- 0:15Well, that was music by the Converse Kid right there on the
- 0:18intro to the ABJ podcast. Welcome everybody back to
- 0:21another live podcast episode today.
- 0:23I'll be sitting down with Billy, Trey, the Converse Kid, the
- 0:26voice, the music a lot to everything that I do with my
- 0:30content when it's streaming, podcasting it out, whatever it
- 0:33may be. Billy is usually the the voice
- 0:36or the music or the creativity behind it.
- 0:38So let's chat with him. This is my second interview with
- 0:40Billy here on the ABJ podcast. So let's let's dive in.
- 0:45What's going on everybody? ABJ here back to the ABJ
- 0:47podcast. We are live currently Facebook
- 0:50on on 2 pages, my personal and my business, YouTube on a BJ on
- 0:55the a BJ podcast, high tension wrestling and we're over on
- 0:58Twitch as well. I think I'm doing some Co stream
- 1:00with Billy. I don't know what that is.
- 1:03I don't even know it's working. We'll we'll figure out when I
- 1:05bring Billy in. Just get some housekeeping out
- 1:07of the way. First time here, hit that like
- 1:09and subscribe. It helps out more than you know.
- 1:11YouTube just did this new feature as well where you can do
- 1:14hyping up videos. I don't know if it works on live
- 1:17streams, but I know you can do it back on previous content.
- 1:20It's just it when you're in this chat, you're an XP or anytime
- 1:22you watch YouTube videos, you're an XP and you can use those at
- 1:25that XP to hype somebody up for free.
- 1:27It cost you nothing, but it really helps out small content
- 1:30creators like myself. Also links below to follow me on
- 1:32all social media and if you want to grab some merchandise, but
- 1:34that's going to do it for the housekeeping side.
- 1:36Let's bring in the converse, kid.
- 1:38What's going on, bud? Not much.
- 1:42What about you? Well, actually, a lot.
- 1:43That's a lie. Not much.
- 1:45That's a lot. Well, that's it.
- 1:47That's all there was life. We'll you guys roll the credits.
- 1:52Yeah. No, I'm, I'm exhausted.
- 1:54I'm sore. I I'm, I'm having a day where
- 1:57I'm like trying to mentally recharge my battery because
- 2:00wrestling shows take it out of me.
- 2:02I'm, I'm I last night when you you came to a show that I got
- 2:05to, you didn't really have to see me perform because I'm
- 2:07backstage. But you get to come and hang out
- 2:09and and watch the show that I don't get to see but then have
- 2:11to talk about backstage, which is a lot of fun.
- 2:15But yeah, did you enjoy yourself?
- 2:17Yeah, dude, it was a lot of fun. A lot of the matches were really
- 2:20good. It's a it's weird, right?
- 2:22I feel like, I know this is such a random thing, but I feel like
- 2:25for women's matches they have to put on like triple the effort,
- 2:30you know, to get the crowd involved.
- 2:31And I think that's one thing, but also like I've never been
- 2:34there before. So it was like new experience to
- 2:36me. But I was like, there were
- 2:37definitely times where I'm like doing like chance and like then
- 2:41I stop and I'm like, Oh, no one over here is is they don't.
- 2:44Care about women's wrestling? Yeah, I'm like wow, this kind of
- 2:47bums me out. But they still put on like
- 2:49excellent matches and then at the end everyone's cheering and
- 2:52stuff and I'm like, I don't get this.
- 2:54Like I feel like I'm in a different world.
- 2:56I think, I think it's kind of just like a wrestling thing
- 2:58because how women's wrestling wasn't taken seriously and it
- 3:01wasn't really good back in the day that they would almost
- 3:05people would use that match to like take a mental rest and then
- 3:09get ready for the next one to cheer.
- 3:10And I, I don't think that stigma has broken yet.
- 3:13And. I that shouldn't be a thing for
- 3:15sure because like me and my step dad and my brother went to the
- 3:20summer slam and all the women took the craziest bumps and we
- 3:25agreed on everything. Not even in the women's match,
- 3:28the tag match where the I don't know who it was but she climbs
- 3:31up to the top rung and then they push the ladder off and she
- 3:34literally lands ribs first into the freaking ladder.
- 3:38I was like what the hell? Yeah, they're nuts.
- 3:42Yeah, but that was cool to do that.
- 3:43I I haven't, I haven't seen you performance a little bit.
- 3:46I think the last time I seen you was at Pilguru.
- 3:47You, you were performing there and I was heckling you and
- 3:51yelling and making you sing songs.
- 3:52You're heckling me. What do you mean?
- 3:54I, I, I yell. I don't, I don't know.
- 3:55People say it's heckling. I wasn't picking on you.
- 3:57I was just genuinely play that song.
- 4:02Yeah, you're not yelling Free Bird.
- 4:03Free bird is heckling. Yeah.
- 4:05I think my free bird for you is every band or local musician in
- 4:09the area. There's that one song for me.
- 4:10It's their free bird. Like you have to.
- 4:11If you don't, if I don't hear that song, I would be pissed.
- 4:13Like Tim Tristan trains his medication.
- 4:15If I don't have medication, I'm I'm, I'm, I'm leaving.
- 4:18I've never come back. I'm giving him his T-shirt pack.
- 4:20Obligatory train song if he doesn't play that.
- 4:23If he doesn't play that or Dollar bill bill.
- 4:25Like those are my jams. But now, like lately, Blue Skies
- 4:29and Black Ties has been. That's a good one.
- 4:32That's the jam, because there's. A song that he did that me and
- 4:35Lily almost bawled our eyes out for and I don't remember the the
- 4:37name of the song, but it was really fucking good.
- 4:39Like it was a really like, Tim's a really good songwriter.
- 4:42The County Fair not counter fair.
- 4:44County Fair. I don't remember, but it's,
- 4:45it's, it's about a, it's about a breakup song.
- 4:47It's like a really sad breakup song.
- 4:49I don't remember the name of it though.
- 4:51I definitely I. Feel like me and I feel like me
- 4:55and him have swapped as far as that goes.
- 4:57Like, I started out making really sad songs and, like, his
- 5:01were kind of like, there and then they got happier.
- 5:04But now I'm like, kind of making, you know what I mean?
- 5:06Like happier, catchy jams. And now he's back to, like, the
- 5:09beginning. Yeah.
- 5:11And he's like did single single Tim is I love this face.
- 5:16It's I mean it's probably not great for his mental health, but
- 5:18just like watching him be the old man yelling at the cloud
- 5:20sometimes I love. Him figuring himself out and and
- 5:24it's cool. It's I mean, it's not cool.
- 5:26Obviously everyone gets bummed out when you go through like a.
- 5:29Kids are riding their bikes down the street at Pilgaro and he's
- 5:31like Joseph fucking Sidewalk and I go.
- 5:35That would not have been you two years ago.
- 5:39You would have not cared. Those kids were running I.
- 5:42Think that just comes with getting older.
- 5:43I'm not going to lie, I don't think that has to do with the
- 5:45relationship. I just think the older you get,
- 5:47the more everyone like these, you know, and in our area, like,
- 5:52you know, parents aren't paying attention to their kids.
- 5:53It's up to the community to pay. Attention to that.
- 5:56But yeah, but like realistically there's like 4 kids that go
- 5:59outside and they're the ones that the parents are like, do
- 6:01they care about them? Are they just like, actually
- 6:03kids should go back outside and play?
- 6:05Like I think a lot of parents don't let their kids leave the
- 6:07house anymore. They're like, you can't leave.
- 6:08Like they're, you know how great?
- 6:09It's like post apocalyptic, you're going to get eaten by
- 6:11monsters. You're going.
- 6:13To get eaten by monsters. If you're going to the park, I'm
- 6:15going to stand there and watch it.
- 6:16I'm going to watch it and play at the park until you're fucking
- 6:1816 years old. I don't think ever.
- 6:20I have to be with you everywhere you go until you get a job.
- 6:23Like I'm going to escort you to your first day of your job.
- 6:25I'm going to walk around and follow you like parents are
- 6:28wild. Yeah, that's true.
- 6:30That's fair. My.
- 6:30Parents are like yo you're fucking 5 go outside you're 5 go
- 6:34get hit by a car. Like I just, I can't handle you
- 6:37in the house all day. Look, you can put round pegs in
- 6:40round holes. You're good to walk around
- 6:42outside. Emily says she still has to
- 6:44watch Billy play in the park. He gets stuck in those swirly
- 6:47things. He he tries to.
- 6:49He's like Danny DeVito and and fucking Always Sunny.
- 6:56It's stuck in the coil dude. It's sucking the coil.
- 6:59There's going to be children here, Dee.
- 7:01How did you get here? That's not what's.
- 7:02Important. Oh man, I think the new season
- 7:06of that comes out. But all right, well, let's let's
- 7:09let's get into this. Tell people if they have not
- 7:11seen the previous podcast or listen, who are you and who I
- 7:15always think of like Kindergarten cop when I ask this
- 7:16question, like, who's your daddy and what does he do?
- 7:19But who are you and tell you about?
- 7:20Tell us about yourself. My name is Billy.
- 7:24I go by the converse kid. I make melodic punk, emo music.
- 7:29I call it Diet Bayside because that's like my number one
- 7:33inspiration. And every time I play anywhere,
- 7:36it's like people come up to me and they're like, you remind me
- 7:39of like Anthony Green and Sayleson or you remind me of
- 7:42Anthony from Bayside. I'm like, well, I just reminded
- 7:44you of Anthony's. That's cool.
- 7:47But like, no, that's, that's definitely what I strive for.
- 7:49So it's it's really fun. It's gotten to the point where
- 7:52Junk Punk, this one dude that I've regularly played with
- 7:55recently, he just calls me Bayside.
- 7:59So now that's that's the thing. But yeah, no, that's that's what
- 8:03I do. I make music.
- 8:05You're you're a wee side and you walk up and I was like, yo, he
- 8:07looks like the guy from Weezer and then that.
- 8:08Too. And then you play Bayside all
- 8:10day and they're like, oh, didn't see that coming.
- 8:11When I don't have my like crazy ass colored hair and I I shave
- 8:17or sometimes no the mustache is fine.
- 8:19Yeah, but he has that he, he rocked that like long hair and a
- 8:22full beard for a little bit there.
- 8:24Yeah, the mullet. Yeah, the mullet, he.
- 8:25Looked like a badass. He looked like he shouldn't have
- 8:27been a badass, but he was like. He's like when they cast the in
- 8:32a movie and it's not that good. Like the actors aren't that
- 8:34amazing. And it's just like he's he's,
- 8:38he's like cast to be the badass role.
- 8:40And you're like, who is this guy like?
- 8:41He's like, he's like when the heavyweight champion has an
- 8:45anorexic art. I don't know if I could say
- 8:47that, but. Probably not.
- 8:48Probably. Something like that.
- 8:50It's been real. We're cancelled.
- 8:51It's been eight years. Can't make jokes anymore?
- 8:54Well. Yeah, it's over.
- 8:55Comedy's dead. Ask Elon.
- 8:57All right, So what it what's what's been new with you since
- 9:01the last time we talked when it comes to music?
- 9:03I know you've been putting out some new stuff.
- 9:05I don't even remember the last time we we we did talk.
- 9:07It's that's been it's been that long ago.
- 9:09I should probably look. Yeah, I think it was like 3 or 4
- 9:11years ago. No way.
- 9:14Yeah, this is the last time we did a podcast together.
- 9:18OK. At least two or three, two or
- 9:20three years. Really.
- 9:22It's 2025. I don't think we did one last
- 9:24year. Does that make me?
- 9:25We don't think we did 1-2 years ago, no.
- 9:28I remember you told me specifically at one point you're
- 9:30like, I'm just going to focus the wrestling stuff.
- 9:32So I never hit you up, but you were like just hit me up if you
- 9:35ever want to do an episode. And I was like, oh, you're doing
- 9:38good so. It's your.
- 9:39It's your fault. Yeah, it's my.
- 9:40It's definitely my fault. I'll take that, I'll take that.
- 9:42That's a lot easier on my soul trying to find here.
- 9:47I didn't think it was this early.
- 9:49Maybe it. Was really early dude it.
- 9:50Used to be the most. Popular episodes.
- 9:53Used to be. Used to be.
- 9:55Then female wrestlers came along and you got your ass kicked.
- 9:59It was two years ago the last time you were.
- 10:01There I started wearing crazy stuff just to get like anything
- 10:05over this shirt says it's goon o'clock.
- 10:08Hopefully that gets us views. And it has cats on it.
- 10:10Thanks Sam. This.
- 10:11My girlfriend got me this. Is goon means jerking off now,
- 10:14right? That's like, that's the new kid
- 10:16term of beat your meat gooning. Is that what that means?
- 10:21No comment. It's whatever you want it to
- 10:24mean. Oh, I don't know what it I don't
- 10:26know what it means. I don't know it means either.
- 10:28I don't know the new the new hip lingo.
- 10:30I yeah, I. Don't know either.
- 10:31I don't know what that even is. I'm used to like, you call
- 10:37someone a goon, it's like, oh, OK, he's, he's a, he's a, he's a
- 10:39dumb meathead who likes to fight.
- 10:41You know what I mean? I don't.
- 10:43But now it means maybe something completely different.
- 10:45Who knows? But Speaking of wearing weird
- 10:46outfits, can we talk about some of your Twitch?
- 10:48Streams real quick, sure. Not a twitch stream but Billy.
- 10:53So I, I have been known to do inappropriate Omegle streams in
- 10:57my discord. And then Billy started doing it
- 11:00in his discord where he'll go on, he'll go on these Omegles
- 11:04and you wear like maid outfits and stuff and it's, and then you
- 11:06act like you're not wearing anything crazy.
- 11:08Like the I got super drunk in stone shocker and I would join
- 11:13his discord and I was just like in practical joker style in his
- 11:17head telling him what to do and just crying laughing because it
- 11:21was just a really fun time. And it was like you and like 7
- 11:24other people too. So I'm like let's let's add that
- 11:26up. And how many voices were in my
- 11:28fucking head? Oh, it's hard.
- 11:30I used to do it all the time. You know what?
- 11:32I. Mean my favorite 1 is when
- 11:33you're like turned because you have a very tiny little petite
- 11:35body and you're like, you're fixing the green screen and then
- 11:39they're like, hey, and you turn around, you have a big mustache
- 11:42and like, and they're like, Oh my God.
- 11:46It's not what they expected. Yeah, you're like, what?
- 11:48Is there something on your face? Something.
- 11:51I know that my hair, my hair is. My hair standing up or no I was
- 11:54like you're just when they give you a shocked reaction, but I
- 11:56know my green screen is is bent it's.
- 11:59Yeah, it's got, it's dusty. I mean, that's what I'm doing,
- 12:03man. I'm fixing it right?
- 12:04Now, Oh my God, that's so good. I loved it.
- 12:06Yeah. I haven't done anything really
- 12:08on hinge like that recently. Last time M was down I did get I
- 12:14we did a moonshine stream and apparently I still have AI.
- 12:19Still have a drinking problem? Like.
- 12:22We were doing like group games and every intermittently we
- 12:29would do my face paint, like Juggalo face paint.
- 12:31So I got really drunk and looked like Shaggy too dope and it was
- 12:35definitely a time. We.
- 12:37Should do that. We should, we should, we should
- 12:39do it like an ABJ stream and then like do a watch along for a
- 12:43movie or play video games and just and, and just get get
- 12:47crossfader or something and just do stupid stuff.
- 12:50I'll I'll drink, but I'm not gonna.
- 12:52You're just a crazy lightweight. I did drink half of the
- 12:55moonshine by myself. I've watched Billy sniff a beer
- 12:57one time. I get blackout drunk.
- 12:59Yeah. I threw water on someone.
