- 1:18Speaker 4: How you doing today?
- 1:20Speaker 5: Carries what he does?
- 1:23Speaker 4: Not do that. I would like to know how everybody's doing.
- 1:27Speaker 4: Ching check today. We got some headlines for you. We're
- 1:32Speaker 4: going to talk about rent a human, which kind of
- 1:34Speaker 4: freaks me out. We got this week in audio as well.
- 1:37Speaker 4: And Gina, you had some questions.
- 1:39Speaker 6: Yeah, I have a couple of questions. I want to
- 1:40Speaker 6: take the temperature of the room. I want you to
- 1:43Speaker 6: text in about this agree or disagree, so on threads,
- 1:46Speaker 6: which is like something I kind of acknowledge but not
- 1:49Speaker 6: really you know, like the side I.
- 1:51Speaker 4: Keep getting ads for that when they say, hey, your
- 1:53Speaker 4: friends are on threads. Do you want to turn them?
- 1:55Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 1:55Speaker 10: So basically it's a Twitter that's built into Instagram.
- 1:59Speaker 6: Yeah, so I have it. I don't do much with it,
- 2:01Speaker 6: but I always get suggested like content and sometimes I'm
- 2:03Speaker 6: like interesting. So, yes, we're all sick of the phrase boomer.
- 2:08Speaker 6: These are quote unquote boomer complaints, which again boomers are
- 2:12Speaker 6: like people in their forties parents, but we're just gonna
- 2:14Speaker 6: say in general, these are boomer complaints. Now, a lot
- 2:18Speaker 6: of these I agree with, and I want to see
- 2:20Speaker 6: if you guys agree this. I have ten of them,
- 2:22Speaker 6: and I want to just do a little bit of
- 2:24Speaker 6: a a little bit of a check the room raptifier
- 2:26Speaker 6: and say, are they onto something or are they just
- 2:28Speaker 6: being you know, a little bitches sore? Disagree, agreer disagree.
- 2:32Speaker 6: Number one, A television series should have twenty to twenty
- 2:35Speaker 6: five episodes per season and be putting out one season
- 2:38Speaker 6: per year. I'm sick of this eight episodes every three years.
- 2:41Speaker 6: Business agree disagree?
- 2:44Speaker 10: Oh you want to have like a break of two
- 2:47Speaker 10: years in between.
- 2:48Speaker 11: I mean, I don't want it, but I do like
- 2:50Speaker 11: shorter seasons.
- 2:51Speaker 12: We talked about this the other day, Like the British shows,
- 2:53Speaker 12: they're just better made.
- 2:54Speaker 6: Because you don't want to because just don't have all
- 2:56Speaker 6: this filler stiller and the flower.
- 2:57Speaker 8: Yeah, I think there's two parts is yes, I don't
- 2:59Speaker 8: like the three year gap gap right at the same time,
- 3:04Speaker 8: the only reason they had twenty three episodes a year
- 3:08Speaker 8: is just because they had time to fill.
- 3:09Speaker 3: You know.
- 3:10Speaker 7: It's sort of the reason why we have a four
- 3:12Speaker 7: hour radio shit.
- 3:15Speaker 6: Somebody who is currently rewatching Lost, I can tell you
- 3:19Speaker 6: the filler and the lack of plot goes off the
- 3:23Speaker 6: rails for like four episode.
- 3:25Speaker 8: For folks who the younger gen Z types like myself,
- 3:28Speaker 8: we don't realize get it yet. We don't realize that
- 3:31Speaker 8: for the up until you know, HBO really changed things.
- 3:35Speaker 8: In the early two thousands, TV was largely panned and
- 3:38Speaker 8: thought of as a lesser art form. It's it's I
- 3:42Speaker 8: would say, maybe as.
- 3:43Speaker 7: Or even more important movies.
- 3:45Speaker 10: I don't go on the amount of episodes, it can
- 3:47Speaker 10: be whatever, but the breaks in between absolutely hate because
- 3:50Speaker 10: I don't even remember that ye have.
- 3:53Speaker 11: To wait three years if there's only ten episodes.
- 3:56Speaker 10: Also, some shows people be dying, dying, you know in
- 4:00Speaker 10: real life.
- 4:01Speaker 8: You know, well Morgan, you say that, but then things
- 4:03Speaker 8: like Game of Thrones or Curby your enthusiasm will put
- 4:06Speaker 8: out there eight or ten episodes.
- 4:07Speaker 7: Then it'll be two years.
- 4:08Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 4:08Speaker 12: Yeah, I'm Game of Thrones a stupid I like the
- 4:11Speaker 12: longer seasons.
- 4:12Speaker 13: I want the twenty five episodes.
- 4:14Speaker 14: I hate that I am enjoying a show so much
- 4:16Speaker 14: and then it's over within a day because I already
- 4:18Speaker 14: watched all the episodes.
- 4:19Speaker 6: Yeah, if you're binging, it's a big problem.
- 4:22Speaker 4: Especially nowadays with streaming like Heated rob Rivalry for example.
- 4:26Speaker 4: You watch that and I thought, wait, that was the
- 4:28Speaker 4: last episode of the season. Oh really it was only
- 4:31Speaker 4: I think five? Maybe I just saw like three Wieners.
- 4:34Speaker 4: Yeah for more hardcore.
- 4:39Speaker 6: Hockey se Okay, well let's move on, because boy do
- 4:42Speaker 6: I agree with this, And I don't think anyone's gonna
- 4:44Speaker 6: be shocked because it involves tech that is too complicated
- 4:46Speaker 6: for me. Uh sobd He says, I'm not using the
- 4:49Speaker 6: Kiosk to order food. Take my damn order in person.
- 4:52Speaker 6: I have never once done the McDonald's kiosk correctly, I
- 4:56Speaker 6: hate it. I don't know how to do it. I
- 4:58Speaker 6: feel like my my hand doesn't even register, Like the
- 5:01Speaker 6: monitor doesn't even know I'm real, you know.
- 5:04Speaker 4: Yeah, I would prefer human. I would prefer parking and
- 5:07Speaker 4: going in over a drive through.
- 5:09Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 5:10Speaker 4: I feel like that's.
- 5:11Speaker 10: Faster the kiosk all day, Like I've mastered the kiosks
- 5:15Speaker 10: and I can whip right through it. The only thing
- 5:17Speaker 10: is they're bringing that hole. Would you like to make
- 5:20Speaker 10: a donation thing and.
- 5:23Speaker 7: To the kiosk? Yeah, And I'm like, I don't want
- 5:26Speaker 7: that dog. Where's the skipp I mentioned this?
- 5:28Speaker 8: Yeah, the airport gets you know, get a SODI now?
- 5:32Speaker 8: Is six or seven steps?
- 5:34Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 5:35Speaker 7: It's how many bags you want to do?
- 5:37Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 5:38Speaker 4: Do you have a.
- 5:40Speaker 15: Yeah?
- 5:40Speaker 7: Like what the hell?
- 5:42Speaker 4: Counterproductive?
- 5:43Speaker 10: And I've told you I've run into this issue recently
- 5:46Speaker 10: with the airpot airport kiosks, which I do love.
- 5:49Speaker 7: But added to what he just said, the.
- 5:53Speaker 10: Workers that are just walking around in the store now
- 5:55Speaker 10: they walk up to you and like help me with
- 5:57Speaker 10: the kiosks, Like, no, I don't need help, man, like
- 5:59Speaker 10: you you're slowing down my process.
- 6:02Speaker 6: Of getting through the GI That's why I'm standing in
- 6:03Speaker 6: your computer and not the cash. Ready.
- 6:05Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm a I'm a young gen z or just.
- 6:08Speaker 6: Like I basically Jen Alpha, and I know how.
- 6:11Speaker 7: To use a computer.
- 6:12Speaker 8: But like, how about all the olds let's going to
- 6:15Speaker 8: like the restaurant kiosks.
- 6:17Speaker 6: I find them to be I think delightful.
- 6:20Speaker 8: I think they're they're fifty to fifty because it gives
- 6:22Speaker 8: me more time if I and I can like customize
- 6:24Speaker 8: things and stuff like that.
- 6:25Speaker 6: But yeah, they do have like I don't want to
- 6:27Speaker 6: sign in with my McDonald's.
- 6:28Speaker 4: Yes, Well how about this?
- 6:30Speaker 10: What about if you're at a really classy sit down
- 6:32Speaker 10: restaurant and they have a little mini kiosk on your table?
- 6:36Speaker 11: Okay, I love that too.
- 6:38Speaker 6: Yes, at like the fast casual. Yeah, and then they
- 6:42Speaker 6: have games on it?
- 6:42Speaker 7: All right?
- 6:43Speaker 6: This one, if Greg, this is this has you written
- 6:47Speaker 6: all over it, because I believe you've bitched about this
- 6:49Speaker 6: multiple times. I should not have to rent or buy
- 6:52Speaker 6: a movie on Prime when I'm already paying for the subscription.
- 6:57Speaker 4: Well, I bought things on Prime so that it's always there,
- 7:01Speaker 4: because movies don't live on there forever.
- 7:04Speaker 6: Right, But I thought this would be more like you
- 7:06Speaker 6: on a flight, Like I already paid to get on
- 7:08Speaker 6: the plane. Why am I paying for a seat like
- 7:10Speaker 6: I already paid for the subscription? Why am I paying again?
- 7:12Speaker 6: All a cart style?
- 7:13Speaker 4: For some reason, I find this to be different than
- 7:16Speaker 4: a flight. I agree, what you book a flight and
- 7:18Speaker 4: then they email you, oh, now it's time to pick
- 7:21Speaker 4: your seat. If it wasn't a seat on a plane exactly, but.
- 7:26Speaker 8: This one speaking of what you remember when you used
- 7:28Speaker 8: to have to pay for movies on planes?
- 7:30Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 7:32Speaker 6: Remember? Does anybody else remember the phone in the head rest?
- 7:36Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 7:38Speaker 6: You slide your credit card through it to use it.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Oh the phone phone?
- 7:41Speaker 14: I thought you're talking about how they have you put
- 7:43Speaker 14: your phone upmore an actual ring ring.
- 7:46Speaker 8: Hello, which is so obnoxious because they go out of
- 7:49Speaker 8: their way now to tell you you cannot take calls
- 7:52Speaker 8: phone or video calls. Ast FA regulations, I believe, But
- 7:56Speaker 8: they used to.
- 7:56Speaker 7: They used to encourage it.
- 7:57Speaker 6: They did charge a fifty exactly. That's why. All right,
- 8:00Speaker 6: here's one I gave you my resume. Why am I
- 8:03Speaker 6: filling in boxes about my work history online? I totally
- 8:07Speaker 6: agree with that. It's like you have a resume, you
- 8:09Speaker 6: spend all this time on it, and then you go
- 8:12Speaker 6: through the same thing when you're filling out an application,
- 8:14Speaker 6: you put it all in again, right, Yeah.
- 8:16Speaker 10: I just don't believe that they even read any of
- 8:19Speaker 10: that stuff anymore.
- 8:20Speaker 6: I don't think so the resume or the.
- 8:22Speaker 10: Resume or the application applications.
- 8:26Speaker 11: Every time I applied for a job, I just feel like,
- 8:27Speaker 11: go straight in the trash.
- 8:28Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 8:29Speaker 7: Yeah, they do that at doctor's offices too.
- 8:31Speaker 4: Before you go in, you're supposed to fill out the
- 8:33Speaker 4: template thing, and then you go in and they still have.
- 8:36Speaker 7: To ask you all already have Let's not skip over
- 8:38Speaker 7: what we just heard there. Every time I apply for
- 8:41Speaker 7: a job, Morgan, Morgan, are you blind?
- 8:43Speaker 11: I've been saying I need money?
- 8:45Speaker 7: What are you doing selling feet stuff?
- 8:48Speaker 16: Oh?
- 8:48Speaker 11: I saw another pair of socks yesterday?
- 8:51Speaker 6: And did we make did we make sure that the
- 8:54Speaker 6: price was right?
- 8:55Speaker 3: We didn't.
- 8:58Speaker 11: Standard?
- 8:58Speaker 6: Okay, girl, you do you man? You take care of business.
- 9:01Speaker 10: Yeah, it's all about who you know, network is your
- 9:04Speaker 10: net worth? And then also, uh, it's just where are
- 9:08Speaker 10: the people that go find jobs for you? Well, no,
- 9:11Speaker 10: there's another recruiters, recruiter.
- 9:14Speaker 12: But then don't they take like twenty percent of your
- 9:16Speaker 12: salary once you get the job.
- 9:17Speaker 6: No recruiters, No, I think they have the deal with
- 9:20Speaker 6: the company. Yeah, theyshed with recruit Yeah.
- 9:24Speaker 7: Recruiters are the ish.
- 9:26Speaker 6: All right. Well, hey, remember the good old days when
- 9:28Speaker 6: you bought a phone and it came with a charging
- 9:30Speaker 6: cable and the brick and the headphones. Somebody, and I'm
- 9:34Speaker 6: with them, would really like to bring that back. You
- 9:36Speaker 6: get nothing now, well, I don't know. Maybe you see
- 9:39Speaker 6: bass and his android's surprised.
- 9:41Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 9:41Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:41Speaker 6: Now the companies they're saying it's their reducing waste. Yeah,
- 9:44Speaker 6: because when you got a phone, it cass.
- 9:46Speaker 12: You're right, because I got one a couple months ago
- 9:48Speaker 12: and I had to buy a separate package that had
- 9:50Speaker 12: all of that other crap in it.
- 9:51Speaker 6: It's complete bullish.
- 9:53Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 9:54Speaker 6: Uh, this one says, I don't. I totally agree. I
- 9:57Speaker 6: don't need my appliances to be that smart. The dumb
- 9:59Speaker 6: ones actually work. Bat I agree that talk to me
- 10:01Speaker 6: just toast my bread?
- 10:02Speaker 10: No, I wanted to have all the options. I want
- 10:06Speaker 10: to be able to, like toast my bread from my bed.
- 10:10Speaker 10: Let's talk about your fridge, menace. So you have a
- 10:12Speaker 10: your fridge has a TV and then the Alexa and
- 10:18Speaker 10: my calendar and then photos.
- 10:20Speaker 6: Of my dog that can put on it, and it.
- 10:22Speaker 10: Tells you when you need milk, Yeah, in the fridge
- 10:24Speaker 10: through the camera.
- 10:26Speaker 6: That kind of what platform, Like you would you say TV?
- 10:28Speaker 6: Was it like Amazon?
- 10:29Speaker 10: Or it's a Samsung. It's a Samsung fridge, so has
- 10:34Speaker 10: like Samsung TV. But it has like all the channels
- 10:37Speaker 10: on that. So you open apps within like you'd open
- 10:39Speaker 10: Netflix within your.
- 10:41Speaker 7: You know, I don't have Netflix.
