Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, everybody, it's a sing along one more thing, I'm
- 0:03Speaker 1: strong and Getty one more thing. So it's Martin Luther
- 0:11Speaker 1: King Junior's birthday. And we decided that doing a podcast
- 0:14Speaker 1: would be flat out racist today, so we thought we
- 0:17Speaker 1: wouldn't do one. But then we thought, you know, there's
- 0:20Speaker 1: part of the inaugural ceremony that we didn't get on
- 0:24Speaker 1: the radio show, and we'd play that for you, and
- 0:27Speaker 1: that is Carrie Underwood came to sing America the Beautiful,
- 0:31Speaker 1: and this is apparently what happened. We're going to pick
- 0:33Speaker 1: it up where the singing starts, because there is some
- 0:36Speaker 1: sort of backing track that started as far as they
- 0:39Speaker 1: even have a live like actual I mean, it's a
- 0:41Speaker 1: freaking inauguration to have a backing track, have a have
- 0:46Speaker 1: a guitar player and a drummer something. But anyway they
- 0:48Speaker 1: start the backing track, it stops for some reason. Carrie
- 0:51Speaker 1: Underwood stands there uncomfortably for a full minute. We just
- 0:55Speaker 1: measured and then basically, well you'll we'll hear how it
- 1:00Speaker 1: plays it and it's actually ended up being what Jonathan
- 1:03Speaker 1: Turley called his favorite morning, his favorite moment of the inauguration.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Here we go.
- 1:19Speaker 3: If you know, the words helped me out here. Ohbi
- 1:25Speaker 3: full for spacecious guys for a boo wave z grat
- 1:36Speaker 3: for perple mountain mantestees, uhbouve the fruity play Onicaerica, God Shed,
- 1:59Speaker 3: He's fun peace and my good way.
- 2:11Speaker 2: From sea to shine. See it was nice.
- 2:23Speaker 1: That's awesome. And iBOT that sounded really cool in there
- 2:26Speaker 1: with the rotund on the echo and everything like that.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Here.
- 2:29Speaker 1: That was a great way to cap the peaceful transfer
- 2:32Speaker 1: of power. That's fantastic.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Right after Trump, who's destroying norms like a bull in
- 2:38Speaker 2: a china shop, turned the inaugural address into the darkest,
- 2:42Speaker 2: ugliest spectacle eye as this reporter has ever witnessed. Blah
- 2:46Speaker 2: blah blah.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Joe talked about it on the radio show. But we're
- 2:49Speaker 1: so used to it. We've been doing it for two
- 2:51Speaker 1: hundred and fifty years now or whatever. It's just extraordinary
- 2:54Speaker 1: in human history for this to happen.
- 2:57Speaker 2: And uh, the peaceful transfer you mean, right, Yeah, a
- 3:02Speaker 2: completely different point of view takes over because you won
- 3:07Speaker 2: in the election and the other side says, okay, and I.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Hate this, but get your best shot and.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Then well and even in to get more specific about today.
- 3:16Speaker 2: And then the new guy stands up and this is
- 3:18Speaker 2: kind of not the normal stands up and says the
- 3:21Speaker 2: old guys sucked, and the old guys are sitting there.
- 3:25Speaker 2: The old guys are like, Eh, I think you suck,
- 3:27Speaker 2: but I'm gonna sit here with dignity because we lost.
- 3:30Speaker 1: So anyway, who knows what Joe Biden was thinking, but
- 3:34Speaker 1: in general, you would be thinking that Trump held back
- 3:37Speaker 1: zero shots.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Biden was thinking Betty Davis Shure could fill out a
- 3:45Speaker 2: pair of jeans.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Anyway, because this is Martin Luther King Junior's birthday and
- 3:52Speaker 1: we're not racist, we will end the podcast.
- 3:54Speaker 3: Well, I guess that's it.