- 13:01Billy Billy is is a crazy lightweight.
- 13:04Like he goes like he's hammered. He's hammered off the smell.
- 13:10He can't even walk by the England brewery without getting
- 13:13he's thrown up by the end of the block.
- 13:15He's hammered. It's unfair.
- 13:17I want to. I want to sign a petition to
- 13:19have it moved to. Anywhere else to anywhere else?
- 13:23Well, First off, no, I'm, I'm not sponsored yet, but I'm
- 13:27working on it. Yeah.
- 13:30Billy went to. What drag show did you go to?
- 13:31I'm reading the chat here. They had it at Pilger, they did
- 13:35the drag. Oh, the the bingo.
- 13:36The bingo. Yeah, we missed.
- 13:37That was Oh my God, it was so much fun.
- 13:40It was awesome. Drag shows are the fucking best.
- 13:41If you like going to drag shows, we'll take you.
- 13:42This time we go to a Yeah, it was my first. 1 And I, I
- 13:45genuinely had a great time but I was also like is this OK?
- 13:48Like every time that like M gave me a dollar and I would look at
- 13:51her like is this OK? How does this work?
- 13:55You know, like. Me, we have sex now.
- 13:58The one like the one queen like pulled their like strap over and
- 14:03like maybe put it in this strap. The other one had like long ass
- 14:07nails and they came over and they're like can I have a fry?
- 14:09And they like stole a fry and they ate it with their
- 14:12fingernails. It was so.
- 14:13Funny, I've been I I honestly by the drag queen podcasts were
- 14:17really fun. I really miss doing drag queen
- 14:18podcasts. I definitely want to bring that
- 14:20back. Yes, for sure.
- 14:22I mean and. This misfit I believe, I believe
- 14:24still run shows in the Harrisburg area and they are
- 14:27amazing. I'm a big Miss Miss Smith fan
- 14:29and yeah, we sure will definitely go out and support
- 14:31them. It's such a cool art form.
- 14:33For sure it is. It's it's so pro wrestling.
- 14:36It's like it's funny to me. It is 100% and the only thing
- 14:42that they really need, the only thing they really need is to
- 14:44like have a promo where they're like, I'm going to dance better
- 14:47than you, bitch. I'm going to, you know what I
- 14:49mean? That's all they need.
- 14:51That's all they need. Do you think, do you I I might
- 14:54pitch that. I think we'll have a I'm going
- 14:57to I'm here, we're going to brainstorm it here.
- 14:59I'm going to I'm going to run it through you and your chat and
- 15:00the chat here. But I think we should do I'll
- 15:03I'll pitch it to miss Misfit and be like, hey, pro wrestling drag
- 15:06stream a drag, a drag show. All the music is pro wrestling
- 15:09music, right. So like you come out and like do
- 15:13a sexy dance like DX suck it. Could you imagine the drag
- 15:19queen? That'd be great.
- 15:20But like but before every like performance, they have to cut a
- 15:24promo like you ain't shit like I'd be.
- 15:28Oh my God I would. I would have AI would pass away
- 15:31if I had if I watched. Cutting promos would be like the
- 15:34greatest thing in the world. Yeah, that should be an.
- 15:37Hour, they don't even fight. They don't even fight.
- 15:39It's just like. No, they Just Dance it out.
- 15:41They Just Dance it out. Yeah.
- 15:44Oh my God, how are they not promos and drag?
- 15:46Queens, I think we just created something that.
- 15:50Promos, promos and drag race like that has to be that has to
- 15:53be an element We so like when you watch on TV, the best part
- 15:56is, is when they're backstage and they're not performing and
- 15:58they're being caddy and talking shit to each other.
- 16:01So the promo aspect is in drag shows and in drag show on TV.
- 16:06But I feel like that should be something you do in front of a
- 16:07live crowd. Like you should insult or really
- 16:11like your opponent and be like, I like you, but I I like the way
- 16:14I'm going to have to dance. I'm going to have to dance
- 16:17better than you. I'm going.
- 16:17To have to dance a grave around you.
- 16:23Oh, yeah, it's so good. Yeah, they did.
- 16:26They did do an episode of like a wrestling episode on RuPaul.
- 16:29I remember watching that and I remember, oh, my God, Lily
- 16:34showed me the episode of RuPaul's Drag Race where they
- 16:36had pro wrestling on. And I'm watching it.
- 16:38And I go, oh, this is very problematic.
- 16:41And she goes, why? And I go because the guy who's
- 16:43training the drag Queens had a pro wrestle is cancelled like.
- 16:47Oh man. It was Joey Ryan.
- 16:50Oh geez. The guy who used to like, make
- 16:51people touch his ween. Oh, yeah, though that's not a
- 16:54good look. Yeah.
- 16:55He was the one, he was the one coaching.
- 16:57He wasn't in that character, but he was the one coaching them on
- 17:00the episode. And I was like, oh man, that's
- 17:02like having Chris Benoit as your coach.
- 17:04You know what I mean? For people who are watching who
- 17:07don't know, Chris Benoit murdered his whole family and
- 17:10himself. So it's not a great, not a great
- 17:13pro wrestling story, but yeah, but this guy family.
- 17:16Therapist Truthfully. Yeah.
- 17:20Jesus Christ, yeah, I'm cancelled anytime I come on your
- 17:23podcast. It's just another check market
- 17:25reasons he shouldn't be around. Honestly, honestly, I'm I'm this
- 17:31person everywhere I go and at all times.
- 17:33This is just who I am. I don't like, I mean, well, I
- 17:36don't actually mean to hurt people's feelings, but it's just
- 17:38my humor. I, I, I combat my depression and
- 17:40anxiety with dark humor. But I had a guy tell me he goes,
- 17:43if this is how you are all the time, I can't even imagine you
- 17:45in a podcast. So I'm going to, I'm going to
- 17:47subscribe, giving people what they want, you know what I mean?
- 17:49That's awesome, dude. No, I get that.
- 17:51I totally understand from a musician's perspective and, and
- 17:56now like how you have to be a online personality in order to
- 18:01do anything because like realistically, like I'm not
- 18:04shit. I know it looks like, I know it
- 18:08looks like I have a big fucking thing going 'cause if you go to
- 18:13my Instagram, it's like 15,000 follow or 1500 followers.
- 18:17I wish I had 15,015 hundred followers.
- 18:20You know, my posts hit like 50 to 100 likes and stuff like
- 18:23that. But it's like that stuff doesn't
- 18:28translate to actual foot traffic within your like developmental
- 18:31space. And you have to defend yourself
- 18:35a lot in this climate. And so that's why I make it a
- 18:38point to tell a lot of people I'm like, you know, I want a
- 18:41safe world for sure, but I don't want any, any sensitive world.
- 18:46I don't care who you are, what you do or what you believe in.
- 18:48But like, if, as long as you're not hurting anyone and your
- 18:52goals are to make the world better for everyone else and and
- 18:56you can just give your care up for, you know, your first of all
- 19:00for yourself is and foremost is the most important thing.
- 19:04But it takes a lot to take care of others.
- 19:07And that shows a lot more character than anything.
- 19:10I think. And it might sound stupid, but
- 19:14there's been so many times where like, I had a show booked and
- 19:18mentally couldn't get there or you know what I mean?
- 19:21And I wasn't feeling it. And I was like, if I do this
- 19:23show, it's going to be miserable and I'm not going to be happy or
- 19:26I was sick. So I would message numerous
- 19:29artists that have already given me opportunities.
- 19:31And I'd be like, hey, come do this, you know?
- 19:33And the only way a lot of people shit on like the music scene in
- 19:37this area, and the only way for a scene to exist in a world that
- 19:42we have now is to actually build each other up rather than to be
- 19:46like, I want this show, I want that show.
- 19:49Not that I know anybody that's like that, but I've definitely
- 19:52seen like I do have a. Critique though when it comes to
- 19:54local music scene. I remember.
- 19:57When I first got into this content space 8-9 years ago, the
- 20:02music scene was a huge chunk of it.
- 20:04I I interviewed a lot of the local people in this area.
- 20:06You yourself included the old interviews of everyday people.
- 20:09But I I but I also remember days where if a band.
- 20:13Was playing. On a Friday night at.
- 20:17Goodfellas or. If they were at a local bar, a
- 20:20lot of the other bands showed up and supported that band.
- 20:24I I think we have. A lot of people who play it like
- 20:26Pilguru is our spot right now. That's essentially where we
- 20:28that's where the music is. That's where I go and watch
- 20:30probably the most live music. That's one of.
- 20:33Three places in this area, which makes.
- 20:35My point, even worse, what I say what I'm about to say because
- 20:40we'll have a show and it's an outside person or it's someone
- 20:43who is not from the area who is being brought in to maybe help
- 20:47uplift our music scene and bring more eyes and bring more
- 20:50attention. And not one local musician shows
- 20:53up to that person's show. It's like if if I'm not booked,
- 20:56I'm not showing up. And I think that mentality isn't
- 20:59going to help this local scene at all.
- 21:02Dude, I think that's not a huge reason why because my huge
- 21:08reason has always been to support my friends when I have
- 21:12the money to do so. I always go out and I go see
- 21:15anyone and if I've already seen someone a million times, like
- 21:17I'll go see someone else. Like that's just how it is.
- 21:19Literally like last night. Precious not to break kayfabe.
- 21:24We've been friends for a long time and he hit me up and sent
- 21:27me, you know, the flyer and everything.
- 21:29He's like, this is going to be my first ladder match.
- 21:31I would love for you to be there and you know, see it.
- 21:34And I'm like, dude, I've wanted to come out since you started,
- 21:37you know, doing this shit. I just had a lot of ups and
- 21:40downs and stuff. It does say goon.
- 21:43It's goon O clock baby. And so you know it, I was like,
- 21:50oh, it's 20 bucks, all right, I'll go do that.
- 21:52I should be getting paid this week.
- 21:54Whatever. And then turned out like, Andy
- 21:57Hedder was wrestling that night. The only thing I saw on the
- 21:59flyer was just the ladder match, So I didn't know who all was
- 22:02there. And then Andy Hedder came out.
- 22:03I was like, oh, this is sick. And then Tony's music hits, and
- 22:06I'm like, that sounds familiar. And then like, he comes out and
- 22:09he was like, dude, I didn't know you were gonna be here.
- 22:11Like neither of them knew. And I'm like, well, I'm the only
- 22:13person that told me was precious.
- 22:15Like that's kind of on you guys. But no and.
- 22:18And me and Andy Hedder talked about it too, 'cause he'll be
- 22:21like, man, I've, I shared it a lot.
- 22:24I don't know how you wouldn't have seen it, you know what I
- 22:26mean? I'm like, the algorithm hates
- 22:27us. That's just how it is that I
- 22:29mean, I, I shared a lot. Too.
- 22:30But I'm not a wrestler, so people don't come to the shows
- 22:32for me. No, I don't.
- 22:34Even I don't even see your posts specifically, like I don't know
- 22:39anything that you've been up to because your timelines.
- 22:41Probably flooded with big booby goth girls, you know what I
- 22:44mean? That too, but.
- 22:45The only time I see it is when you send me stuff on Snapchat
- 22:49and I'm like that's the go to honestly that's.
- 22:51Why I use? Snapchat as much as I do and I
- 22:53quick add random people because you never know you never fucking
- 22:56know like for a while there I was getting like 100,000 views
- 22:59per post on Instagram wow like crazy numbers.
- 23:04They didn't translate to any other platform, but people were
- 23:06looking at stuff. So that's that's the.
- 23:08Thing though is like, so you know, now I've been going out to
- 23:13shows places that I've never been to before. 1 specifically
- 23:16is Union Vapors, which is in Scranton, which is way out of
- 23:19our area. It's like an hour, 20 minutes
- 23:22away. They sponsored a.
- 23:23Wrestling show that I I worked at one time oh really Oh yeah
- 23:26the. The The New Era show.
- 23:29And it was in the the Scranton Mall.
- 23:31Oh, what? That's what I had, yeah, they
- 23:33were. They were.
- 23:33They were the sponsors of the show.
- 23:35They were really cool. Though Ken's really nice and
- 23:38literally everyone that works there.
- 23:39They have the nicest sound system I've ever seen in a vape
- 23:42shop. Yeah, it's.
- 23:45It's it's it's awesome, but like I would go out and see bands
- 23:47that I've never seen before, never heard of and just be like,
- 23:50hey, I'm a musician too, so I want to like check everyone out
- 23:53and through that, you know, I think my hope is that they would
- 23:58then come out and turn for my shows or at least watch my
- 24:01streams or you know what I mean, like and support.
- 24:03So it's it's, but it's rare, but it does happen that a band isn't
- 24:08too focused on themselves, that they share the people that are
- 24:11also lifting them up as. Yeah, well, I mean.
- 24:14I called you the one day like, hey, man, there's a showdown, a
- 24:15pill guru and this guy came all the way from fucking like
- 24:19Virginia and no one's here. Can you if you're not busy, can
- 24:23you just come down and fucking hang out with me and support
- 24:25this guy? And we literally sat and just
- 24:27scream sang out of the whole time because he played
- 24:29everything we like. And then that became a
- 24:31relationship and now you guys tour together and hang out and
- 24:33do stuff like that's that's what it's about, dude.
- 24:36Brad is so. Cool, We talked to each other.
- 24:38I literally just talked to him before doing this episode and I
- 24:41was like, hey, I'm doing this podcast with Tony.
- 24:43I know that you did the five, you know, questions.
- 24:46Maybe you you know what I mean? Like I just sent him like in a
- 24:49mass message thing. He's he's like, send me the
- 24:51fucking link, fucker. That that's why I was like, do
- 24:53you have a link I can send him? Yeah, he's great.
- 24:57I. Love him, he's so cool and he's
- 24:58so. Chill and he does a lot of
- 25:00covers that not a lot of people do and in so many different
- 25:04spaces too. I remember the so last show we
- 25:07just did was the Barn at the River Run Inn and it was me,
- 25:14Brad Junk punk, Bobby Crumb from Cole State, which was a band.
- 25:20And. Let's see Timmy.
- 25:23I don't know how I almost forgot Timmy.
- 25:25Like I'm playing shows with him. Never.
- 25:26Yeah, some other guy. He was he was outside smoking.
- 25:28Chain smoking cigarettes and yelling at kids for driving
- 25:31their bikes on the sidewalk. Yeah, but.
- 25:35Yeah, And me and Brad were just talking like, man, this is.
- 25:38And that's all he does. All he does is is play.
- 25:42That's how he makes his money. And I'm like, you're crazy.
- 25:45Like you're living the punk lifestyle.
- 25:47So in turn you did you tell him or did I tell him that I, you
- 25:52know, I played with handguns for a little bit, something like I
- 25:55must have told him because he was like, what do you do?
- 25:56And I was like, I've toured in this band and he was like, dude,
- 25:59I like that band. I've listened to them, right?
- 26:02And then come, you know, a week ago Handguns current tour
- 26:06manager messaged me and they were like, Hey, do you have any
- 26:09shows like that you can help us book for this area or do you
- 26:12know anyone in these specific places?
- 26:14And I was like, message this guy.
- 26:16And then it was Brad. I was like, message Brad and
- 26:20freaking. So I hit him up after.
- 26:21I was like, hey man, hope they got back to you or hope they
- 26:24message you. He's like, yeah, they did, dude,
- 26:25we got this show and that. And I'm.
- 26:27He was like, I'm really grateful for that.
- 26:29So like for me, I think it's important that I just like
- 26:32realize who. Who's a real musician?
- 26:36Who's a real person and kind of scrape off the mold of people
- 26:41just trying to step on heads to get up and like buy fucking
- 26:44views and buy listens and and all that bullshit and you're not
- 26:48gonna get anywhere. Why is it a thing?