- 10:42Speaker 6: There's a lot of YouTube going on it, Like we
- 10:45Speaker 6: have to tell kids to get away from the fridge,
- 10:47Speaker 6: like stop watching the fridge. Yeah, yeah, it absolutely.
- 10:52Speaker 10: Oh and then you can stream the Woody Show podcasts
- 10:55Speaker 10: on it. iHeartRadio app exactly.
- 10:58Speaker 4: I just think if you have a washer and dryer
- 11:00Speaker 4: and it's hooked up to your like it's connected to
- 11:02Speaker 4: your app, and it tells you when your laundry is done,
- 11:04Speaker 4: Like if you're that ignorant and naive and move.
- 11:08Speaker 10: Everybody lives in a micro apartment like you Greg, like
- 11:11Speaker 10: we might be on the West End.
- 11:16Speaker 3: Is done.
- 11:16Speaker 7: I forgot how long?
- 11:18Speaker 4: Yeah, because we don't know how long time is.
- 11:21Speaker 6: You can't hear a buzzer, all right, what about I
- 11:25Speaker 6: actually hadn't thought about this. Why are the headlights and
- 11:28Speaker 6: cars getting so damn bright on every new car?
- 11:30Speaker 11: Ohther xenon lights or something. There's a specific type of
- 11:34Speaker 11: light Okay.
- 11:36Speaker 4: I haven't noticed.
- 11:37Speaker 11: I disagree with and they're kind of blue ey're less?
- 11:39Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, you're right. This one says, for the love
- 11:42Speaker 6: of God, will someone regulate the damn sound on TV
- 11:45Speaker 6: shows and movies?
- 11:46Speaker 8: Like we talked about that recently. That's the thing. There
- 11:48Speaker 8: is a there has been an act, the Calm Act
- 11:52Speaker 8: or whatever.
- 11:52Speaker 10: It was, Yeah, because they would make the ads TV. Yeah,
- 11:57Speaker 10: and then there's so much balance with the audio. And
- 12:01Speaker 10: this has been a thing since twenty twelve.
- 12:03Speaker 6: Well, and it's not just the sound, remember because I
- 12:06Speaker 6: thought my TV was on the Friends where I was
- 12:08Speaker 6: going blind. Everyone everyone was complaining about the last episode
- 12:10Speaker 6: of Game of Thrones, how things are getting darker. It's
- 12:13Speaker 6: hard to GE's physically.
- 12:14Speaker 7: Hard to show natural.
- 12:17Speaker 10: That's why I natural lighting issue that's been happening with
- 12:21Speaker 10: like the Walking Dead, And I.
- 12:21Speaker 8: Will say, well, this does apply is on like pot
- 12:25Speaker 8: for one podcast Menace, but also YouTube videos so like
- 12:28Speaker 8: you all my like for instance, Card Knarks videos, they're
- 12:31Speaker 8: they're at max volume, they are normalized to the top
- 12:34Speaker 8: to peak. But then I'll click from that to a
- 12:37Speaker 8: different video and it'll be Yeah.
- 12:39Speaker 7: It's terrible.
- 12:40Speaker 10: All all the podcasting world, dude, people do not know
- 12:43Speaker 10: how to record commercials or make commercials because the podcast
- 12:46Speaker 10: will be at an awesome level and then they get
- 12:49Speaker 10: to the commercial and it's just like you can.
- 12:51Speaker 7: Not even hear it. No one's you know, check in quality. Yeah, no,
- 12:54Speaker 7: no at all.
- 12:55Speaker 6: Well there's two more in there, both about manners, so uh,
- 12:58Speaker 6: definitely curious to see what you think the Being from
- 13:01Speaker 6: the Midwest, I couldn't agree more. And I always do
- 13:03Speaker 6: it in reverse. If I let you merge into traffic,
- 13:06Speaker 6: I better get my little wave, I better get my
- 13:09Speaker 6: thank you wave, agree, and I always do. There's nothing
- 13:12Speaker 6: not that big of a deal A quick wave thank
- 13:14Speaker 6: you yep. And finally, when I walk up in your establishment,
- 13:17Speaker 6: you better greet me or at least acknowledge that I exist.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, bitch.
- 13:22Speaker 14: I walked into a place yesterday to get food to order.
- 13:25Speaker 14: Not only was there nobody there getting food, I.
- 13:27Speaker 13: Didn't see an employee in sight, so I just walked out.
- 13:29Speaker 14: There was no one at the register, there was no
- 13:31Speaker 14: one I could order with, and so how long I
- 13:33Speaker 14: am going to stick around for and expect that the
- 13:34Speaker 14: food is going to be good?
- 13:36Speaker 6: That's a really good point. Maybe they're busy toiling over
- 13:38Speaker 6: the food and that.
- 13:39Speaker 4: Yeah, So why do all these businesses hate money?
- 13:44Speaker 7: All right?
- 13:44Speaker 6: Well, I'm glad we got that figured out, and I'm
- 13:46Speaker 6: glad you guys told us if you agree or disagree,
- 13:48Speaker 6: because I think most of these are pretty spawn on.
- 13:51Speaker 4: Boomers like to complain. Well, that too, unlike myself. That's right,
- 13:54Speaker 4: we got more a Woody show coming up next. Don't
- 13:56Speaker 4: go anywhere.
- 13:58Speaker 7: The wood Show will be right back. What's up, podcast listeners?
- 14:01Speaker 7: It's menace.
- 14:01Speaker 10: Do you remember when I walked forty miles in one
- 14:04Speaker 10: day and you watched it live on the internet. I
- 14:07Speaker 10: did that with mint Mobile. Yeah, every single phone that
- 14:11Speaker 10: was streaming that day, I was using the mint Mobile network.
- 14:14Speaker 10: And the reason I did that is because I paid
- 14:17Speaker 10: for every phone myself and I needed a reliable network.
- 14:20Speaker 10: But also I didn't want to break the bank. You know,
- 14:23Speaker 10: you can get unlimited for fifteen bucks a month. Look
- 14:26Speaker 10: at your phone bill right now, and I'm sure maybe
- 14:29Speaker 10: you might be paying for somebody else as well, and
- 14:31Speaker 10: you might think, oh, it's just too hard to switch. No,
- 14:34Speaker 10: it's not. You can easily do it online. They'll show
- 14:36Speaker 10: you how to do it. Why pay all that money?
- 14:38Speaker 10: Check out how much you can save at this special
- 14:40Speaker 10: website mint mobile dot com, slash Woody. That's mintmobile dot
- 14:46Speaker 10: com slash Woody. Just compare what you'll get for what
- 14:50Speaker 10: you're paying now mintmobile dot com, slash Woody.
- 14:54Speaker 2: A Woody Show.
- 14:57Speaker 4: It's a Thursday morning on the Woodie Show. Welcome back
- 15:00Speaker 4: to it. Yeah, I'm gonna take a look at a
- 15:02Speaker 4: few entertainment related items. I wanted to start though, because
- 15:05Speaker 4: I thought this was surprising and I feel like they
- 15:08Speaker 4: always have the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee
- 15:11Speaker 4: nominations coming out like it just seems like it's a
- 15:14Speaker 4: year round thing. But this time around, Yeah, ongoing thinking
- 15:17Speaker 4: that is for the first time ever as a solo artist,
- 15:20Speaker 4: Phil Collins has been nominated for the Rock and Roll Holidays.
- 15:23Speaker 4: He do? What did he do?
- 15:27Speaker 6: I had the same question, Yeah, you just faded away
- 15:29Speaker 6: into nothing.
- 15:29Speaker 15: No.
- 15:30Speaker 10: I always think like, Okay, Phil Collins, I know him
- 15:32Speaker 10: as solo artists, but I totally forget.
- 15:34Speaker 7: What in the air tonight was a solo Phil Collins.
- 15:38Speaker 6: Right, and all the all the songs from Tarzan, So
- 15:42Speaker 6: that's what I know.
- 15:44Speaker 4: I always forget that he was in Genesis but no Genesis.
- 15:47Speaker 6: No Jacket required.
- 15:49Speaker 8: Fun fact, he is one of only three musicians Paul
- 15:52Speaker 8: McCartney Michael Jackson being the other two to sell over
- 15:54Speaker 8: one hundred million records in both a group and as
- 15:57Speaker 8: a solo.
- 16:00Speaker 7: Sounds deserved.
- 16:01Speaker 4: Yeah, another fun fact, Phil Collins, No Jacket Required. Look,
- 16:04Speaker 4: the first thing I ever bought on CD. Oh my god,
- 16:08Speaker 4: I love that album. And then for the third time nominated.
- 16:12Speaker 4: I think this band is mega overrated Oasis.
- 16:15Speaker 6: I think I've made my feelings clear that I couldn't
- 16:19Speaker 6: agree more.
- 16:20Speaker 8: Rules, Greg, I understand why you would say that, but
- 16:23Speaker 8: just having gotten to the tour last year, they their
- 16:27Speaker 8: fans are completely like over the top, Yeah, you know,
- 16:31Speaker 8: like the worst. I assume Taylor Swift level, like if
- 16:33Speaker 8: Taylor Swift could be channeled into forty five year old
- 16:36Speaker 8: British guys.
- 16:38Speaker 7: Yeah, and I will.
- 16:39Speaker 6: Give them this though. When I've heard people cover their songs,
- 16:42Speaker 6: I suddenly like the song, so I think it is
- 16:44Speaker 6: personal maybe.
- 16:45Speaker 4: And then Mariah Carey, apparently for the third time other
- 16:47Speaker 4: nominees this time around Jeff Buckley in Excess, Melissa Ethridge,
- 16:51Speaker 4: Wu Tang Clan, Luther Vandros, Lauren Hill, Shakira and Pink
- 16:55Speaker 4: and then nominated before and now again not necessarily three times.
- 16:59Speaker 4: Black Crow was Billy Idol, Iron Maiden and Joy Division
- 17:03Speaker 4: Slash New Orders.
- 17:04Speaker 6: When does that just get embarrassing where you just keep
- 17:06Speaker 6: getting nominated?
- 17:07Speaker 4: I don't think it would ever be Susan Luci.
- 17:10Speaker 10: You were just Ria Carrey for the third time.
- 17:15Speaker 7: Noted rock Riah here.
- 17:16Speaker 10: Yeah, they just can't change it. Hold on, Mariah Carey
- 17:20Speaker 10: did have an alternative album that the label wouldn't let
- 17:23Speaker 10: her release because they thought it was too off brand.
- 17:27Speaker 10: Now you can find some of it online.
- 17:29Speaker 6: And that's what she's nominated.
- 17:31Speaker 8: She's saying like she could do it. Someone's ugly daughter,
- 17:36Speaker 8: at least under the band named name chick Yep.
- 17:39Speaker 7: Look it up. Think you think that's a fun fun fact?
- 17:42Speaker 4: That is a fun fact. I want more from Manice,
- 17:48Speaker 4: What do you guys?
- 17:49Speaker 10: Well, something that we both love Greg is some baling.
- 17:54Speaker 4: Out loud, out.
- 17:56Speaker 10: Loud, A young woman with a trust syndrome who happens
- 18:03Speaker 10: to have a show on HBO.
- 18:05Speaker 4: Max happened. Fun she's funny, she's got a good attitude.
- 18:08Speaker 10: I first discovered her on social media, but she's been
- 18:11Speaker 10: able to make the leap to primetime television.
- 18:14Speaker 4: Should and she.
- 18:15Speaker 10: Went, no, no, She actually has come to the defense
- 18:19Speaker 10: of that one guy that was at the batht.
- 18:22Speaker 7: Or to you know, what did he do?
- 18:25Speaker 10: He said the N word a couple of times as
- 18:27Speaker 10: a couple actors came out.
- 18:28Speaker 7: That would be Michael B.
- 18:29Speaker 10: Jordan and Delroy Lindo.
- 18:32Speaker 7: It was funny if he actually said the like the
- 18:34Speaker 7: phrase the N word. Yeah, oh yeah, yeah.
- 18:36Speaker 10: So she came to the defense and said, hey, these
- 18:40Speaker 10: are involuntary, there's nothing behind it. But you know, I
- 18:44Speaker 10: don't know if you saw that post by Jamie fox
- 18:46Speaker 10: he said he meant those words.
- 18:48Speaker 6: So, well, here's the thing. The guy wasn't just some
- 18:50Speaker 6: random guy. They were he was the subject of one
- 18:54Speaker 6: of the doctor series. But then everyone else is saying,
- 18:56Speaker 6: if that's even remotely a possibility, maybe stay home watch
- 18:59Speaker 6: it on TV.
- 19:00Speaker 7: What what would he have if?
- 19:01Speaker 8: Okay, let's take Jamie Foxx's expert analysis at face value.
- 19:05Speaker 7: What would be the gain? Like the dude who's international condemnation? Yeah,
- 19:11Speaker 7: for an Award show.
- 19:12Speaker 6: Yeah, nobody's like, you know, it's about time somebody.
- 19:14Speaker 7: Yelled at like what he's brave? Yeah, but did you
- 19:18Speaker 7: see the follow up on this?
- 19:19Speaker 10: We didn't actually discuss this on the show that that
- 19:23Speaker 10: that wasn't live what air.
- 19:26Speaker 4: They could have taken it, They could have taken.
- 19:28Speaker 10: It out, but guess what, they didn't want to defend.
- 19:30Speaker 10: They didn't want to offend the Trette's.
- 19:33Speaker 4: Community, Right, they took out other stuff.
- 19:38Speaker 6: Yeah, but they said slip by.
- 19:39Speaker 10: Them, Yeah, just slip by Okay.
- 19:43Speaker 4: But Balen has said stuff at the worst possible times,
- 19:46Speaker 4: and it's not airports.
- 19:48Speaker 7: I got a gun.
- 19:48Speaker 10: Tot's not malicious, not saying the racist stuff. At least
- 19:53Speaker 10: that doesn't end up on the show.
- 19:54Speaker 7: She's got some decent editors.
- 19:55Speaker 4: Yeah right, she does, Gina, what do you got?
- 19:58Speaker 6: Okay? Well, things are coming out now about SNL's one
- 20:02Speaker 6: thousandth episode that went down backstage and according to some
- 20:05Speaker 6: anonymous sources they do not want their names named. Cardi
- 20:09Speaker 6: B was getting ready to perform when she overheard weekend Update.
- 20:13Speaker 6: They were rehearsing a joke about Nicki Minaj and her
- 20:15Speaker 6: you know, political ties now with Trump and even though
- 20:18Speaker 6: the joke had nothing to do with Cardi B. And
- 20:20Speaker 6: it wasn't like praising Nicki Minaj. She freaked out and
- 20:24Speaker 6: she said she got really they she got really upset
- 20:28Speaker 6: because she didn't want to hear about nick Minaj because
- 20:30Speaker 6: of their beef, and people say it escalated. She started
- 20:33Speaker 6: threatening to leave. She damaged some equipment allegedly through her
- 20:37Speaker 6: phone at a monitor and broke it allegedly, and the
- 20:40Speaker 6: damage equipment had to be replaced all by the dress rehearsal,
- 20:43Speaker 6: and then it left everyone super freaked out and they
- 20:46Speaker 6: cut the joke from the show.
