- 0:26SPEAKER_08: Because it's a separate community.
- 0:29SPEAKER_08: It's a separate world.
- 0:30SPEAKER_08: We have our own language.
- 0:31SPEAKER_08: It's the same with thing with legal or any profession, right?
- 0:34SPEAKER_08: You got your own way of relate to which how do we get through the day dealing with the tough things we see?
- 0:39SPEAKER_08: And we feel like folks outside of that world won't really get it.
- 0:43SPEAKER_08: There's a comfort level there, there's a camaraderie there.
- 0:47SPEAKER_08: And so it happens a lot.
- 0:49SPEAKER_07: And also, don't you guys spend an awful lot of time in that hospital, especially when you're training?
- 0:54SPEAKER_08: Awful lot of time together.
- 0:56SPEAKER_08: You're talking 12 plus hours, you're talking odd hours.
- 0:59SPEAKER_08: We're pulling all nighters.
- 1:01SPEAKER_08: Back in the day, before they stopped, we would do 24, 36 hour shifts.
- 1:05SPEAKER_08: Right.
- 1:05SPEAKER_08: And so that's that's a lot.
- 1:07SPEAKER_08: And then there's the things we do outside of there together when we do the conferences, where we're doing different kind of training.
- 1:12SPEAKER_08: So uh work wife is a thing.
- 1:14SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 1:15SPEAKER_08: Yeah.

- 1:32SPEAKER_05: He's a nurse and he works with a lot of girl nurses.
- 1:35SPEAKER_05: And these are two birthday shout-outs I gave him on Instagram.
- 1:39SPEAKER_05: Let me know what you think.

- 1:43SPEAKER_09: I don't know what to do.
- 1:49SPEAKER_01: Madison, what do those words say?
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: Happy birthday to the one who keeps my ass in check.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: First ER friend.
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: Break buddy.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: Work hubby.
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: Locker buddy.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: Papa Smurf.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: Love you, homie.
- 2:04SPEAKER_07: That's a whole lot of language.
- 2:06SPEAKER_07: That's a whole lot of buddies.
- 2:07SPEAKER_07: Isn't it though?
- 2:09SPEAKER_07: Isn't it though?
- 2:10SPEAKER_07: Let me let's let's finish the tape and see how she responded.
- 2:13SPEAKER_07: I she said she didn't know what to think.
- 2:15SPEAKER_07: I think I know what to think.
- 2:17SPEAKER_07: But let's let's see what she thinks.
- 2:22SPEAKER_05: This just doesn't sit well.
- 2:24SPEAKER_05: The words?
- 2:25SPEAKER_05: Show me.
- 2:26SPEAKER_05: The comfortness level.
- 2:29SPEAKER_05: Like what happened to hey, happy birthday?
- 2:34SPEAKER_09: What?
- 2:36SPEAKER_07: Am I just tripping?
- 2:37SPEAKER_07: What is what what are they saying here, uh Madison?
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: It's our fave Zaddy.
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: Al's birthday today.
- 2:45SPEAKER_01: Happy birthday.
- 2:48SPEAKER_07: Well, that wasn't too bad.
- 2:50SPEAKER_07: Zaddy?
- 2:51SPEAKER_07: Well, what does Zaddy mean?
- 2:52SPEAKER_07: Zaddy is a sexy daddy.
- 2:55SPEAKER_07: I'm showing my age.
- 2:58SPEAKER_07: Now, see here, you got a boomer in the room.
- 3:02SPEAKER_07: You know, and Zaddy.
- 3:05SPEAKER_08: Zaddy.
- 3:06SPEAKER_07: That's what that's what happens when you don't know the link of.
- 3:08SPEAKER_08: Zaddy is that.
- 3:09SPEAKER_07: Zaddy is that sexy daddy.
- 3:10SPEAKER_08: Zaddy's crossing the line.
- 3:11SPEAKER_08: Zaddy crosses the line.
- 3:12SPEAKER_07: Zaddy crosses the line and the entire, the first entire one cross the line.
- 3:17SPEAKER_07: All of those, my brick buddy, my this, that keeps my behind in check.
- 3:21SPEAKER_07: All of that was too much.
- 3:23SPEAKER_08: You might as well say he's my everything.
- 3:26SPEAKER_08: Isn't that what she's saying?
- 3:27SPEAKER_08: That's what she's saying.
- 3:28SPEAKER_07: That's what she's saying.
- 3:29SPEAKER_07: And I know how to feel about it.
- 3:31SPEAKER_07: I would not like it.
- 3:32SPEAKER_08: I think she knows exactly how she used to feel about it.
- 3:36SPEAKER_07: And I would tell him, not her.
- 3:38SPEAKER_07: You never tell her.
- 3:39SPEAKER_07: You tell the person that you're in a relationship with.
- 3:42SPEAKER_07: Say, hey, what's going on at work?
- 3:44SPEAKER_07: Right.
- 3:44SPEAKER_07: I don't like all this closeness.
- 3:46SPEAKER_07: Yeah, that's not.
- 3:46SPEAKER_07: What's going on?
- 3:47SPEAKER_08: And look at the body language, right?
- 3:48SPEAKER_08: 80% of what we do is through body language.
- 3:51SPEAKER_08: They are all real comfortable in how they are relating to the Zazaddy.
- 3:58SPEAKER_08: Hey, Zaddy.
- 3:59SPEAKER_08: In those pictures right there, right?
- 4:01SPEAKER_08: Zaddy.
- 4:02SPEAKER_08: Oh.
- 4:02SPEAKER_08: New word for the old lady.
- 4:04SPEAKER_08: Oh, so I don't.
- 4:05SPEAKER_08: So what's her fix?
- 4:06SPEAKER_08: I think she's got to say something to him, right?
- 4:08SPEAKER_07: She's got to say something to him.
- 4:09SPEAKER_07: Don't come up mad.
- 4:10SPEAKER_07: Don't come up crazy.
- 4:11SPEAKER_07: Come up.
- 4:12SPEAKER_08: Right.
- 4:13SPEAKER_07: Would you like it if I did that?
- 4:14SPEAKER_07: That's right.
- 4:15SPEAKER_08: That's right.
- 4:16SPEAKER_07: You know, it's it's uncomfortable for me.
- 4:18SPEAKER_08: Right, right, right, right, right.
- 4:19SPEAKER_08: If would you like it if where I showed up at my place of business or where I go during the day, and a really good male friend of mine said, This is this is my sexy mommy right here.
