Latest / Johnjay & Rich On Demand / Payton is SO excited for The iHeartRadio Music Festival
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: iHeart Festival is this weekend. Peyton's going. So jealous, Peyton.
- 0:05Speaker 2: I'm like actually really, really excited because first of all,
- 0:08Speaker 2: like who doesn't love Vegas? And then also some of
- 0:11Speaker 2: the most like iconic artists are performing. And I felt
- 0:14Speaker 2: so seen by this study that I saw because apparently
- 0:17Speaker 2: like Gen Z, we have decided that we might not
- 0:21Speaker 2: be able to afford groceries, but we are definitely going
- 0:23Speaker 2: to our favorite artist concert.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Well, that's good. I would feel the same way the
- 0:27Speaker 3: entirety of my whole life. Priorities, right? If it's somebody
- 0:30Speaker 3: that you want to see, that's a life moment that
- 0:32Speaker 3: you can never recapture again. Exactly. I believe in that.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Gen Z is actually outspending every single other generation when
- 0:41Speaker 2: it comes to live music right now. So just a
- 0:43Speaker 2: couple years ago, 75% of Gen Zers said that ticket
- 0:46Speaker 2: prices in general stopped them from going. Now that number
- 0:49Speaker 2: is down almost 20%. Which is so crazy to me
- 0:52Speaker 2: because it makes sense. Like when I go to like Filiberto's,
- 0:56Speaker 2: it's $ 17 for a breakfast burrito. And I feel like
- 0:59Speaker 2: they're robbing me. But when Ticketmaster puts something out there
- 1:02Speaker 2: and it's like $ 3. 50 for lower bowl for SZA.
- 1:06Speaker 3: I'm intrigued. Plus you've got a, you know, a courtesy
- 1:08Speaker 3: fee or all those things you.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Can pay for. What was the last concert? Because I mean,
- 1:12Speaker 1: I'm hoping that, you know, you go into the iHeart
- 1:13Speaker 1: Festival that us working for iHeart, we're setting you up
- 1:15Speaker 1: with that. But what was the last concert you paid for?
- 1:17Speaker 1: I know what the last concert I paid for was.
- 1:19Speaker 2: SZA and Kendrick Lamar.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:21Speaker 3: That was a great show. Yeah. Last one I paid
- 1:24Speaker 3: for was Billie Eilish, and I thought that was great. Oh,
- 1:26Speaker 3: Billie's so good.
- 1:27Speaker 1: You paid for Billie Eilish? We couldn't get you tickets
- 1:29Speaker 1: to that?
- 1:30Speaker 3: You know, it's one of those things where my kid
- 1:31Speaker 3: wanted to go, and I didn't want to ask and
- 1:33Speaker 3: get told no, so I just bought tickets so we
- 1:35Speaker 3: had tickets. Oh, what about you? I said Jonas Brothers. Oh,
- 1:38Speaker 3: in Vegas?
- 1:38Speaker 4: I saw them in Vegas.
- 1:39Speaker 3: It was so fun. Your husband's the voice of the
- 1:41Speaker 3: Jonas Brothers.
- 1:42Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:45Speaker 4: We did not get hooked up with tickets or a
- 1:47Speaker 4: meet and greet, but it's fine.
- 1:49Speaker 3: They were still amazing.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Mine was Backstreet Boys at the Sphere in Vegas. It
- 1:54Speaker 1: was worth every penny. Worth every penny.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Worth every penny, but I feel like there's so many
- 1:59Speaker 2: other things out there that are also worth every penny.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Like there's a handful of things that I will make
- 2:03Speaker 2: sure I have no matter how broke I am. One,
- 2:07Speaker 2: being a really cute and comfortable pair of high heels.
- 2:09Speaker 3: You have to have one of those. Non-negotiable. Are there
- 2:13Speaker 3: comfortable high heels? Oh, yes. There are some?
- 2:15Speaker 1: Yes.
- 2:16Speaker 3: I don't believe so. There's comfortable wedges. Really? Yeah. Not
- 2:19Speaker 3: high heels, though.
- 2:20Speaker 4: I've never experienced that.
- 2:22Speaker 3: I'm telling you, I've been married to Stacey Barra for
- 2:24Speaker 3: a long time. She has many high heels, and I've
- 2:26Speaker 3: never heard her say one pair is comfortable.
- 2:28Speaker 2: I wonder if she has a pair of Steve Maddens
- 2:29Speaker 2: in her closet, because to me, those are the most
- 2:32Speaker 2: comfortable shoes.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Well, I don't know.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Botox might be one for someone going to Disneyland, tickets,
- 2:37Speaker 2: things like that. I just feel like the things that
- 2:39Speaker 2: fill up our cup, no matter how broke we are,
- 2:41Speaker 2: I feel like we should find a way to make
- 2:42Speaker 2: it happen. Mm-hmm.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Okay, what do you got, Kyle? What do you think
- 2:46Speaker 1: it's worth every penny?
- 2:47Speaker 3: Botox.
- 2:48Speaker 4: She just nailed it right there, 100%. What do you
- 2:52Speaker 4: mean I can't say that? You might say it's frozen,
- 2:54Speaker 4: John Jay.
- 2:55Speaker 1: It doesn't matter what.
- 2:56Speaker 3: What makes that happen? She could scowl at you right now,
- 2:59Speaker 3: but she cannot. I am scowling at you. You may
- 3:02Speaker 3: just not be able to see it.
- 3:03Speaker 1: That category is taken.
- 3:05Speaker 4: What about you, John Jay?
- 3:06Speaker 3: You can't use that.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I can, but don't take it. I would say
- 3:11Speaker 1: having a sauna. Worth every penny. I sauna every single day.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Every single day. And I think it's worth every single
- 3:17Speaker 1: penny that I've ever spent in it.
- 3:19Speaker 2: And what's nice about that, if your sauna goes down,
- 3:20Speaker 2: you can just go and sit out and bask in
- 3:22Speaker 2: the Arizona sun, get the same effect.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Especially in February.
- 3:24Speaker 4: Did any of you guys watch that movie, Good Fortune?
- 3:27Speaker 4: It's on Apple TV. And I guess it came out
- 3:29Speaker 4: in the movie theaters. It's got Keanu Reeves in it
- 3:31Speaker 4: and Seth Rogen and Aziz Ansari. And I guess it
- 3:34Speaker 4: was a flop in the theaters, but like on streaming, it's.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Been like doing really well.
- 3:38Speaker 2: And I watched it.
- 3:40Speaker 4: It's funny because Seth Rogen plays this really rich guy.
- 3:42Speaker 4: And Aziz Ansari becomes his like assistant for a little while.
- 3:46Speaker 4: And then they somehow switch lives because Keanu Reeves is
- 3:51Speaker 4: an angel and wanted to show Aziz Ansari, the other
- 3:54Speaker 4: side of the coin. But Seth Rogen, he's very about
- 3:58Speaker 4: his sauna and cold plunge.
- 4:00Speaker 3: And finally, there's.
- 4:02Speaker 4: One scene where all three of them are doing it.
- 4:04Speaker 3: And they're like, it's really about the back and forth.
- 4:06Speaker 1: I remember it happening to Rooster, too.
- 4:08Speaker 3: Watch out, John J. Keanu Reeves might appear in your life.
- 4:10Speaker 3: I would love that. For me, it's car audio. I mean,
- 4:13Speaker 3: you're going to be in your car a long time.
- 4:15Speaker 3: More important than the car is the music that you
- 4:18Speaker 3: listen to. It needs to be quality.