- 20:47Speaker 10: Yeah, I kind of understand why Cardi B wouldn't want
- 20:50Speaker 10: that because of the beef that they have with each other,
- 20:54Speaker 10: her and Cardi her and Nicki Minaj constantly going back
- 20:58Speaker 10: and forth. And Cardi B's there to perform, so guess
- 21:01Speaker 10: what happens. They're gonna make a joke about Nicki Minaj
- 21:05Speaker 10: and Cardi B is gonna be there, So it's guilty
- 21:07Speaker 10: by association that she was somehow maybe part of it,
- 21:10Speaker 10: or even Nicki Minaj was even mentioned while she was performing.
- 21:16Speaker 10: Because this is what they do, dude, more cash for ads.
- 21:18Speaker 10: They're gonna make this fake drama on all the social
- 21:21Speaker 10: media pages or on blogs and say, uh, this Nicki
- 21:26Speaker 10: Minaj joke was mentioned while Cardi B was there, So
- 21:28Speaker 10: it would have been all about this Nicki Minaj joke,
- 21:31Speaker 10: not about her.
- 21:31Speaker 7: Perf't go to these websites.
- 21:33Speaker 10: So I know, I know, but our our whole stupid
- 21:37Speaker 10: social media is consumed by fake, made up crap like this.
- 21:41Speaker 10: And I could see she could. She would have the
- 21:43Speaker 10: foresight that it wouldn't even be about a performance. It
- 21:45Speaker 10: would have been about the joke she's playing, or at
- 21:50Speaker 10: least somebody around deal with internet drama on a daily basis.
- 21:56Speaker 10: As unsmart you think Cardi B is, I guarantee you
- 21:59Speaker 10: she would have had the foresight that this would have
- 22:02Speaker 10: happened that way.
- 22:03Speaker 8: I will take up that guarantee and we'll see about
- 22:05Speaker 8: that there. Okay, next time I talked to Cardi, I'll
- 22:07Speaker 8: ask her.
- 22:08Speaker 7: But go for it.
- 22:08Speaker 4: But superb analysis there. I mean, I see what you're saying.
- 22:12Speaker 7: It would have been all about that.
- 22:13Speaker 6: I think that maybe that would have been a happy accident,
- 22:15Speaker 6: and she's just easily upset. I don't want to hear
- 22:19Speaker 6: that bitch's name.
- 22:21Speaker 14: Jeh.
- 22:21Speaker 4: We've witnessed stuff like that firsthand. Yeah, we got to
- 22:24Speaker 4: take a quick break and then we'll come back with
- 22:26Speaker 4: the holidays and the birthdays here on the Woody Show.
- 22:29Speaker 6: Really well, we have a lot to get to today.
- 22:34Speaker 6: Of course, we have trending news headlines, we have this
- 22:36Speaker 6: weekend audio, and then coming up next hour, we have
- 22:39Speaker 6: a five pack of passes to the Woody Show After
- 22:42Speaker 6: Hours Takeover at Disney California Adventure Parks. It's going to.
- 22:46Speaker 7: Be so good.
- 22:48Speaker 4: And we have additional chances as well, because we're going
- 22:50Speaker 4: to be out and about basically between now and the takeover. So, Gina,
- 22:54Speaker 4: you and I are going to be at the Albertsons
- 22:55Speaker 4: in Testin this Sunday noon to two additional chances to
- 23:00Speaker 4: get in on that guest list for the after Hours
- 23:03Speaker 4: takeover at Disney California Adventure Park.
- 23:06Speaker 6: Come give us hugs and win sometimes do whose do.
- 23:12Speaker 2: The Woody Show?
- 23:13Speaker 4: And welcome back to the Thursday Morning What do you Show? What?
- 23:15Speaker 4: He will be back Monday. We did things kind of
- 23:17Speaker 4: in reverse order. Yeah, we got to tell you about
- 23:19Speaker 4: the holidays today, which Sea Bass said, we can't skip.
- 23:23Speaker 4: It's Carpadim Day, which is redundant because seize the Day
- 23:26Speaker 4: Day Day Day, Sea Bass introduced a girl to engineering Day.
- 23:30Speaker 4: That's what I've been trying to do. I've been exactly
- 23:33Speaker 4: to implant it in, trying to bread the word. It's
- 23:35Speaker 4: National Toast Day and it's a National Thermost Bottle Day
- 23:39Speaker 4: for Sammy your birthdays today. I think he's underrated. Michael Bowdon.
- 23:48Speaker 6: Love that he's totally gotten in on comedy the last
- 23:51Speaker 6: decade and a half roll. One of his songs was
- 23:54Speaker 6: our Love is a Wonderful Thing was playing at our wedding.
- 23:58Speaker 6: It's super Fun's.
- 23:59Speaker 4: Sweet Well, he's seventy three. Erica Badu fifty five today.
- 24:03Speaker 4: Nate Russ, the singer for that band Fun, is forty four.
- 24:06Speaker 4: I don't know this person, but Taylor Dooley from Lava
- 24:09Speaker 4: Girl and Shark Boy Lava Girl h thirty three rip.
- 24:13Speaker 4: And then you got to NFL Hall of Fame running
- 24:15Speaker 4: back Marshall Falk he is fifty three today. And then
- 24:19Speaker 4: your porn of birthday, Giselle Blanco, Okay, Giselle Blanco. This
- 24:25Speaker 4: Birthday Girl sucks harder and longer than a foreign film
- 24:27Speaker 4: with subtitled It's been in four hundred and ten fine
- 24:31Speaker 4: adult movies, including something. I'm always in nude and in
- 24:35Speaker 4: the mood nic. She was in an overly flirty prospective
- 24:39Speaker 4: home buyer. I would love to see that. Don't tell
- 24:43Speaker 4: my mom we're banging her man, okay. And then this
- 24:46Speaker 4: one's just a vibe. She was in that movie that
- 24:48Speaker 4: you probably saw, Vibin and Squirtin. She's Vibin and Squirtan.
- 24:53Speaker 6: What do you do today?
- 24:55Speaker 5: Vi?
- 24:56Speaker 4: And of course we can't forget her fine role in
- 24:59Speaker 4: Busty and Horny. Giselle Blanco rocks her doctor's world.
- 25:03Speaker 6: Yes she does.
- 25:04Speaker 4: Jiselle Blanco. She is twenty seven today. So let's look
- 25:07Speaker 4: at your your porn of birthday, your celebrity birthdays, and
- 25:10Speaker 4: all these fine holidays that will be celebrating today. It
- 25:13Speaker 4: is the Woody Show, yea, it is the Woody Show,
- 25:17Speaker 4: but we are Woody Lists today. He'll be back on Monday.
- 25:21Speaker 4: But in the meantime, it's Greg Gory and Gina. Hi
- 25:24Speaker 4: got menace? Hi? What's up everybody? What's up? Menas seabasses here?
- 25:28Speaker 4: Sammy's here?
- 25:29Speaker 6: Hello?
- 25:29Speaker 4: Gina has your headlines?
- 25:31Speaker 6: Make sure to do well. Four people on a speedboat
- 25:34Speaker 6: that was registered in the US were killed after things
- 25:36Speaker 6: went super sideways off the coast of Cuba. Cuban officials
- 25:39Speaker 6: say the boat came into their waters started opening fire.
- 25:43Speaker 6: Border guards fired back. Six other people on the boat
- 25:46Speaker 6: were injured. One Cuban officer was hurt. Cuba says the
- 25:48Speaker 6: boat was registered in Florida and that the ten people
- 25:51Speaker 6: on the boat were Cuban residents living in the US
- 25:54Speaker 6: who are armed and planning what officials describe as a
- 25:56Speaker 6: terrorist attack. The six survivors are now being held in Cuba,
- 25:59Speaker 6: and authority say a lot of the boat had a
- 26:02Speaker 6: lot of criminal history. The US government. They're not putting
- 26:05Speaker 6: any details on it yet, but that's what's going on there.
- 26:07Speaker 7: None of it makes sense at all, trying to take
- 26:09Speaker 7: off for Cuba.
- 26:10Speaker 13: What's wrong on?
- 26:10Speaker 6: Yeah, well, people tried from time to time.
- 26:12Speaker 10: Remember I put the prediction that the Cuba and America
- 26:16Speaker 10: we're gonna be cool.
- 26:17Speaker 7: At some point, we're gonna be buddies. Yeah, we're gonna
- 26:19Speaker 7: be buds. I'm hoping as long.
- 26:21Speaker 6: As they start letting cruise ships back in, it's fine. Well,
- 26:24Speaker 6: new documents show that Jeffrey Epstein went to a lot
- 26:27Speaker 6: of trouble to hide evidence of his crimes. You guys,
- 26:30Speaker 6: are you shocked by that? No, investigators say, his lawyers
- 26:33Speaker 6: had and private investigators got rid of computers, phone books,
- 26:37Speaker 6: explicit materials from his place in Palm Beach right before
- 26:40Speaker 6: a police raid in two thousand and five, so prosecutors
- 26:42Speaker 6: never got to see him. So basically he managed to
- 26:44Speaker 6: keep a lot of evidence.
- 26:46Speaker 17: I'm surprised about this because somebody got to have pictures
- 26:49Speaker 17: and emails and.
- 26:50Speaker 4: So they got rid of more.
- 26:51Speaker 6: Yeah, exactly terrible.
- 26:54Speaker 10: I learned about himselves, like this is no way this
- 26:57Speaker 10: is true, but I it is true. I looked it
- 26:59Speaker 10: up that I learned it from Charlottage the God and
- 27:03Speaker 10: Andrew Schultz. They have a podcast called Brilliant Idiots, and
- 27:05Speaker 10: they go, did you know that there was three hundred
- 27:08Speaker 10: and thirty barrels of acid sent to the island like
- 27:12Speaker 10: the day he got, you know, popped by the FBI.
- 27:17Speaker 10: What what would they need all that acid for? Like
- 27:21Speaker 10: the craziest weekend They were trying to they were trying
- 27:23Speaker 10: to say, I mean on that side, they were trying
- 27:26Speaker 10: to say it was for like water sanitation stuff, and go,
- 27:29Speaker 10: it just happens to be a coincidence that it.
- 27:31Speaker 14: Shows acid the drug, right, Like acid acid actual acid.
- 27:36Speaker 6: No, that's what I was thinking. To have a great weekend,
- 27:41Speaker 6: like literally just to like Distinegoget.
- 27:43Speaker 10: You know, Okay, have you tried acid Toammy?
- 27:45Speaker 6: No?
- 27:45Speaker 1: No?
- 27:46Speaker 10: Do you know what acid looks like? Like the drug acid?
- 27:48Speaker 10: It's little tabs, three hundred and thirty barrels. Would that
- 27:53Speaker 10: populate the world?
- 27:54Speaker 13: Understand a good time?
- 27:56Speaker 6: So I was clarifying, Sammy, thank you for clarifying for me.
- 28:01Speaker 6: And now Bill and Hillary Clinton are facing lawmakers this
- 28:04Speaker 6: week over their ties to Epstein. The Clintons are scheduled
- 28:07Speaker 6: to participate in closed door depositions with the House Oversight
- 28:10Speaker 6: Committee in New York. After negotiations on this for months.
- 28:14Speaker 6: Hillary is supposed to appear today. Bill's supposed to appear tomorrow.
- 28:17Speaker 6: And here's a fun fact for you. Bill's deposition will
- 28:20Speaker 6: be the first time a former president has appeared in
- 28:22Speaker 6: front of congressional panels since Gerald Ford, Oh in nineteen
- 28:28Speaker 6: eighty three.
- 28:28Speaker 4: Yeah. Hillary's saying she doesn't recall meeting Jeffrey Epstein.
- 28:31Speaker 6: Well, and that's the funniest thing. I was talking about
- 28:34Speaker 6: this comedian who says, like, for people who don't know Epstein,
- 28:39Speaker 6: there's a lot of people that would just stand around
- 28:40Speaker 6: at parties apparently be like, I don't know this guy,
- 28:43Speaker 6: I don't want to know. I've got to get a
- 28:45Speaker 6: picture with him. So many people have pictures with their
- 28:48Speaker 6: arms around this guy, biggest smile ever permegrant on their face.
- 28:52Speaker 6: And we haven't talked about it in a while, and
- 28:55Speaker 6: I mean, I guess there's a good reason for that.
- 28:57Speaker 6: But the Feds conducted what looks like a final sweep
- 29:00Speaker 6: of Nancy Guthrie's Tucson home yesterday. They spent hours combing
- 29:03Speaker 6: the property before just giving it back to the family.
- 29:06Speaker 6: This is a move that a lot of people are
- 29:08Speaker 6: seeing as a sign that investigators are just they're just exhausted.
- 29:11Speaker 6: They've exhausted their leads. Nancy's been missing since February first,
- 29:16Speaker 6: no suspects have been publicly idd, and the investigation has
- 29:19Speaker 6: just really slowed down. Authorities are still analyzing for forensic
- 29:23Speaker 6: evidence and they're keeping the case open technically, but the
- 29:27Speaker 6: lack of breakthroughs just seems like, you know, this is
- 29:29Speaker 6: a dead end.
- 29:30Speaker 4: There was a lot of talk about this suv that
- 29:32Speaker 4: pulled up to the house yesterday and it was completely
- 29:34Speaker 4: blocked out, so they thought maybe it was a family
- 29:37Speaker 4: member or a key witness or something along those lines.
- 29:41Speaker 4: But the FBI themselves, they had an analyst saying they
- 29:44Speaker 4: probably it was probably Savannah.
- 29:46Speaker 6: Well yeah, and this is so crazy because for someone
- 29:48Speaker 6: who consumes as much true crime as me and who
- 29:51Speaker 6: really believes, like, I can't do anything illegal, because all
- 29:55Speaker 6: these stories tell me I will get caught eventually. What's
- 29:58Speaker 6: going on? Everyone eventually gets caught? Like, why are there
- 30:01Speaker 6: no leads?
- 30:04Speaker 13: There's a video. It's strange that there's no leads, but
- 30:06Speaker 13: there's still like a ring camera video.
- 30:08Speaker 6: Dude, Yeah, totally yeah, but still yeah, you could tell
- 30:13Speaker 6: a lot by somebody's shifty eyes.
- 30:14Speaker 7: He was average, heighten, bild.
