Transcript
- 0:00Welcome to another edition of the Urancha Radio Podcast and
- 0:04today we're going to talk about the upcoming solar eclipse.
- 0:07And we have joining us a man by the name of Devin Landis and he
- 0:10is a Urancha book reader and he's also part of the
- 0:13International Fellowship Committee with the fellowship
- 0:15and present head of Yaya, which is the youth and young adults
- 0:19organization that studies and shares the Urancha book.
- 0:23And he's got some insights about this upcoming solar eclipse and
- 0:28its relevance and some great takeaways.
- 0:31So joining us this time up is Devin Landis on the Urantia
- 0:34Radio podcast. So I've always been curious to
- 0:44ask people who are more scientific minded to me, how
- 0:47does the general science of the Urantia Book hold up in your
- 0:51opinion? Oh, it's great.
- 0:53It enfranchises the mind, I would say, like with the
- 0:58universal mother spirit living in each creature and then maybe
- 1:04even paradisical patterns in the in the plants, in the trees
- 1:07especially. I'm always curious as to how
- 1:11they interpret the Ant your antubook.
- 1:13Are they generally pleased with its like the way that it
- 1:16describes evolution? Does it make intellectual sense
- 1:19what they're saying? Yeah, I think a good kicker is
- 1:23you could look at chemistry, the relationship between the
- 1:28periodic elements, and envisioned that as relationship
- 1:33stories told by the architects of the Master universe long,
- 1:38long, long ago. Somebody sent me a thing at
- 1:41PowerPoint and it's all it says is God and it's a PowerPoint and
- 1:46it shows all these parallel, like, you know, the intricacies
- 1:50of the zebra, you know, or how cells are formed or it's just an
- 1:54amazing thing, even on a molecular level, why things move
- 1:59around at all. I mean, what makes this move
- 2:02over there and get this, It's like this unseen forest that
- 2:06surrounds everybody, you know, that I there's so much
- 2:10satisfaction that I get like you in the Urancho book because of
- 2:14that very reason. It really makes you think about
- 2:17how things are structured. So the reason I had Devin on the
- 2:21show, Devin Landis, long time your anchovy reader, you're are
- 2:26you in the group that's going to go to the See the Eclipse coming
- 2:30up on April 9th? Yeah, yeah.
- 2:32Or April 8th, sorry. And you, you've got some unique
- 2:36perspective and I don't even know what it is.
- 2:38I have my perspective and you know, for the last seven years
- 2:42in my head I've been thinking maybe there's going to be a
- 2:44rapture or maybe there's going to be a global disaster or
- 2:48something is happening right now on Earth where we're all being
- 2:52tested. And I feel like we're in a kind
- 2:54of a seven-year period of something.
- 2:56So let's. Yeah, so let's, let's go back
- 2:59for people who aren't aware. But the first eclipse or the
- 3:03last great eclipse of the United States was the one in 2017, and
- 3:08it happened on Jesus's birthday, according to the Urantia Book on
- 3:11August 21st. Some of us, including Halbert
- 3:14Katson, who's been on this program a few times, he brought
- 3:17to me that the the next solar eclipse will happen on Jesus's
- 3:22resurrection day, which is April 8th.
- 3:25And that the two inter intersection, the two eclipses
- 3:28intersect at a place called Bald Knob Cross in in in southern
- 3:34Illinois. And there's enough dots there to
- 3:36kind of make you go away. What's going on here, You know.
- 3:39So how did you get involved in and what's your interest in in
- 3:42this phenomena? I'll throw a correction, which I
- 3:44think is right. I think Resurrection Day is the
- 3:479th right? And that's correct.
- 3:50I asked Hal and I wasn't sure, but I came to a conclusion of my
- 3:55own about why the apes, the mortal, the mortal perspective
- 4:00naturally craves or rejoices in the resurrection, because it's a
- 4:04message for us as to you know what what we could expect.
