uh,
- 1:17Speaker 1: we're Legit seemed like about the fight. I'm just sitting there,
- 1:20Speaker 1: like how deleting popcorn in the background, Like I don't
- 1:23Speaker 1: even remember the fight thing Like then, I just wake
- 1:26Speaker 1: up at like five point thirty in the morning, windows
- 1:29Speaker 1: like the curtains roping, I'm fully clothed and everything else.
- 1:32Speaker 1: I thought I missed my flight, and shit, I see
- 1:33Speaker 1: it's five thirty and I thank god, face still painted,
- 1:36Speaker 1: fully painted. Oh, it was a grinder. It was a
- 1:41Speaker 1: great time though, Like that was It's a good group
- 1:45Speaker 1: of dudes. It gets just ten dudes locked in a
- 1:49Speaker 1: room drinking beer and being dudes.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Dudes are rough housing. They got the slap wheel. Did
- 1:57Speaker 2: anybody do this slap wheel?
- 2:00Speaker 3: It's going rearing right now.
- 2:01Speaker 4: We haven't seen it.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I don't even remember. I think I might remember one
- 2:04Speaker 1: time he like telling him, like, yeah, go ahead, slap me,
- 2:08Speaker 1: But I don't know if that's true. I don't know
- 2:09Speaker 1: if I'm making that up in my head right now.
- 2:13Speaker 1: It was a good time, though, hangover fucking sucks, dude.
- 2:19Speaker 1: It was a good time though, can't believe my pants
- 2:21Speaker 1: were off for it seemed like half of it. I'm
- 2:24Speaker 1: just sitting there, and you know it was a maybe
- 2:28Speaker 1: not the best moment, maybe not the best, maybe not
- 2:31Speaker 1: the best showing for the little guy below the belt,
- 2:34Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Oh, you know, I have
- 2:36Speaker 1: your good days and bad days, and I would say
- 2:39Speaker 1: last night, if we checked the tape, it felt like
- 2:42Speaker 1: it was more of a bad day. Big Cat text
- 2:44Speaker 1: me this morning and Goes just talked about how small
- 2:46Speaker 1: my cock was or something like that, how small my
- 2:49Speaker 1: penis was.
- 2:50Speaker 5: Hey, the office, the office is cold.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Though office is cold.
- 2:53Speaker 1: And I will say, like my guy, my little boy,
- 2:56Speaker 1: he gets shy at times. Like he was shy. He
- 2:57Speaker 1: was meeting new people. He was out and about. I
- 2:59Speaker 1: was trying to like force force feed him. I'm trying
- 3:03Speaker 1: to force them to get out of get out of
- 3:05Speaker 1: the box and breathe a little bit. And he's around
- 3:08Speaker 1: new people. He was a little shy yesterday. Yeah, he
- 3:11Speaker 1: was on camera too, Like they say, you lose ten pounds. Oh,
- 3:20Speaker 1: is he like a Chevy or no, he performs like
- 3:23Speaker 1: a Chevy offendable, durable, advanced, just like a yeah, just
- 3:30Speaker 1: like the oh yeah, yeah you sent me up. I
- 3:34Speaker 1: feel I was gonna say I'm off my game right now,
- 3:36Speaker 1: but I feel like I wouldn't have even caught that anyway.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Uh.
- 3:39Speaker 1: But yes, this episode is brought to you by the
- 3:41Speaker 1: most reliable vehicle on the road today, the Chevy Silverado, strong, independable,
- 3:49Speaker 1: just like the people who drive them, just like the
- 3:52Speaker 1: people who are sitting in their box and briefs thatt
- 3:54Speaker 1: it case race My Chevy is uh. I need to
- 4:00Speaker 1: take a breath right now, it's starting out. I'm starting
- 4:03Speaker 1: to feel like Josh Allen on the episode to Joshups.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Where we had to take a break.
- 4:08Speaker 1: The Chevy is modernate, advance with a ton of grit.
- 4:11Speaker 1: That is what I am being right now. I'm being
- 4:13Speaker 1: pretty oh you gotta beleep that out.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:17Speaker 1: We're powering through a partner and getting things done, especially
- 4:20Speaker 1: when it comes to the heart and soul of the
- 4:21Speaker 1: pickup truck, the bed guys that can't talk about the
- 4:26Speaker 1: Chevy enough, and as we know, like Jack, the episode
- 4:31Speaker 1: with rich Iron isn't gonna work out as soon as
- 4:33Speaker 1: we thought it the ed it would it seems like
- 4:35Speaker 1: it's gonna be a year.
- 4:37Speaker 2: It seems like it's gonna be next year.
- 4:39Speaker 1: So Jack is going to have to work like a reliable,
- 4:43Speaker 1: dependable vehicle such as the Chevy Soverado in tweeting every
- 4:47Speaker 1: day until rich Icon comes on. When rich does come on,
- 4:50Speaker 1: Jack is gonna earn himself a Chevy Silverado. So that
- 4:55Speaker 1: is our presenting sponsor. We love Chevy, don't we, guys.
- 5:00Speaker 1: They're the best, Yes, sir, yes, sir, strong, advanced, dependable,
- 5:05Speaker 1: hard working, just like you, guys, go to a Chevy
- 5:07Speaker 1: dealership near you, let him know that the boys sent you.
- 5:09Speaker 1: They might throw they might throw you in a like
- 5:11Speaker 1: a little gift bage or something like that, like a
- 5:14Speaker 1: little toy that you get from Burger King, Like you
- 5:17Speaker 1: know when you're young and you went to Burger King
- 5:18Speaker 1: and you get like the Pokemon toys. So come on, now,
- 5:21Speaker 1: the gold plates inside the the gold plates in inside
- 5:24Speaker 1: the poke ball. I'd be taking some shout out, oh ooh,
- 5:33Speaker 1: that would be a good one. That would be a
- 5:34Speaker 1: really good one. But yeah, dude, it's uh, it's it's
- 5:38Speaker 1: a tough day to day. It really is.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Almost threw up on the plane.
- 5:44Speaker 1: I was getting really nervous about that because where are
- 5:47Speaker 1: you doing it at? Go in that little bathroom. Like
- 5:49Speaker 1: I'm the type of guy if I puke, even if
- 5:52Speaker 1: it's even if I'm working out, I can't just bend
- 5:55Speaker 1: over and puke like I'm getting on my hands and knees.
- 5:59Speaker 1: So there's no way that I'm getting I'm gonna be
- 6:00Speaker 1: able to get on my hands and knees in a
- 6:03Speaker 1: h in a in a plane's bathroom, so it'd have
- 6:06Speaker 1: been a bit of a deal.
- 6:07Speaker 2: But I'm definitely struggling.
- 6:09Speaker 1: But the case race shout out to the Yak Boys, dude,
- 6:12Speaker 1: one of my favorite groups of people. They're a fucking
- 6:14Speaker 1: good time. The vibes were ultimate, the vibes were high,
- 6:17Speaker 1: the vibes were a little shaky two at times, but
- 6:18Speaker 1: I'm glad we all kept everything and everyone together. But
- 6:23Speaker 1: you can check out the case races on YouTube. Go
- 6:25Speaker 1: to uh It's on the Does Barceol Yak have a YouTube?
- 6:29Speaker 6: Ye?
- 6:29Speaker 1: I think the Yak has a YouTube channel. Oh yeah,
- 6:31Speaker 1: that's right, because they always based on They're always tking
- 6:33Speaker 1: about how much their screvers are growing. They just keep
- 6:36Speaker 1: showing my uh, just keep showing the old flesh light
- 6:41Speaker 1: down there. But yeah, go subscribe to their channel. You
- 6:45Speaker 1: can go check it out. It's the case Race too.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Nick is touching it. Oh my god, Nick's touching Wait
- 6:51Speaker 1: go back. Did Nick take his face paint off?
- 6:56Speaker 7: Yeah, he went after the race and washed him it off.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Huh that's will It's it's oh yeah, it is over
- 7:06Speaker 1: because he didn't put up our twenty four.
- 7:08Speaker 2: But I mean, hey, the boys showed out.
- 7:10Speaker 1: I will say that, Like we were going TOAs with
- 7:12Speaker 1: Ronan Shane, I thought Sas and Big Cat would be
- 7:15Speaker 1: up there more like they got it looks like fourth place.
- 7:18Speaker 1: I don't really know how they finished, because it seems
- 7:20Speaker 1: like it might be over now at this point. We're
- 7:23Speaker 1: watching it right now, as I was gonna say, we're
- 7:26Speaker 1: watching it now.
- 7:27Speaker 2: But I was surprised that at the finish.
- 7:30Speaker 1: I thought it'd be a lot closer with Big Cat,
- 7:33Speaker 1: with Big Cat and SaaS to stay one last time.
- 7:37Speaker 1: And I tweeted this too. I know I made the
- 7:40Speaker 1: old man proud because I've never done a case race.
- 7:43Speaker 1: I kind of held that close to the vest. I
- 7:45Speaker 1: didn't let people know about it because I didn't know
- 7:47Speaker 1: how i'd do. All I know is this. I know
- 7:48Speaker 1: I can house food, and I know I can house liquid,
- 7:51Speaker 1: whether it's alcohol, kool aid, or water, and so I
- 7:55Speaker 1: knew that, you know I can.
- 7:58Speaker 2: I can store some beer.
- 7:59Speaker 1: I just don't know how much because I've never actually
- 8:01Speaker 1: gone to the links of like a case race er.
- 8:05Speaker 1: I don't even know if I've ever put down like
- 8:08Speaker 1: double digit beers like that unless it's like you're unless
- 8:12Speaker 1: you're day drinking all day long, because usually I like
- 8:14Speaker 1: mixed stuff up or I feel like the only times
- 8:17Speaker 1: I would do it is like you're day drinking. But
- 8:19Speaker 1: when you're day drinking, there's always like jungle juice or
- 8:21Speaker 1: something being made too. So I was fired up. I
- 8:26Speaker 1: know the old man's proud, and that's all that matters.
- 8:31Speaker 1: What do we got tier talk rom comms. We talked
- 8:33Speaker 1: about that a shout out, no free shout out. We're
- 8:34Speaker 1: gonna talk about Greg Golson a little bit right now.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Greg Golsen was the one on the podcast. It was
- 8:39Speaker 1: an awesome podcast. He's one of the best speakers I
- 8:41Speaker 1: think that we've had, Like on Busting with the Boys.
- 8:44Speaker 1: The dude can tell a story. You buy him when
- 8:46Speaker 1: he when he's telling the story. He was at tight
- 8:49Speaker 1: End You. This is one of one of our three
- 8:51Speaker 1: interviews from Tighten You tight End University. Shout out the
- 8:55Speaker 1: boys for allowing us to come into the team hotel,
- 8:59Speaker 1: get a room take shout up Pete Raskin for allowing
- 9:02Speaker 1: us to use his room for our studio for this interview.
- 9:06Speaker 2: But it was really good man. We squashed beef.
- 9:09Speaker 1: We talked about when Greg Olsen really disrespected me on
- 9:13Speaker 1: the field in front of all of our colleagues after
- 9:15Speaker 1: I broke up a pass and webbed him and then
- 9:19Speaker 1: he said like, what are you the fucking four string?
- 9:22Speaker 2: Yeah, so we had to talk about that.
- 9:24Speaker 1: We relive that, which is fun, and then we talk
- 9:27Speaker 1: about the shot he took me as well on the
- 9:30Speaker 1: Dave Portnoy Show where he says, you can't like have
- 9:32Speaker 1: a podcast n be a decent ball player. How true
- 9:35Speaker 1: it is. It's up for debate. Are we talking? Are
- 9:40Speaker 1: we talking playoff? Willie? Are we talking thirteen through seventeen?
- 9:46Speaker 1: We talk in PBu, Willie. You know what I'm saying, like, Yeah,
- 9:51Speaker 1: it's debatable. If I'm on the sideline the whole time.
- 9:54Speaker 1: You know, coaches are tripping. Yeah, we all know what
- 9:58Speaker 1: happens when you put me out there on the field.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Check the tape back in Oakland a couple of years ago, Go, well,
- 10:03Speaker 1: what do I send Canadian? But no, it's a really
- 10:08Speaker 1: good interview. You guys will like it. If you're watching
- 10:10Speaker 1: right now, please subscribe. Take a minute, subscribe to the boys.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Let's jump into our favorite segment, our shoutout no Free
- 10:16Speaker 1: Shoutouts segment of the week. We'll hit that.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Taylor will jump on the pod and we will.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Do our Tier Talk, which we did our tear talk
- 10:23Speaker 1: this week on rom Coms, and we took the Tier
- 10:25Speaker 1: Talk from three to five because we felt like rom
- 10:27Speaker 1: Coms were way too hard to just put it down
- 10:31Speaker 1: on three, because you guys fire shots at us for real,
- 10:34Speaker 1: Like we leave something off that we might mention on
- 10:36Speaker 1: the pod, but you see it just on a list
- 10:37Speaker 1: on the internet. We're built for that life. But you
- 10:39Speaker 1: guys also take some big shots. So we want to
- 10:42Speaker 1: do five this time to make sure we hit on
- 10:44Speaker 1: all of it. I think the spectrum of movies, we
- 10:47Speaker 1: all said, it's a good spectrum, especially when Taylor just
- 10:50Speaker 1: comes in and fucking you guys will hear his Tier talk.
- 10:54Speaker 2: But shout out No Free shoutouts start us off. JP.
- 10:59Speaker 8: Yeah, my shout out, no free shoutout was inspired by
- 11:04Speaker 8: something that's been going on the bus, like every now
- 11:07Speaker 8: and then it happens. But if you've been watching on
- 11:10Speaker 8: the YouTube, you'll see it, like a fly flying around
- 11:12Speaker 8: in here.
- 11:13Speaker 4: And so my shout out.
- 11:14Speaker 8: No free shout out because everybody tries to swat the fly.
- 11:18Speaker 8: Is when you actually do swat and kill the fly
- 11:21Speaker 8: that's buzzing around. I feel like everybody gets hype when
- 11:24Speaker 8: you do it. And so that's it's my shout, no
- 11:27Speaker 8: free shot out. I can't wait till somebody on the
- 11:28Speaker 8: bus gets that fly.
- 11:35Speaker 2: I love you, dude, Jack, What do you got?
- 11:42Speaker 7: Mine is a very very special experience, one that hits
- 11:47Speaker 7: the brain with an extra amount of dopamine. So when
- 11:50Speaker 7: usually you forget, mostly it's just I forget. You've ordered
- 11:55Speaker 7: something online or you're getting something in the mail. Then
- 11:58Speaker 7: you walk home after a long day, whether it's on
- 12:00Speaker 7: the front porch or someone brought it in for you,
- 12:03Speaker 7: just a nice little package waiting for you. There's something
- 12:06Speaker 7: and it could just be something like routine, like you're
- 12:09Speaker 7: ordering more toothpaste, like something you don't even care about,
- 12:13Speaker 7: but for a quick second, you're like, oh shit, there
- 12:15Speaker 7: could be something really good in there. So most of
- 12:18Speaker 7: the time it sucks, but every now and again, man,
- 12:21Speaker 7: it hits so hard.
- 12:22Speaker 2: I got this hat in the middle of the day.
- 12:25Speaker 7: That I completely forgot I got and because I got
- 12:28Speaker 7: left out on the hats and their of the day,
- 12:30Speaker 7: I came prepped.
- 12:31Speaker 1: With my own. So I don't know if you can
- 12:32Speaker 1: read it.
- 12:33Speaker 7: But it doesn't even matter when you shout out, no
- 12:35Speaker 7: free shout out to that package, that little hit a
- 12:38Speaker 7: dope mean you get It's like the mail is here.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Most of the packages usually suck, but I do feel you though,
- 12:51Speaker 1: that little dopamine Russian when you see a package, a box,
- 12:56Speaker 1: A box, yeah, a box.
- 12:58Speaker 2: It's different and you're right like something.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Usually it's like, oh yeah, I forgot that I ordered
- 13:02Speaker 1: this or that second dude, and you're talking about that
- 13:05Speaker 1: split second that just that little rush you're it. Oh
- 13:11Speaker 1: my up, thank us on a journey, big dog. All right.
- 13:15Speaker 9: My shout out know I for your shout out of
- 13:17Speaker 9: the week is gonna be based off of this week,
- 13:20Speaker 9: fourth of July. I hope everyone is having fun. I
- 13:24Speaker 9: know I've been chilling for the last couple of days
- 13:26Speaker 9: while you're listening to this because we're off. But my
- 13:30Speaker 9: shout out is going to go to that fresh piece
- 13:33Speaker 9: of watermelon on the fourth of July. I feel like
- 13:36Speaker 9: it's the only time I ever eat watermelon. What's something
- 13:40Speaker 9: about it on the fourth of July is just delicious?
- 13:43Speaker 1: Do you get some cold, juicy watermelon just at on
- 13:46Speaker 1: a hot summer day? Dude?
- 13:47Speaker 2: I love how you whispering.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Yeah, it's just it's a good time. It's a good vibe.
- 13:57Speaker 1: What's so funny back there? YadA? Ask you to to see, Oh,
- 14:05Speaker 1: are you doming in on me or something?
- 14:08Speaker 8: We work him again?
- 14:09Speaker 1: But not Oh my, uh, those were good guys. You
- 14:16Speaker 1: guys did a good job. I'm honestly not that prepared.
- 14:19Speaker 1: My shout out, no free shot out, is just gonna
- 14:21Speaker 1: go to uh sandwiches. And the reason why I feel that, though,
- 14:31Speaker 1: and the reason why is I hadn't eaten all morning,
- 14:36Speaker 1: and so I went by publics and got myself a sandwich.
- 14:40Speaker 1: I don't feel like I did it, like I truly
- 14:43Speaker 1: like I needed something. Like I'm sitting there with the
- 14:45Speaker 1: worker and he's like asking what I want, and he's
- 14:48Speaker 1: like helping me figure it out. He's like, you want
- 14:49Speaker 1: provolom cheese. Ill. Yeah, that sounds good, dude, because.
- 14:52Speaker 2: I just needed calories in me, like I was.
- 14:55Speaker 1: I was hurting this morning for real, Like now like
- 14:57Speaker 1: the sickness feelings gone away and now it's like all
- 15:00Speaker 1: up in my headache.
- 15:02Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just brutal. But uh yeah, but.
- 15:11Speaker 1: My shout out, no free shout out goes to sandwiches.
- 15:14Speaker 1: And I would be specific, like I would say my
- 15:16Speaker 1: public sandwich I just got, but I feel like I
- 15:18Speaker 1: haven't done public st uh giving it the service that
- 15:22Speaker 1: it needs because I know you guys talk very highly
- 15:25Speaker 1: of pub steps. Right.
- 15:27Speaker 5: Wait, was this your first one?
- 15:28Speaker 1: First one? I know, because there's part of me too
- 15:32Speaker 1: that I wanted to call you guys and get you one,
- 15:33Speaker 1: but I just I didn't want to go through the
- 15:35Speaker 1: entire process.
- 15:38Speaker 2: I know.
- 15:39Speaker 1: I'm just trying to take you guys through, like just
- 15:42Speaker 1: the thought process of it all.
- 15:43Speaker 3: We can hear the hurt in your voice.
- 15:47Speaker 1: But shout out sandwiches, man, dude, sandwiches are good too.
- 15:53Speaker 4: Here he is coming back?
- 15:58Speaker 2: Is this sorry our second ad read? Yes? All right,
- 16:03Speaker 2: so we're.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Gonna take a quick break on this episode and bring
- 16:06Speaker 1: you guys. Revital Like shoutout Revitalite, no free shoutouts. I
- 16:10Speaker 1: need you right now, Big Dog Advance rehydration solution designed

- 16:26Speaker 1: an improved taste and texture more appealing for adults. Revitalit

- 16:34Speaker 1: you can shop like an adult and hydrate responsibly. Bar
- 16:38Speaker 1: still black label the berry frost flavor. And by the way,
- 16:42Speaker 1: Revitali did sponsor the barstool yet case race, so we
- 16:46Speaker 1: can say stuff like that. Stephen Shay actually dressed up
- 16:49Speaker 1: as the revital I bottle this one specifically drink half
- 16:54Speaker 1: at night and the other half in the morning for
- 16:55Speaker 1: optimal results. I will that is a real pro tip.
- 16:59Speaker 1: I drink just half before the case race and didn't.
- 17:03Speaker 1: I was you know, I don't know how much I
- 17:06Speaker 1: can say in this ad read, but I didn't give
- 17:07Speaker 1: my other half in the morning, which I felt like
- 17:09Speaker 1: would have really helped me out, really helped me out.
- 17:12Speaker 1: You know, when you drink that water like I'm drinking.