- 26:50In the music world where like, hey, me, Brad and Timmy are good
- 26:55buddies, but we're not like we all play the same instrument.
- 26:59We all do the same thing. So like we can't collaborate.
- 27:02We can't do bands. We could tour together, but
- 27:04that's pretty much like that. I feel like the idea of this,
- 27:07like, hey, maybe we should like run a song together.
- 27:08Let's do like a song, like one song you put on your album, I
- 27:11put on my album. Like, why isn't that a thing
- 27:13more in other music? Like it happens a lot more on
- 27:16hip hop and R&B. We're like, they'll a hip hop
- 27:19guy will go to an R&B song or vice versa and they'll lay a
- 27:21verse down. And then people are like, oh, I
- 27:23listen to this artist all the time and this person came on as
- 27:26a collaborator about all artists.
- 27:29I want to listen to more of their stuff.
- 27:30That doesn't really happen in the rock punk scene.
- 27:35I would agree but I think more so this year in inherently like
- 27:39Spirit Box did a lot of feature like everything this year
- 27:44specifically. Maybe it's just people catching
- 27:47on. Silverstein just put out a new
- 27:50album and there's at least 4 features.
- 27:52A lot of a lot of punk bands put out out like free throw just re
- 27:56released an album that has a lot of features on old songs, which
- 27:58is like shout out free throw, Corey, the homies.
- 28:03But yeah, a lot a lot of a lot of artists this year
- 28:06specifically are doing collabs, I think primarily because of the
- 28:10TikTok and Instagram trends. And they're like, hey, if you
- 28:14work with this person. Yeah, Amy Lee, Poppy and the I
- 28:17think it's the girl from Spirit Box just did like a three three
- 28:21artists cover. I listened to that, not.
- 28:23Really made me listen to it. It was really cool.
- 28:25Yeah. So it's.
- 28:26Like, I don't think it's ever not been a thing.
- 28:29I think it's been less likely, but I think the hardest part is
- 28:32finding people that you can write and collaborate with in
- 28:35your style of music. But isn't that the challenge?
- 28:38Though to find people that maybe are not in your style, like and
- 28:42and challenge yourself for sure but.
- 28:44I think you also have to have your heart and what you're
- 28:47doing. And I, I don't think a lot of
- 28:48like, not that me and Timmy or Brad wouldn't do that.
- 28:51I think it's more so like time constraints for us.
- 28:54I mean like, I know I have a lot of time, but in reality that
- 28:58time has spent me focusing on are are even just like.
- 29:02Make I don't know how this works from a content standpoint
- 29:04because I'm not I'm not up to like copyright laws or how it
- 29:08works. But just like I show up one day
- 29:10and you guys are all hanging out and you just play like a jam
- 29:11session, like maybe. Oh, because me and Brad both
- 29:14like this emo band, we're going to cover it and I'll just have
- 29:17someone film it and then put it online like that.
- 29:19Stuff like that is, is how you blow up.
- 29:21Like yeah, lately I've. Been doing that a lot at the end
- 29:24of shows when I have time and I don't have to go home right
- 29:27away. It started in Philly.
- 29:29I played a show with Black Cowboy, Cheap City Forever and
- 29:35this artist that goes by SB and after we played the show it's
- 29:39like 11:00 at night. But I was like, me and SB just
- 29:42really got along. We had a lot of the same
- 29:44interest musically and stuff like that.
- 29:45And we were talking about the band Say Anything.
- 29:48So we did an impromptu cover of a say anything song in like this
- 29:51parking this laundromat parking lot right next to the venue.
- 29:54And that's that's up on my Instagram and stuff too.
- 29:56That's awesome. So, but I've been trying to
- 29:58recapture that. But I want it to be genuine.
- 30:01You know, I don't want to go up to someone and just because we
- 30:03played a show together like hey man, I know that like mood,
- 30:06blah, blah, blah, like you want to do this or whatever.
- 30:08So I, I just want it to be more of a genuine interaction than
- 30:12being like, I do this at everything, you know, you know,
- 30:15it would be a. Cool move.
- 30:17Can I pitch an ID? The ability?
- 30:18I think you're talented enough to pull this off.
- 30:20So like Brad or Tim, you tour with them a lot, right?
- 30:24I think it'd be a cool. I think it'd be a cool nod.
- 30:27If like, hey, I'm going to go play with Johnny Crumb.
- 30:30I don't know. I was just a fine name you said
- 30:32earlier, I thought. Bobby Crumb, Johnny.
- 30:34Bobby but I just remember Crumb because it's a it was from a
- 30:37Nickelodeon TV show, but like you listen to one of his songs
- 30:42and learn it and he but don't tell him.
- 30:44And then the day of the show will be like, Hey, when you play
- 30:46that song, can I come come join you And like almost shock him
- 30:49that you took the time out to learn his thing and figure out
- 30:52what he's doing and then do that collaboration.
- 30:54And I think he like, that's like a great way to feel like it for
- 30:56his followers to be like, Oh, Billy's actually a fan of his
- 30:58music. They're not just working
- 30:59together because they're trying to do like he generally cares
- 31:02about him. Like, I think that's a cool nod
- 31:04to your fellow musician of like, hey, man, I took time out to
- 31:07learn your chords and stuff and, and I'd like to perform that
- 31:09with you if you're cool with it. Like, you know, I think that's a
- 31:12cool. Like when you're on a stage and
- 31:13two bands are collaborating or they're doing a tour together
- 31:16and then one comes out and plays a song with the other.
- 31:18It's a genuine, it's a genuine music feeling of like, holy
- 31:21shit, they actually like each other.
- 31:23This is not just a business agreement.
- 31:24You know what I mean? Like 100.
- 31:26Percent No, I I agree with that for sure.
- 31:29And it's, it's something that I've thought about.
- 31:32It's just kind of hard cause a lot of artists in our area
- 31:34specifically like change up how they play their songs.
- 31:38A lot of us do, you know what I mean?
- 31:40Like some days we're having a rough day.
- 31:41So we're like, I'm gonna play it in this key instead.
- 31:43But no, I definitely think I, I have the full confidence that
- 31:47like, improvisation is a big thing.
- 31:49And I mean, you've seen me play with Mikey before, who's the guy
- 31:53that accompanies me on sax. He's amazing.
- 31:57He. Can play and he.
- 31:58Can play any instrument. He plays with Timmy.
- 32:00He plays with any band that is on the bill of that day.
- 32:04He will ask to play with any instrument.
- 32:07You know what? The you know what?
- 32:08The best this part about him was so he he came to an open mic and
- 32:12Eddie, your your uncle walks up to me and goes, this guy's
- 32:16fucking amazing. And I go what?
- 32:17And he goes, I, I'm a, you think I'm a pretty good musician,
- 32:20right? And I go, I think you're one of
- 32:21the best. He goes, that guy kicks my ass
- 32:25and I was like, no way. And he's like, yeah.
- 32:28And and if if Eddie gives says like watch this, like pay
- 32:32attention, I immediately go I I respect his he I respect his
- 32:37take that he's going to like I that's what I would like to be
- 32:39in the world of entertainment or my content of like I've earned
- 32:42the respect of like, hey, if I if I like this movie or here's
- 32:45why I like this movie, you respected or you're like, OK, I
- 32:47understand where he came from. Or like, oh, a wrestler.
- 32:49I should definitely go check this out or a musician check him
- 32:52out like because not only OK, I think it's important because
- 32:55sometimes you're like, I really like this artist and then you
- 32:57find out they're like dirt balls and you're like shit that.
- 32:59Hurts, you know. What I mean, I promise you if
- 33:01I'm putting you on to a person on my podcast, I'm making sure
- 33:05they're not a dirt ball. Like now.
- 33:07I mean, listen, I have some past episodes that can maybe say the
- 33:10difference. But like last night backstage or
- 33:14even like in general, I feel like I'm treating anything I
- 33:17work with or people I work with like jail.
- 33:19Like you walk up to me and I'm like, yo, show me your papers.
- 33:21Like I need to learn about you. I want to know who.
- 33:24I need to see. I need to see who you're
- 33:25following. I need to see what who you voted
- 33:27for. I want to know what religion
- 33:29you're in. Why are you here?
- 33:31I need 10 references from previous girlfriends.
- 33:34Like I I'm not playing anymore. Like I'm not associating myself
- 33:37with dirt balls. You know what I mean?
- 33:39Not doing it. I'm run your papers.
- 33:41I need your papers. No.
- 33:43And it's it's hard. To obviously I'm not going to
- 33:46touch on like, political shit because it's war right now.
- 33:49And I think the last thing I need to do is stoke a fire of
- 33:52something that doesn't even fucking pertain to my existence.
- 33:56You know what I mean? And you know, we're in a world.
- 34:00Yeah, I'm Ally, brother. I'll fight.
- 34:03And fucking yeah, my, my perspective on it is like, I
- 34:09don't try to go too in depth with people, but if I see
- 34:12something, I'm obviously going to say something and be like,
- 34:14yo, what you did like I don't agree with in this manner.
- 34:18And you know, that's just how it is.
- 34:20You know what I mean? But I try.
- 34:24To get too caught up in too with the trends, but like also when
- 34:27the trends happen, I feel like somebody with maybe I'm being
- 34:31egotistic when I say this, but like I feel like my take can
- 34:33matter. Like, oh, listen, I don't I
- 34:35don't think you should condone this, but also to do this is
- 34:38probably not the best thing either.
- 34:39You know what I mean? Like.
- 34:41At the end of the day, let's. Let's not play into the system.
- 34:43Well, the thing The thing is. Too.
- 34:44And I know that we're vaguely talking about the same
- 34:47situation, but it's like so if you're listening.
- 34:49If you're listening. To this it is.
- 34:50It is September the 14th and this is.
- 34:53Not too far. After the assassination or
- 34:56murder of a content creator, like as even a content creator,
- 34:59man, that changes the game for people like us too.
- 35:01We're we're look like a couple months, a couple weeks before
- 35:04this podcast a a professional MMA fighter got in the ring and
- 35:07almost killed a pro wrestler, but you know what I mean.
- 35:09And then a couple weeks later, a think creator is shot and killed
- 35:12at a college campus. That's my 2 industries that are
- 35:16now looked at differently and like, you're tiptoeing on stuff,
- 35:21you know what I mean? Like, yeah, yeah, it's, it's.
- 35:24Because someone could be like. Yo this pod, this stupid
- 35:27podcaster isn't a part of my thing and he's in my local town
- 35:30like it turns. Depends.
- 35:31What you're doing into a political agenda of any kind,
- 35:34and it's kind of bullshit because the way that I see it is
- 35:37like, fucking if you're not inherently trying to harm
- 35:42people, then you know, you're, you don't even have to be a good
- 35:46person. You know what I mean?
- 35:48Like, you could be, you could be a dirt ball and exist.
- 35:50But like, being a good person just is easier on my conscience
- 35:55to keep you around. Yeah, totally.
- 35:57But you know. Differing opinions is totally
- 36:01fine as long as your opinions aren't.
- 36:04Oh, I think the X should happen to.
- 36:07Yeah, maybe, maybe shut. The fuck up on those, You know
- 36:10what I mean? Yeah.
- 36:12I. Don't care what?
- 36:12Book you read, keep it yourself. Exactly.
- 36:16Yeah, but. It is.
- 36:18It is. Crazy though, in a world where
- 36:20like you not only as a are a person, but you're like, you're
- 36:24an influencer now. You know, even if you're not a
- 36:27podcaster, you can just post on Facebook and everyone's like,
- 36:29well, your opinion is 1000 times louder than everyone else's for
- 36:32what reason? You know what I mean?
- 36:34Like just shit like that. And it's like I've, I've had no
- 36:38voice for a long time because I just sat right in the middle.
- 36:41And now I'm at the point where I'm like, actually this is
- 36:43affecting people that matter to me.
- 36:44I should probably actually do some shit.
- 36:46So like it lies within myself too.
- 36:49I shouldn't have been dormant for years but I'm 26 and I'm
- 36:54still trying to figure out my fucking life so get over it.
- 36:56You're not dude. I'm.
- 36:57I'm I'm almost 40 and I have I'm still fucking guessing, you know
- 37:00what I mean? No one really knows what the
- 37:01fuck we're doing. Like your our grandfathers were
- 37:04probably were like fucking in their 60s and 70s or whatever
- 37:07and me and like. I just wake up man.
- 37:10And I. Figure it out.
- 37:11You know what I mean? It's like so like.
- 37:13I feel like people don't realize how much time matters in in that
- 37:17sense because, you know, back in the day somewhere.
- 37:21Your dream collabs, though. Yeah.
- 37:23Great segue. This is where I was going.
- 37:25My grandfather, he passed away when I was young.
- 37:27No. I don't know.
- 37:32As far as dream collabs go, 'cause this is a good way to get
- 37:36off of this topic and I I like it.
- 37:40Definitely. I definitely.
- 37:41Smoke and popes definitely. If like Fat Mike from No FX
- 37:44wanted to do something, I would so do it, even though he's a
- 37:47controversial individual as well.
- 37:51Yeah, basically any artist that has inspired me, I would love to
- 37:54collaborate with. Is there a local person?
- 37:56That you want to collaborate with?
- 37:58Yeah. Fucking everyone did and
- 38:01literally every, every artist that I've ever played with, I
- 38:04would love to be on a Churches and Trains song.
- 38:06I would love to be on a, you know, a yell at God song or A
- 38:10and and that's, it's funny too, because they had put out a whole
- 38:13thing where you could be on one of their tracks and I just
- 38:15wasn't home at the time, so I couldn't even record it.
- 38:19But like as far as actually like write sitting down and writing a
- 38:22song together, I would love to write with Timmy.
- 38:25I would love to write with Mikey because everything that we play
- 38:28is just stuff that I've written and he is just collaborating
- 38:32with me. Yeah.
- 38:36I'm actually, I'm playing a show this week, the 19th.
- 38:43So yeah, I think it's this week coming up 19th.
- 38:47Oh yeah, Friday. Yeah.
- 38:48So this. Friday I'm playing in Lancaster
- 38:50at the DLZ house and it's an Ask a Punk event.
- 38:54Keep your house shows alive, you know love them because we create
- 38:59safe environments for everyone to exist in, which is awesome.
- 39:02And it's fucking if we if we can't get tickets.
- 39:04To Dracula and Saint Clair will come out yeah, I mean, it's.
- 39:07A bit of. A It's a bit of a drive, but I
- 39:10kind of rather. That I feel like we've been in
- 39:12this same area for a while. I need to get out and you should
- 39:15I think. You would enjoy it.
- 39:16I think you would have a great time.
- 39:17I'm also trying to support. The local, like if I'm not going
- 39:20to your show on Friday, I'm going to support like local
- 39:22theatre. Like I'm trying to like I want
- 39:25to go into more majestic shows. I want to, you know what I mean?
- 39:27I'm trying to get my stuff out there more and do stuff 100.
- 39:30Percent. But so this DLZ house is like a
- 39:32big deal in the indie space, indie sphere, whatever you want
- 39:37to call it. And it's hard to get in.
- 39:40But actually my buddy Justin, he is the person that booked the
- 39:44show because I've wanted this a long time.
- 39:46So launch conference was in March this year, which was like
- 39:52the first big event that I've ever played, which like launch
- 39:55conference includes like 30 or 15 different venues all around
- 40:01that general area in Lancaster, breweries, the hotel, like
- 40:07restaurants of artists just playing everywhere and.
- 40:11When I looked at my flyer for my date, I saw Justin.
- 40:14And I was like, huh, That name, like all the names stuck out was
- 40:17like, Bright Kelly, Justin. There was Alex Brubaker, I think
- 40:21was on there. And there was another artist.
- 40:23And I'm so sorry that I don't remember your name, but I try
- 40:26really hard to. You're dead to me.