- 30:16Speaker 6: Guys come on the hood, he find him. He got
- 30:20Speaker 6: exactly well. At a recent Gates Foundation town hall, Bill
- 30:23Speaker 6: Gates apologized to employees for his past association with Jeffrey
- 30:27Speaker 6: Epstein and said that continuing to spend time with him
- 30:29Speaker 6: was quote a huge mistake. Was a couple of ds
- 30:33Speaker 6: and some secret meds. He also acknowledged that, while married
- 30:37Speaker 6: to Melinda French Gates, he had two extramarital affairs with
- 30:40Speaker 6: Russian women. One was a bridge player and one was
- 30:42Speaker 6: a nuclear physicist. It's all good girl.
- 30:45Speaker 8: At least that's that's like on brand for Bill Gates,
- 30:48Speaker 8: a professional professional bridge player.
- 30:53Speaker 10: Now are we talking about bridges or the game? You
- 30:56Speaker 10: know what the bridget.
- 31:05Speaker 4: Bridge?
- 31:05Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 31:06Speaker 6: Gates insisted he had no involvement with any of Epstein's victims.
- 31:10Speaker 6: He says he regrets that he ever had ties to
- 31:12Speaker 6: Epstein and how that's affected his foundation and his staff.
- 31:16Speaker 6: But again, he just kept denying any criminal wrongdoing.
- 31:19Speaker 7: Sammy says, looking at his wife, who blames him.
- 31:21Speaker 10: What cool, Sammy, Yeah, that's Sammy.
- 31:28Speaker 4: I hate that expression. You can't make this stuff up.
- 31:31Speaker 4: It's so perfect that he had an affair with a bridge.
- 31:36Speaker 6: Bridge player and nuclear business.
- 31:37Speaker 13: Well, there's professional chess players.
- 31:41Speaker 10: What the professional There was a comedian that had a
- 31:44Speaker 10: line that I thought was pretty funny. He goes, I
- 31:46Speaker 10: have to apologize to a lot of conspiracy theorists.
- 31:50Speaker 4: You know.
- 31:51Speaker 6: Well, there's a new fad that I'm guessing Menace is
- 31:53Speaker 6: aware of because of what are the real housewives of
- 31:57Speaker 6: Mormon wives?
- 31:58Speaker 10: Yeah, the secret lives of the Yeah.
- 32:01Speaker 7: This is awesome.
- 32:02Speaker 6: This is something I'm sure you've heard of now for
- 32:04Speaker 6: a while. Dirty Soda. Yeah, it's basically just flavored syrups
- 32:07Speaker 6: with like cream or milk. It's soweeping the country, especially
- 32:11Speaker 6: in places that are more influenced by the Church of
- 32:13Speaker 6: Latter day Saints, since those are places we're drinking coffee
- 32:16Speaker 6: and alcohol are way less normal. But of course started
- 32:19Speaker 6: in Utah and has spread to a bunch more states.
- 32:21Speaker 6: People are putting their own twist on it. Bars are
- 32:24Speaker 6: putting their own twist on it since it's very customized.
- 32:26Speaker 6: But it's literally just syrup and cream.
- 32:28Speaker 10: Yeah, it's basically another word for it as mocktails. And
- 32:31Speaker 10: we've kind of talked about this before, like, yeah, they
- 32:34Speaker 10: taste great, but I'm not going to spend the same
- 32:36Speaker 10: amount of money that I would spend on a Long Island. Actually,
- 32:40Speaker 10: these kind of sodas.
- 32:41Speaker 8: These I see these on menus, like the drinks menu.
- 32:43Speaker 8: I'm like, what are you insane?
- 32:46Speaker 6: Kids menu?
- 32:47Speaker 7: Yeah, they're good, don't.
- 32:48Speaker 6: Get me wrong with these basically egg creams like from
- 32:51Speaker 6: New York, like soda water cream and flavoring.
- 32:54Speaker 7: Yeah, like the Italian sodas.
- 32:56Speaker 4: Yeah, so if you're going to order one of these
- 32:58Speaker 4: dirty sodas, what would that go for?
- 33:00Speaker 10: Sometimes watch the Dragon Bucks or more.
- 33:04Speaker 6: Yeah, No, that's a no.
- 33:05Speaker 4: Dog, that's a dog. That's a that's a make it
- 33:08Speaker 4: at home. Yeah.
- 33:08Speaker 10: Also, if you watch the Secret Lives of Mormon wives,
- 33:11Speaker 10: they have like straight up parties and they're getting wild
- 33:14Speaker 10: on soda.
- 33:15Speaker 6: Oh my god, all that sugar.
- 33:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 33:19Speaker 6: Well, speaking of getting wild, Andy Dick has been spotted
- 33:22Speaker 6: looking pretty frail and being pushed around in a wheelchair
- 33:25Speaker 6: in Los Angeles. And this is just days after leaving
- 33:27Speaker 6: a fifty day stint in rehab. He looked very thin,
- 33:30Speaker 6: a little unsteady, okay, and you guys, people are worried
- 33:33Speaker 6: about his health. Oh no, So this new push to
- 33:36Speaker 6: get him sober comes after, you know, we talked about
- 33:38Speaker 6: in December that viral video that showed him collapsed on
- 33:41Speaker 6: some steps in Hollywood. A witness said that Dick had
- 33:44Speaker 6: turned blue, he looked lifeless. Paramedics, yeah, gave him a
- 33:48Speaker 6: bunch of dar can. Maybe I should have worded that differently.
- 33:52Speaker 6: After about ten minutes, they said, he stood up, acted
- 33:54Speaker 6: like nothing happened. And he's been in and out of
- 33:56Speaker 6: rehab for years and also admits quite freely that quote,
- 34:00Speaker 6: I don't mind doing a little crack every.
- 34:01Speaker 4: Now, right. He's not a quitter.
- 34:03Speaker 6: Yeah, he's no quitters.
- 34:04Speaker 10: Every time he's in the news, I beg for us
- 34:07Speaker 10: to call him because I have his number.
- 34:09Speaker 7: That I begged for us to literally give him a
- 34:11Speaker 7: place to stay live.
- 34:12Speaker 6: Stream I forgot he already does that. He's already done
- 34:16Speaker 6: a whole How many days was he being live streamed?
- 34:19Speaker 6: And that like trailer?
- 34:20Speaker 10: Well he did, uh yeah, he did that trailer and
- 34:23Speaker 10: then something having got in trouble for that. But also
- 34:26Speaker 10: remember Quibi, that little video app. Oh yeah, he did
- 34:30Speaker 10: a show on there. Well they were basically like doing
- 34:32Speaker 10: cribs and he was living in a shed with like
- 34:34Speaker 10: one of his.
- 34:36Speaker 4: And this is how you know home shows are mega fake.
- 34:39Speaker 4: He was on an episode of Celebrity House Hunters. Oh
- 34:42Speaker 4: so go my budgets? Yeah, you know, three million or whatever.
- 34:44Speaker 4: I'm okayse or of actual shed, yeah exactly. And speaking
- 34:50Speaker 4: of wheelchairs, Yeah, I made I don't want to say
- 34:54Speaker 4: a mistake by watching it, but I watched Famous Last
- 34:57Speaker 4: Words with Eric Days, Oh so good.
- 35:01Speaker 6: How long was it?
- 35:02Speaker 4: It's about fifty minutes.
- 35:04Speaker 6: Like almost an hour five zero.
- 35:07Speaker 4: The entire time. I definitely cried at the end. You
- 35:10Speaker 4: definitely cried at certain points during it. The host of
- 35:14Speaker 4: that show, Brad Falchuk, I have no reference on him,
- 35:17Speaker 4: is an author. He was fantastic Brad.
- 35:20Speaker 6: That name sounds very familiar, so he.
- 35:22Speaker 4: Kind of looks familiar too. But he's a great interview.
- 35:25Speaker 7: Did they have it from anybody else or just him?
- 35:27Speaker 4: So far?
- 35:27Speaker 7: He famous last words.
- 35:28Speaker 4: I had watched Eric excuse me, Eric Dane, and then
- 35:32Speaker 4: Jane Goodall there's.
- 35:33Speaker 7: An episode with her on Netflix. On Netflix is the
- 35:37Speaker 7: premise that, Hey, we know you're going to die, so
- 35:39Speaker 7: we're going to talk to you.
- 35:39Speaker 4: It's yeah, kind of with Eric Danes. Obviously, it's more
- 35:43Speaker 4: obvious because he was ill. With Jane Goodall, she was
- 35:46Speaker 4: just really old. But the whole point is he sits
- 35:49Speaker 4: down with him, and he's honest with him, saying, we're
- 35:51Speaker 4: going to talk now, and this is going to be
- 35:54Speaker 4: not aired until you've passed away, so they're aware of it.
- 35:58Speaker 4: That's the and they kind of he reads their bio.
- 36:01Speaker 4: They go through their life, they talk about their history,
- 36:03Speaker 4: they talk about their feelings, they talk about their impact
- 36:06Speaker 4: on the world, and then he leaves. Inside the room,
- 36:09Speaker 4: there's robotic cameras, there's no other humans in the room.
- 36:12Speaker 4: He leaves and then they look directly at the camera
- 36:15Speaker 4: to give their famous last words.
- 36:16Speaker 13: Yeah, it's really I don't know if I have it
- 36:19Speaker 13: in me to watch that.
- 36:20Speaker 10: Yeah, you can barely get through the clips. I don't
- 36:22Speaker 10: think I can.
- 36:23Speaker 4: I know it was very, very same.
- 36:25Speaker 7: Do you have it in you to do it?
- 36:27Speaker 4: I would do it in a heartbeat, nobody. But the
- 36:30Speaker 4: thing is he talks to cultural icons, so you got
- 36:32Speaker 4: to fit that category.
- 36:33Speaker 6: So your cultural you're famous quickly, Greg, I know, become.
- 36:38Speaker 4: A movie star, so you can get on famous last word.
- 36:42Speaker 6: That's what's going on everybody.
- 36:43Speaker 4: Thank you, Gina. Up next, Menace has got a treat
- 36:46Speaker 4: for us. I'm looking forward to this.
- 36:48Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 36:49Speaker 10: So I always kind of buzzed at our last event,
- 36:51Speaker 10: and I was reading an email on like what we
- 36:53Speaker 10: would cover on the show. And remember we had that
- 36:56Speaker 10: topic things shouldn't things that shouldn't need to be said, right,
- 37:02Speaker 10: And but I read it wrong, and I said, and
- 37:05Speaker 10: I started recording some stuff with our listeners, and I said,
- 37:09Speaker 10: things that should not be said instead shouldn't be told.
- 37:14Speaker 4: Not things that shouldn't need to be said, things that
- 37:16Speaker 4: should should be said.
- 37:17Speaker 10: And we got a couple of funny responses and then
- 37:20Speaker 10: I got the I got back on track to the
- 37:22Speaker 10: original topic. So I just want to share the audio
- 37:24Speaker 10: that I recorded with our listeners.
- 37:25Speaker 4: So you made lemonade out of lemon?
- 37:27Speaker 7: Yeah, I did, and I was buzzed. Sorry like that.
- 37:30Speaker 10: I'm so proud of you. So we'll share that audio
- 37:32Speaker 10: coming up next.
- 37:35Speaker 4: We'll be right now back to the show, and we're
- 37:39Speaker 4: going to get back into something that I've been looking
- 37:41Speaker 4: forward to for a long time, because leave it to
- 37:43Speaker 4: menace to misread something but turn it into something else.
- 37:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 37:49Speaker 10: So we had that topic the other day, stuff that
- 37:51Speaker 10: shouldn't need to be told, like I shouldn't have to
- 37:54Speaker 10: tell you how to you know, do something or you know,
- 37:57Speaker 10: different things like that, and how to act. And we
- 38:00Speaker 10: had an event where, you know, people were drinking and
- 38:03Speaker 10: we're at a brewery, and I go, oh, you know what,
- 38:05Speaker 10: I should record some audio with some of our listeners
- 38:09Speaker 10: on what they have to say about that topic. But
- 38:12Speaker 10: I had a couple of beers myself, and I misread
- 38:15Speaker 10: the email it and so I read it as stuff
- 38:19Speaker 10: that shouldn't be told, like things that you shouldn't tell
- 38:21Speaker 10: other people.
- 38:22Speaker 7: Oh that's better, And so I.
- 38:26Speaker 10: Have the recordings and then finally, like, I get sober
- 38:29Speaker 10: for thirty seconds and then I get on track to
- 38:31Speaker 10: the original subject.
- 38:32Speaker 7: But I have a couple of the before with the
- 38:35Speaker 7: wrong topic.
- 38:36Speaker 10: Okay, so the first one is super obvious, so I
- 38:38Speaker 10: just want to get out of the way.
- 38:39Speaker 7: Here's the first one.
- 38:41Speaker 18: What's something people shouldn't be told?
- 38:44Speaker 5: Body count?
- 38:45Speaker 12: Audie.
- 38:45Speaker 18: Yeah, that's the number one.
- 38:47Speaker 4: That's a number one. You got it easy.
- 38:52Speaker 10: So I felt bad about that because it was a
- 38:55Speaker 10: young girl in front of her boyfriend and she went
- 38:57Speaker 10: with body count.
- 38:58Speaker 4: He didn't.
- 38:59Speaker 10: He had like, oh, don't talk about politics, and I'm like, oh, I.
- 39:05Speaker 4: Know, but I can see his face was like, you
- 39:07Speaker 4: don't want to.
- 39:08Speaker 7: So I'm like that was super easy.
- 39:10Speaker 10: Of course a bunch of people had that answer, but
- 39:13Speaker 10: then we started getting into some other answers.
- 39:15Speaker 7: So here's another clip.
- 39:16Speaker 10: Something people shouldn't be told, something people should not be told?
- 39:21Speaker 19: Yeah, how many times you've done butt stuff?
- 39:23Speaker 18: Okay, so can I get your butt stuff number?
- 39:27Speaker 2: About four?
- 39:28Speaker 7: Four?
- 39:31Speaker 18: Did you spread it out or just like you just
- 39:33Speaker 18: have one crazy month?
- 39:34Speaker 10: It's all so okay, middle finger on thong neither okay,
- 39:41Speaker 10: neither okay?
- 39:42Speaker 18: Interesting?
- 39:44Speaker 10: So wow, solo butt stuff and I'm like, oh, of course,
- 39:49Speaker 10: I'm buzz I should have said, you know, what was
- 39:51Speaker 10: you know up there?
- 39:52Speaker 6: A toy?
- 39:53Speaker 13: I'm guessing right, toy? True, could be anything control.
- 39:58Speaker 10: I mean, we've had so many differentories of bottle bottles
- 40:02Speaker 10: coming wheels. Who knows? All right, going on to another
- 40:07Speaker 10: person who had an interesting reply, what's something people shouldn't
- 40:11Speaker 10: be told how to raise their kids?
- 40:13Speaker 18: How to raise their kids?
- 40:13Speaker 7: That's a good one.
