- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:02Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're picking up where we
- 0:06left off with the Virginia Roberts memoir The Billionaire's Playboy Club.
- 0:12It didn't take me long to get back into my
- 0:14own comfort zone, heading straight back to my cabana after
- 0:17dessert was served, nearly tripping over my own feet as
- 0:21I tried to scuttle off in a hurry. As soon
- 0:24as I entered my domain, I drew a breath inside,
- 0:27a deep exhale outwards, Finally alone and at peace for
- 0:31now at least. Although the sun had set hours ago,
- 0:34the high temperature of the Caribbean were still an affliction
- 0:38plaguing my cabana. I was welcomed by a rush of
- 0:42warm airror as I opened the door. I hit the
- 0:44switch to the fan and stripped down for a shower.
- 0:47Preparing my towel and toilet trees, I opened the back
- 0:50door to the outside shower and placed them on the floor.
- 0:53Whether I was cleaning up in the midst of a
- 0:56hot day or retiring for the evening, an outside shower
- 0:59was all way splendid under the thick, dark cloak of
- 1:02the night sky. Only the moon and stars to shed
- 1:05enough light for me to see my way around. I
- 1:07could feel the soft breeze lick droplets falling off of
- 1:11my body's curves in the reflection of the moonlight. It
- 1:14only encouraged me to stay longer under the warmth from
- 1:17the spray of rushing water. I let the hot water
- 1:20run out before I was sufficed enough to go back inside.
- 1:24Lounging around the bed and my panties in a tank top,
- 1:27I was still sweltering from the heat, trying to tire
- 1:31myself out. I did some reading and eventually fell asleep.
- 1:34I needed those times to unwind after such an ordeal.
- 1:37Letting the xanax wash away all of my pain, I
- 1:40could then forgive the mistakes I had made, blaming myself
- 1:44for staying around. For this, I had wished I had
- 1:47never been born at all. The pills would take all
- 1:49of that away from me. My heart was tangled in
- 1:52a weave of deception and pain, only reassured by the
- 1:56lies that were told to me, and the lies I
- 1:58would have to convince myself. When we flew back into
- 2:02Palm Beach, Juan drove me back to my apartment lonely,
- 2:05for some companionship. I decided to call an old friend.
- 2:08I was longing to be important to someone, and unfortunately,
- 2:11with such little time to have a social life of
- 2:13my own, I was compelled to call TJ again. His
- 2:17mom answered the phone and sounded quite surprised to hear
- 2:19my voice on the other end. She was always kind
- 2:22to me. I even used to bring her back kolacans
- 2:25from other countries, a bizarre hobby she loved collecting. She
- 2:30just didn't know what to say or what I saw
- 2:32on her son, even saying that to his face many
- 2:35times over. Not blind to his ways of cheating and stealing,
- 2:39being a personal victim of it, she made it a
- 2:42parent that he did not approve of TJ's choice and
- 2:45a lifestyle. It used to really hurt him how his
- 2:48parents thought so badly of him, so he gave up
- 2:51trying to earn their love a long time ago. As
- 2:54long as he didn't steal from them anymore, he was
- 2:57allowed to live there. Instead of that being a lesson
- 2:59to him, he would just try to be more clever
- 3:01and what he would steal less obvious things. He would
- 3:04steal the toaster and sell it for five dollars if
- 3:07he knew it would help him get his next high. Nonetheless,
- 3:10and at my expense, I had a sweet spot for him.
- 3:13With enough water under the bridge, I was able to
- 3:15forget about the troubles he caused. His mom told me
- 3:19she'd passed on the message when he got home, but
- 3:22that could be days from now. The last time he
- 3:24had been home was a couple of weeks now. He
- 3:26only stopped by to get something to eat, have a
- 3:28long sleep, and beg for a few bucks, supposedly to
- 3:31help him buy food. Then he was off again without
- 3:35a single word, only leaving his parents with their own assumptions,
- 3:39which were pretty much correct anyway. I then called around
- 3:43a couple of mutual friends to see if anyone had
- 3:45heard from him. Everyone I spoke to pointed their finger
- 3:48in the same direction and the worst place possible, Richie's house.
- 3:52One of his best friends told me how he bad
- 3:55he'd been doing. He's not the same guy anymore, and
- 3:58all he cares about is his next hie and where
- 4:00he gets it. If we don't get anything for him,
- 4:03he just loses it and goes off somewhere. It was
- 4:05hard to hear how badly affected my best friend was
- 4:08and a part of me secretly hoped they weren't right.
- 4:12Still defending him, I told everyone I had spoke to
- 4:14while trying to find him that TJ would be fine.
- 4:17He's just probably going through a bad phase like we
- 4:20all do sometimes, and he needs people to have his
- 4:22back more now than ever. I was pretty much laughed
- 4:25at on the spot. Most people that I considered my
- 4:28friends at the time were only friends by association. As
- 4:31long as we all looked the part, acted the part,
- 4:34and could handle the part, only then did they want
- 4:36to be around us. The last person I called was
- 4:39the last person I had hoped he wasn't with, and
- 4:42it turned out that everyone was right. He was one
- 4:45of the biggest coke dealers in our area, Richie Rich,
- 4:47as everyone used to call him. He didn't look like
- 4:50a typical, strung out junkier dealer. Instead, he looked like
- 4:53your average preppy college grad with aspiring propositions. He dressed
- 4:58well and acted like a nice guy to the eminent clients,
- 5:01only to get them hooked on his drugs and then
- 5:04turns them in and onto the streets. He was a businessman,
- 5:08and his business was thriving. He carried everything from the
- 5:11most dangerous drugs to guns and knives. Having ears in
- 5:15all places made him dangerous acquaintance, using kids off the
- 5:19local Palm Beach street to run his dirty errands and
- 5:22the errands of the others above him. He made his
- 5:25money by using these teenagers, who, as hard as it
- 5:28was to believe, was once somebody sweet child. I knew
- 5:32TJ didn't have his finances to support himself or his
- 5:35drug habit, so the likelihood of him being indebted to
- 5:38Richie in other ways was a safe assumption. Obtaining Richie's
- 5:42number from one of TJ's friends, Marcus, he asked me,
- 5:45what do you want to call Richie for? Come over
- 5:47to my place and I can get you whatever you want.
- 5:50Marcus was a sleeves bag who would tirelessly continue to
- 5:54try to appeal to my lesser sense of judgment, never
- 5:56getting the hint or not, just caring that I could
- 5:59never would never be interested in him. No thanks, Marcus,
- 6:03Can I just get the number pleased? It's very important
- 6:05that I get a hold of TJ. I'm really worried
- 6:07about him. I hated having to call this guy, let
- 6:10alone ask him for something. Is this about the Adam bullshit?
- 6:13Because if it is, you can let him know what
- 6:16a fucking bitch he is for not showing up to
- 6:18be there for him. You can tell him that from me,
- 6:21and that it's his fault and he should have been there,
- 6:23and it should have been him that's lying in the
- 6:24morgue now, not Adam. I was totally thrown off by
- 6:28his allegation. I could only mutter out a whisper. Did
- 6:31you just say that Adam's dead? What happened? Oh? Snap?
- 6:34I thought you knew where you've been? Girl under a
- 6:36rock or something. Marcus was less than sensitive about his statements.
- 6:40He got shot in the head by two black guys
- 6:42who got suspicious when their usual supplier didn't show up.
- 6:46Your boy, TJ was so fucked up he didn't even
- 6:48remember to turn up at Richie's for the delivery. So
- 6:51Richie sent Adam alone, and now he's dead. Adam was
- 6:54a sweet kid who had just happened to be born
- 6:57living on the wrong block. Best friends with TJ s childhood,
- 7:01The two were inseparable until puberty hit, and then they
- 7:05would chase girls together, and Adam followed in TJ's every footstep,
- 7:09mimicking his shadow. If TJ jumped off the Eiffel Tower.
- 7:13Then so would Adam. So then TJ got hooked on drugs. Consequently,
- 7:17Adam did too, leading ultimately to his death. Wanting to
- 7:21end the conversation with Marcus quickly, I scribbled down the
- 7:24number on the blank piece of paper in front of
- 7:26me and hung up the phone call. And then I
- 7:29called Richie's place immediately. Yeah, it was Richie, who bluntly
- 7:32answered the phone after the first ring. Hi, uh, rich
- 7:36it's Jenna, TJ's X. We met a couple of times
- 7:38at a few parties. I was trying to remind him
- 7:40of who I was, knowing how paranoid he was about
- 7:43people having his number. Oh yeah, I know who you are.
- 7:46What is it that you want, he answered with a
- 7:48dry tone. I was hoping you could tell me where
- 7:51I could find TJ. I've heard some stuff and I'm
- 7:53really worried about him. Is he all right? Richie snickered
- 7:56at my concerns. Where he was mom or Something's fine?
- 8:00He should be back here around five o'clock. I'll tell
- 8:02him you called in the middle of me saying thank
- 8:04you and goodbye. He hung up the phone. As there
- 8:07is no room for manners. In his line of work.
- 8:11I waited until five o'clock, watching the minutes on the
- 8:13clock tick by, and when five o'clock came and passed
- 8:16with no phone call, I couldn't deny to myself that
- 8:19I wasn't stricken with distress. Falling asleep wasn't easy either.
- 8:24I ended up crashing out on my sofa watching TV,
- 8:27half expecting to hear another murder on the news, and
- 8:30it being TJ forgetting to put on my eyemask before
- 8:33I went to bed. I was woken up the next
- 8:35morning by rays of the sun beaming into my living room.
- 8:40When I sleep, I am a creature of darkness, avoided
- 8:43any window light at all costs, staggering to the coffee pot,
- 8:47not used to getting up this early. My first thought
- 8:49that day was TJ and why he hadn't called. A
- 8:53million thoughts rushed through my head like a steam train.
- 8:55Is he okay? Is he not calling because he's still
- 8:58mad from our last breakup as he moved on to
- 9:01someone else? Is he in trouble? Did Richie even pass
- 9:04on my message? The thoughts were an endless infliction, consuming
- 9:08my entire day, until finally he called my cell phone
- 9:12later in the afternoon. Relief swept over me when I
- 9:15heard his voice on the other end. Thank god you called.
- 9:19I've been so worried about you. Are you all right?