- 40:27You're dead to me. Yeah, you're dead to.
- 40:30Me. They'll they'll never play with
- 40:32me again. But anyway, I looked them all up
- 40:35and I've hit up Bright Kelly a couple times too, but Justin
- 40:38specifically, I really liked his voice.
- 40:41I even bought his tape that he was selling at The One Show that
- 40:45we played together. So this is his tape bowl by
- 40:48Justin Adams. It's so good.
- 40:51He. Goes by.
- 40:52Justin Ace on Instagram, I believe, and his song Latchkey
- 40:56is just like the catchiest shit that I've ever heard.
- 40:59At first, I really like TV lines, which is the second song.
- 41:03And then the third song is Keep Dreaming Kid.
- 41:05And now it's just like it was a toss up between Keep Dreaming
- 41:08and Latchkey. But I think Latchkey is
- 41:09definitely my favorite. So like I looked him up prior to
- 41:12my show and I was like, this guy is the guy.
- 41:14I like his style, I like what he's doing.
- 41:16Like I want to work with this guy.
- 41:18So that's a dream collab for sure.
- 41:21And I hit him up and I was like, yo, we should play together.
- 41:23And then I went on Spotify and I was just listening to like our
- 41:26blend. Like what comes up when you
- 41:28listen to the Converse kid and Justin's music.
- 41:31And this dude Dan Rogers showed up.
- 41:33He goes by Rand Dodgers. It's kind of funny, but he plays
- 41:38in a ton of bands in like the Phoenixville area And he his
- 41:42voice is just phenomenal and his like musicianship is amazing.
- 41:47Who's the who's the guy? I.
- 41:48Sent you a while ago that does all the blink 182 covers and he
- 41:51he'll do all the like country. Things, yeah, he'll do like
- 41:54this. Song by blink 182 or like this
- 41:56song I. I feel like him and Eddie would
- 41:58be a fucking monster duo for sure.
- 42:02I mean they almost look the same too.
- 42:03I know they look like the. Same human, but I, I think
- 42:05musicianly and like personality wise, I think they would be
- 42:08really fun. They would be a fun
- 42:10collaboration. Yeah, just insert.
- 42:12Him into the Collins. Family and nobody would ever
- 42:14know, you know what I mean? Yeah.
- 42:16Fuck yeah, dude. But that's what's crazy about
- 42:18it. So the that's our music's tastes
- 42:21were similar. Our interests were similar, you
- 42:23know, and personality wise, I think we all fall within the
- 42:26same category. And I just asked them.
- 42:30I was like, can we play a show together and then leave it up to
- 42:33Justin to be the one who was able to book a show where the
- 42:36other two were free? And so now we're playing.
- 42:39Yeah. So what what time are you
- 42:40getting out there on? Friday, Like what time are you
- 42:42leaving? I don't know.
- 42:43'Cause I need to. Relook at the doors and stuff
- 42:46like that. But I could after this I could
- 42:48send you and give you the 'cause I I don't get out of work.
- 42:50Till like 4:30. So I don't, I don't know if
- 42:53you'll be gone. You.
- 42:53You'll be awake gone by then, maybe.
- 42:56Loncast is like a 40. 5 minute hour drive if if that, yeah,
- 42:59it's like an hour. For me, I don't know what time
- 43:00the show. Starts.
- 43:03But if if if you're. Still home before, I mean, I'll
- 43:06ride up with you and like, I'll vlog it.
- 43:07I'll put, I'll do an I'll vlog episode where me and you go on
- 43:10the road and you go perform and I'll just sit around the venue
- 43:12and just take it in and record stuff and I'll put, we'll make a
- 43:15vlog out of it. So if you don't leave by 4:30,
- 43:18I'll I'll jump in with you and go.
- 43:19So that'd be rad. I think that be super cool and
- 43:23it would be an interesting. The only thing is it's not a
- 43:25like put the address out there thing.
- 43:26So there's definitely you have to do it like undercover, but
- 43:31it'd be like a really cool love log and an idea.
- 43:35Oh yeah, I'm not going to dox. People, I'll just take like
- 43:38people on stage or crowd moments like I'm not going to like, no,
- 43:41I'm pulling into the house. You know me because.
- 43:45Like Apes of the State is like one of the bigger names in in
- 43:48the full punk industry and they've played this venue and
- 43:50then like they're playing within the same week.
- 43:53So they shared it. So like it's, it's really cool
- 43:55to me that like, Oh my God, this like big band is what I view as
- 43:59a big band. What my friends have told me is
- 44:01like, the band has shared this thing that I'm doing with like
- 44:04two guys, guys that I've always wanted to play a show with and
- 44:07like. And the birdist is.
- 44:09Playing who's another talented artist I didn't know about until
- 44:12this show is booked and I've I like I haven't listened to them
- 44:16that much. So I can't like, be like, you
- 44:19know, I thought, Todd Bird started.
- 44:21A new project and it was called. The different guy, different guy
- 44:26or different person? I don't.
- 44:28Know. Tom's a join.
- 44:29Join the project. Well, what what makes you
- 44:32qualified? I hold a guitar and my last name
- 44:34is Bird. Bird.
- 44:35That's. Right as fuck.
- 44:37You're the birdiest of the bird. I'm super stoked.
- 44:40About that show, anyone that's listening should totally come
- 44:42out to that. It's going to be a great time if
- 44:44you know the address. And all that if you know the
- 44:45address if. You DM them and if you're a cool
- 44:47person you could totally get the address for sure.
- 44:49We're going to run your papers. We're going to see.
- 44:52We're going to check your Internet search history.
- 44:54We have to check what videos you're watching on YouTube.
- 44:56It's a whole process. But we'll make sure and make I'm
- 44:59not a belt. I don't listen to me.
- 45:00I'm just being funny. But no.
- 45:02And maybe, who knows, keep an eye on the channel and maybe
- 45:05we'll we'll we'll do a a vlog of the experience.
- 45:09Yeah. Yeah.
- 45:10So, So since we've talked, have you had any setbacks or
- 45:13adversities that you had to overcome?
- 45:16Yeah, yeah, I. Don't know what you want to talk
- 45:20about but. Yeah, a lot.
- 45:24You just want me to tell. You what you went through for
- 45:26the no, no, no, no. I went.
- 45:29Through a. Rough, rough patch and A and a
- 45:31breakup and a total downward spiral.
- 45:34I went on tour and then I came home and completely forgot, like
- 45:38who I was is the best way to put it.
- 45:40I felt like I was in a state of like, I just wasn't around.
- 45:47Like I existed, but I wasn't here.
- 45:49And so I just kind of lost myself and I had a really good
- 45:53job and and I loved my crew that I worked with and everything.
- 45:56And they're still like awesome people.
- 45:58I'm gonna try to go to a Halloween party that one of
- 46:01them's hosting, you know, it's like, so nothing on them, but I
- 46:04literally like, I remember you. Should you?
- 46:06Should go in your. Old work uniform for the
- 46:09Halloween. Thing dude though, you know they
- 46:11would. They would lose their shit I
- 46:13think. It'd be funny.
- 46:14But I think they'd probably be like leave, No, they a lot of
- 46:18them have asked for me to come back, but I just can't.
- 46:20I just in. In my in.
- 46:23My. History.
- 46:24I'm not able to do that. But yeah, so.
- 46:27I remember I woke up one day and I just wasn't here, You know, I,
- 46:33I, my boss called my mom and was like, hey, where's Billy?
- 46:37Like, why, why isn't he at work today?
- 46:38And she came into my room and she's like, are you going to
- 46:41work? What's going on?
- 46:42And keep in mind like this, that year I like lost my closest
- 46:48friend, my cat that I loved for a long time and had to like go
- 46:52through that whole trauma. My relationship at the time was
- 46:56constantly like, oh, we're off now, we're on again, now we're
- 47:00off again. Like it was like a whole fucking
- 47:01mess. And and I just didn't know who I
- 47:03was anymore. And I just kind of gave up and I
- 47:05started just like I went to work every day, came home, slept,
- 47:08went to work every day, came home, slept, had no worse at.
- 47:11Spiral as a creative person is the worst.
- 47:13Like you feel like you're becoming human.
- 47:16I'm not. Even human anymore.
- 47:17I feel like I'm but but no, that's what I feel.
- 47:19Like the rest of the world is, is like, I go to work, I come
- 47:21home, I sleep or I come home, I eat, I sleep, I go to work.
- 47:24I, you know what I mean? Like that, rinse and repeat.
- 47:26Like I couldn't, I, I do that. I just tell them, Lily, like, I
- 47:28come home and it's like, all right, I got to figure out a way
- 47:30to create something or play or, or, or interview or watch
- 47:33something so I can talk about it later.
- 47:35Like it just. And then when that goes away and
- 47:38you go into like that, yeah, that mode, it's tough to dig out
- 47:41of. And it was that.
- 47:43Right after doing achieving one of the biggest goals in my life,
- 47:47which was playing the venue chain reaction and I was able to
- 47:50do that through the dudes and handguns that like they brought
- 47:53me on my first ever tour. They helped me with so much in
- 47:57my in my musical career as far as like booking shows and just
- 48:01learning my own worth and, and that I'm a talented musician and
- 48:05artist, you know, and, and obviously there's been ups and
- 48:08downs with that two of us, like butting heads or whatever, But
- 48:11I've always, I'll always say it like Jake is crazy, but I love
- 48:15him for everything that he's done for me and he's still like
- 48:17a Big Brother to me as as always, you know, Jake, Jake's
- 48:20Jake. 'S great.
- 48:22He's a he's a great. Crazy man.
- 48:26But yeah, the the handguns did a lot for me for sure.
- 48:30But then it also helped me forge my own path.
- 48:33And when I came home from this tour that, like, fucking, I just
- 48:37thought of taking cool spaces. Yeah, yeah.
- 48:41Like I don't talk to. Him ever, like, we just don't
- 48:43talk. And then I'll just get like a
- 48:45random message and I'll be like, just say something and it's like
- 48:48so out of left field and I'll be like, all right, man, oh, my
- 48:52God. But he messaged me.
- 48:53He messaged me after my car accident.
- 48:56Oh, really? He's like, yeah.
- 48:57And he's like, if that car's total, I'll take the parts.
- 49:00I need them. I was just like, I'll let you
- 49:04know. I'll keep you in the loop.
- 49:12Just like like. I'm good.
- 49:17Yeah. My, I'm in.
- 49:18Yeah. I mean like I.
- 49:20I'll get back to you all day after I'll let you know what's
- 49:25if I have a kidney? That's such a jig story.
- 49:29That's pretty fucking amazing. But now like, he's like, he's a
- 49:33front bumper. Good.
- 49:34I need that front bumper. Hello, Jake.
- 49:37He's. A Jake, but like.
- 49:40No, I get it. And so that was the whole thing
- 49:44though, right? Like I I went out and I did that
- 49:46and I had this, you know, amazing weird transitional
- 49:50period that as soon as I came home and I realized like, oh,
- 49:55that's gone until it happens again.
- 49:57I just felt miserable. And I was like, why can't I make
- 49:59it happen for myself? You know, why can't I do that?
- 50:02And, and there was definitely so many times where, you know, Jake
- 50:05could even hit me up or even you had told me or Timmy is like,
- 50:08you could go and just do that. Yeah, go and play like you're,
- 50:11you're more than talented enough to play a cover set too.
- 50:15If you need to make money, like, why not do that?
- 50:17And I don't know, that's always been like the internal battle is
- 50:21like battling whether or not I want to be a genuine artist in
- 50:27my mind, which is like writing my own music.
- 50:29Or do I want to just hop on the trend for a day of like, And
- 50:33that's not to say that like Brad's on a trend 'cause he does
- 50:35his own thing with it. And, and I've learned that too.
- 50:37It's like, Oh no, it's just this is what I need to do to sustain
- 50:40for the thing that I want to do. And that that's, that was a hard
- 50:43build, but so my brain completely shut off.
- 50:46I never went back to work. I didn't get like fired, but I
- 50:48didn't quit. It was a whole fucking thing.
- 50:50And then I was out of a job for like 8 months.
- 50:53And then I was looking and I was applying every day for eight
- 50:56months. And it got to the point where I
- 50:58would talk to my stepdad or my grandfather or my dad or
- 51:02whoever, my mom, you know, there's everyone being like, I
- 51:07don't know what I'm doing wrong. You know, I have all these
- 51:09qualifications. And I think it's just the longer
- 51:11I was without a job, the less people wanted me.
- 51:15And luckily. I recently got in with a really
- 51:18good group of people that like they're so chill and it's such a
- 51:21laid back job. And, and I remember asking my
- 51:24boss, I was like, hey, do you mind if I like bring my guitar
- 51:27and like, can I jam when I'm waiting for customers to come
- 51:30in? And he's like, yeah, dude, do
- 51:31what you want. I was like, oh, OK.
- 51:33He's like, as long as you do your job out here, you know,
- 51:35like just do what you need to do.
- 51:37So it took a long time. It took so many months 1 to get
- 51:41over a breakup, get over losing stability within my life and and
- 51:46figuring all that, you know, shit out.
- 51:48So now I'm like on the come up hopefully, but I still have days
- 51:54where I struggle and I'm like, man, I just don't even know if
- 51:57it's worth it. But like I'll keep pushing
- 51:59through, you know, you've been lower.
- 52:01Than you are right now and lower's not better than where
- 52:03you are. So there's no other thing you
- 52:04could do but go up. But you have to want to go up.
- 52:07If you want to stay in misery, you're going to stay in misery.
- 52:09And, and that goes. Back to like you got to pull
- 52:11yourself up by. Your bootstraps you stupid Lib.
- 52:16Holy shit, that goes back to what I was saying, you know, of
- 52:20going out to shows, seeing, you know, Precious and you and
- 52:24whoever bands are playing. Stuff like that.
- 52:27Goes back to that whole thing, 'cause when I'm in that social
- 52:29mindset, like I don't feel as anxious and I want to play more
- 52:33and I'll want to do more. So like, I've been trying
- 52:36really, really fucking hard to. Make something.
- 52:41Of myself, whether it be doing this and I, I help out Goblin
- 52:44City now too with their like social media stuff 'cause that's
- 52:48what they've needed for a long time.
- 52:49Like me and Timmy will be like Bob.
- 52:53We love the band, but you need to post more.
- 52:55You need to be more socially active and they're just not that
- 52:58group of people. So I literally went to Bob and I
- 53:00was like, I will manage it for you if you just let me.
- 53:03It's your fault. That I've been tagging the band.
- 53:06Actually it's Bob's page. I don't know if the band
- 53:08actually has a page, but I've been tagging Bob because I made
- 53:11like 3 months worth of content where I was doing these videos
- 53:14and every video I'm wearing a Goblin City T-shirt.
- 53:16Oh, really? Yeah.
- 53:17Oh shit no, I just started. I just started.
- 53:20Last month, I just started last month.
- 53:22Yeah, it was. It was all.
- 53:23Last month, it was all last month, I was tagging, yeah, all
- 53:27over Instagram. I was tagging Bob.
- 53:28I didn't. I didn't.
- 53:29Get anything? No, there's a Goblin City page,
- 53:31though if you're tagging Bob then I don't know, but there's.
- 53:33Yeah, I was tagging Bob because I.
- 53:34Didn't know it was a goblin city so I'll I'll go back and re tag
- 53:37him and then yeah I'll I'll I'll.
- 53:39Re and then I'll re post. I think Bob liked them.
- 53:41He was like, cool. Like I was like, thanks Bob,
- 53:44dude. Yeah, and he doesn't like.
- 53:46So right now I just do that. I just manage that social media
- 53:50and make content for them and stuff like that.
- 53:52And and that's been helping my brain work and figure out
- 53:55what'll work for me, you know what I mean?