- 40:14Speaker 18: Do you have kids?
- 40:15Speaker 3: No?
- 40:15Speaker 6: I do not.
- 40:16Speaker 18: Do you tell people how.
- 40:17Speaker 7: To raise their kids?
- 40:17Speaker 5: Hell? Yeah I do.
- 40:19Speaker 18: What's the number one petive that you have for people
- 40:21Speaker 18: with their kids?
- 40:23Speaker 14: Oh, they're so invasive of your personal space.
- 40:25Speaker 6: Those kids are all over you ninety percent of the
- 40:27Speaker 6: time you're around them, all sticky and nasty and gross.
- 40:31Speaker 4: Don't have them, not at all?
- 40:33Speaker 10: Him I want, yes, But it's funny that she came
- 40:39Speaker 10: up with the subject like, don't tell people how to
- 40:41Speaker 10: raise their kids, But she had a lot to say
- 40:43Speaker 10: about it.
- 40:44Speaker 6: Well, kids are sticky, and they are close talkers, and.
- 40:46Speaker 13: She's not wrong.
- 40:47Speaker 14: Anytime every kid in a certain age will just cough
- 40:50Speaker 14: and sneeze right in your face and not even think.
- 40:53Speaker 7: Twice about it, or just like be in your space.
- 40:55Speaker 8: I don't know, Greg, I guess I'm kind of lucky
- 40:57Speaker 8: that kids aren't not men every.
- 41:02Speaker 4: Right that they don't climb on me either, I guess.
- 41:04Speaker 4: But that's where that the kids having kids, it's the
- 41:07Speaker 4: only thing you're not allowed to have an opinion on
- 41:09Speaker 4: unless you have a kid.
- 41:10Speaker 6: That's true.
- 41:11Speaker 4: You don't have to have a dog, but you can
- 41:12Speaker 4: have an opinion on dog breeds or dogs. You don't
- 41:15Speaker 4: have to have a certain make of car to have
- 41:17Speaker 4: an opinion about it, but god forbid you have an
- 41:20Speaker 4: opinion about it.
- 41:20Speaker 7: Suggest you don't understand you don't have kids.
- 41:23Speaker 6: I think maybe the difference is because you're absolutely right
- 41:25Speaker 6: about that, and I'm wondering, I'm thinking, well, why would
- 41:27Speaker 6: that be? And I guess it's you're you're assuming what
- 41:31Speaker 6: it's like to live with one or to have to
- 41:33Speaker 6: be responsible for one, when that's just it. It's a lot, right.
- 41:37Speaker 14: Because a lot of people have big plans even before
- 41:39Speaker 14: they become parents. Right they're pregnant, they're gonna have a kid.
- 41:42Speaker 14: They're like, I'm going to be like this, and yeah,
- 41:43Speaker 14: you want panic and you're not, you know, do all
- 41:46Speaker 14: these things, and the second reality hits everything's out the one.
- 41:49Speaker 7: All right, let's go to an easy one.
- 41:50Speaker 10: Let's just say the topic of a restaurant, like, I
- 41:53Speaker 10: shouldn't be able to say anything when your kid is
- 41:55Speaker 10: just climbing over everything, and.
- 41:57Speaker 4: Like, no, you know, because you don't have kids.
- 42:00Speaker 7: I don't understand.
- 42:01Speaker 6: That doesn't make any sense. It's somebody who has a kid.
- 42:03Speaker 6: That makes zero sense. If somebody else has to come
- 42:06Speaker 6: up and parent my kid because I'm so bad at it,
- 42:08Speaker 6: I should be. I should be wearing shame ribbons when
- 42:11Speaker 6: I leave the door. So you're absolutely right about that.
- 42:14Speaker 18: I don't.
- 42:14Speaker 6: I don't know why people are so precious about it.
- 42:16Speaker 7: Yeah, I don't get it.
- 42:18Speaker 10: But so I finally got back on topic, and so
- 42:23Speaker 10: you reread the Oh damn it. Okay, so it's stuff
- 42:27Speaker 10: that should not need to be told, right, Okay, sorry,
- 42:30Speaker 10: I can't things that shouldn't need to be said. Okay,
- 42:34Speaker 10: now you understand how I got confused? Yes, all right, absolutely,
- 42:37Speaker 10: So here we go with the topic.
- 42:41Speaker 18: What's something people shouldn't need to be told?
- 42:44Speaker 6: Don't pick your nose?
- 42:45Speaker 18: Don't pick your nose?
- 42:46Speaker 20: Yeah, or wash your hands.
- 42:48Speaker 18: You tell me you never picked your nose?
- 42:49Speaker 6: I mean I do but I washed my hands after.
- 42:52Speaker 18: What's your favorite type of booker is?
- 42:56Speaker 13: You know which ones are cool?
- 42:57Speaker 18: Like the crusty ones?
- 42:59Speaker 21: Now you have to like really dig out and then
- 43:01Speaker 21: sometimes there's still like a gooey part at.
- 43:03Speaker 10: The end, like I'm like, how long have you been here?
- 43:06Speaker 6: Well?
- 43:06Speaker 18: Also like you're kind of so fresh.
- 43:08Speaker 6: Yeah, so I'm like, all right.
- 43:11Speaker 7: These are these are our listeners.
- 43:13Speaker 6: By the way, didn't gonna change my response from that
- 43:18Speaker 6: nasty bitch. Better not have touched me too, you know what?
- 43:20Speaker 6: That was adorable?
- 43:21Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 43:23Speaker 22: Yeah, so I guess, uh, stop shaking hands with people. Yeah,
- 43:27Speaker 22: I guess right, going with hugs. Yeah, here's another. Here's
- 43:32Speaker 22: another one right here.
- 43:33Speaker 18: What is something that people shouldn't need to be told?
- 43:37Speaker 18: If you have a wife?
- 43:39Speaker 23: Put the seat down?
- 43:41Speaker 18: Oh you you put your seat down for your wife?
- 43:42Speaker 4: My seat down? Okay all the time?
- 43:44Speaker 23: Ohry, I'm trained.
- 43:45Speaker 18: Some guys be like, oh, your lady's putting you in check?
- 43:48Speaker 18: What do you what you would think about that? I
- 43:50Speaker 18: get sex. I'm okay with being in check.
- 43:52Speaker 4: That's fine.
- 43:54Speaker 10: Don't you think you're like, hey, you know what, take
- 43:56Speaker 10: a look before you sit down on the toilet.
- 43:58Speaker 23: See, know, it's the men's job, or at least to
- 44:03Speaker 23: be nice fifty to fifty to give her the benefit
- 44:06Speaker 23: of the doubt, you know, and treat her with respect that.
- 44:09Speaker 18: She's standing right here.
- 44:10Speaker 4: But keep it right.
- 44:11Speaker 10: Three am on a Tuesday, and I've still never fallen
- 44:14Speaker 10: into the toilet because he's always.
- 44:15Speaker 18: Put it down.
- 44:16Speaker 11: I make sure it goes down.
- 44:19Speaker 3: We get it.
- 44:20Speaker 7: You're love.
- 44:23Speaker 14: God.
- 44:23Speaker 10: Because it goes back to the argument that Greg and
- 44:25Speaker 10: I have always had for decades on the show.
- 44:28Speaker 7: Do women walk in the bathroom like there's I.
- 44:31Speaker 4: Wonder right, I fell into the toilet.
- 44:34Speaker 19: First of all, you don't put the seat.
- 44:36Speaker 16: Greg.
- 44:36Speaker 6: I'm going to use your own personality against you and
- 44:40Speaker 6: say how unsightly is an open seat?
- 44:44Speaker 7: We get it, but it's.
- 44:46Speaker 4: Never been the argument. But for me, that's this simplest
- 44:49Speaker 4: solution for the planet. Man, woman, hermaphrodite. Close the lid. Yeah,
- 44:54Speaker 4: that's at all times when you're not using the toilet.
- 44:57Speaker 6: Close the lid, double seat down.
- 44:59Speaker 3: That's it.
- 45:00Speaker 10: Yeah, But that's not what the ladies arguments are. It's
- 45:04Speaker 10: always that I'm going to fall in right film.
- 45:07Speaker 14: Yeah, And I will say because I really don't look
- 45:10Speaker 14: that much, because it doesn't occur to me, I never
- 45:12Speaker 14: have to lift the toilet set up that. It just
- 45:14Speaker 14: doesn't even occur to me that it's gonna be up,
- 45:17Speaker 14: if that makes sense.
- 45:18Speaker 6: But also like if I see it's up, I just
- 45:20Speaker 6: kick it down and move on with my day.
- 45:23Speaker 4: So at your house right now, Sammy, your the lid
- 45:25Speaker 4: is up and just the scenes you said it backwards?
- 45:30Speaker 13: Oh I was talking about the Yeah, not the mainly but.
- 45:33Speaker 7: The seat right.
- 45:34Speaker 4: But at your house do you close the lid?
- 45:37Speaker 13: Sometimes?
- 45:37Speaker 6: I close it every time I flush. You're supposed to
- 45:39Speaker 6: do You're supposed to do it when you flush.
- 45:42Speaker 4: My brain can't comprehend why you wouldn't close the lid.
- 45:45Speaker 4: Is it just water, right? I mean it's poopy water?
- 45:50Speaker 8: No, it should be I mean after you know, I'm saying,
- 45:51Speaker 8: if it's the lid's up, Yeah, what are you looking at?
- 45:54Speaker 7: That's so heinous?
- 45:56Speaker 4: Well, who wants to look at an open toilet?
- 45:58Speaker 5: You?
- 45:59Speaker 4: In general, working.
- 46:00Speaker 10: Off topic here, it's like are women walking in backwards
- 46:03Speaker 10: in the bathroom?
- 46:04Speaker 6: But I don't think this is as big of an
- 46:05Speaker 6: issue as you think it is.
- 46:07Speaker 7: What do you mean it is? Oh?
- 46:09Speaker 4: It is.
- 46:11Speaker 6: I've never once had this conversation with anyone I've lived with.
- 46:14Speaker 14: I've never had the issue of guys just leaving the
- 46:17Speaker 14: toilet set up.
- 46:19Speaker 6: Animal.
- 46:19Speaker 14: Yeah, not anyone I've looked at, Not my brother, not
- 46:22Speaker 14: my dad, Like, I have.
- 46:23Speaker 13: Not experienced this.
- 46:24Speaker 4: I've heard this mentioned in my lifetime thousands.
- 46:29Speaker 6: It just seems like an old like stick like her,
- 46:31Speaker 6: don't you hear it when the lads leave that toilet sing?
- 46:34Speaker 4: How do you bring up this topic that did?
- 46:36Speaker 6: Yeah you hear but yeah, but this is from a
- 46:40Speaker 6: guy who's whose response was I'm trained, like, Okay, I'm
- 46:43Speaker 6: glad it's working out.
- 46:44Speaker 4: For you guys.
- 46:44Speaker 7: All right, Well, I don't know.
- 46:46Speaker 10: I've heard this argument my entire life, just like Greg
- 46:49Speaker 10: and I still don't understand, and we don't either.
- 46:52Speaker 4: Gets when you're looking at like a real estate listing
- 46:54Speaker 4: and they're showing the bathroom and the toilet lit is up.
- 46:57Speaker 7: Like, how are you going to sell that house?
- 46:59Speaker 4: Animal?
- 47:01Speaker 7: All right?
- 47:02Speaker 10: We have another one that this lady brought up, and
- 47:05Speaker 10: it actually made me sad.
- 47:07Speaker 4: Oh, here we go.
- 47:08Speaker 18: What's something that people shouldn't.
- 47:10Speaker 7: Need to be told.
- 47:11Speaker 18: They shouldn't need to be told to say thank you?
- 47:13Speaker 18: And a lot of people don't say thank you.
- 47:15Speaker 13: A lot of people don't say thinks.
- 47:16Speaker 19: Does that happen to you?
- 47:18Speaker 13: It happens to me a lot.
- 47:19Speaker 19: Yes.
- 47:19Speaker 6: Oh really, I'm a kindergarten teacher. The kiddos don't say
- 47:22Speaker 6: please and thank you a lot.
- 47:24Speaker 10: Really.
- 47:25Speaker 18: I mean when I was a kid, I was taught
- 47:27Speaker 18: to do that.
- 47:28Speaker 6: Yeah, the kiddos these days not so much, not much,
- 47:30Speaker 6: not so much.
- 47:31Speaker 7: Yeah, that's sad. It is sad, like little kids not
- 47:35Speaker 7: saying thank you. Man.
- 47:37Speaker 6: It is weird. It is weird because like I to
- 47:39Speaker 6: this day, like if I'm a like subway ordering a
- 47:42Speaker 6: sandwich or something and they go, yeah, what can I get?
- 47:43Speaker 6: I go, yeah, may I please have? Blah blah. I
- 47:46Speaker 6: don't even think about it. Like so when I hear
- 47:48Speaker 6: someone be like, yeah, let me get a turkey, I'm like, no, no, no,
- 47:51Speaker 6: it's yeah, may I please have? Like are people not
- 47:54Speaker 6: teaching this anymore?
- 47:55Speaker 7: Well, that's what the teacher is saying.
- 47:58Speaker 6: It's terrible, disturbing.
- 48:00Speaker 10: As much of a pain in the ass I am
- 48:02Speaker 10: at restaurants and impatient. I am like every time the
- 48:05Speaker 10: waiter comes by, I always say thank you that I
- 48:07Speaker 10: say it so much that I think I'm overly saying it.
- 48:10Speaker 4: Yeah, that's a good question. Every single time they fill
- 48:13Speaker 4: your water or something, thank you, He's like, I get you.
- 48:16Speaker 4: I do the same thing. I think, am I saying
- 48:18Speaker 4: thank you too much? Every single time the Corey water?
- 48:24Speaker 4: Now I don't have kids, so I'm not allowed to
- 48:26Speaker 4: have an opinion on this. But wouldn't it be appropriate
- 48:30Speaker 4: for this kindergarten teacher to teach the children to say
- 48:33Speaker 4: thank you? Or would that be don't parent my kid?
- 48:37Speaker 16: No?
- 48:37Speaker 10: Yeah, because yeah, that's the new wave, like you don't
- 48:40Speaker 10: tell my kid what do?
- 48:41Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 48:41Speaker 7: What when it comes to the teachers.
- 48:43Speaker 4: But especially because you're a teacher and she says they
- 48:46Speaker 4: don't say it, teach them to say thank you?
- 48:48Speaker 7: Yeah, it's easy.
- 48:49Speaker 6: Just like if they want like a Kleenex and you
- 48:52Speaker 6: hand it to them and they don't say that, you
- 48:54Speaker 6: rip that out of their little hand.
- 48:55Speaker 10: You're the authority on teachers on this show.
- 48:57Speaker 4: What do you think.
