- 0:08Speaker 1: Advice Sell Lo Lo Loall, welcome to the Naughty but
- 0:18Speaker 1: Nice Show. I'm your house to Rob Shooter. It's Friday,
- 0:21Speaker 1: which means our dear friend Corey Andrew from Instinct Magazine
- 0:25Speaker 1: dot com joint says, Hey, Corey, are you there? I
- 0:27Speaker 1: am here? Happy Friday? Everyone, Happy Friday. I love Fridays.
- 0:31Speaker 1: I do. I plan to go out drain to night.
- 0:37Speaker 1: I might see this d maybe Lupo and so we're
- 0:40Speaker 1: gonna have a little drinking poo. You're welcome to join
- 0:42Speaker 1: us a little later on if you want to. Corey
- 0:44Speaker 1: and all the naughties, if you're in New York City,
- 0:46Speaker 1: We're gonna go out. Oh I need a drink. It's
- 0:48Speaker 1: been too long and I need a good, good piece
- 0:53Speaker 1: of gossip and a good laugh. That's what our last
- 0:55Speaker 1: night was sinking the Mayo. Though you didn't get in
- 0:56Speaker 1: your car, stay in because honey, we have to do
- 0:59Speaker 1: this show. I've become so responsible with my heart. I
- 1:02Speaker 1: think in our contract we have to file these shows
- 1:05Speaker 1: by nine thirty in the mornings. Were trying to get
- 1:08Speaker 1: as up about nine. But it is a commitment, and goodness,
- 1:12Speaker 1: nose as ridiculous as I am, I sort of have
- 1:14Speaker 1: kind of a strong work ethic. I do believe if
- 1:17Speaker 1: you sign up for something, whether it be work or
- 1:19Speaker 1: even life relationships, you gotta turn up. You gotta turn up.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Of course, of course you've gotta turn up. And I'm
- 1:25Speaker 1: not sure I could. After several drinks with you, my friend,
- 1:28Speaker 1: I know, in fact, I'm pretty sure I got so
- 1:30Speaker 1: tonight we can go and paint the town. Read. Hey,
- 1:34Speaker 1: what time is it? My friends and usd time? Howard
- 1:37Speaker 1: Sterne is saying that Hollywood is left up for Dave
- 1:42Speaker 1: Chappelle versus Will Smith response. So there was a very
- 1:46Speaker 1: different response for Dave Chappelle and Will Smith. So the
- 1:50Speaker 1: radio icon't is tearing into Tinseltown claiming that they're treating
- 1:55Speaker 1: the Oscar slapper Will Smith very differently. Then they are
- 2:00Speaker 1: treating Dave Chappelle's attacker. He said the following, and he's
- 2:04Speaker 1: not wrong. Quote. This guy jumped on stage and attacked
- 2:08Speaker 1: Dave Chappelle. As soon as that happened, did they let
- 2:12Speaker 1: him go back to his seat and laugh and sit
- 2:14Speaker 1: there with his wife and then give him an award. No,
- 2:17Speaker 1: they took him backstage and they broke his arms and hands.
- 2:20Speaker 1: That's what Howard Stern is saying, so after after this happened,
- 2:25Speaker 1: a list is including Chris Rock and Jamie Fox. They
- 2:29Speaker 1: all tended to Chappelle and since then the gentleman that
- 2:32Speaker 1: jumped up on stage has been charged with felony assault.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Felony assault, So, needless to say, how are the saying
- 2:41Speaker 1: that this is really hypocritical and the same standards don't
- 2:44Speaker 1: apply to Will Smither after he got up and slapped
- 2:49Speaker 1: Chris Rock. Now I don't like any of this. I
- 2:51Speaker 1: wish nobody was slapping anybody here. I don't like it.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Where are you on this care you know? I just
- 2:56Speaker 1: think it's a false equivalence. I mean Will Smith is
- 2:59Speaker 1: not some rare and dumb guy. And now granted physically yes,
- 3:01Speaker 1: he's correct, but I mean Will Smith is a is
- 3:04Speaker 1: a known presence. He's a Hollywood celebrity in that element
- 3:07Speaker 1: of the Oscars. It's not like the random guy jumped
- 3:10Speaker 1: up from the audience who no one knows. So there's
- 3:12Speaker 1: a very there's a false equivalence there one how it
- 3:14Speaker 1: makes that comparison. But I see his point. But of
- 3:17Speaker 1: course they didn't do that to Will Smith. I mean
- 3:19Speaker 1: that's obvious that they wouldn't have done that to Will Smith.