- 53:57So it's nice to see that actual like individual growth.
- 54:01And it sucks because you can't flood that market of social
- 54:06media. The the more you post, the less
- 54:08likely people will fucking see it.
- 54:10But the less you post, the less likely people will see it.
- 54:12So you have to be right in that zone from 3:00 to 6:00 PM of
- 54:15posting 3 posts and then throughout the day just on your
- 54:19story sharing that shit. And it's a it's such a different
- 54:22science too. And it depends on the content.
- 54:25So you with the wrestling thing could be a completely different
- 54:27fucking spectrum, but I've learned the way I post.
- 54:30Isn't working obviously 'cause I post every day, like 3 * a day,
- 54:33but it is what it is. It's it's just a.
- 54:36Timing thing it's it's the timing and my timing is.
- 54:39What I have available when I'm trying to do a 40 hour week job
- 54:42and I can't have my phone on. Well, I just learned yesterday.
- 54:44That you can schedule Instagram posts.
- 54:46I didn't even. 15 different social media things at once.
- 54:50That's true. You're doing something different
- 54:52than me. That's a different thing.
- 54:54You're just focusing on one. Platform I'm trying I'm casting
- 54:57my net to like everywhere that's fair I've.
- 54:59Been doing. It every day for fucking years,
- 55:03I know. But have you tried to just cut
- 55:06that out? Like just cut out like a
- 55:07platform? I did and then I'm.
- 55:09Just like I, I, I, I, I'm like, well, what if, why I, I get the
- 55:13Gary Vee, Why wouldn't you fucking take Instagram?
- 55:15It takes 2 fucking more seconds. You know what I mean?
- 55:17I'm like, all right, Gary Vee, I'll fucking post, you know what
- 55:19I mean? Like.
- 55:22Shit I want. To go to yard sales you want.
- 55:23To go to yard sales, I'm going to fucking Gary, Vee told me.
- 55:27That's so funny. Yeah.
- 55:29I love him. He's a great content creator and
- 55:30he, he does make sense. He but it's, it's, it's the
- 55:34whole thing. But yeah, so you, you went
- 55:38through, like you said, you me and you kind of went through the
- 55:40same shit around the same time and like kind of went through
- 55:42it. And even though we were both
- 55:44struggling, I felt like we, we were pretty good about keeping
- 55:47tabs on each other, which I do appreciate.
- 55:48I love, I love you to death. You are like another little
- 55:51brother. You and Precious are like my
- 55:52little brothers who are not my little brother.
- 55:54You're the reason that I met. Him like the way that I did,
- 55:58like in depth the way that I did, cause I've always known him
- 56:00for a while. I always.
- 56:01Like, you know how often that has been a thing for me for the
- 56:05past nine years with music, with wrestling, with just people in
- 56:08general of just 'cause I meet so many people and I'm like you and
- 56:11you would be cool together. You know what I mean?
- 56:14Like. It's so funny though, because.
- 56:16We have like a different background, but same origin
- 56:19story, I guess, is the way to put it.
- 56:22And I was just like, we were talking about that last night.
- 56:25I gave him a hug. First of all, Precious won the
- 56:27ladder match just to spoil that for anyone.
- 56:29And he fucking deserves it because he's been working a long
- 56:32time and very hard at at, you know, wrestling and doing his
- 56:36thing. But yeah, but now he's just
- 56:39going to hand it. Over to Jess Hawthorne.
- 56:40So he did it. He did it for somebody else.
- 56:44True, true. That's rare.
- 56:47But. Yeah, dude, he, we literally
- 56:51came to your house to watch a wrestling event.
- 56:55And then after that ended, me and him were just talking in
- 56:59your kitchen until 4:00 in the morning, and then he drove me
- 57:03home for me. Yeah, that's right.
- 57:07Yeah, holy fuck. We weren't even on a podcast.
- 57:09Episode together. We just came over because there
- 57:11was like a wrestling thing and there was like me and him and
- 57:13you and and like a couple of other people that I don't really
- 57:16remember but I Remember Me and Austin.
- 57:18Oh no, broke Kay fame. We talked for like so long in in
- 57:24your kitchen for no reason. Neither of us were just tired.
- 57:26We just were like, man, like I've seen you all around, but
- 57:29like we don't know each other. And then we like, you know, we
- 57:32were like, oh, trauma dump and venting and we've just always
- 57:36gotten along since then and we've kept tabs on each other.
- 57:39But like very like briefly, because we're both, we're both
- 57:42passionate about the thing that we're doing.
- 57:44And so last night I went out to show and I was like, hey, like,
- 57:48you know, I'm happy to see where you're at, you know, 'cause I
- 57:52was so shocked. When you walked in, I was doing
- 57:53the mean greet and I was like the fuck are you doing here?
- 57:57Like I said. As long as someone messages me
- 57:59and reminds me like he literally messaged me last night at 10:30,
- 58:03he's like, dude, are you coming tomorrow?
- 58:05What's your plan? Like, do you want to come with
- 58:07me and BP? And I was like, I think I'm just
- 58:10going to ride down on my own. And I was like, I hope he
- 58:12doesn't get the idea that I'm not actually going to if you
- 58:15would have went with. BP it would have been, you would
- 58:18have, you probably would have end up working and not watching
- 58:20the show because that's always what happens.
- 58:22Nate, Nate came to the shows of like, oh, I want to watch
- 58:25wrestling. And then they're like, can you
- 58:26help us with one thing? And now Nate is doing 45 jobs at
- 58:31PPW. He walked up to me at the end
- 58:35of. The night and he was like, I'm
- 58:36fucking exhausted. I go, they got ya.
- 58:38They fucking got ya. Like Nate, we need 50 for these
- 58:43get that poster, get it to that person, get it to sign it.
- 58:45Go help Tony backstage. Go grab the gear.
- 58:47Like yo, I would have. If I was Nate, I would have.
- 58:49Been like, that's going to be $75.
- 58:52You're gonna. You're gonna.
- 58:55Handshake that ain't no because if you're willing to help,
- 58:58they'll they need everything they can like you know what I
- 59:00mean? But he knows that we know that
- 59:03he's a good person, but it does suck because you want to help
- 59:05the industry, but then you kind of get to that thing.
- 59:07Like, I just want to watch the fucking show, you know what I
- 59:10mean? Like, yeah, thank you so much,
- 59:13Brandon, for the one month membership.
- 59:14Late on the video, but what does Billy exactly do?
- 59:17Just wondering. I don't want to sound rude or
- 59:18anything. I'm just wondering to look him
- 59:19up. So actually the intro and outro
- 59:21music to every single piece of content.
- 59:24I do hang out with a BJABJ podcast.
- 59:27Not cool in high school. Truth behind the only one that's
- 59:30not Billy is still a Billy family member but all of my
- 59:34intro outro music is is the converse kid is Billy here.
- 59:38I've known him for such a long time.
- 59:40His entire family is amazing musicians and yeah, just to kind
- 59:43of recap to get people on the same page.
- 59:45If you're listening to this later on the audio source or are
- 59:47back anywhere else. We are on Apple podcast Google
- 59:50podcast anywhere you find your podcast app Spotify Spotify is
- 59:53actually video and audio. But a five star review goes a
- 59:56long way. Thank you guys so much, but also
- 59:58go check out the links below to follow my guest, Billy Billy and
- 1:00:01the converse kid and and go support his music.
- 1:00:03He's also on Spotify and band camp.
- 1:00:05And I don't want to say I said it like that band camp, but all
- 1:00:09of you publishing. No, I don't get.
- 1:00:10Anything, I'm just a homie. I don't get it.
- 1:00:16Listen. If, if Billy, if I get listen,
- 1:00:19Billy knows. I hope he does that.
- 1:00:22If my shit pops off, his shit pops off.
- 1:00:25Like, we've kind of made this thing, like I've done it with a
- 1:00:29bunch of people. Like, I think I've earned that
- 1:00:30respect to people that they know that my goal to make for myself
- 1:00:34is to bring everybody with me. So if I make it, Billy's good.
- 1:00:37You know what I mean? I will cut the check.
- 1:00:39I wish I could have cut Billy from making all the intro music
- 1:00:42back in the day. Yeah, dude.
- 1:00:44And, and like I said before, my whole thing is to lift people up
- 1:00:47and we have the same goal, you know, so like that's, that's
- 1:00:50always been my thing is like, I just want to help out other
- 1:00:53people. And that sucks sometimes in the
- 1:00:55music industry because everyone's going to step on your
- 1:00:57head. But at least I know in my mind
- 1:01:00that every person that I've played with, because I'm a
- 1:01:02genuine human being and I give them my all.
- 1:01:05And I, you know, give them more than the time that is necessary
- 1:01:09to befriend them or whatever. And I make genuine connections.
- 1:01:15I know that like, I've literally had people from like bands that
- 1:01:18I've never seen play before that were friends with artists that I
- 1:01:21have played with before come up to me and be like, oh, you're
- 1:01:24the converse kid. I'm so excited to see you.
- 1:01:25This person talked about you. And I'm like, you're from like
- 1:01:28Oregon. You're from like, you know,
- 1:01:30Massachusetts. You're you're from all of it
- 1:01:32blows your mind, right? You're like, why?
- 1:01:35And and then then it. Makes me so happy.
- 1:01:37And I'm like, oh, that like warms my heart.
- 1:01:39Like tell them. And then I message them.
- 1:01:41I'm like, dude, I didn't know you knew this person.
- 1:01:43Like that makes me so happy. And then like I give the heads
- 1:01:46up to other people when I see them.
- 1:01:47Like I can't believe these two people are playing together.
- 1:01:49That's so quick. And then they're stoked to play
- 1:01:51together because they know who I am and they know I'm not gonna
- 1:01:54fucking be like, you know what I mean?
- 1:01:55Like, I wouldn't hang out with someone that was a piece of
- 1:01:58shit, you know? I had a moment.
- 1:02:00The other. Day my cousin Megan, I only see
- 1:02:02at one point in time I was only seeing her like twice a year,
- 1:02:06but I see her like 3 times in a month.
- 1:02:07But it was, which was awesome because I missed her, but she
- 1:02:10came up to me and she's like, yeah, I was, I was, I was
- 1:02:12hanging out with a friend that I met him and he's from like
- 1:02:15reading or Harrisburg or something.
- 1:02:16And he, I was talking about podcasts and stuff.
- 1:02:19And I said that my cousin's a podcaster and he's also in pro
- 1:02:22wrestling. And then she's like, he's like,
- 1:02:23who is he? And she's like, his name is
- 1:02:25Anthony. And he goes, he's ABJ.
- 1:02:26You're really the ABJ. I've never met or talked to this
- 1:02:29guy in my entire life. But she was like my cousin, like
- 1:02:33she's like, he was fucking starstruck over you guy.
- 1:02:36Like freak. I'm like, I'm like, who is it?
- 1:02:38And she told me, I was like, he's never reached out.
- 1:02:40He's never said a word. I he's not even commented on a
- 1:02:43video. But she was like, he was telling
- 1:02:45me every episode your interviews, what you do, he knew
- 1:02:48your whole Wikipedia page. So you don't know who you're
- 1:02:52touching as an artist. You don't know who's listening
- 1:02:55because not everyone's in the comments section.
- 1:02:56Not everyone's vocal about what they listen to or what they
- 1:02:59like, like they keep their they keep their media as private as
- 1:03:02they do their religion and their politics sometimes.
- 1:03:04And it's, and I'm not trying to be funny, but that's the truth.
- 1:03:06You know, not everyone in the chat or in the, the, the, the
- 1:03:10views are your, you look at your audio plays on Spotify.
- 1:03:13You couldn't tell who all thousands of those people are.
- 1:03:16You know what I mean? Like mine's a little tougher
- 1:03:17because I've I don't think I've ever broken 1000 on anything in
- 1:03:20my life. But it's just like you never and
- 1:03:24and just even that I'm like my most played audio thing.
- 1:03:27I was telling my discord the other day.
- 1:03:28They think I'm up like 1510 thousands of views per episode.
- 1:03:31I'm like, no, my highest I ever got ever is 190 plays, 130
- 1:03:35plays. I'm dude, I'm not getting good
- 1:03:38numbers anywhere. Like I'm Flo, I'm hanging on by
- 1:03:40a fucking thread, you know what I mean?
- 1:03:43But I'm I have that mentality just don't quit.
- 1:03:45But I think it's different. For music, shit like 'cause in
- 1:03:49music you could get, and this keeps happening to me for some
- 1:03:53reason. There's a, oh, the radio jingles
- 1:03:57thing. Dude, I tried, I tried to make
- 1:03:59music for a wrestler once and it didn't go as planned.
- 1:04:02I hope that dude's not mad at me, 'cause I never meant to make
- 1:04:04him mad. And I told I don't think you
- 1:04:06should give up on. That though I think you should
- 1:04:07make songs. Yeah, I think you should.
- 1:04:09I just. Think it's an aggressive area
- 1:04:12sometimes, you know, but let me mediate for you think I need.
- 1:04:16To get I need to. Get ripped first let me get let
- 1:04:18me get built up. You need like you need to do.
- 1:04:20Some push ups so you can make music for wrestlers.
- 1:04:21Yeah, yeah, yeah. I need to be able to look the
- 1:04:24part before I I'm dude, I'm doing backstage interviews.
- 1:04:26And they're trying to fight me. Last night I almost got beat up
- 1:04:28backstage like three times. The one guy got my face.
- 1:04:31He was like, I told you, stop fucking talking.
- 1:04:33And I was like, I'm, I'm sorry. Yeah, yeah, I I watched
- 1:04:36Rembrandt, that's who. Almost.
- 1:04:37Beat me up. I almost got beat up by
- 1:04:38Rembrandt. He almost attacked me backstage.
- 1:04:40He took the microphone. Right into B PS chest.
- 1:04:43He was like trying to talk and it wasn't working.
- 1:04:44He's fucking mean. He's a mean guy.
- 1:04:45God damn, just seeing. What he was doing backstage,
- 1:04:47he's. He's going to be he's like, why
- 1:04:50don't I start with you? And I said, I'm just an
- 1:04:51interviewer, bro. You want to beat people up doing
- 1:04:53the ring. What do you do with me?
- 1:04:55What's that going to do for you? He's like, oh God.
- 1:04:57And then his guy had to pull him away.
- 1:04:59Careful backstage. It's Jams going to kill me
- 1:05:02because she wants Sammy but thinks that I'm the one booking
- 1:05:04them. I'm like, I'm not a Booker.
- 1:05:05Do you know how this works? I'm just the interviewer, dude.
- 1:05:09That's. So funny, but yeah, no, I would
- 1:05:11definitely. You know what?
- 1:05:12Don't make music for them. Fuck the wrestlers.
- 1:05:17Shit what was I saying right before that?
- 1:05:19I I got lost off track. You need to do push ups to.
- 1:05:21Make music for wrestlers. No, no, before that.
- 1:05:23Before that, I'm gone, it's gone.
- 1:05:26But anyway, yeah, I make music. Yeah, Oh, jingles.
- 1:05:31You're making jingles? Yeah, I've.
- 1:05:32I've done a couple of things here and there and, and I, I
- 1:05:38did, I worked like I produced with my grandfather his podcast.
- 1:05:43I did a lot of like production work on that.
- 1:05:45I did all the production work on that.
- 1:05:48But yeah, but don't say shit about Sammy Hunt.
- 1:05:50I don't even know. Sammy is amazing.
- 1:05:52She's a gem. I ain't nothing negative at all
- 1:05:55about Sammy. I didn't steal.
- 1:05:57Your hairstyle, I'm sorry, it was just a coincidence.
- 1:05:59There, there it is. Yeah, so I I actually do that.