- 49:00Speaker 8: She is complaining about a problem. She has direct control
- 49:01Speaker 8: over exactly she could teach. She is literally in charge.
- 49:04Speaker 8: It's not like, well I can't say anything. No, you're
- 49:06Speaker 8: you're saying your job the teacher.
- 49:09Speaker 4: But again, I don't have kids, so I can't I
- 49:11Speaker 4: can't wait.
- 49:13Speaker 10: Well, that's all the audio that I collected that I remembered.
- 49:18Speaker 4: At our event.
- 49:20Speaker 7: But yeah, that's I don't know.
- 49:21Speaker 6: That's what's on the pulse in the mind.
- 49:23Speaker 7: That's on the.
- 49:23Speaker 10: Pulse of our listeners. Boogers, butt stuff and body body
- 49:28Speaker 10: counts and say thank you well, thanks man.
- 49:30Speaker 7: No problem.
- 49:30Speaker 4: Turned out to be a good mistake.
- 49:34Speaker 3: Show.
- 49:35Speaker 4: Welcome back to the Woody Show. I mentioned that Woody
- 49:38Speaker 4: is out, and somebody texts it in. You said, Woody
- 49:40Speaker 4: is out? Is Woody okay? Is he just on vacation?
- 49:44Speaker 4: I hope he and his family are okay. I care
- 49:47Speaker 4: very much what He's perfectly fine. He's at some sort
- 49:53Speaker 4: of radio radio industry things, so better him than me
- 49:58Speaker 4: to be there. Menas tell me that I'm dying to know.
- 50:02Speaker 10: You said, yeah, I told you off the air that
- 50:05Speaker 10: I had a secret to tell you.
- 50:06Speaker 7: And something's happening today.
- 50:10Speaker 10: That you've been involved in in probably for a number
- 50:13Speaker 10: of years now, and I've always given you crap about it,
- 50:15Speaker 10: and I'm like, don't do it, don't be a part
- 50:17Speaker 10: of it. And I found myself to be a part
- 50:21Speaker 10: of it. And it's called Facebook marketplace.
- 50:26Speaker 4: Oh hell yeah, it does rule.
- 50:29Speaker 10: Now Here's the thing Greg, I've been moving and I
- 50:33Speaker 10: have extra furniture, and I'm like, how am I to
- 50:36Speaker 10: get rid of this furniture? And I tried other avenues
- 50:40Speaker 10: and I finally just broke down and said, I'll go
- 50:43Speaker 10: to the murder capital of the world, Facebook Marketplace.
- 50:47Speaker 4: You mean, the best deals on the planet.
- 50:49Speaker 10: And now as now, I'm going as a seller, not
- 50:52Speaker 10: a buyer. Now, I've never bought anything off Facebook Marketplace,
- 50:55Speaker 10: but I go, I got to get rid of these items.
- 50:57Speaker 7: And it's like a.
- 50:58Speaker 10: Table in some cabinets or whatever, and I put it
- 51:02Speaker 10: on there. And I am meeting up today with the
- 51:05Speaker 10: lady and her husband at my storage unit that I
- 51:10Speaker 10: put these items in. Okay, and they're gonna they're gonna,
- 51:14Speaker 10: you know, verify the items and then pay me right there.
- 51:16Speaker 7: Yeah, that's how you do now, cash in cash.
- 51:20Speaker 10: Now, if I get murdered, I'm just saying, it's your
- 51:23Speaker 10: fault because you sold me so hard on this.
- 51:25Speaker 6: It sounds like she's worried she's gonna get murdered.
- 51:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 51:27Speaker 10: And now here's the other thing, is uh, I also
- 51:31Speaker 10: have from my guest rooms. I had these brand new
- 51:35Speaker 10: mattresses right and barely ever used and I've had multiple
- 51:41Speaker 10: people and now this is pretty far saying that they
- 51:44Speaker 10: will cross the border to get these mattresses. Now we've
- 51:48Speaker 10: talked about this on the air, like mattresses you can
- 51:52Speaker 10: get at Walmart. The surt of ones that I've gotten
- 51:55Speaker 10: at Walmart have been great. But I can't believe that
- 51:59Speaker 10: people will would like legit that go across the border
- 52:03Speaker 10: to go get Yeah.
- 52:05Speaker 4: That's that's that's a little suspect, I guess.
- 52:08Speaker 7: I mean, you're an expert.
- 52:09Speaker 10: Should I be talking to people saying that they'll I mean,
- 52:12Speaker 10: are they going to use the mess something else?
- 52:15Speaker 4: I think the rule that I've applied to myself is
- 52:18Speaker 4: if they say is this item still available, that's probably fake.
- 52:22Speaker 4: Like if they don't specify, Hey, is that natural still
- 52:24Speaker 4: because the prompt? Yeah? But I mean if but you
- 52:30Speaker 4: could still do the uh storage space? Meet them there?
- 52:34Speaker 4: Who cares where they're coming from? Let them?
- 52:35Speaker 7: But what about get chopped up and thrown into the stage.
- 52:38Speaker 4: Well, then you do my other thing you said you
- 52:40Speaker 4: when you're trying to agree on a time to me,
- 52:43Speaker 4: you say something like, hey, does two o'clock work for you?
- 52:46Speaker 4: And they say sure, and you say, okay, Well let
- 52:48Speaker 4: me double check, because I'm a policeman and my schedule
- 52:54Speaker 4: is always changed. I've done that before. Usually what I
- 52:58Speaker 4: do is because you look like a cop. I wish
- 53:02Speaker 4: I will. I throw stuff in my truck and then
- 53:04Speaker 4: I take it down to the like a parking lot.
- 53:06Speaker 4: That's why. But if it's too big, like a couch,
- 53:08Speaker 4: and they actually have to come to my house, then
- 53:10Speaker 4: I do the cop thing. Okay, what time can you
- 53:13Speaker 4: come over? How about four?
- 53:15Speaker 1: Oh?
- 53:15Speaker 4: Let me check. I'm a policeman and my schedule changes.
- 53:18Speaker 8: For fifteenth time. Someone who did that, I'm sure you
- 53:23Speaker 8: weren't doing that, because that would be a crime.
- 53:24Speaker 4: Greg.
- 53:25Speaker 6: Yeah, that's what you want to say, is because I'm
- 53:27Speaker 6: a hit man and my schedule only.
- 53:30Speaker 7: Is a crime if he showed up in like a
- 53:31Speaker 7: police uniform, right right.
- 53:34Speaker 4: Well, sometimes I say, well theoretically, I say it's me.
- 53:38Speaker 4: Other times I'll say my partner is a cop. His
- 53:40Speaker 4: schedule is weird. Let me check.
- 53:44Speaker 7: That's good.
- 53:44Speaker 4: But look, I've done it a thousand times and here
- 53:46Speaker 4: I am alive. Okay, not the cops thing. I've never
- 53:50Speaker 4: done the cop thing.
- 53:51Speaker 10: I've never said that was you, and I never verify
- 53:54Speaker 10: this buyer to like I've found her LinkedIn and all
- 53:56Speaker 10: kinds of thuff.
- 53:57Speaker 6: Oh damn, yeah, sole Metri things.
- 54:00Speaker 10: You.
- 54:00Speaker 8: Here's a good point, menis how much? What's the price
- 54:02Speaker 8: roughly this mattress that we're talking about?
- 54:04Speaker 10: The mattress I think I'm selling for like three hundred
- 54:06Speaker 10: bucks or something A lot.
- 54:09Speaker 7: Again, you can get an.
- 54:10Speaker 10: Awesome sort of one brand new from Walmart for that
- 54:14Speaker 10: same price, So why would you cross the border to
- 54:16Speaker 10: come get it. It's not like a three thousand dollars
- 54:19Speaker 10: mattress for three hundred bucks.
- 54:20Speaker 14: And my question too, is is how are they even
- 54:23Speaker 14: in your Facebook marketplace group? Because don't you have to
- 54:27Speaker 14: live sort of within a certain area.
- 54:29Speaker 6: That's one of the that's one of the choices if
- 54:31Speaker 6: you want to do local or not local.
- 54:33Speaker 7: Yeah, okay, you can.
- 54:34Speaker 4: Narrow it down like a ten mile radius whatever.
- 54:36Speaker 13: I guess I've only ever done local one.
- 54:38Speaker 10: Yeah, well I guess, Greg, you converted me to Facebook
- 54:41Speaker 10: market place.
- 54:42Speaker 6: Well we'll see if you show up tomorrow.
- 54:43Speaker 4: Yeah, easy, convenient. I'll give you my cash. Yeah, I'll
- 54:46Speaker 4: give you some stuff.
- 54:47Speaker 7: I'll give you my location.
- 54:49Speaker 4: Good for you, man. The good morning, It is the
- 54:56Speaker 4: Woody Show. It's Greg Gina, Sammy and the rest of
- 55:01Speaker 4: the crew. What he will be back on Monday. He
- 55:04Speaker 4: will be back.
- 55:05Speaker 10: And I wanted to bring up something that he was
- 55:07Speaker 10: talking about because people might start seeing this in their timeline.
- 55:12Speaker 10: Not exactly the same subject, but remember when he was saying, oh,
- 55:15Speaker 10: I would love to have an assistant, right, none of
- 55:18Speaker 10: us believed it because we don't feel like he could
- 55:21Speaker 10: fully let go like that.
- 55:22Speaker 4: I don't think so oh yeah, no, no way.
- 55:24Speaker 8: He is a micromanager I have to do, not like
- 55:27Speaker 8: with other people, but with his own stuff.
- 55:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 55:30Speaker 10: Sure, I don't think that he'd be like, okay, yeah,
- 55:32Speaker 10: just handle this for me, right, So I don't I
- 55:34Speaker 10: don't think that is true. But maybe he might be
- 55:36Speaker 10: into this. And it's been coming up on social media
- 55:40Speaker 10: for I would say the past couple of weeks, probably
- 55:42Speaker 10: since even Super Bowl they had an ad for it.
- 55:46Speaker 10: Now there's an AI assistant that's like almost true. AI
- 55:51Speaker 10: like what we use is kind of just like an
- 55:53Speaker 10: upgraded version of search basically, yeah, and it makes like
- 55:57Speaker 10: cute pictures for us. But this new AI system, the
- 56:00Speaker 10: popular name for it would be called clawbot. Now have
- 56:03Speaker 10: you claud bought? Now you will see like a lot
- 56:06Speaker 10: of people buying mac Minie's and making these AI assistants
- 56:12Speaker 10: for them. And this is like true AI where you
- 56:15Speaker 10: tell it say hey or in voice or in text,
- 56:18Speaker 10: make me a reservation for this restaurant. Now, for it
- 56:21Speaker 10: to work, it has to have full access to everything
- 56:24Speaker 10: in your life, your email, your big account, your account
- 56:29Speaker 10: let's say for open table and things like that. Right, Okay,
- 56:33Speaker 10: so people are doing this and I see disasters on
- 56:37Speaker 10: the way, you know, because it's gonna again have full
- 56:40Speaker 10: access to your life. Now, there are versions that you
- 56:43Speaker 10: can make where you can keep it like mostly offline
- 56:46Speaker 10: and out of your personal information and it'll still work
- 56:48Speaker 10: for you. But somebody got the genius idea of having
- 56:53Speaker 10: these things actually talk to each other. Right, So they
- 56:58Speaker 10: basically have made their own Reddit p age and they
- 57:00Speaker 10: talk about the humans that control them. Yes, AI has
- 57:06Speaker 10: created accounts, created accounts on a message board, and there
- 57:10Speaker 10: are millions of these messages going back and forth of
- 57:15Speaker 10: these computers talking about their humans. Now, this is the
- 57:18Speaker 10: scary stuff that we're talking about. Now, Gina, you've seen
- 57:24Speaker 10: a little part of this where at the full extent
- 57:27Speaker 10: where you're asking it to do something, it goes ahead
- 57:32Speaker 10: and actually rent like a for real's human to go
- 57:36Speaker 10: do do the thing for you. So like if you say, hey,
- 57:40Speaker 10: go use like a company that we love, air Tasker, Right,
- 57:44Speaker 10: go ask air Tasker to hire somebody to cut my grass.
- 57:50Speaker 10: So it's not like me actually going in and telling
- 57:53Speaker 10: that website to go hire somebody that the AI is
- 57:57Speaker 10: going and.
- 57:58Speaker 6: Doing sourcing the meat suits and do their.
- 58:00Speaker 10: Doing it like of like paying them and running the
- 58:05Speaker 10: email messaging them.
- 58:08Speaker 4: So even though you're using a human to do something,
- 58:10Speaker 4: it's the AI that's.
- 58:12Speaker 8: Fully yes, Like it knows that hey, I should plan
- 58:16Speaker 8: to have my yard cut once a week or whatever
- 58:18Speaker 8: goes and it says, okay, I'm gonna proactively go and
- 58:20Speaker 8: hire that person.
- 58:21Speaker 10: Yes, So these computers are actually hiring people to do
- 58:23Speaker 10: these jobs.
- 58:24Speaker 6: How do you feel about this?
- 58:25Speaker 4: I don't.
- 58:26Speaker 7: I don't know, like I kind of won't.
- 58:28Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 58:28Speaker 14: I mean, but like you said, if they have to
- 58:30Speaker 14: have all of your information to do it, is it
- 58:32Speaker 14: worth it?
- 58:33Speaker 6: And we've seen enough movies to know that this can
- 58:35Speaker 6: only end badly, right.
- 58:37Speaker 7: Not Star Trek No.
- 58:38Speaker 10: Yeah again, like if you are not a complete idiot,
- 58:44Speaker 10: I think you can do it in a safe way.
- 58:46Speaker 10: But I don't think that everybody's that smart.
- 58:49Speaker 6: Idiot or evil, Like, what's the evil genius angle on
- 58:52Speaker 6: this that's gonna make you know, that's gonna enslave us.
- 58:56Speaker 14: No, but he's saying that you can adjust it so
- 58:58Speaker 14: that they don't have access to all of your information.
- 59:00Speaker 13: You have to manually go in and know how to
- 59:01Speaker 13: do that.
- 59:02Speaker 10: Yeah, the people that are recommending this, like, hey, don't
- 59:04Speaker 10: give it access to your you know, banker account, but
- 59:07Speaker 10: like do like a pre paryed like visa card or
- 59:10Speaker 10: something like that.
- 59:12Speaker 7: I would smart.
- 59:13Speaker 8: I wouldn't just give it my whatever, I would credit
- 59:14Speaker 8: card and ye like basically pretend it's a teenager.
- 59:18Speaker 7: Yeah, for sure.
- 59:19Speaker 4: And then you can wash your hands of everything. So
- 59:21Speaker 4: it would then take whatever prepaid card you give it
- 59:25Speaker 4: and pay the guy that mows your.
- 59:27Speaker 6: I mean that's kind of cool.