- 4:09And from the cosmic perspective, from Nebadon's perspective, I
- 4:13think the day of the tomb, which is the eclipse day, is probably
- 4:16the most wonderful. Because for already eternal
- 4:20beings they still probably have a lot of questions as to where
- 4:24was Michael during that time? Like did he go to Sonarrington
- 4:28or I'm not sure which of those paradise worlds or.
- 4:32So that is why, if you were to ask me why did the second
- 4:37eclipse assuming that they were timed like intelligently by the
- 4:41by the controllers, why didn't it occur on resurrection day?
- 4:45I'll say that I think the day of the tomb is like maybe the most
- 4:49mysterious when you look at Nebadon as a whole.
- 4:52Yeah, I think you're right. Because they actually admit in
- 4:54that paper, which I just recently read, where they say we
- 4:58really have no idea what Jesus did for that 36 hours.
- 5:02We don't know where it was. And it is a great mystery.
- 5:06You know, we can all sort of come up with our own.
- 5:09I'm sure you could ask 100 different priests or ministers
- 5:12and they'd all give you an answer.
- 5:14And well, he went to the bosom of the Father.
- 5:16He went to the right hand to gain power of the of the
- 5:18universe. So what does that mean he he
- 5:21got, did he get the embrace? It does mention, however, and I
- 5:25was just reading this in paper 129 on the human Jesus.
- 5:29It just it it does say that you know the life of Jesus as it was
- 5:34completed had been fully approved by the Father.
- 5:37So he was unqualifiably happy with the results.
- 5:41So it's possible maybe that's what happened during that that
- 5:45period, you know, what do you think?
- 5:47So what's the significance to that?
- 5:49And the eclipse? Why?
- 5:50Why is the eclipse? What do you think it's a sign of
- 5:53what? What do you think is, is is
- 5:55underlying in this are they sending a message?
- 5:57What? I think it's sort of a just a
- 6:01celebratory, Worshipful situation set up by some power
- 6:06controllers or archangels of archangels or some beings in
- 6:11Ebedon or just beings in our solar system that could have the
- 6:17power to move planets. Or you know, Jesus said if you
- 6:21have faith, you can move mountain.
- 6:24So I think they've coordinated it somehow geographic or
- 6:27geometry geographically just for just as a Worshipful recognition
- 6:35and the fact is you know the intersection occurs in the state
- 6:39that the revelation has been delivered, so.
- 6:42I'm hearing things in the Christian community too.
- 6:45They're saying it's the Rapture. You hearing anything?
- 6:49About that. Well, my Christian background
- 6:51and then which I, you know, the UV upgraded me and then I don't
- 6:58neglect the old. So I sort of, I sort of looked
- 7:01at 2030 as maybe a significant date because it's a 2000 year
- 7:06anniversary at the Christ resurrection and at that or
- 7:12yeah, at that time Gabriel and the angels, they resurrected the
- 7:17the dead and there could be like a millennial resurrection of you
- 7:22know, all of so many of our loved ones who are ostensibly or
- 7:26as far as we know sleeping in the grave could be upcoming in
- 7:31just a few short years. 2030 is the the millennial time.
- 7:35So that's where my most sort of prophetic attitude looks stored.
- 7:42But I definitely think that stuff that you mentioned, like
- 7:47the war in Ukraine, I think that's one of the trumpets in
- 7:50the Book of Revelation. It says where men have tails
- 7:54like scorpions that emit smoke and they go around, you know,
- 7:59assaulting each other. Not that there haven't been
- 8:01worse in every generation, but I do believe that we are sort of
- 8:07at the point of the needle or the point of the wedge in in a
- 8:11time space where that it's going to turn out good in the end.
- 8:17But it does involve tribulations, which I think the
- 8:23Book of Revelation covers pretty well or in cat it talks about.