- 4:30SPEAKER_08: Happy birthday.
- 4:31SPEAKER_07: Is there is there a female component uh counterpart to Zaddy?
- 4:35SPEAKER_08: Uh well, not as such, okay.
- 4:39SPEAKER_08: There's the whole, you know, the the moms who I'd like to date kind of thing.
- 4:43SPEAKER_08: There's the whole the whole MILF thing and that kind of stuff, right?
- 4:46SPEAKER_08: But not necessarily.
- 4:48SPEAKER_08: Zaddy is a new thing as a lot of the younger ladies are looking to date older guys and they got a really cute, cuddly term for it.
- 4:56SPEAKER_08: And he looks like, I don't know what's worse, calling him Zaddy or calling him Papa Smurf.
- 5:05SPEAKER_08: Because Papa Smurf, that is a very endearing thing.
- 5:09SPEAKER_08: Papa Smurf.
- 5:10SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 5:11SPEAKER_07: That's very endearing.
- 5:12SPEAKER_07: But we saw that last night when we went out to meet.
- 5:15SPEAKER_08: That's right, we did.
- 5:16SPEAKER_07: Uh, you know, vast age difference.
- 5:19SPEAKER_07: Young ladies, older dudes.
- 5:22SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 5:23SPEAKER_08: She looked, she looked like she was happy and present in the moment.
- 5:26SPEAKER_08: And he looked the same.
- 5:27SPEAKER_08: Zaddy looked satisfied.
- 5:29SPEAKER_08: Yeah, he did.
- 5:30SPEAKER_08: Yes, he did.
- 5:31SPEAKER_08: Ah.
- 5:32SPEAKER_08: So you got you gotta you gotta talk about it and in a way where it says, hey, I'm not accusing you of anything at all, but it sure did, it didn't make me feel comfortable.
- 5:42SPEAKER_08: Right.
- 5:42SPEAKER_08: And I just want to bring that to your attention.
- 5:43SPEAKER_08: Now, what what you and I don't have an ask here.
- 5:46SPEAKER_08: I just want to bring that to your attention.
- 5:48SPEAKER_08: And I'm gonna do that.
- 5:50SPEAKER_07: You got it.
- 5:50SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 5:50SPEAKER_07: Do you do you show me some respect because it's not like I can't do it because he doesn't want me to?
- 5:57SPEAKER_07: I don't want to do it because it bothers him.
- 5:59SPEAKER_07: Right.
- 5:59SPEAKER_07: Exactly.
- 6:00SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 6:00SPEAKER_07: So what's the judgment call on this one, Ish?
- 6:03SPEAKER_08: I mean, um, judgment call is for the wife.
- 6:06SPEAKER_08: Do we have a term?
- 6:07SPEAKER_08: Well, so if we've got a work wife, do we have what do we call work husband?
- 6:12SPEAKER_08: The wife wife?
- 6:12SPEAKER_08: I don't know.
- 6:13SPEAKER_08: The wife?
- 6:14SPEAKER_08: Is she the outside wife?
- 6:15SPEAKER_08: Is she the I don't understand?
- 6:17SPEAKER_08: I don't know.
- 6:17SPEAKER_08: We gotta figure what are you guys?
- 6:18SPEAKER_08: Is there uh what are we missing here?
- 6:20SPEAKER_08: So if we've got a work wife and a work husband, what do you guys call the husband husband or the wife wife?
- 6:26SPEAKER_08: Right?
- 6:27SPEAKER_08: We want to know because I don't know.
- 6:28SPEAKER_08: Is there a term?
- 6:29SPEAKER_07: Yeah, I think judgment for the outside wife, you know.
- 6:31SPEAKER_07: Yeah, absolutely, because she's she has a reason to be uncomfortable.
- 6:36SPEAKER_07: She does, not angry, but uncomfortable.
- 6:38SPEAKER_08: She does.
- 6:39SPEAKER_08: As she's riding in the car with their kid with the bloom birthdays in the back.
- 6:44SPEAKER_08: In the backdrop.
- 6:47SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 6:48SPEAKER_07: Judgment for the wife-wife.
- 6:50SPEAKER_03: The wife-wife.
- 6:51SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 6:52SPEAKER_03: Judgment call.
- 6:54SPEAKER_02: My husband just got a text from somebody named Work Wife in his phone.
- 6:59SPEAKER_02: Um, he's out golfing with the boys right now.
- 7:01SPEAKER_02: But what did he leave here?
- 7:03SPEAKER_02: His Apple Watch.
- 7:04SPEAKER_02: And yeah, I'm sitting in bed and it's just going off and vibrating.
- 7:08SPEAKER_02: So, of course, I look over at it and I see that he got a text message from Work Wife.
- 7:14SPEAKER_02: So I'm like, what the fuck?
- 7:15SPEAKER_02: And I was like, I am definitely figuring out that pin.
- 7:18SPEAKER_02: Let me tell you, it wasn't hard because he's a man.
- 7:22SPEAKER_02: So I open up the message and it says, Hey, what hole are you boys at?
- 7:28SPEAKER_02: With a winky face.
- 7:29SPEAKER_08: I was in that.
- 7:32SPEAKER_02: Like, I I'm very upset because who the f is this and why is she under work wife on your phone?
- 7:40SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 7:41SPEAKER_02: I'm not telling this man that I've seen this.
- 7:43SPEAKER_02: I'm not, but I'm gonna get him to come home early.
- 7:46SPEAKER_02: So what I did was I took a picture.
- 7:49SPEAKER_02: I I stripped on, put a spicy cube right in my mouth, like as if I was gonna take it.
- 7:55SPEAKER_07: Where is she gonna get into early?
- 7:57SPEAKER_08: So, husband's out golfing, and work wife sends him a message saying, What hole are you boys at?
- 8:07SPEAKER_07: Wink wink.
- 8:08SPEAKER_08: Wink wink.
- 8:10SPEAKER_07: But what was she saying at the very end there, Madison?
- 8:14SPEAKER_07: Did I miss it?
- 8:17SPEAKER_08: Yeah, let's run that back.
- 8:18SPEAKER_07: She said something about I'm not gonna tell him, and I got it.
- 8:21SPEAKER_08: Let's see what her plan is.
- 8:24SPEAKER_02: Get him to come home early.
- 8:25SPEAKER_02: So what I did was I took a picture.
