- 0:04Speaker 1: Big things happen when you're pretty, pretty bold, pretty clever,
- 0:08Speaker 1: pretty strong. I'm Danielle Robe and each week my guests
- 0:12Speaker 1: and I have conversations that put a new spin on
- 0:15Speaker 1: pretty This is pretty smart. Hello. We are just a
- 0:22Speaker 1: few days away from twenty twenty five, and I have
- 0:27Speaker 1: to tell you I'm in a really good mood this
- 0:29Speaker 1: morning because we have a great episode right in front
- 0:34Speaker 1: of us today. I tried to record this a few
- 0:37Speaker 1: times and I just wasn't in the right headspace. I
- 0:40Speaker 1: knew that when I recorded this, I had to be
- 0:45Speaker 1: at my very best so I could pour that energy
- 0:47Speaker 1: into you. And I'm going to tell you the story,
- 0:51Speaker 1: this longer story of this later. But you guys know,
- 0:54Speaker 1: I go on a trip once a year with my dad.
- 0:57Speaker 1: It's our annual trip. We pick a new place every year,
- 1:00Speaker 1: and I truly look forward to it every year. We
- 1:02Speaker 1: have so much fun together. And this year we went
- 1:05Speaker 1: to Costa Rica and I was so relaxed and I
- 1:08Speaker 1: was working a little bit, but you know, not a ton.
- 1:12Speaker 1: I was pretty offline and all of a sudden, my
- 1:15Speaker 1: ring alarm is ringing on my phone and I'm like
- 1:18Speaker 1: someone in my apartment. Long story, short, my apartment flooded,
- 1:25Speaker 1: and it is not how I thought I was going
- 1:29Speaker 1: to bring in the new year. So I had to
- 1:33Speaker 1: get over the sort of like momentary stress of that
- 1:38Speaker 1: to recognize the blessing in it, which there actually are
- 1:41Speaker 1: a few, and move forward and then record this episode
- 1:45Speaker 1: with love and with generosity. So yeah, I want you
- 1:49Speaker 1: to know that as we plan our New Year's action plans,
- 1:55Speaker 1: our twenty twenty five goals together, that I'm pouring so
- 1:58Speaker 1: much love into you, truly, with all my heart. I'm
- 2:02Speaker 1: in a hotel bed because I can't be at my
- 2:05Speaker 1: apartment drinking coffee and just sending you so much love.
- 2:10Speaker 1: I really know that you can do whatever you put
- 2:13Speaker 1: your mind and your heart into, and if you want
- 2:18Speaker 1: something different or you want something more, you can do it.
- 2:23Speaker 1: No one is stopping you except for you. So let's
- 2:28Speaker 1: jump into the heart of the episode. But I just
- 2:30Speaker 1: I want to say thank you, thank you for taking
- 2:34Speaker 1: time to be here together, and more so for taking
- 2:37Speaker 1: time for yourself. You know, we're all balancing so much.
- 2:39Speaker 1: We have work and family, and some people have caretaking
- 2:43Speaker 1: and cooking and hobbies and goals and challenges and dreams,
- 2:47Speaker 1: and it's just it's not always easy. And I think
- 2:53Speaker 1: we're all walking into today in this episode and the
- 2:57Speaker 1: new year with our own wins and losses and our
- 3:00Speaker 1: own special talents, but also our own special things that
- 3:03Speaker 1: we need to work on. And the one anecdote for
- 3:08Speaker 1: all of it is support. In order to go into
- 3:12Speaker 1: the world and be great, we need support, and support
- 3:17Speaker 1: can look different for everybody. Support to me sometimes is
- 3:20Speaker 1: listening to a podcast, you know. Sometimes I'll listen to
- 3:25Speaker 1: Glennon Doyle or I love the Pivot podcast just to
- 3:30Speaker 1: like learn about the markets or money. I love mel Robbins,
- 3:34Speaker 1: like sometimes I listen to other people for support. So
- 3:39Speaker 1: before we begin, I just want all of us to
- 3:41Speaker 1: leave everything at the door, all the stress, all the tension,
- 3:47Speaker 1: all the thoughts, and just start fresh in this space
- 3:51Speaker 1: so that so that we can really give ourselves permission
- 3:55Speaker 1: to be comfortable and make the most of this time.
- 3:58Speaker 1: So just close your eyes for a moment, notice your body,
- 4:03Speaker 1: your space, give yourself permission to be comfortable. This is
- 4:11Speaker 1: really your time and there's no right way to spend it.
- 4:16Speaker 1: You can listen to me setting my goals for entertainment.
- 4:21Speaker 1: You don't even have to set your own goals. If
- 4:23Speaker 1: you don't want to, just take a full breath in
- 4:26Speaker 1: through the nose, out through the mouth, let it go.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Feel your breath and your body. Thank yourself for showing
- 4:38Speaker 1: up just as you are. You've already shown yourself to
- 4:42Speaker 1: be powerful by saying yes to being here, to wanting
- 4:46Speaker 1: different or more. And I know that's why you're listening.
- 4:51Speaker 1: That's why I set goals every year too. I either
- 4:53Speaker 1: want different or more. And if you'll allow me, I
- 4:57Speaker 1: want to give a shout out to the thousands of
- 4:59Speaker 1: you who who have already taken advantage of the free
- 5:02Speaker 1: resource and gift that I created for you. And if
- 5:05Speaker 1: you don't have it yet, don't worry about it. You
- 5:07Speaker 1: can get it right now. It's a worksheet, a goal
- 5:11Speaker 1: setting tool. Some may call it a manifestation map, but
- 5:16Speaker 1: I like to call it an action plan, our new
- 5:18Speaker 1: Year's action plan, five steps to transform your year. And
- 5:24Speaker 1: I created it as a free download. It's at Danielle
- 5:28Speaker 1: Robay dot com. It'll pop up as soon as you
- 5:30Speaker 1: go to my website. Just throw your email in and
- 5:34Speaker 1: it'll download for you. And this action plan is how
- 5:38Speaker 1: I set my goals. I created it as a free download.
- 5:43Speaker 1: It actually took quite some time, but I created it
- 5:45Speaker 1: for free because I just want to say thank you.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Thank you for spending so much time with me this year.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Thank you for supporting the work that I do. Thank
- 5:56Speaker 1: you for prioritizing and listening to something that could actually
- 6:00Speaker 1: improve your life. If you're listening, I know it's because
- 6:04Speaker 1: you're someone who values growth and curiosity and some fun
- 6:09Speaker 1: along the way, for sure. And it's such a beautiful thing.