- 8:29I think 911 was a trumpet. Because you know, when John the
- 8:33Apostle was on Patmos, he got a revelation from archangels, and
- 8:39one of them one of the trumpets, that he wrote down what he saw,
- 8:43he said a mighty mountain falling into the sea.
- 8:46And those buildings were right on the like right on the water
- 8:50when you look at the aerial view, so.
- 8:53And then it. Turns 1/3 of the water red.
- 8:56I remember reading in Revelations about the the IT
- 9:00describes people watching this happening and describes them in
- 9:04their boats and in the harbors and everything.
- 9:06And I thought, well, that sounds like Hudson, you know, or
- 9:08whatever. The right.
- 9:09Looking up at the World Trade Center as they're coming down,
- 9:12they thought it had occurred to be.
- 9:14Yeah. Well, then then, of course,
- 9:16there's Apopka, which is the, which is another interesting
- 9:19thing. The, the asteroid that's coming
- 9:22right toward us. And it's supposed to hit.
- 9:25Yeah. And that'll be on February 13th,
- 9:27which is a Friday, and that's February 13th, 2029.
- 9:32Now, they first told us that it would only come within 20
- 9:35kilometers or 20,000 kilometers. Now they're saying that it'll
- 9:38come close enough to where it'll actually be at the same distance
- 9:42of where the satellites are. So there's all kinds of.
- 9:46Now, I'm not a physical scientist, but I know that mass
- 9:50can is attractive. And if you got this comment, you
- 9:53know how much would it have to deviate?
- 9:55And it's going to go right over America, too, right over North
- 9:57America at like 613 at night East Coast time.
- 10:02Isn't that interesting? And I And then I'm thinking, OK,
- 10:04well, maybe that's that to me. I almost feel like, and I don't
- 10:08mean to say this, but I almost feel like something will break
- 10:11and society is going to have to regroup in a big way.
- 10:14And unfortunately, I feel that a lot of people, I mean you think
- 10:17about it for a second, Devin. You know, there is a point in
- 10:22human history where there were only 100 people left of the the
- 10:27human, the, the fully developed, you know, human.
- 10:31There's only 100 of us left. I mean, there have been multiple
- 10:34times where our, our societies have been wiped out.
- 10:38You know, the great flood, when the isthmus broke it, whatever
- 10:41that is Gibraltar and the floodings and then the floodings
- 10:45during Noah's time with the the ice and the snow falling and and
- 10:49everything. So you know, it's not like God's
- 10:51going to step in there and save us, you know, because that's not
- 10:56that. That would be against his rules,
- 10:58you know, right. I mean, he would save us from
- 11:00ourselves, but not save us from just dying.
- 11:04Does this sound cryptic to you? I mean, do you think he would
- 11:09intervene and stick his hand there and prevent this?
- 11:12Or would he go, OK, it's 2029, I'm looking at the way humanity
- 11:17is going right now and maybe I don't want to save him.
- 11:20Sure. I'm glad you have a good sense
- 11:22of humor because you know, this is what's going on in my head,
- 11:27you know? I was thinking we could just
- 11:29maybe solicit the Grays to come and use one of their shunting
- 11:34mechanisms. Yeah, that's true.
- 11:39That's true. They were delighted in a project
- 11:42like that. Yeah.
- 11:44So being a relatively new, a quick question, just as one
- 11:48Erantia book reader to another. Did you have a lot of problems
- 11:53growing up Christian? Was it a big leap for you?
- 11:56Because I've met a lot of Christians that read the Erantia
- 11:59Book and they go, that's not for me, you know?
- 12:01Sorry, I'm not, I'm not going there.
- 12:04Sure. I had sort of stepped aside from
- 12:07Christianity because of the social maybe obligations.
- 12:11And yeah, I was still, I was, I went to a Christian college and
- 12:16after two years of that, I felt I should go to basically the
- 12:20third world or somewhere outside of the US So that's where I
- 12:25found the UB. I I think I was maybe destined
- 12:28to, or I was blessed to, I think.