- 8:27SPEAKER_02: I I stripped down, put a spicy cube right in my mouth, like as if I was gonna take it.
- 8:34SPEAKER_02: Snap a little picture, send it to him.
- 8:36SPEAKER_02: This is the only way I'll get this man to come home from golf early.
- 8:40SPEAKER_02: And my anxiety can't handle this.
- 8:42SPEAKER_02: Like, my heart is like pounding because who's like what is going on?
- 8:46SPEAKER_02: Not six hours from now.
- 8:48SPEAKER_02: I need an explanation now.
- 8:49SPEAKER_02: So he immediately comes up with an excuse for the guys.
- 8:52SPEAKER_02: He's like, I'll tell the guys that like there's an emergency.
- 8:55SPEAKER_02: I'll be home in 20.
- 8:56SPEAKER_02: That man is about to pull up, and um, I'm not gonna lie, I don't know.
- 9:00SPEAKER_02: I'm not sure what I'm supposed to say now.
- 9:03SPEAKER_02: I don't even know how to confront him about I don't I don't know how to go about this, but I'm like shaking.
- 9:08SPEAKER_02: Like I am so upset.
- 9:10SPEAKER_02: I'm like shaking.
- 9:11SPEAKER_02: I do when he comes in genuinely.
- 9:15SPEAKER_07: You know, I never understood how technology makes us so dumb.
- 9:20SPEAKER_07: Why would you put a work wife on your uh as a contact on your phone?
- 9:26SPEAKER_07: Don't make no sense.
- 9:27SPEAKER_07: You know, hey baby, you got a problem here.
- 9:30SPEAKER_07: I mean, that's why would you do that?
- 9:33SPEAKER_07: Well, okay, so I hear what you're saying.
- 9:35SPEAKER_08: I'm gonna take the opposite stance.
- 9:36SPEAKER_08: So maybe, maybe I don't mind that because he knows at some point work wife is gonna call or text.
- 9:44SPEAKER_08: He knows at some point wife is gonna see that.
- 9:46SPEAKER_08: So maybe that's a way of saying, hey, this is not anything I'm trying to hide for you.
- 9:50SPEAKER_08: It's a cutesy thing.
- 9:52SPEAKER_08: And this may give us entree to actually talk about it and I get to see if you like it or not, or if I should change that.
- 9:57SPEAKER_07: You're giving that man way too much credit.
- 10:00SPEAKER_07: I am so sorry.
- 10:01SPEAKER_07: He put up work wife on there because it was convenient for him.
- 10:03SPEAKER_07: He was not trying to do a subliminal subliminal message to his wife about, you know, I'm so sure and all that.
- 10:11SPEAKER_07: I I appreciate the efforts you made on his behalf.
- 10:13SPEAKER_08: I'm trying to hang in there for him.
- 10:15SPEAKER_08: I really am.
- 10:15SPEAKER_07: I appreciate the efforts you made on his behalf.
- 10:18SPEAKER_07: But uh whoo! Now she needs to get over the anger, though.
- 10:23SPEAKER_07: I know people are always talking about that.
- 10:25SPEAKER_07: You know, you have the right to be angry.
- 10:26SPEAKER_07: Yep.
- 10:27SPEAKER_07: And that thing would make you angry.
- 10:30SPEAKER_07: But is anger the thing that is going to get you what you want, which is a productive conversation and maybe a concession here or there?
- 10:38SPEAKER_07: And anger usually doesn't get that.
- 10:40SPEAKER_07: It gets you defensiveness, it gets you an argument.
- 10:43SPEAKER_07: But you can be serious and quiet.
- 10:46SPEAKER_07: I don't like that.
- 10:47SPEAKER_07: Yeah, it wasn't cool.
- 10:49SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 10:49SPEAKER_07: Well, what do you have to say?
- 10:51SPEAKER_08: Which works much better because when you come angry, all I'm listening for is the part where you blame me for something.
- 10:58SPEAKER_08: So my shield's up.
- 10:59SPEAKER_07: Right.
- 10:59SPEAKER_08: And I'm not really listening, I'm just waiting to see how I'm gonna respond.
- 11:02SPEAKER_07: Right now, you know, and I'm looking for a point I can defend.
- 11:04SPEAKER_07: You got it may not be the main point, but if you say something that I can defend, I'm gonna go ahead and defend it.
- 11:09SPEAKER_07: That's how you end up off-subject, off-topic, and you arguing just to be arguing.
- 11:13SPEAKER_07: Yeah, yeah.
- 11:14SPEAKER_07: This work wife thing.
- 11:15SPEAKER_08: It's it's serious.
- 11:16SPEAKER_08: Now she's got she's created another problem for herself.
- 11:18SPEAKER_08: Now, I have empathy for her because she's like, listen, this is she's vulnerable.
- 11:22SPEAKER_08: She's like, this made me feel insecure.
- 11:24SPEAKER_08: I'm having an anxiety attack, I'm feeling vulnerable.
- 11:26SPEAKER_08: And she came up with a plan.
- 11:28SPEAKER_08: Not the best plan in this world.
- 11:30SPEAKER_08: The best, right?
- 11:32SPEAKER_08: I'm gonna send him a nude with a spicy cube, right?
- 11:36SPEAKER_08: Spicy cube again.
- 11:38SPEAKER_08: We're back at the end.
- 11:38SPEAKER_07: We're back.
- 11:39SPEAKER_07: Another, another new thing that I had to learn for back.
- 11:41SPEAKER_08: Spicy cubes to the rescue again.
- 11:43SPEAKER_08: So, but it's it's the bait and switch, right?
- 11:46SPEAKER_08: Because what she's not in the mood for right now is a romp in the bedroom.
- 11:51SPEAKER_07: That's the last thing she wants.
- 11:52SPEAKER_08: So when he gets home, how does that work?
- 11:55SPEAKER_08: Right?
- 11:55SPEAKER_08: I'm no longer nude with a spicy cube.
- 11:58SPEAKER_08: I'm in my sweats and we need to have a conversation.
- 12:00SPEAKER_08: So, what you don't want to do is ambush somebody when you're really having trying to have a serious talk.
- 12:05SPEAKER_07: Yeah, yeah.
- 12:05SPEAKER_07: And that's what she's doing.
- 12:06SPEAKER_07: She's ambushing him with that.
- 12:08SPEAKER_07: So, I mean, he was wrong.