- 9:22I jumped in without letting him know or get pass,
- 9:24saying hello, Yeah, I'm fine. Richie told me you called
- 9:28his house looking for me yesterday and gave me shit
- 9:31for saying you were upset or something. What's up? I
- 9:34knew I would have to dedicate about asking what happened
- 9:37to Adam, thinking he'd be a mess over it. I
- 9:40heard from Marcus that something happened to Adam, and I
- 9:43got worried about you. What's going on? TJ? TJ sounded
- 9:46scared for what reasons were beyond my knowledge, but I
- 9:50was going to find out, He replied, I don't want
- 9:52to talk about it over the phone. Are you in
- 9:54town so we can meet up or something? It was
- 9:56obvious I wanted him to know that I was more
- 9:59than willing to let me shoulder for his problem. I'm
- 10:01home now if you want to come over whenever you
- 10:03feel like it. He didn't hesitate, and taking me up
- 10:07on the offer. But I won't be able to get
- 10:09there until later. I'm downtown at Richie's place unless you
- 10:12want to come pick me up. It was more of
- 10:14a request than a favor to myself, which is what
- 10:17he was making it out to sound like. Knowing him
- 10:20all too well, I didn't make a fuss of his
- 10:22ill contemplated attributes. I got the address off him and
- 10:26made my way into the ugliness of the not so
- 10:29dazzling parts upon Beaches downtown area, rolling up my windows
- 10:33and locking the doors to my truck, I nervously drove
- 10:37down the rough streets trying to find Richie's apartment complex,
- 10:41knowing all too well his history of the area. It's
- 10:44not a place a lone white girl in a nice
- 10:46truck wants to be seen. Many reports of the locals
- 10:48rushing up the vehicles with a weapon, demanding money, cars,
- 10:52or just angry and out to hurt someone. I was
- 10:55speeding through the streets, wanting to get out of there
- 10:58as quick as I could. A sad world we live in,
- 11:01with so much hurt everywhere you look, and nobody wanting
- 11:04to do anything about it. Just accepting the hopelessness of
- 11:07never being able to achieve anything more than what our
- 11:10civilization has to come to. Being among one of these
- 11:14people We were similar in so many ways, only separated
- 11:18by our personal fears in the different direction they pulled
- 11:21us into. I drove straight through the open gates at
- 11:25the entrance to the complex and parked on the gutter
- 11:27in front of Richie's block of units. Crowded people stood
- 11:31outside the block as I was entering, being hit on
- 11:33and offered drugs simultaneously. My cheeks went flush and I
- 11:37put my head down, not saying a word. Walking up
- 11:40the corridors of the staircase looked like a scene out
- 11:43of a horror flick. Graffiti covered the peeling of green
- 11:46paint on the walls, and the pungent stench of something
- 11:49rotting only to the worst of my imagination filled my nostrils.
- 11:54I could hear baby screaming through the thin walls, and
- 11:57trying to find the unit number was difficult from the
- 11:59sporadic flicker of the fluorescent lights above me. At last,
- 12:03I found Richie's one, quite astonished with myself that I
- 12:06even made it this far. I had to knock loudly
- 12:09on the door a few times before a young girl
- 12:11answered the door with eyeliner bleeding down from her eyes.
- 12:14Her jet black hair was strung out and a mess,
- 12:18and she looked off her face on some hard drugs.
- 12:22She had only her brown and a short skirt to
- 12:25cover her private areas, and a cigarette hung out of
- 12:27her mouth to complete the full picture of terrible state
- 12:30she was in. She looked me down and up with
- 12:33a contempt and snubbed at me, what do you want?
- 12:36I maintain my politeness and told her TJ was expecting me.
- 12:39She opened the door and walked away, leaving me by
- 12:42myself to venture through looking for TJ. All right, folks,
- 12:45you're going to wrap up right here and in the
- 12:47next episode dealing with the topic, we're gonna pick up
- 12:49where we left off. All of the information that goes
- 12:52with this episode can be found in the description box.
- 12:55What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 12:58Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're diving right back in
- 13:01to Virginia Robert's memoir a Billionaire playboys club. Passing through
- 13:06the kitchen, it looked like a hospital lab, with syringes
- 13:10on the countertop and medicine containers lying around everywhere. Minding
- 13:14my steps through the dirty house, I walked to the
- 13:17back of the living room and found TJ and a
- 13:19k hole strung out on a filthy couch. Hey there,
- 13:23he acknowledged me with a giant smile spread across his face.
- 13:26He probably didn't even know who I am or who
- 13:29I was from the dreadful state that he was in.
- 13:32My first look at him in months, and I was
- 13:33in utter shock. My jaw must have dropped to the
- 13:36floor at the very sight of him. Never seeing him
- 13:39so skinny and unhealthy looking, I took pity, and I
- 13:42wanted to help him before things got even worse and
- 13:45he ended up like Adam dead. TJ. Hey, buddy, it's Jenna.
- 13:49Remember I was coming to pick you up today. You
- 13:51don't look so good. What are you doing so messed up?
- 13:54I don't think he could even understand what I was
- 13:56even saying, because he could only reply by giggling and
- 14:00rolling over, patting the couch as if it were a
- 14:02fluffy animal. I stood over him now and raised my
- 14:05voice so he'd know I was serious and snap out
- 14:08of it a bit. Get up, TJ. Now. I ushered
- 14:11at him to get him off the couch, repeated myself
- 14:14a few times over, and with no response, I knew
- 14:17I had to get physical, rolling him back over to
- 14:19face me again. I smacked his face hard, and I'm
- 14:22sure it's stung, but I got the reaction I had wanted.
- 14:25He sat up and looked at me, confused. At least
- 14:28now he was able to focus on my words requesting
- 14:31him to come with me. He was just getting up
- 14:34from the couch and stumbling around before falling down to
- 14:37the floor again. Putting his arms around my neck and
- 14:39carrying the majority of his weight. I helped him up
- 14:42many times, over and down three flights of stairs, into
- 14:45my truck and drove him back to my place. It
- 14:48was a triumph on its own, arriving downstairs in one piece.
- 14:52Being the only person who really cared if TJ lived
- 14:54or died, I felt like it was my responsibility of
- 14:57helping him, and it was my concern alone. Thankfully, Jeffrey
- 15:00was in Palm Beach for the next couple of days
- 15:03or weeks entertaining royalty, which gave me a little bit
- 15:05of time to try and clean TJ up. I called
- 15:08a few of his friends that I knew, and I
- 15:11asked them not to score any drugs for him, pleading
- 15:15with them and telling them that he was on the
- 15:17brink of death, reminding them of their friendship between us,
- 15:20all that once existed before the drugs corrupted so many
- 15:23of us. Some of them laughed, telling me I was
- 15:26wasting my time with TJ, and others were nice enough
- 15:28to at least lie to my face politely and promise
- 15:31not to help him feed his addiction. I just wanted
- 15:34to remedy all of his pain and problems, but I
- 15:37felt so helpless fighting his battle against the streets. I
- 15:40bought some marijuana for him to smoke, hoping to subside
- 15:43the withdrawals he was facing over the next few days,
- 15:45but with no avail. The only thing that would help
- 15:48him was my xanax. A few of those pills, and
- 15:50he would go back to sleep, only waking up to
- 15:53get more of them. I would have to force him
- 15:56out of bed to take a shower once a day
- 15:58and make sure that he ate something. He was more
- 16:00like a baby right now than he was a boyfriend,
- 16:03too much in need of something I couldn't give. When
- 16:07I went to see Jeffrey over the next course of days,
- 16:09he picked out the dilemma I wore spread across my
- 16:12face straight away. You're back with TJ, aren't you. It
- 16:16was so funny that he knew me so well. Yeah,
- 16:18he's in a real bad place in his life right now,
- 16:21and he needs my help. He looked astonished and replied,
- 16:24you're a much better friend than I am. I know
- 16:26people like him, and trust me, they never change. No
- 16:29use in even trying, I believed him to, knowing I
- 16:33was stupid for even attempting to change DJ, but my
- 16:36heart felt differently. He was still a human being and
- 16:38a good friend of mine, just down at his worst.
- 16:41That's what good friends are for. I laughed back at
- 16:44his remark, not wanting to take this conversation too much further.
- 16:48I admire your loyalty at least, but take my word
- 16:51for it, he will hurt you again. His words were
- 16:54chilling but true. I had to find out for myself.
- 16:56Though almost seeming like an actual friend for a second,
- 17:00he ruined his brief momentary image by turning over from
- 17:03the unfinished massage that I was giving him, and acquired
- 17:06his sexual longings from my worn down soul. Not only
- 17:10did he know that I didn't want to endure any
- 17:12more demands tonight, but his energy enhanced from knowing it too.
- 17:17Looking up at him during the foreplay, it was easy
- 17:19observation from the look in my eyes that I hated
- 17:23every minute of it, seething through all of my duties
- 17:26until he climaxed. Most days I could take this kind
- 17:29of treatment. It was only seldom I couldn't hold it
- 17:31in the way Jeffrey disregarded my feelings. He had me
- 17:35just where he wanted me, like a pawn piece on
- 17:37a checker's board. I was his own personal sex slave.
- 17:41For the remainder of the evening, I stayed quiet, not
- 17:43sure of what to say after an episode like that.
- 17:46It was a vigorous display of how calculating he could
- 17:49really be. He required me to clean up his spilled
- 17:51seamen off of his genitals with a warm washcloth before
- 17:55he retired to his bedroom for a good night's sleep,
- 17:58only a monstrous creep. Sleep easy at night, knowing what
- 18:02pain he caused others. I went downstairs and asked Wan,
- 18:05who was still in the kitchen, to pay me for
- 18:07the evening, telling him that Jeffrey had gone to sleep
- 18:10for the night. It wasn't an unusual request. Wan would
- 18:14often have to fix up the girls after the sessions,
- 18:17and sometimes even drive them home. He went to Jeffrey's desk,
- 18:20and underneath was a duffel bag that was always held
- 18:23with an insurmountable bundle of CRISP one hundred dollars bills.
- 18:27He took out two for me and handed them over.
- 18:30I thanked him and said good night, as I was
- 18:32always polite to Wan and his wife Maria. His eyes
- 18:35were gentle and told me that he was allowed to say.
- 18:39I understood, well. We all needed to eat and pay bills, unfortunately,
- 18:44even sometimes at our own moral expense. Putting the keys
- 18:48in the ignition, I started up the engine and reversed
- 18:51out of Jeffrey's driveway with promptness. I didn't want to
- 18:54be there a moment longer than I had to be.
- 18:56Not much to look forward to getting back to my
- 18:58apartment either. I needed some time to filter my emotions.
- 19:02Parking my truck in front of the nearby beach, I
- 19:05took my shoes off, gradually stepping out of the door
- 19:07into the fog. I walked down to the edge of
- 19:10the sand, where the water licked my toes. My life
- 19:13was slipping away from me, and I was really beginning
- 19:16to question the difference between living and dying. I was
- 19:19so tired of everything, my whole existence revolved around being
- 19:23everything to everyone, forgetting about being something for myself altogether,
- 19:28pretending to be someone else became an attribute. I was
- 19:31better than good at, probably much of why Jeffrey liked
- 19:34me in the first place. This time, I held back
- 19:37my tears and only let the anger fester into a
- 19:40deep pit into my stomach. My rage was aimed at
- 19:44the very people who abandoned me to offend for myself
- 19:47in the first place, and accepted this life as normal
- 19:50for me, my parents. When I got back to my apartment,
- 19:53I was expecting to have to look after TJ, but
- 19:56to my surprise, he had come around good at that night.
- 19:59He agreed me at the door and ask me how
- 20:01my evening was. It was all fine. I easily lied.
- 20:05I never let anyone inside close enough to see my vulnerabilities.
- 20:09They were mine alone to battle in my head. They
- 20:11were too shameful to talk about anyway. He wanted to
- 20:15talk about something else. Sitting down at the dining room table,
- 20:18he began his spiel. I know you don't think much
- 20:21of me anymore. How could you? I'm a junkie who
- 20:23steals and sells drugs for a living. But I promise
- 20:26that's all going to change now. Adam is dead because
- 20:29of me, and the only way I can make up
- 20:31for it to him is to get away from it all.
- 20:34I promise that things are going to get better. It
- 20:37was a convincing talk, but I knew him all too well.
- 20:40His demon inside yearned for him to fail. But who
- 20:44was I to second guess him out loud. I could
- 20:46only try to give him hope. No one's perfect, DJ,
- 20:49at least you're trying now, and that's all that matters
- 20:52to me. I'm so proud of you. I gave him
- 20:54a sincere hug and kissed him for the first time
- 20:56in a long time. I love you, he said to me,
- 20:59and return my life back. We slept in the bed
- 21:01together that night and were officially back together. Two days later,
- 21:06I was gone again, beckoned to Santa fe Gleayne only
- 21:10told me I was to meet someone there. Not sure
- 21:13of whom that was. It wasn't my place to ask questions.