- 6:11Speaker 1: I don't take it for granted. This is the first
- 6:14Speaker 1: year that I've done this. I've never designed an action
- 6:18Speaker 1: plan before. But basically what I did is I put
- 6:25Speaker 1: together all of the things that I do to set
- 6:28Speaker 1: my goals, and really it was meticulously designed to help
- 6:32Speaker 1: you get clear about what you want. It also walks
- 6:36Speaker 1: you through questions that I think will empower you to
- 6:39Speaker 1: get clear about the change that you're looking for, the
- 6:43Speaker 1: specific goal that you're setting. I have to be honest
- 6:46Speaker 1: with you, I've only been doing this for three years.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Before that, I used to spend the New year maybe
- 6:54Speaker 1: traveling or on vacation, or just resting and taking time
- 6:58Speaker 1: for myself, all which are good things. But ever since
- 7:03Speaker 1: I started action planning, my life has gotten better. My
- 7:09Speaker 1: goals have gotten clearer, They've happened faster, and listen, if
- 7:16Speaker 1: we want to break it down to something very easy,
- 7:19Speaker 1: it's probably about the intention. But what I've done over
- 7:23Speaker 1: the course of the few years is it's gotten increasingly meticulous,
- 7:28Speaker 1: like how I design the action plan. At first, I
- 7:33Speaker 1: just studied Tony Robbins, and then I started implementing things
- 7:37Speaker 1: that I saw online from other people and how they
- 7:40Speaker 1: do it. And I basically took all of these things
- 7:42Speaker 1: that I love from other people as well as added
- 7:46Speaker 1: my own questions and some of my own instincts, things
- 7:49Speaker 1: that I like to do, like calendar, and put it
- 7:51Speaker 1: all in one place. For you. When I tell you
- 7:55Speaker 1: it was meticulously designed, it was so for the last
- 8:01Speaker 1: three years. It's helped me take steps forward in my life.
- 8:05Speaker 1: And you can get your hands on it in less
- 8:07Speaker 1: than a minute. So just go to Danielle Robay dot com,
- 8:10Speaker 1: grab it and let's get into it today. Let's get
- 8:13Speaker 1: into it together. So we're talking about something that can
- 8:17Speaker 1: completely shift the way you approach your goals. And I'm
- 8:21Speaker 1: going to get into the specifics and specific goals that
- 8:25Speaker 1: I have so that you can have like an example,
- 8:28Speaker 1: but I want to talk about goals for a second,
- 8:30Speaker 1: because I do think that that word can feel overplayed,
- 8:34Speaker 1: especially around the new year. But this is not just
- 8:38Speaker 1: like scribbling a random list on a post it note.
- 8:40Speaker 1: This is about something way deeper. The truth is setting
- 8:44Speaker 1: the right goals, ones that are meaningful to you are
- 8:48Speaker 1: a complete game changer. Goals give your day purpose. They
- 8:53Speaker 1: make you feel like it's less monotonous and more exciting.
- 8:57Speaker 1: And the research backs that research that goals make you happier,
- 9:01Speaker 1: they reduce stress, they give you a stronger sense of
- 9:04Speaker 1: control over your life. It's pretty amazing. Right. Okay, here's
- 9:09Speaker 1: the thing. We can't just have goals, and it's not
- 9:12Speaker 1: even just about knowing how to set them. It's about
- 9:15Speaker 1: setting goals that actually work for you. And that's where
- 9:19Speaker 1: today's episode comes in. That's where the questions I'm going
- 9:22Speaker 1: to ask you comes in, because we're going to dig
- 9:26Speaker 1: into goal setting and also why so many of us
- 9:30Speaker 1: struggle sticking to our goals. Here's the spoiler, it's not
- 9:34Speaker 1: your fault. Most of us were never taught how to
- 9:35Speaker 1: do this. I know I wasn't. So my goal, my goal,
- 9:40Speaker 1: my goal for all of us. By the end of
- 9:42Speaker 1: this episode is that you will feel clearer and at
- 9:45Speaker 1: least have one goal, probably more that lights you up,
- 9:51Speaker 1: and more importantly, a plan to move forward to move
- 9:54Speaker 1: toward it. Okay, we're going to cover a lot of ground.
- 9:59Speaker 1: This is your chance to reflect and reset and create
- 10:02Speaker 1: some momentum. But I want to do it together. Okay,
- 10:07Speaker 1: so let's get ready to question everything and create our
- 10:11Speaker 1: new year's action plan. The first step and I have
- 10:15Speaker 1: this printed out if you hear my pages, because I'm
- 10:17Speaker 1: going to go through it with I'm going to go
- 10:20Speaker 1: through it with you. Okay. So Step one is reflect
- 10:22Speaker 1: on this year with curiosity and clarity. So one of
- 10:26Speaker 1: the things that I love doing is writing down highlights
- 10:31Speaker 1: and low lights from this year while they're still fresh
- 10:34Speaker 1: in your mind, because, believe me, a year later, you
- 10:37Speaker 1: forget and it's so fun to look back on them.
- 10:39Speaker 1: I'm going to share a few of mine, and it's
- 10:42Speaker 1: really important to not just write the highlights, you have
- 10:44Speaker 1: to share the low lights too. So a lot of
- 10:47Speaker 1: mine had to do with work this year, which was interesting.
- 10:50Speaker 1: But I went to Costa Rica with my dad and
- 10:55Speaker 1: learned how to smoke cigars and learn how to play craps.
- 11:00Speaker 1: I hosted the Clinton GLO Global Initiative, which made me
- 11:04Speaker 1: feel like I was one step closer to my Hillary
- 11:06Speaker 1: Clinton interview. I Oh. I sat in Gloria Steinem's living
- 11:10Speaker 1: room thanks to my friend Keeley. I saw a few
- 11:14Speaker 1: plays on Broadway and off Broadlight Broadway. I saw Omary
- 11:18Speaker 1: and Hell's Kitchen. I spent three weeks in New York
- 11:21Speaker 1: and went on the tamer and Hall Show for the
- 11:23Speaker 1: first time with the bright Side. I Oh, guys, this
- 11:27Speaker 1: is embarrassing, but I bought my first designer bag. I've
- 11:31Speaker 1: always been obsessed with sex and the city, and the
- 11:35Speaker 1: bag meant something to me. It's the purple Fendy Sequin
- 11:38Speaker 1: bag that gets stolen from Carrie. I've never been a
- 11:41Speaker 1: thing person, but that bag just meant something more than
- 11:45Speaker 1: a bag to me. I got to meet Reese Witherspoon.