- 12:10SPEAKER_07: The judgment rolls against him because he was wrong to have a work wife, and that work wife is apparently much too, much, much, much too comfortable within what hole are you at?
- 12:21SPEAKER_08: As wink wink.
- 12:22SPEAKER_08: As as young folks, dead ass wrong.
- 12:24SPEAKER_08: She's dead ass wrong for that.
- 12:26SPEAKER_08: That is, you do not, there is innuendo, and there is a flat out insinuation.
- 12:31SPEAKER_08: Yeah, and that was just too much.
- 12:32SPEAKER_08: That's a lot.
- 12:33SPEAKER_08: That's a lot.
- 12:34SPEAKER_08: Him thinking about her holes, that's a lot.
- 12:36SPEAKER_08: That's a lot.
- 12:37SPEAKER_07: That's a lot.
- 12:38SPEAKER_07: So clearly, this woman, the judgment is in favor of her.
- 12:42SPEAKER_07: I would just like to tweak her response a little bit so she could get a conversation that does her some good as opposed to the one that she's about to have.
- 12:49SPEAKER_07: Right, right, right, right.
- 12:50SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 12:51SPEAKER_08: And you say it all the time, right?
- 12:52SPEAKER_08: Talk about don't talk about the thing in the moment when the emotion is informing you, right?
- 12:58SPEAKER_08: Just give it a few hours and then come back to it and see how you feel about it.
- 13:02SPEAKER_08: Absolutely.
- 13:04SPEAKER_03: Judgment call.
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: Am I the asshole for challenging my husband's work wife?
- 13:12SPEAKER_08: Okay.
- 13:12SPEAKER_08: All right.
- 13:13SPEAKER_08: A challenge.
- 13:14SPEAKER_08: Let's see.
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: My husband has been working at the same company for the last nine years.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: Over the last few years, he's developed a friendship with a female colleague.
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: To be fair, he mentioned her to me many times.
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: I know that they get lunch together at work, and she brings him snacks home every now and again.
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: My husband himself has mentioned this.
- 13:37SPEAKER_00: I also know that the colleagues share personal details with him, including her struggles with finding a good boyfriend.
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: My husband has been giving her advice on what to look for in a boyfriend and men in general to help her out.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: We have both discussed her situation as well.
- 13:53SPEAKER_00: However, lately I found out, again, from my husband, that she had invited him over to her house.
- 14:01SPEAKER_00: She's hinted that she wants to go out on trips and hikes with him.
- 14:05SPEAKER_00: And they have had lunch at restaurants together, go out on walks after work, hug him before leaving work.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: Apparently, she would skip coming to work if my husband also happens to not go to work that day.
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: All of this is making me very uncomfortable.
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: I mentioned it to my husband and he just dismissed it completely, saying that he would never cheat.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: Why would he even mention all this to me if he was cheating?
- 14:32SPEAKER_00: He said that she had been a very good friend and likes to spend time with her at work, and that I'm being selfish and wanting to destroy a good friendship.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: Now our own relationship has not been in great shape.
- 14:45SPEAKER_00: We haven't been that intimate emotionally or physically for years.
- 14:49SPEAKER_00: We've slept in different rooms for years.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: We're intimate maybe once or twice a year on average.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: But that's a separate topic.
- 14:56SPEAKER_08: No, it's not.
- 14:58SPEAKER_08: Not at all.
- 14:59SPEAKER_08: No, it's not.
- 15:00SPEAKER_08: Not at all.
- 15:00SPEAKER_08: It's not a separate topic.
- 15:02SPEAKER_00: I know that I need to spend more time with my husband, but I've been busy with kids and work.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: I want him to put more effort into us, but I feel him getting more distant.
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: In light of this, I'm not sure if I'm even in my right to challenge my husband on his work wife.
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: Am I the asshole for doing it?
- 15:20SPEAKER_07: There's like nine levels of stuff we got going on here.
- 15:25SPEAKER_07: First of all, the condition of the marriage to begin with is not good.
- 15:29SPEAKER_08: No.
- 15:30SPEAKER_07: Separate bedrooms, no intimacy.
- 15:32SPEAKER_07: Right.
- 15:32SPEAKER_07: You know, and that's I think that's what she's jealous about.
- 15:36SPEAKER_07: It's not, he goes, I would never cheat.
- 15:38SPEAKER_07: And that may very well be true physically, but an emotional cheat is much more devastating to us women than you know what I mean.
- 15:45SPEAKER_07: It's just like you care for her and you talk to her and you walk with her, and the two of us don't snacks.
- 15:53SPEAKER_07: Snacks.
- 15:54SPEAKER_07: She's hugging you at work.
- 15:55SPEAKER_07: She don't come to work unless you're there.
- 15:59SPEAKER_08: So they are what we they are in what we call a sexless marriage.
- 16:03SPEAKER_08: Right.
- 16:03SPEAKER_08: Sexless marriage is defined as you have sex less than six times per year.
- 16:07SPEAKER_08: Right.
- 16:07SPEAKER_08: Okay.
- 16:08SPEAKER_08: That qualifies as sexist.
- 16:09SPEAKER_08: Once or twice, that means it's her birthday, his birthday.
- 16:12SPEAKER_08: That's it.
- 16:13SPEAKER_08: Not even Christmas.
- 16:15SPEAKER_08: Right?
- 16:16SPEAKER_07: They're a birthday nookie, and that's that's that's all.
- 16:19SPEAKER_08: So so that they're in a tough place.
- 16:20SPEAKER_08: Now, there's a trend, there's a going growing trend of couples, married couples in separate bedrooms now, right?
- 16:27SPEAKER_08: Bedroom divorce.
- 16:29SPEAKER_08: I get to protect my sleep, you get to protect yours, we can wake up rested, and that's so that's a whole that may be a separate issue.
- 16:35SPEAKER_09: Right.
- 16:36SPEAKER_08: But the two times a year, yeah, I think you I think you're spot on.
- 16:39SPEAKER_08: It's a she's she's jealous of the emotional connection, as she should be, because they don't have that.
- 16:45SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 16:46SPEAKER_08: So what got in the way?
- 16:48SPEAKER_07: She says that she doesn't pay enough t attention to him.
- 16:51SPEAKER_07: I mean, she pretty much admitted to not paying much much attention to him.
- 16:55SPEAKER_07: So if he wasn't getting his emotional fulfillment from her, he went elsewhere for it.