- 3:22Speaker 1: So I don't write, yeah, I don't want it to
- 3:24Speaker 1: sound like you're playing into what Howse said here, and
- 3:27Speaker 1: that you're saying because Will was the celebrity at the Oscars,
- 3:31Speaker 1: he got away with it. I don't think you're saying that.
- 3:33Speaker 1: I think Will was not going to hurt him to
- 3:36Speaker 1: the degree that some random point person jumping up on
- 3:39Speaker 1: the stage with a with a fake gun in his hand.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Let's remember that and a knife that could have been
- 3:44Speaker 1: much more serious. As ugly as the Will Smith incident was,
- 3:47Speaker 1: it was a horrible slab, but it was gonna be
- 3:49Speaker 1: no more. This guy that attacked Dave Chappelle, he could
- 3:53Speaker 1: have done real damage I carrying. Yeah, that gun definitely,
- 3:57Speaker 1: it was like a gun that turned into a knife
- 3:58Speaker 1: or something. It was like for it was pretty terrifying.
- 4:01Speaker 1: But yeah, I mean to clarify, what I mean is
- 4:03Speaker 1: just that the context of which Will Smith was there
- 4:06Speaker 1: was the Askers, and he's a very known presence. So
- 4:08Speaker 1: I don't think that even people understood what was really
- 4:11Speaker 1: happening when they were watching that slap. They thought it
- 4:13Speaker 1: was part of a bit or a skin. They didn't
- 4:14Speaker 1: know what they were watching. This was clearly an assault,
- 4:17Speaker 1: so it got treated very differently for that reason, I think.
- 4:20Speaker 1: But in any event, I'm glad that everyone's okay and
- 4:23Speaker 1: no one's could have been dangerous. It could have been
- 4:26Speaker 1: really dangerous. Beyonce was there, Madonna was there, Elon Musk
- 4:29Speaker 1: was there. That could have been a gun. It could
- 4:31Speaker 1: have been a gun. It's a replica of a gun,
- 4:34Speaker 1: but it could have been. It's also true that Chris Rock,
- 4:38Speaker 1: as awful as it was, was not in any real danger. Yes,
- 4:43Speaker 1: getting slapped in the face is awful and it should
- 4:46Speaker 1: not happen. But this guy, Will Smith was never going
- 4:49Speaker 1: to pull a gun, I hope. I mean, we've got
- 4:51Speaker 1: to say that. Yeah, we can't get too crazy here,
- 4:53Speaker 1: and so I do think that. But what I want
- 4:55Speaker 1: to be clear here that often if you're famous, you
- 4:58Speaker 1: can get away with stuff, and I think that's try
- 5:00Speaker 1: Howard is saying here. Maybe the example is a little off.
- 5:03Speaker 1: I think you're right there, Corey, the example is a
- 5:04Speaker 1: little off. They're apples and oranges. They're not the same thing.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Although jumping on stage and attacking the comedian now is
- 5:11Speaker 1: something that I hear, Corey, lots of comedians are really
- 5:14Speaker 1: worried about now you've done stand up? Is this going
- 5:17Speaker 1: around the comedian community? Are people talking about this? Yeah.
