- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Welcome to Recoded.
- 0:01SPEAKER_00: I'm Sheree,
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: an identity wealth mentor and every week we're diving into conversations
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: that help ambitious women stop living from fear,
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: uncertainty, self-doubt and old conditioning.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: So they start becoming the woman who embodies her next level of certainty,
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: self-trust, confidence and wealth.
- 0:23SPEAKER_00: After 14 years and running multiple six-figure businesses,
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: I've learned your life does not change when you work harder
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: or you change strategies every week.
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: It changes when you change the subconscious limiting beliefs
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: that have you receiving your current results in life.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: And not just in business either, in all areas, relationships, health, everything.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: So through powerful conversations,
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: client transformation stories and practical tools you can implement
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: into your life now,
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: we'll explore what it really takes to create more confidence,
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: more self-trust, more wealth from the inside out.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: So if you're ready to stop waiting for your next level and start becoming her,
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: you're in the right place, my love.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: Let's dive in.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: For most of my life, I thought working hard for money was just who I was.
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: You know, I thought I was ambitious.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: I thought I had a really strong work ethic.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: I thought I was driven.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: And don't get me wrong, like I was all of those things.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: But looking back now,
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: I can see that underneath my drive was a belief I didn't even know I had,
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: which was I have to work hard for money.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: And that belief was quietly running so much of my life as in like
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: the amount I worked,
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: the way I approached success,
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: the amount I pushed, the amount I rested or in a lot of cases how I didn't rest.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: And even the way I approached building my business.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: And I want to talk about this today because I know there's
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: so many other ambitious women listening who are doing exactly what I used
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: to do years ago.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: Now you're capable,
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: you're successful,
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: you're probably someone who gets things done and you don't need anyone to tell you
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: to work harder.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: If anything, someone probably needs to tell you to stop and slow down for a bit.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: But you've become really good at creating success through effort.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: But here's the question I want you to sit with today is what if working hard
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: for money isn't your personality at all?
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: What if it's just a belief?
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: And what if that belief is actually influencing how much wealth you're able
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: to like create, receive and hold?
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: Before I became an entrepreneur, I worked in yachting.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: So I was making like a six figure plus salary, but I was also working incredibly long hours.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: And I'm talking 18 hour days.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: There was even a two week period where I did 20 hour days.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: Now, I was exhausted most of the time.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: I was tired and I definitely fully burnt out a few times.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: And you know,
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: during those 15 years,
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: I didn't question it because in my mind, this is just what successful people did.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: You worked hard, you put in the hours, you made sacrifices, and then you got paid.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: So there was like this very underlying clear equation in my mind.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: More hours equaled more money, more effort equaled more success, more
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: And because it was working to a certain degree, right,
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: like I was making good money,
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: I didn't question what I was doing and I didn't question my beliefs.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: And I think this is why these beliefs can be difficult to see because sometimes
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: the belief isn't stopping you from being successful.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: It's kind of helping you create success, but not the kind of success you actually want, right?
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: So it helped me create a six-figure income.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: But it also helped me create exhaustion.
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: And I didn't realize those things were connected so many years ago.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: When I transitioned into an entrepreneur, I thought, okay, cool.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: Now I'm going to have time freedom.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: I'm going to have choice.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: I'm going to have control over my life and the ability to create wealth on my own terms.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: But something really interesting happened.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: I took the same identity I'd used in my yachting career,
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: the one that worked really hard and made a lot of money,
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: and I brought it into my business.
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: So instead of working 18-hour days for my employer on the boat,
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: I started sitting in my villa all day in Bali,
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: working incredibly hard for myself and I'd be at my desk,
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: on my laptop all day,
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: creating content, funnels, masterclasses, really pushing for that next result.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: And when something wasn't happening as quickly as I wanted,
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: my natural instinct, it wasn't like, well, maybe I need to slow down.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: Maybe I need to look at my beliefs and My instinct was like, Sheree, you've got to push more.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: You've got to post more.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: You've got to work harder.
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: And I didn't realize that I was essentially recreating the same relationship
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: with money that I had before in the past while I was yachting.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: And I just changed the vehicle.