- 12:31And then I did, you know, make AI basically returned to God
- 12:38spiritually through prayer and like even in a given moment that
- 12:43I can recall when it happened. And then after that I started
- 12:47reading the UV. Yeah.
- 12:50What was the point where it it kind of got you everybody has a
- 12:53gotcha moment. Was there any particular passage
- 12:57or something going on that that sort of connected with you, with
- 13:00your ranch Ibuka? I know for me it was probably
- 13:03when I read the first reading of the life and teachings of Jesus,
- 13:07when he gets to paper 155, I think, and he's talking about
- 13:11how you know, you can, you know, not everybody's path the same.
- 13:17Not everybody is made to serve as a priest.
- 13:19If you, if you've got God in your life, you know, then
- 13:22everything is sacred. That kind of, and it was that
- 13:24sort of approach that really got me into like, wow, it really
- 13:28touched. Me, you know, I was, I was
- 13:33living in a church, in a apartment above the church, and
- 13:37going to UMass Amherst and reading the book like, very
- 13:42diligently to try and get through it.
- 13:44And so many things were novel. But I do think I remember, or I
- 13:49do remember the sort of making a supreme decision at one point,
- 13:54just wanting to be a part of the God's plan on a personal, on a
- 14:01way that would involve me. And that was so thrilling.
- 14:04So I think that was my moment. But what got me to that moment
- 14:09was other people who I saw reading it and or other people
- 14:14who are already interested in it.
- 14:15So the community, the community wins or long?
- 14:22How did they come across to you? Just like balanced and logical
- 14:31and sort of picking off where I guess Christianity couldn't or
- 14:36didn't answer some things, but then being real individuals in
- 14:41the world, so all those things are appealing characteristics.
- 14:46Do you have people in your family who also have been turned
- 14:50on to the book, or do you have any friends that you've turned
- 14:53the book on to and have success with that?
- 14:56Sure, yeah, yeah, that's good. Yeah.
- 15:01Talking about community and community, inspiring people.
- 15:06If I could do a plug for a project I'm working on.
- 15:10Yeah, it's. It's like a six year calendar
- 15:14that would start this fall or autumn reading the book, one
- 15:19section a day and only during the five work days.
- 15:24And then with two week breaks or yeah, two week breaks during
- 15:28Christmas and New Year's for six years.
- 15:31And it gets us through the whole book and making up an image
- 15:35that's like a calendar that you could cross off dates.
- 15:40So yeah, that's going to be my new project.
- 15:45Well, you might as well tell everybody how to get a hold of
- 15:47you so that if you want to maybe commensurate with others who
- 15:50would join you on that, you know.
- 15:53Sure, yeah. Might be releasing it like
- 15:56through ya, ya youth and young adults.
- 16:00Yeah with the fellowship. But I also I just got the domain
- 16:05called You read through the letter you read and then through
- 16:09THRU dot com. So I'm going to post the image
- 16:13up there and I'll just promote it at conferences.
- 16:16The essence would be to have an actual calendar that you could X
- 16:19off, but I think people might do like a reading group as well.
- 16:24Daily reading on maybe Facebook? Or Zoom or something like that.
- 16:29Yeah, maybe. I don't know.
- 16:30Right. Well, there's better ways for
- 16:32people to connect. Yeah.
- 16:33Do you go to a number of the conferences?
- 16:36And if you do, give me a report, what, what?
- 16:40What's got everybody excited these days?
- 16:43I haven't been to a U AI1 in a long time, but going to go to
- 16:47Baltimore here in just about two weeks, so that should be great.
- 16:52Yeah. I talked to a woman who came
- 16:55back from the World Religions Conference and I think a
- 16:58gentleman by the name of Byron who also went and and the the
- 17:03report is that the people are starting to get a little curious
- 17:07about the Urancha book. It's only taken them 100 years,
- 17:09you know, but we're making progress.