- 21:16As far as I knew, it could be anyone, and
- 21:19I had no choice but to be compliant to their needs.
- 21:23It was the middle of the day when I arrived
- 21:25at the airport. One of the ranchands came to pick
- 21:27me up in a big work truck that smelled like
- 21:29dirt and sweat, but I didn't mind. That's what I
- 21:32loved about the countryside. When we arrived at the mansion,
- 21:36my guest was already there waiting for me. I couldn't
- 21:39wipe the look off my face. As he turned around
- 21:41from the bookshelf that he was standing at Hello, the
- 21:45same old cheesy grin greeted me once again. It was
- 21:48His Highness, Prince Andrew, and what a sight. He wrapped
- 21:52his arms around my waist and greeted me like an
- 21:54old friend. I hugged him back, rolling my eyes at
- 21:57the same time, already dreading what lay in store over
- 22:00the next couple of days. My job was to entertain
- 22:03them endlessly, whether that meant having to bestow them any
- 22:06of my body during an erotic massage or simply take
- 22:10a horseback riding. For the next couple of days, he
- 22:13was to be my only concern, but he wasn't. I
- 22:16called in checking on TJ a few times a day,
- 22:19not wanting to be a nag, but just hoping he
- 22:21hadn't had any thoughts about relapsing. He was doing great,
- 22:25even applying for a couple of jobs. Being reassured by
- 22:28him made my time away less complicated, and, thankfully, with
- 22:32the help of my ever ready xanax, I was able
- 22:34to cope with the ordeal. The mansion was completely empty,
- 22:38save a couple of maids who also cooked our dinners
- 22:41for us, and a couple of bodyguards that we hardly
- 22:44even saw at all. The time dragged by slowly for me,
- 22:47as I was counting down the hours until I flew
- 22:50away again anywhere but here, I thought. It wasn't easy
- 22:54meeting the sexual desires of these strange men, the Prince
- 22:57being one of them. He loved my feet and even
- 23:00in between my toes. Then there was the lack of
- 23:03passion in the intimacy we shared. To him, I was
- 23:06just another girl and to me he was just another job.
- 23:10Not the right reasons to be together, But I thought,
- 23:13in this world and to these monsters, there didn't need
- 23:16to be a reason. To them, it's nothing but a
- 23:19reenactment of their personal fantasies. To me, a living nightmare. Thankfully,
- 23:23one of Jeffrey's assistants from New York called me on
- 23:26my cell phone in the morning on the second day
- 23:28to fill me in on my next adventure. I had
- 23:31a flight booked for me to leave that afternoon to
- 23:34arrive at LaGuardia Airport in the evening. Even though I
- 23:38had to go back to he had another controlling man,
- 23:40I was still relieved. At least I was used to
- 23:43the confinements of Jeffrey's control. In some twisted way, he
- 23:46was more comforting than these strangers he sent me to
- 23:50overlooking the city of New York. As the plane landed,
- 23:53felt like I was flying from one cage to another
- 23:56and trapped by falling victim to the predators that lured
- 23:59me into the closure. I didn't know how I would
- 24:02ever get out again. The deep pit in my stomach
- 24:04began to churn again, a physical reaction to the anxiety
- 24:08I was played with. Before getting off the plane, I
- 24:11touched up my makeup to hide any signs of the
- 24:14frailty that I was feeling. All right, folks, we're gonna
- 24:17wrap up right here and to the next episode. We're
- 24:19gonna pick up where we left off. All of the
- 24:21information that goes with this episode can be found in
- 24:24the description box. What's up, everyone, and welcome to another
- 24:27episode of the Epstein Chronicles. In this episode. We're picking
- 24:31up where we left off with the Virginia Roberts memoir
- 24:34The Billionaire's Playboy Club. Jojo met me at the arrival
- 24:37terminal and picked up my luggage for me. He never
- 24:40said much at all, nodding to any reciprocating conversation. I
- 24:44don't think he could really speak that good of English. Anyway,
- 24:48it was better for me as I preferred the quietness
- 24:50of the moment. He opened the back door for me
- 24:52and we headed off for my next prison cell. When
- 24:55we got to Jeffrey's mansion on seventy second Street, the
- 24:58place looked empty. I walked up the staircase to Jeffrey's
- 25:01office and he wasn't there. Feeling a bit hungry, I
- 25:04walked back down to where the kitchen was. I opened
- 25:07the fridge and found some leftovers that Adam Jeffrey chef
- 25:10had cooked. I loved his cooking when it wasn't filled
- 25:13with bean sprouts and tofu. He used to make the
- 25:16best pizza upon request, or whenever he was cooking seafood,
- 25:19which he knew I hated. He had an honest appeal
- 25:22about him and never even took notice when on many
- 25:25occasions us girls would be prancing around topless, sometimes even
- 25:29stark naked around the pool or the beach. He would
- 25:33have to serve us our meals and would do it
- 25:35with such a casual professionalism, never making anyone uneasy at
- 25:39any occasion. And she's talking about Adam Perry Lang right there, folks,
- 25:43friends with Jimmy Kimmel and somebody that's been on the
- 25:46Joe Rogan Show. Before halfway through my meal, the kitchen
- 25:50door swung open, and incoming was Jeffrey and Glane, choking
- 25:54down my bite of food. I got up from my
- 25:56seat and I kissed them both on the cheeks. Hi, guys,
- 25:59how are you? I greeted them, and Golayne answered for
- 26:01them both good. Good, Sit down and finish your meal.
- 26:04Don't let us interrupt you. I hated eating alone in
- 26:08front of people. Chewing food and maintaining a conversation at
- 26:11the same time didn't give off the best look. I
- 26:14was just finishing anyways. Can I get you guys anything?
- 26:17Maybe a tear or something. Always playing my part another
- 26:20reason to keep me around. I guess I went beyond
- 26:23the call of duty. And after the last period with them,
- 26:26I had been reminded of my place. Yes, I'll take one,
- 26:29Glaine stated, Jeffrey. How about you? Anything I can get
- 26:33for you? I asked again, any answered no, thanks. We
- 26:36just date and I'm still full. And they sat down
- 26:39together on the stools at the kitchen bench. I got
- 26:42out the shiny red kettle from the cupboard, knowing my
- 26:45way all too well around the kitchen, and put it
- 26:47over the hot stove plate. Turning around to face them,
- 26:51I thought they were acting peculiar, so Golaine started the conversation,
- 26:55how was the ranch with the prince. It was a
- 26:57natural reaction for me to blush, knowing exactactly what she
- 27:00was referring to. Keeping busy preparing the cup of tea
- 27:04and avoiding eye contact with both of them, I started
- 27:06to unpack the counter where I had been eating. I
- 27:10think he had a really good time. He seemed relaxed
- 27:12during the trip, and when we said goodbye to each other,
- 27:15he gave me a kiss. I went on to tell
- 27:17them what we did together. I took him horseback riding,
- 27:20nowhere too far, just around the property. We went swimming
- 27:23in the pool, and of course I gave him plenty
- 27:25of massages. He had a massage at least a couple
- 27:27times a day, really seeming to enjoy his time there.
- 27:31It's what they wanted to hear, not the truth of
- 27:34how disgusting I had felt over the whole thing, But
- 27:37they already knew the truth anyways. It's what they had
- 27:40trained me for in the first place. Like two proud parents.
- 27:43They both looked over at me with such content. Good
- 27:46you really did well, Jeffrey complimented me. Turning around the
- 27:49boiling kettle. I finished Glaine's tea for her, and the
- 27:52conversation led on to other subjects. We all ventured up
- 27:56to Jeffrey's office, and out came the infamous Duffel bag
- 27:59that when and wherever he did. I was given close
- 28:02to one thousand dollars for my time in Santa Fe,
- 28:04more than what I thought anybody in my young age
- 28:07could make for a couple of days work. It was
- 28:09fulfilling the obscene, vulgar needs of the so called privilege
- 28:13that earned me so much. I spent the next few
- 28:16days in New York, venturing out to do some shopping therapy.
- 28:19I love the eccentric parts of the city. Every street
- 28:22was different, but the same energetic vibe filled all of them.
- 28:26Animated with all different walks of life. Hanging out at
- 28:29coffee shops, reading the newspaper or a good book was
- 28:32a favorite pastime while in the Big Apple, being close
- 28:36enough to get back to Jeffrey for what he needed,
- 28:39but also far enough to get away from it all.
- 28:42Most of the days I slipped by without being missed,
- 28:45and I made my way back to Jeffrey's. Making one
- 28:47last pit stop, I walked into an old bookshop to
- 28:50browse at their assortment of old titles. I wasn't in
- 28:54any hurry, so I took my time reading the backs
- 28:57of interesting looking books. I bumped in to a girl
- 29:00looking down the same aisle. I was down. Sorry, I'm
- 29:03so clumsy. She was apologizing for my mistake. No, no,
- 29:06it was my fault. I wasn't looking at where I
- 29:09was going. I get so wrapped up with my nose
- 29:11in a book and trip over my own feet if
- 29:14I'm not careful enough. We were both giggling now, and
- 29:17I further introduced myself to her. Her name was Valerie
- 29:20or Vicky or something like that. Anyway, she was a
- 29:23student at school for hair dressing nearby, chatting away both
- 29:27young and similar interests in each other's choices of reading,
- 29:31we found it easy to speak to one another. She
- 29:33wasn't from around here, only being in the city for
- 29:36the last two months. Her parents hated her being here,
- 29:39but were also supportive in her big decision to move
- 29:42from the countryside in hopes of accomplishing her own dreams.
- 29:46Aside from not having her near them, they just wanted
- 29:49her to be happy and supported in her big decision
- 29:51to move to the city, helping her pay some of
- 29:54the way. She was a pretty girl with cherry red
- 29:57hair and soft white skin. Her long leg were emphasized
- 30:01by the short, flowery dress that complimented her hourglass figure.
- 30:05She would definitely fit the pro quo for going down
- 30:07in one of Jeffrey's Little Black Books. Only imagining the
- 30:11look on his face upon meeting her, I could already
- 30:14see his sly grin spread from ear to ear, knowing
- 30:17exactly what he would do with her, and the very
- 30:20thought of him tarnishing a sweet country girl such as
- 30:23her just couldn't be done. It was the beginning of
- 30:26a turning point in my life that started with realizing
- 30:30I had a choice at hand and the effect I
- 30:32could have on one person alone. I must be off,
- 30:36but it was really nice meeting you, bidding her a
- 30:39good night, and paying for my books. I turned around
- 30:42with one last glance over my shoulder and said good
- 30:44luck in the city. Leaving the bookshop was a small
- 30:47step in a growing abundance of larger strides to come.
- 30:51Turning the corner onto seventy second Street, I had an
- 30:54undeniable feeling in the pit of my stomach again. But
- 30:57this time it wasn't the familiar hurl of anxiety I
- 31:00was used to after I had done something wrong that
- 31:04I had regretted. It was a new feeling of pride
- 31:06and inner strength. I quite liked it a lot. I
- 31:09held my head high and smiled on the inside when
- 31:12Jeffrey asked me how my day was and what I
- 31:15got up to, not mentioning that I had let one
- 31:17girl slip on by The icy winter winds faded away,
- 31:21making way for the approaching sunny days that blossomed the
- 31:25colorful shades of spring. This was my favorite time of year.