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: I went from yachting to being an entrepreneur, doing coaching and affiliate marketing back then.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: But I hadn't changed my beliefs.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: I'd gone from subconsciously,
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: okay, I've got to work hard for my salary to I've got to work hard for my business.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: But underneath,
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: and that's what I call an umbrella belief,
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: underneath that was the belief of money requires hard work.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: And that was such a light bulb moment for me because I thought becoming
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: an entrepreneur was going to free me from working hard for money.
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: I thought I was going to have all this time with my family and my friends,
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: but I'd brought that belief around working hard for money.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: And this is where I want to take you a little deeper because most
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: of us didn't consciously sit down one day and decide,
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: okay, this is what I'm going to start believing about money.
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: We absorbed these beliefs from what we've seen, we've heard, we've experienced.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: We get the beliefs from the people around us, from our environment.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: And we get our beliefs from the conversations that happened around us, especially growing up.
- 7:13SPEAKER_00: Now, our parents can be incredibly powerful models for what we learn about money.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: And for so many women,
- 7:21SPEAKER_00: what I find fascinating is that the relationship they witnessed their father having
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: with money becomes our blueprint.
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: So for me, when I look back, I can see my dad worked really hard for a lot of money.
- 7:38SPEAKER_00: And that was one of the models of work and money that I grew up on.
- 7:43SPEAKER_00: So as a child, I wasn't sitting there analyzing it and consciously deciding what it meant.
- 7:50SPEAKER_00: I was simply observing it and I was absorbing that information.
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: I was deleting, distorting and generalizing the information that I saw.
- 8:01SPEAKER_00: And somewhere along the way, my subconscious made a meaning and belief from what I was seeing.
- 8:07SPEAKER_00: Those beliefs were, this is how you make money.
- 8:11SPEAKER_00: Making money is hard.
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: I have to work hard for money, right?
- 8:16SPEAKER_00: And somewhere along the way,
- 8:17SPEAKER_00: I created my own version of that, which was I have to work hard for money.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: And I absolutely did not know I had that belief.
- 8:26SPEAKER_00: That's the important part.
- 8:28SPEAKER_00: Because if someone asked me years ago, Sheree, do you believe you have to work hard for money?
- 8:35SPEAKER_00: I probably would have just laughed and said, no, of course not.
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: I believe I receive money as easily as I can breathe air.
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: I believe I can easily create wealth.
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: But my behaviors were telling a completely different story.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: And this is what I love and which we get to be really curious
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: about is your behavior can reveal your beliefs and And this is how I want you
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: to start uncovering your own money beliefs.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: You don't just ask yourself, like, what do I believe about money?
- 9:12SPEAKER_00: Look at what you repeatedly do.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: Because you won't find your subconscious beliefs by asking yourself what you believe.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: You find them by looking at your behavior.
- 9:24SPEAKER_00: So I invite you to notice and get curious.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: How do you behave around money?
- 9:31SPEAKER_00: How do you behave when you're not making enough money?
- 9:35SPEAKER_00: How do you behave when you want more?
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: Do you start noticing yourself pushing or like,
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: oh wow, I'm going to have to work really hard now?
- 9:45SPEAKER_00: And how do you behave when you're close to your next income level?
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: Do you push harder?
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: Do you slow down?
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: Do you over deliver?
- 9:54SPEAKER_00: Just notice your behaviours.
- 9:56SPEAKER_00: Your patterns are like, Secret tools to seeing what's happening deep in the subconscious.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: And maybe you find yourself thinking things like, well, I've just got to work harder.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: I just need to do more.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: I just need another strategy.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: Haven't done enough yet.
- 10:15SPEAKER_00: And if you're an entrepreneur,
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: maybe you'll notice yourself constantly creating another offer because you're scared
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: the current one won't just land and it won't just work.
- 10:27SPEAKER_00: Maybe you feel you need to be constantly visible,
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: constantly posting to keep the money flowing in.
- 10:34SPEAKER_00: Maybe your income drops and you immediately go into panic and productivity.
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: And maybe you make more money and then immediately increase your workload.
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: Maybe you're constantly trying to prove that you're good enough through what you produce.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: Now, those behaviors are clues, as I said.
- 10:55SPEAKER_00: They're clues around what you might believe beneath the surface
- 11:03SPEAKER_00: because your subconscious beliefs don't just live inside your mind.
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: They show up in your business.
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: They show up in your results.
- 11:13SPEAKER_00: They show up in how much you trust yourself, right?