- 5:20Speaker 1: I have a friend who's just doing a big show recently,
- 5:22Speaker 1: and he was saying how he wants them to put
- 5:24Speaker 1: like chicken wire up in front of the in front
- 5:27Speaker 1: of the stage, like it's at that point. And you know,
- 5:28Speaker 1: and I've had um a couple of times after a
- 5:31Speaker 1: show and I've done stand up people didn't like a joke,
- 5:33Speaker 1: and you know, and it's scary because and now they
- 5:36Speaker 1: feel like they may have a pass to slap you
- 5:39Speaker 1: because of all this that's going on. So it's a
- 5:41Speaker 1: little disconcerted. Wow wow, Wow, Well it looks like the
- 5:45Speaker 1: gentleman that when after Dave Chappelle is not going to
- 5:49Speaker 1: be prosecuted, it seems that there is going to be
- 5:52Speaker 1: no criminal prosecution that I know. So now they're talking
- 5:56Speaker 1: about what to do. But TMZ are reporting at the
- 6:00Speaker 1: l A p d sources they pushed for a felony charge,
- 6:04Speaker 1: but the d A disagreed and dismissed it, which brings
- 6:08Speaker 1: us to our pole question of the day. How much
- 6:11Speaker 1: Stern is saying Hollywood is left up for the way
- 6:13Speaker 1: that it treated the person that slapped Dave Chappelle and
- 6:16Speaker 1: Will Smith very differently. Do you agree? That's the question
- 6:19Speaker 1: in the day? Do you agree with Howard? Do you
- 6:21Speaker 1: get away with stuff? If you're famous? Hey, go votes
- 6:24Speaker 1: on our Twitter page at Naughty Nights rob Facebook pages
- 6:27Speaker 1: Naughty goes Up. I'm be sure to check like a
- 6:29Speaker 1: Monday year. Here your results. Hey, Corey Love, what are
- 6:33Speaker 1: you working on? Yes? Well? Chim Cantrell says it's heartbreaking
- 6:37Speaker 1: that the third Sex and the City movie involved this.
- 6:41Speaker 1: And let me tell you where this is so Sex
- 6:43Speaker 1: and the City star Chim Coatrell. She revealed that one
- 6:46Speaker 1: of the reasons why she declined to join the now
- 6:48Speaker 1: defunct Sex and the City three movie. She confirms that
- 6:52Speaker 1: a detail her character, Samantha Jones, was meant to receive
- 6:56Speaker 1: an unwanted I just say it's a d pic from
- 7:00Speaker 1: Miranda's then fourteen year old Yes, um and it. Kim
- 7:06Speaker 1: says that you know that her character was supposed to
- 7:08Speaker 1: receive this unwanted pick from Miranda's then fourteen year old son,
- 7:12Speaker 1: which is a little bit of a strange filmed plot.
- 7:15Speaker 1: I will say so. She says, it's heartbreaking you know
- 7:18Speaker 1: when she actually confirmed that detail to Variety, And she
- 7:21Speaker 1: also told Variety that she turned down the role in
- 7:23Speaker 1: the original series three times before before she took the part.
- 7:27Speaker 1: She said no three times because at forty two, she says,
- 7:30Speaker 1: I really didn't think I could pull it off, and
- 7:32Speaker 1: I finally said, you're making a mistake. Here, she explained
- 7:36Speaker 1: of her original rejections. Right, so she was definitely wrong. Right.
- 7:39Speaker 1: She went on to do such a great job on Yeah,
- 7:43Speaker 1: she's she's like one of the most iconic characters ever
- 7:46Speaker 1: in cable TV history. A little amazing. But in February,
- 7:49Speaker 1: you know, Sarah Jessica Parker, if you recall, said she
- 7:52Speaker 1: didn't want Kim Control to reprise her role as Samantha
- 7:54Speaker 1: because she says, I think there's just too much public
- 7:57Speaker 1: history of feelings on her part that she has shared. Now,
- 8:02Speaker 1: Katrell has also revealed that she found out about HBO
- 8:05Speaker 1: Max's revival series and just like that, just like everyone
- 8:08Speaker 1: else did on social media. And still though, Katrell said that,
- 8:12Speaker 1: you know what, she's content to leave all the versions
- 8:15Speaker 1: of Sex in the City behind, and it's I really
- 8:17Speaker 1: agree with her here. She says, it's a great wisdom
- 8:20Speaker 1: to know when enough is enough. I just want to
- 8:22Speaker 1: I just want to move on, and I don't want
- 8:24Speaker 1: to compromise what the show was to be for her.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Isn't it a really good life lesson to like to
- 8:30Speaker 1: know when to back out and be done. I love that,
- 8:34Speaker 1: you think I love this now. I don't think Kim
- 8:37Speaker 1: really wanted to talk about sex in the City. She's
- 8:39Speaker 1: on the cover of Rioting. Obviously, whenever you interview Kim Cartrell,
- 8:42Speaker 1: you're going to talk about sex in the City. I
- 8:44Speaker 1: think she handled it beautifully and she's being honest to you.