- 11:49Speaker 1: I met her at Shinaway this year and got to
- 11:51Speaker 1: interview her for the bright Side podcast, which has been
- 11:54Speaker 1: such a highlight of my year. I went to Jamaica.
- 11:57Speaker 1: I like to talk about where I've been or I've traveled,
- 11:59Speaker 1: so I don't forget. Went to Jamaica and I saw
- 12:03Speaker 1: something called Ocho Rios, which was really an oh my
- 12:07Speaker 1: god moment. It's sort of this like outdoor It's like
- 12:11Speaker 1: a natural water park, but it's all you know, it's
- 12:14Speaker 1: not man made. And that is the moment that I
- 12:18Speaker 1: felt most alive this year. I just was so present
- 12:22Speaker 1: and happy and almost like high, you know, like a
- 12:27Speaker 1: natural high. So I wanted to remember that. I took
- 12:31Speaker 1: so many obligatory meetings. Some of them led to connections,
- 12:34Speaker 1: and some of them felt like I was just giving
- 12:36Speaker 1: my time, money, and energy. Up Pretty Smart was on
- 12:39Speaker 1: the Apple podcast charts on New and Noteworthy. I got
- 12:43Speaker 1: a lot closer with my brother. I flew to Chicago
- 12:47Speaker 1: and stayed with him one weekend, and we really I
- 12:51Speaker 1: felt like it was a game changer in our relationship.
- 12:54Speaker 1: That was so special for me. I cleaned out my closet.
- 12:58Speaker 1: That was fun and a shit show, but I felt
- 13:02Speaker 1: a lot better getting rid of things. I had stuff
- 13:05Speaker 1: in my closet from college and I've moved so many times.
- 13:07Speaker 1: In LA I volunteered at step Up. I talked about money,
- 13:11Speaker 1: I made money, I lost. I felt like I became
- 13:15Speaker 1: a really comfortable live host this year. There's always more
- 13:19Speaker 1: to learn, but I feel like I got the process
- 13:21Speaker 1: down I was so proud of that. Oh, I was
- 13:23Speaker 1: vulnerable on social media for the very first time. I
- 13:27Speaker 1: made a video where I actually cried. I talked about
- 13:30Speaker 1: something that Billy Porter said to me, and that terrified me.
- 13:34Speaker 1: I was just truly terrified to post that. I wrote
- 13:39Speaker 1: down some good conversations I had at work, some tough
- 13:42Speaker 1: conversations I had at work. I wrote down the names
- 13:45Speaker 1: of a few new girlfriends I made. I feel like
- 13:47Speaker 1: I expanded my circle. I also kind of parted ways
- 13:52Speaker 1: with a friend this year, so I don't know if
- 13:54Speaker 1: my circle expanded, but it contracted and expanded. I guess.
- 13:59Speaker 1: I laughed a lot with my college girlfriends. That was
- 14:03Speaker 1: really fun. We make sure we see each other at
- 14:06Speaker 1: least once a month and we giggle for hours. Giggle
- 14:10Speaker 1: sounds so rudimentary, but we do. We just laugh so hard.
- 14:14Speaker 1: So yeah, I don't want to bore you. But those
- 14:17Speaker 1: are some of the things that I put in. You
- 14:19Speaker 1: can add things about your relationship good and bad, your
- 14:23Speaker 1: communication skills good and bad, things you ate, where you traveled,
- 14:28Speaker 1: whatever whatever comes up for you. It's sort of like
- 14:30Speaker 1: a free writing exercise, and I think it's really important,
- 14:34Speaker 1: not just for your memory, bank, but also to reflect
- 14:37Speaker 1: on the next year, to see what you've done and
- 14:41Speaker 1: you know, to me, it seems like a lot of
- 14:43Speaker 1: this year was work focused, whereas a lot of things
- 14:46Speaker 1: I wrote down last year were actually more like communication
- 14:50Speaker 1: focus therapy focused more about personal expansion. Okay, So within
- 14:56Speaker 1: step one, which is reflect with curiosity and clarity, is
- 15:00Speaker 1: looking back questions to reflect. Now you know, I'm the
- 15:05Speaker 1: queen of questions, so I was really thoughtful about these questions.
- 15:12Speaker 1: I think there's about like twenty of them on here.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Pick three words to describe this past year. What's the
- 15:18Speaker 1: bravest thing you did? What two things lit you up
- 15:21Speaker 1: and drained you? What three things can you give yourself
- 15:24Speaker 1: credit for this past year? What promise do you keep
- 15:27Speaker 1: breaking to yourself? What was a valuable lesson you learned
- 15:32Speaker 1: this year that you want to carry into the next
- 15:35Speaker 1: Who poured into you this year that you want to think?
- 15:38Speaker 1: What's one thing you've been holding on to that you're
- 15:40Speaker 1: ready to let go of. I think you know you
- 15:44Speaker 1: don't have to answer all of these if you feel
- 15:45Speaker 1: like some of them are tough to answer, But I
- 15:48Speaker 1: do think go through as many of these as you
- 15:50Speaker 1: can and reflecting helps you get into the mindset of
- 15:55Speaker 1: pushing forward. I think it's sort of like like you
- 15:59Speaker 1: just let it all out, you put it all onto
- 16:01Speaker 1: the page, and then you have a clean slate. And
- 16:05Speaker 1: these questions are crafted for two specific reasons. One is
- 16:09Speaker 1: to really like get you in tune with what you're
- 16:13Speaker 1: feeling and who you are in this moment, and the
- 16:16Speaker 1: other is to start the reflection so that you are
- 16:23Speaker 1: like open minded, open hearted, so you can get really
- 16:26Speaker 1: clear about this next year. Okay, I feel like it's
- 16:31Speaker 1: boring if I go through the answers to those questions
- 16:34Speaker 1: with you. Maybe I'll just do a few to give
- 16:36Speaker 1: you an example. Okay, what's the bravest thing you did
- 16:41Speaker 1: this year? Two things came up for me. One, I
- 16:43Speaker 1: had some really tough conversations that I didn't want to have,
- 16:47Speaker 1: Like my body was actually physically against it. It felt
- 16:50Speaker 1: like so avoidant, and I had to get over that
- 16:53Speaker 1: and have the conversation. The other thing that came up
- 16:57Speaker 1: was I bet on myself. You know, I pour so
- 16:59Speaker 1: much money in time into this podcast and the card games,
- 17:04Speaker 1: and you never know where it's going to go. But
- 17:07Speaker 1: incredible surprise, amazing things happen Okay, what's a promise that
- 17:13Speaker 1: you keep breaking to yourself? And why? I've said this before,
- 17:16Speaker 1: but it's the one that keeps coming up for me.