- 17:00SPEAKER_07: And he felt because he didn't actually physically cheat, it it was okay.
- 17:05SPEAKER_07: And I understand his reasoning.
- 17:07SPEAKER_08: Right.
- 17:08SPEAKER_07: He needed to get it somewhere, but the way you get it is you turn around and the conversation is with the wife.
- 17:14SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 17:14SPEAKER_07: Not the work wife.
- 17:15SPEAKER_08: Not the work wife, not the work wife.
- 17:17SPEAKER_08: Because there's a lot of there's a lot of tenderness and caring that's going on with him and the work wife, right?
- 17:22SPEAKER_08: Not only in order to bring him snacks, she needs to know what his favorite snacks are.
- 17:27SPEAKER_07: That's a right, and when you're going on walks with people, you're having long conversations.
- 17:34SPEAKER_08: You're having long conversations.
- 17:35SPEAKER_08: And the fact that she is so disappointed when he's not at work, she don't she don't even want to be there.
- 17:43SPEAKER_08: If Zaddy's not there, I don't want to be there.
- 17:46SPEAKER_08: I don't want to go.
- 17:47SPEAKER_08: I don't want to go.
- 17:48SPEAKER_08: So it's um, you know, I don't have kids, but it's time for a PTO meeting.
- 17:52SPEAKER_08: We need a parent teacher conversation, right?
- 17:54SPEAKER_08: Right?
- 17:54SPEAKER_08: And they need to have a really long conversation.
- 17:57SPEAKER_08: It sounds like she is inundated with uh being a mom and taking care of the kids, and I'm sure doing the business of running the house and all that kind of stuff.
- 18:07SPEAKER_08: Uh and he's and he's slowly but surely gravitating to affection elsewhere.
- 18:11SPEAKER_08: Now let me ask you a question Do you know where do most people find the folks who they cheat with?
- 18:16SPEAKER_08: Of course.
- 18:17SPEAKER_08: That's where you are.
- 18:18SPEAKER_08: That's where we are.
- 18:19SPEAKER_08: Because we never look outside for people to cheat.
- 18:22SPEAKER_08: We cheat with who's around us.
- 18:25SPEAKER_08: So they got a problem.
- 18:27SPEAKER_08: They got a big problem here.
- 18:28SPEAKER_07: But I think their underlying problem is not the work wife.
- 18:32SPEAKER_07: She's a symptom of that of that which is already occurring, yeah, which is they are they've become disconnected.
- 18:38SPEAKER_07: Right.
- 18:38SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 18:39SPEAKER_08: So the question now is for her, what can we do to to reconnect?
- 18:43SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 18:43SPEAKER_08: You know?
- 18:44SPEAKER_07: And the thing you have to, you know, I always I love listening to things like this because it reminds you that you have to take care of your relationship.
- 18:54SPEAKER_07: You it it it's like it's like a flower in the garden.
- 18:58SPEAKER_07: You have to water it, it has to have some sunshine, it has, you know, they it can it can survive some shade.
- 19:03SPEAKER_07: Right.
- 19:03SPEAKER_07: But you know what I mean.
- 19:04SPEAKER_07: And then you gotta know what kind of plant you got, you know, whether it like sunshine or not, because we're all individuals.
- 19:09SPEAKER_07: Everybody's individual.
- 19:10SPEAKER_08: So uh the a good relationship, you know, like like you had over decades, it's a series of falling in and out of love.
- 19:19SPEAKER_08: Yeah, right.
- 19:20SPEAKER_08: And so this is the phase where they're not so much in love.
- 19:23SPEAKER_08: So question for them is how do we fall back?
- 19:26SPEAKER_08: Right?
- 19:26SPEAKER_08: What what can I do?
- 19:27SPEAKER_08: And and she'd be amazed, little things, right?
- 19:30SPEAKER_08: What he's missing is the little things, little things, the caring, the tenderness, the times where I know you considered me.
- 19:35SPEAKER_08: Right, right.
- 19:36SPEAKER_07: She's gonna learn about how you're doing.
- 19:38SPEAKER_07: Right, right, right, right.
- 19:38SPEAKER_08: So she would be amazed how much easier, how how easy it is to open that door to falling back in love again.
- 19:44SPEAKER_08: It sounds like a big deal because she's focused on the outside thing, but if she brings it back in-house, there's a lot of little things you can do.
- 19:51SPEAKER_08: Yeah, right, to really kind of reconnect, including asking him.
- 19:56SPEAKER_08: What I need to do, no, asking him what's missing.
- 19:59SPEAKER_08: Hey man, listen, I don't know if you realize this, but last year we only had sex twice.
- 20:05SPEAKER_08: You know, yeah, I would like to have sex more than that.
- 20:07SPEAKER_08: I mean, I don't know about you.
- 20:08SPEAKER_08: I don't know.
- 20:09SPEAKER_08: Right, we can have a real conversation about this thing.
- 20:11SPEAKER_07: That's a tough one to have though.
- 20:14SPEAKER_07: Is it?
- 20:15SPEAKER_07: Isn't it?
- 20:16SPEAKER_07: I don't think so.
- 20:17SPEAKER_07: It's the elephant in the room.
- 20:19SPEAKER_07: That's why it's an elephant.
- 20:22SPEAKER_07: It's this big, massive thing, and people don't but the fact that it's a difficult conversation to have does not mean you shouldn't have it.
- 20:30SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 20:30SPEAKER_07: Let me put it that way.
- 20:32SPEAKER_08: For sure.
- 20:32SPEAKER_08: And what I found is a hard conversation can get incredibly easy once you find the emotional leader in the room.
- 20:40SPEAKER_08: Somebody's just gotta go first.
- 20:41SPEAKER_08: Because they're both dying to talk about it.
- 20:43SPEAKER_08: Yeah, you know, they just are.
- 20:45SPEAKER_08: He's over here, he's doing he's doing so much.
- 20:49SPEAKER_08: He goes to bed at night in his own bedroom wondering I wonder what she's gonna say something about that.
- 20:55SPEAKER_08: You know?
- 20:56SPEAKER_07: And in the meantime, he is uh satisfying his emotional needs elsewhere, that's right, which is a very dangerous thing.
- 21:02SPEAKER_08: It's a very dangerous thing, it's a slippery soap, it's only a matter of time before that line gets crossed.
- 21:07SPEAKER_08: We're humans and we all have those moments of humanity.