- 8:46Speaker 1: She doesn't want to do it. She didn't really want
- 8:48Speaker 1: to do it in the first place. That was a mistake,
- 8:50Speaker 1: she said. She went on and really turned Samantha Jones,
- 8:53Speaker 1: as you said, Corey into an iconic character, but she
- 8:56Speaker 1: didn't want to go back. She has lovely memories, she
- 8:58Speaker 1: told them, Matt and I don't. She's even taken a
- 9:01Speaker 1: dig at them by revealing she found out about the
- 9:04Speaker 1: reboots like we all did on social media. She passed,
- 9:07Speaker 1: so they're not going to keep asking. Once she passed,
- 9:09Speaker 1: I don't want to do it, then they move on
- 9:11Speaker 1: with that. You I think, actually, here It sounds like
- 9:13Speaker 1: a lot of drama, but I think both sides are happy.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Sarah doesn't like Kim, Kim doesn't like Sarah. They don't
- 9:20Speaker 1: want to work together anymore. They're adults, they don't that's
- 9:24Speaker 1: the end of that. I don't feel sad for Sarah here.
- 9:26Speaker 1: She's making millions, and I don't feel sad for Kim.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Kim is in a really good place, you know who.
- 9:30Speaker 1: I feel sad for us. We want someone for Jones back. Yeah,
- 9:35Speaker 1: that's what it is. These two women are perfectly happy.
- 9:38Speaker 1: They're super rich, they're living their lives. They've moved on.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Sarah with Carrie Bradshaw, Kim without It makes perfect sense here.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Everyone's trying to make this really dramatic. The only drama
- 9:47Speaker 1: here is that we we feel left out. We we
- 9:50Speaker 1: want you. True. But I also think too that she
- 9:54Speaker 1: I agree with you. She handled as well because she
- 9:56Speaker 1: is so sick of talking about sex in the city.
- 9:58Speaker 1: And I found her very gracious and very calm and sweet.
- 10:03Speaker 1: So she's a pro. She's yeah, she knows she's going
- 10:06Speaker 1: to be asked about it, and I think handled this
- 10:08Speaker 1: just beautifully. Hey, new drama surrounding Kat and William's new home.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Kat and William and planking to move to a new
- 10:14Speaker 1: cottage in Windsor to be closer to the Queen. Now
- 10:17Speaker 1: get this, The Daily Mail are reporting that the Queen's
- 10:20Speaker 1: disgraced son he had his eye on the cottage for
- 10:24Speaker 1: his daughter Eugenie. Now just a reminder, Eugenie moved into
- 10:29Speaker 1: frog Bare Cottage, which is where Megan and Harry used
- 10:32Speaker 1: to live. But they gave it them, sort of loaned
- 10:34Speaker 1: it to Eugenie because they don't want it anymore. They're
- 10:36Speaker 1: in there in California. So sources close to the Yorks,
- 10:41Speaker 1: that is to to Prince Andrew, they told the Daily
- 10:44Speaker 1: Mail that Eugenie really wanted that that cottage, but she
- 10:48Speaker 1: had to back down because when it comes to the Cambridges,
- 10:52Speaker 1: that is William and Kate, you're not going to beat
- 10:54Speaker 1: them because their direct heirs to the throne. So you know,
- 10:58Speaker 1: like within every fam like if my mom and dad
- 11:01Speaker 1: at a spare house, they don't, but if they did,
- 11:04Speaker 1: sister Betty would get it first. She's the oldest I know.