- 17:14Speaker 1: I want well, I want to you know, finish the ad.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Read first, make your Revitalate black label up today in
- 17:19Speaker 1: stores or online at the Barstool store and tweet at
- 17:23Speaker 1: us or tag at drink Revitalight in your morning after stories.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Uh back to the episode, which is me still talking
- 17:30Speaker 1: for a second. So this morning when I got up,
- 17:35Speaker 1: I'm just I'm doing the ole. Just turn on the
- 17:38Speaker 1: cold water, wait a few seconds, sit there and breathe
- 17:40Speaker 1: for a second. Look at yourself in the mirror, see
- 17:42Speaker 1: like the paint, the sting paint on and like wait
- 17:47Speaker 1: for it to get as cold as possible because you're
- 17:48Speaker 1: struggling and you don't have fluid around you. And then uh,
- 17:52Speaker 1: just go sideways on the faucet, just chugging water, you
- 17:56Speaker 1: know how, like you're so like hungover or dehydrated in
- 17:59Speaker 1: waters just hitting your mouth and it just seems like
- 18:02Speaker 1: it's just absorbing that shit, like if if like a
- 18:05Speaker 1: drop were to fall in the asphalt and just get
- 18:07Speaker 1: soaked up right away, Like nothing's really getting absorbed in
- 18:10Speaker 1: your body. That's where I was at. It throws, that's
- 18:15Speaker 1: a yeah, it's a shout out put them my notes
- 18:18Speaker 1: for a shout out.
- 18:20Speaker 2: With that cupping cup of water in the nights in oh.
- 18:24Speaker 1: And I'll be damned if I didn't do it that
- 18:25Speaker 1: night too, and I usually do it, but I'm like,
- 18:28Speaker 1: I was intentionally thinking, like blast a shot out, was
- 18:31Speaker 1: intentionally making me do it at night. It's fired me out,
- 18:37Speaker 1: all right. So here's the tailor. Here's the segment with
- 18:40Speaker 1: the boy Taylor. We get into some tear talk, We
- 18:43Speaker 1: have a little fun. We apologize for the uh shaky
- 18:47Speaker 1: service at times. It's tough. Man. My guy, he's out
- 18:49Speaker 1: in Canada right now. He's fucking grinding through the adversities
- 18:53Speaker 1: of technology with limited Wi Fi and everything else. But
- 18:57Speaker 1: we're trying to figure it out because we love doing
- 18:59Speaker 1: the two talk. We love the banter, and uh, you know,
- 19:02Speaker 1: the boy wants to be involved. He wish he was
- 19:05Speaker 1: on the bus. I wish he was on the bus.
- 19:06Speaker 1: I missed the big dog. But uh, this is the
- 19:08Speaker 1: segment and then we will jump into the Greg Olsen interview.
- 19:11Speaker 1: We love you Wolf.
- 19:16Speaker 10: Are we rolling or Noah, I were rolling?
- 19:19Speaker 1: We got all right, here's the same way we got
- 19:20Speaker 1: the boy, and we're doing two talk rom coms. Uh
- 19:23Speaker 1: which what you were you about to say, Taylor, Well,
- 19:25Speaker 1: I was goo to say because you were saying when
- 19:27Speaker 1: we first started talking about like before we started recording,
- 19:30Speaker 1: we started everyone's going through the.
- 19:31Speaker 6: List, and you said that rom com might be the
- 19:34Speaker 6: best genre of music or of movies. But honestly, it
- 19:39Speaker 6: seems like the most selfish because a lot of these
- 19:41Speaker 6: rom coms we're looking up aren't really rom coms.
- 19:44Speaker 4: So Tom Robs, you know what I'm.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Saying, Yeah, yeah, I feel you. I Like, I'm just
- 19:50Speaker 1: when you look at all these lists, like I'm just
- 19:52Speaker 1: all these feel good movies that has comedy and all
- 19:55Speaker 1: that you lost us.
- 19:58Speaker 4: Yeah I did, But go ahead, I touch you.
- 20:01Speaker 1: I was just gonna say, like, seeing all these movies
- 20:03Speaker 1: and they're like some of my top movies period. I'm
- 20:06Speaker 1: just saying, like I think rom com genre, by the
- 20:10Speaker 1: way these movies are falling under that category, is probably
- 20:12Speaker 1: the best movie genre out there.
- 20:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:16Speaker 6: But like one thing we said also was like the
- 20:19Speaker 6: traditional like cinematic movie line movie like how it goes
- 20:25Speaker 6: is Guy wants girl, Guy almost gets girl, Guy messes
- 20:30Speaker 6: up getting girl, guy finally gets girl. Like that's like
- 20:32Speaker 6: the steady, like easiest storyline you can kind of go
- 20:36Speaker 6: about and I feel like if you just follow that,
- 20:39Speaker 6: it's like to your rom.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Com Yeah yeah, I mean I just know what what
- 20:44Speaker 1: what competes with that genre out there?
- 20:48Speaker 4: No, it's not about competing. It is the best genre.
- 20:50Speaker 6: But if you look at do these do these movies
- 20:54Speaker 6: really belong in rom coms?
- 20:55Speaker 4: Is what we got to ask ourselves because I got.
- 20:58Speaker 6: A couple of here, I got a couple of isn't
- 21:00Speaker 6: here that I would honestly argue it's like this is
- 21:02Speaker 6: more of a comedy than it is a romantic comedy.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Yeah, but maybe that's because we saw it in like
- 21:06Speaker 1: high school, and all we did is laugh and think
- 21:08Speaker 1: it was just fucking hilarious and quoted. That's a That's
- 21:11Speaker 1: a great point, Like as we get older than we
- 21:14Speaker 1: realize like, oh shit, that's a rom com Because you
- 21:16Speaker 1: grow up like as a dude, you're thinking like you
- 21:18Speaker 1: you get made fun of, like, oh you like roalm coms?
- 21:20Speaker 1: Like no, the fuck, I don't type of thing. But
- 21:23Speaker 1: we've been laughing at rom comms.
- 21:24Speaker 4: Our whole life, our whole lives, dude.
- 21:27Speaker 1: And now I think we're just learning that all these
- 21:28Speaker 1: movies are are rom coms.
- 21:31Speaker 4: Yeah, because you kind of think like like love.
- 21:34Speaker 6: Actually, you'd be like that's a wrong com when really
- 21:36Speaker 6: it's not a romantic movie with some comedic release.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Yeah yeah.
- 21:42Speaker 6: High in high school, you'd be like, man, you love
- 21:44Speaker 6: movies like well, actually I'd be like, no, I'm not.
- 21:46Speaker 4: I am mentual like that.
- 21:48Speaker 1: And now now I'm ready to throw in love. Actually,
- 21:50Speaker 1: any holiday season, bro, any Christmas season comes, I'm throwing
- 21:53Speaker 1: on love.
- 21:54Speaker 6: Actually, oh bro, cancel cancer Christmas. I'm putting nothing on.
- 21:59Speaker 1: Anything we got will wear an eyeliner. I hear you, fucking.
- 22:03Speaker 4: Hey, you do look see it?
- 22:05Speaker 1: Can you see?
- 22:06Speaker 11: Uh?
- 22:06Speaker 1: The eyeliner from your phone? No?
- 22:08Speaker 6: I saw pictures though, and I thought, you know what
- 22:10Speaker 6: I first time, before I can realize it was the eyeliner.
- 22:12Speaker 6: I was like, damn, that boy's eyes looten crazy right now.
- 22:16Speaker 6: And then some people were pointing out like eyelighter. I
- 22:18Speaker 6: was like, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, it's paint.
- 22:22Speaker 1: I just can't like, I can't get the I keep
- 22:25Speaker 1: trying to rub it out, but I get soap in
- 22:26Speaker 1: my eyes because you got to like you soap to
- 22:28Speaker 1: get it off.
- 22:28Speaker 4: Bro, How did it go yesterday? Dude? For those of
- 22:32Speaker 4: you watching right now? What today's Today's today? Thursday?
- 22:34Speaker 1: Today is Wednesday?
- 22:37Speaker 4: No, it since Thursday.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Dog, We're back to dropping one a week, so they're Wednesday.
- 22:41Speaker 4: I know today recording right now? It's Thursday.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, day after the yes, day.
- 22:46Speaker 6: After that, and we're dropping Wedness day and this is
- 22:49Speaker 6: the this is uh what pot is this one?
- 22:51Speaker 2: One one sixty something and who's on it? Greg Olsen?
- 22:58Speaker 4: Oh that's gonna be I can't wait.
- 23:02Speaker 1: Guy.
- 23:02Speaker 6: I started listening, no joke, like I don't really listen
- 23:04Speaker 6: to our pods because I'm usually and then but I
- 23:06Speaker 6: listened to the brianer lecer one. I was so badly
- 23:10Speaker 6: I was there to talk about Arizona football because he
- 23:12Speaker 6: was bringing up dudes talking about guys going.
- 23:15Speaker 4: To Sowaro High School like that one. Oh no, but
- 23:20Speaker 4: chaperone a little bit, like that'd been cool to talk about.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Yeah. I told him afterwards that, uh, that you went
- 23:25Speaker 1: to that high school and he said, oh, that's one
- 23:26Speaker 1: of the best high schools in the state. And then
- 23:29Speaker 1: because he was explaining that the whole playoff championship thing
- 23:33Speaker 1: that you've you've told me about, like.
- 23:35Speaker 4: Yeah, which is kind of bullshit, Like the way he didn't.
- 23:37Speaker 6: He didn't say like he played it very politically correct
- 23:40Speaker 6: on how Arizona runs the state championships.
- 23:42Speaker 4: For the record, they didn't do that when I was
- 23:44Speaker 4: in high school, but like they.
- 23:46Speaker 6: Do do some bullshit where it's like the best team
- 23:49Speaker 6: in every division goes and plays a playoffs and that's
- 23:52Speaker 6: the real state champion, like the state state champion. And
- 23:54Speaker 6: then they have all the guys that, like the second
- 23:56Speaker 6: place guys fight it out for like their their division
- 24:00Speaker 6: state championship, which is kind of I guess it's constant both,
- 24:04Speaker 6: but I kind of like it the way it used to.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Be, right because there's one state champion that can win
- 24:09Speaker 1: that's not really the state champion because they didn't.
- 24:12Speaker 2: They weren't in with the bracket of the best schools,
- 24:14Speaker 2: right right?
- 24:17Speaker 4: Who is that my daughter? They're trying to do. Let
- 24:20Speaker 4: two literally trying to just get with them, hi, guys,
- 24:24Speaker 4: but to come out doing a podcast. I'll be right there, Okay,
- 24:28Speaker 4: just walk them out, do you guys?
- 24:30Speaker 1: Who wants to start off for the rom coms.
- 24:32Speaker 6: Manless year talking about Yeah?
- 24:36Speaker 2: Yeah, go ahead. Are you guys all doing one together?
- 24:40Speaker 1: Will all right?
- 24:41Speaker 5: Collaboration?
- 24:42Speaker 1: All right?
- 24:43Speaker 2: Started off man, your tier always go from five.
- 24:47Speaker 4: We we struggled before you go. Are we doing? Are
- 24:51Speaker 4: we doing one word? Are we doing a one word
- 24:53Speaker 4: deal after.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Sea?
- 25:00Speaker 7: All right, all right, coach sancer, But uh, I guess
- 25:03Speaker 7: what we're settling with? Crazy stupid love. I kind of
- 25:05Speaker 7: do that in as a wrench, but it's a fire one.
- 25:10Speaker 3: We did not discuss that one.
- 25:13Speaker 1: You all didn't agree on that original one was a
- 25:15Speaker 1: couple's retreat.
- 25:17Speaker 2: But then I thought crazy stupid love.
- 25:19Speaker 7: That whole interaction and in relationship with Steve Carell and
- 25:22Speaker 7: Ryan Gosling, it so fucking good.
- 25:24Speaker 4: So I I think I'm doing my team of favor.
- 25:27Speaker 4: But JP hit us with number four because I was
- 25:30Speaker 4: that was your.
- 25:30Speaker 1: That was number four.
- 25:34Speaker 5: Number four.
- 25:35Speaker 8: We got a classic Ryan Reynolds going classic holiday one,
- 25:39Speaker 8: just friends, the ultimate mixture of comedy and really that's
- 25:44Speaker 8: a good.
- 25:49Speaker 1: Our.
- 25:53Speaker 9: Number three on the list is gonna be Fool's Gold,
- 25:57Speaker 9: featuring Matthew McConaughey and a young Kevin Hart actually is
- 26:02Speaker 9: in that movie Bunny.
- 26:04Speaker 1: It was his name, Bunny, Yeah, Bad Bunny Bad. Bunny
- 26:09Speaker 1: two was a collaborative one. All three of us agreed.
- 26:13Speaker 7: I love you man, Guy on Guy rom com it
- 26:17Speaker 7: just hits different and then yeah, and then one, which is,
- 26:22Speaker 7: without a doubt, the greatest romantic comedy.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Movie ever created. She's out of my league and I'll
- 26:27Speaker 1: die on that hill.
- 26:30Speaker 4: Phenomenal is my word.
- 26:37Speaker 1: My word with that list happy thanks, Like I want
- 26:45Speaker 1: to elaborate, but I know we can only say one word.
- 26:48Speaker 4: What's your one word? My one word will be okay?
- 26:59Speaker 2: Are you cut out? Would you say.
- 27:03Speaker 4: Okay?
- 27:03Speaker 1: That's the only part I don't like about the one
- 27:05Speaker 1: word thing is I do want to talk about it.
- 27:11Speaker 1: How about uh, we'll go, we'll do ours and then
- 27:13Speaker 1: after all the one words, then after everybody goes, we
- 27:16Speaker 1: open up the floor. I think that's I think that's
- 27:18Speaker 1: a great idea, all right, And I loved there's a
- 27:21Speaker 1: couple on that that y'all said fool's gold. That one
- 27:24Speaker 1: slipped up under me a little bit. I have seven,
- 27:30Speaker 1: but I will I know, I'll eliminate a couple. Man,
- 27:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna go my Tier five, so I don't know
- 27:47Speaker 1: which two to take out. I'm going to take out
- 27:49Speaker 1: forty year old virgin because I kind of agree with
- 27:51Speaker 1: you onlike that was It's all right, It's it's an
- 27:54Speaker 1: honorable mention. I'm gonna squeak them in there somehow.
- 27:57Speaker 3: It was like one of the most.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Dude yeah, And I won't continue to elaborate on it,
- 28:03Speaker 1: even though it's one of my most quoted movies growing
- 28:05Speaker 1: up in.
- 28:05Speaker 2: High school, bro and in college.
- 28:08Speaker 1: But I'm gonna go my my m okay, I'm gonna go.
- 28:18Speaker 1: My Tier five is gonna be Adam Sandler Fifty First Dates.
- 28:26Speaker 1: I love how he gets Drew Barrymore to fall in
- 28:29Speaker 1: love with him. He's got to get creative every time
- 28:31Speaker 1: on a date, and it just keeps you like connected
- 28:34Speaker 1: and in it because while you're watching the movie, I
- 28:36Speaker 1: think it's one of those movies where you're just you're
- 28:38Speaker 1: putting yourself in that situation so much as like, man,
- 28:40Speaker 1: how do you even handle that? But that's my Tier
- 28:44Speaker 1: five fifty First Dates. My Tier four is going to
- 28:48Speaker 1: be How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days. I
- 28:56Speaker 1: love that one. I think How to Lose a Guy
- 28:59Speaker 1: in Ten Days is one of the ones where I
- 29:00Speaker 1: don't think I ever watched it in theaters or have
- 29:04Speaker 1: rented rented the movie to.
- 29:05Speaker 2: Go watch it.
- 29:06Speaker 1: I always just see it on TV and I watch
- 29:08Speaker 1: it all the time anytime it's on, I'm like, oh,
- 29:09Speaker 1: this is gonna be awesome.
- 29:12Speaker 2: My Tier three.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Is another Matthew McConaughey. As a matter of fact, it's
- 29:19Speaker 1: Matthew McConaughey, the King of rom coms. He had to
- 29:22Speaker 1: stop doing.
- 29:26Speaker 4: They wouldn't let him do anything else.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Really, And I agree with Taylor too, Like Ben Steeller
- 29:31Speaker 1: is another he He's a good rom com guy. Love
- 29:34Speaker 1: him in the rom Com game Meet the Parents, shout out, Settle,
- 29:36Speaker 1: shut up. But my tier what am I on?
- 29:40Speaker 2: My Tier three? Yeah, another Matthew McConaughey movie.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Failure to launch the same kind of situation as How
- 29:46Speaker 1: to Lose a Guy in Ten Days. I'm always watching
- 29:49Speaker 1: it on TV. Bro him living with his parents Terry
- 29:52Speaker 1: Bradshaw and like going paintballing and like how they hire
- 29:56Speaker 1: her to get him out of the house. Like I
- 29:58Speaker 1: just I think that's an incredible movie.
- 30:00Speaker 2: My Tier two.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Is crazy stupid love. I agree with you, guys. I
- 30:11Speaker 1: think it's a phenomenal movie. Like you get Steve Carrell,
- 30:15Speaker 1: what's his name, the handsome boy Ryan Gosling, Like they
- 30:19Speaker 1: crush it, dude, and Ryan Gosling fires you up to
- 30:21Speaker 1: like want to go like take care of yourself and
- 30:22Speaker 1: be a be like a guy who can date and
- 30:26Speaker 1: the dude sume with no socks on either, Like, Okay,
- 30:30Speaker 1: you're pulling that shit off my tier one, and to me,
- 30:34Speaker 1: it's fun.
- 30:35Speaker 2: It's close to the god tier of wedding crashers.
- 30:38Speaker 1: But the tier one for me is forgetting Sarah Marshall,
- 30:41Speaker 1: and it's it's extremely close to wedding crashers. We all
- 30:44Speaker 1: decided before this we're gonna do five tiers and we're
- 30:46Speaker 1: gonna leave wedding crashers out because in our opinion, unanimously,
- 30:50Speaker 1: it's gonna be seated at god teer. But yes, forgetting
- 30:55Speaker 1: Sarah Marshall, I think it's one of the best, dude,
- 30:57Speaker 1: very highly quoted throughout my entire life. It's just one
- 31:00Speaker 1: of those bangers, dude. So forgetting Sarah Marshall, those are
- 31:02Speaker 1: my tears, Taylor, what's your word?
- 31:10Speaker 4: Great? Mmm?
- 31:16Speaker 5: Solid mm hmm.
- 31:20Speaker 1: Classics. Here we go special, Let's go golf Cloud, golf Cloud.
- 31:33Speaker 1: I feel like somebody is got to always like just
- 31:35Speaker 1: throw something in there that's like all right, last but
- 31:38Speaker 1: not least.
- 31:41Speaker 6: Hey, do you guys feel like there's a level of
- 31:43Speaker 6: like a nervousness when we give out our list, like
- 31:47Speaker 6: we're so we're all like we're afraid to be judged
- 31:49Speaker 6: by the books.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure, Absolutely for sure.
- 31:54Speaker 4: Here I am living in the nerves. Okay. I like
- 31:59Speaker 4: to start off my list.
- 32:01Speaker 6: Will can have his possible two in there, and like
- 32:03Speaker 6: to just give a quick little deal on this. I
- 32:05Speaker 6: tried to go as much as I thought was romantic
- 32:11Speaker 6: comedy aside from my first one, because.
- 32:13Speaker 3: It's just too good.
- 32:14Speaker 6: If we were going how people the general public looks
- 32:17Speaker 6: at romantic comedies, this would be much higher. But my
- 32:21Speaker 6: tier five is going to be forgetting Sarah Marshall. I
- 32:25Speaker 6: agree with Will one hundred percent. It's close to God's tier.
- 32:30Speaker 6: The reason why I didn't make it any higher is
- 32:34Speaker 6: only because I just as when I saw as a child,
- 32:40Speaker 6: I didn't resonate the rom com with it. I literally
- 32:43Speaker 6: just thought to myself, what a hilarious movie. And oh,
- 32:46Speaker 6: by the way, Mila Kunez is a fox like that.
- 32:49Speaker 6: That's what I figured out my Tier four, and I
- 32:54Speaker 6: feel like a lot of people forgot about this one
- 33:00Speaker 6: is the Parent Trap, a classic Lindsay Lohan twins tricking
- 33:06Speaker 6: their parents and a refalling in love.
- 33:08Speaker 4: It's a story that can live and infamy. It's unbelievable.
- 33:14Speaker 6: My Tier three, who is probably the Mount Rushmore of
- 33:19Speaker 6: rom coms, like Will has talked about, is going to
- 33:22Speaker 6: be Ghosts of Christmas Past with Matthew McConaughey.
- 33:27Speaker 12: Phenomenal movie. Amma Stone was incredible. He is like a
- 33:33Speaker 12: playboy camera photo guy. He's trying to figure out who
- 33:36Speaker 12: he is. It's unbelievable. It's a movie of also finding
- 33:40Speaker 12: yourself and falling in love.