- 21:10SPEAKER_07: Yeah, so judgment call for judgment call for oh yeah, the marriage council that they need to go to absolutely 1,000%.
- 21:18SPEAKER_07: They need they need to, and if they can't have the conversation on their own, they need to get a third party get in to have that conversation.
- 21:24SPEAKER_08: Absolutely, 100%, 100%.
- 21:26SPEAKER_08: That was a great one.
- 21:27SPEAKER_07: It was.
- 21:28SPEAKER_07: Yeah, it was a lot of layers.
- 21:30SPEAKER_08: A lot of layers.
- 21:30SPEAKER_07: What do you guys think?
- 21:32SPEAKER_07: What do you think the first thing they need to do?
- 21:34SPEAKER_07: Should she just go?
- 21:35SPEAKER_07: Should she have a conversation?
- 21:38SPEAKER_07: Should she meet work wife in the parking lot?
- 21:46SPEAKER_07: As a judge, I would I would I would ask that that that occurred.
- 21:49SPEAKER_08: That should not happen.
- 21:51SPEAKER_07: I don't want to see you later on and have to pretend Jay.
- 21:54SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that should not happen.
- 21:55SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 21:56SPEAKER_07: It was funny.
- 21:59SPEAKER_03: Judgment.
- 22:00SPEAKER_03: Call.
- 22:01SPEAKER_04: Why don't y'all please explain to me how the f I'm supposed to not catch a charge today after my husband's self-appointed work wife refused to let me talk to my husband on the phone today?
- 22:14SPEAKER_04: I woke up this morning and decided to be a good little wife.
- 22:17SPEAKER_04: And uh I thought, you know what?
- 22:18SPEAKER_04: I'll surprise my husband on his lunch break.
- 22:21SPEAKER_04: So, you know, about 30 minutes before lunch, I call up to his office and uh his uh self-proclaimed work wife answers the phone.
- 22:28SPEAKER_04: Yeah, the one that refers to me as his outside wife.
- 22:32SPEAKER_04: That bitch.
- 22:33SPEAKER_04: So I'm like, hey, you know, I need to talk to my husband.
- 22:36SPEAKER_04: And she's like, uh, I just really don't think that's gonna happen.
- 22:39SPEAKER_04: And I'm like, um, i excuse me, like, ring me back to his office.
- 22:44SPEAKER_04: She's like, he's just he's really tied up right now.
- 22:47SPEAKER_04: I just I can't I can't bring myself to ring his office.
- 22:52SPEAKER_04: He's he's really tied up.
- 22:53SPEAKER_04: I'm like sitting there thinking, girl, if you don't fing do this right now, I'm about to come up there and ring something else if you know something.
- 22:59SPEAKER_04: I said, not that it's any of your business, but there's a bit of an emergency, and I'm gonna need you to put him on the line.
- 23:04SPEAKER_04: And she said, shh, I mean, he's he's already committed to lunch, if that's what the emergency is.
- 23:10SPEAKER_04: All right.
- 23:11SPEAKER_04: I think I've heard enough.
- 23:14SPEAKER_08: I've heard enough.
- 23:15SPEAKER_08: She she's she starts off saying she might catch a charge.
- 23:19SPEAKER_08: I'm gonna pass this to you.
- 23:21SPEAKER_07: I don't even know what to say.
- 23:23SPEAKER_07: I mean, uh, I really don't know what to say.
- 23:27SPEAKER_08: Uh well, uh, work wife has identified the target.
- 23:32SPEAKER_08: She's storming the castle.
- 23:33SPEAKER_08: There is a breach.
- 23:35SPEAKER_08: There is a breach, yeah.
- 23:36SPEAKER_08: Right?
- 23:37SPEAKER_08: That work wife is work wife is doing all the things strategically to cut outside wife, which is hilarious, that term.
- 23:44SPEAKER_07: And the fact that her husband uses it and calls her the outside wife, there's a there's no defining their terms.
- 23:49SPEAKER_07: I was the wife.
- 23:51SPEAKER_07: The article, T-H-E, wife, no type of wife.
- 23:55SPEAKER_07: Wife.
- 23:56SPEAKER_08: Wife, yeah, yeah.
- 23:58SPEAKER_08: So so she's got a problem here.
- 24:00SPEAKER_08: Um and she's got it's gotta start with him, right?
- 24:04SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 24:04SPEAKER_07: It's got to.
- 24:06SPEAKER_08: You gotta have a conversation.
- 24:08SPEAKER_08: Hey, uh, do you know I tried to call you for lunch today?
- 24:11SPEAKER_08: And let me tell you what happened.
- 24:12SPEAKER_07: Right.
- 24:14SPEAKER_08: Right.
- 24:14SPEAKER_08: What happened?
- 24:15SPEAKER_08: We're gonna roleplay.
- 24:16SPEAKER_08: What happened?
- 24:16SPEAKER_08: No, I didn't know.
- 24:17SPEAKER_08: I was I was eating a burrito that my work wife had made for me and brought to work.
- 24:22SPEAKER_08: So I didn't, I didn't even, she didn't even tell me you called.
- 24:24SPEAKER_08: What happened?
- 24:24SPEAKER_08: What happened?
- 24:26SPEAKER_07: He's gonna get himself in trouble if he don't pay attention.
- 24:29SPEAKER_07: Yes.
- 24:30SPEAKER_07: And the work wife was really just ridiculous.
- 24:33SPEAKER_07: You cannot, you cannot get in between those two.
- 24:38SPEAKER_08: Work work wife is turning screws.
- 24:39SPEAKER_07: Yes, she is.
- 24:40SPEAKER_08: Work wife has identified something she wants and she is she is going for it.
- 24:44SPEAKER_08: You know what I mean?
- 24:45SPEAKER_07: Judgment call is against work wife, I'll tell you that.
- 24:48SPEAKER_08: Work wife is all kinds of wrong.
- 24:49SPEAKER_07: All kinds of wrong.
- 24:51SPEAKER_08: You he's he's committed to lunch.
- 24:54SPEAKER_08: I'm sorry, he's already committed.
- 24:57SPEAKER_08: I'm surprised she had court of charge already.
- 25:00SPEAKER_08: In that moment.
- 25:01SPEAKER_07: In that moment, yeah.
- 25:03SPEAKER_07: It's hard to say chilly on some things.
- 25:05SPEAKER_07: It is, it is.