- 17:13Nice. You know, I'll tell you
- 17:18something funny. In the 80s and the 90s, when I
- 17:21first started reading the book and coming to grips with the
- 17:24fact that it was a revelation of epical proportions.
- 17:27You know that. I thought, well, you know,
- 17:29people aren't really hungry for it right now.
- 17:31It doesn't seem like. And now you flat flash forward
- 17:34to 2024. And now I see why the book is
- 17:36relevant. I'll just leave it at that.
- 17:41Yeah, there's there's some serious, I think, Albert,
- 17:44there's some serious issues that we have to address, you know,
- 17:49And we are an emerging, evolving civilization.
- 17:53We're a special project for Michael's home planet.
- 17:56He has a vested interest in us and our success.
- 17:59Melchizedek, Adam and Eve Caligasti would love for us to
- 18:03fail, because if we fail that means that Michael failed and
- 18:08and we're seeing this emergence of real evil in the world right
- 18:12now. And I think people are being
- 18:13forced to make a choice. Unfortunately, I don't think
- 18:16they're making the right choice. In many ways I don't know, but
- 18:20it is an interesting time. It's more interesting now than
- 18:23it was 40 years ago. And and I think I appreciate now
- 18:27more than ever what the Urantia Book's real value is, which is
- 18:31to bring to equilibrium. I mean, we are operating blind,
- 18:36you know, every person on this. Yeah, right.
- 18:38I just picked up an interesting crossover.
- 18:43It's this book called The Book of Thomas that is like a maybe a
- 18:48Gnostic gospel or one that is in It's not in the Bible and it's
- 18:53only about 20 pages. I didn't know when I was reading
- 18:58it whether it was like you be or Christian.
- 19:03It was sort of this bridge. Because I think in the Jesus
- 19:07papers, no kids in the midwers who I like to call, they're like
- 19:12Alvin and the Chipmunks. Yeah, they they reference, I
- 19:19think, this gospel according to Thomas.
- 19:23At one point in the book it says when Thomas, 'cause you know
- 19:27that Jesus and Thomas, I think at one point they spend some
- 19:29time together. Yeah, And they like come back
- 19:33and I'm not. I hope I'm not confusing with
- 19:36the John Mark story, but like, Thomas is charged not to say
- 19:39anything to them. Yeah, I I I have a recollection
- 19:43of that myself. In the in the book of the Gospel
- 19:46of Thomas that's recorded and he says to the his fellows, he's
- 19:49like, if I if I would tell you what he told me, you guys would
- 19:53stone me. That's interesting.
- 19:59Yeah. Yeah, Well, so.
- 20:04Well, look, So what are you going to, where are you going to
- 20:06stay? You're going to go to this
- 20:08thing? Are you going to go a couple of
- 20:09days early? What's the, what's the general
- 20:11plan for your Rancho book readers?
- 20:13Do you know a lot of people that are going to?
- 20:15It's in Alton, right? Alton, IL.
- 20:18Like just on the edge of town or something like that.
- 20:21I've not seen it, but apparently it's a beautiful cross.
- 20:24It's over 1000 feet. It's got the word peace at the
- 20:28bottom. I I actually googled a a few
- 20:31photos and it's got a beautiful picture.
- 20:33I'm not sure if it's pointing. Well, if it's looking eastward,
- 20:37then it's looking over the Shawnee National Forest, which
- 20:40is a beautiful. Do I have that right?
- 20:43Do you know? I think so, yeah.
- 20:45Is Carbondale, IL maybe the biggest town nearby?
- 20:48Yeah, it is, yeah. And and it's interesting because
- 20:52Halbert brought up to my attention that the prophet, one
- 20:57of the few prophets mentioned by name of the Urantia book, is
- 21:00from the Shawnee tribe. And it was.
- 21:03And yeah, and he predicted the downfall of the white man.
- 21:07Really. Yeah.
- 21:08No, no, Oh no. He denounced the vices of the
- 21:12white of the white man and predicted an eclipse in the
- 21:151800s. And he was right.