- 1:06:03But I also released an album on my birthday this year, like a
- 1:06:05full length, so it was like 45 minutes of original material,
- 1:06:09which is like the longest I've ever been able to thing I've
- 1:06:13ever been able to release. This was like it is a whole
- 1:06:16birthday present to myself and I hope people listen to it, but I
- 1:06:20haven't. Since I've put it out, I
- 1:06:22haven't. That's what we were talking
- 1:06:23about, The place thing, that's where it was.
- 1:06:25Thank you. We circled back somehow.
- 1:06:28It's easy as a musician to get lumped into random playlists
- 1:06:35because there's a lot of AI built playlists out there, which
- 1:06:38is like AI sucks, but sometimes it's beneficial when it's used
- 1:06:41as a fucking tool. Yeah, well, that whole.
- 1:06:42Tool, you said, well, who listens to this and who listens
- 1:06:45to this? And what do people listen in the
- 1:06:46middle? That's AI, yeah.
- 1:06:49You know what I mean? Demographic it's.
- 1:06:50Built. It's not built by a person going
- 1:06:52through and being like, oh, this person's with this, you know
- 1:06:55what I mean? Like it's yeah.
- 1:06:57The band that goes well with Madden is Dashboard Confession.
- 1:07:03That's so funny, thank you. That's actually the third time
- 1:07:08I've heard someone equate me to Dashboard Confessional.
- 1:07:11I have yet to actually try to cover one of their songs, but
- 1:07:16thank you for the $5. Super chat, appreciate it.
- 1:07:18I'm going to drop in the in the link for people now if you're
- 1:07:20watching on YouTube, Twitch or Facebook and you want to click
- 1:07:24now, the link I'm dropping right now into the chat is the link.
- 1:07:27If you would like to go follow Billy on Spotify currently right
- 1:07:30now sitting at 861 monthly listeners and which is that's
- 1:07:35super, that's super dope. And the newest album out there
- 1:07:37is is hangover weekend X sugar coated.
- 1:07:40Oh, really? That's the top one right now.
- 1:07:43That's the latest. Release OH.
- 1:07:45That's weird. I wonder why?
- 1:07:46It's doing that I it's not the rate I didn't update, that's not
- 1:07:49the latest. One I mean it is.
- 1:07:51It's like a track off the album. It should be like the whole
- 1:07:54album, but for some reason it's 333 Majestic.
- 1:07:56Sessions. Is that the newest album?
- 1:08:00No, no. It's it's.
- 1:08:02Hold on to nothing. Is the is the title of the album
- 1:08:05which Hangover Weekend is on that album?
- 1:08:09So I think it's weird that it's just showing up as the single
- 1:08:12and not the whole fucking I don't even see.
- 1:08:14Hold on to nothing on the on the album list.
- 1:08:17On the album it's all singles. Yeah.
- 1:08:19Single single E Wait EP The last EP I'm seeing here.
- 1:08:24Is I'm just trying to help. You out is growth on Spotify Oh
- 1:08:29yeah, because it's an. Album.
- 1:08:30Why is it? Oh wait, hold on, let.
- 1:08:32Me let me albums, it says nothing to hold on to.
- 1:08:35And the teen angst and teen angst.
- 1:08:38Yeah, yeah, there's only two albums.
- 1:08:39On Spotify, yeah. Wait, the new ones hold?
- 1:08:42On to nothing. Oh yeah, I'm you're holding like
- 1:08:44a whiteboard. Yeah, it's.
- 1:08:46Actually, it's a vinyl record and I just washed out.
- 1:08:51Photoshopped it out. Entirely so it's like I'm
- 1:08:54holding on to nothing. Oh, there's nothing here.
- 1:08:57I see what you're doing there. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:08:59I thought maybe it was like a really bright flash and it just
- 1:09:02like just no. That would have made it way.
- 1:09:04Easier. That would have made it easier.
- 1:09:08That would have been the smart thing to do.
- 1:09:09Yeah. No, that's the only.
- 1:09:11Artwork that I've ever done for myself in that in that manner.
- 1:09:15But yeah, don't hate this take. But I heard, I heard Billy gave
- 1:09:19me hotel book, Brooks vibes hotel book.
- 1:09:21I don't know. I don't know.
- 1:09:22Who it is? I never listened to them much.
- 1:09:25I know who that they're like a band and stuff.
- 1:09:26I know that obviously they're a band, but yeah, yeah, that's
- 1:09:30cool. Yeah.
- 1:09:30I aim for the, you know, alternative side of things.
- 1:09:35I definitely have some heavier songs.
- 1:09:37I actually took an EP down that had a lot of my heavy like metal
- 1:09:43riffs and stuff like that. I took it down because the
- 1:09:45artist for the album artwork is no longer in my life and I don't
- 1:09:49want to associate with them. So I may have put up those older
- 1:09:52songs at some point with a new name and and figure that all out
- 1:09:57for sure. Fuck em.
- 1:10:00Yeah, I don't even know who it is.
- 1:10:02I'm I'm just talking shit. So what?
- 1:10:04What has inspired or motivated you to keep pushing forward?
- 1:10:10Definitely like my. Brother, you know, family is
- 1:10:14most important to me, but he's young and so I'm like, I, I feel
- 1:10:18like, you know, not that my parents are old or anything and
- 1:10:21got hoping that nothing happens to them.
- 1:10:24But like if I ever had to take care of my brother for anyway, I
- 1:10:27would be like, I would want to be successful in some aspect
- 1:10:31that doesn't, you know, promote throwing away your dreams and
- 1:10:34slaving away to some stupid corporation that doesn't care
- 1:10:37about you. Like I would like to do that
- 1:10:42hopefully, but who knows it might not happen for sure.
- 1:10:47You actually had a family. Member who motivated me and it's
- 1:10:50crazy because I pull from so many people that I'm not even in
- 1:10:52the same industry as but just watching your friends like
- 1:10:55yourself and everybody else do cool things and chase and get
- 1:10:58those small milestones or small victories is awesome.
- 1:11:01But like Eddie going to Birmingham and and doing the
- 1:11:04Aussie show, like I was like, bro, like that is the path like
- 1:11:09just be cool. Do what you got to do.
- 1:11:11Fucking be a good hang like like one of the best guitars I've
- 1:11:15ever played in my life. And he's not even in like a band
- 1:11:17that anyone can listen to, but he's setting up guitars for the
- 1:11:20best bands that you're you love. You know what I mean?
- 1:11:22Like and he's probably making as much money, if not more than the
- 1:11:25band itself on stage. You know what I mean?
- 1:11:27Like he's doing he's doing well doing it.
- 1:11:29No, for real, it's. Crazy the fact that he got to.
- 1:11:31Send off a iconic human being like that show is a is is just
- 1:11:37like you had to be there for that moment.
- 1:11:40Like that's a Live Aid that if you're if you weren't there,
- 1:11:42that's that is the greatest moment in the past 30 years of
- 1:11:47music or 20 years of music that anyone can talk about.
- 1:11:50And your cousin got to not just be there, but like help set it
- 1:11:55up and be a part of the production to make it as good as
- 1:11:58it was. And that's so cool.
- 1:12:00He, he was. Like, yeah, it was awesome.
- 1:12:01It was definitely the most fucking stressful 40 minutes of
- 1:12:04my life, I think was the quote that he gave to me.
- 1:12:08It was like it was the most. Stressful 40 minutes of of of my
- 1:12:12life because he like just helped with like the Super group with
- 1:12:16Frank Bello and stuff like that. But I don't want to be in a.
- 1:12:20Youngblood video. That's you.
- 1:12:22That's you young boy was like right behind him and I'm like
- 1:12:24what the hell, this is weird. So funny.
- 1:12:28So funny to me. Yeah, I'm so proud of.
- 1:12:31Him but that's that's so like that's.
- 1:12:33That's who I look up to, right? And then he's like, when he's
- 1:12:36home or, you know, the few times that we've been able to have
- 1:12:39conversations about music stuff and he's like telling me to keep
- 1:12:43doing what I'm doing because I've done more than he has.
- 1:12:46You know what I mean? So no, not chemicals.
- 1:12:51It's the converse, kid. The Converse.
- 1:12:55Kid. All together, no spaces.
- 1:12:57Yeah, no spaces. It's the most complicated thing.
- 1:13:00But anyway, you know, I look up to him and he's doing all this
- 1:13:04crazy shit and then he's coming home and he's being like, dude,
- 1:13:06you've achieved more than me. I'm like, what the fuck are you
- 1:13:08talking about? And he's like, look at all the
- 1:13:09music you've put outlook at all the shows you've played and the
- 1:13:12venues and the places. Like you did all this stuff and
- 1:13:15you know, and I'm like, wow, I guess like it depends on what
- 1:13:19you view as like your goals and stuff like that.
- 1:13:21And that that really put into perspective.
- 1:13:23Now that conversation was a long time ago prior to that, but
- 1:13:26still the fact that like my family is like proud of me and
- 1:13:30they're all doing their own. You got, you got to play.
- 1:13:32Warm tour. Yeah, I got to.
- 1:13:34Play a warm tour event and like, it's been amazing.
- 1:13:38It's been really cool, so. We'll kind of lean into that.
- 1:13:41What are some moments or accomplishments for yourself
- 1:13:43that you are proud of since the last time we thought we just
- 1:13:45said we just said Warped Tour. Definitely.
- 1:13:47Warped Tour, definitely playing Chain Reaction in California,
- 1:13:53that was a venue I've always wanted to be at with handguns
- 1:13:56was super sick. I sold my first ever shirt like
- 1:14:00on the road in Colorado, which was neat.
- 1:14:03It's like, you know what I mean? Like my first shirt that wasn't
- 1:14:07like a family member or friend, you know, I went out and and the
- 1:14:10furthest from home I could possibly be that isn't just the
- 1:14:14coast. I sold a shirt.
- 1:14:17How? How?
- 1:14:17Crazy is it watching someone walk around with your logo or
- 1:14:21your name on your on their body? Insane.
- 1:14:23I still I'm not used to it. Like it gets me a little
- 1:14:26emotional when I say like, I go to a wrestling show and someone
- 1:14:29walks in with a with a shirt and I'm just like.
- 1:14:33Are you sure? Thank you I.
- 1:14:34Appreciate that so much that off your back.
- 1:14:40Yeah. Now I got to like work hard
- 1:14:42because I don't want their shirt.
- 1:14:43Like they play worked hard for their money and I'm going to
- 1:14:45quit in two weeks. And their shirt like, yeah, I
- 1:14:48bought this fucking guy's shirt and he quit already.
- 1:14:50Like, you know what I mean? Like, fuck that guy.
- 1:14:53Yeah, that. Like.
- 1:14:54That's a huge accomplishment for me for sure.
- 1:14:56Just being able to sell merch I guess.
- 1:14:59And also just having people come out and be like oh I came here
- 1:15:02to see you play and then but like I'm stoked that these
- 1:15:06people are playing too or whatever, you know, like just
- 1:15:08hearing stuff like that or like after shows sometimes people
- 1:15:13will come up to me and it's usually the same 3 songs or so.
- 1:15:18They'll be like, I really, you're good.
- 1:15:24Just because he I didn't know there was another Converse kid.
- 1:15:28So now every time I go to your show, I'm going to ask you to
- 1:15:30play Chemicals God. Damn, no, I've been.
- 1:15:35Listening to your stuff, man. I love fucking chemicals.
- 1:15:38You're like fuck the converse, kid.
- 1:15:41Merch is super rad. Is it designed it?
- 1:15:44Yeah. You want to see it?
- 1:15:45Would you like to see a shirt? Yeah, please.
- 1:15:47Y'all wanna? Buy a shirt. 25 bucks I'll buy
- 1:15:50I'll. Buy a shirt. 25 bucks.
- 1:15:51Fucking do you have two X for the fat boys?
- 1:15:59Oh shit, I like. It.
- 1:16:02I do need to get. Different colors though 'cause I
- 1:16:05only have the black shirt right now and junk punk was like, I
- 1:16:08don't wear black 'cause I get dog hair and cat hair and stuff
- 1:16:11like that. And I was like, you're so right,
- 1:16:12dude. I never thought about that.
- 1:16:14So anything that's not black or white I need to get like like a
- 1:16:18neon green would be rad. You know, mind you, would not
- 1:16:20just. Reverse.
- 1:16:21The colors make up a black and pink and then a pink and black.
- 1:16:26OK, I see. So you're saying?
- 1:16:28Like salmon black on salmon? No the same color.
- 1:16:32Pink that's that's on the logo. Make that the shirt color and
- 1:16:36then make the logo black. I would have to find a.
- 1:16:38Shirt that specifically that. That's a little bit harder.
- 1:16:43That's a little bit harder. Yeah, a cutie logo.
- 1:16:46Too for the girls. Yeah, that is a cutie.
- 1:16:50Logo. It's easy to embroidery and shit
- 1:16:52too. Juicy booty.
- 1:16:53Shorts, but it just has the converse kid on the back of
- 1:16:56them, no? I'm kidding.
- 1:16:57I'm kidding. I.
- 1:16:58Don't want that. I kind of.
- 1:17:00Wish saw that at a show I. Would quit.
- 1:17:03I kind of wish more. People wore masks, you know.
- 1:17:04How sick would it be to have I heart ABJ like masks on their
- 1:17:08face? Is it open?
- 1:17:10Is it? Like a zipper on it.
- 1:17:12Totally shit. But yeah.
- 1:17:14One of the. One of the biggest
- 1:17:16accomplishments, I guess for me is that like after playing a
- 1:17:19show, some people come up to me, they won't buy much or they
- 1:17:23will. I have stickers too.
- 1:17:26So sometimes they'll buy a sticker and they'll be like,
- 1:17:30Hey, I just want to say like I really connected with that song
- 1:17:32333 that that song is like insane.
- 1:17:35Like I, I love it. I don't know what it is, but
- 1:17:38that it made me feel something and that means a lot to me.
- 1:17:41So like songs like that or like Daydream Valentine or to her to
- 1:17:45hear where people are like, oh, it's just, it's catchy and it
- 1:17:48gets stuck in my head, but it's not like annoying or anything.
- 1:17:51And I, I love when the one I'm like, I could hear you singing
- 1:17:54it or like anyone that's like new like starts singing it and
- 1:17:57stuff like that. That stuff's really fun to me,
- 1:18:00so. I I was singing along with you
- 1:18:02at the bar. Then you stop playing it.
- 1:18:04I stopped singing it and then it was just me screaming in the
- 1:18:06bar. That's really funny.
- 1:18:09Yeah, holy shit, yeah, I love the.
- 1:18:12Engine Valentine. I love that song so much.
- 1:18:15I I. Like it too.
- 1:18:16I think it's really that's your free bird for me.
- 1:18:17If I don't hear that song, I'm fucking I'm going home.
- 1:18:20I like a kid again too, to be a kid again.
- 1:18:23I haven't played that in a long time live because it's just,
- 1:18:27it's, it's very, it's a lot. It's exhausting for me because
- 1:18:30it's so like real and I was so young when I wrote it and I was
- 1:18:34like, I think that's why I ended.
- 1:18:36Up being a kid again. I think that's why I.
- 1:18:37Like that song is because like I, I just, I'm not going to say
- 1:18:42I was with you every moment of your existence, but like I was,
- 1:18:46I was with you and your friend your first fucking show.
- 1:18:49You know what I mean? Like the first time you played a
- 1:18:50coffee shop and then going and playing Goodfellas and then to
- 1:18:53where we are now. And just like watching you go
- 1:18:55through everything. That's crazy.
- 1:18:57Yeah. And watching you go through life
- 1:18:59and then like hearing your seeing what you went through in
- 1:19:02your life and then seeing how you translate it into your music
- 1:19:05and then watching you just grow as a musician and, and, and
- 1:19:07getting your confidence because the, that's the biggest thing.