- 33:47Speaker 4: My Tier two and.
- 33:50Speaker 6: I can put this movie on any day of the
- 33:52Speaker 6: week and it's so good. And it's been at a
- 33:54Speaker 6: couple of lets in both of y'all's list. Is crazy
- 33:57Speaker 6: stupid love.
- 33:58Speaker 1: It's just up there.
- 34:00Speaker 2: I was wondering if you're gonna put that Tier one.
- 34:02Speaker 2: I know that's one of your things.
- 34:04Speaker 4: Thank you, and you know me well, and uh, it's
- 34:07Speaker 4: so good, dude.
- 34:08Speaker 6: The it's like the layering two of all the different
- 34:11Speaker 6: love triangles that are kind of in there, like the
- 34:14Speaker 6: Babysitters in love with Correl, Correl's in love with the
- 34:18Speaker 6: It's just kind of everybody's intertwined. It's really cool. It's
- 34:21Speaker 6: a great movie. I fucking love it, dude, and it's
- 34:24Speaker 6: the epitome of a wrong com That and this next one,
- 34:27Speaker 6: which is my tier one.
- 34:29Speaker 3: The boys know.
- 34:29Speaker 4: I love to get tropical.
- 34:31Speaker 6: Matthew McConaughey deserves to be at the top, and Kevin
- 34:34Speaker 6: Hart before he was anybody.
- 34:36Speaker 4: Fool's Gold is so much.
- 34:39Speaker 6: And I did a crazy stupid love was my number
- 34:41Speaker 6: one until about six months ago. And then I, for
- 34:45Speaker 6: whatever reason, I was getting an IV. I was getting
- 34:47Speaker 6: some na d and I saw that on Netflix and
- 34:50Speaker 6: I popped it on. I watched it six days in
- 34:52Speaker 6: a row.
- 34:52Speaker 4: Exat that fucking good. I love that movie?
- 34:56Speaker 1: So good? Is Matthee talking Taylor? Can you hear us?
- 35:03Speaker 2: Come back to you? Come back to us?
- 35:06Speaker 1: Can you hear us? Did I lose you? Yes? Can
- 35:12Speaker 1: you hear Taylor? Taylor were?
- 35:17Speaker 2: Did I lose you?
- 35:18Speaker 1: Yes? Can you hear us? Yeah?
- 35:21Speaker 4: I can hear you?
- 35:21Speaker 8: Now?
- 35:22Speaker 1: All right? Are we thirty?
- 35:26Speaker 4: Where Where did I lose you?
- 35:28Speaker 1: I started to uh, I was accidentally cutting you off
- 35:33Speaker 1: because I was saying, like, how good is Matthew mcconaugheyste
- 35:36Speaker 1: and in Fool's Gold?
- 35:38Speaker 4: Oh, it's incredible, dude, incredible? All right, some kid, if
- 35:44Speaker 4: you can hear me, I don't. I hate the lag.
- 35:46Speaker 6: This is why we don't do podcasts on Zoom. But
- 35:48Speaker 6: some kid with the Texas is a punter and she's
- 35:53Speaker 6: like McConaughey is always around, and I was like, Oh,
- 35:55Speaker 6: what's he like in the one word do you describe?
- 35:58Speaker 6: The first word to you use to describe was smelly.
- 36:02Speaker 6: That's tough because I know because he doesn't.
- 36:08Speaker 4: That's crazy.
- 36:08Speaker 1: He showers like two or three times a day. I
- 36:10Speaker 1: think like he doesn't do uh whatever it's called, like
- 36:13Speaker 1: he doesn't believe in it or something. What does he like?
- 36:19Speaker 4: Rustafarian?
- 36:21Speaker 11: I don't know.
- 36:21Speaker 1: Yeah, we need to get in on some duke cannon,
- 36:23Speaker 1: but I don't think he uses product like that for real.
- 36:27Speaker 1: All right, boys started back for your words? O kind somebody,
- 36:37Speaker 1: somebody get a word. What do we want? I don't
- 36:39Speaker 1: know what we all?
- 36:40Speaker 2: You each do, individual.
- 36:42Speaker 5: Words, predictable, decent.
- 36:56Speaker 2: I hate how he gets keeps getting chopped on the screen.
- 36:59Speaker 1: H bridge, Oh Mid, what we're talking? Mid?
- 37:14Speaker 2: I think, uh, now we can open up the floor
- 37:16Speaker 2: and talk about all of our tears.
- 37:20Speaker 1: Parent trap bro.
- 37:24Speaker 4: Bro, I can't hear.
- 37:25Speaker 6: All I heard was three words and you guys ship
- 37:28Speaker 6: on me, and then I just heard parent trap so
- 37:30Speaker 6: I have no idea what's going on?
- 37:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I said, uh so JP said predictable.
- 37:37Speaker 4: Yeah I heard that. No, du you don't have to
- 37:39Speaker 4: repeat that. You don't. You don't have to repeat the
- 37:40Speaker 4: meaning words.
- 37:41Speaker 11: I heard them all.
- 37:43Speaker 4: And then I go about what was your word? What
- 37:46Speaker 4: was your word?
- 37:47Speaker 1: Mid Oh?
- 37:49Speaker 4: Dude, you guys are so dude.
- 37:50Speaker 2: I think you. I think your top two are really good.
- 37:52Speaker 1: Bro, you threw me for a fucking loop with those
- 37:56Speaker 1: bottom three, like putting.
- 37:58Speaker 2: Forgetting Sir must so five. It's like that.
- 38:00Speaker 1: I just have bias in that. So I'm like, all right,
- 38:02Speaker 1: let's see what this next two will be above that?
- 38:04Speaker 1: And to put parent Trapp and what was it? Go
- 38:07Speaker 1: to Christmas Past?
- 38:09Speaker 4: Great movie?
- 38:10Speaker 1: Is that what it is? Go Christmas Pass ahead of
- 38:13Speaker 1: forgetting Sarah Marshall And just like in the top five,
- 38:16Speaker 1: in the top five year wrong go.
- 38:20Speaker 4: West. I can't. I don't want to deal with this
- 38:22Speaker 4: because it's number one.
- 38:23Speaker 1: I can't.
- 38:24Speaker 4: I can't hear you guys. My WiFi is too bad.
- 38:26Speaker 1: I know.
- 38:27Speaker 2: That's why I do miss the vibes on the bus.
- 38:29Speaker 1: Come home.
- 38:31Speaker 4: Dude, you guys forget how good parent trap was you
- 38:33Speaker 4: know what it is? You guys are so fucking basic.
- 38:36Speaker 6: First, I'm not gonna say you guys, I'm gonna start
- 38:39Speaker 6: with will.
- 38:40Speaker 4: I'm gonna go I'm gonna actually start with.
- 38:41Speaker 2: The boys in the back.
- 38:42Speaker 4: I know what you guys said was a reflection of
- 38:45Speaker 4: how I reacted to your guys.
- 38:47Speaker 6: So there's not just I I forgive you will You
- 38:51Speaker 6: you just a flip flop that you're like a you're
- 38:53Speaker 6: a flapjack bro, like you fucking you have this whole
- 38:58Speaker 6: uh speak your truth day on our teer talk last week,
- 39:01Speaker 6: and then.
- 39:01Speaker 4: You want you going ham on the boy on Twitter.
- 39:05Speaker 4: So you're just trying to get close with your comments.
- 39:07Speaker 1: It's hard and I do want to I would like
- 39:10Speaker 1: to talk about that. What's hard about doing this, like
- 39:12Speaker 1: on Zoom is when you did your tear talk, I
- 39:15Speaker 1: was thinking those things that I was I tweeted about,
- 39:18Speaker 1: but it's you only had like a few minutes, so
- 39:21Speaker 1: I didn't.
- 39:22Speaker 2: It's like you don't know what vibe you.
- 39:23Speaker 1: Want to go for, Like we can't sit here and
- 39:25Speaker 1: banter back and forth because we don't have a whole
- 39:27Speaker 1: lot of time. So and it was your first time,
- 39:29Speaker 1: it was your first time zooming in. So I was
- 39:31Speaker 1: trying to make it go as smoothly as possible. And
- 39:34Speaker 1: so I.
- 39:36Speaker 2: No, I didn't lie to your face.
- 39:38Speaker 1: I'm thinking, like the boy, we just we just got
- 39:40Speaker 1: done doing tight and you Nascar like we're all getting
- 39:42Speaker 1: together for the first time.
- 39:44Speaker 2: So I wanted to, you know, be as.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Like, like you know, be a boy.
- 39:49Speaker 10: I might never come back to Canada. Do not if
- 39:51Speaker 10: everyone fear soon master? No, but but you really I quit, Bro.
- 40:00Speaker 10: There's the yeah jap just started to lean down.
- 40:03Speaker 2: There's the title.
- 40:05Speaker 4: I'm fucking done.
- 40:06Speaker 1: But all the movies we talked about, bro, like listen,
- 40:10Speaker 1: I think parent Trap is a good movie. I'm just
- 40:12Speaker 1: talking like top five, Like, were there something that we
- 40:15Speaker 1: were saying that You're like, I would use that my
- 40:16Speaker 1: top five. I'm just gonna try and be like I'm
- 40:18Speaker 1: gonna try and pick something different, not like you want
- 40:21Speaker 1: to be different, but you're just gonna like play a
- 40:22Speaker 1: different game.
- 40:23Speaker 4: No, because so I.
- 40:25Speaker 6: Said the whole time, like these movies I'm putting out
- 40:28Speaker 6: are like true rom coms, and you guys are you
- 40:31Speaker 6: guys are putting out.
- 40:33Speaker 4: Comedies in my opinion, which is fun. They're gonna be
- 40:36Speaker 4: they're gonna be better received.
- 40:39Speaker 6: But you know, your boy, your boy, I mean boy,
- 40:43Speaker 6: your boys did about rom com since like I was twelve.
- 40:45Speaker 4: I'm about the rom com life, dude. I I was
- 40:48Speaker 4: all about it still am.
- 40:49Speaker 1: So you you would prefer more like family fun rom
- 40:53Speaker 1: coms and just like more of like you know, like.
- 40:58Speaker 6: Parent Trap for me is because there's a level of
- 41:03Speaker 6: nostalgia there, like there's better movies out there.
- 41:05Speaker 3: I get it.
- 41:05Speaker 6: But I remember being a kid watching that movie and
- 41:09Speaker 6: you see the parents are all broken up, and your boy,
- 41:13Speaker 6: when I was that age watching that movie, my parents are.
- 41:16Speaker 4: Just recently broken up. You're looky thinking like, you know,
- 41:18Speaker 4: if I had explain, I could be bringing these two
- 41:20Speaker 4: back together. And so there's like a level of like,
- 41:22Speaker 4: oh damn that movie was awesome. Damn it, I get
- 41:26Speaker 4: to hear what I'm saying.
- 41:27Speaker 1: No, I was here, I heard all of it. I
- 41:29Speaker 1: thought that was really honestly well said.
- 41:31Speaker 2: I feel like that suld have been I feel of
- 41:34Speaker 2: it was it was.
- 41:35Speaker 4: It was.
- 41:38Speaker 1: Well, hey, now you have it, yeah, I think I
- 41:41Speaker 1: mean no, I mean see, that's like that's it. That's
- 41:44Speaker 1: you living in your truth. Like I like, I still
- 41:46Speaker 1: have my one word or whatever, because it just threw
- 41:48Speaker 1: me for a loop. But if you would have presented
- 41:49Speaker 1: it that way, you win.
- 41:50Speaker 4: You win me.
- 41:54Speaker 1: Can you not hear me?
- 41:56Speaker 4: My WiFi is so bad? I just heard at the end,
- 41:58Speaker 4: I heard you won me over with that. All the
- 42:00Speaker 4: other words he said doesn't matter because I know I
- 42:02Speaker 4: got you.
- 42:02Speaker 2: We just get a shout Yeah, Hey, what's your shout out?
- 42:05Speaker 2: No free shout out of the week?
- 42:08Speaker 4: Do you guys? Are you guys hearing every you know
- 42:10Speaker 4: I'm saying? Or is this a wash at this point?
- 42:13Speaker 1: I mean I'm hearing like your video will be choppy,
- 42:17Speaker 1: but I can hear you pretty fluid.
- 42:22Speaker 6: I'll do my shout out of you shot out real
- 42:23Speaker 6: quick you no, Yeah, my shoutout of the week.
- 42:28Speaker 4: Uh, it's a special moment. It's a special moment in
- 42:31Speaker 4: my life with my kid. Yesterday win Rebel the wand
- 42:37Speaker 4: was eating some food and she looks up at me
- 42:39Speaker 4: and she goes, hey, Daddy, this food is sick. And
- 42:43Speaker 4: I'm like what She goes, yeah, it's good.
- 42:45Speaker 6: And then later in the day she was like, uh,
- 42:48Speaker 6: called me dude, and I was like, damn, this kid's
- 42:51Speaker 6: really talking to me, like talking like me she's she's
- 42:54Speaker 6: she's doing the things.
- 42:55Speaker 4: She's saying the things I say.
- 42:56Speaker 6: So I so my shout out for shout out of
- 42:59Speaker 6: the week, the go to when you see your kid
- 43:02Speaker 6: finally like mirror imaging you and doing the same things
- 43:06Speaker 6: that you've done. Like I say, dude, sick and bro,
- 43:09Speaker 6: and now she's saying dude sick and bro and it's
- 43:11Speaker 6: super rad.
- 43:12Speaker 4: That's my shout out.
- 43:14Speaker 1: That's a wholesome shout out.
- 43:15Speaker 2: That's a wholesome shout out.
- 43:17Speaker 1: I'm really doing my best to temper down, like I
- 43:20Speaker 1: want to have more of an emotion, but I don't
- 43:21Speaker 1: want to come off with him thinking that I'm trying
- 43:23Speaker 1: to over correct the movie talk, because I think that's
- 43:25Speaker 1: a really good shout out.
- 43:28Speaker 4: Hey, listen, I stand by all my movies, affict.
- 43:33Speaker 1: I know, I mean you, I mean you should. You
- 43:36Speaker 1: can't help what the people say. Like sometimes you just
- 43:38Speaker 1: got to stand up there strong. Do you let them
- 43:40Speaker 1: stones hitch in the mouth. But all right, man, well
- 43:46Speaker 1: we love you, we miss you, We wish you're here
- 43:48Speaker 1: on the bus. Love you boys, Boston Taylor.
- 43:54Speaker 2: You know, my man just hates it hate not hates
- 43:57Speaker 2: being in Canada, but hates that I can't.
- 44:01Speaker 1: Not being like hates that he can't like be in
- 44:03Speaker 1: this moment because he's getting like the tough WiFi and
- 44:07Speaker 1: he's got to be frustrated.
- 44:09Speaker 2: He sees the boys with the hats on some of
- 44:12Speaker 2: the boys, some of the boys.
- 44:13Speaker 1: Yeah, we do.
- 44:17Speaker 11: We passed the segment off.
- 44:19Speaker 2: Now, how do we?
- 44:22Speaker 1: Yeah? So, uh, we just talked to Taylor on the
- 44:28Speaker 1: tear Talk. Our tear talk was rom coms, a lot
- 44:31Speaker 1: of debate going on. I think it is a very
- 44:33Speaker 1: debatable topic too. Uh Yeah. His bottom three really threw
- 44:38Speaker 1: me for a loop. Like the reason he loves parent
- 44:41Speaker 1: Trap I think is very good. But if like you're
- 44:44Speaker 1: objectively looking at these movies, and that's what I'm trying
- 44:47Speaker 1: to say, I'm trying to stay objective. And I felt
- 44:48Speaker 1: like that was a mid tier talk, you know what
- 44:50Speaker 1: I'm saying. Yeah, Like, in my opinion, I thought that
- 44:55Speaker 1: was like a mid list With all the movies we
- 44:57Speaker 1: rattled off.
- 44:58Speaker 7: He gave us an okay, and his top two movies
- 45:01Speaker 7: were in our top five. So I think the back
- 45:03Speaker 7: of the bus is pretty upset with him.
- 45:05Speaker 2: That's why we were It felt personal.
- 45:09Speaker 4: He took two of our.
- 45:10Speaker 2: Movies, so you guys like Taylor's top five lists? No,
- 45:15Speaker 2: I like his top three.
- 45:18Speaker 7: I think, yeah, the Christmas movie in Parent Trap don't
- 45:21Speaker 7: belong in the top five.
- 45:23Speaker 2: So you like this tier one, two, and five? What
- 45:25Speaker 2: was forgetting sir Marshall's five?
- 45:27Speaker 4: Yeah, and we didn't have forgetting Sarah Marshall. But ours
- 45:30Speaker 4: just a collective.
- 45:31Speaker 5: List, he says.
- 45:32Speaker 1: The forgetting Sarah Marshall's like more of a funny movie.
- 45:34Speaker 1: But it's like he gets broken up with like it's
- 45:37Speaker 1: all it's all about his heart being broken and he's
- 45:40Speaker 1: finding love the entire movie, and it's just really funny.
- 45:43Speaker 2: Like it's more of like adult humor.
- 45:45Speaker 1: That's why I feel like he might like more of
- 45:47Speaker 1: like the family humor, because that's those are the movies
- 45:49Speaker 1: he was picking. But you guys are saying your word
- 45:52Speaker 1: only had to do with like you you felt like
- 45:54Speaker 1: it was personal, so you weren't. But then you also
- 45:56Speaker 1: don't like his list, So.
- 45:57Speaker 4: I don't our words also reflect his list?
- 46:00Speaker 1: Okay you feel that way?
- 46:04Speaker 2: I do, uh.
- 46:08Speaker 1: Yeah, And I you know, I see why he's up
- 46:10Speaker 1: in arms about the the what I was saying about
- 46:12Speaker 1: his tier list last week. But some people a lot
- 46:16Speaker 1: of people were rocking with his lists. You got these, Yeah,
- 46:22Speaker 1: so many great realm coms. Yeah, hitch fucking banger dude, obviously,
- 46:29Speaker 1: And I took out my other one. I took out
- 46:30Speaker 1: that I wasn't gonna continue to say in there, but
- 46:33Speaker 1: was the breakup only because the breakup to me is
- 46:36Speaker 1: an awesome movie, like it's it's up there for me
- 46:40Speaker 1: on the list, but it's so real that there's also
- 46:45Speaker 1: some vibes of like, fuck man, they don't figure it out,
- 46:48Speaker 1: you know what I mean. It's not like a happy ending.
- 46:51Speaker 1: They see each other and they become better people as individuals.
- 46:54Speaker 1: But the Jennifer Anison and Vince von didn't didn't land
- 46:57Speaker 1: the plane.
- 46:58Speaker 5: That really spoke to you, didn't. I thought you're gonna
- 47:04Speaker 5: start tearing up, and then.
- 47:07Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, Yeah, no, I feel you
- 47:09Speaker 1: like the video games and wait, well, uh, where's my lemons? Hey?
- 47:16Speaker 1: Baby wanted lemons? Baby got lemons? No, baby wanted six lemons.
- 47:20Speaker 1: And then they kind of get in a fighter like
- 47:22Speaker 1: wanting to do the dishes. I don't want to do
- 47:23Speaker 1: the dishes, or like I want you to want to
- 47:26Speaker 1: do the dishes. It's like the dilemma that guys and
- 47:29Speaker 1: girls go through all the time, especially like in the
- 47:31Speaker 1: married life, because the fact baby I don't want to
- 47:37Speaker 1: do that, and she's like, neither do I Like, all right,
- 47:41Speaker 1: well then don't do it. Neither of us don't have
- 47:43Speaker 1: to do it. Well, something's gotta somebody's gotta do it.
- 47:46Speaker 1: Like all right, fine, I'll take out the trash. But
- 47:51Speaker 1: uh yeah, we just finished here talk. We are going
- 47:53Speaker 1: to jump into uh I guess greg Olsen. Now we
- 47:56Speaker 1: gotta go back into the intro for real. But let's
- 47:58Speaker 1: we're gonna get into greg Olsen. Subscribing for watching right now.

- 49:56Speaker 3: feel good that we're sitting here.

- 50:00Speaker 11: about now. I've told them. I've told the story a couple.
- 50:02Speaker 1: Of times with the boys, but it was like one
- 50:04Speaker 1: of my first games starting and taking over the job.
- 50:08Speaker 1: And I don't know whether we were in man and
- 50:11Speaker 1: Man or spot drop or whatever. You just hooked up
- 50:13Speaker 1: right over the middle, Cam trust to throw you the
- 50:16Speaker 1: ball and I come around.
- 50:17Speaker 11: And PBu boy gets the PBu I do.