- 21:17In that, in that exact area, yeah.
- 21:19Yeah. Interesting.
- 21:20Yeah. Well, any final thoughts you
- 21:23want to share before we part ways?
- 21:26It's been a pleasure meeting you.
- 21:28Likewise. Yeah, sure.
- 21:31Just I guess. What do you want to get out of
- 21:35the? Do you do you believe perhaps
- 21:38that that we're joining in this? You said something earlier that
- 21:41kind of stuck with me. In this event, April 8th at the
- 21:45at the Bald Knob Cross, a lot of people are going, there's going
- 21:49to be all kinds of people going, I'm guessing probably a few
- 21:51thousand people, but you know, the media is not covering it, of
- 21:55course, you know, at all. Truly.
- 21:57Right. They're they're they're covering
- 22:00the eclipse, but they're not covering the convergence at Bald
- 22:03Knob Cross, which is the bigger story.
- 22:05But they don't want to get into that messiness.
- 22:07You know, they don't like to get, you know, get too
- 22:09religious, even though everybody's hungry as hell for
- 22:12it. But do you think that we're
- 22:14going to be celebrating in concert with a greater
- 22:17celebration that is going on in our in our inner system,
- 22:22government, our spiritual, the spiritual side?
- 22:25Do you think there'll be a big celebration going on that day?
- 22:28Yeah, that's a pretty fair assumption, Yeah, that there
- 22:31would be a lot of visitors and, yeah, that a lot of heaven
- 22:36would. Yeah, I would.
- 22:37Down upon us. Maybe something miraculous will
- 22:41happen. We need a miracle, you know?
- 22:46It's a bit, yes. It is a bit of a miracle.
- 22:49Well, maybe when it's over, you can come back on and and tell us
- 22:52your experience, share your experience.
- 22:54Would you do that? Yeah, sure.
- 22:56Round two and I would say like to be anywhere in the totality
- 23:00path would be well worth it. Just just if nothing else, for
- 23:05the supremacy aspect of seeing that, maybe from the science
- 23:11supremacy aspect. It's a it's a it's a beautiful
- 23:14phenomenon And somebody recently was showing me how like leaves
- 23:18or like a shadow. I had never noticed this in
- 23:212017, but there's like when there when there's only the
- 23:27corona of the sun visible, there's cool things that happen
- 23:32with the shadows. But yes, just on a science
- 23:36level, in the zone of totality, when the final ray of the sun is
- 23:41obscured by the moon, it's almost like a light switch.
- 23:44And suddenly the stars are out, and it's just pretty marvelous.
- 23:48Have you heard about the comet, the Devil's Comet?
- 23:51Going to be to the left of it. Yeah, you'll be able to see it
- 23:55during the eclipse they're saying.
- 23:57There. You might be able to see this
- 23:59comet, and it has a weird characteristic because of the, I
- 24:02guess it has volcanoes or something, right?
- 24:04And. On the comet?
- 24:07Yeah, and it only happens, Oh my goodness.
- 24:09And it only happens once every 77 years where we see it for
- 24:14this one day. Isn't that amazing?
- 24:16Yeah. And it happens in the zone of
- 24:18totality on the Resurrection Day.
- 24:21Nice. I mean the.
- 24:21Longer that you look at this, the more interesting it gets.
- 24:24It's like one of those, Yeah, it's just an amazing phenomenon.
- 24:28Well, listen brother, I hope you come back on and share your
- 24:30experience with us. OK, I will.
- 24:33All right, man. Blessing to be with you and
- 24:36thank you. Thank you.
- 24:37Devin Landis joining us here. I've been out of trouble like a
- 24:56soldier saying I don't want to spend my time in heaven looking
- 25:02at the walls of a prison cell. I don't ever want to play the
- 25:09part of a statistic on a government charge.
- 25:13Let's not be an invisible song in the teams of everyone.