- 1:19:10Like I like people would like, I, I just talking to Tim about
- 1:19:13it. The last time we performed where
- 1:19:14you guys performed together at at pill guru.
- 1:19:16Not the one, the last one I was at when it was like ran by
- 1:19:19somebody else, but I just remember being like, man, he's a
- 1:19:22completely different person. He was a year ago, even a year
- 1:19:24after that, like I like from where you come to where you are
- 1:19:28now, like you're just you're, you're, you're, you're figuring
- 1:19:30it out. You can see it.
- 1:19:31Everything started to click for you of how you got to do it.
- 1:19:34You may not have the motivation you want, but like when you're
- 1:19:36up there, you, you do appear as like you're confident and you
- 1:19:40have a stage presence and you know what to say and you had to
- 1:19:42be a little entertaining and like you're, you're good at what
- 1:19:44you do. Thank you.
- 1:19:45I. Appreciate that that means a lot
- 1:19:47to me too, especially you saying how you know the life translates
- 1:19:51through the songs and stuff like that.
- 1:19:54Because I think that's a big thing for me is like, I'm like
- 1:19:56who's actually listening to my music and knows what I'm going
- 1:19:59with because people be like, you know what's going on and I'm
- 1:20:02like, have you listened to the songs?
- 1:20:04I mean there's a lot, there's a lot going on there.
- 1:20:07I mean my. Thing is I was I don't have
- 1:20:09music. I have podcasts that no one
- 1:20:10listens to. And then I make a a Facebook
- 1:20:12post and then everyone's like yeah bro your fucking your
- 1:20:15Facebook posts are bumming me the fuck out.
- 1:20:17I just don't want to see it no more.
- 1:20:18And I'm like, that's the only way I can express myself.
- 1:20:21Mother fucker. Like, like, like goes like a
- 1:20:24like fucking. Oh, I hate that.
- 1:20:25Like if you're judging me based on it and you're not asking if
- 1:20:28I'm good or I'm not asking you to ask, but just, like, if your
- 1:20:31first reaction is I'm annoyed by this, then you're probably not
- 1:20:34my person. Yeah.
- 1:20:36No, 100% I totally get that. I think for me, like it is a
- 1:20:41different format, right? Because you can only do so much
- 1:20:44as a, as a commentator or presenter or interviewer to like
- 1:20:49put yourself out there, right? So it's like.
- 1:20:53Do you have to be able? To express that too, without
- 1:20:55pushing your point of view on the person that you're talking
- 1:20:58to. You know what I mean?
- 1:20:59Like without being like, oh, you should do this or you should
- 1:21:02think this or blah, blah, blah, whatever.
- 1:21:03You know, put, put out there how you feel.
- 1:21:07It's hard, but it's like, like you said for me, like it took so
- 1:21:12much time to get that confidence and to get the like, I don't
- 1:21:17know, understanding of the way that I want things to come out
- 1:21:21and, and also seeing within people what, what is reflective
- 1:21:25in a good way, you know, what is positive.
- 1:21:28Yeah. I think you're from an outside
- 1:21:30perspective, I think your, your, your three key points are are
- 1:21:33for you. For you is, I think your first
- 1:21:36tour with handguns when you were out there with cheese foot.
- 1:21:39We'll just leave it at that. You know what you did on that
- 1:21:41tour? You know the debauchery?
- 1:21:43No, but you came home from that a different person.
- 1:21:47You came home from that tour a different musician at a
- 1:21:51different. Mind state, yeah, it changed a
- 1:21:53lot for you. Yeah, that was.
- 1:21:55That you were no longer in your parents house.
- 1:21:59You were no longer at. You weren't the the cousin of
- 1:22:02insert Collins here. You went out on tour with a
- 1:22:05different band and found yourself, you know what I mean?
- 1:22:08And that was a huge like that changed for me.
- 1:22:10And then your breakup, your breakup changed you and then
- 1:22:14your post breakup and finding your new your new partner.
- 1:22:16I almost said friend, that was horrible, your new partner, But
- 1:22:19like those three key elements for you have really took you on
- 1:22:23that roller coaster. You know what I mean?
- 1:22:24And I and watching you grow and and growing into this.
- 1:22:26It's just been, it's been wonderful, man.
- 1:22:29It's it's. Exhausting.
- 1:22:30And it's like it's only been seven years, six years since
- 1:22:36like the actual beginning of it all.
- 1:22:38Seven years. We start her on the same time.
- 1:22:40But yeah, it's. It's we literally start her on
- 1:22:43the same. Time.
- 1:22:43Yeah, that's crazy. What are what are some?
- 1:22:47I know you said this new show coming up as a huge goal for
- 1:22:49you, but what are some? And then we talked about dream
- 1:22:50collaborations, but what are some new goals or things you
- 1:22:53have set for yourself that you'd like to do in the near future?
- 1:22:57Definitely. Focus on getting a full band.
- 1:22:59I I really want other people to to write off of and, and
- 1:23:05collaborate with and, and play with, especially in a live
- 1:23:08setting. I think there's a lot of my
- 1:23:10songs that. If I.
- 1:23:13Were to have a full band, I think it would just bump a lot
- 1:23:16better, you know what I mean? I think everything's great but
- 1:23:22your intro music fucking sucks. Whoever wrote that should
- 1:23:25swallow a mic. Holy shit man man.
- 1:23:28And your taste in? Your, your taste in podcast is
- 1:23:31interesting, as I might say myself.
- 1:23:36No, but yeah, I think just focusing on getting an actual
- 1:23:40band set up, definitely dialing in my calendar and taking it a
- 1:23:45little bit more professionally and setting those boundaries for
- 1:23:49myself to be like, all right, I'm playing this, this and this
- 1:23:52date. I want to not play these
- 1:23:54specific dates and just kind of slowly close in and and make
- 1:24:00fine points as far as that goes. So, so you've.
- 1:24:03Been struggling from we know you've been struggling to even
- 1:24:05try to collaborate or get to do things with other people,
- 1:24:08especially in a local scene. You, I think you're finding
- 1:24:11yourself and creating your brand as this Converse kid.
- 1:24:15Like you want to make a. Band you want to, you want to
- 1:24:17try to go through. I think that's a nightmare
- 1:24:19scenario for you. Like you have to collaborate
- 1:24:22with your times, with everybody else.
- 1:24:24I think you're doing so well with your own solo band, your
- 1:24:27own solo thing, everything online.
- 1:24:29Though when people go to listen to my music, you know what I
- 1:24:31mean? Like, they're like, oh, this is
- 1:24:33so different than the live shows.
- 1:24:36And you can say so yourself. You can say so, yeah.
- 1:24:38You know, I mean, you're performing.
- 1:24:40You're you're writing everything.
- 1:24:41Yeah, yeah. And so you.
- 1:24:42You come out and you're like, wow, I just like this better.
- 1:24:45And I, I usually could just, you know, write and record the
- 1:24:48acoustic versions of all those songs, but it's so much harder.
- 1:24:50It's different to translate that feeling to a recording for me, I
- 1:24:55guess. So I think my, I think that's my
- 1:24:58next goal is just to record a live album and then see where,
- 1:25:01see where that goes for sure. That that is, that's it too.
- 1:25:05But no, I, I. Honestly, I I think you're the
- 1:25:08Aussie route. Like you are the Converse kid
- 1:25:11and if people join your band, they're joining in the playing
- 1:25:13the music that you created as the converse kid.
- 1:25:16Like, and I know that's going to be impossible to find right now
- 1:25:19is a ban, but that's I think that should like fuck what I
- 1:25:22think I'm just saying, but that's my opinion.
- 1:25:24Like that. That's the route you already
- 1:25:26have established yourself as this converse kid to a certain
- 1:25:29degree that I think trying to go and and rebranding with a new
- 1:25:32band and trying to like I I think what I think your drive
- 1:25:36and passion is it it sucks. Because I did like for the
- 1:25:39longest time when I was like, I really like this name.
- 1:25:41But now, like lately I've just been like, I, I like, I need a
- 1:25:44change. Like I feel like it's not doing
- 1:25:46anything. But I can see it, you know, I
- 1:25:48could see clearly like people like know who I am or whatever.
- 1:25:52Would you ever just go by Billy? Billy, Trey.
- 1:25:56Probably, I don't think it's AI think it's a good.
- 1:25:57Name I think I think Billy Trey is a good name.
- 1:25:59I just don't think it. Reflects, I guess, the way that
- 1:26:02I write as an artist, but I guess it doesn't fucking matter.
- 1:26:04Like everyone's just using their name at this point, you know?
- 1:26:07Yeah. A name is just.
- 1:26:09A name, but my grandfather brought that up.
- 1:26:11He's like, everyone knows the converse kid, but do they know
- 1:26:13that you're the converse kid? I'm like, I think so, because
- 1:26:16every time I'm, you know, out somewhere, they that's what they
- 1:26:18call me. If they don't, are you?
- 1:26:20Are you? Are you?
- 1:26:20Pee Wee Herman or you? You know what I mean?
- 1:26:22Like, are you Pee Wee Herman or you?
- 1:26:23Paul Rubens, they're like, I can be any, yeah.
- 1:26:27Absolutely. Yeah, well, I mean, Pee Wee
- 1:26:29Herman has a star in the Hall of Fame.
- 1:26:31Paul Ruben doesn't. It definitely I.
- 1:26:34Agree like changing your name yeah it it could definitely
- 1:26:37hinder you for sure and so now that I I think that I've built
- 1:26:40it up, I understand you know, this is what I have to stick
- 1:26:44with and it sucks you know, some of my favorite bands are like,
- 1:26:48oh, I I wish we never had this name but then like they're the
- 1:26:51biggest fucking bands you've ever like seen or whatever you
- 1:26:54know I'm sure Metallica stuff the only time you're.
- 1:26:56Gonna have to change your name is when you get that C&C.
- 1:27:00Yep, and. That would be CNVRSE.
- 1:27:04Yeah, and that's when. You change it, but honestly like
- 1:27:06what you have now keep. You know what I mean?
- 1:27:10Fuck, maybe even Converse kid likes what Converse likes what
- 1:27:12you're fucking doing. You know what I mean?
- 1:27:13You don't you don't know where that's going to take you No, I
- 1:27:15listen to that too. When?
- 1:27:17We did. We were on tour with Handguns.
- 1:27:21We did the podcast with Mike Carrera from MXPX, which is like
- 1:27:25a well established punk band that like brought.
- 1:27:30A lot of influence. To so many bands out there these
- 1:27:32days. And I told him like what I went
- 1:27:36by and stuff like that. He's like Converse.
- 1:27:38That's so sick. I remember playing basketball
- 1:27:40and I had these Chuck Taylors and stuff like that.
- 1:27:42And like, it was just really cool.
- 1:27:45Like, and I'm like, I know they'll remember that.
- 1:27:47And a couple years ago, Smoking Popes, one of my biggest
- 1:27:52influences, I think it was last year, maybe two years, they put
- 1:27:55out a new song called Madison. I covered that song and I went
- 1:28:00to see them in Philly. And then after the show, I
- 1:28:03waited at the merch table and I was talking to the lead singer
- 1:28:05who writes it, writes all their music and lyrics.
- 1:28:09I don't know if he does all the music, but he writes the lyrics
- 1:28:11and stuff like that. And he's like the front man.
- 1:28:14I went up to him and like, hey, Josh.
- 1:28:15I just want to say I really, this was my first time seeing
- 1:28:18you guys and I've been a fan for so long and I love the new
- 1:28:22music. It feels nostalgic, but it also
- 1:28:23feels like new. And it's like this interesting,
- 1:28:26like blend of everything that I've liked about your sound over
- 1:28:29the years. And he was like, oh, that's
- 1:28:31thank you so much. I was like, yeah, it's so good.
- 1:28:33I did a cover of it. I did a cover of the song and he
- 1:28:36was like, you're the converse kid.
- 1:28:38He was like, hold on, wait a minute.
- 1:28:40And he went back to his green room, got his phone.
- 1:28:42He's like, can I get a picture with you?
- 1:28:44And like took a picture with me and put it on his Instagram
- 1:28:47saying that he met me and it's still up there on his page and
- 1:28:51stuff like that. And that's like, so dude, it's
- 1:28:54like and then. Me and em.
- 1:28:57Went to see them when they played in Philly again this past
- 1:29:01year and he looked at me and he's like, I know you, you're
- 1:29:05the converse kid. And I was like, this is crazy.
- 1:29:07Like my favorite artist, like remembers me and shit, Lily says
- 1:29:11You could do a. Tom Petty and a Tom Petty and a
- 1:29:13heartbreaker type thing whereas like the converse kid but in the
- 1:29:15band has their own side name generates is crazy the.
- 1:29:18Kicks. That's I think that.
- 1:29:21I think that's the move. I think that could be a really
- 1:29:23good idea. I mean, look at Ghost.
- 1:29:26Ghost is a band that's one guy's essentially the driving force
- 1:29:29and everyone plays around him. Ozzy's been that youngblood.
- 1:29:31Like he has a band behind him, but people realize, hey, this
- 1:29:33guy has worked his ass off to build this brand.
- 1:29:36It's not all like if maybe that's the move is like you find
- 1:29:39musicians who are more dedicated to the the music aspect than it
- 1:29:43is having their name there. You know what I mean?
- 1:29:46Yeah, for sure. And.
- 1:29:47There's definitely people out there like that that are like, I
- 1:29:49don't want. There's a really good saxophone.
- 1:29:50Player that would probably have no problem being part of the
- 1:29:52Converse kid band. Like I wish that he played.
- 1:29:56Drums though, that's like, honestly, if one person could
- 1:29:59just play the drums for me. I mean, and people are like, why
- 1:30:02don't you ask your mom and stuff like that?
- 1:30:03And it's not that it's like a weird thing.
- 1:30:05It's just that she's busy. She has a life.
- 1:30:06She has. Could you imagine if?
- 1:30:08Fucking Harry, like that asshole had to go out and get popular
- 1:30:11and famous. Like he would have been a good
- 1:30:13person learning drums to fucking throw in there.
- 1:30:16That's. Fucking funny.
- 1:30:17Now he has his own. Thing going on, he has his own
- 1:30:19thing going. On and he has his own thing
- 1:30:20going on like man you guys are so successful and then they're
- 1:30:23like dude we don't message you because we think you're just
- 1:30:25busy yeah I'm. Like why?
- 1:30:28Why would I be busy? You're the ones out there doing
- 1:30:30shit. But I mean, that's true though.
- 1:30:32It's like I'm always posting about something.
- 1:30:34I'm always playing a show or I'm always writing and recording.
- 1:30:38So it's like I just, I don't know so any.
- 1:30:42Any new hobbies or interests that you have picked up since
- 1:30:44then? Any.
- 1:30:45Are you watching any movies? Playing any video games?
- 1:30:47Anything you're that's out there right now, you're currently
- 1:30:48into. I've really been into watching a
- 1:30:53lot of videos based on VFX work lately in film and CGI and stuff
- 1:30:59like that. I briefly got back into coding
- 1:31:02games. Me and my cousin Ben were kind
- 1:31:06of going back and forth about making AVR game, which I don't
- 1:31:09want to go into details with because it's a pretty good idea.
- 1:31:13But I did that for a little bit and was trying to learn coding
- 1:31:16again and was just kind of just small stuff that I never really
- 1:31:21took off the ground with. But streaming again, I've been
- 1:31:26getting back into doing live streams, playing music and and
- 1:31:30also games and just hanging out. Is there any new artists?
- 1:31:34Or musicians you're into right now that you're like a fan of
- 1:31:37Dude One. 100% so many so many. Palomino is a big one for me.
- 1:31:43Obviously always Timmy, always like yell at God, all the people
- 1:31:48that have ever put me onto a show like Justin, who I'll be
- 1:31:52playing with any mainstream. Stuff that you're in has been
- 1:31:56really good for. Me.