- 50:19Speaker 1: The incomplete pass thing and I don't know if you remember,
- 50:22Speaker 1: but I web you there's this inside joke.
- 50:25Speaker 3: You Webb Spider Man.
- 50:28Speaker 1: So if you like, if a coach is saying something
- 50:30Speaker 1: in the meetings and the coach is wrong or let's
- 50:31Speaker 1: say you get an answer wrong, the boys web you.
- 50:34Speaker 1: They're like, you know, you're like doing too much or
- 50:35Speaker 1: you get the answer wrong. So there's like this running
- 50:37Speaker 1: joke around our facility, like webbing. People got it, especially
- 50:42Speaker 1: from Hey comp if you make a play like you
- 50:44Speaker 1: should web whoever it is you make a play on.
- 50:46Speaker 3: And so I was like I didn't know this part
- 50:47Speaker 3: of the story, So I don't apologize now.
- 50:49Speaker 1: Yeah, so we break up the pass, I web you
- 50:52Speaker 1: or whatever, and uh, Greg turns around and looks at me.
- 50:56Speaker 3: He goes, who are you?
- 50:57Speaker 1: What are you like fourth string?
- 50:59Speaker 3: As he's going by, and All is like, hey, I'll
- 51:02Speaker 3: work for this spot, man.
- 51:03Speaker 1: And there was like a time out or something later
- 51:06Speaker 1: like the next possession, the next possession, there's like a
- 51:09Speaker 1: time out.
- 51:09Speaker 11: Greg comes up to me, he's like, hey man, a
- 51:12Speaker 11: paulogs just saying that. They're like, I know you worked
- 51:13Speaker 11: hard for this shit like.
- 51:15Speaker 1: None of that. Everybody, everybody who's on this field earn
- 51:17Speaker 1: their place on this field. I was like, oh, it's
- 51:19Speaker 1: all good man.
- 51:20Speaker 3: I do I remember that story and I've heard you
- 51:22Speaker 3: tell it, and I feel like I have to go
- 51:24Speaker 3: back and look. But I feel like one time on
- 51:26Speaker 3: like Twitter or something before we had ever really like
- 51:28Speaker 3: met I heard you tell the story, and uh, I
- 51:32Speaker 3: feel like on Twitter, I like quote tweeted it. I
- 51:34Speaker 3: was like, I'm sorry about that, Like I remember that
- 51:37Speaker 3: that's true, that's a true story. I felt really bad
- 51:40Speaker 3: about it at the time. I feel really bad now
- 51:42Speaker 3: hearing you tell it again. So I feel like I
- 51:45Speaker 3: don't feel as bad now that I know you like
- 51:47Speaker 3: webbed me and that was like premeditated. I don't feel
- 51:49Speaker 3: great about that. Yeah, but uh I think for the
- 51:52Speaker 3: for the sake that we can let buy guns speak.
- 51:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 51:55Speaker 11: Absolutely.
- 51:55Speaker 1: Are you not like a trash talg guy or you know,
- 51:57Speaker 1: like I wasn't really a trash talk guy. I don't
- 52:00Speaker 1: like an Arian Foster comment, you know what I mean,
- 52:02Speaker 1: Like who are you?
- 52:02Speaker 11: I don't even know you.
- 52:03Speaker 3: Yeah, that wasn't really my thing. That's why I was
- 52:05Speaker 3: so out of character that I was like that guy
- 52:07Speaker 3: didn't deserve that, Like that was probably I was. I
- 52:10Speaker 3: was being sensitive that he blocked.
- 52:12Speaker 1: You know.
- 52:12Speaker 3: I got very sensitive when people guarded me. I took
- 52:16Speaker 3: great pride and like if they threw me the ball,
- 52:18Speaker 3: like I was going to catch that son of a
- 52:19Speaker 3: bitch but like and when people guarded me, I was like,
- 52:23Speaker 3: you know, your pride gets hurt.
- 52:24Speaker 1: You're like, fuck, I just said this guy fucking gard me.
- 52:26Speaker 3: So I probably snapped back, probably just added more like
- 52:29Speaker 3: frustration rather than like ankst towards you. I probably would
- 52:33Speaker 3: have done if it was anybody, it could have been
- 52:34Speaker 3: fucking Ray Lewis, I might have said it.
- 52:36Speaker 1: Yeah, but yeah, I just.
- 52:39Speaker 3: That wasn't really my thing. I wasn't I wasn't a
- 52:42Speaker 3: big like trash talk guy. I wasn't a big like
- 52:44Speaker 3: raw raw celebrate. I mean just wasn't my thing.
- 52:47Speaker 13: ULTI of the Year, ULTI finalist.
- 52:50Speaker 3: I lost it.
- 52:51Speaker 13: I lost three times.
- 52:51Speaker 3: Thanks thanks for bringing it up.
- 52:53Speaker 1: But I feel like each player who gets like becomes
- 52:55Speaker 1: their team's nominee or whatever. It's so hard because after
- 52:59Speaker 1: that it just comes under the voting. You know, they
- 53:00Speaker 1: changed a strong you know, they like a strong fan base.
- 53:04Speaker 13: They changed the way they work it because of me.
- 53:06Speaker 13: The Greg Olsen Ruld.
- 53:07Speaker 3: Do you know that story. I do not, So, so
- 53:09Speaker 3: I go I go to Walter Payton Man of the
- 53:11Speaker 3: Year the first time I'm a finalist. So back in
- 53:13Speaker 3: the day. No longer.
- 53:14Speaker 13: They now bring all thirty two.
- 53:15Speaker 3: Nominees to the to the NFL Honors before the Super Bowl.
- 53:19Speaker 3: But prior to this, I was a finalist. It was me,
- 53:23Speaker 3: Larry Fitzgerald, and Eli Manning. So we're the three finalists
- 53:26Speaker 3: and I had no anticipation of winning. Larry and Eli
- 53:31Speaker 3: had both been nominees in the past, and I was like,
- 53:34Speaker 3: you're not beating Eli Manning and you're not beating Larry Fitzgerald,
- 53:37Speaker 3: Like who.
- 53:37Speaker 11: You think's winning? Before that?
- 53:38Speaker 1: Before that night, that was the question.
- 53:41Speaker 3: I was like, which one of these two legends are
- 53:43Speaker 3: going to be sitting in the crowd with me, you know,
- 53:46Speaker 3: as the asphalt was laughing, right, So we catch word
- 53:50Speaker 3: the night before that they're going to give multiple awards
- 53:53Speaker 3: and we're like, no way, there's no way they'd give
- 53:56Speaker 3: two awards when there's only three guys there, right, Sure
- 53:59Speaker 3: ship they get up on stage, so then one camera
- 54:02Speaker 3: gets in front of you, so you're like, oh my god,
- 54:04Speaker 3: am I gonna win? But then you realize there's a
- 54:06Speaker 3: camera in front of every finalist and uh, and like,
- 54:09Speaker 3: for the first time in NFL history, we're gonna give
- 54:12Speaker 3: out two NFL Man of the Years.
- 54:16Speaker 13: So I'm like, do I got a shot here.
- 54:17Speaker 3: But then I'm like, there's no way Eli Manning is
- 54:21Speaker 3: gonna sit in the crowd and be the loan loser
- 54:23Speaker 3: Flarier Fitzgerald's. So they call Larry and Eli and I'm
- 54:27Speaker 3: the loan loser. So they brought three guys and I
- 54:30Speaker 3: came in third, and I'm the only guy right. So
- 54:32Speaker 3: then there's a camera. You're in the front row, you know,
- 54:35Speaker 3: so you're a clapp in. You're happy. I'm like, I
- 54:38Speaker 3: get it. I'm like, but I'm gonna come back next year.
- 54:40Speaker 3: So they do you know why they gave two because
- 54:43Speaker 3: you can only be a finalist so many times. You
- 54:46Speaker 3: can only be nominated three times. And it was both
- 54:49Speaker 3: Larry and Eli's last nomination, so one of them was
- 54:52Speaker 3: forever going to lose.
- 54:54Speaker 13: It was my first time being a finalist, so I
- 54:56Speaker 13: had one more year.
- 54:58Speaker 3: So I'm sitting there and I'm I'm like, all right,
- 55:00Speaker 3: I'm the loan loser. So they catch us walking out
- 55:03Speaker 3: of there backstage or whatever, leave in and Goodell comes
- 55:06Speaker 3: up to me, and everyone comes up to me, and
- 55:07Speaker 3: they're like, you know, we.
- 55:07Speaker 13: Get over there next year.
- 55:09Speaker 3: If those guys can't be nominees anymore. It's your year,
- 55:12Speaker 3: it'll be your last year we'll recognize. So I'm like,
- 55:15Speaker 3: I get it.
- 55:16Speaker 1: It was the that was your second time.
- 55:18Speaker 3: I had one more time, all right. So the next
- 55:20Speaker 3: year I'm a finalist again with Ben Watson and JJ Watt.
- 55:26Speaker 13: And it was the hurricane year where.
- 55:28Speaker 3: JJ did that you know, fundraiser raised gazillion dollars for
- 55:32Speaker 3: the hurricane relief in Houston. So now I'm like shit, like,
- 55:38Speaker 3: I'm not how am I beaten that? He raised fifty
- 55:40Speaker 3: million dollars whatever it was for the hurricane.
- 55:43Speaker 13: So we go there.
- 55:44Speaker 3: He wins Man of the Year. So I can no
- 55:46Speaker 3: longer be nominated. So I'm done. So this whole plan
- 55:49Speaker 3: of give it to Eli and Larry olsen'll be the
- 55:51Speaker 3: loan loser. We'll bring him back. We'll make it up
- 55:54Speaker 3: to him the next year. Little did they know that
- 55:56Speaker 3: what was going to happen in Houston with JJ and
- 55:58Speaker 3: what he did was great. So I lose.
- 56:01Speaker 13: I can no longer ever be nominated again.
- 56:03Speaker 3: So they said, we're not doing that anymore because there's
- 56:06Speaker 3: always someone who doesn't get their turn. They scrap the
- 56:09Speaker 3: finalists the Greg Olsen rule, they bring all thirty two.
- 56:11Speaker 3: So Now every year there's thirty one losers instead of
- 56:15Speaker 3: just me.
- 56:15Speaker 1: But people can get nominated as many times I don't know.
- 56:18Speaker 3: Still the same, but now you don't have to. But
- 56:20Speaker 3: now instead of making the finalists and and being three,
- 56:24Speaker 3: I get it to you this year you. But now
- 56:27Speaker 3: the third guy who didn't win it, he cannot win
- 56:28Speaker 3: it again.
- 56:29Speaker 1: Like what happened with me.
- 56:29Speaker 3: You run out of nominations. Now thirty one guys lose,
- 56:33Speaker 3: so it's not as all right the loser next Every
- 56:36Speaker 3: year they would say the loser one of the losers
- 56:38Speaker 3: of the finalists would win the next year.
- 56:41Speaker 13: You never won your first year, nominated.
- 56:44Speaker 3: Until unless you're probably j J one, until you raised
- 56:47Speaker 3: fifty million dollars in her because I don't think it
- 56:50Speaker 3: was his first time being a finalist. Whether he was
- 56:52Speaker 3: nominated in the past, I don't know. So I always
- 56:54Speaker 3: like to take credit that the Walter Payton Man of
- 56:56Speaker 3: the Year setup is now the Greg Olsen rule, because
- 57:00Speaker 3: I was the assholes sitting in the Yeah, you.
- 57:02Speaker 1: Got a legacy.
- 57:03Speaker 3: I made a mark on the league.
- 57:04Speaker 1: You made a mark on the league.
- 57:05Speaker 3: That'll take a lot of credit when all thirty two
- 57:07Speaker 3: guys get to walk the red carpet. It's because I
- 57:10Speaker 3: lost so many times. You can want someone else to
- 57:13Speaker 3: do it.
- 57:13Speaker 1: Boys, enjoy all your expenses getting paid for because of me.
- 57:16Speaker 13: Because of my suffering.
- 57:17Speaker 3: Dude.
- 57:18Speaker 1: So, how many years did you play?
- 57:19Speaker 13: Fourteen?
- 57:20Speaker 1: Fourteen years? Started off with Chicago, you went to Miami.
- 57:24Speaker 1: We'd love to hear some U stores, if you got
- 57:25Speaker 1: any good U stores, because you played back when.
- 57:27Speaker 13: The U was like the you was good.
- 57:29Speaker 1: Yeah, you think they're gonna you think they're gonna come back.
- 57:31Speaker 3: I think so.
- 57:32Speaker 1: So Marc's here's what I hear, and you can correct
- 57:34Speaker 1: me because it'll be broken anyway because I just hear
- 57:36Speaker 1: it through whether it's coaches or recruise or anything like that.
- 57:40Speaker 1: The issue seems to be that there's such a distance
- 57:42Speaker 1: between like where the college campus is and where the
- 57:46Speaker 1: stadium is and the nil money and stuff to where
- 57:48Speaker 1: it's like it's just so watered down on they have
- 57:51Speaker 1: they struggle competing because the vicinity of everything is not
- 57:55Speaker 1: around each other.
- 57:56Speaker 3: Yeah, that's part of it. So I think one of
- 57:58Speaker 3: the big mistakes they made is a program. When I
- 57:59Speaker 3: was there, we played at the Orange Bowl, which was
- 58:01Speaker 3: a dump, but it was like our dump, right it
- 58:04Speaker 3: was a historic venue. When we'd play those night games
- 58:07Speaker 3: there against Florida State or Florida or Virginia Tech, I
- 58:09Speaker 3: mean Clemson. It was there was reason the bag, it
- 58:12Speaker 3: was crazy, Yeah, palm trees in the end zone. Everyone remembers.
- 58:15Speaker 3: It was iconic, right, you played it on that, you know,
- 58:17Speaker 3: you played it on on.
- 58:21Speaker 13: And it was six.
- 58:22Speaker 3: So that that was the stadium. That was the only
- 58:24Speaker 3: stadium I ever played there. And then they knocked that down.
- 58:27Speaker 3: And the original rumors were that the that Miami Hurricanes
- 58:31Speaker 3: and the Marlins were going to do like a joint,
- 58:34Speaker 3: brand new facility like somewhere on the property and share it.
- 58:38Speaker 3: That fell through. The Marlins did it on their own
- 58:40Speaker 3: and Miami was left with nothing. So on the original nearby,
- 58:43Speaker 3: the original Orange Bowl, I believe is where the Marlins
- 58:46Speaker 3: baseball stadium is, which was supposed to be.
- 58:48Speaker 13: A joint like co you know, habitat, you know type thing.
- 58:53Speaker 3: So the Miami was just left with the Dolphin Stadium, which,
- 58:56Speaker 3: like you said, is a good forty minutes from campus.
- 58:59Speaker 13: Thirty five forty minutes from campus.
- 59:01Speaker 3: We only struggled getting people to our games to begin with.
- 59:05Speaker 3: If it wasn't if it was a noon game against
- 59:08Speaker 3: Wake Forest. There's gonna be twenty thousand people in the
- 59:11Speaker 3: Orange Bowl. It was just even when we were the
- 59:12Speaker 3: best team in the country, it was just the way
- 59:14Speaker 3: it was. There's a lot to do down there. On
- 59:16Speaker 3: a Saturday morning in November, it's eighty five degrees and
- 59:18Speaker 3: you're gonna go to the beach and there's just a
- 59:20Speaker 3: lot to do. It's not a college town, but going
- 59:23Speaker 3: up there every Saturday is hard. It's hard for the students.
- 59:27Speaker 3: It's not a big school. When I went there, there
- 59:29Speaker 3: was ten thousand undergrad So even if every single kid
- 59:31Speaker 3: in the school came, it's ten thousand kids.
- 59:33Speaker 1: Right right, and you're trying to get you know, if
- 59:35Speaker 1: you're stud you're trying to.
- 59:36Speaker 11: Get wregged, like you're trying.
- 59:37Speaker 3: To like you went out, you went out Friday night,
- 59:39Speaker 3: and it's just forty year So there was a lot
- 59:42Speaker 3: of factors in that. Now fast forward to today, so
- 59:45Speaker 3: they just hired Mario Crystabal So Mario. I've known Mario
- 59:48Speaker 3: since I was fifteen years old. When I went down
- 59:50Speaker 3: to the University of Miami camp they were the first
- 59:52Speaker 3: school that ever offered me a scholarship. My rising sophomore summer,
- 59:56Speaker 3: Mario was the offensive quality control coach ort GA. He
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: shortly then went with Greg Cianno, who was the defensive coordinator.
- 1:00:03Speaker 13: My dad knew Greg because he played.
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: Greg played against my dad's high school team when my
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: dad was the.
- 1:00:08Speaker 13: Coach back in New Jersey. So he takes over for Rutgers.
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: He brings Mario Christobal with him, and he recruits us
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: in New Jersey at Rutgers.
- 1:00:15Speaker 13: So we go way back with Mario.
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: He then came back to Miami, coached me, went on
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: to FIU, and now he's come full circle.
- 1:00:22Speaker 13: So he's back.
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: If my if Mario can't bring Miami back to prominence
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: and respectability, then it just can't happen.
- 1:00:29Speaker 13: It's just not in the car.
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: So he is the guy. If he's the guy for
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: the job. If he can't do it, nobody can do it.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: And they brought guys back like players right like in eds, like.
- 1:00:39Speaker 13: Chief of staff.
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: They Jason Taylor, who didn't go to Miami, but Miami guy,
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: he's on the defensive staff, I mean his his staff.
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: He brought Josh Gaddis to offensive coordinator from Michigan, who
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: won the Art the Art Briles for the top assistant
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: coach and what's the whatever the award they gave It
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: might be the broils, whatever it is. They he went
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: top off my top NCAA. He came, he left Michigan
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: to come. He's got an unbelievable staff. So they have
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: the money now boosters. When he took the job, he said,
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: I need new facilities, I need new nil money, I
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: need this, this, this and this. And the new ad
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: who came from Clemson went out and they gave him
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: a package and said, you get everything you asked for.
- 1:01:20Speaker 4: Win.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: Dude. It does seem like like in the college landscape,
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: you just need like a you need the people above
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: you to like be behind you, to like, you know,
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: give you the money because it's going to take like
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: teams are building budgets to it's going to turn into
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: like free agency.
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: So it is, and Miami's never going to compete with Texas,
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: A and M in Alabama and Georgia and the big
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: state schools that have fifty thousand kids and huge boosters
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: and huge endowments and huge fund You're just it's a
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: small private.
- 1:01:43Speaker 13: School in South Florida.
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: Like it's just it's apples and oranges from as far
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: as the set up, but the culture down there of
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: winning the area to recruit the players that come out
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: of South Florida. I mean, you played with a bunch
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: of us and they're just different and they're just different cats.
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: If you can get those kids, and Mario will he
- 1:02:00Speaker 3: already is He's only been there for you know, not
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: even a year.
- 1:02:03Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:02:05Speaker 13: I think the world of Mario and if he can't
- 1:02:08Speaker 13: do it, it just can't be done.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: Yeah. Uh yeah, I heard you say you got offered
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: as a rising sophomore. Yeah, so you were a stud.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: You've been a stud. So I went down.
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: I mean I think it was more of like projection.
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: So my dad knew Greg Ciano. He was a defensive coordinator,
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: Butch Davis was the was the head coach just before
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: he went to Cleveland, and they were, you know, they
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: were a big time. They were playing in BCS Bowl
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: games every year. I think this was prior to them
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: winning the national championship against Nebraska, so it may have
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: been like the year before that, and so they were
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: on the verge of something special. Dorsey and Santanamos and
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: Reggie Wayne, I mean, these guys they were loaded.
- 1:02:44Speaker 13: Yeah, the Rockets before that. He is a little older
- 1:02:47Speaker 13: than me.
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: But but yeah, so I was going. I was the
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: summer between my freshman and sophomore year. Back then, they
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: used to hold week long camps. Nowadays it's like showcase
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: camps and you come in for one day. We had helmets,
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: but there was no hitting. But we wore helmets. But
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: it was Monday through Friday, right, You slept.
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: In the dorms orm shitty.
- 1:03:06Speaker 11: Yeah, we had the same thing.
- 1:03:07Speaker 13: They don't do that anymore.
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: Yeah, these hot shot kids now in high school. They
- 1:03:11Speaker 3: come in for one day.
- 1:03:12Speaker 13: They work out for two hours.
- 1:03:13Speaker 3: It's mostly like a meet and greet, official visit branding. Yeah,
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: they call it camp and they're not really working. We
- 1:03:19Speaker 3: were doing multiple practices a day. So we were doing
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: that at Miami. Hundreds and hundreds of kids at the camp.