- 17:18Speaker 1: And I love connection. My whole world is really based
- 17:23Speaker 1: around connection. So I say yes to a lot of meetings.
- 17:28Speaker 1: And when I'm saying yes to those sometimes and to
- 17:33Speaker 1: other people, it really means I'm saying no to myself.
- 17:36Speaker 1: I realize that I need a lot of time and
- 17:40Speaker 1: like clear headspace. I'm not a person who loves appointments,
- 17:43Speaker 1: and in order to be sort of my fullest, most
- 17:48Speaker 1: creative and also just like rested self, I need free
- 17:53Speaker 1: time and I have not been giving myself that. What's
- 17:57Speaker 1: one thing you can forgive yourself for to move forward?
- 18:01Speaker 1: I think I'm tough on my mom and she as
- 18:09Speaker 1: much as i'd like to say, sometimes you know, we
- 18:12Speaker 1: have like a back and forth or communication that I
- 18:16Speaker 1: don't love like. I think I'm actually a bigger part
- 18:19Speaker 1: of that than i'd like to admit. And she deserves
- 18:22Speaker 1: some more respect and reverence than I give her, and
- 18:27Speaker 1: she gives me a lot of grace actually talking about her.
- 18:30Speaker 1: I talk about her on this podcast, I talk about
- 18:32Speaker 1: her on my other podcast, The bright side, and she
- 18:36Speaker 1: really lets me be who I am, and I'm actually
- 18:39Speaker 1: realizing I'm a lot more like her than I thought.
- 18:44Speaker 1: I don't know why I'm getting emotional saying that, but
- 18:46Speaker 1: I am. And so I want to forgive myself for
- 18:52Speaker 1: being tough on her, being harsh or short patience with her,
- 18:56Speaker 1: and I want to move forward with peace and love
- 18:59Speaker 1: and and really give her more reverence this year. Who
- 19:02Speaker 1: poured into you this year that you want to think,
- 19:04Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, this list is so long. That's a
- 19:07Speaker 1: hard one for me to answer, because really I want
- 19:10Speaker 1: to say all of you. So many of you guys
- 19:12Speaker 1: DM me or email me after these episodes, and that
- 19:15Speaker 1: really feels like pouring into me. I made a new
- 19:19Speaker 1: friend named Natalie. I really feel like she poured into me.
- 19:25Speaker 1: That list is long, so I think I'm going to
- 19:28Speaker 1: move on from that. But yeah, these questions are just
- 19:31Speaker 1: meant to open you up clearly like they did me unexpectedly,
- 19:35Speaker 1: and then you'll get to step two. Step two is
- 19:38Speaker 1: set goals, and these are really about free writing broad goals.
- 19:45Speaker 1: They're broken up into personal, professional travel. I have examples
- 19:49Speaker 1: on there, like physical or mental health boundaries, relationships, career, goals, leadership, influence,
- 19:55Speaker 1: community impact, finance. The goal for step two is just
- 20:00Speaker 1: to free write because we're actually going to get more
- 20:02Speaker 1: specific about your goals later. So just start flowing. Just
- 20:07Speaker 1: start things I want to accomplish this year, and you
- 20:10Speaker 1: can free write them. And this is just to get
- 20:13Speaker 1: it going. I will say something really interesting that I
- 20:18Speaker 1: learned about goals this year from I got to interview
- 20:21Speaker 1: an expert on discipline and an expert on motivation, and
- 20:24Speaker 1: there was one takeaway from each of those interviews, something
- 20:27Speaker 1: that both of the experts had in common that I
- 20:29Speaker 1: was shocked by. In order to stick to a goal,
- 20:35Speaker 1: stick to your motivation, and really do it, it requires not discipline.
- 20:41Speaker 1: It doesn't require you to write it down, none of
- 20:44Speaker 1: those things. What it requires is joy. Do you like
- 20:48Speaker 1: doing it? The professor who studied motivation for thirty years said,
- 20:53Speaker 1: if you'd set a goal to go to the gym
- 20:55Speaker 1: every day or get into a certain type of shape,
- 20:58Speaker 1: and you don't like going to the jim, you will
- 21:01Speaker 1: not accomplish that goal. Now, that's not meant to say
- 21:05Speaker 1: that goals don't stretch you or challenge you, because they do.
- 21:09Speaker 1: A goal is something that actually requires challenge because it
- 21:12Speaker 1: requires change. It's not something you wish for, and it's
- 21:16Speaker 1: definitely not something that's going to happen on its own.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Of course, demand's effort and intention and even a little discomfort,
- 21:22Speaker 1: and that's what makes them worth it. Right. But if
- 21:26Speaker 1: you take a moment to think about something that you've
- 21:28Speaker 1: wanted for a long time, something that feels like it's
- 21:31Speaker 1: out of reach but not impossible, that's the sweet spot.
- 21:37Speaker 1: And you have to make sure that there is joy there.
- 21:41Speaker 1: If it's not tied to something personal and meaningful to
- 21:44Speaker 1: you and joyful, it's not going to stick. Okay, here's
- 21:49Speaker 1: an example. Last year, one of my words of the
- 21:53Speaker 1: year was discipline, and we're going to set a word
- 21:56Speaker 1: of the year this year. But last year one of
- 21:58Speaker 1: them was disciplined. The other was worth Now, discipline, I
- 22:02Speaker 1: really thought was about my time, and also about going
- 22:07Speaker 1: to the gym early, because I knew if I didn't
- 22:09Speaker 1: do it before work, it wasn't going to happen. Now,
- 22:12Speaker 1: I like the gym. The gym does give me joy,
- 22:14Speaker 1: but waking up early it does not bring me joy.
- 22:17Speaker 1: I am not an early morning person, so I would
- 22:21Speaker 1: wake up and I would want to stay in bed
- 22:23Speaker 1: so badly, even knowing that I've paid for a trainer,
- 22:26Speaker 1: I still wouldn't care. That's how badly I wanted to
- 22:28Speaker 1: stay in bed. And then I would think to myself,
- 22:31Speaker 1: my word of the year is discipline. And you know
- 22:35Speaker 1: what brought me joy more than the gym or working out,
- 22:39Speaker 1: which was fun. Being a person who keeps my word.