- 1:31:58I like. Their newest release, I got to
- 1:32:01meet them and they were pretty chill.
- 1:32:03I'll just say that. Not that I had a negative
- 1:32:07experience with any of them, they were all awesome.
- 1:32:10Maybe maybe one of them was a little awkward, but other than
- 1:32:13that, the the band's great. I would love to play open up for
- 1:32:18them someday and, and, and get a second chance at me not being an
- 1:32:22awkward person. But yeah, Silverstein, I've been
- 1:32:26listening to their newest album. It's OK right now.
- 1:32:30I don't like it entirely because of the let's collaborate with as
- 1:32:35many people as possible thing that everybody's doing right
- 1:32:38now. But.
- 1:32:40It is what it is. You know, I've been.
- 1:32:41I've been. I've been obsessed with just
- 1:32:43listening to Ozzy over and over and over.
- 1:32:45Yeah, but I'm also like, I, I Youngblood got me listening to a
- 1:32:50lot of Youngblood. I'm still obsessed with Ghost.
- 1:32:52That's a lot of that really. No one really caught.
- 1:32:54On to him until that happened. And that kind of bums me out,
- 1:32:57'cause like, he's always been a pretty talented artist.
- 1:32:59Youngblood. Like I remember very.
- 1:33:00Talented couple of his singles. Back in the day, but I think
- 1:33:04that emo rap was like flooding the gates of everything that was
- 1:33:09going on, you know what I mean? Like and and now that he did
- 1:33:13that and people are like, wow, he's more than just that art,
- 1:33:15that kind of artist. Like he can actually sing or he
- 1:33:18can actually entertain people. So he's watching.
- 1:33:21Him is like, he's like a mix of like the four or five artists I
- 1:33:24really like and then into one human, into a new generation.
- 1:33:28Like I look at him like when I first seen him, I was like,
- 1:33:30who's the Sex Pistols punk kid? And then I was like, all right.
- 1:33:34And then he kind of like evolved.
- 1:33:35And I was like, oh, this who's this David Bowie dude?
- 1:33:38Like kind of like cross dressing and really put his sexuality out
- 1:33:42there and like kind of toe nose lines.
- 1:33:44And then I see him do the Aussie thing.
- 1:33:46I'm like, oh, he's young Aussie. And then I was like watching and
- 1:33:49listening. I'm like, he's kind of like a
- 1:33:50Steven Tyler too. He's a big ass mouth on him.
- 1:33:53And then him and Steven performed last week.
- 1:33:55I'm like, he's like an amalgamation of all these
- 1:33:57amazing rock stars and he's kind of finding his way to really,
- 1:34:01really do cool things. M.
- 1:34:04Worked with him in 2017 and 2018 before he was popular.
- 1:34:07Hopefully good things. Yeah, she's like, he's a
- 1:34:10fucking. Dick she's she's like.
- 1:34:13Texting me, she's like, he's a bad person.
- 1:34:15No, I'm kidding. No.
- 1:34:17He he bites the heads. Off bats.
- 1:34:19That's weird. He's like trying to just so hard
- 1:34:22so. Hard.
- 1:34:24Yeah, what games are you playing lately?
- 1:34:29Me and M have been just playing a lot of Cuphead.
- 1:34:32Like so much so that she just gets rage baited every time that
- 1:34:36I don't think I that's too. Hard.
- 1:34:37I can't do that. It is a lot Warped Tour.
- 1:34:41That makes sense to me. No it.
- 1:34:45Cuphead is fun, peak is fun. I've been playing a lot of peak.
- 1:34:49Peak's been a great time and also Valorant, which no one
- 1:34:56knows what the fuck that game is anymore, but it's a first person
- 1:35:00shooter arena. Kind of like Overwatch but
- 1:35:03different, a little bit more tactical.
- 1:35:04Overwatch for like. N64 graphics no.
- 1:35:08It looks. Shitty.
- 1:35:09I watched you play it. Yeah, I think it looks like it
- 1:35:12looks like fucking 2001 video game.
- 1:35:16That's crazy. Yeah, that looks just.
- 1:35:18Be my PCV. And shit, honestly, maybe I'm.
- 1:35:21Like why is he playing like a fucking Super Nintendo game
- 1:35:24That's funny to. Me, I wish I could get more into
- 1:35:29like single player games, but I just don't have the time in my
- 1:35:32head. I don't have the time.
- 1:35:33I'm like, I'm wasting too much time.
- 1:35:35I'm not writing a song. I'm not, you know, doing
- 1:35:38something productive. Yeah.
- 1:35:40But I am. Excited.
- 1:35:41I am excited for something very specific which is out right now
- 1:35:47and we should play some time the new skate.
- 1:35:51Is it out? No, it's not on.
- 1:35:54My Xbox I can get new skate right now.
- 1:35:56It should. It should be.
- 1:35:57Out. Yeah, it should be out.
- 1:35:58It's odd on PCI. Just downloaded it the other
- 1:36:00day. I'm checking.
- 1:36:02Out as we speak. So we've been talking about this
- 1:36:06for a while, but I'm going to put it on the universe because
- 1:36:07we're on screen and I'm going to pressure both of us to that's
- 1:36:10really loud. I apologize my Xbox startup
- 1:36:13stream and I'm going to pressure both of us to try to do it.
- 1:36:15It won't be something consistently, but I have been
- 1:36:18talking to not just Billy but a few to a few other people of
- 1:36:22maybe collaborating more and making more content so I'll have
- 1:36:25more people who are like, hey, I want to do.
- 1:36:29I want to come and. Review this or I want to review
- 1:36:31that and me and Billy are going to kind of maybe do a lot of the
- 1:36:35music side of things like review albums.
- 1:36:37Like Billy's going to challenge me with an album that I'm going
- 1:36:39to challenge him with an album and kind of meet in the middle
- 1:36:41and and do some not cool in high school stuff, but there might be
- 1:36:44movies and other things in there as well.
- 1:36:46So that is that is something to really look forward to.
- 1:36:48I think we're going to try to make that happen.
- 1:36:50I want to get you. In.
- 1:36:51Contact with my buddy Rob who I just did.
- 1:36:54Oh, get them out of here. Who's the the fake fake ass?
- 1:36:58No, these are my actual. Viewers, this is all I have on
- 1:37:01Twitch. I'm not kicking them out.
- 1:37:03They're the only people who watch me on Twitch.
- 1:37:04That's the only viewer I have right now.
- 1:37:07Shout out to 123 dude right there.
- 1:37:09That's thanks for holding it down.
- 1:37:12I don't see Skate at all. I don't see I don't see skate
- 1:37:14really. Yeah.
- 1:37:16I don't see it under new games or games coming soon so I don't
- 1:37:19think it's available. I don't think it's out for.
- 1:37:22Console yet maybe? Not I, I Oh, wait, wait, wait.
- 1:37:25What's? This.
- 1:37:26What's this? All right, so you can.
- 1:37:28Search skate but it says currently not available.
- 1:37:30Continue shopping. Got you.
- 1:37:32Maybe it's just not out on on there yet.
- 1:37:35That's weird. Maybe I can download it.
- 1:37:38I haven't tried to play it yet, so maybe I can just.
- 1:37:40Oh my God, yeah. Well, that becomes the thing.
- 1:37:42Well, I mean, I'm not going to be good at it, but I'll play it.
- 1:37:45But yeah. I want to get.
- 1:37:46You in contact with my buddy Rob who I just did his podcast that
- 1:37:50comes out Wednesday. Called.
- 1:37:53Everything after, and I think you guys would, I think you guys
- 1:37:57would hit it off because he asked me before the show, he
- 1:38:01sent me a couple of things and he was like, what's a movie
- 1:38:04that's been on your mind? What's like your, you know,
- 1:38:07what's your favorite movie or what's a movie that's just been
- 1:38:08on your mind? And I told him there's this
- 1:38:10movie called Wizards from 1977, and it came out before Heavy
- 1:38:15Metal. And.
- 1:38:18It's just this crazy film about two Wizards and propaganda and
- 1:38:24how it floods the world and it's the two Wizards are brothers and
- 1:38:27the one Wizards are fucking Nazi, which is crazy.
- 1:38:30And then the other wizard, the good wizard is the wizard that's
- 1:38:33not that. And so it just did you get high
- 1:38:36and watch a weird. Version of the Wizard of Oz.
- 1:38:38Like what's the? I was driving past the.
- 1:38:42My honing drive in and I heard the audio for it and I was like,
- 1:38:45whoa, this music's fucking wild. Like this is bumpin.
- 1:38:48This is psychedelic and it's cool and it's it sounds like
- 1:38:51war-torn and I'm like pull and I was like I gotta go see what
- 1:38:54movies in the theater. I paid like 5 or 10 bucks or
- 1:38:57whatever and I went in and I was watching and I was like, this is
- 1:38:59insane. It's the trippiest shit ever.
- 1:39:02I want to get it called to. It's called.
- 1:39:04It's just called Wizards. Animated film from. 1977 from
- 1:39:11the people that created heavy metal.
- 1:39:14And it's an animated. Film.
- 1:39:18Interesting. And it's mixed.
- 1:39:19Media and it has like all this stuff, but it it's, it's got
- 1:39:23like crazy imagery and it's so different to me, it kind of
- 1:39:27looks like. Like the sword and the stone.
- 1:39:29Almost it. I mean it.
- 1:39:32Came out before that so that a lot of a lot of animations took
- 1:39:37after that afterwards, you know what I mean?
- 1:39:39Like as far as like inspirations go, but it's really good a.
- 1:39:43Big booby elf girl. Yeah, that's I'm going to get.
- 1:39:45Her tattooed. That's the Princess.
- 1:39:48I think it's Princess. What's her name?
- 1:39:50I can't remember but yeah, interesting.
- 1:39:53I look into it. I just watched Have you watched
- 1:39:58that documentary The wrong number yet?
- 1:40:02No. Oh.
- 1:40:03My God, I'm going to change your life.
- 1:40:05Billy on Netflix called wrong number.
- 1:40:09This girl in high school, she has her her little high school
- 1:40:12sweetheart boyfriend and everything's amazing.
- 1:40:15And they're they're both athletes and good students and
- 1:40:17good kids. And they live in a small little
- 1:40:18town called like any of those town of school.
- 1:40:20Everybody, everybody knows everybody.
- 1:40:23And she starts receiving these text messages.
- 1:40:25I hope her and her boyfriend. Watch this.
- 1:40:30My God, I'm not going to. I mean, everyone kind of knows
- 1:40:32where it goes to, but holy about I won't spoil it, Lily, if you
- 1:40:36haven't watched it, but like she just keeps receiving all these
- 1:40:39horrible texts of telling her she's terrible and she's the
- 1:40:42scumbag and she should hurt herself and her boyfriend's
- 1:40:45cheating on her and all these really sexual disgusting things.
- 1:40:50Then you find out who did it. Crazy.
- 1:40:53It's fucking crazy because EM was talking to me about it and I
- 1:40:56was like, that's a thing. Like that's a real thing.
- 1:40:59She's like, yeah, it's a document.
- 1:41:00That happen everywhere, all the time.
- 1:41:02That's the world. That's crazy, you know what I'm
- 1:41:04saying? Like Yikes.
- 1:41:07So that close. That close to you?
- 1:41:09Yeah, it's pretty close. This is about as close as you
- 1:41:11can get. That's a fucking crazy
- 1:41:13documentary. I watch it.
- 1:41:14I love the one. I love the TikTok sport where
- 1:41:17it's like, see ya honey, love you.
- 1:41:19And then like they're like you fucking little fucking flat ass
- 1:41:22fucking bitch. I hope you I love you man.
- 1:41:28Like the tick tocks making fun of the documentary are the best.
- 1:41:31Like they're like how? Because it's almost like they're
- 1:41:34not making fun of the situation. Like what that girl went through
- 1:41:36is the most traumatic thing of her life and it sucks that she
- 1:41:39has to live the rest of her life because of it and it probably
- 1:41:41affected her so so much. But the context of.
- 1:41:44It completely, yeah, but just the.
- 1:41:46Aspect of just like the like almost like yeah without the
- 1:41:49person doing it like caring and. Then all of a sudden being Yeah.
- 1:41:52And then they got. They got like a slap on their
- 1:41:54wrist for the most part I feel about it.
- 1:41:56Like if that was the other way dude, that person would still be
- 1:42:00in jail. Could you imagine if it was a
- 1:42:02male figure? Spoiler alert, it wasn't a dude
- 1:42:05if it was a male figure sending those explicit sexual messages
- 1:42:09to a young child. Female.
- 1:42:12Yeah. Bro he would have.
- 1:42:13They would have threw the key away on him, yeah.
- 1:42:17They he definitely wouldn't. Be allowed to talk to him ever
- 1:42:19again, that's for sure. And this person?
- 1:42:22Still has contact with the person.
- 1:42:25That's insane. That's that's, that's, that's
- 1:42:28forgiveness that. I can't understand.
- 1:42:33I Yeah, No. It makes me sick and it makes my
- 1:42:35skin crawl inside. I'm like, I would never be able
- 1:42:37to see you the same ever again. And I would hope that you died.
- 1:42:41Yeah. I would have, I would not.
- 1:42:42Have I would have very strong feelings, Yeah.
- 1:42:44So what are some new learning experience or advice you would
- 1:42:47pass off to someone trying to chase your dreams or do music or
- 1:42:51do Omegle's dreams? What would what would be your
- 1:42:54your advice? Don't let anyone.
- 1:42:56Influence you otherwise. Do do the.
- 1:43:01Thing that makes you happy 100% you're going to have to alter it
- 1:43:06eventually in some way shape or form just to get the formula
- 1:43:10down. But if you stop entirely, you'll
- 1:43:14never be able to pick up that steam and and maybe never, not,
- 1:43:18never, never be able to is like kind of a stretch.
- 1:43:20But sometimes it's harder to when you've like just fucking,
- 1:43:23if you let it go, you're it's just going to be so much harder
- 1:43:26and you're going to put so much more work on yourself.
- 1:43:28But sometimes you do need, you need that break.
- 1:43:30You need the pause within it to get back into a motivated
- 1:43:34mindset. So if you're someone that's like
- 1:43:38driven, and I'm in no way an expert because I don't, I'm not,
- 1:43:41I don't have a label. Yeah, we're still figuring, you
- 1:43:43know. What I mean like.
- 1:43:44That 10 people watch Who? The fuck are we?
- 1:43:46Yeah, but I've toured. I've I've booked shows where
- 1:43:49I've gotten paid in different States and stuff like that.
- 1:43:51So like if that's your goal, I can get you there.
- 1:43:57Really the whole thing is make real friends.
- 1:44:00Make actual fucking friends and be the most realistic person you
- 1:44:05can and cut out all the bullshit.
- 1:44:07If it doesn't align with you, then just, you know, split it
- 1:44:10off, get it out of here, Don't fucking deal with it, and find
- 1:44:14the people that actually align with the things that matter to
- 1:44:17you. And that might not be me, but,
- 1:44:19you know, you got to figure your own thing out, yeah.
- 1:44:23What are you grateful for? Are you currently happy?
- 1:44:26My. Family, my, my current
- 1:44:28girlfriend is really rad and I'm very happy about that.
- 1:44:33The music scene that I've sort of slowly embedded myself into
- 1:44:37just super supportive and I'm really grateful.
- 1:44:40I mean, they might not be chatting, but I'm sure that
- 1:44:43they're watching. They're very, very quiet people.
- 1:44:48But yeah, no, I'm very grateful for everyone that I've met in,
- 1:44:52in when they're available, They, they do tend to share
- 1:44:56everything. So it's it's really sweet.
- 1:44:58So awesome. Awesome.