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: And after the camp Greg Ciano and the offensive coordinator
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: was Larry Kocher. They pulled my dad aside. I had
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: an older brother who was a rising junior. He was
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: a quarterback, and before we left camp they offered us
- 1:03:38Speaker 3: both and that was He had had a few offers
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: before then, but that was my first one, and I
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: think it was just projection. They saw a tall, skinny
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: kid who can run around and catch the ball. And
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: I probably weighed two hundred pounds max. But like, could
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: run and could catch and whatnot. I think at that
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: time they had Shocky and they were on the heels
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: of Bubba Franks. They were kind of at the forefront
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: of that tight end of renaissance, and they took a
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: shot on a young kid, and that always made a last.
- 1:04:04Speaker 13: Thing impressed you.
- 1:04:05Speaker 11: When did you commit?
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: So I originally went to Notre Dame. So I transferred
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: to Miami. So I signed with Notre Dame. My older
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: brother went to Notre Dame the year before me, so
- 1:04:13Speaker 3: I followed him to Notre Dame the following year, signed
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: my letter of intent, went graduated in June, went to Miami,
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: and I went to Notre Dame in June, and.
- 1:04:22Speaker 13: I left in August. I was like this, it just
- 1:04:25Speaker 13: wasn't for me, Like it wasn't my style, it wasn't
- 1:04:29Speaker 13: my vibe.
- 1:04:29Speaker 11: It was always loved to give you a bad taste,
- 1:04:34Speaker 11: you know, I.
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: Always love I loved everything about Miami, like from the
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: early on, they were the first school that showed interest,
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: Like I just I loved their tight end kind of history.
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: You know, Shaki had just gotten drafted to New York,
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: which was right down the street from where I lived
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: in high school, so he was a big deal. Bubba
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: Kellen Winslow was now then like this, you know, he
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: was in on the team and making a name. So
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: like they were known as the tight end school, and
- 1:04:58Speaker 3: there was just something about the they played their style
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: that resonated with me, like it was a little more
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: up my alley. Notre Dame was great. Tyrone Willingham was awesome.
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: I was the head coach that I had committed to.
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: It was just a little more conservative, Like it was
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: a little more stuffy. It was a little more prim
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: and proper, and you know, like it just wasn't my style,
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: Like this's just not me. Yeah, And you know, the
- 1:05:24Speaker 3: only reason I went to Notre Dame in the beginning
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: is to go play with my brother. And it's Notre Dame, right,
- 1:05:29Speaker 3: you go to Notre Dame and you graduate, it's, you know,
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: one of the most prestigious institutions in the world. So
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: it had everything going for it. But once I got
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: on campus, I was I was just my heart wasn't there.
- 1:05:39Speaker 3: I was like I should be at Miami like, I know,
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: I came to play with my brother and family and
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: all that, but I got to do what's right for me,
- 1:05:44Speaker 3: and I got to go somewhere that fits where I
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: see myself growing as a player and as a person.
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: And my dad called at the Now Larry is the
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: head coach, Butch had left, so Larry Coker's the head coach.
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: I said, Dad, before I leave here, I got to
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: make sure I have a scholarship. This was before transfer portals,
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: this was before all this stuff. And my dad called
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: Larry and got him on the phone, was like, hey,
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: Greg's looking to transfer. He's like what he just got there.
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: He's like, he wants to come, but you have a scholarship.
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: And they had a scholarship. I got in the car
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: with my mom, drove back to New Jersey, waited for
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: the NCAA clearinghouse to approve my transfer, and went down
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: on like a Friday afternoon and jumped right into press.
- 1:06:22Speaker 11: Our conversation until Notre Dame the state.
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: It was hard, Yeah, it was hard, you know, to
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: sit in the office with a school who had recruited
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: you now for three four years, you know, you had
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: really gotten.
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: To know the assistant you a little bit.
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: I wish, I wish I got paid. I always joked like,
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: there was all these great stories about all these kids
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: in college before and I the olden days where you know,
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: guys were dropping suitcases.
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: Off and we had Fred Taylor on e what was it,
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: sixty to fifty sixty year end, he would go to
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: a guy's house.
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: I swear the mass money my family's lives I never had. Now,
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: my dad was my high school coach. So when they're
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: sitting in our family room, sitting in our school, my
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: dad is also the coach. She's been there for forty years.
- 1:07:04Speaker 3: They've recruited his school for a million year, so it
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: was a little bit different. But I always joked like
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: I hear of all these kids, the kids that I
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: was being recruited with, their kids that I played with,
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: their guys in the league, that would tell these stories
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: in the locker room, And I was like, I was
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: pretty good.
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: How come nobody was paying me?
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I mean like, but no, I never you
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: never offered me a die.
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: Like on Miami and you don't have the say any names.
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: I'm just asking, did you have a teammate on Miami
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: to where you find out why you're playing with him
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: in college that he had gotten paid No, and You're
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: just like what the fuck?
- 1:07:34Speaker 3: Like, No, there was always, you know, there was always
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: the stories of you know that you'd get the free
- 1:07:39Speaker 3: you know, go to a night at the club and
- 1:07:41Speaker 3: it magically the bill got paid. Like you know, there
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: was always those stories. But I never had anyone, both
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: through the recruiting process or while I was at school,
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: who was like, oh, yeah, they paid me fifty grand
- 1:07:52Speaker 3: to come here. Never. Yeah, So I was either oblivious
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: or I just no one.
- 1:07:59Speaker 4: No one thought that I had to pay me to
- 1:08:00Speaker 4: come to there.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: No, I'm so pissed. Like most I knew about was
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: like our coaches would put money on the ball for
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: like a turnover during a game. Yeah, I'm like that
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: stuff like that, like thousands of dollars.
- 1:08:12Speaker 11: Now.
- 1:08:12Speaker 3: Listen when we when we had recruits in what an
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: assistant coach give you a hundred bucks and be like, hey,
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: if you guys go to dinner tonight, if you take
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: this recruit out. Yeah, But were they dropping duffel bags
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: of money like blue Chips remember that movie Blue Chips
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: and Nick Nolty and stuff for like Anny Hardaway and
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: Shack and all them and like, no, that was not
- 1:08:31Speaker 3: my experience. Maybe other guys had that, but it wasn't
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: my experience.
- 1:08:35Speaker 11: So you were a beast in Miami.
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: You go first round, you play what three years with
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: the Bears? I played four?
- 1:08:41Speaker 3: I played fourth seeds, and I got traded after my
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: fourth season going into.
- 1:08:44Speaker 13: My fifth nine with U nine with Caroline, with Carolina.
- 1:08:49Speaker 11: What was it like when you got traded? Were you bitter?
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: I was because I look at like you look at
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: your career and a lot of people like and I'm
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: sure you've like felt this way because you're like a
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: you're like a hard, like you've earned all of your stuff,
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: but people see you know, you get offered as a sophomore,
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: you become a first rounder, you have all of the
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: success in the NFL. I would love to know about,
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: like some adversity points like in your career, Like maybe
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: trading is one of them, for sure, but I would
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: love to hear about.
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: Yeah, And I think I'm glad you asked, because it's
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: easy to sit back and evaluate people's career and be like, man,
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: that guy was so lucky. What a great career, first
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: round pick, scholarship to Miami. You know, played fourteen years,
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: made a lot of money. But like people don't know
- 1:09:28Speaker 3: just how hard this stuff really is. They don't know.
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: Every guy in the roster has a story. It doesn't
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: matter if it's a guy in the practice squad.
- 1:09:36Speaker 13: Or it's the All Pro quarterback.
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: Everybody's got a story where along the way there was
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: a tipping point and you either decided to push through
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: it or it crushed you.
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: Because it gets even harder the longer you're own.
- 1:09:46Speaker 3: It gets it's because now age becomes a factor and
- 1:09:49Speaker 3: you're the layers of difficulty just continue to pile up.
- 1:09:53Speaker 3: So yeah, to your point, you know, adversity, I signed
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: with the wrong college out of school. I had to
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: go sit and be ineligible for a year at Miami
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: and be a tackling dummy on the scout team with
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: eight future first round draft picks on the Miami defense,
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: and I'm scout team freshman seven, eighteen year old freshman
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: tight end on the scout team for a full season.
- 1:10:13Speaker 11: You got to keep your head at it, too, and
- 1:10:15Speaker 11: you got to stay.
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: Those days are brutal because you're not getting coached, you're
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: getting told, hey, you're doing the wrong thing.
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: On the car, You're Florida's tight end, You're Virginia Tech
- 1:10:23Speaker 3: tight end, You're Florida State's tight end. Don't fuck it
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: up because these Sean Taylor needs a good look and
- 1:10:28Speaker 3: if you mess it up, Sean Taylor will.
- 1:10:30Speaker 13: Kill you in practice.
- 1:10:31Speaker 3: Right, entrel Roll, Vince Wilfork, DJ Williams, Jonathan Vilma, those
- 1:10:36Speaker 3: guys were on the same team, so right, So that
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: was early adversity. I mean, I remember calling my dad
- 1:10:41Speaker 3: after getting to Miami and he's like, you know, how
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: is it? How is it?
- 1:10:44Speaker 13: I'm like, I love it. It's beautiful and me.
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: Walking around it's palm trees, It's ninety degrees every day.
- 1:10:49Speaker 3: It's just cool.
- 1:10:50Speaker 13: It's sick. But I don't think I'll ever play here.
- 1:10:52Speaker 3: Like these guys are just I mean, I grew up
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: in a small suburb in New Jersey and now I'm
- 1:10:57Speaker 3: playing in South Florida.
- 1:10:58Speaker 13: These are just different. This is just different world, a
- 1:11:01Speaker 13: different world, and you know, you.
- 1:11:04Speaker 3: Battle through that. And then as a red shirt freshman,
- 1:11:06Speaker 3: I earned some time as a reserve kind of guy,
- 1:11:08Speaker 3: play half the Snaps, the third of the Snaps, as
- 1:11:10Speaker 3: like a part time number two tight end kind of thing.
- 1:11:13Speaker 3: Then my third year start and then you know, obviously
- 1:11:15Speaker 3: build a career from there. But then to your point.
- 1:11:18Speaker 3: So I get off to a decent start in Chicago
- 1:11:20Speaker 3: my rookie year. My second year, I'm solid like forty
- 1:11:24Speaker 3: to fifty catches, which in those times were good years,
- 1:11:27Speaker 3: you know. But then my fourth my third year, I
- 1:11:29Speaker 3: had a really good year. I led the team and catches.
- 1:11:32Speaker 3: I had sixty something catches, led the team, and think
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: they had like eight touchdowns. Like, I had a good year,
- 1:11:39Speaker 3: and we missed the playoffs. And Lovey Smith was the coach,
- 1:11:42Speaker 3: and he fires the offensive coordinator, the tight end coach,
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: the quarterback coach, and the offensive line coach. We pretty
- 1:11:48Speaker 3: much fires most of the offensive staff, and you know,
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: I lost my only tight end coach I had known
- 1:11:54Speaker 3: at the time, and I was a young guy, so
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: I and then yeah, yeah, he was the only.
- 1:11:59Speaker 13: Coach I ever had at the NFL level.
- 1:12:01Speaker 3: And so fast forward into that offseason, they all get
- 1:12:05Speaker 3: fired and they hire Mike Martz and at his introductory
- 1:12:08Speaker 3: press conference, Mark says, you know, they asked him to say, hey,
- 1:12:12Speaker 3: you don't really have a lot of history with tight
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: ends in your system, you know, going back to his
- 1:12:15Speaker 3: days with the greatest show on turf for Marshall Falk
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: and Toroy Holt and Oza Kim and those guys. And like,
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: you know, you're leading receiver from last year is a
- 1:12:23Speaker 3: young tight end, a first round from a couple of
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: years ago? Like, how do you see him fitting in
- 1:12:27Speaker 3: your system? And I'll never forget it for as long
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: as I live. He's like, if a tight end in
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: my system can't block, I don't really have much of
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: a use for him. I'd rather just either play with
- 1:12:37Speaker 3: a third tackle or a third receiver. And I was like,
- 1:12:40Speaker 3: I never met him, never said a word to him,
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: never sat in his office. That was the first thing
- 1:12:45Speaker 3: he ever said about me. So I was like, fuck
- 1:12:48Speaker 3: this guy, Like you know what I mean, Like you
- 1:12:51Speaker 3: never have spoken a word to me. You don't even
- 1:12:53Speaker 3: you've never even worked with me. You don't know anything
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: about me. I'm in my third year. I just finished
- 1:12:58Speaker 3: my third year in the league. Like I'm young, I'm growing,
- 1:13:01Speaker 3: I'm getting better.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: Like and you asked a question that gives you not
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: being didy either talk you up, talk about.
- 1:13:08Speaker 3: I mean, give him give him bullshit answer. I look
- 1:13:10Speaker 3: forward to working with all the guys on the roster
- 1:13:12Speaker 3: I have to spend some time getting to know what
- 1:13:13Speaker 3: guys do well.
- 1:13:14Speaker 13: We're always going to play the guy's strengths. YadA, YadA, YadA, YadA.
- 1:13:18Speaker 3: But he takes the time and in essence says like
- 1:13:20Speaker 3: I and in more words than this, he's like, I
- 1:13:23Speaker 3: don't really have much use for him. So I'm like,
- 1:13:25Speaker 3: all right. So I went into off season that year
- 1:13:28Speaker 3: like with an edge, like a point to prove, like
- 1:13:31Speaker 3: OTA's mini camp, like I was trying to kill people.
- 1:13:34Speaker 3: Like my goal was, I don't care if I play
- 1:13:36Speaker 3: a snap. I'm going to prove this guy wrong. So
- 1:13:39Speaker 3: that draft, So fast forward to April of that year,
- 1:13:42Speaker 3: I get called into the GM's office and he tells
- 1:13:44Speaker 3: me right to my face, Jerry Angelo. He's like, Hey,
- 1:13:47Speaker 3: I'm just letting you know, pay attention to tomorrow night's draft.
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: This was when drafts were on the weekends. He's like, Saturday,
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: so this is Saturday. First round. He's like, we have
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: a trade in place with the New England Patriots. They're
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: targeting a tight end. It turned out to be Grounk
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: and if they don't, if he goes in the first round,
- 1:14:03Speaker 3: they're going to trade one of their three second round
- 1:14:05Speaker 3: picks for you, So just be around.
- 1:14:08Speaker 13: I'm not promising anything, but just be around, you know.
- 1:14:12Speaker 3: I had mixed emotions, like I loved Chicago, right I
- 1:14:17Speaker 3: loved Chicago. I loved the city like it's an awesome
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: place to play. The fans, It's felt like college. It
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: felt like a big college city where this is the
- 1:14:27Speaker 3: people on game day, leading up to the games. It's
- 1:14:29Speaker 3: a big deal in Chicago. It's beautiful. We loved it,
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: like we were really getting roots there, so torn right like,
- 1:14:36Speaker 3: and part of it is just your pride where it's
- 1:14:38Speaker 3: like no, like I'm gonna make it work here because
- 1:14:41Speaker 3: you say I can't make it work here.
- 1:14:42Speaker 13: Like it almost just had a spikee.
- 1:14:44Speaker 3: So fast forward, Gronk falls out of the first round.
- 1:14:46Speaker 3: They call the trade off. So they call me back
- 1:14:49Speaker 3: in and they're like, trades off, we are not entertaining
- 1:14:52Speaker 3: any more trades. We're going to make it work with
- 1:14:53Speaker 3: you this year. So this is going into my fourth year.
- 1:14:57Speaker 3: We have a good season, we make the NFC Championship.
- 1:15:00Speaker 3: I had my my my production was down as a
- 1:15:04Speaker 3: product of the system, but I played a lot, I
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: was involved in the game, had had a great playoffs,
- 1:15:10Speaker 3: had one hundred and something yards in the playoffs, Like,
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: had a good year. I'm like, all right, that's all
- 1:15:13Speaker 3: behind me. I'm entering my fifth year. I'm going to
- 1:15:16Speaker 3: get a new contract. Like, I'm going to be here.
- 1:15:18Speaker 3: I've showed that I can play in any system, a
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: system that highlights the tight ends or not, and I'm
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: going to make it work. And it was the lockout
- 1:15:26Speaker 3: year of twenty eleven, so we had no off season.
- 1:15:29Speaker 3: That lockout was lifted.
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: And did they had the option because you were a
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: first round Yeah, but.
- 1:15:32Speaker 3: This was this was old.
- 1:15:33Speaker 11: This was old.
- 1:15:34Speaker 13: He just had a four I had a five year
- 1:15:36Speaker 13: contracts okay.
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: In days there was no ope, and you were going
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: to try to get an extension going in here for this.
- 1:15:41Speaker 3: So I was entering this was this was old CBA
- 1:15:44Speaker 3: first round picks. The top kids made a bazillion dollars.
- 1:15:47Speaker 3: Oh yeah, this was before twenty eleven's new Bradford those guys.
- 1:15:52Speaker 3: This was this was do'n old.
- 1:15:54Speaker 13: This was this was old CBA.
- 1:15:56Speaker 3: So we have no off season, no mini camp, no,
- 1:16:00Speaker 3: then the CBA gets agreed to call it July end
- 1:16:04Speaker 3: of July and we have to report to trading camp.
- 1:16:06Speaker 13: So I report to training camp, we do.
- 1:16:08Speaker 3: A physical, and I'm at a movie with Brian or
- 1:16:11Speaker 3: Lacker and we're sitting in a movie and my phone
- 1:16:14Speaker 3: rings and it's my agent and I don't answer it.
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: I'm like, hey, I'm with some of the guys hanging out, Like,
- 1:16:18Speaker 3: i'll call you later. He's like, no, you need to
- 1:16:20Speaker 3: call me. I just talked to Jerry Angelo. So I
- 1:16:24Speaker 3: step out, make a long story short Horrible Bosses. I'll
- 1:16:28Speaker 3: never forget it. I never saw Horrible Bosses too. We
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: just said Brian was just in town last week. He
- 1:16:32Speaker 3: came on the Bust the best.
- 1:16:33Speaker 11: Yeah, he was awesome.
- 1:16:34Speaker 13: You talk about a good teammate.
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: That dude is a stud. Everybody says that his teammate.
- 1:16:39Speaker 3: I have a good Brian stories. But anyway, to finish
- 1:16:41Speaker 3: this really long story, they call and they're like, we're
- 1:16:45Speaker 3: not going to give him an extension. So if you
- 1:16:47Speaker 3: guys want to trade, like, we're willing to trade them,
- 1:16:49Speaker 3: but we're not going to give them away. So we'll
- 1:16:52Speaker 3: see if we can figure it out. So that was
- 1:16:54Speaker 3: like eleven o'clock and the next morning, Lovey Smith calls me.
- 1:16:57Speaker 3: We have breakfast together. He's like, why don't you stay
- 1:16:59Speaker 3: out a team meetings? So we're starting camp like team
- 1:17:02Speaker 3: meeting in the morning, offense defense, special teams, weight room
- 1:17:06Speaker 3: like camps starting and you're like, why don't you just
- 1:17:08Speaker 3: like hang in the dorm go work out, Like, why
- 1:17:11Speaker 3: don't you just and we'll see if we can figure
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: this out.
- 1:17:14Speaker 13: And that noon, that afternoon, your age just.
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: Sitting here working the yahs, figuring yep.
- 1:17:19Speaker 3: And then noon you know, so twelve hours later, sitting
- 1:17:23Speaker 3: in my dorm in this like little school that we
- 1:17:25Speaker 3: did training camp at in Illinois and found out I
- 1:17:29Speaker 3: got traded to Carolina.
- 1:17:30Speaker 13: And that's how it went down.
- 1:17:31Speaker 3: And I packed my bag up, I drove home, packed
- 1:17:34Speaker 3: a suitcase, went to bed, woke up the next morning,
- 1:17:36Speaker 3: flew out, and never ever went back to my house.
- 1:17:38Speaker 3: My wife flew in, She went back, packed up the house,
- 1:17:42Speaker 3: drove put it on the market, sold it.
- 1:17:44Speaker 13: We never stepped footing it again.
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: Were you fired up about Carolina? I was one of
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: those things where you're nervous, kind of pissed off about
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: the bears, Like I was back, and you think this
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: is that was one of the best.
- 1:17:53Speaker 13: Ye looking back, it's the best thing that ever happened.
- 1:17:55Speaker 11: To me.
- 1:17:55Speaker 3: My career took off in Carolina for a lot of reasons,
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: but at the time, I mean, think about it. You're
- 1:18:00Speaker 3: going from Chicago, which is the only team you knew,
- 1:18:04Speaker 3: huge market, You're just getting your footing. You just played
- 1:18:07Speaker 3: in an NFC Championship, we lost by five.
- 1:18:09Speaker 13: To the Packers, who won the Super Bowl.
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: And when you're a good player, you're like, I'm going
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: to be a cornerstone of this.