- 22:43Speaker 1: That is so important to me. That brings me joy,
- 22:48Speaker 1: and that is what got me over the hump. So
- 22:53Speaker 1: make sure that your goals are not just about checking
- 22:55Speaker 1: off a box because you think you should. Like, don't
- 22:58Speaker 1: just say you want six pound as if you don't
- 23:02Speaker 1: maybe you don't care. I don't know that I care
- 23:04Speaker 1: about that. You know, you have to make sure that
- 23:07Speaker 1: you're creating a life that feels like yours. I'll give
- 23:11Speaker 1: you another example. Let's say your goal is to get
- 23:13Speaker 1: out of debt. It's not going to happen unless you're
- 23:15Speaker 1: willing to change your habits, right, whether it's spending less
- 23:19Speaker 1: or earning more. There's definitely like a little friction there,
- 23:24Speaker 1: but that's what makes it powerful. That contrast, and if
- 23:28Speaker 1: you're sitting here thinking I don't even know what I want,
- 23:32Speaker 1: let's go bigger. Sometimes we have to dream absolutely wildly
- 23:36Speaker 1: to see what our lives would look like without any limits.
- 23:40Speaker 1: That's something I've really struggled with. One of the things
- 23:42Speaker 1: I realized this year is that I had some limiting beliefs.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Maybe I still do and I don't even recognize them.
- 23:48Speaker 1: But my goal this year is to quantum leap. I
- 23:52Speaker 1: am trying to get rid of the limits that I
- 23:54Speaker 1: have put on my life because I have put them
- 23:58Speaker 1: on me, nobody else has. So let's go really brickin big.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Let's ask ourselves questions without limits. This is the time
- 24:07Speaker 1: to play and have fun. And just like you know
- 24:10Speaker 1: this worksheet, no one is going to see it besides
- 24:14Speaker 1: you throw the stuff on there that sounds insane. And
- 24:19Speaker 1: then towards step four and five, we're going to reverse
- 24:23Speaker 1: engineer it into smaller tangible steps. I think sometimes the
- 24:28Speaker 1: hardest part of goal setting is giving yourself permission to
- 24:30Speaker 1: want what you really want. So give yourself that gift. Okay,
- 24:37Speaker 1: one more thing if you're still stuck, because sometimes I
- 24:39Speaker 1: think it is hard to decide what we want. Sometimes
- 24:42Speaker 1: we don't know right, here's a question you can ask
- 24:45Speaker 1: yourself for a little perspective shift. I want you to
- 24:48Speaker 1: fast forward to the end of your life. You're on
- 24:51Speaker 1: your deathbed. What do you want to look back on?
- 24:55Speaker 1: What will you be proud of? It's probably not going
- 24:59Speaker 1: to be the hour as you spent scrolling Instagram. Maybe
- 25:03Speaker 1: it's learning a new language, a new skill, just more
- 25:07Speaker 1: hang time with people you love, creating something that feels
- 25:10Speaker 1: meaningful to you. There's so many different things it could
- 25:13Speaker 1: be for you, But use that as your starting point,
- 25:17Speaker 1: and I'll give you a more specific example. I interviewed
- 25:21Speaker 1: an actress. The interview hasn't aired yet, it's gonna come
- 25:24Speaker 1: out next year, but she wanted to make a movie
- 25:28Speaker 1: her whole life. She wanted to make this movie, and
- 25:30Speaker 1: she couldn't get a studio or a production company to
- 25:33Speaker 1: see it the way she saw it. They wouldn't give
- 25:36Speaker 1: her the funding she needed to make the kind of
- 25:38Speaker 1: movie she wanted. So she looked at her husband one
- 25:40Speaker 1: day and she said, I'm going to mortgage the house.
- 25:44Speaker 1: I'm gonna make this movie. And I said, that's insane,
- 25:48Speaker 1: because everybody who knows anything about movie making knows that
- 25:53Speaker 1: you never fund a movie yourself, like the chance that
- 25:57Speaker 1: you get your money back is so slim and she said,
- 26:00Speaker 1: I know that you don't think I knew that when
- 26:02Speaker 1: I was mortgaging my house. But I thought to myself
- 26:04Speaker 1: on my deathbed, do I want to be a person
- 26:07Speaker 1: who said, man, I'm really proud that I paid down
- 26:11Speaker 1: that mortgage, Or do I want to be a person
- 26:13Speaker 1: who said, yeah, I made that movie. I bet on
- 26:17Speaker 1: myself and I made that movie. And I know it's
- 26:20Speaker 1: easier said than done because there's also I don't know
- 26:23Speaker 1: what her finances are like, like maybe she had a backstop.
- 26:26Speaker 1: There's no need to be reckless. But I use that
- 26:28Speaker 1: example to share that when you're laying there at the
- 26:33Speaker 1: end of your life, you want to be a person
- 26:35Speaker 1: that went for it, whatever that means to you. I
- 26:39Speaker 1: also think make sure that these goals light you up.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Make sure you're invested in them. If they don't light
- 26:48Speaker 1: you up while you're writing it down, it's probably not
- 26:50Speaker 1: your goal. It's something maybe you think you should want,
- 26:53Speaker 1: or other people have told you you should want, or
- 26:55Speaker 1: social media tells you you should want, but make sure
- 26:59Speaker 1: it's yours. I think it's okay to admire things in
- 27:02Speaker 1: other people without wanting them for yourself. You don't have
- 27:06Speaker 1: to chase every dream, chase the one that feels true
- 27:09Speaker 1: to you. I think about Michelle Obama's memoir her title
- 27:13Speaker 1: Becoming often. I love that word becoming, because we're constantly becoming,
- 27:20Speaker 1: We're constantly evolving. And the beautiful thing about goals is
- 27:24Speaker 1: that they're about becoming. They help you define the person
- 27:29Speaker 1: that you want to be. And I actually I don't
- 27:32Speaker 1: think goals are a roadmap. I think we have to
- 27:34Speaker 1: be more specific with this worksheet. But with the worksheet,
- 27:37Speaker 1: you have a roadmap to getting there. And when those
- 27:41Speaker 1: goals align with who you are and what you and
- 27:43Speaker 1: what you care about, you, not anybody else, what you
- 27:46Speaker 1: care about, that's where the joy comes in. That's where
- 27:50Speaker 1: the work feels like, not like effort and more like
- 27:54Speaker 1: purpose and like joy. So here's your next step with
- 27:58Speaker 1: step two, write it down. What are the goals that
- 28:01Speaker 1: excite you? Okay, when we're intentional about what we want
- 28:07Speaker 1: and we're brave enough to go after it because it
- 28:09Speaker 1: is a very brave thing to do, that's when life
- 28:13Speaker 1: starts to feel extraordinary. Now I have been I don't
- 28:21Speaker 1: know how to say this. There's a lot of things
- 28:23Speaker 1: I'm not good at. There's things that are missing from
- 28:26Speaker 1: my life. Admittedly I'll share this more later, but I
- 28:30Speaker 1: think this year I'm really going to think about partnership
- 28:33Speaker 1: for the first time. That's missing from my life. So
- 28:37Speaker 1: I'm not pretending to know that I have all the answers.