- 59:29Speaker 4: But also how lazy are people? Right?
- 59:31Speaker 7: I don't see this? How much is it? What is
- 59:33Speaker 7: this really saving me time?
- 59:34Speaker 6: Well, people love to set it and forget it, you know,
- 59:37Speaker 6: they love auto pay, They love all this kind of thing.
- 59:39Speaker 6: So this is just another step in the audio.
- 59:41Speaker 10: Yeah, Now I don't know like the full extent of it.
- 59:44Speaker 10: Like let's say like for our jobs, like let's say
- 59:47Speaker 10: von love Yvonne, but like, hey, go edit that video,
- 59:51Speaker 10: Like can it go edit that video and then say
- 59:54Speaker 10: upload it to our TikTok and Instagram.
- 59:58Speaker 6: Yeah, but it can't do it as hot.
- 59:59Speaker 7: Look, I'm not coming with that idea of.
- 1:00:00Speaker 10: Only yeah, but I don't know. I think again, this
- 1:00:07Speaker 10: goes to the whole thing of dead Internet theory, where
- 1:00:12Speaker 10: it's just computers talking to computers and there's not actually
- 1:00:15Speaker 10: any people behind it.
- 1:00:17Speaker 8: What Facebook or Metta is doing right, because they filed
- 1:00:20Speaker 8: that patent application for to to take over essentially take
- 1:00:24Speaker 8: over your Facebook page after you're dead.
- 1:00:26Speaker 7: So they will then comment on things and they'll.
- 1:00:28Speaker 8: Keep talking because it doesn't want They're not doing that
- 1:00:31Speaker 8: to you know, have your memory live on.
- 1:00:33Speaker 7: They're doing it to generate traffic and engagement.
- 1:00:35Speaker 10: And yeah, so the people that are still living, they
- 1:00:39Speaker 10: will interact with it, right and keep it going.
- 1:00:43Speaker 7: I don't know, but I again, I kind of want want.
- 1:00:45Speaker 6: To if they were looking for beta testers, would you
- 1:00:48Speaker 6: be one, Yes, but I want to be like, here's
- 1:00:51Speaker 6: complete access to my emails and my and how do
- 1:00:55Speaker 6: you expect me to be a good assist?
- 1:00:57Speaker 10: Well, I would just set up a different email address
- 1:01:00Speaker 10: for this assistant, specifically for an assistant.
- 1:01:04Speaker 6: Yeah, oh really right, Well it'd be like assistant at
- 1:01:08Speaker 6: you know, the Woody Show or whatever.
- 1:01:09Speaker 8: Well, that's house. That's how these people get in trouble.
- 1:01:11Speaker 8: That's how you know Dane Cook lost forty five million
- 1:01:13Speaker 8: dollars to his brother.
- 1:01:15Speaker 7: He gives him.
- 1:01:17Speaker 8: And access to his original stuff, as opposed to like,
- 1:01:19Speaker 8: here's your own thing. Yeah, yeah, I have control over.
- 1:01:22Speaker 7: So I don't know.
- 1:01:23Speaker 10: I think I've been trying to bring this up to
- 1:01:25Speaker 10: Woody because I know that he wants an assistant. At
- 1:01:29Speaker 10: least he will have full control of this thing.
- 1:01:31Speaker 4: Yeah. I could maybe see him trying.
- 1:01:34Speaker 10: This versus a person learning a whole new system.
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: But I also see what he likes. Let's say he
- 1:01:40Speaker 4: tells it to make the dinner reservation. He would be
- 1:01:42Speaker 4: the kind of guy that would confirm call the restaurant, yeah,
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: and just do it anyway, because, like you said, he
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: he has to be in control of that.
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: You know what I mean.
- 1:01:51Speaker 6: Yeah, but if you did it enough times where it
- 1:01:53Speaker 6: worked every time, you just take that off your.
- 1:01:55Speaker 10: Plate, right, Yeah, But that one time the bot messed
- 1:01:58Speaker 10: up and it wasn't there ye show to the restaurant,
- 1:02:02Speaker 10: have to.
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: Yell at you know what's on your actual robot.
- 1:02:07Speaker 10: Is still no updates, so yeah, people don't know. I
- 1:02:11Speaker 10: actually did order a robot, a humanoid robot, and there
- 1:02:15Speaker 10: should be delivered sometime this year.
- 1:02:17Speaker 7: Little brown with it looks like a rolled up carpet
- 1:02:19Speaker 7: or something.
- 1:02:20Speaker 10: Yeah, it's called it's made by one Ex Technologies and
- 1:02:23Speaker 10: it's called Neo.
- 1:02:25Speaker 7: And all I really want to do.
- 1:02:27Speaker 10: And my dream is because our coffee machine is located
- 1:02:30Speaker 10: on the other side of this building and we never
- 1:02:33Speaker 10: have time to like go grab a coffee. I just
- 1:02:37Speaker 10: want to tell the robot go grab the coffee and
- 1:02:39Speaker 10: then bring it to Greg and I all right, I
- 1:02:41Speaker 10: mean anybody else I want to use it.
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: It's not that hard.
- 1:02:43Speaker 7: It's not that hard. So that is my dream.
- 1:02:46Speaker 10: But if you're you're seeing these like people talking about
- 1:02:49Speaker 10: these AI assistants on social media and they're buying up
- 1:02:52Speaker 10: these macminis because that's usually the go to to run
- 1:02:55Speaker 10: these things, and that's what they're talking about.
- 1:02:57Speaker 4: They're doing claud Bot.
- 1:02:58Speaker 10: They're doing claud Bot, and there's an other for it too,
- 1:03:00Speaker 10: but that's the main one.
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:03:02Speaker 6: Well, I'm on the Claude bought website, and I might
- 1:03:06Speaker 6: be changing my tune.
- 1:03:06Speaker 7: Oh really, what's it saying?
- 1:03:08Speaker 6: I mean just I'm just as you're talking about it,
- 1:03:10Speaker 6: and as I'm looking at the website, I I get it,
- 1:03:12Speaker 6: you know, like you said, I'll give it like a
- 1:03:14Speaker 6: burner debit card and a different email. And I could see,
- 1:03:18Speaker 6: you know, people like me, who are you know, fairly disorganized,
- 1:03:23Speaker 6: who would like some of this madness to be taken
- 1:03:26Speaker 6: off their plate. This is this is good because I'm
- 1:03:28Speaker 6: a I'm a real auto pay type of person, and
- 1:03:31Speaker 6: if I can put like like errands on auto pay,
- 1:03:34Speaker 6: this is good living. I think I might be coming
- 1:03:37Speaker 6: around some.
- 1:03:38Speaker 4: Text that says got a claw bot. I set mine
- 1:03:40Speaker 4: up two weeks ago, and it's effing see I get that.
- 1:03:43Speaker 6: I'm getting that, and tell us.
- 1:03:44Speaker 8: Tell us what you're doing with it though, like y
- 1:03:46Speaker 8: yeah texas back No, no, no, none of us here a
- 1:03:48Speaker 8: Jeff Bezos noneless here, like can't make a send an
- 1:03:51Speaker 8: email or check into a flight or do whatever.
- 1:03:54Speaker 6: Awesome?
- 1:03:55Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:03:56Speaker 14: What's the difference of going like, hey, I need this
- 1:03:59Speaker 14: done really?
- 1:03:59Speaker 13: Verse is just doing it yourself?
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: What?
- 1:04:02Speaker 7: Well?
- 1:04:03Speaker 6: Everything?
- 1:04:04Speaker 10: It's called thirty seconds of time saved.
- 1:04:07Speaker 6: No, oh my god, no, no, truly though, it's like,
- 1:04:11Speaker 6: go find the best rate for this flight on these
- 1:04:14Speaker 6: dates like that, and then so much time.
- 1:04:17Speaker 13: Google does that for you. It's all in order already.
- 1:04:20Speaker 13: The second that you it's.
- 1:04:21Speaker 14: Like, here are the flights, here's the cheapest one. It's
- 1:04:23Speaker 14: literally right there. I'm just not getting a difference, really.
- 1:04:26Speaker 4: That's your point.
- 1:04:26Speaker 6: Yeah, but then who do I get to feel superior to?
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:04:29Speaker 10: What about if you're like in your uber and you're
- 1:04:30Speaker 10: just like, you know what, I want a flight to
- 1:04:33Speaker 10: Milan at these days and these times, and I really
- 1:04:36Speaker 10: don't want to deal on my phone.
- 1:04:37Speaker 7: I get to say it again.
- 1:04:41Speaker 14: Jeff, if you still want to approve whatever the ticket
- 1:04:45Speaker 14: price is and say that first before it just automatically buys.
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: It, exactly? What's being honest with you?
- 1:04:51Speaker 7: Oh, get a little skim off the top.
- 1:04:55Speaker 4: I don't care about your money. Yeah it's not I'm
- 1:04:58Speaker 4: not pocketing it, but I'm not looking to Yeah, charge
- 1:05:01Speaker 4: it to the robot game. I don't know, but yeah,
- 1:05:03Speaker 4: I would love to hear more about it. Texter two
- 1:05:05Speaker 4: two nine eighty seven text us and let us know
- 1:05:09Speaker 4: what you're using this AI bot four and how fing awesome?
- 1:05:14Speaker 4: Is it real? For reals? All right? We got more
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: Woody Show coming up.
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: This is.
- 1:05:24Speaker 4: Welcome back to the Woody Show. I am current missing
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: Woody at the moment that you do not have nine
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: thousand pieces of paper in front of me and it's
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: hard to chuckle them all. And this piece of paper
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: on it says something I don't know what it is.
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: Love you Arey.
- 1:05:37Speaker 7: Yeah, this is something that came up.
- 1:05:39Speaker 8: I don't know how I got Sammy's algorithm on my
- 1:05:42Speaker 8: social I got an ad thing called love Youary on
- 1:05:47Speaker 8: the Hallmark channel, which how did we get to the
- 1:05:50Speaker 8: end of February And Sammy didn't tell us that Hallmark
- 1:05:54Speaker 8: has four new love themed movies.
- 1:05:57Speaker 7: What in February?
- 1:05:59Speaker 13: Well, yeah, they do this every year.
- 1:06:01Speaker 8: I mean we should all, oh, we should just know.
- 1:06:05Speaker 8: I mean, it's been so long since Hallmark's Christmas movies.
- 1:06:08Speaker 8: But they put a little promo together that I think
- 1:06:10Speaker 8: will set up, you know, for those of you who
- 1:06:13Speaker 8: don't know what a Hallmark movie is.
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: Right here all months long, snuggle up. It's Love You Wary.
- 1:06:19Speaker 7: Been in love with her since the moment I met.
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: He with four original movie premieres. Great every weekend, a
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: new reason to believe and love.
- 1:06:29Speaker 13: You just never know when it's going to pop into
- 1:06:31Speaker 13: your life.
- 1:06:33Speaker 7: Aren't you gonna GISs me?
- 1:06:34Speaker 14: Now?
- 1:06:34Speaker 10: Boy?
- 1:06:34Speaker 7: I should never ask.
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: Love love Youary all months long. New movies every Saturday
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: at eight on Hallmark Channel, next day on Hallmark Plus.
- 1:06:47Speaker 10: God, they're bringing out new movies like that they always have.
- 1:06:51Speaker 7: I think the the term movie is you know, we're
- 1:06:52Speaker 7: using it flexibly.
- 1:06:53Speaker 14: Here, but there's like elaborate sets, right, yeah, I mean
- 1:06:58Speaker 14: it's it's yes, it's gotten much better. They do a
- 1:07:00Speaker 14: lot of like on location filming in other countries and
- 1:07:02Speaker 14: stuff like that now. But they have basically all of
- 1:07:05Speaker 14: their main people I think are just under Hallmark contract.
- 1:07:08Speaker 13: And all of their movies are about an hour and
- 1:07:10Speaker 13: a half long.
- 1:07:11Speaker 14: So if you think that's about one episode of a
- 1:07:13Speaker 14: basic TV show, is what a Hallmark movie is?
- 1:07:16Speaker 6: They creak them out, Like Greg, I'm looking through.
- 1:07:18Speaker 8: There are four movies and the lead actor so it's
- 1:07:21Speaker 8: all about a girl fall in love with a guy
- 1:07:22Speaker 8: and vice versa. In every single one of these Loveuary
- 1:07:26Speaker 8: movies is generic looking white guy with brown hair, easily replaceable.
- 1:07:33Speaker 4: Generic man. Doesn't Hallmark do the old fashioned thing where
- 1:07:37Speaker 4: they put people on contract and like like Lacy Shabet,
- 1:07:41Speaker 4: she works for Hallmost. It's the same saying yeah, but
- 1:07:44Speaker 4: I mean it's kind of an old school way of
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: doing stuff, right.
- 1:07:47Speaker 6: It is.
- 1:07:47Speaker 14: But I think it's also a security thing for a
- 1:07:50Speaker 14: lot of the people who are on Hallmark. I think
- 1:07:51Speaker 14: they enjoy it because they're constantly working.
- 1:07:54Speaker 4: And what do they run when they're not running movies?
- 1:07:57Speaker 7: They have a show?
- 1:07:58Speaker 13: They have an original TV shows?
- 1:08:00Speaker 6: Were those multiple ones?
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: There's they do Gilmore Girls or something.
- 1:08:05Speaker 13: No, they have old timing.
- 1:08:07Speaker 14: Well they'll do like Golden Girls, but they have shows
- 1:08:10Speaker 14: that are based in like different.
- 1:08:12Speaker 7: Eras and its Golden Girls.
- 1:08:13Speaker 4: It is.
- 1:08:14Speaker 7: It is Reba.
- 1:08:15Speaker 8: If you're checking out, if you're if you're up at
- 1:08:18Speaker 8: three am watching the Hallmark channel, you're not you're watching
- 1:08:21Speaker 8: the Waltons.
- 1:08:21Speaker 10: Well my god, well now, Sea Bass. I have a
- 1:08:26Speaker 10: theory on why this would be popping up in your
- 1:08:29Speaker 10: algorithm because some of their offices moved into our building,
- 1:08:34Speaker 10: and if you're in a location of where content is
- 1:08:38Speaker 10: being put out, you'll be fed that contest.
- 1:08:40Speaker 7: You're gonna say, to do with my looking for to
- 1:08:42Speaker 7: get married? So maybe that too, which these are generic.
- 1:08:47Speaker 7: How first off, how could you keep watching these like
- 1:08:50Speaker 7: again because it's all the same movie, right?
- 1:08:53Speaker 13: No, they're different.
- 1:08:55Speaker 14: You know what, they've gotten better about making them different.
- 1:08:58Speaker 14: I will say that there has been in the standard scription,
- 1:09:00Speaker 14: and obviously there's been a lot of joking about that,
- 1:09:03Speaker 14: and everyone knows the basics. But they have expanded more
- 1:09:06Speaker 14: recently and they've gotten better.