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: They show up in how much you rest.
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: And they definitely show up in how much you receive.
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: So working hard, my love, it's not the problem.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: Now I want to make something really clear.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: Now there will be seasons where you might work a little bit more.
- 11:36SPEAKER_00: There are absolutely goals that require commitment, right?
- 11:41SPEAKER_00: Business requires effort and I'm not here to tell you to just sit back
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: and let money magically appear.
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: That's not what I'm talking about.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: The distinction is why you're working.
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: There's a huge difference between I'm choosing to put in this effort
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: because it's aligned with what I'm creating and I have to work this hard
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: or I won't be successful.
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: One comes from choice.
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: The other one comes from fear.
- 12:14SPEAKER_00: One comes from self-trust and the other one comes from more approving energy.
- 12:22SPEAKER_00: And those are incredibly important distinctions because I didn't all of
- 12:27SPEAKER_00: a sudden want to stop being ambitious or driven and I didn't want
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: to stop having big goals.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: I just wanted to stop believing that my effort was the price I had to pay
- 12:41SPEAKER_00: for success And this is where wealth embodiment comes in for me.
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: And I think there's a bit of a misconception that wealth embodiment means looking
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: at your bank account and saying things like,
- 12:55SPEAKER_00: I'm wealthy or pretending you already have something you don't or forcing yourself
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: to feel abundant when you're actually terrified and in scarcity.
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: And this is not what I mean, my love.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: For me, wealth embodiment is about becoming internally available for
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: a different relationship with money.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: It's about being able to receive without feeling you have to work hard for it.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: It's about trusting yourself with money.
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: It's about making decisions from like expansion rather than contraction.
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: It's about being able to hold more without immediately feeling like you need
- 13:38SPEAKER_00: to control everything.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: It's about creating choice.
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: And it's about becoming the woman who doesn't need to exhaust herself or push hard
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: to prove she's worthy of her results.
- 13:53SPEAKER_00: Because here's the thing.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: You can be financially successful and still not feel wealthy.
- 14:01SPEAKER_00: You can be financially successful and still not feel successful.
- 14:05SPEAKER_00: You can have a six figure income and might be terrified of losing it.
- 14:10SPEAKER_00: You can have a successful business and still feel like you have to be
- 14:14SPEAKER_00: the one holding it all together.
- 14:18SPEAKER_00: And you can still make money and still feel guilty when you're not working.
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: So wealth embodiment isn't simply about how much money you have.
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: It's about how you're being in your relationship with money.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: Your beliefs create the identity you create wealth from.
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: And this is where this connects back to what we talked about in the last episode.
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: Your beliefs influence your identity.
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: Your identity influences your behavior.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: And your behavior influences your results.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: So if your identity is I'm the woman that has to work hard to be successful,
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: you're going to create from a very different energy and you're going to create
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: a very different business from the woman whose identity is I'm the woman
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: who creates exceptional results while trusting myself and And allowing myself
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: to be well compensated for my work.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: It's the same ambition, same skill set, completely different internal operating system.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: And this is why Your Next Level, my love, it doesn't require you to learn more.
- 15:35SPEAKER_00: It requires you to release the belief that's keeping you,
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: that's keeping your old way of operating in place.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: Because you can learn every sales strategy in the world,
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: you can learn how to launch,
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: you can learn how to create some million dollar funnel and master all the skill sets
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: in the world.
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: But what I've learned over the last 14 years,
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: underneath the skills,
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: you're still operating from beliefs like I have to work hard for money.
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: You'll unconsciously keep creating a business that requires you to work hard for money.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: And this is the part I really want you to hear.
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: I don't want to build my next level from the identity that created my last level.
- 16:20SPEAKER_00: Because the woman who created my last level of success isn't the woman who needs
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: to create my next one.
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: And that doesn't mean that she was wrong, like she got me there, she got me to those goals.
- 16:33SPEAKER_00: But sometimes the beliefs and behaviours that helps you create one level
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: of success are Aren't the beliefs and behaviours that are going to support you
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: with your next level?
- 16:45SPEAKER_00: So I invite you to look at your own money story.
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: Now I want you to think about the people who raised you.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: What did you see around money?
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: Did you see your parents working constantly?
- 16:58SPEAKER_00: Did you hear things like money doesn't grow on trees,
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: we can't afford that,
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: that's too expensive or Like what did you hear about money when you were growing up?