- 28:40Speaker 1: I have very few. I more have questions. But one
- 28:44Speaker 1: thing that I have been gifted with in my life
- 28:48Speaker 1: is purpose. I've had it since I was a very
- 28:50Speaker 1: little girl. Goals have lit me up since I can remember.
- 28:57Speaker 1: And that feeling of being lit it up when you
- 29:00Speaker 1: wake up in the morning, no matter what life throws
- 29:03Speaker 1: your way, whether kids are screaming, or partners are upset,
- 29:07Speaker 1: or you got into a car crash, whatever God forbid.
- 29:11Speaker 1: But you know what I mean, Like, no matter what
- 29:14Speaker 1: happens during your day, you still have your goals. And
- 29:18Speaker 1: that is truly like, I want that feeling for everybody.
- 29:22Speaker 1: It's so extraordinary and everybody has it in them. We
- 29:26Speaker 1: all have that whisper, we just have to tap into it.
- 29:30Speaker 1: So I want to see where this year takes you.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Step three, create your blueprint and you set your goals
- 29:38Speaker 1: with intention. So this is when we start to get
- 29:41Speaker 1: a little bit more specific. The first thing is a mantra.
- 29:46Speaker 1: What is the one phrase that you'll come back to
- 29:48Speaker 1: when you need encouragement. Because this isn't easy. And one
- 29:52Speaker 1: of the things that we're going to do and why
- 29:55Speaker 1: we're writing it down on this worksheet, is we need
- 29:58Speaker 1: to come back to it. I've actually never done this,
- 30:02Speaker 1: so I'm going to do it with you. But Nancy Twine,
- 30:04Speaker 1: who's a huge manifestor, told me that I can't just
- 30:09Speaker 1: be coming back to my goals or my vision every
- 30:14Speaker 1: month or every few months. She says that she actually
- 30:17Speaker 1: comes back to hers sometimes every week and then we'll
- 30:19Speaker 1: have affirmations around it. So I'm going to try to
- 30:21Speaker 1: do this with you every single week. So the mantra
- 30:25Speaker 1: or the phrase when you need a reminder, what is
- 30:27Speaker 1: that for you? I'm going to share the three of
- 30:29Speaker 1: mine this year. Mine is yes please and like yes
- 30:34Speaker 1: more you know, yes please, and the law least effort,
- 30:41Speaker 1: simple easy. I want to keep taking action and keep
- 30:46Speaker 1: expecting it and watching it rise. I don't want to
- 30:48Speaker 1: be surprised when good things come my way. That's part
- 30:52Speaker 1: of the yes please, And the main one for me
- 30:57Speaker 1: is the hard part is over. My twenty twenty five
- 31:02Speaker 1: is about a quantum leap, and so the mantra that
- 31:06Speaker 1: I will come back to is the hard part is over.
- 31:08Speaker 1: You know, I think one of my limiting beliefs that
- 31:10Speaker 1: I had is that I was raised in a good way.
- 31:17Speaker 1: I think to believe that hard work is a necessity,
- 31:21Speaker 1: but I think I internalized it in a way that
- 31:24Speaker 1: felt like if I didn't work hard, I didn't deserve it,
- 31:26Speaker 1: I didn't earn it. And it's interesting, that's not how
- 31:29Speaker 1: life works. People get things they don't earn all the time.
- 31:33Speaker 1: So that's where the law of least effort comes in
- 31:36Speaker 1: for me. The hard part is over and that brings
- 31:40Speaker 1: me to the word of the year. I want you
- 31:42Speaker 1: to think about one word that's going to encapsulate your year.
- 31:47Speaker 1: I told you last year my word was discipline and worth,
- 31:51Speaker 1: and I really worked on those two things. It's helpful
- 31:54Speaker 1: to have the word, and I'm excited to share with
- 31:57Speaker 1: you that my word of the year this year is joy.
- 32:02Speaker 1: And you know, joy is really love for me. That's
- 32:05Speaker 1: the one tattoo I have and I need to remind
- 32:07Speaker 1: myself more of it. I originally thought my word was
- 32:10Speaker 1: going to be possibility. Breathe into what's possible and prioritize,
- 32:14Speaker 1: maybe like prioritize myself, say no to obligation and yes
- 32:18Speaker 1: to myself. More time in the morning, more reading, more learning.
- 32:22Speaker 1: But really all of that is joy. It is about
- 32:28Speaker 1: saying yes to joy, not doing the obligatory thing, not
- 32:34Speaker 1: doing necessarily the right thing, doing the joyful thing. The
- 32:40Speaker 1: next quadrant in step three is what do I want
- 32:43Speaker 1: to feel at the end of the year, And this
- 32:46Speaker 1: actually comes from a huge CEO. A friend of mine
- 32:49Speaker 1: shared this with me, and she said, you know, we
- 32:52Speaker 1: all have these goals and even a word of the year,
- 32:56Speaker 1: but we get to December and most of us feel
- 33:00Speaker 1: spent and burnt out and just like trying to make
- 33:04Speaker 1: it to the end, to that vacation or those few
- 33:06Speaker 1: days off. So instead, think about the feeling you want
- 33:11Speaker 1: in December of twenty twenty five and make sure, let's
- 33:15Speaker 1: try and make sure throughout the year that we're doing
- 33:18Speaker 1: things that lead us to that feeling. So in twenty
- 33:22Speaker 1: twenty five, in December, if I want to feel centered
- 33:24Speaker 1: and grounded and energized, not pulled out or exhausted, having
- 33:29Speaker 1: accomplished my goals with joy and fervor and wholeness, what
- 33:34Speaker 1: do I need to do to feel that way? In December. Now,
- 33:38Speaker 1: music for me like really gives me a reminder even
- 33:42Speaker 1: if I don't feel good, if I feel sad or
- 33:44Speaker 1: uninspired or down. So I have us choosing a song
- 33:49Speaker 1: to remind us of that goal of that word of
- 33:53Speaker 1: our year. For me, the song is Goodness of God
- 33:56Speaker 1: by C. C. Winans. And then in tangent with that,
- 33:59Speaker 1: I have a question. We have to have one question
- 34:02Speaker 1: that we keep coming back to, similar to that word,
- 34:05Speaker 1: because we forget and sometimes we don't know how to
- 34:08Speaker 1: make decisions right for instance, so I'll get my question
- 34:13Speaker 1: is does this bring me joy? Because that is my
- 34:15Speaker 1: word of the year, and that question is going to
- 34:18Speaker 1: help me when I'm making decisions. For instance, if I
- 34:20Speaker 1: get an invitation to something via email, the question is
- 34:24Speaker 1: does this bring me joy? And then I know very
- 34:26Speaker 1: quickly whether I'm going to say yes or no to it. Okay.