- 11:07Speaker 1: They like her in the most. I would be on
- 11:09Speaker 1: the bottom of the list, like I just you know,
- 11:11Speaker 1: within the family, I think you're the only child, Corey,
- 11:14Speaker 1: and you won't know what this feels like. But everybody
- 11:16Speaker 1: listening who has a brother and a sister, they know this.
- 11:19Speaker 1: We all know who's the top dog now. My sister
- 11:21Speaker 1: Betty thankfully is not going to be the Queen of
- 11:23Speaker 1: England one day, but she's still the oldest in the family.
- 11:26Speaker 1: She's the one that's gonna get it. The cottage is
- 11:29Speaker 1: only ten minutes walk away from the Queen, so that's why.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Actually William and Kate want to be there. They want
- 11:35Speaker 1: to be much closer to Queen Elizabeth. It's sort of sweet.
- 11:38Speaker 1: But if they get it, that means somebody else doesn't.
- 11:41Speaker 1: I think the Queen's probably making the right decision. What
- 11:43Speaker 1: do you think, Well, you know, I don't know. I
- 11:45Speaker 1: just my mind goes elsewhere. These names of these places,
- 11:49Speaker 1: it's like a Disney film. Frogmore Cottage, Darling, the Adelaide Cottage,
- 11:56Speaker 1: Chance and I want to live there. Butterfly not cottages.
- 12:00Speaker 1: That not cottages that mag I loove what they call them.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Cottages they had not placey, you know, don't worry about
- 12:09Speaker 1: any of these. That all fine. I think it's the
- 12:11Speaker 1: message Britney spears. She has a new message. Yeah, this
- 12:15Speaker 1: is a pretty serious one too, So Britney Spears says
- 12:17Speaker 1: her father Jamie made her feel ugly, like I was
- 12:19Speaker 1: fat and never good enough. So Britney is learning how
- 12:22Speaker 1: to feel beautiful again after she says her father, Jamie Spears,
- 12:25Speaker 1: ruined her confidence. Now she was under that conservatorship for
- 12:29Speaker 1: thirteen years, as everyone knows, and she took the Instagram
- 12:32Speaker 1: to share a photo of herself as a young teen
- 12:35Speaker 1: and now. In the caption of the post, she wrote
- 12:37Speaker 1: that at age thirteen, that was one of the only
- 12:39Speaker 1: times in her life when she felt kind of pretty.
- 12:42Speaker 1: I think my rebellious days were due to the fact
- 12:44Speaker 1: that I always had to be perfect and pretty, she said.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Then I went to the extremes and went wild and naughty.
- 12:50Speaker 1: But in those rebellious days, I honestly still felt hot
- 12:54Speaker 1: as f Wilson now spears, who is expecting a child
- 12:58Speaker 1: with her fiance Sam Askari. You know, she shared that
- 13:01Speaker 1: one of the things that hurt her the most during
- 13:03Speaker 1: her conservative her conservative ship was being told that I
- 13:07Speaker 1: was fat and never good enough. Quote. My dad always
- 13:11Speaker 1: made me feel like I had to try, try, try
- 13:14Speaker 1: big time. He ruined the deep seed of my existence,
- 13:16Speaker 1: the seed that made me feel beautiful like when I
- 13:18Speaker 1: was thirteen, My confidence, my swag, my inner dialogue, and yes,
- 13:23Speaker 1: even my sex life all completely ruined. She shared, he
- 13:27Speaker 1: made me feel ugly. Therefore, I was, Oh, Brittany, I
- 13:32Speaker 1: just want to hug her. And it explains. You know,
- 13:35Speaker 1: she's sort of addressing that she had that mental distress
- 13:38Speaker 1: that time when she shaved her head and all that,
- 13:40Speaker 1: and we see the deep rooted stuff now coming forward.