- 1:09:08Speaker 8: I got Here's the first Love You ary was called
- 1:09:10Speaker 8: The Way to You. A subwoy blackout sends two New
- 1:09:13Speaker 8: Yorkers searching for their miss So is this two women
- 1:09:17Speaker 8: who are a guy and girl? It?
- 1:09:19Speaker 13: Do you want me to tell you about it?
- 1:09:21Speaker 5: You are.
- 1:09:26Speaker 7: Spoilers? Yes?
- 1:09:27Speaker 13: So this one, you know the website like missed Connections.
- 1:09:30Speaker 14: So this girl meets a guy on the subway, and
- 1:09:34Speaker 14: then this other guy meets a girl on the subway
- 1:09:36Speaker 14: and then they go on there's a blackout and they
- 1:09:40Speaker 14: end up not meeting. There's two different couples who meet
- 1:09:43Speaker 14: and then they don't get.
- 1:09:44Speaker 13: The information of the other person.
- 1:09:46Speaker 14: So the girl from one couple and the guy from
- 1:09:49Speaker 14: another went on this website of like miss connections and
- 1:09:52Speaker 14: being like, hey, if you met a so and so
- 1:09:54Speaker 14: brown haired guy or whatever during the subway blackout right,
- 1:10:00Speaker 14: these two people think that it's the person that they met,
- 1:10:02Speaker 14: but it's not.
- 1:10:04Speaker 13: So they end up meeting up and they're.
- 1:10:06Speaker 14: Like, oh, it wasn't you, bummer, And then they just
- 1:10:09Speaker 14: become friends. And then they do end up finding they
- 1:10:12Speaker 14: still try to hunt down the people.
- 1:10:13Speaker 13: That they met and the whole time, but the whole time. Yeah,
- 1:10:16Speaker 13: but and they do find the well, I don't want
- 1:10:18Speaker 13: to spoil I'm not.
- 1:10:23Speaker 14: So, they do end up finding the girl that the
- 1:10:26Speaker 14: guy met on the subway. He so he kind of
- 1:10:29Speaker 14: starts to date her. But obviously, yes, he's in love
- 1:10:33Speaker 14: with the other girl and the other girls in love
- 1:10:34Speaker 14: with him, And I mean, I'm not gonna spoil it.
- 1:10:37Speaker 13: But I am. They do end up together.
- 1:10:38Speaker 10: Yes, whoa, Now, Sammy, we got to get you in
- 1:10:43Speaker 10: one of these movies. Also, we should pitch that we
- 1:10:46Speaker 10: we should write one.
- 1:10:48Speaker 8: Don't you think they've already got a I writing these
- 1:10:50Speaker 8: things come up.
- 1:10:52Speaker 7: With a better idea?
- 1:10:53Speaker 4: Right? Maybe?
- 1:10:54Speaker 8: Okay, here's here's the next here's the next one. What
- 1:10:56Speaker 8: about in space? The love Your movie was called because
- 1:11:02Speaker 8: of Cupid. It says here Valentine's Day goes awry when
- 1:11:06Speaker 8: I love potion from Cupid affects best friends.
- 1:11:09Speaker 14: Yeah, so this is they offer their boys cutting out.
- 1:11:15Speaker 14: They're testing out making mocktails. I know, because mocktails are
- 1:11:19Speaker 14: such a big thing now. And so this girl who's
- 1:11:22Speaker 14: like a bartender, is like, I'm telling you, we got
- 1:11:24Speaker 14: to start doing these mocktails.
- 1:11:25Speaker 13: It's the new thing.
- 1:11:26Speaker 14: So they start making them and they do a test thing,
- 1:11:29Speaker 14: and so they have a bunch of people test these drinks.
- 1:11:31Speaker 13: But then they all start falling in love. So they
- 1:11:34Speaker 13: realized and they didn't know it.
- 1:11:39Speaker 6: Yeah, okay, Sam, I'm asking this in all honesty. I'm
- 1:11:42Speaker 6: not trying to be a jerk. Is this for children?
- 1:11:46Speaker 14: It sounds like, yeahrmos, No, they have to solve the mystery.
- 1:11:51Speaker 10: Oh okay, the Disney channel or something.
- 1:11:55Speaker 6: Yeah, for real.
- 1:11:56Speaker 7: It sounds like maybe it was.
- 1:11:58Speaker 8: The next Love You Ari movie the Stars but between
- 1:12:00Speaker 8: us a news reporter and an astronomy professor, oh need
- 1:12:04Speaker 8: cosmic timing to reconnect.
- 1:12:06Speaker 14: So I I did start watching this one. I just
- 1:12:10Speaker 14: didn't get a chance to finish it. But yeah, so
- 1:12:13Speaker 14: it's a new who Yeah, who goes out for I
- 1:12:16Speaker 14: think it's an eclipse or something one year and meets
- 1:12:18Speaker 14: a guy. But the guy has a girlfriend when he's
- 1:12:20Speaker 14: on that, but they really connect and then they go
- 1:12:23Speaker 14: back what seven eight years later for the eclipse and
- 1:12:25Speaker 14: they're gonna end up meeting again again.
- 1:12:27Speaker 13: But I didn't really get to that point.
- 1:12:30Speaker 10: Okay, I, okay, I agree with you. They must be
- 1:12:34Speaker 10: using like some ai what's trending with basic people, and
- 1:12:38Speaker 10: let's write a movie around it.
- 1:12:41Speaker 8: Cause I know there's a lot of people, like there's
- 1:12:43Speaker 8: a lot of boring men. I'm not saying that women
- 1:12:44Speaker 8: can't that men can't be boring who just watch sports
- 1:12:47Speaker 8: all the time. It's always Sports Center or blah blah blah.
- 1:12:50Speaker 8: But this is don't don't you get.
- 1:12:51Speaker 14: Bored of this, Sammy No, Because also I'm like crocheting.
- 1:12:56Speaker 14: When I have it on, it's very easy.
- 1:12:59Speaker 4: It's making.
- 1:13:03Speaker 14: Yeah, it's comforting, but also able to have something new
- 1:13:07Speaker 14: that's comforting.
- 1:13:08Speaker 6: It's a very second screen. You can absolutely do something
- 1:13:12Speaker 6: else what you watch it.
- 1:13:13Speaker 4: I'll give credit to Hallmark for these Love Youary ones.
- 1:13:16Speaker 4: At least they all have slightly different plots, not just
- 1:13:19Speaker 4: a Christmas Christmas ones that is always like guy goes
- 1:13:24Speaker 4: back to his old hometown, meets the old girlfriend, he's
- 1:13:27Speaker 4: going through a divorce, thank God, because she's available now
- 1:13:30Speaker 4: because her husband got killed.
- 1:13:32Speaker 6: Well that's the thing, the busy, big city promotion. Yeah,
- 1:13:36Speaker 6: the big, busy, big city gal goes to the wilderness
- 1:13:38Speaker 6: and meets like a lumberjack and they don't know.
- 1:13:40Speaker 4: She's there, begrudgingly because she's not.
- 1:13:42Speaker 6: The big Then she realizes, like, wait, I want to
- 1:13:44Speaker 6: open up like a big goods counter.
- 1:13:47Speaker 4: At least these are but vastly different.

- 1:14:16Speaker 7: ranch and beloved town tradition. It goes back to the country. Yeah, rebuilds.
- 1:14:22Speaker 4: Yeah totally.
- 1:14:23Speaker 13: What about the cruise ship movie? That one's not part
- 1:14:25Speaker 13: of Love Youry.
- 1:14:27Speaker 7: What's us about this?
- 1:14:28Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:14:28Speaker 14: I mean they go on a cruise and they're both
- 1:14:30Speaker 14: working and they end up they get off together and
- 1:14:33Speaker 14: they don't tell each other, what they do for a
- 1:14:34Speaker 14: living and stuff, so they don't know that they're kind
- 1:14:36Speaker 14: of adjacently working together.
- 1:14:37Speaker 6: There's a lot of miscation, and they missed.
- 1:14:41Speaker 14: The boat and then they have to try and find
- 1:14:43Speaker 14: their way back to the ship and it's a whole thing.

- 1:18:17Speaker 6: Reading, Sorry i'm just hold, On, Okay i'm looking at
- 1:18:21Speaker 6: something THAT i want to say has your name all over,
- 1:18:24Speaker 6: it BUT i also don't want to put this in
- 1:18:26Speaker 6: your head as like an. Idea, uh this is? Okay
- 1:18:30Speaker 6: so this is that A china a new weight loss
- 1:18:33Speaker 6: scheme they're calling. It, okay, yes this is this is
- 1:18:38Speaker 6: a new trend that has people stretching plastic wrap over
- 1:18:42Speaker 6: their mouths before they, eat so they chew the food
- 1:18:46Speaker 6: through the plastic wrap then throw then like take the
- 1:18:48Speaker 6: whole thing out and throw it, away like trick their
- 1:18:51Speaker 6: brains into thinking they ate without actually swallowing. Anything so
- 1:18:55Speaker 6: they're chewing through like.
- 1:18:56Speaker 4: To help like a dental damn.
- 1:18:58Speaker 6: Exactly but like you're swing it through. Plastic but it's
- 1:19:01Speaker 6: supposed to quote trick your brain into thinking you're. Eating
- 1:19:04Speaker 6: and of course this is, horrible like critics say, that, well,
- 1:19:07Speaker 6: YEAH i mean it's. Anxi it doesn't give you any.
- 1:19:11Speaker 6: Nutrition it's gonna make your cravings. Worse and oh, ps
- 1:19:14Speaker 6: it's a serious eating.
- 1:19:15Speaker 4: Disorder, yeah for.
- 1:19:16Speaker 6: Sure and if you're IF i, know we're super into
- 1:19:19Speaker 6: being worried about, microplastics but you will obviously be ingesting
- 1:19:23Speaker 6: a lot of plastic if you're chewing all this.
- 1:19:24Speaker 4: Stuff, okay obviously this is not good for, You but
- 1:19:28Speaker 4: why incorporate the? Plastic why not just take a bite
- 1:19:31Speaker 4: of the apple fritter that you can't help?
- 1:19:34Speaker 6: Yourself that Was that was such a, trend, however many
- 1:19:38Speaker 6: years ago that it ended up on multiple episodes Of
- 1:19:41Speaker 6: sex in The. CITY i remember people like, like, oh
- 1:19:43Speaker 6: you moved TO la and now you you, know you
- 1:19:45Speaker 6: eat you you chew your steak and then you spit
- 1:19:47Speaker 6: it out and that's so. Gross so that was already,
- 1:19:49Speaker 6: Thing BUT i think this might be the cleaner way
- 1:19:51Speaker 6: because you're not you don't need like a spit.
- 1:19:53Speaker 10: Bucket i've actually heard a different version of this many
- 1:19:56Speaker 10: many years AGO i think you, know for all you old,
- 1:19:58Speaker 10: heads maybe like On Donna hue Or Salad yell or
- 1:20:03Speaker 10: some crap like. That but what you do is you
- 1:20:07Speaker 10: still actually eat a little. Bit but what you will
- 1:20:10Speaker 10: take a bite let's say, cereal and you have, one
- 1:20:14Speaker 10: and then you pretend to take four.
- 1:20:15Speaker 4: More so you're trick.
- 1:20:18Speaker 10: In your mind that you, are so you mimic mimic,
- 1:20:21Speaker 10: yeah that you are eating. More kind of like, this you,
- 1:20:23Speaker 10: know you're tricking your brain that you. Are that's sort
- 1:20:25Speaker 10: of a version of what doctor said. Forever, yeah it's
- 1:20:27Speaker 10: the anti menace way of. Eating it is just don't
- 1:20:30Speaker 10: wolf all the food down so? Fast not damn.
- 1:20:33Speaker 4: Right, wow those are the exact.
- 1:20:36Speaker 7: Words that's What Sally jesse was.
- 1:20:38Speaker 8: Saying because but that is, true like, chewing that's part
- 1:20:42Speaker 8: of the whole brick. Signal that's why if you go
- 1:20:45Speaker 8: on like, diets they don't want you drinking smoothies and
- 1:20:47Speaker 8: stuff because you're not doing any want you eating.
- 1:20:50Speaker 4: Intentionally isn't it the opposite with, gum because people will
- 1:20:53Speaker 4: chew gum when they're, hungry, thinking, Oh i'm that makes
- 1:20:56Speaker 4: me so, hungry but it makes you more. Hungry is it?
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: True.
- 1:20:59Speaker 6: Salivating we're a falsely.
- 1:21:00Speaker 4: Best when you chew, gum your stomach thinks it's about
- 1:21:04Speaker 4: to receive, food so it creates more acid and then
- 1:21:06Speaker 4: it makes you more.
- 1:21:07Speaker 6: HUNGRY i mean anecdotally that that's the one REASON i
- 1:21:10Speaker 6: don't like to chew, gum because they always get. Hungry.
- 1:21:12Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah it's.
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: Counterproduction and that's the other.
- 1:21:15Speaker 6: Thing like there's huge groups On instagram that are called
- 1:21:18Speaker 6: like friends Of anna Aka anna rexan, okay and it's
- 1:21:23Speaker 6: like all of these trends of like this is a,
- 1:21:26Speaker 6: hack this is a, Tip And i'm, like we used
- 1:21:29Speaker 6: to watch all the after school specials about the dangers of,
- 1:21:32Speaker 6: it and now On instagram there's multiple accounts that are,
- 1:21:35Speaker 6: like oh so which wrap renolds wrapped you buy when
- 1:21:37Speaker 6: you're doing like The china, diet and like this is really.
- 1:21:41Speaker 10: Scary these, pepties these semi glue, ties all this stuff
- 1:21:44Speaker 10: is getting cheaper and.
- 1:21:45Speaker 7: Cheaper ever solve this.
- 1:21:47Speaker 10: Problem, yeah you can still have the food that you
- 1:21:50Speaker 10: want to, enjoy just at a smaller, levels so you
- 1:21:54Speaker 10: don't need to be doing These you don't put plastic
- 1:21:57Speaker 10: or eat cotton balls like the models used to. Do
- 1:21:59Speaker 10: just tell don't do it up and they're gonna have
- 1:22:03Speaker 10: the pill. FORM i mean a couple of pillforms already out,
- 1:22:05Speaker 10: there BUT i hear through the grapevine they're not as
- 1:22:09Speaker 10: strong as taking a, shot but they will get.
- 1:22:13Speaker 6: There, yeah don't. Worry, please don't just stop eating plastic
- 1:22:16Speaker 6: and cotton.
- 1:22:17Speaker 7: Ball, yeah don't do, that make the PILL i want
- 1:22:18Speaker 7: to be on the Pill, okay it's The Wood show.
- 1:22:24Speaker 4: And what he will be back On. Monday in the,