- 31:29Making the most use of his island. We spent countless
- 31:32days of the increasingly hot days. There a constant array
- 31:36of visiting guests and plentiful young women to flock around
- 31:39keeping them entertained. Was a typical lazy afternoon on Little
- 31:43Saint Jeff's. We ate, drank and played under the blue
- 31:46blanket of cloud disguise. Too many, this lifestyle could seem
- 31:50idellic unless you were like me, the one on the
- 31:54other side of the fence where the grass wasn't so green.
- 31:57Fortunately for me, and in some ways not, I was
- 32:00mostly expected to attend only Jeffrey's insurmountable sexual desires, whereas
- 32:05the other girls who came one day and went the
- 32:08next were a promise to a multitude of open doors
- 32:11just for their meager participation and sexual acts with random men,
- 32:14only to be disappointed when they realized there was nothing
- 32:17more than a single night out for these geriatric senior
- 32:20citizens who most likely do or would die from Alzheimer's,
- 32:24and they would sooner forget their entire experience, let alone
- 32:27their first name. Surrounded by those in our world who
- 32:31many looked up to, but not seeing them from where
- 32:34I was standing, I didn't have the highest of standards
- 32:36in humanity. Then I met al Gore, his lovely wife,
- 32:40during one of those many weekends away in the Caribbean.
- 32:42I was blown away by the amount of attention Al
- 32:45doated on his wife. It was sweet to watch. They
- 32:48sat next to each other at the dinner table, gazing
- 32:50into one another's eyes, having an intimate conversation between them.
- 32:54Among the many guests that visited that night, in many
- 32:57of them young beautiful women, not once did al thighs
- 33:00stray elsewhere to them, they were the only ones there.
- 33:04He was up for presidential election that year, and he
- 33:07definitely had my vote. Anyone that could show that much
- 33:10devotion and passion towards his loved ones could have the
- 33:13same devotion towards running a country, or at least I
- 33:16thought so. He only left his wife's side to have
- 33:19a walk down the beach with the host of the weekend, Jeffrey.
- 33:22The weather was still warm in the evening when I
- 33:25decided to break away from the idle chat around the
- 33:27table and take a stroll too. Not wanting to interrupt
- 33:31the conversation between Jeffrey and Al, I walked in the
- 33:35opposite direction, plucking the washed up seashells embedded in the
- 33:38sand along the way. I enjoyed the serenity in the
- 33:41solitude of the island. So many nooks and crannies to
- 33:44get lost in I could imagine that I actually disappeared
- 33:48from the entire world for a moment. By the time
- 33:51that I came back to the main house, majority of
- 33:54the small crowd had been long gone retired to their cabanas.
- 33:58Even Jeffrey had gone off to bed. But trust party
- 34:01animal Glane was still up entertaining the remaining guests left
- 34:05at the table, telling her wild stories of people in
- 34:09places she is embarked on, trying not to make eye
- 34:11contact as I walk past them on my way back
- 34:14to the cabana, carrying my seashells inside my curled up blouse,
- 34:18I wasn't up for any more pointless talking tonight. Emptying
- 34:22out my seashells into a plastic bag, I went over
- 34:25my new treasure one by one. I love collecting odd things,
- 34:28shells being one of my favorites. Glene and I shared
- 34:31that interest together. We would enjoy walkabouts around the island
- 34:35searching for lost pieces of the remnants that pirates had
- 34:38left behind centuries ago. It was mostly broken plates or
- 34:42smashed glass from bottles of ale, and even occasionally getting
- 34:45lucky and finding some old coins here and there. It
- 34:49wasn't easy, though, both loving a challenge. It was perfect
- 34:52for us, and during many scratches from the bushes we
- 34:55would be searching through and then soar arms from digging
- 34:58all day, but it was worth it. In end, after
- 35:01nearly two years of collecting items and saving them, we
- 35:04made Jeffrey a mosaic table out of the remaining pieces
- 35:08left from the era of the Pirate's day. Upon completing it,
- 35:11we were both astounded in our creation. It was such
- 35:14an item of rarity and an interesting piece of work.
- 35:18When we presented it to Jeffrey, he was even impressed,
- 35:20not only in our amazing fins, but what we did
- 35:23with them. The table became an important work of art
- 35:27that Jeffrey showed off inside the main house lounge room,
- 35:30sparking much intrigue and table conversation by many of the
- 35:33visiting guests to his island. All right, we're going to
- 35:36wrap up right here, and in the next episode, we're
- 35:38going to pick up where we left off. All of
- 35:41the information that goes with this episode can be found
- 35:43in the description box. What's up, everyone, and welcome to
- 35:46another episode of the Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're
- 35:51going to pick up where we left off with the
- 35:53Virginia Roberts memoir The Billionaire's Club. The next day, I
- 35:57attended class as usual, but not to concentrate like I
- 36:01normally did, too excited about when I'd be seeing Robbie
- 36:04that night. Again. As I walked out of class that afternoon,
- 36:08even the teacher noticed a difference in my performance and
- 36:11asked me if I was feeling well on top of
- 36:14the world. Actually, I smiled back at the old instructor,
- 36:17and it wasn't far from the exact truth either. I
- 36:21hadn't ever felt the churning of the butterflies of my
- 36:24stomach and the constant thoughts of anyone else like this before.
- 36:28My girlfriend and I got a tuk tuk back together,
- 36:31as we usually did after school, and I couldn't shut
- 36:34up about the night before. She was laughing at my girlishness,
- 36:37telling me that anyone who just met me would think
- 36:41that I had never been let out before. But little
- 36:43did she know that I had more than my fair
- 36:45share in experience with men, and never had I ever
- 36:49come across anyone that could make me feel this way.
- 36:52And what spun me out even more was that it
- 36:55was such an instant attraction, never considering myself, a person
- 36:59who believed in the existence of love at first sight,
- 37:02but a true romantic deep at heart. I couldn't help
- 37:04but believe in it. Now he's my walk in proof
- 37:07of it. Waiting for me in the hotel lobby was
- 37:10the very person I couldn't stop entertaining the thoughts about
- 37:13all day. There he was, looking ever so fine, standing
- 37:16in front of me. Now the whole entire world faded away,
- 37:20and all that was left for the moment was this
- 37:22complete stranger I had only met last night, but somehow
- 37:26captivated the very essence of my very heart. There was
- 37:30no need for me to try and act cool. Now
- 37:32he already knew. I was snagged, hook line and sinker,
- 37:36Smiling all the way up the many stories in the
- 37:38elevator up to my room. He took notice of my
- 37:40pash decor of the hotel. You should see where I'm staying.
- 37:44This is a royal palace compared to where I'm staying.
- 37:47His first impression of me was that I was going
- 37:50to be a spoiled, high maintenance girl that had money
- 37:53coming in from parents or a hefty trust fund. Casually
- 37:57he got to find out through many deep and meaningful
- 37:59convers stations that my life's grim story wasn't that pretty
- 38:03at all. For some reason beyond my knowledge, I had
- 38:06the need to tell this stranger almost everything, wanting to
- 38:09be judged and looked down upon. For everything about my
- 38:12life that I knew I was wrong, and being the
- 38:15first time I had spoken about my years with Jeffrey
- 38:18to anyone honestly like that ever before, I had felt
- 38:21like I had deserved punishment. He offered me no judgment, instead,
- 38:25only gave me his warmth and compassion as he wrapped
- 38:28his strong arms around me, making me feel so meager
- 38:31and small, but so safe at the same time, encouraging
- 38:35me to see the worthiness of myself and leave that
- 38:37life behind. He adorned me with the kind of love
- 38:40that I was not accustomed to. He took me in
- 38:43and made me feel so at home. It was like
- 38:45I had known him my whole life. I couldn't bear
- 38:48to be without him another second while I was away
- 38:51on this dream holiday, when he was in training formoy
- 38:54Thai tournaments and I wasn't in school, nobody would ever
- 38:57see us, too enveloped any each other in my hotel
- 39:01room to care about anything else, which is why I
- 39:04asked him to come stay at my hotel with me,
- 39:06seeing he was never at his own anyway. My girlfriend
- 39:10was soon departing back to Wisconsin, making my room more
- 39:13than available for him. Enchanted by his words and tender touch,
- 39:18and the way that he made love to me was
- 39:20again like nothing I had experienced before, even down to
- 39:25after sex. As I had been routinely instructed by Jeffrey
- 39:28to get up for a warm washcloth to clean his
- 39:30genitals afterwards, he refused it, telling me I was no
- 39:33longer a slave and that he didn't want me acting
- 39:36like one. He just rather laid down together afterwards and
- 39:39repeat our sweet nothings with many adjoining kisses. On the
- 39:43third night, together with nothing but the bed sheets between us,
- 39:46we had spent all night looking at each other and
- 39:49into each other's eyes, sharing such an undeniable passion for
- 39:52one another. In the deepest caverns of my heart, I
- 39:56knew that this man would give me what I had
- 39:58never experienced before, true love. We were still laying in
- 40:03each other's arms when the orange and pink sunrise began
- 40:06to rise slowly through the peak of my room's windows,
- 40:10enticing me to come feel the freshness of the morning's
- 40:13chill on the bed sheets were still wrapped around my body,
- 40:17and I went to the balcony. It was overlooking the
- 40:20city in a valley surrounded mountainous tops. My thoughts began
- 40:24to rampage through my head, and I knew this could
- 40:26only be a dream for me. It was getting serious, now,
- 40:30too serious for the life that I led back home.
- 40:33As if he sensed my anxiety, Robbie walked up behind
- 40:36me and wrapped his strong arms around my waistline, gently
- 40:39kissing my neckline and pausing with this ever so thoughtful
- 40:42stare and gave me the exact opening that I needed
- 40:46to expel my thoughts back home. As you already know,
- 40:49I'm going back to somebody else. It's my job, and
- 40:53as much as I really like you, this guy that
- 40:55I kind of see is going to expect me to
- 40:57be putting him first. I'm so sorry to say all
- 41:00of this after such a wonderful few days as we
- 41:03have spent together, but you need to know that this
- 41:06thing happening between us can't get any more serious than
- 41:09what we have for now. I'm so sorry. I looked
- 41:13down to the floor with nothing else I could say
- 41:15to alter his perception on me now that I had
- 41:18told him the truth, and it never dawned on me
- 41:21that he wouldn't be out the door before I could
- 41:23even finish the sentence. But he continued to surprise me
- 41:27with the efforts to make me believe we were more
- 41:29than just friends with the summer crush. You see, your
- 41:32problem is that you don't see what I'm looking at
- 41:34right here in front of me, a beautiful girl who
- 41:36is completely lost in a game she has no control over.
- 41:40Get out of it. Now, take my hand and follow
- 41:42me back to my home in Australia. I heard what
- 41:46he said, but I found it hard to comprehend what
- 41:49he was actually talking about. What I asked him with
- 41:53a look of confusion on my face. He're nobody's property.
- 41:56You can do this, marry me. His statements got more
- 41:59and more pfe as he went on repeating the questions.
- 42:02He got on one knee and proposed again, Jenna, I
- 42:06am in love with you and I want to spend
- 42:08the rest of my life making you happy. Please don't
- 42:11go back to him. I know that I'm the only
- 42:13one for you, and I will always treat you right.
- 42:16He paused for another second and repeated his question, Jenna,
- 42:20will you please marry me? My hand fell into my
- 42:23face after that, and without even letting myself think through
- 42:26the answer, I let my heart do all the talking.