- 13:43Speaker 1: I'm glad she's sharing it and being honest. What do
- 13:45Speaker 1: you think me too? This is the most revealing post
- 13:48Speaker 1: Brittany I think has ever made. If you read nothing
- 13:51Speaker 1: else by Britney Spears, read this one. It tells you
- 13:53Speaker 1: who she is. This is a girl that was so
- 13:55Speaker 1: damaged as a young young child, damaged and have to
- 14:00Speaker 1: feel like you're perfect. I think it's something we can
- 14:02Speaker 1: all relate to. Goodness knows, we've all put that pressure
- 14:06Speaker 1: on ourselves or had other people putting on us. That's
- 14:10Speaker 1: what Brittany is saying here. I think about myself here, Corey,
- 14:14Speaker 1: and I've got to end. My parents were really kind
- 14:17Speaker 1: to me, and they tried really hard to make me
- 14:19Speaker 1: feel handsome and special. I put them with a pressure
- 14:22Speaker 1: on myself. And I'm not quite sure where that came from,
- 14:25Speaker 1: But for years I used to say the most cruel
- 14:28Speaker 1: things to myself. I don't do it anymore. Now I
- 14:31Speaker 1: look in the mirror and I find one thing, only one.
- 14:33Speaker 1: But if I one thing every day that's nice to say,
- 14:36Speaker 1: I don't look at the what you perceive floors. Look
- 14:40Speaker 1: in the mirror every morning when you're brushing your teeth
- 14:42Speaker 1: and find one nice thing to say. I start every
- 14:45Speaker 1: day with a compliment, and I give it to myself.
- 14:48Speaker 1: We're going to take a quick break and we will
- 14:50Speaker 1: be right back. Wilcome back to that naughty but nice show.
- 14:56Speaker 1: I'm your head. Stop shoot with that, dear friend, Corey Andrew, Hey, Corey,
- 14:59Speaker 1: let's get to the poles. So Devil Chappelle was tackled
- 15:04Speaker 1: while performing on stage at the Hollywood Bowl. Is Will
- 15:09Speaker 1: Smith to blame for this? Let's have a look. Oh
- 15:11Speaker 1: whopping Se said? Yes, Will has started this. But I
- 15:15Speaker 1: think it's interesting here. I don't think it's totally Will,
- 15:18Speaker 1: But I think the acceptance of violence in the culture
- 15:21Speaker 1: we living is out of control. You never ever ever
- 15:25Speaker 1: put your hands on anybody and will shame on you.
- 15:30Speaker 1: You've made this worst. Don't forget to mote on two
- 15:34Speaker 1: Day's pole. Go to our Twitter page at Naughty Nice
- 15:36Speaker 1: Rob or our Facebook pages is Naughty Gas here, but
- 15:39Speaker 1: be sure to check back on Monday, yatter here your
- 15:43Speaker 1: results are Now it's time for yes. Well. People are
- 15:53Speaker 1: wondering why Harry Styles and Olivia Wild skipped men Galler.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Fans speculated the two might make their official debut as
- 16:01Speaker 1: a couple at the Star Studied event at the Metropolitan
- 16:04Speaker 1: Museum of Art, but alas, we can chalk their absence
- 16:08Speaker 1: up to the fact that sometimes even a list stars
- 16:10Speaker 1: are literally just too busy to go out. Oh figure,
- 16:14Speaker 1: just like the rest of us. But you know, the
- 16:17Speaker 1: duo has been known to keep the relationship private anyway,
- 16:20Speaker 1: so it could also be that, um, I thought that,
- 16:23Speaker 1: you know, the the awards were kind of fun without them.
- 16:25Speaker 1: It's still survived without them being there. So it's five yeah, yeah,
- 16:28Speaker 1: I do. I mean Harry Styles, it's such a fashion icon.
- 16:31Speaker 1: I would love to see him on the red carpet.
- 16:34Speaker 1: I love Olivia while too, But I've got to be
- 16:35Speaker 1: honest here, this was not a mussy couple for me.
- 16:38Speaker 1: In the same way that I really wanted to see
- 16:40Speaker 1: Kim and Pete together, and goodness, no Ryan Reynolds pla
- 16:45Speaker 1: those two. Yeah, I think I'd rather see Harry just
- 16:48Speaker 1: standing by himself in something ridiculously fabulous. So I'm not
- 16:52Speaker 1: that disappointed, but I understand what they are saying. And
- 16:55Speaker 1: you know, even stars too, they get busy just like us.