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: Maybe you saw someone that was constantly stressed about money.
- 17:15SPEAKER_00: Maybe you saw people that were incredibly successful but never seemed to enjoy yet.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: Maybe you learned that being successful meant sacrificing money.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: You know, what did you see when you were growing up around money?
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: What did you experience?
- 17:34SPEAKER_00: What did you observe?
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: And then ask yourself this question.
- 17:40SPEAKER_00: If I was to know,
- 17:43SPEAKER_00: where might I still be living out a version of that story that I saw and observed
- 17:48SPEAKER_00: in my past?
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: Because you don't have to consciously agree with a belief for it to influence you.
- 17:55SPEAKER_00: You can have a completely different conscious philosophy about money,
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: but still have that old subconscious programming running underneath that.
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: And your subconscious will always overrule your conscious mind.
- 18:10SPEAKER_00: And that's work I do with my clients is so powerful because we're not just trying
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: to convince your conscious mind that money can be easier and We're looking at
- 18:19SPEAKER_00: the beliefs underneath that, underneath your identity.
- 18:24SPEAKER_00: You know, the beliefs that have been forcing you to operate in a certain way.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: The beliefs that have been influencing you as to what feels safe
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: and how you allow yourself to receive.
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: And when those beliefs shift and they get recoded,
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: you get to create something completely different.
- 18:47SPEAKER_00: Now, I don't want you to finish this episode with simply thinking,
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: well, cool, that's interesting, Sheree.
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: I want you to leave with a completely different way of looking at your own behavior.
- 18:58SPEAKER_00: So I want to invite you to ask yourself some more questions.
- 19:03SPEAKER_00: If you constantly feel like you have to do more to make more, okay, ask yourself this question.
- 19:11SPEAKER_00: What do I believe would happen if I didn't work hard for money?
- 19:14SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: What do I believe my productivity says about my worth?
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: What do I believe I have to do to deserve money?
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: And if you notice yourself pushing towards the next income goal,
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: ask yourself,
- 19:33SPEAKER_00: do I actually want more money
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: or do I believe more money will finally prove I'm enough?
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: And if you're constantly thinking like I used to,
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: I just need to work harder,
- 19:44SPEAKER_00: pause and ask yourself, what if working harder isn't actually the answer?
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: And here's another one I really want you to sit with.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: If I truly believed money could come to me without exhausting myself,
- 20:00SPEAKER_00: what would I do differently?
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: What would change in your business?
- 20:05SPEAKER_00: What would change in your life?
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: What would you stop doing?
- 20:11SPEAKER_00: And what would you start allowing?
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: Would you delegate?
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: What would you change?
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: What would you finally receive?
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: How would you feel internally?
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: And most importantly, who would you become?
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: So first, for most of my life, I thought working hard for money was just who I was.
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: And now I understand it was a belief I'd learned.
- 20:42SPEAKER_00: And once I could see that belief, I had a choice.
- 20:46SPEAKER_00: I could keep creating wealth from the identity of the woman who had to work hard
- 20:50SPEAKER_00: for it, or she felt she had to work hard for it.
- 20:55SPEAKER_00: Or I could become the woman who knows she can create,
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: receive and hold wealth from Without sacrificing herself and her life for it.
- 21:04SPEAKER_00: And that's the kind of wealth I want for you.
- 21:08SPEAKER_00: You're allowed to be ambitious my love without being exhausted.
- 21:12SPEAKER_00: You're allowed to want more money without making yourself work really hard for every dollar.
- 21:18SPEAKER_00: And you're allowed to build wealth without sacrificing yourself for it.
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: You're allowed to receive.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: And you're absolutely allowed to become the woman who knows
- 21:29SPEAKER_00: that her worth is not determined by how hard she's willing to work.
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: Because wealth isn't just about what's shifting in your bank account.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: It's about the identity you're creating it from.
- 21:44SPEAKER_00: And when you change the identity,
- 21:46SPEAKER_00: you change the way you receive, the way you work, the way you lead.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: And ultimately you change what wealth gets to look like in your life.
- 22:02SPEAKER_00: So the question isn't how can I work harder to create more?
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: The question is who do I need to become so that creating
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: and receiving more wealth becomes safe and natural and available to me?