- 42:29Looking back up to him, I said yes. I almost
- 42:32shouted the answer at him, as if saying it louder
- 42:35would give the word more meaning. Wanting to believe him
- 42:38and everything that he was saying felt like a vacation
- 42:41from all of the suffering and loneliness that I had
- 42:43endured over a lifetime of abuse and degradation. But knowing
- 42:47what you want and getting it are two things that
- 42:50rarely went hand in hand, or so I thought. All
- 42:54I knew from the brief period I had known this
- 42:56stranger was that he was offering me a life and
- 42:59loved down an unfamiliar path. And it was a gamble
- 43:02to believe a complete stranger, But somehow I knew he
- 43:05was right. My heart was beating so loud I thought
- 43:09it was going to jump right out of my chest
- 43:11while the earnestness in my reply he picked up in
- 43:14his strong arms and took me back to the bed
- 43:17and reiterated his words in a more physical sense. This time.
- 43:21Never had I felt loved like this before, so swept
- 43:24off my feet and unable to even think, eat, or
- 43:27do anything for that matter, which would involve leaving the
- 43:30hotel room without him. Every day after school would be
- 43:35my Robbie waiting to take me back to the hotel
- 43:37room for another night's passionate rendezvous. But a few nights
- 43:40after his proposal, he had another surprise in store. He
- 43:45didn't just want to get married someday. He wanted to
- 43:47get married now this week even I walked into the
- 43:50fabric store and was attended to by several seamstress who
- 43:54were already expecting my arrival. I was there to design
- 43:58and have fun designing my own dream wedding dress. While
- 44:01I was busy picking out fabrics and having measurements taken,
- 44:05I would look away for a moment, only to catch
- 44:07his tender eyes staring in my direction. Such adoration behind
- 44:11his looks. Could it be real? I would often ponder
- 44:15it to myself, just hoping for the gamble I was
- 44:17taking to work. I still had to believe in something
- 44:20better than what I was accustomed to, And here he was,
- 44:23writesmack dab in front of me, giggling at all of
- 44:27the lace and frills, they were trying to dress me
- 44:29up in looking more like an antique porcelain doll than
- 44:32anything else. I closed my eyes and pictured the day
- 44:35that I thought would never come. Starting to imagine the
- 44:39kind of dress I would like to wear, I envisioned
- 44:41a simple, sleekness, a complimentary, figure hugging gown with a
- 44:45small train, but long enough to distinguish and distinct as
- 44:49an actual wedding dress. After we settled on what we
- 44:52were going to wear for the big day, we would
- 44:54next have to decide where we would hold the ceremony,
- 44:58not before celebrating the entire week beforehand, though. We started
- 45:01our honeymoon early, celebrating every night, spending our time between
- 45:05the hotel room and sending our heads spinning on the
- 45:09dance floor at many different clubs, only with each other
- 45:12in sight. The dance floor was ours. We were out
- 45:15to give each other something to remember each night by
- 45:19I whispered all of the things I couldn't wait to
- 45:21do to him. Once we got back to the hotel
- 45:23room and watching him heat up on the dance floor,
- 45:25I was never able to get enough of him, driving
- 45:28me crazy. Like a thirst, I was unable to quench
- 45:31his lips were like a fountain of deep springs that
- 45:34I could never reach the bottom of. Seven days, exactly
- 45:38a week after his proposal, I sat on my bed
- 45:40in distress, contemplating what I would say to the man
- 45:44who I was about to call. There was no nice
- 45:46way to go about it. It couldn't last forever with
- 45:49it and with him, and this was my one chance
- 45:52to get out of it for good. I was leaving him,
- 45:55never to return to him ever again. I just had
- 45:58to go ahead and do it. Part of me was
- 46:00hoping he'd be at least a little happy for me
- 46:03and the sudden change in my life's direction, But the
- 46:05other part of me knew I was already asking too
- 46:08much of him. Calling his office in New York, I
- 46:11was transferred to Jeffrey's personal office. He picked up the
- 46:15phone on the third ring, pausing before I could get
- 46:18any of the words to come out of my mouth.
- 46:20But I mustered up my courage eventually and gave him
- 46:22my prepared spuel, beginning with how much I had appreciate
- 46:26everything he had done for me up until this point.
- 46:28I hoped that he would understand, but he just wanted
- 46:31me to hurry up and get to the point trying
- 46:34to contagiously pass on my excitement through the phone line.
- 46:38I finally screamed out, I'm getting married. Can you believe it?
- 46:42No reply was given, only silence on the other end.
- 46:45Trying to make some conversation. Ridding the uncomfortable silence, I
- 46:48went on to tell him about Robbie and how I
- 46:51had fallen madly in love with him over the last
- 46:54amazing few days we'd spent together. The absence of sound
- 46:57made my thoughts begin to run wild, and to get
- 47:00he had some response, I had to ask him what
- 47:02he thought about everything I was telling him. Finally, a
- 47:04few seconds later, his reaction to the news sunk in
- 47:08and his only and final reply until many years to
- 47:11come was have a good life. With that statement, he
- 47:16slammed down the phone receiver, leaving only an echo of
- 47:18the dial tone to answer back to. I was too
- 47:21paralyzed from the shocking response. What have I just done?
- 47:25Was the first thing that entered my thoughts. Overwhelmed with guilt,
- 47:28I felt like I was falling down a deep, dark hole,
- 47:31and then the tears began to flood in. Here I
- 47:34was standing at the dawn of a new happy wife.
- 47:35For myself, and I couldn't see past how bad I
- 47:38had let Jeffrey down, not yet seeing the hold he
- 47:41had on me. All right, folks, we're gonna wrap up
- 47:44right here, and we're getting close to the end. So
- 47:47in the next episode, we're gonna pick up where we
- 47:49left off and bring this bad boy to a completion.
- 47:52All of the information that goes with this episode can
- 47:55be found in the description box. What's up, everyone, and
- 47:59welcome to another epilepisode of the Epstein Chronicles. In this episode,
- 48:03we're picking up where he left off with Virginia Robert's
- 48:06memoir The Billionaires Playboy Club. Like my White Knight on
- 48:10a horse, In came my hero to soothe my somberness.
- 48:14He rushed over to the bed where I was beating
- 48:16myself up mentally and wipe the falling tears from my cheeks.
- 48:20I take it that it didn't go so well, huh.
- 48:22Sniffling through my sobs, I managed to tell him that
- 48:25it doesn't matter anymore. All I care about is you
- 48:28and leaving all of that life behind me. I wrapped
- 48:30my arms around him, and he asked me, in a
- 48:33half joking voice, then why are you crying? He got
- 48:36me almost laughing now too. I guess it's just so scary,
- 48:40taking such a huge plunge away from what I'm used
- 48:43to and taking such a big move to another country.
- 48:46It's just all so different, and I'm just trying to
- 48:48comprehend everything that's happening in such a short time. Always
- 48:52out to lift my spirits, his next comments made me
- 48:55gush in laughter. You think that was a hard phone call,
- 48:59Wait until I call my Sicilian mother. Watch this. I
- 49:02know exactly what she'll say. First, it'll be a saga
- 49:05about how I'm killing her with myself as actions. Then
- 49:08it'll be about how she's going to kill herself for
- 49:10doing such a terrible job raising normal children. Don't worry, though,
- 49:14She'll love every second of it. Logs thrive off of
- 49:17the drama in their lives and off everybody else's for
- 49:20that matter. He was pretty much on the dot when
- 49:23he told me how she'd react to the news. In
- 49:26the end, after relentlessly trying to change his mind, she sighed,
- 49:29if it was going to be anybody to do something
- 49:32as crazy as this, Robbie, it would be you. It
- 49:36wasn't a blessing as such, but at least she wasn't
- 49:39threatening suicide any longer, calling the closest of our families
- 49:43that night before our wedding to share with them. The
- 49:45announcement wasn't celebrated by any members of either side, but
- 49:49that didn't discern us one bit. My parents took it well,
- 49:52considering their only daughter was marrying a foreign man that
- 49:56they didn't know from the next guy on the street.
- 49:59And to top it off, I was moving to Australia permanently.
- 50:02When I asked my dad many years later why he
- 50:05hadn't put up a fight, he simply replied that nobody
- 50:07expected it to last very long. Fair Enough, I thought,
- 50:11I don't think anyone did at first, even us at
- 50:14our toughest times. We were a rare attribute. These days
- 50:17in the Namera, we have all been accustomed to living in,
- 50:20turning nothing into something, which I had also come to
- 50:23realize was the most precious gift in my life love.
- 50:28Falling asleep was easy to do in his arms. That night,
- 50:31I laid my head on top of his chest, listening
- 50:33to the drum of his beating heart. I had never
- 50:36felt like I was more at home than ever before
- 50:39in my life. He pulled me gently in closer to him,
- 50:42letting me know that he was there for me even
- 50:45when the lights went out and the thoughts would usually
- 50:47creep in. Amazing how he knew what I needed without
- 50:51even asking for it, wishing for something like this my
- 50:53whole life. I thought I was being such a fool
- 50:56in so many ways, but I was so wrong. The
- 50:59way is pretty Igh looked at me with such an
- 51:01understanding and compassionate sincerity made me want to trust his
- 51:05words and believe the love that he was offering me
- 51:08was indeed real. The next morning, Robbie was up and
- 51:11out of bed early to pick up our tailored wedding
- 51:14suit and dresses for our big day at Deyset Temple.
- 51:18His best friend from high school days that was traveling
- 51:21with him from Australia, met him at the hotel lobby
- 51:23at seven o'clock. He was going to be joining us
- 51:26for the wedding as Robbie's best man. He still hadn't
- 51:28been able to find black shoes to go with the suit,
- 51:31so after he dropped off my dress back to me,
- 51:33he was off again to try and find himself a
- 51:35pair of decent looking ones. Overjoyed with excitement, I was
- 51:38thrilled from the second I kiss Robbie goodbye for the
- 51:41last time before we were officially married. Looking in the
- 51:45same mirror only a week ago, I was now a
- 51:48different person. I felt like I was plunging into a
- 51:50bottomless abyss. Here I go, I thought to myself as
- 51:54I plunged out the door, letting the butterflies of my
- 51:57stomach carry me all the way to my nearly husband.
- 52:01I had to go to the beauticians that morning for
- 52:03my pre wedding makeup and dressing. The ladies who were
- 52:06doing my hair and face at the salon did a
- 52:08great job making me feel so beautiful for my special
- 52:11occasion that every girl dreams about their entire life. Requesting
- 52:15simplicity at best, not wanting to go overboard with all
- 52:18of the wedding apparel, they tied my long hair up
- 52:20into a knot, wrapping it around a veil of flowers
- 52:24made up of baby's breath and small, yellow, purple budding flowers.
- 52:28I could have dreamt it up better myself. And when
- 52:30I met my husband to be at the bottom of
- 52:33the mountain, he stood before me speechless. You look so beautiful,
- 52:38were his first words that his mouth formed almost whispering them.
- 52:42He took my hand and we walked into the skylift together.
- 52:45Behind us followed an interpreter that Robbie hired to translate
- 52:48the Buddhist monks ceremony speech for us to English only speakers,
- 52:52and his best friend, who was only moments before it
- 52:55gave him the best man's speech about being the last
- 52:57chance to walk away from this and not get married
- 53:00to a girl he hardly knew. But my Robbie wouldn't
- 53:03hear a word of it. He already made up his
- 53:05mind the instant he proposed, and I said, yes, I
- 53:09was born to be with this girl. He told his
- 53:11best mate, all right, then let's do this. Then, once
- 53:14he knew that Robbie was sure in his decision, he
- 53:17was more than a static for him. We were slowly
- 53:19lifted up the tremendous mountain side, surrounded by floral green
- 53:23carpet of mossy grass that covered the earthly skyscraper, and
- 53:26falling fog. It was like being carried to Heaven, or
- 53:30the closest thing to it. Taking my eyes off the
- 53:32scenery and catching him adoringly staring at me again, I
- 53:36welled up with unstoppable tears. I am so lucky. Is
- 53:40this really happening? He squeezed my hand and replied back,
- 53:43You're the only one for me. I love you, relieving
- 53:47the anxiety written all over my tear stained face. Getting
- 53:52out of the carriage, we were greeted by good fortune
- 53:54from the gods above. A sun shower cascaded over us.