- 25:06SPEAKER_07: Yeah, that's uh it's a hot moment.
- 25:09SPEAKER_08: That's a lot, but it's so insidious, right?
- 25:11SPEAKER_08: It doesn't happen on the first day of work, not the first, it's something that builds over time.
- 25:16SPEAKER_07: Yeah, and the next thing you know, you got a work wife.
- 25:19SPEAKER_07: Right.
- 25:19SPEAKER_07: And anticipate having one.
- 25:21SPEAKER_08: And it's at a you not only do you have a work wife, but it's a term that you find cute and endearing.
- 25:28SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 25:28SPEAKER_08: Right?
- 25:29SPEAKER_07: And then you also renamed your wife the outside wife.
- 25:32SPEAKER_07: That that in other words, you're designating status.
- 25:35SPEAKER_07: Right.
- 25:36SPEAKER_07: Like, I'm the only one.
- 25:37SPEAKER_07: If I'm the wife, I'm the wife.
- 25:38unknown: Right.
- 25:39SPEAKER_07: You know, so judgment call is really against the work wife, though.
- 25:43SPEAKER_07: She was she was just wrong nine le nine ways from Sunday.
- 25:46SPEAKER_08: Nine ways from Sunday.
- 25:47SPEAKER_08: Be careful if you're leaving work late because uh you might have a conversation in the parking lot.
- 25:53SPEAKER_07: Yes.
- 25:56SPEAKER_03: Judgment call.
- 26:00SPEAKER_00: Am I the asshole for micro cheating when my girlfriend was actually cheating?
- 26:05SPEAKER_08: Uh-oh.
- 26:07SPEAKER_00: Hello, everyone.
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: As of recently, me and my girlfriend have been on not so great terms, and I'm looking for some insight.
- 26:14SPEAKER_00: So basically, I, 45 male, have been accused of quote unquote micro-cheating by my girlfriend, 47 female.
- 26:24SPEAKER_00: You see, she goes to bed quite early, about 9 p.m., because she works early in the morning.
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: But I don't usually go to bed until 12 at night because I work later than her.
- 26:35SPEAKER_00: She started getting very mad saying that I had to go to the bed at the same time as her.
- 26:39SPEAKER_00: I disagreed and said it wasn't that big of a deal.
- 26:42SPEAKER_00: I even offered to lay in bed with her until she fell asleep, but that did nothing to make her feel better.
- 26:48SPEAKER_00: However, in the middle of this fight, I discovered something that she was cheating on me with my ex-stepbrother, 57 female.
- 26:58SPEAKER_08: Wait, wait, say that more again?
- 27:00SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 27:00SPEAKER_00: However, in the middle of the fight, I discovered that she was cheating on me with my ex-stepbrother.
- 27:08SPEAKER_07: She was cheating on me with my ex-stepbrother.
- 27:11SPEAKER_07: Okay.
- 27:11SPEAKER_00: I was quite upset, obviously, but we agreed to try to work through it.
- 27:16SPEAKER_00: But now she started throwing my staying up later than her into the conversation about her cheating.
- 27:21SPEAKER_00: She claims that I'm micro-cheating by staying up at night instead of going to sleep with her.
- 27:27SPEAKER_00: I calmly explained that I feel like those are not equivalent, but she won't believe it.
- 27:33SPEAKER_00: She's saying if she's gonna recommit to me, I need to recommit to her.
- 27:38SPEAKER_00: Am I the asshole for saying these are not equivalent actions?
- 27:41SPEAKER_00: My family and Facebook friends are blowing up my phone, telling me I should just start going to bed with her, but I don't know.
- 27:48SPEAKER_07: Micro cheating.
- 27:50SPEAKER_07: Is now is that a common term?
- 27:52SPEAKER_07: Micro-cheating.
- 27:53SPEAKER_08: It's becoming more and more common.
- 27:55SPEAKER_08: But there's no agreed upon set of definition for what that is, right?
- 28:00SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 28:00SPEAKER_08: Um first of all, there is no universe, no planet, no galaxy where me going to bed three hours later than you is equivalent to you cheating with my ex-stepbrother.
- 28:12SPEAKER_07: Brother, brother-in-law, ex-whatever.
- 28:16SPEAKER_07: How is that the same?
- 28:17SPEAKER_07: How is that even in the same ball?
- 28:19SPEAKER_08: Great try on her part.
- 28:20SPEAKER_08: I love the try.
- 28:22SPEAKER_08: However, however, there was no such thing where that's the same thing.
- 28:25SPEAKER_08: I mean, come on.
- 28:26SPEAKER_07: Yeah, and she's just trying to walk away from her own sin.
- 28:29SPEAKER_07: Right.
- 28:29SPEAKER_07: By by calling somebody else's actions that are not remotely similar, similar.
- 28:36SPEAKER_07: Someone else's actions that are not remotely similar as a sin.
- 28:40SPEAKER_07: And you just can't you just can't designate it as that and make it that.
- 28:44SPEAKER_07: No, no, no.
- 28:45SPEAKER_07: Micro cheating.
- 28:46SPEAKER_07: Because you didn't go into bed.
- 28:47SPEAKER_07: You just trying to get it.
- 28:49SPEAKER_08: And what's his what he his family is like, oh yeah, that's a micro cheat.
- 28:55SPEAKER_08: You should just go to bed and say, that's not good advice.
- 28:58SPEAKER_08: That's not that's not the that's not the advice he needs to hear.
- 29:01SPEAKER_08: At all.
- 29:02SPEAKER_08: At all, right?
- 29:03SPEAKER_08: Can can we talk about the affair she's having?
- 29:05SPEAKER_08: Can we talk about that?
- 29:06SPEAKER_08: Are we allowed to talk about that?
- 29:08SPEAKER_08: Micro cheating.
- 29:09SPEAKER_07: Oh well.
- 29:11SPEAKER_07: That made me mad.
- 29:12SPEAKER_07: My own kind, too.
- 29:13SPEAKER_08: You know what I mean?
- 29:14SPEAKER_08: That's just like uh so what's the fix?
- 29:17SPEAKER_08: What I'm thinking about what could be a fix for them.
- 29:19SPEAKER_08: Well, they're gonna have to have the conversation.
- 29:20SPEAKER_08: She's gonna have to stop sleeping with the ex-step brother, or whoever it is, you know, the ex-family member.
- 29:26SPEAKER_08: That's gotta that's gotta stop.