- 34:31Speaker 1: The other part is an accountability partner? Do you want one?
- 34:36Speaker 1: You may not. I actually sometimes don't like accountability partners
- 34:40Speaker 1: because my goals feel very personal and I just don't
- 34:44Speaker 1: feel like I need one. But actually, with finances, I
- 34:47Speaker 1: do feel like I need an accountability partner, and it's
- 34:49Speaker 1: helpful for me to have girlfriends that I can call
- 34:52Speaker 1: who are honest, who chat about their finances, and we
- 34:56Speaker 1: have our goals together. So do you want an accountability
- 35:00Speaker 1: partner for your goals for twenty twenty five? And if so,
- 35:03Speaker 1: who's it gonna be? Okay? And then celebration. Do you
- 35:09Speaker 1: want to celebrate your milestones along the way? Are you
- 35:11Speaker 1: a person who likes to celebrate little wins? If so,
- 35:15Speaker 1: how are you gonna celebrate? Okay, here's where we get specific.
- 35:20Speaker 1: This is also in step three. Okay, So step three
- 35:23Speaker 1: is just a reminder create your blueprint, set goals with intention.
- 35:29Speaker 1: So we're gonna pick three main areas of growth. And
- 35:33Speaker 1: I'm I'm gonna gloss over this one because I don't
- 35:36Speaker 1: I think unless you're looking at the worksheet, it's a
- 35:40Speaker 1: little bit hard to follow audibly. But basically, you're gonna
- 35:44Speaker 1: pick three main areas of growth. And this is this
- 35:47Speaker 1: is probably the most challenging part of this whole worksheet.
- 35:50Speaker 1: It's the least fun because it's the hardest to answer.
- 35:54Speaker 1: And if you find yourself having difficulty with this, think
- 35:58Speaker 1: about those questions again what lights you up? But also
- 36:01Speaker 1: feel free to be in conversation with people sometimes that
- 36:03Speaker 1: helps me a lot. Okay, So the first goal, the
- 36:07Speaker 1: first main area. It could be partnership and love. It
- 36:10Speaker 1: could be communication, it could be leadership, it could be career,
- 36:15Speaker 1: it could be finance, whatever it is that is on
- 36:18Speaker 1: your heart. The three main areas, and we pick three
- 36:22Speaker 1: because I think it's hard to have five or ten,
- 36:24Speaker 1: you know, like, we really want to focus in my
- 36:26Speaker 1: three this year are partnership and love, financial and career.
- 36:31Speaker 1: And then we have a measure metric for each one.
- 36:35Speaker 1: And the measure metric is how will we know if
- 36:37Speaker 1: we did it? So for finance, and these are not
- 36:41Speaker 1: my personal finance goals, but is the measure metric that
- 36:46Speaker 1: you make one thousand dollars a week pre tax income gross, Like,
- 36:54Speaker 1: I think it's important to get really specific. What is
- 36:58Speaker 1: your measure metric, what is the goal. And then we
- 37:01Speaker 1: have steps to create movement, so you can write down
- 37:05Speaker 1: all of the income that you have right now, things
- 37:08Speaker 1: that are coming in, and then things that you think
- 37:12Speaker 1: could be possibilities, right because the best part about goals
- 37:17Speaker 1: is you set them and then beautiful other things happen.
- 37:20Speaker 1: Because part of this is about momentum. So if you
- 37:23Speaker 1: are in the momentum of working hard towards something beautiful.
- 37:28Speaker 1: Unexpected elements come in. So even though you write down
- 37:31Speaker 1: steps to create movement, other things are going to come
- 37:34Speaker 1: in that are unexpected. But I want you to write
- 37:36Speaker 1: down things that could bring you financial gain. And then
- 37:43Speaker 1: the most important one, This is the fun part, the
- 37:45Speaker 1: pie and the Sky element, the thing that makes you think,
- 37:50Speaker 1: oh my god, that couldn't like that could happen to me.
- 37:53Speaker 1: Oh my god. So if you're a podcast host like me,
- 37:58Speaker 1: maybe the Pie and the Sky element is a million listeners.
- 38:02Speaker 1: That sounds crazy, but is it? And then the deadline
- 38:10Speaker 1: is the deadline December thirty first, twenty twenty five or
- 38:13Speaker 1: is it sooner? If one of the goals is better
- 38:17Speaker 1: communication with your mom or your partner or your kids,
- 38:21Speaker 1: maybe the goal is in three months. Maybe the deadline
- 38:25Speaker 1: is in three months. Okay? Step four calendar it. What
- 38:30Speaker 1: will you do when? Calendaring is a part of this
- 38:36Speaker 1: that has been hugely helpful for me and something I
- 38:39Speaker 1: don't see a lot of other worksheets or people implementing
- 38:43Speaker 1: for me more than even Step three, which is the
- 38:48Speaker 1: steps to create movement and the measure metrics. For me,
- 38:51Speaker 1: the calendar is actually the most helpful. So we have
- 38:55Speaker 1: quadrants of months January, February, March, April, et cetera. What
- 38:59Speaker 1: are you going to do when we all have a
- 39:02Speaker 1: limited bandwidth? What are we going to do in January?
- 39:08Speaker 1: If I am able to focus on the question everything
- 39:11Speaker 1: card game in January, I'm going to put that down
- 39:14Speaker 1: and then on February, I'm going to focus on live
- 39:17Speaker 1: events in March. And you have to be more specific
- 39:20Speaker 1: than that, actually, like which event, where are you going
- 39:22Speaker 1: to put where are you going to have it, etc.
- 39:24Speaker 1: Get really specific, but calendar when you're going to do it.
- 39:28Speaker 1: And it's okay if you know, most years I don't
- 39:32Speaker 1: actually accomplish everything that I set out for each month.
- 39:34Speaker 1: Sometimes they move months, sometimes they fall off the calendar,
- 39:39Speaker 1: but you have to have the intention to calendar it. Okay,
- 39:44Speaker 1: Now we're on the last step and step five is
- 39:49Speaker 1: actually really fun. Step five is questions, because the best
- 39:56Speaker 1: questions lead to the brightest answers. I think when we're
- 40:01Speaker 1: looking towards the next year, part of it is just
- 40:03Speaker 1: getting really clear with ourselves. It's really hard to do.