- 16:59Speaker 1: And no, he is the the day nought. Kim is
- 17:02Speaker 1: revealing why Kanye West got up and walked out of
- 17:05Speaker 1: her sn L monologue. So Kim revealed that Kanye was
- 17:09Speaker 1: in the audience when she hosted Saturday Night Live, but
- 17:11Speaker 1: he got up and he walked out, And Kim is
- 17:13Speaker 1: now revealing he was upset because she said in her monologue,
- 17:16Speaker 1: I divorced him. He did not like that at all.
- 17:19Speaker 1: I know he wishes she had used the word filed
- 17:23Speaker 1: for divorce rather than I divorced him. So that's one
- 17:26Speaker 1: thing that upset him. And then the other thing she
- 17:28Speaker 1: said that upset him. She referred to him as a rapper.
- 17:31Speaker 1: You know, pretty logical. I I think that he did
- 17:35Speaker 1: not like that, and he said to her quote, I'm
- 17:38Speaker 1: so much more than a rapper. I can't believe you
- 17:41Speaker 1: said I know, I feel that I can't believe you
- 17:44Speaker 1: said I have a rapper. Kim did note that he
- 17:48Speaker 1: is so used to getting exactly what he wants. Well
- 17:52Speaker 1: that night he did, and Kanye, you're a naughty est.
- 17:55Speaker 1: After day, let's end with a moment a rab You're
- 17:59Speaker 1: a rub Let me repeat this. So, no night in
- 18:03Speaker 1: shining armor on a horse is coming to save you.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Only you can do the work to succeed. Only you
- 18:11Speaker 1: to find a safe place where you can practice and
- 18:14Speaker 1: fail and succeed, and then you will be ready when
- 18:18Speaker 1: opportunity knocks. Practice every day at succeeding. I was offered
- 18:24Speaker 1: this podcast several years ago, and I wasn't ready. When
- 18:28Speaker 1: my heart first talked to me about doing a podcast,
- 18:31Speaker 1: I wasn't ready, so part of me wanted to just
- 18:33Speaker 1: say yes. I was so excited I heart Radio Rob
- 18:36Speaker 1: Shuar a podcast. I wanted to say yes, but I
- 18:38Speaker 1: knew I would fail. I wasn't ready. I hadn't done
- 18:41Speaker 1: the work to succeed. So I found a safe place.
- 18:44Speaker 1: I found this really wonderful independent studio, Derek can Remain
- 18:50Speaker 1: that let me practice for a year. It let me
- 18:54Speaker 1: learn my craft, let me fail. There were so many
- 18:57Speaker 1: shows that were just awful. Corey and the North Things
- 19:00Speaker 1: were there to hold my hand and teach me how
- 19:03Speaker 1: to do this. Had I not done that, had I
- 19:06Speaker 1: not found a safe place to fail and succeed, I
- 19:09Speaker 1: would have never ever been ready when opportunity knocked. Again.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Think about it. We all want the big stuff. We
- 19:16Speaker 1: all want to be on those big shows or those
- 19:19Speaker 1: big opportunities. I would argue, if you really think about it,
- 19:23Speaker 1: you don't take the small stuff practice, don't bite off
- 19:29Speaker 1: more than you can chew. You get one chance at
- 19:31Speaker 1: the big stuff, So do the small stuff and fail.
- 19:34Speaker 1: It's fine to fail, just fail in a safe place.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Does that make sense, Corey? It does? And you know what,
- 19:40Speaker 1: every day you work at it, your honing your craft.
- 19:43Speaker 1: You're getting better so that when that opportunity comes, you're
- 19:46Speaker 1: going to knock it out of the bar park. So
- 19:48Speaker 1: I agree wholeheartedly that is my philosophy as well. Amen.
- 19:52Speaker 1: That's it for this week. Thank you so much for