- 53:57As we advanced into the Hian Holy Temple. My tears
- 54:01of joy dried and my happiness was glowing for all
- 54:04to see. The many visitors to the temple stopped and
- 54:06took photos of the passing bride and groom. No other
- 54:09foreigners had ever been married there, and certainly anyone wearing
- 54:13traditional Western wedding attire. Such a sight had never been
- 54:16seen behind these religious walls. We became a permanent icon
- 54:20at the temple. The ceremony was done in the Buddhist
- 54:23customs according to their ancestral accordance and translated for us
- 54:27in our own language. Both Robbie and I were anointed
- 54:30with a blessing from the monk, with a splash of
- 54:32water and seven sacramental bracelets, each one representing another meaning
- 54:37to the longevity of our union. Together, we signed our
- 54:40names in the Buddhists wedding Registry of deussept Temple and
- 54:43officially became Missus and Missus Roberts, at least officially in
- 54:47our hearts, knowing the laws of Australia only recognized certified weddings,
- 54:51meaning when we got back to his homeland, we'd have
- 54:53to make a run for the courthouse. This was our
- 54:57real wedding, though perfect down to every detail. Waking up
- 55:00to the highest point of the temple, to the balcony
- 55:03hanging over the edge of the cliff side overlooking the
- 55:06city of chang May, we knew we had found the
- 55:09perfect spot to recite our vows of love to each other,
- 55:12providing everything for me and more than I could ever ask.
- 55:15His vows were to love me unconditionally until death do
- 55:18we part, shelter me from all the cruelty in the
- 55:21world that I was so accustomed to, and be like
- 55:24a bear, because the bear never forgets. Tears once again
- 55:28streamed down my eyes as he made this moment unforgettable,
- 55:32wiping the miscaa fading underneath my eyelids, whilst giggling at
- 55:35my embarrassment. I took my hands back into mine again
- 55:38and gave him the vows that were the sacred prepared
- 55:42words from my heart. My ears were thundering the sound
- 55:45of a million horses hoofs descending downhill, and my heart
- 55:48was beating so fast my words barely trembled out of
- 55:51my mouth when I began to tell him how much
- 55:53he had changed my whole life around, and how dedicated
- 55:57my entire being to loving him and only him. Until
- 56:00I blew my final breath, I meant every word of
- 56:03what I said to him. This was it for me,
- 56:06wanting nothing more out of life than to be with
- 56:08someone like him, to raise a few kids together and
- 56:11grow old on the front porch, letting the days fade
- 56:13us by. I know it probably sounds boring to most people,
- 56:17and it would have to me as well many years ago.
- 56:19But after the life I had led, I had enough
- 56:22experience in the real world for my liking, and now
- 56:25all I want is to do to enjoy the remaining
- 56:27days of my life for what it is, a simple
- 56:30and satisfying existence. Our day was so special, not only
- 56:34to us, even to the monk that married us. Upon
- 56:37our descent down the lifts, he asked if he could
- 56:39take a photo with the bride and groom in front
- 56:41of their symbolic liberty bell, signifying the union of East
- 56:45and West. It represented a lot for us too. It
- 56:49was a commencement of a new life together and just
- 56:51the beginning of battling each other's past demons together. Kissing
- 56:55the bridal party goodbye. Who were just the local girls
- 56:58I had met on some of are many nights out
- 57:00having fun. I threw my arranged bouquet of Thailand's white
- 57:04wedding flooras mixed with the colorful orchids to the screaming
- 57:07Thie women behind me, and they were given one last
- 57:10tradition to take with us, the release of cage doves.
- 57:14It was such an incredible gesture, especially for me, symbolizing
- 57:17their freedom as well as mine. I opened the cage
- 57:20door to let them free to decide their own fate.
- 57:23As the wings on the birds began to spread open
- 57:25and they took their final descent into the blue skies,
- 57:28granting themselves freedom, I knew mine had finally come too.
- 57:32The relevance of watching them fly away and how I
- 57:35had perceived my own day of marriage related to the
- 57:37identical feeling of feeling an entrapment of my own kind.
- 57:41I was liberated from the bounds of slavery. I had
- 57:44come to know over many years I had spent with
- 57:46my fair share of greedy, pervert old men, only to
- 57:49have the serendipity mend my scars with the powerful healing
- 57:53of what true love has to endeavor on as customary
- 57:57in the romance novels I have read as a young girl.
- 57:59He piqued me up in the hallway before our hotel
- 58:03suite and carried me over the threshold. Poofy dressed, and
- 58:05all my arms were tightly squeezed around his neck, never
- 58:09once taking my eyes off of him until he revealed
- 58:12yet another sweet surprise. Besides the cleaners tidying up the
- 58:16room while we were going back, they were given instructions
- 58:19by none other than the groom himself to pick up
- 58:21the petals off the stems of red roses to place
- 58:24on our bed in the shape of a giant heart.
- 58:27The rose petals led the way to where we consummated
- 58:30our love physically, and it was undeniably the first time
- 58:33in my life I had ever been made love to.
- 58:36Hours passed by before we thought about anything else besides
- 58:40one another's words of arousal and tantalizing touches and lingering kisses.
- 58:45We had a quiet dinner at a local restaurant and
- 58:47went went straight back into the arms of each other again,
- 58:50so profoundly in love with one another. It was the
- 58:53ideal display of what the honeymoon period should have to
- 58:55show for us. It was crazy, young and energetic, just
- 58:59what it should have been for two blossoming lovers. All right, folks,
- 59:02we're gonna wrap up right here, and in the next
- 59:05episode we're gonna pick up where we left off. All
- 59:07of the information that goes with this episode can be
- 59:09found in the description box. What's up, everyone, and welcome
- 59:13to another episode of the Epstein Chronicles. In this episode,
- 59:17we're gonna get right back to the Virginia Roberts memoir
- 59:20Billionaires Playboy Club. The following morning, we left the Princess Hotel,
- 59:25no longer under any of Jeffrey's financial privileges or control,
- 59:29so to speak, continuing our love spree and another dwelling
- 59:33of our own accord. Three days later, when we finally
- 59:36showed our face for the first time since checking in
- 59:38downstairs in the new hotel lobby. Besides to request fresh
- 59:42sheets and towels, the entire staff of the hotel had
- 59:45a good laugh at our expenditure. From their reaction, it
- 59:48must have been nice to see a couple so affectionately
- 59:51fond of one another. Now we wanted to have another
- 59:54type of fun. Robbie had visited a tourist agent by
- 59:58himself before we got hitched to book a honey room.
- 1:00:01My itinerary for us to explore Thailand and beyond together,
- 1:00:05another surprise he had in store for me. We left
- 1:00:08early in the morning and joined the crowded bus for
- 1:00:11our journey beyond the border of Thailand to a village
- 1:00:14and the war torn nation of Laos. When we got
- 1:00:17through the extremely armored visa office eight hours off the
- 1:00:20beaten path, we then had to cross a flooding river
- 1:00:24from a recent heavy downpour of rain in a slim
- 1:00:26banana boat that looked like it could barely handle our weight,
- 1:00:29let alone the excess of my luggage that Robbie was
- 1:00:32so kind to trek around the world for me. Unbelievably,
- 1:00:36we did make it to the other side, only to
- 1:00:38find that my honeymoon in the tropics wasn't exactly how
- 1:00:41it had been explained to me. Naked children ran through
- 1:00:44the dirty streets with one boy that decided to release
- 1:00:48his bladder on the pathway where we were walking as
- 1:00:51we passed by him on the way to our hotel.
- 1:00:54My doubts of his choice and destinations became apparent after
- 1:00:57that sight. Robbie was getting hungry after we hadn't eaten
- 1:01:01the entire duration of the trip, and being such a
- 1:01:04rugged man he could digest just about anything. Deciding to
- 1:01:08stop on the side of the road, he ordered some
- 1:01:10kind of seafood dish, daring, I thought, settling for some
- 1:01:14toast and jam, something safer, I thought. Then I saw
- 1:01:18the lady behind the counter dip some plates in a
- 1:01:20dirty bucket full of dirty water, and then rinse in
- 1:01:23another bucket of water that didn't look as bad as
- 1:01:26the previous muddrench one, and then further proceeded to put
- 1:01:29my toast and his food on top of them, serving
- 1:01:33it to us all in clear view. I just couldn't
- 1:01:36bring myself to eat that, I mouthed in a hush voice,
- 1:01:40trying to quietly make my point, but was made public
- 1:01:44with the loud mouth outburst of why not looks fine
- 1:01:46to me? You have to try and eat something you
- 1:01:49haven't eaten all day. I know it was just his
- 1:01:51caring side that he was trying to force me. And
- 1:01:54to top it off, he's Sicilian and they're all about eating.
- 1:01:57So it was our first debate, and now we were
- 1:01:59a fit married, with many more marital conflicts to subsequently follow.
- 1:02:05Two headstrong and stubborn people, both both with the best intentions,
- 1:02:09but still recovering from old wounds. It was only natural
- 1:02:13and important that we thought just as much as we
- 1:02:15made passionate love together, countlessly proving to one another the
- 1:02:19true intentions of each other's loves, but sometimes in not
- 1:02:22so seemingly actions. Finally, arriving at the hotel, it was
- 1:02:26like a scene out of a horror flick. We were
- 1:02:29showed up to the room that looked like somebody had
- 1:02:31been brutally killed in The bed sheets were torn apart,
- 1:02:35and the bed was stained with blood from some poor,
- 1:02:38helpless victim. Nearly vomiting at the pure site of my
- 1:02:41room and the stench that accompanied it, I was now
- 1:02:44tearing at the thought of even staying here for a
- 1:02:47single moment longer. No way, I told my new husband,
- 1:02:50and from the tone of my voice he knew I
- 1:02:53was serious, not that I was not denying the fact
- 1:02:56that I had never been an out back type of girl.
- 1:02:58I was fine with that impression. I'm no snob, but
- 1:03:01give me the simple luxuries of a clean bed and
- 1:03:03a shower, then I'll make myself at home. But this
- 1:03:07was just the epitome of filth and even possibly an
- 1:03:09act of a horrendous event. But who knows. The lady
- 1:03:12who showed us to the room seemed fine with it,
- 1:03:15passing it off as a hooker on our period. In
- 1:03:18some ways, that was even worse. Yuck, Okay, Robbie, it's
- 1:03:22time to go now. We were heading back down the
- 1:03:25hill back to the passport center, declaring our passage back
- 1:03:29into Thailand. Considering us a risk due to the short
- 1:03:32time we spent crossing the border and back, the officials
- 1:03:35held us at gunpoint while others rummaged through our luggage
- 1:03:38for drugs or whatnot, Finding nothing, of course, they released
- 1:03:41us and stamped our passports, making us good for another
- 1:03:45three months if we wanted. We were thankful for escaping
- 1:03:49with our lives alone, although we had nothing to hide,
- 1:03:51but still an endearing experience. Nonetheless, in the first days
- 1:03:55of our honeymoon, of all days arriving in Ko Samu,
- 1:04:00we were finally a bit of relaxation in the tropics.