- 40:08Speaker 1: We don't give ourselves the space and time, and I think,
- 40:10Speaker 1: honestly this could all take you maybe like an hour
- 40:13Speaker 1: an hour and a half. Are you willing to give
- 40:16Speaker 1: yourself that time to do this entire worksheet? Mine took
- 40:20Speaker 1: me about I have to be honest. Mine took me
- 40:22Speaker 1: about three hours, and I didn't do it cumulatively. I
- 40:25Speaker 1: did an hour here, twenty minutes there. I actually called
- 40:29Speaker 1: and except my executive coach and spent an hour on
- 40:33Speaker 1: the phone with her reworking some things, and she actually
- 40:37Speaker 1: helped add to this worksheet. Some of the questions she
- 40:40Speaker 1: asked me and ways we went about things really helped.
- 40:43Speaker 1: So Step five is questions what limiting belief are you
- 40:48Speaker 1: ready to let go of? How we'll releasing it transform
- 40:51Speaker 1: your life. What's one thing you want to quit, try start, learn, have,
- 40:55Speaker 1: and continue to do. What areas of your life need decluttering.
- 40:59Speaker 1: How can you simplify to create more space for joy.
- 41:03Speaker 1: What's one thing you've been putting off that you will
- 41:05Speaker 1: accomplish this year? What would happen if you really really
- 41:09Speaker 1: focused on it? I told that story last year, but
- 41:12Speaker 1: this questions reminding me of it. You know, I went
- 41:15Speaker 1: to that workout class and this guy Paully, who's the teacher.
- 41:19Speaker 1: At the end of the class said, Danielle, what would
- 41:22Speaker 1: happen if you really went for it? And I was like,
- 41:25Speaker 1: I'm a little bit of a back pain, like I
- 41:27Speaker 1: couldn't give it my all? What do you mean went
- 41:29Speaker 1: for it? Like I? I? You know, I was kind
- 41:32Speaker 1: of like flustered. And he said, no, Danielle, what would
- 41:36Speaker 1: happen if you really went for it and gave it
- 41:39Speaker 1: your all? And his question haunted me throughout the whole
- 41:42Speaker 1: day because I've always been a person who felt like
- 41:44Speaker 1: I was giving it my all. But I was in
- 41:47Speaker 1: a place where I was frustrated with work and frustrated
- 41:50Speaker 1: with my finances. My life did not look the way
- 41:55Speaker 1: I wanted it to or the way I imagined it would,
- 41:58Speaker 1: or feel like it didn't feel good. And I was happy,
- 42:02Speaker 1: I was okay, but I just I was not thriving,
- 42:05Speaker 1: and his question haunted me, and I decided that night
- 42:09Speaker 1: that I was going to give it my all. I
- 42:11Speaker 1: was going to give my career my all. I was
- 42:13Speaker 1: going to be a seventy percent daughter and maybe a
- 42:15Speaker 1: seventy percent friend and not have the perfect gift when
- 42:18Speaker 1: I entered a dinner party, I was going to lower
- 42:22Speaker 1: because we can't give one hundred percent in all areas
- 42:25Speaker 1: of our lives all the time. But I was going
- 42:28Speaker 1: to give one hundred and ten percent to my career,
- 42:31Speaker 1: and that year my career changed and my finances changed.
- 42:35Speaker 1: And I share that to say, if you want something,
- 42:39Speaker 1: if you really want something, what would happen if you
- 42:42Speaker 1: really focused on it and gave it your all? Just
- 42:45Speaker 1: think about that. There's some other questions in here that
- 42:50Speaker 1: are about dreaming. There's some that are taking stock in
- 42:56Speaker 1: what you want your life to look like, who will
- 42:59Speaker 1: you listen to more attentively, what you can give to
- 43:01Speaker 1: other people this year, and also what you can give
- 43:04Speaker 1: to yourself? And the last question is something that is
- 43:09Speaker 1: really really important in all of these goals. The last
- 43:12Speaker 1: question is what would you do this next year if
- 43:15Speaker 1: you knew you could not fail? That is the question
- 43:18Speaker 1: that takes away all your limiting beliefs. What would you
- 43:22Speaker 1: do if you knew you could not fail? Be the
- 43:26Speaker 1: person on your deathbed who made the movie Trying is Winning.
- 43:31Speaker 1: I don't even believe in the word failure. Who knows
- 43:33Speaker 1: where all the trying gets you? Who knows where what
- 43:37Speaker 1: the trying brings to your life? The relationships, the experiences,
- 43:41Speaker 1: the love, the joy, the fun, even the heartache. All
- 43:45Speaker 1: of that's important too. What would you do if you
- 43:49Speaker 1: knew you could not fail? Okay, this episode was way
- 43:55Speaker 1: longer than I thought it would be, but glad we
- 44:00Speaker 1: were in it together because you guys give me strength.
- 44:07Speaker 1: This podcast keeps me so hopeful. I really, really really
- 44:12Speaker 1: hope it does the same for you, and I want
- 44:15Speaker 1: you to know that you got this. You know, around
- 44:18Speaker 1: this time of year, people talk about the secret to blank,
- 44:23Speaker 1: the secret to manifesting, the secret to goal setting, the
- 44:25Speaker 1: secret to improving your life. And you know what the
- 44:29Speaker 1: secret is. There is no secret. There is nothing that
- 44:32Speaker 1: those people know that you don't. There is nothing that
- 44:35Speaker 1: they can do that you can't. They may have learned
- 44:41Speaker 1: a skill or have had conversations with people that enlighten
- 44:46Speaker 1: them that got them to this place that you are
- 44:48Speaker 1: looking at. But you can do it too. Give it
- 44:56Speaker 1: to yourself. You've got this. I cannot wait to see.
- 44:59Speaker 1: We're twenty two. Twenty five takes you. If you do
- 45:02Speaker 1: one thing this year, please just be brave enough to
- 45:07Speaker 1: go after what you want. You deserve it. Okay, have
- 45:15Speaker 1: a beautiful New year, and regardless of how you spend
- 45:19Speaker 1: January thirty first, whether it's fun or it's boring, or
- 45:22Speaker 1: whatever it is, that doesn't matter. Do this worksheet, do
- 45:26Speaker 1: this action plan, and I promise you you will be
- 45:29Speaker 1: lit up going into twenty twenty five. You will be energized.
- 45:32Speaker 1: You will feel ready to take it on. I love you,
- 45:37Speaker 1: and I'll see you next year. Okay, you know what
- 45:44Speaker 1: time it is. Today's a good day. To have a
- 45:47Speaker 1: good day. I'll see you next week.