- 1:18:15Speaker 3: Team, and you're like, I want to be one of
- 1:18:17Speaker 3: the guys they build around. We had traded for Cutler
- 1:18:19Speaker 3: of the year before. We always had a good rapport.
- 1:18:21Speaker 3: Like I thought we were onto something. You just had
- 1:18:24Speaker 3: a great year, you know, obviously playing for the NFC Championship,
- 1:18:28Speaker 3: and you know we came up short, but we were building.
- 1:18:31Speaker 3: And now I was going to the team that was
- 1:18:33Speaker 3: the worst team in the league. You know, we had
- 1:18:35Speaker 3: just drafted cam we had just hired Ron Rivera, and
- 1:18:39Speaker 3: there was no off season. Those guys never did a
- 1:18:42Speaker 3: thing because of the lockout. So the first time they
- 1:18:44Speaker 3: ever practiced was day one a training camp, which was
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: the day I rolled in. Like we all got there
- 1:18:50Speaker 3: at the same time and we're like, we got to
- 1:18:52Speaker 3: put this thing together and go try to be competitive
- 1:18:54Speaker 3: with a rookie quarterback, a rookie head coach, a bunch
- 1:18:57Speaker 3: of new pieces. We were fortunate we had a lot
- 1:19:00Speaker 3: of really good players that were on the team from
- 1:19:01Speaker 3: the year before, and we made it work. And the
- 1:19:04Speaker 3: year after year we built it and looking back, it
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: was the best experience, like to be a part of
- 1:19:08Speaker 3: building that and ending, you know, going to the super
- 1:19:10Speaker 3: Bowl and having that year. But it was going there.
- 1:19:14Speaker 13: I was like, I was like, fuck, like, yeah, are
- 1:19:18Speaker 13: we gonna be any good?
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: You know, you leave one of the best teams in
- 1:19:20Speaker 3: the league, biggest market, huge city to go to Carolina.
- 1:19:23Speaker 13: I didn't know where Charlotte was, right, And now I
- 1:19:25Speaker 13: live there.
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: I know, dude, And now it's like you spend you
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: spend nine years there and you're right, like you got
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: to be a part of like building something. Yeah, you
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: guys had a core group of guys. Yeah, what was
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: it like like playing with Cam Newton being coached by
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: Roma Vera Because he's in Washington now, which is where
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: I played for five years, So everybody seems really excited
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: about him and talks about how good of.
- 1:19:44Speaker 11: A leader he is.
- 1:19:44Speaker 3: He's a great leader. The best thing we had in Carolina.
- 1:19:48Speaker 3: Why it worked so they he inherited a lot of
- 1:19:51Speaker 3: really good pieces. Ryan Khalil, Jonathan Stewart, D'Angelo Williams, Jordan Gross, Steve.
- 1:19:57Speaker 13: Smith, Steve Smith.
- 1:19:58Speaker 3: They even though they had had a bad year in
- 1:20:00Speaker 3: twenty ten, they had a lot of really good players,
- 1:20:04Speaker 3: so that was an advantage. So we got the number
- 1:20:06Speaker 3: one overall pick. We take Cam, but he came into
- 1:20:08Speaker 3: a locker room where there was a lot of really
- 1:20:10Speaker 3: good players. John Beeson at the time, who was the
- 1:20:13Speaker 3: best linebacker in the league. He was a teammate of
- 1:20:14Speaker 3: mine in college and buddy of mine. So there was
- 1:20:17Speaker 3: a lot of really good pieces to begin with, the
- 1:20:19Speaker 3: good leaders, strong veterans, and then the rest of us
- 1:20:23Speaker 3: kind of came in and pieced it together.
- 1:20:25Speaker 13: But the best thing that we had, the reason we
- 1:20:27Speaker 13: had that five.
- 1:20:27Speaker 3: To six year run of playoffs, super Bowls, playoff wins,
- 1:20:31Speaker 3: like winning the division. Our best players were like our studs,
- 1:20:36Speaker 3: and they were the first guy in line. They were
- 1:20:39Speaker 3: the hardest workers, They were the best guys in the
- 1:20:41Speaker 3: locker room. Thomas Davis like, we were very lucky in
- 1:20:45Speaker 3: that regard. And Ron had been having good awareness he
- 1:20:48Speaker 3: knew that the locker room was taken care of by
- 1:20:51Speaker 3: these stars. Luke, Keakley, Cam Thomas, Ryan Kleil, I can sue.
- 1:20:58Speaker 3: I mean, you go on and on and name all
- 1:21:00Speaker 3: these but all these really good players set the tone
- 1:21:03Speaker 3: for everybody. So if you came into our locker room,
- 1:21:06Speaker 3: you were not as good as any of those players.
- 1:21:09Speaker 3: So you were below them on the totem pole. You
- 1:21:11Speaker 3: had no choice but to work as hard as them,
- 1:21:13Speaker 3: or else you were gonna be You're gonna be gone.
- 1:21:16Speaker 3: There was no ability to survive if you weren't willing
- 1:21:19Speaker 3: to keep up with the best players because they were.
- 1:21:21Speaker 13: At the top of the list.
- 1:21:23Speaker 3: That culture really allowed us to deal with adversity, deal
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: with setbacks, deal with injury, deal because it never ruined us.
- 1:21:32Speaker 13: Like it was just a really unique group of guys.
- 1:21:35Speaker 3: That played better collectively than we maybe were individually.
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: Yeah, how what was it like playing with because that's
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: like he's the all time, Yeah, he's he's the best.
- 1:21:45Speaker 13: He's the best.
- 1:21:47Speaker 3: People ask me all the time, Brian or Lacker, Louke Keighley.
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: I when I joined I played with two of the best,
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: And yeah, I mean, obviously college is different, but you've
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: you've seen Beson.
- 1:21:58Speaker 3: F Beson, I mean, I've played with I've been very fortunate.
- 1:22:02Speaker 3: I've played with some of the best middle linebackers ever.
- 1:22:07Speaker 3: Brian first ballot Hall of Famer obviously resume Luke. I
- 1:22:13Speaker 3: didn't play with Brian when he was super young. When
- 1:22:16Speaker 3: I got there, he was in your like seven or eight.
- 1:22:18Speaker 3: I mean he was coming off he was defense. I
- 1:22:21Speaker 3: mean he was Brian was as I don't know if
- 1:22:25Speaker 3: I ever had seen anyone up until that point as
- 1:22:27Speaker 3: good as him. He was six', four he was two
- 1:22:29Speaker 3: hundred and fifty, pounds he was long.
- 1:22:31Speaker 11: Run he was.
- 1:22:32Speaker 3: Unbelievable luke was equally as, Incredible like just you couldn't
- 1:22:39Speaker 3: practice against him because he'd ruined. Practice he knew every
- 1:22:42Speaker 3: play that we were going to. Run what Made luke
- 1:22:44Speaker 3: different was he wasn't like you're, like you, know we
- 1:22:47Speaker 3: all joke like the white guy on the on the scouting.
- 1:22:50Speaker 3: Report everyone says the same things about. Him he gives great,
- 1:22:53Speaker 3: Effort eddy smart. Lines everybody up plays, hard second, effort
- 1:22:59Speaker 3: not the most. Town it's the, same whether it's a D,
- 1:23:02Speaker 3: n a linebacker or see every guy that's like the running,
- 1:23:05Speaker 3: joke right during the scouting. Intro the thing About luke
- 1:23:09Speaker 3: was he was all of those, things but he ran
- 1:23:12Speaker 3: for four and he was he had.
- 1:23:15Speaker 11: Tangibles he was like he could jump.
- 1:23:17Speaker 3: Out he was the most physically gifted guy on the
- 1:23:20Speaker 3: field at any given, time and he knew every play
- 1:23:23Speaker 3: you were going to run and he so he was
- 1:23:25Speaker 3: just the ultimate combination where you had no chance against.
- 1:23:30Speaker 3: Him he was that. Good and he was like that in,
- 1:23:33Speaker 3: practice like he'd ruin our. Practices they would if we
- 1:23:35Speaker 3: wanted to run like a, reverse say we were going
- 1:23:37Speaker 3: to run like a trick, play they would Run shula Or.
- 1:23:41Speaker 3: Chud dolphins coordinator would go To ron and be, like,
- 1:23:43Speaker 3: hey we're going to run it on play six of the.
- 1:23:46Speaker 13: Script can you not Have luke in because.
- 1:23:50Speaker 3: You he would be in the. Back he would just
- 1:23:52Speaker 3: run through the middle and he would tag off the
- 1:23:54Speaker 3: guy in the backfield before you got the playoff and
- 1:23:57Speaker 3: we couldn't get the rep at. It so like they
- 1:23:58Speaker 3: would put in like the back of guy just so
- 1:24:01Speaker 3: we could get like a real look because he'd ruin.
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: It Damn Aj, klein, no, no no, disrespect Sam.
- 1:24:07Speaker 3: Aj if you're watching, this you were the Sam it wasn't, you,
- 1:24:10Speaker 3: Buddy but, no Like luke was just he's just he's just.
- 1:24:14Speaker 13: DIFFERENT i, mean in my mind he's the first Ballot
- 1:24:16Speaker 13: hall Of. FAMER i DON'T i.
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: Wish all that stuff because who knows how long he
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: would have. Played who knows if he had the desire
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: to play, it. Whatever but you could tell his game
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: was changing over time because what was that little collar
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: thing he went? On what did? That what did that?
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: Measure like?
- 1:24:30Speaker 3: Collar it was like something that he felt really strongly
- 1:24:32Speaker 3: on that that gave him some protection and he still
- 1:24:35Speaker 3: believes strongly in it to this. Day that allowed him
- 1:24:36Speaker 3: to play as long as he. DID i just hope
- 1:24:39Speaker 3: that they don't Hold luke's. LONGEVY i think he would
- 1:24:42Speaker 3: played nine. Years in my, mind he's on the mount
- 1:24:46Speaker 3: rushmore of the best to ever.
- 1:24:49Speaker 13: And in my mind it's a no.
- 1:24:50Speaker 3: Brainer will the voters hold that against him because of
- 1:24:53Speaker 3: his you, know long, JEY i don't.
- 1:24:55Speaker 13: KNOW i hope. Not but the guy is an absolute.
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: Stud, yeah because it's kind of similar with Like Patrick
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: willis feeling played like nine years and he kind of
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: abruptly retired because he's like my feet hurt basically because
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: we were talking With brian about it last, week.
- 1:25:09Speaker 11: About Zach thomas and why he's not in, it and he's,
- 1:25:12Speaker 11: like you got all.
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: These all these writers who they're the only ones to the.
- 1:25:15Speaker 11: Vote and he's talking about maybe you do.
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: Fifty fifty percent, players fifty percent, riders or fifty percent
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: guys who were in The Pro.
- 1:25:21Speaker 11: Bowl but, yeah, Man luke was like he's the.
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: Standard like in my, HEAD i wanted to be called
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: Poor Man's Luke.
- 1:25:29Speaker 11: Keigley, no you know WHAT i, Mean like that's. It,
- 1:25:31Speaker 11: yeah like that's compliment to Be he was the.
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: SET i remember that game he had like twenty something
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: tackles in one of his one of his first.
- 1:25:39Speaker 3: Years and then after the, game he's going to clean
- 1:25:41Speaker 3: up the water. Cooler, yeah like he's going to clean
- 1:25:43Speaker 3: up the locker room and throw the trash out like.
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: M clard cambro put on his.
- 1:25:47Speaker 11: Glasses he put on.
- 1:25:47Speaker 3: His, glasses he walk out in his collar. Shirt he'd
- 1:25:50Speaker 3: clean up the, garbage he'd put this stuff away and
- 1:25:52Speaker 3: he'd ask you if you want to, go you want
- 1:25:53Speaker 3: to come, over and like he would he he's just
- 1:25:57Speaker 3: a SPECIAL i don't know how because it is it.
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: True that he had no TVs and, stuff and his
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: uh is, True like, no he hasn't plays.
- 1:26:07Speaker 11: Into the no.
- 1:26:07Speaker 3: No when he was a young kid living in his
- 1:26:09Speaker 3: apartment and. Stuff, yeah he had very, little bare. Bones.
- 1:26:12Speaker 4: Minimal he's just a.
- 1:26:13Speaker 3: Minimal he's just it's just his.
- 1:26:14Speaker 13: Personality he's not a flair.
- 1:26:16Speaker 3: Guy he doesn't need for a, lot he doesn't look
- 1:26:18Speaker 3: for a, lot he doesn't need a lot of, attention
- 1:26:20Speaker 3: he doesn't need a lot of. Accolade, like he's just
- 1:26:22Speaker 3: not his. Style he's just a humble.
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: Just he.
- 1:26:26Speaker 3: Is people throw around like he's a normal guy a,
- 1:26:29Speaker 3: lot like if anyone's a normal, guy it's.
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: Him, Yeah Thomas davis sees somebody WHO i ONLY i
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: would only know throughout like THE nfl p a h
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: but all of a sudden a stable one time and
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: he was he like chicken fingers and ketchup or burger
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: and talk about how he's just a shitty his entire
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: career and played.
- 1:26:45Speaker 11: As long as he. Did were you in the same
- 1:26:47Speaker 11: cloth or were you somebody who took care of?
- 1:26:48Speaker 3: Yourself So thomas is another guy that was just an absolute.
- 1:26:52Speaker 3: Freak we used to joke like his head was three
- 1:26:55Speaker 3: times and he ran he was, Faster like he was
- 1:26:58Speaker 3: faster when he was in his twelve year than he
- 1:27:00Speaker 3: was when he was in his second. Year like he
- 1:27:03Speaker 3: was an abs of stud when him and him and
- 1:27:05Speaker 3: we had Him beason and And luke on the same
- 1:27:08Speaker 3: team one. Time you, know it was for a short
- 1:27:11Speaker 3: time period of, time but then Obviously luke And thomas
- 1:27:14Speaker 3: were together for nine, years maybe eight, years whatever it.
- 1:27:19Speaker 13: Was, Yeah.
- 1:27:21Speaker 3: Thomas thomas was just one of those guys that you'd,
- 1:27:23Speaker 3: like he'd piss you off because he'd eat chicken fingers
- 1:27:26Speaker 3: And french fries and you're like starving yourself and testing
- 1:27:29Speaker 3: your blood and having chefs make you.
- 1:27:31Speaker 13: Stuff and Then thomas.
- 1:27:32Speaker 3: Would come to practice and he'd be the fastest guy
- 1:27:34Speaker 3: in the, field and he'd his head was made of.
- 1:27:36Speaker 3: Concrete and at the end of, practice you're, like, Hey,
- 1:27:40Speaker 3: thomas how are. You, Yeah i'm. Good, No i'm. Good, Yeah,
- 1:27:42Speaker 3: No i'm not that. Tired i'm. Fine you, know it's
- 1:27:44Speaker 3: just some guys are just built. Different, no that was never.
- 1:27:47Speaker 3: ME i was never that. Guy FROM i learned very
- 1:27:51Speaker 3: quickly in. College this was probably the turning point of my.
- 1:27:54Speaker 3: CAREER i learned very quickly in college WHEN i looked
- 1:27:57Speaker 3: around the locker, room AND i went to summer workouts
- 1:27:59Speaker 3: and wasrunning next to guys and in the weight room
- 1:28:02Speaker 3: lifting next to, guys AND i took inventory of what
- 1:28:04Speaker 3: everyone else was able to do THAT i wasn't able to.
- 1:28:06Speaker 3: DO i realized very quickly IF i didn't do things
- 1:28:11Speaker 3: they weren't, DOING i wasn't going to. SURVIVE i JUST
- 1:28:14Speaker 3: i wasn't physically gifted like they. Were to keep, up
- 1:28:18Speaker 3: LIKE i had to go the extra. MILE i had
- 1:28:21Speaker 3: to do more than they were willing to, do and
- 1:28:24Speaker 3: that was the only WAY i could close the gap
- 1:28:26Speaker 3: and be in that, echelon like upper echelon of.
- 1:28:29Speaker 13: Guys so the WAY i could.
- 1:28:30Speaker 3: Have played in the league and like, survived BUT i
- 1:28:34Speaker 3: never would have like played and like and like had
- 1:28:37Speaker 3: production and been able to be consistent and. Whatnot SO
- 1:28:39Speaker 3: i had, to like, train and the WAY i, trained
- 1:28:43Speaker 3: and the WAY i ate and supplements and blood testing and,
- 1:28:47Speaker 3: like do everything humanly possible to close that gap on
- 1:28:52Speaker 3: these especially the young kids that would come in every
- 1:28:54Speaker 3: year and just be better than the crop that were
- 1:28:57Speaker 3: the app last. YEAR i learned that very early in my,
- 1:28:59Speaker 3: career And i'm thankful for it BECAUSE i was exposed
- 1:29:03Speaker 3: to so many kids that were just better athletes than.
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: Me, Right, oh, WELL i think it's a testament. TOO i,
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: mean you play a fourteen year, career it kind of
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: shows that kind of. Discipline, yeah when you get done
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: with your time In carolina and get did you get
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: released or it was just your?
- 1:29:17Speaker 11: Contract?
- 1:29:18Speaker 3: No they, no they cut?
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: Me and then you play another year In. Seattle, yep
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: what made you want to do? That you play thirteen,
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: years you play nine, Years you have all your success With?
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: Carolina were you? Hoping were you disappointed when they released?
- 1:29:28Speaker 11: You?
- 1:29:29Speaker 3: Yeah so so my for my first ten years in the,
- 1:29:32Speaker 3: LEAGUE i was very, Healthy LIKE i played every, DOWN
- 1:29:35Speaker 3: i played every. GAME i didn't miss a game for ten.
- 1:29:37Speaker 3: Years and then in my eleventh, SEASON i broke my.
- 1:29:40Speaker 3: Foot in my twelfth, SEASON i broke it. Again SO
- 1:29:44Speaker 3: i played portions of both those. Seasons year, eleven year,
- 1:29:47Speaker 3: Twelve so this was twenty, seventeen twenty. Eighteen so, LIKE
- 1:29:51Speaker 3: i was never the hurt, guy and now all of a,
- 1:29:53Speaker 3: Sudden i'm the hurt. Guy and it was the same,
- 1:29:55Speaker 3: foot same. Bone did you have a pin put? IN
- 1:29:58Speaker 3: i had a pin put. In it cracked it broke
- 1:30:00Speaker 3: again on. Me it was just a long two. Years
- 1:30:04Speaker 3: so then twenty, NINETEEN i played the entire season AND
- 1:30:08Speaker 3: i was. FINE i probably had sixty catches fifty like
- 1:30:12Speaker 3: it was a good. Year like it wasn't when my
- 1:30:14Speaker 3: years were, prior but it was solid six hundred and
- 1:30:16Speaker 3: something yards. LIKE i could still, play, played was, healthy
- 1:30:20Speaker 3: had no. Issues so we struggled as a. Team that's
- 1:30:23Speaker 3: the Year ron got fired and going into the off,
- 1:30:27Speaker 3: Season cam missed the entire.
- 1:30:29Speaker 13: Season he was, injured so in the off season there
- 1:30:32Speaker 13: was a lot of.
- 1:30:32Speaker 3: Speculation they, eventually of course let go Of, cam so
- 1:30:35Speaker 3: they let go of, me they let go Of, cam
- 1:30:37Speaker 3: they hired a new, coach so there was a lot
- 1:30:39Speaker 3: of organizational.
- 1:30:41Speaker 13: Shift SO i wasn't.
- 1:30:42Speaker 3: SURPRISED i had a good feeling when the season ended
- 1:30:45Speaker 3: that that was the end of the road for me In.
- 1:30:46Speaker 3: CAROLINA i was actually down at The Super bowl working
- 1:30:49Speaker 3: doing SOME tv stuff down In miami and THE gm
- 1:30:52Speaker 3: called me and he's, like, hey you. AROUND i was like,
- 1:30:55Speaker 3: yeah and he was. Great Marty herney treated me and
- 1:30:58Speaker 3: the guys really. Well he's In washington right now and he's, like,
- 1:31:01Speaker 3: HEY i just. Landed i'd love to meet and just,
- 1:31:03Speaker 3: talk so LIKE i knew what was. COMING i was
- 1:31:06Speaker 3: grateful that he flew. Down he did it face to.
- 1:31:08Speaker 3: Face we ended on very good. TERMS i had no.
- 1:31:10Speaker 3: Animosity it was just time to move, on you. Know
- 1:31:14Speaker 3: so then the big conversation was AM i done? Playing
- 1:31:17Speaker 3: like DO i have anything left in the? Tank AND
- 1:31:19Speaker 3: i knew in my heart THAT i could still play
- 1:31:22Speaker 3: LIKE i was, Healthy my feet were finally good for
- 1:31:25Speaker 3: the first time in a long, time AND i, knew
- 1:31:29Speaker 3: LIKE i didn't want to look back and have any.