- 1:04:02It was my idea of how a holiday should be, sunny,
- 1:04:05warm and clean, well an ideal way for two strangers
- 1:04:09to properly get acquainted. Dancing into the wee hours of
- 1:04:12the night and making love in the blistering heat of
- 1:04:15the sunny days. We discovered everything on that island, mostly
- 1:04:19being into each other. We made friends of all sorts,
- 1:04:22mostly travelers, but everyone the same in being taken aback
- 1:04:27by our fairytale romance. With our captivated eyes never straying
- 1:04:31too far from one another, anyone could easily see the
- 1:04:34strong chemistry between us. Trying to find the woman in
- 1:04:38me wasn'tdifficult, as I took to the bounds of marriage
- 1:04:41with such ease. No longer a girl, I loved the
- 1:04:44idea of being a wife and belonging to a husband
- 1:04:48like Robbie. Marriage was bliss for the duration of our
- 1:04:51honeymoon until we had to ride coach on our way
- 1:04:53to the Bangkok airport to fly out to Australia, chatting
- 1:04:57away with always so much to say to each other.
- 1:05:00We watched the movie and finally got comfortable leaning up
- 1:05:03against each other as pillows. We both fell asleep on
- 1:05:06the long ride, and when we woke up to the
- 1:05:08sound of the bus's brakes coming to a halt, we
- 1:05:11initially realized my purse and Robbie's wallet, with all of
- 1:05:14our money and cards, were missing. Stranded in the city
- 1:05:18of Bangkok was frightening enough as it was, but to
- 1:05:22make matters worse, a lady looking in her mid seventies,
- 1:05:24scrawny and hunched over from an obvious lack of nutrition,
- 1:05:27lifted up her skirt to a passer by with a
- 1:05:30she mal hanging off his arm, and began smacking her vagina,
- 1:05:33blaring out look, no cock, pussy, pussy only five bought,
- 1:05:38repeating herself many times over. The man just walked on past.
- 1:05:42As she sat back down on the curb waiting for
- 1:05:44the next alluring customer. Robbie and I shook our heads
- 1:05:48in disgusted, in disbelief things could really be that bad
- 1:05:51for someone I would know best, as it wasn't far
- 1:05:54off the life that Jeffrey had been trending me up for.
- 1:05:58Completely broke at two o'clock in the morning, and with
- 1:06:01no one a call for help, I panicked right away.
- 1:06:04Robbie rub my back and his tired eyes, trying to
- 1:06:07make the situation better. Luckily, we had made friends with
- 1:06:10some really nice people from the resort on the island,
- 1:06:13who gave us about two thousand bought when they saw
- 1:06:15how devastated Robbie and I were. With just enough money
- 1:06:19to rent a really cheap room for the night at
- 1:06:21a backpacker's hostel and pay for a taxi to the
- 1:06:23airport the following day, we were saved. Early the next morning,
- 1:06:28we were off in separate planes, since Robbie's ticket was
- 1:06:30pre booked and no available seats left for me to
- 1:06:33join them. Meant we would be landing in Australia separately. Fortunately,
- 1:06:38we had found the corresponding flight that arrived within the
- 1:06:40same hour of each other, but I would have to
- 1:06:43make a stopover in the Philippines. The lengthy hours of
- 1:06:46the duration of the flight seemed to stretch with the
- 1:06:49thoughts of the journey ahead of me. I couldn't wait
- 1:06:52to get back to my husband's loving arms. The trip
- 1:06:55was going well, sleeping the majority of the flight until
- 1:06:57I had to change planes in the Philippines. After the
- 1:07:01plane landed and before any of the passengers were allowed
- 1:07:04to get off. We were handed a declaration statement that
- 1:07:06informed us that if we were carrying any drugs or
- 1:07:09a weaponry, we would be arrested and face charges with
- 1:07:12death as the ultimate penalty. Not that I had anything
- 1:07:16to worry about, but what a thought to willingly sign
- 1:07:19over your life. I got the chills and handing over
- 1:07:23my signed declaration and traveling documents to the customs officer
- 1:07:27obtaining my passport, he additionally asked to see my departing ticket.
- 1:07:30No problem, I thought, I just had done many times,
- 1:07:33and I handed over the required information. The officer looked
- 1:07:37me up and down, and then got on the phone immediately,
- 1:07:40which sounded like a phone call to his superiors, but
- 1:07:43I could tell since it wasn't another language. A brief conversation,
- 1:07:47but long enough to get me thinking. He then called
- 1:07:49over to guards, who took me by the arms and
- 1:07:52brought me into the empty room to be interrogated. No
- 1:07:55one would tell me what was going on, and they
- 1:07:57all scattered around in frenzy, ignoring all of my hysterical inquisitions,
- 1:08:02leaving me by myself and alone with my thoughts. I
- 1:08:05couldn't help a panic even worse now. This was the
- 1:08:08total bombshell of confusion on my part. What had I
- 1:08:11done wrong? Minute later, a large framed woman in a
- 1:08:14green uniform entered the room with the guards from before
- 1:08:17and sat down across from me with a stern look
- 1:08:20in her eye. She placed my documents on my desk
- 1:08:23in between us, not saying a word to me. She
- 1:08:27was waiting for me to give her an explanation about something.
- 1:08:30Can you please tell me what this is about. Have
- 1:08:32I done something wrong? I asked her, politely, trying to
- 1:08:35restrain any animosity towards her. Her reply sounded as grim
- 1:08:39as she looked. You have been in Thailand for three
- 1:08:42months and now you only have a one way ticket
- 1:08:44booked to Australia with no visa. What exactly are your
- 1:08:47plans once you get there, Miss Roberts. To myself, I
- 1:08:52wondered what business it was to her. Don't people travel
- 1:08:55with one way tickets all the time. Knowing I was
- 1:08:58in no position to be able to see anything like that,
- 1:09:01or even at all, I just gave in nicely and
- 1:09:03told her my intentions to travel over there, crying through
- 1:09:07the entire explanation. I wasn't sure if I was even
- 1:09:10going to make my flight. Now she had to think
- 1:09:12about everything I had told her for a moment, deciding
- 1:09:15whether or not she would grant me permission to meet
- 1:09:17my husband in Australia or send me back alone to Bangkok.
- 1:09:21With only time on my side, she had to make
- 1:09:24a hasty verdict. Now one more question had to be
- 1:09:27answered before I was let go. She wanted some proof.
- 1:09:30If you have just got married, can you show me
- 1:09:32your marriage certificate? Then this didn't help my story's credibility
- 1:09:36at all, seeing that we were married in a Buddhist
- 1:09:39temple and given woven bracelets instead of certificates, explaining to
- 1:09:43her that I didn't have one to show her, but
- 1:09:45was already aware that I would have to obtain a
- 1:09:48legal marriage certificate through a courthouse upon my arrival in
- 1:09:51Australia to stay there legally. It was only because of
- 1:09:54my husband's beliefs we wanted to get married in a
- 1:09:57Buddhist ceremony. She must have shared to common interest in
- 1:10:00the religion or something like that, as she finally cracked
- 1:10:03a smile upon the photos of the wedding day that
- 1:10:05I showed her and carrying in my purse since getting
- 1:10:08them developed if she wanted proof, well, this is all
- 1:10:11I really had. Handing me back my documents and ticket,
- 1:10:14I was now free to leave, but she wasn't leaving
- 1:10:17me much time to run through the airport's terminal to
- 1:10:19get to my departing flight. Expeditiously bolting through the busy airport,
- 1:10:24my adrenaline was still pumping from the previous encounter with
- 1:10:26the officials of the Philippines, who had enough power to
- 1:10:30condemn me if they had felt like it. I caught
- 1:10:32my plane in the nick of time, and once I
- 1:10:34was settled in my seat, my thoughts went back to
- 1:10:37my dear Robbie and how much I was missing them.
- 1:10:40I was just relieved that I was on my way
- 1:10:42to be back with them again. Soon, looking out the window,
- 1:10:46I could see the red earth beneath me. As I
- 1:10:48landed for the last time, I took notice of the
- 1:10:52first steps I walked off the plane and onto a
- 1:10:54new soil for the first time. I had so much
- 1:10:57to be looking forward to in my new husband, my heart.
- 1:11:00I knew that this was all I ever wanted. This
- 1:11:03was going to be my heaven. There was another surprise
- 1:11:05in store for me when two elder strangers walked up
- 1:11:08to me and asked my name, are you Jenna? Nodding
- 1:11:11at their question, they gave me their first names and
- 1:11:13wrapped their arms around my neck. My new mother in
- 1:11:16law then said, we are Robbi's parents. We wanted to
- 1:11:19be the first ones who welcomed you to Australia and
- 1:11:21into our family. Yeah, that's an Italian shit right there.
- 1:11:25Just to interject, that is definitely some Sicilian Italian type shit.
- 1:11:29While waiting for Robbie's plane to arrive, we all chatted
- 1:11:33about many things, like the flight over from Thailand and
- 1:11:36the scare at the previous airport in the Philippines. I
- 1:11:39asked them how they knew whom to look for. My
- 1:11:42father in law laughed, saying recognizing me was easy from
- 1:11:45Robbie's detailed description. He told them to look out for
- 1:11:48a petite, young blonde carrying an abundance of luggage. Laughing
- 1:11:52together over a few more brief conversations of getting to
- 1:11:55know each other better, they seem relieved to finally meet me,
- 1:11:58compared how stretch he sounded in the conversations I overheard
- 1:12:02Robbie having with her while in Thailand, watching the arrivals board,
- 1:12:06I knew that Robbie's plane had landed ages ago, but
- 1:12:09was now just waiting for him to get out of customs.
- 1:12:12It didn't bother me anyhow, I was enjoying getting accompanied
- 1:12:15with his parents for the first time. Eventually, I saw
- 1:12:18my husband walking down the runway behind the gates. I
- 1:12:21just couldn't wait a second longer. I ducked underneath the
- 1:12:24gate and ran all the way up the runway to
- 1:12:26jump excitedly into his arms. I wrapped my arms and
- 1:12:29legs around him, holding on to him for dear life.
- 1:12:32I just missed him so much. I knew I would
- 1:12:35never let him go theoretically speaking, that is, and I
- 1:12:38never have nearly a decade later. Over the near decade
- 1:12:43we spent together, Robbie and I have shared common highs
- 1:12:46and lows. That every determined marriage endures. It's taken a
- 1:12:50lot of hard work and doesn't come without its flaws,
- 1:12:53but no matter what, it's just perfect for the two
- 1:12:56of us. He helped me how to remember to smile again,
- 1:12:59and life as slowly began to sort itself out. They
- 1:13:02say that time heals all wounds, but what I had
- 1:13:05experienced in my young years wasn't nearly long enough to
- 1:13:08tell or let all of the hurt go. Seeking help
- 1:13:11through many counselors and psychiatrists. I was doing everything that
- 1:13:15I could to deal with all the scars and all
- 1:13:17the pain that was left behind, completely off of any
- 1:13:20pharmaceuticals since the last day of our honeymoon, and healing
- 1:13:24my heart with love instead of hate. Our marriage is
- 1:13:26my foundation and Robbie is my solid rock. We have
- 1:13:30to be for one another, putting the bonds of our
- 1:13:32union through the ringer and back. As neither of us
- 1:13:35expected my past life eventually to come back and haunt
- 1:13:38me after so long, our blissful life came to a
- 1:13:41sudden halt. One day when we were out visiting my
- 1:13:44in laws at their nearby house on just another plan afternoon,
- 1:13:48there was a knock on the front door, and my
- 1:13:50father in law got up from watching TV on the
- 1:13:52couch to answer it. He rushed back quickly, coming into
- 1:13:56the dining room where I was feeding my nineteen month
- 1:13:58and five month old boys at the table, and he
- 1:14:01blurted out, Jenna, there are three police officers at the
- 1:14:03door asking for you, by the name of Virginia Roberts.