- 29:27SPEAKER_08: They can do couples do this all the time.
- 29:29SPEAKER_08: There's a lot of couples who do shift work, right?
- 29:32SPEAKER_08: So um my my sister and my brother-in-law, you know, for years, they're as as she's coming in, he's going out, or vice versa.
- 29:40SPEAKER_08: But you you've got to schedule that together time for sure, whether it's time on the couch or time in your bed or what that's like.
- 29:47SPEAKER_08: Yeah, whatever that's like the calendar's got to become your your sex toy, right?
- 29:51SPEAKER_08: Right?
- 29:51SPEAKER_08: That's the we put it on the calendar and we do the thing so they can start there, but there's a lot of couples who sleep cycles are different, right?
- 29:58SPEAKER_08: Right?
- 29:59SPEAKER_08: Person to person, male to female.
- 30:01SPEAKER_08: And so he doesn't have to go into bed because now he's gonna start for feeling resentful.
- 30:05SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 30:05SPEAKER_08: Right?
- 30:06SPEAKER_08: That's hey, those those two or three hours, that's I look forward to that time.
- 30:09SPEAKER_07: And he's doing nothing in the bed.
- 30:11SPEAKER_07: You know what I mean?
- 30:12SPEAKER_07: That that's a that's a big ask, I think.
- 30:14SPEAKER_08: I think that's a big ask, you know what I mean?
- 30:16SPEAKER_08: Um, and I think the bigger ask is gonna be hey, uh, do you think you can stop sleeping with the with what about the affair?
- 30:24SPEAKER_07: You know what I mean?
- 30:25SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 30:25SPEAKER_07: I mean, I they're not even equivalent.
- 30:27SPEAKER_07: I don't even know.
- 30:28SPEAKER_07: I mean, but that's what people do.
- 30:30SPEAKER_07: They they pick on what they have in order to hide their own sin.
- 30:35SPEAKER_07: They have to, you know.
- 30:37SPEAKER_08: And there may be a reason why he doesn't want to go to bed with you at nine o'clock now, right?
- 30:42SPEAKER_08: Because there may be some things.
- 30:43SPEAKER_08: My guess is there's some things resentment there, right?
- 30:46SPEAKER_07: Yeah, yeah.
- 30:48SPEAKER_08: And I need to stay up and think about some things for an hour or two before I before I join you.
- 30:53SPEAKER_08: You know what I mean?
- 30:54SPEAKER_07: And asking for accommodation after you cheated.
- 30:57SPEAKER_08: Oh, that's rich.
- 30:58SPEAKER_08: It isn't it?
- 30:58SPEAKER_08: That's a mmm.
- 31:00SPEAKER_07: Accommodate me now.
- 31:01SPEAKER_07: I've cheated on you.
- 31:02SPEAKER_07: Now accommodate me.
- 31:03SPEAKER_08: If you wanted to stop, here's what you can do.
- 31:05SPEAKER_08: Yeah, that's a hostage situation.
- 31:06SPEAKER_07: Yes, definitely judgment in favor of him.
- 31:09SPEAKER_08: Yeah, come on, come on.
- 31:12SPEAKER_07: So uh-ish, what did we learn today?
- 31:15SPEAKER_08: Uh well, we learned uh work wives have power.
- 31:20SPEAKER_08: Yeah, right?
- 31:21SPEAKER_08: Work wives are a thing.
- 31:23SPEAKER_08: As we think about how many uh folks are single these days, right?
- 31:28SPEAKER_08: It kind of makes sense.
- 31:29SPEAKER_08: Yep.
- 31:30SPEAKER_08: We're not gonna go without the connection.
- 31:32SPEAKER_08: We are humans, we run on energy, we run on connection, and we are not gonna go without it.
- 31:36SPEAKER_08: If we're not getting it at home, we're gonna get it somewhere else.
- 31:39SPEAKER_08: Absolutely.
- 31:40SPEAKER_08: I'm on a flirt with the lady at Zaxby's, I'm on a flirt with the folks at Target, I'm gonna get it somewhere, that validation, and work is the easiest place to get it.
- 31:48SPEAKER_07: Those situations can turn into situations that can be marriage-ending, even if it isn't a real isn't a sexual relationship, but that's true intimacy, especially that guy that was walking and talking and all of that.
- 32:00SPEAKER_07: I mean snacks.
- 32:01SPEAKER_07: Snacks bringing him snacks.
- 32:04SPEAKER_08: That's a problem.
- 32:05SPEAKER_08: So I think there's a question.
- 32:07SPEAKER_08: If you got an issue with a work wife, if you're a husband uh and you've got an issue with a work husband, I think it's a simple conversation over dinner.
- 32:16SPEAKER_08: And it starts off like this.
- 32:17SPEAKER_08: Should I be worried about work wife?
- 32:19SPEAKER_08: I see they're texting you.
- 32:20SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 32:20SPEAKER_08: Should I be worried about it?
- 32:21SPEAKER_07: And I love that lighthearted reproach, you know, because it it it it starts the conversation off in a in a in a way that it looks like we're trying to resolve something as opposed to destroy one another.
- 32:31SPEAKER_08: Right, right, right.
- 32:32SPEAKER_08: And I say, should we?
- 32:34SPEAKER_08: Should we be worried about that?
- 32:36SPEAKER_08: This is because it's eight o'clock.
- 32:37SPEAKER_07: Because it's our marriage is right is at risk, not just me.
- 32:41SPEAKER_07: Right.
- 32:41SPEAKER_08: Should we be worried or no?
- 32:42SPEAKER_08: We what do you think?
- 32:43SPEAKER_08: And then watch their reaction and see what happens.
- 32:46SPEAKER_08: If it's defensive, you got a problem.
- 32:48SPEAKER_08: Right.
- 32:48SPEAKER_08: If it's not, and we have a conversation, then good.
- 32:50SPEAKER_08: That's what it's supposed to do.
- 32:51SPEAKER_08: It's supposed to lead.
- 32:52SPEAKER_08: And that's the way you really diffuse the hard conversation before it starts.
- 32:56SPEAKER_08: It doesn't have to be hard.
- 32:57SPEAKER_07: Hard conversation, timing, tone, and topic.
- 33:00SPEAKER_07: Figure out what where it is, what it is, what you want to get done, and have it at the right time.
- 33:05SPEAKER_08: All right, so some really juicy topics.
- 33:07SPEAKER_08: Very.