- 1:31:30Speaker 3: Regrets BUT i also wasn't going to go play for
- 1:31:34Speaker 3: no money and go play on a shit team and
- 1:31:36Speaker 3: just be like the good old guy in the locker.
- 1:31:38Speaker 4: Room LIKE i was very.
- 1:31:39Speaker 3: CLEAR i was, like If i'm coming to play and
- 1:31:41Speaker 3: you want me to, Come i'm coming to, play and.
- 1:31:43Speaker 11: You had the desire To, yeah that was one, Too like,
- 1:31:46Speaker 11: ye your body felt.
- 1:31:47Speaker 13: Good, YEAH i KNEW i could. PLAY i always enjoyed
- 1:31:51Speaker 13: the off. SEASON i loved.
- 1:31:52Speaker 3: TRAINING i love that like daily grind of working, Out
- 1:31:55Speaker 3: and that's WHY i don't do it anymore Because i'm
- 1:31:58Speaker 3: like over. It but WHEN i was in, it LIKE i,
- 1:31:59Speaker 3: WAS i could do it every, day WHETHER i wanted
- 1:32:02Speaker 3: to or. NOT i could be very. DISCIPLINED i didn't
- 1:32:04Speaker 3: always like, it BUT I i could do it and never,
- 1:32:08Speaker 3: waiver never miss a Day like that kept me going
- 1:32:12Speaker 3: AND i KNEW i still had it to do. That
- 1:32:14Speaker 3: SO i was LIKE i told my, AGE i was,
- 1:32:15Speaker 3: like let's see what interest is out?
- 1:32:17Speaker 13: There like what teams are they any?
- 1:32:19Speaker 3: Good were they going to pay? Me, Like i'm not
- 1:32:21Speaker 3: just gonna go be a charity case, Right Like i'm
- 1:32:23Speaker 3: not just gonna go take a roster spot just to
- 1:32:25Speaker 3: be the guy giving advice in the locker.
- 1:32:27Speaker 13: Room LIKE i didn't want to be that.
- 1:32:27Speaker 3: Guy, no it's a good.
- 1:32:29Speaker 4: Game but that wasn't for.
- 1:32:30Speaker 13: ME i didn't want to do.
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: That that just.
- 1:32:31Speaker 3: Wasn't that wasn't for. ME i had some opportunities with
- 1:32:34Speaker 3: SOME tv stuff THAT i could have gone in and
- 1:32:36Speaker 3: taken a role. There sure that's WHAT i was. Asking,
- 1:32:38Speaker 3: YEAH i an offer on the table AND i signed
- 1:32:42Speaker 3: actually before, that which was my eventual deal With. Fox
- 1:32:45Speaker 3: we actually signed that BEFORE i ended up playing that
- 1:32:47Speaker 3: year In, seattle KNOWING i was going to play a
- 1:32:49Speaker 3: year and then transition in SO i could have gone
- 1:32:51Speaker 3: into it right. Away little DID i, KNOW i signed
- 1:32:55Speaker 3: In february And MARCH covid, happened so it was twenty.
- 1:32:59Speaker 3: Twenty so we had all these big. Dreams so it
- 1:33:02Speaker 3: came down To buffalo And. Seattle AND i actually was
- 1:33:06Speaker 3: With Josh allen today AND i was, like, DUDE i
- 1:33:09Speaker 3: think sometimes like what could have?
- 1:33:11Speaker 11: Been?
- 1:33:11Speaker 3: Right like whood Have they became the best. Offense and
- 1:33:14Speaker 3: all my old coaches were, There dorsey like my Original
- 1:33:19Speaker 3: titan coach that got fired In. Chicago hu's the titand
- 1:33:21Speaker 3: coach McDermott was my, coordinator THE. Gm there was our ASSISTANT,
- 1:33:25Speaker 3: gm being like all my guys were In. Buffalo but
- 1:33:28Speaker 3: there was something about going out and playing With. Russ
- 1:33:30Speaker 3: AND i had always played Against seattle for. Years we
- 1:33:33Speaker 3: were always in the playoffs against, Them we had battles against,
- 1:33:36Speaker 3: them AND i always had a ton of respect for
- 1:33:37Speaker 3: their team and their culture and their ability to win
- 1:33:40Speaker 3: consistently And russ and all. That, yeah so we looked
- 1:33:44Speaker 3: at it as a little bit of an.
- 1:33:45Speaker 13: Adventure you.
- 1:33:45Speaker 3: KNOW i was going to our whole family was going
- 1:33:47Speaker 3: to move To. Seattle we were going to live in
- 1:33:48Speaker 3: a condo and our kids were going to live in
- 1:33:50Speaker 3: a new, city and we were gonna go they were
- 1:33:51Speaker 3: going to go to school, there AND i was going
- 1:33:53Speaker 3: to play in that crazy stadium like it was going
- 1:33:55Speaker 3: to be a whole. Thing and Then march of twenty
- 1:33:57Speaker 3: twenty the world. Shutdown so where were you In march twenty.
- 1:34:01Speaker 3: TWENTY i was living In charlotte training so instead of
- 1:34:05Speaker 3: moving there for, OTAs we have no off, season we
- 1:34:07Speaker 3: have no mini camp we have SO i don't do
- 1:34:10Speaker 3: a thing With seattle Until. July at that, point you
- 1:34:13Speaker 3: didn't even know if training camp was gonna you, know
- 1:34:15Speaker 3: if training camp was gonna. Happen and then when you
- 1:34:16Speaker 3: do get to training, camp you're sitting around in a,
- 1:34:18Speaker 3: mass you're. Tracing you can't have you can't sit in the,
- 1:34:22Speaker 3: cafeteria you can't sit in the locker. Room your family
- 1:34:27Speaker 3: doesn't come to the. Game there's no crowd in the.
- 1:34:29Speaker 3: Stadius you're playing In. Seattle for anyone who's played a
- 1:34:32Speaker 3: game In, seattle.
- 1:34:33Speaker 11: Oh it's.
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: Incredible it's the most crazy experience.
- 1:34:35Speaker 3: Ever And i'm, like, Man i'm gonna finally be on
- 1:34:37Speaker 3: the other side of it where they're not booing my.
- 1:34:39Speaker 13: Ass there wasn't a soul in.
- 1:34:41Speaker 3: The, stadium so like everything that to me made the game,
- 1:34:45Speaker 3: fun hanging out with the, guys the, camaraderie the locker.
- 1:34:48Speaker 3: Room we weren't allowed to meet each other outside the.
- 1:34:51Speaker 3: Building you weren't allowed to go to team, dinners you
- 1:34:53Speaker 3: weren't allowed to go to.
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: Lunch trazy when.
- 1:34:55Speaker 3: You got when you went on the, road when you
- 1:34:57Speaker 3: got to the, state when you got to the hotel
- 1:34:58Speaker 3: on the. ROAD i feel the wedding Was saturday night
- 1:35:01Speaker 3: in your buddies and going out to dinner and just
- 1:35:03Speaker 3: like taking a break before team meeting and just going
- 1:35:05Speaker 3: out and have a great steak dinner or whatever you.
- 1:35:07Speaker 13: Went we weren't allowed to leave the.
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: Home it's, crazy like say we were, teammates like when
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: we got done with practice and everything, else you couldn't
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: give me.
- 1:35:13Speaker 11: A right home in a.
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: Car, Again, yeah you're not allowed to be around any
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: teammate or if you got, call you just you.
- 1:35:20Speaker 3: Just FELT i felt very, disconnected which was never My
- 1:35:24Speaker 3: that was never my. Deal LIKE i always loved all of,
- 1:35:27Speaker 3: it like being with the guys and bullshitting and busting
- 1:35:30Speaker 3: balls and that was always the fun, part and then
- 1:35:32Speaker 3: the football was just the easy. Part you had none of.
- 1:35:36Speaker 3: It so now you're the new. Guy you're the old.
- 1:35:38Speaker 3: Guy you're used to doing things your, way and you
- 1:35:40Speaker 3: go into a system that's very particular about doing things
- 1:35:43Speaker 3: The seattle. Way and it just wasn't a Good it
- 1:35:46Speaker 3: wasn't a good. Match it was just it was. Tough
- 1:35:49Speaker 3: AND i don't know if anybody WHEN i signed, there
- 1:35:51Speaker 3: no one imagined what twenty twenty would look. Like no
- 1:35:54Speaker 3: one could predict. It so just all things, considered it
- 1:35:57Speaker 3: wasn't the ending THAT i was hoping, for and that's
- 1:36:02Speaker 3: the way it. Goes BUT i knew halfway through that
- 1:36:05Speaker 3: year my other foot ruptured AND i was dealing with,
- 1:36:09Speaker 3: that AND i was, Like i'm, Done LIKE i can't
- 1:36:11Speaker 3: do it. Anymore i'm. Done i'm GLAD i did this
- 1:36:14Speaker 3: BECAUSE i would have had, Regrets like at LEAST i was,
- 1:36:18Speaker 3: Like i'm, done i can't do it. Anymore i'm, Physically
- 1:36:21Speaker 3: i'm mentally Like i'm done And i'm ready to move
- 1:36:24Speaker 3: on with my. Life SO i flew home From. Seattle
- 1:36:26Speaker 3: we lost in the playoffs that, year AND i. KNEW
- 1:36:29Speaker 3: i was, like There's i'm. Done i'm moving.
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: On so what's it like on the other, Side, man,
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: Busy i'll tell.
- 1:36:35Speaker 3: You man the WAY i imagined retirement was LIKE i
- 1:36:40Speaker 3: took up, tennis play.
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: TENNIS i played a couple of, games SO i started.
- 1:36:45Speaker 3: Taking like lessons like we belong at a club like
- 1:36:48Speaker 3: lessons and like someone teaching me to actually. Play and
- 1:36:50Speaker 3: Again i'm not. GOOD i don't play matches or. Anything
- 1:36:52Speaker 3: but LIKE i, was LIKE i envisioned my day like wake,
- 1:36:55Speaker 3: up take the kids to, school go to the, club
- 1:36:58Speaker 3: sit in the, steam maybe play tennis with the, guys
- 1:37:02Speaker 3: go to, lunch come, home.
- 1:37:04Speaker 4: Chill like that to me was.
- 1:37:06Speaker 3: Retirement that is so far from my. Retirement i'm like
- 1:37:10Speaker 3: more busy now Than i've ever been a.
- 1:37:12Speaker 13: Worker i'm a.
- 1:37:13Speaker 3: Worker and now you're saying yes to all the things
- 1:37:15Speaker 3: you always said no. To you're trying to like make
- 1:37:17Speaker 3: up for lost. Time it was easy to say no
- 1:37:19Speaker 3: WHEN i was, PLAYING i, Can't i'm in the middle of.
- 1:37:22Speaker 3: Season NO i, Can't i'm. Training, No i'm. Kidding but
- 1:37:24Speaker 3: now you're, like, Yeah i'll try.
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: THAT i haven't done that.
- 1:37:26Speaker 3: Before Yeah i'll try, it and that and you and
- 1:37:29Speaker 3: then instead of being able to go play golf in
- 1:37:31Speaker 3: the afternoon on A, friday you find, yourself like you,
- 1:37:34Speaker 3: know spending time on other.
- 1:37:35Speaker 13: Ship you're, like what AM i doing with my?
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: Life you've got a couple things and big things going,
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: on like you signed With fox, yep and you're also
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: building what is it called audio rama audi rama With
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: Vince vaughan, yep which is what the? Fuck how how
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: you pull that? Off?
- 1:37:47Speaker 3: Like so that's so, good that's actually a Fun Vince.
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: Vaughn, yeah so.
- 1:37:52Speaker 3: Yeah so OBVIOUSLY i got this stuff With, fox And
- 1:37:54Speaker 3: i'll be able to call you, know their number one
- 1:37:56Speaker 3: game this. Year their a, crew you. Know and then
- 1:37:59Speaker 3: obviously There's brady, element which is when he comes, in
- 1:38:02Speaker 3: he's technically THE a guy in the. Future it's just
- 1:38:04Speaker 3: a matter of when he. Retires, yeah it's a lot of.
- 1:38:06Speaker 3: MONEY i did not get that much. Money if you're
- 1:38:10Speaker 3: wondering if that's the big announcement, here that's the big.
- 1:38:12Speaker 3: CLICKBAIT i did not make three hundred and thirty seven
- 1:38:15Speaker 3: million if that doesn't surprise you.
- 1:38:16Speaker 13: Guys but it's.
- 1:38:18Speaker 3: COOL i mean to Call Super, bowl call the playoff
- 1:38:20Speaker 3: games this, year this you, know the you, know, football
- 1:38:23Speaker 3: the prime game in the, afternoon what they call.
- 1:38:24Speaker 13: It america's the Super. Bowl, yeah, yeah out boys.
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: Crash, Yeah so that's gonna be a cor.
- 1:38:32Speaker 3: Opportunity i'll do that With Kevin, burkhart who was my
- 1:38:34Speaker 3: partner last, Year so we'll call that. Crew so that
- 1:38:38Speaker 3: that obviously takes up some, time especially during the, season
- 1:38:40Speaker 3: but it's a blast calling the games and being around
- 1:38:42Speaker 3: is really.
- 1:38:43Speaker 13: Cool but then the Audio urama thing what started is
- 1:38:46Speaker 13: SO i had.
- 1:38:47Speaker 3: This idea for a podcast THAT i actually started under
- 1:38:49Speaker 3: that umbrella Called You. Think and so my dad was
- 1:38:52Speaker 3: my football, coach my high school football. COACH i grew
- 1:38:54Speaker 3: up around it all. BOYS i had two, brothers so
- 1:38:57Speaker 3: like youth sports and, sports that's all we. Did we
- 1:39:00Speaker 3: Didn't we weren't very well. Rounded we went to school
- 1:39:02Speaker 3: and we played. SPORTS i couldn't make a. CAMPFIRE i
- 1:39:05Speaker 3: don't know how to tie a tie a hook on
- 1:39:08Speaker 3: a fishing, pole like you've never been, hunting like we
- 1:39:11Speaker 3: just we just never did that. Stuff AND i wish
- 1:39:14Speaker 3: SOMETIMES i learned, it But i'm very, grateful like that
- 1:39:16Speaker 3: was our. Upbringing we were in, sports we were on,
- 1:39:18Speaker 3: teams and that's what we didts. It summer vacation was
- 1:39:22Speaker 3: going with my dad's high school team to sleep away
- 1:39:25Speaker 3: camp and sleeping on the floor as a sixth grader
- 1:39:27Speaker 3: with high school kids and the next morning getting up
- 1:39:30Speaker 3: and trying to.
- 1:39:30Speaker 13: Keep up at, practice like that was our.
- 1:39:32Speaker 3: Life so fast. FORWARD i was, like you know, what
- 1:39:34Speaker 3: Now i'm a dad AND i got three young kids
- 1:39:38Speaker 3: that are now entering into sports at various, levels AND
- 1:39:42Speaker 3: i don't like the amount of decisions that these kids
- 1:39:45Speaker 3: have to. Make now what team to play, for how
- 1:39:46Speaker 3: many sports to, play what school to go? To do
- 1:39:49Speaker 3: you play?
- 1:39:49Speaker 13: Travel do you play Rec it's.
- 1:39:51Speaker 3: Wild it is not what we grew up, doing where
- 1:39:54Speaker 3: you just played with your buddies and your town.
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: And and if you got lucky, enough they built a traveling,
- 1:39:58Speaker 1: team enjoy.
- 1:40:00Speaker 3: Whatever but when football season, ended you rolled into, basketball
- 1:40:02Speaker 3: and then the last day of basketball you rolled into
- 1:40:04Speaker 3: baseball or track or whatever you did in the, spring
- 1:40:06Speaker 3: and there was no.
- 1:40:08Speaker 13: Decisions you just did what everyone else. Did that's not
- 1:40:10Speaker 13: the case.
- 1:40:10Speaker 3: Anymore SO i was, like there's a show here where
- 1:40:13Speaker 3: like we explore all these elements of youth, sports the
- 1:40:17Speaker 3: big business of, it the, conflict the, negative the, positive and,
- 1:40:21Speaker 3: like let's talk to, professionals let's talk to parents and
- 1:40:24Speaker 3: coaches who can better educate all of. Us and like
- 1:40:27Speaker 3: HERE i am as someone whose whole life has been,
- 1:40:29Speaker 3: sports AND i struggled doing it with my own.
- 1:40:31Speaker 13: Kids So i'm damn sure these other people don't know
- 1:40:33Speaker 13: what they're.
- 1:40:34Speaker 3: Doing so we Started You. Think SO i was having
- 1:40:36Speaker 3: dinner With vince and my Buddy Ryan, khalil who's our
- 1:40:39Speaker 3: other partner in, this and they live out IN La
- 1:40:42Speaker 3: and at the, time we were shopping it around to
- 1:40:44Speaker 3: some other podcast, platforms AND i was, like let me
- 1:40:49Speaker 3: pitch you guys on this. Idea SO i, did and
- 1:40:50Speaker 3: they call me like the day, Later they're, like, dude
- 1:40:52Speaker 3: let's just do it, Ourselves like why would we give
- 1:40:55Speaker 3: this concept to another, Platform, like let's just build our
- 1:40:59Speaker 3: own kind of framework around. It, so Through vince And
- 1:41:03Speaker 3: ryan and their connections in that, space we had a
- 1:41:05Speaker 3: private equity group that joined, us and we built a
- 1:41:07Speaker 3: really cool. Team it's Called Audio. Rama the only show
- 1:41:11Speaker 3: we have right now is my Show You, think but
- 1:41:14Speaker 3: we're in the process of scaling it out and building
- 1:41:16Speaker 3: other really, cool interesting content that we're going to house on.
- 1:41:18Speaker 13: It so that takes up a lot of.
- 1:41:20Speaker 3: Time as you well, know these shows don't just, oh
- 1:41:23Speaker 3: you do. Themselves and we're a small, startup like we're
- 1:41:26Speaker 3: doing it all like on our own and we're growing
- 1:41:27Speaker 3: and building each. Week so it's that's been. Fun we've
- 1:41:30Speaker 3: had some cool, conversations but but, again it's.
- 1:41:32Speaker 13: Time it takes time to do, shit and you, know especially.
- 1:41:35Speaker 1: When you're wanting to hit it, on like you guys
- 1:41:37Speaker 1: want to have the ownership in and nobody's gonna sit
- 1:41:39Speaker 1: there and build the.
- 1:41:39Speaker 11: Infrastrut, no you gotta do it.
- 1:41:41Speaker 1: Yourself you guys sitting around is bringing in shout Out Mikey,
- 1:41:43Speaker 1: foller by the, Way Mikey, fowler and, yeah we got
- 1:41:46Speaker 1: people scaling.
- 1:41:47Speaker 3: It with an interesting conversation With. Dave, yeah so that's
- 1:41:50Speaker 3: WHAT i was, Thinking, like you And day.
- 1:41:51Speaker 1: Have been close for a long, time and you, know
- 1:41:55Speaker 1: you were on The dave point on our, show and
- 1:41:56Speaker 1: you guys have obviously had a close relationship for a.
- 1:41:58Speaker 1: While but why when you want to get in the
- 1:42:00Speaker 1: podcast base do you not approach a guy Like.
- 1:42:02Speaker 13: Dave so that's a good.
- 1:42:04Speaker 3: Question SO i, actually through this entire time of building,
- 1:42:06Speaker 3: out you Think dave was one of the guys THAT
- 1:42:09Speaker 3: i talked to the. Most we've had conversations about doing
- 1:42:12Speaker 3: a show. Together we've had conversations about doing a show
- 1:42:15Speaker 3: on The barstool, Platform i'd say for like five.
- 1:42:18Speaker 13: Years me and him had some talks years.
- 1:42:21Speaker 3: BACK i was still playing about doing a show, together
- 1:42:25Speaker 3: like AN nfl, show and then it was, Scheduling LIKE
- 1:42:28Speaker 3: i live In charlotte at the. Time he was still
- 1:42:30Speaker 3: In boston before he went To, florida you, know and you,
- 1:42:33Speaker 3: know we're just talking through the logistics of. It we
- 1:42:35Speaker 3: actually kicked up the idea of doing it, recently but
- 1:42:39Speaker 3: With fox and MY, tv it's just there's a lot
- 1:42:42Speaker 3: of moving parts that go into. It But dave was
- 1:42:44Speaker 3: someone THAT i was in constant communication with and like
- 1:42:47Speaker 3: really bounced a lot of ideas off of. Him he
- 1:42:50Speaker 3: gave me a lot of really good insight, into you,
- 1:42:52Speaker 3: know what it's like running a podcast and what it's
- 1:42:54Speaker 3: like making content every. Week so like he was a
- 1:42:56Speaker 3: really good. Resource obviously he's done it a lot longer
- 1:42:59Speaker 3: THAN i, have And i've Known dave for god ten fifteen. Years.