- 1:14:07I asked my mother in law to stay with the
- 1:14:09babies to find out what this was all about. I
- 1:14:12didn't even think it had had anything to do with
- 1:14:14Jeffrey at first, and wasn't even worried. When I opened
- 1:14:16the door to offer them to come inside, they weren't.
- 1:14:20Actually a police officers and two federal agents of Australia
- 1:14:23with one FBI agent from America. The American agent asked
- 1:14:28if I would mind actually coming outside so that I
- 1:14:32may speak with them in private. Okay, I said, as
- 1:14:35well as mentally preparing myself for something big. From the
- 1:14:37look of it, it's not over a parking ticket or
- 1:14:40anything small that you get three federal agents knocking at
- 1:14:44your in law's front door asking to speak to you
- 1:14:46in private? Can we ask you if you are in
- 1:14:49fact missed Virginia Roberts and originally from Palm Beach County
- 1:14:52in the United States. I confirm my name and previous
- 1:14:55state of residence. Then they even asked, may we see
- 1:14:58some identification please. A different agent asked the question this time,
- 1:15:02and I told them I will have to go and
- 1:15:04grab it. My purse is inside. I'll be just one second.
- 1:15:08Robbie was standing on the other side of the door,
- 1:15:10trying to figure out what they were doing here talking
- 1:15:12to me, And when I rushed through it to grab
- 1:15:15my purse and saw him standing there looking puzzled, I
- 1:15:17told him I had no idea what it was about yet,
- 1:15:20but not to worry. Everything was going to be just fine.
- 1:15:23Taking a deep breath and slowly exhaling outward, I opened
- 1:15:27the door to find out exactly what the agents wanted
- 1:15:30to talk about. Pulling out my Australian driver's license from
- 1:15:34my wallet, I was going to hand it over to them,
- 1:15:36but they sufficed at a quick glance this was no
- 1:15:40meet and greed, and they went straight to the point.
- 1:15:42One agent picked up a briefcase off the floor and
- 1:15:45opened it up, taking out a stable stack of paper.
- 1:15:48Then the same agent asked me if I had ever
- 1:15:51known an affiliate by the name of Jeffrey Epstein. All
- 1:15:54of a sudden, my stomach tangled in a familiar not
- 1:15:57that I hadn't felt in many years from my past life,
- 1:16:00life that I was trying to forget about. I nodded
- 1:16:03an affirmation of their question and said, yes, it was
- 1:16:06a long time ago, and he's no longer an affiliate
- 1:16:09of mine, but yes I did know him once, it
- 1:16:11was shameful enough to think about, let alone talk about
- 1:16:14with them for the first time since I had started
- 1:16:17my entire life over His next response left me nothing
- 1:16:20short of speechless. The United States Attorney's Office for the
- 1:16:24District of Florida was giving me a notification of being
- 1:16:27an identified victim. Jeffrey was finally caught for his atrocious
- 1:16:31acts of perversion on girls who were barely old enough
- 1:16:34to even comprehend the birds and the bees, so to speak.
- 1:16:38On June thirtieth, two thousand and eight, Jeffrey Epstein pleaded
- 1:16:41guilty for a procurement of minords to engage in and
- 1:16:45solicitation of prostitution. More than a dozen girls had been
- 1:16:50named as victims of Jeffrey's federal offenses, and without ever
- 1:16:54stepping a day in court, he was granted a plea bargain,
- 1:16:57consenting to charges that named him a regis stirred pedophile
- 1:17:01for only two of the minor girls, getting away with
- 1:17:05even serving only twelve of the sentenced eighteen months behind bars,
- 1:17:09be that in the evening alone and in the morning.
- 1:17:11He was released during the day, restricted to the confinement
- 1:17:15of his lavish mansion in Palm Beach, only to be
- 1:17:19with his original sex slaves from over ten years ago,
- 1:17:22Nadia Marsenkova and Sarah Kellen, and knowing Jeffrey all too well,
- 1:17:26they wouldn't be the only ones while he was pulling
- 1:17:29his laughing stint of retribution. Even at nighttime, the girls
- 1:17:33were still allowed to visit him, accounting to nearly seventy
- 1:17:36times while serving his time in incarceration. No justice had
- 1:17:41been served for any of us, victims, denied the very
- 1:17:44constitutional rights allegedly there to protect and serve us. We
- 1:17:47weren't allowed to have a voice in front of a
- 1:17:49jury and a judge even informed for that matter. Instead,
- 1:17:54we were handed this notification of being a victim, but
- 1:17:57told we were all too late to do anything about it.
- 1:18:00To make matters worse, part of the plea bargain was
- 1:18:03that we had the option to sue him with the
- 1:18:05lawyers he provided for us, and conveniently enough I found
- 1:18:09out later that they were also his lawyer's old friends
- 1:18:12from college days. I felt my knees go weak, and
- 1:18:15the anxiety churning in my stomach was now making me
- 1:18:18feel sick. Taking the bundle of paperwork from the agent
- 1:18:22who was now handing it over to me. I had
- 1:18:24to excuse myself before my legs actually buckled, closing the
- 1:18:28door behind me. I couldn't even find the words to
- 1:18:31tell my husband what was going on. I rushed to
- 1:18:34the back of the house and went to the backyard,
- 1:18:36where I wanted a minute to compose myself and process
- 1:18:39the information I had just been told. Robbie followed behind me,
- 1:18:43but the stillness in my eyes convinced him to give
- 1:18:46me that moment to compile my emotions. A few moments
- 1:18:49later and I was ready to talk, collapsing into his
- 1:18:52arms with such anguish. He just held me until the
- 1:18:55sobs subsided and I was able to tell him what
- 1:18:58actually happened. Star With an apology, I began to tell
- 1:19:01him how I was so sorry, but my trouble passed
- 1:19:04has come back, the plague our simple, sweet lives and
- 1:19:08was just about to turn it all upside down. He
- 1:19:11was so understanding from the beginning of all this, telling
- 1:19:14me that he will always be behind me every choice
- 1:19:16that I make in mending the sorrows of my tormenting past,
- 1:19:20and that there has been and he has been through
- 1:19:22all of the thick and thin deciding to call the
- 1:19:25lawyers on the victim suit provided for me was a
- 1:19:28big decision, but one that I had to seek the
- 1:19:30unanswered questions from my battered heart. The two women at
- 1:19:33the firm that I spoke to treated me so wonderfully
- 1:19:36like long term friends. They counseled me not only in
- 1:19:39the terms of a lawsuit towards Jeffrey, but also in
- 1:19:42the matters of being emotionally and sexually abused. I chose
- 1:19:46to proceed with the lawsuit at least to make a
- 1:19:48statement to a man that tried to make a degrading
- 1:19:51statement about me so long ago. Now it was my turn.
- 1:19:55I had the choice to turn the tables on him,
- 1:19:57hoping he would feel embarrassed and in the spotlight for
- 1:20:00everyone's entertainment, where he had kept me for so many years.
- 1:20:05Winning my lawsuit against him was not enough to heal
- 1:20:07old wounds. I'd never got the chance to stand up
- 1:20:09in front of a jury and tell them how much
- 1:20:11pain I had endured and still endure throughout the many
- 1:20:15nightmares I face when darkness hits and the silence of
- 1:20:18sleeping household fills my head with pictures overliving my past
- 1:20:22with him, or the others he sent me to, or
- 1:20:26did I even get to hear him confess his guilt
- 1:20:28and suffer the way I did, locked in confinement for
- 1:20:31many years. No, Instead, I got to see a picture
- 1:20:34of Jeffrey with his arms around a very youthful looking teenager,
- 1:20:38if even that, parading the streets of New York, the
- 1:20:41very way he had with me and so many girls
- 1:20:43long before, as if it were a public display intended
- 1:20:47for not only as many victims to see, but also
- 1:20:49a spectacle for the public justice system. It was a
- 1:20:52bold show of insolence, laughing in our faces while we
- 1:20:55all sat by, not being able to do anything to
- 1:20:58help these young girls from the streets, still stuffering this
- 1:21:02perverted affliction. Not much longer, there was another story on Jeffrey.
- 1:21:06I saw in the papers of him and Prince Andrew
- 1:21:09having a stroll together in Central Park. It instantly sparked
- 1:21:13my concern for other girls in the very same position
- 1:21:16I was in so long ago, and he was obviously
- 1:21:18up to the same old tricks. I had to do
- 1:21:21something now, Not being able to sit by any longer
- 1:21:24with the knowledge of being able to help out in
- 1:21:26some way, I had to tell my story no matter
- 1:21:29how shameful it was to even speak about putting my
- 1:21:32sham aside. I had to derive every bit of courage
- 1:21:35I could sustain, and now I'm ready to tell it
- 1:21:38the hardest lesson I had failed. That learning until later
- 1:21:40on in my life, became my strength, the belief in
- 1:21:43my inner voice and the ability to speak up. I
- 1:21:46do have a voice, and now the world is going
- 1:21:49to hear it in my whispered cries for justice swept
- 1:21:52away by a surge of media. With one phone call,
- 1:21:55I sent Jeffrey's publicist into a frenzy not to mention
- 1:21:58the release of the photo showing the first night that
- 1:22:01Prince Andrew and I shared together that I so happened
- 1:22:04to unveil for the public to see. I spent too
- 1:22:07much of my life going out of my mind, waiting
- 1:22:10for rescue that never came until it was too late,
- 1:22:13and then the scars were already embedded deeply within. Thankfully,
- 1:22:17I am now free from the struggles that nearly destroyed
- 1:22:20the love inside of my heart. I only wish it
- 1:22:22could be the same for the other victims, not just
- 1:22:25for Jeffrey's inflictions, but every person who has ever suffered
- 1:22:28at the hands of another. I'm here to tell you
- 1:22:31from my own experience that the moon is yours. If
- 1:22:34that's all you want, all you have to do is
- 1:22:36stand up and take it. If some girl off the
- 1:22:38streets of Florida like me can stand up against the
- 1:22:41tyrants that run the deep pockets of our world, then
- 1:22:44anyone can. Just like I needed to believe that something
- 1:22:47or someone stood up for me once, like Robbie did
- 1:22:50long ago, I now stand up for us. For all
- 1:22:53of the girls, the ones who are still on the
- 1:22:55streets and think that they don't deserve better, or it's
- 1:22:58an unachievable dream to be entitled to more out of life.
- 1:23:02For all of the beautiful girls who don't see beyond
- 1:23:04their outside appearance, For all the girls still trapped in
- 1:23:07enslavement and unable to get out of the abuse that
- 1:23:10holds them down. But most of all, I stand up
- 1:23:13for every girl's belief in love, because it's the very
- 1:23:16savior of my spirit and soul. The end, All right, folks, Well,
- 1:23:21that brings us to the conclusion of Virginia Roberts memoir
- 1:23:25The Billionaires Playboy Club. And now that we have this
- 1:23:28added to the catalog. We're gonna finish off the Acosta
- 1:23:31deposition and then we're gonna move on to the Nadia
- 1:23:34Marson COVID deposition, and you definitely don't want to miss that.