- 1:43:04Speaker 13: Yea you, know When.
- 1:43:06Speaker 3: Barstool was Just Barstool, boston there was No, chicago there was,
- 1:43:10Speaker 3: nothing and so he's always Been he's always been great
- 1:43:13Speaker 3: to me and we've always had a good. Relationship but fast,
- 1:43:16Speaker 3: forward WHEN i WHEN i pitched, HIM i don't know
- 1:43:18Speaker 3: how this you think thing would have mash, LIKE i
- 1:43:20Speaker 3: don't know if it's necessarily the show For barstool or.
- 1:43:22Speaker 3: Whatnot but we talked about like we're going to own
- 1:43:25Speaker 3: it and build, it which he was, like, dude that's
- 1:43:26Speaker 3: the great. Idea theou The Mikey fowler thing was really.
- 1:43:30Speaker 3: Interesting so we had this this like consultant guy who
- 1:43:34Speaker 3: was helping us build out the platform and was very
- 1:43:36Speaker 3: connected and actually spent some time At barstool years. Ago
- 1:43:40Speaker 3: and we interviewed a woman who was going to run
- 1:43:43Speaker 3: as like our general, manager like our ops, guy like
- 1:43:45Speaker 3: our ops, person and we interviewed her and we were
- 1:43:48Speaker 3: close to signing, her closer her signing on and then
- 1:43:50Speaker 3: she had something happened personally that she decided not to
- 1:43:53Speaker 3: take the. Job so the guy who was working with
- 1:43:56Speaker 3: us Called mikey and was, like, Hey, mike gave me
- 1:43:59Speaker 3: gim little background of what we were. Building do you know,
- 1:44:02Speaker 3: Anybody and from that, conversation one thing led to, another
- 1:44:06Speaker 3: and so now we get ready to. Join we have
- 1:44:08Speaker 3: no idea any of this is. Happening so we have
- 1:44:10Speaker 3: a board call and the guy that's working with us is, like, hey,
- 1:44:13Speaker 3: guys here's the update on who we're. Hiring i'm, like,
- 1:44:16Speaker 3: Great he's, like his Name's Mikey. Fowler at the, TIME
- 1:44:19Speaker 3: i didn't know what. THAT i didn't know who that.
- 1:44:21Speaker 3: Was and he's, like he's. Coming he's coming From Barstool,
- 1:44:24Speaker 3: sports AND i.
- 1:44:26Speaker 4: Was, like.
- 1:44:26Speaker 3: FUCK i got a callport And i'm, LIKE i just
- 1:44:29Speaker 3: had talked To dave two days, ago like two days before,
- 1:44:33Speaker 3: this AND i hadn't AND i didn't mention him BECAUSE
- 1:44:35Speaker 3: i had no idea any of this was. Happening so
- 1:44:37Speaker 3: THAT i Hung SO i get off that call And i'm,
- 1:44:39Speaker 3: LIKE i, said, hey, MAN i want to chat with
- 1:44:41Speaker 3: you for a. Minute SO i called him AND i was, like,
- 1:44:43Speaker 3: hey in just the sake of being, transparent i just
- 1:44:47Speaker 3: found this out thirty minutes. Ago i'm just letting you.
- 1:44:49Speaker 3: Know like there's conversations being. Hat he was awesome about.
- 1:44:52Speaker 3: It he's like, Great he's like for him to come
- 1:44:54Speaker 3: in and Have he's, like we can't offer him that
- 1:44:56Speaker 3: at barstool and. Whatnot So dave was cool about, it
- 1:44:59Speaker 3: BUT i was, LIKE i didn't want him to think
- 1:45:01Speaker 3: THAT i was like poaching his.
- 1:45:02Speaker 1: People the moment there was there was like.
- 1:45:06Speaker 3: You, Know portinoy being being An a'm being an, asshole
- 1:45:09Speaker 3: but like professionally, businessman like he knew it was the
- 1:45:12Speaker 3: right move For. Mikey he like he, knew like it
- 1:45:16Speaker 3: was all, good like we AND i just my biggest
- 1:45:18Speaker 3: thing was LIKE i just wanted him to like full
- 1:45:20Speaker 3: transparency BECAUSE i was, LIKE i would wish you would
- 1:45:22Speaker 3: do the same thing to. Me like if you ever
- 1:45:25Speaker 3: got somebody That i've worked closely with AND i found
- 1:45:27Speaker 3: out you poached him and me and you have talked
- 1:45:29Speaker 3: and you don't even mention, it Like i'd Be i'd be,
- 1:45:31Speaker 3: like come, on. Man so like, THAT i, Said i'm
- 1:45:34Speaker 3: just doing this out of courtesy because you've always been
- 1:45:37Speaker 3: good to, me and LIKE i would hope that you
- 1:45:38Speaker 3: would treat me the same way if the roles were
- 1:45:40Speaker 3: reversed and it's been, Great do.
- 1:45:42Speaker 1: You enjoy it as much as you thought you? Would,
- 1:45:45Speaker 1: like what are the are some of the hurdles that
- 1:45:46Speaker 1: you've learned about? Building kind of LIKE i assume you
- 1:45:50Speaker 1: guys want to build an empire with.
- 1:45:51Speaker 3: It, yeah we're trying. To you, know the biggest struggle
- 1:45:54Speaker 3: that we have right now is there's no, scale Right
- 1:45:56Speaker 3: it's just my. Show so every listener has to be
- 1:46:00Speaker 3: curated organically through, me through.
- 1:46:03Speaker 13: Like we don't have social, channels we don't have other.
- 1:46:05Speaker 3: Shows like IF i came On barschool AND i started
- 1:46:09Speaker 3: my new, Show i'd be sitting here on bussing and
- 1:46:12Speaker 3: hopefully steal some of your. People they'd also listen to my,
- 1:46:15Speaker 3: show and we'd like cross, plony, right like you get
- 1:46:17Speaker 3: shows From dave And DAVE topmt and you know, whatever
- 1:46:21Speaker 3: you guys all support each. Other we're not there, yet,
- 1:46:24Speaker 3: Right so every listener we have only listens to my
- 1:46:28Speaker 3: show and that's. It so the idea, is as we
- 1:46:31Speaker 3: ramp up and we can, scale we can scale, ops
- 1:46:34Speaker 3: we can scale, production we can scale sales and all that,
- 1:46:37Speaker 3: stuff but we can also scale audience and we can
- 1:46:40Speaker 3: bring on other either existing pieces of content that come
- 1:46:43Speaker 3: within a base of. Audience, okay that's all new potential
- 1:46:47Speaker 3: listeners for you think and you think listeners now are
- 1:46:50Speaker 3: potential new listeners for SHOW, x and now if we
- 1:46:54Speaker 3: can scale that and go from one to four to
- 1:46:56Speaker 3: ten to it just raised you, know it raises the
- 1:47:00Speaker 3: the overall audience that we don't have right, now just
- 1:47:03Speaker 3: because we are a single show.
- 1:47:04Speaker 1: You've been car washing around on other shows we.
- 1:47:07Speaker 3: Do we're we don't do. Everything we get a ton
- 1:47:09Speaker 3: of like requests from everything from like mom And dad
- 1:47:12Speaker 3: blogs to bust INTO pmt to, whatever like big shows
- 1:47:18Speaker 3: to little so we were. SELECTIVE i don't have the,
- 1:47:22Speaker 3: time nor DO i want to go and just be
- 1:47:25Speaker 3: on every single person's podcast for an hour and just
- 1:47:27Speaker 3: spend my whole day sitting in a. Studio so there's
- 1:47:30Speaker 3: a balance between growing your audience and getting word out.
- 1:47:33Speaker 3: There but Also i'm not committing full time to Like
- 1:47:36Speaker 3: i'm not going to spend six hours a day doing.
- 1:47:38Speaker 13: This i'm just not going to do.
- 1:47:39Speaker 3: It, yeah so there's a little bit of a.
- 1:47:41Speaker 1: Balance, yeah BECAUSE i remember on the day Of Porn
- 1:47:43Speaker 1: noise shoot that was that was when our twenty twenty
- 1:47:45Speaker 1: one beef. Happened, well you're, like you can't do a
- 1:47:48Speaker 1: podcast and also be a decent pool. PLAYER i took
- 1:47:50Speaker 1: that this feel, like oh he remembers our twenty fifteen
- 1:47:52Speaker 1: he's taking another job at, me, RIGHT i.
- 1:47:54Speaker 3: Was not directed at. Yet, no that was that was
- 1:47:56Speaker 3: AN i have got to do a better. JOB i
- 1:47:59Speaker 3: needed to study you. More OR i did not MEAN
- 1:48:01Speaker 3: i had THE.
- 1:48:02Speaker 11: Mj you know WHAT i.
- 1:48:02Speaker 1: MEAN i had to create.
- 1:48:03Speaker 3: Something WHAT i was, doing, though IS i was subliminally
- 1:48:06Speaker 3: fueling you to just continue to push your career.
- 1:48:09Speaker 11: Forward they had trust, Me you motivated.
- 1:48:10Speaker 3: Me it's my, shoulder and everybody's got a role in, life,
- 1:48:13Speaker 3: man and sometimes you got to play the bad.
- 1:48:14Speaker 1: And he would wood blew up to me. Though it
- 1:48:16Speaker 1: is the fact That dave's, like there is NO i
- 1:48:18Speaker 1: don't think there is a.
- 1:48:19Speaker 3: God the best part is THAT i hadn't.
- 1:48:20Speaker 1: EXGED i didn't really know.
- 1:48:22Speaker 3: You he was your in, essence.
- 1:48:23Speaker 13: BOSS i guess you See eddie in the.
- 1:48:25Speaker 1: Background he kind of just like last one's Disc.
- 1:48:27Speaker 3: Eddy why do you say he?
- 1:48:28Speaker 11: GOES i thought he.
- 1:48:29Speaker 1: GOES i was thinking the same thing he said in there,
- 1:48:32Speaker 1: talking SO i didn't say.
- 1:48:33Speaker 3: Nothing david is one of the.
- 1:48:34Speaker 13: Kind he is one of the.
- 1:48:36Speaker 3: Kind do you follow up injury shows at all the?
- 1:48:38Speaker 1: COMEDIANS i, Don't, oh, BRO i just Saw dave went
- 1:48:41Speaker 1: on his. Show it's a it's an incredible. Show he's
- 1:48:43Speaker 1: a funny. Comedian But dave is just all over. MAN
- 1:48:46Speaker 1: i don't know how he does.
- 1:48:47Speaker 3: IT i respect.
- 1:48:48Speaker 1: IT i wonder how much longer he has to do
- 1:48:51Speaker 1: all the things he's.
- 1:48:51Speaker 3: Doing you, know people have always asked, me you KNOW
- 1:48:54Speaker 3: i was ON i WISH i was on one of
- 1:48:56Speaker 3: Your barstool shows not long, ago and you know they
- 1:48:59Speaker 3: always asked, That. Dave and how Long i've known The barstool.
- 1:49:01Speaker 3: GUYS i, MEAN i Knew Big cat When Big cat
- 1:49:04Speaker 3: was just. Hired we were living In chicago and they
- 1:49:06Speaker 3: expanded To Barstool chicago and they Hired Big. Cats so
- 1:49:09Speaker 3: they played in our kickball tournament probably in like two
- 1:49:12Speaker 3: thousand and eight.
- 1:49:13Speaker 13: NINE i, Mean i'm talking a long time.
- 1:49:15Speaker 3: Ago and the Thing i've always respected about The barstool,
- 1:49:19Speaker 3: guys And i've been upfront With dave about this. Too
- 1:49:22Speaker 3: it's LIKE i haven't always agreed with everything they've put,
- 1:49:25Speaker 3: out every position they've, taken Everything dave, said done other.
- 1:49:29Speaker 13: People.
- 1:49:30Speaker 3: Like the one Thing i've always respected is The barstool
- 1:49:35Speaker 3: brand is true to what it. Is it's true to.
- 1:49:38Speaker 3: Themselves they don't in today's world to be true to
- 1:49:41Speaker 3: what you are and not try to test the waters
- 1:49:44Speaker 3: and test where the wind is blowing and then try
- 1:49:46Speaker 3: to make. DECISIONS i don't always agree with, it a
- 1:49:49Speaker 3: lot of people don't agree with, it BUT i think
- 1:49:51Speaker 3: that like authenticity go to a bad is why people
- 1:49:56Speaker 3: even if they don't aren't fans Of, barstool they were
- 1:50:00Speaker 3: respect what's been built because it's a brand that's been
- 1:50:03Speaker 3: built true to themselves and what they, are and a
- 1:50:06Speaker 3: lot of times it gets themselves in, trouble and a
- 1:50:08Speaker 3: lot of time he gets. Himself but he says what he,
- 1:50:11Speaker 3: means he means what he. Says he's not worried about.
- 1:50:13Speaker 3: Pushback he's not worried about judging where the wind. Blows
- 1:50:16Speaker 3: and is this gonna get me in? Trouble is this
- 1:50:18Speaker 3: going to make me lose? Sales and AM i gonna lose?
- 1:50:20Speaker 3: Sponsors GET i respect, IT i get. IT i don't
- 1:50:25Speaker 3: always agree with him what he. SAYS i think a
- 1:50:26Speaker 3: lot of what you, Know i've said that to, him
- 1:50:29Speaker 3: BUT i respect their. Authenticity it's a nice break in
- 1:50:32Speaker 3: this reality of our world to just have people that
- 1:50:34Speaker 3: are what they, are.
- 1:50:35Speaker 1: Especially when you're going through the internet, too like you
- 1:50:37Speaker 1: can kind of shy, away like once you get corrected or,
- 1:50:40Speaker 1: whatever it's hard to shy away and start to give, Manipulated,
- 1:50:43Speaker 1: yeah to become something that you're way far away from
- 1:50:47Speaker 1: that you first started doing and to be like prolific
- 1:50:50Speaker 1: through all of that and take shots as you, go you, know,
- 1:50:53Speaker 1: correct be, unapologetic whatever all those words. Are but, yeah like,
- 1:50:57Speaker 1: barsels they stay true to let me.
- 1:50:59Speaker 3: Stay and people don't like them and that's. Okay you
- 1:51:02Speaker 3: don't have to like. Them it's not for.
- 1:51:04Speaker 1: Everybody and the thing is too people can say they
- 1:51:06Speaker 1: don't Like, barsool but they can be, like, oh BUT
- 1:51:07Speaker 1: i like spinning chick. Licks OH i Like bust with the,
- 1:51:09Speaker 1: boys and that's what's cool About BUT i don't Like.
- 1:51:12Speaker 1: BARSOOL i mean. Shows you don't have to like it.
- 1:51:14Speaker 3: All there's so much in that universe that you can
- 1:51:19Speaker 3: pick and. Choose i'll cart what you agree, with what
- 1:51:22Speaker 3: you align, with what you, Like and that's why they
- 1:51:25Speaker 3: have such a diverse offering of content and, personalities different
- 1:51:30Speaker 3: ends of the spectrum that there's something for.
- 1:51:32Speaker 13: Everyone And i've always respected that about.
- 1:51:35Speaker 11: It.
- 1:51:36Speaker 1: Yeah, WELL i don't even know what time it.
- 1:51:38Speaker 11: Is, yeah we we just a lot of your yucking it.
- 1:51:40Speaker 4: Up, man we're chilling just.

- 1:52:09Speaker 1: next THING i expect to spike on the. Show subscribe

- 1:52:39Speaker 1: Warehouse it's basically in A where does the bus travel
- 1:52:42Speaker 1: like it? No yeah toes we tod.
- 1:52:45Speaker 13: It's not only going to offer.
- 1:52:46Speaker 3: IT i wasn't sure the. Inside i've never.
- 1:52:48Speaker 1: WENT i was showing last year and was waiting on a.
- 1:52:52Speaker 1: Call we just move went off on a whim and
- 1:52:54Speaker 1: took the bus To nebraska and The university Of tennessee
- 1:52:57Speaker 1: just to see like what we would what we would
- 1:52:59Speaker 1: do in tailgates there and do a show, there and
- 1:53:02Speaker 1: it was it was.
- 1:53:03Speaker 11: Awesome.
- 1:53:04Speaker 1: Man so it's not operable. Yet everyone to day or
- 1:53:08Speaker 1: we just buy another bus because the problem is there's
- 1:53:10Speaker 1: so many absolute.
- 1:53:11Speaker 11: Parts it would cost.
- 1:53:12Speaker 1: Like just got a new.
- 1:53:13Speaker 13: Bus you guys have a lot of. Money she's got
- 1:53:15Speaker 13: a new.
- 1:53:15Speaker 3: BUS i did.
- 1:53:16Speaker 1: IT i did.
- 1:53:17Speaker 3: IT i did a show The Super bowl. Year we
- 1:53:20Speaker 3: were in The Super bowl With Big cat And. Dave
- 1:53:23Speaker 3: when they used to do like when you'd sit on the,
- 1:53:27Speaker 3: couch they used to call it something not the, rundown
- 1:53:29Speaker 3: whatever it was it. Was it wasn't P. Mt there
- 1:53:33Speaker 3: was No there was no P t at the. Time
- 1:53:35Speaker 3: it was Just Big cat And dave and whatever it
- 1:53:38Speaker 3: was they were. Driving Big cat was driving around like
- 1:53:40Speaker 3: a big R v in, essence and then they would
- 1:53:42Speaker 3: just Remember i'm talking about and like we would sit
- 1:53:45Speaker 3: and they had their shirts off and like we would
- 1:53:47Speaker 3: sit on like These i'm like a couch like, this
- 1:53:49Speaker 3: but it was In it was in an R v.
- 1:53:52Speaker 1: Vessel player.
- 1:53:56Speaker 3: And then obviously that BECAME PMTs thing before the you,
- 1:53:58Speaker 3: know the van talk and all that barstool vand talk
- 1:54:00Speaker 3: or whatever it. Was AND i remember sitting for whatever,
- 1:54:04Speaker 3: reason you barstol guys love sitting on like buses and
- 1:54:06Speaker 3: van you, know they like.
- 1:54:07Speaker 1: Come they don't come after, us but like jokingly come at,
- 1:54:11Speaker 1: us like all you've ripped our idea and stuff like.
- 1:54:13Speaker 13: That we get to do, it and we got to

- 1:54:19Speaker 3: Man this was a Blasto Garret university Of miami going down.
- 1:54:26Speaker 1: There so so here's an idea of what we want to.

- 1:54:34Speaker 11: CAN i can tell about it on.
- 1:54:35Speaker 1: Here so an IDEA i have is we did a
- 1:54:39Speaker 1: bus and spring tour this past year and we just
- 1:54:42Speaker 1: had our first kid in the middle of when spring
- 1:54:45Speaker 1: ball and all that stuff, is so we can only
- 1:54:46Speaker 1: pick three spots to go. To we went To, miama Matter,
- 1:54:48Speaker 1: Nebraska taylor's In, michigan and then we just went TO
- 1:54:51Speaker 1: uh the state's One university Of. Tennessee and so next,
- 1:54:56Speaker 1: year like building off of, that we would we would
- 1:54:59Speaker 1: just travel. There we would interview that like the head,
- 1:55:02Speaker 1: coach a couple of players whoever we could get. On
- 1:55:05Speaker 1: we built A bust And bowl game from. It but
- 1:55:07Speaker 1: going moving, forward we would like to go to more colleges,
- 1:55:10Speaker 1: obviously and each probably go to like say we went To, miami, like,
- 1:55:13Speaker 1: hey we want to go To. MIAMI i call you.
- 1:55:15Speaker 1: UP i Hey, greg it would be awesome if you
- 1:55:17Speaker 1: wanted to come and be a part of The bust
- 1:55:19Speaker 1: And spring, tour so you would come, down say we
- 1:55:21Speaker 1: would do whether we interview the head, Coach we Interviewed Ed,
- 1:55:24Speaker 1: reid there a player that's. There and then the SPIN
- 1:55:28Speaker 1: i want to come off of it is we just
- 1:55:30Speaker 1: did our first live event At zany's not too long
- 1:55:32Speaker 1: ago and it was.
- 1:55:33Speaker 11: Awesome we had on A taylor AND i bantered for
- 1:55:36Speaker 11: a while and then we had a guest come.
- 1:55:37Speaker 1: On but you get spin off saying like we're going To,
- 1:55:39Speaker 1: Miami greg's gonna be that.
- 1:55:41Speaker 3: Would be that would be the round Like Spring, bowl
- 1:55:44Speaker 3: when players are There, yeah that'd be. Fun and any
- 1:55:48Speaker 3: EXCUSE i needed to go down To, MIAMI i take.
- 1:55:49Speaker 1: It that's and you're In, charlotte, Right, yeah so that's
